This parable is the first of three parables Jesus gives in Matthew 24 and 25. these are given in the context of Jesus' prophesies of the signs of His coming at the end of the Age. Matthew 24:1-44. Many of the signs Jesus spoke of are emerging in our time. The first parable concerns the growth of false teaches and false prophets coming into churches and bringing false teaching and causing strife and division in churches.
