- 1:17All right, ladies and gentlemen, this is the first time he's on
- 1:20the show. His father, one of the great
- 1:23home run hitters of his time, and his grandfather, ex Yankee,
- 1:29ex Detroit Tiger Mr. Cecil Fielder and Prince Fielder.
- 1:34And now a third generational player, the one and only
- 1:38Milwaukee Brewers second base prospect Jaden Fielder.
- 1:43Jaden, what's up man? This first time on a show, man.
- 1:46Yes, Sir. Thank you for having me.
- 1:47Absolutely. You kind of look like your dad,
- 1:49man. You definitely do you.
- 1:51You resemble Papa Dukes and yeah, little bit, little bit.
- 1:56I grew up a Cecil Fielder fan. I watched him in Detroit and
- 2:00there was one thing I remember more than anything.
- 2:03Cecil Fielder, at one point of his career, he was in Detroit
- 2:07and he bunted a ball and it it went over.
- 2:11It went over the wall in Detroit.
- 2:13I don't know if you ever seen it.
- 2:15It's one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
- 2:18Could you imagine a guy that that big just putting his bat
- 2:21out there and it just goes over the wall in Detroit?
- 2:25That's that's not an easy ballpark to hit home runs.
- 2:27Jabba knows that because he played in Detroit.
- 2:30It's not easy to do that. That's how strong your
- 2:32grandfather was. So and now you're a third
- 2:35generational player. What is it like playing for the
- 2:39Milwaukee Brewers organization? Like I've said before, it's a
- 2:42dream come true. Really.
- 2:44You know, I feel like I've known everyone here my whole life
- 2:47because I, you know, kind of have, it's a lot of the same
- 2:50staff and obviously a lot of, you know, Ricky and being the,
- 2:54you know, the assistant manager and all that.
- 2:56So I get to see him, you know, every spring training.
- 2:58And so it just, you know, it feels like I'm living my
- 3:01childhood, you know, over again, which is is a pretty good
- 3:05childhood. So yeah, I'm just, I'm blessed.
- 3:07So being that your dad obviously was a big like bigger power
- 3:10hitting first baseman, you being a second baseman, like was there
- 3:13like a different player type in the divide?
- 3:15Like how did he help you develop as a baseball player either 1 He
- 3:19was playing for one and then after his career when he was
- 3:21over. Well, I think, you know, when he
- 3:23was playing, I obviously we just got to see everybody.
- 3:26So it was, you know, teaching moments here and there when he
- 3:29was playing. But it's more so, you know,
- 3:30just, you know, look around, man, just kind of focus, you
- 3:33know what you're like. Don't take anything for granted
- 3:35because it's, you know, he always told me it's normal
- 3:38seeing legends like this every day.
- 3:39So I appreciate that. And I said, yeah, after you've
- 3:42done playing, it got more. That's when I was like turning
- 3:4514 and stuff. So that's when we kind of, you
- 3:46know, really started practicing. He always told me like, you
- 3:50know, have a good swing, because if your good swing gets you
- 3:53homers, it gets you homers. If you get to A-350 average, so
- 3:56be it. Like don't, don't try to hit
- 3:59homers like I did. I didn't really try to hit
- 4:01homers, he said. So, you know, it's just, I mean,
- 4:04I like to hit with some power, but it's more so about just
- 4:06hitting the ball hard and if it goes out, it goes out.
- 4:10Yeah, it's, it's funny, my son's, he's a sophomore in in
- 4:13college now too and he's pitching so a little bit
- 4:16different, but kind of the same thing.
- 4:18And I understand what your what your dad as as a player.
- 4:23It's different. It's just like you got 24 other
- 4:25dads Go, go play with them. Like I'll take care of you
- 4:28later. And then, you know, it's always
- 4:30interesting. You can speak on this too.
- 4:32It's like when we do retire and then we become like, you know,
- 4:35helping out and you're like, man, can you go back and like
- 4:37play because you are annoying the shit out of me right now
- 4:40because we're always around. So but let it's, it's one thing
- 4:43I love talking to, you know, generational kids that grew up
- 4:47in a clubhouse because people don't understand what that's
- 4:49like. And you know, for obviously my
- 4:52son going through it and he's 19 and, and a lot of lot of kids
- 4:57that, you know, get the opportunity, but but a lot
- 4:59don't. What what's the biggest thing?
- 5:01And you kind of touch on it, but from like the mental side of the
- 5:04game that that you maybe didn't recognize when you were going
- 5:08through it. But as you gotten older, you're
- 5:10like, man, I remember seeing doing this because there's a lot
- 5:13of things that you see, but it doesn't click right away until
- 5:17you get older, until you're put in that position to be like, Oh
- 5:19shit, I do. I do remember that.
- 5:21And this is what it takes to be successful.
- 5:26Shoot, I mean, I always noticed he he, he tried to be like
- 5:29really calm. That's what he's always told me.
- 5:31Like now it's like, you know, you can be angry, but you play
- 5:35tomorrow, like, or you can be super happy at a home run today,
- 5:38but you got a game tomorrow. Like it's not, it's never too
- 5:43high or low. It's just like, you know, it was
- 5:44a good game. Let's let's have a nice dinner.
- 5:47You know, let's get ready for tomorrow.
- 5:48It's kind of like that thing. And another thing I would say,
- 5:51like I would have noticed, like when he was at the house, he was
- 5:55always like, he always made sure like write his goals out and
- 5:58like always put him around that, like literally every around the
- 6:01house. It was like, you know, I'm going
- 6:03to be a I'm going to be successful in this, you know,
- 6:05I'm going to be successful in this just all around the house.
- 6:07So I think me seeing that as a kid, I was like, man, I kind of
- 6:12that's now that, you know, now I'm, I'm doing the same thing.
- 6:15I'm always, you know, writing things, you know, I want to be
- 6:17successful in this and this. So as a kid, I thought that was
- 6:20really cool. And now I'm really understand
- 6:22like why that was so important to him.
- 6:25We are talking to Milwaukee Brewers second base prospect
- 6:28Jaden Fielder. If you don't know who Jaden is,
- 6:30he's a third generational player.
- 6:32His father was Prince Fielder and his grandfather was Cecil
- 6:35Fielder. 2 baseball greats in their generation.
- 6:39So it's, it's a great story when you think about generational
- 6:43players. And we, we talk about that all
- 6:44the time. And, and what's so interesting
- 6:46about Milwaukee right now is you're going to get chance to
- 6:50see some of the young players that you're you've grown up with
- 6:53in the minor leagues and they're getting called up and they're
- 6:56playing sensational baseball. They're one of the hottest teams
- 6:58in baseball, top three team right now to win a World Series.
- 7:03What are your thoughts to some of the young players that you've
- 7:06seen or you've grown up with in the Milwaukee Brewers farm
- 7:09system? And where do you see this team
- 7:11going this year with all the great talent that they have on
- 7:15this team? Yeah, well, I've been playing.
- 7:17I played it in Spring Tramp. I played with, you know, Blake
- 7:19Burke and Marco Dean just, you know, Braylon, all of them.
- 7:23And yeah, I think what I've noticed everyone that's in the
- 7:26Milwaukee like organization, they're just like cool people
- 7:30really. You know, they're just all
- 7:31trying to, you know, come to their job and win every day.
- 7:35You know, no one's like weird or anything like that, which I
- 7:37really enjoy that Brewers definitely have a chance for the
- 7:39World Series. I don't know, they they've been
- 7:41beating up on the Dodgers real bad every time I watch them.
- 7:44I mean, if you can be the Dodger, I think you can be, you
- 7:46know, anybody really. Oh, you don't like the deferred
- 7:48money, You don't like the Shay Ohtani stories, all the the
- 7:52backlash that he's had with the betting scandal or, you know,
- 7:56hey, listen, if you want to. Buy innocent, tell proven
- 7:58guilty. Innocent tell.
- 7:59I don't know anything about that.
- 8:01I don't know anything about that.
- 8:03Let. Me tell you something this man
- 8:05right over here in the corner has been backing up Shay Ohtani
- 8:09since day one since he started with this show and I don't know
- 8:13what the love fest for this this guy is this guy has been in a
- 8:16scandal since Jabba started this show.
- 8:19Every six months this man's in a scandal and Jabba's.
- 8:22Like innocent until proven guilty.
- 8:24Innocent until proven guilty, his name stamped to every single
- 8:27thing. What's next?
- 8:28And, and he's still playing baseball and he's still rich.
- 8:31Yeah, you know why? You know why?
- 8:33Because baseball knows that he's an international phenom.
- 8:36That's the only reason why he's still playing baseball.
- 8:40Remember that conversation? He's global.
- 8:42He's the most popular. Oh, yeah, he's global.
- 8:43All right, so is my underwear. Let's go.
- 8:46All right, Speedy. I was going to ask about a guy
- 8:48that we had on the show last week actually, that your dad
- 8:51played with as well. He actually said he had some
- 8:52interesting stories about you that he couldn't tell you on
- 8:54there, and that was Corey Hart. Any interesting stories about
- 8:56him with? Any interesting stories of
- 8:59Corey? Yeah, man.
- 9:03Ones that you can know, Ones that you can tell you know how
- 9:06the. Yeah, I will say he, I remember,
- 9:13I think it was during spring training, but he has this like,
- 9:16I don't know if he has it now, but it was like this four, I
- 9:19think it was a four wheel drive, like open buggy, like a buggy
- 9:22with like the like the cage around you.
- 9:25And I remember we, I think we went, we drove to the gas
- 9:28station in it and then I drove back to his house and I thought
- 9:31that was like the coolest thing ever.
- 9:33I've never, I was in like a cage.
- 9:35I've never been like that before.
- 9:36So I thought that was pretty cool.
- 9:40I'm sure like a like like a Jeep, but it was like a buggy
- 9:43with a cage. It was like a little, it was
- 9:45like a, like a dirt, like a dirt buggy like.
- 9:49Oh yeah, dirt buggy. Yeah, I'm not.
- 9:53Talking about now. I know what they're called, but
- 9:55yeah. Hey, anybody want to go in Mr.
- 9:58Hart's dirt buggy and we'll we'll call it the Shag buggy.
- 10:01We'll call it the Shag Buggy. What Jayden so you, you were
- 10:08talking about how you saw pops go along and, and put goals in
- 10:11like what are some goals you set for yourself?
- 10:14Do you do you set them like yearly?
- 10:15Do you do you set mine was like at the beginning of the year.
- 10:19I I would set like benchmarks, like obviously obtainable ones.
- 10:22People, I understand you, you shoot for the stars.
- 10:26Hopefully you know, you hit the clouds or whatever.
- 10:29But do you set them like as you go and do you cross them off?
- 10:32And then once you cross them off, you make a new one?
- 10:35Because I think that's, I think that's really important for,
- 10:37for, for anybody in general, whether it's, you know, sports
- 10:41wise, business wise person, you know, all, all things to set
- 10:45goals and, and standards of, of attainable things.
- 10:48And so I, I love to hear you do that as, as a kid, like to see
- 10:53it and how you understand that that is important.
- 10:56So do you, do you do it like at the beginning of the year then
- 10:59like do you have like a 30 game checkup or, or how do you do it?
- 11:05I mean, before the see, it's usually, yeah, like right when
- 11:07the year starts, I mostly, I mostly just have like a list of
- 11:12like things to think about all the time.
- 11:15And they're actually like the lock screen on my phone.
- 11:17But it's like, you know, just I usually go like I'll set my
- 11:21goals for like my average and stuff.
- 11:23But like I make that at the beginning, like the I make that
- 11:26one time, I'll make the numbers like crazy high because I just
- 11:30want to see like, you know, like you said, shoot for the moon,
- 11:33land on the stars, whatever. So I do that one time.
- 11:36I don't, I don't look at that until like the end of the season
- 11:38though. But yeah, I just have like a
- 11:41checklist on my phone and I'll like sometimes updated.
- 11:44Like I mostly just go like one hard hit a day.
- 11:48Like that's that's all I'm looking for.
- 11:50And then, you know, and then obviously I got a little bit of
- 11:53speed. So I try to make it up on the
- 11:54bases, you know, with walks and stuff like that.
- 11:57But yeah, I'm more of, I'm more so like like the one hard hit a
- 12:00day or like, you know, be calm throughout the day.
- 12:04I'm more so like go over that type of stuff versus like the
- 12:07actual like stats of it. Your father and your grandfather
- 12:10have the same amount of home runs in their career.
- 12:12I don't know if you know that 319 home runs, which is pretty
- 12:16incredible. And when you look at it, it
- 12:18usually never works that way. When you look back at some of
- 12:21the guys or some of the fathers and sons that have played in
- 12:24professional sports, it really never has worked.
- 12:27And you got now obviously LeBron James and Bronny James and
- 12:31Bronny has a big hole to fill, lots of holes to fill with a guy
- 12:36like LeBron. He's one of the greatest, second
- 12:38greatest basketball player of all time, even though he thinks
- 12:40he's better than joining. He's on drugs.
- 12:41But that's just my opinion. And and we could go on and on
- 12:45and on with some of these guys. Scottie Pippen's son is in the
- 12:48NBA as well, trying to compare himself to his father.
- 12:51And then Gary Payton's son is playing in the NBA.
- 12:54So there's many fathers and sons.
- 12:57And then you look, Cecil, who has been a very successful
- 13:00hitter in his career as a baseball player with Detroit and
- 13:04then obviously with the Yankees, and then your father with the
- 13:07Milwaukee, with the Milwaukee Brewers.
- 13:10Are you surprised that your father with such big holes, you
- 13:14know, to fill with with what his grandfather did as a baseball
- 13:17player? Are you surprised your father
- 13:19achieved just as many goals as your grandfather did as a
- 13:22professional baseball player? Shoot, not really.
- 13:25I mean. He would have had more if he
- 13:26didn't get hurt. Just saying.
- 13:29Yeah, that is true. He also got robbed of like 2-2
- 13:33homers too, so he could have got more, but I don't know.
- 13:37I mean, I kind of know because he's like you said early, like
- 13:41the more I'm growing up, the more I'm realizing like how
- 13:43alike I am to him. And like whenever I think of
- 13:46baseball, I'm like, I'm trying to like I can be better than
- 13:49anyone who's ever played. And I know for a fact my dad
- 13:52especially know how big and strong he was at such a young
- 13:54age. I know he was thinking the same
- 13:56way. So I definitely, I definitely,
- 13:59you know, I definitely believe that he since he was young, he
- 14:02knew that he was going to be better or I mean just as good, I
- 14:06guess with the same amount of home runs.
- 14:08What, what is it like being around your grandfather and your
- 14:11father, two guys, 2 phenoms sitting at a dinner table and
- 14:15you're right there. And that's how they're going
- 14:17back and forth. And I'm sure they all, they both
- 14:20think baseball different, you know, differently.
- 14:23And one played in the 80s and the 90's, the other played in
- 14:26the 2000s. And you're sitting there and
- 14:29you're the grandson and the, and the son and you're trying to
- 14:32say, should I listen to grandpa or should I listen to dad?
- 14:36What is it like being in the same room with these two
- 14:39behemoths and and trying to trying to grasp what these guys
- 14:43are trying to tell you as a as a professional athlete?
- 14:46Well, they never, they never like argued about who is better
- 14:50and stuff like that. My dad's not, they're not like
- 14:52that type of we're not that type of family, just like arguing
- 14:56they're. Not competitive.
- 14:57They're not competitive. Not in, not in that way.
- 15:01You know, they're both great, so might as well be competitive and
- 15:04just like the information they give me.
- 15:06Yeah. Tell me stuff about, you know,
- 15:08pitches and all that. But not never like they never,
- 15:10like, went against each other. I'm better than you or this or
- 15:12that. Now, oh, come on, You're you're
- 15:14sitting at the table and never had fun.
- 15:16Is like God, Dad, I I hit the ball better than you.
- 15:19And oh, I could play Uno better than you.
- 15:21I'm a better poker player than you.
- 15:23All right, Let's play checkers, Dad, let's play checkers.
- 15:26I mean, your, your your father and your grandfather are not
- 15:29competitive like that. I can eat a hamburger faster
- 15:32than you, Prince. I mean a little bit little bit
- 15:34like that. Yeah, I guess just a little.
- 15:38Bit I mean, come on. Well, you're 2 professional
- 15:41athletes and your father was Cecil Fielder and and your your
- 15:47father is Prince and MVP. He was the Most Valuable Player
- 15:52in the major leagues. He was a great player.
- 15:54So and then you look at both of them, you're just trying to like
- 15:58my grandfather and my father are sensational and I have a chance
- 16:02to be better than them. That does that doesn't go
- 16:04through your mind as is something that you want to
- 16:07achieve. You want to be considered a
- 16:10third generational superstar like your your father and your
- 16:13grandfather were. Yeah, of course, of course.
- 16:15But I never, you know, they never looked as like any
- 16:18pressure, I guess. No, I'm not saying pressure.
- 16:20I'm not saying pressure, but it is pretty cool.
- 16:22There, Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:24It's just not. It's always, I've always been
- 16:27told that my, I mean, my dad said since I was a little kid,
- 16:29he's like, you can be a lot better than me because, you
- 16:31know, you got some speed that I unfortunately don't have too
- 16:35much of. But yeah, you can be, you can be
- 16:38just be the best you, you can be.
- 16:39You know, if that ends up being better or the same or worse, so
- 16:42be it. But if you exceed the most of
- 16:45your abilities, then that's all you can really ask for.
- 16:48So going back to whatever mentioned about the the rule,
- 16:50the rule changes and all the things that Rob Manfred trying
- 16:53to do in baseball, the minor leagues, it seems like is where
- 16:55the like they're basically you guys are the test dummies for
- 16:57these new rules. Obviously you said you're a
- 16:59speed guy, so I'm sure you like the bigger bases, but obviously
- 17:01the shifting being infielder and some of the other rules.
- 17:03What are your thoughts to all those?
- 17:05I think, I mean, that's the bigger bases were definitely I
- 17:08didn't realize how much the bigger bases actually like are
- 17:12so helpful. Like not even for like being
- 17:15safe or whatever. It's just so you can step on the
- 17:17bag and not have your foot this close to the other guy.
- 17:20Like I think that's that's definitely my favorite.
- 17:25I mean the shifts, that's obviously I hated the shifts
- 17:28even when they were, I mean, I just never understood them.
- 17:31Like it just doesn't even make sense baseball wise to have like
- 17:344 guys on the whole right side and leave this whole side open.
- 17:37That's just I thought that was a little bit dumb.
- 17:39But yeah, I like the I like the changes going on so far though.
- 17:42I will say what? Always.
- 17:45I ask my son this all the time growing up in.
- 17:48Look at you. Is that the buggy?
- 17:50Yeah, there it is. That's the buggy.
- 17:51That's the buggy, Yeah, that was.
- 17:52That's the. Buggy but yeah, I when you grow
- 17:56up in a club that you always have one where it's like, OK, I
- 17:59know he's going to this city. I I want to go to this city
- 18:02because whether it's the food, the shopping like or just
- 18:04whatever, was there one city that you're always like, oh, OK,
- 18:07pops like I'm I'm making sure I'm coming to this one.
- 18:12Let me see angels, angels for sure, because we got to stay in
- 18:17a real nice, you know, Los Angeles hotel, I'd say for like
- 18:21the were you a big. Room.
- 18:22Were you a big room service guy like my son he killed?
- 18:24Yeah, I was. I was terrible.
- 18:26Yeah, man. Y'all killed, I kill us.
- 18:30I know, yeah, I got yelled a few times.
- 18:32I would order it. Wait.
- 18:33I started ordering salmon one time.
- 18:35That's when my dad got real mad. He's like, dude, you don't even
- 18:37eat salmon. You don't even know what salmon
- 18:38is. Why are you ordering salmon?
- 18:40I'd say, yeah, I like that. And the Yankee Stadium, of
- 18:43course. That was like my favorite too.
- 18:45I will say this, I I've been to Yankee Stadium, the old Yankee
- 18:49Stadium in the new Yankee Stadium.
- 18:51The old Yankee Stadium is so much better than the new Yankee
- 18:54Stadium. I, I even like the food over
- 18:57there at the old Yankee Stadium more than the new Yankee
- 18:59Stadium. It's just something about that
- 19:01stadium really had my heart and unfortunately, you know, they
- 19:04had to move forward and and knock down the stadium to bring
- 19:07to put a new stadium because obviously there was nothing they
- 19:11needed to add more things and more features and more seats.
- 19:14But you look at the game now and obviously the changes like
- 19:19Speedy were saying, but now you have an opportunity to watch
- 19:23some of the young phenoms in the league and there Aaron Judge
- 19:27obvious obviously is that that face with Otani.
- 19:31Who do you think is the next phenom of the league?
- 19:35Where? Who do you think is going to be
- 19:36the next face of the league in the next 10 years, man?
- 19:40Next. I mean, I love that.
- 19:42Be me in the next 10 years. Shoot.
- 19:45OK, Now, excluding excluding myself, I think we got Luis Pena
- 19:50and Jesus, Maddie. They're pretty good on our team.
- 19:53I mean, they could be they could be up there too pretty.
- 19:55I mean, they could be the faces too, really.
- 19:57I mean, yeah, I'd say I'd say those two are pretty good.
- 20:01So. You don't have a lot of hype
- 20:03with pain yet, so I I definitely could believe that.
- 20:07Yeah, they're pretty good. They're pretty nasty.
- 20:09Definitely pretty nice. Interesting.
- 20:11So besides your besides your grandfather and your father, any
- 20:14other funny either teammate story from them or one from any
- 20:18guys that you've played with so far in the in your time in minor
- 20:21League Baseball with the Brewers?
- 20:23There's all types of story. I mean, like, I don't know if
- 20:26that's, you know, on air, you know, possible, but I mean,
- 20:30shoot, Yeah. No, I can't think of any.
- 20:32I can't think of any right now. Figure this half the ones we
- 20:34usually can't say anyways. It's always interesting to me,
- 20:37like in the minor leagues, people don't understand like the
- 20:41grind of what the minor leagues are.
- 20:43You know, they, they see the big leagues and you know, obviously
- 20:48what they've done and, and I will give them a little bit.
- 20:51It took them forever to figure it out of how they were going to
- 20:54take better care of the minor league guys and with housing
- 20:56and, and all the other stuff. But give, give a little
- 21:00depiction. Like for people that are
- 21:03baseball fans, but they only see like the big league side of it
- 21:06where like eating peanut butter and jellies and, you know, ham
- 21:11and turkeys all you get and you got some bananas that are don't
- 21:15know if they're edible or not. Like, I mean, it's a grind.
- 21:18And so give a little perspective of of kind of a day in the life
- 21:21of a minor leaguer because literally they, they don't get
- 21:24to see that part of it. Yeah, I'd say my, my dad
- 21:29definitely says nowadays we have it a lot, a lot better than, you
- 21:33know, fail. Y'all do?
- 21:34Definitely, definitely. So I'd say nowadays, I mean,
- 21:39because I've, I've been in Arizona this whole time, you
- 21:41know, staying in a rookie ball. But plus the Milwaukee Brewers
- 21:44are very good with the minor leaguers.
- 21:46Got us a nice apartment that you know, it's funded by them and
- 21:50all that. We do have like 3 meals a day.
- 21:53So it's no more, you know, nasty bananas and all that type of
- 21:57stuff. Usually we get to the field, we
- 21:59have three meals they, you know, obviously workout and stuff,
- 22:03practice and then the game. But yeah, it's definitely, it's,
- 22:07it's a lot, a lot nicer than you know, you know, the years before
- 22:11me for sure. Hey, but you got to give me a
- 22:15dub story. You got to give me ACC story.
- 22:18I I know there's I know there's plenty dog that that's my dude.
- 22:22And I know you know, him and Prince were tight.
- 22:25So I, I, there's one, there's, there's one that you that you
- 22:28can tell. Shoot.
- 22:32You had to go to like one of his parties or something because he
- 22:34threw bangers. Yeah, let me see.
- 22:37I mean, I'm telling you, most of the time it was just me and
- 22:41Cece's boy Carsten, because, you know, the adults were off doing
- 22:44their thing. We were always Carson actually
- 22:48sees as a nice like basketball like court in his house and.
- 22:53Yeah, in the basement. Yeah, me and my brother and
- 22:56Little C and you know his brother, we would literally just
- 22:59be playing there for like 5 hours.
- 23:01Like literally the whole, the whole time we'd go over there
- 23:04like literally throughout the entire night, we would just be
- 23:07in there playing basketball, playing baseball.
- 23:09So yeah, the adults were, I don't know where they were at,
- 23:12but we were just. We were Bond.
- 23:14I mean he played hide and go seek and he wouldn't be found in
- 23:15that house anyways. That's we did that too.
- 23:18Yeah, it was. There's a lot.
- 23:20Yeah, we we play all types of games.
- 23:22We are talking to Milwaukee Brewers second base prospect
- 23:25Jaden Fielder, the son of Prince.
- 23:27His grandfather sees a Cecil. Before we let you go, I, I just
- 23:32want to know your opinion here. You're, you're playing in the
- 23:35minors, you're playing at rookie camp.
- 23:37When do you see yourself being called up to the majors and
- 23:42where do you see yourself in the in the next 5 years?
- 23:44Do you see yourself as the starting second baseman for the
- 23:47Milwaukee Brewers? I mean, I've I've I've actually
- 23:51started playing a little bit of, you know, second all around,
- 23:53like even the outfit a little bit.
- 23:55So I mean, the next five years, I for sure, I'm not sure if it's
- 23:59going to be starting second baseman or where it's going to
- 24:01be, but I definitely, you know, see myself earning a spot on
- 24:05somewhere on that team for sure. Right now, it's currently
- 24:08roadblock by Yankees legend Caleb Durbin.
- 24:11Roadblock. Lane Wallace.
- 24:14There I guess so. Please.
- 24:16Another Yankee gone, gone away. As we all know I job is putting.
- 24:22He's trying to not smile because he knows where I feel about the
- 24:25Yankees right now. I'm just absolutely, I'm fed up.
- 24:29I'm fed up with the New York. Yankees.
- 24:31I'm absolutely fed up with it, so I can't wait till the
- 24:34season's over. I'm done.
- 24:35Yeah. If you notice, I wear Yankee
- 24:37hats on this show all the time. I got all different Yankee
- 24:39colors and I I sport them. But every time I watch the
- 24:43Yankees, they make me want to hurl.
- 24:45Every time I watch this team, they're just.
- 24:48They make me sick. You spend all this money you
- 24:51have an organization that has invested into the players and
- 24:55and these players just don't show up week by week, day by
- 24:58day, minute by minute, hour after hour.
- 25:00And I just I can't sit there and I listen to the stupid fans that
- 25:04I I mean stupid don't be fans out there that think because
- 25:08they're Yankee fans, they know more about the Yankees because
- 25:11then the players do and they don't and it just it's on social
- 25:15media. You could read what they write.
- 25:16Well, if if Boone does this and he does that, the Yankees would
- 25:21be winning. Oh, yeah.
- 25:22It's that easy, huh? Yeah.
- 25:24You're, you're you're just a mastermind for the organization.
- 25:27That's the problem with fans. They think what they want to
- 25:30think and they see what they want to see, but they don't
- 25:32realize how hard it really is. So.
- 25:34Jayden what Jayden, what he's telling you is don't look, it's
- 25:38that's social media, is what he's saying.
- 25:40Stay the. Hell away from, stay the hell
- 25:43away from because there's social media and if you ever go, if you
- 25:46ever get traded to the Yankees, I'm going to love you.
- 25:49If you ever wear the the, if you ever wear the the number 34, I'm
- 25:53going to love you because that's my number.
- 25:55Anything with any of those things, if you wear pinstripes
- 25:58and it's not the Yankees, I'm still going to love you so.
- 26:01Just don't do anything that Jazz Chisholm would do, then you'll
- 26:04be fine. It's not jazz, Chisholm.
- 26:06It's jazz jism, OK? And do not go if you ever go to
- 26:10a Home Run Derby, okay? If you ever go to a Home Run
- 26:13Derby, don't go out there and look like a Jackass by only
- 26:17hitting three home runs. You must have been You call
- 26:20yourself a Bronx Bomber and all you can hit when somebody is
- 26:23lobbing a ball over the plate. I would have hit more than three
- 26:26home runs. I would have hit more than three
- 26:28home runs. That was an embarrassment.
- 26:31All right, what's what's in your drink?
- 26:32Because you would hit three home runs on a big league field.
- 26:35No, you. I've got power, man.
- 26:37I mean, if you're playing T-ball fences.
- 26:38I'm telling you, I got power. How?
- 26:40What do you think? You really don't think I have
- 26:42any power I you? Know there's no chance you're
- 26:45hitting a Homer in a big league yard.
- 26:46No shot. OK, that'll be a bet too you.
- 26:49Just said you could hit three Homer.
- 26:51Like I just, I, I think that yeah, if I, if I get time and
- 26:55and swing 4500 at bats in two days, three days, absolutely,
- 27:01absolutely, absolutely no question.
- 27:04Come on, dog. You're lobbing a ball over the
- 27:07plate. You're lobbing a ball over the
- 27:09plate and you're going to tell me that if I had the opportunity
- 27:12and tempo and and and technique in a couple of days.
- 27:16You got to tell me I can't hit it really hard though.
- 27:17If he's loud, you got to swing. Really.
- 27:19Well, I'm a pretty big strong person, man.
- 27:21I'm not small, so it's not like I, I, I can.
- 27:26What do you making faces Java. You think I can't?
- 27:28There's. No shot a dude that literally
- 27:32isn't a big leagues. You don't have to like him or
- 27:34not, but he's a proven big leaguer.
- 27:36Couldn't hit 3 homers and you're.
- 27:38Because he can't take the pressure.
- 27:40What do I have to lose to stand over there and somebody lobbed
- 27:43over you just. Said you could hit more than
- 27:45three. Homers if I if I'm practicing
- 27:48and going out there and and swinging out a ball over this
- 27:51dude does it every day. Exactly.
- 27:53That makes him just the biggest retard of even Robinson.
- 27:56No at 0 at one point. Right in a Home Run Derby.
- 28:00Did he hit no home runs in a Home Run Derby?
- 28:03No, he ended up hitting him. But yeah, he yeah, there's
- 28:06there's been some names that had that that have had zero.
- 28:09And the fact that you had the audacity said you'd hit more.
- 28:12Than I think I would. Yes, I think I would.
- 28:14That was a blasphemy. All right, all right.
- 28:17Well, that's another bat down, Jay.
- 28:18Can you please tell him how hard it is?
- 28:20I mean, it's, it's pretty difficult there.
- 28:23I mean, there's been some days I'm pretty decent at hitting BP
- 28:26homers. There's been some days I have no
- 28:28shot so. OK, it's pretty difficult over
- 28:32there in Yankee Stadium. What's the furthest place to hit
- 28:34a home run? Left word that the Homer Derby
- 28:37wasn't. I'm just saying.
- 28:38I'm just saying. Left center.
- 28:40How far is that? 390 something like that.
- 28:44OK, I was at a baseball. I was at a baseball field and I,
- 28:47I, I can tell you there's somebody that will actually tell
- 28:50you that a kid was lobbing a ball over and I was smacking a
- 28:53ball over 350 feet. So you're going to tell me I
- 28:57can't hit another 4040 feet over a freaking yard?
- 29:00Come on, man. I, you think I really don't have
- 29:03power? You really?
- 29:04I'm not. I'm not you really.
- 29:06Yeah. You are.
- 29:07You're telling me I can't do it? You have never once on this show
- 29:10said you're not good at something.
- 29:12That's not true. I can't bowl for shit.
- 29:14I'm a horrible bowler. I am the worst bowler in
- 29:18creation known to man and I can't play golf.
- 29:20I've never played golf and it's an absolute, I'll probably be an
- 29:24absolute embarrassment because I've never done it before, but I
- 29:27I can hit a baseball. I know I can't so.
- 29:31And again, I played an immense league with semi pro baseball
- 29:33players and I was pretty good too.
- 29:35So I I I think I can hit it. So.
- 29:38And and you're telling me Jazz Chisholm Jism himself, who's
- 29:42standing there and getting lob balls and he had seventeen home
- 29:46runs, who opened his big freaking mouth and embarrassed
- 29:49himself on national television, comes out there and says, well,
- 29:52you know, we're still a good team.
- 29:55I'm still a great player. Yeah, shut up.
- 29:58I'm done. I'm done with Jazz Jism.
- 30:02I'm done with this team. Sell them all off.
- 30:04I don't want anybody on this team.
- 30:06Get rid of them all in the offseason.
- 30:09Get rid of Aaron Boone, get out of cash.
- 30:11Get rid of Al Steinbrenner. Sell his ass.
- 30:14All right, that's what I'm going to say about the.
- 30:15Yankees Hey, I'm not going to. I didn't mean to bring this up,
- 30:18but Cecil Fielder had 0 homers in a Home Run Derby.
- 30:21Oh, see. In 1990.
- 30:25Wow, it happens. Maybe.
- 30:26Ken Griffey junior Mike Piazza did it twice.
- 30:30Gary Guyetti. And then?
- 30:33Then there's Errol Marks, who's going to go just hit yaks just
- 30:37all over the place. Listen, let's do it.
- 30:40Let's do it If you're lobbing a ball over the plate and and you.
- 30:44Get. That's harder.
- 30:45Listen, I, I, I'm telling you, you think I really can't hit the
- 30:48ball? I'm going to hit.
- 30:49It I'm not saying it's harder to hit a home run if a dude's
- 30:51lobbying it instead. Like if he's throwing 90, yeah
- 30:54your odds are way better. Than I got what you're saying
- 30:57because of the, the tempo, you know, when you're you're going
- 30:59full speed and, and it's all about the I got it, I got it.
- 31:03But I'm telling you, I, I, I can hit the ball so.
- 31:07All right, I'm just sign me up for for whatever bet you want
- 31:11right now. All right, that you will hit
- 31:13more than. 3 owners now I have to have, I have to practice.
- 31:16You can't tell me that I'm just going to go right, OK?
- 31:18I'm not seeing you going wrong. No, no, I I need.
- 31:20Never going wrong. No, I no, I'm talking about a
- 31:23couple of days, maybe 100 pitches.
- 31:25I need some time to to get my swing.
- 31:28Once I have my swing 100%, yeah, I could do it.
- 31:31I can tell by your practice swing that was trash.
- 31:33What? Do you mean my practice swing?
- 31:35I'm sitting in a freaking seat you.
- 31:37That's hot garbage. You know what?
- 31:39I'm going to give you hot garbage.
- 31:41Not on the radio, baby. Wow, Jayden, you saw it too?
- 31:46You chuckled. I got you.
- 31:48I like anal. Well, listen, he could chuckle.
- 31:52You guys could chuckle. Let's chuckle.
- 31:53All right? We'll be chuckling after me, all
- 31:58right? Right.
- 31:58Anyways, we love you, man, and I wish you nothing but the best.
- 32:02I want you to come back on the show.
- 32:03I, I, we did have a lot of fun. Maybe you know you by the time
- 32:07you come back on the show in about, oh, six months, Five
- 32:10months, whenever you want to come back on, you're in the
- 32:13majors playing baseball and we can talk about when you're going
- 32:16to win your first MVP. How about that?
- 32:18Yeah, for sure. That sounds sounds like a great
- 32:20play. Yeah, well, don't worry, man, I
- 32:22didn't say I was going to hit more home runs than you, OK, So
- 32:25I I would never do that to you. But Jazz Chisholm, I I might
- 32:28have to. I might have to go one-on-one.
- 32:31It might have to happen. You know, maybe I'll beat him
- 32:33with my baseball bat after I'm done with them.
- 32:35Anyways, thank you, my friend. And say tell your father I said
- 32:39hello, man. Tell Jabba.
- 32:42Say Jabba, because he doesn't even know who the hell I am.
- 32:44Tell him. Tell him Jabba says hello.
- 32:47Your dad's 2 for two off me, so he owes me.
- 32:51Don't yell. You.
- 32:52I will. Do I tell you what I could beat
- 32:54your I might be able to beat your father at How about
- 32:59hamburger eating contest? You think I could beat him in
- 33:01hamburger eating contest? He doesn't really eat.
- 33:05Hamburgers too much so he might I win there you go.
- 33:09I at least I can beat him at something.
- 33:11There you go. I can't beat anybody in bowling.
- 33:13I'm probably the worst bowler known to man.
- 33:16Even if you put what are they'll call those bumpers, those
- 33:18bumpers, I'm still really bad. I just I because I always
- 33:23thought, hey, you know what if I throw the ball down as hard as I
- 33:26can down the middle, it's going to knock all the pins.
- 33:27It doesn't usually work that way.
- 33:29I have no finesse whatsoever. So I'm just embarrassing myself
- 33:33right now as we speak. So I'm going to let you go, man,
- 33:35before you probably think I'm a complete asshole.
- 33:37Anyways, Jayden, we really appreciate you.
- 33:40You're sensational and we'll talk to you soon, buddy.
- 33:44Yes, Sir, Sounds good. Thank you, guys.
- 33:46Thank you for having me. Absolutely.
- 33:47Milwaukee Brewers second base prospect Jayden Fielder.
- 33:51And yeah, and that's what banter is.
- 33:54Ladies and gentlemen, even if you hate it, banter can go in
- 33:58many different areas, right, Speedy?
- 33:59Oh yeah, we all know that Jabba just can't stand it.
- 34:02But you know, we can go back and forth.
- 34:04He can love it. Yeah, I love it too.
- 34:07You know, as much as I like to embarrass myself, but I'm going
- 34:10to tell you this. We're we're going to make these
- 34:12bets, man. You got to give me an
- 34:13opportunity to do what I got to do.
- 34:15Look, we're going to have the job in the mouth.
- 34:17Olympics so far, You're going to steal a base off of Java five
- 34:21times. So we got five, yeah, 5
- 34:23opportunities, 5 opportunities, all right, all right.
- 34:27And now you're going to hit not one, not 2, not 3, but 4, but
- 34:34four or more home runs in a big league park dimension, 100%
- 34:39situation, simulation setting. You're going to get to have
- 34:42practice. We'll film it like the Rocky 4
- 34:44montage. Let's do it of you relearning
- 34:47how to hit a baseball ball. It's only going to take a couple
- 34:50of practices. Let's do it.
- 34:51You'll be. Ready back to hit Major League
- 34:53caliber pitching? You got this.
- 34:56First of all, and I, I, I want you guys to understand
- 34:58something. I was at a ballpark recently and
- 35:01it the, the furthest part of the park was 350 feet and I was
- 35:05smacking the ball over. I smacked the ball three times
- 35:07over out of maybe there was a, it was a kid throwing me the
- 35:11ball there it was. He threw it like 15 times.
- 35:14I foul tipped a couple of them, but when I got a hold of them, I
- 35:17was pulling them. So I can absolutely.
- 35:20Were you pulling everything or were you going like dead center?
- 35:24No, I was pulling him. I I was just pulling.
- 35:26I remember I again, I haven't and I haven't played baseball in
- 35:30probably 4. Well, look, you can get it out
- 35:32if you pull it 350, you can get it out, you know, in a in a
- 35:36Major League park dimensions. But I again, I was very good at
- 35:39at putting the ball where I wanted the ball to go.
- 35:41So I I can hit the ball all, all over the field.
- 35:44I was a pretty good hitter. But again, I haven't really play
- 35:48recreational baseball. I played in a men's league.
- 35:51What was it like 5 or four or five years ago?
- 35:54It was pretty good. There was a couple of semi pro
- 35:55baseball players that were playing in the league.
- 35:58But it was fun. I got an opportunity.
- 36:00I got it first time to see a slurve.
- 36:02By the way. When you see a slurve, if you
- 36:04think you can hit it, good luck. I mean those things that they
- 36:08spin in so many different. Directions 1st curveball I ever
- 36:12saw. Curveballs.
- 36:13I've seen many. And I heard strike and I heard
- 36:15strike one, and that's when I knew it was not going to be
- 36:19going well for me the rest of my baseball career.
- 36:22And I never, and by the way, I never said that when Jabba warms
- 36:26up, I could just get right at the plate and smack a ball.
- 36:28I never said that. And I I'd asked.
- 36:32That wasn't. That was.
- 36:33That's not part of it yet, no. We.
- 36:35Obviously have plenty of. Time.
- 36:36To get more things. Listen, listen, listen, I'm
- 36:39going to tell you this right now.
- 36:40I, I am very, I'm very strong and and I can.
- 36:44Prove Can you throw a football quarter mile?
- 36:46No. I I don't have a good arm, not
- 36:48not in base, not in football. I could throw a baseball.
- 36:51I have a pretty good arm in baseball, but a football I
- 36:54think, yeah, absolutely, I could do that 100% If we.
- 36:57If he were to do like, like what's the equivalent of a punt,
- 37:00pass and kick in baseball? Like what would be the
- 37:03equivalent of that? I couldn't kick a ball, I'm
- 37:09sorry. Like a Tom Amanski like accuracy
- 37:11drill. No, I can't.
- 37:12I If you asked me to try to kick a field goal, probably.
- 37:16I Maybe 10-15, maybe 20 yards. Anything more than that I
- 37:19probably. Couldn't you'd be surprised how
- 37:21hard it is to just kick an extra point.
- 37:22Yeah, so I. Don't know, that's so hard.
- 37:25You'd be surprised how not only like just to get it the right
- 37:28height, but also to like get it straight enough.
- 37:32And not break your toe. Yeah, if you don't know what
- 37:34you're doing, like it's like as you can't kick it like a soccer
- 37:38ball. Like we have a soccer kicker
- 37:40that we're trying out right now as our kicker because let's face
- 37:42it, that's what you do. And he just gets under the ball
- 37:45all the time and he puts too much backspin on it.
- 37:47Doesn't go far enough. So hey, but who was who was the
- 37:49punter in the NFL that had those the specially made shoes with
- 37:52the like the ballerina like flat toe?
- 37:55I don't know. With the ballerina, no, I don't
- 38:00remember. That no, it was like the flat.
- 38:02Toe I. Don't remember, but I, I think
- 38:04I, I think I do remember somebody.
- 38:07Yeah, because he had like half a foot, right?
- 38:09That's Tom Dempsey. Yeah.
- 38:11He had a club foot and he had like a special, yeah.
- 38:13That special like like. Yeah, yeah.
- 38:17And he's the one that had the record before.
- 38:19See, listen, I I can admit when I know I'm not good at
- 38:22something, all right? I could definitely tell you I
- 38:24can't punt, I can't kick, I can't do any of that stuff.
- 38:28You think? Just looked up.
- 38:29So, for example, what about slap boxing?
- 38:32I'm a great slap boxer any day, any day there's.
- 38:36One of the ones. Any day, boy, any day you want
- 38:40it. And now listen.
- 38:41I am not volunteering in this. I do not think I didn't slap
- 38:45you. Listen, I am not saying dude, I
- 38:46will smack. I would like to.
- 38:47See you compete. I will smack the shit out.
- 38:50Of the top. You're giving.
- 38:52You're giving him amateur. I will tie.
- 38:54I'll tie one handball on my back.
- 38:56Hey, Smack. You could go in that the the
- 38:59Dana White thing and do it. That's what I'm saying.
- 39:02The slap, the new slap box No. Listen, listen, I think the way
- 39:06I slap box when I was a kid is you can get chalk and you draw a
- 39:09line. Now you have to stay in the box.
- 39:12You got to stay in the box and it's all about speed and
- 39:14technique. I was very, very good.
- 39:16Actually, I rather at some points, even though I was pretty
- 39:19good at basketball. Do you think you could?
- 39:21Take on the big Hawaiian, though.
- 39:23I'm not going to stand over there and let this guy smack me
- 39:25in the face, OK? I'm There's no chance of
- 39:28standing there and letting this guy whack the hell out of me.
- 39:30Have you? Do you?
- 39:31Do you watch the ones when they have it in slow motion and like
- 39:34their jaws on the other? Side yeah, I'm not doing that.
- 39:37First of all, I'm ducking. I'm not standing there for
- 39:41somebody to hit me, OK. I'm ducking and weaving and
- 39:44blocking and defending myself. I'm not doing that.
- 39:47But I I actually, if it we were legitimately slap box crazy
- 39:51Hawaii like boxing like I'm really good.
- 39:53I fast hands. So yeah, I think I I think I'd
- 39:56be pretty good. So I wish they had something
- 39:58like that. I saw one of those slap ones
- 40:00where, like, the dude got hit in the ear.
- 40:02Yeah. And like, his ears, like,
- 40:04started bleeding. What?
- 40:06That's a good. Point dude when you get hit if
- 40:09if it depends on where you get hit it's there's a part of your
- 40:11jaw if you get hit under your ear, the ringing sound that you
- 40:15hear on the other side of the other ear.
- 40:17It's horrible and sometimes it doesn't go away for an hour or
- 40:21maybe even 2. I'll never forget.
- 40:23I'll tell you guys a quick story.
- 40:25I, it wasn't boxing, it was mixed martial arts and I was, I
- 40:30was practicing at a UFC gym and I did around with this guy.
- 40:35He's, they said he was a good boxer and all that other stuff.
- 40:37And, and I was his training partner.
- 40:39And they told me just stand up with him and keep an open hand.
- 40:43No close hand, no close fast, just smack, right.
- 40:47So this guy's a little bit longer than me and, you know, he
- 40:52was throwing kicks and trying to set me up.
- 40:55This guy came under my arm, under my shoulder and right
- 40:59there and smacked me on the side of the back of my ear.
- 41:03And I felt like I lost my hearing for like like 50
- 41:08seconds. I couldn't hear anything.
- 41:10No ring, no nothing. I thought I lost my hearing.
- 41:13That's how hard he hit me and after that I was like, you know
- 41:17what I I better learn how to defend myself a little bit
- 41:20better with these log guys No, there's.
- 41:22No, there's no chance like that too.
- 41:25Like, but then when they like kick him in the leg or
- 41:28something, throw the towel in. Like throw the towel in.
- 41:30I want no. Oh, I'm, I'm good in metal bulls
- 41:34like so I'm so when I, when I started doing mixed martial
- 41:36arts, I was taught how to axe kick.
- 41:38And an axe kick is when you come up and you come down on a leg
- 41:42like you're, you're cutting a tree.
- 41:44Yeah. And I know what it is.
- 41:45And I, I'm going to get hit with it.
- 41:47I be, I became really, really good at doing that.
- 41:49And that was the first thing I would set up to throw my my
- 41:51combinations. Hey, did you did you do is I
- 41:55obviously I've seen it, but is it like a legit thing where they
- 41:58like train their shins? Yes, So all right, Muy Thai
- 42:02fighters. Lone a bat.
- 42:03Yeah, Muy Thai fighters, what they do is they go to Japan or
- 42:09there's different places, Brazil, and they have bamboo
- 42:12trees. And what they do, they train
- 42:15their they trade their shins. They kick the bamboo tree, the
- 42:19tree until they completely numb their shins.
- 42:22I saw a video on this. I did too.
- 42:24That one in there, like where they take it in, like, yeah,
- 42:27it's like you're done with it. Yeah, like you're boning a bat.
- 42:29So what? Yes, you could do that too.
- 42:31But So what they do is they create calluses in their shins.
- 42:34So you have no feeling when you throw kick, you never want to.
- 42:38If you want to watch Muay Thai fighting, Muay Thai fighters are
- 42:41the the craziest fighters because when they throw kicks,
- 42:44it's like them chopping at a tree.
- 42:46It hurts you go to a Muay Thai practice or training those.
- 42:51The, the, the sensei is over there.
- 42:53They will kick the living crap out of you just throwing kicks
- 42:56at you. If you don't know how to defend
- 42:58it and and by the way, don't try to defend it with your arms
- 43:01because good luck. You got to learn how to check
- 43:03kick. You got to learn how to check
- 43:04kick them. And by the way, if they hit
- 43:06certain parts, if you don't train your leg defensively where
- 43:11they're going to kick you, they're going to take your leg
- 43:12right off your body. It is it, dude.
- 43:15I would go home and I'd be icing my legs make up for hours.
- 43:18That's how bad it is. But you have to train that way.
- 43:21You got to train against the better fighters and and the the
- 43:24different styles of fighting if you want to become a good mixed
- 43:27martial artist. So I I learned very, very
- 43:30quickly the heart, the toughest fighters in the world are
- 43:34wrestlers. I'm going to tell you that right
- 43:36now, I don't care what Muay Thai, judo, I have a black belt
- 43:40in judo. I have AI have a black belt in
- 43:42Kempo and I have a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
- 43:45And I'm going to tell you this right now, no matter what I have
- 43:48if, if this guy's a Greco Roman wrestler, they're kicking the
- 43:51shit out of you don't care what you think you know and how much
- 43:55you know, they're going to pick you up and they're going to drop
- 43:57you on your fucking back. And once they do that, they're
- 44:00going to hold you down because they going to use your body
- 44:02weight against you. And good luck trying to get up
- 44:04if you know what you saw with Shamaya, what he Shamaya off
- 44:10what he did. That guy is a world renowned
- 44:13wrestler. Good luck when he takes you
- 44:16down. There's a famous.
- 44:17Professional wrestling story of Eddie Guerrero was like a hot
- 44:20head before he passed away and he was mad at Kurt Angle.
- 44:24And Kurt Angle won a gold medal in wrestling for America.
- 44:27With a broken neck. With a broken freaking neck, as
- 44:30was the gimmick And and true. And was on painkillers and got
- 44:33addicted. Painkillers unfortunately.
- 44:35But the guy attacked Kurt Angle and he just beat the ever loving
- 44:40crap out of him, put him in a hold immediately.
- 44:43And like they they funny thing was they go to Eddie Guerrero
- 44:46afterwards. Like, what were your things
- 44:47like? I don't know.
- 44:48I don't know what I was thinking.
- 44:50Like I couldn't do anything. By by the way, Jake, I see Jake
- 44:53saying, got to be flexible, throw an axe kick.
- 44:56The first, the first person I ever knocked out in mixed
- 44:58martial arts was a flying knee. So just so you so you know, I
- 45:03actually landed a flying knee under his chin, knocked him out.
- 45:07So that was. Probably look like like Johnny
- 45:09Cage. No A.
- 45:10Little combat, dude. No, honestly dude, I I I.
- 45:12Probably look like a spider monkey because you're not even 6
- 45:15foot. No, dude, fly first of all and a
- 45:18Superman punch. I really got really good at
- 45:20throwing Superman punches and I watching GSP do it over the
- 45:24years and just watching video of hymns.
- 45:27I would go to the gym and that's what I would practice on the
- 45:29bag, setting up combinations in a Superman punch.
- 45:32And remember, the Superman punch comes from the back of your leg.
- 45:36The Press of the back of your leg and pushing forward is where
- 45:39all the power comes from. It.
- 45:40It's pretty amazing. Mixed martial arts is a it's
- 45:43crazy. It's you have to be a great
- 45:45athlete to do it. It's it's sensational.
- 45:47It really is. I think my uncle did that too.
- 45:50Yeah. Your uncle.
- 45:51Your uncle. OK.
- 45:53Your uncle, Dude, your uncle is a tough SOB.
- 45:55I know he could throw punches, man, that guy's got a heavy
- 45:58punch. Go if you want to box with him.
- 46:01He he, he could throw heavy punches.
- 46:03I we me and him would never box against each other.
- 46:06But we we mess around. He he's fast for a guy that his
- 46:10size, he's really, really fast. Anyways, yeah, he's he's he's
- 46:14pretty tough. And your uncle has he has no,
- 46:18how can I say this? No back end memory.
- 46:21So if somebody knocks you out, if somebody knocked him out, he
- 46:24just come back and and and fight you again.
- 46:27He's one of those guys. Good luck.
- 46:28You better knock him out, because if you don't knock him
- 46:31out, he's going to kill you.
