Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on everybody? It
- 0:14Speaker 1: is Jeff Mosher Adam Kaplan and we are continuing our
- 0:19Speaker 1: schedule analysis podcast series of the Eagles twenty twenty six schedule.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day holiday
- 0:26Speaker 1: and weekend. Weather here in the Northeast not so great,
- 0:30Speaker 1: but I hope everybody's enjoying themselves. Maybe took a moment
- 0:33Speaker 1: to reflect on those who gave our lives for our country.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And Adam, we are in a really cool part of
- 0:38Speaker 1: the schedule here because we are going to do weeks five, six, seven,
- 0:44Speaker 1: and nine. Why not we eight because that's the Commanders
- 0:46Speaker 1: and we already did the matchup versus Commanders in part
- 0:50Speaker 1: one of this. So five, six, seven, nine, that's Jags
- 0:53Speaker 1: in London, that's Panthers, that's Cowboys big game Monday Night,
- 0:58Speaker 1: and of course Giants before in week nine before they
- 1:02Speaker 1: head into the bye week. So by the time we're
- 1:03Speaker 1: done with this, we'll pretty much cover close to the
- 1:06Speaker 1: first half of the schedule as they enter the bye
- 1:08Speaker 1: In the first to first two podcasts of this series.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoyed the
- 1:13Speaker 2: first one that it's interesting because as you go through
- 1:17Speaker 2: it and you go through what you know, sometimes you
- 1:21Speaker 2: have a different opinion of what you thought, like maybe
- 1:23Speaker 2: a month ago. Because we've had the draft that the
- 1:25Speaker 2: whole exercise years it's after the draft season, have had
- 1:29Speaker 2: that exercise done. That's a big thing for the off season.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Now they have their schedule, so you kind of know
- 1:34Speaker 2: how it's all they teams know who they were going
- 1:36Speaker 2: to play, they just didn't know when they were going
- 1:37Speaker 2: to play them.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:39Speaker 2: This one's interesting because as we get as we get
- 1:43Speaker 2: to here in week number five for the Eagles in London,
- 1:46Speaker 2: by the way, one of their standalone games right in
- 1:49Speaker 2: nine thirty Eastern, which I absolutely love. I know my
- 1:51Speaker 2: West Coast friends don't like that at six thirty.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Oh man, that's gotta be brutal for them.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I know, I know, but it's funny. I Uh, last
- 1:59Speaker 2: week before a group, I told the Tier three so
- 2:01Speaker 2: I said, hey, this is what we're doing. We're going
- 2:03Speaker 2: to add something new for you guys. Probably do it
- 2:05Speaker 2: monthly and uh, we'll probably do one yeah, and that'll
- 2:10Speaker 2: be the fifth game. So we'll probably do week one. Uh,
- 2:13Speaker 2: we'll do a live stream postgame and people it's almost
- 2:17Speaker 2: like a talk show. You could rant, you could rave
- 2:20Speaker 2: whatever you want, an instant reaction. We'll give you what
- 2:22Speaker 2: I have. It's kind of cool. And the Jaguars game
- 2:25Speaker 2: probably be the second one. The cool thing is, right,
- 2:27Speaker 2: as someone pointed out, this game will be over by
- 2:30Speaker 2: twelve thirty. Watch the pregame show for some whatever network
- 2:33Speaker 2: if you want, and then you got the one o'clocks.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Oh no, let me amend that.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You watch the Eagles Jaguars game, then you listen to
- 2:40Speaker 1: the Inside the Birds post game show, which we usually
- 2:43Speaker 1: have up right after right.
- 2:44Speaker 2: And live though. Oh well, put it right up.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but we put it right up anyway. I think
- 2:49Speaker 1: there'll be enough time, So there you go, all right.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I like it. Another interesting thing about this five game
- 2:57Speaker 1: stretch outam, and this is so typical of the NFL
- 2:59Speaker 1: now and really the Eagles too, being a prime time
- 3:03Speaker 1: type of team. Of these next five games we're going
- 3:06Speaker 1: to discuss, four of them are in completely different time slots.
- 3:09Speaker 1: You mentioned the nine thirty am kickoff right against the Jags.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You're gonna see a one o'clock game against the Panthers.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Are gonna see an eight and fifteen against the Cowboys
- 3:16Speaker 1: in eight twenty against the Commanders. So it's just that's
- 3:20Speaker 1: the NFL, not against I'm sorry. Then there's a one
- 3:23Speaker 1: o'clock against the because we already the Commanders one o'clock
- 3:26Speaker 1: at Eagles. So nine thirty one pm, eight fifteen, three
- 3:30Speaker 1: of the four games are in a different time slot.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's so odd that the week four that
- 3:34Speaker 2: the Rams are at one o'clock, which certainly is an advantage
- 3:37Speaker 2: for the Eagles, because I'll be interested to see what
- 3:41Speaker 2: how the Rams handle getting into town that week. You
- 3:46Speaker 2: know what, it's a Sunday one o'clock game. Now the
- 3:49Speaker 2: week before the Rams are at Denver. Oh, you know
- 3:55Speaker 2: what it is. You know, it's interesting there. Yeah, it's uh,
- 3:58Speaker 2: it's just it's a September twenty seventh, which seems to
- 4:02Speaker 2: me like it would be a Sunday night game. Don't
- 4:04Speaker 2: check that one, but that's what it looks like in
- 4:06Speaker 2: week three.
- 4:07Speaker 1: That might be our answer. By the way, why Rams
- 4:09Speaker 1: Eagles wasn't more of a four o'clock or a night
- 4:11Speaker 1: or a game because the Eagles have to go to
- 4:14Speaker 1: London the next week and they maybe wanted to give
- 4:16Speaker 1: them as much you know, rest for that as possible,
- 4:18Speaker 1: now that I think about it, I don't know.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, the Rams play at Denver the week before
- 4:23Speaker 2: Sunday night. Now, one thing I know people have questioned this. Know,
- 4:28Speaker 2: some reporters didn't understand that the teams actually could request this.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Teams are able to request where they want to have
- 4:34Speaker 2: a bye after the London game or not whatever. It's
- 4:37Speaker 2: an international game. There's some teams they've studied that rest
- 4:42Speaker 2: versus no rest and time off after the international game
- 4:48Speaker 2: having a bye after. Some teams say that they've tried
- 4:51Speaker 2: both and there's really no definitive answer which is better. Right, So, yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 2: the Eagles are going to are not taking the didn't
- 5:00Speaker 2: they're let's see, yeah, they're they're not gonna have a
- 5:04Speaker 2: buy after this game in London.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Hum hm, that's right, because they don't have a buy
- 5:09Speaker 1: until after that that Giant.
- 5:11Speaker 2: We Yeah, you can request it, Yes, you can heal
- 5:16Speaker 2: that's yeh. Scheduling recruss you can. Yeah. I thought it
- 5:18Speaker 2: was bizarre. One year, maybe like five years ago, a
- 5:21Speaker 2: team decided they wanted to play and then I heard
- 5:24Speaker 2: I heard the coach, the head coach whatever team wants
- 5:26Speaker 2: to explain the process because you. You have to outline
- 5:30Speaker 2: all the issues for scheduling that season. Is there a
- 5:34Speaker 2: concert going on? You know? Traffic? You know, they want
- 5:36Speaker 2: to they the league can't the schedule. Mike North and
- 5:38Speaker 2: his group can't do everything. They try to do their best,
- 5:42Speaker 2: but they want to know, like what what what are
- 5:44Speaker 2: you walking into? Rest that they they don't want any
- 5:47Speaker 2: unfair advantages. They also don't want to give a team
- 5:50Speaker 2: a disadvantage, you know. So that's the way it was.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Sure, how long is a flight from Philly to London?
- 5:55Speaker 2: I forget, I don't know. I know you could get
- 5:57Speaker 2: it direct. I'm pretty certain you can get a non starf.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm just wondering, is it that much different than a
- 6:02Speaker 1: West coast trip? It's about ten hours? I'm looking seven
- 6:05Speaker 1: to ten hours. Okay, so it's a little bit. It's
- 6:06Speaker 1: like flying to Seattle, to be honest with you, Yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 1: a little warner.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. You know, the team have a charter flight.
- 6:12Speaker 2: You know, they have their own flight, but probably these
- 6:14Speaker 2: the Eagle fly American airlines. But US civilians, we you know,
- 6:18Speaker 2: we we can pay. You know, you can pay for it.
- 6:21Speaker 2: You can get non stop, but yeah, it does take
- 6:22Speaker 2: a while. So Uh, look, I remember we talked about
- 6:26Speaker 2: this before. Goddar had a really he had a great
- 6:28Speaker 2: running catch against him in twenty eighteen. YEP team game, YEP,
- 6:33Speaker 2: Lendon game. But this is our home away from home.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Shot Conos the soccer team. You know he's over there,
- 6:37Speaker 2: the owner. Sure, his son, Tony has the AEW Rustling company.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Tony's Tony's interesting guy. You know, he's big on data
- 6:46Speaker 2: and stuff like that. And what's interesting is is we
- 6:49Speaker 2: get through this this game here with Jacksonville. If you
- 6:52Speaker 2: look at the Trent Bulky regime, you know he went
- 6:55Speaker 2: up getting let go, which is no surprise, but he
- 6:58Speaker 2: drafted some very good players like he he You can
- 7:00Speaker 2: say what you want about the guy. Guy knows football.
- 7:03Speaker 2: He's made his mistakes, a lot of injured players, you know.
- 7:05Speaker 2: He Fangio, by the way, was there in twenty twelve.
- 7:09Speaker 2: He was there DC when they made the Super Bowl
- 7:11Speaker 2: lost to Baltimore unfortunately. Yep, with Trent Bulky. So if
- 7:15Speaker 2: you look at this this roster, now let's started their offense.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Some notes. Brian Thomas was unbelievable. You're one, right, the
- 7:24Speaker 2: tall player Chad Hall was his coach. You're one who's
- 7:27Speaker 2: now with the Giants as the receivers coach.
- 7:30Speaker 1: M hmm.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I mean last year Thomas dropped off significantly, and that's
- 7:34Speaker 2: concerning now Jacoby Myers is was over. I mean, it's
- 7:38Speaker 2: a great contract for Jerusalees. I certainly went criticizem did
- 7:41Speaker 2: a great job on it. I don't know how what
- 7:44Speaker 2: leverage he had, but twenty million a year for a
- 7:46Speaker 2: tall slot receiver. And Jacoby Myers, I'm sorry, he's not
- 7:48Speaker 2: that good, nice player considering development as an undirector free
- 7:51Speaker 2: agent when he was with New England. But that's ridiculous.
- 7:55Speaker 2: And then they've got well they keep saying Travis Hunter
- 7:59Speaker 2: now will still play some receiver we'll see coming off
- 8:01Speaker 2: knee surgery, and to Parker Washington as their slot is
- 8:05Speaker 2: like Myers is more of a Z receiver.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Yeah, this is what I don't get about their offense
- 8:10Speaker 1: is like it seems like there's a logjam of slots
- 8:12Speaker 1: between Parker Washington and Jacoby Myers. And even if Travis
- 8:15Speaker 1: Hunter does wind up playing a little offense and we'll
- 8:18Speaker 1: see like he that's where you would want to line
- 8:20Speaker 1: him up also on the insign.
- 8:22Speaker 2: So yeah, so then you know a tight end. They're
- 8:27Speaker 2: another team that you know, one year they draft Brenton
- 8:29Speaker 2: Strange and I know this is a previous regime. And
- 8:33Speaker 2: then the tight end from Texas A and m Port
- 8:37Speaker 2: Kircher we just drafted in the second round, which was
- 8:40Speaker 2: but some teams saw that as a major reach, like
- 8:42Speaker 2: way too early, Like Brenton Strange is seeing his way
- 8:44Speaker 2: too early. Now he's that's he's actually come on a
- 8:47Speaker 2: little bit a little bit last season. But so going
- 8:51Speaker 2: against the Eagles here to me if Port Kircher is
- 8:55Speaker 2: they also drafted a tight end in the fifth round
- 8:58Speaker 2: from Houston.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Yeah, this is what I don't get. And this is
- 9:01Speaker 1: where I'm sorry, I don't mean. I'm wondering if this
- 9:04Speaker 1: is a Liam Cohen, who, as we know, or as
- 9:08Speaker 1: we'll tell people if they don't know, coached under Sean
- 9:10Speaker 1: McVay in LA.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Is this is he trying to borrow from his old
- 9:15Speaker 1: coaching mentor by loading up here on tight ends early,
- 9:19Speaker 1: or is this a gladstone in the GM who is
- 9:22Speaker 1: young and progressive and a little bit more aggressive. I remember, look,
- 9:27Speaker 1: who is he come? He came from LA too, right.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yeah he's there, but he's there. Liam Cohen wanted him.
- 9:33Speaker 2: That's why he's there, right.
- 9:34Speaker 1: He learned under Les Snead, who's mister f M Picks guy,
- 9:37Speaker 1: And of course they gave up all those picks for punter.
- 9:39Speaker 1: They didn't have a first round but I Adam, we
- 9:42Speaker 1: didn't talk about this because we don't talk about the
- 9:43Speaker 1: Jags much. But when they didn't have a first round
- 9:46Speaker 1: pick this year and then came back and took a
- 9:49Speaker 1: tight end in the second round with their first pick,
- 9:51Speaker 1: I almost fell off my chair. And I'm curious to say,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I want to do a study of teams that have
- 9:57Speaker 1: drafted tight ends in the second round two years in
- 9:59Speaker 1: a row, well to see how that's worked out. That
- 10:02Speaker 1: reminds me of Dallas, right, didn't they do that with
- 10:03Speaker 1: Schoonmaker and Ferguson.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Maker was a major. I was floored, Like I know,
- 10:11Speaker 2: one personal guy said he needs a pretty athletic why
- 10:13Speaker 2: but he goes he she had no business go in
- 10:15Speaker 2: the second round. This is what the guy told me,
- 10:16Speaker 2: because I I was like, where do you have him?
- 10:18Speaker 2: We had a four on him, right and he's really
- 10:20Speaker 2: done next to nothing?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yeah you know, yeah, so in conticuarly, this this doesn't
- 10:26Speaker 1: fall into the same category. But the Jets took Kenyan City, correct,
- 10:30Speaker 1: they did, and they right, and they took last year.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, now, listen, if you're gonna be on your point,
- 10:36Speaker 2: if you're going to be like Sean McVay and this
- 10:41Speaker 2: is what you're gonna do, you're ready. You're ready dictating.
- 10:43Speaker 2: You're gonna be heavy twelve personnel for the for as
- 10:45Speaker 2: long as you coach there, I'm fine with it. As
- 10:47Speaker 2: long as both got as long as you get it right.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Because you don't draft a wide tight end the second round.
- 10:52Speaker 2: They both have to be pass catchers. It clearly is
- 10:55Speaker 2: a Mason Taylor could do both. Okay, I could see
- 10:58Speaker 2: that one. You could you. I could totally see it.
- 11:00Speaker 2: They're both very talented. Yes, but the kid or Kercher
- 11:04Speaker 2: like that. We'll see how he does.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I'm telling you Gladstone's either an evil genius or he's
- 11:10Speaker 1: going to be fired in two years.
- 11:11Speaker 2: They got heavily critic I could tell you I took
- 11:14Speaker 2: a lot of I took a lot of opinions when
- 11:16Speaker 2: personnel people thought that was a massive overpay for Travis Hunter. Yep,
- 11:22Speaker 2: for what they gave up Drew Berry much bligned Andrew
- 11:26Speaker 2: Berry coming off a great draft last year. Right, that
- 11:30Speaker 2: was a good trade that he made with him with Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 2: you make a good point.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's even worse, right if they don't wind up making
- 11:37Speaker 1: Hunter a two way play, if he just winds up
- 11:39Speaker 1: playing one side of the ball. You just gave up
- 11:41Speaker 1: a ton of draft stock for a corner. I mean,
- 11:44Speaker 1: he might aggress me.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I'm telling you this will happen. This is like a
- 11:47Speaker 2: lot there are on a lot of locks of the NFL.
- 11:49Speaker 2: He will wind up being a full time corner someday.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree.
- 11:53Speaker 2: The Wyst explaining me is for game planning. Coaches have
- 11:56Speaker 2: to know how many they have to know what the
- 11:59Speaker 2: guy is for for my position as a coach, and
- 12:02Speaker 2: by Anthony Campanelli, their coordinator, he's got it, he's he
- 12:06Speaker 2: did a great job. Well, he did a great job.
- 12:09Speaker 2: So all right, So going against the Eagles, this is
- 12:14Speaker 2: not a very good offensive line. It's just not. It's okay,
- 12:18Speaker 2: Ezra Cleveland, who they acquired a couple years ago in
- 12:22Speaker 2: the trades that he's he's gotten better. It's gotten better. Hainsey,
- 12:25Speaker 2: who could play garter center, is gonna played the center
- 12:27Speaker 2: for them. Coming over for Tampa McCarry. Uh, who got
- 12:31Speaker 2: paid well to be their right guard.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Uh.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Walker Little's there left, Anton Harrison's there there. This is
- 12:39Speaker 2: just a very average offensive line. They have some depth
- 12:42Speaker 2: the draft pregnant the third round, you know from from Morgan,
- 12:46Speaker 2: who we talked about in the pre draft process. This
- 12:48Speaker 2: is a very beatable I'm telling you. With this Eagles front,
- 12:51Speaker 2: they're all back the front, freeze back, uh, Gerard Gernard.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I just feel like they're gonna do very well against
- 12:59Speaker 2: this group.
- 13:00Speaker 1: My only sort of curiosity about it is that it's
- 13:04Speaker 1: kind of the same offensive line the Jaguars had last year,
- 13:07Speaker 1: and somehow the Jags won thirteen games, And yes, they
- 13:11Speaker 1: had a couple of cupcakes on the schedule from the
- 13:13Speaker 1: year before, but they still had to play the Niners.
- 13:15Speaker 1: They beat them. They played the Chiefs. Everybody remembers this
- 13:18Speaker 1: is before. This is when the Chiefs were struggling. But
- 13:21Speaker 1: they're still the Chiefs. Mahomes were healthy. They won that
- 13:23Speaker 1: game on the Trevor Lawrence rushing touchdown at the last minute.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So they beat those two teams. They beat the Texans
- 13:33Speaker 1: all right, Texans were a playoff team. They beat the
- 13:35Speaker 1: Chargers thirty five. They had the weirdest wins and losses
- 13:39Speaker 1: last year. They lost to some team, they lost to
- 13:41Speaker 1: the Bengals, so it didn't some of their wins didn't
- 13:43Speaker 1: make sense to me. But they ended the year like
- 13:45Speaker 1: on a seven or eight game win streak. Couple. You know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: obviously you have your Jets in there, but they beat
- 13:50Speaker 1: the Broncos. So despite having a bad or mediocre to
- 13:56Speaker 1: blow average offensive line, they made do. The Jags were my, like,
- 14:01Speaker 1: my weird team last year. When I did my weekend
- 14:03Speaker 1: you know, I went through every game. I just couldn't
- 14:06Speaker 1: believe they won some of the games that they did.
- 14:08Speaker 1: And then when I got got like excited about them,
- 14:10Speaker 1: then they lost some games. So I don't understand them.
- 14:12Speaker 1: William Cohan did a great job. But you're right, this
- 14:14Speaker 1: offensive line, if you looked at it normally, just on paper,
- 14:18Speaker 1: this roster, I think in general, you'd say this team
- 14:21Speaker 1: doesn't this team looks as okay. Maybe they were a
- 14:23Speaker 1: regression candidate.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Oh because they came out of nowhere.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I just I mean, do I like
- 14:30Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence. Yes, I don't love Trevor Lawrence. He's okay.
- 14:35Speaker 1: He has moments where he looks very good. He has
- 14:37Speaker 1: moments where behind that offensive line he doesn't look good
- 14:39Speaker 1: and makes bad mistakes. You know, Brian Thomas junior, you
- 14:42Speaker 1: mentioned him very talented, dropped a lot of balls last year.
- 14:46Speaker 1: An amazing stat is that Brian Thomas went from a
- 14:48Speaker 1: twelve hundred yard receiver to a seven hundred and seventy
- 14:51Speaker 1: something yard receiver, and yet he averaged the exact same
- 14:54Speaker 1: yards per catch as a rookie and second year, which
- 14:57Speaker 1: is almost astonishing. He's got to get his role figured out.
- 15:02Speaker 1: They Travis Hunter has not really blossomed into an offensive weapon.
- 15:06Speaker 1: He got hurt. The offensive line is not good. They're
- 15:08Speaker 1: running back trio. I mean, I know they love Visual Tooton,
- 15:12Speaker 1: who they drafted fourth round last year, and they add
- 15:14Speaker 1: Chris Rodriguez. They have the Quinn Allen's with Seri. There's
- 15:17Speaker 1: nothing about this offense where I'm like, oh man, you
- 15:20Speaker 1: really draw a red circle around this guy.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Like, well, good coaching, but great, right, great coaching by
- 15:25Speaker 2: Liam Cohene to get Trevor Lawrence finally. He basically was
- 15:29Speaker 2: like probably the most overrated quarterback coming the last season
- 15:33Speaker 2: and he finally got it done. He just was an unachieved.
- 15:35Speaker 2: He got that big contract.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but by the way, in October. In October, he
- 15:40Speaker 1: had the lowest passer rating, Like through the first seven
- 15:44Speaker 1: or eight weeks of season, he had the lowest passer
- 15:46Speaker 1: rating among all NFL starting qbs. So his all his
- 15:49Speaker 1: season last year was up and down as well.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Uneven.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it was very uneven the number he put up.
- 15:53Speaker 2: He put up very big numbers. But it's just weird
- 15:56Speaker 2: how he was not connecting with Brian Thomas. Uh. You know,
- 16:00Speaker 2: it's interesting before we move to the the their defense.
- 16:04Speaker 2: So they had this kid. They this personal staff didn't
- 16:07Speaker 2: trade for him. The previous one did. Call Van Lannon,
- 16:10Speaker 2: they extended his contract. He's got to start. Now the
- 16:12Speaker 2: question is is he going to play guard or tackle?
- 16:14Speaker 2: Because Walker Little they extended. He's their left harrison. Now,
- 16:19Speaker 2: how this staff didn't draft, They weren't around for Anton Harrison,
- 16:22Speaker 2: who's on the funny rookie deal. So I'm interested to
- 16:26Speaker 2: see it because Van Lannon's getting seventeen million a year. Walker
- 16:29Speaker 2: is their left tackle. They do they move Van Lannon
- 16:33Speaker 2: inside or do they playm at right tackle where So
- 16:37Speaker 2: I'm interested to see how they go about this because
- 16:39Speaker 2: now they now that this coaching staff had a year
- 16:43Speaker 2: to has had a time to think about it, where
- 16:46Speaker 2: do they go? But I'm just telling you it's it's
- 16:47Speaker 2: an okay offensive line. This is a very beatable offensive
- 16:52Speaker 2: line to me, Now, if I'm the way I see it,
- 16:56Speaker 2: if this kid Boke boor Kercher is good enough to
- 17:00Speaker 2: be on the field a lot with with with Strange,
- 17:03Speaker 2: who's good, good player, he can move, Yeah, he's been
- 17:05Speaker 2: better than expected for sure. So oh you know, you
- 17:09Speaker 2: know before.
- 17:09Speaker 1: You moved for me, I loved him at Penn State,
- 17:11Speaker 1: by the way, I had a feeling he was going
- 17:12Speaker 1: to really because I knew he was a really good athlete.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I had a feeling he would kind of catch. Penn
- 17:16Speaker 1: State's passing offense is never good, so I had a
- 17:19Speaker 1: feeling once he got to the NFL you would actually
- 17:20Speaker 1: see him shine a little bit.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I remember talking to one of their coaches, uh from
- 17:25Speaker 2: the previous staff on a Doug staff. He said, Hey,
- 17:28Speaker 2: what do you think of the strange kid? He goes
- 17:31Speaker 2: and we'll see he goes. I know that people think
- 17:33Speaker 2: we reached for him, but I'll tell you what, this
- 17:35Speaker 2: kid's an athlete like, this kid's going to help us
- 17:38Speaker 2: at some point. Yeah, and he did. So I like
- 17:40Speaker 2: these matchups. Oh you know what, you know who's on
- 17:42Speaker 2: their team for now? Justin Herbert's brother Patrick, because they
- 17:45Speaker 2: back up tight end for them.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Oh nice, that is Justin Herbert's brother. Okay, another thing
- 17:50Speaker 1: with the offensive line. Did draft Emmanuel Pregnant at't Oregon
- 17:53Speaker 1: third round? The guy we liked, you know, greyg co
- 17:55Speaker 1: so liked him. Thought he could kind of be a
- 17:57Speaker 1: plug and play guard. But to your point, if you're
- 17:59Speaker 1: going to start lit at left tackle and you got
- 18:02Speaker 1: this contract around Van Lenen, so he's got to play
- 18:05Speaker 1: and he moves to guard, you're not. I believe McClary's
- 18:08Speaker 1: the right guard. So where's the room? If Pregnant looks
- 18:11Speaker 1: good in training camp, what are you doing with him?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Where's the room?
- 18:14Speaker 2: Again? There's yeah, But understand a couple of things. You've
- 18:18Speaker 2: got to remember. He's got a four year rookie deal.
- 18:20Speaker 2: He's only a third round pick. He could be the
- 18:22Speaker 2: top backup guard for you know, for a year or two,
- 18:25Speaker 2: and then they can move on. They can move on
- 18:27Speaker 2: from Cleveland, so that that's where he could go. But
- 18:29Speaker 2: I see what you're saying, there's gonna be someone who's
- 18:32Speaker 2: an odd man out Wyatt Millam who was drafted last year,
- 18:35Speaker 2: and a third, so they have some depth they're gonna have.
- 18:37Speaker 2: And uh Truma odug Odoga I remember from the Giants
- 18:42Speaker 2: excuse me Jets years ago as a journeyman. He's there too,
- 18:46Speaker 2: so they they've got depth that's good to have. But
- 18:48Speaker 2: overall I questioned the talent. I just feel like this
- 18:52Speaker 2: is one where Vic probably feels, not that he blitzes.
- 18:55Speaker 2: He doesn't like the blitz, but this is one you don't.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I don't think you have to bring the heat you got.
- 18:58Speaker 2: They should win.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I agree. I think this will be an overwhell. I
- 19:02Speaker 1: mean again, I don't know, because the Jags figured out
- 19:05Speaker 1: away last year to win a bunch of games in
- 19:06Speaker 1: a row against some some teams were good. But I
- 19:09Speaker 1: just with the talent, the Eagles having a secondary and
- 19:12Speaker 1: we'll find out by the way. To build on our
- 19:14Speaker 1: discussion from the last podcast about the schedule, now that
- 19:17Speaker 1: we know that Cooper de Gen will be playing safety
- 19:21Speaker 1: and base and now that we're seeing a team like
- 19:23Speaker 1: Jacksonville coming after a team like the Rams, and then
- 19:26Speaker 1: earlier on in the Eagles schedule. They're gonna play a
- 19:29Speaker 1: two tight end team, the Bears. Right, they're gonna go Bears, Rams,
- 19:32Speaker 1: Jags three straight weeks. We might see a ton. I
- 19:35Speaker 1: don't want to say a ton because Vic does go
- 19:38Speaker 1: nickel sometimes against two tight ends if he thinks they're
- 19:40Speaker 1: pass catchers. But I got a feeling we're gonna see
- 19:43Speaker 1: Cooper de Gen in base defense a little more than
- 19:46Speaker 1: we expect early on this season.
- 19:48Speaker 2: No, I agree, you made a great point last week.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I agree with you just looking over it. Jacksonville is
- 19:53Speaker 2: another twelve personnel team. There'll be a balance twelve and eleven.
- 19:56Speaker 2: But it's not hard to figure out. You just look
- 19:59Speaker 2: at the person know. Sometimes it's a little bit harder
- 20:03Speaker 2: if at if a team spent you know, if they've
- 20:06Speaker 2: got five quality receivers and you you've got two really
- 20:12Speaker 2: good head ends, well you could balance both. You know,
- 20:14Speaker 2: you could play both. So uh, now switching sides of
- 20:17Speaker 2: the football here, Trayvon Walker. You know he got his
- 20:20Speaker 2: big deal there. They're thirty four front. I think I'm
- 20:24Speaker 2: not mistaken. I think they're thirty four front. I'll double check,
- 20:26Speaker 2: but I think they're thirty four front.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah or no, No, I think they're four to three
- 20:31Speaker 1: under Campanelli.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I think I'll double check. But the thing that shocked
- 20:34Speaker 2: me this monterag Buster Brown. I cannot believe this because
- 20:40Speaker 2: he was kind of like a lot of teams didn't
- 20:43Speaker 2: like him. He was a seventh round pick, he wasn't developing.
- 20:45Speaker 2: The year three he started play better and then he's
- 20:48Speaker 2: he's got good sides at six feet in one ninety,
- 20:51Speaker 2: got a contract extension. He actually played really well. This
- 20:54Speaker 2: is a good like Again. People say what they want
- 20:57Speaker 2: about Trent Balky. This is another guy who kind.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Of yeah, yeah he did he did so. Yeah, and
- 21:05Speaker 1: then when you.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Look at this situation here, they've got pass rushers Trayvon Walker,
- 21:11Speaker 2: Josh Heinz Allen like that you got to protect now
- 21:15Speaker 2: last year. And Dennis Gardak, who's sort of a movable
- 21:18Speaker 2: chess piece has been the league forever.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Your favorite guy.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Yeah, he's been a good story man. You know, you
- 21:24Speaker 2: look at him. You know this guy can't be a player.
- 21:26Speaker 2: He is, he is so and then it's Eric Armstead
- 21:33Speaker 2: is still there. You know, he's still playing.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 2: They made that very rare D tackle trade for D
- 21:39Speaker 2: tackle trade with Atlanta.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Good.
- 21:45Speaker 1: The guy. They lost that. I wonder if this is
- 21:48Speaker 1: going to be Ventra Miller has been a decent linebacker
- 21:51Speaker 1: in the NFL. They lost in free agency Devin Lloyd.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I forget where he signed.
- 21:55Speaker 2: He finally showed up very well. Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:00Speaker 1: By the way, a really interesting stat was that the
- 22:02Speaker 1: Jaguars two years ago were one of the worst defense
- 22:04Speaker 1: defenses in the league. Anthony Campanella took over, they did
- 22:07Speaker 1: not have a ton of changes. I think something like
- 22:10Speaker 1: nine of the elevens started from the year before were
- 22:13Speaker 1: starting again last year, and then they went to become
- 22:16Speaker 1: one of the best defenses in the league. So that
- 22:18Speaker 1: just goes to show you about your coaching point with
- 22:20Speaker 1: both Liam Oohen and Anthony Campanilli. They were just such
- 22:23Speaker 1: a well coached team last year.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yeah, they're thirty four front. I was right, they're thirty
- 22:28Speaker 2: four front. Okay, yeah. Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 1: In fact, here knows is that Hamilton does he kind
- 22:32Speaker 1: of like, yeah.
- 22:33Speaker 2: He's a good player, man, Devon Hamilton's a good player man. Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:36Speaker 2: He was a third round in twenty twenty. So this
- 22:40Speaker 2: is going to be interesting. Alcun is still good player
- 22:45Speaker 2: out of Yale. Really a remarkable story, you know, It's
- 22:48Speaker 2: so funny because talking agents, there's so many agents who
- 22:51Speaker 2: passed on him. Because when you went into Yale, you
- 22:55Speaker 2: talk to the code, they didn't really talk them up.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, well you heard Yale.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's crazy.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Going on there.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Yes. So, and then at corner Buster Brown and we
- 23:08Speaker 2: talked about Hunter. Jordan Lewis is their Nichols. Good player there,
- 23:13Speaker 2: and you've got safety. They're okay with Antonio Johnson. Ark
- 23:15Speaker 2: Murray's your journeyman. Look, if you could protect, it'll be
- 23:20Speaker 2: hard that you should have success against their corners. Yeah,
- 23:23Speaker 2: we're gonna see Hunter is is as talented as he is.
- 23:25Speaker 2: He missed a lot of time last season. He's come
- 23:27Speaker 2: off with major knee surgery.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yeah. That's my issue with this team is that I
- 23:31Speaker 1: just I don't love their secondary and and overall for
- 23:34Speaker 1: their defense, I don't love their their depth. They've they've
- 23:36Speaker 1: got two legit pass rushers in Trayvon Walker and heinz Allen,
- 23:42Speaker 1: the formerly Josh Allen now Josh heinz Allen. After that,
- 23:45Speaker 1: I know, I know they brought in the ro Auroro
- 23:47Speaker 1: aroo guy I can't pronounce his name, Rouque Auror from Milana,
- 23:51Speaker 1: who was I think overdrafted a little bit there by
- 23:54Speaker 1: the falcon yet very much and not you think, no,
- 23:56Speaker 1: he was he was definitely, I was being kind.
- 23:58Speaker 2: And it's funny the kid that he was traded for
- 24:01Speaker 2: they missed on that one's the same thing. He was
- 24:07Speaker 2: Mason Smith. He was a second runner. Yeah, who teams
- 24:10Speaker 2: were shocked second right, Like, I know, this is what
- 24:13Speaker 2: it's going on with the second round these last couple
- 24:15Speaker 2: of years.
- 24:16Speaker 1: It's kind of crazy. But like you know, for rushing
- 24:19Speaker 1: the past or a format, they don't have guys in
- 24:21Speaker 1: the tank. Like do you know the Eagles will bring
- 24:23Speaker 1: two or three guys off the bench or other teams
- 24:25Speaker 1: this team if they have any kind of injuries, I
- 24:28Speaker 1: think I could see him taking a big step back.
- 24:30Speaker 2: I agree, Yeah, this is when this is a step
- 24:32Speaker 2: back team overall. I would agree with you.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think. You know, they do have a
- 24:39Speaker 1: tough Watching them last year, I thought their defensive front
- 24:42Speaker 1: played very tough, you know, very rugged. They're not not
- 24:46Speaker 1: an easy team to just kind of move the ball on.
- 24:48Speaker 1: But you know, the Eagles had such a problem running
- 24:52Speaker 1: the ball. If the Eagles can run the ball thirty
- 24:54Speaker 1: percent better this year and that's a low bar. But
- 24:57Speaker 1: if they run the ball thirty percent better than did
- 24:58Speaker 1: last year, and and they can do it against the Jags,
- 25:01Speaker 1: I think they're gonna put the Jags in some because again,
- 25:03Speaker 1: who are the Jacks stubbing in and out from a
- 25:06Speaker 1: depth standpoint? Nobody. So you want to, you know, get
- 25:08Speaker 1: them on the field, move the ball, do a little nose,
- 25:11Speaker 1: no huddle, which Jalen Hurts does such a great job
- 25:13Speaker 1: of figuring out when, and I imagine that'll be still
- 25:17Speaker 1: part of the offense. You know, you heard. One thing
- 25:19Speaker 1: we didn't discuss with Sean Mannion was his the use
- 25:22Speaker 1: of the word blend in his press conference, which was
- 25:24Speaker 1: a little scary, but you know, we just got to see.
- 25:28Speaker 1: You just hope it's not too much blending of old
- 25:30Speaker 1: and new, just some of the things that used to
- 25:32Speaker 1: work well, like push push or no huddle and then
- 25:35Speaker 1: really everything else being his concepts. But I think no
- 25:39Speaker 1: huddle has always been good for the Eagles, and against
- 25:41Speaker 1: a team like this that's just not deep you want
- 25:43Speaker 1: to go there.
- 25:44Speaker 2: True because heart? Yeah, for substitution issues, Yeah sure, all right,
- 25:47Speaker 2: So that's Jacksonville. It's a it's over in London. It's
- 25:51Speaker 2: a fairly even game. I like the Eagles odds in
- 25:55Speaker 2: this game to win it.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I would think so too, me too. I'm I just
- 26:00Speaker 1: don't know where I am with Jacksonville. So to see
- 26:03Speaker 1: as the first four weeks go, all right, it's.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Another expansion team Panthers next week.
- 26:07Speaker 1: How about that? And we still calling him an expansion
- 26:09Speaker 1: team piece?
- 26:10Speaker 2: I know, it's just kind of fun.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Listen to our podcaster.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they were Our friend Bill Polian was
- 26:18Speaker 2: their first GM and uh what a story they were
- 26:21Speaker 2: so with Steve Berlin and Moose Muhammad and and the
- 26:25Speaker 2: late great Sam Mills uh and uh late great Kevin
- 26:28Speaker 2: Green and others. But yeah, so their offense, it's interesting
- 26:33Speaker 2: they're there. Their offensive line, if healthy, is not bad.
- 26:36Speaker 2: They had a lot of iki iguana. The left tackle
- 26:39Speaker 2: got hurt, yep, bringing Rashid Walker's insurance if he's.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Not ready good depth signing.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, if you know where he could start. Mora
- 26:46Speaker 2: Freeling was the first round pick who quite frankly, he
- 26:52Speaker 2: might be the left tackle week one, and Guano could
- 26:56Speaker 2: be out of luck. I mean, remember he's a first
- 26:59Speaker 2: round pack he he kind of had to start m
- 27:01Speaker 2: HM and they they they're paying Taylor Motin a lot
- 27:03Speaker 2: of money, so he's not going anywhere. David Lewis Dan
- 27:08Speaker 2: Morgan has done a good job. Was with him in Seattle,
- 27:10Speaker 2: so he knows. And Robert Hunt got big money. He's
- 27:12Speaker 2: been hurt a little bit. So when you look at
- 27:17Speaker 2: this situation, they got the potential to have a good
- 27:19Speaker 2: offensive line. They have some depth. This won't be easy
- 27:24Speaker 2: to get them, but yeah, they did go through a
- 27:26Speaker 2: lot of injury issues. I like their receiver group. It's
- 27:28Speaker 2: fairly deep. Ted McMillan's a studll get we set it down.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I'll say it again. He was overdrafted. You better have
- 27:36Speaker 2: an OC that absolutely understood how to use this player.
- 27:39Speaker 2: He was a limited player routree. It just has not
- 27:43Speaker 2: worked out, save a couple of good games here and there,
- 27:45Speaker 2: and he's hasn't done it. Jalen Cocher came out of
- 27:47Speaker 2: nowhere at a holy Cross in twenty twenty four. Been
- 27:51Speaker 2: a really good story for them.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yep, he's a Steve Smith. Steve Smith loved him coming
- 27:56Speaker 1: out of holy Cross.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Layer the major draft brasel who's very very talented but
- 28:02Speaker 2: very very raw. And John Matchie signed there. So they
- 28:06Speaker 2: have some depth.
- 28:07Speaker 1: So this is what I'm talking about, Adam, Like, how
- 28:09Speaker 1: I compare them with Jacksonville. When I look at the Panthers,
- 28:11Speaker 1: I don't the first when I look at any of
- 28:13Speaker 1: these teams that the Eagles are going to play, The
- 28:14Speaker 1: first thing you and I do, just based on who
- 28:17Speaker 1: we are, right is we look at their lines offensive line, defensive,
- 28:19Speaker 1: like can they can?
- 28:20Speaker 2: They?
- 28:20Speaker 1: Are they good there?
- 28:21Speaker 2: Right?
- 28:22Speaker 1: Uh? And then the second thing. I know a lot
- 28:23Speaker 1: of people look at quarterback at star power, but I
- 28:25Speaker 1: always look at depth, and they make smart depth moves.
- 28:28Speaker 1: And to your point, you know, drafting Monroe Freeling in
- 28:32Speaker 1: the first round, signing Rashid Walker gives them depth. You know,
- 28:36Speaker 1: like they've got already starters at offensive tackle, but if
- 28:39Speaker 1: one gets hurt or can't play or can't you got
- 28:41Speaker 1: two guys. One you invested a first round pick and
- 28:43Speaker 1: the other guy who started a bunch of games for
- 28:45Speaker 1: a good Green Bay team to get in there. And
- 28:48Speaker 1: then even at receiver, yeah, like Gat has struggled, Cocher
- 28:51Speaker 1: has been a nice, great fine McMillan is going to
- 28:53Speaker 1: be an awesomer se he already is an awesome receiver. Uh.
- 28:56Speaker 1: And then they draft Brazil round three, like they signed
- 28:58Speaker 1: Johnny Metchi. Got guys you play, you know, I mean,
- 29:02Speaker 1: I I look at this and I say, all R
- 29:03Speaker 1: Kenny Pickets their backup. I like their depth way better
- 29:06Speaker 1: than I like Jacksonville's depth.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so rounding out their offense, it's the same. They're
- 29:12Speaker 2: gonna be. They're play plenty as well. With Tommy Trumbull,
- 29:16Speaker 2: who's a good blocking tight end. Yep, he's got a
- 29:19Speaker 2: little bit better athleticisan than he's given credit for. JA
- 29:21Speaker 2: David Sanders isn't really done much in it's two years
- 29:23Speaker 2: m h. But those guys will play a lot. They'll
- 29:26Speaker 2: have the ability to play a lot eleven depending you know,
- 29:28Speaker 2: they they could be depending what Canalis wants to do
- 29:31Speaker 2: to Dave Canalis, the head coach of calls and plays,
- 29:33Speaker 2: it depends on the the opponent. But their offensive line
- 29:37Speaker 2: with Monroe Freeling, as long as they feel he's ready,
- 29:40Speaker 2: he'll be the left tackle. Iky Iguana got hurt very
- 29:42Speaker 2: late in the season, so yeah, that's pretty much gonna
- 29:44Speaker 2: be it for him. Motons, it's pretty set what they've got.
- 29:47Speaker 2: They brought over Luke Fortner from the Saints center. It's
- 29:52Speaker 2: just from a matchup standpoint. If the Eagles want to
- 29:56Speaker 2: play more man, they want to travel, Q could be
- 29:57Speaker 2: on McMillan. That's a great matchup.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I imagine he will.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, this is not a game where Coop Degene
- 30:08Speaker 2: needs to play a lot of safety. I wouldn't think
- 30:09Speaker 2: just based on the personnel groupings agree this is.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Gonna be an eleven personnel team. They should.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I would say yeah, because Sanders has not proven yet.
- 30:17Speaker 2: He deserves to be on the field enough yet.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Right right, They're gonna they're gonna have a tight end
- 30:21Speaker 1: like Trumble when they want to run. They're gonna have
- 30:23Speaker 1: a tight end like Sanders when they want to spread
- 30:25Speaker 1: it out and pass a little more. I can't imagine.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Coker, McMillan get are gonna play.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow, And you know what, Honestly, I know this
- 30:33Speaker 1: goes without saying, but if Bryce Young just got a
- 30:36Speaker 1: little better and I there were times that outs it,
- 30:39Speaker 1: and there are times I could see it. It's like,
- 30:42Speaker 1: if he can play thirty percent better. They won the
- 30:44Speaker 1: division last year with a losing record, but could they
- 30:46Speaker 1: win ten to ten games if he played thirty percent better?
- 30:50Speaker 1: I think so. I think there's enough. First of all,
- 30:51Speaker 1: we'll get to their defense. They got some really good
- 30:53Speaker 1: defensive players, including a former ego, And then you know, offensively,
- 30:58Speaker 1: they have a decent enough set of weapons here to
- 31:00Speaker 1: be able to move the ball they did last year.
- 31:03Speaker 1: At times, they're a very strange team. You remember that
- 31:05Speaker 1: playoff game against the Rams, right, it looked like they
- 31:09Speaker 1: were out of it and then all of a sudden
- 31:10Speaker 1: they started scoring points. I mean, they're just they're unpredictable.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But again, if you're looking through an optimistic lens and saying, hey,
- 31:18Speaker 1: the quarterback's going to get better here in year three,
- 31:20Speaker 1: then you can see a lot. But at the flip
- 31:22Speaker 1: side at him, if the quarterback regresses, that's going to
- 31:27Speaker 1: foil this whole operation because he needs to play better
- 31:30Speaker 1: for this team. Isn't that talented offensively to be able
- 31:33Speaker 1: to withstand that.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's been way too inconsistent. He has shown progress,
- 31:38Speaker 2: but he needs to be better. He has to be better.
- 31:41Speaker 2: If Dan Morgan's made it clear that he's the future,
- 31:45Speaker 2: so let's switch sides for here. Yeah, the problem that
- 31:51Speaker 2: they have now on their front though it's very talented
- 31:56Speaker 2: Tuck Wharton Jashaun Wharton came up from Kansas City's come
- 31:59Speaker 2: back from a major injury neck injury. They don't have
- 32:02Speaker 2: an exact timeline. That's that's good Sern. He's one of
- 32:05Speaker 2: their starting defensive linemen. They are thirty four under Fangio
- 32:08Speaker 2: disciple Azureau Alviro, who's very Town's probably gonna be head
- 32:13Speaker 2: coach some day. He's done a really good job, like
- 32:16Speaker 2: their thing was for him. Their thing for him is
- 32:19Speaker 2: they had got in talent like they like he had
- 32:21Speaker 2: one bad year, but they had like nothing. So this
- 32:25Speaker 2: is where Devin Lloyd went. So here's the hell. Of
- 32:26Speaker 2: course Jalen Phillips will get to that in the second
- 32:29Speaker 2: Dark Brown who came back from the ACL injury a
- 32:31Speaker 2: couple years ago. Really good player. Bobby Brown's their nose
- 32:34Speaker 2: came over from the Rams. Wharton who's a stand up player.
- 32:37Speaker 2: And Nicol your playman's side, but he's They don't have
- 32:40Speaker 2: exact time on Lee Hunter. We talked about the draft process.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Who's who probably want to starting as were pushing for
- 32:47Speaker 2: time as their nose. S Gordon did a good job
- 32:50Speaker 2: their second rounder. I like a really good job last
- 32:52Speaker 2: year like him. Jalen Phillips of course, who fits in well,
- 33:00Speaker 2: Uh he fits in well in this front. It made
- 33:02Speaker 2: sense from a schematic standpoint because he's played in it. Yep,
- 33:05Speaker 2: his entire career pretty much. Devin Lloyd came out of
- 33:09Speaker 2: nowhere after being a major, major disappointment, played his ass
- 33:12Speaker 2: off last year, got a great contract. Good for him.
- 33:14Speaker 2: So this is a talented front here. They went through
- 33:18Speaker 2: a bunch of inside backers due to injury last season.
- 33:22Speaker 2: But yeah, it's Lloyd, probably trevoron Wallace and also you know,
- 33:28Speaker 2: it's not a bad day. You know, it's not a
- 33:30Speaker 2: bad backup Patrick Jones who came over from the Whitings
- 33:34Speaker 2: a couple of years ago.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:36Speaker 2: So yet, not great depth at edge, but they'll have enough.
- 33:40Speaker 2: They'll have enough.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I mean, when you look at it, you could see
- 33:42Speaker 1: why they pulled up thirty million dollars for Phillips because
- 33:45Speaker 1: they just don't have a real a plus pass rusher.
- 33:49Speaker 1: You know, they drafted s Gordon. I thought Sorton looked
- 33:51Speaker 1: good at times last year for a rookie. That was
- 33:53Speaker 1: a good second round pick. Dirk Brown we know as
- 33:55Speaker 1: a stud interior alignment and can give you that interior purse.
- 33:58Speaker 1: But they really needed a little bit more. So you
- 34:01Speaker 1: get you go get Jalen Phillips, gives you kind of
- 34:04Speaker 1: like three guys that you could fear in the pass
- 34:06Speaker 1: rush between Phillips Scouting and Gorton and Brown and maybe
- 34:10Speaker 1: somebody else, like you said, maybe a Patrick Jones becomes
- 34:12Speaker 1: a nice little extra rusher. I don't know. Uh. The
- 34:16Speaker 1: curious curiosity I have is on Devin Lloyd, who sort
- 34:21Speaker 1: of underperformed for a little bit in Jacksonville. Yeah, he
- 34:26Speaker 1: very much on the board. He was benched, wasn't he
- 34:28Speaker 1: At one point.
- 34:29Speaker 2: He was so bad and to the point where like
- 34:35Speaker 2: never gonna cut him. But Doubleblady is gonna make it.
- 34:37Speaker 2: And it's almost like a Jordan Davis kind of rise. Yeah,
- 34:41Speaker 2: and like it kind of came out of nowhere. Now
- 34:43Speaker 2: Davis the year before at least showed something late, right,
- 34:46Speaker 2: and they played great and got extension. So uh, there
- 34:50Speaker 2: they have two pass rushers. It's real simple. And and Derek,
- 34:53Speaker 2: I mean Derek Brown is for a defensive tackle, he's
- 34:56Speaker 2: a good pass rusher. But they're two key guys or
- 34:59Speaker 2: scorting Phillips. Yeah, Phillips, Now could he do it for
- 35:02Speaker 2: a full season? Now they know him obviously, the Eagles
- 35:04Speaker 2: offensive line pass block wise is not a problem last season.
- 35:07Speaker 2: The run block of satrocias Uh, They've got they'll have
- 35:10Speaker 2: a pretty good front between both Browns, Derek and Bobby.
- 35:15Speaker 2: And let's assume for now that Lee Hunter, second round
- 35:17Speaker 2: pick starts. That's a that's a pretty good front, yep.
- 35:21Speaker 2: And you know, you get you get past those guys.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Phillips's plays to run well, He's got great length, so
- 35:29Speaker 2: this won't be easy to run against.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Them, Yeah, it won't. I just don't love their depth,
- 35:33Speaker 1: you know. I like what they have in their starting
- 35:36Speaker 1: eleven on defense. You know in the secondary we we
- 35:39Speaker 1: of course, Jase Horn's a really good corner. Uh, Trevon Morriggs. Okay,
- 35:43Speaker 1: Nick Scott. I mean they're okay at safety. When you
- 35:46Speaker 1: have Horn and you've got Derek Brown, and you've got
- 35:49Speaker 1: Jalen Phillips, and if you get Devin Lloyd playing at
- 35:51Speaker 1: the level he played last year, you've got star power
- 35:53Speaker 1: in your in your top eleven. But there's nothing in
- 35:56Speaker 1: their their backups. You know, I know Greg Cosel like
- 35:59Speaker 1: Ezeki Weeley, but fifth round pick out of Penn State safety,
- 36:02Speaker 1: I just don't love them from a depth standpoint. And
- 36:04Speaker 1: now we're talking about a game where this is a
- 36:07Speaker 1: week seven game. You're gonna or no, I'm sorry, week
- 36:09Speaker 1: six game, You're gonna be on some depth at that point.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Yes, So Mike Jackson came over. Another guy that Dan
- 36:15Speaker 2: Morgan wanted came over from Seattle. Actually Scott Fitterer's actually
- 36:21Speaker 2: it was it was Dan Morgan who got Mike Jackson.
- 36:25Speaker 2: It's okay, yeah that that other corner. May Rigg is
- 36:27Speaker 2: a good player. May Rigg is actually a good player,
- 36:33Speaker 2: but next to Nick, Scott's a journeyman. Yeah, they got
- 36:36Speaker 2: to be better. There. There's some holes. Yeah, there's some
- 36:39Speaker 2: holes like Jasey Horn's elite. But Mike Jackson, you could
- 36:42Speaker 2: you could throw against them. There's some matchups you can
- 36:45Speaker 2: get here. They played it, they played there. There, They're
- 36:48Speaker 2: they're a pretty balanced team now running wise, because Chuba
- 36:53Speaker 2: hubb remember Chuba Hubbard now is back being the starter.
- 36:57Speaker 2: And who knows about Jonathan Brooks coming back from his
- 37:01Speaker 2: major injury. Yeah, another major knee injury, which unfortunately, remember
- 37:05Speaker 2: he got hurt against the Eagles a couple of years ago. Yep,
- 37:08Speaker 2: Dylan's there, Trevor Ethen, Travis's brother is there. They're gonna
- 37:12Speaker 2: they're gonna be a low scoring team. The mcmillin's are playmaker,
- 37:15Speaker 2: so they'll play to their run game in their defense. Yep,
- 37:18Speaker 2: CHUPA Hubbards had been a nice story. Another guy kind
- 37:21Speaker 2: of came out of nowhere, didn't contribute for two years,
- 37:23Speaker 2: and then he had a great year and got paid.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Right to me, this is a so this is a
- 37:29Speaker 2: sort of a white knuckler game, which means it's a
- 37:31Speaker 2: close to you know, it's low score scoring game, physical, tough,
- 37:37Speaker 2: you just hope to win. Seventeen thirteen, you know something
- 37:39Speaker 2: like that.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's why that Rams game they lost thirty
- 37:42Speaker 1: four to thirty one in the playoffs. I'm like, I
- 37:44Speaker 1: can't believe this team scored thirty one points in the playoffs.
- 37:48Speaker 1: They had a lot of games last year. They had
- 37:49Speaker 1: a weird game three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine,
- 37:53Speaker 1: ten games last year where they scored less than twenty
- 37:56Speaker 1: points and thirteen where they scored less than twenty seven.
- 38:00Speaker 1: And so there, yeah, that's their mo great point, All right,
- 38:03Speaker 1: Get right, hey, Philly fans. Game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,

- 39:22Speaker 1: away game. Head to Philadelphia Eagles dot com slash travel
- 39:25Speaker 1: to secure your spot on to the big game. Right
- 39:29Speaker 1: on to Eagles Cowboys. This will be at the Link
- 39:34Speaker 1: Monday night, eight fifteen, game week seven and listen. We
- 39:39Speaker 1: can sit here and analyze it. Sometimes the analysis doesn't
- 39:41Speaker 1: matter because when those two well more's with Commanders, but.
- 39:44Speaker 2: They have Colboys.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Cowboys know how to beat the Eagles. They absolutely do,
- 39:48Speaker 1: because they seem to do it at least once a year.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Well, they've got a tough schedule. Really now, okay, they're
- 39:54Speaker 2: at the Giants, could be challenging Week one, they host
- 39:57Speaker 2: of Commandos would know they're going to be better. Host
- 39:59Speaker 2: Baltimore at Houston, hosts the Bucks at Green Bay, and
- 40:04Speaker 2: then they're at the Eagles. So they play on a
- 40:08Speaker 2: Thursday night. Then they play the following weeks so they'll
- 40:11Speaker 2: have some rest. They'll play at the Eagles only twenty
- 40:15Speaker 2: six of October. So if I'm not mistaken off the
- 40:21Speaker 2: double check, but I know, well, they're one of the few,
- 40:24Speaker 2: if not the only, team that's bring back all eleven
- 40:27Speaker 2: starters on offense. It's really hard to do.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that is in this day and age and almost impossible.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Pickens lamb a receiver, the mercurial. You never know what
- 40:37Speaker 2: you're getting from to his Pickens, he's maddening. He's so gifted,
- 40:42Speaker 2: but he doesn't always bring it the intensity and sometimes
- 40:44Speaker 2: takes plays or games off. Yp's why he's not getting
- 40:47Speaker 2: extension now. Steve's still there at right tackle, Guidan's there
- 40:51Speaker 2: at left tackle. Who's he's probably better at right tackle,
- 40:56Speaker 2: but they're not doing it. Tyler Smith has been great,
- 40:59Speaker 2: bb is their shatter, and Booker's back. They're all back,
- 41:02Speaker 2: Ferguson's they're starting tout end screwmakers. The why hm Dak
- 41:07Speaker 2: of course, and Javante One's was a great story development.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Now you know how you've talked about depth. Yes, like
- 41:14Speaker 2: Jayden Blue could not get on the field. They coached
- 41:17Speaker 2: trust Hi last season.
- 41:18Speaker 1: That's true, Which doesn't you know, knowing what we knew
- 41:20Speaker 1: about him coming out of Texas where he wasn't even
- 41:24Speaker 1: a number one guy there, Yeah, that's yeah, maturity issues,
- 41:28Speaker 1: it doesn't surprise me. But I will say he can
- 41:30Speaker 1: be a big X factor. I mean if he explosive, man,
- 41:33Speaker 1: if he makes a year two leap starts to figure
- 41:36Speaker 1: some things out and they can get him on the
- 41:38Speaker 1: field in the pass catching role. He is so explosive.
- 41:41Speaker 1: So then and they've got the offensive line and the
- 41:43Speaker 1: surrounding weaponry you have to worry about to make it
- 41:46Speaker 1: like where he can sneaky be catch a few passes
- 41:49Speaker 1: and turn a game.
- 41:50Speaker 2: So they're the Eagles, though their edges match up well
- 41:53Speaker 2: against Dallas tackles.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Yes, I swear if you had have told me three
- 41:57Speaker 1: years ago at and the Turn that they were still
- 41:59Speaker 1: going to have Turn Steel at right tackle, I would
- 42:01Speaker 1: have been like, get out of here, you know, because
- 42:03Speaker 1: he's kind of had his ups and downs. Yeah he's
- 42:05Speaker 1: still there.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he took a pay cut, Yeah, he got his
- 42:07Speaker 2: contract were done.
- 42:10Speaker 1: They did Drew Shelton.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Drew Shelton, who I know, Greg didn't like him at all. Yeah,
- 42:14Speaker 2: Greg didn't like that at Austraaria in the.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Very up and down career Penn State.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. So to me, you got to win by
- 42:24Speaker 2: beating their tackles. If Jayden Blue is not a factor
- 42:28Speaker 2: in that by the time the Eagles play them, joont
- 42:30Speaker 2: Wim has been a great story. He's not even close
- 42:32Speaker 2: to the player was before his multi ligament knee injury.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Give a guy credit. He's money around the goal line.
- 42:37Speaker 2: He's with fantastic for fancy, especially right. But their matchups,
- 42:43Speaker 2: to me, the matchups are real simple. Tyler Guitton is
- 42:45Speaker 2: not a great left tackle. He's just not Fergus Ex's
- 42:47Speaker 2: Meat Steele is an okay right tackle. They're another team
- 42:53Speaker 2: that could play a lot Like I know, Ron Schoenhammer
- 42:56Speaker 2: is a more of a eleven personnel guy than twelve.
- 42:58Speaker 2: He's completely changed from what he would with the Jets,
- 43:01Speaker 2: kind of flipped it. He was the one who came up,
- 43:03Speaker 2: by the way, with let Russ Cook. That was his
- 43:05Speaker 2: idea to be aggressive throwing in the first half. He's
- 43:08Speaker 2: big in analytics, yep, I was told. So now the
- 43:12Speaker 2: question is how will they approach it this game? Well,
- 43:17Speaker 2: you've got Lamb and Pickens, uh Cavante Turpin more or
- 43:21Speaker 2: less is going to be the three boy That trade
- 43:22Speaker 2: for Jonathan Mino, what a terrible trade. They get a
- 43:24Speaker 2: fourth front pick from the guy doesn't even play. Yeah,
- 43:27Speaker 2: and MVS is there but Ryan Flanoy he also plays
- 43:35Speaker 2: some of the in three receiver sets.
- 43:37Speaker 1: He's pretty decent. By the way, didn't you give the
- 43:39Speaker 1: Eagles a little bit of trouble in that.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Second game last year, he made a player or two.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's the one out of Missouri state. I
- 43:45Speaker 1: think it was or something small, real small, but.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Yeah, southeast Missouri state. Yeah yeah, so overall to me,
- 43:53Speaker 2: you know what Lamb is, He's usually has great hands.
- 43:58Speaker 2: He said he had a melt one melt out actually
- 43:59Speaker 2: the the one game against Eagles, he just started dropping
- 44:02Speaker 2: past us like crazy. You remember, No, but usually it's
- 44:05Speaker 2: very good hands. Yeah, he's an open yep, I get
- 44:08Speaker 2: in picking sad man. He's he's a very interesting player.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Man.
- 44:13Speaker 2: You just don't know what you're getting. Weak to week,
- 44:15Speaker 2: very very very mysterious. Why he just drifts? You know,
- 44:20Speaker 2: the Steelers had enough and they didn't want them. They
- 44:22Speaker 2: got what they could for him getting the sick round pick.
- 44:24Speaker 2: But so so before we move on to the flip
- 44:27Speaker 2: the script here, they know them very well because they're
- 44:31Speaker 2: bringing back all their starters.
- 44:32Speaker 1: M hm.
- 44:35Speaker 2: What would worry me for the Eagles is if they
- 44:38Speaker 2: could protect Okay, if they could protect see you could
- 44:43Speaker 2: get like you can because Vic play a little bit
- 44:47Speaker 2: more man than he typically does. Still not a heavy
- 44:49Speaker 2: man team, they're still you know, win More's own. But
- 44:53Speaker 2: do you travel you know who who do you have Q?
- 44:55Speaker 2: If you're going to play sides, that's one thing. If
- 44:57Speaker 2: you're going to travel, who do you haven't travel against?
- 44:59Speaker 1: I would actually have him travel against Lamb? I think,
- 45:03Speaker 1: because I would Pickens is a really good receiver. But
- 45:08Speaker 1: if you put a Woolen on him, you know he's
- 45:11Speaker 1: not gonna kill you with all these razors shark cucks.
- 45:13Speaker 1: He's gonna kill you with these contested catches. He's deep overs.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I think that that's the area where I can see
- 45:20Speaker 1: wool And holding his own. I mean, yeah, he's gonna
- 45:22Speaker 1: give up a few. But you know, last year it
- 45:24Speaker 1: was weird because last year there were times they got
- 45:27Speaker 1: a Dory Jackson matched up against Ceedee Lamb, and you
- 45:29Speaker 1: know they just got lucky that Lamb dropped a few.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I don't know if Vick wants to see a similar
- 45:34Speaker 1: situation where Lamb is matched up against the second best corner.
- 45:38Speaker 1: I think you'd want Mitchell iam as much as possible.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Yep, I would agree with you so And plus Wolan's
- 45:45Speaker 2: got elite length. Yea, Hickens is tall. I mean that
- 45:48Speaker 2: that doesn't matter. I agree, Yeah, you won't size there. So,
- 45:53Speaker 2: so that's that's uh, that's an interesting one. It's gonna
- 45:56Speaker 2: be don't Dak has had some incredible games against the Eagles.
- 45:58Speaker 2: But also you have to always look at the personnel
- 46:00Speaker 2: egles hat we're putting out. Then that's part of it.
- 46:03Speaker 1: But now I want to count the former Eagles here
- 46:07Speaker 1: on the currently on the Cowboys.
- 46:09Speaker 2: You got Sam Sam, Matt Hennessee, got Paris Campbell. Is
- 46:17Speaker 2: he still there? Yeah? He is Paris Campbell. That's amazing,
- 46:20Speaker 2: Matt Hennessee. Drew Keegan, who's claimed off waivers?
- 46:23Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Trevor Keagan, right, yeah, you have to they
- 46:26Speaker 1: have anyone? What's that?
- 46:28Speaker 2: Do you have anyone? Defensively?
- 46:29Speaker 1: I didn't even check that yet. I wanted to just
- 46:32Speaker 1: point out one interesting signing the Cowboys made. This guy
- 46:37Speaker 1: we thought was going to get drafted. He's got, I
- 46:39Speaker 1: think again maturity issues that we heard about. But Michael Trigg,
- 46:44Speaker 1: he's he's deep on the depth chart. But don't forget
- 46:47Speaker 1: that name, because all it takes is yet like coming
- 46:50Speaker 1: on and making a few plays and and he could be,
- 46:53Speaker 1: you know, participating in some part in the offense.
- 46:56Speaker 2: And he's juice a tight end. Yes, yes, that's that's
- 46:59Speaker 2: that's the Eagles defense versus the Eagles. The Cowboys offense again,
- 47:04Speaker 2: they're bringing back all their starters, so they kind of
- 47:06Speaker 2: know what they're getting right now.
- 47:08Speaker 1: I'll look at this remade Cowboys defense, which has you know,
- 47:12Speaker 1: it's now a three four with Christian Parker, it's gonna
- 47:15Speaker 1: be a Fangio clone defense. You know, they traded away
- 47:19Speaker 1: and Odiggyzua, who is a good three technique for them
- 47:21Speaker 1: because they're there's morphing their their defensive front to a
- 47:25Speaker 1: three four style, so they'll have the overhang players. You know,
- 47:28Speaker 1: They've got Rashaan Garry who they brought in. What's the
- 47:32Speaker 1: deal with Ezraku? He's come up a surgery right hip Labram.
- 47:36Speaker 2: That's a bad surgery man. Yeah, that's the questions about
- 47:39Speaker 2: one will be ready. Malachai Lawrence, who is very talented,
- 47:43Speaker 2: but a little bit row on neth further refinement. Some
- 47:48Speaker 2: teams thought he was reached. I know some teams had
- 47:50Speaker 2: a second a low second round, great high third on him.
- 47:53Speaker 2: M Rashan garregu Mention came over in the trade. James Houston,
- 47:57Speaker 2: who's been interesting. He's had a lot of injury. Formerly
- 48:01Speaker 2: of Detroit and Cleveland, and Sam Williams was another guy,
- 48:06Speaker 2: excuse me, who had major off the field concerns football
- 48:12Speaker 2: character stuff. He's also been suspended before, right.
- 48:19Speaker 1: So.
- 48:21Speaker 2: He's good. He's kind of got his act together. Man,
- 48:23Speaker 2: He's he's been good.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I look at it. I like, I think
- 48:26Speaker 1: that there's some good players here on the Stallas front. Obviously,
- 48:29Speaker 1: I have Quentin Williams. He's one of the best three
- 48:31Speaker 1: techniques in the league or wherever they're going to play
- 48:33Speaker 1: him in this front. You know, Gary, Gary is not
- 48:37Speaker 1: the player he was a few years ago, but he's
- 48:39Speaker 1: not necessarily Josh Uche either where you're just not getting
- 48:42Speaker 1: anything out of him. You're just not getting enough.
- 48:45Speaker 2: He's got great size for this scheme because he because
- 48:48Speaker 2: he played in a thirty four part of his career
- 48:52Speaker 2: with the Packers. He also played a forty three there,
- 48:54Speaker 2: so he's got really good size to play in this front.
- 48:58Speaker 2: They have enough pass rushers. It's just a matter of
- 49:00Speaker 2: who's going to be healthy. Overshown has got completely healthy
- 49:03Speaker 2: for the first time in his career.
- 49:05Speaker 1: They're really but I'm looking forward to seeing what Parker
- 49:09Speaker 1: does with him. Adam Overstown because he's small, but he's
- 49:13Speaker 1: also lightning quick athletic. I wonder if if Christian fuels
- 49:19Speaker 1: that Overshown can be like a Nakobe Dean type player
- 49:22Speaker 1: as far as a blitzer on a sim pressure you know,
- 49:26Speaker 1: someone who's sneaky gets through the middle where you line
- 49:28Speaker 1: them up and you break down a protection scheme and
- 49:31Speaker 1: get try to get a free rusher to the quarterback
- 49:32Speaker 1: with him.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Mm hmm. I agree. But they're like they they're so
- 49:37Speaker 2: bad at linebacker. They traded for de Winters, who's also
- 49:40Speaker 2: not a big not like a like a big guy, right,
- 49:44Speaker 2: So that that to me is second level of their defense.
- 49:48Speaker 2: If you can get through the first one, you should
- 49:50Speaker 2: have some you should be able to run against them.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean they're banking obviously on Bland coming back
- 49:57Speaker 1: strongly that maybe Shavan Revel will be you know, two
- 50:00Speaker 1: years remove from the injury now we'll be ready to
- 50:02Speaker 1: assume a starting job. They signed Kobe Durant from Rams.
- 50:07Speaker 2: He's just an okay, honestly, they're not very good at corner.
- 50:11Speaker 2: I know Devin Moore Greg liked who's got great Land
- 50:14Speaker 2: out of Florida. HM. The questions about how well he
- 50:16Speaker 2: runs Arron Bland's better officer, Nickel, he's really not good
- 50:19Speaker 2: at corner. They got Caleb Downs, stud player. We'll see
- 50:23Speaker 2: how they use them. Jalen Thompson who they signed as
- 50:27Speaker 2: a free agent, and uh pj locks there because you
- 50:29Speaker 2: know this game we played for Vic and Denver right,
- 50:33Speaker 2: and then Malie Hooker is there. So they they're great
- 50:35Speaker 2: at safety. We're not great. Good. They're good at safety. Yeah,
- 50:38Speaker 2: they're not very good at corner. You want to go
- 50:40Speaker 2: after these corners now, I would worry about it. Caleb
- 50:43Speaker 2: Carson's still there, who was drafted a couple of years ago. Yeah,
- 50:48Speaker 2: you really don't know about You really don't know about
- 50:52Speaker 2: the kid you were talking about from East Carolina came
- 50:54Speaker 2: back from the a CL rebel, Yeah, Revel Jr. You
- 50:58Speaker 2: just don't know. I mean, had he not tourn his
- 51:00Speaker 2: a CL I mean could it was? He was looking
- 51:02Speaker 2: at a potential first round pick. So we'll see how
- 51:05Speaker 2: well he plays. There'll be some matchups. They're super small
- 51:08Speaker 2: and inside backer. You like that. And yeah, you got
- 51:13Speaker 2: Kenny with Williams, Kenny Clark, Johnthan Buller's journeyman. They drafted
- 51:18Speaker 2: the kid Overton from Alabama. Yeah, a small new tackle.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Uh there's with Christian Parker. Like it's a new scheme.
- 51:27Speaker 2: The techniques are different.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Mh.
- 51:30Speaker 2: They got a new staff on defense. It's going to
- 51:31Speaker 2: take them some time to get it.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Yep.
- 51:33Speaker 2: The good thing is it's not like they're that Syriann
- 51:35Speaker 2: hasn't gone against this offense. Are going against it in
- 51:37Speaker 2: practice right, So it's it's fascinating. It's I like the
- 51:42Speaker 2: Eagles matchups, to be honest with you, I like, I
- 51:46Speaker 2: feel like.
- 51:46Speaker 1: They should have They should run the ball. They need
- 51:49Speaker 1: to run the ball well against this Dallas defensive and
- 51:53Speaker 1: we'll be light at linebacker. But because I do think
- 51:56Speaker 1: even without Ezraku, even if he slowed a little bit,
- 51:59Speaker 1: they've always had decent edge draw. I mean, Houston has
- 52:02Speaker 1: been fine, James Houston for them. Sam Williams was injured.
- 52:04Speaker 1: He can give you a little juice off the edge.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Gary can give you a juice off the edge. If
- 52:08Speaker 1: the Eagles are struggling offensively and they're on too many
- 52:11Speaker 1: like second and third and lungs, and let's say mal
- 52:14Speaker 1: Ky Lawrence, their first round pick, is doing what he's
- 52:15Speaker 1: supposed to do, they can come at you with some guys.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I mean, I.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Think this Dallas defensive front has improved from a personnel
- 52:22Speaker 1: standpoint because they've added so many guys. They've added like
- 52:24Speaker 1: nine or ten guys. The question is do they gel
- 52:27Speaker 1: they mature, some of their draft picks live up to
- 52:30Speaker 1: what they're supposed to be.
- 52:31Speaker 2: Yep, fun game first, this is their first game against
- 52:34Speaker 2: Dallas in this season. Yep, Philly on paper, if you
- 52:38Speaker 2: just look at the matchups with Smitty Mkay Lammon, Eagles
- 52:44Speaker 2: is gonna play plenty of eleven personnel with Wix and
- 52:46Speaker 2: Hollywood Brown, They'll be able to make plays. Eagles are
- 52:50Speaker 2: gonna have speed, the possession receivers. They finally have a
- 52:52Speaker 2: slot receiver for a true slot for the first time.
- 52:56Speaker 2: I don't know how long might be a vine, I'm joking.
- 53:00Speaker 1: What it's been a bit man, So yeah, since Agalre
- 53:04Speaker 1: in the Super Bowl year.
- 53:06Speaker 2: That would be it. When they moved when they moved
- 53:07Speaker 2: Nelly inside. So yeah, that that's a long time ago.
- 53:10Speaker 2: So yeah, that that's it for sure.
- 53:12Speaker 1: All Right, we gain the next opponents and Commanders, we've
- 53:15Speaker 1: already done that matchup, so we go straight to Week
- 53:18Speaker 1: nine where it will be the Giants at the Eagles
- 53:22Speaker 1: one o'clock game Fox. And I'm not sure of all
- 53:25Speaker 1: the teams we've spoken about so far, I'm not sure
- 53:27Speaker 1: there's any team that's going to have an identity and
- 53:31Speaker 1: a look wholesale more differently than the Giants Will. I mean,
- 53:35Speaker 1: I think you might not even almost recognize how they
- 53:38Speaker 1: play football compared to how they've been playing football in
- 53:41Speaker 1: the past.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Well, it's interesting, and you and I were talking about
- 53:45Speaker 2: this last week. This is a team that could play
- 53:48Speaker 2: a ton of eleven, that could also play a ton
- 53:50Speaker 2: of twelve. Why do I say that Malik Nahbers coming
- 53:53Speaker 2: back from the ACL but Darus Slant could run. He
- 53:55Speaker 2: goes know them very well. Calvin Austin is a backup slot.
- 53:58Speaker 2: They love Malchai fields from one end, Stan who has
- 54:01Speaker 2: a chance to be their ex receiver, Darnell Mooney could run.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Hodgins is back. Yet another isay Hodgens won't go away
- 54:09Speaker 2: Jale and I that they missed on him. He's just
- 54:11Speaker 2: he's just too finesse. But then you go to tight end.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Likely THEO Johnson manhurts is their why mm hmm. It
- 54:18Speaker 2: could be a balance eleven twelve if they could do
- 54:19Speaker 2: whatever they want, really can Yep.
- 54:22Speaker 1: This is a team I look at and I'm like, oh, okay,
- 54:24Speaker 1: so they have some depth. They have some guys who
- 54:27Speaker 1: can play, yeah, can come off the end. And obviously
- 54:29Speaker 1: they're gonna make use of Ricard the fullback who was
- 54:33Speaker 1: with Harball in Baltimore all those years. The big question
- 54:36Speaker 1: is to Scataboo comeback healthy. Can he and Tyrone Tracy
- 54:40Speaker 1: kind of double team in that run game. But Jackson
- 54:43Speaker 1: Dart is going to help make that run game go.
- 54:45Speaker 1: And then obviously their challenge Giants is getting him to
- 54:49Speaker 1: play fast and make move you know, move the chains
- 54:53Speaker 1: with his legs, but not recklessly. That was obviously an
- 54:56Speaker 1: issue for them last year.
- 54:58Speaker 2: He was He's very inconsistent. You know, he did have
- 55:00Speaker 2: a couple of minor injuries. But now here's the thing
- 55:04Speaker 2: Eagles defensive front versus the Giants offensive line. The off
- 55:08Speaker 2: injury but massively talented Andrew Thompson left tackle. Luminers are right.
- 55:12Speaker 2: It's been a good story and not a great player,
- 55:14Speaker 2: but I'll give the guy credit. He got paid. He's
- 55:16Speaker 2: a decent player. Yes, malanoa who's going to be most
- 55:21Speaker 2: likely the right guard Michael Schmidt and running her back
- 55:24Speaker 2: if they could ever keep these guys together on the field,
- 55:27Speaker 2: they might have something there.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Hey, listen, I can't believe I'm actually gonna say this. Okay,
- 55:31Speaker 1: I like the Giants offensive line. First of all, it's big, Yes,
- 55:35Speaker 1: it's big. I mean, Illumina is a good right tackle,
- 55:38Speaker 1: like you said, he earned it. Malinoa was a tackle
- 55:41Speaker 1: at Miami. They're movie with the right guard. I had
- 55:43Speaker 1: a couple of personnel people who didn't think that that
- 55:45Speaker 1: was going to happen. But I'm saying before the draft,
- 55:48Speaker 1: tell me if any team moved this guy to guard,
- 55:50Speaker 1: they thought he could be an all pro there. So bam,
- 55:51Speaker 1: that's what the Giants are gonna do. Schmidt's is I
- 55:54Speaker 1: don't love him, but he's like four hundred pounds. The
- 55:56Speaker 1: guy's enormous Runyon we know is experiences, good player. And
- 56:00Speaker 1: Andrew Thomas. I mean, they've got they got bod Man.
- 56:03Speaker 1: This this offensive line has come so far in two
- 56:06Speaker 1: or three years, Like this is a you saw it
- 56:08Speaker 1: last year, Adam. They established the run against the Eagles
- 56:10Speaker 1: in that first game and kept pounding away. This offensive
- 56:13Speaker 1: line is not bad.
- 56:14Speaker 2: They have some death Lucas Patrick, you know, yeah, Aaron
- 56:19Speaker 2: Stanney who was a Super Bowl winner with the Bucks.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Yep for Lele who came over from with Harbes from Baltimore,
- 56:25Speaker 2: Evan Neil. What a terrible pick that was that that
- 56:28Speaker 2: he was. It was interesting I remember that draft hearing
- 56:33Speaker 2: about him because you know he went to Bama, so
- 56:34Speaker 2: everyone's sick and he's great, and the word in personal
- 56:36Speaker 2: circles like, no, he wasn't great. He's not going to
- 56:39Speaker 2: be a left tackle, you know, on good playment right,
- 56:42Speaker 2: and he had a confidence of technique issue and it
- 56:44Speaker 2: came up. They missed on that one. Yeah, they missed
- 56:47Speaker 2: on that one. So yeah, it's if they're healthy and
- 56:51Speaker 2: playing well, the Eagles will have challenges. They could spread
- 56:55Speaker 2: the Eagles out, They could play as we said to
- 56:58Speaker 2: move this along. Here have we twelve or up. And
- 57:00Speaker 2: the one issue they have is they didn't add anyone.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Scataboo is coming off with bad injury. Tracy's their change up.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Devin similar Tray doesn't run very well. He's just there.
- 57:10Speaker 2: He can handle their down. He's a good teammate. Coaches
- 57:13Speaker 2: love him. I don't worry about their run game. I
- 57:16Speaker 2: know the Eagles were terrible when they played it the Giants.
- 57:18Speaker 2: They could they couldn't block you. Yeah, you know, they
- 57:20Speaker 2: couldn't get through blocks. They the Johnts ran all over him.
- 57:22Speaker 2: But overall, I wouldn't I wouldn't worry about the run game.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Just don't throw you on that uh naggy. That's their
- 57:31Speaker 1: offensive coordinating, right, Yeah, I worry about We'll see. I
- 57:35Speaker 1: wouldn't worry about it if I thought it was gonna
- 57:37Speaker 1: be a basic run the ball to gut type run.
- 57:39Speaker 1: But be some Chiefs creativity. There'll be some horm Ball
- 57:43Speaker 1: Baltimore run game creativity. There'll be multiple tight ends. I
- 57:46Speaker 1: think they'll be able to manufacture pretty good rushing yards
- 57:49Speaker 1: behind just the size of their own line and the
- 57:52Speaker 1: fact that they got too pretty decent, too big run.
- 57:54Speaker 1: They're not great running backs, but Scataboy and Tracy have
- 57:57Speaker 1: different qualities. And we know Scataboy runs when he healthy, right,
- 58:00Speaker 1: he runs like he's you know, carrying a bowling ball
- 58:03Speaker 1: through people. So I would be a little bit leary
- 58:06Speaker 1: of it, only because I think it's going to be
- 58:09Speaker 1: their identity, Adam. I mean, I think that they're going to.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Be well honestly, because they have so much talent receiver.
- 58:16Speaker 2: When I say Okay, let me let me rephrase it.
- 58:18Speaker 2: They have enough talent receiver. We don't know how Neighbors
- 58:21Speaker 2: is cutting back from the ac ellandry, but Slight could
- 58:23Speaker 2: always run Mooney can Ronnie's better off inside. Calvin Austin
- 58:28Speaker 2: did decently late in his career with the Steelers.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Right, Let'll see.
- 58:31Speaker 2: About Malcott Fields, who's a very tough, physical X receiver.
- 58:35Speaker 2: There's enough talent there to spread the Eagles out. Yeah,
- 58:39Speaker 2: it's depending on well. I'm interested to see what how
- 58:41Speaker 2: they approach us, you know, I'm really interesting to see
- 58:43Speaker 2: how they do this. Well.
- 58:44Speaker 1: I'm also from an Eagle standpoint. I'm looking to see
- 58:47Speaker 1: if they're an inconsistent run defense again or if they're better.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I mean, they had issues last year, not just against
- 58:53Speaker 1: the Giants, we saw against the Bears, or saw against
- 58:55Speaker 1: other teams where they would be loose against the run.
- 58:58Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of shape Jalen Carter's shoulders
- 59:01Speaker 1: are going to be in. He didn't have a surgery.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Gee Hot Campbell, we have to see Jodh Wow his
- 59:06Speaker 1: shoulders are. And again we've talked about the move from
- 59:09Speaker 1: n Kobe to him, and you get a little bit
- 59:11Speaker 1: less experience going downhill in the run game, whereas Campbell
- 59:15Speaker 1: is a clearly better athlete you can cover, can be rangy,
- 59:18Speaker 1: can he get downhill well enough? So it's nothing I
- 59:23Speaker 1: think that Eagles are gonna get completely run on. I
- 59:25Speaker 1: just have some concerns about their overall run defense going
- 59:28Speaker 1: into the So we'll see.
- 59:29Speaker 2: All right, we'll see. I would not be over the concern.
- 59:34Speaker 2: It's just a matter of how they play, not so
- 59:36Speaker 2: much how doubt the Giants play. They have to play
- 59:39Speaker 2: more sound run defense that I agree with. And you know,
- 59:41Speaker 2: Grenard can play the run. He's had times he's done
- 59:44Speaker 2: very well against the run. Yeah, he's not the biggest
- 59:47Speaker 2: guy in the world, but Phillips is bigger physically, right,
- 59:49Speaker 2: bigger frame.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, the guy you guys played for a really
- 59:53Speaker 1: good I mean he played for Houston when they have
- 59:55Speaker 1: a really really good defense, and when his healthy year
- 59:58Speaker 1: in Minnesota they were a good defensively. So yeah, I
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: have no issue with that.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: All right, let's flip the script here, last part here.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: So defense, Yeah, Giants defense, They're gonna run a thirty
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: four under Gernard Wilson. That's a scheme. He's got some
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: fan Joe in his background. M hm, he's got a
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: mixture of defensive mentors. But they they they after that,
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: they traded Dexter Lawrence. They were they had like nothing
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: on the d line, so they brought in DJ Reader,
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Ray Robertson Harris's back. Lucky Photo has been around a
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: little bit. Uh the Shelby Harris who came out from Cleveland.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: So now they have players. They've got beef up front.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Darius Alexander was the third rounder last year. He's an
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: older player. Uh At, he's actually I think he's going
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: to turn twenty six or twenty seven.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: He was older when they drafted him. So they'll be
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: okay there they're playing. By the way, they've made a
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Claire Reese's a linebacker, not an edge rusher. Right, Yeah,
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: it's it's They've got the three Carle Eagles know this.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Carter came on after a terrible start, came on, Thibodeau
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: and Burns. Good rotation from the three A train Tremaine Admins,
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: who had a bad year. Greco Sel pointed out of
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: his tape study, we're kind of dumbfounded what they were thinking,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: like lukart k and bringing a guy to him play
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: well and they're not paying they're paying a decent coin.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna look up his contracts if I have it.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that floored me. I know. I do say Hardball's
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: had a good history of being able to get some
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: linebackers who looked like they were on the down side
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: or not doing well, linebackers and safeties and then they
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: come and play for him. Rokwon, they've been able to
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: you know, Roquon's one, but there are a couple others
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: that I remember that he was able to kind of
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: help out. I think sometimes when you're in a better
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: environment with better players around you. But the Giants have
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: yet to prove that they're that kind of defense. But
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: we'll see.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: This is crazy real quick. He got Tremaine Edmund's got
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: a three year deal worth twelve million a year. They
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: guaranteed the first two years. Wow, for two years, twenty
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: five point five million over two that includes some per
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: game roster bonuses. That's ridiculous. Yeah, tape doesn't reflect that.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: I don't Joe Shane just got a track extension. Okay,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: we'll see how well that works out.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Yeah, we will. We'll see. Now, do they have some
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: depth in the front seven. Yes, you know they've got
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Darius Alexander. Well, actually they just lost a player by
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: the way in uh to an a c L in
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: practice it was the guy with the hyphenated last name.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Why can't I think about roberts Roy Robertson Harris, Doy
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Robertson Harris get hurt. Yes, he got hurt, so he's
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I think it was an acl or an achilles. It
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: might have been the achilles actually, so he's definitely out
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: for the year. So now Alexander is gonna have to play. Yeah,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: an even more problem. But they drafted the third round.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: The kid was a good, good prospect, you know, well
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: just older.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Yes, so it's going to be Reader Harris with Roy
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Robertson Harris out with the torn Achilles. That you've got
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Reader Harris and Alexander Lucky photo. Like I said, he's
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: been around. It's all lost, right, Roy Robinson Harris is
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: there because he as a run stopper, that's concerning yep.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: And then McFadden has played a lot of has.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Been a start he won anymore, but he he Yeah,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: the Daris Masseau is there, who's started some games. Okay,
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: depth is Okay, Yeah, the issue for them is going
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: to be a corner, right Pulson and deebo in a
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: second year with the Giants. Nice player, nice corner. Greg
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Knews him on the let he signed a one year deal.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: You could play nickel, he could play corner. Drew Phillips
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: will be their nickel. Their depth isn't great. Deontay Banks
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: other than kickoff returns has been a big disappointment. Now,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: that's why they drafted Colton Hood. They knew that they
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: have to They had a dress corner. They did in
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: the second round. Eventually he'll start, You probably will start
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: in near two.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Yep. Again depth. They brought Washington in because he's played
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: for them in Baltimore. Yeah, it's not the greatest talent,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: but they've got guys who played there. There were times
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: when you're playing the Giants they would have a couple
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: of injuries and then they are literally bringing guys off
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: the bench that you've never heard of. They were like
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: rookie free age and signings and this this is a
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: better Giants defense, and we really haven't gotten to Well.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: First of all, I look at the secondary and I
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: do agree with you that there while there's a question mark.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I tend to lean it toward the arrow to me
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: is going more up than down. With their secondary. I've
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: always liked Nuban. I think it's a good safety. Holland
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: played well with Dolphins. I think that the culture was
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: an issue there. And if you can get these guys
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: to you know, now you've got banks out of the
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: situation and you've got some maybe adults in the room
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: in the secondary. Newsom Drew Phillips, I like is a nickel.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I just think the arrow is more to me going
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: up than it is down. And then we'll see if
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Colton Hood can get in there as a rookie.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: And do something.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: But Adam their pass rush. I mean, I know we've
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: been saying it for years, but I can't believe that
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: this will be the year that they don't have a
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: pass rush with what they've got to throw at the quarterback.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Because Burns is always good. The issue Kfim Thibodeau, as
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: we pointed out years ago, NFL body not explosive. Little
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Steff like he runs well on a straight line. If
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: you look at the athletic test and go, well, it's
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: pretty good. But if the tape tells you otherwise, This
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: is why tape is the number one evaluation of players.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: And you add the numbers, the data, R E s scoring,
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: it's not it's kind of it's it conflicts a little
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: bit mm hmm. But yeah, he has not been what
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: they thought. He's open, okay, But what you're looking for
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: is Carter to build on the way you played late
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: in the season after a very rough start, and see
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: if he can do it. They'll they'll give team fits
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: the Eagles again past block and watch. It's not a problem. Yeah,
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: a problem.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: It's just no, not problem, just but I do you
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: know the Giants can get creative here. They can put again. R. L.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Reese is not gonna be an edge rusher, but he
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: can be a pass rusher on sim pressures. And I
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: have a meaningless stat that I'm going to read to you.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: I think that this is I don't know what it means,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: but you know what getoff time is right, the time
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: to cross a pass push all right? Miles Garrett last
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: year a two point eight two get off very good
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Burns three point oh five, Will Anderson two point seven
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: to two. Jalen Phillips for the Eagles two point nine
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: to one. Micah Parsons two point seven eight, Nick Benito
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: two point five to nine. Those are some of the
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: better get off time for a pass rushers. Abdul Carter's
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: was two point three to nine. You're talking about a
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: full second and almost a half a second more than
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: some of those guys I just listed.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: He did early on. It was kind of surprising. He
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: just like, he's a rookie, so you have to give
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: him time.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: And then what one like there were a couple of
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: weeks ago. Wow, the light's going on and now you're
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: if you're a Giants fan, you're loving this. You're like, Okay,
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: you can't wait to see your two.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Yeah, so you can unlock him. Man, I don't know what.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I agree that this is gonna be a tough matchup.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: This will not this This could be another low scoring game.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: So we expect the Eagles to have a good defense.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Matt Naggies to play color. Denardan Wilson is a decoordinator
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: to people with Eagles size, obviously because they coach there. Yeah,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: you know they're could better because then be coach better
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: and they'll be way more disciplined.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: That's right. That'll be a fun one. The division. As
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: we have said for a while, we expect the division
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: to be much more competitive, much tougher this year. Could
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: be wrong, we'll see. Injuries could certainly help or threaten that,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: but I do think the NFC East is going to
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: be a lot better. And by wrapping up that Giants game,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: we have now done Commanders, Cowboys, Giants. So as we
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: get into Part three next and part four, we'll be
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: doing non division teams. That is going to do it.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: That is our wrap of part two of analyzing the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Eagles in their schedule. We'll get you part three pretty soon.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: That's going to do it for this episode of Inside
