Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Marks them all, Mr.
- 0:01Speaker 2: New York. Now three hours every weekday from 9 till
- 0:05Speaker 2: noon on 710WOR.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well, Jimmy Fallon, one of the great comedians in the
- 0:13Speaker 1: world today, a wonderful talk show host. He's on every night,
- 0:16Speaker 1: 9 to midnight, here on WOR. You'll love this show.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It's very addictive. 9 to midnight, every weeknight. And then
- 0:23Speaker 1: on Saturday night, he does the best late-night show on television.
- 0:27Speaker 1: 10 o'clock on the Fox News Channel. And the number
- 0:30Speaker 1: one finest monologue in television, Saturday nights at 10, Fox
- 0:34Speaker 1: News Channel. Jimmy Fallon, how you doing?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Good.
- 0:38Speaker 1: But you know what?
- 0:38Speaker 2: If you keep complimenting the monologue, I'm going to have
- 0:40Speaker 2: to give my drug dealer a raise. So we've got
- 0:43Speaker 2: to rein this in. Rates are going up behind Port Authority, Mr.
- 0:47Speaker 2: New York. I don't know if you heard.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Well, speaking of monologues, Saturday Night Live, Shane Gillis does
- 0:52Speaker 1: this monologue. I thought it was very funny. And then
- 0:55Speaker 1: they're trying to cancel them because he said something about
- 0:58Speaker 1: women looking hot in a gym or misogynist. What did
- 1:02Speaker 1: that come from?
- 1:03Speaker 2: It's so bananas. I mean, let's start with the obvious. Yes,
- 1:06Speaker 2: there are a lot of women at the gym dressed
- 1:10Speaker 2: like they get paid in singles. Okay, that's a real thing.
- 1:14Speaker 2: That is the reality of gym attire these days. But
- 1:16Speaker 2: the jokes were about him, how he was in the
- 1:19Speaker 2: background on a lot of these Zoom videos and he
- 1:21Speaker 2: looks like a loser. And the reality is everybody trying
- 1:25Speaker 2: to cancel him is just trying to gain relevance by
- 1:28Speaker 2: inserting themselves into this happening story. That's what this is about.
- 1:32Speaker 2: It's not about any justice for women. It's a joke.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I mean, that's the whole point is it is a joke.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It wasn't a political statement. OK, like right now we're
- 1:42Speaker 2: living in an America, OK, where we have, you know,
- 1:45Speaker 2: biological men and women's locker rooms. If you were looking
- 1:48Speaker 2: out for women, maybe you fight that battle. Or, oh,
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't know, all of these rapists and dirtbags that
- 1:54Speaker 2: ISIS is trying to deport that, you know, Democrats want
- 1:56Speaker 2: to keep in the country. Maybe if you're looking out
- 1:57Speaker 2: for women, you talk about that. But when you're going
- 1:59Speaker 2: after a comedian, you're telling me you're doing OK. OK,
- 2:03Speaker 2: because it's comedy. There's no world, OK, in the 80s
- 2:06Speaker 2: or 90s. where the person who got offended by things
- 2:09Speaker 2: was taken seriously. We just kind of ignored them and
- 2:11Speaker 2: moved on. That's what we should be doing here. Yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Hey, you go back and you watch an old Tonight
- 2:16Speaker 1: Show with Don Rickles or Letterman, and Rickles is making
- 2:18Speaker 1: fun of the black guy, the Chinese guy, the this guy,
- 2:21Speaker 1: the that guy, makes fun of Irish people, Jewish. Why
- 2:25Speaker 1: was it? It was very funny, but what happened? I mean,
- 2:29Speaker 1: nobody got offended back then.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There was no social media. Yeah. for people to go
- 2:35Speaker 2: complain on. That's the truth. Comedy never gets in trouble
- 2:39Speaker 2: in comedy clubs. It's when it travels to the internet.
- 2:42Speaker 2: The people who showed up to the comedy club bought
- 2:45Speaker 2: a two-drink minimum and shook hands on the premise that
- 2:48Speaker 2: none of this was going to be taken seriously. But
- 2:50Speaker 2: when your video makes it out to the Internet, people
- 2:53Speaker 2: want to go get clout and currency by being like,
- 2:56Speaker 2: I'm the hero saving us from the comedian. But again, it's,
- 3:00Speaker 2: you know, you're never going to be the party and go,
- 3:03Speaker 2: I can't wait till the guy who gets offended by
- 3:05Speaker 2: stuff gets here. You know, and if you do enjoy
- 3:07Speaker 2: that person, you're out of luck because they don't get
- 3:09Speaker 2: invited to parties.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah. And why is it these? I know we're going
- 3:13Speaker 1: to get in trouble here, but why is this these angry,
- 3:16Speaker 1: crazy liberals? Trump paid these women. They're all 100 years old.
- 3:20Speaker 1: They all look like Madeleine Albright. Why is that? You
- 3:23Speaker 1: never see any hot women protesting Trump?
- 3:26Speaker 2: No. It's all blue hair, nose ring, you know, driving
- 3:31Speaker 2: in the car with a COVID mask on. And the
- 3:35Speaker 2: one thing I love about him is he keeps leaning
- 3:38Speaker 2: in to the hot woman thing on his side. You know,
- 3:42Speaker 2: the new press secretary looks great. You know, she's got
- 3:45Speaker 2: a little growing to do as far as the job
- 3:46Speaker 2: is concerned. He likes to say central casting these women.
- 3:51Speaker 2: And I'm just telling you this, what the Internet in
- 3:54Speaker 2: the era of cancel culture did. is it created a
- 3:57Speaker 2: world where a lot of losers could be treated like winners.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Because you could go out there, say that you were
- 4:03Speaker 2: offended by something, you were aggrieved, and now everybody liked
- 4:07Speaker 2: your posts, And everybody elevated you in status because you
- 4:12Speaker 2: brought it to our attention, this horrific injustice that Saturday
- 4:16Speaker 2: Night Live told a joke. Guys, Saturday Night Live once
- 4:19Speaker 2: did a skit called Bad Idea Genes about these scantily
- 4:23Speaker 2: clad women and the bad decisions they'd make in Bad
- 4:26Speaker 2: Idea Genes. OK, so the cast itself has gone out
- 4:30Speaker 2: there and made these types of jokes because they're jokes,
- 4:34Speaker 2: not hate crimes. And these other losers just trying to
- 4:37Speaker 2: get attention off it should be treated like that.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Good point. Hey, Jimmy Fallon does a great radio show.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It's nine to midnight every weeknight here, nine to midnight.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And it's one of the it's a very big show,
- 4:49Speaker 1: does very well. Are you worried about this tough new competition?
- 4:53Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton has announced she's going to do a podcast now.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I said yesterday, they have this famous podcast, Wait, Wait,
- 5:00Speaker 2: Don't Tell Me. Hillary's just called Wait, Wait, Don't Kill Me.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Not good. That's just a list of people who might
- 5:08Speaker 2: be in trouble this week. I don't know. I don't
- 5:10Speaker 2: know what to do with Hillary. Okay, I'll tell you
- 5:12Speaker 2: something about her. She is obviously dealing with an incurable
- 5:17Speaker 2: case of president-itis. She really wants to be president, so
- 5:21Speaker 2: she's become that stray cat that we fed that one
- 5:23Speaker 2: time in 2016 who's never going to go away. And
- 5:26Speaker 2: I know this to be true, Mark. I want you
- 5:27Speaker 2: to really wrap your head around this, everybody listening. Do
- 5:30Speaker 2: you remember two years ago when she gave the speech
- 5:33Speaker 2: that she would have given had she won the presidency?
- 5:37Speaker 2: She did that event with Chelsea where she gave the
- 5:40Speaker 2: speech she would have given if she won. Imagine you
- 5:42Speaker 2: run into your ex-girlfriend from 10 years ago and she
- 5:45Speaker 2: reads the wedding vows she would have read had you
- 5:48Speaker 2: married her. You'd probably run out of the mall for
- 5:51Speaker 2: your own safety, would you not? Yeah. Crazy.
- 5:54Speaker 1: What, uh, As you've probably learned, you know, when you're
- 5:57Speaker 1: on stage, you're doing comedy. It's a performance. But when
- 5:59Speaker 1: you're on the radio, it's intimate. The audience really gets
- 6:03Speaker 1: the real you. Doesn't she have to worry? The real
- 6:06Speaker 1: her is a really annoying cold fish, isn't it?
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, the real her is going to hit the audience
- 6:12Speaker 2: with a speaking thing. She's going to come on the
- 6:17Speaker 2: mic and not say anything until the check clears. You're
- 6:19Speaker 2: going to be sitting there and you're going to hear, um.
- 6:22Speaker 2: um shaking a cup but yeah the warmth is not
- 6:27Speaker 2: going to be there i i i i'm excited to
- 6:29Speaker 2: watch it uh if only because i know it'll be
- 6:32Speaker 2: cringy in a good way like in a fun way
- 6:34Speaker 2: and i'll get some clips out of it for the
- 6:36Speaker 2: monologue which is great uh but for the listener i
- 6:39Speaker 2: don't i really don't know what the deliverable is here um.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Hey did you watch the bruce blakeman kathy hogle debate.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah it was good man Uh, he, he just as
- 6:51Speaker 2: a programming note, he's on Fox news Saturday night next weekend. Oh, great. And, uh,
- 6:56Speaker 2: we're going to do a big one-on-one segment where I
- 6:58Speaker 2: talk about him, about my ideas to save the state.
- 7:00Speaker 2: We're doing a segment. It's called pump the Blake's where it's,
- 7:05Speaker 2: you know, I'm going to give him my cab driver wisdom.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And he's going to say, if it's a good idea
- 7:09Speaker 2: or we need to pump the Blake's, you know, for Blakeman,
- 7:11Speaker 2: very punny, but I think it's going to be great.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And I think the debate was great. Because the line
- 7:16Speaker 2: of the night, you know, with Hochul is he kept saying,
- 7:19Speaker 2: you know, whatever she tried to bring, you know, well,
- 7:20Speaker 2: he's just hanging out with Trump. And he's like, hey,
- 7:23Speaker 2: Trump didn't raise my utility bill 48 different times. You did.
- 7:27Speaker 2: And it's true. She has no policy defense for anything.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So that's great. You have Blakeman on now. Hochul might
- 7:33Speaker 1: demand equal time. She's not exactly someone who would light
- 7:36Speaker 1: up a comedy show.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Is she?
- 7:39Speaker 3: Ha!
- 7:39Speaker 2: Hochul is only the governor because she was the only
- 7:42Speaker 2: woman in Albany that was too annoying for Cuomo to
- 7:45Speaker 2: hit on. Okay? He didn't want to put up with
- 7:48Speaker 2: her on a date. Otherwise, she would have been in
- 7:51Speaker 2: one of those Me Too's or something and got out
- 7:53Speaker 2: of there with a job and a payday. But she's
- 7:55Speaker 2: the worst, man. And she's such a Montani enabler.
- 7:58Speaker 3: And it's just been so disastrous for the state. God,
- 8:01Speaker 3: I hope he wins, man. Yeah, she's depending on Mamdani
- 8:05Speaker 3: for a lot of support and help. But did you
- 8:06Speaker 3: notice in the debate, Blakeman at one point really went
- 8:09Speaker 3: after Mamdani. He called him everything in the world. And
- 8:12Speaker 3: then when they went to Hochul, she didn't defend him.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Don't you think Mamdani must have been watching that and
- 8:16Speaker 3: getting very annoyed at her?
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but he probably also knows that at this point
- 8:21Speaker 2: in an election cycle, they try to have it both ways.
- 8:25Speaker 2: It's like, you know, that Hassan Piker loser? is allowing
- 8:28Speaker 2: Abdul Al-Said to refer to him as a Twitch streamer
- 8:31Speaker 2: from California. You know, they're obviously more than that. They've
- 8:35Speaker 2: done about 25 events together. You know, that's like me
- 8:39Speaker 2: referring to my wife suddenly as a farm girl from Ohio.
- 8:43Speaker 2: You know, that farm girl from Ohio. She's like, you
- 8:47Speaker 2: mean wife. That's how they do it.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Mamdani and the city council want to get rid of
- 8:54Speaker 1: all the horse carriages in Central Park. Is that good
- 8:56Speaker 1: or bad? Don't we need to listen, man?
- 9:00Speaker 2: I go, I go both ways on this. Obviously you
- 9:02Speaker 2: want to do something safe for the horses. I felt
- 9:04Speaker 2: like they had made a big improvement on that by
- 9:06Speaker 2: limiting them to that area. But you know, he's always
- 9:10Speaker 2: looking for the superficial win. Because that's all you really
- 9:13Speaker 2: can do. Like we went from free buses to now
- 9:17Speaker 2: you can't even get around on a horse. You know,
- 9:19Speaker 2: he's taking us backwards in time. So and one of
- 9:23Speaker 2: the reasons why is because, as you know, he can't
- 9:26Speaker 2: really follow through on any of the other dopey things
- 9:29Speaker 2: he ran on. So he spends a lot of his
- 9:31Speaker 2: days demonizing things that are aesthetic. You know, that's what
- 9:36Speaker 2: this is. It's, you know, and it's no different than like,
- 9:38Speaker 2: remember the 4th of July when he sat on the
- 9:40Speaker 2: wrong side of George Washington's desk and bashed America? I'm like, dude,
- 9:43Speaker 2: for a guy who moved to America 10 years ago
- 9:45Speaker 2: to be mayor of the biggest city we have, it's
- 9:47Speaker 2: obviously a pretty tolerant place. You know what I'm saying?
- 9:51Speaker 2: But he's such a joke.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, a horse carriage, that's pretty green energy, isn't it?
- 9:56Speaker 1: You think he'd be for that. That's as green as.
- 9:57Speaker 2: You can get. That's another good point. You know, you're
- 10:01Speaker 2: right about that. The emission's got to be better than
- 10:04Speaker 2: all of those buses he's hitting us with, right?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Well, on the other hand, the horse emission is, well,
- 10:09Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Jimmy Fail is on 9
- 10:14Speaker 1: to midnight every weeknight here on WOR. What do you
- 10:17Speaker 1: got for tonight's show?
- 10:19Speaker 2: Ooh, Dean Cain, who used to play Superman. He's going
- 10:23Speaker 2: to be in the studio yucking it up. And, you know,
- 10:27Speaker 2: he's as a conservative in Hollywood, obviously like a unicorn.
- 10:30Speaker 2: He's like a, you know, a straight guy at an
- 10:33Speaker 2: Ed Sheeran concert. And we're going to have some fun
- 10:36Speaker 2: with him and talk about the state of politics and
- 10:39Speaker 2: obviously Metallica telling everybody to shut up and sing their
- 10:42Speaker 2: songs instead of giving us political lectures.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Oh, it'll be good. So nine to midnight tonight, listen
- 10:46Speaker 1: to Jimmy Fallon and then make sure you watch him
- 10:48Speaker 1: Saturday nights, 10 o'clock Fox News Channel. And you could
- 10:52Speaker 1: actually be in the studio audience. Where do they go
- 10:55Speaker 1: to get the tickets?
- 10:57Speaker 2: Okay, the tickets are free at foxacrossamerica.com. Come hang out.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You'll meet all the Fox people. It's a good hang.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Last week, we had Chris Hansen on from 8-Line, the
- 11:08Speaker 2: Catcher Predator. Yeah, it was fun, man. We got a
- 11:11Speaker 2: lot of great guests coming up. So if you want
- 11:12Speaker 2: to be in the studio, foxacrossamerica.com. They're free tickets. We'll
- 11:16Speaker 2: hang out. You know, you get to pet me if
- 11:18Speaker 2: you sit in the front row of the SeaWorld. You
- 11:20Speaker 2: can touch the animals. It's going to be great.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Yeah, so go to foxacrossamerica.com. Listen to Jimmy Fela tonight,
- 11:26Speaker 1: 9 to midnight. Excellent, as always, Jimmy Fela. Thanks for
- 11:30Speaker 1: being with us. Take care. Hey, and don't forget, coming
- 11:35Speaker 1: up at noon, Buck and Clay. What a great show
- 11:37Speaker 1: they do every day. And then you've got the most
- 11:38Speaker 1: listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity, 3 o'clock.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You've got Jesse Kelly at 6. And as we said,
- 11:45Speaker 1: Jimmy Fela at 9 on 710WOR.
