- 0:03No ID is meant for a sane audience. No ID may
- 0:08contain Liberty -oriented content. PINCO discretion
- 0:12is advised. Now, here's No ID with Paul Banducci
- 0:19and Scott Moskowitz. Hey, from North Idaho. Welcome
- 0:27back. It's No ID, Idaho's mainstream narrative
- 0:30deconstruction. I'm Scott. Hello internet, I'm
- 0:34Paul welcome back indeed There is significantly
- 0:38less smoke in the air today. Isn't that wonderful?
- 0:41Oh, it's so nice summers back just for the very
- 0:44tail end of the like, you know 84 days of warm
- 0:49weather we get we got a few of them back here
- 0:51at the end feels good August has been a little
- 0:54cooler than it usually is and I'm not complaining
- 0:56about it. I like it cold though when I'm a northern
- 0:59boy. I like it I do too even though I'm Southern
- 1:02California originally I'm supposed to like surfing
- 1:06and they you know putting the aluminum foil At
- 1:10the at my face to reflect the Sun while I'm in
- 1:12the lounge chair, you know with the cucumbers
- 1:14over my eyes No, I've always from a snowboard.
- 1:17I talky. I think I was born in the wrong province.
- 1:21I Hear California has some mountains and places
- 1:24where it snows I've heard we live up in the mountains
- 1:30It's true. It's true. California is a big state.
- 1:33There's all sorts of terrain and topography.
- 1:37It gets the reputation of the palm trees and
- 1:39the coast, but there's plenty of other altitude
- 1:42and snow sports and cold weather. It depends
- 1:46where you go. I mean, Mendocino is a whole lot
- 1:48different than San Diego. I just like the idea.
- 1:53Well, really it's the visual I have. Of you just
- 1:56with the cucumbers on your eyes looking all hot
- 1:59to trot out there catching some rays. I'm sure
- 2:01you bronze really well Well, I have olive skin
- 2:04like your wife uh -huh You know what got me to
- 2:10thinking here at the top here in the the intro
- 2:12you know should we just strike the the Liberty
- 2:15oriented content part of the Show open because
- 2:19I feel like a lot of people the the notion of
- 2:21Liberty oriented content you know it's we warn
- 2:24them you know listener discretion but i think
- 2:27a lot of people they have a real problem with
- 2:29liberty oriented content as we were discussing
- 2:31in our pre -show show before we hit the record
- 2:33button people not not not fans of that now you
- 2:36guys are no good man you look you're into what
- 2:37now liberty i would submit that those aren't
- 2:43the listeners we want They're not interested
- 2:45in Liberty. You're probably listening to the
- 2:47wrong No, you're definitely listening to the
- 2:49wrong listening to the wrong podcast Or maybe
- 2:51you're listening to exactly the podcast you should
- 2:53be and if somehow you've mustered the fortitude
- 2:55to continue listening to something you think
- 2:57you disagree with Yeah, give us a chance to open
- 3:01your mind a little bit. I Love that and I hope
- 3:05that'd be really cool if we had some hate listens
- 3:06out there that maybe we're being converted slowly
- 3:09But surely that I would love it, too What I'm
- 3:13what I'm more concerned with is that I'm very
- 3:15unconcerned with the the notion of the people
- 3:18who think they are for Liberty But then actually
- 3:22react badly to a lot of the things that are brought
- 3:25up It's not unique to us that just is conceptually
- 3:28that copper They get brought up on the show and
- 3:30in in forums similar and they think they're Liberty
- 3:33oriented people but in point of fact I Mean that
- 3:39that's most people man. I've been I've been proselytizing
- 3:43the good news of libertarianism for 15 years
- 3:46now because I started as a neocon and kind of
- 3:49went to more libertarian, conservative, constitutionalist
- 3:51-ish, then found my way to the minarchy. But
- 3:55as I followed the concepts of don't hurt people
- 3:58and don't take their stuff and realized that
- 3:59that's precisely what the state does and what
- 4:01the state is and what it's built on, then I fully
- 4:05went full anarchist about 10 years ago, 8, 10
- 4:09years ago. But it's just a logic train. If you
- 4:13own yourself and you have self -ownership physically
- 4:16of yourself, your mind, your body, your spirit,
- 4:18your soul, and you believe that, then everything
- 4:22else flows outward from that. The non -aggression
- 4:25principle, the concepts of self -ownership, slavery
- 4:28versus liberty. At what percent is it slavery?
- 4:34Somebody takes the fruits of your labors, whether
- 4:36it's what, 10%, 5%, 80%, 100%. At what point
- 4:40is it no longer slavery? I argue it's at 0%.
- 4:44Is it no longer slavery? It's just soft slavery
- 4:47when it's 15%, 30%. Polite slavery when they
- 4:51make you fill out a form. You know, they warn
- 4:54you a couple of times before they beat you, whip
- 4:56you, kill you, chain you to the wall, lock you
- 4:59in a cell, kill you for resisting. You know,
- 5:01it's just more polite. So that's most people,
- 5:04Scott, that you describe. Lots of, on both sides,
- 5:08lots of people who go, I'm all for liberty, but,
- 5:10and it goes, well, if you follow that up with
- 5:12a caveat, you're not for liberty. So I stop worrying
- 5:15about catering to those people and just go, well,
- 5:17if they're interested in hearing what I have
- 5:19to say, cool, maybe we can get them to open their
- 5:22minds a little bit. I think a lot of people,
- 5:24Scott, if you give them the opportunity to follow
- 5:26the logic train that I have followed and that
- 5:29you are following as well. and they're interested
- 5:32and willing to do it, they find themselves in
- 5:35similar spots as us. Yes, once they can finally
- 5:41address the underlying premise beneath which
- 5:44most of their thought processes are operating,
- 5:47which is that the state is ultimately benevolent,
- 5:52but with some, yeah, there's corruption, and
- 5:56yeah, there's this, and yeah, there's that, but
- 5:57ultimately, it's must exist governance equals
- 6:01government and it must exist and it's ultimately
- 6:05here to look out for you and provide things for
- 6:07you and it's they wouldn't use the word benevolent
- 6:10but they if you do not recognize that it is ultimately
- 6:13malevolent the opposite becomes true in your
- 6:17head sort of by default whether you know it or
- 6:19not and then from that premise flows all of well
- 6:24I don't want to belabor it Maybe let's start.
- 6:27It's chock full of contradictions. It's chock
- 6:29full of contradictions. The idea that people
- 6:31are so bad they need to be governed, but somehow
- 6:32we're going to be able to find people who will
- 6:35govern responsibly when given ultimate power
- 6:38and a monopoly on violence and sole discretion
- 6:41to use it. Well, that makes no sense. That makes
- 6:44no sense at all. So we could start there. I think
- 6:47the best place to start is asking the question,
- 6:50do you own yourself? Because it's philosophical,
- 6:53it's ideological, and it's political. It's all
- 6:55the above. Do you own yourself? And if you answer
- 6:59yes, then everything you say you believe, you
- 7:03espouse, has to flow outward from that premise,
- 7:06which then immediately means you don't hurt people,
- 7:10you don't take their stuff, you don't fuck with
- 7:12them, and you don't allow it to be done to you
- 7:14or those in your care. And then go from there.
- 7:19Well, we're going to deconstruct this week's
- 7:22mainstream media narratives and Get in a sense
- 7:25of from the lens from which were we do that on
- 7:29this program? Because the mainstream media acts
- 7:32as a mouthpiece as a question This is a great
- 7:36here. We'll start with a PSA. We do these once
- 7:39in a while because the mainstream puts them out
- 7:40They don't mean him as PSA's. It's just another
- 7:44You know six o 'clock news story that they work
- 7:47in there during the hour -long broadcast But
- 7:48we're gonna give it to you as a PSA from the
- 7:51no ID show to you And this one is not about airplane
- 7:53turbulence new tonight at six o 'clock the Idaho
- 7:56Attorney General's office says they helped an
- 7:58Idahoan from being scammed someone received a
- 8:00call from a scammer claiming to be a Wells Fargo
- 8:03Investigator a scammer told the man his bank
- 8:06account had been compromised the caller convinced
- 8:09him to withdraw $14 ,000 and mail it to a Florida
- 8:13address for quote safekeeping. The man did just
- 8:16that and realized afterward that he'd melt away
- 8:19his entire savings in cash to a stranger. He
- 8:22called the Idaho Super Protection Division. They
- 8:25located the UPS truck, hauling that cash and
- 8:28stop it before it reached Florida. The full $14
- 8:31,000 was returned to that man. The AG's office
- 8:35says to be skeptical of anyone claiming to be
- 8:38a bank, a law enforcement agency, a court or
- 8:41a utility company who is demanding demanding
- 8:43money to protect you from a threat and never
- 8:45give out any personal or account information
- 8:47to someone who called you. What does that sound
- 8:51like to you? Beware of entities who strong arm
- 8:56you and ask you for money. For your safety. The
- 9:01biggest entity that strong arms you and demands
- 9:04your money. Listen again of anyone claiming to
- 9:06be a bank, a law enforcement agency, a court
- 9:09or a utility company who is demanding money to
- 9:12protect you from a threat and never give out
- 9:14any personal or account information. Unless it's
- 9:17an actual law enforcement agency. Unless it's
- 9:22us. Unless it's us. One of the in our libertarian
- 9:26circles, one of the things we love to say is
- 9:28that the state is not anti -crime. the state
- 9:32is the biggest criminal on planet earth every
- 9:35state is a criminal they are the criminals they
- 9:38are the gang they're not anti -crime they are
- 9:42anti -competition we always say don't steal guys
- 9:46the government hates competition here from the
- 9:50last episode this is episode number 42 of of
- 9:53no id from the last episode 41 deconstruction
- 9:56of some comments made by colonel bill gardener
- 10:01And that's the head of the Idaho State Patrol.
- 10:03They're very good at masking themselves as a
- 10:06legitimate private entity. And then when you
- 10:08really pull everything back and you pull these
- 10:11layers back, you realize who you're dealing with.
- 10:13You're dealing with the cartel. What's he speaking
- 10:17of? Weird. Well, their competition. And the people
- 10:22who sort of the subjects that we're sort of discussing
- 10:25here at the top, the notion of liberty minded
- 10:28people who think that they're liberty minded.
- 10:30but in point of fact recoil at the things that
- 10:33they're hearing in this opening vignette and
- 10:36Are like what are you idiots talking about people
- 10:39like Bill Gardner are good? He's not heading
- 10:42up a cartel these people are here to protect
- 10:45you So therefore they need to forcibly confiscate
- 10:48money from you in order to protect you What does
- 10:50that sound like claiming to be a bank a law enforcement?
- 10:53Agency a court or a utility company who is demanding
- 10:56money to protect you from a threat That's how
- 11:00they hear it. They're like you guys are psycho
- 11:03The bill Garner and the ISP and the entire apparatus
- 11:06that that they that they represent Idaho's government
- 11:09at every level federal government at every level
- 11:12while yes There is corruption and there is that
- 11:15ultimately these people are here to protect you.
- 11:17They're here to provide you services They're
- 11:19here to take care of you citizen now hold still
- 11:23Well It's a pretty crazy notion, don't you think,
- 11:28Scott, that the state, which has a vested interest
- 11:31in being perceived as legitimate and benevolent,
- 11:35would spend an inordinate amount of resources
- 11:38to quote unquote, educate the entire population
- 11:43about how benevolent it is. Why do you think
- 11:49they fight so hard to preserve state -run education,
- 11:54state -run schools? You know, these institutions
- 11:57that effectively look and behave like prisons,
- 12:00where you submit your children to them for eight
- 12:03hours a day, 12 to 16 years of their most formative
- 12:07lives, of the most formative years of their lives,
- 12:10and the entire way, they are told to obey. They
- 12:16are told to fit in the box. They are bi -state
- 12:19agents, by the way, teachers. our agents of the
- 12:22state as well they draw their paychecks from
- 12:24the government which ultimately then is either
- 12:26printed out of thin air via the fed or it's extracted
- 12:29from us by the way so the whole apparatus forces
- 12:33us to fund it then turns around and teaches each
- 12:36new generation that it is god it is a good god
- 12:40and it is a necessary god shut up sit down conform
- 12:43don't ask questions we put they put you in with
- 12:48only people your age for 16 years of your life
- 12:52tell you where to go when you can go there what
- 12:56is acceptable what is not acceptable and There
- 13:01we are so You know that system's been in place
- 13:05for a hundred. That's the Prussian model. That's
- 13:07been in place since the late 1800s It's not because
- 13:10the government is benevolent and was like, you
- 13:11know what we want everyone to be literate It
- 13:13was they said you know what we need everybody
- 13:15to be compliant. We need good soldiers and we
- 13:18need good factory workers That's what that system
- 13:21is for. What you just said, it is bordering on
- 13:25impossible to shake people from the premise that
- 13:28actually it's because they want us to be literate
- 13:31and they want to care for us. They just cannot
- 13:33be shaken from it. The notion that - Well, the
- 13:36programming is, it's good. It's very good. It's
- 13:39very good programming. It's well entrenched and
- 13:41it is really hard to get people deprogrammed.
- 13:45The notion that we could possibly eliminate property
- 13:47taxes, that's absolutely ridiculous. I haven't
- 13:50even given it any serious thought because they're
- 13:52a complete, they're a given. They are for your
- 13:55good. Don't you appreciate the services that
- 13:58are rendered to you on account of us charging
- 14:00you rent for the property that you own? I will
- 14:03not even entertain the notion of eliminating
- 14:05property taxes because it's so bloody stupid.
- 14:07That is the attitude from a lot of people who
- 14:09think that they're liberty -minded people. Yeah,
- 14:13well the the neighborhood gang whether it's the
- 14:15City Council or the county or the state or the
- 14:18feds whatever each neighborhood looks a little
- 14:20different But the effect is the same the neighborhood
- 14:22gang has a finish has effectively convinced the
- 14:25neighborhood That without that gang being in
- 14:29place a different gang might move in and hurt
- 14:31you more Like you know without us other gangs
- 14:35might hurt you and they'll probably hurt you
- 14:37more. So go ahead give us your rights Give us
- 14:39your money and we're only taking 40 % citizens.
- 14:42So don't you worry. We're looking out for you
- 14:44because if it wasn't for us, that gang over there
- 14:46would take 50%. So we got your back. They're
- 14:51very good at masking themselves as a legitimate
- 14:54private entity. And then when you really pull
- 14:56everything back and you pull these layers back,
- 14:59you realize who you're dealing with. You're dealing
- 15:00with the cartel. Here is KREM. The difference
- 15:04between the state and Regular gangs private sector
- 15:08gangs the several differences number one is at
- 15:10least private sector gangs have the decency to
- 15:12turn a profit So I already respect them more
- 15:15just for that alone Number two is that I have
- 15:18the option to fight back now are there there's
- 15:22always consequences to every action, but I have
- 15:24a legitimate option of fighting back because
- 15:27right now if the cop if I if I don't pay my property
- 15:30taxes and they put a lien on my house and then
- 15:33they come to seize my home and I shoot back Everybody
- 15:37will go, well, he had it coming. That's what
- 15:40he deserved. He should have done the process.
- 15:42He should have filed the right paperwork. He
- 15:44should have just paid his taxes. He should have
- 15:45just complied. What a monster. Why did the ATF
- 15:49sniper take out the guy's pregnant wife? Well,
- 15:53you know, she's adjacent to the scoff law. Yeah,
- 15:57Ruby Ridge is a great example of this. Like,
- 15:59you know, most people say they hate government
- 16:03because they just don't like who's in charge.
- 16:05I hate government because I know the government
- 16:07agents will shoot a woman in the head while she's
- 16:10holding her baby in her arms, kill the family
- 16:13dog, kill the other son, ruin an entire family's
- 16:17existence over a shotgun that's two inches too
- 16:20short. The government set them up within the
- 16:23first place. We are not the same, not even close.
- 16:31With private sector gangs, I can negotiate with
- 16:34private sector gangs. I can pit them against
- 16:36each other. Private sector gangs compete with
- 16:38each other. I can shoot back. Is it the best
- 16:41choice? It depends on the situation. You never
- 16:43know. But if the whole neighborhood rises up,
- 16:45well, then the local neighborhood gang has a
- 16:47lot harder of a time. There are options at my
- 16:50disposal. Whereas the way things are now, it's
- 16:54one way or I die, slash are kidnapped and put
- 16:59in prison. And people are programmed to see that
- 17:03as inevitable and civilized and just the way
- 17:07things are and legitimate. All of which is wrong.
- 17:11And it doesn't have to be this way. It never
- 17:14had to be this way. It still doesn't have to
- 17:16be this way, especially not with modern technology.
- 17:18With modern technology, we can have, oh my God,
- 17:21like if the state wasn't on our necks and we
- 17:23just threw off the yoke of the state. Imagine
- 17:27the. abundance we would enjoy, the prosperity
- 17:30we would enjoy. Wow. Here is a creme channel
- 17:36two out of Spokane reporting on the reopening
- 17:39of said public schools in the aftermath of the
- 17:42fires. It's been two weeks since fires destroyed
- 17:44hundreds of homes in the Spokane area fires this
- 17:48morning. Spokane Public Schools is welcoming
- 17:50teachers and staff back to three schools in some
- 17:53of the hardest hit neighborhoods. Creme T's Regan
- 17:56Gallo is live with a look at how the district
- 17:58has worked to make sure those schools are safe
- 18:00and what still needs to happen before students
- 18:02return next week. a week before the students
- 18:06return. Good morning. Yeah, yeah, good morning
- 18:10Tim. They are going to be back to school next
- 18:13Wednesday. I believe that's August 26 and right
- 18:16now one of those three properties that was under
- 18:18those level three evacuation zones is flat middle
- 18:21school, which is right behind us right now. I
- 18:23want to show you just nearly how they escape
- 18:25the flames here at the middle school right behind
- 18:27me. You catch that early how they escape the
- 18:29escape, escape, escape, escape the. Escape escape
- 18:35escape the professional reporter the flames here
- 18:38escape the flames by fleeing to the mountains
- 18:42Kind of in the mountains And like, oh, you grammar
- 18:47Nazis. Is that it? The whole show is just about
- 18:49calling out people for their grammar. Yeah, it's
- 18:51a professional speaker. She speaks professionally.
- 18:54Get it right right behind me. Completely singed
- 18:57area and just behind these trees here that looked
- 18:59burned as Fairmont Memorial Park, which also
- 19:02was impacted by those flames. Some graves were
- 19:06burned. We reported on that about a week ago.
- 19:08And if you just come walk this way right here
- 19:11is where Flat Middle School is just to show you
- 19:13how close the flames came to. impacting the school.
- 19:16And this morning as well, we're actually seeing
- 19:19some trucks, wood chippers coming out of this
- 19:21area too, because it backs up to Dwight Merkel
- 19:23and many of those trees in that area were burned
- 19:25as well. So a lot of complexity during this back
- 19:28to school time. And finally today, doors are
- 19:31opening for these three schools, including flat
- 19:33middle school for staff and teachers to come
- 19:35back. to as testing has deemed it safe for them
- 19:38to return. So what did that testing include?
- 19:41OK, so they conducted a independent testing by
- 19:45fulcrum environmental consulting to assess the
- 19:48impacts of wildfire. Fulcrum environmental consulting
- 19:50only charged the district two hundred and fifty
- 19:52thousand dollars. Independent test. I don't actually
- 19:54know the number, but it wasn't free. Independent
- 19:56testing by fulcrum environmental consulting.
- 19:59And not that it shouldn't. What are you saying?
- 20:00It should have been free. The company should
- 20:02just work for free now. I'm just saying all these
- 20:04little things add up. They're testing. What are
- 20:07they testing exactly? Oh, the air quality. Well,
- 20:09why don't you just mask the kids up? That protects
- 20:11them, doesn't it? Pepperidge Farm remembers 2020,
- 20:15guys. You see, Pepperidge Farm remembers. What
- 20:17a great opportunity for them to float a levee
- 20:21come next spring because of the added expense
- 20:23of reopening the schools during summer vacation.
- 20:29So they conducted a independent testing by Fulcrum
- 20:32Environmental Consulting to assess the impacts
- 20:35of wildfire smoke. This included installing air
- 20:38quality sensors, bringing HVAC systems back online,
- 20:41and also replacing those HVAC systems. Again,
- 20:44all these three schools' air quality conditions
- 20:46were found to be... That's not cheap. Well, and
- 20:48what have they done up to this point? They didn't
- 20:50have air quality sensors, so what have they been
- 20:52doing for the last 2 ,000 years? Looking at the
- 20:58air? Testing it out the old -fashioned way Like
- 21:02licking their index finger and sticking it up.
- 21:05I Don't dying I guess is probably what we've
- 21:07all been doing without knowing we've just been
- 21:10dying from bad air quality That just got us out
- 21:13of nowhere. We're all gonna die HVAC systems.
- 21:17Again, all these three schools air quality conditions
- 21:19were found to be in good to moderate range, determining
- 21:22that it was safe for staff to return and more
- 21:25testing will continue this week before students
- 21:27return next week. Part school should be spaces.
- 21:31I bet that IQ points have gone up a few points
- 21:37for the students while they've been away from
- 21:39school this summer. What you want to bet? And
- 21:41then it'll drop back down when school starts.
- 21:44Yeah, that's probably about right. But don't
- 21:46worry, Paul. We'll just drop the standards to
- 21:48whatever their IQ gets to. Our school should
- 21:50be spaces where... This is, by the way, what
- 21:52I wanted. This is the most amazing part of this
- 21:54clip. I believe this is the superintendent. Our
- 21:57school should be spaces where kids feel loved
- 21:59and cared for and that they belong. And that's
- 22:02true any day, at any time. It's particularly
- 22:06important right now. And I believe we've got
- 22:09incredible staff and teachers that are ready.
- 22:12to step up and fill that space. And it's about
- 22:14providing as much normalcy as possible. This
- 22:18coming from the entities that went full totalitarian
- 22:22dystopia on the kids for varying lengths of time
- 22:26in Spokane, I don't know, what was it? A year,
- 22:28six months, a year, two years in some places,
- 22:31maybe not in Spokane. but they just really they
- 22:33just want to show you they're just reminding
- 22:35you how much they love you they care for you
- 22:37and they want to provide normalcy but let's pretend
- 22:40we're going to pretend that 2020 and 2021 never
- 22:43happened and we never showed our true nature
- 22:46which is abusive in a physical and mental sense
- 22:49well that was the new normal scott remember oh
- 22:53oh right yeah yeah very important word yeah that
- 22:57was that was normalcy for a couple of years the
- 22:59new normal And we were all in it together, exactly
- 23:03the same way, with the same rules for everybody.
- 23:07Nobody knew what to do. We were working with
- 23:09incomplete information, so we had to wrestle
- 23:12the mask back over the kid's nose if they dared
- 23:14drop it down at their desk. What did you want
- 23:17us to do? We'd love and care for the kids. Yeah,
- 23:21well, the best course of action when you have
- 23:24incomplete information is definitely to charge
- 23:27full speed ahead. with full throated measures
- 23:31of whatever you're planning to do. That's usually,
- 23:34that is the best time. We don't really know what's
- 23:36going on, but by God, we are gonna do it so hard.
- 23:40If everything we do saves just one life. I'll
- 23:45be here providing n important here as kids ar
- 23:50into the classroom. We als officials that 164
- 23:55homes families were destroyed i that 164 number
- 24:04might be maybe even more students how many lived
- 24:09under one complexity here as people into the
- 24:15class room. Many trying to focus on studie at
- 24:20home. Families being di deal with. We're going
- 24:24t this morning as teachers back inside, maybe
- 24:27hopf of them about how they 'r an important time
- 24:31to get and to get curriculum read to talk this
- 24:35morning. We' middle school for now repo back
- 24:39to you. And obviously the most devastating time
- 24:44of many of these families lives, presumably,
- 24:47you know, losing your homes, you know, entire
- 24:49blocks, neighborhoods have been just flattened.
- 24:54Well, these families lives have been completely
- 24:57disrupted in the worst of ways. So I don't think
- 25:00we're we're not trying to make fun of that because
- 25:02that's a that is a legitimate thing. It's a legitimate
- 25:05bummer and definitely feel for those families.
- 25:08I think mainly what we're focusing on here and
- 25:11making fun of is just how breathlessly complex
- 25:15apparently it is to fix a few things, test the
- 25:19air and make sure it's safe to go back to the
- 25:21school buildings. That's the part that gets me.
- 25:25And again, make no mistake, they're gonna come
- 25:28begging for money really soon. The formula is
- 25:32the same. So that's what I'm keying in on. Yeah,
- 25:35no, it doesn't diminish the, oh man, what's the
- 25:38word I want? But I guess disruption is the word
- 25:40I got right now. that these families are experiencing.
- 25:43Kind of catastrophic and traumatic. So that part
- 25:46sucks. It's terrible. Well, speaking of begging
- 25:49for money or a version of it, several people
- 25:53sent this to me and I hope you saw it as well.
- 25:56The statement put out a public statement by the
- 25:58mayor of Post Falls, Randy Westland, from yesterday
- 26:02regarding the article pulled up. Okay, well,
- 26:05it's the looming deficit. I it's a written statement.
- 26:08I plugged it into 11 labs So these are Randy
- 26:11Westland's words from his public statement yesterday
- 26:14as read by an AI voice The city is in a difficult
- 26:18financial position inflation and skyrocketing
- 26:21expenses have far outstripped tax revenue driving
- 26:23us toward insolvency We can see a substantial
- 26:26deficit on the horizon that will only get worse
- 26:28over time and it's not just us Every local taxing
- 26:32district in Idaho is in the same position We're
- 26:35starting to feel the long -term effects of the
- 26:37rapid devaluation of the dollar. It's going to
- 26:39get worse The response from many elected officials
- 26:43will credit to mayor Westland for even using
- 26:46terminology along those lines it's refreshing
- 26:49to hear that from a official even tangentially
- 26:54related to Government to that. It's not just
- 26:57like inflation inflation Well, it's a devaluation
- 27:00of the currency, which was, of course, caused
- 27:02by government, although not Randy Westland's
- 27:04government. Well, not maybe a little bit, but
- 27:10I mean, they're all part of the same. Well, what
- 27:13I mean by that is that Randy hasn't been in power
- 27:15long enough to have had to have moved the needle
- 27:17as the mayor of Post Falls. But but the point
- 27:22still stands and I firmly, firmly argue it. argue
- 27:25for this and agree with this is that every every
- 27:28government at every level below the feds because
- 27:30inflation is a monetary it's exclusively a monetary
- 27:33policy effect and it can only happen at the federal
- 27:37level because only the feds have the power to
- 27:40well create more paper money to print more fiat
- 27:43currency as they have done and on overdrive since
- 27:47we untethered from gold in 1971 So that is a
- 27:51federal level monetary policy phenomenon and
- 27:53exclusively that Inflation is the devaluation
- 27:58of the dollar. It is a loss of purchasing power
- 28:01It is not that goods and services cost more.
- 28:04They are not more expensive It is that your dollar
- 28:07buys less and those those are two different things
- 28:10There is an important distinction there and I
- 28:12would wager Randy Westland understands that distinction
- 28:15So it's nice to hear him say it. It's nice to
- 28:17hear him identify it. But to my other point,
- 28:21pretty much since the Federal Reserve has been
- 28:23a thing, and federal grants have been a thing,
- 28:26and federal money flowing to the states has been
- 28:28a thing, at the state level, the county level,
- 28:30and the municipal level, every time any of those
- 28:33levels of government accept federal funds for
- 28:36anything, a grant, a program, expansion of Medicaid
- 28:40in Idaho, et cetera, it has contributed to the
- 28:44inflationary pressure because when when at the
- 28:48federal budget level only it depends and it depends
- 28:51on who you ask but 60 to 70 percent of the federal
- 28:55budget comes from taxation so that means the
- 28:59other 30 to 40 percent is effectively it's on
- 29:02it's unfunded there is no revenue i guess like
- 29:06re in real terms coming in so it is quite literally
- 29:09just created out of thin air which Let's be honest,
- 29:13all of it is printed out of thin air to begin
- 29:14with, fiat currency is. But for 30 % to 40 %
- 29:19of the budget every year, it's straight up just
- 29:21printed. Just boom. We need it, we print it.
- 29:25Which adds to inflation. So cities, counties,
- 29:29states, all basically suckling at the teat of
- 29:34the federal largesse directly contributes to
- 29:38the inflationary pressure we all feel. So yes,
- 29:41Post Falls is absolutely responsible, a culpable
- 29:44contributing factor, all of the above. I'd say
- 29:48less so under Randy for now. Although under his
- 29:53grow revenue section, one of the things he plans
- 29:55to do is pursue new grant opportunities. That
- 30:01will be from the federal government. So if you
- 30:05get a million dollar grant, it means in between
- 30:09Four hundred three and four hundred thousand
- 30:11dollars of that million dollar grant is just
- 30:14freshly printed money that hasn't been collected
- 30:17as revenue and then redistributed. It's just
- 30:19been poof created out of nowhere. Right in the
- 30:23immediate. Touche the rapid devaluation of the
- 30:28dollar. It's going to get worse. The response
- 30:31from many elected officials will be to raise
- 30:33taxes by the maximum amount. Put levy overrides
- 30:36on the ballot, burn through savings, and hope
- 30:38things somehow get better. Post falls is going
- 30:41to be different. We will not leave a crisis for
- 30:43those who come after us. We will be proactive.
- 30:47Government must live within its means, just like
- 30:49everyone else. To that end, I'm releasing my
- 30:52plan to streamline government and make significant
- 30:54cuts. It outlines the problem and lists key strategies
- 30:58for attacking the problem from every angle. No
- 31:00stone will be left unturned. This is a draft
- 31:03document because this process cannot be done
- 31:05without public input. The people should decide
- 31:08how we spend their money and which services we
- 31:10cut. I want to hear your input. I will incorporate
- 31:13this community feedback into the draft and then
- 31:16bring this document to the City Council to ask
- 31:18for formal adoption. This process of reform will
- 31:21take years and the path will not be easy. But
- 31:24we will not run from the problems we were elected
- 31:26to solve. Like always, Post Falls will set the
- 31:29gold standard for other cities to follow. Did
- 31:38I lose you? No, I was asking about the same thing.
- 31:42I think we're both just pondering what we just
- 31:45heard there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. On one hand, I
- 31:51applaud Randy Westland for taking this approach.
- 31:54It is in this day and age. It's a bit of a novel.
- 31:58It shouldn't be a novel approach, but it is a
- 32:00little bit of a novel approach. I think he's
- 32:02probably being the most honest about it of any
- 32:04local politician I've heard in some time. That
- 32:06includes the county committee, county commissioners,
- 32:08Bonner County commissioners. It's a definitely
- 32:11a far cry and a hell of a contrast against the
- 32:14city of Coeur d 'Alene, which is just, you know,
- 32:17has done nothing but wring their hands over their
- 32:19budget for years and years and years. And then
- 32:20they just take the three percent every year and
- 32:22then go, oh, well, what else can we do? We're
- 32:25just going to hike your taxes again. I don't
- 32:27think they've cut a damn thing ever. It's like
- 32:30you and I were talking about off air before this
- 32:32is. It's all it's all shit. This just is a lighter
- 32:36shade of shit and still at the same time again
- 32:39Like as I'm reading this one of the one of the
- 32:41main bullet points of the plan is to as I end
- 32:44quote You know pursue new grant opportunities.
- 32:47Well, unless you're finding I guess private charities
- 32:51or private organizations that are handing out
- 32:54grants to the government Well that unless you
- 32:57find something like that, which I don't think
- 32:58really exists. The only thing that can mean is
- 33:01federal grants And federal grants still comes,
- 33:05it still is a tax on us in one way or the other,
- 33:08either it's money that has been literally ripped
- 33:10from our wallets or it's inflationary policy
- 33:13that then just destroys the purchasing power
- 33:16of what's left in our wallets, which is a tax
- 33:19on the other side of the dollar. So it's refreshing,
- 33:24but I'm not super impressed. It's better than
- 33:27Coeur d 'Alene. It's better than Sandpoint. So
- 33:31he's got that going for him. I am tired of this
- 33:34shit So mayor of Coeur d 'Alene Dan and gookin
- 33:39I did see some comments or maybe it was one comment.
- 33:44It was probably made in multiple places by whoever
- 33:47the hell said well, what about this, you know
- 33:49was something like you could save a 400 ,000
- 33:52and Mayor Weston was like that doesn't does not
- 33:55even cover the increased cost of insurance for
- 33:59employees that line item. So stuff like that,
- 34:04well, it's like, well, it's a given. I mean,
- 34:05it's a given. There's the employees get raises
- 34:08scheduled. They have all of their health insurance
- 34:10paid for scheduled. There's nothing we can do
- 34:13about any of that, even though those are the
- 34:16biggest or among the biggest line items, you
- 34:19know, week after week after quarter after time
- 34:21of memorial. But these are sacred cows. They
- 34:24cannot be touched. Even though whenever you dig
- 34:27in to where the majority of any given whatever
- 34:30is going it is salary and benefits packages for
- 34:34the staff The people that are that are tasked
- 34:37with solving the problem are the problem How
- 34:40do you solve that? I? Have the answer pick me
- 34:45pick me um You can't I'm gonna. Oh, I was gonna
- 34:49call on gookin Everybody everybody always has
- 34:53an opinion on what should be cut And of course,
- 34:56everybody disagrees on what should be cut because,
- 34:58you know, everybody else, everybody says XYZ
- 35:00should be cut, but not ABC because, you know,
- 35:04everybody's got their favorite thing, you know,
- 35:05cut this for that guy, but don't you dare cut
- 35:07the thing I like. And you could totally save
- 35:10a quarter of a million dollars. And then the
- 35:13mayor or the county commissioner or the governor
- 35:15is like, yeah, I guess, cool. But that's basically
- 35:17just a rounding error in our budget. And the
- 35:19things that it goes towards are legal obligations
- 35:22that we can't get away from. So it's like, oh,
- 35:24hey, Mayor Westland, you could totally save a
- 35:26bunch of money if you do this. And Westland goes,
- 35:28you sure about that? You know, or as every. conservative
- 35:38ever has learned when they join the government
- 35:41and they're like, I'm going to fix these problems.
- 35:44And a lot of us who have already, you know, we're
- 35:46at this point blackpilled. We were like, no,
- 35:50you can't. the system is literally designed for
- 35:54you to not be able to fix it, because it's not
- 35:57broken. This is how it's designed. And they go,
- 36:00oh, what do you know? We're going to try it again.
- 36:02But it might work for us. Right. And this is
- 36:06something that you've said before, and it's stuck
- 36:08with me, which is like, yeah, there is no, you
- 36:11join your school board, you do this and that.
- 36:13You're going to try to fix something that's operating
- 36:15exactly as it's set up to be operating. Rots
- 36:19a rock. Rod's a ruck. If you look at every single
- 36:25example of conservatives for a time having control
- 36:28of a school board, of a city council, of a county
- 36:33commission, you name it, anything, libertarians,
- 36:36conservatives, every time they try and on the
- 36:37rare occasion, they win and gain control. It
- 36:40only lasts for a sliver of time because the moment
- 36:43that they maybe are starting to be somewhat effective,
- 36:47people are upset. because government employees
- 36:50lose their jobs. It's always a classic sob story.
- 36:52Then the people are like, wait a minute, you
- 36:53can't do that. Linda here lost her job of 20
- 36:56years working for the state. Well, what did Linda
- 36:58do? Well, she filed the papers real good. We
- 37:01don't need that. But Linda's job, you name it,
- 37:07to extrapolate that out in a million ways. And
- 37:10then the conservatives lose the election and
- 37:12it's all over and they tried and they lasted,
- 37:14you know, two to six years. And then everything
- 37:16goes back to the way it was. NIC is a good example
- 37:19of that. Every school district in this area is
- 37:21a good example of that. All the city councils
- 37:22are a good example of that. It's just over and
- 37:25over again. It's like Groundhog Day. Well, what
- 37:28if there is no tomorrow? There wasn't one today.
- 37:32What would you say you do here, Linda? You do
- 37:35here I deal with the goddamn customers. So the
- 37:38engineers don't have to I have people skills
- 37:41I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand
- 37:45that? What the hell is wrong with you people?
- 37:49When we move off of this topic you remind me
- 37:52I have a story about customers Okay. Well, that's
- 37:56now it's all you a great time to do that. I was
- 37:58gonna do an ask ball before mid show So go ahead
- 38:01fine. Yeah, hit me with it Story time. Okay,
- 38:05so there I was minding my own business last week
- 38:09Living my life my dial -up tune for this. I think
- 38:13I got a good tune for this and I had already
- 38:17paid my Idaho State taxes And was feeling pretty
- 38:22salty about it six weeks ago I Thought it was
- 38:26all done and over with and then BAM blammo. I
- 38:29get a letter in the mail It says I owe another
- 38:32$131, and it's all late penalty because I paid
- 38:38my taxes too late. Paid them in full, but not
- 38:42soon enough. So I go, well, why didn't I get
- 38:49a letter about this the first go round? Instead,
- 38:51the only letter I get is a demand letter that
- 38:53says if you don't pay this $131, $130 .99 in
- 38:5710 days or less, We put a lien on your home.
- 39:00We put a lien on whatever property that you have
- 39:03registered with the state and we can garnish
- 39:05your wages. It's like, oh man. Yeah, this is
- 39:08government. I don't know who thinks government
- 39:10is a cool benevolent thing because don't just
- 39:13miss a tax payment. See how it goes. So I go
- 39:19online and I pay the damn thing because there's
- 39:22really no way around this one. So I don't even
- 39:25bother wasting my time. I just go pay it and
- 39:28After I pay it the landing page that comes up
- 39:33is a please rate us page It says Feedback opportunity
- 39:45how satisfied are you with the service you received
- 39:48from the Idaho State Tax Commission? Service
- 39:52and you could give it one to five stars and leave
- 39:55a comment So naturally I gave it one star would
- 39:59not recommend and in the comments said taxation
- 40:02is theft and the state is a gang of parasitic
- 40:04extortionists go to hell They're very good at
- 40:09masking themselves as a legitimate private entity
- 40:12and then when you really pull everything back
- 40:15and you pull these layers back You realize who
- 40:17you're dealing with you're dealing with the cartel.
- 40:19Yeah, rate us on you know with a cartel But these
- 40:23guys but hey They're a polite cartel. And all
- 40:28they did was threaten to take my home, my cars,
- 40:31and my wages. If I didn't pay in 10 days. Yeah.
- 40:36But remember, citizen, that without them, society
- 40:41would collapse. We'd all just rape and murder
- 40:44and kill each other. We would probably steal
- 40:47each other's stuff if the government wasn't there
- 40:49to steal it for us. and call us a customer. Yes,
- 40:57customer, rate your experience at our establishment.
- 41:01Dude, can you imagine this? You're going down
- 41:04the street and some guy mugs you at Knife Point
- 41:07and as he's running away goes, like and follow
- 41:12me on Yelp. Oh my God. or hands you a business
- 41:20card before he walks away and goes, hey, when
- 41:23we're done here, if you don't mind taking five
- 41:25minutes and answering the survey for us, I'd
- 41:27really appreciate it. All right. Thanks for your
- 41:29shit. Bye. Yeah. Here's a little piece of paper
- 41:32and a golf pencil. Oh, good stuff. What I'm going
- 41:36to get a kick out of that. Yeah. Oh, and here's
- 41:38the other thing as an aside as a second part
- 41:41of this story early in 2025. So last year, we're
- 41:46talking a year and a half ago, I sold my business.
- 41:49And I sold the business in mid -April. I hadn't
- 41:52had payroll since the end of March on paper.
- 41:56Well, eight months goes by, I think. Nine months.
- 42:00And I get a notice in the mail from the Idaho
- 42:04Department of Labor. And of course, the tax commission
- 42:07is kind of behind all of it as well, like as
- 42:09another layer underneath if you got to get that
- 42:11far. But first, it's the Department of Labor.
- 42:14And they're bothering me about two things. First
- 42:18off, they say that I owe like $800 on my unemployment
- 42:22insurance policy that you have to have as an
- 42:26employer in Idaho. You have to have it. They
- 42:28force you to buy it and they force you to buy
- 42:30it from them. So speaking of cartels and monopolies,
- 42:34and they were missing three quarterly reports
- 42:36that you also have to file. So not only do you
- 42:39have to pay out of your own pocket to, quote
- 42:42unquote, do unemployment insurance, which, oh,
- 42:44by the way, you can't collect under a lot of
- 42:46different circumstances if you do end up getting
- 42:48laid off or fired or injured or whatever, although
- 42:50injuries is workers comps. That's a whole nother
- 42:52can of worms. And that's a whole nother insurance
- 42:55bill that I as an employer pay. So a lot of the
- 42:59time you can't even collect UI. But boy, how
- 43:01do you they collect it from you, the employer.
- 43:04Remember, though, that this is, what is it for?
- 43:07The insurance policy that we force you to get.
- 43:11It's for your protection and safety. That's why
- 43:15we force you to be a bank, a law enforcement
- 43:17agency, a court or a utility company who is demanding
- 43:21money to protect you from a threat. It's for
- 43:24your. I feel so protected. Try and file a claim.
- 43:30But it's for your safety. It's to protect you
- 43:33citizen. Hold still while we protect you. Why
- 43:36are you squirming? I'm squirming because I don't
- 43:40like giving interest free loans out, let alone
- 43:42to the government. Yeah. So when they did this,
- 43:47obviously I fire right back. I get on the horn
- 43:49and I go, Hey, if you guys had done three seconds
- 43:52of research and it should already be in your
- 43:54system, we dissolved that corporation last year.
- 43:56So, you know, it's, it is now I think May of
- 43:592026 when I'm having this conversation and I'm
- 44:01like, in October, in October, I fully dissolved
- 44:06that corporate that S corp. It's gone. And oh,
- 44:08by the way, if you also had done the due diligence
- 44:10to check your own records, we haven't had payroll
- 44:14since March, the first quarter of 2025. So I
- 44:19don't owe you shit. Said it obviously a little
- 44:22more politely, but not by much. I don't know
- 44:23you crap. Yes. And I get an email back a day
- 44:30later that says, actually, after looking your
- 44:33case up, we owe you $145 .65 from overpayments
- 44:39from spring of 2025. Ah, our bad. So if you fill
- 44:46out these four different forms, we can get you
- 44:49your money back. So I do. The check shows up
- 44:55three weeks later. Guess who it's made out to
- 44:59Scott The corporation that was dissolved Look
- 45:09at you. Yeah, guess what I can't do with it Anything
- 45:15it's a paperweight. Well, that was gonna say
- 45:17that's this is the entity that specializes in
- 45:20worthless paper So it makes perfect sense. Yeah
- 45:22Yep. Yep, pretty good. So I get on the horn and
- 45:25I go hey WTF, I filled out all your bullshit.
- 45:29I gave you specific instructions, specific instructions
- 45:32on where to send it, who to make it out to, the
- 45:34whole thing. So they go, oh, our bad, we'll fix
- 45:38it. But you've got to fill out two more different
- 45:41forms, one to nullify this, they call them warrants
- 45:44instead of checks, but to nullify this warrant
- 45:46and one to request a replacement warrant. Oh
- 45:48my God. Fine. Fine. And then also please, please
- 45:51include the instructions on who to make it out
- 45:53to. I was like, God damn it. I did that already,
- 45:55but okay. So I fill out two more forms, send
- 45:57it off and they go, all right, cool. We got you,
- 45:58bro. Two weeks later, the check shows up. Can
- 46:01you guess who it was made out to Scott? Oh man.
- 46:04I mean, it can't possibly be. It's got to be
- 46:06like Dan Gukin. It can't possibly be the same
- 46:09ding, ding S corp. The one in the same. Good
- 46:16job. Twice What would you say You do here? Whoever's
- 46:25on what you just said is one of the most insanely
- 46:28idiotic things I have ever heard Everyone in
- 46:32this room is now dumber for having listened to
- 46:35it. May God have mercy on your soul. I award
- 46:38you no point now I am six to seven hours into
- 46:43this between the phone calls, the emails, and
- 46:46filing all of their fucking paperwork. For $130.
- 46:49Hey, you're at the federal minimum wage. For
- 46:51$145, sir. $145. Oh, sorry. Oh, my god. So I
- 46:57get on the horn again, and I go, hey. WTF and
- 47:02the response comes back from somebody else because
- 47:05the first guy was now on vacation for two weeks
- 47:08So I have to re Go over the whole thing with
- 47:15with this gal this gal who has no idea what's
- 47:18going on So I got a filler in and she says oh,
- 47:21yeah. Well, here's all the paperwork You got
- 47:24to fill out to have us fix it and I was like
- 47:26bitch I did, so I just uploaded everything again
- 47:31and I said, here it all is again. I'm not redoing
- 47:33it. You do something with it. Two days goes by.
- 47:37No, this is a long story, but this is like, it's
- 47:40a hundred miles of bad road anytime you deal
- 47:42with the government. Finally, I get a response
- 47:44that says, oh, hey, so all that's cool and all
- 47:47the stuff you gave me, but now we need you to
- 47:49physically mail back both of the bad checks.
- 47:53You got to mail them to us. And I was like, like
- 47:56a physical mail like in the envelope with a stamp
- 47:58and everything and she goes yeah we the the accounting
- 48:01department says they got to have them or they
- 48:03can't issue a third check so then i go no i'm
- 48:08not doing that i'm not doing that i'm seven hours
- 48:10into this And now you want me to spend my time
- 48:13to drive down to the post office, because I'm
- 48:15going to have to send it with receipt confirmation.
- 48:18I straight up told them, I said, your guys' incompetence
- 48:20demands that I now have to have receipt confirmation,
- 48:24which costs me $5 .55. I looked it up. The stamp
- 48:27is $0 .82. I looked it up. It's going to cost
- 48:29me an hour to get to in there, because I live
- 48:31in the rural area. And it's going to cost me
- 48:33three gallons of gas at $4 .60 a gallon. I'm
- 48:36invoicing you. I'll invoice you for all of it.
- 48:39Plus my seven hours that I already have into
- 48:41this and I average about $150 an hour with my
- 48:44current work, which is, which is actually low.
- 48:46I low balled it just to be quote unquote polite
- 48:49and said, yeah, this is bullshit. So then I get
- 48:52the top gal, Nancy, I think was her name, who
- 48:56said, Mr. Banducci, we know it's really a bummer,
- 49:00yada, yada, yada. But like legally this is now
- 49:02how it has to be done because of what happened,
- 49:04yada, yada, yada. And, uh, and I said, Fine,
- 49:08I'll do it, but I'm invoicing you and this is
- 49:11absolute bullshit and you all are incompetent.
- 49:13I'm invoicing you, yeah. And I sent it all off.
- 49:17It took them three more weeks to send me my check
- 49:22and I got it. I got it last Friday. You did get
- 49:27it and it's made out to? I did. Fade out to now
- 49:33that check that my wife is actually as we speak
- 49:35depositing. I said it's made out to who? To Paul
- 49:38Banducci. Like it should have been the first
- 49:41time. Whoa. I actually scanned in the check stubs
- 49:45or the useless checks. I scanned it all in along
- 49:49with the instructions on what to do and emailed
- 49:51it back to everybody on the other end and said,
- 49:53look, here it all is. How come this doesn't work?
- 49:56And they said, no, we need it. We need it physical.
- 49:58You have to send it, mail it to us. So we got
- 50:01it Friday and it will now cover the late penalty
- 50:07that I just paid to the state of Idaho yesterday.
- 50:10Perfect. Yay. Excellent. So everything you should
- 50:14know about government. Now, you know. I can't
- 50:19wait for the Irving to get back from his six
- 50:22-week vacation on the French Riviera. See, what
- 50:25happened is Governor Pervert, he made a declaration
- 50:29that that guy's entire department should get
- 50:31a six -week all -expenses paid vacation. So if
- 50:33the guy's gone, obviously, when he gets back
- 50:35and he looks at your invoice and then he does
- 50:37that thing where he crumples it up and tosses
- 50:39it backwards over his shoulder into a waste paper
- 50:41basket, that's going to be especially satisfying.
- 50:45And what's crazy about all of that is that after
- 50:47I would get done telling a story like this, most
- 50:50people out there will just have this reaction.
- 50:53That's the coolest fucking story I've ever heard
- 50:55in my entire life. That's insane. Can I hear
- 50:57it again? Do you have time? And then just move
- 51:00on with their lives. A lot of outs, a lot of
- 51:04what have yous. But hey, you know, but if we
- 51:07didn't pay our property taxes, society would
- 51:10fucking collapse somehow. They're a given. They're
- 51:13an absolute given. Our alien overlords have have
- 51:17foisted them on us. There's absolutely nothing
- 51:18we can do about it. We can't possibly consider
- 51:21any premise that suggests that they're immoral
- 51:24or confiscatory or wrong or that the services
- 51:28that they say, no, no, no, no, no. They're just
- 51:29a given. They're they're etched into the into
- 51:32the tablet. from Sinai, now cough it up citizen
- 51:34and hold still for the services. Stop squirming!
- 51:38I am one happy customer. They're very good at
- 52:02masking themselves as a legitimate private entity
- 52:05And then when you really pull everything back
- 52:07and you pull these layers back you realize who
- 52:10you're dealing with you're dealing with the cartel
- 52:12You ready to do an ask Paul before mid show?
- 52:15Let's do it Here comes the question big or small
- 52:18make your guess before we call the game begins.
- 52:21It's asked brought to you by Pfizer. This is
- 52:25a little bit of a longer clip than normal for
- 52:28an asphalt. It's from NPR. It's about a minute
- 52:3030 seconds and I've bleeped out all the instances.
- 52:32We're going to guess at the end. One of Idaho's
- 52:34largest public health entities is putting up
- 52:36a quarter million dollars to battle a growing
- 52:39infestation of as George Prentice reports, a
- 52:42growing number of Idahoans say it's nowhere near
- 52:45enough and it's long overdue. Calls began coming
- 52:48into city halls across the region years ago,
- 52:51and now residents and even officials are using
- 52:54words like infestation or invasion. City and
- 52:57county governments said they didn't have the
- 52:59authority or funding to create special abatement
- 53:02districts for invasive b****. So the problem
- 53:05was pushed to the state legislature. The one
- 53:08thing we can't do is nothing. that could result
- 53:10in a truly out of control situation. Nah, I just
- 53:13have to, we're gonna stop it there because I
- 53:15have to highlight this soundboard material. One
- 53:18thing we can't do is nothing. Does that not just
- 53:22sum up everything we've been talking about? That's
- 53:25the only thing you should do, asshole! The only
- 53:28thing! The one thing we can't do is nothing.
- 53:32That's the one thing we can't do. Now hold still
- 53:34because we can't do nothing. That could result
- 53:36in a truly out of control situation. That's Boise
- 53:39Democratic Representative Steve Birch. I can't
- 53:41believe they actually labeled him Democrat, but
- 53:44they said Democratic. He's a Democrat. But whatever,
- 53:47they at least labeled him this time. That's Boise
- 53:49Democratic Representative Steve Birch. Democratic,
- 53:52yeah. But his bill asking the Idaho Department
- 53:54of Agriculture to take the lead on the problem
- 53:56failed to pass the Idaho House. Meanwhile, at
- 53:59city halls in Boise, Garden City, Cuna, Meridian,
- 54:02and Starr, complaint calls continue to grow almost
- 54:05as fast as the... population. There's just a
- 54:08real need in Ada County for somebody to convene
- 54:11all the players that want to address that problem.
- 54:14That central district health director Kristen
- 54:16Ryan last Friday asking the district's board
- 54:19to reallocate $250 ,000 to get a prevention program
- 54:23going in Ada County. Meanwhile, the latest signs
- 54:26to pop up in Boise front yards read while you
- 54:29debate, we populate with a larger than life image
- 54:33of a mother surrounded by dozens of. baby. A
- 54:37county health official says they've been getting
- 54:39into feedlots, dairies and commercial kitchens.
- 54:44What are they talking about? Illegal immigrants.
- 54:52Oh, just because it was an invasion, huh? Want
- 54:55to guess again? Well, they're popping up all
- 54:58over the place they breed like crazy They're
- 55:01found all over big ag down there and in southern,
- 55:05Idaho, South, Idaho Undocumented workers People
- 55:14don't have a problem with it till they show up
- 55:15on your lawn All right, all right, hold on it's
- 55:21got to be it's got to be like Like ground squirrels
- 55:26or something would be my guess North Idaho NAACP
- 55:32guy You're in the right right you're in the right
- 55:38vein it is rodentia, okay But it's not squirrels
- 55:42one of Idaho's largest public health entities
- 55:44is putting up a quarter million dollars to battle
- 55:46a growing infestation of rats as George Prentice
- 55:50reports a girl rats about rats Rats well ground
- 55:55squirrels prayer ground rodents basically, you
- 55:59know prairie prairie dogs. They're They're just
- 56:02cuter rats. They're cute. Of course they are.
- 56:05Yeah, they for sure are But yeah, so we're talking
- 56:08straight -up rats then rats. Yep interesting
- 56:11Not a problem that has been common to rural areas
- 56:16rats are typically city folk problems Well, so
- 56:19I dug into it a little bit because I thought
- 56:21the same thing I was like what? what is happening
- 56:23here that all of a sudden there's a rat problem?
- 56:28There's not like a definitive. It seems to have
- 56:30started somewhere around 2020. And from what
- 56:34I could tell, the closest guess would be like,
- 56:37well, there's a bunch of development. on account
- 56:40of the migration, the 2020 migration, where now
- 56:43there's a lot of development, where it was previously
- 56:47agriculture land, and now there's subdivisions,
- 56:50and maybe some Norway rats, like these non -native
- 56:54rats got on, a small population came in a pod,
- 57:00or a U -Haul or whatever, and then established,
- 57:03and then it takes... a few years for it to become
- 57:05noticeable as the breeding exponentializes or
- 57:08whatever. And but all of this obviously is speculation.
- 57:12But yeah, there seems to be there were like no
- 57:14rat calls ever. And then it was like, oh, and
- 57:17then there was a few last year. Another was like
- 57:1980 this year. And there just seemed to be rats
- 57:21everywhere where there weren't before. I don't
- 57:25know. It's sort of a confusing story. Curiouser
- 57:29and curiouser. Well, we'll hear more about it,
- 57:31I'm sure, if it continues to be a problem. Yeah,
- 57:34it will be a problem quickly if it's I mean rats
- 57:38doesn't tend to be a slow problem Well, you did
- 57:42hear at the top there that there's a quarter
- 57:44million bucks coming from Health entities is
- 57:48putting up a quarter million dollars to battle
- 57:50a growing infestation of rats as George Prentice
- 57:53report No, no, I heard it. I heard it as always
- 57:55the solution is more money and a government agency
- 57:59slash committee slash Whatever the hell And that
- 58:03whatever program that they build, it will be
- 58:06there forever now. It'll be permanent. It doesn't
- 58:09matter. It's a temporary program. It'll be there
- 58:11forever. And I guarantee you this, too. They
- 58:13won't ever get rid of the rats. They might make
- 58:16a dent. They probably won't. And now you have
- 58:19job security for however many more bureaucrats
- 58:22in another government program that only starts
- 58:25at a quarter of a million dollars. I'm actually
- 58:27shocked it's that small. Shocked well if you
- 58:30hear what that's as George Prentice reports a
- 58:33growing number of Idahoans say it's nowhere near
- 58:35enough It's nowhere near enough It never is so
- 58:39there you go that doesn't matter what the problem
- 58:41is the solution is more money and power for government
- 58:45and In no way will the apparatus that forms around
- 58:49the solving of this problem be incentivized to
- 58:51grow the problem Nope doesn't work like that
- 58:53never never ever be enough That's more soundboard
- 58:59material there take my money. Yeah, really. Okay.
- 59:02Well speaking of that there said we always seem
- 59:03to be transitioning into the Into the mid show
- 59:06because it's like something about money and there's
- 59:08the money the money's been confiscated. We're
- 59:10spending the money We there's not enough money.
- 59:12Well, hey, it's not our fault man. Don't hate
- 59:14the players hate the game It's just because the
- 59:17state is a greedy bastard and all it does is
- 59:19extort and take and kill and steal and and up
- 59:23and money well Speaking of not enough money,
- 59:27this program is a value for value show. We've
- 59:32taken the vow of poverty by being a value for
- 59:36value proposition. No ID. This podcast is a value
- 59:39for value podcast. And it means that you're never
- 59:42going to hear, you know, sponsors or advertisers
- 59:45on this show like, you know, Yelp or whatever.
- 59:49If you go to our website, you're never going
- 59:51to have a pop up that's like, hey, how did we
- 59:53do customer? It's not going to be like that.
- 59:56It's all just going to be based on we don't really
- 59:58want to know. And we don't. That's true. You
- 1:00:00know, just accolades only. You know, if it's
- 1:00:03a one star, just keep it yourself. Did you ever
- 1:00:05have, by the way, both of us come from the the
- 1:00:08retail hospitality backgrounds? We ran a brick
- 1:00:10and mortar establishment where people voluntarily
- 1:00:13spent their time and their money. Did you ever
- 1:00:15have the ridiculous one star reviews that was
- 1:00:18based that like told you more about the person?
- 1:00:21Because it was like, you know, twenty five star
- 1:00:23reviews and there's one one star review and someone's
- 1:00:25like, I asked for ice for my water and the guy
- 1:00:29only gave me two cubes, one star like shit like
- 1:00:31that. In the in my entire career for the racketeer,
- 1:00:37anyways, it was a 12 year career bulldog in the
- 1:00:39racketeer, but I'm going to just count the racketeer
- 1:00:41because that was cigar lodges that towards the
- 1:00:43end. Yep. So twenty twenty one, twenty two, twenty
- 1:00:45three, twenty four, twenty five. We ended up
- 1:00:47racking up over two hundred some odd reviews,
- 1:00:49I think. And I had two that were one star. I
- 1:00:54don't know, one, I think that was one star. One
- 1:00:57or two that were two stars, two that were four
- 1:01:00stars, and everything else that was five star.
- 1:01:04We actually had a stellar, stellar record. But
- 1:01:08to your point, all three of the ones that were
- 1:01:14basically less than four stars, were exactly
- 1:01:17what you're describing. One of them was guys
- 1:01:21who came in and they, my employee was in the
- 1:01:24restroom and they came in, saw that there were
- 1:01:27like 12 customers having a great time and didn't
- 1:01:29stay long enough to let my employee come out
- 1:01:31of the restroom and like serve them. They left
- 1:01:34in a huff. and then left and then left a review
- 1:01:36about it and we're like oh you know we we got
- 1:01:39a tour of the whole place and still couldn't
- 1:01:41find anybody manning the store and man it's you
- 1:01:43know awfully trusting of people and yada yada
- 1:01:46so you know i wrote a response was like hey the
- 1:01:48uh you know the 12 other happy customers there
- 1:01:50didn't give it away that somebody was somebody
- 1:01:54was staffing the place and oh by the way we had
- 1:01:56two bathrooms and if you toured the whole place
- 1:01:58like you say you would have noticed one of the
- 1:01:59bathrooms had somebody in it and deductive reasoning
- 1:02:01would have you know You could have figured that
- 1:02:04one out. And then my other favorite one was a
- 1:02:07gal who read us the riot act for not being generic
- 1:02:11enough. Her two biggest complaints were that
- 1:02:14we were busy, we were full and popular on a Friday
- 1:02:18night, and that we didn't serve Guinness or any
- 1:02:22of the other generic beers. In fact, and I quote,
- 1:02:24and the reviews are still there. You can Google
- 1:02:26the racketeer and you'll find it. And I quote,
- 1:02:31They served too many local beers that I'd never
- 1:02:35heard of. Why can't you serve stuff like Guinness?
- 1:02:38Drink macro. Yeah. And then they compared us
- 1:02:43to Legends of Fire at Quest, which is the definition
- 1:02:46of a generic touristy cigar lounge where they,
- 1:02:49everything, all the products there are generic
- 1:02:51and shitty, but that's what she liked. And we
- 1:02:53didn't do that. So that was one of my favorites.
- 1:02:56It's too bad generic and shitty would be not
- 1:02:59a terrible show title, but we already used shitty
- 1:03:01last week So it's not in the running, but I like
- 1:03:03generic and shitty It's funny that you say not
- 1:03:08didn't have Guinness because I remember we the
- 1:03:10the same story where we just had you know loads
- 1:03:12of of great reviews over the years and there
- 1:03:14were a handful of these One stars from which
- 1:03:18again just told you more about the person writing
- 1:03:20it than it did about the establishment And the
- 1:03:23the standouts were one probably the most memorable
- 1:03:26was the lady who was like, yeah, one star, like
- 1:03:28I came in, we were at a craft beer bar at 21,
- 1:03:32rotating taps. That's how we build ourselves
- 1:03:34and that's what we were. And the lady was like,
- 1:03:37I came in, I had a terrific experience, great
- 1:03:40atmosphere, great ambiance, super helpful staff,
- 1:03:43tried the best cider I'd ever had in my life,
- 1:03:45brought my boyfriend back the next week so he
- 1:03:47could try it and it wasn't on tap anymore, one
- 1:03:50star. No way. Yeah, absolutely. And like you
- 1:03:53said, these are all still there. You can just
- 1:03:55go Google it. The hop grenade in Northern California.
- 1:03:57Fantastic. Yep. Uh, so actually I couldn't help
- 1:03:59myself. I Googled the racketeer lounge. We have
- 1:04:02178 Google reviews. Almost all of them are from
- 1:04:04when I was running the show and we have 4 .9.
- 1:04:09That's almost in the world we live in. That's
- 1:04:11almost physically impossible, right? And we did
- 1:04:14it. Yep. Yeah, but you know, you get the idea.
- 1:04:17I'm sure you guys were right up there, too. But
- 1:04:19yeah, you know, best experience ever. One star
- 1:04:22because they rotated the taps like they say they
- 1:04:25do every week. Yeah. Yep. That was the review.
- 1:04:29One star. And I remember the first part of it
- 1:04:32was like complimenting everything about the establishment.
- 1:04:34So not three stars. I mean, one star. OK. In
- 1:04:39any case, value for value. is basically what
- 1:04:42we're describing our establishments as having
- 1:04:43done, providing a valuable experience with premium
- 1:04:47tobacco or craft beer and the places to hang
- 1:04:50out and consume and enjoy those products. And
- 1:04:52then the value contributed back by the people
- 1:04:55who voluntarily patronized our establishments.
- 1:04:59It's sort of that model, which is if you find
- 1:05:02this place to be valuable, you want to go hang
- 1:05:04out there and then you kick value back. for the
- 1:05:07value you're consuming. Now obviously there's
- 1:05:08more structure to the retail establishments because
- 1:05:10they're set prices. This place is just as voluntary,
- 1:05:16this podcast, this value for value podcast, just
- 1:05:19as voluntary but less structured. It's just a
- 1:05:22straight up free market model which is that if
- 1:05:24you find value in our product that we try to
- 1:05:26make valuable every week, every Thursday, that
- 1:05:29you kick value back to us. you gotta contribute
- 1:05:32value to the things that you want to stick around.
- 1:05:34If you want them to continue, value is needed.
- 1:05:38And value can be many forms, specifically time,
- 1:05:41talent, or treasure. And you know, ratings, speaking
- 1:05:43as long as we're on ratings and reviews, there
- 1:05:46is value there. That's something that I never
- 1:05:48say, mostly because I'm not really sure if it's
- 1:05:50actually that valuable, but I keep being told
- 1:05:52that it is. So contributing back value with time
- 1:05:55looks like leaving a review, rating or leaving
- 1:05:59a review or both. on whatever platform you're
- 1:06:01consuming this show on so you know it's it's
- 1:06:04a pretty pretty small time investment um you
- 1:06:10know if you're gonna leave a one star try and
- 1:06:11be a little bit more compelling with why we suck
- 1:06:13than what we just described um and if you'd like
- 1:06:16to leave more than one star we would greatly
- 1:06:19appreciate it uh rating and reviewing is a spot
- 1:06:22somewhere where you can even give us stars i
- 1:06:25don't even know where it's at But more power
- 1:06:27to you, I guess. I think if it's YouTube, go
- 1:06:29ahead and, you know, give us a thumbs up or a
- 1:06:31subscription, a subscribe or whatever. If it's
- 1:06:33on Facebook, I think it's also just a thumbs
- 1:06:35up or a follow. Well, all of the all of the the
- 1:06:39listening platforms for the audio Spotify, Apple
- 1:06:42podcasts, all of the podcast, all the podcasting
- 1:06:442 .0 apps, Podverse and, you know, yeah, they
- 1:06:48all have tells you what I know about the. about
- 1:06:50the space. Sorry. Yeah, Paul knows as much about
- 1:06:53podcast apps as he does about outlook alert settings.
- 1:06:57I also know as much about all of those things
- 1:06:59as I do about apparently, Anthony Fauci's heritage.
- 1:07:03Oh, yeah. Okay, before we continue on with value
- 1:07:06for value, and then we'll get to second. We've
- 1:07:08got some Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Why not? We'll do
- 1:07:12it right now. Speaking of value, since we value
- 1:07:15your listenership and we value the truth and
- 1:07:18honesty and well, I guess Paul's got prison.
- 1:07:23Paul's got some humble pie to eat or some crow
- 1:07:25to scarf down or something here. All right. Here,
- 1:07:29I'll let you set it up, Scott. Will and I'll
- 1:07:32set it up by saying that I a couple I heard feedback
- 1:07:35from two different people one Directly and one
- 1:07:37indirectly about a particular moment from last
- 1:07:40episode episode 41 where we were discussing His
- 1:07:44Royal Highness Lord Anthony Fauci who you know
- 1:07:48after on the he was whatever the congressional
- 1:07:50hearings and stuff So that had come up and there
- 1:07:51was a throwaway line that Paul delivered that
- 1:07:54I just Sort of laughed off and we moved right
- 1:07:56on and I had a couple different people go like
- 1:07:58what did Paul mean by that? and I gave a couple
- 1:08:02different theories of what I thought you meant
- 1:08:04by it, and then when we were discussing it today
- 1:08:06before the show, both of my theories were incorrect
- 1:08:09and the truth was much simpler. Let me just say
- 1:08:11that contributing back time with feedback about
- 1:08:15what you're hearing, whether you're sending us
- 1:08:18notes, talking about it with us, texting us,
- 1:08:20et cetera, sending us articles. Got lots of those
- 1:08:22this week. You know, the statement by Mayor Westland,
- 1:08:26all that. All of those are value returned in
- 1:08:28the time category. And I appreciate it. But here
- 1:08:31is the moment from Episode 41 in question. You
- 1:08:33know, he's going to end up being Professor Emeritus
- 1:08:35at fucking Berkeley or something. They're going
- 1:08:38to give him half the universities on the planet
- 1:08:41will all give him an honorary degree and call
- 1:08:43him a hero. And he's he's going to do fine. platinum
- 1:08:46parachute for a guy like that and if all else
- 1:08:48fails you can always move back to the motherland
- 1:08:50of israel and he'll be fine so i asked paul i
- 1:08:54said what i think i know what you meant by that
- 1:08:57but like i don't know i got asked by a couple
- 1:08:58people what you meant And you said, yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:04And the answer as usual tends to be the most
- 1:09:07simple, but also the most absurd, you know, Scott's
- 1:09:10got a couple of different theories and they're
- 1:09:11all right. They're all wrong for the right reasons
- 1:09:14or right for the wrong reasons. It turns out
- 1:09:15I'm just, I'm just a putz this whole time. It's
- 1:09:19so embarrassing. It's proof that, you know, I'm,
- 1:09:23I'm spot on most of the damn time, but there
- 1:09:25are times when I just swing in a miss so hard,
- 1:09:29so hard. and this is one of those times where,
- 1:09:33you know, that like the baseball poem of mighty
- 1:09:37Casey, mighty Casey struck out. I thought this
- 1:09:42whole time, I thought Fauci was Jewish. Yeah,
- 1:09:46I thought he was Jewish. So the comment was kind
- 1:09:51of a throwaway comment, but for a totally different
- 1:09:53reason because it was, because Israel, the state,
- 1:09:57the nation, the state of Israel, Led the charge
- 1:10:00on being one of the most if not the most authoritative
- 1:10:05and authoritarian Countries on planet earth during
- 1:10:08the kovat years They they were all about the
- 1:10:12vax passports the the shutdowns the walls the
- 1:10:16triple masking the quintuple vaccine You know
- 1:10:20and the whole thing of course was massively and
- 1:10:22sickly grossly ironic for a for a nation that
- 1:10:26was born out of the Holocaust to be the nation
- 1:10:30in the world that was known for basically show
- 1:10:32us the papers during COVID. And so, you know,
- 1:10:36me operating under the premise that Fauci was
- 1:10:39Jewish. I think that's why I said what I said
- 1:10:41is like, yeah, you know, so if all else fails,
- 1:10:43he'll be able to go back to his motherland, Israel,
- 1:10:46and they'll hail him as a hero and he'll be set
- 1:10:47for life and he'll be fine. That's what that
- 1:10:50was all about. Furthermore, just for context,
- 1:10:53and Scott knows this, but you know, we discussed
- 1:10:56it before the show is like, I am not one of those
- 1:11:00guys who is like anti Semitic for the sake of
- 1:11:03being anti Semitic. There's a lot of folks that
- 1:11:06in North Idaho, there are definitely some folks
- 1:11:07who can fit that bill and they hold the worldview
- 1:11:10that I will make fun of all day. We're like,
- 1:11:13the Jews control the world. They control everything.
- 1:11:16But at the same time, the Jews are somehow an
- 1:11:18inferior race. Yeah, that's not me. And I also
- 1:11:23don't think the Jews are the reason everything
- 1:11:25sucks or that they control the world. However,
- 1:11:26if you do a little bit of research, you'll see
- 1:11:28that the people who wear the tiny hats do have
- 1:11:30their hands on a lot of things. There's a lot
- 1:11:33of money. There's a lot of power. There's a lot
- 1:11:34of influence. I mean, you know, in the media
- 1:11:36industries alone, there's a fuck ton of goldsmiths
- 1:11:39and goldbergs and whatever else, whatever have
- 1:11:42you. You know, I'm a noticer. You have to be
- 1:11:46to be on a podcast like this. And and there you
- 1:11:50go. So I'm operating under the, I was operating
- 1:11:53under the false premise. Like this whole time
- 1:11:54I thought, yeah, Anthony Fauci was, was of Jewish
- 1:11:57lineage. So Israel made sense. But I don't think,
- 1:12:01I don't think the Jews are why COVID was, you
- 1:12:04know, I'd like, I don't think the Jews ushered
- 1:12:06in COVID to destroy us all. You know, that's,
- 1:12:09that's not the narrative. Well, then there's
- 1:12:12a reverse logic that goes on with that premise,
- 1:12:15where you look at any given fill in the blank,
- 1:12:17and it's like, well, look, see, that guy's a
- 1:12:19Jew, that guy's a Jew, and that woman's a Jew.
- 1:12:21And it's like, yeah, but what about those other
- 1:12:23four people also, not Jews? Like, you're just
- 1:12:26pointing out the Jews and saying they're Jews.
- 1:12:28Well, they're disproportionately, yeah, no, Jews
- 1:12:30are disproportionately represented in a lot of
- 1:12:33areas of influence, the things you agree with
- 1:12:35and the things you don't agree with, because
- 1:12:36Jews are a tiny population. It's definitional
- 1:12:39well and ultimately I am gonna call a spade a
- 1:12:41spade and I am I play the humor angle because
- 1:12:44you know you got to laugh about these things
- 1:12:46and I'm a big believer and there's pretty with
- 1:12:50a few major exceptions or like Like heinous exceptions.
- 1:12:54I guess I should say there's really no holds
- 1:12:56barred so Everybody gets a poke in the eye, whether
- 1:12:59that's the Jews, the Italians, otherwise known
- 1:13:01as the WAPs, or whether that's statists, or whether
- 1:13:04that's conservatives who don't think they're
- 1:13:06statists, but they are. I mean, everybody gets
- 1:13:08a piece, that's for sure. Including myself at
- 1:13:10times, because I also can be very self -deprecating
- 1:13:13about being a wild -eyed anarchist libertarian,
- 1:13:15because you gotta laugh about that too. Nobody's
- 1:13:17safe. Well, yeah, well, nobody's safe because
- 1:13:20influence peddlers and assholes and tyrants and
- 1:13:23authoritarians and etc. come in all shapes and
- 1:13:26sizes. Because it's humanity, man. It's humanity
- 1:13:29that's the problem. So like like the post fall
- 1:13:32city government or any other taxing entity, how
- 1:13:36are the people that are tasked to solve the problem
- 1:13:38going to solve the problem when they are the
- 1:13:39problem? When they are the problem. What a great
- 1:13:43question, Scott. Thank you. So anyways, to the
- 1:13:46on the value for value point, I'm circling it
- 1:13:49back around for you all. We do appreciate all
- 1:13:51of the feedback. We see it all. We try to respond
- 1:13:54and react to all of it in some way, shape or
- 1:13:56form. I appreciate the questions that got asked
- 1:13:58and hopefully that clears it up. It was, you
- 1:14:02know, it was pretty simple. Yes, the definitive
- 1:14:04much simpler than worth clearing it up. Yeah,
- 1:14:06it's pretty funny. Like the like when I asked,
- 1:14:09you know, Paul off there before the show, like,
- 1:14:12you know, well, you know, what's that? And Paul
- 1:14:13was very is like, what? He was confused by the
- 1:14:15question. What do you mean? Like, yeah. And it's
- 1:14:19like, what? Oh, oh, oh, I see. I see the problem
- 1:14:23here. And then we. Yeah. Fauci's a Catholic,
- 1:14:27just for the record. So dumb on my part. Of course,
- 1:14:30he's not a Catholic at all. He's a status reptile
- 1:14:33is what he is. Give me a break. He's what we
- 1:14:36would call an East Coast Catholic. You know,
- 1:14:38there's trad Catholics and there's East Coast
- 1:14:40Catholics. The trad Catholics are the people
- 1:14:44I definitely respect a lot more. Still disagree
- 1:14:46on a number of things, but I have a lot of friends
- 1:14:48in the trad Catholic community for good reason.
- 1:14:50They fight hard, they work hard, they smoke hard,
- 1:14:52they drink hard. You know, they're not going
- 1:14:54to steal from you. I like there's a lot of reasons
- 1:14:57to like them. But the East Coast Catholics, there's
- 1:14:58a lot of reasons to dislike them. You know, and
- 1:15:02as long as we'll go, we'll finish up here with
- 1:15:04value for value. I did want to just read this
- 1:15:06because I saw it. I don't know whose quote it
- 1:15:08is or who wrote it, but it's terrific. As long
- 1:15:10as we're on St. Fauci and the state of Israel
- 1:15:15or a lot of other states that were, you know,
- 1:15:18the vaccine passports and like, oh, well, you
- 1:15:21need to get the jab or else the protected need
- 1:15:24to be protected from the unprotected by forcing
- 1:15:27the unprotected to use the protection that didn't
- 1:15:29protect the protected see do you see it all makes
- 1:15:33perfect sense now hold still citizen if you don't
- 1:15:35why are you squirming yes yeah make sense if
- 1:15:38you don't think about it okay uh to finish up
- 1:15:41time talents show us your max card or else or
- 1:15:44else Yes, so that's it. That's the model. Contribute
- 1:15:51back to our program, please, if you find it valuable
- 1:15:53with your time, your talent, or your treasure.
- 1:15:55NoIDShow .com is where to go to do all of that.
- 1:15:57And we do not have any executive producers this
- 1:16:00week. And that is the treasure portion of Time,
- 1:16:02Talent, Treasure. Value means many different
- 1:16:05things to many different people. So that could,
- 1:16:07you know, a dollar could be a lot to you. Ten
- 1:16:09thousand dollars could mean nothing or anything
- 1:16:11in between. So I have to admit, it's a little
- 1:16:13disappointing that we have no executive producers
- 1:16:15this week. So just try and keep that in mind
- 1:16:18and please support us if you find our work to
- 1:16:20be valuable, support the things that you like
- 1:16:22so that they stick around. That's pretty good
- 1:16:24streak, though. We had a pretty good streak.
- 1:16:26We had a really good streak. It's been a while
- 1:16:28since we since we were dry on that side of things.
- 1:16:31But hey, yeah, no worries. We still appreciate
- 1:16:33everybody listening. Thank you, guys. Please
- 1:16:36remember us at no ID show .com. The value for
- 1:16:38value model for the win. And then we'll do second
- 1:16:42half of show here. Do you have a song? I do.
- 1:16:45I do. And I just I it hit me 30 seconds ago of
- 1:16:49what the perfect. Don't play like Havana or something.
- 1:16:56I hope you guys love it as much as Scott's gonna
- 1:16:58hate it. Diddle, diddle, diddle, diddle, man.
- 1:17:30I'd build a big tall house where the roof's quite
- 1:17:35a dozen, right in the middle of the town. A fine
- 1:17:40tin roof where the real one floors below. There
- 1:17:46would be one long staircase just going up, and
- 1:17:50one ever longer coming down, and one more leading
- 1:17:55nowhere just for show. If I were a rich man,
- 1:18:04yabba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba dibba
- 1:18:06dum, all day long I'd bitty bitty bum, if I were
- 1:18:12a wealthy man. I see my wife, my goldie, looking
- 1:18:36like a rich man's wife with a proper double chin.
- 1:18:41Supervising appeals to her heart's delight. I
- 1:18:47see her putting on airs and strutting like a
- 1:18:51peacock. Oh, what a happy mood she's in. Screaming
- 1:18:56at her servants day and night. The most important
- 1:19:05man in town will come to pardon me. They will
- 1:19:09ask me to advise them, like Solomon the Wise.
- 1:19:17If you please, Reptavia, pardon me, Reptavia.
- 1:19:25Posing problems that would cross their revised
- 1:19:29eyes. And it won't make one bit of difference
- 1:19:45if I answer right or wrong. When you're rich,
- 1:19:51they think you really know. If I were a rich
- 1:19:58man... If I were a wealthy man... You wouldn't
- 1:20:12have to work hard Lord who made the lion and
- 1:20:20the lamb You decreed I should be what I am Would
- 1:20:25it spoil some vast eternal plan? If I were a
- 1:20:33whale You know, I'm reminded of a few weeks ago
- 1:20:47when Paul was like, hey, man, I'm doing some
- 1:20:51reconciliation on the spreadsheet. Are you going
- 1:20:53to deposit the last few weeks of listener donation
- 1:20:57of a producer donations or are you just going
- 1:21:02to hoard them or are you going to put them in
- 1:21:04the bank? And to which I responded, my people
- 1:21:07own the banks. I'm hoarding it either way. Yeah,
- 1:21:11it's pretty good. OK, second half of show. All
- 1:21:18right, I'm ashamed to say I don't have anything
- 1:21:22for you this week. I went down a couple of rabbit
- 1:21:25trails and I didn't like where any of them went
- 1:21:28because they weren't interesting. I thought they
- 1:21:29were going to be and they weren't. So my Scots
- 1:21:33shots flamed out this week, but I'll be back
- 1:21:36next week. I will find something. I promise.
- 1:21:40But I went down three three different paths on
- 1:21:43the kovat stuff and all of it was not because
- 1:21:45not because it did not support What I was thinking
- 1:21:49or anything like that, but it all just turned
- 1:21:51out to be so humdrum and lame that I just went
- 1:21:54well You know what then let's just move on to
- 1:22:01I got some good stuff on the as long as we're
- 1:22:03on Okay, they will skip the hey what happened
- 1:22:05during the kovat stuff and we'll go to this week's
- 1:22:09mainstream media. Here's how to think about health
- 1:22:12stuff. Idaho health officials are reporting the
- 1:22:15first human case of West Nile virus season. It's
- 1:22:19in southern Idaho and the Department of Health
- 1:22:21and Welfare says a Canyon County resident over
- 1:22:2465 years old developed West Nile meningitis and
- 1:22:27was hospitalized. Over 65 years old? They say
- 1:22:30Canyon? West Nile meningitis and was hospitalized.
- 1:22:34The Department of Health and Welfare says a Canyon
- 1:22:37County resident over... Canyon County. Canyon?
- 1:22:40Oh, Canyon County. No wonder. Oh, man. I was
- 1:22:45just thinking, what bad luck. Like, you're from
- 1:22:47Kenya, you immigrate over here, and you still
- 1:22:50get West Nile virus? Any resident over 65 years
- 1:22:55old developed West now over six years, so they
- 1:22:57could have been a hundred and seventy four Just
- 1:22:59we just know that they're over 65 a resident
- 1:23:01over 65 years old developed West now meningitis
- 1:23:04and was hospitalized Officials say older adults
- 1:23:07and people with a weakened immune systems face
- 1:23:10a higher risk of from absolutely everything in
- 1:23:15life I Was just gonna say that but then my next
- 1:23:18question my follow -up question then is are they
- 1:23:20gonna make him die all alone in quarantine, like
- 1:23:25they did so many others a few years back for
- 1:23:27other reasons. Yes. That also puts you at higher
- 1:23:31risk if you were older. Your family can watch
- 1:23:34you through the window, but only if they're double
- 1:23:37masked. They're not even. No, that's too close.
- 1:23:40They have to watch you through a live feed. Oh,
- 1:23:43yes. On the Internet. I don't know, man. Are
- 1:23:44you sure you can't get it through a fiber optic
- 1:23:47cable? I hear a lot goes through this a lot of
- 1:23:49transmission. This isn't an episode. This isn't
- 1:23:53a what was that movie VHS? Is that what it was
- 1:23:56called or the one where she comes with the TV?
- 1:23:59One of the horror films were like the chick comes
- 1:24:02to the TV poltergeist I Don't know any of them
- 1:24:06the ring I don't watch because I don't watch
- 1:24:08that genre now that might have been it right
- 1:24:10There's like three or four of them. Oh, I think
- 1:24:11it was the franchise of the ring Yeah, we're
- 1:24:14like if you watch the tape you die like a couple
- 1:24:16weeks later. Yeah, the ring. Yeah that But anyways,
- 1:24:19the point is this poor Kenyan man is sick and
- 1:24:23hopefully they're not going to make him die alone.
- 1:24:27Officials say older adults and people with weakened
- 1:24:30immune systems face a higher risk of severe illness.
- 1:24:34They're urging people to use insect repellent
- 1:24:36protective clothing and dump any standing water
- 1:24:39around their home. Thank you. They always end
- 1:24:41with the the practical advice from the official
- 1:24:43experts. So that's a very deeply appreciated
- 1:24:46KREM Channel 2. The experts say re -landscaping
- 1:24:51your lawn should take care of this problem. But
- 1:24:54you're over 65, so don't throw out your back.
- 1:24:58Because what you don't know about re -landscaping
- 1:25:00your lawn could hurt your back. I have a quick
- 1:25:05story about the ring. the movie and that movie
- 1:25:09came out some I think 2004 or five and my girlfriend
- 1:25:13at the time and I watched it and she was into
- 1:25:15horror movies and I never really liked them but
- 1:25:17we watched it like at home like on DVD and you
- 1:25:20know she's scared frightening movie and like
- 1:25:22you said the whole the whole premise was you
- 1:25:25you watch this video and then a couple weeks
- 1:25:27later like you die we went to sleep that night
- 1:25:31and at like four o 'clock in the morning we're
- 1:25:34both sort of startled awake and we hear this
- 1:25:38noise, loud noise coming from the living room.
- 1:25:40It's like, what the hell is that? And like we
- 1:25:46go and I open my bedroom door and I was like
- 1:25:49up on the second floor and I like look down the
- 1:25:52landing like in the living room. And there's
- 1:25:54like the glow of the TV and it's like the TV's
- 1:25:59on. I don't know how it turned on. And it's like
- 1:26:02it's on like a fire and brimstone preacher. Like
- 1:26:06giving a like assertment. I don't even know what
- 1:26:09the hell channel was. This is back in the days
- 1:26:11when I still had like Comcast, you know. So it
- 1:26:13was, I don't know, somewhere deep at the four
- 1:26:14hundreds of fire. I was like, what in the hell?
- 1:26:19We had just watched the ring. So I like went
- 1:26:22downstairs. I'm like looking around like, what
- 1:26:24the hell? I turned the volume all the way down.
- 1:26:28Like, wow. I had no explanation. I turned the
- 1:26:31TV off. I went back upstairs. to this day i have
- 1:26:37no idea how that tv turned on or why it was on
- 1:26:41that channel no explanation and is the day we
- 1:26:44watched the freaking ring but you're still here
- 1:26:48so yeah you got that going for you well my people
- 1:26:52control the media so it doesn't affect me you
- 1:26:54know That's true. You're immune this whole time
- 1:26:57and apparently controls HHS and the CDC the I
- 1:27:01mean like, you know, cuz you're plugged in with
- 1:27:03Fauci and all aren't you? Yes. Well, I know him
- 1:27:07as a immune Fauci Steen, you know from before
- 1:27:10his family changed the name Yeah, yeah Anthony
- 1:27:13Goldsmith Fauci Bergenstein Go back to the homeland
- 1:27:17here is uh oh man the most racist thing i've
- 1:27:23ever said and it was accidental go back to your
- 1:27:25homeland oh it's not even his homeland So speaking
- 1:27:29of non -Jews. The towering evergreen that stands
- 1:27:34in Capitol Square in Washington D .C. to represent
- 1:27:37the people of the United States during Christmas
- 1:27:39time, also called the People's Tree, will be
- 1:27:42harvested in North Idaho this fall. Recently,
- 1:27:46Forest Service officials revealed an 80 -foot
- 1:27:48tall grand fir has been chosen from the Salmon
- 1:27:51River Ranger District. Zach Peterson is a staff
- 1:27:54officer for the Nez Perce Clearwater National
- 1:27:56Forests. He says the tree will be harvested in
- 1:27:58but they can't cut this giant fir down like a
- 1:28:02normal tree. We'll have a crane and the tree
- 1:28:05will get cut at the base and then it will get
- 1:28:08lifted up and then put onto the custom Capitol
- 1:28:11Christmas tree trailer. The exact location of
- 1:28:15the tree will remain secret until a few weeks
- 1:28:17before harvesting time in mid -October. Okay,
- 1:28:20so at the Capitol, at the religious center of...
- 1:28:24the Stateville will be a North Idaho tree, 80
- 1:28:29foot, you know, 200 year old tree that, of course,
- 1:28:33we the citizens, we could never fell a tree like
- 1:28:35that, but you know who can? No, nope. They'd
- 1:28:39never let us touch a tree like that. However,
- 1:28:41that'd be a federal offense. Oh, man. It's good
- 1:28:45to be king. It's good to be king. Because on
- 1:28:47the king's land, you can't hunt the king's deer
- 1:28:50or the king's trees, but they can take yours.
- 1:28:55Yeah, I wonder how much that operation is gonna
- 1:28:57cost as a first thing I think of is how much
- 1:29:00is that gonna cost anything? $50 ,000 tree $75
- 1:29:03,000 tree. I Mean a crane dude in the crane Probably
- 1:29:07a staff of what 12 and then transport costs in
- 1:29:11the truck and then you go and then once you get
- 1:29:12it there You got to get it all set up and I don't
- 1:29:15think they make tree stands Generic tree stands
- 1:29:18that fit such a tree. Yes. Hi Walmart Um, so
- 1:29:22I'm looking for a tree stand and, but it needs
- 1:29:25to be a fairly big circumference. Yeah. Do you
- 1:29:28guys have anything that's like a six feet in
- 1:29:30diameter and can withstand? Oh, I don't know
- 1:29:35about three tons of tree. No. Can I special order
- 1:29:40that? What if I put it on layaway? Can I, Oh,
- 1:29:42Hey, do you guys, uh, do you guys allow a payment
- 1:29:45plans? Cause you know, Idaho's budget's a little
- 1:29:49rough right now. So you know what I'm saying?
- 1:29:51Taxing entities are strapped, you know, hold
- 1:29:54on the crane operator needs to take a two -week
- 1:29:55vacation. I Am curious mid -cut Let's ask the
- 1:30:01robot how much would a 80 -foot pine tree weigh
- 1:30:06approximately Chicken so for an 80 -foot pine
- 1:30:13a typical range for the whole tree is roughly
- 1:30:17three to eight tons It depends. Oh, you did.
- 1:30:20Oh, I was right. It's fur. Sorry. You're right.
- 1:30:22Fur. But that's probably three to eight. Well,
- 1:30:24so there's a huge range. So, yeah, many tons.
- 1:30:27That's true. That's a hell of an operation to
- 1:30:29pull a tree like that. That's crazy. Fur is even
- 1:30:33heavier. Eight thousand to sixteen thousand pounds,
- 1:30:36four to eight tons. So I undersold it. Yeah,
- 1:30:39you did. When I said three tons. Good gravy.
- 1:30:43Dude, I'm telling you, that's a fifty thousand
- 1:30:45dollar tree, if not more. That we cut down and
- 1:30:49set up and sacrifice to the god of government
- 1:30:52all hail the state the state Merry Christmas
- 1:30:57Here is remember that your Christmas could have
- 1:31:00easily been 20 % better if the state hadn't stolen
- 1:31:04all your money and stuff the state From the that's
- 1:31:09the Salmon River that they said they were gonna
- 1:31:10be pulling that from in North, Idaho now on to
- 1:31:13the Spokane River Here's another creme channel
- 1:31:162 presentation about oh my god The river hath
- 1:31:20runneth dry for the second year in a row parts
- 1:31:22of the Spokane River are running dry today creme
- 1:31:24Tuesday Brandon T Jones went to the river to
- 1:31:26talk with experts experts experts about why we
- 1:31:29are seeing this There's no sounds of waves crashing
- 1:31:32against the shore no fish making their way upstream
- 1:31:35instead bone dry conditions in large rocks everywhere
- 1:31:39you look bone dry and it just sends everything
- 1:31:41is dead everywhere i like the rocks everywhere
- 1:31:45you look there's rocks bone dry conditions in
- 1:31:48large rocks everywhere you look and it just sends
- 1:31:52chills of my spine that this is um large rocks
- 1:31:55this is this is awful joel schultz is the spokane
- 1:31:58river keeper Joel Schultz is the Spokane Riverkeeper.
- 1:32:02So these are the experts that the anchor at the
- 1:32:04top was referring to. This guy is please tell
- 1:32:07me that he wears a hat like a wizard hat like
- 1:32:10Gandalf and he has a staff and he goes out there
- 1:32:13at least once a day in the middle of the river
- 1:32:15with a staff like over his head and talks to
- 1:32:19the river. Something just something like that.
- 1:32:23Keeper of the river. You know, what you're describing
- 1:32:26sounds a little bit like Moses parting the Red
- 1:32:28Sea. So I don't know, what are you a Jew? This
- 1:32:34is awful. Go back to your river. This is awful.
- 1:32:39Joel Schultz is the Spokane River keeper. And
- 1:32:41according to the organization, last year was
- 1:32:44the first time in recorded history this section
- 1:32:47of the river ran dry. Now I should mention we're
- 1:32:49here at Barker Road. Notice they don't say when
- 1:32:52they're recorded history. started since records
- 1:32:56keeping began in 2007 or whatever. No, I don't
- 1:33:00know what it is. I tried to sort of track that
- 1:33:01down, but there's too many different start points
- 1:33:03depending on which records you're talking about.
- 1:33:04But listen to how he says it. Last year was the
- 1:33:06first time in recorded history. In recorded history.
- 1:33:11This section of the river ran dry. Now I should
- 1:33:13mention we're here at Barker Roads just upstream
- 1:33:15and just downstream of Sullivan Road. So this
- 1:33:17is really the Spokane Valley that we're looking
- 1:33:19at. And this is the same stretch that went dry
- 1:33:20last year. And speaking of last year. This section
- 1:33:23didn't dry out until August 19th. This time around
- 1:33:26the dry conditions began two weeks earlier. And
- 1:33:29now experts experts are literally trying to find
- 1:33:33the leak. We're studying that with Spokane Community
- 1:33:36College and we're actually looking at how much
- 1:33:38water is leaking out of the bottom of the river,
- 1:33:40seeping into the bottom of the river, because
- 1:33:41that's where the water is going just straight
- 1:33:43through the bed of the river down into our aquifer.
- 1:33:45That's happening at a faster rate. But I thought
- 1:33:49it was. I thought it was climate change and it
- 1:33:52was too hot and too dry. And so that would lead
- 1:33:54to like more evaporation. And also because we
- 1:33:56had so much less snow this year and way less
- 1:33:59runoff and more rain. But now they're telling
- 1:34:02us that it's just that the the river is leaking
- 1:34:06out the bottom. Into the aquifer. They do know
- 1:34:10that goes into the aquifer, right? Well, he's
- 1:34:13yeah. And he said that. So did he? Did he mess
- 1:34:16up his talking? Going just straight through the
- 1:34:18bed of the river down into our aquifer. But that's
- 1:34:20happening at a faster rate. Low flows heading
- 1:34:22into the river have also contributed to the dry
- 1:34:24state of the section. But ultimately, there's
- 1:34:27no confirmed answers right now for why this is
- 1:34:30happening. And this whole ecosystem has just
- 1:34:33been destroyed by this lack of water, right?
- 1:34:35They used to be crayfish and fish and macroinvertebrates
- 1:34:37and it's just the whole ecosystem and that ecosystem
- 1:34:40is now gone. After Labor Day, the flow will improve
- 1:34:43artificially due to drainage from Lake Coeur
- 1:34:45d 'Alene, but until then, things will remain
- 1:34:47dry and the Spokane Riverkeeper We'll keep searching
- 1:34:51for answers. This seems to be telling us something.
- 1:34:55And if we listen, we could probably fix it. From
- 1:34:57Spokane Valley. Well, I thought that was your
- 1:34:59job. You're the river keeper. You listen. Let
- 1:35:02me guess. If we just listen closely. Telling
- 1:35:05us something. And if we listen, we could probably
- 1:35:07fix it. Government needs more money and power.
- 1:35:12Just listen to the river. Listen to how the news
- 1:35:17reader signs off. From Spokane Valley. Brandon
- 1:35:20T. Jones, Crim 2 News. Good Lord. Somebody died.
- 1:35:26You know what? I think we just got to get into
- 1:35:30this kind of vibe here. Listen to the river.
- 1:35:36You think I'm an ignorant savage. Because I don't
- 1:35:40know where the water goes. Must be so. But it's
- 1:35:45dry now. And the ecosystem, it's gone forever.
- 1:35:58It's what they should have played over that clip.
- 1:36:01I did a little digging and I was like, okay,
- 1:36:05the expert, experts, experts, that is the Idaho
- 1:36:09or the Spokane Riverkeeper. Who is that? Because
- 1:36:13of course the mainstream media doesn't tell us
- 1:36:15they just present this expert who's telling us
- 1:36:17how the river is dry the wells run dry Paw came
- 1:36:21down with dysentery and we're all gonna die Spokane
- 1:36:25Riverkeeper found it in 2009 the original structure
- 1:36:29was a a project, it was like a sub program of
- 1:36:33the Center for Justice, which was a Spokane nonprofit
- 1:36:36focused on legal advocacy and social and environmental
- 1:36:40justice. So there's some some good all the buzzwords
- 1:36:43for you in a strangely enough, March of 2020.
- 1:36:48I wonder what happened in that month. That what
- 1:36:51were they doing in the river in March of 2020?
- 1:36:54They weren't allowed to be there. The Spokane
- 1:36:57Riverkeeper became a separate 501c3 nonprofit
- 1:37:01with its own board and staff, and the original
- 1:37:05umbrella organization seems to have folded. So
- 1:37:09that parent organization that is. So it all it
- 1:37:13started from a law firm. We used to call those
- 1:37:18shell companies, Scott. That's what we used to
- 1:37:19call things like that. Shell companies disguised
- 1:37:24as nonprofits. That now it's that the Spokane
- 1:37:27River keeper has it seems like they have around
- 1:37:30I dug into like its form 990 and tried to figure
- 1:37:33out like how many board members where its funding
- 1:37:35is coming from Etc. They seem to have about 500
- 1:37:39K in assets or like in money in the bank They
- 1:37:43have a staff. It seems like about 300 something
- 1:37:46thousand of that goes to salaries for the people
- 1:37:50that like the guy you just heard and the I don't
- 1:37:54know if it's the majority, but it seems like
- 1:37:56somewhere around a couple hundred thousand dollars
- 1:37:59of their annual operations. But the funding comes
- 1:38:03from government grants. Government grants. Yeah,
- 1:38:06that's where all the funding for all that shit
- 1:38:08comes from. If you got rid of federal grants
- 1:38:10overnight, almost all of that, which all of these
- 1:38:13types of things would shrivel up and die. And
- 1:38:15they should. They would never exist in a free
- 1:38:19market where people got to actually spend their
- 1:38:23own money on the stuff they wanted. So that's
- 1:38:26what the official expert that the mainstream
- 1:38:31presents. And they don't mention anything about
- 1:38:33any of this. They just present him as the Spokane
- 1:38:36Riverkeeper. He is the keeper of the river. Just
- 1:38:38this mysterious expert, the Riverkeeper. Yeah,
- 1:38:42yeah. Well, very illustrative of the way things
- 1:38:45work. I thought so. Hold still while we keep
- 1:38:49your river. From all right leaking I guess down
- 1:38:54into the aquifer from whence it came in the first
- 1:38:56place. Yeah, I mean problem solved What are they
- 1:38:59complaining about their vote there everybody
- 1:39:00complains about the aquifer being lower? Well,
- 1:39:03there you go problem solved. Let's see. It turns
- 1:39:05out it's Getting filled up by the Spokane River
- 1:39:08now. Maybe I'm just an ignoramus I thought that
- 1:39:11the I thought that the Spokane River is the aquifer
- 1:39:14It's just a place where the aquifer is high enough
- 1:39:16to be visible. Am I wrong about that? I don't
- 1:39:21know. Okay, let's ask the robot. The Spokane
- 1:39:25River, is that the same thing as the Rathdrum
- 1:39:28Prairie Aquifer? It's just, it's a visible portion
- 1:39:31of it? Oh, is it a big one? No, I don't think
- 1:39:36so, Scott. But I do think there's a way through
- 1:39:38between grassroots movements, new technologies,
- 1:39:41and even that basic quintessential ability that
- 1:39:44all humans have to work together. I have faith
- 1:39:47that we can solve almost any problem. Did you?
- 1:39:50What was that? What? Turn it off, Scott. Ew.
- 1:39:55I don't know, but they're all part of the same
- 1:39:57water system, but I don't think they are the
- 1:40:00same thing, Scott. OK, I guess I have it wrong.
- 1:40:04Well, maybe you should just look it up on the
- 1:40:05regular Internet. Is the Spokane River the same
- 1:40:11thing as the Wrathrim Prairie? Well, this says
- 1:40:17it forms a single highly connected water system,
- 1:40:20duh, we know that, spanning northern Idaho and
- 1:40:23eastern Washington. So yeah, it's part of the
- 1:40:25same water system, we know that. But they are
- 1:40:27two separate parts of the same water system.
- 1:40:32Okay, yeah, so the Spokane River does provide
- 1:40:36a significant portion, over 40 % of the annual
- 1:40:39recharge of the underground aquifer. Okay. All
- 1:40:45right. So I had that wrong. That comes from the
- 1:40:47Coeur d 'Alene River, which is fed by the St.
- 1:40:50Joe River and, excuse me, that comes from the
- 1:40:53Coeur d 'Alene Lake, which is fed by the St.
- 1:40:55Joe River and the Coeur d 'Alene River. Yes.
- 1:40:58And that's runoff, right? That's the mountain
- 1:41:00runoff that's feeding the lake? Lots of it. Yeah.
- 1:41:05Yeah. Okay. Well, there you go. A hydrology lesson
- 1:41:08about the inland Northwest. It's not exclusively,
- 1:41:10but a big portion of it. Yeah. Well, so there
- 1:41:14you go value for value you learned so much in
- 1:41:17the last ten minutes And we just ask that you
- 1:41:20return some value if you find that to be the
- 1:41:22case Let's see, we got one more there has there
- 1:41:27was like a rash of arson stories It seems like
- 1:41:31all of a sudden there's like arsonists starting
- 1:41:32little fires everywhere in the aftermath of these
- 1:41:34big boys Here are two presentations to round
- 1:41:38out here episode number 42 of no ID this these
- 1:41:42are Both also from crem a lot of stuff from crem
- 1:41:45this week Ranchers in southern Idaho are accusing
- 1:41:48firefighters of arson. They say they had just
- 1:41:51gotten done with fighting the fires themselves
- 1:41:53when reports came in of US Wildland Fire Service
- 1:41:56crews lighting fire on private land that they
- 1:41:59had just worked to save. Now the Washington County
- 1:42:02Sheriff Matt Thomas confirmed the firefighters
- 1:42:05were back burning the area and ordered their
- 1:42:08crews to stop. Back burning is a common firefighting
- 1:42:11tactic, one that is meant to eliminate brush
- 1:42:13and fuel in the path of. an ongoing fire. However,
- 1:42:17rancher Kirk Chandler. But it only works if the
- 1:42:20other side of it is on fire. If the other side
- 1:42:23of it is not on fire and you just light a fire.
- 1:42:27All right. Chandler says that he got Chandler
- 1:42:33says that he got fire crews setting fire to his
- 1:42:35neighbor's property, which was four miles away
- 1:42:38from the nearest fire. The next morning to go
- 1:42:41up there and see all of them up there. Those
- 1:42:44same crews lighting fires and burning up what
- 1:42:48you had saved the day before is arson. It's just
- 1:42:53flat arson. The ranchers say they did not agree
- 1:42:56to the back burn and want to see someone else
- 1:42:58held responsible for the damages. The Tartar
- 1:43:01fire burned more than 158 ,000 acres. The fire
- 1:43:05incident command team says it has been working
- 1:43:07closely with local landowners and ranchers and
- 1:43:10said everyone shares the same goal of suppressing
- 1:43:12the fire as apparently not closely enough. Like
- 1:43:17how do you mess that one up? Hey, we're going
- 1:43:20to start a fire. And not tell anyone about it,
- 1:43:26I guess. The fire as safely and quickly as possible.
- 1:43:30So that like, oh, there was a, that was not a
- 1:43:33nap, but it was just, yeah, behind the repeater.
- 1:43:39Here's one more. And this one was up in Coeur
- 1:43:43d 'Alene. Right now, investigators are looking
- 1:43:46into two fires that started within a mile of
- 1:43:48each other in Coeur d 'Alene over the weekend.
- 1:43:49Grip 2's Christian Garza has been in North Idaho
- 1:43:51looking into this case all day. He shares what
- 1:43:54police know so far. All day scorched earth and
- 1:43:57burnt tree trunks. That's all that's left after
- 1:43:59this first fire broke out near North Mineral
- 1:44:02Drive just west of Highway 95 in Coeur d 'Alene.
- 1:44:05But just 20 minutes later, officials got the
- 1:44:07call saying that there was another fire on North
- 1:44:09Wheatfield Drive. Now when they arrived on scene,
- 1:44:11they found one house completely engulfed in flames.
- 1:44:14As you can see, the house is completely destroyed,
- 1:44:17but the flames didn't just destroy that house.
- 1:44:19They also crossed over and destroyed this neighbor's
- 1:44:22house, making it unlivable as well. There was
- 1:44:24a I heard a first like kind of boom and I smelled
- 1:44:27a little bit of smoke. North Wheatfield Drive
- 1:44:30is quiet today after a weekend of sirens. Honestly,
- 1:44:33I think we're just in utter shock. Lisa Tacho
- 1:44:35and her neighbors were awakened Saturday morning
- 1:44:37after a house right across the street from them
- 1:44:40caught fire, leaving one home destroyed and another
- 1:44:43unlivable. Yeah, this is actually our good friends.
- 1:44:46They just got married last Saturday. They moved
- 1:44:49into that home not even two months ago. The couple
- 1:44:51who lives here did not want to go on camera,
- 1:44:53but they tell me that instead of making new memories
- 1:44:55in this space, they now face months of uncertainty.
- 1:44:59But the fire that displaced them isn't the only
- 1:45:01fire that happened in Coeur d 'Alene over the
- 1:45:03weekend. Coeur d 'Alene Police Department says
- 1:45:05another fire started just down the road after
- 1:45:08investigating. Officials say this specific fire
- 1:45:10has been ruled as arson. As for the house fire,
- 1:45:14officials are continuing to investigate how it
- 1:45:16started, but confirmed that they believe the
- 1:45:18circumstances surrounding the incident are suspicious
- 1:45:21in nature. Tetra says the neighborhood is on
- 1:45:23edge given the lack of information at this point,
- 1:45:25but she says she's just glad that no one was
- 1:45:28hurt. Our mindset, you know, like this can be
- 1:45:31replaced. They can find a new home. We're just
- 1:45:35glad that our friends are OK in Coeur d 'Alene
- 1:45:37Christian Garza. Crime 2 news. So I don't know
- 1:45:39if they they spun up. Relax by Frankie Goes to
- 1:45:43Hollywood to activate all of these arsonists,
- 1:45:45but there seem to be a whole hell of a lot of
- 1:45:47them. Are they copycats? Is it a coincidence?
- 1:45:50This is just... I mean, I don't know. It's weird.
- 1:45:58It's weird. But I'm still thinking about the
- 1:46:03firefighters down south who just set new fires.
- 1:46:09What? it's like watching a bunch of retards trying
- 1:46:12to fuck a doorknob out there what do you say
- 1:46:14is arson it's just flat arson it's arson dude
- 1:46:18it's like uh it's like fahrenheit 451 where the
- 1:46:21firemen set the fires yeah yeah good times hey
- 1:46:26why are you setting my uh why are you setting
