California Crazy-LA's Maddening Mayor Race plus Iran & Israel Fire More Missiles at Each Other · The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson

0:00
Speaker 1: Welcome in his vertical Centator Ted Cruz, ben Ferguson with
0:03
Speaker 1: you as well, and Senator we have got a lot
0:05
Speaker 1: of action happening right now in the Middle East. We're
0:07
Speaker 1: going to cover it the best we can because it's
0:10
Speaker 1: changing so quickly.
0:11
Speaker 2: Well we are, But we're gonna start with a very
0:13
Speaker 2: simple question, what in the hell is wrong with California. Look,
0:17
Speaker 2: I gotta say, the Los Angeles mayor race is as
0:21
Speaker 2: bizarre a race as I've ever seen. We're gonna break
0:24
Speaker 2: down the results there. They're gonna shock you, they're gonna
0:26
Speaker 2: piss you off. We're gonna talk about exactly what's going on.
0:29
Speaker 2: We're also going to talk about, as you noted, the
0:32
Speaker 2: Middle East, and in particular, Iran is firing missiles at Israel.
0:35
Speaker 2: Israel is firing missiles at Iran. Things are escalating right now,
0:39
Speaker 2: things are fast moving. We're gonna give you the latest.
0:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, welcome to Democratic Party in twenty twenty six.
0:44
Speaker 1: All right, if you have a puppy or a dog
0:47
Speaker 1: that you love, then you need to know about rough
0:50
Speaker 1: Greens and I want you to try it, just like
0:52
Speaker 1: I did for our new puppy, Birdie for free. Yeah,
0:56
Speaker 1: all you're gonna have to do is pay for shipping. Now,
0:58
Speaker 1: if you don't know about rough greens, let me tell
0:59
Speaker 1: you about them.
1:00
Speaker 3: I tell you.
1:01
Speaker 1: Moving from the puppy years to old age brings in nostalgia.
1:05
Speaker 1: Remember the day you brought your puppy home, the tiny paws,
1:07
Speaker 1: that wagging tail, the spark in their eyes, and man,
1:10
Speaker 1: that energy that just wouldn't quit. Well, they've gotten older.
1:13
Speaker 1: You wonder where that spark went. They're slower pick here
1:16
Speaker 1: at meal time, their stomach often seems off, and you
1:19
Speaker 1: find yourself cleaning up those messes, worrying and quietly thinking,
1:22
Speaker 1: is this just what aging looks like? That's not old age,
1:26
Speaker 1: by the way, that's actually malnutrition. They're missing their probiotics,
1:30
Speaker 1: the enzymes, the omega oils, and the live vitamins and
1:34
Speaker 1: minerals that your dog needs to digest thems or food.
1:37
Speaker 1: When the gut is out of balance, everything's harder for
1:40
Speaker 1: your dog that you love. And that's where rough creens
1:42
Speaker 1: really come in. I've seen it firsthand as our dog
1:45
Speaker 1: got older and we got our dog back that happiness
1:48
Speaker 1: in life, and in fact, rough creams is America's number
1:51
Speaker 1: one dog supplement. You just sprinkle it right over their
1:54
Speaker 1: current food, and it's packed with all the live nutrients
1:57
Speaker 1: they need. It's all natural, made in the US of A.
2:00
Speaker 1: And thousands of dogs are feeling younger, more energetic, and
2:03
Speaker 1: healthier than they have in years. Your dog could be
2:06
Speaker 1: one of them. And I want you to get a
2:07
Speaker 1: free Jumpstart trial bag for your dog today and you'll
2:11
Speaker 1: understand exactly why it's amazing. You just cover the shipping costs,
2:15
Speaker 1: go to roughcreens dot com and all you have to
2:18
Speaker 1: do is use the discount code Verdict. That's areu ff
2:22
Speaker 1: greens dot com discount code verdict Roughcreens. They make any
2:26
Speaker 1: dog better, all right, So I will I have a
2:30
Speaker 1: theory center if we're let's go back to California and
2:33
Speaker 1: start there. I have a theory that when you make
2:36
Speaker 1: so many people miserable, as soon as the saying can get.
2:40
Speaker 3: Out, they get out as fast as they can.
2:43
Speaker 1: If you are a normal person and you're living in
2:45
Speaker 1: a place like La and you watch part of the
2:48
Speaker 1: city burn down, and you see that the fire hydrants
2:50
Speaker 1: aren't working well and the reservoirs don't have the water
2:52
Speaker 1: they need, and then you're dealing with all the crazies
2:55
Speaker 1: there in government.
2:56
Speaker 3: You just leave.
2:57
Speaker 1: So my question is this, did all the same people
3:01
Speaker 1: basically leave La Therefore the only thing you have left
3:04
Speaker 1: is Karen Bass are a communist or a socialist and
3:06
Speaker 1: that's it, because they've destroyed the entire city.
3:10
Speaker 2: Look, there's still a whole lot of people there. A
3:12
Speaker 2: lot of people have left, they are fleeing like crazy,
3:15
Speaker 2: but there are a lot of people still there. Let's
3:18
Speaker 2: do the latest news. It's eleven seventeen pm Sunday night.
3:21
Speaker 2: So as of right now, Karen Bass, the incumbent, is
3:24
Speaker 2: going to the runoff. She has been called. She has
3:28
Speaker 2: received so far two hundred and fifty eight and seventy
3:31
Speaker 2: one votes, which comes up to thirty four point seven percent. Now,
3:37
Speaker 2: the election happened a week ago. Let's start with the
3:39
Speaker 2: fact that these imbeciles can't actually count the votes in
3:43
Speaker 2: an election. We're a week into it and we only
3:45
Speaker 2: have eighty three percent of the votes in. They have
3:47
Speaker 2: another seventeen percent that they haven't counted yet. That is
3:50
Speaker 2: true statewide. We're gonna break that down in a minute.
3:52
Speaker 2: But by the way, Texas, somehow we managed to have
3:55
Speaker 2: elections and no election night or late in the morning
3:59
Speaker 2: the next day the results because we actually count our
4:02
Speaker 2: damn votes. Apparently in California, vote counting keeps going until
4:08
Speaker 2: I guess they get the result they want. I mean,
4:11
Speaker 2: it is messed up. For much of the past week,
4:15
Speaker 2: Karen Bass was in first, and then Spencer Pratt was
4:18
Speaker 2: in second, but in a sizable second. He had a
4:20
Speaker 2: sizable lead. Then suddenly today's vote count dropped and nit
4:26
Speaker 2: Yah Ramen, who is the left wing Marxist, who, by
4:30
Speaker 2: the way, thinks Karen Bass, the communist who piled around
4:34
Speaker 2: with Fidel Castro, is not left wing enough, She has
4:39
Speaker 2: now surged into second place. So as of right now,
4:42
Speaker 2: nit Ya Ramen has one hundred ninety hundred and ninety
4:44
Speaker 2: eight votes, which is twenty seven point one percent, and
4:47
Speaker 2: Spencer Pratt has one hundred and ninety three thousand and
4:50
Speaker 2: eighty five votes, which is twenty six point seven percent.
4:54
Speaker 2: Now what does that mean. Well, I'm gonna tell you.
4:57
Speaker 2: I looked on Klshi right now just to see what
5:00
Speaker 2: the betting odds were on who will be in second place?
5:04
Speaker 2: What do you think the odds are according to Kalshi,
5:06
Speaker 2: that Nitschia Rahman is in second place.
5:08
Speaker 1: I'm going to go like super high throughout a number
5:13
Speaker 1: eighty nine percent higher higher. So basically they're saying it's
5:18
Speaker 1: it's rigged and there's no way a Republican's going to
5:21
Speaker 1: come in second.
5:21
Speaker 3: That's what you're telling me. Keep going nine down one
5:26
Speaker 3: ninety eight percent. Okay, yeah, bingo.
5:29
Speaker 2: It was ninety nine earlier. Today it dropped to ninety eight.
5:33
Speaker 2: Let me ask you, all right before we get into
5:36
Speaker 2: the process questions. All right, So, Karen bass I think
5:42
Speaker 2: has demonstrated she is the most incompetent mayor you could
5:45
Speaker 2: possibly imagine being in charge of a podunk city, much
5:50
Speaker 2: less the second largest city in America. Much of her
5:53
Speaker 2: city burned down.
5:55
Speaker 4: She saw.
5:55
Speaker 2: The most costly natural disaster in American history is the
6:00
Speaker 2: Papecific Palisades Way rage. Mind you, this was after both
6:05
Speaker 2: La and California had little to no fire and mitigation.
6:09
Speaker 2: They allowed, they allowed the overgrowth of brush. They didn't
6:13
Speaker 2: do anything to clear it out because apparently no one's
6:15
Speaker 2: figured out that they're fires in California. This is a
6:17
Speaker 2: really complicated thing for Democrats to figure out. On top
6:22
Speaker 2: of that, they didn't have water, they let the reservoir
6:27
Speaker 2: be empty, the fire hydrants had no water. And you
6:30
Speaker 2: remember we played this on the on the podcast at
6:35
Speaker 2: the time, we did an entire pod on the preventable
6:39
Speaker 2: train wreck that was the LA wildfires, the public policy
6:43
Speaker 2: decisions that made the risks much greater and then made
6:47
Speaker 2: the ability to mitigate it, to stop it, to put
6:49
Speaker 2: it out much much weaker. LA at the time their
6:53
Speaker 2: fire chief and the top two deputies. Okay, this is
6:57
Speaker 2: almost something out of Saturday Night Live, as Saturday Night
6:59
Speaker 2: Live was allowed to be funny anymore. Yeah, the top
7:02
Speaker 2: three officials in the LA Fire Department were all lesbians
7:05
Speaker 2: named Kristin.
7:07
Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it was.
7:09
Speaker 1: It was d I at its best, Like, if you
7:11
Speaker 1: just want to be really honest.
7:14
Speaker 2: Does that doesn't that sound like almost a rejected script
7:17
Speaker 2: for an SNL. Let's have Christen one, Kristen two, and
7:19
Speaker 2: Kristin three. They're all lesbians and and and we played
7:23
Speaker 2: an interview I think it was Kristen two, although to
7:25
Speaker 2: be honest, I can't keep track. Who was an African
7:28
Speaker 2: American woman who was explaining that that that you know,
7:31
Speaker 2: they had as a high priority hiring hiring lots of
7:34
Speaker 2: women and women are great. But but but she said,
7:37
Speaker 2: you know, some of you might be saying, what, well,
7:39
Speaker 2: what I what if that little woman can't carry my
7:42
Speaker 2: husband out of a fire? Yeah, And she says, you
7:45
Speaker 2: know what, when you when you see a firefighter, you
7:48
Speaker 2: want someone who looks like you. That's what you care
7:50
Speaker 2: most about. And if your husband's in a fire, that's
7:53
Speaker 2: his fault. He shouldn't have gotten himself in that position
7:55
Speaker 2: in the first place.
7:57
Speaker 3: Yep.
7:57
Speaker 2: Like it truly was unbelievable. Let me be very clear
8:00
Speaker 2: for the record, if I'm in a fire, I don't
8:04
Speaker 2: care what the firefighter who shows up looks like. Doesn't
8:07
Speaker 2: matter to me at all.
8:08
Speaker 3: I just want you to carry me out.
8:10
Speaker 2: Someone big as hell who can throw my ass over
8:12
Speaker 2: his shoulder and get me out of there.
8:14
Speaker 4: That is.
8:16
Speaker 2: And by the way, you know my mom, My mom
8:19
Speaker 2: is ninety one years old.
8:21
Speaker 3: Yep.
8:21
Speaker 2: My mother lives in a high rise in Houston, and
8:28
Speaker 2: she lives up in the twenty sixth floor. And a
8:29
Speaker 2: couple of years ago, I remember this, the power went
8:34
Speaker 2: out in the building and ended up having it had malfunctions.
8:37
Speaker 2: They shut the building down for a couple of months.
8:39
Speaker 2: But my mom is up on the twenty sixth floor.
8:41
Speaker 2: The power is out. They're evacuating the building, and the
8:44
Speaker 2: elevators aren't working, and my mom uses a walker, So
8:48
Speaker 2: there is no universe in which my mother is making
8:50
Speaker 2: it down twenty six flights of stairs. That is just
8:53
Speaker 2: not something she is capable of doing it at age
8:55
Speaker 2: ninety one. And so Houston firefighters to Houston firefighters carried
9:00
Speaker 2: her down twenty six flights of stairs. Incredible promise you
9:05
Speaker 2: my mother didn't say, Okay, wait, I'm sorry. You guys
9:08
Speaker 2: are both big strapping dudes. No, I don't need that.
9:10
Speaker 2: I need Could you send two ninety year old ladies
9:14
Speaker 2: to carry me down? That's what I'd like. Like this
9:18
Speaker 2: is asinine and at some point, and never mind the
9:23
Speaker 2: out of control crime, never mind the homelessness, never mind
9:26
Speaker 2: Venice Beach, that the homeless camp they're assaulting people, never
9:30
Speaker 2: mind the drug needles and parks, never mind the kids
9:33
Speaker 2: stepping on fentanyl needles. Like watching what has happened to La,
9:38
Speaker 2: It's tragic.
9:39
Speaker 3: Look.
9:40
Speaker 2: I spend a lot of time out out in California
9:42
Speaker 2: because because Heidi's a native California and her whole family
9:45
Speaker 2: are Californians, it's a spectacularly beautiful state. I have a
9:50
Speaker 2: lot of dear friends who live there. When I look around,
9:52
Speaker 2: they've got perfect weather, they've got the Pacific oceans, they've
9:55
Speaker 2: got mountains. I mean, it's breath to taking.
9:57
Speaker 3: It is actually beautiful.
9:59
Speaker 2: And I look around, I'm like, how did they screw
10:02
Speaker 2: this up? Like like it's not and and I.
10:05
Speaker 3: Want to be up by the way it takes effort
10:08
Speaker 3: to screw it up.
10:08
Speaker 1: It's easy to be successful if that's what you're given
10:11
Speaker 1: as your surroundings.
10:12
Speaker 3: You look at it and you go, I love to
10:14
Speaker 3: live here.
10:15
Speaker 1: Like you go to California and you look at California,
10:17
Speaker 1: I don't care if what part of the coast you're
10:20
Speaker 1: up or down.
10:21
Speaker 3: You see it and you're like, this is amazing.
10:23
Speaker 1: The only way you could make people not want to
10:25
Speaker 1: go there is if you have terrible services what you're describing,
10:29
Speaker 1: insanely high taxes what you're describing, and anti business policies,
10:33
Speaker 1: which which.
10:34
Speaker 3: They also have there.
10:35
Speaker 1: And then it forces people to make a tough decision,
10:37
Speaker 1: which is I love the land, I love what I see,
10:41
Speaker 1: but I got to get out of here.
10:42
Speaker 3: I can't afford it.
10:44
Speaker 2: And I want to be clear. Look, I like to
10:45
Speaker 2: talk smack on the whole Texas versus California thing, and
10:48
Speaker 2: that's a fun thing to do. But let me be clear,
10:54
Speaker 2: California destroying itself is tragic for the country. Look, California
10:59
Speaker 2: is our the largest state. California historically has been this
11:02
Speaker 2: economic engine that has created enormous numbers of jobs. It's
11:07
Speaker 2: been really valuable for the American economy. And to watch
11:11
Speaker 2: people like Karen Bass, people like Gavin Newsom just destroy
11:15
Speaker 2: it and destroy it. Newsome with this idiot wealth tax
11:19
Speaker 2: has driven trillions of dollars out of the state. I mean,
11:22
Speaker 2: they're just fleeing like crazy, and listen. I don't know
11:25
Speaker 2: Spencer Pratt never met the guy. I have no idea
11:28
Speaker 2: what his policies were. I will say the videos, the
11:30
Speaker 2: viral videos that his campaign put out. I watched every
11:34
Speaker 2: one of them. I love them. At one point I tweeted,
11:36
Speaker 2: how could you not vote for this guy? Because he's
11:39
Speaker 2: just saying he was not running a right wing campaign,
11:43
Speaker 2: He was not running a conservative campaign. He was like,
11:46
Speaker 2: how about a mayor that will stop your house from
11:48
Speaker 2: burning down, stop criminals from murdering you, stop homeless people
11:52
Speaker 2: from harassing and assaulting your children, and pick up the
11:56
Speaker 2: needles in the park.
12:00
Speaker 1: That's not conservative a liberal, that's just like, can we
12:02
Speaker 1: get the basics right again so that we don't watch
12:05
Speaker 1: the city like continue to go up in flames.
12:08
Speaker 2: And the bizarre thing is is the voter said, okay,
12:13
Speaker 2: So thirty four point seven percent said, hey, this is awesome,
12:17
Speaker 2: we want more of this. Give us an incompetent comedy.
12:20
Speaker 2: You doesn't know how to run a city. And then
12:23
Speaker 2: the second biggest group of people one hundred and nine
12:26
Speaker 2: hundred ninety eight said, you know what, she's not that
12:30
Speaker 2: crap crazy enough. We've got someone that.
12:32
Speaker 3: Is full on vot crazy. Yeah.
12:34
Speaker 2: Turns out incompetent Marxist is not far enough, and so
12:39
Speaker 2: they want full mandami. I guess you know it is.
12:44
Speaker 1: We want everything for free. We don't want to have
12:45
Speaker 1: to work, and we want our we want to be
12:47
Speaker 1: able to have our drugs as well. All right, I
12:49
Speaker 1: want to talk to you for a second about a
12:51
Speaker 1: bill that you have every month. It is your cell
12:54
Speaker 1: phone bill. Well, why not switch it to an incredible
12:58
Speaker 1: company that actually takes a part of your bill every
13:00
Speaker 1: single month and they give it back to conservative causes,
13:04
Speaker 1: candidates and organizations that are fighting for what we believe in.
13:07
Speaker 1: You may not realize that Big Mobile gives massive donations
13:11
Speaker 1: to hardcore liberal causes and organizations, and even organizations that
13:17
Speaker 1: advocate and support abortions. I don't want my money going there,
13:22
Speaker 1: and that is why I switched to Patriot Mobile.
13:25
Speaker 3: Now.
13:25
Speaker 1: So many brands today they claim to stand for American values,
13:29
Speaker 1: but most of the time it's all talk and it's
13:31
Speaker 1: no action. And that's what makes Patriot Mobile so different.
13:35
Speaker 1: For more than twelve years, Patriot Mobile has been living
13:38
Speaker 1: their values and standing in the gap for every American
13:42
Speaker 1: who believes freedom is worth fighting for. Their business was
13:45
Speaker 1: founded on a simple conviction if culture is being shaped
13:49
Speaker 1: through commerce, then you, as Americans, deserve a real conservative alternative. Now,
13:55
Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile is proudly America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.
14:01
Speaker 1: They offer premium priority nationwide service on any of the
14:05
Speaker 1: three major US networks. They have unlimited data plans, international roaming,
14:10
Speaker 1: and one hundred percent US based customer support. And with
14:13
Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile, you can even have two separate networks on
14:17
Speaker 1: one phone, giving you unmatched coverage and peace of mind

14:24
Speaker 1: to Patriotmobile dot com. Slash Verdict and you are going
14:28
Speaker 1: to get a free month of service with a promo
14:31
Speaker 1: code Vertict. Or you can call them nine to seven
14:34
Speaker 1: to two Patriot. That's nine seven to two Patriot nine
14:39
Speaker 1: seven to two Patriot. Or call them and go online
14:43
Speaker 1: at Patriot mobile dot com slash verdict promo code verdict
14:47
Speaker 1: for a free month of service. Make the switch and
14:50
Speaker 1: make a difference every time you pay your bill. I
14:53
Speaker 1: also have to ask you this question, though, and I
14:55
Speaker 1: go back, because I was watching this explode on X
14:58
Speaker 1: You mentioned earlier how long it's taken to get the
15:01
Speaker 1: vote in in a local election. This goes back to
15:06
Speaker 1: twenty sixteen. This goes back to twenty twenty. This goes
15:09
Speaker 1: back to a lot of election issues that a lot
15:12
Speaker 1: of I think same conservatives, non conspiracy theorists.
15:17
Speaker 3: I'm one of them now.
15:18
Speaker 1: I'm like, when you watch him go from second place
15:22
Speaker 1: and drop down to third all of a sudden, and
15:23
Speaker 1: it took a week to count, why would anybody have
15:27
Speaker 1: any faith in that system? Center like that's and look,
15:32
Speaker 1: I think a lot of us post COVID and all
15:35
Speaker 1: the lies that we were told on about COVID, and hey,
15:37
Speaker 1: six feet stop and spread. The list goes on and on,
15:39
Speaker 1: the vaccine, and the list goes on and on. But
15:43
Speaker 1: there's people like me that look at this sho're like,
15:46
Speaker 1: I'm gonna throw up a red flag here and say,
15:48
Speaker 1: if it takes you a week to count the votes,
15:51
Speaker 1: something just doesn't seem right with that. And this is
15:54
Speaker 1: where people genuinely start to have distrust in the election.
15:58
Speaker 1: And then that also means a lot of people then go, well,
16:00
Speaker 1: why do I even vote? It's rigged, right, That's that's
16:02
Speaker 1: what I don't want to happen. But that's what people
16:04
Speaker 1: think is maybe I shouldn't even vote. It's not wasting
16:06
Speaker 1: my time, it's it takes them a week. I don't
16:08
Speaker 1: believe my vote matters or even as counted correctly.
16:11
Speaker 2: Well, and listen, in California, it is illegal for officials
16:15
Speaker 2: to check a photo ID. Yes, so we know that
16:18
Speaker 2: illegal aliens are voting. We know that illegal votes are counted.
16:21
Speaker 2: They also they vote overwhelmingly by mail and and and
16:25
Speaker 2: it's worth reminding everyone that the last major bipartisan study
16:30
Speaker 2: of election integrity that was chaired by former Democrat President
16:33
Speaker 2: Jimmy Carter and chaired by former Republican Secretary of State
16:37
Speaker 2: James Baker. The Carter Baker Commission concluded that voting by
16:40
Speaker 2: mail increases the chances of election fraud, and they also
16:46
Speaker 2: concluded that that ballot harvesting, the ability of paid operatives
16:54
Speaker 2: to collect ballots and then send them in by mail,
16:57
Speaker 2: is the single most dangerous policy because what happens is
17:00
Speaker 2: a collop correct operative can say, go into a nursing
17:03
Speaker 2: home with the ballots of every person there and fill
17:05
Speaker 2: them out. And you can have people are completely senile
17:07
Speaker 2: who are in a coma, they can fill out the
17:09
Speaker 2: ballot and vote for them. They can also see who
17:12
Speaker 2: the person votes for. And let's say someone has a
17:14
Speaker 2: moment of sanity and they vote for someone they don't like.
17:17
Speaker 2: A corrupt operative can just throw that ballot in the trash.
17:20
Speaker 2: So ballot harvesting makes voter fraud much more likely. What
17:24
Speaker 2: does California do allows ballot harvesting? Now, let me say
17:28
Speaker 2: it's the gubernatorial election. We don't know who's going to
17:32
Speaker 2: be in the runoff, it's a week.
17:33
Speaker 5: End to it.
17:35
Speaker 2: So far, they've concluded that Javier Besserra, who is the
17:38
Speaker 2: California Attorney General, who is in the midst of a
17:41
Speaker 2: corruption scandal, who is incompetent who is a far left radical.
17:45
Speaker 2: He's in first place. And then as of Sunday morning,
17:50
Speaker 2: conservative commentator Steve Hilton holds the lead for second place
17:54
Speaker 2: over billionaire Democrat Tom steyerh Hilton was the top choice
17:59
Speaker 2: for twenty six point one percent of voters and Styers
18:01
Speaker 2: for twenty one point three percent of voters. But you
18:04
Speaker 2: know what, given the drop of ballots, who knows, maybe
18:08
Speaker 2: that could flip and in fairly short order you'll see
18:11
Speaker 2: two Democrats. But let me read a story from the
18:14
Speaker 2: San Francisco paper because it asked how many votes are
18:17
Speaker 2: left to be counted, and it says, according to the
18:21
Speaker 2: California Secretary of State's office, there are approximately three million
18:24
Speaker 2: unprocessed votes. As of Saturday evening, over six point three
18:29
Speaker 2: million ballots have been counted. Updated vote totals normally drop
18:35
Speaker 2: in the evenings. Why does California take so long to
18:39
Speaker 2: count votes? The Secretary of State's office explains on its
18:43
Speaker 2: site that there are a few reasons why Californians often
18:45
Speaker 2: wait days or weeks for the full results. Mail end
18:48
Speaker 2: ballots that are received within a week of election day
18:51
Speaker 2: need processing, which means some of the ballots still in
18:53
Speaker 2: the mail system may need counting. Once a ballot is received,
18:56
Speaker 2: the Secretary of State says, quote, election officials must confirm
18:59
Speaker 2: each voter's ready to stration status, verify each voter signature
19:02
Speaker 2: on the vote by mail envelope, and ensure that each
19:05
Speaker 2: person did not vote elsewhere in the same election before
19:08
Speaker 2: the ballot can be counted. That's no small feat for
19:11
Speaker 2: a state as large as California, which has about as
19:14
Speaker 2: residents as the entire population of Canada. Nonetheless, both Republicans
19:18
Speaker 2: and Democrats agree the process should be speedier. On Friday,
19:22
Speaker 2: a spokesperson for Governor Gavin Newsom told the San Francisco
19:25
Speaker 2: paper that Newsom quote wishes the vote count mood faster too. Well, dufous,
19:34
Speaker 2: there is a way to fix it, which is don't
19:38
Speaker 2: let people mail their damn ballot in on election day
19:41
Speaker 2: and mail in ballots, require the ballots be received by
19:45
Speaker 2: election day. Look, we actually have in Texas. We have
19:49
Speaker 2: early voting. We have two weeks of early voting, and
19:53
Speaker 2: much of that, most of that is in person, and
19:56
Speaker 2: it's really quite easy to vote. I usually vote early
19:59
Speaker 2: and you go into the polling place and you can
20:01
Speaker 2: do it there if you vote early. There are almost
20:03
Speaker 2: never any lines. You wait in line maybe five minutes ago,
20:06
Speaker 2: vote and it's quick at easy. You do a paper ballot,
20:07
Speaker 2: they put it in, they count it, and so the
20:09
Speaker 2: early votes. Right now in Texas about two thirds of
20:12
Speaker 2: the votes are cast early, and they're cast early in person.
20:15
Speaker 2: We have limited mail in ballots for people who are seniors,
20:19
Speaker 2: people with disabilities, for military those serving the military. That oversees,
20:24
Speaker 2: so it's a limited number of exceptions. But we managed
20:28
Speaker 2: to get and then the remainder of the ballots are
20:30
Speaker 2: in person on election day, and we don't have people
20:32
Speaker 2: mailing in ballots on election day. You've got to get
20:36
Speaker 2: your ballots in and Texas, let's be clear, California has
20:41
Speaker 2: the highest population of the country, but what's number two. Texas.
20:43
Speaker 2: We managed to get our votes counted, typically by election day,
20:47
Speaker 2: or occasionally, if it's a really close election, it may
20:50
Speaker 2: drag on a day or two. If it's down to
20:52
Speaker 2: like like if it's neck and neck, it could drag
20:54
Speaker 2: on a day or two. But that is the exception
20:57
Speaker 2: rather than the rule. By the way, Florida, same thing.
21:00
Speaker 2: They're there, they have the third highest population. Somehow Florida
21:03
Speaker 2: manages to count their damn ballots and and so listen.
21:07
Speaker 2: I don't know in LA if the looney communists surging
21:12
Speaker 2: ahead of Spencer Pratt is a result of voter fraud
21:16
Speaker 2: or a result of a bunch of voters who just say,
21:20
Speaker 2: you know what, it's so bad, I want it worse.
21:22
Speaker 2: But but like nobody, And let's be clear, this is
21:27
Speaker 2: not just lefty Californians that are like, oh, I love abortion, okay,
21:31
Speaker 2: K five, look the question of choice in life. I
21:34
Speaker 2: have no idea what Spencer Pratt's view is, but I
21:36
Speaker 2: can't believe he's anything but pro choice. No reason to
21:39
Speaker 2: think anything else. It's not about gay rights. I'm not
21:42
Speaker 2: aware of any of view Spencer Pratt has about gay rights.
21:45
Speaker 2: I assume that that that we're two years away from
21:47
Speaker 2: them making it mandatory for every child in the California
21:50
Speaker 2: public schools to be transgender. So like that's the path
21:53
Speaker 2: there on is is Ben? Congratulations your three boys. We're
21:57
Speaker 2: now going to surgically sterilize them, whether they want it
22:01
Speaker 2: or not. They're not quite there yet, but they ain't far.
22:05
Speaker 3: But they're not.
22:06
Speaker 2: Those were not the issues in this race. This was
22:11
Speaker 2: not socially. We're liberal blah blah blah. I don't agree
22:15
Speaker 2: with that, but that's not what this was over. This
22:18
Speaker 2: is people saying, no, I don't want a mayor who
22:23
Speaker 2: can hire a fire department who can put out a
22:25
Speaker 2: damn fire. No, I don't want a mayor who could
22:28
Speaker 2: actually hire police officers who could arrest murderers. No, I
22:32
Speaker 2: don't want a city that stops crackheads from leaving leaving
22:39
Speaker 2: drugs on the streets, from people defecating on the streets,
22:42
Speaker 2: from putting needles on the streets, from threatening our kids.
22:47
Speaker 2: Apparently the people of la are like, Nope, no basic services,
22:51
Speaker 2: not interested in those. I just want you know, it
22:56
Speaker 2: is somewhere between you know, mindcomf and the communist manifesto,
23:01
Speaker 2: and that's what they care about.
23:04
Speaker 1: Final question on this if you do end up having
23:07
Speaker 1: even let's say bass loves and you go to even
23:09
Speaker 1: more extreme kind of it turns Mandani, what does that
23:13
Speaker 1: say about this country that are two of their biggest
23:15
Speaker 1: state cities in the nation have gone this far to
23:19
Speaker 1: the extreme.
23:20
Speaker 3: It's not even the Democratic Party anymore.
23:22
Speaker 1: We're talking about communism and socialism in our biggest cities
23:25
Speaker 1: on the west and East coast.
23:28
Speaker 2: And by the way. To be clear, Karen Bass is
23:30
Speaker 2: already pretty much where Mandannie is. Yeah, like there's not
23:35
Speaker 2: a whole lot of daylight. So this looney leftist who
23:39
Speaker 2: thinks Bass is too conservative, I shudder to think what
23:43
Speaker 2: the hell that means. Like it's getting to the point
23:48
Speaker 2: it's not healthy for a country. And I have to
23:51
Speaker 2: assume that there are a lot of voters in LA
23:55
Speaker 2: who are not paying attention. Look, there are a lot
23:56
Speaker 2: of Republicans in California who are demores, who don't think
24:01
Speaker 2: it matters anymore, who stay home. That is a big factor.
24:06
Speaker 2: I'll tell you, as I said, I'm out in California
24:09
Speaker 2: quite a bit. And when I'm out there, I will
24:11
Speaker 2: have people in LA come up to me and they'll
24:13
Speaker 2: sort of look to the ground and they'll furtively look around,
24:16
Speaker 2: and they'll say, ted, I'm the only conservative in California,
24:22
Speaker 2: And I'll.
24:22
Speaker 3: Tell them, no, no, you're not, you're not.
24:25
Speaker 2: And in fact, do you know what state has the
24:27
Speaker 2: most Republicans in it?
24:29
Speaker 3: California.
24:30
Speaker 2: Yes, there are more Republicans in California than there are
24:33
Speaker 2: in Texas. Now there are even more Democrats. They are outnumbered.
24:38
Speaker 2: But it's almost like when they come up to me.
24:40
Speaker 2: It's like the Christians in the ancient Colosseum, where with
24:43
Speaker 2: the foot they make the shape of a fish in
24:46
Speaker 2: the sand. They are beaten down. And I will say
24:50
Speaker 2: an awful lot of Republicans don't show up because they
24:54
Speaker 2: believe it is hopeless, and unfortunately, that belief too often
24:58
Speaker 2: can become a self fulfilling prophecy.
25:00
Speaker 1: I want to take a quick moment and talk to
25:02
Speaker 1: you about an incredible organization and it is called Compassion International,
25:07
Speaker 1: and how you can get involved. Love, generosity, and compassion.
25:11
Speaker 1: We say those words all the time and they sound good,
25:14
Speaker 1: they feel good, but here's the truth. Those words don't
25:18
Speaker 1: mean anything unless they turn into action, and right now,
25:23
Speaker 1: not later, today, not tomorrow. There's a child in the
25:26
Speaker 1: world who doesn't know if they'll eat, if they'll have
25:30
Speaker 1: a chance to learn, or if there's any hope at all.
25:34
Speaker 1: And while we're all busy, life keeps moving forward, but
25:38
Speaker 1: that child is waiting. This is where you come in.
25:42
Speaker 1: With Compassion International. You have the chance to change a
25:45
Speaker 1: child's future, not just with words, not with promises, but
25:49
Speaker 1: with real help that provides food, education and hope through
25:54
Speaker 1: local churches and people already in their community. Put your
25:59
Speaker 1: words into act and join me introduce a child to
26:03
Speaker 1: a loving heavenly father today at Compassion dot com. That's
26:08
Speaker 1: Compassion dot com. All right, let's timestamp this. It is
26:13
Speaker 1: twelve thirty seven am Eastern time as we're recording right now, center,
26:18
Speaker 1: and so let's talk about what's happening right now in
26:20
Speaker 1: the Middle East.
26:21
Speaker 3: We have had a flare up. I think it's a
26:24
Speaker 3: fair way to put it.
26:25
Speaker 1: Israel involved, Iran involved hitting Terris targets as well in Lebanon.
26:29
Speaker 1: This is turned into a bigger deal. The President trying
26:32
Speaker 1: to still get this deal done with I ran making
26:36
Speaker 1: phone calls apparently to Bib Netanyahu's saying, hey, let's not
26:39
Speaker 1: go too heavy here. Let us see if we can
26:41
Speaker 1: keep this framework together. Trying to keep that seasfire together
26:44
Speaker 1: as well. There's an awful lot happening right now.
26:48
Speaker 2: Well, let's talk about the latest news. And as you noted,
26:51
Speaker 2: it is Sunday night, so things could break by by Monday.
26:56
Speaker 2: By the time this podcast is out, we could have
26:58
Speaker 2: more news breaking. But as of right now, the latest
27:00
Speaker 2: news Axios reported just a few minutes ago, quote the
27:05
Speaker 2: Israeli Air Force conducted strikes on military targets in central
27:08
Speaker 2: and western Iran on Monday morning local time. The Israel
27:11
Speaker 2: Defense Forces said to statement, the strikes in retaliation for
27:14
Speaker 2: an Iranian missile attack against Israel, mark a new phase
27:18
Speaker 2: in a growing escalation that started on Sunday morning. This
27:23
Speaker 2: is the first time Israel has struck Iran since the
27:26
Speaker 2: April eight ceasefire. Further exchanges of fire could unravel the
27:31
Speaker 2: negotiations between the United States and Iran and lead to
27:34
Speaker 2: the resumption of the war. President Trump told Israeli Prime
27:38
Speaker 2: Minister Benjamin Netanyah, who hours before the strikes, not to
27:41
Speaker 2: retaliate after Tehran conducted a retaliatory attack on Israel. A
27:46
Speaker 2: US defense official said the US military was not involved
27:49
Speaker 2: in the Israeli strikes on Iran. The official said the
27:53
Speaker 2: Israeli strikes were relatively limited in their scope, so we
28:00
Speaker 2: have returned to firing missiles. Active hostility between Iran and Israel.
28:06
Speaker 2: Both have fired missiles at each other in the past
28:09
Speaker 2: twenty four hours. That certainly has the potential to escalate.
28:14
Speaker 2: And also Sunday morning, President Trump was on Meet the Press.
28:17
Speaker 2: He was asked about Iran. Here's what President Trump had
28:21
Speaker 2: to say.
28:22
Speaker 4: Their leaders are gone.
28:23
Speaker 5: Do you know where all of Iran's nuclear material is? Yes? Yes,
28:29
Speaker 5: Would you unfreeze any Iranian assets or lift any sanctions
28:33
Speaker 5: up front as a part of any rail so that
28:36
Speaker 5: would come after after if they turned over the material.
28:42
Speaker 4: Unlike Obama, Obama flew a Boeing seven fifty seven a plane.
28:47
Speaker 4: I know very well. They took the seats out and
28:50
Speaker 4: they loaded it up with one point seven billion dollars
28:53
Speaker 4: in cash from the banks in Maryland and Virginia and DC.
28:58
Speaker 4: They emptied at the back and they gave them one
29:01
Speaker 4: point seven in green and they gave them tens of
29:04
Speaker 4: billions of dollars, just kept giving them money and it
29:07
Speaker 4: didn't work.
29:08
Speaker 5: Would any again? But again, mister president, you promised that
29:13
Speaker 5: you were going to negotiate a better deal.
29:15
Speaker 3: Do you whip?
29:17
Speaker 1: You listen to the president there, and I do think
29:19
Speaker 1: it's really interesting to see how quick I meet the press.
29:23
Speaker 1: They wanted to get back in his face to go
29:25
Speaker 1: but this is a disaster, like he's like, it's three months.
29:28
Speaker 3: Like what I'm doing right now is really tough.
29:31
Speaker 1: Others said they were in favor of what I'm doing,
29:33
Speaker 1: they didn't do it the way I'm doing it.
29:35
Speaker 3: I'm holding them accountable.
29:37
Speaker 1: This goes back to just perspective here, I think is
29:40
Speaker 1: the biggest thing of the President saying.
29:41
Speaker 2: Well, what the President said that is very clear is
29:44
Speaker 2: he's drawn a red line and he's insisting that Iran
29:46
Speaker 2: comply with his red line. His red lines, which we've
29:49
Speaker 2: talked about at length. Or Number one, no nukes, no
29:51
Speaker 2: nuclear materials. They have no nuclear in Richmond, and they
29:55
Speaker 2: have to hand over the enricheradium. They have number two,
29:57
Speaker 2: they have to stop funding terrorism. Number or three, they
30:00
Speaker 2: have to open the strait of Hormus. And you will
30:04
Speaker 2: not see he has said, sanctions relief. You will not
30:07
Speaker 2: see money going to them until they comply with those conditions.
30:11
Speaker 2: That's the right way to negotiate. Both Barack Obama and
30:13
Speaker 2: Joe Biden just flooded billions, yeah, into Iran. As the
30:17
Speaker 2: President said, Obama literally flew a plane filled with almost
30:20
Speaker 2: two billion dollars in cash, palettes of cash into Iran
30:24
Speaker 2: in the dead of night. There was another exchange President
30:27
Speaker 2: Trump had had with meet the press. Give a listen
30:29
Speaker 2: to this.
30:29
Speaker 4: One, and they would have had a nuclear weapon five
30:31
Speaker 4: years ago.
30:32
Speaker 5: But mister President, I'm curious because when you were campaigning,
30:35
Speaker 5: you said you would rip up the around nuclear deal
30:38
Speaker 5: but negotiate a better deal. Why didn't you negotiate a
30:41
Speaker 5: better deal at the time, Because after it was ripped
30:44
Speaker 5: their work guardrails and they escalated their production of enriched duration.
30:48
Speaker 4: Use me, it takes years to do these things. These
30:51
Speaker 4: people have been fighting for forty seven years. They've been
30:55
Speaker 4: killing Americans. They've been taking off their legs and their
30:58
Speaker 4: arm and their faces have been hurt so badly and
31:00
Speaker 4: so horribly. I'm moving very fast. I'm into three months.
31:05
Speaker 4: You know, Vietnam lasted nineteen years. I'm into my third month.
31:09
Speaker 4: And all I do is say, well, what are you
31:11
Speaker 4: going to win? If I were a Democrat, nobody would
31:14
Speaker 4: be talking that way. But it doesn't matter to me.
31:15
Speaker 4: I have gotten so used to it. Look, we have
31:19
Speaker 4: totally destroyed their military. They have some missiles left, They
31:23
Speaker 4: have some drones left.
31:24
Speaker 5: Do you know how many minutes?
31:25
Speaker 1: Yes?
31:25
Speaker 5: Exactly how many?
31:27
Speaker 4: I don't want to tell you.
31:28
Speaker 3: Can you give me to have some left? No?
31:30
Speaker 4: But they have. I know almost to the number. And
31:33
Speaker 4: we know where they are too, And we know where
31:35
Speaker 4: their drones are, and we know where their drone factories
31:38
Speaker 4: are Most of the drone factories have been knocked out,
31:40
Speaker 4: most of the launching pads have been knocked out, and
31:43
Speaker 4: most of the missile manufacturing areas have been knocked out.
31:47
Speaker 4: But they still have capacity. They have some missiles, they
31:50
Speaker 4: have some drones. I would say percentage wise, maybe twenty
31:55
Speaker 4: one twenty two percent of their missiles. It's a lot
31:58
Speaker 4: of missiles, but it's not what it was when we
32:00
Speaker 4: first attacked.
32:01
Speaker 5: So you're saying they have twenty one twenty two percent
32:04
Speaker 5: of their missiles.
32:04
Speaker 1: Left, correct, Yes, I just I got to say I
32:08
Speaker 1: laugh at how they want him to tell them in
32:11
Speaker 1: phreings like I'm not going to tell you that public, Well,
32:14
Speaker 1: why won't you because I'm not going to tell the
32:16
Speaker 1: enemy what I know on everything.
32:18
Speaker 3: This seems pretty normal.
32:20
Speaker 1: Yet the entire interview had that level of hostility in it.
32:24
Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, I mean NBC unfortunately it is approaching this,
32:28
Speaker 2: and it has approached this like like the rest of
32:30
Speaker 2: the corporate media, with effectively rooting for the United States
32:34
Speaker 2: to lose. As the President laid out, the United States
32:38
Speaker 2: has had extraordinary military results in this conflict. Eighty percent
32:43
Speaker 2: of the missiles, eighty percent of the drones, destroyed, virtually
32:46
Speaker 2: all of the drone manufacturing and missile capacity, destroyed, the
32:50
Speaker 2: air Force in rubble, the Navy sunken at the bottom
32:53
Speaker 2: of the ocean. The Iyatola did, many of the Mulla's dead,
32:57
Speaker 2: many of the leaders of the IRGC did. And her question,
33:01
Speaker 2: she says, well, why didn't you negotiate a better deal?
33:03
Speaker 2: And you know, I'm listening to that wondering. You know,
33:06
Speaker 2: it's like someone saying to the police, why didn't you
33:10
Speaker 2: negotiate a better deal with Charles Manson, Why don't you
33:12
Speaker 2: negotiate a better a deal with Jeffrey Dahmer. Why don't
33:14
Speaker 2: you negotiate a better deal with Ted Bundy. It is
33:19
Speaker 2: not possible to negotiate a deal with someone who's only
33:23
Speaker 2: objective is to murder you. And the media refuses to
33:28
Speaker 2: acknowledge that. They said, They're like, you know, the right
33:31
Speaker 2: solution is send them billions of dollars. That's what democrats want.
33:35
Speaker 2: It is complete appeasement. It is denial of the reality
33:39
Speaker 2: that when the Iatola says death to America, he means it.
33:43
