- 1:12Speaker 7: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 1:15Speaker 7: is way grateful that he's not who he used to be, here's.
- 1:27Speaker 2: All right, welcome in. It is the Tuesday edition of
- 1:30Speaker 2: The Kevin Show. We've got so much in store for you.
- 1:33Speaker 2: We've got a lot of important things to talk about.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Important people are going to be here. David Wilson's back
- 1:39Speaker 2: with us in the How Do We Live segment. We're
- 1:42Speaker 2: going to speak with Rear Admiral Peter Brown, KT McFarlane,
- 1:47Speaker 2: former defense advisor to the Trump administration and to two
- 1:50Speaker 2: other presidential administrations. We've also got Pastor Jamal Smith. Bernard
- 1:56Speaker 2: of one of the nation's largest churches, the Christian Cultural Center,
- 2:00Speaker 2: will be with us in hour two as well. And
- 2:03Speaker 2: we've got some fun stuff to do by way of
- 2:05Speaker 2: getting Bibles to people. We are so close. Thank you. Yesterday,
- 2:10Speaker 2: your efforts helped another 700 people get Bibles, and I
- 2:16Speaker 2: am just thrilled with that. That means that we are
- 2:19Speaker 2: closing in now on, I think it's somewhere around 2,500
- 2:23Speaker 2: Bibles to go. But if we could If we could
- 2:25Speaker 2: just get those Bibles to people, there's so much good
- 2:30Speaker 2: that's going to be done in their life. And to
- 2:32Speaker 2: all you people who have been sending me emails saying,
- 2:34Speaker 2: who wants to get a Bible?
- 2:36Speaker 8: Bibles aren't important.
- 2:38Speaker 9: You know what?
- 2:38Speaker 2: I'm sorry for those of you that feel that way,
- 2:42Speaker 2: because by not knowing the extreme goodness and comfort and
- 2:48Speaker 2: encouragement and wonder that the Bible can bring to your life,
- 2:52Speaker 2: You're just turning into bitter, mean people. I'm sorry. It's
- 2:59Speaker 2: one thing. Maybe you don't think that it's important to
- 3:01Speaker 2: give Bibles to people. That's okay. You can disagree with that.
- 3:04Speaker 2: But just take the time to send me an email
- 3:06Speaker 2: and be like, you don't think that that's actually helping anybody,
- 3:10Speaker 2: do you? Dude, just, you know, take a giant chill pill.
- 3:17Speaker 10: Yes, I do.
- 3:17Speaker 2: That's why we do it, because it is helping. Anyway,
- 3:20Speaker 2: I got something else I want to talk about here
- 3:22Speaker 2: at the opening of the show. Somewhere in a green
- 3:24Speaker 2: room in Atlanta, a CNN producer is polishing his outrage
- 3:30Speaker 2: face for tonight's segment on.
- 3:32Speaker 8: The death of press freedom.
- 3:35Speaker 1: This is CNN.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Never mind that the segment is happening on television in America, uncensored, unmolested,
- 3:45Speaker 2: and beamed into however many homes still bother tuning in
- 3:48Speaker 2: to CNN in prime time. The crime is apparently that
- 3:53Speaker 2: CNN's laminated hall pass to roam the White House without
- 3:59Speaker 2: restrictions got revoked. President Trump, two days ago, removed CNN, MSNOW,
- 4:07Speaker 2: which used to be MSNBC, and Politico from the White
- 4:10Speaker 2: House grounds after years of what the administration characterizes as
- 4:14Speaker 2: blatantly false reporting. That's it. Nobody's newsroom got raided. Nobody's
- 4:21Speaker 2: sources got subpoenaed. Nobody's phone got tapped. A handful of
- 4:25Speaker 2: outlets lost the privilege of parking a camera crew inside
- 4:29Speaker 2: the fence, and somehow this is being sold to us
- 4:32Speaker 2: as the sequel to Kristallnacht. The First Amendment protects the
- 4:38Speaker 2: network's right to publish. It does not entitle anyone to
- 4:41Speaker 2: a hard pass, a briefing room set, or a spot
- 4:46Speaker 2: in the press pool. That's not a Trump talking point.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It's how the White House access has always worked. And
- 4:55Speaker 2: whatever a judge eventually decides about this particular fight, because
- 4:58Speaker 2: people are suing over it, CNN can still say whatever
- 5:01Speaker 2: it wants to about this administration from a studio in Atlanta,
- 5:04Speaker 2: or they can do their stand-up from across the lawn
- 5:09Speaker 2: at the White House. What it can't do is demand
- 5:12Speaker 2: a permanent taxpayer-subsidized parking spot on the North Lawn as
- 5:16Speaker 2: a constitutional entitlement. Access to the White House has always
- 5:23Speaker 2: been a privilege. And the last few administrations just never
- 5:26Speaker 2: had to defend that principle out loud because they were
- 5:29Speaker 2: the ones handing out the privileges selectively. Which brings us
- 5:34Speaker 2: to the amnesia currently sweeping the White House Correspondents Association
- 5:39Speaker 2: like some sort of bad bird flu. Barack Obama went
- 5:43Speaker 2: on television recently to call a media ban, quote, unimaginable, adorable.
- 5:50Speaker 2: That's really sweet from him because his own White House
- 5:53Speaker 2: branded Fox News the research arm and communications arm of
- 5:57Speaker 2: the Republican Party. Then they barred Fox News from a
- 6:03Speaker 2: round of exclusive Sunday show interviews and instructed all agencies
- 6:07Speaker 2: to skip including them in pooled coverage and work to
- 6:10Speaker 2: isolate the network entirely. In other words, They didn't just say, hey,
- 6:15Speaker 2: you don't get a spot at the White House today,
- 6:17Speaker 2: but you can still have all your reporters at the
- 6:19Speaker 2: Pentagon and the House and everywhere else. They said, no
- 6:25Speaker 2: good on Fox News anywhere. And then there's the funny
- 6:31Speaker 2: case of James Rosen. Some people won't remember, but everybody
- 6:34Speaker 2: wants to talk about CNN losing a hard pass, but
- 6:38Speaker 2: nobody on the left wants to talk about how the
- 6:41Speaker 2: Obama Justice Department labeled Fox reporter James Rosen at the
- 6:45Speaker 2: time a possible, quote, co-conspirator in a criminal case, they
- 6:52Speaker 2: secretly monitored his emails and phone calls and tracked his
- 6:55Speaker 2: physical movements. So here's a question for every purple-haired, press-freedom
- 7:01Speaker 2: cosplayer clutching pearls this week. Did Trump ever get a
- 7:05Speaker 2: warrant to read CNN's texts? Did he ever tap a
- 7:10Speaker 2: phone like they did to James Rosen? you can't come
- 7:15Speaker 2: to the briefing room anymore, is not the same thing
- 7:17Speaker 2: as the federal government is monitoring your private communications and
- 7:20Speaker 2: treating you as a criminal. And then it kept going.
- 7:26Speaker 2: In 2011, Obama officials told the Boston Herald flat out
- 7:30Speaker 2: that its pool access depended on covering the president fairly,
- 7:34Speaker 2: right after the paper ran a Romney op-ed on its
- 7:37Speaker 2: front page. That same year, 2011, A San Francisco Chronicle
- 7:42Speaker 2: reporter caught protesters interrupting an Obama fundraiser on tape, and
- 7:46Speaker 2: the White House threatened to pull the paper's access over that.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Then in 2012, the Obama Justice Department secretly seized two
- 7:54Speaker 2: months of phone records off more than 20 Associated Press
- 7:58Speaker 2: lines used by over a dozen journalists. Not a credential yanked,
- 8:02Speaker 2: but the government quietly finding out who all of the
- 8:05Speaker 2: journalists were talking to. That was all just under Obama.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Under Biden... He blocked the New York Post's Stephen Nelson
- 8:14Speaker 2: from a public event in 2023, and there were empty
- 8:17Speaker 2: seats in the convention. Where was the primal scream from
- 8:23Speaker 2: the press corps for any of that? Where were the
- 8:27Speaker 2: somber MSNBC panels mourning the Fourth Estate and a sitting
- 8:32Speaker 2: DOJ reading a Fox reporter's private email? They were busy
- 8:38Speaker 2: hosting Brian Stelter, CNN host. who, and I promise I'm
- 8:42Speaker 2: not making this up, repeatedly floated banning Fox News from
- 8:45Speaker 2: the White House altogether, and later suggested pulling it off
- 8:48Speaker 2: cable entirely. Stelter just didn't want Fox out of the
- 8:52Speaker 2: briefing room, he wanted it off the air. And if
- 8:56Speaker 2: you want the cherry on top, the Media Research Center
- 8:58Speaker 2: found that during the first 100 days of the Trump administration,
- 9:04Speaker 2: mainstream coverage ran 92% negative compared to 60% positive for
- 9:10Speaker 2: Biden over the same stretch. So spare me the vapors.
- 9:16Speaker 2: CNN didn't lose its voice. It lost its parking spot.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Nothing more complicated than that. All these people are like, oh,
- 9:24Speaker 2: the First Amendment's under attack. No, it's not. No, it's not.
- 9:30Speaker 2: They can still say and do whatever they want. They
- 9:33Speaker 2: just may not get to do it from the White
- 9:36Speaker 2: House prop. And they're not the first ones that have
- 9:38Speaker 2: been denied that privilege.
- 10:08Speaker 8: Here he is from New York. That Kevin. Kevin McCullough.
- 10:20Speaker 11: All right.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Welcome back.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It's That Kevin Show. And the website is thatkevinshow.com. And
- 10:25Speaker 2: there you can go back and get all the podcasts
- 10:28Speaker 2: from all of the shows every day. And if you
- 10:30Speaker 2: want to, you can get this week's discussion about how
- 10:34Speaker 2: we live by going there as well. David Wilson is
- 10:38Speaker 2: our pastor who's joining us and helping us walk through
- 10:41Speaker 2: a very important discussion that I think, David, we don't
- 10:45Speaker 2: talk about enough. We started the conversation yesterday, but I
- 10:48Speaker 2: feel like that this idea that we are as believers,
- 10:55Speaker 2: if we are going to be Christ-like, give us the
- 10:59Speaker 2: mindset of what Christ's goal is for us, how we
- 11:03Speaker 2: should you know, go about living out that faith. It
- 11:06Speaker 2: is really termed in no better term, I think, than
- 11:09Speaker 2: the word excellence and how he wants us to represent him,
- 11:13Speaker 2: how he wants us to represent the gospel. Uh, we
- 11:16Speaker 2: want to do it with excellence. We want to do
- 11:18Speaker 2: it with, with, um, precision and with, and with honesty, but,
- 11:23Speaker 2: but also greatness in terms of like what the message is,
- 11:26Speaker 2: because it's such an important call.
- 11:31Speaker 9: Yeah, I definitely, um, See the living out of excellence.
- 11:36Speaker 11: And of course, we're basing this on what Paul says
- 11:40Speaker 11: in Colossians 3, 17, that whatever you do, and I
- 11:47Speaker 11: like that, whatever, that's an old preacher's kind of word.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Anything and everything. That's right.
- 11:54Speaker 11: Stretch your hands wide and say whatever you do in
- 11:59Speaker 11: word or deed, do all in the name of the
- 12:02Speaker 11: Lord Jesus. giving thanks to God, the father through him.
- 12:07Speaker 11: And now doing all in the name of the Lord
- 12:10Speaker 11: does not mean that whatever you do, you say in
- 12:13Speaker 11: Jesus name, in Jesus name, I'm going to go upstairs
- 12:17Speaker 11: in Jesus name. I'm gonna drive down the street. That's
- 12:19Speaker 11: not what it means. That's how you get locked up
- 12:22Speaker 11: in a padded room somewhere. I'm sorry if they still
- 12:24Speaker 11: do that.
- 12:26Speaker 9: But in the name means in the manner or under the.
- 12:31Speaker 11: Authority of like a diplomat or an ambassador, makes decisions
- 12:37Speaker 11: and has conversations, not for their own name, but in
- 12:41Speaker 11: the name of the country that they serve.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Wearing a jersey, if you will.
- 12:47Speaker 9: Say that again?
- 12:48Speaker 2: Wearing a jersey, if you will.
- 12:51Speaker 9: Yeah, that'll work.
- 12:54Speaker 11: But we ought to make decisions on what we say
- 12:59Speaker 11: and what we do.
- 13:01Speaker 9: Not in our own name, but in the name, under
- 13:04Speaker 9: the authority and.
- 13:05Speaker 11: Respect to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And I
- 13:09Speaker 11: think that applies to the style of what you do.
- 13:13Speaker 11: That the way that the Lord carried himself, the things
- 13:16Speaker 11: that he did, he did it excellently. I love the
- 13:21Speaker 11: fact that when it came to feeding the 5,000, I
- 13:24Speaker 11: think it was like 20, counting women and children, that
- 13:29Speaker 11: he not only fed them for them to fill or
- 13:34Speaker 11: be full, but he had even more left over after
- 13:38Speaker 11: he fed them. That's the level of excellence.
- 13:41Speaker 9: That's the going.
- 13:42Speaker 11: Beyond the transcendence of God and Jesus, and I believe
- 13:49Speaker 11: that that we as followers ought to have the same
- 13:53Speaker 11: attitude of going beyond the regular, doing more than what's
- 13:58Speaker 11: necessary for the purpose of people seeing Christ in.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Us.
- 14:08Speaker 9: I actually make a point that this well-known verse, that
- 14:12Speaker 9: whatever you do, I mean, it's even in a song.
- 14:15Speaker 9: We used to sing a song. out of the hymn
- 14:17Speaker 9: books that was out of this.
- 14:20Speaker 11: Verse, but it belongs in a larger discussion of Christian character.
- 14:26Speaker 11: And it starts in verse 12.
- 14:29Speaker 9: Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put
- 14:33Speaker 9: on tender mercies.
- 14:36Speaker 11: Verse 14, but above all these things, put on love.
- 14:40Speaker 9: So this passage is talking about the.
- 14:45Speaker 11: New mind, The new manner that you ought to put
- 14:49Speaker 11: on and part of that manner of putting on mercies,
- 14:55Speaker 11: forgiving one another, putting on love, let the word of
- 15:00Speaker 11: Christ dwell in you richly includes that whatever you do
- 15:05Speaker 11: in word or deed, do all in the name of
- 15:07Speaker 11: the Lord. So it's that important that we have a
- 15:13Speaker 11: level of excellence in God. Whatever we do, wherever we go,
- 15:20Speaker 11: whatever we say, we ought to do it in the style,
- 15:25Speaker 11: in the manner, and under the authority of Jesus Christ.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Does this have to do also with the amount of
- 15:33Speaker 2: what we do as opposed to just the quality of
- 15:35Speaker 2: what we do? Is it a quantity of work in
- 15:39Speaker 2: addition to the quality of the work that we do?
- 15:43Speaker 9: Absolutely.
- 15:43Speaker 11: So you just put me in mind of like the
- 15:46Speaker 11: Proverbs that often warn against is a slothfulness or laziness
- 15:55Speaker 11: or a lack of diligence.
- 15:58Speaker 9: So I believe that the Christian.
- 16:01Speaker 11: The follower of God needs to be about something, needs to.
- 16:05Speaker 9: Be diligent, needs to have a life.
- 16:09Speaker 11: Of getting it done, which would take you beyond, uh,
- 16:13Speaker 11: your beautiful peanut butter and jelly.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:18Speaker 11: That you really did put it in my head, uh,
- 16:22Speaker 11: that there needs to be more, more, um, That goes
- 16:26Speaker 11: along with life.
- 16:28Speaker 9: Work, for that matter, Christians ought to be the best workers.
- 16:32Speaker 11: So the workers, the best students, the best neighbors, the
- 16:40Speaker 11: shape of our house, the look of the lawn, all
- 16:44Speaker 11: of that.
- 16:44Speaker 9: Reflects a lifestyle change. that is under the Christ manner.
- 16:51Speaker 11: So I think you're right that it's not just about,
- 16:54Speaker 11: I would say this, I would say this, that if characteristically,
- 16:58Speaker 11: and that's a big word in this, character, characteristically you
- 17:02Speaker 11: are a hard worker, characteristically you are.
- 17:06Speaker 9: Doing and accomplishing good parenting, good husband, good wife.
- 17:11Speaker 11: If characteristically you are pouring yourself into life, If you
- 17:15Speaker 11: decide today I'm only going to eat a peanut butter
- 17:21Speaker 11: jelly sandwich and go and.
- 17:23Speaker 9: Lay back down, that's fine.
- 17:26Speaker 11: I think we need to do more of that to
- 17:28Speaker 11: where we take time off. But that's only in the
- 17:33Speaker 11: context of of being a hard worker, having the character
- 17:38Speaker 11: of diligence, uh, then you could take a vacation and
- 17:41Speaker 11: not be.
- 17:42Speaker 2: It's, it's a, it's a contrast. It's not a, it's
- 17:45Speaker 2: not a, uh, uh, a constancy, I guess would be
- 17:49Speaker 2: the way I put it. Um, very interesting. Uh, and
- 17:53Speaker 2: I think that, I think that, that, you know, a
- 17:57Speaker 2: lot of people have said, well, you know, I, I
- 18:01Speaker 2: preach the gospel with how I live and how I work.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Okay. That's good.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I know that the scripture also says that we have
- 18:07Speaker 2: to physically speak the gospel to preach the gospel as well.
- 18:11Speaker 2: And I'm not trying to underscore that. But I'm also
- 18:13Speaker 2: not trying to dismiss the idea that if we are
- 18:17Speaker 2: faithful in how we do what we do, it will
- 18:21Speaker 2: point to God's work in us. And it will cause
- 18:26Speaker 2: people to say, why do you do it the way
- 18:29Speaker 2: you do it?
- 18:29Speaker 9: That's right. Absolutely.
- 18:31Speaker 11: And you mentioned witnessing. it's always important, it kind of
- 18:37Speaker 11: sneaks by us, that when we're reading these texts, we're
- 18:42Speaker 11: not reading about a time.
- 18:44Speaker 9: Where Christianity is popular. It might not be popular.
- 18:48Speaker 11: With everyone, but this is a startup faith, if you will,
- 18:53Speaker 11: aside from understanding Judaism and Abraham and all of that.
- 18:59Speaker 11: but they are going into a pagan world talking about
- 19:03Speaker 11: unbelievable things that God came down as a man and
- 19:09Speaker 11: then lived a perfect life and died on a cross
- 19:12Speaker 11: and was buried and rose again.
- 19:15Speaker 9: We say that.
- 19:17Speaker 11: Easily, but that was some unbelievable words back then And
- 19:26Speaker 11: so the life that people lived as they spoke that
- 19:30Speaker 11: word really became important.
- 19:35Speaker 9: We'll mention it again, but that's what Jesus.
- 19:37Speaker 11: Says when he says, let your light so shine for
- 19:43Speaker 11: men that they may see your, not your good message,
- 19:47Speaker 11: but your good works and glorify God. god uh on
- 19:51Speaker 11: your on your behalf uh so it was important for
- 19:54Speaker 11: the first century church to have a lifestyle a heart
- 19:58Speaker 11: that's that's why he even tells slaves believe it or
- 20:01Speaker 11: not To make sure.
- 20:03Speaker 9: That you serve like you're serving under the Lord.
- 20:06Speaker 12: Now, I know that's been manipulated and abused, but the
- 20:10Speaker 12: fact was, whatever place of life you're in, you ought
- 20:15Speaker 12: to show an allegiance, ought.
- 20:17Speaker 11: To show that Jesus style, do it in his name.
- 20:23Speaker 11: so that he gets glorified through your life.
- 20:25Speaker 2: All right, David Wilson, great stuff. Senior pastor at King's
- 20:28Speaker 2: Church of Christ in Brooklyn, two locations, East Flatbush and
- 20:32Speaker 2: also in Brownsville. Thank you. We look forward to continuing
- 20:36Speaker 2: the discussion tomorrow.
- 20:37Speaker 9: Awesome. See you then.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough coming right back. Don't go away.
- 20:47Speaker 8: Stick around for more of That Kevin next week.
- 21:08Speaker 10: Here he is from New York, that Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Welcome back.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com. And as I have been
- 21:18Speaker 2: telling you this week, we are in the deadline. We
- 21:22Speaker 2: have come to the end of this journey with the
- 21:25Speaker 2: Bible League. And after the end of this week, we're
- 21:27Speaker 2: not going to have the opportunity to continue to remind
- 21:30Speaker 2: you about the Bibles that are needed that we have
- 21:32Speaker 2: been asking for you to help us with. And I
- 21:35Speaker 2: have to say, I want to say a big word
- 21:37Speaker 2: of thanks because yesterday I was telling you that we
- 21:40Speaker 2: were still like 3,200 Bibles away. from getting where we
- 21:44Speaker 2: need to be. Michael Woolworth is back with us from
- 21:48Speaker 2: Bible League HQ. And Michael, you're telling me that we
- 21:52Speaker 2: are only 2,500 Bibles away now. That means that about
- 21:56Speaker 2: 700 people got Bibles yesterday that were needing them, asking
- 22:02Speaker 2: for them, begging for them, praying for them. And the
- 22:05Speaker 2: fact that we are that much closer is huge. And
- 22:08Speaker 2: we just need people to keep being faithful today and
- 22:10Speaker 2: tomorrow and Thursday and Friday and Saturday and Sunday. And
- 22:13Speaker 2: if we can do that, we can actually get these
- 22:16Speaker 2: remaining 2,500 Bibles that are out there. So I don't
- 22:19Speaker 2: know if you want to thank some people. My heart's
- 22:21Speaker 2: full of thanks for those 700 Bibles. But we need
- 22:24Speaker 2: some help.
- 22:25Speaker 13: Well, Kevin, this is year 88 for us. It was
- 22:27Speaker 13: Good Friday 1938 in the Chicago area when Bible League
- 22:30Speaker 13: was birthed, right? And, you know, our founders always envisioned
- 22:35Speaker 13: that the caring groups of believers like those listening to
- 22:37Speaker 13: that Kevin show would catch a glimpse into what God
- 22:39Speaker 13: is doing and say, look, we've got to be a
- 22:41Speaker 13: part of this. Right. For the princely sum of only
- 22:44Speaker 13: five dollars a Bible. So, again, we've seen thousands sent
- 22:48Speaker 13: to this point. That means what? Thousands of answers to prayer.
- 22:51Speaker 11: Right.
- 22:51Speaker 13: Waiting believers waiting. Again, that we know by name at
- 22:54Speaker 13: Bible League. People like Maria of Detroit said, Michael, Kevin,
- 22:58Speaker 13: count me in at 20 Bibles. Don of Gresham, Oregon said,
- 23:02Speaker 13: I want to be a part of this, a $ 500
- 23:04Speaker 13: gift to fill 100 waiting hands. Samuel of Auburn, yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 13: this is in Washington, Auburn, Washington, right? An $ 800 gift, Kevin,
- 23:16Speaker 13: an investment in this campaign to bless 160 believers, again,
- 23:20Speaker 13: that we know by name at Bible. You know, and
- 23:22Speaker 13: that really ought to be a comfort to you listeners.
- 23:24Speaker 13: We're not going into a village, dropping a box of Bibles,
- 23:28Speaker 13: praying that there's takers in every case in our weeks together.
- 23:31Speaker 13: Every believer that we've talked about is somebody who's come
- 23:34Speaker 13: to saving faith. They've said, one, I want to follow
- 23:36Speaker 13: Jesus that typically comes on the heels of of somebody
- 23:40Speaker 13: maybe in their small village or in their bustling city saying, what,
- 23:42Speaker 13: come learn about Jesus. And then they're pulled into a
- 23:44Speaker 13: group study. And then at the end of that, Kevin,
- 23:47Speaker 13: as we hear them make a profession of faith, Bible
- 23:50Speaker 13: League is there to provide that Bible in the language
- 23:53Speaker 13: of the receiver. We do that often without charge.
- 23:56Speaker 11: Why?
- 23:56Speaker 13: Because a lot of believers live in extreme poverty. When
- 23:59Speaker 13: you identify as a believer, you're denied access to services, jobs,
- 24:04Speaker 13: those sorts of things. And so, Kevin, that's where your
- 24:06Speaker 13: listeners come in. They've been incredibly generous over the years,
- 24:10Speaker 13: not only to Bible League, but really those to whom
- 24:13Speaker 13: we have been called to serve. You've got this audio
- 24:15Speaker 13: clip from, I love this guy, Ming. He's a former
- 24:19Speaker 13: Zen Buddhist. He's in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, Kevin.
- 24:22Speaker 13: And I love the analogy. He likens the Bible to
- 24:26Speaker 13: a map, but I love this. Ming is in Vietnam.
- 24:29Speaker 3: If they don't have Bible, how they can find the truth?
- 24:32Speaker 3: Because the Bible like a map to bring them to
- 24:35Speaker 3: find the truth.
- 24:36Speaker 1: So if they don't have a.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Map, They couldn't find any truth. So it is a
- 24:40Speaker 3: very special opportunity that the Lord answered our prayer. Our
- 24:46Speaker 3: country opened the door for the gospel. And many people,
- 24:50Speaker 3: they are really hungry for the word of God.
- 24:53Speaker 8: And then they need the Bible.
- 24:54Speaker 2: The phone number to help get the Bibles to the
- 24:56Speaker 2: people like Meng and the people that are in his
- 24:58Speaker 2: community who are seeking Bibles that don't have them. Most
- 25:03Speaker 2: of these are believers that have come to faith through
- 25:06Speaker 2: the Project Phillip program with Bible League, and they have said, okay,
- 25:11Speaker 2: now I understand what it is about. I want a
- 25:13Speaker 2: copy of it for myself so that I can continue
- 25:15Speaker 2: to study. If you would like to be a part
- 25:18Speaker 2: of that, 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673. And of course, you can click
- 25:20Speaker 2: that big yellow banner there. on the website that says
- 25:30Speaker 2: Be a Joymaker from Bible League. You click that. You
- 25:32Speaker 2: can give your gift there as well. And that's where
- 25:35Speaker 2: your money's going. It's 200 Bibles to this place here.
- 25:38Speaker 2: It's 30 Bibles over here. It's 50 Bibles there. But friends,
- 25:42Speaker 2: all together, that make up the 2,500 Bibles that we
- 25:46Speaker 2: have left. We can do this. If we have everyone
- 25:49Speaker 2: listening right now, and one of the things I said yesterday, Michael,
- 25:52Speaker 2: was if you've been personally impacted by Scripture, if there
- 25:56Speaker 2: has been something in your life that has been changed
- 25:59Speaker 2: because of a scripture verse, if you have been in
- 26:02Speaker 2: an hour of darkness and discouragement, and there was a
- 26:05Speaker 2: verse that came to you or that you read or
- 26:07Speaker 2: that you stumbled across, then you know the power that
- 26:11Speaker 2: the Bible is. We don't, as Christians in this country today,
- 26:15Speaker 2: Bible-believing Christians, we don't sit back and look at this
- 26:18Speaker 2: and say, that's just like a book of any other books.
- 26:21Speaker 2: We don't believe that. All of the literature and the
- 26:24Speaker 2: fiction and the public policy and all the stuff that
- 26:27Speaker 2: are on my bookshelves in my home, none of it
- 26:29Speaker 2: has the power to do the stuff in the text
- 26:33Speaker 2: that the text of scripture has to do. And that's
- 26:36Speaker 2: what's setting people free. That's what people in the Bible
- 26:39Speaker 2: League Project Philip Bible Studies are finding out. They're finding
- 26:42Speaker 2: out that when they open God's word and they find
- 26:45Speaker 2: encouragement for the situation that they're facing, they don't find
- 26:49Speaker 2: that anywhere else. And it's a supernatural type of finding.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It is not just your words on a page just
- 26:56Speaker 2: sitting there as a form of writing. This is life breathing.
- 27:00Speaker 2: This is something that inhabits the body and praises of
- 27:04Speaker 2: God's people. It comes to mind when they want to
- 27:06Speaker 2: give him worship. It is something that reminds us that
- 27:10Speaker 2: we need to follow him when we are convicted about
- 27:13Speaker 2: things regarding our sin. It is where we go to
- 27:15Speaker 2: find comfort in the darkness and the lonely hours. It
- 27:18Speaker 2: is our guide. It is the light. It is the
- 27:20Speaker 2: path that we need to be on. And we cannot
- 27:24Speaker 2: manufacture it without it being in our lives. And so, Michael,
- 27:29Speaker 2: as you've reminded us over and over, that's what these
- 27:32Speaker 2: believers are trying to tell us in all these stories.
- 27:34Speaker 2: It's very simple. We need a copy of God's word
- 27:36Speaker 2: for ourselves. And friends, it's up to us to get
- 27:39Speaker 2: it to them.
- 27:39Speaker 11: 800-937-9673, 800-937-9673.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Or go to thatkevinshow.com and click the big yellow Bible
- 27:48Speaker 2: League banner. Don't sit back. Take action now.
- 27:52Speaker 14: Here he is from New York. That Kevin.
- 28:13Speaker 8: Kevin McCullough.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Welcome back.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough, glad to have you with us. I talked
- 28:21Speaker 2: about it first thing on my Saturday show on TV
- 28:25Speaker 2: because the news broke late Friday. As the week broke
- 28:29Speaker 2: out Monday, I was talking about it again because it
- 28:32Speaker 2: is such a big deal. Though I'm noticing that the
- 28:35Speaker 2: mainline press is really not highlighting any of it at all.
- 28:38Speaker 2: But it is such an enormous defensive, strategic objective that
- 28:44Speaker 2: the administration pulled off. And crazy like a fox... Our
- 28:48Speaker 2: commander-in-chief did it again. And here to discuss is Rear
- 28:51Speaker 2: Admiral Peter Brown from the America First Policy Institute. Peter,
- 28:54Speaker 2: I see this happen time and time and time again.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Trump floats a suggestion. He makes it sound somewhat reasonable.
- 29:05Speaker 2: The people in the mainstream go crazy. Their brains explode.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Green goo oozes everywhere because they're just so like, I
- 29:12Speaker 2: can't believe he would say something like that. But in
- 29:16Speaker 2: the case of Greenland, In the case of what we're
- 29:19Speaker 2: going to be able to do there, this was one
- 29:21Speaker 2: of the most deft moves of any president in the
- 29:25Speaker 2: modern era, in my opinion. And it shook an ally
- 29:28Speaker 2: kind of out of its doldrums and kind of woke
- 29:30Speaker 2: them up and said, you know, you really owe Greenland
- 29:32Speaker 2: some responsibilities here. And oh, by the way, now we're
- 29:36Speaker 2: going to get to operate everything we wanted to do
- 29:38Speaker 2: for the Golden Dome and the protection of North America. Oh,
- 29:41Speaker 2: and by the way, the protection of Europe and the
- 29:44Speaker 2: protection of our whole Eastern seaboard, it's all going to
- 29:47Speaker 2: be reinforced because the president said, hey, what about this idea?
- 29:52Speaker 2: And they're like, oh, you're crazy.
- 29:53Speaker 8: You're nuts.
- 29:54Speaker 2: They immediately go in, start negotiating in secret. They get
- 29:57Speaker 2: a deal. And now we're going to have an actual
- 30:02Speaker 2: security gate, basically, to the top of the globe that's
- 30:05Speaker 2: going to protect the West in a way that we've
- 30:07Speaker 2: never had it before. You're a military guy. Talk to
- 30:10Speaker 2: me about what this agreement actually delivers for the American
- 30:14Speaker 2: people and the West in general.
- 30:17Speaker 6: And you and I are both smiling because of the
- 30:21Speaker 6: president's negotiating style and the way he did this, which was,
- 30:26Speaker 6: as he often does, and he He telegraphed it in
- 30:28Speaker 6: his book four decades ago, The Art of the Deal,
- 30:32Speaker 6: that he stakes out a what to some people is
- 30:35Speaker 6: going to say crazy position or a maximalist position and
- 30:39Speaker 6: then generates conversation about that demand. And then his counterparty
- 30:46Speaker 6: has to negotiate with that demand in mind. And we
- 30:50Speaker 6: end up I've got to I've got to read for
- 30:53Speaker 6: a second Secretary Rubio's statement. And when I read it,
- 30:58Speaker 6: it's going to be this is where we ended up.
- 31:01Speaker 9: Right.
- 31:01Speaker 6: If Trump had said at the beginning, this is what
- 31:04Speaker 6: we want. People would have said, well, OK, that's we
- 31:06Speaker 6: wouldn't have gotten it.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:08Speaker 6: It says he said Greenland will forever be part of
- 31:11Speaker 6: the strategic defense area of North America and exclude any
- 31:17Speaker 6: adversary from it and the surrounding area. That's you can't
- 31:22Speaker 6: argue with that. It's so important. The defense of the
- 31:26Speaker 6: North Pole is so important for strategic ballistic missile defense
- 31:29Speaker 6: of the United States. It's indispensable from that regard. And
- 31:34Speaker 6: that's why we continue to have a Space Force base
- 31:37Speaker 6: in northern Greenland. The other part of this, and I'm
- 31:40Speaker 6: a maritime guy, a lot of people don't think about this,
- 31:43Speaker 6: is as big as Greenland is, the exclusive economic zone,
- 31:47Speaker 6: the ocean area around Greenland is just as big.
- 31:51Speaker 9: Right.
- 31:52Speaker 6: And so we've gained a defensive footprint not only on
- 31:56Speaker 6: the landmass of Greenland, but also in the exclusive economic zone,
- 32:00Speaker 6: which extends up into the Arctic Ocean and comes the
- 32:03Speaker 6: closest to the North Pole of all the exclusive economic
- 32:06Speaker 6: zones of the Arctic nations. So the ability to control
- 32:10Speaker 6: an EEZ, exclusive economic zone, only means something if you
- 32:14Speaker 6: can exclude people in Greenland right now, does not, even
- 32:20Speaker 6: with the support of the Kingdom of Denmark, does not
- 32:23Speaker 6: have the capability to know, observe, and exclude people from
- 32:28Speaker 6: that area.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Put this in the context also of Venezuela and what
- 32:32Speaker 2: we did there and Cuba and what still might happen
- 32:36Speaker 2: even there. I mean, when you're talking about complete hemispheric security,
- 32:41Speaker 2: it's not just getting China out of one country or
- 32:43Speaker 2: another or telling Russia to stop sending missiles to communist states.
- 32:49Speaker 2: It is literally saying, hey, let's do this together and
- 32:53Speaker 2: we will all win.
- 32:54Speaker 6: And I think we're seeing that. Certainly the inauguration of...
- 32:59Speaker 6: of newly elected presidents in Peru, in Chile, in Colombia,
- 33:04Speaker 6: are definitely moves in the right direction.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Oh, and might I also add, all of those guys
- 33:09Speaker 2: got elected right after we dried up all the USAID
- 33:12Speaker 2: slush funds that were going to fund the communists down there. Like,
- 33:16Speaker 2: as soon as we cut off the pipeline, the people
- 33:19Speaker 2: of those countries actually went, oh, no, we really do
- 33:21Speaker 2: want freedom.
- 33:22Speaker 8: Absolutely.
- 33:23Speaker 12: And so....
- 33:25Speaker 6: Cuba is the unfortunate worst case of seven decades of
- 33:32Speaker 6: communist rule. Venezuela only had to suffer through about three
- 33:36Speaker 6: decades of it. Some of these other countries have gone
- 33:40Speaker 6: through episodes with leftist governments and their people are telling
- 33:46Speaker 6: those leftists, no, we like what the United States is doing.
- 33:50Speaker 6: We want to be on that team. the team of safety, security,
- 33:55Speaker 6: and prosperity. And oh, by the way, if we, with
- 33:59Speaker 6: those countries, help achieve that, safety, security, and prosperity, the
- 34:04Speaker 6: migratory pressure from south to north will be reduced, and
- 34:09Speaker 6: all of the crime, all of the harms, economic, social,
- 34:13Speaker 6: and otherwise that come from that will be reduced. So
- 34:16Speaker 6: this is literally... win-win kind of dealing. And our president
- 34:22Speaker 6: and this administration are the absolute masters of it.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Well, and to your final point there, there are different
- 34:29Speaker 2: ways of ending illegal immigration. And one of the best
- 34:33Speaker 2: ways is to help the countries that they are from
- 34:36Speaker 2: to be magnets for them to return to. And the
- 34:40Speaker 2: way you do that, it's not complicated. You give them
- 34:43Speaker 2: free markets and free enterprise and freedom. and let the
- 34:46Speaker 2: people with their own energy and enthusiasm and entrepreneurship go
- 34:50Speaker 2: to work, and they will make the kind of life
- 34:52Speaker 2: that they want. You just can't have it when there's
- 34:54Speaker 2: a gun to your temple all the time.
- 34:57Speaker 5: I often say.
- 34:58Speaker 6: The Statue of Liberty is a light, not a magnet.
- 35:03Speaker 6: She's there to show others how to do it, not
- 35:06Speaker 6: to pull them to do it here. And I think
- 35:10Speaker 6: Columbia has one of the strongest, and most civic-minded business
- 35:16Speaker 6: populations in all of South America, I think they will
- 35:19Speaker 6: become a regional leader and example locally for how this
- 35:23Speaker 6: can be done with their business community there.
- 35:27Speaker 2: All good stuff, and all because some crazy guy in
- 35:30Speaker 2: the White House goes, hey, why don't we just annex Greenland? Anyway,
- 35:36Speaker 2: Admiral Peter Brown, thank you for all that you're doing.
- 35:38Speaker 5: We appreciate it.
- 35:40Speaker 6: Kevin, always a pleasure talking with you.
- 35:41Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough, coming.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Right back.
- 35:46Speaker 10: Stick around for more of That Kevin, next. Serving it
- 36:02Speaker 10: up with a no-drink minnow.
- 36:06Speaker 8: It's That Kevin Show.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Final few minutes today. Friends, grateful to have you with us.
- 36:12Speaker 2: It is That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com. If you've not yet
- 36:15Speaker 2: given your gift, that matching challenge will proceed through the
- 36:18Speaker 2: top of the hour. So please don't hesitate. Go make
- 36:21Speaker 2: that gift right now. Even if it takes you a
- 36:23Speaker 2: couple of minutes to get there, if you get it
- 36:25Speaker 2: in before the top of the hour, it will be matched.
- 36:28Speaker 2: And if you do it online and it's timestamped before
- 36:30Speaker 2: the top of the hour, same thing goes. It will
- 36:33Speaker 2: be matched.
- 36:33Speaker 9: 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Michael Woolworth is back with us. And Michael, Bible League
- 36:36Speaker 2: is active in something else called church planning. Tell us more.
- 36:47Speaker 13: Well, in parts of the world where there's not an
- 36:48Speaker 13: abundance of churches, Bible League is there to come alongside
- 36:51Speaker 13: church planners, men like Tomas in Ghana, Africa, to say what?
- 36:55Speaker 13: Here's resources to grow your church to the glory of God. Oftentimes, Kevin,
- 36:59Speaker 13: they're available without charge.
- 37:00Speaker 9: Why?
- 37:01Speaker 13: A lot of these churches, they exist in extreme poverty.
- 37:04Speaker 13: When you identify as a believer in places where they're Muslim-dominated, right?
- 37:09Speaker 13: You often give up access to jobs and services, education.
- 37:13Speaker 13: And so, again, there's a price to pay. And so
- 37:15Speaker 13: Bible League has provided church planter training, not only because
- 37:19Speaker 13: it's the right thing to do. It's absolutely necessary as
- 37:22Speaker 13: people come to saving faith. There's a temptation to want
- 37:25Speaker 13: to blend sort of their old religion with the precious gospel.
- 37:29Speaker 13: My colleague Jason was in Ghana, Africa, has this to
- 37:32Speaker 13: say about what he discovered on church planter training.
- 37:35Speaker 15: The importance of church planter training, it can be understated,
- 37:38Speaker 15: especially in places like Africa where syncretism, which is the
- 37:41Speaker 15: mixing of your old beliefs, your ancestral beliefs, with this
- 37:45Speaker 15: new introduction to Christianity. It's very easy to want to
- 37:49Speaker 15: hold on to both. And for people coming to Christ,
- 37:52Speaker 15: it's difficult to say, I'm going to do away with
- 37:55Speaker 15: everything that my family's done and totally embrace Christ.
- 37:58Speaker 13: Yeah, he's talking about Ghana, Africa specifically. It's a Francophone country.
- 38:02Speaker 13: That's where French is spoken more and more. But Pastor Tomas,
- 38:06Speaker 13: not only an ordained pastor, Kevin, he's a licensed snake handler.
- 38:10Speaker 13: He risks his own safety to capture reticulated pythons. It's
- 38:14Speaker 13: an interesting element to the story. I took some Salem
- 38:18Speaker 13: host to Indonesia, I don't know, several years ago. You
- 38:20Speaker 13: were on that list. You politely declined. The timing wasn't right.
- 38:23Speaker 13: But You know, a week before we left, a reticulated
- 38:26Speaker 13: python actually swallowed an elderly woman whole. I mean, this
- 38:31Speaker 13: is the realm of this pastor, oddly enough, right? Rescuing
- 38:35Speaker 13: reticulated pythons from harming people. But anyway, he's also a
- 38:40Speaker 13: church planter. And again, he's in a part of Africa, again,
- 38:43Speaker 13: where there's a blending of the syncretism where people take.
- 38:48Speaker 13: different elements of their past religion. They're tempted to carry
- 38:51Speaker 13: that on into their walk with the Lord. And again,
- 38:54Speaker 13: Bible League is there to provide good direction for these congregations.
- 38:59Speaker 13: He was tortured by the Islamic State there, but he
- 39:02Speaker 13: is focused on following Jesus. Raya is widowed, 40s, works
- 39:05Speaker 13: on a cassava farm, praying for a Bible. Then Kofi
- 39:08Speaker 13: is 18, a brand new believer, a former jihadist tied
- 39:11Speaker 13: to Al-Qaeda. He's from the Ivory Coast now in the
- 39:15Speaker 13: country of Ghana.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Kevin, God's at.
- 39:16Speaker 13: Work in his world through his word. And from wherever
- 39:19Speaker 13: he has you listening today, you get to be a
- 39:21Speaker 13: part of this at only $ 5 a Bible.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Friends, it makes such a difference when you're talking about
- 39:27Speaker 2: the spiritual investment of God. these dollars. You literally give
- 39:33Speaker 2: a Bible, and over the course of the Bible League's history,
- 39:37Speaker 2: they have tracked this. And this is a conservative, reliable
- 39:40Speaker 2: number that they're able to use with integrity. But 12
- 39:43Speaker 2: people come to faith in Jesus because of that Bible
- 39:46Speaker 2: that's given. And right now, because through the end of
- 39:50Speaker 2: this hour, every gift is doubled, that means you could
- 39:53Speaker 2: do double the number of Bibles you think you can
- 39:55Speaker 2: just for giving them right now and multiply that times 12.
- 39:59Speaker 2: And now you have the total number of people on
- 40:03Speaker 2: the conservative side that you're going to reach with the
- 40:05Speaker 2: gospel in the very near future.
- 40:07Speaker 11: 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673.
- 40:13Speaker 2: And just imagine the encouragement that's going to be. Imagine
- 40:16Speaker 2: the freedom that's going to come with people finding Jesus
- 40:19Speaker 2: and knowing that their life is forever changed. 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673,

- 40:44Speaker 16: We don't have.
- 40:45Speaker 1: That, so we have That Kevin Show.
- 41:13Speaker 7: Featuring the music of Dick Tunney and the Dream.
- 41:16Speaker 1: In Color Orchestra.
- 41:27Speaker 7: Straight ahead, everything you need to know about the top
- 41:30Speaker 7: headlines of the day and a perspective that will give
- 41:33Speaker 7: you some eternity to it. Plus, practical tips for family life,
- 41:39Speaker 7: spiritual life, and good old regular life.
- 41:43Speaker 1: It's Kevin McCullough, Monday through Friday, on That Kevin Show.
- 41:54Speaker 7: And now, from the Connors & Sullivan Broadcast Studios, the
- 41:58Speaker 7: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 42:01Speaker 7: is way grateful that he's not who he used to be, here's.
- 42:10Speaker 8: Welcome back.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough, glad you're with us. Hour number two as
- 42:14Speaker 2: we are kicking off the second hour on this Tuesday
- 42:16Speaker 2: edition and yet to come. We've got Rear Admiral Peter
- 42:20Speaker 2: Brown going to be with us. KT McFarlane, former Pentagon official,
- 42:22Speaker 2: will be with us a little bit later on in
- 42:23Speaker 2: the hour as well. So much to get to. But friends,
- 42:26Speaker 2: I can't let go of this. We need your help.
- 42:30Speaker 2: You've got to help us. You've got to help us
- 42:32Speaker 2: get Bibles to the Christians that are asking for them.
- 42:34Speaker 2: And so many of you helped us yesterday. 700 Bibles
- 42:37Speaker 2: in a single day. Going to people that don't have
- 42:41Speaker 2: them and want them desperately. Michael Woolworth is back with
- 42:44Speaker 2: me checking in from the Bible League HQ, the big
- 42:47Speaker 2: international headquarters just outside Chicago, where for 88 years, Michael,
- 42:52Speaker 2: you guys have been helping people get scriptures that didn't
- 42:55Speaker 2: have any other access to them.
- 42:56Speaker 13: Well, and to think that, you know, this station, you know,
- 42:59Speaker 13: this Kevin show, that Kevin show has been with us
- 43:01Speaker 13: for what, more than 30 years, right? Right there, sending out,
- 43:07Speaker 13: you know, the clarion call to be a part of
- 43:09Speaker 13: what God is doing in his world through his words.
- 43:11Speaker 13: So Kevin, I can't thank you enough. But yeah, we
- 43:13Speaker 13: have come so far. We, you know, we started at zero.
- 43:16Speaker 13: We were looking at a big old goose egg, right?
- 43:18Speaker 13: Thousands of Bibles have been sent to this point. We're
- 43:20Speaker 13: down to the final 2,500. Kevin, that's doable. But the
- 43:24Speaker 13: problem is, We're running out of the month of September, right?
- 43:26Speaker 13: We're officially done on Sunday. We're going to close the
- 43:28Speaker 13: books on Monday. We'll rejoice in whatever God does through
- 43:32Speaker 13: listeners to that Kevin show. But again, we're so close
- 43:35Speaker 13: to getting this goal met. Kevin, I know it's a
- 43:38Speaker 13: little too soon to be talking about Christmas, but I
- 43:40Speaker 13: think we're like 90 something days away.
- 43:42Speaker 8: But Kevin, I'm a little giddy.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Don't let that stop you.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Go ahead and bring it up because I know my
- 43:48Speaker 2: kids are thinking about it already.
- 43:49Speaker 13: I got to get the jump on this. But, you know,
- 43:51Speaker 13: I think about the believers we're talking about, people that
- 43:53Speaker 13: have never read a single verse in their own Bible
- 43:55Speaker 13: this year. reading for themselves the precious Christmas story.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Why?
- 43:59Speaker 13: Because this listening family chooses to get involved. You know,
- 44:03Speaker 13: we shared this clip earlier from Ming, this former Zen Buddhist, right,
- 44:08Speaker 13: near Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. You know, he
- 44:10Speaker 13: told me, he said, Michael, I lost 100 family members
- 44:13Speaker 13: to the Vietnam War. He said some of those were civilians,
- 44:16Speaker 13: some were soldiers. But to counter that, God is so good.
- 44:20Speaker 13: This man has led about 100 people to Christ in
- 44:22Speaker 13: his small remote village in this communist country that only recently, Kevin,
- 44:27Speaker 13: began opening the door to the gospel, as he said
- 44:30Speaker 13: in that clip. You know, he likens the Bible to
- 44:32Speaker 13: want a map. When you've got a map, you can
- 44:35Speaker 13: find your way, right, when.
- 44:36Speaker 8: You have a Bible.
- 44:37Speaker 13: You're driven to truth, right? And again, this is a
- 44:40Speaker 13: man who's on fire for Jesus. Kevin, you and I
- 44:44Speaker 13: in the day-to-day, it doesn't matter if you're in greater
- 44:46Speaker 13: New York City, somewhere around the U.S. or, you know,
- 44:48Speaker 13: in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, You need to be
- 44:51Speaker 13: able to open the Bible, to be reminded that God
- 44:54Speaker 13: knows you intimately, to claim for yourself those precious promises
- 44:58Speaker 13: that are there in the day-to-day. If you're anxious, what
- 45:01Speaker 13: do you do? You read Psalm 48, right? In your peace,
- 45:04Speaker 13: I will live. You know, if you're tired, Isaiah 40
- 45:07Speaker 13: says what? He gives power to the weak and strength
- 45:09Speaker 13: to the powerless. If you're lonely, go to Psalm 73. Lord,
- 45:13Speaker 13: I belong to you. You hold my hand, right? If
- 45:15Speaker 13: you need wisdom, right? Psalm 25 says, Lord, show me
- 45:19Speaker 13: the right path. If You're feeling unloved, right? Zephaniah 3
- 45:22Speaker 13: says what? God delights in you with gladness. He rejoices
- 45:25Speaker 13: over you with joyful songs. You know, even just sharing
- 45:28Speaker 13: those few verses, Kevin, they're sort of, I feel an
- 45:31Speaker 13: infusion of grace in my soul, right? And again, the
- 45:34Speaker 13: Christians that we're talking about today have never read a
- 45:36Speaker 13: single verse in their own Bible, but enter this listening family.
- 45:40Speaker 13: And again, call by call, click by click, we've seen
- 45:42Speaker 13: it happen for thousands upon thousands. We're down to the
- 45:45Speaker 13: final 2,500, but I'd love for you to hear this
- 45:47Speaker 13: clip from Anismo, my partner in the country of Zimbabwe, Africa.
- 45:53Speaker 13: I assure you, he does not exaggerate the truth that
- 45:55Speaker 13: he finds relations to Bibles and Christians in his native Zimbabwe.
- 46:00Speaker 17: There is a huge Bible gap here in Zimbabwe. Some
- 46:06Speaker 17: churches in the rural areas, you will find that you
- 46:09Speaker 17: get to a church where.
- 46:10Speaker 6: There are about 200 members.
- 46:13Speaker 17: And in that church, you only find one person with
- 46:17Speaker 17: one Bible. So you can say in that church, the
- 46:20Speaker 17: ratio is one to 200.
- 46:21Speaker 9: Wow.
- 46:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:23Speaker 8: Anismo.
- 46:24Speaker 13: Again, not exaggerating the truth. A lot of times, Kevin,
- 46:27Speaker 13: the pastor is the only one. to have a Bible
- 46:29Speaker 13: in a congregation. I have preached. I've been a guest
- 46:32Speaker 13: preacher in some churches. I realized the pastor, again, was
- 46:35Speaker 13: the only one with a Bible. You know, one of
- 46:37Speaker 13: the pastor's roles is what? Turn his congregation into faithful Bereans. Listen,
- 46:42Speaker 13: when you've got a congregation with the precious Word of God,
- 46:45Speaker 13: you can turn them into faithful Bereans. Kevin, that's what
- 46:48Speaker 13: we're doing today. Thousands of Bibles have been sent. We've
- 46:51Speaker 13: got the remaining 2,500. We're officially done Sunday. We're praying
- 46:54Speaker 13: that we can get across the finish line together.
- 46:59Speaker 3: 800-937-9673.
- 46:59Speaker 2: 800-937-9673 is how you give. You can also give online
- 47:05Speaker 2: at thatkevinshow.com. Click the big yellow banner there at the
- 47:08Speaker 2: top of the page. And every gift down the stretch
- 47:11Speaker 2: here as we're rounding out, we have 2,500 Bibles to go.
- 47:15Speaker 2: Every gift will be matched Bible for Bible. Please help
- 47:18Speaker 2: us right now.
- 47:20Speaker 13: And let me say thanks to Yvonne of Brooklyn. She said,
- 47:22Speaker 13: I'm in at 20 Bibles. Gloria of Omaha, Nebraska said, Michael, Kevin,
- 47:26Speaker 13: count me in. $ 200 for 40 Bibles. And then Patrick
- 47:29Speaker 13: of Yonker said, I want to be a part of this,
- 47:31Speaker 13: a $ 500 gift to take care of filling the empty
- 47:34Speaker 13: waiting hands of 100 believers that we know by name
- 47:38Speaker 13: at Bible League. And then, Kevin, you've got this clip.
- 47:40Speaker 13: I love Inga. She is in the country of Armenia
- 47:42Speaker 13: in Europe. has a very profound statement to say about
- 47:46Speaker 13: the Bible being the spiritual nourishment that every believer, regardless
- 47:50Speaker 13: of where you live, absolutely needs.
- 47:53Speaker 18: Such a privilege and honor to know the Lord and
- 47:56Speaker 18: the Lord has chosen us to have time and to
- 47:59Speaker 18: serve and to work with. We know how Bible value
- 48:03Speaker 18: to us because that's how we grow, because that's our
- 48:06Speaker 18: spiritual food.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Without a Bible, like without food.
- 48:10Speaker 13: I love the analogy, right? I mean, Kevin, if we
- 48:12Speaker 13: were tackling human hunger today. If you don't eat, you
- 48:16Speaker 13: eventually what? Starve to death.
- 48:17Speaker 9: Right.
- 48:17Speaker 13: I don't think it's a stretch when you talk about
- 48:20Speaker 13: believers around the world denied access to God's word. Really,
- 48:23Speaker 13: in a real sense, are spiritually malnourished.
- 48:26Speaker 7: Right.
- 48:26Speaker 13: So, again, if you're maybe enjoying a meal today or tonight, whatever,
- 48:30Speaker 13: think about the nourishment that comes from that. And then
- 48:33Speaker 13: the spiritual nourishment that comes from the word of God.
- 48:35Speaker 13: It'd be great for you to go home tonight over
- 48:37Speaker 13: your family dinner and say, look, we provided food. Bibles,
- 48:40Speaker 13: part of the That Kevin Show listening family. We're helping
- 48:44Speaker 13: to get the goal met. Join people like, again, Patrick, Gloria, Yvonne,
- 48:49Speaker 13: we mentioned Tony, Maria, and Don earlier, all getting involved. Kevin,
- 48:53Speaker 13: we've got 2,500 Bibles to go. We're officially done on Monday.
- 48:58Speaker 13: We'll tally up whatever God has done through this listening family.
- 49:01Speaker 13: But I can tell you as the eyes and ears
- 49:03Speaker 13: of Bible League, it is always a joy to circle
- 49:05Speaker 13: back to these waiting believers and let them know the
- 49:08Speaker 13: Bibles you're praying for. They're coming.
- 49:10Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 49:11Speaker 2: And last year, by the way, 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673. You can
- 49:14Speaker 2: never out.
- 49:20Speaker 8: Give God.
- 49:20Speaker 2: I'm not saying God's going to give you a Ferrari
- 49:22Speaker 2: or a mansion or anything like that. But if you
- 49:25Speaker 2: are giving into his work, into the lives of these
- 49:28Speaker 2: believers that are spiritually hungry, but immature, they need Bibles
- 49:33Speaker 2: to help mature them. You are actually doing something that
- 49:36Speaker 2: goes far beyond just the physical. So what what God
- 49:41Speaker 2: says to you is, OK, if you do that, I'm
- 49:43Speaker 2: going to see to it that you're taken care of.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I'm going to see to it that your spiritual needs
- 49:47Speaker 2: are taken care of. I'm going to see to it.
- 49:48Speaker 2: And I can say in my own life, friends, when
- 49:51Speaker 2: I've wrestled with, you know, Lord, do you want me
- 49:54Speaker 2: to be involved in this? Is this something I should be?
- 49:56Speaker 2: And I'm not called to be involved in everything. And
- 49:59Speaker 2: maybe you're not called to be involved in everything either.
- 50:01Speaker 2: That's OK.
- 50:02Speaker 9: OK.
- 50:03Speaker 2: I'm just talking to the people that are, the people
- 50:06Speaker 2: that already know the stories you've heard on this show
- 50:08Speaker 2: over the last six weeks. You know from what we've
- 50:13Speaker 2: been able to demonstrate to you, where that money's going,
- 50:16Speaker 2: what it does when it turns into a Bible, what
- 50:18Speaker 2: the Bible does when it gets into the hands of
- 50:20Speaker 2: the community, what happens in the hearts of the people
- 50:23Speaker 2: that are living in that community, more people come to
- 50:25Speaker 2: faith in Jesus. That all makes sense and is all happening,
- 50:29Speaker 2: and it happens when you give.
- 50:30Speaker 9: 1-800-937-9673. 1-800-937-9673.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Every dollar being matched right now.
- 50:54Speaker 8: Here he is from New York, that Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Welcome back. Kevin McCullough, glad to have you with us. Thatkevinshow.com,
- 51:06Speaker 2: all new, reworked. You can find everything there on the homepage.
- 51:09Speaker 2: It's such a beautiful thing, and thank you for, again,
- 51:12Speaker 2: setting a new record for us in terms of traffic
- 51:15Speaker 2: in the last month. In August, we broke a new barrier,
- 51:18Speaker 2: so just keep seeing more and more people coming over there.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Maybe it's because they want to listen to the Tuesday
- 51:24Speaker 2: podcast with KT McFarlane. They always know that KT McFarlane
- 51:27Speaker 2: is going to be on the show. So they say, well,
- 51:28Speaker 2: I got to go over there and make sure I
- 51:30Speaker 2: get it. That's a good reason to go to thatkevinshow.com
- 51:33Speaker 2: and check it out. KT, not with us last week. She's,
- 51:37Speaker 2: you know, she's busy. She's got grandkids and she's, you know,
- 51:40Speaker 2: she's doing all the things, but she is back today.
- 51:44Speaker 2: And KT, I'm so glad that you are because the
- 51:46Speaker 2: first thing I thought On Friday afternoon at the end
- 51:49Speaker 2: of the news cycle, I don't know why they dumped
- 51:51Speaker 2: this that late into the news cycle in the week,
- 51:54Speaker 2: but Trump's getting everything he wanted out of the Greenland deal.
- 51:59Speaker 2: We don't have to buy Greenland from Denmark for it.
- 52:04Speaker 2: We actually got Denmark to wake up and say, oh,
- 52:06Speaker 2: maybe we should take care of our protectorate and do stuff.
- 52:09Speaker 2: And we get to launch the Golden Dome and help
- 52:12Speaker 2: keep all of Europe and all of North America safe.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Not a bad Friday for the president.
- 52:17Speaker 4: It is such a huge game changer. I agree with you.
- 52:22Speaker 16: I'm amazed that the administration didn't tout it more and
- 52:25Speaker 16: the media didn't analyze it better.
- 52:28Speaker 4: But it's a total game changer.
- 52:30Speaker 16: And it is such a Donald Trump classic art of
- 52:33Speaker 16: the deal negotiation. So if you read his book, The
- 52:36Speaker 16: Art of the Deal, you realize that he has a
- 52:38Speaker 16: certain pattern that he progresses with. Number one, open with
- 52:42Speaker 16: an outrageous demand. And then everybody gets all excited and
- 52:46Speaker 16: nervous and criticizes. And then he slowly but surely negotiates
- 52:51Speaker 16: backwards from his outrageous demand to, in the end, get
- 52:54Speaker 16: what he wanted in the first place. And everybody's happy.
- 52:57Speaker 16: So what happened with Denmark? He says, we have to
- 53:00Speaker 16: own Denmark. And we're going to invade Denmark to get
- 53:03Speaker 16: it if that's what happens.
- 53:04Speaker 2: Greenland, not Denmark.
- 53:06Speaker 4: Sorry, not Denmark. No, we're going to– yeah, exactly.
- 53:08Speaker 2: You don't want to give the king another heart attack.
- 53:10Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 53:13Speaker 16: Let's invade Greenland and steal it. And then, of course,
- 53:18Speaker 16: NATO went nuts. The media went nuts. The Trump duration
- 53:22Speaker 16: syndrome people went nuts. Everybody said Donald Trump's crazy. He's
- 53:25Speaker 16: going to invade Greenland. And so then some of the
- 53:28Speaker 16: NATO allies from France and Britain sent over, I think,
- 53:32Speaker 16: like two dozen military ski team people. To defend Greenland
- 53:39Speaker 16: from the American invasion that was happening.
- 53:41Speaker 4: Everybody goes nuts, nuts, nuts, nuts.
- 53:44Speaker 16: And so slowly but surely, President Trump walks back what
- 53:47Speaker 16: he wants. And so he gets the deal that he
- 53:49Speaker 16: wanted in the first place. He doesn't have to pay
- 53:52Speaker 16: anything for it.
- 53:52Speaker 4: What's the deal?
- 53:54Speaker 16: Number one, we get to use exclusive use of Greenland
- 53:58Speaker 16: as a military base.
- 54:00Speaker 4: We can put our bases there.
- 54:01Speaker 16: We don't have to ask permission from Denmark or Greenland
- 54:04Speaker 16: or anybody to use those bases, which we do have
- 54:07Speaker 16: to do when we're trying to use NATO bases in Europe.
- 54:11Speaker 16: Number two, we can develop their rare earth minerals and
- 54:16Speaker 16: oil and other natural resources.
- 54:18Speaker 4: We don't even know what's there. We know a lot's there,
- 54:19Speaker 4: but we don't know how to get it.
- 54:20Speaker 2: I was wondering if the rare earth component was included
- 54:24Speaker 2: in this because I had not seen the finished text.
- 54:25Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 54:27Speaker 16: Absolutely it is. And so that's included. And then the
- 54:30Speaker 16: next thing is maritime trade routes. So the Arctic, as
- 54:34Speaker 16: the Earth heats up, however you think it heats up,
- 54:37Speaker 16: it is. And so as the Arctic Circle melts, the
- 54:41Speaker 16: trade route, maritime trade route from Asia to North America,
- 54:46Speaker 16: to Europe, to other parts of Asia, that's going to
- 54:50Speaker 16: be the most important trade route. It's the shortest trade route,
- 54:53Speaker 16: you know, much shorter than going across the Atlantic or
- 54:55Speaker 16: the Pacific.
- 54:56Speaker 9: So.
- 54:57Speaker 16: Whoever dominates that trade route is going to be in
- 55:00Speaker 16: a very important position going forward. And it's now going
- 55:03Speaker 16: to be us because between Alaska, hopefully Canada, and then Greenland,
- 55:08Speaker 16: we then control the Arctic Circle maritime trade route. And
- 55:12Speaker 16: so we get all these good things. Now, in addition
- 55:14Speaker 16: to that, there's underwater cables. It's a major communications hub
- 55:17Speaker 16: to go, again, the same way maritime trade. It'll be communications,
- 55:21Speaker 16: the undersea cables. We're going to dominate those. And then
- 55:24Speaker 16: the best part of all is that China and Russia
- 55:28Speaker 16: are aced out. They can't do any of these things.
- 55:30Speaker 16: They can't put bases there. They can't develop the raw
- 55:33Speaker 16: materials into rare earth minerals or oil. They can't do
- 55:37Speaker 16: any of that stuff. They can't even step foot. in
- 55:40Speaker 16: Greenland without our permission.
- 55:42Speaker 4: And what happens?
- 55:43Speaker 16: President Trump gets Denmark to think it's a great deal.
- 55:47Speaker 16: You know, America didn't invade. Gets Greenland to think it's
- 55:50Speaker 16: a great deal. We're going to get a lot of
- 55:52Speaker 16: job opportunities from America. The American taxpayer, we don't have
- 55:56Speaker 16: to pay for it. It is just a win, win, win,
- 55:59Speaker 16: win all the way along. And then the cherry on top.
- 56:02Speaker 16: is that Xi Jinping is coming to Washington, D.C. to
- 56:06Speaker 16: meet with President Trump tomorrow on Wednesday. So having just
- 56:10Speaker 16: been edged out of all of the Greenland operations, all
- 56:15Speaker 16: of the Arctic operations, Xi Jinping is going to have
- 56:18Speaker 16: to come to the White House and eat humble pie.
- 56:20Speaker 2: I documented it. I put it in my column yesterday
- 56:22Speaker 2: at Town Hall. And I was thinking, well, what else
- 56:25Speaker 2: is underway right now that he's operating this way that
- 56:27Speaker 2: I haven't seen through and figured it out? And I'm
- 56:30Speaker 2: even wondering if maybe the expulsion of CNN from the
- 56:33Speaker 2: White House press corps isn't a bigger long play to
- 56:38Speaker 2: get them to just say, OK, we will be more fair.
- 56:41Speaker 2: And ultimately, the rule for how people operate in terms
- 56:47Speaker 2: of the press circles within the White House will be
- 56:50Speaker 2: we're going to tell the truth, you know, minimum responsibility,
- 56:54Speaker 2: tell the truth and it will it will work out better.
- 56:56Speaker 2: But he uses this pattern over and over and over again.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Idea of a big action, much more bold and kind
- 57:03Speaker 2: of brash than is necessary. And then after the exploding
- 57:10Speaker 2: heads all kind of stop, Marco Rubio and team go
- 57:14Speaker 2: into these private rooms starting in February and they pound
- 57:17Speaker 2: this thing out until.
- 57:18Speaker 5: It is perfected.
- 57:20Speaker 2: And I just think it just demonstrates that this man
- 57:23Speaker 2: never takes a minute off in thinking about the welfare
- 57:26Speaker 2: and the future of America, because KT, he's going to
- 57:29Speaker 2: be long out of office before the biggest impact of
- 57:33Speaker 2: a lot of this goes into effect. And he's not
- 57:37Speaker 2: doing it for people to be protected 12 months from now.
- 57:41Speaker 2: This is going to protect America for the next hundred years.
- 57:45Speaker 2: And at the end of that, We're going to have
- 57:47Speaker 2: a lot of generations that lived under a protection of
- 57:50Speaker 2: the Golden Dome and of freedom and of the rare
- 57:53Speaker 2: earths and the other stuff that it took someone thinking proactively,
- 57:57Speaker 2: not about themselves or their moment in time or their
- 57:59Speaker 2: next election or the next cycle that's in front of them.
- 58:02Speaker 2: It took someone who was thinking big term, long term
- 58:05Speaker 2: for America to really secure this. And that's what he did.
- 58:09Speaker 16: You know, if you were going to write a profile
- 58:11Speaker 16: and courage, it would be Donald Trump.
- 58:13Speaker 4: He could have gone for the cheap wins. He could
- 58:16Speaker 4: have done, you know, he could have couched out in Europe.
- 58:18Speaker 4: The small things, yeah. The little small things.
- 58:21Speaker 16: And frankly, with Iran, it's going to be tough because
- 58:24Speaker 16: gasoline prices have not yet started going down.
- 58:28Speaker 4: But he is playing the long game.
- 58:30Speaker 16: Somebody, a good mutual friend of ours once explained to me,
- 58:33Speaker 16: he said, do you really want to understand Donald Trump?
- 58:35Speaker 16: Understand the mind of a builder. A building project, it
- 58:39Speaker 16: doesn't happen overnight. It's a 30-year project. You have to
- 58:44Speaker 16: buy the land. You have to secure the rights. You
- 58:47Speaker 16: have to get the workers. You have to get the
- 58:49Speaker 16: raw materials. And you don't think about it as a
- 58:53Speaker 16: short-term win. It's probably a short-term loss to get the
- 58:57Speaker 16: long-term win. And I've got to credit President Trump with
- 59:00Speaker 16: enormous personal courage to avoid the quick, easy, cheap win.
- 59:05Speaker 16: That's a Joe Biden thing, right? Cheap, easy win to
- 59:09Speaker 16: get reelected. Donald Trump is doing it for the long-term
- 59:12Speaker 16: health of the country, peace and prosperity of America. So
- 59:15Speaker 16: even though I've known him for a long time, I've
- 59:17Speaker 16: worked for him very closely in his first term, my
- 59:20Speaker 16: respect for him has grown enormously to see what a
- 59:24Speaker 16: leader he has become.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think that the history.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Will be very different in terms of how they view
- 59:32Speaker 2: those accomplishments than what the editorial pages of the New
- 59:36Speaker 2: York Times or the primetime lineup of CNN have to
- 59:39Speaker 2: say about it. I am curious, KT, Fox News and
- 59:44Speaker 2: even Talkers magazine and some of the others came out
- 59:47Speaker 2: and stood in solidarity with CNN yesterday. Did you have
- 59:50Speaker 2: any thoughts on what happened there?
- 59:53Speaker 16: No, but I do think that President Trump has a
- 59:55Speaker 16: point of the fake news.
- 59:56Speaker 4: And Bobby Kennedy... Jr.
- 59:58Speaker 16: Said it best at the last cabinet meeting. He said
- 1:00:01Speaker 16: that he's watched his uncle, John F.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: Kennedy.
- 1:00:05Speaker 16: He's watched his whole family's been in politics their whole lives.
- 1:00:09Speaker 16: And he said he's never seen such a hostile and
- 1:00:12Speaker 16: unfair press coverage of any political leader in the history
- 1:00:15Speaker 16: of the country. And when President Trump has banned Those
- 1:00:19Speaker 16: news organizations, he has every right to do it and
- 1:00:23Speaker 16: to ban them for fake news where they're obviously lying
- 1:00:26Speaker 16: and they're lying because it's clickbait for them. And to say, OK, guys,
- 1:00:31Speaker 16: you know, we're not going to put up with this,
- 1:00:33Speaker 16: I think is a really important lay down the law.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: What will happen as a result?
- 1:00:38Speaker 16: If you're not in the White House press briefing, you're
- 1:00:40Speaker 16: not answering, you're not asking those questions. You're not on
- 1:00:43Speaker 16: the air. You've got a report from like across the
- 1:00:45Speaker 16: street from.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: The White House. You're going to lose viewers.
- 1:00:48Speaker 16: Viewers are going to turn to other channels which do
- 1:00:50Speaker 16: have reporters in the room. And if you start losing viewers,
- 1:00:53Speaker 16: you start losing advertisers. You lose the bottom line. So
- 1:00:57Speaker 16: there will be a price to be paid for the
- 1:01:00Speaker 16: fake news.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: News people.
- 1:01:01Speaker 16: And I think it'll have an effect on the people
- 1:01:04Speaker 16: who are still promoting sort of half fake news to
- 1:01:07Speaker 16: not promote fake news. And it will probably have an
- 1:01:10Speaker 16: effect on the networks that have been banned. Maybe they
- 1:01:12Speaker 16: change their lineup. I hope so, because fake news is
- 1:01:17Speaker 16: a real thing. And as we enter the age of AI,
- 1:01:19Speaker 16: AI plus the fake news, that's a bad combination. America's
- 1:01:22Speaker 16: got to get back to the truth.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Big time. Big time.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: All right, KT, good to have you back. We'll talk
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: to you again soon.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: Thank you. Talk to you next week.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough coming right back from New York. Don't go away.
- 1:01:33Speaker 10: Stick around for more of That Kevin next. Here he
- 1:01:55Speaker 10: is from New York, that Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Welcome back. It's That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com. And again, thank
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: you to Admiral Brown for being with us, KT McFarlane
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: this hour. Also back with us is Michael Woolworth, who's
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: checking in once again from HQ in Bible League country.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: And Michael, before we do anything else, let's just say
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: thank you to some people that have heard the call
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: and have said, I've got to be involved in getting
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: Bibles to Christians who desperately need them.
- 1:02:26Speaker 13: Well, we added another 110 to the tally because of
- 1:02:29Speaker 13: people like Jose of Miami, Florida said, I'm in at
- 1:02:33Speaker 13: $ 300 for 60 Bibles. Rosemary of Federal Way, Washington said, Michael, Kevin,
- 1:02:37Speaker 13: count me in at 10 Bibles. Daniel of Southport, Connecticut said,
- 1:02:41Speaker 13: I want to be a part of this, a $ 200 gift.
- 1:02:43Speaker 13: for 40 Bibles. And then, Kevin, we're going to double
- 1:02:46Speaker 13: each of those because of a Bible for Bible match.
- 1:02:49Speaker 13: Friends of Bible League in another part of the country
- 1:02:51Speaker 13: that believe so strongly in what we're doing have said,
- 1:02:53Speaker 13: we're going to double every single gift. There's a limited window.
- 1:02:57Speaker 13: They want to put Bibles into as many waiting hands
- 1:03:00Speaker 13: as possible. And so thanks to Jose, Rosemary, Daniel, many
- 1:03:04Speaker 13: others that have gotten us to this point. Kevin, we've
- 1:03:06Speaker 13: got 2,500 Bibles to go. We've seen thousands sent to
- 1:03:10Speaker 13: this point. We're running out of the month of September.
- 1:03:13Speaker 13: So if you're waiting to hear it's the 11th hour,
- 1:03:15Speaker 13: let me throw this out. It's the 11th hour, folks, right?
- 1:03:18Speaker 13: It's the fourth quarter, right? We're down to like the
- 1:03:21Speaker 13: two-minute warning, right? If I can use some sports speak here.
- 1:03:25Speaker 13: But we're grateful to be at this point, Kevin. I'm
- 1:03:28Speaker 13: personally thankful that you share our enthusiasm and our burden.
- 1:03:31Speaker 13: to see these Bibles reach these waiting believers. And this
- 1:03:34Speaker 13: listening family, again, being incredibly generous. I know, you know,
- 1:03:37Speaker 13: gas is up, groceries still costing more and more, right?
- 1:03:41Speaker 13: But again, somewhere in your budget, you're finding a place,
- 1:03:45Speaker 13: a way to send Bibles even half a world away.
- 1:03:48Speaker 13: So I'm grateful for that. Again, we're down to the
- 1:03:50Speaker 13: final 2,500. We're officially done Sunday. We'll tally up whatever
- 1:03:55Speaker 13: God has done through listeners to that Kevin show. We'll
- 1:03:57Speaker 13: get these Bibles on their way. As I say, you know, Christmas,
- 1:04:00Speaker 13: only 90-something days away, and to think that this year,
- 1:04:03Speaker 13: these waiting believers who have gone without a Bible, some
- 1:04:06Speaker 13: of these for years, right, will be able to read
- 1:04:08Speaker 13: for themselves the precious Christmas story. But Kevin, we're grateful.
- 1:04:12Speaker 13: We're down to the final 2,500, believing we can get
- 1:04:15Speaker 13: it done in the coming days.
- 1:04:16Speaker 12: 1-800-937-9673.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: If you've not yet given, that is the number to
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: where you can. And again, as Michael said, we are
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: running out of time. The end of this week is
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: the end of the campaign. 2,500 Bibles to go. I
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: don't want us to get to Sunday night and go, oh,
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: we just missed it by like just a little bit. No,
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: I want us to get this done so that these
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: people that have been on this list and Bible League
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: knows every single person that's receiving a Bible because most
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: of them, more than 90% of them have been qualified
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: for a Bible because they've completed the Project Philip Bible
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Study program. that has been done in their area by
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: a local pastor with them. And because of that, they are,
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: they are asking for a Bible to continue to study with.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: And that's how they've been qualified for that. But they
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: know every single person. And what we're, what we're so
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: ecstatic about being able to do is, is we can
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: tell ministry leaders that are in these areas, many of
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: whom we've played you the story of who've said, I
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: need 30 Bibles here or 50 Bibles over there, or,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: you know, a thousand Bibles for this. What's the, Michael,
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: what's the, the tent city that is in the Middle
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: East where they literally have so many people that are there,
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: but they needed a thousand Bibles. That's because the gospel
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: is taking root in people's lives that are in hard places.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: But that's what we need. 800-937-9673, 800-937-9673. Yeah, man, Kevin.
- 1:05:43Speaker 13: We've shared the stories. I call these people heroes of
- 1:05:45Speaker 13: the faith, right? They're persecuted, often a singled out targeted
- 1:05:49Speaker 13: monitor because they bear the name of Jesus. They live remotely.
- 1:05:52Speaker 13: They live in extreme poverty. They're under the corruption. of
- 1:05:57Speaker 13: governments that fiercely oppose the gospel. But make no mistake,
- 1:06:01Speaker 13: what we're asking this listening family to do today is
- 1:06:04Speaker 13: no less important than what those people are doing on
- 1:06:07Speaker 13: the front lines. I'm going to take you to Afghanistan
- 1:06:09Speaker 13: here in a moment. But again, it's $ 5 a Bible.
- 1:06:12Speaker 13: Every gift will be doubled. We've got 2,500 Bibles left
- 1:06:16Speaker 13: to go. I want to tell you about a great
- 1:06:18Speaker 13: opportunity we have at Bible League to minister within the
- 1:06:20Speaker 13: walls of Afghanistan. But when I look at the Middle East,
- 1:06:24Speaker 13: There is a disturbing trend that's happening there. Persecution is
- 1:06:28Speaker 13: on the increase, especially among Christian clergy. This is my
- 1:06:32Speaker 13: colleague Yazan, and he is in the Middle East.
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: I met a pastor.
- 1:06:36Speaker 19: He was kidnapped and threatened to be killed. His freedom
- 1:06:42Speaker 19: was as easy as for him not to confess that
- 1:06:48Speaker 19: he follows Christ.
- 1:06:49Speaker 9: Of course, he.
- 1:06:50Speaker 19: Chose not to, and Yeah, that's what's happening. Persecution is
- 1:06:55Speaker 19: on the increase. Christians are suffering terribly.
- 1:07:08Speaker 13: In a country like Afghanistan, if they merely suspect that
- 1:07:12Speaker 13: you're a Christian, they can throw you in jail, they
- 1:07:14Speaker 13: can beat you. That happened to a man by the
- 1:07:17Speaker 13: name of Yusef, a cobbler in Pakistan, who goes back
- 1:07:20Speaker 13: and forth between those countries. When he became a believer
- 1:07:24Speaker 13: after attending a small Bible study in his village, his
- 1:07:28Speaker 13: entire family shunned him, turned him into the authorities. He's
- 1:07:31Speaker 13: been beaten, he's been jailed. But Kevin, more than anything,
- 1:07:34Speaker 13: he's awaiting his very first Bible in the Urdu language.
- 1:07:37Speaker 13: And so That's why we're doing this kingdom business. Again,
- 1:07:40Speaker 13: I know it's tempting to think, what will my $ 5
- 1:07:43Speaker 13: Bible do in this great big world? But to a
- 1:07:45Speaker 13: man like Yusef, who's been shunned by his family, needing
- 1:07:49Speaker 13: to be reminded that God is there. Listen, that $ 5 Bible,
- 1:07:52Speaker 13: that's a lifeline that will give him the encouragement to persevere.
- 1:07:56Speaker 13: And again, Kevin, that's why we're here doing this kingdom business.
- 1:07:58Speaker 11: 800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: You can also give online at That Kevin show dot com.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: There's a big yellow banner on the homepage. It says
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: be a joy maker. Click that. You'll see a woman
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: who is ecstatic that she has a new Bible, an
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: actual Bible League recipient. Click on that banner. Punch through
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: a couple of minutes. But friends, we're running out of time.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: And every Bible you give is going to be matched.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Every dollar you give is going to be matched. We
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: need your help. We have limited days left. And we
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: don't want to leave anyone behind. 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, or go
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: to thatkevinshow.com.
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: Here he is from New York. That Kevin.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: Kevin.
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: McCullough.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: All right, welcome back. It is That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Glad to have you with us and glad to be
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: rejoined by the senior pastor at the Christian Cultural Center
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: out of Brooklyn, New York, Pastor Jamal Bernard. You may
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: know the name CCC, even if you're in Anchorage, Alaska
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: or Miami, Florida this afternoon, but you probably previously associated
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: it with his father, Dr.
- 1:09:31Speaker 9: A.R.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: Bernard, who was deeply respected in that position and well
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: beloved by the church community and is now doing exciting
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: other things post full-time pastoring. And Jamal has received the
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: mantle and doing a great job. And Jamal, we've, we've
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: had a chance to be together at a couple of events.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: I was at your, um, your golf outing recently, and
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: you just had your leadership summit and you've got your
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: enough women's conference that has be coming up again in
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: the next year. And we're just looking forward to all these, uh,
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: times to be able to work together and so forth.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: But you wrote a book that's just brand new and
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: it takes on a topic that I think is of
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: great interest. Tell us a little bit about, uh, the
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: weight of the name.
- 1:10:15Speaker 20: So it's a book I wrote and thank you for
- 1:10:17Speaker 20: having me.
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: It's always good hanging out with you, Kevin.
- 1:10:20Speaker 20: I always appreciate what you're doing, especially for the kingdom
- 1:10:23Speaker 20: of God.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: The Christian community.
- 1:10:26Speaker 20: But the weight of the name, it was, it just
- 1:10:29Speaker 20: ended up, it started out.
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: With one.
- 1:10:34Speaker 20: I just wanted to do a book about learning from
- 1:10:37Speaker 20: lessons from my father.
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: You know, so the first, you know.
- 1:10:40Speaker 20: Everybody's been asking me, what was it like getting prepared
- 1:10:43Speaker 20: and things like that? I said, okay, well, let me,
- 1:10:45Speaker 20: I should just put it down. So I was like, okay,
- 1:10:47Speaker 20: this is my father, but I still do my mother.
- 1:10:49Speaker 20: And I said, okay, that's not the best of names.
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: It's too long.
- 1:10:52Speaker 20: So I said, I ended up with the weight of
- 1:10:53Speaker 20: the name and understanding that, you know, the weight of
- 1:10:56Speaker 20: the name is, is so it's multifaceted.
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: It is one.
- 1:11:01Speaker 20: We just talked about the weight of being a Bernard
- 1:11:04Speaker 20: and what I went through, uh, you know, with that.
- 1:11:07Speaker 20: And then, um, also the weight of God's name, right?
- 1:11:11Speaker 20: It is this power saying this, the name of Jesus, uh,
- 1:11:14Speaker 20: with different things. So it was just a play of words,
- 1:11:17Speaker 20: and it was just a great title.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Well, it's interesting because I can imagine that following in
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: the footsteps of a father who had such a story,
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: and if people are new to the show, they probably
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: don't know. Your dad's been on with me many times,
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: but his life before becoming a Christian had a certain
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: rhythm and tone to it, and let's just say it
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: ran in a different direction than And then his life
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: after becoming a believer and then his life in becoming
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: a pastor and someone who was serving a community and
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: really took that charge very seriously. It's just an incredible
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: legacy that he left to you and the other kids.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: But it's also something that you're probably tempted to measure
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: yourself against. And other people are tempted to measure you
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: against it because that's how people are. We're just, you know,
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: we're that shallow. well, this kid, how does he measure
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: up to dad? That's just the normal thing. But, and
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: then I was thinking, so that has to be an
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: interesting story in stepping out of his shadow and becoming
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: the senior pastor at the church that he built. But
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: then you just added on the real kind of, oh,
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: now that's the real heavy hitter, which is, are we
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: stepping into the weight of the name of Jesus when
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: we take on his identity? So, There's got to be
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: some layers of practicality here. How do you step into
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the name of an earthly legacy that one has left?
- 1:12:50Speaker 20: And that was the struggle, right? Because it was, he's
- 1:12:55Speaker 20: not like his father. And so my father became the
- 1:12:58Speaker 20: standard in the measuring machine. stick for me to be
- 1:13:02Speaker 20: able to minister and do what I do and do
- 1:13:05Speaker 20: with the reality. And I thank God for my father
- 1:13:07Speaker 20: and the way he mentored me. He said, my goal
- 1:13:10Speaker 20: is to make sure that you become the best Jamal
- 1:13:12Speaker 20: that you can be.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: CCC does not do another Dr. Bernard.
- 1:13:15Speaker 20: Jamal Bernard is good enough.
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: And I said, wow, that was a very freeing thing
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: that he did. Yeah.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: And I would imagine that that is encouraging people Because
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: your dad's still around, and I know he still comes
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: to worship services, and there's probably a temptation to want
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: to put some fingerprints on things. But the fact that
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: he has really empowered you and said, I believe in
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: you and want you to go for it. Make that
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: parallel now to our walk with Jesus. Like, we carry
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: the weight of his name with us everywhere we go.
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: Yeah, and so....
- 1:13:55Speaker 20: And on the cover of my book, it says, I
- 1:13:57Speaker 20: have the way to name, but I have a little
- 1:13:59Speaker 20: line that says, becoming the leader, your legacy requires. So
- 1:14:03Speaker 20: the question is, who do you have to become, right,
- 1:14:06Speaker 20: to represent one, because we're all receiving a legacy. We're
- 1:14:16Speaker 20: all standing on somebody else's shoulders, whether it's direct or indirect.
- 1:14:22Speaker 20: And the question is, what are you doing to help
- 1:14:25Speaker 20: steward that responsibility.
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: And then when you say, okay, look, I'm now I'm
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: going to say, I'm representing God, I'm representing Christ and culture.
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: What does that mean? What does that look like?
- 1:14:34Speaker 20: And who do you become as an individual to represent
- 1:14:37Speaker 20: Christ and culture? And that's why I was looking at, uh,
- 1:14:39Speaker 20: second Timothy chapter two, verse 15, and just understanding what, uh,
- 1:14:46Speaker 20: you know, Paul was saying to Timothy, uh, in that text.
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: And it's, it's, it's a very profound check.
- 1:14:52Speaker 20: It says, uh, uh, is study and show thyself approved
- 1:14:57Speaker 20: unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly
- 1:15:03Speaker 20: dividing the word of truth, right?
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: And so when we break.
- 1:15:07Speaker 20: That down, it's basically saying cultivate the individual because if
- 1:15:12Speaker 20: you're representing God, there's weight to that name, right? And
- 1:15:16Speaker 20: you have to be, often they say most atheists have
- 1:15:21Speaker 20: a problem with Christians because They know the scriptures, but
- 1:15:26Speaker 20: they have a hard time living it out. And that
- 1:15:28Speaker 20: becomes a tension that we deal with as Christians and
- 1:15:31Speaker 20: as believers.
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: And so there's a weight behind representing Christ.
- 1:15:34Speaker 20: And we have to understand that that is not something
- 1:15:37Speaker 20: that we typically do. But we have to really be
- 1:15:39Speaker 20: intentional about stewarding this reality.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: Well, and that is. You're correct. The Christian life is
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: not one of passivity, but it is of action. And
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: the action that we take is to steward the name
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: and mission of Jesus so that more people know him,
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: so that more people are introduced to the kingdom, so
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: that we have a greater unfolding of his purpose and
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: plan in the world around us. Friends, the book is
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: called The Weight of the Name. The author is Jamal
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: Bernard Sr., and I want you to get a copy
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: of it. He's also authored Unapologetic Christianity. and Battle Rhythm,
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: and I would encourage you to read those as well. Jamal,
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: always a pleasure to have you with us. Thanks for
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: being with us today.
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: You got it. Kevin McCullough coming right back from New York.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: Don't go anywhere.
- 1:16:33Speaker 8: Stick around for more of That Kevin next.
- 1:16:48Speaker 10: Serving it up with a no-drink minimum. It's That Kevin Show.
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: Welcome back. That Kevin Show. Thatkevinshow.com. And hello to those
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: of you in Anchorage and Columbus and Miami and San
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: Diego and Reno and Greenville for all the new listeners
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: that are joining us. Appreciate the fact that you are
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: with us today. Michael Woolworth, the fun part of this
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: is to see people respond and to know that those
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Bibles are going to go out.
- 1:17:23Speaker 13: Well, Kevin, praise God. All these, what do you got,
- 1:17:26Speaker 13: 400 new affiliates, right?
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: I mean, just.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Something along those lines.
- 1:17:30Speaker 13: Something along those lines. I mean, it makes sense when
- 1:17:32Speaker 13: I look at this list of people to think, okay,
- 1:17:35Speaker 13: you know, where'd these folks come from, right? Well, they're
- 1:17:37Speaker 13: part of this expansive listening family. Gregory of Bull Shoals,
- 1:17:43Speaker 13: Arkansas said, I'm in at 20 Bibles. Rhonda of Brooklyn said, Michael, Kevin,
- 1:17:47Speaker 13: count me in 10 Bibles. Nita listening in Louisiana today said,
- 1:17:51Speaker 13: I'm in, count me in. I want to be a
- 1:17:53Speaker 13: part of this. Again, we have a goal to bless
- 1:17:56Speaker 13: 10,800 waiting believers that we know by name at Bible League.
- 1:17:58Speaker 13: We're closing in on 2000. And again, we're there because
- 1:18:02Speaker 13: of people like Gregory, Rhonda and Nita, but keep us
- 1:18:05Speaker 13: moving forward today. I'd love to wrap up the hour today.
- 1:18:08Speaker 13: Maybe just talking about women. You know, we, Gosh, we've
- 1:18:12Speaker 13: reached 100 million people in the course of our nine
- 1:18:15Speaker 13: decades in ministry. Kevin, about 60% of those are women, right?
- 1:18:19Speaker 13: Most of those are women. I think of women in
- 1:18:21Speaker 13: the Bible. Sarah found out what? Nothing's too hard for God, right? Esther,
- 1:18:25Speaker 13: God can turn nobody into somebody. Rahab, your past doesn't matter.
- 1:18:29Speaker 13: God can use anyone. Hannah found out what? God answers.
- 1:18:33Speaker 13: And of course, Mary said, let it be to me
- 1:18:36Speaker 13: according to your word. And there's many other women there
- 1:18:40Speaker 13: in the Bible. You know, these two women are waiting
- 1:18:42Speaker 13: for Bibles today on the continent of Africa. This is
- 1:18:45Speaker 13: where Christianity is growing in the greatest numbers. Dali lost
- 1:18:48Speaker 13: her husband, son, and about 30 extended family members to
- 1:18:51Speaker 13: the Rwandan genocide 30 years ago. Today, she's a believer.
- 1:18:55Speaker 13: She's forgiven those who's murdered her family after reading the
- 1:18:58Speaker 13: words of Christ on the cross. 92 adults in her
- 1:19:02Speaker 13: village of 300 adults. Kevin, a third of those adults
- 1:19:06Speaker 13: are now following Jesus because they look at Dally, they
- 1:19:09Speaker 13: see the grace and the gumption in her life, and
- 1:19:11Speaker 13: they say, you know what?
- 1:19:12Speaker 8: I want that.
- 1:19:13Speaker 13: Lally's the former village witch doctor in Madagascar, became a
- 1:19:16Speaker 13: believer after somebody introduced her to the hope of the gospel.
- 1:19:21Speaker 13: She read the account of Zacchaeus in Luke 19. She's
- 1:19:23Speaker 13: led 200 families, 2,100 adults and children to him in
- 1:19:27Speaker 13: the remote rainforest area. of Madagascar, Africa, where no bookstores
- 1:19:32Speaker 13: or Amazon.com exist, right? But again, I want you to
- 1:19:35Speaker 13: hear the audio clip of people like Christine. God has
- 1:19:39Speaker 13: her situated there on the continent of Africa. I met
- 1:19:41Speaker 13: her when I was in Tanzania not too long ago.
- 1:19:44Speaker 13: What a beautiful spirit. I think you'll enjoy hearing this clip.
- 1:19:47Speaker 13: The woman is Christine. She's a follower of Christ, has
- 1:19:50Speaker 13: an incredible burden to reach women in that part of
- 1:19:53Speaker 13: the world.
- 1:19:55Speaker 21: First, I will introduce myself as Christine. I'm born again,
- 1:20:00Speaker 21: and I'm happy for the books that you have given us.
- 1:20:03Speaker 21: And the Bible has helped us to become women with
- 1:20:07Speaker 21: an empower. So we can teach the young women how
- 1:20:10Speaker 21: they can stay. Also, we can teach them to read
- 1:20:13Speaker 21: the Bible because that simple language for them to read.
- 1:20:16Speaker 21: We have Swahili Bible and also we have English Bible.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: So we are very happy, very happy.
- 1:20:24Speaker 21: And we are asking God to bless you as well
- 1:20:28Speaker 21: as us.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: It seems like she's truly thankful. And that's the response
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: every time a Bible League Bible hits the hands of
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: someone who's been wanting one. Like there's so much joy there.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: They may dance. They may say they're happy. They may cry,
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: but they're all, they're all experiencing joy.
- 1:20:45Speaker 13: Well, I witnessed somebody who would, who just clutched the Bible.
- 1:20:49Speaker 13: She held in her hands, the book that would tell
- 1:20:50Speaker 13: her about the God who loved her. And Kevin, I
- 1:20:53Speaker 13: was there in that room when she read her very
- 1:20:55Speaker 13: first scripture.
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: What was it?
- 1:20:57Speaker 13: It was, I'm a new creation in Christ. The old
- 1:20:59Speaker 13: is gone. The new has come. Hey, listen, that's thrilling
- 1:21:01Speaker 13: to be there when they read that very first scripture.
- 1:21:05Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: Uh, Friends, make the call 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, or go to thatkevinshow.com.
