Today's Daily Devotional examines the purpose and effect of Jesus' death and resurrection as regards mankind, clarifying that the gruesome death that Jesus had through crucifixion was not in vain but for the purpose of redeeming man from sin and death. The Devotional goes on to emphasize Jesus' desire for man's salvation and His call to all to come to Him, believing and not exercising unbelief, to receive the rest needed for their souls.
