- 0:22Wow, we're doing this live editing at the moment and.
- 0:26Obviously not seen that for a long time.
- 0:29No. I mean, I made it, but I haven't
- 0:31seen it. Yeah, So I'm, I'm happy Matt's
- 0:35done a lot of work. Like even though Osborne had
- 0:37found like Stream Yard and pay for it, I have no idea what it
- 0:40does. Yeah.
- 0:42No, that's very good with stuff like this.
- 0:44He is very good. Yeah.
- 0:45You know what's funny? I realized, sorry listeners,
- 0:48I'm. I'm losing my voice. 2 weeks
- 0:50ago. We didn't do the show because I
- 0:51was losing my voice, and I was. Determined you've got a germ
- 0:55factory in your house. That's right.
- 0:57Yeah. Determined not to do that again,
- 1:01I've realized there's a ghost in that intro.
- 1:05There it is. Ghost of a fourth podcast host
- 1:12because when it shows Matt, it's over the shoulder of a naked man
- 1:17who used to host this podcast. Who is that they could ban
- 1:22that's I wonder if you if they go pay people pay for the pay
- 1:28for like the Patreon is there's enough emphasize back where he's
- 1:33still there. Yeah.
- 1:37So I don't know when we called a lot of them.
- 1:39Yeah, that's true. I think.
- 1:40I think it was with us until about episode 80 and then joined
- 1:45us again for 100. 100 and then 100 was his last one, yeah, and
- 1:50I'm not sure we had enough to party then.
- 1:53No, I don't think we did. I don't think we did.
- 1:56But don't forget like join if you go to patreon.com/bolton
- 2:01Orgasm, you can join at Patreon and it can actually at any level
- 2:05get access to a discord server now.
- 2:08Yeah. Yeah, and assuming is how it
- 2:10works. Yeah.
- 2:11Look, we've had the discussion on and off over the years, over
- 2:14the almost 15 years that we've been doing this, whether to run
- 2:17ads and we just, we just don't want to do it.
- 2:20We just, we would know not to, but you know, to keep the, you
- 2:24know, pay for the, the server and all that stuff that we, you
- 2:28know, we do need some support and that's where the patrons
- 2:31come in. And because of them, it's free
- 2:33for everybody. Yep, because believe me, we're
- 2:36not making money off this. We are definitely in debt.
- 2:41No, we tried to do a Kickstarter once and we lost money on that
- 2:45because the. We didn't realize.
- 2:49Were more than we we had earned. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:53We're not businessmen. We are not.
- 2:55We need someone to be in charge of that and just handle that
- 2:58side of it. That's right.
- 3:00That's. Right.
- 3:01So if you're that person, I never.
- 3:02Run my own business. People always say, oh, I just
- 3:05want to be my own boss. I'm like, no, thank you.
- 3:07No, no, no, I hope. God no.
- 3:09Like if I wasn't with a lot of money, I wouldn't buy stuff and
- 3:12then hire someone to handle that stuff and then just let me know.
- 3:17Yeah, how much? I mean when I.
- 3:19When it looks like I'm starting to go broke.
- 3:21Yeah, well, a lot's been happening this week, sort of.
- 3:28I've seen a couple of things that I'm actually one thing I'm
- 3:31very excited about. Oh yeah.
- 3:36I'm going to jump straight in the Star Wars news.
- 3:38Yeah, let's do it. So for the 50th anniversary in
- 3:442027, we are going to get like the original.
- 3:50Yeah. I don't.
- 3:51Think of the original. Yeah.
- 3:53I don't think it's going to be like completely unedited enable
- 3:56restore. Yes, I think there's going to be
- 3:58some. Where there were changes made to
- 4:03what you would call the original right?
- 4:05Well, a New Hope. Yeah, exactly.
- 4:08It was originally Star Wars. It wasn't A New Hope.
- 4:10It wasn't Part 4. It.
- 4:12Was Star Wars I? Think there was a new audio mix
- 4:15somewhere? You know, somewhere between
- 4:17finishing the movie and handing it in and it becoming the most
- 4:20popular movie in the world. But you know, in that couple of
- 4:23months time they fixed a couple of things up.
- 4:26So I think it'll be that version, not the original
- 4:29original. But I'm I'm fine with that.
- 4:31It's still. I'm happy for that.
- 4:32Fucking Han's the only one who shoots that.
- 4:35I'm fine. Well, he will be in this
- 4:36version, Yeah, Yeah. So I'm super excited.
- 4:41We've got to wait two years for it, but yeah, 50th anniversary.
- 4:44But we get to see what started it all.
- 4:49Yeah, that's right. It's it's scary that Star Wars
- 4:53is almost 50 because it means that we're almost so almost 50.
- 4:57You. Know yes.
- 4:58Like a couple of years after Star Wars turns 50, we will also
- 5:01turn 50. Yes, because it was essentially,
- 5:04we didn't grow up watching this at the cinema.
- 5:08We grew up watching this on TV and it was something like our
- 5:12parents may have seen. And because I don't even think
- 5:1620th Century Fox thought this was going to be what it was.
- 5:20No. No one thought it was going to
- 5:22take off. By everyone else in town before
- 5:26that, and it was only Fox that said OK, we'll give you a go.
- 5:29And he didn't actually, I don't think he had a big budget for it
- 5:32either, which is where Industrial Lighting Magic was
- 5:36made like. Because he was doing everything
- 5:38in house, because he had to basically invent the
- 5:40technologies being made. For the film, yeah.
- 5:45Man, even as a kid I found the making of that movie just as
- 5:49interesting as the movie itself, you know?
- 5:51I think the best copy of the making of I was Returning to
- 5:55Jedi that I've seen. Yeah, that's the one that I I've
- 5:59still got VHS somewhere. Yeah.
- 6:01Do you have it? Oh nice.
- 6:02I think I still got it somewhere.
- 6:05It's I used to rent it. Yeah, and just the making of.
- 6:10Yeah. Wasn't the movie it was.
- 6:11Just footage of them. Footage of them fighting without
- 6:15the rotoscoping on the lightsabers.
- 6:17You know, just Yep, no effects. R2D2 just being a prick.
- 6:23Just just just work. Go straight.
- 6:26An interesting fact, you know that shot from New Hope on
- 6:31Tatooine where they're walking into Moss, Isley Cantina,
- 6:36they're walking towards the camera.
- 6:39It's it's the two humans, the two droids that Luke everyone,
- 6:43the two droids, they the camera that you see all for them.
- 6:48And then as they get closer, you just see the three that are
- 6:51taller, right? You don't see R2.
- 6:53Then the camera pans with them as they go to the door and you
- 6:57see little R2 going in. Once it becomes a long shot
- 6:59again, it's a different R22 in the other shot even though it's
- 7:04one shot continuous shot because they couldn't make him move fast
- 7:07enough to. Fast enough.
- 7:09Pace with them. So if you look, he's struggling
- 7:11behind them a little bit and then as it pans with them, he's
- 7:14right up there with him again. There's been a few times where
- 7:17he'll be like right behind C3PO and then C3PO will stop and then
- 7:22R2 just bang straight into the back of him.
- 7:26Yeah, yeah. It would have sucked to have
- 7:28been that, but Anthony Daniels has made a career out of.
- 7:32That one, mate. Yeah, yeah, you invite.
- 7:34Me. We could probably invite him on
- 7:36this show. Oh.
- 7:37Let's, let's do it if we can have him while he's still alive.
- 7:42I think he's got a while to go although.
- 7:44I hope so. Maybe not.
- 7:46Yeah, I don't know. I mean, he was quite.
- 7:48Star Wars is. 50 But that's fifty, yeah.
- 7:52Yeah, and he would have been at least in his 20s.
- 7:55So he's in his 70s now. That's right.
- 7:57Best. But no, you are right.
- 8:01It's scary that it's turning 50. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:07Oh, should we tell people Matt's not here?
- 8:09Oh yeah, Matt's not here. He's committing crimes in
- 8:12England. Yeah, some, some small crimes,
- 8:15yeah. Yeah, just a little bit of
- 8:17trespassing. Yeah, you know, you got to see
- 8:20the sights. You got to, you got to touch the
- 8:22sights. Yes.
- 8:24You know, if there's a fence up, what do you do?
- 8:26What do you do, man? You climb over it.
- 8:29Climb over the fence. Yeah, he will see it closer.
- 8:34Yeah, if you don't want us to cross barbed wire, Yeah.
- 8:39Yeah, if you didn't want me to touch it, don't let me touch it,
- 8:42you know what I'm saying? And also, it's a rock.
- 8:47Yeah, it is a rock. How it is a rock, Wolf.
- 8:53Get off Star Wars news. There's some other Star Wars
- 8:55news that I found quite interesting.
- 8:58Now I'm not, I'm not really an outdoorsy guy, so I don't really
- 9:01know the outdoors brand and Colombia.
- 9:10Oh, but I've seen the logo on cool local to me.
- 9:14Yeah, I'm just opening this up and.
- 9:18That's not me. I like, is it?
- 9:19Yeah, I closed it and there it goes back to normal.
- 9:24I clicked on this train 1 and it was no, just let me stay here
- 9:27and look at that. I could wear that outfit, I
- 9:29reckon. So this is this is this is the
- 9:35costumes from Endor the kind. Of yeah.
- 9:38The the cool jungle camo stuff. I just saw the price.
- 9:45Oh yes, and don't forget it's 15 American dollars too.
- 9:48Yeah. So like Leia's poncho is $400.00
- 9:57US. Yeah, right.
- 9:57That's. That's a lot.
- 9:59That's. A lot for a poncho lot.
- 10:01It's in your Han Solo trench coat 600.
- 10:04That's. Yes, 600 for a trench coat.
- 10:07I mean, a nice trench coat, maybe that's OK.
- 10:11And that's immediately what I thought of 220.
- 10:12Let's see. That'd be pretty.
- 10:15Cargo jobs. I wished I would release this
- 10:17stuff at like, sensible prices. Yeah, yeah.
- 10:21Yeah, well you need the Kmart versions of these.
- 10:24Yes. Well, I don't think necessarily
- 10:26Kmart, but just. Yeah, you know, or even if these
- 10:31same numbers, but this was Australian dollars, Australia.
- 10:33Yes. I see I'm not in A and I'm not
- 10:37in a time of my life when I can spend $600.00 on a jacket, but
- 10:40at least I could say, yeah, a good jacket is worth $600.
- 10:43Yeah, you can dress your daughter up as a knee walk
- 10:49though, but I can't find she has some that.
- 10:53Yeah that's that's true. I bet I can find.
- 10:57But if I can find a cheaper way to dress her up as an Ewok than
- 11:00than from this site. Although I don't like it, it
- 11:03says numb. Numb.
- 11:05It's Yub Yub. Yeah.
- 11:10I don't know why that keeps changing between people.
- 11:13Some people think it's dumb dub, some people think it's Yub Yub,
- 11:17and even on official stuff it changes.
- 11:20Yeah, yeah, that's, I mean, it's like the at thing, right?
- 11:24No, it's definitely at that. No, it's fucking not.
- 11:26No, it's not. George shut up, because then,
- 11:31then what is an ATST? Yeah.
- 11:33What's the AST? Yeah.
- 11:36Yeah, like all terrain arm and transport makes sense.
- 11:41Yeah, yeah, all trained Scout trooper makes sense.
- 11:48AST doesn't make sense. I played through the Return of
- 11:55the Jedi Amiga game a little while ago, just because I'm
- 12:00trying to. I'm trying to finish or at least
- 12:02get further in all the games that I sucked at as a kid.
- 12:06Yeah, and, and they were hard games.
- 12:08They were very they made them hard, so you got your money's
- 12:13worth. Because like that back in the
- 12:17days where you lose your lives, that's you go back to, you get a
- 12:21start. There's no checkpoints or you go
- 12:24back to start at that level. No, you start again.
- 12:27Every time you boot that game up, you boot up from level 1.
- 12:32But I've still got a lot of kind of good hand eye coordination
- 12:36for those games. I think I, I, I built a lot of
- 12:38muscle memory as like a 1011 year old.
- 12:41Yeah, still just with me. So I was, I was actually decent
- 12:44at it, decent at it. Didn't have to relearn the
- 12:46rules. Remembered something.
- 12:48Remembered my brain or my hands. Remembered.
- 12:51No, mine would not. Mine's lost it.
- 12:59I want the indoor issue cargo jacket.
- 13:01That's the one I want. What's the price?
- 13:052000. That's all right.
- 13:08That's all right, except when you remember it's US American.
- 13:12Dollars, yeah. It's like sometimes I'll see
- 13:17like Luke's jacket from like episode 1 and not, yeah, A New
- 13:22Hope. And I go, I want that jacket and
- 13:24it'll come up. And I go, oh, that's affordable
- 13:27until I realize, no, that's not in.
- 13:29Australia I I really like Pose Jacket from The Force Awakens.
- 13:34I love that one, and I do see that come up every once in a
- 13:38while for more than I'm willing to spend.
- 13:41Yes, yeah, when I was 25. 30 I would.
- 13:45I would have bought it in a heartbeat, Yeah.
- 13:47Of throwing money away back. Then yeah, now you've got like
- 13:50responsibilities as an adult. That's right.
- 13:53No. Yeah, couldn't, couldn't dream
- 13:56of it. If I had a.
- 13:58Jacket like that my family be like we hungry Papa for dinner.
- 14:04Nothing. Look at how good I look at this
- 14:06jacket. Yeah, exactly.
- 14:10So what else has been happening? Well, you did.
- 14:15You did mention something earlier in the day.
- 14:18It could be after party news though, but we do have a few.
- 14:21We do have a few corpses piling up to get through in the after
- 14:24party, so if we did so. We might just go with this now.
- 14:27We have spoken about her a lot. Funny blue.
- 14:31So she became famous for sleeping with like 1057 men in
- 14:3512 hours. Yeah, she's been arrested in
- 14:38Bali. Yeah, so she came to Australia
- 14:42for schoolies. And was kicked out.
- 14:45And was kicked out. Yeah, she then went to Bali,
- 14:49which arguably there's just as many Australians there as there
- 14:52are. Yeah.
- 14:53A lot of people go there for school lease as well and that's
- 14:55their full first trip away from my room and.
- 14:58That's right. And then she had a bang boss
- 15:00there. Yes she did.
- 15:03Yes she did. And it's just it's just dead set
- 15:07against the law there to film pornography.
- 15:10It's just it's not legal. Like why a lot of people do go
- 15:13to Bali for like sex tours and stuff.
- 15:17It's not legal, no. Especially filming porn.
- 15:22Yeah, yeah. And if it's just stimulating the
- 15:26local economy by visiting local establishments or something, I'm
- 15:31sure there's a certain amount of turning of blind.
- 15:34Eyes. Yeah, there's a when you
- 15:35describes happening in. Foreign, yeah.
- 15:39Yeah. We used to film commercials in
- 15:42places like the Philippines. We used to have to bribe like
- 15:45the mayor of small towns and stuff.
- 15:48Like, yeah, it's just how you do it.
- 15:50Like I can't imagine if you was this fucking blonde famous porn
- 15:54star just rocking up and thinking you can just do
- 15:57whatever you. Want do whatever you want
- 15:58because I know even in Vietnam actually saw like because
- 16:03they'll have like seats and tables sitting on the sidewalk,
- 16:06which isn't legal and every now and I was actually at one one
- 16:09night and I saw the police rock up and there was a conversation.
- 16:13Money changed hands and then they just left.
- 16:15There you go. They did move the tables back a
- 16:17little bit more, but right. But they didn't get taken away
- 16:20in handcuffs. Yeah, but this is no, you just
- 16:24rocked up. She hired a studio film camera
- 16:27so went out on the street, found barely 18 Australians and went
- 16:35let's go make a porno. So 14 of the Australians have
- 16:43been released. Yes Body Blue and three others
- 16:48are still in jail. Now they've taken the cameras
- 16:53and stuff as evidence. I just keep thinking of like
- 17:00Chappelle, Colby and the Bali 9, all of that stuff, and I know
- 17:03this isn't drugs. So I'm.
- 17:05I'm not expecting Bonnie Blue to get the death penalty, but she
- 17:08could. They could make an example of
- 17:10her, you know, like she could. She could stay in that jail.
- 17:14She. Could stay there for quite a few
- 17:15years because they've got a very strict moral, moral, moral.
- 17:21Say the word for me. Morality.
- 17:24Yeah, that's the one law and that's the one that she's
- 17:28definitely broken by. Just let's make pause.
- 17:32Especially since it's not like she was caught with a guy
- 17:35fucking 20 dudes like, you know what I mean?
- 17:37Like, like really laughing in the face of these obscenity
- 17:40laws. Yeah, like 20 guys, three
- 17:43cameras, camera, camera crew. I'm guessing like has a bus van
- 17:51called the Bang Boss. Yeah.
- 17:54Like I don't think her lawyers looked into this at all.
- 18:00Yeah, I think this was a really silly thing to do.
- 18:03And this could, this could just be the the surface, you know, of
- 18:06the iceberg. Yeah.
- 18:08Of how deep this is going to go, I don't know.
- 18:10But look, I'm not judging what they're doing, but whatever.
- 18:14But but do. It you got to do it.
- 18:17Jurisdiction where it's not against the law.
- 18:19Yeah, because I remember even though it was the time where
- 18:22there was a group of girls who went and filmed stuff in Dubai,
- 18:26right, And they took a photo of themselves at the window, all
- 18:30naked and stuff. Those were like, you're just
- 18:33asking for them to come and get you.
- 18:36Like it's it's not why you may think it's just funny because of
- 18:41the country you come from where it's all fine.
- 18:44These countries take it very seriously.
- 18:46Like you see, especially like Dubai, I'll say grape cases.
- 18:53If a woman reports it, she ends up in jail because she had
- 18:57premarital sex. Nothing happens to the guy,
- 19:01which doesn't don't make sense to me ever because he also had
- 19:07premarital sex. Yeah, but you got to be careful
- 19:12where you go. We.
- 19:13Understand. You really do.
- 19:15You really. Do and pay attention to the
- 19:17laws. Yeah, like, you know, if you
- 19:20like to drink, you like to do whatever, OK, fine.
- 19:22Just do it in places where it's like you don't go to Saudi
- 19:24Arabia and crack open a beer and expect to not get a, you know,
- 19:29your hand cut off or whatever. My guide in Vietnam and stuff,
- 19:32he was sort of saying like, if someone offers you something,
- 19:35don't buy it because he's been on tours where he's had to go
- 19:39and, like, bribe police to get people out because they they
- 19:44get, oh, you want some pot? Yeah, sure.
- 19:47And they were an undercover cop. Oh.
- 19:49For Christ's sake, yeah. And believe me, you get I got
- 19:53offered every drug under the sun in that country.
- 19:56Yeah, yeah. For a country that's strict on
- 19:59it, that's heroin, meth, cocaine, yeah.
- 20:04Right. Just.
- 20:05Everything was offered to me, you know, in Vietnam.
- 20:07Please leave me alone. Wow, that's too funny.
- 20:11Yeah, yeah, I've been to places like that too.
- 20:15We also went on a work trip to one of the Indonesian islands
- 20:20once and my my mate wanted to get some magic mushrooms so we
- 20:23asked around and then the guy came back with a whole bag and
- 20:28he was like no, no, no man. I mean like just for me, dude.
- 20:30Like not for fucking. I'm not going to.
- 20:32I'm not going to be passing this shit on.
- 20:36Because that the. Guy with the bag, just give him
- 20:38the money. And then just throw the rest
- 20:41away. Yeah, that's.
- 20:43Right. And keep what you want, because
- 20:46that's enough. To not put that in the bag if.
- 20:48You take all of that, that's trafficking amount and that gets
- 20:52you in a lot of trouble. Yeah, I don't.
- 20:54You don't. Want to be messing with that.
- 20:56I don't see how people take the risking countries that are so
- 20:59strict on it. Especially they're strict enough
- 21:02even with their locals, but you know, yeah, they're going to
- 21:05target foreigners because it's going to send the biggest
- 21:08message and don't do it. Because that's the stuff that
- 21:11comes back to like it's reported back in their home country.
- 21:15Yeah. Like these people were put to
- 21:18death. And we've had quite a few
- 21:19Australians put to death or life in jail.
- 21:23And I'll not want to be one of those Britons.
- 21:26No, there's very few prisons I do want to be in, and those are
- 21:30at the bottom of the list. Unless your family's rich.
- 21:37Right. Yeah, then maybe.
- 21:40Then they keep sending money in bribes and yeah, you have a sell
- 21:45to yourself and you'll have staff and.
- 21:48Yeah, the elsewhere in Indonesia several years ago, maybe 10
- 21:55years ago, the International School for Australian Kids and
- 22:00American Kids, that Western kids, four teachers just got
- 22:05randomly said that they had drugged and molested students.
- 22:11No evidence. And in fact, it's not one of
- 22:14those like, who do you believe? It was clearly a lie.
- 22:17It was clearly extortion. The the the the story was
- 22:22ridiculous and the Canadian and the Australian had a lot of
- 22:27support from overseas, both political pressure and money.
- 22:32They were both released, the two local teachers who were caught
- 22:36up in it I believe. No support, no nothing.
- 22:38They're still. There just yeah, Even though
- 22:42nothing, no evidence, no nothing.
- 22:45No, no. It's so strange that they're
- 22:50still countries that like there were countries on my trip where
- 22:53I had to bribe to get through. Yeah.
- 22:56Passport like it was, but there were some places where they are
- 23:00like you don't need to bribe them, but if you don't, they'll
- 23:05basically ignore you and then so let everyone else through.
- 23:10Yeah, yeah. Who has a bribe for them?
- 23:12So it's not necessarily. A bribe to get in.
- 23:14It's just a a bribe to to have things go smoothly.
- 23:17Yes, like it. They'll basically just that you,
- 23:21you wait there, they'll let everyone else through, and then
- 23:24they'll let you through. So weird, so strange.
- 23:32I met a guy once who was telling me he was he went to America,
- 23:36he's Australian, he went to America, then he went to visit
- 23:38Cuba because he wanted to see Cuba.
- 23:41Love to go to Cuba. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:43He said it was great, but then he didn't have a wallet so he
- 23:48just tucked his money into his passport because he thought that
- 23:50was just as good, but he forgot that his money was in his
- 23:53passport. When he was going.
- 23:55Back into America and handed his passport to the guy.
- 23:59Opened it up and there's just like $300 just like in the
- 24:02passport and the guy's. Eyes like what?
- 24:05Takes it, nods at him, hands back to the passport.
- 24:09How do I tell him no, that's not that wasn't meant to be?
- 24:12A bribe? That's an accident.
- 24:13Yeah, I'm not a bribe. I'm not.
- 24:15But also the scary thing is he was allowing stuff to be spotted
- 24:18in if he was taking the bribe, but he said no, no, no, that's
- 24:23just whereas keeping it. Can I have that back please?
- 24:26Because. Let me go and get some stuff to
- 24:28bring in. I'll be.
- 24:31Back in 2 minutes, yeah. Man, I 2016, when I went from
- 24:39Singapore to America to go to Sundance, I bought an
- 24:43e-cigarrete because I was still smoking then and E cigarettes
- 24:47were illegal in Singapore and they'd not even come out here
- 24:49yet. So I was curious.
- 24:50I just, I wanted to, so I bought one while I was there.
- 24:53It was like 15 bucks, smoked it, enjoying it and I threw it in
- 24:56the bin before I came back because I'm like even that I
- 25:00don't want to come to Singapore. Don't want to risk?
- 25:02It bag like why would you risk it for for something that costs?
- 25:05$50 Have we seen this now? Basically, you're not going to
- 25:08be able to take charges, Yeah, on planes anymore.
- 25:14It's basically going to be if you're travelling, you're going
- 25:16to every country you go to, you're going to have to buy a
- 25:17new battery pack every country you go to because planes are
- 25:20just no, yeah, because the people they're blowing up.
- 25:27Yeah, you already can't put them in carry.
- 25:29Is it you can't put them in carry on or you can't put them
- 25:31in storage? You can't put them in storage or
- 25:33meant to be in carry on to. So that way if it does happen,
- 25:37you're able to do something about it quickly.
- 25:41But even now there's been a few incidents where that signet
- 25:45started burning. You got fire in a plane and
- 25:49panic. So now in Australia they've just
- 25:52gone, just gone and do it. No, no charges on Planesdale.
- 25:57Yeah, right. When I went to Matt's wedding, I
- 26:03think it was then. Was that Trump's first term?
- 26:06Was it around then? I think that might have been
- 26:10before Trump. Because I went to go through
- 26:15with my laptop in my backpack and they said, no, you have to
- 26:18put that in your suitcase. You can't bring a laptop onto
- 26:21the plane. I might what's called my TV
- 26:23shows. How am I going to watch a
- 26:24Deadwood? Like they're like, no, it's a
- 26:27change in security. It's they change that backwards
- 26:30and forwards. Sometimes you have to take it.
- 26:33It has to be in carry on and you have to take it out and put it
- 26:36in a tray. Sometimes you don't and it's
- 26:38just so confusing. Yeah, sometimes you have to take
- 26:42your shoes off. Sometimes you don't.
- 26:45Just can't. We all just scream one set of
- 26:49rules so it's all just the same. Can we not take bombs on planes?
- 26:54Can we just agree not to do that?
- 26:56Remember how easy it used to be to get on a plane?
- 26:59Well, no, actually. Remember how easy it used to be
- 27:01to hijack a plane? Well, yeah.
- 27:05Planes were hijacked all the time.
- 27:08Yeah, Yeah. You don't hear a lot about that
- 27:09anymore, do you? No.
- 27:11But that used to be a very common occurrence that people
- 27:15would hijack planes. Yeah, that's true.
- 27:18The bombing wasn't really a thing, but the hijacking was.
- 27:22Yes, you're right, You're right. Speaking of planes, I teased
- 27:28last week that I'd started watching a movie that Americans
- 27:32would know as Airplane, but Australians would know as Flying
- 27:34High. One of the greatest movies ever.
- 27:37Look, it really is. It's fantastic.
- 27:40It's fantastic. So many reasons is a good movie
- 27:43#1 if you took all the jokes out, it would still just be a
- 27:46good movie. Like on the plane, pilot and
- 27:49copilot get sick. What happens?
- 27:52There's a passenger who used to fly in the war, but he's got
- 27:56trauma from it and so he doesn't want to do it, but he's the only
- 27:58one who can. That's a great storyline.
- 28:01That's a great storyline. And then there's the jokes.
- 28:05Which and joke after joke after joke.
- 28:08Rapid fire jokes coming at you. Picked the wrong week to stop
- 28:12sniffing glue. So good because that the first
- 28:16time he says it, I picked the wrong week to quit smoking.
- 28:19He lights a cigarette. It rings so true.
- 28:21You're like, oh man, I feel you. And he's.
- 28:23Like, yeah, I. Picked the wrong wing to stop
- 28:25drinking and then like bad luck to you and then it just keeps.
- 28:29Building, it's cleaning, it's cleaning, it's cleaning.
- 28:32And then he's just off his rocker.
- 28:34Yeah, so good. Then let's see where the the
- 28:39stewardess says to that old lady, oh, do you want a glass of
- 28:42champagne? She's like, no filthy stuff.
- 28:44And she's like, sorry. And then the old lady goes and
- 28:47this is snorting cocaine of a mirror.
- 28:54The black guys who have to be subtitled because no one can
- 28:57understand them. Oh, because I remember.
- 29:00And then there was this old woman who goes, no, I can speak
- 29:02jive. Yeah.
- 29:05But she's like, oh, you gotta it's, it's, it's so offensive.
- 29:09It's hilarious. Yeah.
- 29:12Absolutely forgot about that part.
- 29:14The pilot is a pedophile. They bring this little kid up to
- 29:18see the cockpit. He's like, Joey, have you ever
- 29:21seen a grown man naked? And then every time it says it's
- 29:25just like, Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?
- 29:29Like do you, do you like the feel of skin against your skin?
- 29:33Like no one no one interjects. It's just every time it cuts
- 29:37back to them. He's just asking him something
- 29:38sucks. Well, back at that time, those
- 29:41jokes were fine. Wasn't there also a scene where
- 29:44there's a woman who's I wish I I wanted to have sex before I
- 29:48died, and then there's just a, a queue of people because she's
- 29:52just saying it to everyone? Or is that in the sequel?
- 29:56Yeah, no, there there is that. There is that.
- 29:58Yeah. Is that.
- 30:00No, no, no, that's the sequel. There's one where woman gets
- 30:05slapped because she's she's gonna faint hysterical.
- 30:09Nielsen comes in and slaps her, and then it just pans back and
- 30:11there's a queue of people waiting to just.
- 30:13Slap her. So it's a sequel where it's got
- 30:16the one. There was quite a few jokes that
- 30:18I thought I remembered from this that aren't in this, that I
- 30:21think, OK, that must be the sequel.
- 30:22Yeah, which is basically the same movie, right?
- 30:27Yeah, it's on my list. Leslie Nielsen, I would say this
- 30:31is his greatest role. I would say even better than
- 30:33police squad and and Frank Durbin because.
- 30:36Shirley can't be serious. I am serious and I remember.
- 30:39That once, too. They say it later, too.
- 30:42It's like, I can't remember. There's some other phrasing of
- 30:44it. And he's like, I've told you not
- 30:46to call me Shirley. And I realized that.
- 30:49That's why when you watch Movies Now, Will Ferrell and all those
- 30:52guys, they're trying so hard to be funny, whereas it's like,
- 30:56listen, he's trying not to be funny.
- 30:59He's I. Like the playing straight,
- 31:01that's why I like Adam West is one of like my favorite Batmans
- 31:05because he just plays it something so ridiculous like
- 31:09hand me the shark's pro. Like it's just, it's like no one
- 31:12told. Him.
- 31:13It was a comedy. Yeah, but just so straight.
- 31:17And I think that's what makes it well, instead of saying the line
- 31:22and then hold for laughter type of thing.
- 31:24Yeah, And the thing that I can't stand is the improvised dialogue
- 31:30on set, because what makes the crew laugh when you're live is
- 31:35not what fits into a movie to make the audience laugh.
- 31:39It's totally different types of comedy.
- 31:41And when I'm watching and I can tell that somebody's like
- 31:45padding and doing a bit, I'm like, no, you've lost me.
- 31:49I can see the actor now, not the character.
- 31:52Yeah. And that happens a bit in
- 31:54another movie I watched this week called Blazing Saddles,
- 31:57which is also still a very good movie.
- 32:01I will. Say also very racist.
- 32:03You could not put this on TV even with beeps, you could not
- 32:07put this on TV now. No, because like even when like
- 32:12at the very start of the movie where they're sort of go down
- 32:16the track and make sure it's safe and then they go into the
- 32:19quicksand, they save the train track that they were on and then
- 32:25just leave them to die and. Then he goes, yeah, he says, can
- 32:31we send in a couple of horses? And he's like horses, We can't
- 32:33afford to lose two horses. Send in 2 N words.
- 32:36Yes. Now I get it.
- 32:39That's the joke. The joke is racism.
- 32:43It's not about The jokes are about racists, not about race.
- 32:47But you still couldn't. You still couldn't.
- 32:50You still couldn't. You couldn't do it.
- 32:52Like when he's arriving in town and it's the old guy, the
- 32:55sheriff, he's and the delicious rig and rig, and then he gets
- 32:59there and holds himself hostage. Yes.
- 33:02To save himself. You know what he's capable of,
- 33:07just let him go. Look, I'm so interested to see
- 33:10what's going to happen with Spaceballs 2.
- 33:13Yeah, yeah, definitely. Yes.
- 33:16I'd like to see what Mel Brooks can do these days.
- 33:19I mean, he's 100. Years old, yes.
- 33:21Yeah. This will be his last movie.
- 33:24But you just, you highlighted something interesting.
- 33:26The there's a running gag, the people going to say the N word
- 33:29and then having some sound drag them out.
- 33:32Yes, and I don't get it because there's also just other parts of
- 33:35the movies where people. Just say it.
- 33:37Yeah, there's one where a woman comes up and just calls him the
- 33:41N word and then later on comes back and goes, I'm sorry, I
- 33:44called you the N word. They're not saying the N word,
- 33:46by the way. Maybe they were playing, both
- 33:52sides are going, we may not be able to get this through so.
- 33:55Yeah, maybe. We'll make jokes where it is,
- 33:57we'll say it, but we'll have something else filmed in case we
- 34:01get knocked back. Or maybe there was a quota like
- 34:05obscenity laws. You could say it 7 times or
- 34:08something. Yeah, but they wanted to say it
- 34:10more so they dragged it out. Yeah.
- 34:12Which is. What happens with like PG and
- 34:16like PG13 and Mai? Think you could say fuck once
- 34:22and still be APG 13 movie? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:26Like there's there's a quota for swearing and things like that.
- 34:30I think. I think there's the same for sex
- 34:34and violence as well. You know X amount of people
- 34:37getting shot. You can be PG, but if it goes to
- 34:4030 you got to have the M. Yep, Yep.
- 34:43But. There's also it's not, it's not
- 34:46just the black jokes in this as well.
- 34:47Like there's just everything offensive right at the start.
- 34:51We're looking the crews. They're singing a song while
- 34:54they're doing it. The sheriff rides in and goes.
- 34:56The old sheriff rides in and goes, I pay you guys to lay
- 34:59track, not hop around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots.
- 35:02I was like, you don't often hear faggots in a movie these days.
- 35:07And then, well, it's still. Pretty.
- 35:09Offensive. You go sing a song.
- 35:11No, not a song like that. And then they start singing.
- 35:15That was funny. Yeah.
- 35:17No. Sing a black song and they're
- 35:19like, they do this croon. It's so good.
- 35:21It's so good. It's very clever.
- 35:23It's very clever. Except for Mel Brooks's
- 35:26character, because he does the thing where he's just
- 35:29improvising. You can tell.
- 35:30I don't think he needs even be in that movie, no.
- 35:35You can cut him out and nothing changes.
- 35:39Yeah. Or if you had had a Leslie
- 35:41Nielsen type A deadpan playing that role, it would be much
- 35:46better. But also he plays the same PLA
- 35:49character he basically plays in Spaceballs as well.
- 35:52Yes, yeah, that's all I could think of during this was yo
- 35:57yogurt. No, but no.
- 36:00The other one, the character. The other one, yes, the where
- 36:03he's like the head of. The Tarkin character.
- 36:07Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's.
- 36:10That those two are exactly the same character.
- 36:13Yeah, that is. That's true.
- 36:14They are exactly the same character, come to think of it.
- 36:17Yeah. Why didn't somebody tell me my
- 36:18ass was so big? Like they've both got the same
- 36:21like the girls and everything like that.
- 36:25Yes, it's true. Yeah.
- 36:28You could tell that girl who was hired to be there did not know
- 36:32just how closely and how often she was going to be ogled during
- 36:35that movie by him. You know what I mean?
- 36:38Like he'll be doing a line and then just turn into like motor
- 36:40about her and you're like, that wasn't scripted.
- 36:42That's not OK. No.
- 36:44Yeah. But he hasn't been cancelled
- 36:46yet. No, he hasn't.
- 36:48And he got to 100, so maybe, maybe.
- 36:50I think he's, yeah, he's made it this far.
- 36:53Fucking good in this movie though is Gene Wilder, and like,
- 36:58I know him from mostly Young Frankenstein and Willy Wonka,
- 37:02which are both perfectly good movies and he's a perfectly good
- 37:05performance. This is my favorite movie that
- 37:07he is in. Dead set.
- 37:09Excellent. Like, I would have given him an
- 37:11Oscar for that performance, you know?
- 37:13Yeah, like he's, But there's no way anyone was getting an Oscar
- 37:16for that movie. No.
- 37:18No, but but he's in a different movie.
- 37:20He's in. He's in an Oscar winning movie
- 37:22with that. Performance, yes, Yeah.
- 37:25Yeah, he's great. Well, they even kept seeing him
- 37:28when he was talking and stuff and I forget the name of the
- 37:32other character, but he starts laughing and he was not meant to
- 37:36laugh. He just couldn't hold it in
- 37:38because Gene Wilder was just it. Was just too funny.
- 37:42Yeah. I like Gene Wilder.
- 37:45Same. Did he go or is he still with
- 37:47us? I think he's gone.
- 37:50I think he is too. I think last time I saw him he
- 37:52was looking very old so. I remember he was on like a
- 37:55remember the last time I actually saw him on television,
- 37:59you could see he was on, oh, 2016 he went yeah, but you could
- 38:04see he, he sort of rocked up to a thinking maybe I might get
- 38:08clothes or something, but he's just in tracksuit pants and
- 38:11stuff like that, like he was. Yeah.
- 38:14I don't know if he's expecting them to give them him clothes or
- 38:18he just or just going to be comfortable.
- 38:20Yeah, yeah. Either way, it's a bit sad,
- 38:23isn't it? You never want to see things go
- 38:25that far. Yeah, it's a shame when they
- 38:27just keep rolling them out when they're just let him let him
- 38:35enjoy their retirement. Nice Twilight.
- 38:38Yeah, exactly. Look, look, Sean Connery, he
- 38:41wouldn't. He just went on retire.
- 38:43Bye. Yeah, I'm going to buy an island
- 38:46and play golf every day. Live in a castle, Yeah.
- 38:51I wish it happened for Stanley. I feel that's the one I feel the
- 38:54worst about, where they just kept rolling him out, stealing
- 38:58his blood and yeah. Yeah, the blood stealing was
- 39:04ridiculous. Tim.
- 39:05Curry Tim Curry's blood at this stage.
- 39:08But you better not you better. Not better not, but also the
- 39:11people who purchased it. I know like he was not in a good
- 39:17state. It was at the end of his life.
- 39:19He was not well. No, no, yeah.
- 39:27And he's had these people making money off him.
- 39:31Yeah, it was awful. It was awful.
- 39:33Yeah. I don't want to say that I don't
- 39:37want to see Bruce Willis with Alzheimer's.
- 39:40I don't want to see Gene Hackman not know there's a dead body of
- 39:43his wife in his house and live for two more months by himself
- 39:47until he eventually dies. Yep, I don't want any of that.
- 39:50I don't want to see Tim Curry in the wheelchair.
- 39:52It's awful. I can't.
- 39:53I can't handle it. And they should have enough
- 39:57money that they should, yeah, like they were big enough South,
- 40:02they should have enough money that they should be able to,
- 40:04unless they were just ridiculous with money, like, I don't know.
- 40:10Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp, he's going to die
- 40:13broke. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:22The time he rented an Indian restaurant after the trial, so
- 40:27he rented the entire place out, and then he just went and sat in
- 40:30the manager's office so he could have some time to himself.
- 40:33That's not a good investment of money.
- 40:36No, it really isn't mentioned. Sean Connery.
- 40:40I saw an interview with him from either late 70s or early 80s.
- 40:44So after his famous Bond, yeah, but not after he became like,
- 40:50you know, the God old man of cinema that he became.
- 40:56Yeah. But the interview was done at
- 40:59his house and it was just a normal house.
- 41:02Like I remember thinking James Bond just lives in a normal
- 41:05house like. Well, if people, if they're
- 41:08smart, why not? Why do you need a mansion?
- 41:13Yeah, exactly. Very few people need a mansion.
- 41:17Well the only ones that you really see showing off mansions
- 41:20and stuff now are the streams and stuff who are just renting
- 41:24them. Yes, yeah.
- 41:28And destroying them and they're horrible streamers that I wish
- 41:33they would be cancelled are. Like, very, very few streamers.
- 41:37They're all horrible. The in real life streamers are
- 41:40the worst, like the people who play games and.
- 41:43Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's fine, but the in real
- 41:46life, the ones who make it, they're the main character.
- 41:50Yeah, just go away and leave people alone.
- 41:53Don't do it. Yeah, you cringe.
- 41:55It's awful, yeah. In fact, there were a few times
- 41:59where when I've been travelling, I'll see like in one of these
- 42:03people who will set stuff up and camera up and I'll be doing
- 42:07stuff. I will make sure to walk
- 42:09straight through the middle of that.
- 42:11But in the middle of doing something because you're taking
- 42:14up a ton of room, no one cares. Whereas if, if it's someone just
- 42:21having a photo taken with their family or something like that, I
- 42:24will. Yeah, of course.
- 42:25Oh, wait a second. But if you're going to stand
- 42:28there for 10 minutes while you work out, you're you're dancing
- 42:31or you're anything. No, I'm going to walk through
- 42:34blow. Out at the exact way you want it
- 42:36to and. Yeah, no, I'm walking straight
- 42:38through the centre of that shot. When you're in the middle of it,
- 42:43I think you're upset how upset you get.
- 42:46Yeah, I don't care about you or your audience.
- 42:50At all, unless they want to become patriots of us.
- 42:55Yeah, I'm wearing my Christmas jammies tonight, by the way.
- 43:00They look Scottish. Yeah, because Totten, Yeah, each
- 43:06year for the last couple of years we've got matching
- 43:09Christmas jammies. So my entire family is currently
- 43:12dressed like this. He's just in for the month or.
- 43:16Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, Just yes.
- 43:18December starts in December. We do Christmas jammies.
- 43:21OK, yeah, I'm a very big Bah humbug with Christmas.
- 43:27Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, as I've been, especially
- 43:32at work. Yeah, especially when people
- 43:36come back after Christmas, I've heard.
- 43:39People, people will put up all these decorations before we go
- 43:43on break. Ton of decorations.
- 43:47Do you think they come back early in the year?
- 43:49No, they're not back for two or three weeks.
- 43:52Who has to take a lot of shit down?
- 43:53Me. Yeah.
- 43:54Yeah, I think decorations. You could you could just ignore
- 44:00it. It it frustrates me.
- 44:04I want to get it down as quickly as possible, same as the
- 44:06Halloween decorations we had up this year.
- 44:15We talked about Bonnie blooping in prison, someone else's that's
- 44:19in prison, which is a bit of follow up.
- 44:21Matthew Perry's doctor has finally been sentenced to three
- 44:26years in prison. Wow.
- 44:29Ketamine up Matthew Perry. Wonder how much ketamine he gave
- 44:37him? A lot, I think.
- 44:39I think it was a lot. Because I know with me like I
- 44:42get my ketamine infusions. Yeah.
- 44:46And I've been across from people who are, oh, my God, I feel so
- 44:51sick. This is making me feel weird.
- 44:54And they're like half of what I am.
- 44:56And I'm just, I'm at that stage where while my dreams are very
- 45:01vivid and weird and I might send weird messages, most of the time
- 45:05I'm just sitting there playing a game.
- 45:07Yeah, yeah. So I don't know how he must have
- 45:14given him a lot or he's just a weird I.
- 45:17Mean recreationally when I was young, I didn't I I just if for
- 45:23some reason it just didn't seem right to me.
- 45:26So I was always like, no thanks. Well, all that is, it's fit to
- 45:29put you like in. It's a horse tranquilizer,
- 45:32isn't? It it's all tranquil, so it's
- 45:34not like you're running around crazy or anything.
- 45:36It just dulls you down and just and you go and if you take
- 45:41enough you go into what they call you go into the K hole is
- 45:45what they call it, which is where you just sit there.
- 45:51Right. Oh, it's like the heroin on the
- 45:53nods. Is it we just like?
- 45:56Yeah, that's what I believe. But yeah, to give that's what
- 46:03they that's what they call it. So ketamine to Kate Perry to
- 46:09'cause these fatal drug up, but I've been told half he's in
- 46:11prison. So we just see this is the thing
- 46:16that annoys me because I would love to be able to just buy
- 46:19ketamine. Yeah.
- 46:21Right, then I could just take it home instead of having to have a
- 46:25whole week off work. I think that's it's what
- 46:28happened and then he died and. Because he took too much.
- 46:34Yeah, but that's why you can't take it home.
- 46:36Yes, you understand right. Because he cooked too much I
- 46:41would be good and I would take the recommended amount and so
- 46:45instead of having having to have like a a week off work maybe
- 46:49every month or have like a weekend 3 days.
- 46:53Yeah, right. Yeah.
- 46:56But people ruin it for me. I've read Matthew Perry's book
- 47:00and yeah, the man's an addict. The man has a substance abuse
- 47:04addiction, and any substance will do.
- 47:05Do you know what I mean? Just take booze away and it'll
- 47:07be something else. Yeah, You should not have made
- 47:10this man responsible for his. Own No.
- 47:12Ketamine. Because yeah, he was going to
- 47:16because even though even throughout all our friends you
- 47:18seem blow up in weight, lose a lot of weight, it was always
- 47:23because it was depending on what his vice of choice was, was how
- 47:28he looked. That's right.
- 47:30And yeah, and that was. Funny he was.
- 47:33So they can't be trusted. I can be trusted.
- 47:38Well, yeah, maybe I can. Believe me.
- 47:45Yeah. I don't know.
- 47:51Well also Paris assistant and the two people who supplied the
- 47:54ketamine dose that killed him have also pleaded guilty.
- 47:57So it sounds like he was getting it from more than one place as
- 48:01well. Right.
- 48:03Yeah, well, that was probably also why he had so much of it.
- 48:06Yes. So you just you go to a doctor,
- 48:11you go, are they this much like or the doctor shouldn't you
- 48:16shouldn't tell a doctor how much you need the doctor go yeah,
- 48:18take this amount over this time. So not.
- 48:20Really tell the doctor what you want.
- 48:22That's always assigned to. And I've got a doctor up the
- 48:24road that I only go to to renew prescriptions because of bulk
- 48:28pills. I've got a better doctor if
- 48:30there's something wrong with me that I have to pay the 70 bucks.
- 48:34But if all I want to do is is get a drug, I just go up the
- 48:37road here and be like, I need this one particular drug and
- 48:40they're like, OK. Depending on what it is, that
- 48:45can make sense. It's nothing.
- 48:46It's nothing anyone should worry about, but it's.
- 48:48Yeah, like I'm not taking an opioid or anything I need.
- 48:52It's not. Yeah, it's it's.
- 48:54I need my reflux medicine. Controlled.
- 48:56Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I need my Nexium please.
- 48:59Yes, yeah, just give me my restriction for that.
- 49:01I don't want to pay for. They're just, it's all old man
- 49:04medicines. But I just yeah, yeah.
- 49:08Either just give me a standing prescription, like a card that
- 49:13just says I can always get it get and any time I go to the
- 49:16cameras, I'm allowed this. Please just give me more of
- 49:18this. Because next thing is one of
- 49:20those things like when you, when you're taking it, you're fine.
- 49:26And then you'll stop for a few days, it's fine.
- 49:29And then it comes back bad. Yeah.
- 49:32Yeah, yeah, that's right. Oh no, I wasn't fine.
- 49:34It's just that I was taking the medicine.
- 49:36Medication that was fixing this. Yeah, Speaking of taking the
- 49:42medicine, there was a quadriplegic, completely
- 49:46paralyzed, non vocal, and they've hooked him up to brain
- 49:51implants so that he can communicate.
- 49:55And the first thing he said was, can I please have a beer?
- 50:02I could say that honestly. Yeah.
- 50:09What it was actually was actually working or was it to?
- 50:15I, I also thought this sounded like something that was maybe
- 50:19made-up. So I did, I did check, I did, I
- 50:21did due diligence to this and it is real because I thought this
- 50:26was kind of, this could be an onion, you know?
- 50:29Yeah. The man, who was now 36, had two
- 50:31square electrode arrays surgically implanted into his
- 50:33brain to facilitate communication.
- 50:38That's just so bad because that just means like he's paralyzed
- 50:41and like he's just locked in his body.
- 50:43I want beer, yeah. Could have been a worse request.
- 50:52Added he wanted a head massage, a Curry and to listen to tool.
- 50:59Sweet. Yeah, I mean.
- 51:07Oh and also this looks like it's only happened to him recently
- 51:11because he was able to interact with his four year old son and
- 51:13wife. So this isn't a oh Jesus.
- 51:16Right. Yeah, OK.
- 51:18So yeah, something must have happened to him after.
- 51:23Yeah, yeah. Well, that's sad.
- 51:27That is sad. But even being able to
- 51:30communicate I think would make a huge difference to being locked
- 51:35in your body. Yeah, I think so too.
- 51:38Yeah, yeah. Instead of just laying there and
- 51:43people just being around you, giving you what you they think
- 51:49you want. Yeah, there's no, I want a
- 51:52blowjob there. Is there's an old movie called
- 51:57Johnny Got His Gun, which is about a World War One soldier
- 52:00who gets basically body trapped. So mind awake, body asleep.
- 52:06It's what the Metallica song 1 is based on.
- 52:10But in that movie you see him in his present state, all bandaged
- 52:14and stuff. But you also just see all his
- 52:17imaginings, all his memories and stuff like this.
- 52:20But at one point the nurse jerks him off because she's like
- 52:24giving him a sponge bath and there's a reaction.
- 52:26She's like, oh poor guy, I'll fuck it, I'll just jerk him off.
- 52:30But then in then I never really addressed this, but in the
- 52:32memory that's happening kind of with that scene, it's him and
- 52:36his mate going swimming back when they were young.
- 52:39And it's like you're going to beat, are you applying
- 52:44something? There Are you playing something
- 52:45like. Yeah, like, like, this is a
- 52:50strange choice if he's not gay. You're right, yeah, which you've
- 52:54not said. There's no indication except for
- 52:57right now where this is happening and he's thinking
- 52:59about this. And it never comes up again.
- 53:02No, not mentioned, Not mentioned again.
- 53:06Maybe that's something that was, there's more that was cut
- 53:09because I'm guessing that was a movie came out many years ago
- 53:13and it was a different time. Yeah, true.
- 53:16True, where being gay wasn't really accepted.
- 53:20Yeah, maybe that they were a joke.
- 53:21This will make it abundantly clear the audience will get it.
- 53:24And now, because it's too subtle, we're like, what?
- 53:27Does it mean something? Yeah.
- 53:30Yeah, Did they give him the BI? Want to know if they gave him
- 53:35the B? I'm trying to, I tried to suss
- 53:37that out but I don't know. I don't know if they gave it to
- 53:40him because I. Don't, because I think that
- 53:41would be very mean to go, yeah, put the implant implant in.
- 53:45What do you want? I want to be no no.
- 53:48Yeah. Stop happy.
- 53:51Yeah, I can understand if you were in a coma waking up and
- 53:53that's the first thing you want. I have been to hospitals where I
- 53:57there has been beer on the menu. Really.
- 54:01Yep. Amazing.
- 54:03Went to the hospital once and you know, it was just light
- 54:04beer. What was it?
- 54:06A full strength? It was light beer.
- 54:08I tick that. I tick that box 100.
- 54:10Percent. I actually quite like hospital
- 54:12food and when my daughter was born, we had to stay for five
- 54:17nights because she had something that she needed to, they needed
- 54:20to watch her. So we're there for five nights
- 54:23and they just bring her in the afternoon, They bring around the
- 54:25the menu, you take it off. Yes, it's the exact kind of food
- 54:29I like. You know, meat, bit of veggies,
- 54:32something a little for dessert. They actually found out that by
- 54:35giving people options, people are eating the food more, right?
- 54:40Instead of just like bringing out and going, here's what you
- 54:43get. People go.
- 54:44This is why hospital food is bad.
- 54:46But if you feel like you've got a choice?
- 54:48That's that's a great point. Yeah.
- 54:50Yeah. Psychological.
- 54:52Yeah, yeah. I loved it.
- 54:53Oh, that was excellent. Which is.
- 54:55Why? I just still think people think
- 54:56hospital food are not airplane. Yeah, airplane food is bad
- 55:00because they get, you get like 2 choices.
- 55:02That's it. Yeah, I think that's the reason
- 55:05why people still think it's bad, which I don't think it is.
- 55:09I don't think either, and I think part of it too, like the
- 55:13one time I got bumped up into first class, we ate the same
- 55:16food as everyone else, but it didn't come in that plastic
- 55:19thing. It was on a yes with a knife and
- 55:21fork. Felt like a proper meal, you
- 55:23know what I mean? I think it's just that little
- 55:24plastic tub that tricks your brain into thinking you're
- 55:26eating something disgusting. That plastic tub that's sort of
- 55:28hot and it's hard to take off and yeah, then you got to try
- 55:32and get, yeah, there's not enough room because you're next
- 55:34to everyone. Yeah, isn't.
- 55:37There one thing that annoys me with news articles.
- 55:41They always talk about like the new way we're going to fly, like
- 55:44we're going to have different seating and stand up seating.
- 55:48Nothing has changed except for we have less and less space.
- 55:54Yeah, you're cramming more and more chairs into that thing.
- 55:57Like they like, and the reason what you really notice is to
- 56:01check the windows don't line up with the windows chairs anymore.
- 56:05Yeah, that is definitely a sure sign you like there used to be a
- 56:08chair only at each of these windows.
- 56:11Yeah, but no, I wish, like some of these articles you see they
- 56:16got. Oh yeah, like this is a good
- 56:17idea. Do it.
- 56:19Do it. No one's done it.
- 56:22No, it costs too much money. Also, I think we should go back
- 56:26to supersonic speed. Yeah, I don't say why not.
- 56:30I'm really confused why they stopped that.
- 56:33A part of it is like airports can't handle, like, imagine so
- 56:40many planes arriving right, so quickly, they can't handle that.
- 56:44But what if we just did it for like international travel, like
- 56:47stuff that's over 10 hours or something that could do it
- 56:52because, yeah, like to reduce that time.
- 56:54Yeah, yeah. Basically just do it for
- 56:57Australia going anywhere. Just where we want to go, yeah.
- 57:01Yes, because like going to Europe, I I love Europe, I hate
- 57:08going there and I'll probably never go back because it takes
- 57:11you 35 hours to get home. Yeah, it's a long, long trip
- 57:16home. Yeah.
- 57:18And it's not like in the olden days where you were on a boat,
- 57:21you know, where you could walk around like you just got to sit
- 57:24there. You just sit in one chair.
- 57:27I go crazy. Like people don't dress for
- 57:30flight anymore. No they do not and it's getting
- 57:34worse of this. I've seen just people rock up in
- 57:37their literal pajamas at the airport now.
- 57:40I just find that disgusting. I'm still like, I'll wear a
- 57:43collar and I've got my travel pants that are, yeah, like,
- 57:46still pants, but they're smart. But they've got a yeah, yeah.
- 57:50Yeah, that's what I've got. Like travel chic?
- 57:54Yes. Yeah, I'll do a polo.
- 57:56So it's like feels like AT shirt, but it's got the collar
- 57:58so it looks a bit smarter. I just know when you get up to
- 58:01the counter you've got to make an impression.
- 58:04Yes, but no one else seems to care anymore.
- 58:07No, I tell you though, whenever I see a guy in a suit, like
- 58:11maybe he's on a business trip or something, I always been like,
- 58:14fuck, I wish I was in a suit. Like, it just, it just makes
- 58:18being on that plane seem so much more important when you're in a
- 58:21suit. I I also think by dressing up
- 58:24there's more of a chance of being bumped up to like business
- 58:27class probably. Right.
- 58:28Yeah. Like, like I've dressed nice.
- 58:30Like there's a chance. If it's possible, just bump me
- 58:34up. Yeah, which, yeah.
- 58:35It's only happened for me once and it was the worst trip ever.
- 58:41Not. The one where you had food
- 58:45points? Yeah, it was the one I just came
- 58:46out of hospital. Yeah.
- 58:48So I went the first class of business class and I slept.
- 58:52Yeah, right. Right.
- 58:53So did you get to experience anything?
- 58:57Because. The fact that you could sleep
- 59:00and could sleep well means you did get the business class
- 59:03experience because. That was the most.
- 59:05Valuable thing. Still on ketamine, I was going
- 59:08to sleep no matter where I was. Fair enough.
- 59:11Yeah. And yeah, that was probably
- 59:12wasted. Yeah, I still stuck it.
- 59:16I had to sneak into the lounge though.
- 59:19Oh yes. Definitely.
- 59:20Because I was upgraded, I wasn't giving the lounge, so they
- 59:24didn't give me the lounge ticket.
- 59:25And they actually told me at the ticket desk you don't have
- 59:28access to the lounge because we upgraded you.
- 59:31Yep, not a problem. But I just walked to the lounge
- 59:34and showed them my ticket. Went yeah.
- 59:36Business class, they went. Did you get a ticket?
- 59:39I went no. And I went, oh, OK, in you go.
- 59:44Great, well played, well played. Worth a shot.
- 59:49The time that I got bumped, it was first class, not even
- 59:53business. That's first class on British
- 59:55Airways, which was a flight from Sydney to London, but I was only
- 59:59going to Thailand, which was the stopover.
- 1:00:02And they're like, well, there's a seat.
- 1:00:04You can just go in it. You got to go upstairs.
- 1:00:07It's in the nose, it's above the pilot.
- 1:00:09Like it's just it's, it's on a different floor.
- 1:00:11To the others, it's huge, isn't? It beautiful.
- 1:00:14Yeah, it's lovely. Like you can get up and actually
- 1:00:17walk around and they have a bar. Yep.
- 1:00:20Where I was sitting, no other passengers could see me.
- 1:00:23I was like around the corner. I had my own little space.
- 1:00:26Yeah, it was incredible. But it was 2010 so I I reckon
- 1:00:31the better now. I don't know how people afford
- 1:00:34those tickets because they're like 10 to $12,000.
- 1:00:37Yeah, yeah, it's ridiculous. Even business class I can't
- 1:00:42afford. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:45Because they're like triple the price of just.
- 1:00:48Yeah. And.
- 1:00:50Yes, it's miserable, but just just get me home, You know, at
- 1:00:53that point, just just just let's just.
- 1:00:56Give me home. That's why I just just give us a
- 1:00:58Sonic travel for us. Yeah.
- 1:01:02Like you think it's Sonic? Travel.
- 1:01:04Yes. Let's let's travel sonically
- 1:01:08into the after party. Well, we shall.
- 1:01:13So we're gonna end this episode now.
- 1:01:15So I now need to end this recording.
- 1:01:17You'll hear the outro play and then it'll stop.
- 1:01:22I haven't heard the outro in quite some time neither.
- 1:01:25I'm interested, so let's listen to it together.
- 1:01:31That's all for this week. Thank you for listening and we
- 1:01:35hope you enjoyed the show. If you enjoyed it then please
