- 0:00[rock music] All righty, it's Full Spectrum Recycling, show number 178.
- 0:21[rock music] I think that- I looked it up... requires really anything- There wasn't really anything... special-ness-tivity at all. No, no, no. Even what I did- It's another show, another Wednesday- Yeah...
- 0:29or another Friday, another show. I don't know. So I, I- Wikipedia got an extra hit on the number 178- Yeah [laughs]... today, just [laughs] and I'm like, wow, how unremarkable this is.
- 0:39So- If you were 178 years old, though, that would be remarkable. Right? That would- Guess it I'm not. [laughs] It could happen. Turtles live- One day... I think turtles live to be that old, don't they? Mm-hmm.
- 0:48178-year-old turtle. Dude, that's what I'm saying, man. It's just what I'm saying. Y- you cats, man, y- you guys are, you guys are- [laughs] Yeah, you guys are crazy cats... you guys are really cool, and I dig you, man.
- 1:00Oh, shit, what decade am I in? So I- [laughs] I forgot. [laughs] I, I extrapolated out to show 200, and it happens sometime in January if we keep on our- Mm-hmm...
- 1:09current path, like January 18th, I think, or something to that effect. So I'm kinda thinking maybe we should start to look forward to, A, a party, and B- Chocolate pudding. Is that our last show? I don't know.
- 1:24200 seems like a pretty good number. Yeah, it does. But you know what's an even better number? Three. Mm. 300. 300 takes a lot longer than 200. [laughs] It takes, like two more years. Pretty much. Mm-hmm.
- 1:34Yeah, so I don't know. It's gonna be a nice time for fat bikes, you know, fat biking in the winter here in the Wisconey. Hopefully. Well, we've got fat bikes, so we gotta get snow. Mm-hmm.
- 1:45We just got in four, count 'em, four, folks, ice cream trucks. They look pretty. Stop me while I'm passing by. We got two smalls. Oh, my, my. We got one medium, and we got one large, but guess what?
- 1:55We only got one small. One's already gone. One's already gone. Only been in here for a day. One's already out the door. Well, out the door f- on yester- What, what- On today. It's actually out the door today.
- 2:04What, what, what are the color schemes? Is- Oh, they're purdy. Is there a prickling? It's called, uh- Is there a prickling?... Safety Mask Blue is what the color i- Mm-hmm. There's one s- t- it's, you...
- 2:14Yeah, it's, um- I saw that in there. That's the color. Okay. That's the only color this year. I don't- Gotcha. Gotcha, gotcha. They always do a one color scheme thing. I love ice cream truck,
- 2:26but I already have a five-inch platform bike- [laughs]... if I decide to keep it, so I'm looking forward to Wednesday. I, I agree. I am thinking Wednesday might end up in my, my quiver. Those are on the way, too.
- 2:40I just don't know when. They're probably gonna be closer to the end of September. Mm-hmm. Here's my advice, folks. [laughs] Don't wait, 'cause these things are gonna be gone.
- 2:51You know, and I was, I was struggling with do I help people in other areas of the country who are really looking for this bike? Like, no, we're gonna sell these right here in the fat bike capital of the world, Wisconsin.
- 3:03Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. We got the world championship biggest race in the world here. Yep. Don't call it a world championship, but it is. It's been here for years. Yeah, yeah, so,
- 3:13uh, keep your, keep your eyes, uh, keep your eyes open. Info@everydaycycles.com you can find out how to get one of those ice cream trucky things- [coughs]... your own damn self. Sponsored by [laughs]
- 3:28Sponsored by Surly Bikes. Yeah, right, right. [laughs] Okay. And if we go to... We're not at the top yet. No, no, that's good. We c- But when we do- Minutes away...
- 3:37there, there, there's als- We're supporting the other Surly company... there's also more Surly on the way. Whoa. Whoa. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Yeah, [laughs] it's trying to get out, man.
- 3:44[laughs] Yeah, it's s- heard its name. It's kicking out of the cooler over there. Shit. Oh, all right, basket case. Oh, man. Easy on Tabitha. So, uh, Center Street Days, that was this past weekend. It was a great time.
- 3:55I kept calling it Locust Street. Everybody knew what I was talking about anyway, and they didn't really correct me very often except one jackass.
- 4:02[laughs] Constant re- constantly, it's like, "It's Center Street Days, man." I'm like, "I know. I'm standing on the fucking street." It wasn't that Paul was- I had a lot of fun. [laughs] No, no.
- 4:11You know when Paul and Todd go out- I had a lot of fun, man. I thought it was a great- Oh, yeah, yeah... time. I- did I even see? Nope, didn't see you. Oh, by the way- We saw JK...
- 4:18by the way, it's Tony over there, and JK, and, uh, Sven, and, uh- Yep. Yeah, yeah. We saw JK. We're, we're here just like every week. The coins came out. Getting Peruvian food. The coins came out- Oh, that's right...
- 4:26and I lost. Who, who had coins? I pulled mine out- Me... in front of Kenny and- Ah... JK, and they both were- Da, da, da, da, da... they were a little l- locked and loaded, so- Yep.
- 4:37I saw a picture of it, so make sure we get that in the show notes 'cause [laughs] it was very large. We had to, we had to walk into the High Dive there and have ourselves a cheap High Dive beer. [sighs] Yeah.
- 4:46Well, at what cost at times? I know. I know, but- Like, I, I am just saying... you're as easy as the outs, walked down to Company and buy expensive beer- I get ya, I get ya, I get ya... which is super delicious.
- 4:56I'm still h- I mean, I'm not holding- I know... I'm not holding my grudge. I'm just aware. Because the grudge is, the grudge is valid. It's there. Valid grudge. Yeah, and it's like [growls] whatever.
- 5:06But, I mean, it was easy to get a beer, and you were buying, so I was- Right. I, all I was was the tray. Right. So I'm just like, "Eh, okay, just l- load me up." But yes, there were, there was some good bands.
- 5:16But I was like, "Ugh." I had some decent food, and- Well, what happened, what, what ha- happened, what had happened was I was there early for the cart race- Ah... which was really fun. I got some pictures of that.
- 5:26That was- And you got your koozie back. And- Wherever it is now... as long as you say I did. I, I installed new Wi-Fis. Maybe it's in the van. Okay, s- but here's what happened. Okay, okay, okay, wait. Okay, wait.
- 5:35So the finals were awesome because they were two pretty fast...
- 5:39They were, like, neck and neck, and when they made the turn, they make a U-turn at the end of the block, I thought they were gonna just smash, but they didn't. They really had... were professional cart drivers. Wow.
- 5:49Yeah, very Blue Angel. [imitates tires screeching] Yeah, yeah. And one of them was, like, a kayak- Nice... that had wheels on it, and they lifted the nose up and, like, pivoted on the tail.
- 5:58It was, it was very danc- Yeah, there were- It was dance like. It was ballet. Yeah. It was, it was ballet- Nice... on the street. There were a couple moments where some of the early runs[clears throat]
- 6:07Got a little, uh- Got close to the crowd. Yeah. I was, I was- And I'm always- My shin, my shins were, like, done... I'm always on, head on a swivel on that. Oh, you gotta be.
- 6:16And it's just funnier than shit because you see people that aren't, and they just- They plowed. Well, no. Well, okay. We'll, they sober the hell up real quick.
- 6:23[laughs] So I think the one that would, the one that would've done the most damage was probably the toboggan with all the little kids on it, and there was, like... I think the oldest kid pulling the thing was, like, 12.
- 6:31Well, yeah, and they had, like, this fucked up, like, rope mechanism. And it was all going sideways and stuff. Like, like this, and I'm going like, "That would confuse me." It was like a marionette show,
- 6:39and the kids- It's pretty fun... and then they're, like, kicking it like that. And I'm like, "Ooh." Yeah, there was cuteness going on, for sure. I'm getting confused watching you- Yeah, and the girl-...
- 6:46let alone- There was a girl- Yeah, yep... a, a young lady that had a, a bridal thing to try and steer it. Mm-hmm. Here's the deal. You make the front end light enough that you can pivot it on the back wheels. Right.
- 6:55Then you don't need to steer it really. Right. I mean, you are steering it, but you don't need some focockta thing that's slowing you down. So next year- So here's the deal. Next year- We're, we're-...
- 7:02apparently we have-... gonna pin it in from, this is why 178 is memorable. This is when- We have to-... the planning session begins... I guess we have to make a cart. I like this idea. It's gonna s- Where's the loans?
- 7:14That's what I'm saying. Well, I don't know. Zere's are burning. Is any, uh, calls coming in here? Like, like an a- like an apple crate or something, something small. Yeah. But you need- I'll pilot.
- 7:23I'm saying you need three people to push just because somebody's gonna get tired. And I'm a pilot. You can't have one person push. That just, g- that guy's just gonna be- No... hurting going back up that hill. Right.
- 7:32Unless we cheat and electric assisted. [gasps] Sh- shush. [laughs] Be freaking awesome. Shush. No. No. No. Oh, no. No. So, and, and also really good band.
- 7:49So I, so, okay, so okay, wait. Okay. So I did the cart thing. Mm. And then- And a new band I had not heard of, but I was witness to, or audio witness to at first, [sighs] and it,
- 8:03it, it not only knocked me d- over a little bit, it, like five other people that I respect their musical tastes- Or like me... were just like, "What the fuck? This is..." Where was this? Yeah. What, what band?
- 8:17Don't remember. Um... Which stage? [laughs] Elbtowner stage. Oh. It was, like, [laughs] right after, uh, the Wilson Family Band. Oh. And see- It was, uh- As I was-... Scam Likely. Ah.
- 8:29As I was alluding to before, I had to go because, uh, my buddy Tyler made time to help fix my oven 'cause the igniter was out. Wow.
- 8:38So we went there, but it took, like, two and a half hours because I thought it was the broiler igniter, and it turned out to be the oven igniter, which was okay. Wow. Okay.
- 8:47It just took some more putzing around and, and, and, and whatever. It just took- And now it ignites? So... It does ignite- Nice... both the oven and the broiler. Nice.
- 8:56Uh, but I did make it back in time for the band with Owen. The Bell Ends? Like, the, the one-third of the, or one-half of the Bell Ends. He's, he's in a band, right? No, that was the Bell Ends.
- 9:05Well, what's the one where he said there was, like, it was, like, six people the night before 'cause they were... I don't know, I don't know. He's in, he's in a lot of bands. [laughs] That he is.
- 9:17But they were- But the Bell Ends because the name is great. But they were good, and it was good. Oh, yeah. And all things were good with that. And I wasn't that bad of heckling 'cause he- I-...
- 9:25he, he does wanna, like, like, "Oh, I, I, if anyone wants to hear, you know, anything." There's- I took some photographs... the Rattlin' Bog. And anytime you see him, you can heckle him with the Rattlin' Bog.
- 9:37Did he Rattlin' Bog? Hell no, but when he... You know, normally you get him when he's doing it solo 'cause that can go on for 10 minutes or 40 minutes. Oh, yeah. It was a good show.
- 9:47Right, right after this, I'm going to see a show tonight. Where are you going tonight? I'm going to see Gold. Where's Gold? [singing] They're at, uh, the Cooperage. Really?
- 9:59Are we ri- are we- The opening band is Something Dog... are we riding down there on our bicycles? Um, that- Hi. Not that dog. It's them... It's supposed to be really great,
- 10:09but I- Oh, uh- And since we saw Gold upstairs-... Tiger Ray. I think it's, like, Tiger Ray and somebody- Yeah... I know what you're talking about.
- 10:15Since we heard Gold upstairs, I'm like, "We-" That's what I was gonna say. [laughs] I was like, "They should be-" "... we need to s-..." I, like, I... And thank you, FOEYs, I won tickets and- Nice.
- 10:24Oh, they're actually selling tickets for this thing. Oh, yeah, yeah. This is to the Snooperage. I love that venue. All right. Hey, man. I love that venue. About one, about one year ago, I saw Dale Watson. Oh.
- 10:35And that was a damn awesome show. [laughs] It's, like, that venue just makes shows great. Well, except when you're out on the smoking lanai, and then, um,
- 10:44the next-door neighbor is dropping bricks and big pieces of whatever, and that whole little area is just on a floaty- Bouncing? Oh.
- 10:53Yeah, and it's very, very unsettling 'cause you feel like you're on terra firma, but- Right... oh, no, you're not. [laughs] At the smokers' lounge? It's just like whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 11:03That whole little, uh, um, green space. Oh, I didn't know that. That's, that's not- All that nice- That's- All that nice area? Yeah. That's f- That's floating? Cooperage. Yeah. You can go down there and ride a boat.
- 11:14That's, like, that's- You can go down there and ride a bike. Yeah, it's cool. You can go and see bands. I mean, it's very stable apart from the fact when- Has tacos.
- 11:19Well, when, like, a one-ton piece of- Has some tacos and a taco moto... concrete drops on another- Right, right... uh, next door. So- They have inconsistent neighbors, I'll just say...
- 11:28it isn't the Lucky Dog, but Cooperage is- Cooperage is a fun place to visit... on your, on your schmickensmack... and it should be, for sure. But I would also say Boone and Crockett since Cooperage- Yeah.
- 11:34Yeah, that's right there... people know exactly what that is, so. The Cooperage Complex- Complex... I think is- The- Yeah... Cooperage Complex. Haven't quite wrapped my head around that place.
- 11:42So I, I don't think we hit this last week. Uh, y- y- did you go up to Port and try and beach ride up there, Tony Burger? Uh- Burger Tony. Yeah. Is this from Bernie's? Reasonably unsuccessfully.
- 11:52There's a variety of meats there you should s- try to sample. Are they from Bernie's? Uh, no, they're, a lot of them are from, uh- Oh, I see a bunzel... some Black Husky ones, some bunzels.
- 12:00Is there one that's not super hot in there? Uh, yeah, yeah. There's definitely something you'll love. That's it. Um, there's a lon Jagger, um, which I know you like the smoked lon Jaggers. Oh, is that a lon Jagger?
- 12:08That's the spicy ones from Black Husky, which are- No... freaking delicious Um, those are the, yeah, those are the Landjugers All right. There's some garlic sticks in there- We got meat. Folks, we got meat here...
- 12:17from last week. Folks. And there's something else in there. I'll just do one. Oh, there's some chee- some cheddar. I'll do one of these. So, uh, w- Simple... so tell about the unsuccessful ride.
- 12:25So, uh, yeah, so we, we rolled up to, uh, Port thinking we could escape the heat, and, uh, we were grossly wrong. [laughs] Um, it was- Oh, it was that Saturday...
- 12:37it was ungodly hot, and, um, I went with, with Jim and, and Sam, who I'm s- now calling SAS, Smart Ass Sam. Um, and Jim had to say, "Well, at least we got a nice breeze off the lake."
- 12:55And as soon as he said it, it stopped. So we did- Might have something to do with his, uh- Just... Yeah. [laughs] I don't know. He's a dude- Oh, what are these, what are these... Uh, we got- He, we did well...
- 13:05we got, uh, fruit flies in here, folks. Um, but we, he, it was his first real beach ride on his Wyatt. Hmm. And, uh, we, we rolled up,
- 13:14I, you know, it, it was probably only a mile or so, maybe a little more than a mile, 'cause then it got really deep. Um, and there, the- On, on the North Beach or the South Beach? Going south. Wow.
- 13:25North you, North you couldn't even ride. Yeah, no, I know. That, that's, but, well they had- Um-... the landslide too, so. Right, right.
- 13:30But yeah, uh, South it was rocky, and it turned out I, I deflated too much, so I had like five PSI, and I didn't- Perfect... pinch flat. Perfect for the beach.
- 13:42I didn't pinch flat, so I was like, "All right, this is rolling well." Um, but yeah, it was ungodly hot. Um, I, my chest is still peeling 'cause I- Yeah... burned myself a bit.
- 13:55That's what you get for taking your shirt off. I had to unzip my jersey. I was actually wearing a, a serious- What the hell is- I know... what, what, what... [laughs] 'Cause it was nice and light.
- 14:07Ozark- And then Sam's, uh- Ozark County does strange things to a man... Sam's fancy-ass Volkswagen broke down on the way, uh, home. Fortunately- It's still in the shop...
- 14:16um, right in front of my house, and it's still in the shop. They gave him a Tiguan or something to use, and he's like it's tiny, but it does fit his bike and almost him. I like that, uh, I like the Toureg.
- 14:31His Toureg's gonna be for sale, and I think it's a- Toureg... hell of a deal. If any other listeners out there are looking for a big old diesel with 500 pound feet of torque [laughs] and 32 miles to the gallon.
- 14:43By the way, the Landjuger has a very resistant casing. It does. [laughs] I think it's- I thought it was just me and my teeth- No... but I just saw you fight with it.
- 14:51No, I'm, I'm, I'm trying to not crunch through it and make a lot of racket, but- Ju- judgy Joel, that is not my favorite Landjuger. I, I'm gonna- Oh, no...
- 14:57drive to Held's for the next ra- the next batch because- Well, this, that's a cure The flavor is good. Yeah. The flavor's good. Yeah. It's smokier than I like, though. It's also not been sitting out for long enough.
- 15:06Well, like JK's over there. Ah. Yes. [laughs] Yes, his last, two weeks ago his Landjuger was still sitting on the mic stand. [laughs] Um, but yeah, I, I do think Held's makes a better Jager, if you will.
- 15:21So I think I forgot this too last week. I'm gonna say it again, though. You should go to Full Spectrum Cycling and check out both of our RW24 shows. Those were great. Oh, thank you.
- 15:30But one thing I forgot to mention last week was I liberated some chairs from the Uptowner at, like, 2:30 in the morning. They were closed. It's a blessing. And then I got them back there by, like, 6:00.
- 15:41And no one even knew they were gone. I don't think they even noticed they were missing. [laughs] Right. But thank you Uptowner for the- Yep...
- 15:45the lending of the chairs, which was, we did have the, uh- We, we, we talked about this briefly-... the blessing... because Sean busted into his, "I need a band member," remember? That was kinda funny. Yes. Yes.
- 15:57So sh- now he's found one apparently. Of course he has. Probably because of that. [bell rings] Oh, oh, uh, oh. Oh, that was a long climb. Yeah, it was. I'm already sweaty, probably 'cause of this Landjuger. Mm-hmm.
- 16:11Mm-hmm. JK brought, oh, we've been pre-gaming with the Hamm's, of course. And 14 bucks for a 30-pack, folks. That's- Is that not, like- That's a quality price break What the hell? I know. That's great.
- 16:20It, it's w- the, what, what scares me on that is, like, that bubble's gonna burst at some point and it's- And then they're gonna be- It'll become popular...
- 16:26they're gonna be, like, $16, and it'll be like- Yeah...,"God, damn." Oh, yeah. I remember when you could buy this when it was $14. Yeah. It'll be like the new, you know, like, Lone Star and shit like that.
- 16:34I, it was, like, 10 years ago there was- Oh, oh, there's a unicorn. Eh, got it... it was, like, 10 years ago there was- No hockey bars, though...
- 16:38at West 24, there was a sticker that says, "Hamm's is the new Pabst," and it still hasn't happened. Damn. It's supposedly very similar and just, just- It's supposedly the same beer...
- 16:49slight, slight difference in the curing and/or boiling process or some such, but anyway. Hey, if I have the choice, I will take Hamm's over Pabst. Mm-hmm. Dig it, do you? I mean, I just do. I, I don't know. I did before.
- 17:00I will again, unless they change formulas- Mm... and recipes be- between here and- But, but we should talk about what, what you brought in there. Yeah, what's, what did you- Whoa, it came through my nose... brought in?
- 17:10[laughs] [coughs] Oh, my God, that was Landjuger. You silly. [sniffs] Oh, the beer too. Uh, this is a, this is a, uh- Logic Bomb... a retread, a repeat offender, if I remember correctly. Mm-hmm.
- 17:22Surly Logic Bomb Juicy Pale Ale. Yeah. Uh, clocking in at 5.5 if I read that correctly, which is awesome because it tastes like it's more than that. And there he is. Tully Do. Tully Do. Tully Do. James walks in- Ja-...
- 17:39for a Tully Do update. James walks in, James walks out. James walk in and out of your snout. [laughs] A Tullamore and Mountain Dew? N- n- n- no. [laughs] Mountain Dew? Tully Do? Who drinks that crap?
- 17:53Well, dude, you say Tully Do. Didn't Chewy have one last week?
- 17:57We were saying something, or two weeks ago, about the- Something about they have some new thing that's not- Yeah, energy drink slash- Yeah, I think it's, like, a malt liquor kinda thing or something. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 18:05Yeah. Well, there... [laughs] Well, it can't be that because I think that s- his son's a silly. I can't think he could drink a malt liquor, can he? Oh. Oh, maybe not.
- 18:13I think it's a s- a hard seltzer I can only drink a malt liquor, you know, for 40 ounce- Well, the, all the hard seltzers are basically malt liquor Yeah So,
- 18:22ah, who knows what the hell it is But like the malt- Chewy, go on, tell us Like the Saint Ides and King Cobra and, you know, the 40 Yeah, the big, the- Private Stock, you know, the goodies.
- 18:32I can only do that during the NFL football draft. All right. I'm just- 'Cause for whatever damn reason- I'm gonna take a good swallow of the beer now- Yeah... because I just choked that Landranger down.
- 18:43Excuse me It is juicy. Yeah Also, excuse me It's a delightful beer for me. It is. And- Hence the repeat offender, uh- Yeah, 10 bucks for a-... moniker... six-pack. Hell, four more bucks- Okay... you can have 30 hams.
- 19:00Yeah. [laughs] But I don't wanna carry 30 beers. I like carrying six. [laughs] Nothing wrong with that plan. Nothing wrong with that.
- 19:07Especially when I did get the text that you already had 30 beers here, [laughs] so- Right... I, I didn't feel like I had to over. Molly Brown on my Half Acre, uh- Beer? Jesus... IPA yesterday, and I have to say it was
- 19:20proper. I was pretty impressed, so- Are they- Might be next week's show beer. All right. Well, okay. It was from, it's from Shattown. I almost got... Well,
- 19:30when I got that one time, the uh, uh, One Time Derry, uh, 21st Amendment Brewing company. Yeah. Mm. I almost grabbed that again, and I was like, "Eh."
- 19:42They had a different version, but it was a wheat ale and I know you- Hey, because of that beer- I know you're s- snowed in-... I now re- No. Because of that beer, I now remember what the 21st Amendment is. Ah.
- 19:52So that educated the shit out of me. That's what I'm here for. [laughs] Education and entertainment- So, okay... baby. Yeah, uh-huh So, so now we know what the 19th and the 21st were.
- 20:00What was the 20th, though, in betwixt the two? Oh, probably had- Prohibition on nudity... probably had something to do with- The women's right to vote or something? No, something with like the postal service
- 20:13or something. Oh, okay. The Band? Sure. [laughs] Uh, do we have any up...
- 20:19So Thurman's is a local pubbery that's got the Grateful Deady kind of, uh, effect going, and our esteemed colleague Steven, who is the shop wrench extraordinaire, is now tending of the bar there on the weekends.
- 20:33As, as is a former and, uh, one of our guests, Sam. She previously, previous show guest, Sam. Sam, he is rocking it on Mondays there as well. So here's the thing, though.
- 20:44They, we had a dust-up there with the parking of the bicycles. A minor kerfuffle. And- Minor kerfuffle... mi- and it's gaining some unsolicited attention. Completely unsolicited. And action. It wasn't like- Apparently.
- 20:56Yeah, yeah. Well, no, I mean, it wasn't, it, I wasn't on my own island yelling at a cloud. No, no. And- At all... and Jared had said in a Facebook thing- Oh, shit... "You should just p- park them inside."
- 21:06And he's like, "No, no, no, [laughs] you can't just bring them inside." No, I, when I saw that, I'd be like, "Ooh, yeah." If not, bike racks are imminent would be my guess. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
- 21:14Oh, just recently the new of the Jake Born, uh, had posted a link to the, uh, request form- Oh... on that thread, so. I like the new Jake Born. That's good. Mm-hmm.
- 21:28[laughs] So the 20th Amendment, just so you guys know, of the United States Constitution moved the beginning and end of the term of the president and vice president from March 4th to January 20th,
- 21:42and the member of Congress from March 4th to January 3rd. Nothing about the Post Office. Nothing about the Post- Mm. But- Mark- Why are we moving stuff around? I don't know. And why did we need- All right, well, oh-...
- 21:53a fucking amendment to do that? [laughs] I, oh, I'm saying, right? Well, we have the- A procedural thing. Well, yeah. Of course it is.
- 21:59So essentially, yeah, the amen- all, yeah, the Constitution is like a crazy office building, and what, the fucking nine- [laughs] 19th and 21st floors are just not operational. [laughs] You know- You, uh-...
- 22:13you just don't stop on those...
- 22:15you made me, uh, think of Office Space, and you know the whole Office Space scene where they, the guy's like, "Oh, I stole something," and the next scene you see they're bashing the shit out of the fax machine? Yeah.
- 22:27Mm-hmm. Yeah. I'm about to do a full- Or c- copier, I think... uh, it's a copier, I think. It's a- Yeah, I think it's everything... it might be a, it might be a three thingy. Right, all in one-y thing. Yes, yes, yes.
- 22:36So I'm about to replace- Back in your house with the resurrection... about 300 phones that have been an absolute bane in my existence, and I'm gonna do a video of me smashing the shit out of one of those phones.
- 22:51Bring some over, and we gotta do some baseball bat action. And, and then I'm gonna send it to the entire, for an all staff meeting, and be like, "Oh, I stole something."
- 22:58[laughs] And I'm just gonna smash, and everyone's gonna lose it because- Yeah, that was the Os-... these things suck... the Oscars', uh, parking lot- Mm...
- 23:05for the Office Space ride, so- On the Office- Back in your house with the resurrection. Here it comes.
- 23:10[laughs] The, the smashing on, on the Fat Tire Tour of Milwaukee, uh, occurred over there to Oscar's- Mm-hmm Mm-hmm... in the parking lot. Yep. That's just what I said. Yeah. All right.
- 23:19Well, I'm just trying to reiterate. Re- reinforce. Also, I am saying that this Office Space theme is awesome because I played, uh, bingo Sunday night to the, uh, what's that place over on Bremen called? Bremen Cafe.
- 23:33Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Won a brand-new copy of Office Space on DVD. Nice. [laughs] Was a lot of fun, was, was a lot of fun over there. Quick, turn on the TV. Wait. What? What? Oh, yeah. Two chicks naked.
- 23:52Oh, through the wall. Yeah. [laughs] Yeah. What does- What would you do if you could- Yeah, a million dollars... man... two chicks. [laughs] Good Lord. That movie is so good.
- 24:01[laughs] It's worth having on DVD because- Excuse me... when all of the servers die from the EMP- Right... I'll still have my DVD. Excuse me, I believe you took my stapler. Mm-hmm.
- 24:10I, I would like to believe that I could get my stapler. Oh, yeah, I was in audience of somebody talking about, like, that character or that actor, and I was like, "Yeah, it's, uh..."
- 24:19I'm like- Oh yeah, and he was in, uh, Book of Boba Fett just recently too Just a, you know, hey, here's a little gasoline on your fire. [laughs] Nice. Just so [laughs] like, oh, no, no, no. Right.
- 24:29Well, wait, wait, what do you mean? No, no, no. Yeah, that guy.
- 24:31I was doing, I was checking in someone at Winter Park Resort, and when I finished, this woman looks at me, and she's like, "Were you just doing the guy from Office Space?" I'm like, "Yeah."
- 24:40She's like, "That was [laughs] really good." [laughs] I'm like, "Thank you." [laughs] Uh, if anybody's interested, Fat Tire Tour of Green Bays tomorrow.
- 24:49I was interested, and then, uh, I remembered that Strummerfest is going on. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So neither of you are going to SingleSpeed USA? No. [exhales] No.
- 24:57I am- Strummerfest might be fantastic Even though, e- even though it's well over a day away, I'm still iffy because- Mm-hmm... the weather is supposed to be poopy. Ooh. But I, you know what?
- 25:06That might be a good reason to go, because poopy weather usually leads to fun-ass times. [laughs] And, uh, isn't there a Colin Ayre Ford? Yeah, Ford's gonna be there. Yeah, these are things, and DJ- And, I mean-...
- 25:17and, and, and, and Dirty- Yeah. I mean, there are, there, there are definitely-... and the guys from, uh, Arizona and... attractions to go, but yeah.
- 25:23I'll have to go and- I gotta finish a house here, guys, or I'm gonna get in trouble.
- 25:26Well, the thing too is though, the other thing is that I have to go up to Cable, Hayward for the first NICA race of the year the following weekend, so I'm gonna be gone Friday through Monday that weekend too.
- 25:37It's a busy time of year for having fun out there- [laughs]... on your bike, uh, so. I've seen, uh, I've seen your, your son- Practicing? In, in, in pack on the, uh, Oak Leaf- Yeah, is he like-...
- 25:48with like all of these other ones Is he like, "Why do we have to do this?" No. No, at least there, you know, he was part of... I was just like, "Yeah, I know this-" Did he just hair cut? Yeah, he looks like a hippie.
- 25:57He got it trimmed- Okay... but it's still long like a hippie. Nice. Yeah. Nice hair trim. Yeah. No, it looks good. Yeah. It was funny.
- 26:02I was just like [laughs] I'm just like looking and watching- Just rocking the hair while he's on the bike... and I wasn't expecting, and I'm just like, "I know that kid." [laughs] Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Um, yeah,
- 26:13I, uh, I [sighs] I just think they- And they weren't, they weren't intrusive on the Oak Leaf... they, they, it, well- I'll just say that. They were nice...
- 26:18they're not, they're not pretending these aren't races, and it's like, "Well, if you're gonna race, you should really try to win." I'm like, "Yeah, not really sure that's true." Then why do you call it a race?
- 26:27Because getting DFL is just as- Mm... important as becoming the first-place guy across the line. Mm-hmm. And having a shit-ton of fun regardless. And having fun, yeah, so.
- 26:35I mean, that's part of it, as far as I'm concerned. Uh, reminder now that I'm on the thing with the reminders- Now... is that we have ice cream trucks- Oh, yeah... temporarily.
- 26:47Make with the, you know, getting with us, but, uh- Get one of them, their ice cream trucks... I, I don't, here's the deal. These were allocated a year and a half ago. They're not- Right...
- 26:57there's [laughs] not gonna be more this year. There will be none no more. You either wanna do it now or never. Or, yeah, wait till next season. Next year, basically. And circling back- Um, you know what?
- 27:07I for- Circl- I keep forgetting to say this. We've, uh, Steven's building up an APE right now, the last large APE we have, I think. Ooh. Maybe.
- 27:14But he also built up a couple of 29+'s, and we have a Tatanka fat bike, which is awesome too. Yeah. So anyway. What does a, an ice cream truck run? I only, what's the MSRP? Even, like, 22-ish.
- 27:25Yeah, that's, that's a- Or 16... that's a great winter bike for that kinda money. Yeah, they got nice spec on them. They're pretty, pretty well built for the money, and I would say- One by 12?...
- 27:33got the buds and the loos on there, and yep. Yeah. One by 12, of course. Nice. Nice. Yeah, good stuff. So, all right, everybody. Circling back to Center Street days and whatever. Yeah, Center Street days.
- 27:45We, we, we spoke to Kenny Nielsen, and we're, like, thinking about, oh, I don't know, the Steel Is Real, that mileage ride? Oh, yeah. Oh, look, I'm wearing a Steel Is Real shirt. All right.
- 27:54We do need to get back to that. I'm thinking the 17th of September might be the right day. That's, that- I think I can do that. Well- There, there's something about the tents- We'll just do it...
- 28:02that would be nostalgic to do that If anybody listening to the show wants to go, that's how you get in. Otherwise, can't come. Can't. Can't come. Seats taken. You ain't part of it until you tell you heard us on the show.
- 28:12Seats taken. We- [laughs] I heard about this on the show. Well, knowing that, we should probably do a pre-ride at least one time. Sure. Right. Sure. Maybe this weekend if I don't go to SS USA. Yeah. Yeah.
- 28:28All right, thank you. Thank you, people. Thank, thanks- Very soon... thank you again for, for your- Mm... spending your valuable time with us. We'll, we'll be back here for show 179 and the
- 28:39extra hit on Wikipedia that that entails. Yeah. All right, bye.
