- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: All right, welcome in, welcome in.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: It is Tuesday evening, the 16th, man, less than 10 days till Christmas.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: Carl, I'm at Kendall, joined with Carl Dumbler.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's time for an episode of Building the Broncos, or that, I guess maybe the built Broncos with how they play in right now.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: They are a wagon as the kids like to say.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: An absolute powerhouse that seems to be Denver.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos, winners of
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: 11 in a row, 12 in a row at home and the singular best record in the NFC with just three weeks to go.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: I say it every week, Carbel, I'm still kind of like pinching myself that we are where we're at after the last decade and doing these shows where it's been like, we're going to come on the show and try not to be too obvious that we don't believe in Drullock or Trevor
- 1:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're not texting Chad going, when can we start talking about the draft?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: Or do that anyway, but that's actually ask permission, especially if the super chat's coming and asking about it.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, no, today we're going to talk a little bit about the Green Bay Packer game.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos injuries, of course, unfortunately three, three notable ones.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think coming out of that game a little bit of roster moves with the running back position here, the last 48 hours.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: shocking.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, to me, shocking, not shocking for how he's played and being on a good team, but though next emerging in the MVP race, now the odds say that the MVP races
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: Over, even with three weeks left, I mean, to have minus odds or any singular player is saying that it's probably over, but still, I mean, pretty darn miraculous.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: So click the thumbs up on the way in, say hello in the chat, like, subscribe, share all that good stuff, happy up.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot my Santa had a game Carl.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so upset.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's downstairs.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: Just hit me.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: I wore it every year in December and I've been just it's the move is really made things a little bit Fubar, but we got Doug coming in here saying no way it's a trap game Denver needs this game.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's huge as the jacks coming out and they would hold a tiebreaker.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think I tweeted out Carl.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: I tweeted out a lot of nonsense and garbage and whatever, so maybe didn't see it, but
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: FTN puts out the weekly power rankings and playoff odds, and they actually have the Broncos' as like that far and away highest chance to win the number one seed, obviously.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: But the number two team in their simulations as the second highest odds to win the number one seed is the Jacksonville Jaguars, over the paint drips, over the chargers.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: So, really could be a, you know, a deciding game for the Broncos.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, Broncos obviously holding the tiebreaker over the Patriots and so in reality, there are a game and a half ahead, and I think most are expecting the Broncos to probably go to in one to finish season, but I mean, it's still up in the air on that obviously.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_04]: And Jags.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_04]: Let's make it one or no.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Then the next one.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_04]: But I mean, other than this game against us, Jags have what I think the Titans and the Colts left.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_04]: and Colts are completely falling apart.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: They played Seattle tough though.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to them.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_02]: They did.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: To them.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they were going to get a teeth kicked in.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm with yet, but I mean, it's still probably, I mean, those two teams are going to opposite directions at this time.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Colts are always good.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_04]: They're going to make an interesting because they are still a talented team.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you think about none of us were thinking the Colts were going to be what they were when we played them.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_04]: and all of a sudden it was pretty obvious they were the best team in football at that time.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_04]: I mean that they were just the offense was looking historical, the defense was looking
- 4:09[SPEAKER_04]: looking good, not great, I would say, but when you've got a historical offense, you don't have to have a great defense.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_04]: And so just to see what they are now, it's just tough to see.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, this is what injuries can do.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, I saw something earlier, they're showing how many players are on IR right now.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_04]: Do you know which team has the fewest players on IR?
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: I retweeted it, speaking of Twitter, it's the Raiders.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, there you go, okay, you put it out there, okay, and so the fact that they are playing as bad as they are, and they have so few injuries, it doesn't vote well for that team moving forward.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: No, I don't see the direction there going so I mean, that's nice, but beyond that, back to the Broncos here, it is, it's going to be still a tough race to the finish, and part of me kind of likes that, you know, there's some scenarios out there that the Broncos could
- 4:59[SPEAKER_04]: Beat the jags, Patriots lose, bills lose, chargers lose.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I don't think all those things will happen, but part of me is like, I don't want it to happen because I don't like that idea of having to try to figure out, who do you rest, how much do you rest?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_04]: Is it really that good of an idea to not play football for a month with your starters?
- 5:20[SPEAKER_04]: You know that that that makes me a little nervous of all said and hey you haven't played in a month, but now you got to go play a meaningful the biggest game of the year against a really good opponent.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_04]: And so I do I think it's still going to be a race clear even to the final week.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: you know these are champagne problems right like I let's I would love to have that be a topic of discussion what does Denver do because they got the number one seed in the AFC too soon but it's a problem that I would love to discuss as a reality so I'm of the opinion that
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: You probably take the temperature of the guys in the locker room, but like I don't think the streak really, the winning streak really matters to them.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: The number one seed does like the winning streak doesn't really matter to them from everything I've gathered.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: And they're not really chasing history or anything.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: Also, it's about, you know, getting ready for the playoff.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: I take the temperature out of what they want to do, but I'm of the opinion that you do rest them, maybe you treat a little bit more like preseason, right where you come in, maybe they play a quarter, something like that, but I don't think it's going to be, I'm assuming it's not going to be a problem.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think the chargers and the patriots are still going to be on their heels, maybe we'll know going into that week 18 game, but got to take care of the jacks first to even worry about it.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: And this is a new
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: very good jagged team.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: I know that the FedEx air and ground players of the week, uh, Bonix is one of the candidates this week.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, I mean, best game of his career versus a good opponent.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if they'll wait it based on the opponent, but Trevor Lawrence had the best statistical day of any quarterback in the NFL this week with five total touchdowns and like 400 yards or something.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he was just, it was the jets.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: They fired Steve Wilkes,
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: there in the highlights were also ridiculous.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he had a chance to watch Trevor Lawrence going around and like running around and whipping it and being an athlete.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of the hottest quarterbacks in football and he's coming to Denver this week, so I'm going to be really excited to see.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, thank you so much Doug, good to see you.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: He says, Jackson, being anybody good on the road, only San Francisco and that was in September when San Francisco was injured.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: They will not know what hit them coming to Denver and playing us.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: They're playing well.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: They had to have
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: No, they lost a Houston in a crazy game at the very end.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: If you recall that one, that was not to think that was the Broncos by week.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't looked at the jagged schedule.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think they have five losses so far this season, but it's gonna be tough game for the Broncos.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully they take care of business.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: Denver obviously has some injuries they're dealing with.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_02]: They have not been running the ball very well as in that Raider's game, which
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know really what to make of it, but yeah, this is going to be a tough game.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think the spread is about two and a half, three and a half to Denver, so I'll be I'll be excited to see, but this is a hot team, and I really think Liam Cohen is a good offensive mind, and they got some lottery picks on that defense as well.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I was just looking at the Bengals road schedule jacks and yeah, jacks road schedule
- 8:19[SPEAKER_04]: Bengals, early in the season, week two, beat the 49ers, barely beat the Raiders, 30-29, lost to the Texans, beat the Cardinals, beat the Titans.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: So, I mean, yeah, the argument really is that their best win on the road is the 49ers, and but the Jacksonville Jaguars are also a different team now than they were early in the season.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_04]: They were still learning Cohen's system and now they look like they are one of the top three hottest teams in football.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, Broncos are the hottest because any team that has an 11 game win streak, you can't argue with that they're the hottest team in football.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_04]: Especially when they're coming off a game like what just happened against the, against the packers there and your quarterback happened his best game.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't usually wear jerseys for the show, but I had to wear a bow next today just because he had that kind of game and it, you know, he is.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about it before the season started.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_04]: If Broncos could get Botanix playing like a top 12, 14 quarterback this year, then we both thought the roster is good enough for them to be a Super Bowl contender.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_04]: And these last four weeks, I think it's pretty obvious.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's been playing like a top 10 quarterback.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_04]: Now this week, they have another top 10 quarterback over the last four weeks in Trevor Lawrence, like you said.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: he is doing some incredible things.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_04]: And so this is not going to be an easy game.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, this could be a preview of the AFC championship that we're getting ready to have.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_04]: And hopefully it's back here and Denver again.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: And just like last week, there are saying that could be a preview of the Super Bowl.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so anymore with after a couple of their injuries that the packers will be the Super Bowl.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_04]: team, but you never know.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_04]: And one that is a Super Bowl fan on this show, Michael Ron Keele coming in and saying that he gifted 10 Mile High Huddle memberships.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_04]: That is awesome to see.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, Michael for that.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thank you so much.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate that.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, you are killing it.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: You're always really do appreciate you.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: You are cash money for us.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: And speaking of cash, I know that's got to let us the other way, but we're going in the order on the sheet here.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: So speaking of cash, Carl, let's talk about it.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, let's talk about cash app.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_04]: The holidays are all about finding the perfect gift, but this time of year, not every deal is actually what it seems.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_04]: Scammers are getting more creative to trick people into sharing their payment info through methods like fake shopping sites and giveaways that are too good to be true.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_04]: Luckily, cash apps 24-7 fraud and monitoring,
- 10:49[SPEAKER_04]: helps detect and alert you for unusual card activity should someone gain access to your card, so you can act fast if something seems off.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_04]: You can also lock or unlock your cash app or card instantly right in the app for extra control and peace of mind.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_04]: Stay one step ahead of scams this season and keep your money secure with cash app.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: For a limited time only, new cash app customers can use our exclusive code to earn some additional cash.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: For real, just download cash app, use our exclusive referral code, secure 10, again, that's secure 10 in your profile.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Send $5 to a friend and within 14 days, you get $10 job right into your account.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Terms apply, that's money, that's cash app.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: Cash app is a financial services platform, not a bank, bank services provided by cash apps, bank partners, pre-vadevacards issued by Sutton Bank, member FDIC Promotions provided by cash app, a blocking corporate abandoned visit, cash.app, for its last year,
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: Alright, let's keep it rocking and roll and say a little more folks in the chat.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: We got another super chat.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: David coming in here saying Jackson Broncos are similar in ways.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: Both teams and how to use district.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Both teams know how to use district respect to their advantage and how to win close games.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I'm really impressed with what Liam Cohen's done in Trevor Lawrence is.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: looks like a franchise quarterback again.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: I know there was a bit like people were kind of you know clowning them for the contract he got and he really had not looked very good, but I really like the direction of that offense.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: They are going to be without Tutan, Basiel Tutan, I think is the first name from Virginia Tech running back fourth round pick this year and he'd been pretty good.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: So expect the heavy dose of Travis C. T. N.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: And boy, they have been a night and day difference, a different team since the trade deadline.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: Jacobi Myers has been a real catalyst for that offense and then you got Brandon Strange coming back as well, which I would kill for Brandon Strange because of how weaponized he is in the run and the quick game.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's been awesome.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: For them and again, I have a lot of respect for Liam Cohen.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's doing a heck of a job They obviously their schedule hasn't been like overly impressive, but they beat the breaks off of the chargers who I mean one of the top four records in the AFC right now I mean so we'll we'll see how it plays out, but they are they're good They're they're a solid team.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: I do think Denver as long as the Broncos by Bronco football they'll take care of business
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think for a lot of teams, I'd be worried about maybe the high after beaten the Packers and feeling themselves a little too much.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: But I think Sean Payton does a good job at manufacturing adversity and crisis.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: So everybody's, you know, on their toes.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_04]: We've not seen at least the last season in this season.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_04]: I can't remember a game where I felt like the Broncos had a let down when they should have been the favorite in a game.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_04]: And, and all of a sudden, you're still one, yeah, yeah, right, you think of the Raiders, the first game, 10 to 7, the Jets game.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the Jets game, there's a few let downs, but at the same time, they do just enough.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_04]: And, and these, these big games.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, every game this year, the two losses were last second field goals.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_04]: stupid penalty.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it did happen, but let's not sugarcoat that, but at the same time, I mean, so the Broncos have played at least to the the opponent's level in every single game.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_04]: And now, yes, some of these games they should have blown them out a lot more than they did, but
- 14:18[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, we're 12 and 2 right now.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_04]: It's hard to argue with what he's been able to do and we got feel coming in saying good evening Nick Carl and Deacon Scott.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_04]: How much do we lose with lock replacing Jones.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_04]: If any hashtag.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_04]: Buckham, Ash, I can make a change for life.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_04]: You lose some.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, there's a reason last year.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: After the especially playoff game.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_04]: The Broncos went and looked for a safety.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_04]: because they saw in that Bill's game, that was Lock's worst game.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to completely dog on Lock.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he just had a bad game.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_04]: But I think it was pretty obvious he serves as a better backup than he does a starter.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_04]: And Brandon Jones has done a lot to to really help the linebackers and coverage this year.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_04]: He's,
- 15:04[SPEAKER_04]: He's not been as good as he was last year, because he's been asked to do a few different things.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_04]: He's had a little bit more responsibility put on his shoulders than he did last year, but at the same time, anytime you lose a starter of that caliber, it's gonna hurt.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I think the Broncos can overcome it.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_04]: I think you're gonna see our first round pick, Baron, get a lot more playing time.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_04]: And maybe that helps kind of counter to a little bit.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_04]: You can probably put him at safety every once small if you want him to, or put him at slot safety or you know, he's a movable piece is what I'm trying to say there.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: And so I don't think it's going to destroy the defense by any means.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_04]: If you lost, Patrick's certain for the playoffs.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_04]: If you lost Nick Bonita, everybody knock on wood.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_04]: Zach Allen, any of those kind of guys,
- 15:56[SPEAKER_04]: but this one still hurts.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's gonna hurt.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: Locke is obviously not the same kind of mover and a safety blanket that Brandon Jones provides especially with Trevor Lawrence coming up.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: But am I really worried about not having Brandon Jones out there for Gardnerman Chew Chiefs?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Nah, I mean, you want the talent out there, but like you should still win.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the chargers as well and hopefully has not famous last words.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're offensive line is so bad.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Alt had like a
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: first team all pro kind of season against the Broncos when they went up week three and they've just had been not very good, but I mean we've seen it just in her we can play amazing and Jesse Mentor that Charger's defense coordinator is on the shortlist for a lot of teams has had coached because what he's doing with not overly talented defense.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean they've made the chiefs look pretty bad last week overall they're really good in that back seven well coach.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: So we had tough game.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: I know doubt and you want the tower you get it.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: My real concern is that
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: But Jones will be missing at least that first playoff game regardless of Broncos getting a buy or whatever because it's four games So you have these three games then whatever's the first playoff game if Denver gets the buy he misses the second game He misses the what would it be the divisional round if Denver doesn't get the buy then I'll miss the wild card round and obviously
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: you are hoping to have your best players out there for the playoff.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: So that is what I'm worried about.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully he will get good enough to be activated.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Broncos still have four IR designation for return slots available.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody can crack me on that one as well.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm wrong, they should be using one of them here.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe only three, but they should be using one on powers.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: I would imagine tomorrow.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: for the Broncos and then you still have one in your back pocket, at least for Dobbins and hopefully Jones as well, but yeah it's a bummer.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say bummer tech injury as well and hopefully lock can make some plays and make himself some money while being out there because I believe he's a free agent at the end of the year.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: I hope it goes crazy.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe get different set of eyes out there can start that turnover cascade effect.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: George Fox coming in here, super chat cascade effect.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks George for the comments.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: There's only a thing about Jacksonville.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: They're coming from sea level to mile high that has to help us over the Denver Broncos help us the over or help the over.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: Denver Broncos will have hit the thumbs up guys.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much George.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: As I mush mouth the end of
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: I, you can't kind of see it against the Packers as well, late.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: They have like the conditioning wasn't as good for them, and it's kind of nice to have a little bit of turnaround on that, because nothing bothers me more.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: Well, not bothers me, but like the Broncos historically go into Florida, and like the first month of the season where it's super humid, they get.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: wrecked a lot historically even when they've been great like going to Florida when it's muggy and hot they don't do very well so nice to have Jacksonville come into Denver and maybe that altitude can bother them and the fans I'm not expecting fans to make an 80 20 split kind of like we saw the Packers being annoying and shame on the Broncos fans who sold them to Packers.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, packed.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_04]: There's there's a few franchisees that have always had really good traveling fans Pittsburgh.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Green Bay Dallas who else yeah Dallas is another Eagles Eagles that that's a good one too.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_04]: And so I kind of expected it for the Green Bay game that it wouldn't be quite as As fired up as the chiefs Broncos game earlier
- 19:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but this one, like I said, I do expect it to be much more Broncos oriented should be very, very loud environment probably the the toughest environment that the jacks have played in all year and and so I do I hope that that leads to a couple of those fall start penalties that really back them up.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, right now, you could argue, Broncos really do have the best home environment, like I said, the altitude, but the plans are back into it.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_04]: Broncos are six and no at home this year.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_04]: They haven't lost in over a year at home.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's, is it a 14 game?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: No, not a 14 game.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: Last loss at home was the first week, or excuse me.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the first or second week of October is that chargers home game?
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: And then they want to go after that.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: So that was the last loss at home crazy.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, there you go.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_04]: And so it just shows that this really has been a great place for the Broncos.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_04]: And Bonyx.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_04]: and probably the biggest game to the year.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_04]: He has risen to the occasion.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_04]: He has come to the top.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_04]: I was reading something earlier today about how well he's done against teams that are top 10 defenses.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_04]: He's played five teams and depending on which stat you're looking at, of course.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_04]: But five teams, you could argue, chiefs, chargers, eagles, Houston, and Packers.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_04]: And he is, he's four in one against him.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: I think he had like a quarterback rating of like 98 against them nine to one touchdown to interception ratio, pretty good completion percentage.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's played really well in those games.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's not just, you know, like last year, some people kind of dogged on them because a lot of his big stat games were against bad teams.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: But understand it, this year.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know why not.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: And the ghost of the chiefs that was the week 18 game.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I do get it in that sense, but this year you've seen him rise up in those games be a positive for the team many times outplayed their opponents quarterback part of that's because Bronco's defense does so well too, but but part of it also is next rising to the occasion and and doing well with that.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_04]: So I do expect him to really get up for this one and and have himself a really good game.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_04]: Jacksonville doesn't have the best secondary
- 21:53[SPEAKER_04]: They've been really good against the run, but they will give up some yards through the air.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that fits well with the Broncos.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_04]: I worry about that Jacksonville offense right now because like I said, they're firing on all cylinders.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_04]: Student beanguns gonna hurt, but still, they've got a strong run game.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_04]: Offensive lines have been playing well.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_04]: passing game ever since they got mire has been lighting things up in mire.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_04]: Last week playing Josh Jacobs, he's always given me nightmares from his time with the Raiders.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_04]: Mire's kind of the same thing.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_04]: He's one of the few wider severs of Ted's success against the secondary over these last few years.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm not discounting what they have by any means.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_04]: They are a really good team.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, their talent and Trevor Lawrence is playing good football.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they have
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: pieces, uh, defensively to really hang.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: And if you remember the beginning of the season, they were like on a toward turnover pace, like on not like the Broncos three game four games stretch, five games stretch that they had the middle of 2023, where it's like, oh, the most turnover is in that game's fans since 1991.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, guess what?
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like that's probably sustainable.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and it wasn't.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: the Jags kind of have regressed some defensively on that front.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: And the offense in turn has really stepped up overall.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you mentioned at Trevor Lawrence, we'll get into it in a second.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: But MVP odds, he's up there right now.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's it's a tie for fourth for a lot of players, a lot of quarterback specifically.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's the Jags offensively since week 10 are
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: 11th in EPA per play.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: They're drop back.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: They are 10th and they're rush success rate.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: So it's only 17th.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: Denver has honestly been better than them in a lot of those stats too.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: Since week 10, that's the Jacobi Myers trade and they've had some, you know, clubs here there, but we're not going to take them likely.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_02]: Denver won't take them lightly and hopefully the fans don't take them lightly.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: I know that like midseason talk about the playoffs and everybody's kind of discounting the jags.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: And as much as I'm just counting the jags as much as I'm just counting anybody in the AFC right now, right?
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if other than the Broncos, anybody truly is dominating.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: Probably the team that scares me the most is the Texans honest to God, but especially with Stroud being back and how he's played of late, but we'll see how it plays out.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: I've got Pearl here.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: Want to say hi to Pearl.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: One of our favorites.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you William.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: You can have to run the ball.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: Deal will have to be lights out this game.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: Keep the jags off on top of the field and run the game.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think if you, it's again it for the Broncos winning on the early downs is just so important.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: Make Trevor Lawrence kind of be a little bit either quick game and he's not the best quick game quarterback or erratic, you know, gun slinger and turn in the ball over.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: That's, you win those early downs and get those obvious pass downs with this pass rush.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: You can do it.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: Dangal, very sports.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you happy Tuesday.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: Alamo in here, hanging out, great to see you.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: Ernie Mays, go Broncos Country only.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you, Mark Kelly in the house too.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, Denver Luke, any update on Harvey.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get into the injuries here in a second, but they'd want to say hello to you.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, a very interesting game.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_02]: We got the spread earlier.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: We were talking, it's three.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I was pretty close with my two and a half to three and a half.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: And if you feel like you got to beat on the Broncos this weekend, probably want to check out our friends over at Underdog.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: That was me.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: We got Joey Grubbs coming in here.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: So now you play them talking about the play and the vets.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_02]: We got Lee Roy coming in says what's up guys believe we are the overdogs loving it.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: Go Broncos.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: I really love the nickname overdogs just because people keep discounting them and talk about games overdog.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's great.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_02]: I saw somebody in your comment.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: I like the overlords better, but I really love overdogs and it's kind of organically come from the team itself.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: So, appreciate that bonus as selling some merchant donating to Denver rescue as well.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: So, if you like that.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: I probably wouldn't be in on it.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna have to win some meaningful games in January, February, for that name to probably stick.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember like the ground control for the Broncos, for that like three weeks stretch?
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember that nickname for the defense?
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: I've just, you gotta win some hardware or be special to have it stick, but I mean, people keep discounting and they keep winning.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's gonna be a historical one.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: So good to see Michael, thanks for that.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: We got to Nick's for six, love that.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Bo is turning it on at the right time.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for the comment.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: We got Ace of Spades coming in with the Laughing Reaction.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully it's not at us, or it's made my hair do.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to haircut tomorrow starting to look a little crazy.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: They left it too long on the side.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: So we're getting it down.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: The Diablo Bronco says this team is on stop a bow.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: Love it, love all the plays on the words.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we got Jason also coming in here, finishing the season with three out of four at home.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: And three that matter most is huge.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm almost a little bummed at my home, I am bummed, I'm not going to be heartless, you know, my home is getting hurt, that stinks.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: I wish it could have been us beating my homes to knock them out of the playoffs.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: I just, especially because we haven't won, we the Broncos haven't won in Kansas City since 2015.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: We do, I'm pretty sure, and now it's going to be like, well, we're already eliminated and we didn't have my homes.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're right.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like it'd be nice to nice to beat them without little caveats or qualifiers on it.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll get a chance again next year.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully we take care of it.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then that streak in arrowhead regardless caveat, Astrix, whatever they want to have.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_04]: Will be, will be, though, I, I don't know how much he's going to play next year.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's true.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm expecting him to be back until I hear otherwise.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: He's a buggy man.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to Michael Myers it and get up again.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: But again, he's won that.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: I know they have the LCL injury too.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: Am I correct to ACL and LCL?
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: Science is great.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: Science medical miracles is just unbelievable what they can do with these guys.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what happens there on that front.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: But speaking of quarterbacks and MVP, caliber quarterbacks.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: Bonus.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: emerging as an MVP candidate.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: Carl right now, Bonix, I have a sports book here.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: I won't say which one because pay us to say your name, but they have a Bonix tied for fourth in MVP odds with only three games to go in.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to win it.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just based on where the actual odds are, but the fact that he's even listed with how he looked the first
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: three to three, 10 as I had all where, you know, okay, but man, these last four weeks.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: But the Broncos win it as much as they have.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's in the conversation, wouldn't have my vote, but that is still a testament to how great he's been on the rookie contract.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's that's incredible.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: Bonus top four tied with four of the players in the MVP chase.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, he's got some stats that are on his side.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's, I think the Broncos are tied for the most comebacks in a season right now in NFL history.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_04]: So they do it one more time.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_04]: and they've got the record.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that's something to speak of.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_04]: A quarterback that doesn't crumble when the pressure's at its highest, when you need a guy to go make a play.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_04]: And this year he has.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's not just been the defense making plays to keep him in a dead end of the game.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's no, the giants game that we were at.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, obviously, he had about three or four big throws in that game right there, just in the fourth quarter, to get them back into that game.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_04]: You think of,
- 30:59[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, the chiefs game, there's a few throws in that game.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_04]: The Houston game against the number one defense on the road to go to the things he did, the big run, couple big throws, the Argy Harvey touchdown.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_04]: And so he's got those MVP moments that you're looking for.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_04]: And you're right, he's not going to win it this year.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_04]: Matthew Stafford pretty much has it wrapped up at this point.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_04]: I can't see unless somebody, unless, like,
- 31:27[SPEAKER_04]: six touchdowns a game for the next three and all of a sudden, you know, 18 touchdowns zero intersections, you know, something crazy like that that's not going to happen.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_04]: But, but no, it's just it's good to see that we have a quarterback that's in that kind of conversation, the fact that he's trending in the right direction and it gives you a lot more hope going into next year, you know, where like I said, it was first 10 weeks.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_04]: Like, yes, it was great.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_04]: The Broncos were winning.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_04]: But you're kind of going we can't we can't live this way.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_04]: We can't have our quarterback be this detrimental for three quarters.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, it's great that he comes back and does it in the fourth quarter, but you need something a little bit more if you're going to be a consistent team like you can't pay this kind of quarterback long term.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_04]: And, and so now to see him actually doing it on a more consistent basis through all four quarters.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_04]: And, and you're seeing him be the part of the reason, and sometimes even the main reason, the Broncos are winning games.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_04]: Like, like, I would argue, yes, the defense made a couple big plays for the team to help them win this game.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_04]: But the defense didn't have a great game by any means.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_04]: You think of the Washington game.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_04]: That was not a good game for the defense.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_04]: And both those games, Bonix made some really, really big throws to keep them in the game.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_04]: And it's great to see Broncos can win multiple ways now.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's not just our defense has to play lights out.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_04]: And then we squeak by with the last minute touched down.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_04]: It's no offense.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_04]: We can go win some games for you.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_04]: So I am.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited for Bonix.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited for our playoff chances.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Broncos really, you got to be able to say it now.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_04]: favorite.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'd put them top four for sure.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't think it's that big of a stretch to say top two.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_04]: And we got Phil coming in saying, if we finished 14 and three, go to it out in the playoffs.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_04]: One and no in the Super Bowl is Peyton coach of the year.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: He should do a vote on that.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think they've voted at the conclusion of the regular season.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, it won't be for, yeah, won't be for playoffs.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I think it gets announced at the
- 33:38[SPEAKER_04]: the weekend between championships and Super Bowl.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_04]: But this is probably the one award that I have some, some major problems with when they're voting.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_04]: Because it does seem like so much of it is based on your team being bad the year before, you came in and coach them to become a great team.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_04]: It's not usually who was the best coach of the year.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: It's just who increased their teams most, their wins by the most.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_04]: And if we're probably going by that, you're probably looking at Mike Frable, you're looking at Cohen, who we're playing this week.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_04]: Those kind of guys, yeah.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_04]: Those guys that take their team from worst to first, where Broncos were a playoff team, I do think Sean Payton's worthy of it.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_04]: Because, I mean, this team, people thought the Broncos were gonna be good.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think anybody thought Broncos would be number one seed possible, like I said, top two team looking at the Super Bowl right now.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: There's two coaches who are Hall of Fame caliber that will not get coached the year this year because of what you talked about Carl, but they are padding their resume to be in Canton.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: Probably both of them need to win another super bowl, but
- 34:53[SPEAKER_02]: He mentioned variables going to win it probably.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, going from what they put where they pick unless you're for overall, to now picking, uh, really good team this season.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: Ben Johnson, with everything they've done, uh, with the bears, and then as you said, uh, who was going to go in?
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, jags as well, picking pretty high.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think they were like six last year and traded up, but she, uh, Kyle Shane a hand with how injured and, I mean, just crazy amount of
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: very good Christian McCaffrey's old him in brand the whole brand and a youth thing going on there Shuffling quarterbacks Kalshane Han also deserves a shout out.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean I'm really impressed with what they've done and also Sean Payton.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'll we're talking about Bonix being a top four MVP candidate right now top seven if you include everybody with the same odds, but tied for fourth, but yeah, Sean Payton's a big reason why that's happening.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what he's done
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: dare even say they know the city for the Broncos.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this is a Bronco town.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: He is revitalized this organization.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: This is a championship expectation franchise now.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: He set the bar early, which I always was a little bit hesitant, you know, undersell overperform.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: Heck, I mean, right now they're right in the thick of things.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned at top three, top four,
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: the path is open there.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: And now granted, I think anybody could probably beat anybody in the AFC, but Tarn, I like the Broncos chances if they're playing at home.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, for good comment, I did want to get just into the specifics of the odds, Carl just so the folks at home have it for the MVP race.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: So right now, a massive favorite for MVP, Matt Stafford minus 260.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's,
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to get it and he deserves it too.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean top Matt Stafford and Hall Famer in my book.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: What he's done with that Rams career after just being.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like your favorite analysts or film watchers favorite quarterback for a number of years to finally have a success now.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: Really happy for him out there in L.A. and I think he he does deserve it after that.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: Still Drake may at plus 380, but that's a pretty big change because right there was
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: bottom 10 defense over there in Buffalo and a team that really lacks weapons in the past game.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Josh Allen is a freaking dude.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: He's unbelievable.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_02]: He scares me in the playoffs, but Grina, you're gonna have to play somebody great eventually anyway, so bring it on.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then after that, you have a...
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: one, two, three, four-way tie for.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: So Drake might as a plus 380, Josh Allen, a plus 600.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: I might, if I was sprinkling it on anything right now, I'd sprinkle on Josh Allen with how he's playing.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: But then you got Bonix at plus 10,000, Justin Herbert at plus 10,000, same-dernal at plus 10,000, and then Trevor Lawrence, got we've talked about it a lot today, at plus 10,000 as well.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: So it's quarterback award, and there's some people get annoyed about that, but yet,
- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: Bonax tied forth for MVP shout us to the team shout out to him.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's been an unbelievable turn around Carl.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_02]: If you to told me that when I was sitting there in the stands having the wind burn my face watching that Thursday night football game where Bonax, I mean just one of the ugliest offensive performances of the season that in the jet's game, you looked at me and say
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: I would have probably called the heavy committed.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, you are.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: I need a new host.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: This is guy.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's way too much of a Homer for me.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, reality stranger than fiction.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like I said, it is crazy to see ever since that many by week.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_04]: Right before the chief's game.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_04]: I know he deactivated his social media.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_04]: I doubt he's the one that posted about the overdog thing for the rescue mission.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sure you approved it, but you know, he hasn't been on social media.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_04]: He's just really locked in because I think that was not a wakeup call, but like, I've got to be better.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_04]: My team cannot get where they want and it can't pretty much, he didn't want it to be because of him.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_04]: You know, if you are losing the Super Bowl,
- 39:10[SPEAKER_04]: And everybody looks at you as the quarterback like if we had a better quarterback we could have done something we even had an average quarterback we could have done something and I think he just he hates to lose that much and to let people down and and so he's just been.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_04]: He's just been cooking.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he does.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_04]: He looks like a completely different quarterback.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_04]: He is not trying to escape the pocket every chance he gets.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_04]: He's not getting the happy feet that he was.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_04]: He's actually looking a lot more calm.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_04]: The touchdown to Troy Franklin, the one that counted, not the other one.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_04]: You know, earlier in the year, when he stepped up in the pocket, it was like he was on a dead sprint.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_04]: And then a lot of those throws, you know, when they, they floated on them and yeah, where this one, it was, it was a step up, but it was, hey, keep my feet below me and, and then it was just a perfect throw, perfect timing and, and that was the moment that I was just like, okay, that this is it like we've got, we've really got as good a chance as anybody to go out there and win this super bowl because when he's, he's making those kind of throws, he's that confident.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_04]: The coaches are trusting him to go make that kind of throw where it's right between three guys in the red zone like that, that's something special, you know, and so I do I love what he's showing I love the confidence that they're having it's no longer.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_04]: as much the the screen screen run, you know, earlier in the year, it just you could tell there there was just this very big disconnect between Bonyx, Sean Payton, and and I think there were times where Sean Payton's like, I'm not sure I'm trusting that he's seen the field right.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_04]: And so there was a lot more, hey, you've got one read, like you just got to hit the screen.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_04]: And we're just going to hope that our guys can make somebody miss now it's more nope we're getting the ball down the field where we're thrown to the middle of the field like we weren't before We're getting more guys involved and and the other big thing the weapons have been have taken a step up to.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: All right Frank.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Troy Franklin he had a great contested catch this last game where earlier in the year I don't think he's making that catch.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_04]: you look at, then trying to get Marvin Membs a little bit more involved in the offense.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_04]: That's a good thing.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_04]: I hope that they keep doing that finding more ways to get him involved.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_04]: And, and then even Bandy getting involved in the game of all people to be the first touch down of the game.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_01]: Little Jordan.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, little Jordan Humphrey.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's looking better than he did last year.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_04]: He looks like a whole new receiver for the Broncos.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_04]: So, like I said, it's good to see
- 41:58[SPEAKER_04]: And so I mean, you could argue who's the number two, but I'll give it to Brian right now.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_04]: So we got Tyler Brooks coming in though, saying, great show guys, Merry Christmas.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_04]: I'm cleaning Wells Fargo Bank in Knoxville, Iowa, listening, Go Broncos, Super Bowl, Bound Bow, let's bow.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_04]: Well, Merry Christmas to you as well.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_04]: And hopefully your cleaning is going well.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_04]: Glad we can make it a little bit more enjoyable.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, let us know some of the combinations.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if we don't need to go hocks.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: Also, yeah.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: Right there.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: I enjoy the comment here from Bluestone Man.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: Nick, you're the Homer.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I've ever been called a Homer on here before, so I appreciate it.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm being too optimistic.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I got to be a little bit more of a cramudgeon in here.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen too much sun out here in Denver, but as far as the Broncos go and be in a Homer, set it when the Broncos went on in that windster, or beat the Eagles.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's impressive to beat the Eagles.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: Anything can happen in one game, right?
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like one game, seeing some crazy things happen, some crazy results.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: Then the Broncos might all be more impressive.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: They go on these next four games and win.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: So that was the both the Texas teams and both the New Jersey teams Not New York, but the New Jersey teams like that's more impressive to win all four of those than to win one game in Philly in my opinion because it's so hard to win a single game in the NFL and I got the Broncos haven't lost Since then before then, but like since then as well, which
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: unbelievable.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: I've said it almost every show to like take a step back and like appreciate how rare it is to win this many games in the NFL, but also win this many in a row.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just it's crazy.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's even though the bronchers are good.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: They could be more talented than they are right now in a better team and not have the win streak.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's a little obviously a little bit of game to game hooking us involved in that well, but just appreciate it because it's that's that's what makes football so great.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's a chaos sport set the same thing after the team's game for bone X Carl.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: the one good game against chiefs.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: That's good.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_02]: The overall sample, though, the season has been erratic.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a lot of the footwork stuff bailing early on pockets, getting to check down it's too soon.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: Deep field in accuracy on some of the throws.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, awesome to see him play better in that chiefs game.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be more impressive if you can keep this up.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: You know, or even like a slight step back, but like not have those lows.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: And boy, it's only four games.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: But he's coming off the best game of his career.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: And he was good against the Raiders.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't ask him to reinvent the wheel.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know, just drive the bus, keep it in between the lines, drive in the right lane.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_02]: Good job, keep it on the school.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: We're in a school zone, keep it 25.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: He did that.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: That was great.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then play well against the commanders, as well.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: Come off the buy and everything.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: So again, it is still only four games.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: But they've been really franchise quarterback level, four games like,
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: going to be one of the top eight quarterbacks in the league if that is your baseline going forward.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: I still want to see it longer.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see it versus different opponents.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see it in the playoffs.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: If he doesn't play like that in playoffs, it doesn't mean that he sucks.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's just I want to add to that sample of meaning for football with him playing well.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I'm always very skeptical to like buy in.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: Full is not my a little bit more hesitant, but like how he's put these last four weeks, it's hard not to start to be like, holy shit, man, like we might have something here.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I still remember when Sean Payton was getting interviewed and said, this is like one of seven teams that I've ever had that I felt like could go win the Super Bowl.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_04]: And I remember national media guys were just eating that alive.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_04]: Like are you kidding me?
- 45:38[SPEAKER_04]: You know, this is just Sean Payton throwing out his big words.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, honestly, most of the things that he has said since he's been in Denver, like even at the time when they sounded crazy, they've been proven to be true.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_04]: And so far this year, I mean, he's been right.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_04]: This has been a team beyond what most people ever thought it would be.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_04]: Most people thought they were a playoff caliber team, but number one in the AFC, maybe number one in the NFL.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think most people outside of Denver would have been saying anything like that.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_04]: And I kind of remember, I was doing a show with Eric one time,
- 46:18[SPEAKER_04]: And we were talking about what we thought could happen this year.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_04]: And when he said that he thought the Broncos could go he's either 13 or 4 or 14 and 3, 13 and 4.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: 13 and 4.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_04]: And I just remember because Eric's usually pretty reserved on those kind of things as well.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, what are you seeing?
- 46:35[SPEAKER_04]: Because usually I'm the eternal optimist.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_04]: I'm the guy that sees all the good and how all the questions are going to turn out right for the Broncos.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_04]: And
- 46:44[SPEAKER_04]: And so far, I mean, it has the Broncos have turned everything to the right side of things that the young guys have stepped up that the rookie classes look good.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_04]: The second year guys are playing out of this world right now.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, like I said, for a Franklin had a nice bounce back game after he had couple games where the Broncos weren't using him as much.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_04]: And Bo Nix, like I said, last four games.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think it's even an argument.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_04]: He's been a top 10 quarterback of last 10 games or four games, sorry, four games.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_04]: top, top five.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm even like unbelievable.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, people given me the crow in here yet, but and I know it's all, you know, in good fun.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm out of funded by it because I'd give it right back to them.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_02]: But bonus is playing really, really good football.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: Again, it's still only four games, but like this is this caliber of play is obvious franchise quarterback.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how it isn't.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_02]: There's also I've also said when he was struggling the beginning of the season.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: There's no reason to rush that to name him or label him anything because you still had two, three years of contract left as well.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: So right now he's playing really good football.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: And there's no doubt about that.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's since week.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_02]: taking out garbage time.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll only win probability plays from 10 to 90 percent over the last five weeks for games for Broncos.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's number two in EPA per play.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's number five in success rate.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: The only quarterback who is better than him in EPA per play is Jordan love and you have Josh Allen Drake may and Trevor Lawrence taking up top five behind him as well.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: So bonus actually for in success rate.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_02]: Excuse me, not fine.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_02]: Don't want to jipp him.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: So he's playing awesome, awesome football.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's protecting the ball.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_02]: maybe a little bit lucky with some drops in this packer's game as far as interceptions go, but he was hunting to and you're I'm all live with a little bit of ball in a harms way.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: If you're also hitting explosives down the field, which they were.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, yeah, I mean, you're never going to hear me, probably Google Gaga for a guy on the Broncos, and less they're like, you know, playing Peyton Manning 2013 level, which the bar is very
- 48:54[SPEAKER_02]: This is a guy who's, you have a chance to win a Super Bowl with and not just because he's tagging along, but you can win games because of him.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_02]: Is he taking the New York Jets this season to the playoffs?
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like the infrastructure is undoubtedly good around him.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's part of the equation for him.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: a year and a half in and it looks like he's taken a leap so really excited to see what that looks like going forward and I think there's even another level that we can get to as well with him with a little bit more athleticism and just that aggressiveness down to down so I'm excited to see it and top four tied for fourth and MVP.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: Crazy to think about that, considering where he was, but man, he is playing really, really good football right now.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just excited to watch and share what I see with you guys and just be a part of it from where I sit.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_04]: I'm with you.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_04]: It's just the idea that we could maybe have our franchise quarterback.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_04]: You know, we're not quite the Patriots where we had like three or four down.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_04]: years, and then found our franchise guy, and they're going, oh, we had to suffer for three years, you know, we had with 10 years of bad.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_04]: And so just trying to sit back and enjoy the ride while we can.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_04]: And I mean, like I said, we could have a better team next year.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_04]: There's a good chance Broncos are better next year as that not overall roster.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_04]: They could have depending on comp picks.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_04]: Broncos could
- 50:34[SPEAKER_04]: They have top 10 cap space that they can go out there and spend.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_04]: They've got the Walmart money that they can go out there and throw a lot of cash around.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_04]: If they really want to go crazy, you know, like I said, this could be an even better roster next year, and we might not see an 11 game win streak, like we've seen right here.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_04]: The Broncos have had a couple of bounces go their way.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, but you have to have that.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_04]: The 2015 season Broncos had some bounces go their way.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's part of a championship thing that happens for you, the chiefs, all their super cool years.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_04]: They had a couple things bounce their way and you have to, yeah, you have to, but at the same time, you take advantage of the bounces that you get and so far the Broncos have been able to do that and they don't panic when the bounces don't go their way.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_04]: You know, RJ Harvey fumbling on the first drive, oh well, you know, I mean, it's not
- 51:31[SPEAKER_04]: You know, deepens holds them to a field goal.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_04]: Offence takes a little bit go in there to start off.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_04]: Down, 60, row, no, we're good.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_04]: Down, nine points, up, we're good.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody's gonna go make a play.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_04]: And that's what you love to see about this team.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like they just expect somebody's gonna do something, it's gonna keep them in this game.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's playing really good football, man.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: Really excited to see what it looks like going forward.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_02]: Man, as long as Sean Peyton is here with the ball mart money as well, a lot of draft picks they have, I'm, I'm excited about it overall.
- 52:07[UNKNOWN]: So I think, how I'm in.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I
- 52:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so hesitant to throw out like for sure franchise quarterback as the F word because like I'm talking when I say franchise I'm talking about like a top 10 like the two was not a franchise quarterback rock purdy the knees not a franchise quarterback.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_02]: There's some like good ones who I'm like They're good.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I categorize them as franchise quarterbacks.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm not ready to say same Donald is a franchise quarterback.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's having a good year, but Baker may field.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure he's a franchise quarterbacks like the bar for me is like
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt top 12 top 8 for that kind of guy and if the last four games are any indication of what we have come in forward.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be ready to say it, but I'm gonna use my time.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: I got more games still to that I hope that it is what we've seen so far.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I did sing, you're in a half.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty much what you want to see for a guy as long as they are not Josh Rosening out there for their first season or then you typically want to see where they're at halfway through their second year you should get kind of an indication of where they're going to be a baseline.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: growth is not guaranteed for one thing.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't mean just because they get a year and a half doesn't mean that they're going to figure it out.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: But that's typically what you want to see as somebody's figuring out in the league and it looks like things are starting to get figured out.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: So Nick don't be a clown.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: I can't help it.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here to entertain.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_02]: Let me hunk my nose here real quick.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's he's definitely a great quarterback for the Broncos, but it's okay.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: Nick doesn't know what a franchise quarterback is.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_02]: S screw it.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you're right.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't know, but there.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's and he's playing great football and he's a top.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, gosh, he's he's trending towards being a top 10 quarterback in the in the league this season.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think I'm with you where.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_04]: I, I hate to even put Jane Daniels in this kind of category, but I do worry a little bit that he said in that direction of RG three.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_04]: I have a question, yeah, but the, the injuries have you definitely concerned of where he's going with that.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_04]: And Drake may he's had an incredible season, but I'm not sure you can fully say, hey, he's the no doubt or sure future just because like I said, you need to see it from one season to the next where this is a guy that Everybody continues to mention as a top 10, top 12 quarterback because once you pay him as top five money.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_04]: If they're not truly a top 10, 12 quarterback every single year, good luck to you.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I think of Joe Flacco when he was with Ravens, great on a rookie contract, but you pay him to get a little bit tougher to build that roster around him.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_04]: You know, you lose a few guys.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_04]: Even like the, the bankals right now, you pay two receivers top 10 money, and then you pay a quarterback top five money,
- 55:04[SPEAKER_04]: it gets tough to build the rest of the roster.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_04]: And now you're seeing Joe Burrow look like the most miserable man in football.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I hate watching him get interviewed because I mean, he just looks like a completely destroyed man right now.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_04]: And so yeah, I love what Nix is doing.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_04]: And if he continues down this trend, like you said, he goes playoffs and does well there, then yeah, you start really talking about it up.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, how soon can we get a contract done?
- 55:34[SPEAKER_04]: You also can't forget the first 10 weeks of the season and say, okay, he was great when he when he wasn't always great that there were some concerns there that you have to worry about and so he's on his way.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's as good as the concerns really it's.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: You're letting them figure it out, right?
- 55:53[SPEAKER_02]: You see it out there.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: You buy in the person, the heart, the brains, the work ethic, all that stuff.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: And the raw physical gifts that he has, and it's like, okay, we're going to ride the roller coaster.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_02]: We'll evaluate after a year and a half and see where we're at and right now, this is, this is what franchise quarterback play looks like, and it's the best, yeah, quarterback play the blockers have had since everything leading up to that.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: Rams at St. Louis Game in 2014, definitely the best quarterback play we've seen.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, reason to be excited, really hope he keeps it up.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_02]: And if he has a bad game, guess what?
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't mean we're out either.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_02]: The home Allen, all these guys, Drake may have bad games.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: The overall sample that was heading the right way.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm really excited for it.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'm just, you know, I'm too scared to put my heart into it and toss that out there.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even ready to say like CJ Stroud as a no doubt, franchise quarterback considering his injuries and his plays.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_02]: Really talented.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_02]: What does it look like over multiple iterations multiple rosters?
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's a dude.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_04]: And I think the big thing that has me hopeful is every team spent the off season watching tape trying to figure out, okay, this is what those good at.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_04]: This is what he's bad at, how can we challenge him?
- 57:09[SPEAKER_04]: And and so teams made adjustments.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_04]: And and both struggled there at the early part of the season because teams were run a lot, a lot of zone Adam, trying to disguise a couple of coverages.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_04]: They weren't blitzing as much because they saw, okay, there's times he can do well when it's when it's blocked well in front of them.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_04]: He destroys blitzes.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_04]: And this offensive line has been blocking well.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_04]: Well, now what I've seen is he has adjusted well to playing against zone coverage.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_04]: He's starting to figure it out.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_04]: He's starting to understand the timing.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_04]: He's starting to trust his eyes.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_04]: He's starting to do a lot more presnap reads and where he's going with the football.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_04]: And so he's made the adjustment.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_04]: And to be that's what that's one of the the big signs of a franchise quarterback when teams make an adjustment hand they handle it and now he's handling it in a good way Teams are going to make another adjustment.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_04]: I have confidence that he's going to make another adjustment and boom, he's going to be ready to go again.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I'm just really loving watching them play right now, especially.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: put being a little bit more aggressive, making reads a little better, not just immediately getting the check down.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes it's gonna happen, and it's gotta keep growing, but he's playing confident football.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's just, it's playing much better, just fundamental football.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_02]: So it's been, it's been good to watch.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's been really exciting to watch and really do hope that trend continues.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: Open Michael always is hanging out with us, too.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's his great show tonight, Nick and Carl and Bill in the Broncos, Gobo Broncos.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's playing great football, this Broncos team, the offensive line.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a,
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: You need four things to be a good team long-term and the NFL.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_02]: You need to ownership the front office, the head coach, the coaching staff, and the quarterback.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_02]: Dare I say check, check, check, check for the Broncos.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_02]: So the window is open for this team, but see if we can keep it rolling.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see if we can keep it continued, but it's hard not to be.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard not to be excited about it.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, really, really awesome stuff.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks to everybody in the chat, hanging out with us today.

- 59:47[SPEAKER_02]: Carl, any final words for getting out here went a little long today.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_02]: I got in here.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_02]: I could be dealing with a sick kid.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_02]: So that's my fault for starting a little bit late, but
- 59:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it looks like it breaks his top seven tied fourth in MVP odds and he's playing top five top eight quarterback play over the last four weeks and this Broncos team is they've got warts no doubt, but like areas where like it's like a little run game show up.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_02]: What's what actually is this defense down the stretch?
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_02]: Do they have enough weapons in the past game, but man, 12 and 2 as Elias says here with a lot of smiley faces first place in the AFC and
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_02]: Really, I mean, it's hard not to be just super excited about this team.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm with, yeah, I mean, my final thoughts are, I'm just going to enjoy the ride.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_04]: In 2015, I spent the entire season just on the edge of my seat going, please just win another game.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_04]: Please, you know, and this one, I'm just like, no, just enjoy this.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's been fun.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_04]: They're fun team to watch.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_04]: They're a young team that really care about each other, and I just, you can see that and everything that they're doing, and they're locked in.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_04]: And so, help everybody has a great week, and
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully, this is another one of those weeks that we come back and we're just talking about Brock was being 13 and 2, getting over another hurdle of people going, can they be another winning team?
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_04]: And I think so.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_04]: I do think the Broncos will win this one, and I think Bonix is going to have himself another great game where people are going.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_04]: He's no longer tied for fourth.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_04]: He is if not fourth, maybe third in the MVP voting after this week.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome time.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos looks like they got their guy for a long time and let's just keep right in it and join it.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_02]: So appreciate everyone.
