[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we'll add something else in here as we go along that I might pop up and remember.

[SPEAKER_00]: The point of doing this is a to look back and think about why things went wrong with some of these takes, have some fun, be able to poke fun it yourself, I think that's critical, but also for everybody to understand.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Robert Hainesy, an Eric Murray, I was critical.

[SPEAKER_00]: of the plan at center and safety in for agency.

[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that there were better centers available.

[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that there were better safety available.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that might be true.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, but Robert Hainesy specifically has been such a high-impact individual from a culture standpoint.

[SPEAKER_00]: toughness standpoint and just getting the offense on track like he had experience with Liam Cohen.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think Liam Cohen knew that he could rely on this guy to come in and be the type of player and leader and teammate that they needed at the center position.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then you just talk about some of the runblocking stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there has been some absolute moments where he

[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's really helped Trevor and that relationship, you know, the center quarterback relationship is critical in any offense, but especially when the quarterback is in a new offense, they complicated offense as Liam Cohen's is.

[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like they made a great decision with Robert Hainesy.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing about it is they're not tied to him long term from, you know, big monetary standpoint.

[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted the Jaguar to go after Drew Dalman, who ended up being one of the most expensive players at the center position in the league.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I haven't really checked on how he's doing.

[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, I can tell you, Robert Hainesy, not a perfect player.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he has been a major upgrade for the Jaguars.

[SPEAKER_00]: He has been someone who has been steady.

[SPEAKER_00]: And in my opinion, helped them become a team that is six and four and should probably be eight and two or seven and three.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Drew Domins been damn good too, so maybe I was right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I was right that Drew Dalman would have been a great addition, but wrong about, you know, I just didn't think Robert Hainesy was going to be as good as he has been so far.

[SPEAKER_00]: It does look like Drew Dalman's doing a fantastic job, which shocks me not at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that would have been the correct decision.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I can tell you, bringing in Robert Hainesy wasn't the wrong decision.

[SPEAKER_00]: In an Eric Murray, a similar thing, he is a consummate professional leader, a guy who has helped, I think, change the culture of the back end, and he's been missing time with injury, but he's been pretty good.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's been useful for the jag wars, and maybe having a plan where you're not trying to absolutely

[SPEAKER_00]: hit home runs in free agency you're trying to land on base and then hit home runs in the draft maybe that's a good plan.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then you talk about Murray, I want to do one Holland.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's been all that for the giant so far so

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think that they did a good job addressing those spots right after free agency.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then I was excited about Kayla Branson, and I was also excited about Jonah Monheim.

[SPEAKER_00]: So those two draft picks that they had at those two spots.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was excited about those two things as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it's one thing to say, well, they didn't do a great job in free agents.

[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't get the best player they could get.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hangs has been pretty damn good, Murray's been pretty damn good, and they also drafted players to probably take over the mantle at some point.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think Jonah Monheim, so far, everything you've seen from him, has been looks like he could be a future starter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Ransal, you haven't seen enough, but you saw a good bit in training camp and, you know,

[SPEAKER_00]: in the pre-draft lead-up to where I felt good about projecting him at safety.

[SPEAKER_00]: So they've got some guys waiting in the wings there.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that those were good decisions, sound decisions, and decisions that will not tie you up financially.

[SPEAKER_00]: Good and it's gracious.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think that he would, so he's been decent in several games so far this year.

[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is when he has gone up against elite competition, he has been atrocious.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not something I ever really saw from him before.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you've seen it this year a lot.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I thought Walker little could be the Jaguar starting left tackle for, you know, I thought Walker little and Anton Harrison might not be elite bookends, but could be bookends you felt you could rely on and Anton is definitely heading in that direction, but Walker little against the Bengals, a major reason for that loss, Walker little was against the Texans in week three,

[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguar has had lost that game, you could certainly point out Walker Little's play.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I thought he would be better like statistically he'd always been better than he's been this year Maybe there was less tape on him less studying on him because he wasn't like the starter During a year You know the camera ovens in your where he was suspended yes, but it was always known that camera ovens Someone's coming back, but like last year

[SPEAKER_00]: Walker Little's past pro efficiency 97 and a half percent like he was that was that was a really good number in past pro This year it's down at 94.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean he has Pull up the offensive line stats He's allowed 38 pressures

[SPEAKER_00]: Walker Little, regardless of position on the offensive line, left tackle, right tackle, left guard, right guard center.

[SPEAKER_00]: He has allowed more pressures than anyone else.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he has tied for the most sacks allowed as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, Walker Little has been a big miss.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this is not the organization, there's not the regime that signed him, or drafted him.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it just feels like the consistency and the fundamentals is not there.

[SPEAKER_00]: He has the physical ability, the size, the athleticism, all those things.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it just seems like the fundamentals have not been there this year, consistently.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you can't just point at the offensive line coaching or something like that, because other guys have been playing some of their best ball this year.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think that he really probably was in his best role and in Baltimore as that ace in the whole,

[SPEAKER_00]: He can play wherever, but probably shouldn't be a starter.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's probably the way it should have been and they paid him a good amount.

[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted the Jaguars to sign Andre Cisco before the 2024 season.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is not due to a lack of physical ability that Andre Cisco is not thriving in the NFL.

[SPEAKER_00]: The safety position is a lot of it's between the ears, the instincts, just the cerebral play, and it just doesn't feel like Andre Cisco has that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like maybe it was starting to fly.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, maybe part of the problem is he's been on so many different defenses year to year.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it feels like, if there were, and I don't know, but it feels like with his level of talent and the flashes of the ability that he has, that there should be more consistency.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is that due to just again lack of instincts?

[SPEAKER_00]: Is it due to not getting comfortable in a specific defense?

[SPEAKER_00]: lack of focus, lack of effort, maybe he works really hard, but there's some sort of issue in between the classroom and the practice field and the game field.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it is, but he's just not as good as I thought he should have been.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he's still only 25 years old.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's been on a team that's really struggling this year.

[SPEAKER_00]: But after 2023, I was ready, signed me up, signed me up.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, in 2022 and 2023, this was a guy that had seven interceptions between those two years.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was close to, I mean, he was top five and the league amongst safety's and interceptions, I believe, over the course of that two-year stretch.

[SPEAKER_00]: For whatever reason, it just hasn't looked like it's really come together for him.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's been good and I've already done an entire video talking about how I was wrong about him.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you get him lined up three yards off the ball in zone coverage, he's probably going to execute for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's also going to try to execute to the best of his ability against the run and pursuit, hitting people, buster brown is a quality starter on this defense.

[SPEAKER_00]: I will say, among the edge rush discussion, I did say I would take a dozen of an overdrive on Walker.

[SPEAKER_00]: However, I wanted the Jaguar to take an offensive lineman.

[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted the Jaguar to take Evan Neal.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has made a mistake taking Trayvon Walker over Eden Hutchinson.

[SPEAKER_00]: But how colossal of a mistake would have been to have taken Evan Neal over both of them?

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Evan Neal, crazy athlete for his size, all the prototypical things you're looking for, hard worker, it just hasn't worked out.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's been some injuries, if slow them down, you know, not always playing on the best of offenses, but there's other guys on that offensive line for the giants who have performed well.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just coaching or offense or something like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's more to it, and it just has not worked out.

[SPEAKER_00]: And even if it does work out in the future, you can definitely say that would have been a mistake.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, seems like it was a mistake to have Everniel Overie Kim Aquano, even though he came Aquano's first two years were horrible.

[SPEAKER_00]: But having either of those guys over Aden Hutchinson or Trayvon Walker was a mistake, a big mistake.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, I'm willing to admit that, good thing I'm not running the team, probably wouldn't be anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's been moments, there's been flashes, but overall fields, I think, whatever, all the physical ability, wonderful arm, amazing athlete, decent size, great runner, still one of the best runners at the position in the league, but for whatever reason he has not been able to get comfortable in an offense,

[SPEAKER_00]: and uh... that that's that's been the issue and do i think he's been helped the most no i absolutely don't could he potentially be one of these long-term rehab projects that end up working out down the road i hope so i still have hope but you know drafting just some fields first overall would have been an absolute mistake

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of jacks fans would like to say that I don't think so.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, Matthew Stafford, yes, right now he's better than Trevor.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's also 30, about to be 38 years old.

[SPEAKER_00]: He is actually someone that is fun to compare with Trevor Lawrence because he was in a place where he didn't get a lot of help early on.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there were some of the same criticisms of Matthew Stafford that you have of Trevor Lawrence.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think Stafford was a little bit more prolific, but he also had Calvin Johnson.

[SPEAKER_00]: He was a little bit of a Calvin Johnson merchant early on in his career.

[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, that's an interesting talking point, but you know, Sam Darnold, that say late career or mid career rehab project that's taking a long time and you still see the absolute warts there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Love, I think he has a lot of the same things that Trevor Lawrence deals with, consistency wise, deck press gots playing great football,

[SPEAKER_00]: He was not this superstar quarterback early in his career and he's had some more stability and certainly most of his careers had really good offensive line play and really talented receivers to throw the football to as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's my solid stance on Jalen Hurt's obviously most people would take burrow, but he has a hard time staying healthy.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think having a Jacobi Meyer, I mean, they have got to keep Jacobi Myers.
