- Casey: Wow, welcome back to the Mention It All Again podcast. This is Casey and I'm here with the gorgeous Blake, as always. Blake: Hey y'all. Thank you for thank you for accepting me back after such a tumultuous couple weeks. You know, we had we had Wi-Fi Gate and then we had the Fourth of July. so it's it's r just an just a holiday off. Just us relaxing, enjoying America, America. but I I I just I it's great to be back with Wi-Fi that I Casey: Yeah. G not a gate, just a nice weekend. Ha ha ha Blake: I'm not gonna say is stable because I'm gonna jinx it if I say it's stable, but seems to be operating as it should. So you knock on wood. So I don't anticipate any problems and I'm very excited. If you can't tell, I sort of tried to like wear my most like apt. my god, we both did the V neck because we know we know what's up, because we know what's about to happen. We're about to travel back to what was it, twenty fourteen? Twenty Casey: I know, seriously. Wait. We're about to lock the fuck in. Blake: Sixteen? Twenty no, twenty f thirteen? We need a producer Casey: This is why we needed a f a fact checker on stuff. Fact checker. I'm like, who wants to be our fact checker? It was filmed it season one was filmed in the summer of 2012. Blake: That is literally the Keep Calm Carry-On Summer. And that's why we're wearing V-Nex all the way down to the heart. Because we are about to travel to Sur circa 2012. And we're about to recap episodes 1 through 5 of Vanderpump Rules VPR. But before we do that. I feel like we would not be doing a service to our audience if we didn't finish our initial cap recap of Rory since the season's over now. We promised you we would update you all on our rankings, and just kind of like give a quick debrief of like what we thought of the the overall season. So I'll toss the mic to you, Casey, if you wanna start us off. What do you what was your overall opinion of the ending and the whole season? Casey: I think reunion was a little stretched out. I think like but by nature of it being a first season, like there's not all that much going on. You gotta like get to know the players a little bit. So obviously the only real thing there was to go in circles about was the affair and the Joelan and the Brian and the Rula of it all. So but I thought it was good. I think Blake: Yeah. Casey: I've said this maybe on here before to somebody I I talked too damn much and I put my thoughts all over the internet too damn much my one flaw with these ladies, I mean I guess besides some of the recent things that have come out with them, my one flaw pre that was that sometimes it gives a little too rehearsed for me. And I felt that way about the reunion a little bit, about certain lines. Like they they were at home like, okay, like Affair. Like make sure you slip in that comment about the affair. Yeah. Like Right a little bit. And I even said that to somebody watching it. I was like, you hear them repeat things, like making sure it gets in the edit. Like you might have caught me at one point, but here I go again. Blake: Y yeah. Your husband's a slut. Like, let me say that three times. Right. I feel like I agree with you. I think that it was such a short season. We really condensed not even condensed. We just only really had, like, a fair, Liz, and Jo Ellen, and then the Kelsey and the Rosie of it all. I did feel like none of that was Casey: Yeah. Blake: Anything that was large enough that like I guess continued beyond the seasons that we had like content to rehash, like or like I guess follow up on because every conversation they had at the reunion, Sans a couple added discoveries about Brian, which that man is just a box of horrors. Like you're always gonna have something else with him. But Sans that there was nothing new. I felt as though I Casey: Agree. Blake: didn't get any we didn't get any sort of like make up between any of the women. Like I felt like the dynamics didn't shift like, okay, you know, it's been a couple months and the season's over and we're over it now, we're girlies now. so I kind of felt like we it was stale. Like it kinda just we were Yep, we saw this, we're still in the same place. It was fine. I Casey: Right. Yeah, it was like fine. I think MVPs who should have been first seat in the beginning are Rula and Jo Ellen, even though they both were doing a little too much, in my opinion. So I think they carry both things can be true. You know, we live we live in a world where we can contain multitudes. Blake: Yeah. I agree. I a hundred percent agree. Yeah. I don't really see why Liz and Alicia were first chair because their issue the overall conversation of it all was a couple episodes, but like their actual beef was w tied up and s resolved so quickly. So did it make sense to me? I agree with you. I you know, I really loved Jo Ellen's performance on the show. I really love Rula. Casey: Right Blake: I think what happened was that they took it way too far where you have Rula standing up and screaming and Joel and like saying that she talked to the cop and went to the the the cop's place and has the arrest re Like I'm like okay, like we're losing the plot a bit, my god even with Rosie when she was like I actually have the police report where you were pulled over with the man that you're you were cheating on, the coach. Why are you th why are you Casey: Right. Right. I have you took out a second mortgage and a construction loan and Blake: Why are you getting involved? Like, why are you it's Kelly Dodd, why are you chiming in? You're so annoying. Like, I just feel like at a certain point, like the I have receipts thing does become like you're obsessive and it's weird. And it's like, are you literally doing this for the show? Obviously she doesn't have a job anymore. she's gotten fired. We don't know who got her fired. Casey: Right. I agree. That that clip of Mary Cosby when Angie makes this role and she's like, Angie might have too much time on her hands. Like Angie's at home. Like it's giving that, but not even in a funny way. And like a like kind of a little bit Yeah, infringing on on privacy, right? So a bit like Blake: Ha ha ha. It's little stalker. Little venge vengeful. Right, and like also as funny as it would be, I don't believe Rosie was having an affair with the coach and for Jo Ellen to say that she talked to the cop, or whatever. Just I think if you're gonna be the person who has the receipts, be very intentional about when you choose to drop those rather than I have receipts about literally everything, because then you seem kind of crazy. Casey: Right. Well, and lately, after so many years of Bravo and so many years of reunions, the receipt thing falls flat more often than it does hit now. Because we've had the hits. Like there's only like so many times that's what I'm saying. There's been like Angie's scroll thing worked, like even though it was annoying. Like it worked both times she did it, like because it was funny and we love her. Like there are little little examples where it works and like sometimes where it's relevant. Like, or like s it's so bad that it ends up being good, like Candace's bad poster. Blake: Way more, way more. Monique. Right, it's a gag. Casey: Board on the Potomac season where she like couldn't find what she was looking for. Like that was hilarious. But I think in general, yeah, everyone kind of needed to scale it back and think smarter, like in terms of like a long long-term housewife playbook. Like Tamra Judge is not playing these games because she knows these are her castmates and other people like them, and they need them all to be on the show and to come to a point every season or every five episodes, six episodes where they're not hating each other's guts and going through their entire Blake: Yeah. Right. No. Casey: entire banking statements and personal history. Like Joel and Rula both need to lock in and and maximize their joint frenemy sleigh that we can create here. And they're they're too far RN. Blake: Right. Right. I yeah, you don't wanna like burn the bridge as fast as possible. And I do think that recognize that it's a game you're playing here. Like we can both in tandem like it's like a Giselle and Karen thing. Like they know they can kinda say stupid shit to each other and move on. And I feel like they don't they they don't leave the the argument thinking, wow, that was really hurtful and painful. Like they know they're both bullshitting. I so I think that they need to realize that that's what the the the game is here and like you both need each other for this to work. I would say ultimately I would say I did leave thinking like still Jo Ellen number one, I would say Alicia number two. Casey: Yeah. Blake: I do think I would put Rula probably number three and Liz number four. I d I loved Liz's performance. I loved it. I do think that like it it was unlikable, so it knocked me down, but I appreciate it. So it's like it's a hard balance to strike, but I I still really like her. and then I think that after that I would actually put Rosie above Kelsey. I which is crazy, which is crazy, and then I would put Kelsey and then I would put Ashley. I think that it's pretty self-explanatory. I I think that honestly, like I just came around to Rosie a little bit, in the sense that like she was just over it. She's just over it. Like the way that when they would ask her about it at the reunion. Casey: Yeah. Blake: You and Kelsey, she like, Ugh, it's like honestly whatever. Like it's just she doesn't like me, I don't like her. Like, I kinda felt like that, like, yeah, we're over it at this point. So I get that. Kelsey was still trying it a little bit. I like, Kelsey, sit down. Like, you also look a little bit like obsessive and it's just weird. Ashley hasn't really changed. She wasn't a really a figure in the reunion at all. and what about yours? Casey: I honestly feel very similarly. I think I I switch on who I feel like is like in like the number one, two, three spots. I I agree on like the same top three, but I can't really like pinpoint a strong feeling on who I really felt like edges out the other. It goes back and forth for me. so like at a point I would have said Alicia. At a point I probably would have said Joelin. At a point I would personally I it's rula. I you know I'm a I'm a rulala. Like I'm Blake: Yeah. Right, right. Casey: I'm the head of the army. Like I've adopted her as a as a serious client. So that's my personal number one. But I think like objective performance, it's it's somewhere along those three. And then I agree with the rest of the list, even though I still have love for Ashley, even though I don't like you just have to put her last. Like she just objectively like just didn't contribute more than anybody else like did on that list. Blake: Ha ha ha. Right. Casey: I agree that Rosie has been bothering me less. I think she has like played it cooler in the aftermath since post releasing the merch week of the clip airing. Post that she's cooled off. So I'm cool with it now. time you know, time heals all wounds. We're making up. Blake: Yeah. Yeah. Time heals all wounds. And I did I did see a someone posted on Twitter like a picture of Kelsey, Ashley, and Rosie like filming at whatever the coffee shop, Audrey's Aubrey's is. So my my sincere wish is they all can just be friends and move on because I do feel like there's a Young Ho Alliance that like is just its fate for them to have that. And I don't want to see them argue. Casey: I do love a young ho alliance. Blake: I love a Young Ho Lines and honestly like their beef was not interesting to me. I want them to have fun. They're destined to have fun. I do want to see Ashley like I want to see her get her bearings and like actually like be like go from bachelor to housewife. Like I want it to be like, okay, this is my th this is I'm a housewife now. And I think with Liz being gone, we're gonna get an one or two new women. I think we'll see what the dynamic is. I I'm interested. I think Casey: Yeah. Blake: We should touch upon before we move on to our main event the salacious posts that have resurfaced. I would say posts, likings of posts, by Joe Ellen and Alicia, and then Casey: Yes. this was all in all of these likes were sourced from him. I don't know. They really like his content. Like Blake: Why are they all like sucking his dick on Instagram? They all love him. Like, I'm like especially Joe Ellen. I'm like, Gary, you should be checking those DMs. No, Joe Ellen. Joe Ellen number one Donald Donald Trump Jr. stand because why was it Alicia? It was like Eric, Donald Trump Jr. and then Donald Trump. So it's like I'm spreading it out amongst the fam. They were like Casey: Joelle was gagging for the content. Like she was up in those likes. Right, and hers were like vaguely like some kind of like maybe in support of like Jan 6, like which like is hilarious that like that is the best of this batch of things that we've seen. Like, the lightest one was in support of Jan Six. Like, let's move on because honestly that one wasn't so bad compared to some of these other ones. Blake: Ha Merry Christmas, whatever. There was that. Of course. There was there was that. I've Right, right. Let's go let's move on. Let's target and I will say, like, I loved I was such a fan of Jo Ellen, but I this is kind of where the conversation is, 'cause like they're MAGA, like a lot of them are MAGA. Ashley posted a a tribute to Charlie Kirk, which I found kind of ridiculous because one of the like she quoted him and said like what his quote was like we as a society need to be able to like disagree without like killing each other, whatever the fuck. And to me that gives very much like college Republican who's like, I'm persecuted on campus. you only really would have that perspective if you are feeling like a conservative who can't say what they think. But Joel and posts were straight up homophobic, transphobic, genocide apologizing in in Palestine. There was one that was fat shaming Casey: Right. Yeah, anti-immigrant sentiment, like Blake: Yeah, anti emer I it was the run the gamut of Casey: pretty much everything you anything you want, it was all in there. Like, at Sides Roller has all the posts. If you wanna go see them. They have Blake blocked. Blake: It was a charcuterie board of bigotry. no, you can No, you could here, you can shout out that lady, whoever the fuck it is. I literally dis I just like one day like went to their page for something or saw them not even tell them on my TL because they have me blocked, but like one day on their page, I've never interacted with them once in my life. I've never had words, I've never liked, never quotes retweeted, nothing. And one day I clicked on their page, and this wasn't even recent, this was like two years ago. Casey: 'Cause right Blake: And I clicked on their page blocked by Sutton's roller. Who are you? What have I done to you? So I I I forgot about that. And then when I realized they're the one disseminating this information, this crucial information, I went to click on the the the Twitter post and I couldn't like I couldn't quote retweet it. I couldn't do anything except for save the the pictures, which perfect. I needed that for my TikTok. But I I then I clicked on the the account Casey: Yeah. Blake: To like remind myself that I'm blocked and then I was like, Wait, fuck you, you're also blocked. So I blocked them. But yeah, go to their page. They're they're posting they're posting up a storm. Yeah. Casey: Yeah, if you haven't seen what we're talking about, they have they they really they do they do research. They be they be let's research mama. They they research. They and Jo Ellen are researchers boots. So they're in the in a battle of stalking right now. Blake: They're in the hole. Right. Right, right. And Jo Ellen, see how the clown comes back to bite when you've run into a real researcher, Jo Ellen. I think just like to put a bow on it, I wanna I think we should each give our like kinda quick thought 'cause I know we both kinda posted a video about this topic. this is a very difficult thing because I am very much like someone who is political. Casey: Right. Yeah. Blake: And I feel like I like these shows because I get to like drown out and kind of like shut my brain off and it's like stupid and silly, whatever. And obviously, like I think you mentioned this in your video. No one's looking at these women for like a moral icon, someone who to look up to and and and you know, copy or no like you're not you're not watching Mother Teresa on the Royal Housewives in New York, you what I mean? And that's the point. But there is a difference between being like somebody who you can kind of gawk at and be like, wow, I cannot believe Casey: For sure. Blake: Ramona would do that versus wow, Ramona posted an extremely racist Instagram picture and now like I don't want like the fantasy is gone. It's shattered. Like it's not just like some crazy woman. Now it's like you're a real person out there and you've a platform and I'm like giving you that platform and I'm almost almost sanitizing you in that way because I'm laughing at you and acting like, she's just some crazy old lady on Housewives. And I do think there's a difference between being Casey: Right. Blake: just maybe even like a conservative where there used to be a time when it was just like, Yeah, she's conservative, whatever. Now it's like we pivot to your Instagram and you're straight up like hateful LGBT comments. You're like thank congratulations, Donald Trump, the best president ever, and it's like you see everything happening on the news and then you're this person you like kind of viewed as a fun little character is actually like mask off. And it does I've always wondered like, is this something where I should like Casey: Exactly, I agree. Right. Blake: maybe not watch this show. This is like something I really like. Casey: Right. It's it there's no right answer. Like I think this is one of those things with Blake: Yeah. Casey: Especially as the world gets kind of like uglier and uglier lately, there's more and more that you have to avoid and it becomes like a constant filtering of is this person a good person? Can I listen to this song? Can I watch this movie? Let me look up their stance on every single thing that matters to me before I post about this sh coffee shop I went to, whatever it may be. But I think it for this one case, you know, I'm not let's not make a generalization. Let's just hone in for housewives on Bravo. Blake: Right. Ha ha ha. Casey: And this is what I said in my video. So much of your fame and your platform and your now job, income, like financial security for a lot of these older women that would not have had this in any other way, shape, or form depends on the LGBTQ community. Like all it would take is every single Bravo fan to really start disliking you. And you're not gonna last on this show. Like you do have to have fans. You have to have people that are gonna go to these meet and greet events that are expensive for the way that you're gonna. To get the money that are gonna buy your merch. Well, and I was just about to say, and how many of them have I already seen Joel and at drag brunches, all of these women at gay events, gay queer spaces where they're doing meet and greets, even if there's not a drag queen there, some of them are at gay bars, some of them are. Blake: At gay bars. Casey: made up of queer people coming to meet them, spending money, spending time, spending effort. And in the back of their mind they're like, This is awesome now that it's it's benefiting me But before that, fuck y'all. Like Blake: Right. Right. Straight up posting shit like, you know, if you have pronouns in your bio, I know to avoid you, you're fat and ugly if you do, or like posting pictures of trans people and making f like physically mocking their their appearance. I mean just calling trans people mentally ill and if you know That a absolutely translates to how you view drag queens, how you view gay men. Like it's all within the same realm. And honestly it even kinda translates to how you view women because a lot of homophobia is Right. It's all based on like your hatred for like the feminine and like the your hatred for like feminism, which is the feminine taking a role in society that isn't submissive constantly. So, I think for me, like what I'm gonna do Casey: I was gonna say it's it's all together. Blake: Is not deprive myself of the joy of the shows, but I certainly will not avoid like just calling out these women and kind of I guess demanding that Bravo like take a stance on it. at the very least, at the very least, she should have to make a post that says like, This is wrong, like I am sorry, I should never have done this because Casey: Right. Blake: If we're gonna continue to support you and watch you on TV, then at the very least, like you need to be public in your disavowal of those beliefs, just in the same way you were public about your likety likety likity all on just horrible shit. So Casey: Right. My last thing, which I think 'cause w this is an ever-evolving situation, you know, this is this is current press. I think the silence is loud. The silence is really loud. This has broken, it has reached th their desks. I I know that for a fact. Like it has reached all these Bravo fans. Blake: Yeah. A million percent. Casey: tables and you know we're all like wondering what's the deal. Even Gretchen on Orange County had the good sense to deny, deny, deny and be like, I don't stand with this like immediately. Like it's just it's just that's loud. And with that, let's have some fun, because that is not a fun, a fun topic. Blake: Yeah. Let's have some fun. Let's have some fun. Right. alright. without further ado, let's talk about the Vanderpump Rules Season 1 Pilot. Casey, I will let you entree us because this is your this is your shit. Casey: I mean, I broke this episode up just into five episodes for us to watch and to debrief with y'all because I could talk about this pilot alone for maybe six and a half hours. Like longer. 24, I don't know. Whatever I have to do, like I could do it. Blake: I feel like you're always talking about it. You'll always find a way to be like and then Stasi, remember when she when she slapped Krista I mean, let's talk your fucking username, which will come in handy which will come in handy when we when we conclude our rewatching, but this is like one of the first things I ever knew about you, like was she like this she's a VPR girl. I think you may have been one of the reasons I Casey: My username is Stasi's Backhand. Blake: Realized that it might not be like what I thought it was because I always before I like because I was just a housewives girl and then the I think during Scandavals when I like, should I? Like I don't know, blah blah blah, like it's a bunch of straight people and Right, and I think also, you know, you have so many of those shows. You have Summer House, you have Winter House, you have Summer Summer what's the other summer one? Southern Charm. Like all these things. Right, all these things. So like Casey: Right. A a common a shared experience for many. Mm-hmm. Southern Charm and Southern Hospitality. Blake: They kind of start to blend together where it's like the straight Bravo shows and like the sort of gayer w Bravo shows, which which aren't even gay but they're like for the gays, you know, for the gays and the girls. you just Right. Not about straight men. There's no straight men. So like I was always like I can't do this. And then I think just because you did sort of glamorize it in a way, and also you highlighted the cunty women, and I didn't really know who it was who. Casey: Yeah, right. Yes. Gay queer coded in its like humor and drama and stuff. Yeah. Blake: So I was like, there are like actual like icons that I can glom onto and like actually just focus on them and make it their show. I don't have to like necessarily like enjoy or even like focus on the trash men. So I give you all that credit. I mean truly. And and you were right. Casey: Right. Hundred percent. That's so sweet. That means a lot to me. I think this show is so incredible. Even re-watching it, I have watched season one s an unreal amount of times, and I still threw it on in its entirety to re-watch. And I feel like I'm watching it for the first time. Like I'm getting pissed off on behalf of Stasi watching this, even though I've seen this episode like 10 times. I'm like, this is ridiculous. Like, we really need to end this. It was, it was. Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha. Casey: 14 years ago, like I think you can let it go a little bit. No, I can't. She's really she's that girl to me. Like, it's it's serious, it's really serious. But before we get into how she's literally nailed to the cross, like Vicky and Jesus were. To set the scene, as we you might have noticed, opened with the Vanderpump Rules intro instead of our usual number today. We get the Blake: Ha ha. Mm-hmm. Casey: That cunty intro immediately. So you know you're in for a good time. Like real TV heads see that. Real people with processing inside their brains even, not even T V heads, are know that something serious is about to happen with that intro. Blake: Good food. Right, right. You're on the edge of your seat when you hear that. feels like you just took a Casey: The sound effects, like Kristen throws the roses and it goes like Blake: Right. And then then just seeing everyone stand there like Casey: Whoa. Blake: Except for there's like some like random like people there that you never ever hear about. Right, right. They had to like throw in some like kias. But like there are some kias peri that's delicious. It's delicious because Casey: Couldn't look too sparse at the end shot. The absence of Tom Schwartz. This is the cast. If Ariana had been in this cast, this would be my cast. Lock it down. I don't need anybody else. Like this is my these are my people. Season one is such a good time. And when we start season one, the big three of the women, arguably, the big four all include Sheena, but the big three are Stasi, Katie, and Kristen. Usually the Blake: Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Casey: Most well-liked people either like one of them or two of them or all three. But when we start, they are literally all in the worst relationship of their life. Like they are all with these horrible, horrible, self-centered, egotistical, misogynistic men, and they're getting bullied by a geriatric restaurateur every single day. Blake: Ha ha. i actually really, really interesting and actually baffling how they are always constantly going through the same thing at the same time, all of these people. Like they are meant to be friends. It was genuinely like again, y there's no way to recapture this as like a caster of television because you didn't have to find these people and get them together, like Casey: This was a real friend group that existed. Blake: They found each other. They found each other because that's how life works. Because you find the people that you need to be with for life and they needed to be together to be pinheads in the corner together and not bother anybody else. Because genuinely all all with three bums of different different flavors with different issues. who end up fucking over all of them. Casey: Totally. Blake: in different ways. So many Casey: in so many ways. They are su such little rat losers. Like the three of them are I tweeted this once. E the way that they are in a constant too close to call competition of which one of them can be the bigger loser. Like Blake: It's so true. Because I think that when you have like a definitive answer then you wake up the next day and it well we got footage of this guy beating his new girlfriend. Okay. Well I guess you're the new one, like Casey: Or you re-watch an episode and there's a nuanced comment that's so horrible and vile from one of them that just went under the radar and you're like, You hate her. You actually hate her guts. They hate these women. They hate women. Let's just be real. They they hate women, period. So that's it's not actually specific to these girls, but they hate them. Blake: Ha ha. Yeah, yeah. They hate these women. They hate women. they were the original I I I don't want to say incel because they actually did fuck quite a lot, but they're like they have the that like red pill sort of like man attitude where it's like no matter what a woman says or does, like she will just never be good enough. Like it's always gonna be the man next to them. That says something where they're like, that's honestly so true, bro. And then it's like, but you're literally married to this woman. Like, is she not your number one person in life? Like, how do you what do you mean? It's astounding. And so and and we don't even like Schwartz is also a special case 'cause like, who are you like where where do you even fit into any of this? Like, you showed up Casey: It's sick. My god, I was gonna save this for later, but I'll say it now. This literal useless fuck. He would not have anything in his life if it wasn't for Katie Maloney. He did not work at Sur, he has never actually worked at Sur. He worked at Pump for 45 minutes, one shift had an anxiety attack, and then quit. He then gets on the show and then becomes a like Blake: Has he worked? Haha. Casey: point five percent owner of Tom Tom for 20 bucks and a a kiss on on Lisa's like wrinkled skin like so he pisses me off bad because his audacity like he literally would be unemployed homeless on the street loser not fucking like he's not all that like he's the ugliest one of the three of them like so you better respect your lady like and he's so so awful to her from day dot like he hates her Blake: Which is Her keyster. He's nothing. He looks And he's he's more of the covert. Like people I think he he doesn't do it in like this the straight up like wow, you just cheated on her, that was awful. But what he does is the constant covert riding the fence, pretending that you're like neutral, but then always Casey: Yes. Blake: Like because you have that like view of s you that perception of somebody who's like rational and trying to like get both sides, but then you what you do is you still ultimately always pick the guy's side, but babe, you have to understand, like, this is the thing that makes more sense. And he kind of like gaslights her. Yeah. And it's like you're straight up just dismissing her, invalidating her, gaslighting her, but in a way that sounds like you're a reasonable, kind I'm just a mushy gushy little Casey: so kind, like I just love my friends. Like a hundred percent. Blake: Guy, I'm a little baby guy, and it's like you are he looks like he's constantly sweating vodka. Like he looks disgusting. Casey: Like he slipped by because of the people he was surrounded by because there were larger enemies at bay. So he was able to get by with all this stuff and h But the season like kicks off the the rising the initial action is that they move Sheena to Blake: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Casey: over to work at Sir from Villa Blanca, where she had worked for her entire time for no other reason than that she was the mistress in Brandy Glanville's marriage and they needed her to kickstart the show at the restaurant they wanted to and Villa Blanca must have been for the Chapos. So they were like, She know you gotta get over here. So she gets like dumped into this group of people that she doesn't really know that are really close friends who hate her. Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Who hate her, who know her and hate her. Like they know her. She doesn't know them. They are well acquainted with her. And I have to say, like, when I first watched this, like, I was such a Brandy Glanville stan, and I had obviously seen the crossover Beverly Hills Vanderpump Rules episode. So like I didn't know anything about any of these women. All I knew is I stan Brandy. That's the woman who like fucked Brandy over. So like when Stassi was coming out guns blazing, like, fuck this ho. Casey: Right. Blake: Like you're a cheater, you're terrible, like blah blah blah. I was like, Ooh yes, like r like get those punches in and that kind of is what initially drew me to be like, This is a queen. Like Saucy is a queen and I stand by that because I Casey: Right. Well, 'cause even when she's being like brash or like a little too rude than like some people would probably like, she's always right. Like, you can't ever take away the fundamental point she's making, which is like when Sheena pulls up and she immediately hates her is like I just don't have respect for you and I also like Blake: She's right. Right. Casey: have there are boyfriends around here and like now the homewrecker just pulled up. Do you want me to feel good about that? Like I would be lying if it I said that made me feel safe and secure and good. Like she says it in a little bit more of an aggressive manner, but that is the point of the basis and like, yeah, that's just that's the consequence of your action, darling. Like, sorry. People are gonna judge you because you had an affair. Like that's Blake: Right. Right. Right. That like you need to Right. You need to reckon with that. And I also just think like Sheena has like a very smug attitude about things. So she doesn't do herself any favors by coming in with I guess like a like a humble like I want to p show that this is not who I am. She definitely like thinks that she deserves more like I guess cachet within the group and Casey: Yes. Blake: She definitely also views herself as like a top dog, and you can just tell she's waiting to like make the right friendships to like reclaim that title. And she just, I guess, because of all of that, is just not super likable. Like she's very self-obsessed. Not to say that n these people are not all self-obsessed, but she has this like obliviousness to how much she like is i obsessed with herself. and I think that just immediately you're like, ugh like and obviously we see that because she fucking has a she comes into the show with a pop star career. so there are several scenes in this season of her in a studio Casey: Right. Blake: Recording music. It doesn't it's not clear how she got there. There's this producer who don't know how he met her. Apparently said, You give Britney Spears, and I which is insane. and the fact that she believed it and was like, perfect, let's go. She was sopping it all up like a pig at the trough. That's crazy. But so she's in the studio She knows launching her music on episode one was a bold play. It absolutely was, because you were just getting torn to motherfucking shreds about being a home wrecker. And nobody likes you. And you're now you think you're gonna introduce us to your cause you're Britney Spears? Casey: Well, and you're so right about the humble thing. Like the worst thing you can do in the wake of you doing something objectively wrong is like be like, Can we just move on? Like come on guys. Blake: Right, right That's not me. You don't actually know me. It was different. And can we move on? Casey: Yes, that sucks, but like, my gosh, like what can I do? Like, you have to eat it. Like, that's how you move on successfully is by being like, yeah, like so fair. Like, and I will it's absolutely fair of you to be a little bit insecure. Like, I know that like I didn't respect those boundaries before, but I'm working on doing it now, and I hope I can show that to you. Period, end of story. You're classy. We move on. But no. Blake: Right. and she she doesn't even try to even do half or a quarter of that and Casey: No, she's like, screw that. Let's move on, honestly. This is ridiculous. And I'm gonna launch a music career. And I'm better than Britney Spears, by the way. Blake: She okay, so she so she said this producer was like you look like Britney Spears. She said that she used to get mistaken for Britney Spears, and not only that, but people would come over to her and say, People would come over to me while I'm doing my while I'm working my like waitress shift. So they think Britney Spears is waitressing a table? That's insane. But then she would say, like, I was bored. I'm I want what do you want to eat? Like, no. So then people would come over to her. Casey: Mm. Just unattended. Lana at the Waffle House. Blake: Actually though. and then people would come over to waitress Britney and say, Can I get your autograph? And she would say yes and actually just sign their shit for them. Like, Yeah, I'm Brittany Spears, here's your autograph. You are cr like, you are crazy. You are we know enough. Casey: This hasn't been talked about enough as a Sheena moment because the concept of there being hundreds, maybe thousands of children around the globe thinking they have a Britney Spears autograph in their possession, but it's really just a Sheena forgery? Blake: It's It's Sheena Shea on her shift pulling out a Sharpie and signing your vinyl of Brittany Spears. She memorized It's me, Brittany. Your your signature is as good as gold, bitch. Is as good as gold, cause it's by Sheena fucking Shay. And if I am so sorry, you should sue that bitch, honestly. I know it's probably been 30 years at this point, but sue the fuck out of her. If you Casey: Yes, it's me, Brittany. It's so nice to meet you. Okay. If you are listening and you have been traumatized by sheet and shit, forgery. Blake: If you You may be entitled to compensation. You if you walked up to Britney Spears what you thought was Britney Spears while she was waiting tables, then you should sue Sheena Shea. Because Casey: We are putting together a class action lawsuit. Blake is a lawyer. This is serious. We're going to the supreme. Blake: Right here, right now, I will I I don't know anything about class action law, but bitch, let me open a book because I'm mad. That pissed me off. She was sitting there in her confessional. People say it looked like Britney Spears with her like double her like eyeliner that goes top and bottom of her eyes. She's like Sh stop it. Were you blonde? Were you ever blonde? She did. Casey: Mm-hmm. In s she did say she was blonde. But in some of them too, not in that specific one. Some of them she's wearing like this massive fuck-ass bun in her confessionals. It's like back when it was like a sock bun trend, like it's so round and bulbous. Blake: She did. Nothing. I was truly like show me one picture, a side by side. The best picture you can find of Brittany looking like you. I wanna see it. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that maybe there's something there, but you gotta find the picture. And you won't. Moving on. Casey: She's so sick and like she's recording and these men are like treating her like they just hired like a sex slave, let alone like a musical artist that they respect. They're like like her fiance at the time, Shay, is sitting there and they're like, I bet you're familiar with her naughty little giggle. And Shay's like, Yeah, like, yeah, yeah, I am. And like this is what the song sounds like. Like it's literally like it's not even a song. Let me let me roll tape. Blake: Ha ha. It's like That is they said you sound like Britney Spears, can you get in the studio and go Mm-hmm. Casey: And then after this take, the producer, the same one that said she was better than Britney Spears, goes, All right, that was pretty good, you know, great great take Sheen's. Let's go less phone sex operator, more porn star for this next one. Blake: okay. okay. Casey: And Sheena's like, yep, got that note. Like, yeah, no, that makes perfect sense to Sheena. Like, she's like Blake: So are we making music here? What is this? Casey: Sheena, blink twice if you need help. Like what is this situation that we're in? Blake: She would never blink twice if she thought that what she was doing could get her five seconds on television. Five She said she said, I'm pursuing my pop star career while working at Sir. And these this is the evidence she's giving us as an audience to believe that she is working towards becoming a pop star. Okay. Casey: And that's the T. I'm sick. Blake: Moving on, we go to Kristen Dodi and Tom Sandoval, who are dating at this time. Yeah. Casey: And they've been together the longest out of anybody. Like they've been together a few years prior to this show beginning. They live together. Everyone lives together with their couples at this point in time. Like everyone's separated out. But Kristen and Tom's apartment is iconic, like in the VPR lore and canon, because there's so many good scenes there, but like the most notable season two is when Kristen goes to pick up her male in the green dress, like in their apartment. So I I can like picture it. Like I could probably sketch it out, like it's my house, like where where they keep all the the stacks of things and Tom Standoval's concealer and hairspray and hair straighteners and Blake: Mm-hmm. my god, that is a bisexual man. Like, genuinely, I think it's one of the greatest frauds that's ever been run on the American public that he has never come out as bisexual. Number one. I mean, obviously there's the metrosexual elements of it all. He's he flat irons his hair. he takes way longer to get ready than I do. He has all the products the Right. And he's open about it. He's hair geling. He's like, Babe, I need like the the hairspray with the most hold possible. Like he's thr he's he's busting a gasket about not having this hairspray. And I'm like, okay, like metrosexual. Obviously it doesn't mean you're bisexual, but Casey: Right, and this is their opening scene. Like we don't even know them yet. Like this is their Blake: He also it just is bisexual. Like everything about him is giving you have at least gotten really drunk and made out with a man and like several times. And then maybe one of those times at the very least has led to like under the pants, pants off action. that's not hard to believe. At all. Casey: Right. And I love Right. I love that. I believe that. I stand with that. Well Well, I wouldn't go that far. Blake: Believe men. Believe Blake. Believe me. I realize how I realize how far reaching that could have been if you had agreed. j it ca it just came out. I w I blurted it out, I got too excited. Casey: my god. but I did like get a little chill run up my arm during this scene because Kristen's, you know, donning her her two-inch sur uniform. Tom's doing his hair. He's complaining about Kristen's hairspray. You can feel the lack of love in the room. But like, imagine the buzz of getting ready for a sur shift with your boo, who you hate, in your apartment that you can't afford to go get bullied by Lisa Vanderpump. Like, that must be fucking. Electric. Blake: Flat ironing your hair and screaming across the room, babe, where is the hairspray with max hold? And she's like she's like, I got some in here, and he walks in and he goes, he goes, No, this this this barely has any hold. This is like weak shit. he you know you know every single product within the hairspray universe to know that this one is not gonna hold your hair the way that you but like Casey: Yeah. And like, what do you want her to do? Like go get some then. Like Blake: What do you want? She doesn't need the hairspray, dude. You're the one with the fucking faux hawk or whatever the hell's going on with his hair. Like, it is truly such an interesting relationship. we also find out Sheena Shea, while ascending to Pop Stardom, has a callback to play a the Pink Power Ranger in the Power Rangers, I'm assuming Casey: Mm-hmm. Film. Blake: T V show commercial? Casey: It could it could be anything, honestly. Blake: We don't know. We don't know. But she she might play the Pink Power Ranger. I don't think she ever did. but basically we Casey: Right, just like miss comments from them like pop in between scenes. Like, you know, cause like there are like group events and stuff, but these beginning seasons, like they're trying to like establish all of their personalities and like what they all have going on, pretending like they're like rising actors and models at this point in time. They give that up and they're just like, You guys are reality stars after like a couple seasons. But in this season they're really trying to drive it home, like they're working, like they're modeling, they're acting. But I did think that was funny. Sheen is like Blake: Right. But we're working towards it. Casey: I might be the pink ranger, and like some server's like, wow, like that's gonna be special. And I like Blake: That's crazy. Wow. Casey: Stasi gets great like little one-liners and like little 30-second quips, but like there's a bunch from her in the beginning scenes like of the show setting up like the vibe at Sir and one thing she does say that's like kind of foul slash aged poorly, but I honestly still kind of like understand why she said it. She goes, I mean, honestly, no one over a size two can pull off the Sir uniform. And Let that sink. I know it doesn't sound perfect or amazing, but logistically, she's she's right. Like I legitimately do not think if you were over a size two that you could i the fabric would burst. They they were like this big. And there are like two variations of the dress. One is like a like bandana-esque looking like napkin that's like open backed, really short, and then there's one that's like teeth. Blake: It's true. Do you get like a lot of side boob from it? Casey: And then there's one that's like t-shirty, that's like still very short. Some of them are short sleeve, some of them are long sleeve. That one I think you could get you could get everybody in. The like t shirty one. The one that she's talking about in that scene. I think I don't even think she's being effed up. I mean, it's effed up that Lisa made these young girls wear this around her restaurant. Like Blake: Yeah. I was gonna say, Lisa is hoeing these women out. She is pimping them out for fucking goat cheese balls. Like Casey: Like, don't hate the player or the game. Hate the coach. Like, hate the owner of the team. Hate the league. Blake: Hate the coach. The I was literally gonna say, I was literally gonna say, She is so evil. This woman is so evil with her veneers. we go to a group brunch event. I think this might be one of the first group events. And what you have to understand at this point is that while the double Ks, Kristen and Katie, are are living it up in their toxic relationships. Stasi is not. She's not enjoying her relationship with Jax. Jax is Jax is crazy. Like he she's talking about how he doesn't like come home every night. He doesn't sleep in the they live together. He doesn't sleep in the same bed with her every night. Some but he's she's like, Where where were you last night? He's like sleeping in my car. Like he's fucking weird. So she's like grow up, you're a fucking man child. You're 10 years older than me. She's 23. He's 33 and Casey: She's fighting back a little. Blake: He's acting he even said it himself. It's called Peter Pan syndrome. He doesn't want to grow up, and he's acting like he's a frat boy. So they go to brunch, all all of them, all the couples. And I've never personally been in the situation, but they start fighting, like a real relationship fight, in front of all their friends, and all their friends can do is just sit there and go. kind of like look at the ground and kind of grit their teeth. Casey: And this brunch, like event is even loose because they clearly just pulled up to their local restaurant spot, hung over, and were like, yeah, like I guess a few of us are gonna be there. Like I guess we could film it, like fine, whatever. But Stasi and Jax happened to get in a fight the night before. So from the second they sit down, it's very tense and like Blake: Yeah, we'll just film. We'll film right here. Casey: I have I have been the couple that fights at the table in front of the other couples. Like it's hor it's horrible for every single person involved. Definitely more for the spectators, I feel like, because like Katie, they panda Katie and Tom Sandoval like every five seconds because they're sitting directly next to both of them and they're both like Blake: no. R w what do you look at? Like you can't say anything you are trapped in limbo until that situation gets resolved because you're not getting involved in it. It's not your relationship. You're also not like unless you fully kind of scooch down the table and just kind of we'll do our own thing, but even then it's like anything you do could be Casey: And what, Katie and Tom don't wanna like kiki the two of them, like Blake: Ru they they hate each other too. So they nobody everyone is kind of frozen. Everyone hates each other, but there is a real hatred to the left of them that is actively being dealt with. why don't you play the clip? This is this is the level it gets to. Casey: Everyone hates each other. And actually that clip Blake: First of all Sohn Casey: so kind. I mean that's literally what she could not have said anything better in that moment. Like she's she's everything and more to me, but that line is immediately preceded by like heavy metal rock music. I literally edited it out. I'm like, I can't you're ruining the scene. Like you're literally ruining you're ruining the cunt. Like it goes immediately into like Blake: Ha ha. Ha ha ha ha. Casey: Why did you guys think this was the vibe? Like they didn't pick up on like that they needed like the more like cunty music like Blake: They are Right, maybe we need like, you know, a little bit of silence to precede the like drop of the mic. Like, I am the devil. Tsh and don't you forget it. Casey: Like them acting like l she literally just announced that she for real is the devil and we need to like play her like theme song, like down to hell. Like support her. Like why do would you why would you choose that music? But this is this is one of her all time best. Episode one, hungover brunch, hair tied back in a in a low pone. She did not come to play. Blake: why like what? Right. Less is more. But but but let's also talk about the fact that her literal boyfriend said I didn't want to get in bed last night where I where I live and w the bed that I sleep in every night with my girlfriend that I live with. I didn't want to do that because I'd be getting in bed with the devil. That's the woman that you are in love with? That's how you talk about her. That's the relationship we have. But but then Casey: Right. Blake: Every other scene, it's like I love her, this is my favorite relationship. And then you have how could you even be at a place where that's like a serious thing you're saying? it is so toxic. These people are so, so, so like it's textbook. If if you met somebody who said, I don't know what a toxic relationship is, like, actually I I can teach you. I don't have to say a single word. Just watch. Just watch this. Casey: It's so bad. Honestly, I can show you three of the main possible strains of one in season one of Vanderpump Rules. Just go ahead and sit back, relax, and enjoy. Like I just let me know what you've learned afterwards. so they're on like bad, bad terms, obviously, right away. Like this is not going good. And it could just continues to spiral. Particularly, Sir has one of their pride parade. Blake: Ha ha ha. You're right. Have a cocktail. Right. Not good. Casey: moments which they continue to have throughout the seasons. Obviously this is the first one. but they have a parade in in West Hollywood and, you know, ever the the main players are all there. They're all gonna be on the float. Like they're all dressed up and they usually get drunk. This year Lisa was like, don't drink, but obviously they're still drinking. Like she's just she's so performative. Like whatever girl. Like you're not feeding them the shots behind the camera. Like Blake: What's she gonna do about it? Right. Like you drink on the job? Also sh that bitch w every time she shows up to work, which is her like getting out of her Bentley, walking up to to Sir, all she does is sit down and pour herself a glass of rose. Like that's when she's working, that's she's drinking. So please save it. Casey: Right. But on the f Pride Parade we get a a point of contention between a few people really and it's because Jack's shirtless on top of the float has Sheena apply sunscreen to his back. Like on top of this parade float, Stasi's on the other side of the float, all their Blake: Mm-hmm. Casey: Friends and co-workers are there and Stasi gets pissed. Like she immediately starts yelling across the float. Like, Are you kidding me? Are you literally kidding me right now? Like, so they know she's pissed right away. and like, look, like, are there worse things in the world? Yeah, of course. Like, do I think it's like the biggest deal? No. But like, if I was standing there and I looked over and anybody, let alone the one that's famous for home wrecking, was applying sunscreen to my man's back. Blake: Ha ha. Ha ha Casey: I would say something to him. Probably when we got home for me, like I probably wouldn't have yelled across the float, but I probably w would have been like, what the hell was that all that about? Like you think you get you're getting your jollies off today? Like what was that? Like what are we doing? Blake: Also, if I were Sheena, this is my thing about Sheena. So you say I don't want to be known as the homewrecker and I just I feel like that's where I've been placed, you know, by default. I had no control over that. So maybe what you would do is not touch the raw skin Of the woman who has called you the homewrecker, the boyfriend of the woman who's called you the homewrecker, maybe not massage his I know that she wasn't doing it, like if you watch it, she's not doing it in like a sensual way, but still, I would I would want no no inkling, no whisper of any doubt that I could be flirting with any man who's not my my own. And she like just Casey: No, and like Blake: She wants her cake and she wants to eat it too. Sometimes you gotta just you gotta just take it like you said, you're right, I'm sorry, that looked bad, and then make sure nothing else looks bad. But this is something like in if if if she was if this was like Katie, nobody would care. And that's the point, because Katie is Saucy's friend. But you're not Katie bitch. You are Sheena. Casey: Well right. Right. And like he could have asked a bunch of other people, maybe like you know, let's say this was like this could have been like a producer, like, go put sunscreen on Jack's back type thing, like and let's see what happens. Like 'cause it is like very like I need to put some sunscreen on my back. I can do that for you. Like, right. Not like any of your guy friends right there, not like your girlfriend's ten pieces down the float. Like it's not like you guys are like on different continents. Like, go ask Dossi. That's what I mean. Like, that's what I would say later. I'd be like, I'm standing right the fuck there. Like Blake: Right. Does Jax fucking care? Right. Right. Casey: Come ask me to do it. Like don't be weird. And if you want a girl, if it has to be a woman, how about one of the PAs? How about the girls with boyfriends that are not home wreckers? Like just anybody except for Sheena. Like well that's too far. I wouldn't want that either. I can't I can't in good faith recommend that. Blake: Right. How about Lisa Vanderpoom? Pff. Wait, your your note that says Ken is driving the float, OMG senior citizen behind the wheel. I didn't even see him driving the float. Casey: I'm sorry, again, it feels like there was a better choice for this job. Like Sheena and Ken maybe should switch jobs. And sh Ken can put the sunscreen on Jax's back and Sheena can drive the drive the bus. Blake: Okay, can Can we And Sheena can drive. Ken has been alive for so long. Like I've seen him in so many different situations, and it's like. You've always been like 85 years old. How well how does that work? Did you find the fountain of youth? I mean he probably could afford it. So Casey: He's like not real. But he drives the bus mama. He drives the pride pl parade float in that house. Blake: Basically we we get to this it's like just a bar event, like they're all going to a bar I think it's like a yeah. Casey: Yeah, maybe just like a a happy hour, maybe somebody's birthday. Like it's a lot of the staff, like the B team and the A team are there. It's not even just the core group. Blake: Right, everyone's just sort of drinking and it's like a letting off some steam after the old lady whipped us all day, like that kind of vibe. And so pff Casey: Yeah. This episode I need like a I need to put a disclaimer, like we don't hate all old people. Blake: No, I said the T-H-E-E old lady. Cause y'all I respect my elders, just not the ones who are like robber barons of the restaurant industry. Like Jesus Christ. Casey: Yeah. I have respect for the elderly, just not this one. Seconds were the geriatric, elderly, aging, sagging Lisa Rand. Blake: The most the most aged adjectives we can find. Casey: Do you know that clip? That Watch What Happens live clip. It's Renee Rapp and Giselle. And Renee Rapp is talking about Karen Huger. And she goes, You know, I think she's funny. And honestly, I'm surprised because I am kind of ageist. And he goes, You're ageist? And she goes, I am. I am actually. It's like okay. Blake: I guess since you said it I have to accept it. Casey: I think I have it on my phone. my god, it's really funny. Holy fuck. Okay. I'm sorry. Blake: That's crazy. Boy, I'm like sweating from laughing. I'm like, I hate Lisa Vanderpump and that makes sense because I'm ageist. And you're like, you're ageist? I'm like, yeah, I am. Casey: I am actually. Blake: so we're we're at this happy hour, not happy hour, who knows, and Jax like randomly shows up, like late. He's kind of like late, like not super late, but like people already mingling. He shows up and he kind of sits down in front of the bartender who's like who just poured like seven Casey: my god. Right. Blake: Shooters like around, yeah. Casey: Somebody ordered shots for the group, like a right, a flavoured something. It looked like it was like orange. It could've like orange juice and vodka, like literally, but like Blake: It was like yeah, it some sort of shooter and it was like supposed to obviously be for like a group of people. He just sits down like nonverbally, starts to take all seven in like succinct just succession, one, two, three, four, five, six, and then he's like, I can't believe I just did that. And everyone's like everyone's kinda like, that's crazy, but also those were for everyone, but you're so crazy. And Casey: Yeah. Tom Shorts is like, wow, like you took all those shots. Like, why'd you do that? Blake: He's like, I just paid for those. They were for everyone. But awesome. Like Casey: And Stasi watches him come in and like he he says hello to no one. Not not her, not anybody. Like he just walks right up to the bar and does his shots. Blake: And he doesn't say hi to her. Not anybody. He walks up to the guys and starts palin' around, d starts over drinking, starts starts getting sc sclerosis of the liver, and Stasi's like like standing at a table in the distance, kind of like, my boyfriend just arrived. I wonder like if he'll come over and say hi to me. He doesn't. She has to go over to him. And or maybe he comes over to her with a drink and she's already pissed because she's like. It's a wash. It's a wash because it's like it's like you've been here for like 30 minutes at this point and you just now acknowledge me. so this is I think maybe like the most like fmirable, fascinating aspect of this whole show is that Casey: He comes over to her and she's not having it. Like it's it's it's game over before it even starts. Like, yeah. Blake: Stasi like immediately this is episode two immediately breaks up with him. Like, we as much as these people seem like stupid and delusional and like idiotic and moronic and don't know what the fuck they're doing and whatever, like Stasi does have a clear head about what she deserves. Casey: No, like I'm literally I'm literally beaming. Like this is so beautiful and stunning. Like it's so rare that we get to see this from women ever because unfortunately we're conditioned to be bird brained by nature and we have to fight back against that by action, by nurture. There you go. Stasi at age twenty three being ma Blake: Ha. Casey: manipulated by a man ten years older than her, plenty of us would not have would not have survived this situation. She cuts it right off, right there. I didn't like those seven shots and I didn't like that he didn't say hi to me and I don't like the way he's been moving recently. So yeah, we're done now. Like, the way it's that simple and we make it so hard on ourselves to like, but what if but he he got me that Blake: Right. Casey: single rose that one time and he really has had a hard childhood and I think he loves me deep No, add up the facts like Miss Stasi did and get to the conclusion, which is goodbye. Like she literally Blake: Mm-hmm. Well, she says you're a good boyfriend 70% of the time, but 30% of the time you're absolute shit. I think she was actually being generous there. but she says, I want to have a good boyfriend all the time. Like, that is true. And that is what you should want out of a relationship. I I I do think a lot of people think that, like Casey: I know. Blake: There's a difference between like being in a relationship and not every single moment of the relationship is gonna feel like this fucking romantic escapade. Like sometimes it's just you're living life together, that's fine. But shitty behavior, where you actually are feel like this person is not respecting you or is making you feel like it you know, a second fiddle or fully just disrespecting you, that's not something you have to tolerate at all. it's so refreshing because the whole time you're watching this you're like everyone here is an idiot and then you see that and you're like, Wait, that's she's ahead of her time. Casey: Right. You might you can call if you wanna go on flaws and you wanna go on everybody, because obviously they're all flawed, you can go after her in other ways. But this specific way she bests all of her other coworkers, all of Blake: Mm-hmm. Casey: most of her coworkers in reality TV period for women across all networks, across all time in history. Like this it sounds so s dumb because it's so basic, but this is this is historic, this is legendary, this is table shaking. Like, I I can't say enough about it. Like this is really to me one of the more important things that has ever occurred in the history of time. Yeah. Blake: Yeah, and so she breaks up with Jax Yeah. Yeah. huh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so she she breaks up with Jax and like double K th the terrible Ks you know who they are. They Casey: yeah, and we're gonna and we we fully believe that. Blake: immediately are like, my god, but you guys looked so good together. I thought you were gonna get married. Are you sure? So like one of them says, like, Well they they do this all the time, they break up to get back together. Like, maybe sure, but at the same time like your job as a friend is still to be like, I do agree that like the things you're saying like sound awful and you should this is a good idea. They're like, You guys look so good together. You guys are like Ken and Barbie. What we thought you were gonna get married. I'm sorry, are you her friend? Or are you Jax's friend? It's strange. Casey: It's bizarre. It's actually so bizarre. Like this is what I mean of like it's it hurts to watch the d the the double K situation because like literally my god if you guys could get an ounce of self-respect through through those skulls that have been built up to be so thick by these dumbass men around you, you would be on her side. Like the only reason you can't be is because it defies the logic of both you being with both of your men. It would it would mean that you both need to leave them. Blake: Right. You would be on our side. And that is why and that is why they stayed with their horrible men longer than Stassi did, and let themselves get degraded and humiliated in various other ways that Staucy wasn't willing to put up with. So Stasy starts kind of talking to this bartender at Sur who like is kind of friends with Jack's named Frank. basically, like, they go to a club, Stassi and Frank. Frank is like Getting drunk and acting like a freak, and Sassi's like, Wait, he's also kind of like the same as all the other guys that work at Sur. Maybe I shouldn't date anyone at Sur, but she doesn't actually ha think that at the time. But so she's kinda like not feeling him. And then f Jax walks into the club. What could go wrong? Except for the fact that he's literally an ape. He just goes ape on everybody. He's like, cause he wants to get her back. And obviously he does the thing where it's like testosterone man. Like, I need to physically violent to show woman I like her. So like he's getting all up on Frank and whatever. And he like ends up getting saucy to leave, go back home with him, whatever. So Frank. So Frank, who's been sitting on this news like a duck sits on an egg. Casey: Been sitting on a bad boy piece of information. Blake: So exactly. So he texts Stasi that Jax got a woman pregnant two months ago in Vegas. the terrible Ks don't believe this. Which th not th it's not even like, Well, that's kind of a crazy allegation. It's like, no, that definitely didn't happen. And Stassi's over here like, Well, I already have a mountain of evidence of why I don't like him. So just add this to the fucking top, it's probably true. And they're like, Yeah, I don't think so. Casey: Right, just like final nail in the coffin. She was already done with him. She never officially takes him back. Like at the the breakup after the seven shots is the breakup. Like there is like some waffling. Like there's I think they sleep together a couple times. And like there's like a are we gonna get back together type situation every once in a while, but no. So like she stands firm, but this is the this is the the final nail in the coffin. Blake: Right. And it's probably it sounds like something he would fucking do. These people act like he it like is su so good at PR or something. He's just he's charming, but like he also does straight up fucked up shit in front of everyone's faces. And it's funny because Kristen is over here like I or I think Katie might have said this. One one of them said it. Like, I think that she wants this to be true so she can break up with Jax and it can be it could be Jax's fault and Casey: Christian. Blake: And she it won't be her fault at all that they broke up. And then Stossey comes back with a banger because she goes because earlier in the season, essentially, Kristen got mad at Tom Sandoval because she ran into a woman that Tom Sandoval hooked up with before they were dating and got mad at him simply at the I at the concept of him fucking a woman before they were dating. So she goes, Kristen can freak out over someone that Tom fucked ten years ago, but I can't be upset about Jack's Cheating on me and impregnating a woman current Casey: about my literal current I mean not current 'cause they just broke up, but current boyfriend, you know? Like Blake: Like it is so actually insane to me, not even aside from like Casey: This is what I mean. They're gaslighting her. Like she's never wrong. Like she's always right. And they're trying to be like, you're no, you're l you're not in the right reality. Like Blake: What are you like it's it's it's obviously like you know, there's like a gendered conversation, but it's also just as friends. Why I think you said this to me when I was visiting you. You said like the men regardless are always siding with the men And then double whammy, you have the women who are still finding ways to side with the men. And if they were able to just stick together and have the same loyalty to their gender that the men do, like they could be so powerful, but you have these Casey: It would flip the whole table. It would literally sh change the entire freaking world if we had that same sense of solidarity. It's so true. And like this is this is the example. Like the the built in tendency of like patriarchal society and misogynistic influence literally creates this urge to defend the man no matter what. Like it's it's it's a perfectly designed system. Like they really set it up well. Like they did their they did their big one. Blake: Right. Right, and it's it's like you said, because if the women were to acknowledge how Jax is shitty, then it sort of makes them feel bad about their decision to be with the men they're with and they have those like those considerations Casey: Right. It creates cognitive dissonance to acknowledge that what he's doing is wrong for Stasi, but to not acknowledge the things that are wrong to you and then to alleviate that you would either need to leave your man as well or disavow Stasi and it's easier to disavow Stasi than to leave their men. Blake: Right. So perfect segue, we are going to Las Vegas for S Stasi's birthday, which she does every single year. I am wondering why she is not traumatized by this place at this point, given that her boyfriend went there and fucked somebody and got her pregnant. But so we're going to we're going to Vegas. and Jax is determined to get Stasi back by crashing her Vegas trip that he was disinvited from thinking that it's gonna be some like chivalrous showing of like I still care about you, I'm willing to chase you across state lines. You seem like a stalker. Casey: And to make it even worse, like not only is he a stalker, like he's not invited, and obviously Frank is invited, and the K the Double K decide that they are gonna refuse to drive in a car with Frank. Then all of the other guys going say that they refuse to drive in the car with Frank. So Stasi has to rent a car that they wouldn't have otherwise needed to transport Frank because all of her friends on her birthday are boycotting this guy. And like he isn't the best, but at this point he hasn't done anything like morally objectionable. So this is crazy in itself, but they're good with someone uninvited that she dumped that constantly disrespects her. They want they want him on the trip. And like he he is stalking her. I was just like, what what's what's the line between like cute and and stalking? There's Blake: Right. Well it's called a boundary. Casey: There's a meme or like there was a trend of like Instagram reels. Maybe it hit TikTok too, you know, I'm not on there. But it was like when your grandma's telling you how they met their grandpa and it starts to sound like intense stalking and coercion, like he came by every day and didn't take no for an answer. It's like That's the difference between Kristen and Katie and Sazie right now. Like they're see they'd be like, my god, that's so cute. Like he refuses to listen to you and respect what you want and ask for. Like that's everything. Blake: I just had to date him. He won't he will not respect your boundaries and that's adorable. Casey: He crossed state lines against your wishes and followed you to your birthday trip. Blake: He will not leave you alone. He shows up unannounced. He's aggressive. He's sweaty. He's full of testosterone. And it's adorable. so he sends her flowers. Strange. but okay, whatever, it does it's it's that that maybe sending a flower, it's like, alright, thanks. Whatever, I'll throw them away. He is claiming so he's in a room with Peter. Casey: He's everything. Right, fine. Blake: Peter and he claims that he does say it was before he met Stasi, not not when he was dating her, which I just feel like I don't believe that. And you have it here, he's king of half-truths. the strategy here is for him to admit to the portion that is not the problem Casey: Yes. Blake: And say, yeah, okay, you got me, but it was not what you think it is, and l still lie about the part that would be the problem, which he does literally, I swear to God. Literally, nic my recollection is coming back. This is his whole fucking thing. And people buy it all this he did this with Britney. He did this with fucking Britney. Casey: But bend the truth on the timeline. If you didn't listen already to our episode about Jax Taylor, we have one of those between me and Miss Redacted, and she makes this point excellently in that episode as well, where like he gives a little nibble of the truth or just by being the first person to say the truth, he gets like off scot-free. Like for example, we'll talk about it more, but when it comes out that he's having sex with Kristen, he gets no heat for this. Like he because he selflessly reveals the truth. Even though they both hid it for months, but because he was the one to finally admit it, to l to lie one time less, he is all good and she is the villain nightmare, evil, evil liar. Blake: Literally literally. He sets himself up to always have some level of credibility that only a half-wit would actually believe him to have. But he does little things like that where like if you were not thinking in context, and if you were not keeping score, and if you were not creating a profile of somebody based off of all of these built up actions, you might believe well that was really great of him to come out and say that. However, right, in a vacuum in a vacuum, but once you start to look at the graveyard of women he's fucking lied to and screwed over, maybe you start to think, You're a sociopath. You are Casey: Right. Living in the moment, it could feel different. And again, I think this is a very common female experience. Like this is what what we do in the moment. Like you're so they want you tunnel visioned. They want you focused on like the good things so you're not looking at the bigger picture, the the whole equation. 'Cause when you really add up Blake: Yep. Yep. Casey: everything it's a clear this guy's a loser who hates me so they want you to to narrow in on the things that you add up when it's like actually it's 6040 like I love him let me let me give him another chance like no it's a hundred percent bad Blake: Right. Right. Right. He's right, and also he's literally putting on an act. Like he he knows he can't be a hundred percent shithole. So what he's gonna do is like perform a level of like I realize that it was wrong for me to p impregnate a woman, but don't worry, babe. It was actually three years ago. My I'm just I'm just a thirty year old baby. Casey: Mind Blake: I'm so sorry. Can you come on, can you change my diaper? And it's like it's so Casey: Come on, Kristen and Katie. Tell her to get back with me, please. Like, dude. And everyone's having a nice time like in Vegas on this trip once they get there. Obviously, like Stasi, ever the gracious classy. young woman that we know her to be doesn't give them any more hell about not riding with Frank. Like they're rude to him when they get there. Like and she still is just like whatever. Like, you know, let's go out to dinner. They're at like this like Moroccan looking themed restaurant in like a strip mall. I don't know why they didn't stay like in the main area of Vegas. Like they look like they're in a suburb. Like Blake: Right. It literally looks like they went out of their way to like go to outside of where Vegas is to go to some restaurant. Like it's literally like a restaurant Casey: Like, where are we? Like it could be in my in my neighborhood I grew up going to, like where you pull up in the parking lot, you g you and your family walk into the restaurant, like Blake: Yep. Yep. it's one of those like strip mall parking lots where you have the like the sign that like is like a tower and it's like this restaurant, this restaurant, this restaurant. It's like you are like a suburban queen. Like you really are. Casey: Yes. I love a strip mall. I really do. I know. But they pull up, you know, things are going as well as they have been for a hot minute. You know, it's it's Stasi's birthday, which is a big deal for for Miss Mama. So it's it's what she says goes, yes. And, you know, all is good until Jax turns up in his chunky yet extremely form-fitting cream knit sweater, a la Chris Evans in knives out esque. Blake: Twenty four. Mm-hmm. It is literally that fucking neckline that kind of goes a little deeper. It's it's so Casey: Right. It's a it's a button up. It's almost like a cardigan. Like he clearly like I think he had to do the buttons. Blake: It's very like Harry Styles. Yeah, it's very Harry. It was very of the time. It's very metrosexual. It's very like like you said, knives out, like winter, like fall, whatever. But like we're in Las Vegas and they are swimming in the pool, so it must be warm. So what what are you doing? What are you doing? And I guess he does end up taking it off. But that's because Casey: Yeah, it's hot. They're all wearing short dresses, like And he pulls up like it's no issue that he's there. Like he he walks in like hey, happ happy birthday. Hey everybody, like good to see you. Blake: That's crazy. That's psychotic. Hey hiced How's it go sorry I'm late? They're like you were not supposed to ever come at all. At any time. Casey: Imagine you're enjoying yourself on your birthday with your friends and your new man and your ex walks in the door in a fucking chunky cream knit sweater. Like I throw up on him. Blake: my ex in a stupid ass I I would toss I would have tossed the hookah, the lit hook hookah at him Casey: And then to not have anybody around you be even remotely outraged on your behalf is so sick and twisted. Like they're like, Jax, yay! Blake: No. To have nobody. Nobody is saying, like, like, sorry, Stassi. Like, everyone's like, yay, like the the guy who's right in this situation showed up. It's like, why did I invite you to my birthday party if you guys hate me? Casey: like he makes himself comfortable, but they're arguing. Like it's not Blake: I think Stossi starts arguing with with Jax obviously. And Schwartz that insignificant little prick tells S Yeah, yeah. Casey: Wait, let's watch the clip because we need to actually microanalyze this with a fine tooth comb. I ha I have things to say. Blake: That literally came out of nowhere. She said to Jax, you lie about everything, and then Tom Schwartz. Casey: Not one word did she speak to Tom Schwartz. Not one. Blake: Nothing. There's nothing to say to him. She had nothing for him. She invited him on the trip. She was happy he was there. And he and because Stasi, who literally slept with this man every night, says you're a liar, because she knows him. He pipes in, his little pipsweak mouth pipes in and Casey: 'Cause she's upset that someone uninvited who like again, even if you ignore the abuse and all the other horrible things he's done to her, just the fact that he's not invited, she's allowed to be mad. Like, Blake: Right. Right. the level of like loyalty to Jax were like it's like you get mad because someone criticizes him. Like you're a liar and he goes, fuck you, Stossy. Like it's not like she said something that was like about his mom or something. Like about like that was deep. Casey: And still all she says back is just the same thing. Like she can't even process that he just interrupted this whole thing to say that. And at the start of the clip, Kristen goes, fuck that. And she goes, fuck that. Like everyone is like piling on her. And she turns to Tom Schwartz and says, Did you say fuck you, Stasi? And he says, Yeah, you heard me, bitch. You are sick. Blake: That is so, so uncalled for. And you know what's even worse? So she throws water on him, which honestly I think is deserved, because at that point you have disrespected me. No. Casey: Deserved. And water is like not very offensive. Like you get more offensive as you up the viscosity of the liquid that you throw. Water is the nicest you can be, yeah. Blake: Right, the stickiness and all that shit. Right. And honestly, like that was her feeling like everyone is fucking coming after me. Obvious obviously, like not the ideal thing to do, but I fully understand why she did it. But then she throws water. Katie, with the quickness, gets up and looks at her and fucking tears into Tostasi. And it's like she physically Casey: Right. And completely pushes her into the wall and that is when Stasi touches Katie, which when they get back to Sir, the situation is described completely differently and Stasi is like some evil aggressor that like attacked Katie and Schwartz out of nowhere. Like, girl. Blake: Right. As like she pulled her hair or some shit. And then and then Schwartz i this is when he dumps beer on her. So we have not only Schwartz initiating this attack, then we have Katie getting up immediately without acting like this happened in a vacuum with no context, coming after Stasi, not looking at her boyfriend and maybe saying, Why the heck are you screaming at this woman? Like she's Casey: Full beer. And like, okay, maybe she thought Stasi, like like maybe she didn't hear his comment, like and was like, why is she now turning on Tom? Let's say a very slim maybe. Still, I'm not standing up on my friend's birthday party where she's getting attacked by literally every single person in the room. I'm gonna be like, he can fucking handle his own life. Like, what are we talking about? Like and Blake: Right. Casey: if you know, the physics of the motion of the throws of the drinks are also very different. Stasi splashes the water on Tom Schwartz lightly. He shakes, shake, shakes that beer on her, dumps the full beer on top of her head, not just into the body, on top of her head. Like Blake: Dumps on top of her Right. Casey: I don't I have never in my life been disrespected in person like that, like so flagrantly and so classlessly. I don't know what I would do, to be quite honest with you. And if some man's bum ass girlfriend is gonna get up to defend him during that trust, I'm gonna pull her hair as well. I sound kind of like you might fear me a little bit if anyone listens to this. Like I I sound like a fighter. Blake: I sh like I'm surprised she didn't see red and like do something worse. Like honestly it was pretty Right. And Ha ha ha. Casey: Ooh. You you don't you don't wanna play with me. Blake: You don't want to fucking see what happens to Stasi's backhand. So So obviously this turns into a an ape fest in the the parking lot. We have Frank taking his shirt off, we have Jack's taking his shirt off. They're trying to like go WWE against each other and Casey: Yeah. Tom Sandoval goes and just takes off his shirt and runs to the fold for no other reason than he just saw shirts being taken off and men, men, shirtless men hanging out. Blake: Which like who asked you to who asked you to join? No We're just we're just we show lady we like her. We like lady. We pound chest and like lady like Casey: We take off sh chunky sweater and strip mall parking lot. And in Jax's defense, he might have been having heat stroke. So Jax might have physically needed to take off his sweater. The rest of them have no excuse. Jax, okay, fine. Blake: I yeah, honestly I would have done the same. Like, genuinely, they were about to go to Poundtown and not the fun kind in the parking lot, and like someone I forgot who it was, but like Jax is like running towards Frank, and someone just like picks him up, like, Nope, you're not gonna do that. He like scoops him up like Bloop He's like running in the air and the guy's like, Bloop, you're not gonna do that and then Frank gets like shirtless into a taxi and like absconds into the night. Casey: So funny. And his legs are like still running and they just move him backwards. Right. The shirtless fight is like too difficult to like clip in a concise way. But if you have the time, go and watch that scene because the way that Jax gets picked up and the way that Tom Standoval, like Baywatch, runs into the fight, like like he's needed there is so good. And Frank is like Blake: Ha ha It's so it's so good. Casey: Actively or somebody, somebody's like actively getting into a taxi like while it's happening. So they're like still trying to fight and someone's getting into a cab. I guess it wouldn't have been Frank because he stays, but somebody's getting into a cab. Probably one of the B team servers that were like, What in the hell is going on here? Like, I gotta go. And then was it? Does he leave? Yeah. I don't know what now I don't know why. Right. Blake: I think it was Frank, 'cause he was shirtless. He leaves because because Jax is screaming at him like, You're a pussy, you're a pussy, and he's shirtless getting into this cab and that of it all is that so Frank's gone and then then Jax, the double K, the terrible K's, Schwartz, they all literally get into the limo they came in and without Stasi and leave without Stasi And so Stancy is left alone after this whole hubbub, this whole debacle, and it's her birthday and everyone ruined it and everyone left her. There's this whole mess that she has to clean up. I would literally if y'all pulled that stunt and then left me, you took my ride, my birthday limo, and then you left me. I'm like, what else do you need to see from these people? Like you are trash. Casey: I'd never speak to these two people again. I so feel her too, because I've had like horrible friends, like not in this exact manner. I haven't had this situation play out in my personal life, but like that type of like just completely like moment where you realize that people don't care about you is such a like stomach drop of like, like I literally mean that little to you that you're gonna side with this situation where I am clearly obje again, objectively in the right. Like Blake: Yeah. yeah, I've had that too. Casey: Even the things that are more controversial, she's still completely right. Like and she's just being gas. Like, my god, we stand with you, Stasi. The right the right people in fallen friendships that have gotten done dirty by the the masses of of groupthink of idiots. We know how this feels, mama. Trust. Blake: We stand with you. History will look kindly on Stasi Schroeder. Or should I say Nastasia Schroeder, which is such a cunty r full name that I did not know was her full name. Casey: So cut. Blake: And so she goes to brunch the next day. Obviously none of the people that have just done her wrong are there. and we split screen to to one of the Ks, Katie, on the phone, calling up L VP, giving her a debrief of like the felony assault that just occurred in the parking lot. I'm like, this is your boss. This is your b like, what do you want her to do about this? You want her to like fire somebody? Casey: Like what's your issue? And it's like just to add insult to injury after you being a terrible friend, abandoning her. Like, you want to call your boss and out the whole situation to the person that employs her? Like, you suck. Like, why are you calling Lisa and telling her about this way? You haven't even left. Like, it'd be one thing if you're back at the restaurant and she's like, anything like happen? Like, and it's like, yeah, this. Like ringing up grandma to tell her about the parking lot fight. Okay. Like Blake: She does suck. She Calling her. She's she has her curlers on, she's eating like chocolate chip cookies and in bed with her slippers on, and and then she gets a call from Katie Bologna and she's like, Hello. And then Katie's like, my god, I'm just telling you something. Stasi's gonna get in trouble. Stassi was like, you look foolish. And also this is allegedly your friend. Casey: Like they disrespected your brand. How like, trust me, the little Moroccan restaurant in that strip mall, like, is not gonna hurt Lisa's brand by telling people that they fought in your restaurant. Also, it's gonna be on camera. Like everyone was gonna see it anyways. Like you guys are on a show where you're embarrassing yourself. Like, don't act like this is gonna be an issue. Blake: It's on television intentionally. Lisa casted you guys because she knew you were fucking morons and you were you were incapable of self control. Like, trust Casey: Right. 'Cause y'all are respecting the L V P brand so often when you go out. Like I'm sure you're really performing every other night. Blake: Right. Tr trust and believe she is kicking her feet listening to your recounting of this story because she said, I'm gonna make some money at their expense. And you're playing right into grandma's veneers when you do that. So I'm Casey: You got you're going right into those choppers. Blake: On that note, we are going to wrap it up there because because we got I mean, we are going to finish the season at a later date. We want to give you guys some time to catch the fuck up. Casey: I know, it's so good. So the second half of the season w sort of we'll start with like ep five, ep six-ish, because we wanted to pause before the Jack's Laura Lee of it all and really save that for a special journey. Special journey back on real love for another date. So that'll be our next time. As you know, check our Blake: Yeah. Yeah. I might need a puke bucket for that. Casey: schedules and stuff on Insta or just keep an eye on on new apps. If you're like really fiend in for it, shoot us a message and and we'll speed up the process. Blake: There's a lot of episodes in a season. we realize we might be of a higher caliber of episode watcher than some of you. So we think it would only be kind almost like charity for us to spread out our seasons. So thank you guys for listening. But don't forget to like, subscribe, follow. All of our social media accounts are in the episode description. we'll see you guys next Monday. Casey: Next Monday. Bye. Blake: Bye.
