- 0:18Speaker 1: Returned the Glory Podcast for ten days out the game
- 0:21Speaker 1: day Hunter's Arm, Nick he Austin Rose, Dakota, free Tek
- 0:24Speaker 1: Jackson weeks back on the pod second time this year.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Already Jackson loves his defense.
- 0:30Speaker 1: We're talking defense today, so the Bones video we love
- 0:36Speaker 1: it real quick before we get into defense. QB one
- 0:42Speaker 1: has been named, dak I know you're very surprised.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that was real shocking news. I thought for sure
- 0:50Speaker 3: it'd be Harburg.
- 0:51Speaker 4: You don't say.
- 0:55Speaker 3: That?
- 0:55Speaker 4: Does seem like a classic football coach move to announce
- 0:57Speaker 4: Harburg as the week one starter? Good? You tip.
- 1:03Speaker 5: People already bashing Harburg about. I mean, if you want
- 1:06Speaker 5: to throw him away, I bet we'll have to use
- 1:07Speaker 5: him one of these days.
- 1:08Speaker 6: So don't easy.
- 1:10Speaker 4: No, I agree, I I like him.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Hey, who's the last quarterback to win five games in
- 1:14Speaker 5: a year, Adrian.
- 1:18Speaker 6: And that's all he want is five games? Harborg does
- 1:20Speaker 6: so bad?
- 1:21Speaker 4: Does he?
- 1:23Speaker 3: Jackson?
- 1:23Speaker 2: Do you think rule knew all along?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Like, do you think he knew the second that we
- 1:28Speaker 1: got him he's starting QB or do you think, like
- 1:31Speaker 1: as a head coach, do you think he actually is
- 1:33Speaker 1: playing it out in his mind and waiting for him
- 1:35Speaker 1: to prove it.
- 1:36Speaker 6: I think he gave it an honest run.
- 1:38Speaker 5: But I mean when you have special talented dudes, I
- 1:40Speaker 5: mean I don't care how old they are, I don't
- 1:43Speaker 5: care how much experience. I mean, I've seen two practices
- 1:46Speaker 5: in a spring game and and this stuff that Rowa.
- 1:49Speaker 5: He just he's so talented. He can do stuff that that.
- 1:52Speaker 5: I don't know if Harbord can necessarily do with that level. Now,
- 1:56Speaker 5: I I'm kind of a Harburg guy, like, I think
- 1:59Speaker 5: he's value to the program. Like I'm not bashing them
- 2:01Speaker 5: one bit, and I think we may need him at
- 2:03Speaker 5: some point. But I think Ryle from what I seen,
- 2:06Speaker 5: I mean when I went to the practice you could
- 2:09Speaker 5: go to, and then we went to one other practice,
- 2:11Speaker 5: I mean, the guy doesn't miss I mean, he's just
- 2:14Speaker 5: he's just really talented. So I mean you gotta I think,
- 2:19Speaker 5: when you watch that guy work out and you watch
- 2:21Speaker 5: him go live, you got to find a way to
- 2:22Speaker 5: make it work with a guy like that, you know.
- 2:24Speaker 5: So from what I've seen, so yeah, I think everybody
- 2:28Speaker 5: expected that, But I don't nice to have a little clarity.
- 2:32Speaker 5: I guess I'm not sure really the reason why they
- 2:34Speaker 5: announced it, but but I guess onside.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I'm sure it was going to come out, you know,
- 2:40Speaker 4: coming into the week, you know Royal was getting all
- 2:43Speaker 4: the first team reps. It's like, well, why why why
- 2:46Speaker 4: sugar coat it?
- 2:47Speaker 6: Right?
- 2:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I just why not wait till the depth chart
- 2:51Speaker 5: came out. I guess everybody wants to know what's what's
- 2:53Speaker 5: going on? But yeah, I think it's it's fun, fun
- 2:56Speaker 5: for US fans to know a little insight on it,
- 2:58Speaker 5: and and uh, all the hype's been around him, so
- 3:02Speaker 5: you know, I know, you see the other side of it.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Maybe a thing that they announced it so see if
- 3:08Speaker 5: he can produce.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the prediction maybe was that Rule is going to
- 3:13Speaker 1: announce it on the radio show tonight when he talked
- 3:16Speaker 1: with the media, but he did it obviously a lot
- 3:18Speaker 1: earlier in that.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I thought that was interesting.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Dak you sent us a nice fun text about one
- 3:25Speaker 1: of our offensive linemen. Why don't you share with everyone
- 3:27Speaker 1: what you found out?
- 3:28Speaker 3: Well, first off, one more thing about Royo boots on
- 3:30Speaker 3: the ground report here. The new hot thing at you
- 3:32Speaker 3: and l is a haircut. Every es I've saw walking
- 3:38Speaker 3: around down there, that's that goddamn haircut.
- 3:40Speaker 6: Patty Mahomes.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yep, well, yeah, okay, so I didn't know. I didn't
- 3:46Speaker 3: know before last episode that you're right guard was the
- 3:48Speaker 3: Florida Florida right guard that was throwing punch of the
- 3:51Speaker 3: tenancy running back. You guys are said at that position,
- 3:53Speaker 3: don't worry about it. That guy is a dog.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I don't know if any of you guys heard his
- 3:59Speaker 1: you spoke with the media yesterday or the day before,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and to Dak's point, he does. He sounds like a
- 4:06Speaker 1: guy who do not want to mess with and he
- 4:08Speaker 1: basically just said, no people.
- 4:10Speaker 2: People aren't We're not gonna have to or they're not
- 4:11Speaker 2: gonna have to come at us.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He goes, because we're gonna be here, and he goes,
- 4:15Speaker 1: we're gonna come at them, and basically sounded it's what
- 4:19Speaker 1: you want an offensive lineman to sound like. And no
- 4:24Speaker 1: offense to Mats Sick Drman and some of these past
- 4:26Speaker 1: offensive linemen. I think he was like a huddle analyst,
- 4:29Speaker 1: like you want scary, mean dudes on your offensive line,
- 4:33Speaker 1: nasty guys.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I think we got that.
- 4:37Speaker 5: That's what Nebraska football has been off of. Yeah, that's
- 4:42Speaker 5: what Nebraska football has been built off. I mean, Zach Weird,
- 4:44Speaker 5: all those guys. I mean those dudes were bad dudes.
- 4:47Speaker 5: I mean Dominic Ryoa, you know those guys were You
- 4:50Speaker 5: didn't mess with those guys, Cognido, you know all the time.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Look over your shoulder with that guy walking in the room.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I can't remember that dude throw any punches or you
- 5:02Speaker 3: just square out.
- 5:06Speaker 6: He just squeared up. He did throw a punch, but
- 5:07Speaker 6: it was a long ways away.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Yeah, with helmets on, with helmets on.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, because I think got suspended for a little
- 5:15Speaker 3: bit for that. But hell, when the hell the stands?
- 5:22Speaker 2: All right, let's.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Go through our defensive projected depth chart here?
- 5:41Speaker 6: All right?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Oh real quick, before we do that, we skipped the
- 5:46Speaker 1: most important position on the offensive side of the ball,
- 5:52Speaker 1: jan Iron Bonner, probably starting at full back.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Let's hope we get some touches.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Anything else you want to add to that?
- 6:00Speaker 6: Yeah, how about Ron Brown on the sideline is able
- 6:04Speaker 6: to coach? Now?
- 6:10Speaker 1: All right, defensive side of the ball here, Tony White
- 6:15Speaker 1: back paying him a little more money, well deserved. That
- 6:20Speaker 1: was probably one of the biggest quote unquote returning recruits
- 6:23Speaker 1: that we kept around for this year. He did a
- 6:27Speaker 1: fantastic job on a defense that nobody really believed it
- 6:31Speaker 1: was gonna work in the Big ten last year, and
- 6:35Speaker 1: it went above and beyond that. I think there are
- 6:40Speaker 1: some changes in our secondary in our coach. I guess
- 6:44Speaker 1: we'll get to that here in a second, but I
- 6:46Speaker 1: think that overall, the arrow's pointing up still for the defense. Now.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I think this year may be tougher to do that
- 6:53Speaker 1: because of how well we did last year, but they do.
- 6:56Speaker 2: They need to take a jump, specifically with maybe forcing
- 6:59Speaker 2: some more.
- 6:59Speaker 3: To and.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I think that that's a focus as they've stressed here
- 7:07Speaker 1: in the offseason.
- 7:08Speaker 2: But we can't get stagnant.
- 7:09Speaker 1: We can't just say, oh, we were good last year,
- 7:11Speaker 1: it's gonna be good again this year.
- 7:12Speaker 2: No, we can't be comfortable. Let's get better.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And I think from what it sounds like, Coach White
- 7:18Speaker 1: and Coach Rule are emphasizing that to the guys Austin,
- 7:23Speaker 1: what are your overall thoughts on our defense heading into
- 7:26Speaker 1: this year.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I mean, I think it speaks to the I want
- 7:33Speaker 4: to say necessarily say the talent, but the fact that
- 7:35Speaker 4: nine of the ten guys a single digits were all
- 7:38Speaker 4: on the defensive side. That's what happened last year, and
- 7:40Speaker 4: we kind of undervalued that going into the year, and
- 7:42Speaker 4: the defense looked steadily last year, so I kind of
- 7:45Speaker 4: expect that to carry over a little bit this year.
- 7:47Speaker 4: We didn't have a ton of losses on the defensive side.
- 7:50Speaker 4: I'm trying to think who our biggest loss would be.
- 7:53Speaker 4: I mean, Henrich and Wow, I just blanked on the
- 7:57Speaker 4: other linebacker that left, Yes, would.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Probably be a good dB.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Yeah, but by outside of them wear brown like the
- 8:07Speaker 4: other two linebackers are hurt a while last year. So
- 8:10Speaker 4: I think that we're actually in an okay spot going
- 8:14Speaker 4: into this year. I shouldn't. I don't expect as much
- 8:16Speaker 4: of a falloff as I probably would have expected based
- 8:19Speaker 4: on how good we were last year, just because it
- 8:21Speaker 4: seems like most people stuck around and ty Robinson looks
- 8:25Speaker 4: freaking massive. If you haven't seen the single digit numbers picture,
- 8:30Speaker 4: ty Robinson looks like a freaking animal, and the rest
- 8:33Speaker 4: of them are all athletes. It's crazy how big he looks.
- 8:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that.
- 8:41Speaker 5: You know, Tony White has said it all the time
- 8:43Speaker 5: in his press conference, has talked about like this team
- 8:46Speaker 5: hasn't done anything, And I think that's a I mean,
- 8:48Speaker 5: I think that's a approach you got to take you know,
- 8:51Speaker 5: there's there's a lot of reasons why you can be
- 8:52Speaker 5: excited about this defense. There's a lot of reasons you
- 8:54Speaker 5: can say, well, you know, were they as good as
- 8:58Speaker 5: the numbers said last year or playing a lot of
- 9:00Speaker 5: bad offensive teams. So you know, I think that I
- 9:04Speaker 5: think that you just you gotta you gotta have the
- 9:07Speaker 5: right mindset, You got to show up, you want to
- 9:08Speaker 5: get get better every day, and and uh, you know,
- 9:11Speaker 5: I think their objective is to be the best defensive
- 9:13Speaker 5: team that in the country. I mean, that's their goal.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Obviously that's gonna be a tough task. But I think
- 9:18Speaker 5: they're handling it the right way. I think they're approaching
- 9:20Speaker 5: it the right way. But you know, like we've said,
- 9:23Speaker 5: I like you guys have said on this show a
- 9:25Speaker 5: million times, like you got to see it, you got
- 9:27Speaker 5: to do it, you know.
- 9:28Speaker 6: I I think they've.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Got a lot of momentum, and I think they got
- 9:31Speaker 5: a lot of confidence, so that that always usually bodes well.
- 9:34Speaker 6: But we'll see.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Probably not catching as many people off guard this.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Year, right And I think you know, the adjustment to
- 9:42Speaker 5: the three three five in the Big Ten, I think,
- 9:44Speaker 5: you know, people will be more ready for that. So
- 9:47Speaker 5: you know it just you know, being good one year,
- 9:50Speaker 5: the biggest challenge is being good the next year. So
- 9:52Speaker 5: that's in any sport. So excited to see what what happens.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, the element of surprise is is gone for the
- 10:01Speaker 1: three three five. The good news is, I think the
- 10:03Speaker 1: defense is structured in a way that you can continue
- 10:06Speaker 1: to be creative. Uh, take some risks when you need
- 10:09Speaker 1: to doing different stunts at the line with your linebackers.
- 10:13Speaker 1: So I think there's a lot of things you can
- 10:15Speaker 1: still do with it. And that's just speaking from playing
- 10:18Speaker 1: on the video game with it a little bit. There's
- 10:19Speaker 1: there's just so many different formations that are variations of it.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I guess that make it look like a four to
- 10:25Speaker 1: three or a four two five, but it's still truly
- 10:28Speaker 1: that three three five. So with that being said, Actually, Dak,
- 10:32Speaker 1: you got any comments in our defense.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Well, the main thing is, yeah, they were good last year.
- 10:39Speaker 3: We got a factor in. Yeah, no offense at all
- 10:42Speaker 3: last year, so they're always on the field playing right.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Let's say you can now factor in the offense. Put
- 10:48Speaker 4: them in so many bad positions last year regardless. Yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 4: I mean.
- 10:51Speaker 3: A cardial game, you put them in jail at the
- 10:53Speaker 3: whole first half, and I think they just gave up
- 10:55Speaker 3: this thing. They're like kind of like, fuck you, But
- 10:57Speaker 3: anyway that that first happen was amazing.
- 11:02Speaker 4: They had like twelve sacks alone in that game.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and they gave up in the second the second
- 11:08Speaker 3: half because they're like, we have no chance of that offense.
- 11:10Speaker 3: But yeah, you got a factor in that your offense
- 11:13Speaker 3: will be better, well you hope better, so you I'll
- 11:17Speaker 3: know a lot more rest this year and won't be
- 11:19Speaker 3: playing as much hopefully. Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I think you guys nailed it that Colorado game, and
- 11:25Speaker 1: that is gonna be the first big offensive test here
- 11:29Speaker 1: that we see early on in the year, and it
- 11:31Speaker 1: starts with our D line.
- 11:32Speaker 2: So let's just jump into the depth chart here.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Terrence Knight in the D line, coach, we are listing
- 11:37Speaker 1: three guys here as D lineman. You can call a
- 11:41Speaker 1: couple of guys Edges, Nash. It's truly a nose tackle
- 11:47Speaker 1: in this defense for these guys that blackshirts. So Ty
- 11:51Speaker 1: Robinson we've mentioned him already, Jamari Butler and Campbell and Hurt.
- 11:56Speaker 1: We're gonna see all these guys play. Hawaijah Judy is
- 11:59Speaker 1: gonna be in there.
- 12:00Speaker 2: That mix too.
- 12:00Speaker 1: We're gonna see a lot of guys come in be fresh.
- 12:02Speaker 1: It is a very experienced group. I mean, you look, uh,
- 12:06Speaker 1: we're gonna be two seniors and a couple of juniors
- 12:09Speaker 1: out there.
- 12:10Speaker 2: So it should be a group that brings a lot
- 12:15Speaker 2: of experience and hopefully can get more pressure like we
- 12:18Speaker 2: saw in that first half of the Colorado game throughout
- 12:20Speaker 2: the rest of the year.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Yeah, those four guys with the projected blackshirts. I think
- 12:27Speaker 5: you can write that in Red Pin. I Rule said
- 12:29Speaker 5: tonight and his radio show that that you know probably
- 12:32Speaker 5: gonna start, you know, a three man front. But but
- 12:35Speaker 5: you know Cam lind Hard, if he doesn't start, he's
- 12:37Speaker 5: we we regard him as a starter. So those four guys,
- 12:41Speaker 5: I think, I think, I mean, unless something crazy happens,
- 12:44Speaker 5: I think those guys are going to be the first
- 12:46Speaker 5: guys you see, you know, with their with their hand
- 12:48Speaker 5: in the dirt.
- 12:49Speaker 3: So they're looking at maybe running a four man front
- 12:51Speaker 3: every now and then.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Well you just do I mean, the way I understand
- 12:56Speaker 5: it is, you can bring a guy down, you can
- 12:58Speaker 5: be four man front, you can be odd whatever.
- 13:00Speaker 3: You know.
- 13:00Speaker 5: It's just it's just so you know, you can just
- 13:02Speaker 5: play with it so much, so I don't I don't
- 13:05Speaker 5: know if it's they sometimes they brought that jack down
- 13:08Speaker 5: to the edge, you know, like Prince will or m J.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Sherman would come down and play that edge, and you
- 13:11Speaker 5: know they needed a little bigger front. Sometimes I think, uh,
- 13:15Speaker 5: you know Len Hart len Hart and uh and Jamari Butler.
- 13:18Speaker 6: Might both be playing the edges.
- 13:20Speaker 5: So you know, like Hunter said, it's just so you know,
- 13:22Speaker 5: it's just it can morph to whatever you know, they
- 13:24Speaker 5: kind of want to do, which is kind of the
- 13:26Speaker 5: cool thing.
- 13:27Speaker 1: And I think, I mean, Tyan Nash are going to
- 13:29Speaker 1: be down just strictly because of their size, but yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 1: all these guys are going to have the ability to
- 13:36Speaker 1: move around and that's what makes it very intriguing from
- 13:39Speaker 1: it and hard to hard to plan for on the
- 13:41Speaker 1: offensive side of the ball. Austin, anything else to add
- 13:46Speaker 1: on the D line.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I don't think so. I totally agree that the four
- 13:50Speaker 4: Blackshirts from last year are going to be leading the pack.
- 13:54Speaker 5: We think the D line is going to be the
- 13:56Speaker 5: strong point of our team. I mean that's what I think.
- 13:58Speaker 5: I don't know how you guys, but.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they need to be. I think from
- 14:04Speaker 1: especially in the Big Tens. As we know even the
- 14:07Speaker 1: new Big Ten, controlling the line of scrimmage is most
- 14:11Speaker 1: importance on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And that's led by these guys, and Nash and Tire
- 14:18Speaker 1: are gonna be hard dudes to move.
- 14:20Speaker 5: And also I'll say to that the wild card and
- 14:23Speaker 5: this whole thing that that the coaches talked about all
- 14:26Speaker 5: over and over, that might be the next Black Shirts.
- 14:28Speaker 5: James Williams, they call him, call Rock the Baby, the
- 14:31Speaker 5: sack Man, and they're really exciting. You know, Elijah Judy,
- 14:35Speaker 5: they've talked about him several times to transfer from Texas
- 14:37Speaker 5: and m And then you know Riley Van Popple, that
- 14:39Speaker 5: big goal line stop at Illinois. I mean, it got
- 14:42Speaker 5: some dudes, man. I you know, I just hope they
- 14:45Speaker 5: not satisfied with last year.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I want to give a shout out to Riley Van
- 14:50Speaker 1: Poppole winning the Heisman on college football twenty five and
- 14:54Speaker 1: my third year, Oh my gosh, shout And I will
- 15:00Speaker 1: say this, I wasn't even controlling him half the time.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I liked the control linebacker. Okay, moving on to the
- 15:07Speaker 1: linebacking group. Rob Devorcek, the position coach, there uh three
- 15:14Speaker 1: guys listed here as well as standard for the three
- 15:16Speaker 1: three five, but again, like Jackson mentioned, a lot of
- 15:19Speaker 1: moving parts. John Bollock projected starter one there that jack
- 15:25Speaker 1: position will be Prince Will and MJ.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Sherman. Javin Wright.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Since our last episode, that's been a bit of a
- 15:32Speaker 1: bummer news. I have not looked into seeing if there's
- 15:36Speaker 1: anything more out of about that. The initial ruling was
- 15:40Speaker 1: out indefinitely, but he's still listed here.
- 15:46Speaker 4: That they didn't give any specifics, so.
- 15:49Speaker 6: H not football related to what rules said.
- 15:51Speaker 4: To medical issues.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Interesting, You guys don't know Javin right. So I had
- 15:59Speaker 5: a cousin of a walk on ride wide receiver there.
- 16:01Speaker 5: He was best friends with Javin. So Jabin actually hung
- 16:04Speaker 5: out on my couch in my living room a couple
- 16:06Speaker 5: of summers ago for a few hours, so he was
- 16:09Speaker 5: he didn't really understand why there was all the Husker
- 16:12Speaker 5: stuff on the walls. I said, yeah, we're crazy here,
- 16:13Speaker 5: we love this stuff, and he's like wow. So anyway,
- 16:16Speaker 5: he's a good kid, terrible form, you know. I think
- 16:20Speaker 5: there's a chance he can come back, So I hope
- 16:22Speaker 5: they can get him back.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I will say this, I think we're still in good,
- 16:27Speaker 1: good shape there. Obviously we get a little less deep,
- 16:31Speaker 1: but I think Mackay Bayer is a good option. He
- 16:34Speaker 1: saw plays and snaps last year. I remember actually talking
- 16:38Speaker 1: to Jackson. I'm like, who the heck is this guy?
- 16:40Speaker 1: And Jackson exactly who he was, and I'm like, oh so,
- 16:43Speaker 1: And that was early on in the year, So I
- 16:45Speaker 1: think we have some options. The linebacking Herve out of
- 16:49Speaker 1: the three, is the one I'm probably most concerned about.
- 16:54Speaker 1: We have a couple of seniors, but I just don't
- 16:57Speaker 1: feel like we're very deep, and outside of those guys
- 17:01Speaker 1: that have played a little bit, there's not much experience there.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I think it has potential, but I do I do.
- 17:08Speaker 1: This is the one position that I worry about the
- 17:11Speaker 1: most to losing a couple of key players last year
- 17:15Speaker 1: from that starting group. And I think the linebackers are
- 17:18Speaker 1: your quarterbacks right of your defense. Say, they're the ones
- 17:21Speaker 1: that are seeing the line of scrimmage. They're they're seeing
- 17:24Speaker 1: the motions, they're calling stuff out, they're the ones communicating
- 17:27Speaker 1: to everybody else, the secondaries on their end, and the
- 17:30Speaker 1: d lins got their job. So it's one of the
- 17:32Speaker 1: most important positions, and it's also the one of the
- 17:35Speaker 1: more concerning in my mind.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Well, plus with the three three to five, you know
- 17:40Speaker 4: they're in the middle of that three three five, so
- 17:42Speaker 4: that kind of impacts your flexibility if they're if they're
- 17:44Speaker 4: a weaker unit.
- 17:47Speaker 3: It's what those new teams coming in to Big Ten. It's
- 17:49Speaker 3: gonna be really tough to play linebacker because you go
- 17:51Speaker 3: from Iowa team, then you go to a spread usc
- 17:54Speaker 3: back to like Wisconsin run the ball, Minnesota run the ball,
- 17:57Speaker 3: and then you go Oregon watch all you there's new
- 17:59Speaker 3: teams come in runs. So it's gonna be totally different
- 18:01Speaker 3: every game.
- 18:02Speaker 5: That's where losing Javon hurts because he was really good
- 18:05Speaker 5: in leverage. One thing I'll say about the linebackers that
- 18:10Speaker 5: you know, these guys can all move around. So like
- 18:13Speaker 5: they're talking about, you know, Makai Bayer playing inside linebacker,
- 18:17Speaker 5: and then you know, then they're talking about you know,
- 18:20Speaker 5: Rule set to night on his radio show that he
- 18:22Speaker 5: thought Johnny Bowlot could be one of the better linebackers
- 18:24Speaker 5: in the conference.
- 18:25Speaker 6: And then you know, Prince.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Will is supposed to be one of our best players
- 18:28Speaker 5: coming back, so and MJ. Sherman starts, so you just
- 18:31Speaker 5: don't know quite where they all fit. It's you know,
- 18:34Speaker 5: it's kind of hard to tell on that part of it.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I like speed at linebackers. I mean that's the big thing.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I think our poor linebacker cores in the past fifteen
- 18:45Speaker 1: years have been slow, and it's been very evident. I
- 18:48Speaker 1: think these guys got some speed though, which is is
- 18:51Speaker 1: a bonus.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Moving on here, I was just gonna say, without Javin,
- 18:58Speaker 4: we lose of our five of our top seven tacklers
- 19:04Speaker 4: from last year. Yeah, so.
- 19:11Speaker 6: The worth noting, Yeah, it was just like second tackles Jevin.
- 19:16Speaker 3: It's j.
- 19:20Speaker 1: John Butler, the position coach, new position coach for the secondary.
- 19:26Speaker 1: From what I've heard about him, he brings a very
- 19:29Speaker 1: NFL type mindset to this group, which I think is
- 19:34Speaker 1: important to have. The secondary. We talk about moving parts
- 19:38Speaker 1: on the linebackers. The secondary is where things are really
- 19:42Speaker 1: getting shifted around, finding where guys fit in. Malcolm Hartzog's
- 19:47Speaker 1: one that is getting thrown into safety and that sounds
- 19:49Speaker 1: like where he's gonna end up playing playing this year.
- 19:52Speaker 2: We are very experienced in the back end.
- 19:54Speaker 3: And I like that.
- 19:55Speaker 1: There's a lot of guys that have played a lot
- 19:57Speaker 1: of snaps for US. I think there's a lot of
- 20:02Speaker 1: flexibility with some of these other guys that are right
- 20:04Speaker 1: below them. I don't think it's our strongest position, like
- 20:08Speaker 1: we talked about the D line, but I do think
- 20:09Speaker 1: it's solid. I do think we are going to have
- 20:12Speaker 1: to make plays back here more this year than what
- 20:15Speaker 1: we have in the past to force some turnovers. I
- 20:18Speaker 1: think we have some potential there, but we've also seen
- 20:21Speaker 1: some of these guys get burned in some big, big
- 20:24Speaker 1: play moments in the past as well, So I think
- 20:27Speaker 1: there's a fine line of jumping a ball and taking
- 20:31Speaker 1: a risk versus playing a little more conservative then don't
- 20:34Speaker 1: break style. I don't really know what that's going to
- 20:37Speaker 1: look like here from what it sounds like, maybe we're
- 20:40Speaker 1: going to be a little more aggressive, but that might
- 20:42Speaker 1: come with taking some more risks and getting beat over
- 20:45Speaker 1: the top, So I will have to see. I think
- 20:49Speaker 1: this group is its solid. I think there's a lot
- 20:53Speaker 1: of depth here and like I said, very flexible.
- 20:56Speaker 4: What a resurrection story for Tommy Hill. That's a's projective
- 21:00Speaker 4: drafted first round. That man was fumbling punts two years.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Ago, bumbling punts and remember that he was a wide receiver.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Yeah, Travis was with him. Mm hmm.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Coming in last year, you guys were like, I
- 21:15Speaker 3: don't know where this guy's even gonna play?
- 21:18Speaker 2: What what?
- 21:20Speaker 1: What's interesting is that Rule liked him from the jump,
- 21:24Speaker 1: and so the previous staff liked him too, like like
- 21:28Speaker 1: for us liked him he wanted somehow to play, and
- 21:30Speaker 1: Fisher did like but there he has something about him
- 21:34Speaker 1: that I think coaches won him on the field and
- 21:38Speaker 1: I do think him getting the highest rating and that
- 21:41Speaker 1: was all over social media on the video game. People
- 21:43Speaker 1: just think Tommy Hill's just is awesome defender, which I
- 21:47Speaker 1: think he's gonna be solid. I think he might be
- 21:49Speaker 1: getting a little over hyped, but yeah, you're right, But dude,
- 21:54Speaker 1: you know.
- 21:54Speaker 6: He was good last year. He was good last year,
- 21:57Speaker 6: and you're.
- 21:58Speaker 5: Kind of a funny story about you know, Travis Fish
- 22:00Speaker 5: sure that two cornerback coaches Ago said Tommy Hill's name
- 22:04Speaker 5: could be hanging up in Memorial Stadium someday, and then
- 22:06Speaker 5: about two weeks later he said, get him out of
- 22:08Speaker 5: my dB room.
- 22:10Speaker 6: You know, I just you know, I I kind of
- 22:13Speaker 6: maybe have an.
- 22:14Speaker 5: Idea of you know what type of you know, how
- 22:16Speaker 5: it is to coach him, and he's probably just a
- 22:17Speaker 5: guy that needs some people that that help him along
- 22:20Speaker 5: the way, and UH coaching staff is obviously done well
- 22:23Speaker 5: with him, so Rule to night. So Marquise Buford was
- 22:28Speaker 5: the one question mark for me because he always played
- 22:30Speaker 5: when Frost was here. He was always safety and he
- 22:32Speaker 5: was pretty good back there before he got hurt and
- 22:34Speaker 5: Hartzog was cornerback. So they flip flopped, and Rule said
- 22:38Speaker 5: at night in his radio show that it'll be Tommy
- 22:40Speaker 5: Hill and Marky Spuford starting a cornerback.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So so he get rid of the ore on black Hill, Yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 1: we can get you can get rid of that.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Yeah. Four of our ten single digit guys are in
- 22:54Speaker 4: the back, So I think you're right on when you
- 22:58Speaker 4: say that. Just the experience, we said, the D line
- 23:03Speaker 4: is probably the one we feel the best about. But honestly, the.
- 23:07Speaker 3: D I feel good too.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 4: I feel pretty good about that too.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you're your depth from your defense to your offenses,
- 23:14Speaker 3: like night and day. Yeah, I think guys are on offense,
- 23:19Speaker 3: you have no faith behind that defense. You you feel
- 23:22Speaker 3: pretty good with the guys behind them.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Wide receivers are pretty good, I think, Yeah, running back,
- 23:28Speaker 5: we don't.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Know you're a line though, O line line.
- 23:33Speaker 4: I feel like the O line and the linebacking groups
- 23:35Speaker 4: are both the thinnest groups.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Ye, I don't know, we got one coming up.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Yeah, let's just go to the hat. Moving on the
- 23:46Speaker 1: specialist special teams.
- 23:48Speaker 4: You have to have a you have to have a
- 23:49Speaker 4: top to be thin.
- 23:53Speaker 1: So are placekicker who is kicked and field goals and
- 23:59Speaker 1: extra points for so that is still up in the
- 24:01Speaker 1: air to be determined. It sounds like it's probably down
- 24:04Speaker 1: to Tristan Albano and John hole.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 24:09Speaker 1: This just makes me cringe one because Albano wasn't great
- 24:13Speaker 1: to begin with and now he's also injured. So not
- 24:17Speaker 1: only does he have the mental side of dealing with
- 24:21Speaker 1: not being a great kicker from last year, but now
- 24:23Speaker 1: also he's dealing with an injury.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Maybe John Holt can come in and be the answer.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Has he been that bad in camp? Albano hurt, he.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Had some hamstring surgery done, but supposedly uh and fully
- 24:42Speaker 4: came out and said that he's actually kicking pretty well.
- 24:44Speaker 4: That's what he said. You know what I mean, You're
- 24:46Speaker 4: not gonna like my kickers.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Dog shit, they're all mental midges. You don't want to
- 24:53Speaker 3: don't want to say, yeah, this dude sucks.
- 24:56Speaker 5: John Hole is gonna get the first extra point of
- 24:59Speaker 5: the year. That's my that's my read. It's gonna be
- 25:02Speaker 5: John Howley. I think I think Albano is really good
- 25:05Speaker 5: and he can, but he just, you know, he just
- 25:07Speaker 5: wasn't as I think they really like Albano, I really do,
- 25:11Speaker 5: and I think Albano is so ed Foley said that
- 25:15Speaker 5: Albano is just he's just got a really good mental
- 25:18Speaker 5: makeup for a kicker, and he's a special kicker. But
- 25:21Speaker 5: I think, you know, his his uh consistency last year
- 25:25Speaker 5: was and he didn't miss an extra point now, so.
- 25:28Speaker 4: He did miss any extra points. He missed five six
- 25:30Speaker 4: field goals.
- 25:32Speaker 6: What would you call them?
- 25:33Speaker 4: Then?
- 25:34Speaker 3: He was.
- 25:36Speaker 6: Fourteen for twenty one.
- 25:38Speaker 4: He has nine for fifteen is what I have on ESPN,
- 25:41Speaker 4: And he missed he missed one in the thirty to
- 25:44Speaker 4: thirty nine range and five in the forty to forty
- 25:46Speaker 4: nine rage. But he's good for fifty five and he
- 25:50Speaker 4: was for two and.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Under thirty the second longest kick in Nebraska football history
- 25:55Speaker 5: behind Alex Henry. So the News challenged, I mean, it's
- 25:59Speaker 5: not crappy by any means. But you know, I just
- 26:02Speaker 5: think I think, uh, you know Rule said to nine
- 26:05Speaker 5: in his radio show, that's one thing that keeps him
- 26:07Speaker 5: up at night.
- 26:07Speaker 6: You know, they got to figure out that kicker spot.
- 26:09Speaker 5: And if you don't trust that guy one hundred percent
- 26:12Speaker 5: that the kids know that the kids, uh you know,
- 26:16Speaker 5: you're kind of wavering on your faith on him. And
- 26:18Speaker 5: so you know, I would I would guess that they
- 26:21Speaker 5: would just get him healthy and ready to go, just
- 26:23Speaker 5: for the middle side of it more than anything. And
- 26:25Speaker 5: when I went to that that the fan practice John
- 26:28Speaker 5: Hole was impressive.
- 26:29Speaker 6: I mean he was.
- 26:30Speaker 5: He was drilling him from forty plus and they were
- 26:32Speaker 5: writing all state hands right on the money.
- 26:34Speaker 6: So I my guess would be.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Would John Hole would take the kicking spot as of
- 26:40Speaker 5: right now?
- 26:43Speaker 2: Uh, the punter, we better change brain to Brian Brian.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Brian Bushini's most likely going to get the nodded our
- 26:56Speaker 1: punting position, minimize the shanks. That that's the only real
- 27:01Speaker 1: thing I had to say. Or he's got a leg.
- 27:02Speaker 1: We've seen the leg. We've seen some of his bombs,
- 27:05Speaker 1: the Boushini bombs. Just got to minimize the really bad ones.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I think the approach that we are taking on special
- 27:13Speaker 1: teams with the kicking, the punting obviously the ball security
- 27:17Speaker 1: on both returns. I think that's very important. I think
- 27:23Speaker 1: that's good almost treating it like it's thirty three percent of.
- 27:26Speaker 2: The game because I do it.
- 27:28Speaker 1: It impacts the game so much, especially in the Big Ten,
- 27:31Speaker 1: when you're playing a lot of these teams that your
- 27:33Speaker 1: possessions are minimized because of the run, the ball and
- 27:36Speaker 1: the clocks movements.
- 27:37Speaker 2: So any comments on.
- 27:40Speaker 5: Bhi, I got a question for you, guys, o case,
- 27:42Speaker 5: So this is the way I think. So I know football,
- 27:47Speaker 5: at football coaches, there's there's so much importance on the
- 27:49Speaker 5: hidden the yardage.
- 27:50Speaker 6: I get that, okay, But.
- 27:52Speaker 5: To me, I think a lot of the why Boushini
- 27:55Speaker 5: had struggled last year at times. And I don't think
- 27:57Speaker 5: he was terrible. I think he had some bad ones,
- 27:59Speaker 5: But I mean, to me, I want to know why
- 28:02Speaker 5: just if you if you're if you're shaky on it,
- 28:04Speaker 5: kick it through the end zone, stop trying to pin it.
- 28:07Speaker 5: I mean, is that is that just stupid to think?
- 28:10Speaker 3: No?
- 28:12Speaker 4: I think sometimes he was trying to kick it through
- 28:13Speaker 4: the end of them and shaped it out.
- 28:15Speaker 5: I'm telling you guys that he's he's got a canon
- 28:18Speaker 5: of a leg.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Think about some of his best punts where when we were,
- 28:24Speaker 1: you know, on our own twenty or twenty five or thirty,
- 28:26Speaker 1: when when you're not thinking about placing it really anywhere,
- 28:29Speaker 1: you're just you got the whole field and see you later.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I that's a really good point.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, when we're when we're nearing midfield and
- 28:40Speaker 1: if we you know, need to punt, I think that's
- 28:43Speaker 1: something to think about instead of overthinking. It's kind of
- 28:47Speaker 1: like a chip shot in golf, you know if you
- 28:49Speaker 1: overthink it and you short arm it and then you
- 28:51Speaker 1: doff it right. So, uh, if they do chance, yep,
- 28:56Speaker 1: just play it safe. I think that's important.
- 29:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I thought on it.
- 29:04Speaker 5: I don't know although they Mashine got interviewed to this
- 29:07Speaker 5: week and he said he's hitting it better than he
- 29:09Speaker 5: than he has.
- 29:10Speaker 4: And everyone's doing the best they've ever been.
- 29:15Speaker 6: And tip the yup. That kind of seems like a
- 29:16Speaker 6: trend for Nebraska.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Uh, long snapper don't need to mention they're talking too
- 29:24Speaker 1: much about these guys will say their name Camden, Kentucky.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Do a good job back there, I mean, pretty simple job.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Actually, I had something that I think.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Uh, returns. I think there's a lot of names that
- 29:38Speaker 2: you could throw around here.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Isaiah Garcia castanedas one we've been hearing Jacorey Barney just
- 29:43Speaker 1: sounds like just a speed freak. Uh.
- 29:47Speaker 2: And we will probably.
- 29:49Speaker 1: See him back there at some point this year, and
- 29:50Speaker 1: then the two Johnson's out of the backfield also are
- 29:55Speaker 1: going to be solid returners as well. This intrigues me.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I think we need to get something out of here too.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I think Rule's a big believer in returning kicks as
- 30:03Speaker 1: we saw last year, which I think is very good.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I think he said, you know, the ball's in play,
- 30:07Speaker 1: we're returning it. I think that makes a lot of sense.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Any other comments on returners.
- 30:14Speaker 5: Rule said that if we played tomorrow would be Isaiah
- 30:16Speaker 5: Garcia Castanada. But Rule also said that Garcia igc has
- 30:21Speaker 5: good days and bad days, kind of with his knee
- 30:23Speaker 5: a little bit. So you know, Rule said, if we
- 30:26Speaker 5: played tomorrow would be him, but you know, we'll see.
- 30:28Speaker 5: So I think he's, you know, whether it's a mental
- 30:31Speaker 5: thing or whatever it is. I think he's kind of
- 30:33Speaker 5: trying to get back to feeling himself a little bit.
- 30:35Speaker 5: But I think back there, I mean on my return guy,
- 30:38Speaker 5: I mean, you got to have a guy back there
- 30:39Speaker 5: you really trust, and I think with his you know, experience,
- 30:44Speaker 5: And Dak says, he's played college football for seventy two years.
- 30:47Speaker 5: You know you probably that guy many minimal mistakes back there, so.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he's gotta know how to catch a
- 30:55Speaker 3: pump by now.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Right, That's why I guess him and are We're probably
- 31:00Speaker 4: do quite a bit of returns returns.
- 31:03Speaker 5: All I can think of when I think I GC
- 31:05Speaker 5: is that catch he had in Ireland and I was
- 31:08Speaker 5: sitting in his backyard and I'm like, gosh, we're gonna
- 31:10Speaker 5: be good.
- 31:10Speaker 6: We're fine. Process, fine, it's all gonna work out. And yeah,
- 31:17Speaker 6: one kicked it.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Cow long before college football Atdobs NFL kickoff roles.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Soon, yep, within two years, it'll be it'll be here
- 31:30Speaker 1: before we know it. All Right, good discussion there. Let's
- 31:37Speaker 1: see how spot on we are with our depth charts.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I say we are special analysts, they're depth charts.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Uh.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Week zero guys is here. That means it's time for
- 31:50Speaker 1: Dak to unleash all of his wisdom and give us
- 31:55Speaker 1: his locks each week. So this year, how we're going
- 32:00Speaker 1: to do this a little bit differently. That's going to
- 32:04Speaker 1: get thirty seconds. He can rattle off as many as
- 32:06Speaker 1: he can for Week zero and doesn't really need to
- 32:10Speaker 1: provide an explanation. Now, there's only four games this week,
- 32:13Speaker 1: so he might elaborate a little bit because he's got time.
- 32:16Speaker 1: But in the future it's going to be rapid fire,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and then when we're done, we will have the discussion
- 32:21Speaker 1: and we're going to keep track of all this rank,
- 32:25Speaker 1: all these scores and wins and losses very closely this year, Dak,
- 32:30Speaker 1: would you say seventy that's your yep, that's.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Your happy, right, fifty I'll be happy, but seventy is
- 32:41Speaker 3: fifty five.
- 32:43Speaker 2: We need to win money, Dak. That's all we want.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Fifty six?
- 32:45Speaker 3: How much? Fifty six?
- 32:51Speaker 6: All right?
- 32:52Speaker 1: Well, I think we're four games this week, uh, Florida
- 32:57Speaker 1: State and Georgia Tech. That's the headliner, the Iron in
- 33:01Speaker 1: the game that kicks off at eleven, and then Montana
- 33:06Speaker 1: State in New Mexico at three, SMU and Nevada at seven,
- 33:14Speaker 1: and then a late game eleven pm Delaware State in Hawaii.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Fun one.
- 33:21Speaker 3: That'll be so we'll see how anywhere?
- 33:26Speaker 1: All right, Dak, you're ready, yep, thirty seconds on the
- 33:31Speaker 1: clock and you're going.
- 33:33Speaker 6: All right.
- 33:34Speaker 3: So, first of all, I got Delaware State plus thirty
- 33:36Speaker 3: nine against Hawaii. First off, they even land in Hawaii
- 33:38Speaker 3: yet I don't know what's going on there. The fly
- 33:40Speaker 3: got played something like that. There's supposed to be a
- 33:42Speaker 3: hurricane 're in the game. I don't think if there's
- 33:44Speaker 3: a hurricane during the game, I don't think Hawaii being
- 33:46Speaker 3: by forty. Next one, Nevada plus twenty five against SMU,
- 33:51Speaker 3: You know what, I think Nevada has always been a
- 33:54Speaker 3: decent team. I know nothing about most of these teams
- 33:56Speaker 3: I'm singing here, so that's all right anyway, I think
- 33:59Speaker 3: Nevad has been a decent team. SMU has been all
- 34:01Speaker 3: right too. I just think Nevada can keep within twenty
- 34:03Speaker 3: five points next to New Mexico plus eleven and a
- 34:06Speaker 3: half against Montana State. Montana State just sounds like team
- 34:09Speaker 3: it sucks. Or no, it's New Mexico minus eleven and
- 34:12Speaker 3: a half against Montana State. Montana State sounds like team
- 34:15Speaker 3: it sucks. I'm taking New Mexico minus eleven and a
- 34:17Speaker 3: half next on Georgia Tech plus ten ten Halpgainst. Florida State.
- 34:21Speaker 3: I don't know why plus and a half. There's a
- 34:23Speaker 3: reason it was fourteen and a half. It's dropped this little.
- 34:25Speaker 3: There's gotta be a reason that it keeps dropping. I
- 34:28Speaker 3: think george Tech will be all right this season. They
- 34:30Speaker 3: got Haynes. Haynes can't come back. And it's always it's
- 34:35Speaker 3: a primetime game every it's always the Iland games usually closed.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Last year was a shitty game, so it wasn't but
- 34:41Speaker 3: the Island takeoff games is just pretty close. So I
- 34:43Speaker 3: got Georgie Tech plus ten and a half.
- 34:45Speaker 4: No way was thirty second.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You gotta work on your timing here.
- 34:48Speaker 4: That was four games and I'm pretty sure you blew
- 34:52Speaker 4: through like a minute and a half.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Well how long was that was?
- 34:55Speaker 2: Like a minute? I had about a minute.
- 34:58Speaker 6: So what time?
- 34:58Speaker 5: My question is what time do we have to stay
- 35:00Speaker 5: up to see that Hawaii final score? At like six
- 35:03Speaker 5: am or something?
- 35:06Speaker 1: It'll be it'll be yeah, right, three o'clock, three am.
- 35:10Speaker 1: So first thing, dak it is New Mexico plus eleven
- 35:18Speaker 1: and a half. Montana State is favored by eleven and
- 35:22Speaker 1: a half. New Mexico is horrible. They got Bronco Mendenhall
- 35:27Speaker 1: is their head coaches.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Here, what's for the bobcats Man?
- 35:30Speaker 2: You're you're getting plus eleven instead of minus eleven.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Yeah, don't don't give me minus eleven. Still give it
- 35:37Speaker 3: to me.
- 35:40Speaker 2: So did you take all dogs? You did? Didn't you? Yes?
- 35:45Speaker 3: I did? Wow At Georgia Tech. When I was a
- 35:51Speaker 3: coin flip, I did not know which way to go.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I was gonna say, I might. I might go with
- 35:54Speaker 1: you on that one. I like Florida State a lot
- 35:56Speaker 1: in that. No, I took Georgia Tech, I know, so
- 36:01Speaker 1: I might go against you on that. I said with
- 36:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna go against you.
- 36:04Speaker 3: There's a reason though, that's dropping.
- 36:07Speaker 6: I think they're gonna smash them.
- 36:08Speaker 5: They're pissed off they didn't make a football playoffs. Will
- 36:11Speaker 5: out send a message?
- 36:13Speaker 1: Oh remember that? That is horrible. I'm honestly I might.
- 36:18Speaker 1: I might go opposite of all of you because I.
- 36:20Speaker 6: Like second stringer.
- 36:25Speaker 5: Speaking of that, how about our quarterbacks Jeff Simms and Chubb?
- 36:28Speaker 5: With Purty not getting a nod on the QB one wonder.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Why Jeff Simms is in the running.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Not anymore? Jeff sim State.
- 36:44Speaker 3: This week zero. Give you guys nightmares.
- 36:47Speaker 4: It's so bad.
- 36:48Speaker 6: I'm glad we're not playing.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Yeah, h bets late.
- 36:54Speaker 2: It's football. That's what I love like.
- 36:58Speaker 1: People that aren't tuning in on Saturday or at least
- 37:01Speaker 1: following along. I say that because we'll be at a
- 37:05Speaker 1: golf tournament, so may not be watching a lot of.
- 37:07Speaker 2: It on TV.
- 37:08Speaker 1: But if you're not watching that Florida State Georgia Tech game,
- 37:11Speaker 1: are you really a true fan?
- 37:12Speaker 2: I mean a week zero week zero baby.
- 37:17Speaker 6: Although that stadium is haunting as well, So I don't know.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know, but we really to see it on
- 37:22Speaker 2: TV next year.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Next year, I want to be surprised if hunters there,
- 37:25Speaker 3: it's Case State, Iowa State.
- 37:28Speaker 2: There we go after Avery Johnson wins the Heisman this year?
- 37:33Speaker 3: Yeah okay, yeah, you put money on that.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I've already had you know that.
- 37:39Speaker 6: Hey, Deak, are are you like rolling in the money
- 37:42Speaker 6: right now on what?
- 37:44Speaker 3: Well?
- 37:45Speaker 6: You knew Dylan Riyloy is going to start? For sure?
- 37:47Speaker 6: You should have bet on it.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Ah, yeah, I thought about it.
- 37:54Speaker 2: It was plus it was plus odds at one point it.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Was was it really?
- 37:59Speaker 2: Oh?
- 37:59Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 38:02Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 38:03Speaker 3: Are you serious? Okay? I wish I know him that.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Now you're you're hating your life now, aren't Jeff.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Was not plus Oz.
- 38:12Speaker 6: It was look it up.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Okay, well I missed out on that one.
- 38:19Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back on Sunday. It'll be game week.
- 38:25Speaker 1: We'll be talking some UTEP minors. See what they got
- 38:29Speaker 1: for us. I really have no idea. I just know
- 38:32Speaker 1: they got a new coach.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Hey, that's probably more of the most people.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Lots of research I doing that one.
