- 0:03I am confused, being philosophically consistent and
- 0:06being very honest person. I'm sure you can tell me where
- 0:08God came from. And in addition, in addition,
- 0:14once you've told me where God comes from, please try to
- 0:17clarify how you can figure that a spiritual force can have an
- 0:24impact on a material universe to create it.
- 0:28I think that some years ago we already talked about that kind
- 0:31of thing, and philosophical circles.
- 0:33At any rate, by posing the question if angels are made of
- 0:38spiritual matter and a pen is made of material matter, and
- 0:44spiritual matter displaces no space, how many angels can dance
- 0:49on the tip of a pen? I have a sense of sort of
- 0:58reversal experience here, but but please do go ahead.
- 1:02You got 5 minutes now I just want to which question.
- 1:04All right, you may take the first few minutes.
- 1:06We. Supposed to do one question at a
- 1:07time. Which one would you like?
- 1:09That was part of the format for the debate.
- 1:12So which which I want you to fill in the story of the rest of
- 1:14the beginning of the universe. God.
- 1:17Spiritual matter? Impact on material matter.
- 1:20So two questions. All right.
- 1:23Go ahead. All right, Your question, where
- 1:25did God come from? Assumes that you're thinking of
- 1:27the wrong. Obviously it displays that
- 1:29you're thinking of the wrong God.
- 1:31Because the God of the Bible is not affected by time, space, or
- 1:34matter. If he's if he's affected by
- 1:36time, space, or matter, he's not God.
- 1:38Time, space, and matter is what we call a continuum.
- 1:41All of them have to come into existence at the same instant.
- 1:44Because if there were matter but no space, where would you put
- 1:46it? If there were matter and space
- 1:48but no time, when would you put it?
- 1:51You cannot have time, space, or matter independently.
- 1:54They have to come into existence simultaneously.
- 1:56The Bible answers that in 10 words in the beginning, there's
- 2:00time. God created the heaven, there's
- 2:03space and the earth. There's matter.
- 2:05So you have time, space, matter created a Trinity of trinities
- 2:08there. Just, you know time is past,
- 2:09present, future. Space has length, width, height.
- 2:11Matter has solid, liquid gas. You have a Trinity of Trinity is
- 2:14created instantaneously, and the God who created them has to be
- 2:17outside of them. If he's limited by time, he's
- 2:20not God. The guy who created this
- 2:22computer is not in the computer. He's not running around and
- 2:25they're changing the numbers on the screen.
- 2:26Okay, the God who created this universe is outside of the
- 2:30universe. He's above it, beyond it, in it,
- 2:32through it. He's he's unaffected by it.
- 2:34So for Dan, the concept that of a spiritual force cannot have
- 2:39any effect on a material body. Well then I guess you'd have to
- 2:42explain to me things like emotions and love and hatred and
- 2:45envy and jealousy and and rationality.
- 2:48I mean, if your brain is just a random collection of chemicals
- 2:51that formed by chance over billions of years, how on earth
- 2:53can you trust your own reasoning processes and the thoughts that
- 2:55you you think, OK, so your your question, where did God come
- 3:03from? Is assuming a limited God.
- 3:07That's your problem. The God that I worship is not
- 3:09limited by time, space, or matter.
- 3:11If I could fit the infinite God in my 3 pound brain, he would
- 3:14not be worth worshipping. That's for certain.
- 3:16So that's the God that I worship.
- 3:17Thank you.
