Connor MacIvor explains buyer broker agreements for people buying a home. Because of the lawsuit over commissions involving the National Association of Realtors, agents may now give buyers a contract that says who pays their commission: the seller, or the buyer if the seller will not. He notes the agreement can cover every house or one specific home. He cautions about using the listing agent, who knows both the seller's position and your finances. His advice: read it line by line, ask questions, take notes, and email the agent a recap.
