- Sarahn Sankofa: Hello beautiful people. Today is September 1st. That's right. We are in a new month. Can you believe it? Wow, look at life. Mm-mm. Today's calendar challenge is enjoy some alone time. September Is a slow month. It's kind of that in-between month between summer and the and the the crazy excitement of fall. So this month I want you to just slow down a little bit, enjoy some solitude. Being alone doesn't have to mean being lonely. Sometimes it's just an opportunity for us to connect to ourselves and enjoy our own company. The best company that you can have is yourself. And being alone gives you a chance to hear yourself without everyone else. Opinions or needs or requests or noise, you can really check in with what you actually want, feel, and need. It's okay to rest in your solitude. You don't have to be productive. You can be restorative in your alone time. Stepping away from the constant stimulation can give your mind and body a chance to reset. So do something that you enjoy today and learn to enjoy your own rhythm. Eat when you're hungry, walk at your own pace. Browse through the bookstore, take the scenic grout on the way home. There is freedom in not having to coordinate with anyone else but yourself. Remember all. Alone and lonely are not the same thing. You can be alone and deeply fulfilled. You can also feel lonely while surrounded by people. The goal isn't isolation, it's learning to appreciate intentional solitude. You don't always need someone else to make a moment special. Sometimes the most joyful company is your own. Just enough is more than enough, Saran says.
