- 1:21Speaker 1: let's go, let's go. It's a story you need to
- 1:26Speaker 1: hear to believe. Then grab your popcorn because there is more.
- 1:33Speaker 1: When in doubt, you will hear people invoke race because
- 1:37Speaker 1: they have no other argument they can possibly make. They
- 1:41Speaker 1: can't engage in facts, so they have to engage in
- 1:44Speaker 1: what's going to get me a click. It doesn't matter
- 1:48Speaker 1: how ignorant it is, it doesn't matter how foolhardy they sound.
- 1:54Speaker 1: It's always the same. I can talk about race, and
- 2:00Speaker 1: that's going to get me reputation capital and that's good
- 2:03Speaker 1: for me. So I'll just make the claim that somebody
- 2:06Speaker 1: else is a bigot or something else is bigoted, and
- 2:10Speaker 1: everything will work out fine. We start with Angie Nixon,
- 2:13Speaker 1: who is the communist running for Senate in Florida for
- 2:16Speaker 1: the Democrats, and she's being interviewed by Al Sharpton, a
- 2:20Speaker 1: guy getting sued by high school students, I believe it
- 2:22Speaker 1: is for a defamation. Good good, good, good, good good.
- 2:35Speaker 1: That's excellent. Al Sharpton's a bad guys want to brawley
- 2:41Speaker 1: lie about that Freddy's fashion mark. Some of us will
- 2:44Speaker 1: not forget. But Angie Nixon appearing on his show why
- 2:48Speaker 1: he has a show we still don't know, says this
- 2:52Speaker 1: about the Republicans in Florida who nominated Byron Donald's for governor,
- 2:59Speaker 1: And the same.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Time, Florida Republicans just made a black man, Congressman Byron
- 3:04Speaker 2: Donalds their nominee for governor with Donald Trump's blessings. Of course,
- 3:09Speaker 2: can you talk about where race factors into these state
- 3:13Speaker 2: wide races right now? State Senator? Yeah, so it factors,
- 3:20Speaker 2: and but I know it's something that we can definitely
- 3:23Speaker 2: overcome on our side. I'm not sure about Byron Donald's,
- 3:26Speaker 2: but there are some folks that are totally in alignment
- 3:29Speaker 2: with him, but they just can't make.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Themselves that are a part of the Republican Party. Unfortunately,
- 3:34Speaker 1: they just can't make themselves vote for him. And so
- 3:36Speaker 1: we're seeing a lot of people saying they're defected to
- 3:39Speaker 1: David Jolly and so, look, we ain't gonna capitalize off
- 3:43Speaker 1: of that. David Jolly is a little to the right.
- 3:46Speaker 1: He's not a little to the right of me. He's right.
- 3:47Speaker 1: He's to the right of me, and I'm to the left.
- 3:50Speaker 1: But that's what we need right now.
- 3:52Speaker 2: We're gonna need all hands on deck to take down
- 3:55Speaker 2: this fascist, authoritarian oligarchy that is now the Trump administration.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It's all so boring. But why is it that people
- 4:05Speaker 1: won't vote for Byron Donalds. They just nominated him, Trump
- 4:11Speaker 1: supported him. So the argument from the black candidate for
- 4:16Speaker 1: Senate is that Republicans who already nominated a black man
- 4:21Speaker 1: for governor now won't vote for him because they're racist.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It's surreal. They don't care what they say. They don't
- 4:32Speaker 1: care if it makes sense. And that's not a hyperbolic statement.
- 4:36Speaker 1: To listen to what you just heard. She doesn't make
- 4:39Speaker 1: any sense, and he passes with al sharpening, going hmmm,
- 4:44Speaker 1: very interesting. Even the question, Hey, Angie Nixon, say something
- 4:50Speaker 1: about race, and nobody will question you because you're a
- 4:52Speaker 1: black woman. If you question a black woman, you must
- 4:54Speaker 1: be a racist, like it's some kind of cover. It's
- 4:58Speaker 1: not not at all. You run for office, you will
- 5:02Speaker 1: be questioned about what it is you say what did
- 5:05Speaker 1: she say? Hear nothing. It's pablum. But if you want
- 5:08Speaker 1: more pablem, check out the people who will tell you
- 5:12Speaker 1: that the power issues in Gary, Indiana and Northwest Indiana
- 5:15Speaker 1: are because Gary is as a black city. This has
- 5:19Speaker 1: been going on everywhere. Gary is seventy seven percent black,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and that's why Nipsco, the energy company, hasn't produced power.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Turn the power back on in Gary. It's a bad situation.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I on.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Friday, Friday afternoon, after the show, I met up with
- 5:40Speaker 1: the Mayor of Carmel, Sue Fincolm, and some of the
- 5:43Speaker 1: engineering and public works team and got a tour of
- 5:48Speaker 1: what exactly happened in the Blue Woods Creek as it
- 5:52Speaker 1: was related to the White River, as it related to
- 5:54Speaker 1: the flooding. It's far it's far more amazing than I
- 5:59Speaker 1: think we realize, and far more incredible how this all happened,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and the amount of water, and how this whole flooding
- 6:06Speaker 1: situation in the Quarry martin Marietta, how this turned out,
- 6:11Speaker 1: the luck of not losing sewage pipes, and the willingness
- 6:15Speaker 1: to just try anything to slow down the water from
- 6:18Speaker 1: backing up to the river. It's an amazing story, and
- 6:21Speaker 1: I've got the video. I'm gonna have it all edited
- 6:23Speaker 1: together and i'll put it up for you. Incredible that
- 6:25Speaker 1: this fluid's creek, which was normally eight feet wide and
- 6:29Speaker 1: like four inches deep, they actually had stones you could
- 6:32Speaker 1: walk across. It is now twenty five feet plus dug out.
- 6:38Speaker 1: It's amazing. Oh, by the way, it sounds weird. Under
- 6:43Speaker 1: that area where the bridge collapsed, it's beautiful. It's I'm
- 6:48Speaker 1: telling you, it's incredible. But there's a real story there. Now,
- 6:53Speaker 1: Carmel really avoided what could have been the worst of it,
- 6:57Speaker 1: but there are plenty of areas along the river where
- 7:00Speaker 1: people are still in their houses. Of course, we know
- 7:01Speaker 1: this is true of Noblesville, and we're still trying to
- 7:04Speaker 1: get updates out of Anderson. We've seen the debris being
- 7:08Speaker 1: tossed in Cambridge City. The storms broke the power poles,
- 7:14Speaker 1: the utility polls in Gary and surrounding areas, and that's
- 7:17Speaker 1: what's having an issue. Yes, there are some who are
- 7:20Speaker 1: part of the power company who were shot at by
- 7:22Speaker 1: residents or others, so stupid is to be believed. But
- 7:28Speaker 1: you got to get the polls back up in order
- 7:30Speaker 1: to get the power back on now. Should we be
- 7:34Speaker 1: full court press, everybody who every hand available up there
- 7:38Speaker 1: getting the power poles in. Yes, to the extent that
- 7:41Speaker 1: I could say that the governor has done that, he
- 7:44Speaker 1: is at least talking about it. I cannot tell you
- 7:46Speaker 1: where the action is. The entire state should be getting
- 7:50Speaker 1: power back on in northwest Indiana. That should be happening
- 7:54Speaker 1: right now. It's because of race. Is just stupid. But
- 8:00Speaker 1: you can't stop stupid people on social media from being stupid.
- 8:04Speaker 1: They'll say what they say because it doesn't hurt me,
- 8:08Speaker 1: it hurts somebody else, And I get a couple of clicks,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and look at me, I'm so righteous. They're not righteous.
- 8:13Speaker 1: They don't give a damn about Hoosiers. They are the
- 8:15Speaker 1: scum of the earth. If you see those things, drop
- 8:20Speaker 1: those people from your life. They are absolutely worthless people.
- 8:27Speaker 1: If you want to actually help people, help Hoosiers in need,
- 8:31Speaker 1: go to WIBC dot com. You'll see help in the heartland.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Give it a click, give a click. Donate what you can.
- 8:38Speaker 1: We appreciate it. We've got some I think we've got
- 8:41Speaker 1: some fundraisers coming up. I've got some things that I
- 8:43Speaker 1: want to work on. I wanted to announce last week.
- 8:45Speaker 1: We'll get to it this week. These people who want
- 8:49Speaker 1: to make race everything, the racers, they're conspiratorial about race
- 8:53Speaker 1: all the time. Right, there was birthers, there was truthers.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Now there's racers. Well, there's always been racers. I'm just
- 8:59Speaker 1: bringing it back as I coined the term many many
- 9:02Speaker 1: moons ago. These people are are are are are the worst.
- 9:08Speaker 1: We have to focus on getting Hoosiers back up and running.
- 9:11Speaker 1: That's our only focus, and that means all hands on
- 9:15Speaker 1: deck in Northwest Indiana and getting the damn power back
- 9:17Speaker 1: on
