- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Journey Out of the Bottle, the podcast that's challenging outdated narratives and opening up modern conversations around alcohol and addiction.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Melissa Lira.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: And whether you're super curious, alcohol-free, or somewhere in the gray area, you're in the right place.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: It is my hope that something you hear will inspire you, comfort you, or remind you that you are not broken anymore.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: A toast to an epic voyage toward your journey out of the bottle.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Cheers.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: The adage of keep coming back, and I know the rest of it is it works, but the notion that you gotta keep you gotta keep at this for the rest of your life, otherwise you will fail and fail in the eyes of this program.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: And so for me, I'm like, yeah, I'm gonna keep coming back to myself.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't want to have to be indoctrinated into a dogmatic situation for the rest of my life in order to be a perceived functional human being.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: And so, you know, this is just the awareness of the absurdity that, you know, when we go to a doctor for a specific ailment, we expect, you know, like to get fixed and then move the fuck on.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And then not have to like, oh, you're gonna have to keep coming back for the rest of your life.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: And so many people get trapped up in that.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: It's just again, it's another like programmed and conditioned fear of like, you can't do this without this.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: You're weak, you're powerless.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: And so I say keep coming back to yourself because you are the only one that has the your own agency, your own power, your own ability to be, to have your own back, to be your own best version of yourself.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: And being in community and being in connection and collaboration with others, like I see the value in that.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: I see so much value in in many things that are available to us for for healing.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: You know, the the having a sponsorship, having someone that you can reliably connect with, but not as a crutch.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Not as a, oh my god, if I don't have somebody to talk to right now, I'm gonna um I'm gonna fail.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: And what is failure?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: You know, failure is is not trying, is not believing in yourself.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: That's the failure of being like, I can't do this by myself.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: I can't do this on my own.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: I can't, I'm not strong enough, I'm weak, I'm broken, I'm defected, and I need someone who's more capable than me to help fix me.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: So keep coming back to yourself.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: We have the ability, the capability, the responsibility, the availability within us.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: And then community and connection, I've developed incubators.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Incubators where we thrive together in our highest potential of the dreams, the aspirations, the the goals, if you will, that we put on the back burner, that we're told we're silly or they're not viable, they're not money-making, they're not success-building, or who do you think you are?
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: You're not qualified enough to be, you know, doing, being, acting, teaching, imparting, you know, what your true passion is, uh, because it was considered daydreaming, or it just didn't fall within the lines of what was accepted.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: But we can bring those forward and we can collaborate together in that way.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Like I've got this skill set and this passion, and you have this passion and that skill set, and and and as a as a group, as a team, as a collective, we can bring those together and amplify and magnify.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: And that's what an incubator is to me, is this community of badass uh highest reaching their potential women who are wired, they've they've rewired their synapses.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: The the the fog has cleared the awakening from the twilight slumber and the fever dream that they've been in is like boom, here we go.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: And that's how we keep coming back to ourselves is like in enlightening and enlivening our own inner fire passion and drive.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Now, you don't have to go and just like completely disrupt and blow up your life and be like, oh, like you, like, and sometimes we feel like that.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: You know, that's what happens in like these massive breakthrough moments in our life where we see the other side, the veil is gone, and you're like, whoa, holy shit, and then we want to go gung-ho and just be like, fuck it, here I go.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: And that's kind of what I did.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: I a little bit, um, I rebelliously stepped into that and kind of I call it chicken shitting and pussyfooting, but I was testing the water so that I knew what that would feel like, so that I could guide people through that process.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: And you can reach your highest potential and and realize your your dreams.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: You can break free from the prescribed life without having to blow up your life completely.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: And I think, you know, like people have done ayahuasca and come back from those and been like, I'm quitting my job, I'm leaving my partner, I'm, you know, renunciating, you know, like and and hey, that happens.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: It does happen.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And when you quit drinking, you do go through a phase of like, oh my god, the world is like available to me.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: And then how do we harness that power?
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: How do we harness that uh awakened realization into living this life, you know, being on this planet and being in the societal and cultural norms that we may or may not want to stay in.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: You know, and there's also this fear, I think, of like, oh, I can't hang out with my old friends.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I can't, I'm gonna lose my friends, I'm gonna lose my community if I'm not drinking or if I'm not, you know, if I'm not the same person.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: And that's just another like a fear that's been you know tapped into us.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: Like you're not gonna become some lonely recluse because you don't drink anymore.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Like that's absurd.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: It's absurd.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: So get that notion out of your head right now.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: I had someone say the other day, like, oh, you know, I was I was afraid that I would be boring and that you know I'd have nothing to do.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And she's like, and now I can't find enough hours in the day to to fill with all of the beautiful things that I want to experience.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh my god, you have to come on the podcast and say that.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying it for her in a um uh dubbed kind of way.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: Um, but it is possible, it is possible to be living a it's not only possible, it's inevitable.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: To be living a full, complete, whole, beautiful, blissful, sexy, wildly outlandish life, whatever you want is is inevitable.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: It's not only possible, it is inevitable.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: And so I just say keep coming back to yourself.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Do not outsource your power and your agency to anyone or anything, no institutional program out there that says that you need them in order to be who you want to be.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: It's bullshit.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Because then you're a slave to that master.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: My hope is that people come find this program for the hope, the inspiration, the empowerment, the sovereignty, the liberation, the reclamation into their own lives, and then ripple that out and be gone.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Like I coach them, or they come into community for a minute of their life, a blip on the radar, and then they're they're they move on and do their own thing, or or they continue in the incubator and and we grow beautiful, magnificent, um, wonderful things together.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: But this is not like something where like that's the other thing that's taken me for a long time to wrap my head around because I was indoctrinated into this coaching program that, like, you gotta get clients, you've got to like be doing newsletters and funnels and capture all the people and always be selling.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: And I was like, mm-mm, I'm not doing that.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I did that for other people for years and years and years and years, and like the whole reason that I'm leaving that world behind is because I don't want to do it that way anymore.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: I refuse to do it that way anymore.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I just want to help people, I don't need a pyramid scheme to teach other coaches how to coach people so that I can constantly have this, you know, money machine going on.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Like, sure, do I need to thrive and um and support myself?
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: But this is a regenerative, sustainable program that I've built for myself and for others.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: And I believe that the ripple effect is the the the is the the ultimate goal of this program to raise the consciousness of this planet, and that happens one by one by one by many by many by millions, you know, like it's every single woman human that becomes full of themselves, living their fullest, best, highest potential in love and and light for themselves in their intuitive glory, is that ripples out.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: It like they don't even have to like you know, this podcast is here to just, you know, okay, whoever it's resonating with in the moment, but I'm not shoving my ideas and notions down people's throat.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Either it resonates with you or it does not, and that's okay.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't need everyone to be like, I don't, your your ideas are crazy, and it goes, you know, like who do you think you are?
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: Like, hey, listen, if it doesn't resonate with you, turn the dial.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing is um, you know, we let's see, where was I before turned the dial.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: I was um just saying that you know every person that ripples their authenticity, their intuitive knowing, you know, it's it's not even a like a process of like having to do that.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: It's just the being of us changes and it evolves.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: And when that when that happens, people notice.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Your family notices, your lovers, your partners, your community, your friends, your neighbors.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: Like it, and you don't have to do anything.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: It's just, and that ripple effect is what changes.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: You know, and and and on the converse, like we all know this is true, right?
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Like, you don't really have to do anything when you're in a grouchy, pissy, shitty mood, and you walk into a room and that energy radiates, people feel it.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Your pets feel it, your kids feel it, your partner feels it, your coworkers feel it.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: So our energy is contagious, and you don't have to do anything to like, you know, push that on, although sometimes we feel like we have to, but it's like you don't really have to.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: People can feel it, um, whether they're awake or not.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: It's it's it and it depends on how powerful it is, right?
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: We think we can hide it sometimes, and sometimes we're pretty good at that, right?
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: We can put on a mask and hide that.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: But I'm just um imparting the ripple effect of awakening and being in our own authentic, intuitive nature, ripples out, and that is what this program is about.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: All right, welcome to Journey Out of the Bottle.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: If you have liked what you hear here, like if it fires you up, it gets you excited, it's like, oh, I feel the ripple effect, and now I'm I'm ready.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I'm ready to take some action.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: I'm ready to come back to myself.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: I'm ready to see how I can liberate and reclaim my life and live my highest potential, then reach out.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I've got a multitude of ways that we can work together.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: And I'm going live every morning.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: I just when I'm driving right now, I'm driving a lot, and this is when the downloads come.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: So I have to I have to speak when it when it comes.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Um, but I want you to see my face because I'm a real person.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: There's so much, you know, AI.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, it's fakery.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: It's not real human, and I'm a human connection.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: So, you know, there's a lot of good stuff out there that AI's created, you know, like I've listened to a lot of it for sure.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: But I want people to know that I'm a real human being.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: I have lived experience.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: I have gone through everything that I speak about, I know.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: I it I say it takes one to know one.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: And I have gone through um a wide, wide, vast spectrum of experiences um before drinking, after drinking, and then in building this program, and then individuating and going through a night sea journey, dark night of the soul, all the things, you know, I've done it all.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: And and there's still more to come.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: There's still a lot more to come.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: But so I'm not saying I'm the all-knowing and that I've experienced everything.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying um what I speak about, I know about.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: And um, and I'm also one to say, like, if I don't know what I'm like, I'm like, I have a theory, right?
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: These are all like this is my theory, my hypotheses.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: We're all scientists, and I've just been in the lab, you know, cultivating these experimentations for quite some time.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Okay, reach out.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: I'm here for you.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: You're not broken, you're not defected, you are a human, and you are capable.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: All right, cheers.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Thank you for listening to the Journey Out of the Bottle podcast.
