- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hello, it's me Destiny, Dasty the Great, and today is Sunday, October 4th, and the year is 2026.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the weather is.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: I'm in Los Angeles, downtown.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: I'm with my friends and we're having a good time.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: So so far we've gone to Sizzlers.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I don't think I've ever been to Sizzlers.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Maybe one time.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: And I think that one time I might have just been dropping someone off.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Have I been to Sizzlers?
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: You know, I like burritos.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: You know, so then we went to 7-Eleven.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: And then we just got back from Taco Bill.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: So it feels so good.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And you know, one of my friends, she got me another gift.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: You know, it's nice to get gifts, especially when it's something that you like.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: So Thursday, I was also suspended for being black.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I didn't turn my schoolwork in.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: I already knew when I was suspended for Thursday that I wasn't returning to school because my grade was gonna drop.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: You know, remember she's already been dropping my grade.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: She had already been dropping my grade.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: My hours are fine.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: So, you know, I could go to school, a different school, or I can just go to a barbershop and get my 260 hours that I need.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you something, it is such a relief not to have to go to school.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: You know, I used to love college, but at barber school in the barber program, I was being discriminated against, you know, and it's like you want to pass, but you already knew that if you went to another college, you wouldn't experience all that.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: You know, I gotta carry all my heavy bags, you know.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: If you forget something, you have to be sent home.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm gonna be sent home just for being black, and it's just not a healthy environment.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: So think about all my work that I'm gonna get done, think about all the volunteer stuff, thinking about thinking about how I'm gonna be able to be in South Central A, how I'm going to be able to focus on working with my artists and other artists.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Think about all the fun I'm gonna have.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna be in Los Angeles.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I gotta do my schoolwork.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I gotta rush to school.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I gotta buy this.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: You know, they have us buying all this stuff.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: That stuff's not in my budget, and you know what?
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I need to take some of that stuff back to the store, so just think about how much money have I lost.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: It's been almost a year.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna make so much more money, my mental health is increasing.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I am having such a ball, you know, I am so relieved, and like my auntie said, they do not deserve me.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: The college, Riverside City College does not deserve me, but you know what?
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: I was put in a place to help out the students, and discrimination is a huge lawsuit.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: I don't deserve any of that, so somebody's playing music over here.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm burning up.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Oh, my friends calling me, they're ready to come downstairs again.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, so thank you guys for listening.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: I'll try to, you know, now I can make my videos again, like I could actually have time to post and what's it called?
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Do my podcasts, like you know, my recordings, but my friends calling me.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I hope you guys are having a great day.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: We're about to go to Melrose in Hollywood.
