- 1:42Speaker 2: pore in my body. Friday. I told everyone Saturday, there's
- 1:48Speaker 2: so what's going on? I was thinking about the taste thing, actually,
- 1:50Speaker 2: because we got some great food this afternoon. Good Lord
- 1:52Speaker 2: of Mercy was so good. How about that? I love
- 1:55Speaker 2: that you love this time of year. I do love
- 1:57Speaker 2: this time of you. You know, it's odd. August used
- 2:00Speaker 2: to be like a relatively slow month for us. I mean,
- 2:03Speaker 2: all the the later fall months in the spring would
- 2:05Speaker 2: be really big for us. But man, August it's turned
- 2:07Speaker 2: out to be a really busy month, which I really
- 2:09Speaker 2: appreciate Youah. Tastes Central Florida, presented by Edward Jones, returns
- 2:12Speaker 2: to the Orlando World Marryout this Friday, August twenty eighth
- 2:15Speaker 2: premiere culinary event one hundred Central Florida's top chefs and restaurants. Look, man,

- 2:29Speaker 2: won best charitable organization I believe in Orlando, according to

- 2:34Speaker 2: homeless here in Central Florida, and incredible night supporting local families.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Get your ticket and learn how to your company can
- 2:39Speaker 2: get involved at tastecfl dot org. That's tastecfl dot Org.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'll be there with my friend Janna from x On
- 2:46Speaker 2: one to six point seven and Magic one oh seven seven,
- 2:50Speaker 2: and it's just gonna be a good ass time. Can
- 2:51Speaker 2: I wait? And today's food? What do you have today? Yeah?
- 2:55Speaker 2: I had the Frontero cosina, Yeah, which was the marinated
- 2:59Speaker 2: chain the corn tortillas with their absolutely perfectly cooked rice. Man,
- 3:05Speaker 2: people do not get enough credit for cooking rice properly,
- 3:08Speaker 2: and these guys cook it exactly the way it's supposed
- 3:11Speaker 2: to be. I thought the same thing.
- 3:12Speaker 4: And I heard Russ after eating Russ on the Monsters today,
- 3:16Speaker 4: said hey, can we talk about rice?
- 3:19Speaker 2: And it was about that same rice. Yeah, He's one
- 3:22Speaker 2: hundred percent right, like there's a way you cook rice,
- 3:25Speaker 2: and they cooked it perfectly. The chicken marinate was absolutely delicious.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And whatever that red salsa sauce they have is, well,
- 3:33Speaker 2: I didn't try. That is a next level machine man.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Really good stuff. And that's just a I mean really
- 3:38Speaker 2: no pun intended, just a taste of what you can
- 3:41Speaker 2: experience next Friday night. Really good time. They have seven
- 3:44Speaker 2: restaurants actually created by Chef Bayless, all throughout Central Florist,
- 3:48Speaker 2: So go check them out. Rick Bayless is one of
- 3:49Speaker 2: the best chefs in the nation Top Chef Masters in
- 3:52Speaker 2: two thousand and nine. I am going to ask you,
- 3:57Speaker 2: is there any left? There is some left, and it's
- 4:00Speaker 2: over in the fridge and the other side of the building.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Oh buddy, there's a lot. Yeah, yeah, I'm so hungry.
- 4:06Speaker 2: There's an entire pan of that of the of that
- 4:09Speaker 2: rice and it has little fried plantains on top, and
- 4:12Speaker 2: you get that marinated chicken. Just make you a simple
- 4:15Speaker 2: little taco. Make it simple, little top. It's so good.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I do that. Sorry Taste CFL dot Org. How you
- 4:23Speaker 2: guys doing everything good? Yeah? Yeah, I heard you over
- 4:26Speaker 2: there slinging the business, dude, big show coming up. You
- 4:29Speaker 2: got a busy month as well, right, busy month. I
- 4:31Speaker 2: have a comedy show tonight at sat Comedy Lab. I
- 4:34Speaker 2: have the sketch show next weekend. I just won Orlando
- 4:38Speaker 2: Weekly's Comedian of the Year. I'm happy. I only brought
- 4:45Speaker 2: it up because Daddy's on a roll. And when I
- 4:47Speaker 2: feel good, I realized I gotta soak it in because
- 4:51Speaker 2: you still only feel good. And now that's not the
- 4:54Speaker 2: case anymore. So when good comes by, I'm like, all right,
- 4:57Speaker 2: let's kick back a little bit ask you guys something
- 5:00Speaker 2: and real quick. You know, Jack, I kind of know
- 5:01Speaker 2: the answer too, because I've known Jack for so long
- 5:03Speaker 2: and I've only known Jack to have this job. I
- 5:05Speaker 2: know he's worked other places before. And I know you've
- 5:07Speaker 2: had a number of jobs. I know that your prominent job,
- 5:09Speaker 2: on top of what we do here was had another
- 5:12Speaker 2: massive company.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Right.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Yeah. I went to dinner with our boss and she's
- 5:17Speaker 2: only been with us for how long? Jack? Two years?
- 5:19Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Two and a half? Yeah, yeah. And of course when
- 5:22Speaker 2: you hit the ground running in a company like this,
- 5:23Speaker 2: especially in the cluster here in central Florida, this is
- 5:26Speaker 2: one of the more respected clusters and the iHeartRadio family.
- 5:30Speaker 2: We do some crazy stuff in a market that isn't
- 5:32Speaker 2: as big as some of the big markets like La
- 5:34Speaker 2: New York, you know, Dallas, you know Atlanta, but we
- 5:36Speaker 2: yet we hold our own against those gigantic markets. And
- 5:39Speaker 2: it was my first time really kind of sitting down
- 5:42Speaker 2: and talking to her for a few hours. And man,
- 5:45Speaker 2: an amazing woman for first things first, But how often
- 5:48Speaker 2: have you ever done that? I wonder how many people
- 5:50Speaker 2: listening to us right now actually do like I have
- 5:52Speaker 2: personal time to talk to their boss or their team
- 5:55Speaker 2: leaders or whatever to find out like what they're about
- 5:57Speaker 2: as people and stuff. I think that's really kind of important.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I actually sent her an email this morning saying, look, man,
- 6:02Speaker 2: it was really nice getting to know you and your
- 6:04Speaker 2: story more, and I think it actually kind of makes
- 6:07Speaker 2: you a better employee and more tuned into what your
- 6:09Speaker 2: company does. I just I wondered how prevalent that is
- 6:12Speaker 2: out there in the world if that happens. I So
- 6:16Speaker 2: I worked at Universal, right, so I'll still swing by
- 6:20Speaker 2: every now and then. But I remember when I was
- 6:22Speaker 2: an animated character. I was like twenty years old. Yeah,
- 6:25Speaker 2: and I got a guest positive for like making some
- 6:28Speaker 2: kid laugh or just being good guest service. Right. They
- 6:32Speaker 2: when you get a guest positive, you get thrown in
- 6:34Speaker 2: at least this was like back in the day, you
- 6:37Speaker 2: got thrown into a lottery of having lunch with like
- 6:40Speaker 2: the top seats, the oh that's awesome, And then he
- 6:43Speaker 2: would pay for the lunch, and then everyone and they
- 6:45Speaker 2: would be like this cool, like fifteen to twenty person lunch,
- 6:50Speaker 2: all with the big dog himself. And I embarrassed myself
- 6:54Speaker 2: a little bit. How would you do to embarrass yourself? Well,
- 6:57Speaker 2: I can't say that I didn't last night. I don't know.
- 6:59Speaker 2: She's she's so cool. What I've never known had I
- 7:01Speaker 2: done it? And what was one cool thing about this
- 7:03Speaker 2: lunch is that it was a guest positive if I
- 7:05Speaker 2: remember correctly, from every department, Oh I see, so whether
- 7:09Speaker 2: it be from HR from there, yeah, and then food
- 7:12Speaker 2: and BEV. And for my case, I was I think
- 7:14Speaker 2: I was just an animated character escort. So I took
- 7:17Speaker 2: out the characters and I remember walking in and the
- 7:20Speaker 2: room was stunning, it was awesome. The food was delicious.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It's succulent. Dare I say? All right? And then I
- 7:26Speaker 2: walked up to the library, I said, which one of
- 7:29Speaker 2: these books? When you pulled down the door opens up.
- 7:32Speaker 2: It's just like a joke, just eating it. Oh man,
- 7:38Speaker 2: like they all just they collectively all the all these food. Yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 2: I stared. I went for the swing, and then I
- 7:46Speaker 2: got a miss. Yeah, yeah, I went for it. If
- 7:49Speaker 2: I pulled the statue down, like who dies? Did you
- 7:52Speaker 2: get to ask me did you feel like you learned
- 7:54Speaker 2: anything about that person? Or was it just kind of
- 7:56Speaker 2: a superficial lunch? Because that was the deal. I learned
- 8:01Speaker 2: that it was awesome that he was doing this Yeah, yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 2: that's cool. I really I was too young to learn.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yeah right, that might be the most profound thing I've
- 8:11Speaker 2: ever said into a microphone. I was too young right
- 8:15Speaker 2: after pain, don't hurt. I think maybe the state of
- 8:17Speaker 2: your life at that time made it where you really
- 8:19Speaker 2: didn't give a damn mate. I just moved up to Orlando.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I was twenty years old, and in hindsight I would
- 8:26Speaker 2: have treated that interaction with a lot more like you'll
- 8:29Speaker 2: remember this. Yeah, yeah, Jack, you ever did anything like
- 8:31Speaker 2: that with our bosses here? Well? Yeah, I know you
- 8:33Speaker 2: have here, all these guys here, but outside of your
- 8:36Speaker 2: life here, did you ever do that like when you
- 8:37Speaker 2: were with CJ's or with any other company? Yeah?
- 8:40Speaker 4: But yeah, you do drugs with the boss at smaller
- 8:43Speaker 4: places or bus Yes, yes, that's exactly what the cooler da. Yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 4: you help him secure clean urine. Yeah, it's things you know,
- 8:52Speaker 4: you go above and.
- 8:53Speaker 2: So you had a great relationship with that person, no doubt.
- 8:56Speaker 2: It's super funny. Uh, you can hit me up on
- 8:58Speaker 2: text if you want to do that. You can also
- 9:00Speaker 2: and talkbacks. I'd love to know if anybe out there
- 9:01Speaker 2: actually interacts with their boss on a daily basis. I
- 9:04Speaker 2: tend to believe that most people do not really have
- 9:07Speaker 2: much personal time with the leadership in their company, or
- 9:10Speaker 2: if you are the leadership, do you take time to
- 9:12Speaker 2: do that well and looking about it, just thinking about
- 9:15Speaker 2: talking about it. That's the only time I've ever had
- 9:18Speaker 2: lunch with any boss. No, yeah, well you and I have.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not your boss. N see what I'm
- 9:22Speaker 2: saying about it, Like, because there's always someone bigger. Yeah,
- 9:25Speaker 2: there's always someone above fifty people's right, Yeah, there's But
- 9:29Speaker 2: that's the first, last, and probably only time I will
- 9:33Speaker 2: ever have lunch with a CEO of a major corporation. Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 2: It's kind of wild, right, it was. It was really cool.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I will never forget this. He had perfect hair, he
- 9:42Speaker 2: really And there's something about wealthy people hair where I'm like, damn, dude,
- 9:46Speaker 2: it just shows right there. I gotta ask you. Did
- 9:48Speaker 2: he eat in front of you? They actually eat? We
- 9:51Speaker 2: ate because a lot of people like that. They will
- 9:53Speaker 2: not eat in front of you because I don't want
- 9:54Speaker 2: like in either habits coming out or anything like that.
- 9:56Speaker 2: They'll have a plate in front of them and maybe
- 9:58Speaker 2: they'll pick on it a little bit. As a rule,
- 10:00Speaker 2: they will not dig in and eat like they're at home.
- 10:03Speaker 2: So the CEO choose with an open man. Yeah he
- 10:06Speaker 2: ate and I remember, man, all these memories. It was
- 10:09Speaker 2: a chicken marsala, I remember correctly, give me. But my
- 10:13Speaker 2: favorite memory of having lunch with the CEO was having
- 10:18Speaker 2: the handlers like the people who are like, don't say that, right,
- 10:21Speaker 2: yeah yeah, And he kept going against his like his
- 10:26Speaker 2: advice from his advisors because he kept like dropping like
- 10:30Speaker 2: little fun hints of things that are coming along the way.
- 10:33Speaker 2: That's cool, man, Yeah, yeah, I just again, it was
- 10:36Speaker 2: just a really interesting time. And after I left the
- 10:38Speaker 2: thing list, I was like, I wonder how many people
- 10:40Speaker 2: had the opportunity to do that, Like I actually sit
- 10:42Speaker 2: down with the leadership of their company and have a
- 10:44Speaker 2: conversation and got to find out what they're about, where
- 10:46Speaker 2: they came from, their story, the whole nine yards, and
- 10:49Speaker 2: it was fascinating. So and the funny thing is, you know,
- 10:51Speaker 2: we used to do this with our sales reps all
- 10:53Speaker 2: the time. We knew them quite well. Things are a
- 10:55Speaker 2: little different now because the way the structure is. But yeah,
- 10:58Speaker 2: I enjoyed that. I mean, I'm telling you, every single
- 11:01Speaker 2: hair same length, you're fascinated by this single long hair
- 11:06Speaker 2: where fingernails good. Usually they have very good hands, good
- 11:09Speaker 2: skin cut like they ever a good skincare. They got
- 11:12Speaker 2: that good good moisture, moisture. It was a really positive interaction.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I wish I could say it was lame, but it
- 11:19Speaker 2: was actually pretty cool. I would use a laser mask. Yeah,
- 11:22Speaker 2: they probably did all that. The red light, many the
- 11:24Speaker 2: red light. I was born in good facial condition, all right.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Four O seven nine one six one four one text
- 11:29Speaker 2: us at seven seven zero three one. A lot of
- 11:32Speaker 2: retro stuff coming back, but there's one retro thing making
- 11:34Speaker 2: a little news. We'll talk about that a little bit
- 11:36Speaker 2: later as well. The most Dangerous States for drivers is
- 11:39Speaker 2: out there, party colleges and all kinds of fun stuff. Jack,
- 11:42Speaker 2: You're about to have a very very very bad run
- 11:44Speaker 2: of time. Oh yeah, do you know that?
- 11:47Speaker 7: No?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. They made a big announcement today for Seminole County.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Oh boy, and it happens to affect your area really yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 2: it's gonna be a bit of a nightmare for you.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Oh great, ID say with it. But at the end
- 12:00Speaker 2: it's gonna be great. Oh I can't wait. But right
- 12:02Speaker 2: now it's gonna be a bit of a pinon ass.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I'll tell you what it is a little bit later.
- 12:05Speaker 2: What do you get for news?
- 12:06Speaker 4: Well, Sunrall Riders are back on the bus today, Floridian
- 12:10Speaker 4: say charge it a lot. And hey, SpongeBob, we got
- 12:14Speaker 4: a jellyfish museum, those stories.
- 12:19Speaker 2: And more on the way. You got it? All right,
- 12:20Speaker 2: We'll take a little break, come back and get the
- 12:21Speaker 2: news from the boys and continue on with the Jim
- 12:23Speaker 2: Colbert Show. Welcome back to the Jim Colber Show or
- 12:29Speaker 2: Radio one four point one. I am Jim. Jack and
- 12:33Speaker 2: Ross are here as well. But forget to get your
- 12:35Speaker 2: tickets for fourteen sketches coming up next Saturday night. Right
- 12:38Speaker 2: there in the Mount Dora. Uh the Music Theater there, Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 2: the music Hall. There you go. You can get your
- 12:46Speaker 2: tickets at Rosscomedy dot com or Real Radio dot FM
- 12:49Speaker 2: Slash Comedy Comedy. There you go. All right, welcome back.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I'm Jim, Jack and Ross al right over there. They
- 12:55Speaker 2: have your news. Let's get it. It's time for JC
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yes news.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Wow, this guy got to put his name on everything.
- 13:03Speaker 2: It's in my contracted here's the news on the Jim
- 13:07Speaker 2: Colber Show. Today's news is brought to you by that
- 13:11Speaker 2: mortgage guy down. If you don't know about that mortgage guy,
- 13:14Speaker 2: don change that because that mortgage guy Don is worth
- 13:18Speaker 2: a no, and he's worth a follow. His internet content
- 13:21Speaker 2: is sharp, he's good. That mortgage guy Don dot com
- 13:24Speaker 2: super cool dud dude man dot com. He was in
- 13:27Speaker 2: here earlier. You have to see him a little bit earlier. Jim, Yes,
- 13:30Speaker 2: I felt for you. How did you do that one?
- 13:32Speaker 2: Because it's super hot out and the sun is closer
- 13:34Speaker 2: to Florida than other people, and that's straight on that dome.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Because Florida heat index could hit one oweight. Yeah, one oweight.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I cut my grass this morning on my little tractor
- 13:45Speaker 2: and uh at a safe time like three am. I
- 13:49Speaker 2: did it this morning, I think around ten thirty or so,
- 13:51Speaker 2: and even with overcast, it was burning me up pretty good.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Just realize your one cool suit away from being mister freeze.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Central Florida is under that deserves Someone laughed out there
- 14:02Speaker 2: and I for Central Florida is under another heat advisory.
- 14:06Speaker 2: If you don't know what that is, that means stay inside.
- 14:08Speaker 2: The heat advisory is very high, with the heat index
- 14:12Speaker 2: values potentially reaching one hundred and eight degrees or higher.
- 14:16Speaker 2: The forecast also calls for roughly seventy percent chance of
- 14:20Speaker 2: afternoon and evening thunderstorms. So if you've ever wanted to
- 14:24Speaker 2: pay fifteen hundred dollars for three to two and shreks underwear,
- 14:28Speaker 2: it's happening because this is it's that's the worst type
- 14:33Speaker 2: of storm. The type of heat is after that rainstorm
- 14:36Speaker 2: and then you get hit with the one oh five
- 14:37Speaker 2: to one oh way. Oh yeah, I would rather have
- 14:39Speaker 2: it rate like it just rained really hard out of
- 14:41Speaker 2: my house.
- 14:42Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:42Speaker 2: The worst is when it just sprinkles, Yes, and when
- 14:44Speaker 2: it's hot, because then that's Steve. You could just see
- 14:47Speaker 2: the death coming up from the parking lots. You're just
- 14:49Speaker 2: walking around a sentient far the worst.
- 14:52Speaker 4: That's because the Earth is looking up at those little
- 14:54Speaker 4: drops of water saying, that's all you got.
- 14:57Speaker 2: It goes without saying, but it is worth starting off
- 15:00Speaker 2: today's news by letting everyone know. If you are working outside,
- 15:04Speaker 2: exercising yard work, just standing in a line in a
- 15:07Speaker 2: theme park, questioning all of your life choices, wondering if
- 15:11Speaker 2: SPF ten thousand even exists, just be safe out there.
- 15:15Speaker 2: You're in a heat advisory, just.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Wondering if the evaporating in a line is worth the
- 15:20Speaker 4: Florida rate to get into the park, and if your
- 15:24Speaker 4: plan to escape the heat which to ride the SunRail Today,
- 15:27Speaker 4: hold on because SunRail is down and commuters are getting
- 15:31Speaker 4: buses instead. Now they've temporarily suspended service between winter Park
- 15:37Speaker 4: and Ponciana because of a signal outage. Construction crews cut
- 15:42Speaker 4: fiber lines unrelated to SunRail. Okay, but Sunral uses those
- 15:46Speaker 4: lines for signaling, so there wasn't construction for SunRail. Who
- 15:50Speaker 4: is construction for something else? But they cut the lines
- 15:53Speaker 4: at Sunral use And of course that's a nightmare. Or
- 15:55Speaker 4: it's not like the old days when you just twist
- 15:56Speaker 4: the wire back together and cover it with some electrical tape.
- 15:59Speaker 4: I mean, it is a thing to do that. I
- 16:01Speaker 4: watched them do it years ago to a fiber that
- 16:03Speaker 4: was cut in my front yard.
- 16:05Speaker 2: They or other for hours. It was just a residential one.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Yeah, So bus service is being provided for passengers affected
- 16:11Speaker 4: by the outage. For commuters to depend on CENTRALI get
- 16:14Speaker 4: to work, school or downtown, this could turn into a
- 16:17Speaker 4: predictable trip into a much longer one. Also, it's also
- 16:22Speaker 4: a reminder that when one piece of transportation. Transportation system
- 16:26Speaker 4: goes down, thousands of people can suddenly be forced to improvise.
- 16:30Speaker 2: It's crazy. And speaking of improvise, you know who's been
- 16:34Speaker 2: improvising recently? Who's that? Not just Wayne Brady? It's Spirit Airlines. Okay,
- 16:39Speaker 2: because their sale, well, it just got delayed over privacy concerns. Jim,
- 16:44Speaker 2: did you know that Google is trying to buy Spirit Airlines?
- 16:47Speaker 4: I did not know that, not the whole airlines, their data.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Why is it all really?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Federal bankruptcy judge has delayed Google's ten million dollars purchase
- 16:58Speaker 2: of Spirit air Lines data after the Flight Attendance Union
- 17:04Speaker 2: raised privacy concerns. That is the most twenty twenty six
- 17:08Speaker 2: story I have come across yet so far. You keep
- 17:12Speaker 2: the planes I want with the names shut down in
- 17:17Speaker 2: May is selling off its assets, including billions of old
- 17:20Speaker 2: transaction records that includes me emails and internal Microsoft team messages.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Google says it's buying only d identified data. Hey, no, no, look,
- 17:31Speaker 2: it's de identified it. I don't know what that means.
- 17:33Speaker 2: That means they like they've identified it and then cleared
- 17:35Speaker 2: it or something like that, like a word that they'd
- 17:37Speaker 2: be making Nuns and that a third party will scrub
- 17:41Speaker 2: it for personal information before Google receives it. You know,
- 17:44Speaker 2: bring a whole nother entity into this whole crock pot
- 17:47Speaker 2: of data stews scrip it from personal and that's what
- 17:50Speaker 2: they want, right They're buying it for the personal information,
- 17:52Speaker 2: are they? Are they not if they're buying it for
- 17:53Speaker 2: your buying a history and stuff like that.
- 17:56Speaker 4: They say they're not buying it. They don't want the
- 17:59Speaker 4: idea identifying information is what they say, however, and they
- 18:04Speaker 4: have a third party scrub that. But they're you know,
- 18:07Speaker 4: the union is saying, hey, the payroll data in they're
- 18:10Speaker 4: still has sensitive information.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I you know.
- 18:13Speaker 4: So it's just how bizarre is that? I I think,
- 18:16Speaker 4: I mean they ship a sail down privacy.
- 18:19Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Ye, I don't think there it exists anymore. Is there
- 18:22Speaker 2: an off the grid? I don't know if there is
- 18:23Speaker 2: off the grid anymore. All I know is it's a
- 18:25Speaker 2: whole other reason to thank your local flight attendant because
- 18:28Speaker 2: it's the flight Attendants Union saying removing names doesn't necessarily
- 18:33Speaker 2: protect confidential information like payroll records and all of that.
- 18:36Speaker 2: It just wants the flight attune. The flight attendant union
- 18:41Speaker 2: just want stronger guarantees that employees information won't end up
- 18:45Speaker 2: in Google's hands. You know where it already is, right.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Well, Jimmy, my town of Winter Springs there, they're playing
- 18:52Speaker 4: a fundraiser. They're looking at They need they about six
- 18:56Speaker 4: hundred thousand.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Dollars six hundred k. What are they doing ms Oh
- 19:01Speaker 2: for the police department. Yeah, we already have them.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Yeah, but they need to extend them for the contract
- 19:07Speaker 4: and everything.
- 19:08Speaker 2: So you mean for the service that the uses them,
- 19:11Speaker 2: that the gathers information and stores it right for evidence,
- 19:15Speaker 2: all of it six hundred and five thousand dollars over
- 19:17Speaker 2: the next five years to keep the body camera program running.
- 19:21Speaker 2: City commissioners will be voting on Monday where they're renewing
- 19:25Speaker 2: the contract with Axon covering fifty cameras. So it's it's
- 19:29Speaker 2: only fifty, right, It's it's really a small town. It's
- 19:32Speaker 2: really small.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Fifty cameras, software storage and evidence management through twenty thirty two.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Police say the cameras have become an essential part of
- 19:41Speaker 4: Delhi operations, providing documentation, evidence, and accountability. They also say
- 19:46Speaker 4: keeping the current system means officers won't need additional training
- 19:50Speaker 4: if they switch to a different system.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:52Speaker 2: What they need to do is take all the money
- 19:53Speaker 2: they're putting in flock cameras and putting it on the
- 19:56Speaker 2: cop cameras. Yeah yeah, I think people would be fine
- 19:58Speaker 2: with that because the flock thing. I got a store
- 20:00Speaker 2: to day about the flock thing. It's horrifying. I think
- 20:01Speaker 2: we have we have a couple there in winter springs cameras. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 2: I looked. There's a scary story out of Colorado with
- 20:08Speaker 2: flock cameras. Right now, that's pretty amazing. Go ahead, Ross,

- 29:18Speaker 2: unfortunately it was a two to one loss for The.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Lions it was a. Bummer, however for local soccer. Fans
- 29:25Speaker 2: the question now becomes Whether orlando can turn the disappointment
- 29:28Speaker 2: into momentum into this next. Match AND i, believe, man
- 29:32Speaker 2: if you give you two options of rooting for and
- 29:35Speaker 2: believing in or rooting against than not Believing i'm gonna
- 29:39Speaker 2: take the first AND i promise you it's a way
- 29:41Speaker 2: better sports experience when you go into it, THINKING i

- 29:59Speaker 4: don't think you can get it in the student section and. Stuff, yeah,
- 30:02Speaker 4: yeah don't unless they change. That BUT i know they
- 30:05Speaker 4: had a special section where you can get. It you
- 30:07Speaker 4: can't have, alcohol but they can pay the quarterback three
- 30:09Speaker 4: million a. Year, yeah, well everything's. FINE i think when
- 30:12Speaker 4: they Realized forwards has nailed it how much they were
- 30:15Speaker 4: selling the, alcohol they kept expanding that sect that quote special.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Section, yeah, well what percentage of people who go to

- 30:54Speaker 4: can as long As visa says we. Can high balances
- 30:57Speaker 4: matter because interest charges can turn every day per into
- 31:01Speaker 4: long term expenses. Something no matter how many times you
- 31:05Speaker 4: tell your, daughters they still have to learn that one for.

- 48:05Speaker 2: he called the guy and, says can you build me let's,
- 48:07Speaker 2: say fifteen hundred of these in the next thirty days or.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Something BUT i mean he made that deal just like
- 48:12Speaker 2: that because the guy just showed. Him, look this, works
- 48:15Speaker 2: And Sam walt's, like, well you're, right it. Does let's do.
- 48:17Speaker 4: It and it's true because the face of a, movie
- 48:20Speaker 4: whether it was A va test tape or, whatever.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Gets so much more.
- 48:23Speaker 4: Attention, yeah that's the movie post, right as opposed to
- 48:26Speaker 4: the binding of a.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Buff, yeah the spine is if they were. Looking that's
- 48:29Speaker 2: why people don't read or go to. Libraries all, right welcome.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Back I'm, Jim jack And ross are here as. Well
- 48:33Speaker 2: chloe g From The Orlando weeklue hangs up with us On,
- 48:36Speaker 2: thursday sticks. Around did that hurt your, Heart. Chloe WHEN i,
- 48:38Speaker 2: said no one read, yeah actually it. Does she, says
- 48:44Speaker 2: she's a championship, Speller, jack that's what She's.
- 48:47Speaker 14: Let's test, no because let's not put it to the
- 48:51Speaker 14: tousk Because i'll be out real.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Fast she said she likes to, spell but she is
- 48:56Speaker 2: so terrified she Wouldn't and she, said who does the? Spelling?
- 48:58Speaker 2: Me Like will's post.
- 48:59Speaker 14: Yae it's like a it's like an out like they
- 49:01Speaker 14: don't do, it but they host it, there this other
- 49:03Speaker 14: kind of organization hosts. It but, YEAH i don't think
- 49:06Speaker 14: i'd be amusing at.
- 49:07Speaker 2: It, unfortunately are you either do the thing in The
- 49:10Speaker 2: Fashion Square? Mall are you gonna go to?
- 49:11Speaker 14: THAT i am thinking about. It it sounds very intriguing,
- 49:15Speaker 14: because LIKE i was, SAYING i love The Fashion Square.
- 49:17Speaker 14: Mall the first time THAT i had ever, GONE i
- 49:19Speaker 14: went to go to the movie theater AND i got
- 49:21Speaker 14: lost in the. Mall, yeah LIKE i couldn't find my way,
- 49:24Speaker 14: out AND i loved.
- 49:25Speaker 15: It.
- 49:25Speaker 2: YEAH i remember going there probably about three years ago
- 49:28Speaker 2: because there was an express for MEN i think still
- 49:31Speaker 2: opening there or an express and we had like a
- 49:33Speaker 2: coupon and we lived In Baldwin, Park so we were
- 49:35Speaker 2: just gonna slide over. There AND i remember walking in
- 49:37Speaker 2: and it was the store. Open it was Like, express
- 49:41Speaker 2: a dude who fixed sewing, machines and a smoothie shop
- 49:45Speaker 2: and bro that was. It everything else was boarded up and.
- 49:48Speaker 3: White.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Yeah it was. Wild yeah.
- 49:51Speaker 14: Yeah and there's like broken mannekins on the, floor like
- 49:54Speaker 14: you're walking through and then the little, kid like the
- 49:56Speaker 14: little horsey thing will go.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Off it's.
- 49:58Speaker 4: Terrifying it's like it's an episode Of Walking Down yeah, really,
- 50:01Speaker 4: yeah yeah it.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Is and The Obedo mall. Went but you know before
- 50:04Speaker 2: they kind of shut that thing down was and you,
- 50:05Speaker 2: know moving on to what they're doing. Now when that
- 50:07Speaker 2: thing started kind of getting into, disrepair you would go
- 50:10Speaker 2: up there and it would be the same. Thing it
- 50:11Speaker 2: would be like your. Books a million was open Like, claire's,
- 50:15Speaker 2: uh some guy who sold caramel, apples and then everything
- 50:17Speaker 2: else Was bob's this Or linda's. That it was all
- 50:20Speaker 2: just local. Places but they had buckets all throughout the
- 50:23Speaker 2: mall because it's got this glass ceiling thing on the
- 50:26Speaker 2: every it was leaking. Everywhere so when you walk through
- 50:29Speaker 2: there is literally just five gallon home depot buckets everywhere
- 50:33Speaker 2: in the. Mall guess what that's still a fixture at
- 50:34Speaker 2: The Ovito? Mall is it really? Buckets oh? Yeah are they?
- 50:37Speaker 14: Really what's going on At Fashion square? Too maybe it's
- 50:40Speaker 14: their sludge from the.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Ceiling and, LIKE i really think it's awesome that it's
- 50:46Speaker 2: being used as a venue and all. THAT i also
- 50:49Speaker 2: just love the fact that you have this. Thing and,
- 50:52Speaker 2: man this hurts me to, say but it is an
- 50:54Speaker 2: honest opinion that theater has had better days in the
- 50:58Speaker 2: past than it does right. Now malls have had better
- 51:01Speaker 2: days than they do right. Now and here is A
- 51:05Speaker 2: i mean ridiculously talented show showing up to this mall
- 51:11Speaker 2: to go, ahead and you, know a little lemonade out
- 51:14Speaker 2: of lemons on this. One, Yeah AND i really mean.
- 51:16Speaker 2: That the guy who's running, that the theatrical, company and
- 51:19Speaker 2: his name Is Michael. Knight i've known him for like
- 51:21Speaker 2: the better part of like twelve ten years just working
- 51:25Speaker 2: around and he is bona. Fide really he makes good.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Stuff so are they gonna is it a? Tour like
- 51:31Speaker 2: you start out one part of the mall and you
- 51:32Speaker 2: kind of walk as they do the, tour and then
- 51:34Speaker 2: there's like little scared things or little scenes as they walk,
- 51:37Speaker 2: around because trust, me you're not gonna be bothering anybody
- 51:38Speaker 2: in the. Mall no, EXACTLY i don't.
- 51:40Speaker 14: Know they haven't released yet if it's gonna be you,
- 51:43Speaker 14: know walking around the mall or. Whatnot but it is
- 51:45Speaker 14: kind of it's, scenic so it's like, interactive and then
- 51:48Speaker 14: the actors are you, know all up on, you and
- 51:51Speaker 14: then you're you're helping them do, this and then you're
- 51:53Speaker 14: you're in the play, yourself you, know you.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Know back in the, day you know When Holly lean
- 51:58Speaker 2: obviously will be here before we know, it it'll be
- 52:00Speaker 2: on top of. Us and back in the, day radio
- 52:02Speaker 2: stations In. Orlando WHEN i say back in the, day
- 52:04Speaker 2: this is like the late, eighties early, nineties one of
- 52:06Speaker 2: the big things is radio stations would sponsor a haunted
- 52:08Speaker 2: house and then they, would you, know they would set
- 52:10Speaker 2: the whole thing. Up they, would you, know advertise that
- 52:12Speaker 2: you'd show. Up you, thought haunt a house should pay,
- 52:14Speaker 2: like you, know eight ten dollars whatever it, was and
- 52:16Speaker 2: all of that money went to. Charity, well they used
- 52:18Speaker 2: to do. It they did it at this one house
- 52:19Speaker 2: called The Glenn Turner, mansion which is a was a
- 52:22Speaker 2: mansion that kind of went in disrepair because the guy
- 52:24Speaker 2: got thrown in jail for multi level marketing. Schemes so
- 52:28Speaker 2: but it was too. DANGEROUS i think somebody got hurt
- 52:29Speaker 2: and they had to wind up stopping. It nobody does that, anymore,
- 52:32Speaker 2: man that would could you imagine like a big deal
- 52:36Speaker 2: haunted house in like one of, these you, know one
- 52:38Speaker 2: of these. MALLS i, MEAN i THINK i think The
- 52:40Speaker 2: Fashion Square ball would be perfect for. It you would
- 52:42Speaker 2: have to have a pretty big book production, company BUT
- 52:44Speaker 2: i think that would go over quite well because we
- 52:46Speaker 2: only had like one or two. Anymore like we have
- 52:48Speaker 2: the trails up in aln To Mont Petrified forest Patri,
- 52:51Speaker 2: park but it used to be a big thing where
- 52:54Speaker 2: there are these private haunted, experiences but they just kind
- 52:57Speaker 2: of gone.
- 52:57Speaker 4: AWAY i actually think there is one in the works
- 53:00Speaker 4: that we will be talking about in the near.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Future, really, Yes, Jim i'm right there with. You AND
- 53:08Speaker 2: i think this, Guy Michael knight And New Gent theatrical
- 53:12Speaker 2: is right there agreen with you because he's bringing. It
- 53:14Speaker 2: he's kind of doing it. This if you read the show,
- 53:16Speaker 2: description it gets kind of. Spooky really, Yeah, yeah it's
- 53:20Speaker 2: kind of, cool and they say that when you when you,
- 53:21Speaker 2: go they want you to kind of maybe if you want,
- 53:23Speaker 2: to you can Be you can dress accordingly and wind
- 53:26Speaker 2: up being part of the. Show now do you have
- 53:28Speaker 2: a choice in that or they just drag you out
- 53:29Speaker 2: of the. Crowd AND i think this IS i think this.
- 53:31Speaker 14: Is a very much like audience. Participation it's kind of
- 53:35Speaker 14: like when you go see a comedian and they just
- 53:37Speaker 14: rope you. In you don't really get a, side you.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Know do you remember WHEN i Did Sleep No more
- 53:43Speaker 2: and that was it that was considered an interactive play
- 53:46Speaker 2: WHERE i walked around AND i got to watch the
- 53:49Speaker 2: scenes of the plays and THEN i could just leave
- 53:51Speaker 2: WHENEVER i. Wanted this is kind of this is an interactive,
- 53:54Speaker 2: play which no shot at My Haunted house, FRIENDS i
- 53:58Speaker 2: think is a far INTRO i seen offering That Haunted
- 54:02Speaker 2: house is an interactive play because now there's a story
- 54:06Speaker 2: that you, know like there's a, beginning middle and ends
- 54:09Speaker 2: you can really rehearse and. Polish and they did this
- 54:13Speaker 2: LIKE i Think fringe a couple of years ago did
- 54:16Speaker 2: this where the show actually wasn't in one of the.
- 54:19Speaker 2: Theaters it met. Outside you got like a flashlight and
- 54:22Speaker 2: you went on like A they took you on a
- 54:23Speaker 2: tour around the grounds that they had set up some.
- 54:25Speaker 2: STUFF i think it was like more of a murder mystery,
- 54:27Speaker 2: thing but it was the same kind of, concept.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Was it, NOT i?
- 54:30Speaker 2: Believe so. Yeah, yeah and this guy this theatrical, company
- 54:33Speaker 2: big fringe, people big fringe. People they are some of
- 54:37Speaker 2: the elite performers at the on the theater Fest West Stokes.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Small it's going to be. Happening. Really, yes it's Called The.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Psychopaths no, way, Dude i'm so. Down jan called. It
- 54:50Speaker 2: i'm so. Down you did you kind of you predicted.
- 54:53Speaker 2: THIS i didn't predict. IT i just said it would
- 54:55Speaker 2: be a cool. Life you made it. Happen. Yeah, yeah,
- 54:57Speaker 2: Yeah i'm the guy building. This you are the origin. Story.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Chloe always get seeing you have yourself a wonderful sleeping
- 55:05Speaker 2: weekend and we will see you. Next thur's a great

- 55:24Speaker 18: and every two weeks with my.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Supervisor we just kind of go over. Things But i'm
- 55:27Speaker 2: also a team.
- 55:28Speaker 18: Leader so every day when we have our fifteen minute
- 55:31Speaker 18: break in the, morning me and my, guys we'll get
- 55:32Speaker 18: together and we'll talk about anything other than. Work and
- 55:35Speaker 18: there was one tech THAT i had an issue, with
- 55:37Speaker 18: but all it took was a, conversation and you, know
- 55:40Speaker 18: he's my best tech now AND i think it has
- 55:42Speaker 18: made me a better. Leader just opening.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Up that's. Awesome. YEAH i actually had that same experience last.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Night talked to my boss about some things and how
- 55:52Speaker 2: you go about, things and it's she was. Amazing she's

- 57:09Speaker 2: was three. Years, no it's one. Year, really, yeah good
- 57:11Speaker 2: for one, year so they get theoretically call me next year.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Again Counts Lake. County for, SURE i want to ask you.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Something sure we get into. It can you believe how
- 57:21Speaker 2: expensive dry cleaning?
- 57:21Speaker 15: Is?
- 57:22Speaker 2: NOW i noticed that your shirt is pressed and dry
- 57:24Speaker 2: clean AND i haven't done that in a. While the
- 57:26Speaker 2: last TIME i did, IT i THINK i did two
- 57:27Speaker 2: pair of pants and four shirts and it was damn
- 57:29Speaker 2: near one hundred. Dollars who don't they have.
- 57:31Speaker 4: That place where it's like a dollar fifty yell. GARMENTS
- 57:34Speaker 4: i don't know if they do or. Not, well who does?
- 57:35Speaker 2: THAT i used to drive by? It that's WHERE i
- 57:37Speaker 2: WOULD i used to drive by it.
- 57:41Speaker 3: Ry.
- 57:41Speaker 2: Cleaners, yeah, yeah, Yeah. Glenn all, Right, glenn we're doing
- 57:46Speaker 2: you'd be the. Jury So glenn has a case, here
- 57:48Speaker 2: he'll read the. Case what? Happened we are actually sitting
- 57:51Speaker 2: on the, jury, guys and anybody out there listening to
- 57:53Speaker 2: us right, now you are also on the. Jury and
- 57:55Speaker 2: if you want. To by the, way this is a
- 57:57Speaker 2: great time to use the texting service seven seven zero three.
- 57:59Speaker 2: One if you have an, opinion shoot it. In we
- 58:02Speaker 2: will use your opinions if we can't come up with good.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Ideas this is great because it's not about being right or.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Wrong what we say go that's. Right, well we say
- 58:09Speaker 2: goes unless the judge, says, NOW i guess there's no
- 58:14Speaker 2: judge on this. One this will be let's see what
- 58:15Speaker 2: you all. Think all, right very, good fire.
- 58:17Speaker 11: Away, Okay so what happens here is a fellow fifty
- 58:20Speaker 11: seven years old gets in a car accident the other
- 58:22Speaker 11: side of one hundred percent at. Fault there's no issue about.
- 58:25Speaker 11: That the sole issue is the extent of the injuries the.
- 58:29Speaker 11: Coxual the extent of the interest is. Clear, also what
- 58:32Speaker 11: happens is he has his wrist on the steering, wheel
- 58:35Speaker 11: and because he's t bone the way his vehicle's t,
- 58:38Speaker 11: bone he ends up with a ligament tear in his.
- 58:42Speaker 11: Wrist there's bones at the bottom of you of your.
- 58:46Speaker 11: Hand the wrist begins and there's a ligament that connects
- 58:50Speaker 11: two of the. Bones and when that ligament gets, torn
- 58:53Speaker 11: the bones become, loose and you have actually a collapse
- 58:56Speaker 11: of the two bones that are attached by that.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Ligament you have that, collapse you ultimately need surgery fix.
- 59:03Speaker 2: It let me ask a quick question before we go
- 59:04Speaker 2: any farther in his on his right or left, hand
- 59:07Speaker 2: left hand his left, hand is he left handed or
- 59:09Speaker 2: right hand right hand domin. It, okay go, Ahead, Okay
- 59:11Speaker 2: so what happens is he needs. Surgery he gets surgery
- 59:13Speaker 2: where they remove the three bottom bones in the hand
- 59:18Speaker 2: where the wrist. Begins, okay they removed us three, bones
- 59:21Speaker 2: and because of, it he has symptoms that will continue.
- 59:26Speaker 11: For a, long long. Time he had a lot of
- 59:28Speaker 11: pain and a lot of decreased, motion decrease use of
- 59:33Speaker 11: his left wrist until he had a. Surgery after the,
- 59:35Speaker 11: surgery for weeks and weeks he was in a, splint
- 59:37Speaker 11: couldn't do. Things he's out of the, splint and now
- 59:40Speaker 11: he's stuck with the fact that he has decreased range
- 59:43Speaker 11: of motion in his wrist in all.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Directions he's got.
- 59:47Speaker 11: Decreased strength in the, wrist decreased grip strength he has
- 59:51Speaker 11: in addition to that loss of, mobility he's got limitations
- 59:55Speaker 11: in everyday. Activities is a. Problem you can't use your left.
- 59:58Speaker 11: Hand he used it, before belt. Loops he, says there
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: are a problem button buttoning, shirts you drop, things carrying,
- 1:00:06Speaker 11: groceries picking up the, grandhoulder and trying to do any
- 1:00:09Speaker 11: kind of long. Care cannot swing a golf, club cannot
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: do a push. Up oh, really so now he can't
- 1:00:16Speaker 11: bend his wrist like that to do a better risk
- 1:00:18Speaker 11: and doesn't have the strength of the.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Wrist it also affects major quality of life issue, here
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: quality of life.
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: Issue so the question is we know that there's really
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: no dispute about his. Default there's no dispute that this
- 1:00:29Speaker 11: injury occurred from this. Crash and the whole issue is
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: what is his pain and the loss of enjoyment of
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: life and to worry about the. Future what's what's the?
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Worth what's that?
- 1:00:41Speaker 11: Worth and his job is he's a supervisor in a
- 1:00:45Speaker 11: fast food type place where he has several stores that
- 1:00:48Speaker 11: he goes. To but when a manager is, out he's
- 1:00:51Speaker 11: got to do some of the work and it becomes very.
- 1:00:52Speaker 11: Difficult he has a problem climbing ladders because you need
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: both thumbsladders and that sort of. Thing and you, KNOW
- 1:00:59Speaker 11: i always look from my, perspective it was my risk
- 1:01:01Speaker 11: of my. End, WELL i know WHAT i think it's.
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: Worth the other side they, have of course minimized what
- 1:01:06Speaker 11: they think it's. Worth, Right SO i thought it'd be
- 1:01:08Speaker 11: good to just have the three of you try to
- 1:01:11Speaker 11: figure out what you would award to this fifty seven
- 1:01:13Speaker 11: year old man for the loss of enjoyment of life
- 1:01:15Speaker 11: and what he's going.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Through they have the three bones in the bottom of his.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Wrist do you already know the? NUMBER i don't know. That,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: okay don't know the. Number that's what we're arguing.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: About.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Okay SO i just want to make sure here before
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: we get into.
- 1:01:24Speaker 11: This, yeah this is not one of those where you
- 1:01:25Speaker 11: guys will come up with numbers And i'll, say, oh
- 1:01:26Speaker 11: by the, WAY i got two million dollars.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: More that's not what this, is all. Right this is
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: asking like man on the, Street, yeah, YEAH i got
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: you one hundred, percent no problems. Whatever so for, me
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: because that would not affect my, job correct like me
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: getting my risks my left wrist messed up would not
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: affect my. JOB i would easily still still be able
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: to do talk. Radio, MAN i. Disagree we would hear
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: about it every. Yea it would affect our, job but
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: it would affect my lifestyle because golf is one of
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: my favorite things on Planet earth to, do AND i
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: still have some time to do that in my. Life
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: i'm only fifty eight years, old SO i saw plenty
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: of time to play as much golf AS i. Want
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: to tell us about the. Same that would be a,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: major major player in my. World that would be a
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: massive change of my lifestyle and quality of. Life so
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: it wouldn't affect my job so, much but it would
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: affect my quality of. Life so when it comes to
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: monetary value on, THAT i don't know how much that
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: if that happened to, me that would really how MUCH
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: i could really claim? There well you. CAN i, mean
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: it's not just for compensation for what you're unable to do.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Professionally it is a quality of life and it does
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: hold my grandkids all of, that which IS i think
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: Something glenn brought up as.
- 1:02:33Speaker 11: Well, okay so can he good point about the. Grandkids
- 1:02:36Speaker 11: he can't. Lift he's got baby. Grandkids he doesn't feel
- 1:02:39Speaker 11: comfortable listening.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Them they what was this all from the accident or
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: was There did the doctors do what the doctors are
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: supposed to?
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Do then none of this is like the doctor screwed? Up, no,
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: no this is all there's no.
- 1:02:52Speaker 11: Question the only issue we have in this case is
- 1:02:54Speaker 11: what's it worth by virtue of the fact that he
- 1:02:57Speaker 11: can't do the things he used to do and he's
- 1:02:59Speaker 11: gonna have to go through probably the rest of his
- 1:03:01Speaker 11: life dealing with what he's you, know what he's left
- 1:03:03Speaker 11: with because of this.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Accident and he knew the surgery was going to have
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: this like this was the best the surgery was going to.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Provide absolutely, okay absolutely knew going in after the fact
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: he was not gonna have the, pain but he was
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: gonna have limited. Motion, well and he had limited motion.
- 1:03:16Speaker 11: Beforehand and the surgery leaves him with probably half the
- 1:03:18Speaker 11: motion that he had before before the, crash and it
- 1:03:21Speaker 11: leaves him with probably half the strength that he had
- 1:03:23Speaker 11: before the.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Crash so a real scary movie strong. Hands and So
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: i'm gonna go with number. WISE i feel like my right.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Hand it's the right, hand the left, hand left, hand
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: non dominant, hand non dominant. Hand and that's got a
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: matter in the court of law right a little, bit
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: but gonna be a bit if you look at what he.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: DOES i, mean if you work in a, restaurant you
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: have to have grip pressure to pick stuff up and.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Everything he doesn't have any grip pressure in his left.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Hand twelve million, Dollars, oh that's. Hot well In texas
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: said sixty seven. Million that's that's, even that's. Bananas but
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: they sent that Before glenn even sat down that pressures
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: dare fifty. Eight he can still, Work, sure he can
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: still make. Money quality of life is. Horrible, now how
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: much is that worth a? Year? Though, buddy that's what
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: you have to think of. Yourself and then you would take.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: That you don't take that to, death you take that to.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Retirement well you get well.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: Again you're only looking at the work aspect of, it
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: and he's got what ten more years of.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: Work i'm going to add that. On What i'm trying
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: to do is start with the basis of how MUCH
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: i think the work thing would. Do we have an
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: idea what his, annual what his salary.
- 1:04:27Speaker 11: Is it's an income laws situation because he's still making
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: the same amount of he. Was he missed, it he
- 1:04:32Speaker 11: missed some time from, work but it was.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Covered so it's only a quality of life. CORRECT i would,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: SAY i think it's probably worth about a half a million. Dollars,
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: oh that's, it about a half a million. Bucks i'm
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: going maybe between a half and, one BUT i think
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: no more than like a million. Dollars i'll take the
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: over on. That i'll go a million to one point.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Five you get one point, five all, Right i'm going
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: to give him three. Million but, man that's a. Lot you,
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: know he doesn't lose his, job but he does lose
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: that quality of life to hold your baby and things like.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: That but but, well hold, on no stop for because
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: you've glossed over. It but that could. HAPPEN i, mean
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: that could happen just from old. Age you could just
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: get old. Enough he's younger than. You, YEAH i understand,
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: that but eventually he's going to be at that. Point
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: SO i think you only take the number to like retirement.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: Too and the rest of this, SHOW i want you
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: to put your left hand in your pocket and don't
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: take it, out and watch HOW.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: I want it to be. There, no, yeah how about playing?
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: CARDS i mean you all play a lot of.
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: Cars you, know it's not something you've done recreation wise very,
- 1:05:35Speaker 11: much BUT i would respect that you need your left hand.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Right, yeah But i've seen people play cards that only
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: have one. ARM i, Mean i've seen you know that
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: does actually. Guitar the guitar thing is a. PLAYER i
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: mean you obviously you can't if you are a guitarist
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: and that is part of your. Thing maybe even a
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: side hustle that comes to a stop to be a. Hobby,
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: yeah it could be a. Hobby you, know you lost
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: your you lost the hobby of something doing something you
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: love to. Do, yeah you're gonna to a judge and, say,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: hey look my god can't Play Sweet home, Anymore SO
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: i need three. Million it's a quality of.
- 1:06:04Speaker 11: Life, yeah it's what everyday people sitting on a jury
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: are going to listen to and feel like they should fairly.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Compensation we are the, jury and quite, frankly we're pissed
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: you're on. It some of you are, SAYING i, mean
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: we have everything from five million to six hundred. Thousand
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: one guy says fifty. K one guy says three hundred
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: and fifty ku he, Says and then other people are, saying,
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: like no, piano no, guitar you can't do any of that.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Stuff can't work on cars. Anymore you need you need
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: dexterity to be able to work on. VEHICLES i, mean
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: but there's a thing that happens every single day that
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: glenm buttoning your. Shirt oh, yeah, yeah, yeah it's sup
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: something as simple as. That the sippers in this guy's.
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: Life it's it's like the things you do that you
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: don't realize how often your non dominant hair hand is a,
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: fact but it's.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Not completely it's not completely out of, play, dude you
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: know WHAT i, mean he still has use of.
- 1:06:54Speaker 12: It so can you?
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Play can you Play Rock paper?
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: Scissors Glen, Glenn i'm, SORRY i didn't know that That
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: Jim colbert was working for the insurance.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Company for the, COMPANY i want to be. FAIR i,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: mean here's the. Thing the guy doesn't deserve a lottery
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: ticket because of. THIS i, mean it was a surgery that,
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: happened it's an. Accident he's gonna get. Paid what number
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: would you put behind the quote unquote term lottery? TICKET
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: i MEAN i think when you're saying three or four million,
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: DOLLARS i think that's kind of a lottery ticket scenario.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: THERE i DON'T i don't know that an injury like
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: this is worth three or four million. DOLLARS i mean
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: that would be like a. Blessing SO i THINK i
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: CAN i tell. YOU i think people would volunteer to
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: have this injury to get three or four million. Dollars
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: how long are you going to live your? Life, YEAH
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: i don't, know probably to eighty.
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: Years so, okay so just say the next thirty years
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: you're dealing with a hand functioning at what sixty, percent.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Which is not gonna get better as you get. Older
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: he's probably at fifty.
- 1:07:48Speaker 11: Percent and you figure in how many days or in
- 1:07:51Speaker 11: a year that he's gonna have to start, with and
- 1:07:54Speaker 11: how many years is this going to? Be and are
- 1:07:56Speaker 11: you going to give him money for each? Day because
- 1:07:57Speaker 11: there's gonna be some problem each, day.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: But they're also mean to be prey days with the
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: are no.
- 1:08:01Speaker 11: Problems, well there's gonna be days where he still has
- 1:08:05Speaker 11: loss of grip, strength he still has, uh the loss of,
- 1:08:08Speaker 11: motion but maybe he's he's not playing golf that, day
- 1:08:10Speaker 11: maybe you know those sort of.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: Things but, yeah it will come into play every. Day
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: his wife is never going to ask him to open
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: the jar jelley.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Anymore, yes that the right. Hand that's the one of
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: the crazier. Takes i've heard to. Say it's not gonna
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: affect him every. Day it's a left arm. Shot he's
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: got a little chicken. Away What i'm saying is if
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: if he just used you don't you don't have to
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: use it every, Day like you don't have to go
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: in on there and grab stuff every. Day there are
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: days that you don't use your left hand a. Lot but, like,
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: uh you closed was a great. Example what's it be
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: worth you if you we told you today you can
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: never play golf. Again oh it's one hundred. Million that's
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: a lottery. Chicken, yeah, yeah that's.
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: Thank.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: You it's a lottery. Ticket you, know that would be
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: a big deal for. ME i still BUT i still
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: don't think i'd have my hand out thinking THAT i
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: owed ten million dollars BECAUSE i can't do it. Anymore
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: i'll probably still figure out what it, somehow BUT i
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: still think it's probably a million right out of million.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Bucks But i'm saying with, Three i'll Go i'll open
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: a little. Bit i'll go seven fifty to a. Million
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: i'll go one to one point. Five all, Right and
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: you say? Three still, Yep and what factors are you
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: using to come up with the with the? Numbers what
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: do you how are you?
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: Find?
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah he doesn't like left hands because because
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: the guy still has some, motion he does deserve to
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: be compensated for the. Injury there's zero. QUESTION i just you,
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: know he's a he's a manager for a fast food, restaurant,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: yes super. Supervisor he goes to several different, ones SO i,
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: mean and sometimes what happens as a manager, Man i'd
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: beat there and he'd have to do some of the,
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: work physical work he otherwise wouldn't have to do that
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: sort of. Thing how often it happens as hard as
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: he surely a quality of life, scenario, right.
- 1:09:45Speaker 11: It's loss of enjoyment of life, primarily and and the
- 1:09:48Speaker 11: fact that there's a lot of anguish that goes with.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: It that's a. Hut so if you make you, know
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: if he makes anywhere between seventy eighty hundred grand a,
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: Year i'm bonusing this guy ten years of his full
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: salary for, this, like and he still gets, paid you
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: know What i'm. Saying so that's How i'm kind of
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: looking at.
- 1:10:05Speaker 15: It.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: OKAY i have a rule that if you ever go
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: and lose a limb or a limb gets severely, damaged you,
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: know and the lawsuits there and where this is what's
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: about to, happen you get paid a mill and then
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: you're just. Done that's on. You if you squander a million,
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: dollars you should be able To Maybe i'll get pissed
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: some people, off but you should be able to live
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: off of a million dollars at the age of fifty five,
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: COMFORTABLY i would. Agree. Yeah by the, way is this
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: tax is civil war money. Tax this money is not, taxable, right,
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Right so it's gonna be the full it's gonna be
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: the full. Bones and when he gets a, million it's a.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: Million it's not like six hundred. Grede, well you, know
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: we're talking about what it's. Worth you, know if he
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: gets what he, gets of course from a, jury they'll
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: have to deduct the unpaid medical bills they get paid
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: and things like. That but what we're talking about right
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: now is what's it worth for the loss of enjoyment
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: of life and the pain that he's been through and
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: the anguish that he's going to continue to, have worrying
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: about his left hand and things he can't do that
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: he would love to. Do, Yeah So i'm, Figuring glenn
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: as how we got to that.
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: Number so at fifty seven figure thirty years eighty, seven you,
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: know so, average you, know figure just around thirty years
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: he's got. Left it's hard to kind of put a
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: date on, it BUT i know some people can do
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: that all. Right so at thirty, years if it's three,
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: million two, hundred that's almost eleven thousand days he has
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: left eleven thousand times he wakes up and is dealing
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: with a hand. Functioning if fifty percent it was before this,
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: accident that was not his, fault, right breaking down to
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: about two hundred and seventy bucks a.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: Day there you, go and that doesn't sound like, much does?
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: IT i don't think. So the overwhelmed excuse, me the
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: overwhelming number that's coming in on the texting. Services five.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: Million that's the number THAT i see more than any
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: any other one single. Number it's five million.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Dollar.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Yeah it's just interesting to see how people come up
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: with a number. Though all, right so what do you?
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: THINK i? Mean but how do you? Do how do
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: lawyers calculate? This how do how does a judge calculate?
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: It when the guy can still? WORK i mean to,
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: me that's the big asterisk in this, situation, RIGHT i
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: do have empathy for the guy THAT i feel bad for,
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: him and to be honest with, You i'm making a
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: stab like anybody. Else but he still can earn, money.
- 1:12:07Speaker 11: Sure absolutely. Well the way it works is will make
- 1:12:10Speaker 11: an offer the other side of my. Offers we'll see
- 1:12:12Speaker 11: if we get the, case settle at a number that
- 1:12:13Speaker 11: the client is happy. With if that doesn't, happen you
- 1:12:16Speaker 11: end up going to. Trial you're going to try to
- 1:12:18Speaker 11: read the jury as to what you think they would
- 1:12:21Speaker 11: be comfortable, awarding and that's what you'll ask for with
- 1:12:24Speaker 11: the with the arguments to back up what you're asking.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: For it's just one of the only times that you
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: actually confer with the client on what they think it's.
- 1:12:31Speaker 16: Worth.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely always you always always confer with the. CLIENT
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: i understand, that BUT i mean the client can, say,
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: well one hundred and fifty, TRILLION i, mean But i'm, saying.
- 1:12:40Speaker 11: Well, okay you're ass to getting that are slim to.
- 1:12:44Speaker 11: None but that's still not an answer.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: Though you're saying the chances of you getting a billion
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: dollars almost, number but you're not saying what the chances
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: over getting what we are getting. Is so if he
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: comes up and it says three or four, million what
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: do you? Say? Then do you just, say we'll go
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: ask for it and see what we.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: Get?
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Sure? Sure.
- 1:12:59Speaker 11: You what you do is you start with the client's
- 1:13:02Speaker 11: number and then you negotiate back and forth and the
- 1:13:03Speaker 11: client has to decide does a client want to go
- 1:13:05Speaker 11: to trial and take a chance on getting something less
- 1:13:08Speaker 11: with six people from that are going to be a
- 1:13:10Speaker 11: jury that don't know anything about. Him we don't know
- 1:13:13Speaker 11: anything about them until they walk into the courtroom and
- 1:13:15Speaker 11: they start asking, questions and it's it's kind of a
- 1:13:18Speaker 11: nerve wracking experience for someone because the other side is
- 1:13:21Speaker 11: going to have arguments as to why it's worth what
- 1:13:23Speaker 11: they think it's. Worth you've got your arguments while you
- 1:13:25Speaker 11: think it's what it's, worth, right and the other side.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: May may think.
- 1:13:30Speaker 11: That the jury may think the other side's got a
- 1:13:32Speaker 11: more compelling, argument and the client may end up getting
- 1:13:35Speaker 11: short changed by. It so it's always a, risk always a.
- 1:13:38Speaker 11: Risk it's hard to read what the jury is going to.
- 1:13:40Speaker 11: Do you try to pick a good jury that you
- 1:13:44Speaker 11: think is going to be empathetic to your your side.
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: Of the, case but you just never. Know and you
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: look at just the makeup right, here we're just the
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: three of, us and you have two people'd be willing
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: to give him well over a million and a half
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: two million. Dollars they're a conversation person that says a,
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: million so, WELL i thought it was less than a.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Million one, Yeah, no it's onth pointing out That jim
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: has suggested the smallest number From, JACK i, SAID i
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: think we had with the texting. Service BUT i just
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: said a few minutes ago THAT i would alter that
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: and go up between seven and fifty and a. MILLION i,
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: MEAN i still think that's. Fair But jack saying, three
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: and he's saying. Once if you averaged that, out it
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: still says about a million and a half. Dollars this
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: is what a jury. Does right when you get back
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: in that jury. Room one person's going to come up
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: with a low. Number other people are come up with higher,
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: numbers and then goodness each, other and they'll come up
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: with the number that as a group that they like
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: outside of the number of choice that they've made on
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: the texting. Service the other thing that's the most popular
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: thing IS i never want me on their. Jury the
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: number one thing everybody. SAYS i don't Want jim near my.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Jury IF i saw you right, up this is real jury,
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Duty i'd be, like do you know this? Guy why
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: do you have something against? Him and we're we're, Late
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: BUT i have to ask this, Question so would do
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: you if the jury makeup is so unbelievably, Important because
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: do you think that if the jury has made up
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: with people who are like your blue collar blue collar.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Workers if it's three of them and three people who
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: are like white collar, executives c sweet kind of, people
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: that really does make a gigantic, difference, right because of
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: the way they look at life in, general or it.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: Does it makes a huge.
- 1:15:12Speaker 11: Difference you're gonna have people on a jury like you
- 1:15:14Speaker 11: who have a very strong personality and may be harder
- 1:15:17Speaker 11: to convince it than other. People and you've got some
- 1:15:20Speaker 11: people that are more push efforts Like. Jack, well you
- 1:15:22Speaker 11: know how much a lot of what happens is people
- 1:15:25Speaker 11: that have a higher education and have a job that
- 1:15:29Speaker 11: they supervise other. People those people seem to have more
- 1:15:32Speaker 11: influence in the jury room than somebody who is you,
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: know hasn't, finished hasn't had any higher, education and it's
- 1:15:40Speaker 11: just you, know at everyday. Labor those folks sometimes were
- 1:15:43Speaker 11: live or get pushed over by the personal stronger. Personality
- 1:15:48Speaker 11: that's what. Happens so you're gonna be careful when you're
- 1:15:50Speaker 11: picking a. Jury if you're gonna put someone on there
- 1:15:51Speaker 11: with a very strong, personality you want to make sure
- 1:15:54Speaker 11: that you feel like they're going to be empathetic towards your.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: Clients, yeah, great job today a lot of.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: Fun this is.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Fun the texting service response to, this we should do
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: this once a. Month the texting service response to this was, Overwhelming,
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: LIKE i, mean we've got an absolute screen and a
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: half full of people chiming in on. This we should
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: do this once a. Month percent happy to do. It
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: that's Klosmon law k L A U S M A
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: N law dot com offices right here In. Orlando four
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: oh seven nine one seven seventeen. Eighteen always good to,
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: You New glenn All right FOUR o seven nine one
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: six one over one text us seven seven zero three
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: one back in one second with more Than jym covert
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: show of J WHAT i thought this was back in the.
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: NINETIES i was still in high, school so it's probably
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: like nineteen ninety, three when the Original Colonial plaza was still,
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: there that mall was already, dead and the J c's
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: than a hunted house of one of the old big box.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: STORES i remember we volunteered so, that you, know they
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: could raise. Money it was actually a pretty cool. Thought
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: it was a little, corny but maybe it was just
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: a little ahead of its.
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: Time, MAN i can't tell how spooky this, Was SO
- 1:17:01Speaker 5: i do fire inspections for a living. It it's really
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: popular for me to do spirit holloweens around this. TIME
- 1:17:09Speaker 5: i did one in a mall and the entire mall
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: was abandoned AND i had to check out the second
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: floor of this mall with no one up there and
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: all the lights throw.
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: Off ALL i had was a.
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: FLASHLIGHT i can't tell you how creepy and spooky it
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: was to turn around and look at all these random mannequins.
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: Everywhere SO i think an abandoned mall would be an
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: excellent haunted.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: House, yeah not to. Mention you have the main, area
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: like the. Promenade you could do stuff, there live music,
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: bars and then use the, stores the old storefronts as
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: like different themes of haunted. Houses it could either be
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: one big one or you could use the interior part
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: of the mall as like an event, center you, know
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: rope it, off live, MUSIC, dj whatever the case may.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: Be dog it all up really, nicely make it look,
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: good and then use like old stores as the actual haunted.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Houses you can have four different concepts and you buy one.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Ticket it's a hundred bucks to get, in but one
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: hundred bucks to get you a couple drinks you get
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: to see the light, music and it gets your entry
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: into you, know two or three of those houses or
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: whatever that. WOULD i, mean that's that's a winter concept right.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: THERE i mean it's not gonna be cheap to set that,
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: up because you, know building haunted houses is not. Cheap
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: but if you're a company Like spirit and you have
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: access to all of the koutreman that is haunted, HOUSES
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: i think you can pull that. OFF i h it's
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: a legitim business idea right. There he's talking about being
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: spooked out by the. Dark have you guys gotten spooked
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: out by the dark? Recently because it's still? There but the? Dark? Yeah,
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Yeah WELL i live in a house with a massive
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: basement and THAT i never go down, to and the
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: stairwell that goes down to it is about a foot
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: and a half. WIDE i think it's. WILD i think
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: it's okay to say that the fear of the dark
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: really never goes, away but you just get used to
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: it and you can conquer it way. EASIER i don't.
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: Know for, ME i still look at, DARK i, go,
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: well you know what makes it worse is when you
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: see movies that feature things that happened. THERE i think that's,
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: why whether it Be Blair witch or whether it be
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: what was that The Will smith movie with the, ZOMBIES
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: i am, Legend, yeah where they flashed that light and
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: you're all standing in the. Corner, yeah that's the kind
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: of THING i bet that dude's talking. About like you're
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: doing those. Inspections he's rolling through the stores and he's
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: panning that light right the left or left or, right
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: and you're just waiting to see that set of eyes
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: with that person standing there staring at, You and just
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: the thought of that gives me goosebump and just Mannequin's
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: it's like that mannequin or someone just really still. RIGHT
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: i recently just terrified my own self with via the
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: dark or like an idiot. DUDE i don't know IF
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: i talked to The penjamin a little bit too. MUCH
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: i don't know what. Happened my baby was, asleep my
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: son was in his, crib AND i turned the corner
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: to see him and the entire his entire, Room jim
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: is filled with a dark abyss this, void like an inky,
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: dark an inky. Dark WHERE i? Go where is his night?
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: Light like riverwater? Dark that's not what his night light looks,
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: like why is this room just pitch? Black BUT i
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: can see the red glow of his night, light AND i,
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: go what is, Happening? Jim the door was. CLOSED i
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: was in front of a door was it was dark
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: out in my. House the door was cracked open just
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: enough so that the red light would go around the
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: door and hug. It, yeah and my eyes were playing
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: a trick on. Me what a scarier dark or dimly
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: lit like where you can make where you can make
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: out like. SHADOWS i think that's actually scarier when you
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: can make out little shadows and shapes when it's completely.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: DARK i, MEAN i scared myself with an opaque, door
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: SO i just pitch. Black it's. Haunting do you get
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: spooked like? That BUT i gotta tell, you you don't
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: look at you don't strike me as a guy that
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: gets spooked like. That you seem like painfully, logical where you're, Like,
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: okay this doesn't, exist that's not. Real but, WELL i.
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: Mean growing, up, yeah there was that whole fear of
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: that what you don't, see and then you start imagining
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: IT'S i think it really plays on your, imagination, Right
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: so if you have that active, imagination maybe you're more
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: likely to kind of conjure up the things that might
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: scare the pants.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: Off, yeah, YEAH i got to tell you another. One
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: AND i know there are a bunch of people that
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: are listening that know. This so WHEN i lived up
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: In Pee, town we would go and drive through The
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: Ocalin National forest and there's an area up there called
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: the Mon decks that was a big hunting. Area AND
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: i know people out there tripping. BALLS i even said
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: those two, words but but it. Was it's really, narrow
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: two like two path roads that go all the way
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: they go through The Ocala National. Forests in other, words
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: the road is just like two, ruts, Right it's not
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: like a road per. Se it's just two like wagon.
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: Ruts but, that you, know for cars going through the
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: forest and going around corners in this state is wild
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: because you never know what you're gonna. See so you're
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: going down the, road you get your, lights it's only
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: giving you what's out. From but when you turn a
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: corner like, that you're illuminating that road for the first.
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: Time it's just it's creepy as. Hell to. Me, YEAH
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: i do. Not I'm i'm not Saying i'm afraid of the.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: Dark i'm just saying THAT i don't thrive in the.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: Dark who does in the? Dark empires and the haunted
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: houses don't really scare me that much because you, know there's,
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: rules yeah. RIGHT i, mean you love the pageantry of it,
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: all like how how well things are decorated and what
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: they've done to kind of try to scare. You but
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: the truth scary stuff is what that guy just. Said
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: walking through an abandoned seventy thousand square foot, mall nobody's,
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: there it's just. You you could literally hear your own
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: footsteps echoing through the mall as you're. Walking, dude that's
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: creepy because you don't know who's in that. Bitch you
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: don't notice some homeless, Dude you. Don't and there's no, rules, right,
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: xactly no.
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: Rules you, know you go To, halloween Hard, knights you
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: go to petrov part there's, rules, right exactly. Right no
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: one wants to be. Soon, yeah but, yeah you're alone
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: in a place in a spooky. Environment yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: DUDE i gonna tell You i've been spoop down in
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: a place in the dead daytime when we went To
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: ST's park to go, to, uh what's the? Hotel The shining.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: Hotel oh, UH i never remember this. One, yeah, yeah
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: but we went everyone knows. It but we went to
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: The Shining. Hotel, yeah and they do uh and they
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: do tours of that house and they tour the. Basement
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: you can actually tour the basement of the House Stanley Stanley, hotel,
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: Right AND i gotta tell you you for one, thing
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: it's a waiting list to tour at. NIGHT i mean
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: they laugh at you if you try to buy nighttime
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: tickets that. Day it's a it's sold out months in.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: Advance but when you go, through even the daytime tour is.
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: Creepy is creepy as hell because the hotel itself is.
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: Creepy but when you do that basement, tour it's it's
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: crazy because there's like caves under.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: There what do you think the nightly raid is for
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: The Stanley. Hotel it's got to be to stay there
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: or do The, TOURSAY i think we paid three hundred
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: and twenty five dollars a night one seventy. Three, yeah,
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: YEAH i think we were there in peak season. Though
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: we were there like, yeah, yeah so they're Looking, november you, know, Yeah,
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: yeah we were there in.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: SEASON i think we paid the most and we stayed
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: in a room we asked, for The haunted, room the
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: one that That Stephen king stayed in for the inspiration
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: for The. Shining but that one's booked. AGAIN i think
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: That roub has booked like years in advance because people
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: just want to go and stay in there and feel the.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Vibe what is the scariest moment of your? Life like
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: in not, like OH i almost going to a car,
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: accident you were, like oh a? Demon oh, no you
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: you're you saw a? Ghost, yeah and he lives with.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: Them i'm telling, you, DUDE i will never ever ever
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: be able to. Explain but that night that we saw
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: whatever that was go across the top of my pool
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: is by far the most unexplainable Thing i've ever experienced
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: in my. Life it's not even. Close that. Is what
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: happened that night is one thousand percent. Unexplainable and it's
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: not just me that saw. It my daughter and my
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: wife saw it as, well and they saw the same
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: exact THING i saw from a different. Perspective, unexplainable without,
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: question an apparition that looked like a child running across
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: the top of my. Pool, YEAH i just got. GOOSEBUMPS i,
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: mean my MY i will tell YOU i turned white that,
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: night like, whiter Like i'm standing, there and because when
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: your brain worked so, fast there was no way to explain.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: It there was no and my brain was, like, okay
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: what's the logical represent you know? What and there was,
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: none there was no. Answer SO i immediately went to, that,
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: OHS i just saw something THAT i DON'T i can't explain.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: IT i remember WHEN i was a kid this this
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: was kind of, scary and then it ended up being pretty.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Funny is that my my brother had this like ridiculous
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: amount of deja vu right in the middle of the
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: day with my. Mom, yeah and all of a sudden
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: it was something like, mom you can't, Go like it
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: was a real final destination. Moment and then my brother
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: dramatically starts going right down these numbers, fifteen, twelve twenty,
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: nine and he's like really putting on to, perform, like
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: oh my, god, dude he spent a. Trance he's got these.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Numbers we're gonna. Win the every was pissed, wrong, right every?
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: Number why would you put on the? Performance all? Right
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: and by the, way somebody just reminded us WHEN i
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: was with the. Monsters we actually spent the night in
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: The Townsend. Plantation SO i don't know if you know about,
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: it but if you up in A, popka there's an
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: old home that's off to the, left it would just
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: be called The Townsen's. Plantation for, years it was a.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: Restaurant THEN i think it became a wedding venue or
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: a you, know a corporate venue kind of. Thing and
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: NOW i really don't know what it, is but it,
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: was you, know legend it was. Haunted and it's an
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: old antebellum you, know, uh probably fifty five hundred square
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: foot kind of home with three, levels so you got
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: ghosts offering you rubab. Pop, yeah it had turrets in
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: the whole nine. Yards but the scariest part of that
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: entire place is this what we didn't know what is
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: what was in all the. Closets so when they when
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: they shut the hotel, down they went and they grabbed
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: everything that they used to decorate the hotel and they
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: put it in storage, rooms whether it be, closets rooms
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: where the kitchen. Was because the kitchen didn't, work didn't run,
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: anymore they closed the entire. Business but we didn't know,
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: that so we're kind of walking around the room and
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: we're trying we're making a radio show where it's almost
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: like a first podcast of all time is we're basically
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: talking in the recorders and we edited that down together
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: afterwards and then played it as A halloween. Show so
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: we're walking around only, flashlights pitch. Black it's not really
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: a secure. Property we don't know what's going. On AND
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: i opened a door to look and see what's in,
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: there and WHEN i open, it it's full of deer
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: antlers because the hotel is the property used to have
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: deer antlers everywhere as. Decoration and you open it up
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: and its top to the, bottom all the way to the,
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: back just big racks of deer. Antlers that was. Crazy that's.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: Spooky yea, Yeah and shout out to empty. Wheelchairs you're terrifying,
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: too especially once said they're. Moving or old, gurneys, dude
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: there was a place In Pine hills called Sunny land
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: that was an old psychiatric hospital and they just abandon
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: it and you used to be able to sneak in
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: there and you would see like old gurneys and old old,
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: wire like baby cribs and. Stuff it. Was you could
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: go online and search sunnyland and pine, hills and you
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: can see old pictures of. It but if you see
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: just look like a movie, set if you just see lonely,
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: crutches you're, like all, right someone feel. Better it's weird like,
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: that all, right back in a second on this Rainy.
- 1:28:15Speaker 19: Thursday hope everyone else is having a great, day better than,
- 1:28:18Speaker 19: mine BECAUSE i found out my Little ranger is gonna
- 1:28:20Speaker 19: have to have camshafts, synchronization which not, cheap not, easy time.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: Consuming but is what it.
- 1:28:27Speaker 19: Is jimmy got a quick question for. You do you
- 1:28:29Speaker 19: know why manual transmissions are more reliable than? AUTOMATICS i do,
- 1:28:33Speaker 19: Not Buddy, WELL i, Mean. Jimmy they come in, college,
- 1:28:36Speaker 19: baby big t.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: O all, right, hey, Guys Deputy.
- 1:28:40Speaker 10: Scott about twenty, twelve twenty, THIRTEEN i worked At Georgetown
- 1:28:44Speaker 10: university outside OF.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: Dc we had foot beats walking.
- 1:28:47Speaker 10: Patrols one of the walking patrols was from midnight to eight,
- 1:28:51Speaker 10: am and our job was to walk three stories below
- 1:28:55Speaker 10: ground in the old hospital and check all the freezers
- 1:28:58Speaker 10: with all the dead things in.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: It three.
- 1:29:00Speaker 10: Am checking dead.
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: Freezers two stories. Underground, no thank, you that's. Creepy that's
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: a hard. Pass for your. Boy that is a hard
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: pass for your. Boy flora seven nine one text seven
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: seven zero three. One I'm, Jim jack And ross are
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: right over. There, yeah there's a girl in town that does.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: This it's kind of. Creepy florida or something like. THAT
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: i text her a while. Back, yeah going on a
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: trip To. BELGIUM i think she's. Back. Now we're gonna
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: have her on the. SHOW i think in the next
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: couple of weeks she basically goes Around orlando and finds
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: all the ghost story kind of stuff About. Orlando we're
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: gonna have her on a couple of times before we
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: get over To. HALLOWEEN i like that kind of. Stuff it's. Fun,
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: yes got a couple of texts About Sonny land from
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: my Old Pine hills. Crew they snuck into Sunny land
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: to check that stuff. Out kind of. Creepy how long
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: ago was? That this was a standay eighties. MAN i
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: think they tore it down in the earlier mid nineties
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: because it was A it was a real. Hazard they
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: had fence around, it but it didn't. MATTER i mean
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: you could sneak in and. It, yeah it was really
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: dangerous because it was just Old decrepit. Rotting the floors were.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: Bad that's what happened with that other place, too the
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: place over in a In Seminold, county the The Glen Turner.
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: Mansion the floors basically wrought it. Out AND i think
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: what wound up getting that thing. Bulldozed somebody bought the
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: property because it's a beautiful beece of, property BUT i
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: think somebody felt to the floor and hurt themselves or
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: down the elevator shaft or something like oh my, yeah. Hello.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: Yeah it was like a. Manner it was like kind of.
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: Wild the other thing that, is when we were looking
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: for a house that we're in right, now we looked
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: at another place that was right beside a. Graveyard but
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: the house was kind of cool because it was kind of,
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: older which we, like and it had a separate house
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: kind of, garage so it had a, garage three car,
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: garage and then on top of the three car, garage
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: it was like a two to, two you, know fifteen
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: hundred square foot kind of apartment, thing which we were, like,
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: man that's great because the price was. Right so you're
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: getting like two. Houses so we need a tour of, it,
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: Right and as we're doing the tour of. IT i
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: looked at my, Crew i'm, like this used to be the.
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: Funeral there's no. Question when we went into the, kitchen
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: the kitchen had all stainless steel like countertops with. Legs,
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: no there were no. Cabinets it was just the countertop
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: and it had the middle island had also like a stainless.
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: Stels i'm, like this is a this is like a,
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: morgue like like a more, dude this is where they
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: would like do the body stuff, like this is where
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: they would do the auto not. Autopsies but what is
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: it the. Embalming, yeah the embalming and.
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: Stuff.
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: Yeah AND i was like and then my then my,
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: friends our, friends and my wife was, like do you
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: guys feel like something heavy on top of? You and
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: they were. Tripping i'm, like, NO i don't feel any of.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: THAT i, said this place is, creepy BUT i don't
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: feel any of. That you are the ghost believer, though.
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: Yeah the, uh why do you have an affinity for older? Homes?
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: Uh that's a wife. Thing she likes the old. Houses
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: she likes those. Shit, well she likes minent mid century
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: modern that's usually from the. Fifties, okay so the house
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: is where in now is from the, fifties so she
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: just likes, it likes the vibe of it because you talked,
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: about you, know.
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: This stairway being more narrow and sleep someone of your
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: size back then would have been considered a, giant. RIGHT
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: i don't know of only six two the bathrooms that
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: lock on the outside Only.
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: Oh, yeah that's that was in my. House, yeah, yeah
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: kind of. Crazy and there's some other stuff. Too, man
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: it's been kind of. WILD i did want to kind
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: of get into this, though because it's kind of. Fun
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: so there's a not a, trend but this is, happening
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: and AS i was thinking about this, today it's already happened,
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: once BUT i don't think they carried it to the same.
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: Level there's a restaurant from our, Day jack and, then
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: by the, way this restaurant still Around Patio, pete but
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: the style that the restaurant is in now is nothing
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: like it used to. Be and the REASON i bring
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: that up is because In florida there is one of
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: these restaurants that still stands and they keep it designed
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: like from the early. Eighties so you can go to the,
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: restaurant which we all. Know by the, way you can
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: go to the restaurant and you can sit down and
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: have that nostalgic experience that you had when you were
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: a kid when you went to this. Restaurant shony's non
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: corral Like. Applebee's no, way it's way older than.
- 1:33:17Speaker 15: That.
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: Yeah and by the, way we've talked about this on
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: the air a lot of times, before And i'm telling,
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: YOU i think this is a really good idea for
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: a lot of different restaurant brands that have been around a.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: While is It Pizza? Hut it Is Pizza, Hut, yeah
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: exactly what it. Is It's florida's only Pizza hut. Classic
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: it has the nostalgic red plastic, cups the vinyl, booths
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: The tiffany style, lamps and the checkerboard tablecloths of the.
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: Eighties and it's become so popular that employees from other
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: locations have been brought in to help accommodate the influx of.
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: Guests it's In Homa Sasa, springs which is over there
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: on the west. Coast oh, well not that far away at.
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: All matter of, fact don't you do stand up over?
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: THERE i did do stand up. There the home Of
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: sassa is a Wild, yeah, yeah pretty. Cool, well they're
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: filled with love in their. Heart, yeah.
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: Is that what it?
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: Is?
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah so much love in their. Heart. Yeah it
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: says we have we have a big, responsibility it. Says
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: it says they operate eighty two din in pizza huts
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: across the, world across the. Nation we always want to
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: provide great, service but we also want to provide a great.
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: Product but when you put them under the. Spotlight they
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: started the classic initiative around twenty, Seventeen SO i guess
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: there's more than one of. These, well if it's a home, assassa,
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: dude there's a coin flip chance that this place just
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: never stopped. Workings it wasn't, rentric it's not rent for a.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: PERSON i don't think this place ever actually really went
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: out of. Fashion it said they approached a couple of
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: the franchises and, said, hey, look we're thinking about doing this.
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: Retro look do you guys want to? Participate the guy
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: who owned the one in home asas and, said, yeah
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: let's do. It and then they started doing it and
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: it has been unbelievably, popular like unbelievably, Popular like people
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: all day want to go and experience that nostalgia throwback
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: to experience. That and the only other RESTAURANT i know
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: that's tried this is, McDonald's but they haven't done it
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: inside because back in the, day if it's the one
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: ON I, drive it's got the big. Arch yeah, yeah,
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: yeah the world's biggest. McDonald's at least it, was well that.
- 1:35:12Speaker 2: One but there's wonder it's the retro because the old
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: McDonald's were really. Small they were just drive. THROUGHS i
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: don't even think there was dining originally would go over the,
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: buildings would go over the building on both, sides so
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: that's like that was a retro, look but the inside
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: of the restaurant was still just the moderaten, McDonald's the
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: same old. McDonald's But wendy's could do This. Wendy's when
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: you just go To wendy's back in the, day the,
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: tables remember they were like old, newspapers, right and you
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: had all you. Had you had some nostalgia With wendy's
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: that they could easily throw, back And wendy's had to catch.
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: Up pump nobody had. That they also had the. Solarium
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: do you guys remember that this thing with? Glass, yeah
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: well they tried it All. Dondy's they boosed it up
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: the salad, bar and then they got rid of that
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: little bousta. Bar then they did, breakfast and they didn't
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: new that little slarium bubble glass. Bubble that's definitely what
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: nineteen eighty five thought twenty twenty six was gonna look.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: Like And steak And chake kind of had never left, that.
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: Right steak And chake really designs all of the restaurants
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: to kind of make it look like a fifties diner feel, Right,
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: Yes so they can't even do the retro. Thing what
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: are some others when they could do that where it
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: Would Burger? King but what would they?
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: Do i'm trying to remember WHAT i think, AGAIN i
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: think they still look the.
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: SAME i. DON'T i don't Think Burger king has ever.
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: CHANGED i thought you. Enough that's one of the big
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: initiatives with the new company now is to modernize the.
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: Stores they think that's what's gonna help help them compete.
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: AGAIN i Love steak And chickens because it's still. Stuck
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: it's exactly what it didn't.
- 1:36:41Speaker 14: Do.
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: It don't look at me. DIFFERENT i got this guy
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: with a tear dropped hat with a little cute chef.
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: Hat it's kept that little last that little i'll check
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: your oil. Hat, yeah, yeah The i'll check your oil.
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: Hat but then like yeah when the interaction, though was
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: so anti nineteen. Fifty BUT i, think what the the concept,
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: HERE i believe is, brilliant. Right and here's the. Thing
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: there are so many restaurant brands that you love from
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: back in the day that just couldn't make it. Nationally
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: maybe they, overexpanded you, know maybe maybe they just had food, problems.
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: Whatever BUT i believe that if you did one offs
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: and made it like a destination, thing rather than have
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: like four of them one city and throw it back
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: like A steak in ale Ur bennegans remember, Those, YES i,
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: mean if you built one of those and threw it,
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: BACK i think that that nostalgia would really bring customers,
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: in AND i think it would last a little bit
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: because everybody kind of had that window Where steak And
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: ale is where you took your date when you really
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: wanted to. Showcase and Now steak and a would be
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: like going To. Chili's, well we just came out with
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: Another Spider man, movie SO i don't see why doing
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: this again wouldn't. Work, yeah but people like, nostalgia BUT
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: i don't believe you could do many. LOCATIONS i believe
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: whatever brand you choose to, do you just basically do
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: that one store and just make people make a reservation
- 1:37:56Speaker 2: to experience, it like if as if it was an,
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: attraction like an Old, Denny's, Wow danny's mm. Mmmm you,
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: guys remember that the fund stone. Thing my wife knows
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: the entire, song but that's the once she. Makes some
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: thinks she's. CRAZY i don't want to throw every single
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: entity underneath the, Bus but like those, times those times
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: are gone because one of the reasons why is the
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: reason WHY i say that is the service behind, it
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: is that it's a it's a different. Time you have
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: a different cast of, employees you have a different perception
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: for those. Jobs but the time is. Gone you're, right
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: one hundred percent ross the time is. Gone but that
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: doesn't mean that it can't come, back because that happens
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: all the. Time in fashion and, design we always kind
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: of go back to earlier decades to kind of not
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: sure just because there's no new. Ideas, LIKE i, agree
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: but most people haven't experienced, That like you never experienced
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: well maybe you, did did you experience the, old old
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: school pizza. HUTS i did at the very tail. End
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: it's one of my beginning memories and it was. AWESOME
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: i remember the red, cups little Misspac man Pac man
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: table off in the. Corner and parents are always looking
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: for a way to connect with their. KIDS i think
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: it would be kind of cool when you take somebody
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: like my kids love it when we go back to
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: my hometown AND i showed them STUFF i did as a.
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: Kid they think that's the most amazing, thing like THAT
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: i used to go, HERE i used to go. There
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: they think it's kind of. Cool AND i think that
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: there could be part of, that like not a connection,
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: thing like you're not gonna save your family's life by
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: going to pizza. Hut BUT i do think it's a way, to,
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: like you, know for kids like to connect and parents
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: to connect with their kids by, saying, hey you, know
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: WHEN i was your, age this is WHAT i used to.
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: Do there's just they are definitely leaning into the nostalgia.
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: Factor but it's more than just pizza. Hut it's that.
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: Time it's dinner with the family before everyone was looking at.
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: Screens it's it's that, time that's that time together that
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: they're trying, TO i, think play off of and maybe
- 1:39:48Speaker 4: make something.
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: Else BUT i gotta tell you you're onto something because
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: in the context of the. Story and, wait by the,
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: way if you guys want to check the story, out
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: it is A Fox news, story you can actually see
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: it right. There they the managers talk about that very
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: things THAT i don't know what it is about the.
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: Store but you don't see kids or families on their
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: phones at the store because they're kind of taking in
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: everything that, they you, know as they're listening to their
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: mom and dad, say, oh you ice to come. Here on,
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: DATES i used to play the sit down Pac Man,
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: machine OR i would get you, KNOW pepsi or Doctor
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: pepper in these, glasses OR i would get the shake
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: Red pepper and the Shake parmegan. Cheese because they.
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: Made A faturday cage and they can't get cell, service
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: No Wi, fi.
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: That's probably what they. Did they build A faraday cage
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: in them as won't pay attention to. You, yeah you,
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: know that nostalgic word is so interesting to me because
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: it ebbs and. Flows what's nostalgic to some is not
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: nostalgic to. Others so then a new generation might fall
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: in love with that older generations nostalgic, thing but not
- 1:40:46Speaker 2: for nostalgic. Reasons, ironically, yeah and ironically they just go, like, damn,
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: dude these cups are big and? Red why why is
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: it it like that? Everywhere SO i do like, nostalgia
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: and it's always cool when young people go, like, oh
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: this is pretty.
- 1:40:59Speaker 4: Cool i've always wanted to eat in a place Like
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: Jack Rabbit, slims a restaurant from pulp fiction with the
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: rotating center of, it and but you sit in the
- 1:41:10Speaker 4: car boots and. Stuff it just didn't they try to
- 1:41:12Speaker 4: do that At. Universal wasn't there a place for they
- 1:41:15Speaker 4: Have Mels? Diner but but, no, NO i think there
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: was a different, place, yeah that you could go and.
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: Sit maybe it wasn't, there but there was a PLACE
- 1:41:21Speaker 2: i went where you actually sat and what was like

- 1:54:02Speaker 2: Fast we talked about the best, bite some of the
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: best bites of fast food for. Me number one best
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: bite of food is That italian uh nugget from, McDonald's
- 1:54:13Speaker 2: the one that is in the shape of a. Boot
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: OH i haven't seen that. One oh, dude it's been
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: around Since i've been. Born Really. Italian what do you
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: know what he's talking, about?
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: Y'all, no because once you bite, it you're eating a McDonald's. Nugget,
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: yeah it is a.
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: McDonald's, nugget but you have to understand it's the shape
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: that also delivers some more flavor and. Taste the first
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: bite of a well made quarter pounder is not a bad,
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: Experience oh, yeah if you get a little bit of,
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: everything the, pickle the, ketchup the. Mustard and that's why
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: maybe it's the second bite because YOU'RE i think it's
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: more likely you get everything same with a big. Mac
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: here's the. THING i like the second bite of a
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: burger more because now in the MIDDLE i, KNOW i
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: get like a little, edge like now there's like a
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: mouth sized little hugger right there on the left and,
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: right and that's my next second and third. Bite Ye
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: LIKE i get to insert the burger in instead of
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: just like anaconduct and you like having that burger. Inserted.
- 1:55:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: Yeah the other one, too is like when you get
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: a chicken breast From Popeye spicy that you actually take
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: the breast and you pinch with the skin on the
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: breast into the breast meat and pill out like and
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: then pull out a chunk a brass meat that's wrapped

- 1:56:05Speaker 4: YEAH i disagree with that.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: Wholeheartedly my favorite part of almost anything is like at
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: the bottom of an order Of steak And jake, fries
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: you get those crispy bits that stayed in the friar
- 1:56:14Speaker 2: for like a day or. Two those sticks are. Irreplaceable
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: i'm fine with the crispy, bits but there is a.
- 1:56:19Speaker 2: Balance this is another worst bite of fast food when

- 1:56:52Speaker 2: RIGHT i would contend one of the best bites of fast.
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: Food is This when you go To Tijuana flats and
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: you order chips in, caso sometimes when they fry those,
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: chips they'll stick. Together you'll get a chip that's like four. Chips,
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: yeah and it's caught extra of that salt and pepper
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: thing that they put on. Them that in their caso
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: one of the best in. Town that is a great
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: experience right. There oh my, God i'm getting. Hate there's
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: a butt fry lover on the texting. Service. Listen i'm

- 1:57:49Speaker 2: food and fast food is the only one that can
- 1:57:51Speaker 2: produce this unique custom to our soul language Of remember
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: the first time when someone dipped a fry into a

- 1:58:36Speaker 2: more mag ivory with our mask food throughout the, years
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: to the point that on this last week's, episode Jim
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: My stoneer best friend Mister, ronado he dropped a nuke
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: on me for how he eats His chick fil a. Sandwiches,

- 1:59:37Speaker 2: like you would, syrup and then it captures the sauce

- 2:07:34Speaker 4: fish and tartar, sauce SO i could try. It but
- 2:07:38Speaker 4: If i'm look staring at a McDonald's, menu there's six
- 2:07:41Speaker 4: other THINGS i.

- 2:07:48Speaker 2: yeah dude THAT i used to love that because they
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: like the shredded, lettuce the, tomato and the mayonnaise with
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: that chicken was really really good WHEN i was a.
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: Kid that's ALL i ate For Burger game for a,
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: while and that chicken patty was always peppered blacks o
- 2:07:59Speaker 2: old in your, like oh yeah, yeah oh yeah, Yeah Hey,
- 2:08:03Speaker 2: jack your life is about to be miserable for a
- 2:08:05Speaker 2: little while it already. Is did you hear what's? Happening?
- 2:08:09Speaker 4: No oh, wait, no you told, Me but this is
- 2:08:11Speaker 4: going to need to affect, me, Please. Kelly it Is Seminole.
- 2:08:15Speaker 2: County the stretch of four thirty four that runs Through
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: Winter springs is about to get a massive. Upgrade so
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: there's gonna be construction all up and down that road
- 2:08:22Speaker 2: for how many? Years oh my? God? Really one point six?
- 2:08:29Speaker 2: Million actually ten point four million. Dollars it's gonna be
- 2:08:33Speaker 2: funded by early twenty twenty, eight so and new traffic, signals,
- 2:08:38Speaker 2: Roundabouts they're widening the, roads. Sidewalks i'm all that stuffing for.
- 2:08:42Speaker 19: It you know.
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: What it's all happening right.
- 2:08:43Speaker 4: There put in some real bike lanes And i'll be
- 2:08:45Speaker 4: happy because half this stretch doesn't even have bike.
- 2:08:48Speaker 2: Lanes it' says pedestrian safety as a priority in the.
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: Proposal they're gonna put sidewalk curve ramps to meet Current
- 2:08:54Speaker 2: americans with disability. Acts they're gonna have wider, sidewalks additional
- 2:08:58Speaker 2: enhancements are gonna be signals throughout the corridor so it's
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: easier to. See AND i going to tell you that
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: stretch of. ROAD i know it's weird talking about that
- 2:09:04Speaker 2: because people listen to us from all, over BUT i
- 2:09:06Speaker 2: think everybody has one of these little stretch of roads
- 2:09:09Speaker 2: in their, communities and that one is like extremely, busy,
- 2:09:12Speaker 2: busy and it hasn't been upgraded or enhanced for a.
- 2:09:15Speaker 2: While it has.
- 2:09:16Speaker 4: Not it was The it was forty five miles an,
- 2:09:19Speaker 4: hour and it even went to fifty for many a
- 2:09:22Speaker 4: little stretch for the longest time and then about a
- 2:09:25Speaker 4: year or two ago they suddenly dropped it to forty
- 2:09:28Speaker 4: and down the thirty five in some, areas and so
- 2:09:31Speaker 4: they reduced the. Speed WHEN i moved there in ninety,
- 2:09:34Speaker 4: nine there was a stretch tickets a little that goes
- 2:09:39Speaker 4: into the four, seventeen the Green way that runs into.
- 2:09:42Speaker 4: Town that was a two lane road that they were
- 2:09:45Speaker 4: just expanding WHEN i moved. In so it's grown a.
- 2:09:49Speaker 4: Lot they've apartment, complexes and there's new stores coming. In
- 2:09:54Speaker 4: they've developed a lot.
- 2:09:56Speaker 2: And down by where that shopping plaza, is down by
- 2:09:58Speaker 2: a four or by a central wines that place. Is
- 2:10:01Speaker 2: SO i think they're going to retrograde that. Back but
- 2:10:02Speaker 2: it's about a three mile or about a little over
- 2:10:04Speaker 2: a two mile stretch of road they're doing. THIS i
- 2:10:06Speaker 2: know it's from seventeen ninety two, down so it's definitely
- 2:10:09Speaker 2: going to back back there right. By but the cool
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: thing is they're doing this with they're doing it with rehabbed,
- 2:10:15Speaker 2: asphalt in other, words asphalt that they pulled from other
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: jobs that they referbed by either regrinding it up and
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: adding more asphalt to, it so they're reusing the.
- 2:10:24Speaker 4: Asphalt so that's actually kind of a cool thing as.
- 2:10:26Speaker 4: WELL i think that's a fantastic. Idea Is i'm not
- 2:10:29Speaker 4: aware of any downside to, that but it seems like
- 2:10:32Speaker 4: a smart. Way, yeah, yeah one hundred percent to scrag. It,
- 2:10:35Speaker 4: YEAH i guess for a couple of, Years i'll be
- 2:10:37Speaker 4: taking the back way out of the. Neighborhood, yeh. Yeh
- 2:10:39Speaker 4: that's going to say. That the cool thing is you
- 2:10:40Speaker 4: do have some ways out of there where you don't
- 2:10:41Speaker 4: have to go to that. Road it's a bit of
- 2:10:43Speaker 4: a pain in the.
- 2:10:43Speaker 2: Ass so there's. That that is the main, road SO
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: i only have one other. Option. Yeah and the other
- 2:10:49Speaker 2: thing is they released this list every year of the
- 2:10:52Speaker 2: most dangerous states to drive, in in other, words the
- 2:10:55Speaker 2: states that have the most fate fatal. Crashes, yeah and
- 2:10:58Speaker 2: there is there Is do you remember this from last?
- 2:11:01Speaker 2: Year do you remember the anomaly last year of this?
- 2:11:03Speaker 2: List we did, not But florida did not make the.
- 2:11:08Speaker 2: List but what's really there is something very bizarre about this.
- 2:11:13Speaker 2: List one, one, two, three, four, five, Six seven of
- 2:11:19Speaker 2: the states have something in. Common they're on the west, Coast,
- 2:11:22Speaker 2: no they're on the east. Coast, no they're in The South,
- 2:11:26Speaker 2: Mississippi South, Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, kentucky And louisiana are
- 2:11:32Speaker 2: on the. List, LITERALLY i mean that's almost the Entire.
- 2:11:36Speaker 2: South why is?
- 2:11:38Speaker 15: That?
- 2:11:38Speaker 2: Why by the, way say.
- 2:11:40Speaker 4: It you're getting stared by popov is staring you, down,
- 2:11:47Speaker 4: Boy just say it's.
- 2:11:49Speaker 2: Right, there, callum it's in front of. Us we're just
- 2:11:52Speaker 2: gonna dance around it like a. Seance i'm gonna need
- 2:11:56Speaker 2: you to say. That i'm gonna need you to say
- 2:11:58Speaker 2: what you're thinking right now because you're a horrified to say.
- 2:12:00Speaker 14: It because they're not that.
- 2:12:02Speaker 2: Smart.
- 2:12:02Speaker 22: Dude oh my, god that's what does smart have to
- 2:12:06Speaker 22: do with? Driving because people are LIKE i can make, It,
- 2:12:10Speaker 22: YEAH i got. It they can't do the rolling.
- 2:12:16Speaker 2: Math, yeah here's watch. This, yeah, dude there's a whole
- 2:12:21Speaker 2: bunch of guys Name scooter's GOING i got. It you
- 2:12:23Speaker 2: think there's a whole lot of hold my beer in this,
- 2:12:25Speaker 2: list there's a lot of hold my beer on trying
- 2:12:28Speaker 2: to cross the. Street. Yeah mississippi three hundred or seven,
- 2:12:31Speaker 2: hundred seven hundred and thirty two fatal crashes was a
- 2:12:35Speaker 2: four percent increase from twenty twenty. Two in this state
- 2:12:38Speaker 2: recorded seven o, Three so it Goes, Mississippi, Wyoming New,
- 2:12:42Speaker 2: Mexico South, Carolina, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Montana, Kentucky. Louisiana and
- 2:12:48Speaker 2: the thing that is weird about like you, know Briand
- 2:12:50Speaker 2: jack will tell, you Like New. MEXICO i, mean, Dude
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: for one, thing the infrastructure Of New mexico is. Amazing
- 2:12:55Speaker 2: the roads THAT i drove on were simply. Crazy and
- 2:12:57Speaker 2: there's not any nobody's, There like how you getting a
- 2:13:00Speaker 2: Wrect no one lives. There that's about. Yourself wyoming's the same,
- 2:13:04Speaker 2: way like nobody's, there how are you? Crashing montana's that
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: called big. Sky they don't even mention the. State they
- 2:13:13Speaker 2: don't even mention the, state talk about the sky above.
- 2:13:15Speaker 2: It you don't talk about the land at. All it's
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: That Austin power's death when the guy goes, anah he
- 2:13:22Speaker 2: just keeps slowly getting. Closer, YEAH i And i'd say,
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: THAT i know that's just the, stereotype but you are.
- 2:13:28Speaker 2: Correct that is oozing with curiosity and interest on why
- 2:13:33Speaker 2: seven of the ten most dangerous places to drive a
- 2:13:36Speaker 2: car are in The. South AND i, Mean massachusetts is
- 2:13:39Speaker 2: the safest, place and you would Think New york is after,
- 2:13:43Speaker 2: That Rhode, Island, Jersey, hawaii all of those are the
- 2:13:46Speaker 2: safest places In america to. Drive and you, look you
- 2:13:49Speaker 2: would think Because i've driven Through New. YORK i rode
- 2:13:51Speaker 2: With jack And New. York jack Knows New, york and
- 2:13:53Speaker 2: it was a. Nightmare, Yeah like it's a nightmare driving
- 2:13:56Speaker 2: in that. City you're also going, slow, right, yeah but
- 2:13:59Speaker 2: you're also being detour it every five seconds Because New
- 2:14:01Speaker 2: york never stops, building but there's always roads shut. Down
- 2:14:05Speaker 2: this is about, fatality not. Traffic, yeah, yeah it's about, fatality,
- 2:14:08Speaker 2: Right so like it's hard to get you, know in
- 2:14:10Speaker 2: a fatal car accident In New York, city you know
- 2:14:14Speaker 2: what the crazy thing is that's gotta be?
- 2:14:16Speaker 4: It like this is the that the was one down
- 2:14:18Speaker 4: the block for me WHEN i was there Last, oh
- 2:14:20Speaker 4: there's a lot of, People so this is.
- 2:14:21Speaker 2: It this is A yahoo, story, Right so this is
- 2:14:23Speaker 2: not like a you, know A cnn OR msn Or fox.
- 2:14:26Speaker 2: Story so there's no political lean here at. All but
- 2:14:29Speaker 2: in the context of this, story wouldn't you find it
- 2:14:31Speaker 2: like if anybody wrote this, Story like IF i wrote
- 2:14:34Speaker 2: this story AND i was, Like i'm gonna do a
- 2:14:35Speaker 2: story on the most dangerous places to drive In, America
- 2:14:39Speaker 2: AND i looked at this list after kind of compiling
- 2:14:41Speaker 2: the data and thinking to, myself, wow that's. Crazy nobody
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: mentions the fact that seven seventy percent of this list
- 2:14:48Speaker 2: is in one contained. Area that's not even brought up
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: in this, story, like it's not even it's not even
- 2:14:54Speaker 2: a it's not even a question like and here's. Why
- 2:14:57Speaker 2: if you'll, notice like half the places you die in
- 2:14:59Speaker 2: a car are in The, south nobody mentions. It, well
- 2:15:02Speaker 2: another thing about The south is also they are there
- 2:15:05Speaker 2: are affluent. Areas i'm not trying to generalize or head
- 2:15:08Speaker 2: to anything with a broad. STROKE i already did that
- 2:15:10Speaker 2: on this, segment but it's also in a lot of
- 2:15:14Speaker 2: parts of it are in. Poverty, correct The south is
- 2:15:17Speaker 2: always Looking sippy's the poorest state in the, NATION i
- 2:15:19Speaker 2: believe right. BEHIND i would think that maybe those stats
- 2:15:24Speaker 2: are correlated of just your overall money, in money out
- 2:15:29Speaker 2: when it comes to your, state because that's you just
- 2:15:31Speaker 2: rattled off some of the poorest STATES i think also
- 2:15:34Speaker 2: in the. Country they also say that the rankings measure
- 2:15:36Speaker 2: fatal crash is relative to. Populations so in other, words
- 2:15:40Speaker 2: what they're saying is is like based on their, population
- 2:15:43Speaker 2: more people die than have fewer chances of, dying AND
- 2:15:47Speaker 2: i think that makes it. WORSE i think that actually
- 2:15:50Speaker 2: makes it. Worse so maybe they don't wear seat belts
- 2:15:53Speaker 2: in The. South maybe they're a little bit, more maybe
- 2:15:55Speaker 2: a little bit. MORE i think you just nailed, it.
- 2:15:57Speaker 2: Dude maybe that's. It maybe they just don't feel like
- 2:15:59Speaker 2: they need their seat belt because in The, south that's
- 2:16:01Speaker 2: like you ain't telling me to wear you know. What
- 2:16:06Speaker 2: one of my favorite little time machine viral videos that
- 2:16:09Speaker 2: pops up on my phone every now and then is
- 2:16:11Speaker 2: when they are interviewing people in The. SOUTH i think
- 2:16:14Speaker 2: it's in the late, eighties early, nineties maybe when click
- 2:16:18Speaker 2: it or ticket basically first gets enforced and they and
- 2:16:22Speaker 2: the interviews of everybody talking about how pissed they are
- 2:16:26Speaker 2: about their rights being taken. Away AND i am not
- 2:16:28Speaker 2: making this. Up you could copy and. Paste it WAS covid. Talk. Yah,
- 2:16:33Speaker 2: yeah you can't come in and take money like it
- 2:16:35Speaker 2: was a lot of that vibe and that same. Energy so,
- 2:16:39Speaker 2: honestly that's the best GUESS i think we've gotten so. Far,
- 2:16:42Speaker 2: yeah it's serious Piss he goes ross up from The.
- 2:16:45Speaker 2: South MY iq is one thirty one AND i live In,
- 2:16:47Speaker 2: mississippi but he spelled Iq. Rome there are plenty of
- 2:16:54Speaker 2: smart people that come from The. SOUTH i just everyone
- 2:16:56Speaker 2: knows about that stereotype when it comes to The. South,
- 2:16:59Speaker 2: YEAH i, mean you can def In mississippi all you,
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: want but we have the. DATA i, MEAN i mean we.
- 2:17:03Speaker 2: KNOW i mean it's like one of the, fattest one
- 2:17:05Speaker 2: of the most, unhealthy one of the, poorest one of
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: the least educated states in the. Nation so there's. All
- 2:17:10Speaker 2: i'm not making that. Up i'm not trying to be
- 2:17:11Speaker 2: addict To. MISSISSIPPI i got family, there but it's just the. Truth,
- 2:17:15Speaker 2: now if they don't, Drive, yeah, yea that is. Wild
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: my father will maybe half that stat what a good. Find,
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: yes it's fascinating that seven out of the ten is
- 2:17:25Speaker 2: in The. South is The, South AND i gotta tell,
- 2:17:27Speaker 2: YOU i think the list when it came, out before
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: we talked about, it we also kind of marveled at
- 2:17:30Speaker 2: the fact that it had a high number of states
- 2:17:33Speaker 2: in The. SOUTH i, mean what isn't the thirteen colonies like?
- 2:17:35Speaker 2: THAT i, mean all we're missing Is virginia and The
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: carolinas In. Georgia other than, that that's The. South. KENTUCKY
- 2:17:43Speaker 2: i think Is kentucky on. THERE i don't. KNOW i
- 2:17:46Speaker 2: don't think you said. It, Yeah kentucky's number. Eight all, so,
- 2:17:50Speaker 2: yeah we all you're missing from this. List to have
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: the Complete south Is, Virginia, georgia and The, carolinas and
- 2:17:57Speaker 2: you would have that that you would have every every
- 2:17:59Speaker 2: in The, south right all, Right so you got me, going,
- 2:18:03Speaker 2: DUDE i had to look this. UP i had to find.
- 2:18:05Speaker 2: Something i've got some pretty good guesses on why The
- 2:18:07Speaker 2: south might be causing way more fatal car Actsent, Okay
- 2:18:11Speaker 2: so the first thing that you have is that the
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: one TIME i was In, GEORGIA i THOUGHT i was
- 2:18:15Speaker 2: gonna die BECAUSE i was on a dirt. Road, yeah
- 2:18:17Speaker 2: and it was up in northern Rural. Georgia Hiawassee, georgia
- 2:18:21Speaker 2: and it was one of the scariest. Things there are
- 2:18:23Speaker 2: a lot more rural. Roads there are a lot more rural. Roads,
- 2:18:27Speaker 2: also In, georgia you have one of the most aggressive
- 2:18:29Speaker 2: state trooper programs. There so people In georgia don't speed
- 2:18:32Speaker 2: very much because they will pull your ass over and
- 2:18:34Speaker 2: give you a ticket for two miles an. Hour it's. Legend, Yeah. Georgia,
- 2:18:38Speaker 2: look they need movies about, it About Georgia state troopers
- 2:18:41Speaker 2: being pains in the, Ass ding Ding ding ten points
- 2:18:43Speaker 2: For griffin Or jim nailed. It when it comes to
- 2:18:47Speaker 2: tickets for seat, belts seat belts in The south don't
- 2:18:51Speaker 2: go really hand in. Hand they actually clicked. That they
- 2:18:54Speaker 2: click it and then sit in behind it or sit
- 2:18:56Speaker 2: in front of. It in other, words they click the
- 2:18:58Speaker 2: seat belt and then sit on top of the seat belt.
- 2:19:00Speaker 2: THEM i would say the Big nobody's not gonna sling
- 2:19:03Speaker 2: me through a. Windshield don't tread, on.
- 2:19:10Speaker 5: Thank.
- 2:19:10Speaker 2: You it's also longer driving distances in The, south so
- 2:19:19Speaker 2: like if you are in a rule, part you usually
- 2:19:23Speaker 2: have about a ten or fifteen minute drive on the, road,
- 2:19:26Speaker 2: longer more chances right hour hour two right. There so
- 2:19:29Speaker 2: that would probably be the biggest. Reason and they enjoy.
- 2:19:33Speaker 2: DRINKING i love to taste steering wheel four seven nine
- 2:19:41Speaker 2: ONE o four. One you can always text us at
- 2:19:42Speaker 2: seven seven zero three. One take little, break we will come,
- 2:19:44Speaker 2: back we'll do the purge and we'll get the hell
- 2:19:46Speaker 2: out of.
- 2:19:46Speaker 1: Here it's time for a talkback perge.

- 2:20:03Speaker 2: tea a good and what WAS i gonna say for,

- 2:20:11Speaker 1: REMEMBER i stuck Watching Spider Man, homecoming.
- 2:20:16Speaker 17: Never seen it.
- 2:20:17Speaker 2: Before actually a pretty good. Movie Danny whosan's have a
- 2:20:21Speaker 2: good sholl.
- 2:20:22Speaker 17: Y'all in the early, NINETIES i was a paramedic And
- 2:20:27Speaker 17: Camp challenge used to do The Haunted woods out there
- 2:20:30Speaker 17: In Lake, county and one night the cast had an
- 2:20:32Speaker 17: after party and one of them went out liquored up
- 2:20:37Speaker 17: and drove out onto forty six and ran head on
- 2:20:39Speaker 17: into another.
- 2:20:40Speaker 2: Car it was a fatal.
- 2:20:41Speaker 17: ACCIDENT i was assigned to his. Vehicle he was doa
- 2:20:46Speaker 17: but what was creepy had all his gool. Makeup, still
- 2:20:50Speaker 17: it was.
- 2:20:50Speaker 21: Wild when my kids were a little scared the hell
- 2:20:56Speaker 21: out of them because they went to open the window at.
- 2:20:59Speaker 2: NIGHT i, said don't open that. Window all that dark
- 2:21:03Speaker 2: will fall in and fill up the.
- 2:21:05Speaker 18: House they never did it.
- 2:21:07Speaker 15: Again my wife used to be the person that threw
- 2:21:13Speaker 15: the birthday parties for kids at. McDonald's when it was all,
- 2:21:17Speaker 15: DONE i would go in and clean up and make
- 2:21:20Speaker 15: sure that the aluminium ash trays had been put back
- 2:21:23Speaker 15: on the.
- 2:21:24Speaker 17: Table, Yeah Fred durist was responsible for a lot of that.
- 2:21:29Speaker 13: Stuff but.
- 2:21:31Speaker 18: It also didn't help that when The Red Hot Chili peppers,
- 2:21:34Speaker 18: played they were told to also try to calm the.
