Transcript
- 0:05[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome in, welcome in, it is Friday morning, potentially something that's coming here.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty soon, Eric, I appreciate you for that.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_03]: Now, we're earlier actually to book some of my alarm for restarting that, 630, I'm like, wait a second.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_03]: Not yet.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_03]: But let's soon, I guess we're breaking news there, but appreciate everyone coming in.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: It is a special rendition of Broncos for breakfast on this fine Friday morning.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_03]: I am Nick Kendall joined by Eric Trickle.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_03]: Eric, you lost power.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_03]: We had a little bit of technical difficulties to start, but luckily we're here now.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: Good to see you.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you can tell my voice is a little sorted out.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_03]: Kid was up coughing.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_03]: He's covered in snots.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know if it was me yelling at the game yesterday or a cold or a little bit of both, but we're here.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I gotta say I'm really mad at myself and maybe I'm a coffee a little too weak.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: Full pot is too weak.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: So off to a start like the Broncos offense.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, as you said, it I'm doing pretty good.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: Power went out last night.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: We've been dealing with that for last few weeks.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it was because it wasn't, you know, a major outage like it had been last week that we're dealing with it.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: So something more localized, not sure what caused it.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: and then it was great waking up to a bunch of snow on the ground.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: So that was fun as well with getting the car starter for the wife when she gets ready for work.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so my morning has been, you know, just as yours has been and just how the Broncos offense has been, it has not been the best start.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: But seven wins in a row.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos, the best record in the NFL dubs in the chat, eight and two, and man, what a deep.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, the Raiders offensive lines, paid a full.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_03]: They traded away their best wide receiver, but that was after the first.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_03]: two or three drives.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_03]: They said, nah, uh, and shout out to that whole unit shout out to Vance Joseph.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I know that Raiders team is not a juggernaut offensively there.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_03]: They're underrated defensively.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we didn't do a preview show, otherwise we would have it's easy to say now, Nick.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think they're came into the game 13th in defensive DBOA.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_03]: So they've been actually okay defensively, but shout out to the Broncos defense.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_03]: Vance Joseph, the whole unit, I mean, I think you can go through almost every single player and say, yeah, good game.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_03]: There's a few players here, Drake Greenlaw, here and there, I think Gentie had him a couple times, Singleton, but man, the past rush was unbelievable.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_03]: And what's really unbelievable is that was a defense without the best back seven player in the NFL.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_03]: And they, after that Raiders Gentie touchdown where the Raiders were, another game where
- 2:36[SPEAKER_03]: They put the clamps on seven points, shout out to the defense.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know it also say take the ball away more I guess, but that's the only thing I can come up with.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, and this wasn't a game like in previous weeks where they had those opportunities literally hit them in the hands, right?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: Did I get that one in reception by Tilman that bounced off of genty's hands, which again, I said this last, his last in reception, I'm just going to say it again, start again, Tilman in on some offensive packages, because he is so fun to watch with the ball in his hands.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: Kick or turner.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Just there we go.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: We need something more on special.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: They're using bigger bodies there now, right?
- 3:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: But anyways, this defense, it was phenomenal.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: you can be phenomenal as they were and still have those opportunities that were missed by the Raiders offense, which there were a few of them rather got beat deep in the ball dot throne and that probably was a touch on there was another one that was would have been the first down that would have put them in field goal range where there was a missed opportunity.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: So those happened but those happened in every single game.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: And Broncos managed to overcome it and
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: and really shut them down.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: They got to genosmith six times.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: They limited rock powers to one catch, granted it was one, they limited my comirers to a, I think two catches for like 22 yards or something like that.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: basically their biggest weapon was Tyler Lockett who they just managed to get going because they kept sneaking them in through the coverage is a little bit through the play design.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: So they managed to get him going.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: They limited Ash and Jenty to like, I think like, free in the 3.3 yards per carry or something like that.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: And for this defense, and again, we've talked, you've mentioned it before.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: I've mentioned it before.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: You can only play what's in front of you.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, the Raiders are beat up on their offensive line, but you still got to go out there.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: You still got to go out and execute and do well.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: And this defense lights out.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I stand by it and tell an old hook on the remains.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: The best for agent signing because even without patches or tan.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: He gives you another piece that he's another straw that serves the drink with his defense with all the ways that Bencho has been able to utilize him and just keeps that secondary playing at a high level without Sertan and why when we get Sertan back and when we had him, this defense was even better than we've seen over the last couple of weeks without him.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_03]: I know we've been tough on Alex single ten and he's not like a great linebacker, but I think since week three he's leveled off to a like adequate play and level, which you're not going to have a defense that's just full stack full of probalers and every once a while he's in the isolated, but like if he's something you are pissing and moaning about like constantly you're probably doing okay, like really good teams can like just Jonathan Taylor on a drag route, find me the linebacker covering that so he's been again.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_03]: NPC, Jag, but like if you're going to have it anywhere, it's either a lineback or a safety, probably.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I think also it's been good to see green.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_03]: He brings a violence and an edge that this team along with the Fonga really lack last season, despite how good they were.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I personally love it because it's our team, but like after the game, people are already like, oh man, Sean Payton, bounty gate 2.0, this Broncos team is so dirty, late hits, chiefs fans,
- 5:58[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to, I sub-sun, it's going to be a rock fight because a little bit of the Broncos offense is playing right now.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_03]: There's no other way they can win.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: This hides a rock fight, but the defense has been up to the challenge.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: So shout out to them.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_03]: I know you wanted to say something about Alex Singleton.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: I just, I know he gets, and I've been, somebody, well, he's been, he was terrible throughout the year.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's, you know, very mediocre, but that's, that's okay for me right now.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all is going to say is like, I was one of those that I've been really harsh on him.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't say week three.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would say about week five, week six is when he really started to turn around and start playing a little bit better.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I also when I go back and watch the Broncos are doing a little bit differently on the back end primarily with Brendan Jones and cover for some of those issues that Alex single didn't bring to you, which is fine, if Alex singleton is the worst player on your defense and you found a way to hide some of his issues, it works and the Broncos are showing that so.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: they can manage with Alex Singleton being out there and with him and I will say the one thing that isn't that they're not doing a cover.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: They're covering the coverage.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: They're not covering them against the run and that is an area where he has really improved from those first four or five six weeks on the season where he's just hitting the right lane more consistently and I think that part of that was when they brought in Talino who found good they changed the run fills up front
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: And that created some confusion for both him and Justin Sernad.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: And that was, and it just took some adapting and getting used to it.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that was part of the issues with him working downhill.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: But he's overcome it and he's been playing out a little bit better.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: And again, if he's the weakest link on your defense, you can live with it.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely, a lot of people on the chat.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously a smaller chat today.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: So click the thumbs up, like, share, do all that good stuff because we're off sync with our show being on a Friday morning and reacting to another Broncos win falling right rising to eight and two and probably the biggest game since.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_03]: a playoff game last season on the horizon against Kansas City and you have a little bit of breathing room built in with your schedule and the chiefs losing some games.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_03]: Let's just call it one score game luck on both sides both teams.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: But that's that's the NFL sometimes, right?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: You got to take advantage.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody should apologize for that the ball bounce in your way and go in against your opponent's way.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_03]: Just as what it is, that's it's why it's the best league.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_03]: Victor Rio's good to see a good morning guys awesome to see a Victor appreciate you coming in on this fine Friday.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_03]: We got Jason Purin a member.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: Shout out to our members.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you says good morning all good morning to you.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_03]: William in the house still trying to figure out what how it our offense.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_03]: Look that bad last night.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: Eric and I have before the show made a conscientious effort not to start with the offense or special teams like we did last week against Houston.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get into the offense soon, but yeah, it was a.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad I wasn't listening to the broadcast, because I think Al Michael's probably would have hurt my feelings, could know in how he just doesn't give up, you know what anymore, and how angry he was at the Broncos cults Thursday night football game back in 2022, 2023, whatever the 12th and 9 over time one that was like an affront to God.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_03]: William also the play called Sean did on the third and one to give to son, I've no clue what that was.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that was just getting cute and maybe a little desperate.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_03]: I start the clown music.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think they're sides because there's when you play in the toilet, everybody gets shit all over them and that's what the Broncos often says that right now.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_03]: But if it comes to like Bonax versus Sean Payton, I feel like every time I've gone back and watched the game again, guys are open in the progression based on the defense and the quarterbacks, not making the throw or hitting the throw.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_03]: So I think it's more of a quarterback problem right now, but this one specifically, what
- 9:51[SPEAKER_03]: My God, that's, don't love it.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: There are a handful of things every single game that you can sit there and lay at the feet of Sean Payton.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: This play call was one of them.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: You were actually running the ball pretty well up to that point and certain one and you decided to get too cute in a moment out of desperation, or whatever it was, there was absolutely no need for that.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: And on that note, another problem that you can lay at his feet was the six run calls in the first half.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like I've talked about it before.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: If you're going to run, we talk about it with quarterbacks all the time.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: You got to get him in rhythm.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: Same's kind of true for the running game as well.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: You got to get the offense of wine to the rhythm.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: You got to get the running back into the rhythm.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: You got to keep burning the ball because eventually.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to break a little bit, but Sean Peyton time and time again, he gets one or two, he calls one or two runs that go for nothing or only like one yard and he goes away from it almost entirely.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the biggest affront to this with his play calling was after the blocked punt.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: They ran the ball once, which was a quarterback power.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: that shouldn't have been ran.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: It should have, I don't know, you know, bonix, maybe they finally took away the ability for bonix to kill plays because I only heard him kill like one or two plays against the Raiders last night.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: But with what the Raiders lined up for, that place should have been killed for whatever reason.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: It was very clear.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: They were going to run to the runoff the left tackle with either the quarterback of the running back.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: That part wasn't clear.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: And the Raiders were ready for it.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then he passed on 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd and 2nd
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: uh play a couple weeks ago on like 13 like it's just a sign up at that point of like giving up essentially which is part of what bothers me so much with this QC play call.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_03]: I mean when your offense in quarterback are struggling like that and your defense is playing as well as it is I understand one into kind of maybe going to a shell a little bit you know still may like they're going to blank first and this is just me being you know gas lit by watching eye-o-fapal for so many years and somehow they'd
- 12:14[SPEAKER_03]: This was an Iowa football game at the end of the day.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: First game, I think my dad texted me this day.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody in the chat can correct me if they've seen this one.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: But the first game since 1974, that both teams had more penalties than first downs, which is...
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's what the product was yesterday.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_03]: And again, shout out to the Broncos defense.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_03]: I want to get into it.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_03]: But we want to say a little more people in the chat.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_03]: Coming in here, we got a super chat, Diego.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: Bam, bam, bam, bam.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much, Diego, with the $5 super chat.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_03]: And the bonus holding money profile pictures says, bonuses in the making have been awful.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: Also, is this guy ever going to learn to set his feet and make accurate throws?
- 12:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what's going on there.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's really frustrating to watch.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_03]: And again, like some of the decisions and like bailing on the pocket and everything, but like he's not executing the bare fundamentals right now.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: And like I understand like, for since week one, we can dial back the conversation.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_03]: There's a time in place where yes, you want to, you need to do the short stop making a play a double play ball kind of throw off platform different arms slot.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_03]: But it cannot be the basis of your drop-back pass game.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: It needs to be calm, smooth, easy, you want to glide in the pocket.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: And again, as I'm the gold standard for that is Tom Brady, Peyton Manning.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: Both doesn't have to be those guys.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_03]: But right now, it looks like he's never had a quarterback coach in his life.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't understand what the heck is going on with his lower body mechanics.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he needs to hang out with Jake Plummer before the game and do it.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_03]: Jake Plummer enjoys enjoyed doing because right now looks like he's snorting espresso in every single huddle, but it's it's frustrating and I will say again, I said it on Twitter and again, with Bonix, you guys know like I'm I'm a doubter as far as like this, especially the MVP talk laughable Bonix being a guaranteed franchise quarterback so far, Jerry still out for me, but
- 14:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think this was a game that the Raiders had a good game plan.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_03]: They have an underrated defense, and it was a Thursday night game against an additional opponent.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: You found a way to win, that matters.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: We can call it for what it is.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_03]: Bonax was bad, but Patrick Mahomes was last bad last week too.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: I don't always like when people do that because the overall sample Patrick Mahomes is a freaking god and the overall sample for Bonax.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_03]: He's not so wide as Patrick Mahomes, he had the benefit of the doubt.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_03]: Let's look at the evidence.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_03]: But overall, one game,
- 14:43[SPEAKER_03]: They can come back into chiefs next week.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_03]: Move the football, bonics, looks great.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: All will be somewhat resolved.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_03]: The results will still have been the results, but I'm willing to flush it personally if we see better play going forward, but it is a trend so far this season.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: The issue I have with that is at one point do we stop with the excuses for it?
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like against New York Jets, they went out and stuck the bed well, it's in London.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: Then the New York Giants game outside for three quarters, absolutely stuck the bed well, they're traveling back from London.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: the Philadelphia Eagles game for three quarters, absolutely stuck it up offensively.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they're traveling to the East Coast and then they got a travel to London.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: At some point, that has to stop.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it's now.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: It is a thing of, you know, it is a short week.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: It is a viable excuse.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Just as the other ones, it's a viable excuse.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: But at some point, he's got to put up his big, put on his big boy pants and stop stink it up when you have these viable excuses for it.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's a short week.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's against the Raiders.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: Every quarterbacks going to have some of those is going to have some bad games, but it can't be every single time the Broncos are going on the road or they're doing a lot of traveling where it's a short week.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: It can't be every single time that that's the case where that's the excuse that
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: terrible game from Bonax.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: He looked lost even on simple concepts that Sean Peyton was calling for him.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: He looked confused with what to do with it.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: On going back to after that block punt on the second down, the Raiders dropped eight players in the coverage and it was like Bonax had never seen that before.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: These are things that even on a short week, even with the viable excuses that we can give Bonax,
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully whatever it takes, it gets figured out and it gets figured out pretty damn soon because at some point you got to take that step back and be like, you're not cutting it for this offense.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: You are being part of the problem.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: You are holding this offense back.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: The first interception is another example of that.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: So at one point is better than crush us punts.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'll come back.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'll come back when we get to the special names.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'll talk on that because on two of those punts it looked like the wind affected the drop of the ball for his putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting putting put
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: They own it.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: They don't get those same excuses, even though they have the same viable excuses available to them.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, to me, I think in a one game sample, you can point to potential reasons that the play was bad, but when it's the sample that we've gathered to this point, we're beyond reason.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: It is just outright excuses and guess what, if you're a franchise quarterback for a super
- 17:50[SPEAKER_03]: He hasn't fully fallen on the sword in the press conferences, but he has said the offense is not playing well enough.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: The only person who's really fallen on the sword is J.K. Dobbins.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: So shout out to him, probably the best sound bite every single week in the locker room, standing up for the fans who are booing them.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I get it, I get it, the Broncos are eight and two, but also the fans aren't.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: stupid right like this is not a sustainable level of play from the offense and also the special teams and also the defense but it's really frustrating right now but there was frustrating games in 2015 you had the super offense 2013 getting boot in the Jacksonville game or was a Tennessee one of those two games are getting boot off the field at halftime the fans know not a good enough product
- 18:41[SPEAKER_03]: frustrating to watch.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: There's no doubt James Todd $10 super chat.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much James.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully you guys are doing okay with my kind of little gravely voice today.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: You can tell it's a little bit out there said what the bleep has happened to bone access here is crazy regression here in the fact that we have the best record in the league means it's only going to get highlighted more wild stuff right now.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know so much if it is like bonet, I mean some of it is bonet's regression because he's not hitting throws that he was last year, but also I'm wondering if it's some of it's The books a little bit more out on him now and he has very simple Concepts that Sean Peyton calls for him because they cannot operate full field drop back pass game Your playbooks really limited when you can't do that and again like what's the one like personal excuse excuse me that he has white receivers pass catchers are bottom 10 and a league
- 19:33[SPEAKER_03]: probably but it's a top five offensive line.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's a top five defense.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: I think, again, say what you will, the Broncos offense would probably be, bottom three in the league, not for Sean Payton in the breadzone designs that we had this season.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_03]: So, I don't know.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's frustrating.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's not good enough right now.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully the time off.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_03]: I know I heard John Payton's going to give him the next three days off.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: See him back Monday.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Get away from the facility.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: There's no snow out here in Colorado right now.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'm from whatever the snow packs and those skiing, but just get away.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's too much right now.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe take up meditation.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_03]: Smoke pot.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I'm allowed to say that, but he's just he's so wired up right now He just needs to calm down Breathe in exercise goose roba, whatever you want us ohm Breed sedartha, I don't know, but it's it's it's it's two live wire right now It's almost like he's not having fun anymore Like it's almost like for this is that this is a nine to five job briefcase job where you don't really like it
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: and you just gotta go and undo it just so you can, you know, take care of the family.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: When I watch his demeanor in press conferences, that's what the vibe that he gives off.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't seem to be enjoying it.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: So something, if that is the case, I don't want to put words in his mouth and say, that is just saying that is what it seems like to me.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to, if that is the case, he's got to figure out something to find that love of the game back because one
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't question how much love for the game that Bo and Nick's had last year.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: You got to figure out some for it, and that could help with his confidence.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: That can help with the decision making that could potentially help with getting the footwork improved to back at least to what it was last year.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: The placement back to what it was last year.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_01]: And cut out the whole look throws.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Even the touchdown Detroit Franklin was a no look throw for no reason in quite luck.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: Quite lucky that that was caught.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't a great throw.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm with you, take these next three days, take a break from football.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: Don't even watch it.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Stay off social media.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if you have any social media accounts.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: Just take a step back, take a break, meditate, go skiing, go do something.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Just get away, disconnect, and rejuvenate your body in your mind without, you know, the outside noise.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, frustrating.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: No doubt.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's not all on Bonix again when you play in the toilet.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's going to be covered in you know what, but it's it's frustrating.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_03]: And because despite the Broncos being eaten to and the chief said what five and four, I would be shocked if Vegas doesn't have the Broncos as an underdog and this came at home next week, but I got to say we do love an underdog.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, speaking of underdogs football season is in full swing.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: And underdog is the best place to get in on all the action.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: Are you ready to get off the bench and into the game?
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: Then head over to underdog where whether you're into basketball, football, hockey, or any sport in between.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: Underdog is the best place to get in on all the action all season long.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's right, plan on underdog is easy.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher and lower on their stats, such as rushing yards, receptions, touchdowns, and much, much more.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_03]: Get your picks right and you can win up to 5,000 times your cash.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, people have so much fun playing Underdog and winning money will watch in football.

- 23:38[SPEAKER_03]: Chath, underdog, Chath, the Todd Austin Dorf, good to see you.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_03]: Good morning, Broncos Country.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: William asks what happened to Quinn.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_03]: He was sick by thinking he did enter back in the game.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_03]: So you should be okay.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he had a Nick Gaia.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'll try to keep an open mind, but then I go back and watch it.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like,
- 24:19[SPEAKER_03]: quarterbacks, not throw in the football or throw in it accurately.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think that designs are fine, especially the run designs.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think are pretty good in the red zone designs.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, again, I come back to like, you would have significantly less touchdowns.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like, how I don't know if there's anybody besides maybe the chiefs that get as many wide open red zone looks.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: And this was a game.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, this might be the worst Broncos red zone game to season going one for three, but
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: I just, I don't, I don't jive with that, and it's the whole, like, again, I'm afraid to even out of the words because people get mad at me, Eric, but, uh, Tim Tibo, like the, the unleash conversation, like why don't you just do, go tempo, let them throw it down the yard, do the do the RPO, it's like,
- 25:00[SPEAKER_03]: That's probably a reason that he's not doing that, the same reason the Broncos didn't just let Tibo drop back and fling it around and play backyard football the entire time, especially when you have a defense like this like right now Sean Peyton the offense is not doing well, but I feel like he's managing the heck out of the games with what he has roster wise.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_03]: You have a great defense you're going to be in a lot of games unless you're offense outright gives it away and that's to the Broncos credit they didn't outright give this one away like put giving up a
- 25:29[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, a pick six or a thumble in back of the engine like that's giving the game away.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's calling plays like, you, you know, type visiting the offense that way.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_03]: They don't outright lose the game for the defense and with how they're playing.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_03]: I can't blame him for that.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's tough because they're again, there are issues that you can put on Sean Payton, but is it to the point where he gives up play calling?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, it hasn't been that bad.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that you can find a happy medium with using tempo.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: And just not even like full up tempo because when people say up tempo, a lot of people will immediately think, you know, Chip Kelly's get to line quickly, get the ball snap quickly.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: You can go that soft, that medium tempo where you're getting up to the line and then you're letting the play run out, you're making your adjustments at the line, just a medium tempo.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, that's what the Broncos have done a lot with BoNix later in games this season.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: And we've seen him do well.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe when, you know, offenses out of thing, maybe do that for a drive.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: You can go in and out a temple.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like once you choose to go a temple, you have to stay in it.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: That is one thing where I think that Sean Payton could do a little bit better at and give up on his whole double edged sword thing because, you know, it can tie out your offense a little bit, but it can also tie out their defense and open up more explosive play opportunities for your offense, which is really what this offense has basically looked by with how inconsistent they've been on a down to down basis.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: So those things that he can do, but it's not he
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: The offense is handcuffed, not because Sean Peyton wants to handcuff the offense.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's handcuffed because he's forced to handcuff the offense.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: With this defense, you don't want to completely waste it and have your offense go out there and give games away as you were talking about to consider that the blow place, the blow drives.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: You just want to just try to get enough out of this offense to where you're not losing games.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: And again, that isn't because by choice, that isn't
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: You can go back and watch Sean Peyton for years ever since 2006 when he became a head of coach that isn't the way he calls games he does not call games to lose games never has until now
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: But that is because of what he's getting from on the offensive.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's not on all on bone eggs, but a lot of it is when you can't operate a true drop-back pass in game, when you have to sit there and stick with RPOs and screens as not only extensions of the run game, but to get the ball into your playmaker's hands and try to get them to go make plays, because you can't rely on bone eggs consistently downfield, even 10 yards plus downfield.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to put those handcuffs in those guard rails in place.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: So you're not losing games and trying to get the bare minimum out of this offense, and you know receiver dropping passes.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's not great.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: Some blown blocks by the tight ends through five plays in the first half.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: And like the first three drives were at him, trauma and alone was the was at fault for the freaking blown play.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: But so it's not all on Bonyx, but again, a lot of it falls on him because he is that one person that touches the ball every single snap and he is the one person every single passing play where he is deciding what to go with the ball.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: And there are receivers getting open that he is skipping over in his progressions and he isn't even looking at and then he's deciding to throw it into deep down field where he has been able to connect basically arm funding the ball on second down that leads to an intersection.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_03]: Frustrating, but he got Mark Smith coming in here says, can we please use more tight ends?
- 28:55[SPEAKER_03]: Eric, I know that you, and I'm with you Adam Travman is not a good player, but the Broncos are more effective when he's on the field because of what him being on the field does to the Portland defenses.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_03]: They play like base where they're playing in Grum like a wide receiver and I'm going to be honest.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_03]: He looks a little cooked speed wise.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: He does not move like what we're hoping right now.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, I'm to the point, Eric, where probably it'll be following the by week because we didn't seem to get on the IR, but I want to see Ingram effectively become the third tight end and I want to see more troutman and atkins just because of what it forces the opposing defense to do.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll see going for it.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_03]: Just to ingram talk about how good dovin's has been excited to see what green luck and do more more.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_03]: Hafanga's been arguably the best.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_03]: Second best for season signing in football.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'd have to go through all the teams.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_03]: I can't put them over Daniel Jones, but they ain't our own probably to the quarterbacks always.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's a quarterback game.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm here for more tight end usage.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_03]: And I miss Atkins, a good bit.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_03]: Lando, good to see you ugly when.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be for giving me the chiefs absolutely.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_03]: David says horrible play calling to bow playing anxious and erratic just praying that the long week, opportunity to rest, take a long look in the mirror and the trick play pathetic electric play.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't even know.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty rough.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_03]: Tyler Brooks, can we say the Denver team isn't whether battle tested, the last night showed, playoff needed to be the wins made at the difference last night.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_03]: I was at the game.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think the wins were that crazy.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: They died down a good bit before the game actually started on.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: They were some, but I was sitting pretty high up, but I've been to windy games before.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_03]: I would not say that was actually that windy.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: I know that again, we talked, you mentioned Krasha's bad punts, which they were on two of them.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: The wind did look like it affected it just because with when the ball's dropping and then you see it start to shift as it before it's his foot.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's the wind affecting that drop a little bit, which led to two of those shanked punts.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't excuse the other bad punts that he had.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so it was a factor, but I don't think it was as big of a factor, especially later in the game, because you know, they showed the flags on the field goal posts and there was about midway through the second quarter, they showed it and they were pretty tame so I don't think it would the winds were as big of a factor outside, especially outside of the first quarter in this game as a lot of people made it out to be.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and got Mark coming to civilian nixport play last night on the online.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_03]: can't do effectively the human or constantly getting pressured.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: All I need to get it together period.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of metrics have the Broncos pass blocking offensive line as one of the worst info ball, but they were.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_03]: It was one of their worst games last night.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: I thought I think Missy at PFF has here.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: They had bonus bonus under pressure, 43.3% of the time, where he was kept clean of 56.7.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_03]: When he was under pressure, he was freaking abysmal.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_03]: Both of his
- 31:50[SPEAKER_03]: Interceptions only 16 yards on 12 attempts on those pressure dropbacks, but I would say overall the offensive line pass protection is a little bit down the list for me on on that one.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the offensive line was bad in the context that the Raiders are bad at getting pressure on quarterbacks.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: They are among one of the worst teams for, they were bad in that aspect.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: However, this was still a decent game.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: It was right about, I guess, the third most precious that they allowed on it.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: So again, bad game, and I'm bad with the context that they with who they were playing.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: But they were multiple pressures.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: And there was one, there's like three plays that specifically stand out where Mike McGlunchy was actually handling his holding up business against Max Crosby.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: And for no reason, Bonaix decides to go run out right into the path of where Bona McGlunchy's blocking Crosby or even has him stone walled, where Crosby's been able to just disengage because if McGlunchy holds on, then he's going to get called for holding because it's now changing the direction.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: with lead to holding there's there's a handful of plays and there was one that stood out where Bonex ended up having to throw it away.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: when he could have just climbed in the pocket because the interior did a great job of holding up and I think this was one of the better plays from Throck Morton and Wattonburg specifically, and you had, I want to say it was Pat Bryant coming open over the middle, but for no reason, Bonyx felt pressure and got out of there.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: So it's one of those things we saw this a lot with Russell Wilson and it's not, I will give, say this, Bonyx isn't doing it as often as Russell Wilson did.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: but he is still doing it enough to where the offense of blinds not all at fault for this, boneaches is putting some pressures on himself.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: Again, that doesn't change in fact, this was a rough game for the offensive blind, but on the season as a whole, this offense of blind has been at least a top ten unit and I would say that they've been a top five in past protection.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_03]: And I want to give justice to Mark McDonald here, um, the offensive line on the whole.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'm totally, again, and with you, but against Mark, sorry, I'm, I appreciate you about the offensive line being a problem on the whole.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: But in this game, just to give him credit to what his eyes were telling him, the off the Broncos gave up pressure on 43.3% of Bonix's dropbacks.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_03]: If that was the number for the entire season, which obviously not, but that would be the league leading under pressure percentage of DropX.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_03]: You have Justin Fields at 42.9 and Justin Herbert at 41.3.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_03]: Poor Herbert.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_03]: What can he do?
- 34:31[SPEAKER_03]: Just crazy offensive line there.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_03]: But no, yeah, offensive line.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_03]: When you were out of the league leading under pressure rate for DropX.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_03]: So that game, good call up by Mark there on that one.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like I was at the game and I'll need to
- 34:48[SPEAKER_03]: being in the Raptors didn't get to watch everything like I normally do from the the broadcast slash coaches film trench view but this was a gaming offensive line didn't play better so that's a that's a good call out as well good to see I wanted to also shout out again mark for the super chat appreciate you so much coming in we highlighted the tight end one but but that also didn't just give you the love for the super chat so we appreciate you over on Facebook Miguel Sanchez even coming in here good to see why can't a team clean up penalties and drop passes sheet this far into the season you shouldn't be playing like this it's the penalties
- 35:17[SPEAKER_03]: Offences, the offense at this point.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we're going down with a ship called Bonix, the Titanic right if we hit the iceberg, we're all going down, Sean Peyton, Bonix, they're married.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: It is what it is and we can, you know, P and M all we want about it, but, you know, we're, we're along for the right there.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully you're in first class.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: So you get on the light boat, but.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_03]: For me, it's the penalties and the special teams.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: Like that seems like it should be correctable and Jesus, it's been just almost every game.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: Luckily in this one, the raiders at the end, salvage the Broncos to not lose the penalties and this one, same amount, both had 11, but the raiders had slightly more yards.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_03]: So shout out to the raiders for that one, but Broncos special teams, I would say, probably a draw as well.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe even the slight left is they had the blocked kick and the misfuel goal as well.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe Denver did win, but not to their own volition.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: I'll give it that way.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's very frustrating.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_03]: The also for the drop passes.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you've seen the stats.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_03]: I tweeted it out here.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: But the Troy Franklin Bonix deep connection is on pace to be the worst in NFL history with the volume of it.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_03]: And the stats shout out to,
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: fantasy account in heart tits.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: He says a tweeted out yesterday.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_03]: Bonix and Troy Frank then I've connected on two of 24 targets thrown 30 plus yards down the field.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: We're sketchrated in the NFL by far.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's a big sample for 30 plus.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, there's not even that many games.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_03]: You're not throwing at 30 yards, but three times a game, five times a game, two for 24.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: That's just, what it's, it's on Bonix, it's on Troy Franklin, I just, not even close, man.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's a, it's a failed play at this point.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: You might as well spike the ball.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it, it's rough.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it's one of those things where that, you know, Sean, Peyton, he loves to take those shots and you're just going to be able to do the intermediate past game.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: But like, yeah, you need to, yeah.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: And when you have your hit,
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: When you have your offense as handcuffed as it is as a result of things, again, you need to be able to hit those deep shots because you need those explosive place to make up for the, you know, for lack of a better way to put it, the Dink and Dunk offense that you have here with the RPOs and the quick screens.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: So you need those explosive plays and Bo Nix.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen a few flashes of hitting those shots, but he has been just pretty consistently, like a yard or two off.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's just barely been outside of the reach for him.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: And so like Troy Franklin, he's still not showing the best deep ball tracking and there was one play against the Raiders last night where he just didn't seem to track the ball very well.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: Granite Nix was a little bit late on the throw as well, but just,
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: Franklin just stopped and just waited for the ball and didn't fight for it and didn't adjust to it with with the ball is landing and that was just awful and then you had the the flexion office hands where you know on that play I do not think Troy Franklin was a target.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was 100% Pat Bryan and you can tell that by the concept for it.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: It was a adaptation of a scissors concept where Troy Franklin was to clear out and pull the coverage back and you hit Pat Bryan over the middle and with the timing of throw, Bonax is throwing that right after Pat Bryan gets out of his break and he just sails it.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: That is a issue of, you know, that, the interception is partially on Bonix's fault for, you know, not placing that third to high, but Troy Franklin with his reaction to it was very obvious that he was not expecting that ball to come his way, he was not expecting that ball to be there and that's another issue that he has that's, you know, partially leading with these issues with the deep connections with Bonix.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: just doesn't seem to have that awareness in the instant to make those adjustments needed to have the sense that the ball is coming as way and he can be late to get his hands up to go for the catch.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_03]: To be fair, didn't he have that crazy two point conversion in the back of the end zone versus the eagle that was deflected?
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so one sample.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_03]: But the one for me that I was just like you got to be bleeping kidding me was the I think it was a screen but quick pass where he ran
- 39:32[SPEAKER_03]: I was like what in that that's like given the controller to your little brother who doesn't know what they're doing and they're like, oh, I'll push it this way.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: He ran into the blocked defender.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that one is I that was.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_03]: The Madden has to drop as awareness by 20 and the next update.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know what the heck was going on there.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_03]: I was one of those ones were I had to rub my eyes like what the heck are they what are you doing.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: on that note trying to show field complete bust of assigning so far special teams has been terrible and his blocking on offense has been terrible there was a reason why pretty quickly Pat Bryant took over that role in offense shout out a little bit and surefield was awful on that play like he just couldn't stone he just couldn't you know shade the defender outside of the pathway of the thing but Troy Franklin's awareness on that to run into the defender like make a quick cut get outside that block and then turn it into a track race
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: or just go straight up field and pick up what you can.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: Don't try to do in between the two and run into the blocked defender to where the defender can make a play.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: I feel bad because my reaction to that play actually scared the kid.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: because I was so pissed.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_01]: That was such an annoying play.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: That is a play that not even a mistake, that not even high school level players make.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's how bad of a mistake toy Franklin made on that play.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: And it was so infuriating and it just highlights the inconsistencies of it.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: And while I'm on Troy Franklin, I had somebody come and mention to me a couple of weeks of that, you got to live with the drops of Troy Franklin.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: because of the big place he gives you, no, you don't.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: And my site made it clear why you don't, because that was a drop that led to the interception.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it's plays like that.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Drops open the door for, you know, those are the function interceptions.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: You cannot live with them.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: That is something that you got to be corrected with.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: And Troy Franklin hasn't.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's been good.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's been solid.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: But let's be real there.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: There is a reason why the Broncos were in on Jalen model at the trade deadline.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_03]: Oh man, yeah, let's run through these super chats because you guys deserve a little bit of highlight here.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_03]: We love you.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: Brad says tons of pressure crazy wind.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: I was there.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: I would not say it was crazy wind, but it died down.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_03]: A different looks.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm played bad.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: They did not play the run blocking was better, but yeah, it was not their best game.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_03]: Drop pass is bench Franklin and calm down.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: Bims are you healthy?
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's yeah, they have a not a good game from Franklin.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_03]: And they need somebody to, because right now, I saw bracketed coverage on Sutton the whole time.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_03]: Not that Sutton's like a bracket.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_03]: Coverage worthy wide receiver necessarily, but it goes to the disrespect of the other pass weapons.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: Or anything.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be take away this guy, they're screwed.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I guess so.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much, Brad, for the Super Chat.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_03]: And be in a member, shout out to $5 Super Chat.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_03]: We also got Jay Milzo Gaman coming in here.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_03]: So it's an art, Peyton seems supposed to be dismal on penalties.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: While on non-trade, it looks real bad right now.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_03]: You would have caught that second interception horrible.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about the second interception.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_03]: That was, again, Eric kind of touched on the concept.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_03]: All right, I think it was a bad throw that should have been catchable for the target where it wasn't.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean,
- 42:49[SPEAKER_03]: Again, like the water trade, maybe he's looking horrible because how bad Franklin was, but the quarterback's so bad, too, that like are even going to maximize that guy.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_03]: Broncos aren't a position I believe because, again, SYNC swim, we're bonix the next year and a half still, unless it's, you know, this bad consistently and maybe they pull it on him at this point next season.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_03]: I've, I hope, I don't be better than what we've seen the last two weeks and just the, the lows we've seen this season overall.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, it's, uh,
- 43:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's not looking good, but still got time to figure it out, right?
- 43:22[SPEAKER_03]: And they believe in him.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm hoping that they get away.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_03]: How good was he last year coming off the mini by as well, granted Kansas City to top 10 defense in football in Spagonal, I mean.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_03]: One of the top five defensive coordinators in football.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a tough one, but Denver's gonna have some time to do some serious soul searching on the offensive side of the ball.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_03]: It does seem though that they haven't gotten to the point where like the bangles are where they're doing ugly, post game interviews, directly pointing fingers.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: They're still a team, they got each other's back.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_03]: So hopefully they can get it better as far as the discipline goes.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think Peyton's team is historically have been pretty middle of the pack to slightly above average in penalties.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_03]: the cost of doing business with the man coverage defense.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's the procedural penalties that are absolutely mind-bottling.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_03]: But passenger clearance, defense of holding down the field, if you're gonna play man coverage, you're gonna have to live with some of that.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Sean Payton's teams have, they've been penalized quite a bit throughout, you know, his years as they have coach, but it's how they're being penalized, issue that's so frustrating.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's as you said, it's those pre-snap penalties is the formation penalties.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: Those are rather uncommon for Peyton ran offences, been a little bit more on the defense side of the ball for them that.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: And then with what you're saying, or the back after this season,
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: They got to figure something out.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, you know, this many by week, they're able to go in and pinpoint some things that they can sit there and turn around and improve.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're not, I know there's some people that are calling for Benching Bonyx.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_01]: I am not, even though I am very critical of his play and I'm very frustrated with how he played last night and how he's been playing pretty much all season long outside of a handful of quarters in two games against terrible defenses.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's still barring injury.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: He still gets the rest season and into next season.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: How long into next season?
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: because when you enter your three, that's when, for me, really, you know, the excuses stop, either you put up or you shut up at that point for me.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully they start putting it around because this defense,
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: is so good you don't want it to be wasted and this offense so far they're eight and two because of what this defense has been able to do and something you know there's some magical moments from the offense but you don't want to waste this defense for them so they bought them self time they bought them self time to figure it out and Sean Peyton again I'm very frustrated by the trick play as well and some of it but
- 45:54[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I at least with that trick play.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: It was laughable with how bad it was.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: The rest of this offense, it's not even funny.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, it's lost the humor at this point.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to start laughing, but like kind of no beer makes Homer go last, crying.
- 46:12[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_03]: The Troy Boer was both this limited offense last year and we did not see it or did something change.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: Also anyway, no Sean Payton runs Sean Payton calls and Bo check out of them.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_03]: So a lot of times, you will have two, especially like early downs, you'll have two play calls.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_03]: And if one of them will be, it'll be completely dependent on the defensive look whether it be box counter, what the safeties are showing.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: And if it's a heavy box, you throw the screen.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_03]: But quick out, whatever you want to call it, and if it's a lighter box, you have the right look, it's a run play.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's Team's in high school.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_03]: do that.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of teams in college do that as well.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: It's just completely how many guys in the box one, two, three, four, okay.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's a screen.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_03]: Denver might have to go away from that right now because
- 46:53[SPEAKER_03]: The grain of the screens, I was frustrated as they are.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_03]: They still tend to have a slight, I think they have a slightly higher success rate on the season than the run plays, just because the upside for a pass play and space is higher, but I think also you might be limiting some of your shop plays and play action by doing that, where if you are running successfully in the heavy box, you might be able to get some calculated deep shots, as long as you're not throwing it to Troy Franklin, I guess, with bone X, but that's just a very basic,
- 47:21[SPEAKER_03]: general concept that a lot of themes is not like a change of the line of scrimmage like patent-maning audible in it's a we have two plays everybody counts you can people can count right I know half the country doesn't read a six grade level but you can count to six eleven whatever six seven but yeah that's something I don't think it's a Sean Pay or a bonus audible in to stuff I don't think I've seen much of that some projection stuff but not much.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: the kill kill kills that that's the that's his call for changing the play at the line of skirmish and it is what it is what you're saying it's a two plays kill kill it's from the what the first play to the second play and from what I understand based on some conversations that I've had it's not so much what is looking like in the box but it's looking like with a coverage on the outside which that that that translates to what's in the box yeah and as well but it's more so focused on like do they have you know who's
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not necessarily, well, not necessarily.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's, do they have who they determine as a favorable matchup on the outside?
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: Is current matchup against X corner or is Troy sprinkling the matchup against X corner?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_01]: And typically one on one's, where's the safety hanging?
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what Bonax is reading off of.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: And as you said, it is typically, you know, you go in with the pass, play, you have a run play, kill, kill, kill, you're switching from one to the other.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: Primarily on first and second down, that's the case.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: And there's been a lot of that this season outside of this game.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: Going back and watching over it, I think I heard kill kill kill calls three maybe four times, which is why you know earlier when I was talking about it, you can lay blame, lay blame of the lack of running, especially in the first app at Payton's feet.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: Bonax wasn't changing out of those plays.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: He was calling hot, he was calling alerts, which is, is more past protection and, you know, receiver, not if receiver stuff, not so much changing the play.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: So, this case, that wasn't it, but prior to this game, it's been happening a lot.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: And going way back to the season opener, there was at least six of those on the first drive, where Bo and X was changing out of a run to a pass.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why the split was so crazy for that one.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: But there, I mean, you hope your quarterback in your past game could take advantage of box counts and the numbers.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_03]: Troy Boer, thank you so much.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: 10 dollar super.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: You're great.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: You're always one of the good ones.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate you, Brad.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: Again, coming in here, also how often do Punchers do them with the Raiders did last night, the rare pin inside of the one twice or whatever was it.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was a one and a two, maybe, but they had three inside the ten.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_03]: They also had a bad snap.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you missed hand a little bit, but didn't get pressure.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_03]: And then you had the block off of the Skinner's dome, chest, whatever it was.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_03]: So, uh, can't we've never didn't score it's touchdown.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_03]: The only points scored in the second half of this game was on a negative yardage drive.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: So, a shout out to the special teams on that one.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_03]: sometimes.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it was a that really did mess with the flow of the offense early on.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_03]: So that's something else.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_03]: You know, maybe talk about reasons versus excuses, Eric.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_03]: I'll we'll make we'll call it reasons for a one game sample.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_03]: And this one's viable potential reasons, but those two drives starting that low that one, I mean, Hunter get ready.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_03]: We're just trying to try and we're trying to give you some room here.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_03]: But
- 50:39[SPEAKER_03]: That's a very frustrating one and shout out to Brad and shout out to AJ Cole, really, really good puncher.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_03]: And thanks again, to Brad coming in early, can we talk about how great of a pickup a Fonga's been?
- 50:49[SPEAKER_03]: Denver has his very own poem.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's been unbelievable.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm hoping we need a pick six here, pretty soon, but what he does as far as the run game and the aggression coming downhill is phenomenal.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, how many plays he actually gets in there?
- 51:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I think a lot of him are him.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_03]: Abandoning coverage assignments because he's right at no granted, maybe at some point somebody's going to get him on it, but I think you live with it with how instinctual he's been and again at some point he's going to make a play, but a thong has been unbelievable he's been, I mean, just to the edge of the defense has changed completely.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: best for agent pick up by the Broncos and best non-corder back for agent pick up in the NFL.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's he's been that good and I talked about it earlier and I cannot seeing the prices of poofanga enough with it because again, you know, we talked about, you know, we both mentioned about how Patrick's plan is a straw that serves the drink with the Broncos the events will who finally gives him another straw to serve the drink.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: So even without Sertan, they're still able to do a lot of what they want to do because who funk's other.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, there are changes for it, but it's still more in a style what they want to do, so to have an adapt out of that style because you're missing that one piece.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: So he's been absolutely great, absolutely love to pick up.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: If only they can get more consistency out of Brandon Jones next to him with the way they're using him, then this safety duo could be elite.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: But until then, it's still a very good safety duo with who found that again, he's playing lights out, like, such a good player.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_03]: I will say, same journal probably also there, but because I said, I would add a quarterbacks outside of court.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_03]: I thought you just had Jones.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: Probably right.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: I can't think of anybody at the top of my head.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_03]: We got coach Chris $20 super says I'm so frustrated.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_03]: This offense needs to be simplified.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_03]: Sean is a
- 52:39[SPEAKER_03]: saw coming from her owners that both trying to learn to play with this feet moving.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 52:42[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think they're coaching them to do that.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_03]: I, uh, I don't know.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_03]: Um, you'd have to ask Davis Web quarterback coach and uh, Bonix.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_03]: What's going on?
- 52:52[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he did this set.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_03]: Auburn, I thought they kind of did pat it down some at Oregon.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_03]: Granted, there was a lot of snap turned in throw where he's not even
- 53:05[SPEAKER_03]: But in the NFL, I mean, at the end of the day, you're sealing in the off as an offense, as only as good as your drop-back pass game.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's the only way to unlock a lot of defenses.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_03]: So, I don't know what's going on again.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_03]: I keep saying it looks like he's snorting this breath so in the huddle of every snap, because he's just playing so fast, it's an out of control at that.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I don't know if you ever get like frantic or a manic Eric when you're like trying to do something, you're like,
- 53:30[SPEAKER_03]: But getting anxious about it, I try to get something done, and you make a mistake.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: Have you got me?
- 53:35[SPEAKER_03]: I have met you.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't want to point the finger too hard at you on that one, but sometimes steady is fast because you're not going to make a mistake.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: And right now, it feels like a whole process from how he's reading it to his lower body mechanics is just so sped up and frantic.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 53:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what's going on.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: I smell the lot of stuff in the air in the stadium and outside the stadium that's legal in Colorado at Babou, maybe just hang out with them.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have to partake.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what's going on, but just the vibes of the calm would be good for him because it is just 80s New York Stockroom style of play going on.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I want to say, Coach Ross, thank you again for the $20 subject.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate that.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to add, offense needs to be simplified.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how much more simply you can get than what they're doing.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_01]: Outside of eliminating all plays beyond 10 yards, there's not much more you can do.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_01]: Run the ball more.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think is what it is.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_03]: Take it out of the quarterbacks.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's the only thing I can think of.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: But even then, like, that's not necessarily making the offense more simple.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's taking off.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_01]: Making more straightforward.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: But it's a lot of easy reads and already it's half feel of read.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: You read the safety and that determines what side of the field you're going or RPO's or you know those quick slants the moving hot reads like it's already so simple for the passing game and bone extra struggling to hit it consistently and that I don't I don't know where you go from here because again
- 55:12[SPEAKER_01]: outside of making it all sub five yards.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_01]: You can't get more simple than what what they're doing.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's simple concepts, simple smash, simple scissors.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's very simple passing concepts that a lot of high school quarterbacks know how to go out there and execute, and Bonax is looking like he's never seen some of these before.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's for me it's.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's not even necessarily the play calls and the design, although, again, Bill and I pocket too soon, getting the check down too soon, it's the frickin fundamentals, like if for screw the play call, quarterback's got to have his feet better and in line and in time.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, it doesn't matter.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_03]: You know, the best play call ever, quarterback's going to miss the throw if you're playing with the erratic nature mechanically that we're seeing right now.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know what's going on.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_03]: uh... sports ecologist out there in the valley maybe we as just what's it don't need maybe bony to hug uh... we got Patrick i'll speak in a hug shout out the Patrick appreciate you blind coffee are you doing okay maybe maybe well what's i'm trying to think of the word yips yeah yeah that's maybe he has the yips
- 56:17[SPEAKER_03]: something.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't make any freaking sense.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, coming out of Oregon, I grant all one of the most accurate quarterbacks ever when we took away all the screen passes.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: He's still, you know, not having a drop.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he needs to be a static quarterback.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_03]: I know his athleticism is one of his pluses.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_03]: We're grasping at straws right now.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_03]: Same as the people saying the Denver has to go with tempo all the time.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_03]: You're your grasping at straws.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, because you're just hoping any change can work because we're married with the
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: We still have time to figure it out.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_03]: He has time to figure it out.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_03]: And Denver's at 8 and 2.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: They got him many by week.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: And we got Marcus coming in.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: Whether ugly or pretty right into baby, I like that.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen too many loose in season last 10 years to get upset about a win, go Broncos.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_03]: You bought yourself time.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think is the big thing.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody knows that the offense hasn't been good enough.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's not just the offense.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's the special teams and the penalties as well.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: Two of those need to get cleaned up.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise Denver is, I don't care what the record is.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_03]: They're a pretender overall.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_03]: Whether it be passing offense, penalties or special teams.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_03]: Two of the three need to be cleaned up or you're a super bulk pretender, I think.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_03]: Even in it sucks, because you'd be wasting a special defense, but gotta clean it up and they know that.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_03]: They see the film, they're not stupid.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_03]: orange glasses on in the building.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_03]: I bet you those meetings are rough.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_03]: But appreciate your Marcus good to see a Diego also comes in.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_03]: So what thoughts on Pat Brian?
- 57:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think he looks promising.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_03]: I think a lot of the targets that are going to Troy Franklin probably need to go to Pat Bryant personally, stronger hands.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if he's that I don't know what's usage are not.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_03]: Can he actually track the ball and make a play above the rim vertically, haven't really seen that so much, a lot of his plays have been much more horizontal plane or slants, but I think coming out of the by week.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_03]: Less Troy Franklin, maybe he's more horizontal plane stuff given how terrible they are vertically with him, and figuring out how to get the ball more in Pat Brian's hands just because I give less ceiling because he's obviously not as fast, but.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_03]: You just, right now, the Broncos are one of the worst down-down passing offenses in that football when you look at like success rate and stuff.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_03]: And Brian's, dare I say, been your most consistent, catch your when the ball's thrown his way?
- 58:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think he might be, it's small sample, but I think he might be.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: He may not be as fast, but I think he makes up for it with the angles that he takes.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_01]: And he's turned a couple of those, you know, quick hitters over the middle, those quick in routes and has turned them into 15, 20 plus yards at an after the catch.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he had one of those last night, just because he's smart with the angles.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_01]: And what are the things, I hate screens, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I would like to see a screen play to Bryant to where you can try to maximize his awareness with the angles and see if he can't make something happen, use that to make up for the speed that he just doesn't have, is that it just constantly relying on the speed of Troy Franklin when he has no idea how to angle defenders properly or even stack defenders properly.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: I would like to see more Pat Bryant.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_01]: He is a guy who, well, as during the, after the giant scheme I talked about this between the jets, uh, eagles and giant scheme, that three game stretch there, there were like five or six plays where Pat Bryant should have been in the progression and he was wide open and Bonix didn't even look his way.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's been getting open.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_01]: He just hasn't been getting targeted.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_01]: I would like to see him get a little bit more usage, whether it be purely by design of, hey, go out there and make this throw, provided that's what the reads suggest, like, you know, the pre-snap reads suggests, or whatever the case, he's found a way to make a pretty consistent impact with, you know, the exception of the giant scheme, which was his worst game by far as a blocker and he also had a bad drop, but he's been pretty consistent went out there on the field in those aspects.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: Again, minus that giant scheme.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_03]: Too much on the offense and it stinks because it's overshadowing just how good defensive has been shout out to Wazarek, maybe his first career sack on that one and Denver had Gino Smith limping around out there, took away the run, rock powers with one catch.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the defense was unbelievably, you can just go down the list every single player on the defense had a heck of a game Cooper, Tillman, Benito, Allen, John Franklin Myers, DJ Jones,
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_03]: Malcolm Rojo, Ozorika, and just start naming the defensive players.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_03]: They're playing unbelievable football.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_03]: I got a real test coming next week, but it's frustrating because the defense is doing what they're doing, but man, are the offense doing what they're doing, but man, the defense is playing so freaking good.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_03]: So we have to give them their love, the shout out here, and hopefully the offense will get it going here pretty soon.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they don't even have to be, you know, top 10.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_03]: Top 18 right now.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_03]: Let's like let's finish 15th in EPA in 20th in success rate.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_03]: If you can claim that there's penalties and special teams a little bit with this defense, you got a chance in any freaking game.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_03]: But right now, Denver's probably the
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_03]: Because there's been so good in the red zone, their EPAs, and they don't take sacks, and they've been not terrible at turnovers.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_03]: Their EPAs close to the mobile pack.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_03]: They've also had the easiest schedule for opposing defenses and NFL so far this season, according to DVOA.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_03]: Not the New England Patriots, even though it really likes to say that, and they're talking about Drake main.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's actually been the Broncos.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry to say that.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_03]: But, yeah, I cleaned up.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_03]: We can get there.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_03]: You can be anybody.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_03]: eight and two, you can buy yourself time, figure it out.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_03]: And there's plenty of times in 2012, 2013, or early on, 2013, 2015.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, this isn't a Super Bowl team.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_03]: Super Bowl teams have roles in bad stretches and figured out.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, everybody was writing the Eagles off to start off last season as well.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_03]: We'll figure out what they're made of.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_03]: How could the coaching staff is?
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_03]: We got some important games coming up.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's one thing that's nice for them is that they have plenty of time.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: They have one game and what, 23 days?
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was what it is.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: So plenty of time for them to really break down as offense and figure out stuff and maybe what Sean Peyton needs to do and you know, this kind of goes back to simplifying the offense.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he needs to not necessarily throw up the whole playbook, but sit down with Davis Web sit down with, you know, the main playmakers, Portland Sutton, Bonyx, JK Dobbins, you know, some of those guys maybe, you know, the all the receivers and tight ends, whatever, and go through and be like,
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_01]: be a little bit even more limiting with the playbook, but doing so in a way where these players have a voice in what they're running.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_01]: This is what we, what I can do.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_01]: I love this play.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: I can, I know how it works inside and out.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_01]: Keep it in there.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then some of the other useless stuff like the trick plays, which what the proud cause of ran four or five trick plays this season and not a single one of them's worked.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe one of them did.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember because they have the
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember if that one ended up working out or not, I'll stop my head, but the trick plays, it's time to set those aside.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: I love creativity, but there's a time in place and that time in place isn't when your offense isn't doing a terrible fight.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_01]: Something that they can, they need to do and seeing a couple of comments on this in just real quick.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_01]: Tyler Badey.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_01]: Man, time to be an active.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know how many times he's blocked this season?
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_01]: And this is going back to pre, you know, before this season started.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's a blocker, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's blocked twice this season.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_01]: Twice in past protection.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's running routes and he can't catch the ball.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_01]: At least Jelil McGlofflin is giving you a little bit more potential in the running game, what you need because RJ Harvey can't find consistency running the ball.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_03]: JK Dobbins, you're only hope.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_03]: Troy, $10 is going to look ahead of Surtan as back with Green Law plays more.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_03]: Can this defense slow down, Casey?
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think Surtan's going to be back personally, but you never know.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think we'll probably find out on one next Wednesday.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds like it's a 6040 that he won't be back.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't expect them to.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_03]: They seem designed to stop the offense.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_03]: My big thing for the defense next week and we got time to talk about it, because I got to drop off the Kated Daycare here.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_03]: And we're going over an hour with a special show.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_03]: But,
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_03]: Gosh, the less my track.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm the big thing I think is they need to do what they've done this season a lot and they need to punish my homes.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying dirty, but I'm saying he needs to leave this one not feeling the best.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_03]: Come out of the Bible, he's gonna be feeling good.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_03]: Get the prick after him, hit him, hit him hard.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_03]: Take maybe even, I'm not, this is, I'm gonna channel my internet, it keep to leave here.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_03]: There's a few penalties that are okay sometimes.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_03]: I know we've been a harping about penalties
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_01]: say it's going to be a long day, son, make sure he feels yeah, just got to be careful because they've certainly get a dirty reputation when it comes to quarterbacks after the shot hit.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_01]: And to be fair, the one hit that Zach Allen had on the fifth should have been roughing the passer.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_01]: That was late.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_01]: He took three steps of forehitting him plenty of time to pull up.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_01]: There's been some dirty calls about it.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_01]: So you may want to be a little bit careful about talking about punishing the homes, but you're 100% correct to the one.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_03]: You're good.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_03]: And this is my wife saying I got to go.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_03]: All right, guys, that's it.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_03]: She's right.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_03]: So shout out to her.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_03]: Shout out to the super chats coming in here.

- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_03]: Broncos right in two, baby.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_03]: Frustrating, but that's a bottom line, and first place in the F.C.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_03]: West.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_03]: So, shout out to the defense, offense, get your bleep together, kind of a compassion.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_03]: Go Broncos.
