- 0:23So you can be empowered and take back the most precious and important asset of your life, which is your health.
- 0:31Let's get ready.
- 0:32Comfortable and get started I'm trying something new.
- 0:41I am recording for YouTube as well as the podcast.
- 0:46So I uploaded a new episode telling you about the prepared patient podcast, what it is.
- 0:52And how we can help you.
- 0:54I navigate the medical space so that you learn the skills that you need to communicate with your doctor and get the results that you're looking for today.
- 1:03I want to talk to you about who I am me like how.
- 1:08I love doing this job, why I was chosen to do this job and how my journey started so I was medically trained or conventionally medically trained the practitioner.
- 1:20Did many, many years in.
- 1:23Emergency room and urgent care.
- 1:26And at the beginning of my journey, I loved it.
- 1:28I love helping people.
- 1:30And I'm able to get them stabilized and able to get them on the way.
- 1:34To either admit it or, make sure they follow up with the practitioners with the doctors.
- 1:41However.
- 1:42As I continued in this work I find myself being not satisfy unfulfilled.
- 1:48Because I realized all I was doing was giving people, medications, not really spending the quality time with them.
- 1:55Even when I do spend time with them, I will get.
- 1:58Reprimanded.
- 2:01By my boss.
- 2:03Well, Dr.
- 2:03Jensie you were in this room for so long.
- 2:06What took you so long?
- 2:07Why you spend all this time with the patient what's going on?
- 2:11We have so many people waiting for you.
- 2:13What's happening.
- 2:15Which I didn't like, of course, because I felt like people needed to hear.
- 2:20The right way or at least give him more information so they can have some clarity on some understanding what's going on with the bodies.
- 2:27Unfortunately, I wasn't given the opportunity to do so.
- 2:30So of course I did my job.
- 2:31I showed up to the emergency room.
- 2:33Wheelie running on, you know, dopamine like excited.
- 2:37Helping people, giving them the medications, one in all the tests to all the imaging consulted with other, specialists that will be doing my best.
- 2:47Again, going home in tears crying.
- 2:50Oh my God.
- 2:51Because many times I would give a patient a pill for one thing.
- 2:55And that patient will come back in the emergency room either with the side effects of that pill, or another thing is happening.
- 3:02For instance, I will give a patient a medication for.
- 3:06UNO track infection.
- 3:08And the patient ended up having a yeast infection.
- 3:11So I always wonder why, why, are these people not getting better?
- 3:14Why they're not healing.
- 3:16If the medications are designed to help people that's, that was my thought process.
- 3:20Then they shouldn't have any problem.
- 3:23Right.
- 3:23Like with diabetes, I would give them Metformin and then they'll come back with stomach issues or with Lipitor or medication for cholesterol, I would give them We have a Staton Lipitor or.
- 3:34Zocor any Staten at all, and then they'll come back with muscle issues or with the blood pressure medications, like one blood pressure medication was never enough.
- 3:44They ended up having in two, three, and then seeing all the cardiologists and then the kidneys weren't functioning.
- 3:50So there was so many things I did not like.
- 3:54They're in the conventional space, but at the same time, I didn't know.
- 3:57There was another type of medicine.
- 3:59I didn't know.
- 4:00Because I went to school to diagnose and treat patients.
- 4:04I did not go to school to learn about nutritional or how the body can heal itself or.
- 4:10Anything to that nature?
- 4:12So I did exactly what I was thought.
- 4:14Give a pill for the ill.
- 4:16If that medication didn't work.
- 4:18Try a different medication.
- 4:19So, and then my dad was diagnosed with cancer.
- 4:23And the way we were treated as a practitioner.
- 4:27I didn't like either.
- 4:29The doctor never had time for me when I had questions.
- 4:33And then I was afraid to ask questions.
- 4:35When I do ask questions.
- 4:37I'm getting the ugly look like, okay, like this is annoying.
- 4:41You ask him too many questions.
- 4:43I'm asking questions because I didn't understand the process.
- 4:46I didn't understand what we need to do or why my dad wasn't getting better with all the chemotherapy agent would all the medications that was that we implemented.
- 4:55So what is going on?
- 4:57I have a curious mind.
- 5:00I realized that early on in the age that I'm curious, I'm always trying to find that why, why is this thing happened in the way it's happening?
- 5:07How can we make it better?
- 5:08Can somebody explain to me what the situation is and in the solutions?
- 5:15And that's why I went to become a practitioner because if you have headaches, migraine, Symptoms.
- 5:21I want to know why.
- 5:23And you should also want to know why.
- 5:25So when I look at doctors, I look at us as medical investigator.
- 5:32We investigate what's going on.
- 5:35In people's body.
- 5:36We help them identify the underlying issue.
- 5:40But however, I was very disappointed because I was not thought the proper way to investigate.
- 5:47I was thought you know, to give pills, to give medications.
- 5:51Which was not fulfilling to me.
- 5:53So then unfortunately that didn't make it.
- 5:55And then I started my own journey.
- 5:57I myself had a lot of gut issues, a lot of fatigue, fibromyalgia.
- 6:04Scoliosis.
- 6:05Like skin issues.
- 6:06I was tired all the time.
- 6:08Even on my days off from the emergency room, I was still tired.
- 6:13Because.
- 6:14I had chronic fatigue.
- 6:15And I will consult with my colleagues.
- 6:18I will see my doctor and I was handed a medication and I will try the medication and that didn't work, or I didn't like the side effects.
- 6:26I mean for the constipation, I find myself doing Kalanick.
- 6:30So hydrotherapy, every single week I went probably because the laxative wasn't working anymore, the stool softeners that I used to purchase over the counter, like.
- 6:39Coalesce these, but it work anymore.
- 6:42Even the lenses or the medications didn't work anymore.
- 6:47But I always knew there was a solution.
- 6:50I didn't know what the solution was.
- 6:52But I knew there was a solution.
- 6:54I knew my life could be better.
- 6:57I knew I was not made on this planet on this earth to suffer.
- 7:00So I also knew that whatever it takes, I'm going to find that solution.
- 7:04I started going to a lot of conferences because I'm very committed in educating myself in.
- 7:13Really focused on personal and professional development.
- 7:16Again, as a doctor we always have to keep up with the latest.
- 7:19So I went to this urgent care.
- 7:21I'm part of the urgent care association of America.
- 7:23And they had a conference for us doctors in Disney California.
- 7:28And went there and then somebody mentioned high, this vitamin C somebody mentioned herbs, somebody mentioned natural medicine.
- 7:37And I was shocked.
- 7:38I'm like, what are they talking about?
- 7:40Like herbs doesn't really help you.
- 7:42Vitamin C can really help you now.
- 7:44What are they talking about?
- 7:46But of course with me and many people.
- 7:50If we have a curious mind, we go to search and we go to Dr.
- 7:53Google.
- 7:54So I Googled.
- 7:56Vitamin C and I Google certain things and to find out there are so many people out there that are healing.
- 8:02They bodies.
- 8:04Implementing these things.
- 8:05So I got so excited.
- 8:08And also scared.
- 8:09I'm like, wow, these things could work.
- 8:12Nobody told me about these things.
- 8:13What is happening?
- 8:15And I find myself doing research.
- 8:17I find myself learning, educating.
- 8:20Myself and how to heal my body.
- 8:23Without a medication.
- 8:25And of course the journey was frustrated.
- 8:28Hard.
- 8:29Because I'm not taking a pill.
- 8:32And find myself being patient.
- 8:35Right.
- 8:36Not really expecting.
- 8:39Things to work right away, not focusing on instant gratification, focusing on delayed gratification.
- 8:44And I started learning about integrative medicine.
- 8:47And this to me was mind blowing.
- 8:49Oh, my God, you can take some supplements.
- 8:51Like you can really take magnesium and that's going to help you with your, High blood pressure.
- 8:56You can change your diet and that's going to help you with your diabetes and high blood pressure.
- 9:01And these conditions are lifestyle.
- 9:04You don't have to do much.
- 9:06I was really shocked.
- 9:07I'm like, wow, nobody told me that like, I'm upset.
- 9:11I am frustrated that as a solution out there and nobody's told me about it.
- 9:16No doctors.
- 9:17And I started talking to some of my colleagues.
- 9:19They be.
- 9:20Ah, please, that doesn't work.
- 9:23Only medications.
- 9:24Just take the pills.
- 9:25That's why big pharma has so many medications out there.
- 9:28If this didn't work, try this one.
- 9:30If this one didn't work up at increase the dosage of the doses, didn't work.
- 9:34Try a new one or contact your pharmaceutical rep.
- 9:38To help you with that.
- 9:40But I started to change my diet.
- 9:42I started removing processed food fry foods.
- 9:46I started to eliminate the coffee with the milk and the creamer.
- 9:49I started to eliminate bagels.
- 9:51I started to like little things and I started.
- 9:54In improvement.
- 9:56Slowly, but surely.
- 9:58I started to focus on herbs.
- 10:01So I went back and we learned everything.
- 10:05Everything, how your body works, how your cells in your tissues and things can rejuvenate.
- 10:13How the body wheelie.
- 10:15Here when there's no chemicals, when you do less, when you keep it simple.
- 10:21So I went back to eliminate my chronic fatigue.
- 10:24My fibromyalgia.
- 10:25My IBS.
- 10:27With my chronic constipation, my brain fog, my skin issues improve.
- 10:33Everything improve.
- 10:34And then I plateaued.
- 10:35If I'm being honest.
- 10:37I was like, oh great.
- 10:38So I heal my body.
- 10:39Now I can go back to Eden and doing the same thing I was doing because I'm held.
- 10:43And then the symptoms that equipping back slowly.
- 10:47Slowly and slowly.
- 10:49And I find myself on a roller coaster.
- 10:52Like, what did I do wrong?
- 10:54Why am I still having this?
- 10:55The bloat, the gas, why my belly is still extended again.
- 11:00Why is the chronic fatigue not going away?
- 11:04I was losing my hair.
- 11:06Right.
- 11:07My head was spinning again.
- 11:08What is happening.
- 11:10And to find out.
- 11:11Yes, I did make some dietary changes.
- 11:15But I never really focused on pathogens.
- 11:20I never really decrease.
- 11:23Pathogenic toxins.
- 11:25And the toxins mycotoxins, biotoxins the things that are produced by your parasites.
- 11:31Mode.
- 11:31The fungus, the yeast.
- 11:34The bacteria, the viruses.
- 11:39I was frustrated.
- 11:40What is happening?
- 11:43So I'm not healing properly and I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to do.
- 11:46What's happening.
- 11:48Then I started learning about herbs that are, that can act the same way as medications.
- 11:56Herbs that can add the same way as an antiviral.
- 12:00And Tom at Cobia.
- 12:01Herbs antifungal and type aesthetic.
- 12:04Antiviral herbs.
- 12:05Again, of course, I went back to London.
- 12:08And then I was trying to get this knowledge.
- 12:12And implementing.
- 12:13In other people's office I've worked with chiropractors.
- 12:17I've worked with different type of, Practitioners helping them grow the practice, implementing what I learned in the functional medicine space.
- 12:26To help other patients.
- 12:28And to be honest with you, I was still not happy.
- 12:31Because when you work for somebody.
- 12:33You have to follow this.
- 12:34Person's.
- 12:35Instructions.
- 12:37You know, when you work with somebody.
- 12:39I found myself focusing on revenue, revenue, revenue, not so much focusing on the patient and the human being.
- 12:46And then I decided one day to open my own clinic.
- 12:48From New Jersey called wellness corner.
- 12:50Kona, N G I decided to open my own space so I can really practice the way I want to.
- 12:55Where I can spend the time with my patients where I can follow up with them.
- 13:00They, can have access to me.
- 13:02cause one thing I realize treating your body healing.
- 13:05Your body is not as simple as take pills or supplement.
- 13:09You changed your diet?
- 13:10No, not as simple as that.
- 13:13There are so many factors, so many things that you need to consider when it comes to healing your body naturally.
- 13:20And I went on a journey with my patients happen hundreds of people.
- 13:24Here's the bad is naturally.
- 13:26Well, we really dig deeper identifying the with cause.
- 13:30And looking under the hood and identify what's what's happening.
- 13:34What's causing all the symptoms.
- 13:36Why are your symptoms?
- 13:37Not going away.
- 13:39Why you still have the fatigue while you still have the wind fog?
- 13:41Why, why is the anxiety.
- 13:44The hair loss, the skin issues, your psoriasis eczema.
- 13:48Well, why are these things not going away?
- 13:51You can take all the supplements, right?
- 13:53You can take all the medications, all the herbs.
- 13:55But again, People were platform.
- 13:58So I opened my own clinic and since then I've been helping people for the past five years.
- 14:04Healing.
- 14:05We're connecting.
- 14:06Understanding.
- 14:07They bodies.
- 14:09Understanding and loving.
- 14:10The person that they are.
- 14:12That looking at the symptoms as a problem.
- 14:15And that looking at the way they've been treated in the medical space, thinking that they are crazy and something's wrong with them.
- 14:21We saw so many success stories.
- 14:23I mean, we have people transform the lives.
- 14:26People were referred people to me.
- 14:28So I find my passion.
- 14:29I'm like why that's what I was meant to do.
- 14:31And every day I would cop I show up differently helping people looking forward to helping many, many, many, many more.
- 14:40And now I have this podcast where I can reach more people.
- 14:44And hopefully.
- 14:46I can give them some tips and tricks and resources and tools they can implement.
- 14:52To heal their own bodies.
- 14:53To at least understand what's going on within.
- 14:56Because there are three things we need to do.
- 14:58In order for us to heal.
- 15:00Oh, there are so many things we need to do.
- 15:01But the three things that I focused on is identifying the would cause limited in toxins inflammation, and then get rid of disease.
- 15:07That's it.
- 15:08So I will walk you through.
- 15:10How to do these things.
- 15:11So it is my passion to really educate people.
- 15:15To show them what is possible.
- 15:17How they can improve their own health.
- 15:19Because one thing we don't want to do, we don't want to just transfer our power to other people.
- 15:25What is your doctor?
- 15:26Your loved ones.
- 15:28You, we don't want to do that.
- 15:29We want to be in charge.
- 15:30We want to acknowledge what's going on in what we can do better.
- 15:34We're not evolve.
- 15:36Evolution of a lifetime.
- 15:39In our house.
- 15:40In ourselves in our career.
- 15:43In all aspects of life.
- 15:45So I said, thank you.
