  I was visiting with the in laws for the holidays, had a great

  Out Burger, which we don't have in New England, hanging with the

  family. It was a really great time.

  We also went to the Mission Hotel which is in Riverside, CA

  spent a few days there. So had a great time.

  And I maybe could have squeezed a couple podcasts out there, but

  you know what? I know I couldn't bet out in

  California. So unlike Massachusetts and like

  40 other states of legalized betting, California still not

  legal. Kind of ridiculous.

  Biggest state in the country. Again, we're waiting for the day

  But I probably should have planned sooner.

  that someone did that anyway. But we do have a play here on

  Notre Dame and Georgia. I also have a bet for you in

  college hoops, a bet for you in the NBA and a bet in the NHL as

  well, which is a good system match here on a team that's near

  and dear to my heart. So we're going to talk about it

  So let's start off with the big game, the big one here, college

  football, Notre Dame, Georgia. This game was rescheduled

  yesterday to today because of that terrible terror attack that

  took place on Bourbon Street. Let's give the breakdown how

  line has moved system matches percentage and then I'm going to
• 4:45
  give you my plate for the Sugar Bowl.

  So we play to the Caesar Superdome in New Orleans.

  Of course, Notre Dame comes in 12 and one the seven seed just
• 4:54
  beat Indiana 2717 in the first round of the College football
• 4:57
  playoffs. They covered as a 7 point home
• 4:59
  favorite. Don't get me started on Mr.

  Signetti, who I thought was a good coach, but it's just a just
• 5:04
  a big big talker, big loser, big tough guy who decides not to
• 5:08
  punt on the opponents over the 50 with a game on the line.

  Your season on the line anyway. Georgia by the way, 11 and 2,
• 5:15
  the two seed coming off a by just beat Texas 2219 and
• 5:18
  overtime in the SEC championship.

  They won that game outright as a three-point neutral site dog.

  So what have we seen across the market here?

  Well, this game open with Georgia listed around a one
• 5:28
  point neutral site favorite. Some shops I noticed were even
• 5:31
  as high as -1 1/2 and really we've seen just one sided
• 5:35
  movement in favor of Notre Dame. Now, let's start with the
• 5:38
  percentages here at DraftKings, which this is important because
• 5:42
  I always want to talk through the difference between
• 5:43
  DraftKings splits and circus splits.
• 5:46
  Now, if you are a member at visen.com, which is the company

  But basically DraftKings is where we look to see where the
• 5:59
  public is because it's a big book, National Book, tons of
• 6:02
  public action that tells us where the public is at.

  The drunk guys at the bar, the people betting parlays. 61% of
• 6:09
  spread bets are on Georgia. However, at Circa, which I
• 6:12
  always mention this, if you haven't gotten to Vegas, you
• 6:14
  should make a trip to go see Circa.
• 6:16
  It's the Mecca, the Disney World, Disneyland, whatever you
• 6:19
  want to call it for sports bettors.
• 6:20
  But the Sharp book out in Vegas caters to pro bettors.
• 6:23
  They have 53% of spread bets on the Irish.
• 6:27
  So why is that important? Because that tells me the public
• 6:29
  is on Georgia. The sharps out in Vegas are
• 6:32
  going with Notre Dame. Now the great equalizer when you
• 6:35
  look at percentages is then to go to where the line is moved.
• 6:37
  Because different books cater to different betters and they have
• 6:40
  different limits. And basically what you can do to
• 6:43
  to cut through the noise is look at the line movement.
• 6:45
  Because line movement is going to be even though one book or
• 6:47
  another might be 1/2 point off or the juice might be different.
• 6:51
  Normally the lines can be pretty steady in One Direction.
• 6:55
  And this is a good case here where the splits are a little
• 6:58
  different at Circuit and DraftKings.
• 6:59
  But one thing has remained the same, the movement toward the
• 7:02
  Irish. I like the Irish here, guys.
• 7:04
  They flip from a one point dog or even 1 1/2 point dog to now a
• 7:08
  one point favorite. So we have dog to fave line
• 7:10
  move. We have a contrarian opportunity
• 7:13
  with Notre Dame because public at DraftKings is on Georgia.
• 7:16
  And then here's the other thing that I like.
• 7:18
  When I was looking at this game yesterday, what I noticed is,
• 7:20
  OK, there's a line move toward Notre Dame.
• 7:23
  But yesterday, 24 hours ago, there were still some pickums.
• 7:27
  There was even still a book or two that had Georgia -1 now
• 7:30
  that's completely changed. It's now painted across the
• 7:32
  board. That means every book you look
• 7:34
  at is now Notre Dame -1 So that's important to me because
• 7:38
  over the last 24 hours, there's no more, you know, slight, you
• 7:42
  know, slight kind of discrepancies in the market.
• 7:44
  We're pretty much uniform. Everyone is now Notre Dame -1 So
• 7:47
  that tells me we got pretty much uniform, sharp movement, late
• 7:50
  movement when limits are raised, which is super important in
• 7:54
  favor of the Irish. So if you look at basically
• 7:57
  DraftKings, that's a reverse line move toward Notre Dame
• 7:59
  because Public Storage alignment to Notre Dame.
• 8:02
  But even at circa 53% of bets on Notre Dame, that would be a 5050
• 8:06
  line move, which we talked about quite frequently.
• 8:08
  Basically, that means, hey, 5050 a line really shouldn't move at
• 8:11
  all. However, it's moved heavily
• 8:13
  toward the Irish now. We talked about it quite a bit
• 8:16
  as well, but money lining, short favorites.
• 8:18
  I'm not going to lay a -, 1 with Notre Dame.
• 8:21
  Have them win by 1 and I push my bet.
• 8:23
  Or maybe this thing between now and kickoff goes to 1 1/2 and
• 8:26
  they win by 1 and you lose a 1 1/2.

  This is a money line play for me.
• 8:29
  I'm money lined. Or actually, I actually
• 8:31
  yesterday was able to pick off a + 1 1/2 at -118 on Notre Dame at
• 8:36
  FanDuel. So if you didn't get a better
• 8:38
  number than a money line, like if you got a + 1, if you money
• 8:42
  line them, it may be plus one O 5.
• 8:43
  Hey, you're sticking with that. But now if you're playing it and
• 8:45
  you haven't bet it yet, this is a money line play for me.
• 8:49
  Around -115 -, 120 Circa is showing 45% of money line bets,
• 8:54
  but 72% of money line dollars on Notre Dame.
• 8:58
  So really good low bets, higher dollars bet split.

  And then, you know, we look into some some variables here
• 9:03
  intangibles. Notre Dame does have the better
• 9:05
  offense, 39 points a game versus 33.
• 9:08
  They have the better defense giving up fourteen a game versus
• 9:11
  20 for Georgia. And then here are some other
• 9:14
  factors that I think are important.
• 9:16
  Obviously, I'm sure you know this, but Carson Beck is out
• 9:18
  starting QB for Georgia. He had an elbow surgery.
• 9:21
  So Gunner Stockton is starting in his place.
• 9:24
  He's making his first career start.
• 9:26
  Remember, he came in at the end of the Texas game and led him to
• 9:30
  a win 12 to 1671 yards. But he did throw a pick and this
• 9:34
  is his first career start. So on the one hand, you have
• 9:37
  Stockton in a big spot making his first start, a sophomore.
• 9:40
  On the other hand, you have Riley Leonard, the quarterback
• 9:42
  for Notre Dame who was on Duke prior to that, but a senior, lot
• 9:45
  of experience. And then rest versus Rust.
• 9:48
  You've seen this so far in a couple games, like Ohio State,
• 9:52
  where one team already has a College Ball Playoff win under
• 9:55
  their belt, whereas the other team is rested, but they haven't
• 9:58
  played in a while. So in this spot, rest versus
• 10:01
  Rust, yeah, you have Georgia, the rested team.
• 10:03
  They haven't played since December 7th.
• 10:06
  But also could they be rusty? You know, Notre Dame played on
• 10:08
  the 20th already has a win. A little bit of momentum in
• 10:11
  terms of the total. You know, it opened around 44
• 10:14
  got to 45 1/2. I thought it was coming back
• 10:16
  down, but then I saw today it got up to 46.
• 10:19
  I did notice at Circo the overs getting 54 percent, 73% dollars.
• 10:23
  And this will be a game played indoors fast track, you know,
• 10:26
  good for the offense. So looks like maybe some late
• 10:28
  money is breaking over. But guys, if you give me a dog
• 10:32
  to fave line move, consistent late action, you know, an
• 10:35
  experienced senior against a wide eyed sophomore, this is a
• 10:39
  play for me on Notre Dame. So again, I got plus 1 1/2 of
• 10:42
  the Irish yesterday. Now if you're playing it, it's a
• 10:44
  money line play for the ASG pod. So let's go Irish, Let's do it
• 10:48
  for Rudy. And also Rhythm has two models.
• 10:51
  1 is basically Irish -1 the other one is Irish -4.4.
• 10:55
  So I like the fact that Rhythm is a little bit bullish here on
• 10:58
  the Irish. So let's go Irish, Notre Dame

  win the dam game, Notre Dame money line now around -115 now
• 11:05
  let's go to some college hoops for today.

  I must admit, guys, 65 games, say I could probably have a lot
• 11:11
  of plays for you. But of course, you know, less is
• 11:14
  more. Let's not try to, you know,
• 11:15
  force too many. Let's focus on the game.
• 11:18
  To me, that has the the most obvious sharp action that I want
• 11:21
  to play. And again, I could definitely
• 11:23
  add some more, but I'm just going to make one bet it's UTEP.
• 11:26
  That's right, UTEP at home against Louisiana Tech.
• 11:30
  Now this should be a great game because we have two really good
• 11:32
  teams who are at the top of the league in Conference USA along
• 11:37
  with Liberty. Both teams have double digit
• 11:39
  wins and both teams are on winning streaks.
• 11:42
  But it's been pretty clear across the market that we've
• 11:44
  seen consistent movement in One Direction and that is in favor
• 11:48
  of UTEP. UTEP at home, 9 O clock hosting
• 11:50
  Louisiana Tech. Now this game opened at
• 11:53
  basically a pick em, pick them -1 UTEP at home.
• 11:57
  Now we're seeing UTEP up to -2 1/2 even -3 so pretty consistent
• 12:02
  one way movement in favor of UTEP.
• 12:04
  Now if we look at the bet splits at Circa, again caters to
• 12:07
  sharper betters. 57% of spread bets, 87% of spread dollars are
• 12:13
  on UTEP. So basically slight majority,
• 12:15
  but heavy dollars at Circa on UTEP.
• 12:19
  We also get DraftKings on the money line.
• 12:21
  So there's a money line play for me.
• 12:22
  I money line UTEP with that big sharp move.
• 12:25
  I got him at -154 at FanDuel. But at DraftKings on the money
• 12:29
  line, UTEP is getting 60% of bets, 78% of dollars.
• 12:34
  So whether it's money line or spread, again, great bets split
• 12:37
  in favor of UTEP along with that really sharp line move pick -1
• 12:41
  now up to -2 1/2 - 3. Now I money line UTEP because
• 12:45
  again, money lining short favorites.
• 12:46
  That's that's what I like to do. Yes, I'm paying a little more
• 12:49
  juice, but also I can't tell you how many games, you know, fall
• 12:52
  within that margin where you would have lost your -2 1/2 - 3
• 12:56
  and one your money line. So again, if UTEP wins by one or
• 12:58
  two and we lose a 2 1/2 for three, I won't be able to sleep
• 13:02
  at night. So I'll pay that little, that
• 13:04
  extra juice here just for the wiggle room of just having to
• 13:07
  win the game. Now Ken Palm does have UTEP
• 13:10
  losing by 1, but I'm going to trust the market with this line
• 13:13
  move toward UTEP. What I do like though is Rhythm
• 13:15
  has UTEP -1.8. So at least they have UTEP
• 13:19
  winning by a couple points here. And there are a couple things
• 13:21
  I'm going to lean on with UTEP. One is their three-point
• 13:25
  shooting. Did you guys know that UTEP is
• 13:27
  shooting 41.4% from three this year?
• 13:30
  That's the 4th best in the country.
• 13:33
  So hopefully their shots are falling 38% for LA Tech.

  They're pretty good too. But again, 4th best 3 point
• 13:39
  shooting team in the country. UTEP, you're on your homecourt.

  So friendly, confines, supportive crowd.

  By the way, UTEP 7 and O at home this year.

  And then here's the other angle that I'm going to look at

  defense and forcing turnovers. UTEP did you know, is number 2
• 13:55
  in the country at forcing turnovers.

  So they get a lot of steals, block shots, get out in
• 13:59
  transition. They're forcing turnovers on an
• 14:02
  unbelievable 26% of possessions. So basically one out of four
• 14:06
  possessions, they're forcing a turnover.
• 14:08
  So they knock down the three. They forced turnovers.
• 14:10
  And then also rest versus Rust. LA Tech hasn't played since the
• 14:15
  21st, UTEP just played on the 28th.

  So for that, rest versus Rust actually benefits the OR is
• 14:21
  against the Rusty team in favor of UTEP here.

  But I was looking at a lot of games today, guys.

  Again, I could add a few more for you.

  There are a bunch that are close for me.

  I'm sure you know, if you have a similar mindset, looking at

  percentages, line moves, Ken palm, rhythm edges, hey, you

  probably have a few more bets than I do, and I could have
• 14:37
  forced a few. But I said, you know what, let's
• 14:39
  just play what appears to be the sharpest game of the day.

  And that looks to be U temp. So Roadrunners, let's go U Temp,
• 14:45
  win the damn game on the money line at -154 keep on cruising.

  I got an NBA play for you and it was one of our favorite system
• 14:54
  matches. So this is a game tonight at
• 14:56
  8:00 Eastern Time, Brooklyn Nets visiting the Milwaukee Bucks.

  So going this one opposite, 2 opposite teams here, Milwaukee
• 15:04
  17 and 14, Brooklyn 12 and 21. But there's been one thing that
• 15:09
  I've noticed for this one or a couple things obviously 1 is
• 15:12
  that it's a huge spread in favor of the Bucks.
• 15:15
  Bucks are favored by about 13 points tonight -13 at home.

  But I also noticed as soon as I saw the -13 at home, I started
• 15:22
  to think that's one of our system matches.

  Big spread home favorite take the under.
• 15:29
  So this is actually an inflated under.

  I'm not going to call this a sharp under because you don't
• 15:34
  have a you know, low bets higher dollars.

  You don't have a reverse line move 5050 steam anything like
• 15:39
  that. The total actually opened as low
• 15:41
  as 218. Now it's all the way up to 221
• 15:45
  1/2 and you even see a couple books at 2:22.
• 15:47
  So pretty clear that hey, the total did go up.
• 15:51
  But think of it this way. If you are now betting over 221
• 15:55
  and a half 222, you're getting the worst of the number.

  Let's flip it the other way. Let's take advantage of this

  inflated line. I'm going under, guys.

  Shop around. If you can find a 222, if not,
• 16:05
  221, 1/2 under. That's the play here for me and
• 16:08
  one of my favorite systems. As I mentioned, big spread under
• 16:11
  when you are a home favorite of 12 points or more in those
• 16:15
  games. The under is 23 and 1758% this
• 16:19
  year. And again, betting systems
• 16:21
  trends, whatever you want to call them, I kind of cringe when
• 16:24
  I hear the word trends because, you know, not all trends are
• 16:26
  meaningful or important, but you got to have a theory behind it.
• 16:29
  And what's this theory? Hey, you get up big, take your
• 16:32
  foot off the gas, you know, dribble out the clock, try to
• 16:35
  get out of there and not and not force the game.
• 16:37
  Let's get it over as quick as possible if you're up by 20.

  But there's more to like about this under.
• 16:42
  So one is pace. I noticed with ESPN Hollinger,
• 16:46
  which you can just Google, which is kind of the Ken Palm
• 16:48
  analytics for NBA, and notice that the Nets are dead last in
• 16:51
  terms of pace. They're the slowest team in the
• 16:54
  NBA. So fewer possessions, less
• 16:57
  opportunity to score, chew up the clock, good for an under
• 17:01
  offensive efficiency. The Nets are 23rd, so they don't
• 17:03
  score very well defensively. Milwaukee's 13, so pretty good
• 17:07
  defense. I also noticed this is the
• 17:09
  fourth match up between this team, these teams this year and
• 17:13
  you look at the results, we had final totals of two 17216 and a
• 17:19
  231. So the two 31 obviously will go
• 17:22
  over here, but a couple games that were lower scoring.

  Milwaukee, by the way, is 18 and 14 to the under this year.

  And if we look at rhythm, we have two models here predicted

  finals of 220.2 and 220.6. So 2/22/21 by the grace of God

  in the hook that would cover the under 221 1/2.

  So again, we've seen this total go up.

  Hoping hoping this is the high watermark.

  Now to finish up the night, I'm going to a hockey game.

  move, but this is one of my favorite system matches, in

  particular on a team that I love, that I'm looking forward

  to sweating tonight. That's right, the Boston Bruins.

  Where's my guy Charlie C, who was a big Rangers fan.

  I wonder if he agrees with me on this one.

  But anyway, Bruins are at the Rangers Madison Square Garden

  tonight, 7:00 Eastern Time. Bruins are 2015 and four Rangers

  who've been good in the last few years.

  Something's up with them 1619 and one.

  They have lost four in a row. They've been making trades left

  and right. Their starting goalie is

  injured. They've been outscored 19 to six

  in their last four games. I'm thinking this is a good time

  to back the Boston Bruins. Now the Bruins open this game

  But I'm starting to see them maybe start to creep back up
