- 0:01Instant fulfillment is the desire that most people have for
- 0:06any of their wishes, prayers, or aspirations.
- 0:10Particularly in the West, people have been conditioned to believe
- 0:15that they can receive a response instantly.
- 0:18They expect delivery within the hour.
- 0:21Everything comes to them faster and faster, and they come to
- 0:25expect results to be instantaneous.
- 0:29In reality, however, the most essential things in life do not
- 0:33appear at the speed of an Internet download using a high
- 0:37speed link. Of course, many people still
- 0:41understand the need for patient and persistent effort.
- 0:45Those engaged in serious sports, science, mathematics, or other
- 0:50fields that push the boundaries of one's capabilities in one
- 0:54area or another soon find that they need to work at their field
- 0:58regularly, consistently, persistently, and with an
- 1:02unflagging energy. They begin to realize that
- 1:06setbacks and obstacles may stand in the way, which can only be
- 1:10overcome through time and effort.
- 1:14Aspiration, in order to come to fruition, needs to be a powerful
- 1:19flame that not only blazes up and then dies out, but which
- 1:24burns consistently and steadily over the long term, impressing
- 1:29the entire being with its influence and overtime bringing
- 1:34about the change sought by the aspiration.
- 1:39The mother observes quote. Aspiration is like an arrow,
- 1:44like this gesture. So you aspire, want very
- 1:49earnestly to understand, no, enter into the truth, Yes.
- 1:55And then with that aspiration, you do this gesture, your
- 2:01aspiration rises, rises, rises, rises straight up, very strong.
- 2:09And then it strikes against a kind of, how to put it lid,
- 2:13which is there hard like iron and extremely thick, and it does
- 2:19not pass through. And then you say, see, what's
- 2:24the use of aspiring? It brings nothing at all.
- 2:27I meet with something hard and cannot pass.
- 2:32But you know about the drop of water which falls on the rock?
- 2:36It ends up by making a chasm. It cuts the rock from top to
- 2:40bottom. Your aspiration is a drop of
- 2:44water which instead of falling, rises.
- 2:47So by dint of rising it beats, beats, beats, and one day it
- 2:54makes a hole by dint of rising. And it when it makes the hole,
- 2:59suddenly it springs out from this lid and enters an immensity
- 3:04of light. And you say, ah, now I
- 3:08understand it's like that. So one must be very persistent,
- 3:14very stubborn, and have an aspiration which rises straight
- 3:19upwards, that is, which does not go roaming around here and there
- 3:23seeking all kinds of things. Only this to understand,
- 3:29understand, understand, to learn, to know, to be.
- 3:37When one reaches the very top, there is nothing more to
- 3:41understand, nothing more to learn.
- 3:45One is. And it's when 1 is that one
- 3:49understands and knows. End Quote Reference Sri
