- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Okay, a brand new day starts right now. Thank you
- 0:05Speaker 2: for starting it with us.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Ricky does have those three things presented by Mark Spain
- 0:08Speaker 3: Real Estate.
- 0:09Speaker 4: Wheel of Fortune announcer Jim Thornton has been suspended. Sony
- 0:13Speaker 4: Pictures Television suspended Jim from the game show after undisclosed
- 0:16Speaker 4: allegations were made against him. They also said that they're
- 0:19Speaker 4: recasting the role as they investigate what had actually happened.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Sources told TMZ the alleged incident involved Thornton and a
- 0:26Speaker 4: few fellow passengers on an American Airlines flight back in May.
- 0:31Speaker 4: So don't really know all the details just yet, but
- 0:34Speaker 4: we will see how that pans out.
- 0:36Speaker 5: He's been there for a very long time.
- 0:38Speaker 4: So we'll see who they end up recasting and who
- 0:40Speaker 4: ends up being like the voice of Wheel of Fortune.
- 0:44Speaker 4: A small plane went down in a Lebanon playground yesterday.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Wilson County Emergency Management Agency said that a small aircraft
- 0:51Speaker 4: went down in a playground at Byers Dowdy Elementary School.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Luckily, nobody was hurt. Thank God.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Children were at the school, but they weren't near the
- 0:59Speaker 4: aircraft or the playground where it had ended up landing.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Details are very scarce right now. They're still investigating. This
- 1:05Speaker 4: happened late afternoon yesterday. So we'll see what they say
- 1:09Speaker 4: is the reason why.
- 1:10Speaker 5: That had to happen.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Like I said, luckily, nobody was hurt. So that's the
- 1:14Speaker 4: positive here. Nothing bad happened. Just a very wild encounter
- 1:18Speaker 4: to experience. And some men are intentionally skipping showers before
- 1:24Speaker 4: a date thanks to a viral TikTok craze.
- 1:28Speaker 5: It's known as pheromone maxing.
- 1:30Speaker 4: It encourages guys to avoid deodorant, cologne, and even bathing.
- 1:35Speaker 4: They want their natural scent to be more noticeable because
- 1:39Speaker 4: they believe stronger body odor can boost attractiveness by highlighting
- 1:42Speaker 4: natural pheromones. I'm going to go ahead and tell y'all
- 1:45Speaker 4: that's not a thing. Please don't do this.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Some guys are in so deep.
- 1:51Speaker 4: That they're wearing unwashed shirts and drinking their own urine
- 1:54Speaker 4: to sweat out toxins.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 1:56Speaker 6: Wait a minute.
- 1:56Speaker 2: You went way too far there with that.
- 1:58Speaker 6: Really?
- 1:59Speaker 5: Oh, you don't think that not bathing is far enough?
- 2:01Speaker 2: You think that.
- 2:02Speaker 1: That's too far?
- 2:02Speaker 6: No, I was.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I was just trying to press your buttons when I said,
- 2:04Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:05Speaker 3: But I do think, you know, people are attracted to people.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Pheromones are a thing.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Pheromones, yes, yes, that is a real thing.
- 2:10Speaker 5: Pheromones are a thing.
- 2:11Speaker 3: But you don't want to show up stinky and you
- 2:13Speaker 3: definitely don't.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Want to drink urine.
- 2:15Speaker 1: No, no.
- 2:15Speaker 4: And I promise that if you wear a nice cologne,
- 2:18Speaker 4: the person that's on.
- 2:19Speaker 5: The date with you is going to thank you.
- 2:20Speaker 4: They're probably even going to compliment you and say, wow,
- 2:24Speaker 4: I really love.
- 2:25Speaker 5: That cologne that you're wearing.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I like how your breath doesn't smell like pee.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Yeah, let's not do that, guys.
- 2:31Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 2:32Speaker 4: need to know.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I feel like we can't just brush past this, but
- 2:35Speaker 3: I guess we have to move on.
- 2:36Speaker 2: We have to. I want to talk about that so
- 2:38Speaker 2: much more.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Okay, here's Benson Boone getting back into the music on.
- 2:42Speaker 2: This Wednesday morning.
- 2:43Speaker 3: We do have Disney on Ice passes on the way
- 2:45Speaker 3: for the first caller.
- 2:46Speaker 2: We've got them all week. I think it'd be yours
- 2:48Speaker 2: within six minutes on the river.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:53Speaker 5: It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in.
- 2:54Speaker 4: The morning on 107.5 The River. We love when we
- 2:57Speaker 4: have a nice, beefy package to give you for our
- 3:01Speaker 4: first caller of the day on 107.5 The River. We
- 3:05Speaker 4: have a four-packet ticket to Disney on Ice Presents Spotlight Magic.
- 3:09Speaker 4: It's happening at Bridgestone Arena September 17th through the 20th.
- 3:13Speaker 4: We have our friend Easton on the line.
- 3:14Speaker 5: Good morning, Easton.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 3:17Speaker 5: How you doing this morning?
- 3:18Speaker 7: Great.
- 3:19Speaker 4: You're up early for school.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Though, right?
- 3:22Speaker 7: I have chickens and I have a dog that I
- 3:25Speaker 7: have to take care of.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Oh, very responsible.
- 3:27Speaker 3: So you wake up early to tend to all of
- 3:29Speaker 3: these live creatures.
- 3:32Speaker 8: Well, my mom takes care of the chickens.
- 3:33Speaker 7: I just play with my dog until we have to go.
- 3:37Speaker 4: So you're not actually taking care of the chickens.
- 3:39Speaker 5: You're just watching mom take care of the chickens.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I like it.
- 3:42Speaker 5: You're working smarter, not harder there, Easton.
- 3:46Speaker 8: My mom, sometimes she got attacked by the rooster.
- 3:50Speaker 3: She got attacked by the rooster? When did this happen?
- 3:52Speaker 2: Is she okay?
- 3:59Speaker 3: This is a lot of information you're sharing with us, Easton.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Any more secrets that you want to spill?
- 4:04Speaker 1: No.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Your mom back there.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Give me lines.
- 4:09Speaker 4: There's nothing like hearing a mom going, stop telling people that.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Do you have it on camera, Easton?
- 4:14Speaker 3: Did any sort of cameras capture your mom beating this rooster?
- 4:18Speaker 7: No, but I have a picture of my grandma.
- 4:23Speaker 2: She always got attacked, but the Russian.
- 4:25Speaker 8: Never attacked us.
- 4:26Speaker 5: But when my Mimi walked out.
- 4:28Speaker 7: There, they would always run after her.
- 4:30Speaker 5: Oh, they don't like Mimi, huh?
- 4:31Speaker 8: No, they didn't like you or your grandmother.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Mom went, no, no, no, it's you too, Easton.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Brewster's a jerk, man.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Oh, man, this is a great way to start the day.
- 4:45Speaker 4: This is a great way for us to start the day,
- 4:47Speaker 4: but we also have good news for you, Easton, because
- 4:49Speaker 4: you are the first caller of the day this morning.
- 4:51Speaker 4: You're going to get a four-pack of tickets to Disney
- 4:53Speaker 4: on Ice Presents Spotlight Magic.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Yay.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Yay, dude.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Who are you going to take with you? Obviously, your mom.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Your mom is kind of, you know, we're going to
- 4:59Speaker 3: have to put these tickets under her name. But who
- 5:01Speaker 3: else is going with you?
- 5:03Speaker 5: Maybe my friend named Asher.
- 5:05Speaker 1: He went.
- 5:06Speaker 7: to the fair with me.
- 5:08Speaker 6: Oh, cool. Awesome.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Love that.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Well, you guys are going to have a great time.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Thank you so much for starting your day with us.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Thanks for waking up early to take care of that dog.
- 5:15Speaker 3: And please give our best to your mom.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yes, sir.
- 5:19Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Hang on one second, okay? I got to come back
- 5:21Speaker 5: to you and grab your info. Okay, Houston?
- 5:23Speaker 6: Okay.
- 5:24Speaker 3: We've got more tomorrow. Another beefy package, as Ricky put it.
- 5:28Speaker 4: It sounds so wrong when you say it and you
- 5:30Speaker 4: laugh about it. But the idea here is that it's
- 5:32Speaker 4: a big, nice package.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 5:34Speaker 5: That sounds worse.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Four tickets for Disney on Ice, same time tomorrow.
- 5:40Speaker 1: 107.5 The River.
- 5:40Speaker 4: I learned two things yesterday, one of which I think
- 5:43Speaker 4: is going to be beneficial for you, one of which
- 5:45Speaker 4: was not very beneficial for me.
- 5:48Speaker 6: Uh-oh.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Uh-oh.
- 5:50Speaker 5: I was right, Kevin.
- 5:51Speaker 4: One really negative thing I learned about myself, but also
- 5:54Speaker 4: just like a cool hack.
- 5:55Speaker 5: That you may not know about your phone.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:58Speaker 6: All right.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And this can apply to most of us here?
- 6:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I actually think both are relatable.
- 6:02Speaker 6: All right.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Right after Dracula, we're going to learn from Ricky's mistakes,
- 6:06Speaker 3: I guess. Whatever happened yesterday, it's a teaching moment for
- 6:09Speaker 3: all of us next on The River.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Before 7 o'clock here on this Wednesday morning, thank you
- 6:15Speaker 3: for starting with us. Ricky learned something yesterday, I guess
- 6:18Speaker 3: about her phone. Ricky's got an iPhone, so if you
- 6:20Speaker 3: have an iPhone, hopefully this helps you.
- 6:23Speaker 5: I learned something about my phone and also something about myself.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Something that I knew deep down, but you know when
- 6:28Speaker 4: there's something that just hits you in the face sometimes
- 6:30Speaker 4: about yourself and you're like, oh, I forgot about that.
- 6:33Speaker 2: And now you're annoyed.
- 6:35Speaker 5: That's what happened to me yesterday.
- 6:37Speaker 4: I went to open an app and by accident, I
- 6:39Speaker 4: opened up my calculator app.
- 6:42Speaker 5: And when I opened it up, I realized, oh, that's
- 6:44Speaker 5: a fun trick.
- 6:45Speaker 4: It actually keeps the last thing that you tried to
- 6:47Speaker 4: calculate in the calculator.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Even when you close out the app.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Which I was like, that's so good to know for
- 6:53Speaker 4: future reference. Just in case you accidentally close out.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Of something that you're going to need later.
- 6:57Speaker 6: That is good, yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 5: So I was like, that's a fun little hack. And
- 7:00Speaker 5: then I looked to see.
- 7:02Speaker 4: What it was that I last tried to calculate. And
- 7:08Speaker 4: this is the second part of this. The thing I
- 7:09Speaker 4: learned about myself that I knew that I just hate
- 7:11Speaker 4: about myself.
- 7:13Speaker 5: I tried to.
- 7:14Speaker 4: I tried to calculate 2026 minus 2014.
- 7:18Speaker 5: 12.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Because it was really hard for me to get to
- 7:21Speaker 4: 12 for some reason.
- 7:24Speaker 3: You did that math and you had to pull out
- 7:26Speaker 3: your calculator to do that math.
- 7:29Speaker 6: Yep.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yep, Kevin.
- 7:31Speaker 4: I had to pull out my calculator to do that math.
- 7:33Speaker 5: I've always been terrible at math. I've never been good
- 7:36Speaker 5: at it.
- 7:37Speaker 4: But sometimes, you know, again, it just smacks you in
- 7:39Speaker 4: the face just how bad you.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Are at something.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Because I didn't realize that.
- 7:43Speaker 5: I've now gotten that bad.
- 7:45Speaker 4: That bad where I could not get to 12, that
- 7:47Speaker 4: I had to pull out my calculator. Or maybe I
- 7:50Speaker 4: did get to 12.
- 7:51Speaker 5: I don't really remember doing this calculation.
- 7:53Speaker 4: But I didn't believe myself that it was 12. So
- 7:56Speaker 4: I had to put it in the calculator anyways.
- 7:58Speaker 5: Either way, it's bad.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Double check your work i do know that over the
- 8:01Speaker 3: years here there have been little things on the air
- 8:03Speaker 3: where i've thrown like the very simple.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Math equations at you and zach and.
- 8:07Speaker 3: You have just flat out refused to answer them because
- 8:10Speaker 3: i'm horrific you just.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Shut it down you're like nope not doing it nope
- 8:13Speaker 2: nope i have.
- 8:14Speaker 4: A lot of trauma surrounding math and a lot of
- 8:17Speaker 4: moments of being.
- 8:18Speaker 5: At the kitchen table and crying and my dad being.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Like i don't understand what you don't understand about Can
- 8:24Speaker 4: I throw a couple at you or no?
- 8:25Speaker 5: Don't you dare, Kevin.
- 8:26Speaker 3: You won't even entertain it for a second? I will
- 8:28Speaker 3: kick you in the shin so hard. What if they're easy,
- 8:30Speaker 3: like 5 times 10?
- 8:31Speaker 4: Wouldn't you think that 2026 minus 2014 would be an
- 8:35Speaker 4: easy math equation?
- 8:36Speaker 2: Can you try 5 times 10? Go away.
- 8:38Speaker 5: I'm not doing it. I'm not playing your games. I'm
- 8:41Speaker 5: not playing your games.
- 8:42Speaker 2: 5 times 10.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Listen, I'm not playing your games, okay?
- 8:47Speaker 4: There are some things that just like no matter what
- 8:50Speaker 4: you do, You can't understand it.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 4: People have tried to explain math to me in so
- 8:54Speaker 4: many ways, and I just don't get it.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I get it. Okay. It doesn't make sense. Sorry for
- 8:59Speaker 2: pushing you on it. There is trauma there.
- 9:02Speaker 3: But thank you for opening that up for all of
- 9:04Speaker 3: us and sharing that with us, because that probably wasn't easy.
- 9:07Speaker 5: It wasn't.
- 9:07Speaker 4: But now you know that your calculator keeps the last
- 9:09Speaker 4: thing that you calculated. And I hope that everybody looks
- 9:12Speaker 4: and sees what theirs is, and it also makes them
- 9:14Speaker 4: feel stupid.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I guess I felt real dumb.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Just after seven o'clock here. Thank you for starting your
- 9:22Speaker 3: Wednesday with us. Ricky's got those three things presented by
- 9:24Speaker 3: Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 9:26Speaker 5: Miley, formerly Miley Cyrus, is coming out with a new album.
- 9:31Speaker 5: She's been teasing a.
- 9:31Speaker 4: New era with an all red aesthetic on her Instagram
- 9:34Speaker 4: and her website, along with the change from Miley Cyrus
- 9:37Speaker 4: to Miley. Now she's announced a new album. It's coming
- 9:40Speaker 4: out September 18th. which is so soon. I was like,
- 9:43Speaker 4: oh my God, that's really, really fast that this is
- 9:46Speaker 4: coming out. It's Bass Persuades is what it's called. Part
- 9:49Speaker 4: of her post said, quote, music takes hold of us.
- 9:51Speaker 4: We feel it. We sing it. Sometimes dance to it.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Let it out and cry on. Carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet,
- 9:59Speaker 4: and strong. Heartful, heartache, every part of life in between.
- 10:03Speaker 4: That's what the title means to me. So like I said,
- 10:06Speaker 4: we can expect that on the 18th very, very soon.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I can't wait to hear new music from Miley and
- 10:10Speaker 4: what this new era is going to be like. As
- 10:13Speaker 4: you know, she's gone through many different types of phases
- 10:15Speaker 4: of music. So really curious where this is going. Cumberland
- 10:19Speaker 4: Hardware is set to close their doors. The owners have
- 10:22Speaker 4: announced they will close their doors for good at the
- 10:24Speaker 4: end of the year on December 31st.
- 10:27Speaker 5: The store first opened in.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Nashville in 1910 and remained in the same family before
- 10:31Speaker 4: being sold to its current owners in the mid-1980s.
- 10:36Speaker 5: And the current owners didn't really give.
- 10:37Speaker 4: A reason for the closure, but they did say a
- 10:40Speaker 4: few months back, that lack of free parking has really
- 10:44Speaker 4: hindered their business. It's something that a lot of businesses
- 10:47Speaker 4: here in and around Nashville have been complaining about and
- 10:50Speaker 4: letting the city know that it's really making an.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Impact on their sales and on the way that they
- 10:55Speaker 5: function as a business.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Hopefully it's something that we can figure out as a
- 10:58Speaker 4: city because it's really become quite a mess. So go
- 11:01Speaker 4: support Cumberland Hardware while you can.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Like I said, they'll be open until December 31st. So
- 11:05Speaker 5: anything that you need, go support local. It will mean
- 11:08Speaker 5: a lot to them.
- 11:09Speaker 4: And Chipotle, they have made a viral hack a limited
- 11:12Speaker 4: time menu item.
- 11:14Speaker 5: They now have chili lime chips.
- 11:16Speaker 4: They're inspired by customers who have been adding extra flavor
- 11:19Speaker 4: to their orders. It's a trend that Chipotle says generated
- 11:22Speaker 4: around 96 million social media engagements. So people are buying
- 11:26Speaker 4: their own chips and using it in their meals for Chipotle.
- 11:31Speaker 5: So now they're just adding.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Some flavors to it. So reward members can get the
- 11:34Speaker 4: new chips now. There's a nationwide launch coming this Friday.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Chili lime chips.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Sounds good.
- 11:40Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 11:41Speaker 4: need to know.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Thank you, Ricky. Zach is out again.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Today's out this week, so I've got a fact I'm
- 11:46Speaker 3: filling in for him with those facts.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Zach's facts. I've got one on the way.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Here's Dominic's like baby doll getting back into the music.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 11:59Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Zach is out this week.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I'm filling in for him with those facts.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Did you know that there used to be a town
- 12:06Speaker 3: in Texas called... poor Texas. And in the 1890s, it
- 12:11Speaker 3: was sort of petitioned to change the name to wealthy Texas.
- 12:13Speaker 2: So they did.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 12:15Speaker 4: I was not expecting it to go that way.
- 12:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 5: Why change it to wealthy? Why not just change it
- 12:20Speaker 5: to any other name?
- 12:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I guess they just wanted to go opposite.
- 12:24Speaker 2: They were sick of being called poor.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Weird.
- 12:26Speaker 2: And it was time to be wealthy.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Weird. I don't like any of this.
- 12:31Speaker 2: From poor Texas to wealthy Texas.
- 12:32Speaker 6: There you go.
- 12:32Speaker 2: That's your Fact of the Day.
- 12:34Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 12:37Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 12:38Speaker 4: What is something that you just cannot understand no matter
- 12:42Speaker 4: how someone explains it to you? It's 107.5 The River.
- 12:46Speaker 5: I struggle so.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Badly with math and was reminded of just how badly
- 12:50Speaker 4: I struggle with math yesterday.
- 12:52Speaker 5: And now I need to feel a little bit better
- 12:54Speaker 5: about myself. So I want to know what you struggle with.
- 12:57Speaker 3: When she says she struggles with math, she really struggles
- 12:59Speaker 3: with math. Maybe make her feel better. I have something
- 13:02Speaker 3: that comes to mind. For me, I just can't wrap
- 13:03Speaker 3: my mind around it. I'll let you know what that is.
- 13:05Speaker 3: And we want to hear yours. No matter what, you
- 13:07Speaker 3: just cannot seem to comprehend it.
- 13:10Speaker 2: What is it? 615-737-9107. Let us know.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It's 107.5 The River.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Ricky opened up a moment ago that math is not
- 13:21Speaker 3: her strong suit.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I am just very bad at math, and no matter
- 13:24Speaker 4: how anybody explains it to me, I cannot understand how
- 13:28Speaker 4: it works.
- 13:29Speaker 3: So now we're coming together to make Ricky feel better.
- 13:31Speaker 3: What do you struggle with? You can't wrap your mind
- 13:33Speaker 3: around it no matter what. Bree in Nashville, what is
- 13:36Speaker 3: it for you?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Maps.
- 13:38Speaker 8: If I'm driving and I do not have a map or, like,
- 13:42Speaker 8: a GPS, I'm doomed. If you try to explain something
- 13:44Speaker 8: to me, go left at this.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Street, no.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Oh, Brie, I get it, though, because once people start
- 13:51Speaker 4: going north, south, east, west to me, I'm like, what
- 13:54Speaker 4: does that mean?
- 13:55Speaker 5: Where am I going?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yes.
- 13:58Speaker 8: And also, if it's take, like, the name of an exit,
- 14:02Speaker 8: what's the number?
- 14:03Speaker 5: I need the number.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 14:04Speaker 3: But the name is also on the sign. I'm not
- 14:06Speaker 3: trying to make you feel bad.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I'm just trying to understand this.
- 14:09Speaker 7: No, I can't do it.
- 14:10Speaker 8: It has to be the number. I'm only looking at
- 14:11Speaker 8: the number.
- 14:12Speaker 7: Couldn't care less about the word.
- 14:13Speaker 5: So interesting, Brie. I do feel a little better now.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I mean, I'll agree that like GPS has completely ruined
- 14:23Speaker 3: me from learning anything.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I just rely on it blindly all the time.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely. Our phones are making us more and more dumb.
- 14:31Speaker 5: That's just the reality.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Because we have every piece of information we would ever
- 14:34Speaker 3: need at our fingertips constantly.
- 14:36Speaker 2: So why learn anything?
- 14:38Speaker 4: One of my favorite things, and Brie, you might laugh
- 14:40Speaker 4: about this too, because you have a GPS that you
- 14:42Speaker 4: can use on your phone. When I was growing up
- 14:45Speaker 4: with math and how bad I was at math, the
- 14:47Speaker 4: one thing that my dad would always tell.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Me is like, you got to learn this.
- 14:49Speaker 4: It's not like you're going to have a calculator.
- 14:51Speaker 5: In your pocket at all times. Now I do.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah, constantly. Now I can pull it out.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Whenever I need to do any kind of math problem.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Here's my, and I'm 43 years old.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I was hoping by now I would have this figured out,
- 15:04Speaker 3: but I don't know if you guys can relate to this.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Anything insurance related, I just, co-pays, deductible premiums. Get out
- 15:13Speaker 3: of here with that. I don't know what any of
- 15:15Speaker 3: those things mean.
- 15:18Speaker 5: We are not adults.
- 15:19Speaker 8: I work in HR and I don't either.
- 15:24Speaker 5: Insurance is very confusing.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I think they do it.
- 15:26Speaker 5: On purpose though.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I think so too.
- 15:28Speaker 5: They want it to be confusing for us.
- 15:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Brie, thank you for helping us feel like everybody's dumb.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Not just us.
- 15:36Speaker 8: Anytime.
- 15:37Speaker 5: We appreciate you so much. Have a great day, love.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:42Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 15:43Speaker 4: We are playing the super easy baseball quiz today for
- 15:46Speaker 4: Kevin Mano's Game of the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds

- 15:58Speaker 3: week we're not turning anybody away these questions are very
- 16:00Speaker 3: easy but the i'm just gonna you know kind of
- 16:03Speaker 3: peel back the curtain here the contestant yesterday kind of
- 16:06Speaker 3: threw threw a wrench in the gears of my game because.
- 16:09Speaker 2: It's supposed to.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Be two really easy questions and one like almost impossible
- 16:14Speaker 3: question but she googled the impossible question very quickly and
- 16:18Speaker 3: she answered it and i just did not expect that.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I didn't You never said that they couldn't Google.
- 16:23Speaker 6: I agree.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I support it. If you want to do that, go ahead.
- 16:26Speaker 3: But if you want to play this game for sounds tickets,
- 16:29Speaker 3: the game is this weekend.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Ricky's going to be out of the game. It's this Sunday.

- 16:54Speaker 4: game of the day.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Ashley and Dixon is on the line. Good morning, Ashley.
- 16:58Speaker 2: How are you?
- 16:59Speaker 3: Good, how are you? No complaints over here. We're feeling good.
- 17:02Speaker 3: It's a hot one today, but, you know, we're hanging
- 17:05Speaker 3: in there. You feeling sharp and with it?
- 17:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 17:08Speaker 7: I'm kind of nervous.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Don't be nervous.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like you're going to win. Everybody's... going
- 17:15Speaker 3: to be a winner this week.
- 17:16Speaker 6: It is a.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Super easy baseball quiz. You need two out of three
- 17:19Speaker 3: of these to get the tickets, okay?
- 17:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:22Speaker 3: And again, the game is this Sunday. It's Sunday Family
- 17:24Speaker 3: Fun Day. Ricky's going to be out there, so a
- 17:27Speaker 3: good time will be had by all. Your game starts
- 17:29Speaker 3: right now. Ashley, during standard defensive play, how many.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Outfielders are on the field at one time?
- 17:41Speaker 6: Three.
- 17:42Speaker 2: You got a point.
- 17:42Speaker 6: Three.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Okay, Ashley.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Right field, center field, left field. Yeah, yeah, you got
- 17:47Speaker 2: that very quickly. Okay, here we go. Question two. You
- 17:50Speaker 2: get this, you win.
- 17:51Speaker 7: Okay.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Who wore number 58 for the Texas Rangers in 2011?
- 17:55Speaker 2: I have.
- 18:01Speaker 5: No idea.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Oh, you pass on that one? I'm going to pass
- 18:05Speaker 2: on that one.
- 18:06Speaker 7: I can't even guess.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Okay, you didn't get it right. It was Mark Hamburger.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Mark Hamburger.
- 18:11Speaker 5: I hate you so much.
- 18:12Speaker 4: He's grinning ear to ear because these are the most
- 18:14Speaker 4: insane questions that he's asking.
- 18:16Speaker 3: And hey, fun fact, Mark Hamburger is currently a diagnostic
- 18:20Speaker 3: radiologist specializing in abdominal imaging.
- 18:23Speaker 6: Who knew?
- 18:23Speaker 5: Now we do. Thank you so much for that, Kevin.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Took a real sharp turn in his career there. Okay,
- 18:30Speaker 3: last question. You get this, you win.
- 18:31Speaker 2: How many strikes make an out?
- 18:35Speaker 4: Three.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Nice, Ashley.
- 18:38Speaker 2: You're going to see the sounds. Congratulations.
- 18:42Speaker 8: Thank you so much.
- 18:44Speaker 5: All worried and you made it work.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Congratulations. I'm going to put you on hold for a second, okay?
- 18:48Speaker 4: We're going to get some info from you.
- 18:50Speaker 5: In a sec.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Okay, perfect.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 18:55Speaker 3: All right, let's go just after 8 o'clock on this
- 18:57Speaker 3: Wednesday morning.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Appreciate you being here.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Netflix has announced a Matthew Perry documentary. The one about
- 19:07Speaker 4: Matthew Perry is a three-part series that's going to debut
- 19:10Speaker 4: on October 27th. The title is very fitting considering that
- 19:13Speaker 4: the fan favorite show that he was on, Friends, it's
- 19:16Speaker 4: how they would title each episode. So it's a very
- 19:20Speaker 4: obvious nod to his time with Friends. The documentary is
- 19:23Speaker 4: said to have never before heard testimonies from his sister
- 19:27Speaker 4: and lifelong best friends, as well as talk about the
- 19:29Speaker 4: journey of his professional life with firsthand memories from his
- 19:33Speaker 4: creative collaborators and friends. Like I said, it's going to
- 19:38Speaker 4: come out October 27th. Be on the lookout for it. Obviously,
- 19:42Speaker 4: just so sad. Every time I watch Friends, I think
- 19:45Speaker 4: of him. and just it makes me so sad to
- 19:47Speaker 4: know that he's passed away he was he was my
- 19:49Speaker 4: favorite on friends our sister station the big 98 is
- 19:53Speaker 4: doing something pretty cool today they're throwing a stella lefty
- 19:56Speaker 4: show so stella is going to be at jason aldean's
- 19:59Speaker 4: the rooftop today at 1 p.m it's totally free So
- 20:03Speaker 4: everybody is welcome.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Oh, that's awesome.
- 20:04Speaker 5: Grab lunch if you want.
- 20:05Speaker 4: You know, take a little break and go watch a
- 20:07Speaker 4: show and grab lunch at Jason Aldean's and see Stella Lefty.
- 20:10Speaker 4: She's obviously huge right now and just getting bigger and bigger.
- 20:13Speaker 4: We play her songs here on the river, so you
- 20:15Speaker 4: probably know her. But yeah, go show up, show out
- 20:18Speaker 4: for the big 98. And a third of Americans don't
- 20:22Speaker 4: know what Labor Day celebrates. In a new survey of 2,000 people,
- 20:26Speaker 4: one in five incorrectly believed that the day honors the
- 20:30Speaker 4: founding of labor unions. 9% thought that it was the
- 20:34Speaker 4: official start of fall, and that's what we were celebrating.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Others thought it was a holiday to celebrate the signing
- 20:39Speaker 4: of the U.S. Constitution, or that it honored the end
- 20:43Speaker 4: of World War II.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Boy, I mean, somehow.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I'm going to be completely honest with you. I know
- 20:48Speaker 3: that it's about, like, The working class.
- 20:50Speaker 6: Okay.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Working people. That's in my mind is what it is.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Well, somehow, 4% of people didn't think there was a
- 20:55Speaker 4: Labor Day at all in 2026 for some reason. But
- 20:58Speaker 4: for those who don't know, Labor Day, to put it simply,
- 21:01Speaker 4: it pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers.
- 21:05Speaker 4: That's a very simplified idea of it.
- 21:07Speaker 5: There's obviously a lot more that goes into it, but
- 21:09Speaker 5: I don't have all that much time. But now you
- 21:11Speaker 5: know what Labor Day is there for.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I'm Ricky Sanchez.
- 21:13Speaker 5: And those are the three things you need to know.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Thank you very much, Ricky. Educational, as always.
- 21:17Speaker 6: There you go.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Let's play Stella Lefty. How about it?
- 21:20Speaker 4: I love it.
- 21:21Speaker 2: You're going out there today, right?
- 21:22Speaker 5: I believe I'm going to be there, yeah.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Cool.
- 21:24Speaker 3: One o'clock today, Aldine's a free show with Stella Lefty.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Here is her song, Boston, on 107.5 The River.
- 21:29Speaker 5: On a train back to Boston.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 21:34Speaker 6: On 107.5 The River.
- 21:35Speaker 5: We are all about.
- 21:37Speaker 4: To unite on 107.5 The River and agree on one thing. Collectively,
- 21:42Speaker 4: because for once, Kevin and I actually agree on this
- 21:45Speaker 4: new rule that Italy is proposing in their country. They
- 21:48Speaker 4: want to get rid of people on their phones in crosswalks.
- 21:52Speaker 3: They want to make that a finable offense.
- 21:53Speaker 2: If you're looking at your phone while crossing a street, boom,
- 21:56Speaker 2: take it.
- 21:57Speaker 5: Which I think makes total sense. Kevin thinks it makes total.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Sense because not only is it extremely dangerous to do.
- 22:03Speaker 5: That, it is also so, so annoying as the driver.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Nothing is more frustrating than being at a light, being
- 22:11Speaker 4: able to go, but you can't because somebody is looking
- 22:14Speaker 4: at their phone in a crosswalk when they shouldn't.
- 22:17Speaker 5: Be doing that because they are not paying attention.
- 22:19Speaker 1: $ 100 ticket.
- 22:21Speaker 4: It is so frustrating. One of the like small annoyances,
- 22:25Speaker 4: but like grows inside your soul.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Do you know what I mean?
- 22:29Speaker 3: I feel like most people would agree with that. That
- 22:32Speaker 3: should be a finable offense. So let's see what other
- 22:35Speaker 3: small annoyances should be finable offenses. If you have one, 615-737-9107.
- 22:41Speaker 3: I think taking up two parking spots deserves a ticket.
- 22:45Speaker 2: If you park over the line.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Fine them. People driving those electric scooters on the sidewalk.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 22:50Speaker 5: Find them.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Find them that should not be allowed.
- 22:54Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 22:56Speaker 3: If you have one to add here, we are issuing
- 23:00Speaker 3: tickets for small annoyances.
- 23:03Speaker 6: 615-737-9107.
- 23:03Speaker 3: What you got?
- 23:06Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 23:09Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Emily in Nashville is on the line. We are handing
- 23:14Speaker 3: out tickets. We're handing out fines, Emily, for small annoyances.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Being the first person at a red light that could
- 23:18Speaker 3: turn right.
- 23:33Speaker 8: But instead of turning right, they need to go straight.
- 23:37Speaker 8: So then everybody behind them who needs to turn, they
- 23:40Speaker 8: have to wait the full light time.
- 23:42Speaker 3: I agree with you completely. The cops are coming right
- 23:44Speaker 3: now to get that person. I hear them in the background.
- 23:47Speaker 3: That's perfect timing. But no, if there are two lanes
- 23:50Speaker 3: and you're going straight, do not be in the turn lane. Yes.
- 23:54Speaker 4: $ 300 fine, Emily.
- 23:55Speaker 5: $ 300. That's a hefty one.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Yeah, it is a hefty one because it's annoying.
- 23:58Speaker 5: It is. Well, Emily, we hope you have a great.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Day, and we hope that nobody annoys you and gets
- 24:03Speaker 4: in that lane.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Nobody get in Emily's way today.
- 24:05Speaker 6: Yes.
- 24:06Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Bye, guys. Bye, Emily.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Lauren in lovely Mount Juliet, how you doing this morning?
- 24:13Speaker 1: Doing great.
- 24:14Speaker 7: How are you guys?
- 24:15Speaker 2: Good. No complaints. What are we handing out tickets for?
- 24:18Speaker 7: Walking on the left side of the sidewalk.
- 24:22Speaker 6: Yep.
- 24:23Speaker 8: Or at the airport, someone walking on.
- 24:25Speaker 7: The left side, like, guys, We drive on the right side.
- 24:28Speaker 5: We walk on the right side.
- 24:30Speaker 7: It's just the way the world works.
- 24:31Speaker 4: Honestly, find everyone walking in the airport. Why is it
- 24:35Speaker 4: everyone's first day on earth in the airport? Like if
- 24:38Speaker 4: someone stops in front of you, find them.
- 24:41Speaker 7: My husband's favorite thing to do at the airport is
- 24:43Speaker 7: when someone just stops in front of me and he
- 24:45Speaker 7: loudly will keep walking and go, there's got to be
- 24:47Speaker 7: a better place to stand.
- 24:49Speaker 6: So loud.
- 24:50Speaker 4: It is the worst feeling because you're like, oh my.
- 24:53Speaker 4: And then you can't get around them because other people
- 24:55Speaker 4: aren't paying attention to the fact that you're trying to
- 24:57Speaker 4: get around them.
- 24:58Speaker 8: And other people are walking on the left.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Side, so they're in the way.
- 25:01Speaker 7: You can't pass.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Pretty much everything we've said here from, you know, the
- 25:05Speaker 3: cell phones and the crosswalks to the parking and two
- 25:07Speaker 3: parking spaces, everything has all been about spatial awareness.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Just be aware of your surroundings.
- 25:14Speaker 7: Yes.
- 25:14Speaker 4: I'm imposing a $ 500 fine for anybody that can't walk correctly.
- 25:18Speaker 2: That's a little, okay, okay.
- 25:20Speaker 5: That's how annoying that is.
- 25:21Speaker 2: It's pricey.
- 25:22Speaker 7: Agreed, I appreciate that.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Pricey but fair. Lauren, thank you for calling. We appreciate you.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Thanks, have a great day.
- 25:28Speaker 2: You too.
- 25:29Speaker 5: $ 500 doesn't even feel like enough. I'm getting just.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Rage-filled emotions right now thinking about that experience.
- 25:37Speaker 2: You know what?
- 25:38Speaker 3: This is all pretend, so make it as much.
- 25:40Speaker 6: As you want.
- 25:40Speaker 5: $ 10, 000. There we go. That's what we're talking about.
- 25:45Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 25:47Speaker 4: We just need to give all of the love and
- 25:49Speaker 4: appreciation to Kelly Clarkson right here, right.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Now, because this woman just continues to blow us away.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Our Daily Double Tap today on 107.5 The River is her.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Doing it again, proving that she has just the craziest
- 26:03Speaker 4: range when it comes to singing.
- 26:04Speaker 3: This is from the Kelly Clarkson show. She was doing
- 26:06Speaker 3: that Kelly Oakey thing. They said it was the most
- 26:08Speaker 3: requested Kelly Oakey ever. It's not an easy song to sing.
- 26:13Speaker 3: You're going to hear this high note here in a second.
- 26:14Speaker 3: It's Golden from K-Pop Demon Hunters.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Here it is, today's Daily Double Tap.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Oh!
- 26:33Speaker 9: I don't understand how her voice can actually do that.
- 26:50Speaker 1: No.
- 26:50Speaker 6: Uh-uh.
- 26:58Speaker 4: I can't even try going high pitch even slightly without
- 27:02Speaker 4: my voice cracking. And the fact that she can do
- 27:05Speaker 4: it not once, but twice in a row there, unreal.
- 27:09Speaker 3: It's one of the most incredible things in human history
- 27:12Speaker 3: that in the first season of American Idol, we elected
- 27:17Speaker 3: the perfect person.
- 27:19Speaker 4: The best singer in all of America right off the bat.
- 27:22Speaker 5: I don't know why we continued on.
- 27:23Speaker 2: We found her and we should have stopped because we
- 27:26Speaker 2: found her.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning on 107.5 The River.
