- 0:03Speaker 1: Good evening, good evening, good evening, and welcome to another
- 0:07Speaker 1: episode of Delay but not Deny the podcast. On tonight,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I have my friend mister Jerry Ferguson, and we're gonna
- 0:15Speaker 1: discuss credit repair and the things you need to know
- 0:21Speaker 1: in doing so. But before we get started, I would
- 0:25Speaker 1: like to go to God in prayer. Heavenly Father, we
- 0:28Speaker 1: come to you tonight asking you to be in the
- 0:30Speaker 1: midst of the conversation, asking you to let the hearers
- 0:34Speaker 1: and the doers of this word not fall on deaf ears. Lord,
- 0:40Speaker 1: let all the questions be asked and the answers be
- 0:44Speaker 1: received in Jesus name and pray Amen. Essential questions to
- 0:49Speaker 1: ask when getting your credit repaired or before you get
- 0:53Speaker 1: your credit repaired. When considering credit repair, it's crucial to
- 1:00Speaker 1: be informed to ensure you choose a legitimate and effective approach.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Here are key questions to ask whether you're considering a
- 1:09Speaker 1: credit repair, considering a credit repair company, or credit counseling.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Mister Jerry, are you there? It's saying everybody's offline, Okay,
- 1:39Speaker 1: he said he was logging out and logging back in.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Let me check on him, see if he's good. Uh.
- 2:03Speaker 1: But in the meantime. Questions about credit repair companies the
- 2:09Speaker 1: first thing you should access where services are offered. Credit
- 2:15Speaker 1: repair companies typically dispute errors on credit reports with credit
- 2:19Speaker 1: bureaus and creditors. Some offer additional services, including credit monitoring, monitoring,
- 2:27Speaker 1: sorry credit score track, and financial education. What are the
- 2:32Speaker 1: cost of services? Credit repair services usually have monthly fees,
- 2:38Speaker 1: which can range from fifty dollars to one hundred and
- 2:41Speaker 1: fifty dependent on the service included. Some companies may also
- 2:45Speaker 1: charge a setup or first work fee, ranging from seventy
- 2:49Speaker 1: dollars to two hundred dollars. It's important to understand the
- 2:53Speaker 1: pricing structure and any potential additional fees before committee. Can
- 3:02Speaker 1: score improvements be guaranteed. Reputable credit repair companies cannot guarantee
- 3:09Speaker 1: specific score increases. However, they can provide information on general
- 3:14Speaker 1: score improvements seen by past clients. Another question to ask
- 3:21Speaker 1: is how long will it take to see results. The
- 3:24Speaker 1: timeframe for credit repair varies based on the complexity of
- 3:28Speaker 1: your situation, the number of disputed items, and the responsiveness
- 3:34Speaker 1: of credit bureaus and creditors. Credit bureaus are typically required
- 3:39Speaker 1: to investigate disputes within thirty to forty days how much
- 3:44Speaker 1: involvement is required from a client. A reputable company will
- 3:49Speaker 1: involve the client in the process offering guidance on improving credit.
- 3:55Speaker 1: They will also they will also require the client to
- 3:59Speaker 1: prove provide supporting documentation and forward correspondence from creditors and
- 4:05Speaker 1: credit brols. My guess is here, mister Jerry, how are you.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I'm good? Can you hear me?
- 4:12Speaker 1: I can hear you?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Okay, having difficult with the camera. As long as y'all
- 4:17Speaker 3: can you can hear me, I can hear and give
- 4:22Speaker 3: you my point of view and expertise.
- 4:27Speaker 1: If you could, Could you introduce yourself?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yes, thank you.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I just want to give it, give it back to
- 4:34Speaker 3: you for this platform, for our linking up. You know,
- 4:39Speaker 3: we always keep in contact with one another. We'll let
- 4:42Speaker 3: me know what you know, what you got going on
- 4:45Speaker 3: when we need each other. We love serving each other.
- 4:48Speaker 3: We love, you know, helping each other out with each
- 4:51Speaker 3: other business. My name is Jerry Ferguson, a financial consultant,
- 4:56Speaker 3: a company of ges R Solution because ALC and basically
- 5:02Speaker 3: you know done learned a lot of stuff in the
- 5:05Speaker 3: past years to help my people with finances and grown
- 5:09Speaker 3: passionate about it. So I realized what it had done done
- 5:13Speaker 3: for me and my family, and we just me and
- 5:16Speaker 3: my whole family just made us, you know, got us
- 5:20Speaker 3: a company going because we're grown passionate about creative repairing
- 5:23Speaker 3: the finances and all the stuff that we wasn't taught
- 5:26Speaker 3: growing up. And you know, it wasn't our fault that
- 5:29Speaker 3: we wanted taught. Our parents went taught that our grandparents
- 5:32Speaker 3: weren't taught, and it was it was like that for
- 5:35Speaker 3: a reason. But now y'all got somebody that that know
- 5:39Speaker 3: a little some something.
- 5:40Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying.
- 5:41Speaker 3: So I always say, you know, knowledge is free because
- 5:47Speaker 3: you can google pretty much google inn.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Ok Okay, okay, So the first question I have is
- 7:05Speaker 1: what services offered. I can't hear you?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Can you hear me? Now?
- 7:19Speaker 3: Okay, okay. We have a done for you service, which
- 7:24Speaker 3: is excellent. I really like the done for you service
- 7:27Speaker 3: because if you get more, you be more hands on
- 7:31Speaker 3: with it, and you understand it more and really you
- 7:35Speaker 3: can learn, you can show your family, show people that
- 7:38Speaker 3: you love or anybody that's really interested in hearing it
- 7:41Speaker 3: and the planet. But with that service as an AI service,
- 7:46Speaker 3: it pretty much do everything for you. For us, the
- 7:49Speaker 3: disputes that you have to produce. You pretty much got repoll.
- 7:54Speaker 3: You type it in, it's gonna pull up exactly what
- 7:57Speaker 3: you need to send off, how you need to send
- 7:59Speaker 3: it off. You pretty much just print that document off,
- 8:03Speaker 3: you sign it, send a copy of your like your idity,
- 8:08Speaker 3: and and respond within the twenty five thirty five day,
- 8:12Speaker 3: and then it's going to produce the next step for you.
- 8:15Speaker 3: The only thing about the done for you service is
- 8:18Speaker 3: that you're responsible for mailing out the dispute letters. And
- 8:22Speaker 3: any time that you're dealing with creative repair or pretty
- 8:26Speaker 3: much anything important, which creative repair is important, you want
- 8:29Speaker 3: to send it off certified mail. That way, these companies
- 8:33Speaker 3: they can't say they didn't receive this now because because
- 8:37Speaker 3: you just put a stamp on your send that letter off,
- 8:40Speaker 3: they can say, oh, we didn't receeell now you a month,
- 8:43Speaker 3: you twenty five thirty five days, ain't nothing been done.
- 8:47Speaker 3: So always send you know, send it off certified mail.
- 8:50Speaker 3: So the process of happening like it like it should,
- 8:56Speaker 3: you know time theories. But the certified mail UH it stamps, it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Does it vary from UH state to state like for.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Us, the credit repair like for us. Now it don't
- 9:12Speaker 3: vary on state state to state when it comes to
- 9:16Speaker 3: credit repair.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Nah, it don't vary state.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Stay not with my service anyway I can help you know,
- 9:21Speaker 3: I can help in all fifty fifty states.
- 9:24Speaker 2: It the same same process.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Okay. And what are the costs for the services?
- 9:32Speaker 2: Okay?
- 9:33Speaker 3: The the done for You service, both both programs that
- 9:39Speaker 3: I provide is a monthly Bay service is no contract
- 9:46Speaker 3: when you start the D I Y the d it
- 9:50Speaker 3: is on one forty nine to start and it's sixty nine.
- 9:53Speaker 2: A month, okay.
- 9:55Speaker 3: And then we got it done for You service to
- 9:58Speaker 3: where you don't do nothing but set up your consultation
- 10:01Speaker 3: pretty much. Uh, you know, we get to do a
- 10:05Speaker 3: background see exactly what you're dealing with so we'll know
- 10:08Speaker 3: how to handle it. And that's that's one eighty nine
- 10:12Speaker 3: a start, and it's eighty nine a month now with
- 10:15Speaker 3: that program. You know, like I said, you don't do nothing.
- 10:17Speaker 3: You just set up the app, do your consultation and
- 10:20Speaker 3: it's gonna pretty much they gonna let you know what
- 10:23Speaker 3: done been mailed off, was being tooken off and you
- 10:25Speaker 3: just you just watching and watching the team work. Now
- 10:30Speaker 3: that's that's an awesome service too, because it's handy for
- 10:33Speaker 3: people that ain't got the time or don't want the
- 10:35Speaker 3: responsibility of mailing out the dispute letters. Now, both programs
- 10:40Speaker 3: are perfect, but I personally like the DY It's it's
- 10:46Speaker 3: it's cheaper, but it's more knowledgeable for what I want
- 10:50Speaker 3: my clients to you know, understand, so they won't keep
- 10:53Speaker 3: repeating the process or coming to me for creative repair. Now,
- 10:57Speaker 3: I would love to have you every month, every two months.
- 11:00Speaker 3: That ain't my personal goal for my clients. I want
- 11:03Speaker 3: you to be a learn restore so you can teach
- 11:07Speaker 3: your kids, your kids kids break the cycle that we've
- 11:10Speaker 3: been going through.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Okay, can credit scores score improvements be guaranteed?
- 11:22Speaker 3: Me and my company don't guarantee nothing but our service
- 11:27Speaker 3: with the money back guarantee on the you know far
- 11:32Speaker 3: as payment wise. Now, what I can guarantee for what
- 11:38Speaker 3: I deal with. If you work on your credit and
- 11:40Speaker 3: do what you're supposed to and be dis for I
- 11:43Speaker 3: guarantee it will work for you. Now guarantee how fast
- 11:48Speaker 3: something will go off for this, that and third. No,
- 11:51Speaker 3: but I can guarantee it will. But I can't say, well,
- 11:54Speaker 3: I can get your report off in sixty days. All right, house,
- 12:00Speaker 3: The first month of any credit repair is to verify
- 12:04Speaker 3: and delete old stuff. You cannot it is, you cannot
- 12:09Speaker 3: dispute anything if the old stuff is still long enough,
- 12:13Speaker 3: because when you're sending it, it's coming back verified because
- 12:17Speaker 3: the old address what they did is on is there.
- 12:20Speaker 3: So their first thirty days, you wanna you wanna delete,
- 12:25Speaker 3: delete your old address, old phone numbers, old jaws, old nicknames,
- 12:30Speaker 3: anything that ain't tied to your current living situation. Then
- 12:35Speaker 3: starting disputing. That's when when stuff start falling off, a
- 12:39Speaker 3: lot of people just say I'm gonna dispute this.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna dispute that. It don't work like that.
- 12:46Speaker 1: How long does it usually take to start seeing results.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I don't seen results sometimes as soon as thirty to
- 12:54Speaker 3: sixty days, because like I said, once, once that verify
- 12:59Speaker 3: that old stuff off, and then there's a few let
- 13:02Speaker 3: us go out there. Second week after them, first twenty
- 13:05Speaker 3: five thirty five days, stuff just start going up. And
- 13:09Speaker 3: then you know, we we we help you build credit
- 13:14Speaker 3: as stuff being tooken out, So you see a result
- 13:18Speaker 3: a little quicker because as stuff falling off, you already
- 13:21Speaker 3: building your credit. So it's like it's you're replacing your
- 13:25Speaker 3: negative with positive at the same time and learning so everything,
- 13:30Speaker 3: you're getting results that you need because we got you
- 13:33Speaker 3: on the program to help you maintain and understand. We
- 13:38Speaker 3: don't just we don't just hey, hit sign us pay
- 13:42Speaker 3: for that.
- 13:43Speaker 2: There you go. Nah, we'll probably get on your nerve
- 13:45Speaker 2: more than you know what I mean.
- 13:47Speaker 3: But because we won't, we want you to understanding and
- 13:50Speaker 3: learning and benefit from it.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:56Speaker 1: How much involvement is required from the client?
- 14:01Speaker 3: Like I say, it's what they what just pretty much
- 14:09Speaker 3: up to the client. How much impotand me you want
- 14:12Speaker 3: to you want to learn? That's why it's two different programs.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:16Speaker 3: If you want to just I just ain't got time
- 14:19Speaker 3: to learn nothing, but I need the boost.
- 14:21Speaker 2: We can help you with that.
- 14:22Speaker 3: If hey, I want to be hands on, I'm gonna
- 14:26Speaker 3: get on your nerve please, do you know what I mean?
- 14:29Speaker 2: So if it's all it's all up to the client.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Okay. How are disputes handled with bureaus and creditors.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Pretty much were the era of AI, So when we
- 14:47Speaker 3: send these letters off, it's that's That's another reason why
- 14:51Speaker 3: I like the d I Y because it's a I
- 14:54Speaker 3: fight AI. It's knowing the AI letters, knowing exactly how
- 15:00Speaker 3: to fight that system that we're sending it to. So
- 15:04Speaker 3: and then you're getting more involved with it, you know.
- 15:08Speaker 3: But what's the question again, I'm sorry.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I asked, how are disputes handled with credit bureaus and.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Credit the AI system fighting fighting the AI system? So
- 15:23Speaker 3: so pretty much the codes our system sending codes to
- 15:28Speaker 3: dispute whatever you're going through. So pretty much a repo,
- 15:32Speaker 3: got a code to it for coldes, you got a
- 15:34Speaker 3: code to inquiries, got a code to it. So it
- 15:38Speaker 3: depending on your credit profile. That's that's why they'll depending
- 15:43Speaker 3: on your credit profile, it'll print up the exact script
- 15:46Speaker 3: that you need to send to the Burroughs to you know,
- 15:50Speaker 3: to make things move a little faster, because that's another thing.
- 15:54Speaker 3: If you don't know what you're sending. If you're just computing, well,
- 15:59Speaker 3: I got a repoll, I'm gonna send it off as
- 16:03Speaker 3: charge off.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I'm disputed as a charge off. It's incorrect. If it's incorrect,
- 16:10Speaker 2: it ain't doing nothing. So let the system do what
- 16:13Speaker 2: it does. So it's center. It's that information it needs
- 16:16Speaker 2: so you won't.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Be in no delayed you know, time frame getting the
- 16:20Speaker 3: repast that you need because to be honest, typically most
- 16:25Speaker 3: of my clients like, for four months we gaming like
- 16:31Speaker 3: we we're gonna start getting credit lines if you know
- 16:37Speaker 3: by there the six fifty or hire and all three boroughs,
- 16:40Speaker 3: because that's what you want least least to six fifty.
- 16:43Speaker 3: That's the starting point. That's the Okay, you in the
- 16:46Speaker 3: C plus club. They see you trying. They okay, you're good,
- 16:51Speaker 3: you credible, you know what I mean? Because credit that's
- 16:54Speaker 3: what it is. Your credibility, You know what I mean.
- 16:57Speaker 3: They want to know you're gonna give my money that
- 17:00Speaker 3: you know what I mean? Is you responsible enough to
- 17:03Speaker 3: learn this? Thirty percent, thirty five, ten percent? You know,
- 17:08Speaker 3: they don't want you to know it. But when you
- 17:10Speaker 3: do know it, life get better. You just stuff start
- 17:14Speaker 3: coming in bundance. You just to me, credit repast like
- 17:19Speaker 3: the first step to discipline to all the money that
- 17:25Speaker 3: we dream and really won't couse you. If you can't
- 17:29Speaker 3: manage that thousand dollars that you make a week, you
- 17:35Speaker 3: they blessing the ten thousand a week that you want,
- 17:37Speaker 3: it ain't gonna come because God don't work like that
- 17:41Speaker 3: blessing don't work like, it's just one thing I learned
- 17:44Speaker 3: in these three years of having you know, just change
- 17:48Speaker 3: with credit and stuff in my life is just it
- 17:50Speaker 3: just don't work like that. So you gotta be able
- 17:52Speaker 3: to manage, maintain and do be grateful for what you
- 17:56Speaker 3: got and maintain it.
- 17:58Speaker 2: And then they start on for you.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Okay, are attorneys involved, Yes, it out especially with well,
- 18:11Speaker 4: attorneys always involved because that's just the protetion that we
- 18:14Speaker 4: have with the company and stuff like that.
- 18:16Speaker 3: But it can't get as deep ass So certain companies
- 18:23Speaker 3: by high fraudulent, they putting stuff on your report and stuff.
- 18:28Speaker 3: It's it's it gets so deep to where you you
- 18:32Speaker 3: could get some money back from them, line about certain
- 18:37Speaker 3: things on your report, you know, and they have attorneys
- 18:41Speaker 3: just for that. If you if you had an agreement
- 18:47Speaker 3: or something on turning the car in and you signed
- 18:51Speaker 3: the way of saying yes, I turned this in, you know, willingly,
- 18:57Speaker 3: so I'm gonna be on my creative report and y'all
- 19:00Speaker 3: out signed documents and stuff, and two months later it's
- 19:04Speaker 3: on your your credit report and you can, you know,
- 19:08Speaker 3: you can sue, you can sue them futed because of
- 19:11Speaker 3: the contract and stuff like that. Even if it's a verbal.
- 19:15Speaker 3: If you got proof though, you can you can get
- 19:18Speaker 3: your money back and get get you know, get that
- 19:20Speaker 3: toaken off your credit profile.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Okay, I got a personal question. I guess for myself.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I looked at my credit report and there are things
- 19:34Speaker 1: on there that have absolutely nothing to do with me,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and I don't know the first thing about removing it. Like,
- 19:44Speaker 1: for example, they have a name listed up under my
- 19:52Speaker 1: credit report as Latanya d Little John. My middle initial
- 19:59Speaker 1: is M, and so I don't understand where that comes from.
- 20:04Speaker 1: The Social Security numbers don't match most of the cities
- 20:10Speaker 1: and states that they have listed as previous addresses I've
- 20:15Speaker 1: never lived at. I've only lived in two states in
- 20:18Speaker 1: my life, in the South Carolina and Georgia.
- 20:22Speaker 3: And so and see what that that that comes with
- 20:26Speaker 3: the very first step of credit repair. You want to
- 20:29Speaker 3: get those things deleted because that's not you. And then
- 20:34Speaker 3: very fied if it's not you, because you you know
- 20:39Speaker 3: it's not you, correct, right, So it just be you
- 20:44Speaker 3: your name, an old address or or phone number tied
- 20:48Speaker 3: to it. You see how it work because it could
- 20:51Speaker 3: be just I don't know, somebody in your family might
- 20:55Speaker 3: have stayed at the address it's just it's just crazy
- 20:59Speaker 3: how it worked. Because your social tied to your lifestyle,
- 21:03Speaker 3: tied to your credit profile, you know what I mean.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Anywhere you don't move.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Slept, adredge, change adredge, whatever it is on that, you
- 21:13Speaker 3: know what I mean. So that's why you gotta get
- 21:16Speaker 3: those things to lead it. And matter of fact, I'm
- 21:19Speaker 3: gonna send you. I'm gonna send you exactly what you
- 21:22Speaker 3: need to do. I got you. You ain't gotta worry
- 21:27Speaker 3: about it. I got you. After after the call, I'm
- 21:31Speaker 3: gonna I'm gonna send you some stuff. You just send
- 21:34Speaker 3: it to me.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna send you what you need to do with
- 21:36Speaker 2: I got you.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Okay, thank you, Because I mean, it's it's weird because
- 21:42Speaker 1: I'll get my credit report quite often and seeing places
- 21:48Speaker 1: on there like Charlotte, North Carolina, Nebraska, m mm hm
- 21:56Speaker 1: place as I I mean, I've been to Charlotte before. Yeah,
- 22:01Speaker 1: I've never lived there. I've never been there longer than
- 22:04Speaker 1: twenty four hours.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Yeah, And see people people have our same name and
- 22:09Speaker 3: all that. We're gonna get those get those things verified too.
- 22:13Speaker 3: It's nothing hard to do it. Like I say, I'm
- 22:17Speaker 3: gonna send you to everything that you need to do.
- 22:20Speaker 3: As matter of fact, I'm gonna do it for you.
- 22:21Speaker 3: The don't think you have to do is mail it
- 22:24Speaker 3: off certified mail, and it'll probably gonna cost you like
- 22:28Speaker 3: eighteen dollars to mail all three letters off for.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Something like that.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Okay, but yeah, once they do, once you send those off,
- 22:39Speaker 3: wait like twenty five thirty five days in between that timeframe,
- 22:43Speaker 3: you're gonna get a letter from all three boroughs.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you, okay, we removed do that in
- 22:50Speaker 3: the third. Now if they try to add like now
- 22:56Speaker 3: we've got this verified, this can't be moved, then I'm
- 22:59Speaker 3: gonna send you another letter. And after that letter right there,
- 23:02Speaker 3: they're gonna do what they need to do so we
- 23:05Speaker 3: can go to the next step. Okay, they'll play hardball
- 23:10Speaker 3: sometimes depends on what it is and what the day
- 23:15Speaker 3: is and.
- 23:16Speaker 2: All that stuff. Whatever, you know, But I got some
- 23:20Speaker 2: for them. Don't even worry about it.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I want to ask about statute of limitations. I used
- 23:27Speaker 1: to work in credit UH recovery, where we UH would
- 23:34Speaker 1: call people and harass them about stuff that happened twenty
- 23:37Speaker 1: or years ago. The statute of limitation really play a
- 23:42Speaker 1: part or is that just something that was thrown out
- 23:45Speaker 1: there too.
- 23:47Speaker 3: To get people that that's basically the third party, I mean,
- 23:52Speaker 3: the company after they don't sold your debt, they get
- 23:55Speaker 3: they try to do that part to get you get
- 23:58Speaker 3: get some more money from you, you know, the scare tactic,
- 24:03Speaker 3: or pay for this collection what I'm paying for if
- 24:07Speaker 3: you already unsold it, you know, and people and people
- 24:11Speaker 3: just be like they it might be a thousand dollars.
- 24:14Speaker 3: They be like, well, we'll do it for one hundred
- 24:16Speaker 3: and twenty five and knock it off and you pay
- 24:19Speaker 3: the one twenty five. They still don't knock it off
- 24:22Speaker 3: and they already done soldier collections, so they done double
- 24:24Speaker 3: dipped on you. Now you you mad twice, you know.
- 24:28Speaker 3: You mean, so anything that's in collections or that need
- 24:32Speaker 3: to be deleted, do not pay on it. It be
- 24:36Speaker 3: it'd be cheaper just to go get it, get it
- 24:39Speaker 3: deleted and repaired and restore.
- 24:41Speaker 2: You know.
- 24:43Speaker 3: That's that's just that's just what it is. And see,
- 24:46Speaker 3: like a lot of people like far as emails, like
- 24:50Speaker 3: when when you apply for stuff and they they send
- 24:56Speaker 3: you an email to verify it's you don'n verified. It's
- 25:00Speaker 3: just like Okay, like fine bird region the hospital. You
- 25:05Speaker 3: know how they see you. They'll call you and you'll
- 25:08Speaker 3: you'll hang up on them. That's you hang up. But
- 25:14Speaker 3: then they's seen your text or email and then you
- 25:17Speaker 3: get it to open it. Guess what you just did
- 25:20Speaker 3: gave them? Maxis you?
- 25:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you just verified that it's you. You see what
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 25:26Speaker 3: It's just like picking up the phone calls and saying yes, yes,
- 25:30Speaker 3: I yes, I was there that day. Yes that's me. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 3: you know what I mean, same things. That's how they
- 25:37Speaker 3: get But a lot of people don't know that. But yeah,
- 25:41Speaker 3: they just wanted verified.
- 25:44Speaker 2: That's the way they.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Does. Divorce and things of that nature. Hurt your credits.
- 25:54Speaker 3: That that's all between you and your spouse and what
- 25:57Speaker 3: y'all had going on. Okay, but you know if y'all
- 26:01Speaker 3: had two houses, I mean y'all had a house together
- 26:05Speaker 3: and one of them, yeah said, I ain't gonna pay
- 26:09Speaker 3: on it. Both both of y'all gonna be hurt. Okayuse
- 26:15Speaker 3: both y'all on that. It ain't nothing. It ain't nothing
- 26:19Speaker 3: that neither one of y'all.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Y'all ain't getting away from each other day either, gotcha?
- 26:25Speaker 1: Gotcha? Gotcha. Is there anything else that you think the
- 26:31Speaker 1: people need to know as far as what you offer
- 26:36Speaker 1: and how they can reach you.
- 26:37Speaker 3: And you can follow me on on Facebook. Be on Facebook.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I'm a ages baby. I gotta I gotta learn the
- 26:45Speaker 3: TikTok and the instagrams and stuff. My mental got on
- 26:50Speaker 3: my head about that for the last month now, so
- 26:52Speaker 3: I'm I'm finna do better. But you follow me on Facebook,
- 26:56Speaker 3: Jay ferguson my number three three six five three six
- 27:01Speaker 3: four two three. You can call me anytime money through
- 27:05Speaker 3: Friday eight to eight anytime after that. I pretty much
- 27:10Speaker 3: like set appointments or schedule schedule calls. I do work
- 27:15Speaker 3: between eight and ten, but it's pretty much just schedule
- 27:19Speaker 3: calls only after their time frame. And basically I just won't.
- 27:24Speaker 3: I just want a community to get better with financial literacy.
- 27:30Speaker 3: They show us to work our butts off to make
- 27:35Speaker 3: a living, to work to survive, and they really get
- 27:38Speaker 3: us money to live a good life. We just gotta
- 27:41Speaker 3: be disciplined enough to accept it and do what we
- 27:45Speaker 3: gotta do to maintain it. And what I learned, if
- 27:51Speaker 3: you're willing to sacrifice six six months to a year
- 27:56Speaker 3: on a budget, work on your credit, it'll with you
- 28:00Speaker 3: three years ahead, and that I haven't found or top
- 28:04Speaker 3: to nobody that don't follow that game plan. And having said,
- 28:10Speaker 3: I'm up to two or three years of what I
- 28:14Speaker 3: thought I would be. You know, if you don't know
- 28:17Speaker 3: what's going out, you don't know what's coming in. That's
- 28:20Speaker 3: part of the problem. It don't matter if you said
- 28:23Speaker 3: vice versa.
- 28:25Speaker 2: You know better. You gotta set up a budget, gotta
- 28:29Speaker 2: be disciplined.
- 28:30Speaker 3: And I really, I really strongly believe when it comes
- 28:34Speaker 3: to our community and the people that that lack financially
- 28:37Speaker 3: see credit. It's the first step to get into discipline
- 28:42Speaker 3: and the consistency we need. Don't run from auto pay.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Out of pay is your best friend. That's that's your
- 28:51Speaker 3: first step is learning how to maintain your money. Because here,
- 28:57Speaker 3: if you know that bill is on out of pay
- 29:00Speaker 3: and you're gonna save money or whatever, you know, you
- 29:03Speaker 3: can't go to Matt Donald's. You know, you can't all
- 29:06Speaker 3: to the such and such because it's gonna come out
- 29:09Speaker 3: on that card. But once you, like I say, stay
- 29:11Speaker 3: down and get it maintained right, you will see it.
- 29:15Speaker 3: You'll start reaping the benefits, the small rewards, rewards yourself,
- 29:19Speaker 3: no matter how small the victory is. Reward yourself, be
- 29:23Speaker 3: grateful and just always be willing to learn.
- 29:29Speaker 1: It all.
- 29:31Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Yeah, that's pretty much it is.
- 29:35Speaker 1: It all tied in with like home own ship, Like
- 29:39Speaker 1: I know that you have to they have like new
- 29:45Speaker 1: homeowners situations and stuff. Does your credit really take a
- 29:51Speaker 1: hit with with doing it a certain way?
- 29:56Speaker 3: It only take a hit. Only take a hit if
- 30:01Speaker 3: you get started and don't do what you need to
- 30:03Speaker 3: do once you buy that property. Oh you know all
- 30:08Speaker 3: that not far as you can get property with bad credit.
- 30:13Speaker 3: But I don't recommend it because you just you just
- 30:16Speaker 3: already you're lose in front of start, you know what
- 30:19Speaker 3: I mean. Tell you a little bit about about me
- 30:22Speaker 3: and my wife's story. I have bad credit, she had
- 30:25Speaker 3: decent credit. When we first purchased a home. I was
- 30:29Speaker 3: willing to put a good amount of cash down because
- 30:32Speaker 3: I know it was me holding us back, you know
- 30:35Speaker 3: what I mean. And they looked at it and said, bro,
- 30:39Speaker 3: I'm sorry, you don't get yourself together. I can't help you,
- 30:44Speaker 3: but we can go this route. But the interest rate
- 30:46Speaker 3: was so high, like yeah, I might well get my
- 30:50Speaker 3: credit situated with Okay, So long story short, did the
- 30:55Speaker 3: process for six months, went back to the same Brotherton
- 30:59Speaker 3: and there the thing got the first home ownership because
- 31:04Speaker 3: my credit was good. Now I was willing to put
- 31:07Speaker 3: over six thousand dollars down with bad credit. With good credit,
- 31:14Speaker 3: what I said at the closing table, I won't say.
- 31:17Speaker 3: We paid just right at twelve hundred dollars for a
- 31:20Speaker 3: three bedroom, two badroom, you know what I mean. And
- 31:23Speaker 3: then a month later we got nine hundred and twenty
- 31:27Speaker 3: three dollars of it back of something from the escrow.
- 31:31Speaker 3: So pretty much three hundred and something dollars four hundred
- 31:35Speaker 3: dollars for a new home owner with good credit. One
- 31:38Speaker 3: hundred creus go on both parties, you know what I mean.
- 31:41Speaker 3: That's just my you know, everybody's very don't quote me,
- 31:45Speaker 3: you know whatever. Everybody's situation different. But it just shows
- 31:50Speaker 3: the difference of me with bad credit willing to spend
- 31:53Speaker 3: this amount of money when all I had to do
- 31:56Speaker 3: it get my shit together, and these people gave me money.
- 31:59Speaker 3: You know what I mean, I still save the money
- 32:01Speaker 3: that I was willing to put down on the home.
- 32:04Speaker 2: You know what I mean? That right there, I got
- 32:07Speaker 2: my you know, me.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Got you.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I got you.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I recommend get credit if you want to make
- 32:20Speaker 3: any big purchase because interest is tired to anything that
- 32:23Speaker 3: we can't afford. But when you discipline and know what
- 32:28Speaker 3: you what you're doing, you can benefit from it and
- 32:33Speaker 3: use it to your advantage instead of being a crutch.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Okay, Well, it's always a pleasure to have you on
- 32:42Speaker 1: my show. You know, I'm bringing you back.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yes, anytime. I'm gonna be on my laptop next time.
- 32:49Speaker 3: I'm sorry that y'all can't see my face like y'all
- 32:53Speaker 3: see me, like y'all feel my energy and stuff.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna bring you back. I'm gonna bring you. We're
- 32:59Speaker 1: gonna run it because I do feel like your credit
- 33:05Speaker 1: is very important. And if you know there's outlets that
- 33:09Speaker 1: you can choose and use to to better your credit,
- 33:13Speaker 1: then why not. You know, my mama used to say,
- 33:17Speaker 1: you gotta spend money to make money, yes, and so
- 33:22Speaker 1: you know, investing yourself with doing credit repair if you can.
- 33:27Speaker 1: You know a lot of people may not be able
- 33:29Speaker 1: to afford it, and that's okay, but save towards you know,
- 33:33Speaker 1: better in yourself.
- 33:35Speaker 3: And see like it even got to the point, you know,
- 33:40Speaker 3: like when it comes to credit. It's really just about
- 33:44Speaker 3: applying yourself because you can repair yourself your credit for free.
- 33:49Speaker 3: I just recommend you to answer frue questions and you
- 33:54Speaker 3: know do if you're gonna do it yourself, just ask
- 33:57Speaker 3: the frue questions first so you won't read different things
- 34:02Speaker 3: and then be like, man, you know what this is confusing?
- 34:05Speaker 3: I see why they pay and you know stuff like that.
- 34:08Speaker 3: All you gotta do is just as that's the right
- 34:11Speaker 3: person and you they'll put you on the right track.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I'm gonna help you for free. I'm gonna show you
- 34:19Speaker 3: exactly how to how to do it.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And if you're not about to make me cry on
- 34:23Speaker 1: this podcast.
- 34:24Speaker 3: I'm gonna show you exactly how to repair credit and
- 34:30Speaker 3: and you're gonna be showing people how to repair credit with.
- 34:35Speaker 2: You.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it doesn't even it ain't even as hard as
- 34:38Speaker 3: we think it is. It just costs a little money.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Like you said, invest in yourself. And I tell people
- 34:44Speaker 3: credit repair on how it's just house certified mail money,
- 34:49Speaker 3: right right. But you can do it yourself, you know
- 34:52Speaker 3: what I mean. It's just accountability. Just just do.
- 34:56Speaker 1: It, gotcha, gotcha? Well, I thank you and I appreciate
- 35:01Speaker 1: you for coming on tonight, and as I said before,
- 35:04Speaker 1: I'm going to bring you back, okay, so the people
- 35:08Speaker 1: can see put a face to the voice.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am, and thank you for having me.
- 35:14Speaker 3: I got a call at nine, so at nine thirty
- 35:18Speaker 3: I will be giving you a call if that's okay,
- 35:20Speaker 3: so we can play with the credit.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And you have a blessed night.
- 35:24Speaker 1: And thank you so much, you too, And I want
