  Jack comes from a past of sexual abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, the New Age, the occult,

  So let's hear part of your story first.

  We've talked to Doreen before, and we've got a lot of newer listeners, even since you've

  been on with us last Doreen.

  So we'll just get to the basics and the bullet points of your story.

  But Jack Marino, Chen, and by the way, your website is jackmarino.com, go ahead and share

  a little bit.

  I mean, you've got a fascinating background, especially we've got a pastor come on and

  talk about free Masonry and just how it is so not Christian.

  But just share what you could about your testimony there.

  I come from my abuse in my childhood.
• 3:21
  I ended up turning to supernatural experiences that I had as a child to really try to make
• 3:27
  sense of my world.
• 3:29
  And I put those experiences way higher as an authority than the small amount of Christianity
• 3:34
  that I grew up in as a nominally Christian home.
• 3:37
  And when I got into high school, I got the book The Secret and I became really involved
• 3:42
  in the law of attraction and the idea that I could create my own reality.
• 3:46
  That was very attractive to me when I had a lot of pain that I was working through.
• 3:51
  And so throughout my life, kind of diving into that, having these supernatural experiences,
• 3:55
  wanting to make sense of them, I ended up getting into the new age, going to those kind
• 4:00
  of burning man type festivals.
• 4:03
  I became addicted to drugs and alcohol in high school.
• 4:07
  And that progressed just psychedelic drugs and then using drugs to have experiences that
• 4:13
  were supernatural and kind of getting out of this realm, really trying to escape reality
• 4:18
  and make my own.
• 4:20
  And to make a long story short, that ended up leading me to Alistair Crowley and his teachings
• 4:27
  and then eventually to an order called the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, where I practiced
• 4:34
  ritual magic in a free Mason lodge, still trying to say that I knew Christ, that I believed
• 4:40
  in Christ, because I was told that you could be a Christian and practice those practices.
• 4:45
  But truly, I was deceived and that was not true.
• 4:49
  And it was there that Jesus saved me and convicted me of my sin.
• 4:53
  Wow.
• 4:54
  Well, praise God.

  What?

  That must have been pretty difficult, but I'm sure you're a pro at it at this point.

  But D, Doreen Virtue, let's go to you next.

  And I want to share a little bit about your background and for those of our newer members
• 5:08
  of the audience, but how did the three of you connect?
• 5:11
  Why don't you share that story first?
• 5:13
  Hi, well, it's just, it's all glory to God that he connected us.
• 5:18
  I mean, we really give all credit to him and for saving us out of such darkness and
• 5:24
  using us now for his glory and our podcast.
• 5:27
  And so for those who are not familiar with my story, before I was saved, I was one of,
• 5:32
  or depending on what criteria you look at, the top selling new age author.
• 5:38
  And as you said, I was being toured around the world, treated like a rock star and sold
• 5:44
  out audiences.
• 5:45
  I was on Oprah, CNN, the view, all of the liberal shows.
• 5:50
  And I was a liberal myself back then, theologically, except I was pro life.
• 5:54
  That was kind of made me an anomaly in my world.
• 5:57
  But other than that, I was, I always say I was left of Hillary Clinton.
• 6:01
  I was in the green party.
• 6:03
  And you know, that was, that was my whole world, was just the new age and liberalism.
• 6:10
  And I thought I'd live that way forever.
• 6:12
  And like Jack said, I thought I was a Christian because I grew up in church.
• 6:17
  It was a false church Christian science.
• 6:19
  We went to church twice a week.
• 6:21
  I was given the King James Bible as a child and we read it daily, cherry picking it.
• 6:26
  And honestly, the, I think the archaic language as a child was a stumbling block for me and
• 6:31
  the KJV.
• 6:32
  I still read the KJV, but I prefer a more modern, but, you know, dependable language like
• 6:39
  the NASV, which is based on the old, the oldest known biblical manuscript, even older than
• 6:45
  the KJV is based upon.
• 6:47
  So anyway, I, as I was reading the Bible that led to my salvation, God used Deuteronomy
• 6:55
  1810 through 12 to convict me of the new, new age practices I was doing up until then
• 7:01
  because people complimented me and said that I was helping them, comforting them.
• 7:06
  I was, I seem to have all this worldly success.
• 7:09
  So I thought God was pleased with me.
• 7:11
  And, and I was just dumbstruck when I read Deuteronomy 1810 through 12 that I was an abomination
• 7:18
  because I was doing fortune telling divination, mediumship, and interpreting signs and omens.
• 7:25
  And I had to keep reading that over and over again.
• 7:28
  I checked other translations, even, is this true that I am doing this and it makes me a
• 7:34
  detestable abomination to the Lord.
• 7:37
  And that's when I got on my knees and was crying and repented and said, I obviously don't
• 7:42
  know what I'm doing.
• 7:43
  Please, Lord, take over my life as my Lord and Savior.
• 7:46
  And I got out of the new age that was right around September 2017.
• 7:51
  And I was fired from my new age publisher within two months.
• 7:55
  And then we, my husband and I were living this luxurious lifestyle.
• 7:59
  We had to just kind of dump everything, caring for my elderly parents and just move.

  And I want to just mention this because I get pushed back on this, those 70 books and
• 8:11
  card decks and 38 languages that I had created before I was saved, they're heretical, they're
• 8:16
  blasphemous.
• 8:17
  If they were self-published, I would have pulled them immediately off the shelf, but they're
• 8:22
  licensed.
• 8:23
  And so all I can do is warn people if you've got my old products, burn them or throw them
• 8:29
  away and please don't buy them, please don't buy any new age products.
• 8:34
  They are, they're a pathway to hell is what they are.
• 8:38
  I didn't know that at the time.
• 8:39
  I thought they were the pathway to the truth, but it was the false light that I was
• 8:44
  unfortunately following.
• 8:45
  But praise the Lord for taking the scales off my eyes and pointing me to the true light
• 8:51
  are Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  Yes.
• 8:53
  And praise God.

  And you can send up a prayer saying anyone that picks up any of your past stuff that
• 8:59
  they would be led to Jesus Christ and the truth and somehow.

  Well, my, my old, I'm sorry, my old websites on the back of all of my books and cards.

  So they go to that website screen page that you saw, you showed on your, ah, so you're
• 9:18
  going to get them anyway.
• 9:19
  Yeah.

  They get very confused at first.
• 9:21
  They're like, wait, you're telling me not to talk to angels now because that was my
• 9:24
  real house was teaching people how to ask angels for favors, which of course is unbiblical
• 9:29
  and.
• 9:30
  Touch by an angel.

  Yeah.
• 9:32
  That, that was me before Jesus saved me.
• 9:34
  Well, you know, what, before we get to Jen's story, um, when I was, gosh, in the 1980s,

  I was into positive thinking.
• 9:43
  I was a believer, but I was also into this positive thinking, Robert Schuller, Norman
• 9:48
  Vincent Peale and some of these other new age guys.
• 9:52
  And I didn't even realize it because it's, it's possibility thinking, right?
• 9:56
  What's wrong with that?
• 9:57
  But, um, man, that can lead you down the wrong path.
• 9:59
  So, uh, thank God, but, um, Jen, Niza, let's, let's hear your story.

  Um, you were a psychic and, uh, you were making money, probably good money off of doing
• 10:11
  that.
• 10:12
  Tell us how long you're doing that.
• 10:13
  What got into, what got you into it and, uh, how you got out of it.
• 10:18
  Well, it all started for me as a child and similarly to Jack and Doreen.
• 10:22
  I was raised, well, I was raised culturally Catholic, so I may have said I was a Christian
• 10:28
  had you asked me throughout those years.
• 10:30
  I was the furthest thing from a Christian, of course.
• 10:33
  I had a tarot card reading at 13, which truly opened the door for me.
• 10:38
  I was so intrigued by it.
• 10:40
  I started to pursue divination fervently after that.
• 10:45
  And I just kept seeking divination for everything, every desire of my heart, every matter of
• 10:52
  my life, every area of my life, and got my own tarot cards kept getting readings.
• 10:58
  Oh my goodness, numerology, astrology, every tool of divination, basically, I, I, I messed
• 11:06
  around with and, um, wow, it's hard thinking about it, honestly.
• 11:11
  And that escalated, uh, I'm going to kind of, you know, also long story shorted, but that
• 11:16
  escalated demonic oppression.
• 11:19
  And in my early 20s, I had my first communication with whom I believed was a deceased person.
• 11:27
  So that's where the mediumship aspect started.
• 11:30
  I actually was a psychic medium.
• 11:33
  I was doing psychic readings for years, tarot card readings, unfortunately angel card readings.
• 11:38
  We always talk about that.
• 11:41
  Then I moved into psychic mediumship readings.
• 11:43
  I believed I had a gift that could help people, giving them messages from their deceased
• 11:49
  loved ones, uh, connecting them with people from the other side.
• 11:54
  Of course, the air quotes are because those are lies straight out of the pit of hell.
• 11:59
  That is not true.
• 12:00
  We do not communicate with the dead and those familiar spirits are demons masquerading as
• 12:06
  people's loved ones.
• 12:08
  But of course, I was very deceived that whole time.
• 12:12
  And I ended up leading my own divination class, teaching things like, I mean, you just
• 12:18
  mentioned, you know, positive thinking it reminds me of manifesting.
• 12:21
  I taught law of attraction.
• 12:23
  I did chakra balancing, tarot card reading, past life regression, automatic writing, so
• 12:28
  on and so forth.
• 12:29
  And all of this led to a moment in my 36th year at the very end of my 36th year of such
• 12:37
  horrific demonic oppression that I just cried out to Jesus and just, and that's the
• 12:44
  Holy Spirit.
• 12:45
  And I know that now I wouldn't have known that then I truly didn't even understand what
• 12:50
  had happened.
• 12:51
  I cried out to Jesus, not my spirit guide, not my deceased grandmother or grandfather, but
• 12:57
  Jesus Christ, the Jesus, you know, Jesus, I never served.
• 13:01
  I never cared.
• 13:02
  I really didn't.
• 13:03
  I didn't read the Bible and care about the Bible.
• 13:06
  I also didn't debunk the Bible.
• 13:08
  I wasn't that person, but I wanted nothing to do with it.
• 13:11
  And there I am in this moment and it's knee jerk.
• 13:15
  There was no contemplation.
• 13:16
  I just cried out on the name of Jesus Christ and a piece overwhelmed me that started the
• 13:24
  journey.
• 13:25
  And about 10 months later was when an old friend of mine from a divination class, we had become
• 13:31
  very close.
• 13:32
  We were in the new age community together.
• 13:34
  She had been saved from the last time that I had seen her to this time and she came
• 13:38
  over for dinner and she told me about Jesus and the church that she was going to.
• 13:43
  And I said no to her invitation that weekend, but a month later, the Holy Spirit again nudged
• 13:50
  me and I went to that church, heard the gospel.
• 13:53
  New I was a sinner that needed to be saved and was overwhelmed with the Holy Spirit and
• 14:00
  believing in our Lord Jesus and knowing that it was him.
• 14:04
  It was 10 months prior that when I cried out on his name that it was he who saved me and
• 14:09
  gave me a chance not to die in my sin.
• 14:14
  What a great story.
• 14:15
  I mean, all three of you, man, powerful testimonies and you can reach people that I would never
• 14:21
  be able to reach.
• 14:22
  And that includes your new podcast, new age to new heart.

  Before we go on and I'm going to read some scripture in a minute, there it is new age
• 14:31
  to new heart.

  You just, I mean, this is brand spanking new like early 2024, a month ago or something like

  that.

  We'll talk a little bit more about that.

  But I want Jeff to bring up the before and after picture.

  Anyway, go ahead, bring that up.

  So the top picture there that that's you guys before.

  And I'm looking at those and go, wow, those looks like some wild ladies.

  And then while, while things up there and then you've got the bottom picture there,

  the bottom right and you're going, well, praise God, the true light of Christ.

  You can see it shining through you there.

  And obviously just talking to each one of you today, you can see the light of Christ.

  And I'm praising God for that.

  But as a warning, and I'll get back to Jack in a minute, I just want to share something

  from first John 4, it's very relevant where it starts off by saying, beloved, do not
• 15:27
  believe every spirit.
• 15:30
  But test the spirits to see whether they are from God because many false prophets have
• 15:35
  gone out into the world.
• 15:38
  By this, you know the spirit of God.
• 15:40
  Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
• 15:44
  Pretty simple.
• 15:45
  Verse 3 in every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.
• 15:51
  This is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard is coming and now is already
• 15:55
  in the world.
• 15:56
  And now the verse, most Christians know is verse 4, you are from God, little children
• 16:01
  and have overcome them because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

  But keep going.
• 16:08
  Context.
• 16:09
  You guys are learning in your walks with the Lord context, context, context, verse 5, they
• 16:14
  are from the world.
• 16:16
  Therefore they speak as from the world and the world listens to them.
• 16:20
  We are from God, the one who knows God listens to us.
• 16:24
  The one who is not from God does not listen to us.
• 16:28
  And by this, we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
• 16:34
  So that brings what we're talking about to light here, we can discern.
• 16:40
  We can have to be discerning of spirits and that's very important.
• 16:43
  And I wonder if Jack, if you would like to speak to that for a moment, the sensitivity
• 16:49
  to spirits, because we're talking about we're living in this world, but we know there's
• 16:53
  a spiritual dimension.
• 16:54
  There are forces of darkness that are very real and very active.
• 16:58
  And all three of you have been in touch with these forces or promoted these worthy enemies
• 17:04
  of God.
• 17:05
  So Jack, what are your thoughts on that?
• 17:07
  Right.
• 17:08
  Yeah, that's so true.
• 17:09
  And I'm so encouraged by everything you said, it's so important to know the Bible.
• 17:14
  If we don't know the Bible, then how can we test the spirits?
• 17:17
  And something that was really deceptive for me was, I thought I knew Jesus, but Jesus
• 17:22
  had been completely redefined to fit the narrative of what this cult ultimately was selling.
• 17:29
  And that fake Jesus who you could become or you have to be your own savior, really
• 17:35
  any fake Jesus that is not the Jesus of the Bible, who he claimed to be and not save
• 17:40
  you.
• 17:41
  You cannot get forgiveness of sins, eternal life through a false Jesus.
• 17:46
  And so these, these familiar spirits or these deceptive spirits, they promise a lot.

  But if we don't know the word, we don't, we won't know how to be discerning and see
• 17:58
  what is, what is of God and what is not.
• 18:01
  And for me, the biggest impact that that had was yes, if I had known the Bible, these supernatural
• 18:07
  experiences that I was having, I would have been able to see that they, what they were
• 18:11
  teaching me was opposed to scripture and opposed to who God claims to be.
• 18:16
  And I also would have seen that the Jesus that I was following the Jesus in quotes was
• 18:21
  not the true Jesus.
• 18:23
  And therefore, there was no wonder that I was headed for hell.
• 18:27
  So back to you, Doreen, I just loved the title of your book, Deceived No More.
• 18:32
  And then the subtitle says, how Jesus led me out of the new age and into his word.
• 18:40
  And once you get in the word of God, you know what happens, friends, you can be transformed
• 18:44
  by the renewing of your mind.
• 18:45
  Why?
• 18:46
  Because the word is alive and active and sharper than any double edged sword.
• 18:51
  And I appreciate what you have on your website, Doreen, say no to Jesus calling new age
• 18:56
  channel books and others.
• 18:58
  You'd probably take a lot of heat from the Christian community for some of the things.

  And by the way, you other ladies probably take heat from professing Christians as well.
• 19:07
  Part of the reason, and I'll throw this to Doreen, is that there is a level of biblical
• 19:12
  illiteracy in the church.
• 19:15
  People think something is Christian when it is not.
• 19:17
  Doreen, would you like to speak to that, please?
• 19:19
  Absolutely.
• 19:21
  When I was first saved, I naively thought I could go into any church that said Christian,
• 19:28
  not my Christian science church, of course, that grew up in, but just Christian church.
• 19:31
  And that would be pious and biblical.
• 19:34
  And it was in my husband and I, we went to a lot of churches and we could see new age
• 19:41
  elements there that when we would talk about them, we were poking a golden calf idol.
• 19:47
  We could see that we were upsetting them.
• 19:49
  For instance, one church we went to had a yoga studio on the church campus, like right
• 19:55
  there.
• 19:56
  And they didn't see anything wrong with it.
• 19:57
  And many of the congregants were using rakey energy on each other.

  And that was not frowned upon.
• 20:05
  One of the churches I went to, that it seemed otherwise solid.
• 20:10
  The pastor started talking about one of his friends could see angels and he went on and
• 20:16
  on about how wonderful that is and that we should aspire to see angels.
• 20:20
  And that was the world I just left.
• 20:21
  So I actually walked out of that service just midway through because that's what I just
• 20:28
  left.
• 20:29
  The so-called prophets that are on the stage of a lot of these churches, they are so like
• 20:37
  the psychics that Jan and I were psychics, I think Jack doubled in being a psychic and went
• 20:42
  to them.
• 20:43
  And so, you know, a biblical prophet is one thing.
• 20:46
  They heard from God.
• 20:48
  They would call the people to repent and come back to God's covenant.
• 20:53
  The biblical prophets were unpopular.
• 20:55
  They were persecuted.
• 20:57
  They were faithful to God's word.
• 20:59
  They were 100% accurate, Deuteronomy 18, so you better be accurate or it's a death penalty.

  But the so-called prophets today, which we all believe it's possible for there to be
• 21:10
  prophets today, we're kind of what you would call soft cessationists, that God is God,
• 21:15
  he can do whatever he wants, obviously.

  So, and we see prophets in the book of Revelation.

  But we haven't found a prophet yet in the modern day who meets the biblical requirements
• 21:27
  at all.
• 21:28
  The prophets we see today are just their psychics with a Christian veneer, stroking people's
• 21:33
  egos, puffing up their pride, giving them false hope for a better tomorrow, telling them,
• 21:39
  you're going to be famous, you're going to be rich, that's not what the biblical prophets
• 21:45
  would talk about at all.
• 21:46
  So we warn about these things in our New Age to New Heart podcast.

  It's one of the reasons we started this podcast, David, is because we're very concerned that
• 21:55
  a lot of professing Christians are not aware that the devil is using the church for his
• 22:02
  evil plan.

  He's actually sneaking the New Age in like a Trojan horse through Jesus calling, which
• 22:10
  contradicts the Bible.

  If anyone would take the moment to look at the verse, she just puts a verse number at
• 22:15
  the bottom, she doesn't put the verse, just open your Bible and compare what that verse
• 22:20
  says to what Sarah Young's false Jesus says, you'll see, it's nothing to do with each
• 22:25
  other.

  And Jesus calling contradicts itself, every printing, they change what supposedly Jesus
• 22:31
  said.
• 22:32
  And so in yoga, I know I get a lot of pushback about that.
• 22:36
  But it's Christian yoga.
• 22:38
  Yeah.

  So let's just call it a Christian Ouija board, too, you know, you can't Christianize paganism
• 22:45
  and then they say, well, the meat, you know, that was in the pagan temple, Paul said,

  we could eat that.

  But yoga's analogous to the pagan temple, not to the meat, yoga is using your body to
• 22:57
  be a, a graven image of Shiva and his manifestations.

  Yeah.

  It's breaking the first two commandments and there's no way to redeem it.

  You can stretch.

  I think stretching is important, but do not do the Sun Salutation series at all.

  Was that, you seem to be the one that was the instigator, but maybe I'm wrong.

  Just tell us how you, you connected with them.

  You're right about the instigator, actually, sister, my sister Doreen is so gracious and

  so humble.

  I had three years ago.

  My timing is a little off and I messaged Doreen on Instagram and I asked if I could interview

  I was so excited when I saw a Doreen Salvation testimony.

  She was saved a few years after me and coming out of the new age, Doreen was an icon to us

  in the psychic community and the new age community.

  So I was so filled with joy when I saw her Salvation and she was so kind to agree to let

  me interview her.

  And I could say the rest is history.

  We became good friends, dear sisters in Christ, of course.

  Jack came on my podcast and we all got to be together at the GP conference in Atlanta

  So quite a few years ago in the beginning of my walk, I actually posed to a couple of

  sisters in Christ doing a show like the view, except the Christian version of it.

  But we had no idea knowledge, I know right now or we didn't know what we were doing.

  So that never came to pass and the Lord brought it back up just a few months ago.

  And I couldn't think of it.

  I couldn't have thought of anybody other than Doreen and Jack, people who I would want

  to team up with and continue to expose the new age, educate people on the new age

  and warn people about the new age.

  And the first platform wasn't a good one.

  And then, but God made this whole thing happen all glory to God and the podcast.

  We are having such a great time as well.

  Recording this podcast and I'd like to again, you know, just we're very thankful to Jack

  for doing the technological aspect.

  Yeah, she must be the youngest because she gets the tech stuff, right?

  Yeah, that's one of the things, David, in God's providence, he's got us in different age groups.

  And so I'm in my 60s, Jen's in her, okay, you can say it and then Jack's younger than us.

  And so it kind of, I don't want to give away anyone else's ages, but 30s.

  So we give, we just kind of run the gamut of women and different age groups coming

  from different backgrounds.

  And yet it's the same darkness with the same author, Satan and the one God who saved us all.
