Derrick Gathers, already locked up for shooting a South Carolina trooper, just got slapped with another 15 years in federal prison — 80 months of which will run consecutively after his current sentence, adding nearly six and a half years to his total time behind bars. The violence began during a Bamberg County traffic stop in April 2023, when Gathers allegedly shot Trooper B.A. Frazier in the face and led officers on an 18-mile chase before crashing.
