- 0:45Speaker 2: Tell everybody that Doo Doo would be a fit.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Well be guess you know do rags like That's that's,
- 0:51Speaker 4: you know, very a cultural touchdowns.
- 0:53Speaker 3: It's very important parts of taking care of And I
- 0:57Speaker 3: took that and I unpacked it.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I see what you're saying.
- 1:02Speaker 4: I did a play on the do in it which
- 1:05Speaker 4: is spelled differently, and I made it. Yeah, you're doing
- 1:11Speaker 4: well doing the gavel in two months brand does it show?
- 1:13Speaker 4: It does where it was a little rusty in the
- 1:15Speaker 4: chambers today possibly almost three, possibly almost three, almost three October.
- 1:21Speaker 4: In October we do November, December, Jane, it's gonna be
- 1:24Speaker 4: three months.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Thanks for being with us, man.
- 1:27Speaker 2: We took a whole summer off, Summer Break.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Australia, Australia, Welcome to Yo. Right on. We took a
- 1:37Speaker 1: break full the Beatles, took a break full of the
- 1:40Speaker 1: Christmas time and then January moving.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been a it's been a thing. But we're here.
- 1:47Speaker 1: We're back here. I can win a couple of doozy
- 1:49Speaker 1: you got Jerry.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Yes, I get the feeling. Yours is better than mine.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Maybe not, I don't know. I mean they're interesting folk.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Like if I was my cases five or six of ten, I.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Would put mine right than there. Yeah, what do you
- 2:05Speaker 1: want to do? But together it's a ten of ten episode.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Uh, you won the coin toss beforehand, so you need
- 2:10Speaker 3: to call it in the I'll go first.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Heads its heads, what do you want to do?
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'll go first, all right, I'll defer to the second half. Um,
- 2:19Speaker 1: we're at Judge Jerry's quarters.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Jerry Jr.
- 2:22Speaker 4: We have Matt Mangum Mangam who's suing for one thousand dollars.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Or open Mangum style.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Or a share of the company.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Okay, so either how terrible is this company? Either a
- 2:38Speaker 3: thousand bucks or a share or a share of the company.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Potentially well, Yeah, that's interesting because it will yeah if ah,
- 2:48Speaker 4: if yeah, or he's.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Suing me me me got it? Uh so Madden me
- 2:55Speaker 3: we have watched men. I did Mangnum Style and Niani.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I feel really good.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I'm you are up to date with music.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I am.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And there's one thing I know about you.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Mad and Me.
- 3:04Speaker 3: They were child they did.
- 3:09Speaker 1: They don't do it anymore. You called it quit madd
- 3:11Speaker 1: and me.
- 3:11Speaker 4: They were childhood friends Dan and they learned how to
- 3:16Speaker 4: ride bikes together.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's what.
- 3:19Speaker 1: It's not a board of the story. But but Matt does.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Let us know.
- 3:22Speaker 4: They decided to get into the do rag slash wave
- 3:26Speaker 4: cap business. Yes, I didn't know what a wave cap was,
- 3:29Speaker 4: but I got We got a four foul tutorial in
- 3:32Speaker 4: this which is wonderful.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Know what to do I know? Yeah, yeah, it's just
- 3:35Speaker 1: a cat.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Kids have some we I learned about things that you
- 3:40Speaker 4: can do to your hair to make your waves more predominant.
- 3:44Speaker 4: It was very educational, Judge Jerry, I will say so.
- 3:48Speaker 4: They they both grew up using items that they thought
- 3:53Speaker 4: and thought that it would be good to get into this.
- 3:55Speaker 4: So they know hair, they know do rags, they know
- 3:58Speaker 4: different brushes and stuff like that. So they're going to
- 4:00Speaker 4: get into this business. And he claims that without him
- 4:05Speaker 4: the company wouldn't be as successful as it is now.
- 4:11Speaker 1: We'll get there.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Judge Jerry asked why he's not with the business anymore,
- 4:16Speaker 4: and he says he has no idea.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Me ghosted him. If they have a business together, you
- 4:22Speaker 3: can't just ghost. So here's what was happening. So Matt
- 4:26Speaker 3: lived in Connecticut. The business was based out of New
- 4:30Speaker 3: York City. Because the best I can figure the business
- 4:33Speaker 3: is like a media business. They create content based around
- 4:37Speaker 3: uh the do rags and and where he got whatnot.
- 4:42Speaker 4: And so he was coming going to New York City
- 4:44Speaker 4: and back, going to New York City and back all
- 4:47Speaker 4: the time, and uh it was becoming uh problematic for him,
- 4:52Speaker 4: he says, going back and forth. So ghosted them. Basically,
- 4:58Speaker 4: Son says, that's not true. We're successful because we have
- 5:03Speaker 4: viral TikTok videos.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Viral TikTok videos are a big deal.
- 5:06Speaker 4: These TikTok videos are actually not uh so viral TikTok videos.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You know.
- 5:11Speaker 3: An interesting thing about TikTok is one time we did
- 5:15Speaker 3: a slap the Teacher challenge on it, and that was
- 5:19Speaker 3: appropriate got deleted. They deleted it and it was a
- 5:27Speaker 3: funny video, but not great for kids to do. No
- 5:31Speaker 3: good adults. I thought they would get the scenting adults
- 5:37Speaker 3: for the slap of teacher challenge.
- 5:39Speaker 1: They didn't get the nuance.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Uh And I was a teacher, you were a teacher.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I should have slapped you back. Should should have gone back.
- 5:51Speaker 4: So they're successful because of the TikTok videos, and it's
- 5:55Speaker 4: uh TikTok showing how to get what what I said. Basically,
- 5:59Speaker 4: Haroway was predominant upkeep all that good stuff, how to
- 6:03Speaker 4: tie and tuck, the do rag or the wave caps.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Et cetera, all that good stuff.
- 6:08Speaker 4: And Matt says that a lot of those ideas were
- 6:11Speaker 4: his ideas, and and Me says, it's not about the ideas,
- 6:19Speaker 4: it's about who executes the ideas. And I was the
- 6:22Speaker 4: one who executed ideas. It's him in the videos. And
- 6:25Speaker 4: he shows one video that he says has five million
- 6:29Speaker 4: viewss nine five millions, five million views it Matt pipes
- 6:36Speaker 4: up and says, that's cap your honor?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Is it? Wave cap?
- 6:40Speaker 1: Okay, that's cap your honor? Cap And I'm not just
- 6:44Speaker 1: speaking out of my buttocks.
- 6:46Speaker 2: He said, that's what he says. He said he he.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Says, that's cap your honor, and I'm not just speaking
- 6:51Speaker 4: out of my buttocks.
- 6:52Speaker 3: It has to be a newer episode of Jerry, even
- 6:54Speaker 3: though Jerry's been canceled, right to use that CAP that's
- 6:58Speaker 3: definitely been around for a few years, right, Well, yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 3: but Jerry's also was only around for a few years.
- 7:03Speaker 3: CAP no CAP, but this is CAP, this is CAP.
- 7:07Speaker 3: That what he is saying about the five million views
- 7:10Speaker 3: is CAP. The videos were paid promotions, so he was
- 7:14Speaker 3: paying for those views. And me says, sure, but even that.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Was my idea before Matt left, that we were making
- 7:22Speaker 4: no money, we had no followers, we were getting no views,
- 7:26Speaker 4: and I what, okay, and I decide to spend some money.
- 7:33Speaker 4: And now we have tons of views and lots of
- 7:35Speaker 4: followers and we're making money.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And now he wants back in.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I noticed that he was trying less and less and less,
- 7:42Speaker 4: and he didn't want to come back coming to New
- 7:45Speaker 4: York as often as he was. And so yeah, ghost
- 7:49Speaker 4: to him, stop talking to him, started doing everything myself.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Jerry asks if they owned the company Togethern says that
- 7:58Speaker 4: I was the one that had the capital to start
- 8:01Speaker 4: the business.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Okay, so it's my name that is on all the documents.
- 8:05Speaker 3: So Matt's name isn't on any document, not like an uh.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I always say order of operations. You know what I'm
- 8:11Speaker 3: talking about, the thing we signed together.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, no, man, we don't see any documents.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But Matt also doesn't dispute that.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Gotcha.
- 8:20Speaker 4: It's very important that Matt. Matt wants everyone to know
- 8:23Speaker 4: that these are his ideas.
- 8:25Speaker 2: That's right, But he doesn't have an operating agreement. That's
- 8:27Speaker 2: what it's called. We have one of those, you and I'm.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Sure we do. Matt says, these are my ideas.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I'm gonna need to see one of those, by the way,
- 8:38Speaker 3: ready to redo it.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Matt says, these are my ideas. Says ideas don't matter.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Only execution. Matt says, ideas do matter. Look at the Apple,
- 8:53Speaker 4: Look at iPhone in the blue text.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Look at the Apple.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Look at the iPhone the blue text. That was an
- 9:00Speaker 4: idea that someone had. And if you don't have blue text,
- 9:04Speaker 4: you're embarrassed. I feel like I'm getting zuckerbergs.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Here, getting zuckerberged time out. I know he's getting Winklevalls Winkle. Yes, whatever,
- 9:17Speaker 3: he's not getting Zuckerbergeducker. He wishes he is Zuckerberg. He
- 9:20Speaker 3: wishes he was getting Sucker. He wished wishered. And then
- 9:26Speaker 3: he starts to get like a little emotional. He says, honestly,
- 9:29Speaker 3: it's not about the one thousand dollars. I just want
- 9:33Speaker 3: to I just want to get my job back. He
- 9:37Speaker 3: has millions of he has millions.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Of TikTok views. I just want my job back. I
- 9:43Speaker 4: need my job back. And Judge Jerry's ready to roll.
- 9:48Speaker 4: So I'm confused.
- 9:49Speaker 2: He never got fired from a job.
- 9:51Speaker 3: No, he's just showing showing up. So to get your
- 9:54Speaker 3: job back, you just have to show up, right me
- 9:58Speaker 3: isn't saying you can't be there?
- 10:00Speaker 4: I this is what it comes down to, can I
- 10:02Speaker 4: Can I tell you what?
- 10:03Speaker 2: There's no way he's getting a thousand dollars.
- 10:05Speaker 1: So here's what it comes down to. Basically, he says.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I I we were collaborative. I gave him ideas, he
- 10:14Speaker 4: started doing those ideas, and he wants some compensation for
- 10:19Speaker 4: those ideas.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That's what it comes down to.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not getting a thousand dollars.
- 10:25Speaker 3: He has no quantifiable evidence that he should get a
- 10:28Speaker 3: thousand dollars.
- 10:29Speaker 1: So he's not getting it right, So Judge Jerry knows.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So Judge Jerry says, I can't give you a job.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I can't make him hire you, and I can't make
- 10:38Speaker 4: him give you a portion of the company. But I
- 10:41Speaker 4: think a thousand dollars for your ideas is fair. I
- 10:44Speaker 4: think you're a thousand. I think one thousand dollars for
- 10:47Speaker 4: your ideas is a fair compensation. And now you you,
- 10:50Speaker 4: you guys can work out the rest of it on
- 10:52Speaker 4: your own, on your own dime.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Jim Panda had the idea of a pond, like we
- 10:58Speaker 3: put a pond in the studio.
- 11:00Speaker 2: You have done that, Yeah, so that now we open
- 11:02Speaker 2: the money for the pond idea?
- 11:03Speaker 1: Is it making us money?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Yeah, even though there's no record of that and Jerry's court,
- 11:10Speaker 3: it's more of an an ethical though, Like ethically, I
- 11:13Speaker 3: think we would open the money for the pond.
- 11:16Speaker 2: He says that all the ideas were his.
- 11:18Speaker 1: He doesn't dispute it.
- 11:21Speaker 2: My gosh, this is so.
- 11:22Speaker 4: He says, you get a thousand dollars for your ideas,
- 11:25Speaker 4: to which and then the judge Jerry stands up and
- 11:29Speaker 4: Matt says, any can I give you one thousand dollars
- 11:33Speaker 4: and cop a job.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And he says no, fade to black. Wow, And that's
- 11:42Speaker 1: how that ends.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Man. He's happy to have it done.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Hey, can I give you a thousand dollars in cop
- 11:46Speaker 1: the job?
- 11:47Speaker 2: No?
- 11:49Speaker 1: And there it is there, It is there. It is
- 11:51Speaker 1: Judge Jerry. Judge Jerry never disappoints or regularly disappointms. It
- 11:56Speaker 1: depends what he asked.
- 11:57Speaker 3: We're back in my home court, which is a judgement.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, where everybody knows your name.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Uh.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Nikia Young is suing her ex boyfriend Kendall Fraser for
- 12:08Speaker 3: two nine twenty three dollars in parking tickets, repairs on
- 12:13Speaker 3: a car and fee how much nine and twenty three dollars?
- 12:18Speaker 1: Good bit of yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Kendall Fraser counter suing for two seven hundred and forty
- 12:23Speaker 3: dollars for a down payment on the car and a
- 12:27Speaker 3: car alarm installation. Very similar number, yeah, yeah, very similar.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Actually have completely different They both have receipts and they
- 12:34Speaker 3: have different and different things.
- 12:36Speaker 1: We got receipts, got receipts. Yeah, this is my type
- 12:39Speaker 1: of case.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Doesn't matter because Matthews is gonna go rogue as he
- 12:42Speaker 3: does So Nikia is the smallest person I think I've
- 12:47Speaker 3: ever seen. She's just tiny, Like she's tiny, not a
- 12:51Speaker 3: little person.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I'm not saying that.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Like she just like when she walked in the courtroom,
- 12:55Speaker 3: I thought she was like maybe fourteen.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Or fifteen years old.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Oh, she speaks like there is a cue card somewhere.
- 13:01Speaker 3: It's very like she either curious or she just I
- 13:06Speaker 3: don't know, but she comes in and she goes your honor.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Dating this man has been the worst six years of
- 13:12Speaker 3: my life. I regret that. I can't believe it took
- 13:17Speaker 3: me this long to realize it. During this time, he
- 13:21Speaker 3: kept getting these phone calls from other women, especially one
- 13:25Speaker 3: particular female, that he.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Was on and off with, whatever that means.
- 13:30Speaker 3: So I started going to college at Virginia Union College,
- 13:36Speaker 3: and he told me when I went off to college
- 13:38Speaker 3: that he had a friend that went to that school,
- 13:41Speaker 3: and he said it was a boy. Well, it wasn't
- 13:44Speaker 3: a boy, your honor, it was a girl. That's how
- 13:48Speaker 3: she's talking. I'm not making this up. It wasn't a boy,
- 13:51Speaker 3: your honor, it.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Was a girl.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 13:53Speaker 3: And she was friends with my roommate, so she was
- 13:57Speaker 3: in my room all the time. And I found out
- 13:59Speaker 3: that she was dating Kendall when I was dating Kendall
- 14:03Speaker 3: the same time.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Can you really quickly just give me a quick okay?
- 14:08Speaker 1: So Nikiya Nikia dating Kendall.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Kendall goes to college college, he says, I got a
- 14:13Speaker 3: friend that goes there?
- 14:14Speaker 1: Who does?
- 14:15Speaker 3: Kendall says, Kendall, I have a friend that goes there,
- 14:17Speaker 3: so she's she's going to call he gets to college,
- 14:20Speaker 3: so no, it is.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Not her boyfriend. Yes, says hey, I have a friend.
- 14:25Speaker 4: That's right, great, I want to meet your friend. That
- 14:27Speaker 4: friend is a girl, yes, okay.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Yeah, And it turns out that he's actually dated that
- 14:31Speaker 3: girl too.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Why would he introduce her to.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I don't think Kendall is the brightest, but we he
- 14:37Speaker 3: does have receipts, and I need that to be perfect.
- 14:40Speaker 4: I have a friend who is a boy.
- 14:45Speaker 1: He's a boy and should look him.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I'm not dating.
- 14:53Speaker 3: So then matthis sees an opportunity to tell a joke,
- 14:56Speaker 3: which he never passes up, and he says, so you've
- 14:59Speaker 3: found out that y'all was wife in lass. Everybody laughs,
- 15:05Speaker 3: a prolonged period of laughter, longer than the joke deserved,
- 15:10Speaker 3: and Nikiya says, I guess you could say that, And
- 15:13Speaker 3: she said, when I confronted him about it, he lied.
- 15:16Speaker 3: So we broke up. And you know what, I forgave him.
- 15:19Speaker 3: She is the sweetest person alive in the Kia. She never
- 15:21Speaker 3: raises her voice, so kind, so calm, so tiny, and
- 15:25Speaker 3: and just says, I forgave him. I don't want a grudge.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Do we know why he told her that it was
- 15:30Speaker 1: a boy? No one else hung up on the fact
- 15:34Speaker 1: that he told his girlfriend that.
- 15:36Speaker 2: He has a friend.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Unprompted, I have a friend. It's a Averrginia Union. It's
- 15:43Speaker 1: a boy.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I always, I always it's a boy. Nope, no, too late. Sorry,
- 15:55Speaker 2: Uh well, we'll just let her figure it out. So
- 15:59Speaker 2: uh and then he's she says.
- 16:02Speaker 3: The last thing she says is is that female not
- 16:05Speaker 3: a boy?
- 16:06Speaker 2: Now has his child? So I have a friend at college.
- 16:14Speaker 2: It is a boy.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I do not have children with him. Oh no, I've
- 16:21Speaker 3: made a tiny, huge mass. No one is bothered by this,
- 16:24Speaker 3: Matthis doesn't blink an eye. He's busy with his wife
- 16:27Speaker 3: in law's joke. Nothing he can do. So Mathis goes
- 16:31Speaker 3: over to Kendall and goes, uh, so, how long have
- 16:34Speaker 3: y'all have been dating.
- 16:35Speaker 2: He said, you're honor.
- 16:35Speaker 3: We met in high school in two thousand and nine
- 16:37Speaker 3: and we dated on and off.
- 16:39Speaker 2: For six years. And he says I was dating her,
- 16:44Speaker 2: but then we would take a break.
- 16:45Speaker 3: We would go on and off, and when I wasn't
- 16:47Speaker 3: dating her, I was dating other girls. So I never
- 16:52Speaker 3: cheated on her. Why we were together. But when we
- 16:55Speaker 3: weren't together, I one was with other girls. And he said,
- 17:00Speaker 3: so you got another woman pregnant, and he goes yes,
- 17:03Speaker 3: He said how many? And Kendall says two. I have
- 17:06Speaker 3: two children. He says, two different women. Kendall says yes, sir.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Matthews says, how much do you pay in child support?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Oh?
- 17:14Speaker 3: Boy, Kendall should have just lied. He should have just lied.
- 17:17Speaker 3: He said, I don't pay child support. Mathis says, oh,
- 17:20Speaker 3: so they live with you. He goes, no, sir, but
- 17:23Speaker 3: I provide for them the best I can. And Matthew says, well,
- 17:26Speaker 3: how much is that? And he says it's not a
- 17:28Speaker 3: specific amount. And Mathis goes, you see the thing about
- 17:32Speaker 3: child support? He says, that's what they want, a specific amount.
- 17:36Speaker 3: The rent is the same every month, food is the same.
- 17:39Speaker 2: They need a.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Specific amount, and then he gets real upset, like full
- 17:45Speaker 3: tantrum about deadbeat dad.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And then Kendall starts like grinning a little bit.
- 17:50Speaker 3: And I actually felt bad for Kendall because I have
- 17:53Speaker 3: a kid who smiles when he knows he's in big trouble,
- 17:55Speaker 3: and I felt really bad for Kendall. But Mathis is
- 17:58Speaker 3: going hard like you're a deadbeat dad, like very very
- 18:02Speaker 3: angry at him, and then just he gets a big
- 18:04Speaker 3: applause line from the crowd. Is there something back?
- 18:07Speaker 4: There's a yin the back of this leg is just
- 18:12Speaker 4: centimeters from falling off.
- 18:13Speaker 1: The back there, and I just noticed it.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Multiple centimeters is an inch, So I feel good about it.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Unless you don't know measurements. You don't know measurements, just
- 18:23Speaker 3: say it. Say I don't know measurements.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I have a friend.
- 18:28Speaker 3: There, boy, Yeah, millimeters it's worrisome.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Do you want to fix it just a little bit? Okay,
- 18:39Speaker 1: we'll do it.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Later weight room, all right, So once you no, no,
- 18:50Speaker 3: we're gonna do this, We're gonna do it right now.
- 18:52Speaker 2: You got it? Is that better?
- 18:56Speaker 1: That's much better?
- 18:56Speaker 2: Is it closer to a centimeter? Now?
- 18:58Speaker 1: I mean over half?
- 18:59Speaker 2: Like over half the leg was off.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Ninety percent of the leg was off. I generally don't
- 19:03Speaker 1: know how it was on the.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Back man, something right on top of us. What a
- 19:08Speaker 3: video for the ages. So he gets really mad Aten
- 19:11Speaker 3: about child support blah blah blah. So they go back
- 19:13Speaker 3: to Nikia and so, so tell me about this car.
- 19:15Speaker 3: So Nikiya says, back in October, he got in a
- 19:19Speaker 3: car accident and he didn't have any money. So I
- 19:21Speaker 3: was still his friend, and he has two children, and
- 19:24Speaker 3: I care once again kindest personal life. So I financed
- 19:28Speaker 3: a car for him, like under my name. Financed the car,
- 19:32Speaker 3: and then I found over the course of the next
- 19:34Speaker 3: few months that he had wrung up a bunch of
- 19:38Speaker 3: parking tickets and I paid them. They were sent to
- 19:40Speaker 3: my house. My mom had to pay them. Her mom's
- 19:42Speaker 3: in the court room. She never speaks, and she hands those.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Maybe one of his guy friends did that could.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Be yeah, yeah, one of one of his boyfriends. She
- 19:52Speaker 3: hands Mathis the tickets. He has the tickets. Then he
- 19:55Speaker 3: got in an accident with my car. He said that
- 19:57Speaker 3: he fixed it, but this is how.
- 19:59Speaker 2: He returned the car to me.
- 20:00Speaker 3: She hands Mathi's pictures, and then she hands him a
- 20:03Speaker 3: bit of an estimate for how much it would cost
- 20:05Speaker 3: to fix it.
- 20:05Speaker 4: I'm always interested in these cases where there are a
- 20:09Speaker 4: lot of parking tickets.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yeah, what's happening there? What do you mean what?
- 20:14Speaker 2: They don't pay him and there?
- 20:15Speaker 1: I know, But how do you get that many parking tickets?
- 20:18Speaker 3: You just never just keep rolling in there and they
- 20:21Speaker 3: keep giving you a ticket. Why When I was at
- 20:23Speaker 3: South Carolina, I would I didn't want to park in.
- 20:25Speaker 4: The garage at.
- 20:27Speaker 3: The school brand University of Say, and I would put
- 20:30Speaker 3: they had an envelope and I would just keep the
- 20:32Speaker 3: envelope on my winds. Oh and then one dude, one
- 20:36Speaker 3: guy figured it out and he jammed like four tickets
- 20:38Speaker 3: in there.
- 20:38Speaker 1: When I got wow, that guy, good on him.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Could have been a girl too, could be either. I
- 20:42Speaker 3: don't know, see I should have just anyway. Uh So
- 20:46Speaker 3: he did all that blah blah blah, the pigs look
- 20:48Speaker 3: really really bad, and then he got pulled over, his
- 20:50Speaker 3: license was suspended, and said she financed the car. The
- 20:53Speaker 3: car went back to her, and Math says, so did
- 20:56Speaker 3: you do all of this? Kendall says, I did. Her
- 20:59Speaker 3: mom paid the pain the parking tickets. I do owe
- 21:02Speaker 3: her mom for the parking tickets, and I've told her
- 21:04Speaker 3: I'll give her that money. I have no problem giving
- 21:06Speaker 3: her that money. Great, he says, the accident wasn't my fault.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I was at the barbershop a truck side swiped me.
- 21:13Speaker 3: The truck was from a rental car Budget rental car,
- 21:15Speaker 3: he said, the budget rental car company. So I don't
- 21:18Speaker 3: know if he means budget the brand name, or it's
- 21:21Speaker 3: a budget. I don't know what he means, but he
- 21:23Speaker 3: says the rental car company is working through insurance. I
- 21:26Speaker 3: have a police report, and before he can hand the
- 21:29Speaker 3: police report to Mathis, Matthis cuts him off and says,
- 21:32Speaker 3: I don't need to see the police report. You're in
- 21:34Speaker 3: possession of the car. You're responsible to get it fixed.
- 21:37Speaker 3: You can't turn it back or without it getting fixed.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Doesn't look at the police report, then says, so what
- 21:42Speaker 3: about the car getting repossessed? He says, I wasn't aware
- 21:47Speaker 3: that it had been repossessed. Mathis goes, well, where's the
- 21:49Speaker 3: car now? He says, she has it. He goes, see,
- 21:52Speaker 3: that's called repossession. The car she financed for you came
- 21:58Speaker 3: back to her possession because you had a suspended license
- 22:02Speaker 3: and didn't pay your parking tickets. That's called repossession. That's
- 22:05Speaker 3: what it's called. That's how that works. Be what is
- 22:08Speaker 3: your claim? What's your counterclaim? He said, Well, I put
- 22:10Speaker 3: an alarm system in the car. It was five hundred
- 22:12Speaker 3: ninety dollars. Here's the receipt, handed to Mathis, and then
- 22:15Speaker 3: he says, I put fifteen hundred dollars down in the car.
- 22:19Speaker 3: She did finance it, but I put fifteen hundred dollars down.
- 22:21Speaker 3: I have the receipt for the fifteen hundred dollars. Here
- 22:25Speaker 3: is the receipt for that. And at this point Judge
- 22:28Speaker 3: Mathis is ready to rule. Wow, okay, can you give
- 22:30Speaker 3: me a quick numbers thing? How much is it in
- 22:33Speaker 3: parking tickets?
- 22:34Speaker 2: It's for all of that.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I don't get a breakdown, but it's it's I think
- 22:39Speaker 3: it's roughly seven hundred in parking tickets and fees, twenty
- 22:43Speaker 3: two hundred for the repairs. Its twenty nine hundred and
- 22:45Speaker 3: twenty three dollars for all of her stuff. His two
- 22:48Speaker 3: is a fifteen hundred dollars down payment. Why is he
- 22:51Speaker 3: assuing for twenty seven forty because it's a fifteen hundred
- 22:54Speaker 3: dollars down payment and a five hundred ninety dollars alarm system.
- 22:57Speaker 3: That's only twenty ninety, but he's counter for twenty seven forty,
- 23:01Speaker 3: so there must be something else in there.
- 23:02Speaker 2: He's counter sewing for that we didn't talk about.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Okay, I do I obviously I think she's gonna get
- 23:08Speaker 4: the parking ticket money because he says on record that
- 23:12Speaker 4: he said that he would do that.
- 23:15Speaker 1: He did put some money down as a down payment.
- 23:18Speaker 4: I don't really know what that does for you in
- 23:21Speaker 4: this case, because your name's not anywhere on the thing.
- 23:25Speaker 4: I will say he has to pay to fix the
- 23:30Speaker 4: car minus something.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Okay, let's give him.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Let's give her a one thousand dollars.
- 23:37Speaker 3: That would may make sense had we not had the
- 23:40Speaker 3: child support conversation. But Mathis basically says, when your car
- 23:43Speaker 3: is repossessed by the lean holder, your down payment is
- 23:47Speaker 3: null and void if you've not if repossession takes place,
- 23:52Speaker 3: that down payment grants you nothing nothing. And so he
- 23:55Speaker 3: says he's granting the full claim of twenty twenty three
- 23:59Speaker 3: dollars to Nikiya, and then that guy gets nothing, and
- 24:03Speaker 3: he asked him to leave the courtroom before he says
- 24:04Speaker 3: another word or grins at him.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Again, and there I'll have it all in.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Wow, judge, all done, all done, done, all done.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Ye, well we did everybody.
- 24:14Speaker 4: It's great to be back in the chambers. Always great
- 24:17Speaker 4: to be back. Went back next week, go to the
- 24:18Speaker 4: Bay side. Can't wait for that.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Until then, All rise.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Yo.
