- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: What kind of coffee guy are you?
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like for someone who doesn't obviously they can't see what I'm drinking.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think people would guess that is Yoni's drink?
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Something sweet.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: What a so messed up why?
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, why is that messed up?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: Why is something sweet?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's like sort like, no.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe just you have quite like a, you don't, you don't have like the most refined palate.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you have like a simple tasting palate.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely growing.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: You're trying to say, I'm basic.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, little bit.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're like a vanilla, like a vanilla latte type of guy.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: A vanilla sweet cream.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this one is not vanilla.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's not sweet cream.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a latte in a mason jar.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's an ice latte that all you just made me.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: So this is kind of like a second wave of energy of the day.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: OK, it's currently what time is it?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's like five o'clock.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's five, twenty, seven.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: This is like, end of the work day, type of, type of thing.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm having, if you're wondering what I'm drinking, I'm also drinking a coffee, but well, could you guess, could you guess what your drink is?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: If someone, I mean, I think a lot of people know what I'm drinking, because I show what I'm drinking, you know, talk about basic.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's a quartet of, it's actually between a quartet of, I want to get but you know, why are you talking like that?
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: Because you were talking like, I'm just matching your energy.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, okay.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: So today's episode, or first of all, if this is your first time, my name is Yoni Kodo.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: I am one of the hosts of the Worcest Youth Podcasts.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: Nice to meet you.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: What's your name?
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: Can you introduce to the people?
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: My name is my name is Alia Zaita.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, um, and uh, and uh, and no, I'm just getting ready to be interrogated this episode.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm getting ready to have to answer for the, for the community that I will be representing in today's episode.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Which is what, what community would you represent?
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's a community that I'm actually very proudly a part of.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: I have no shame.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't no shame and okay and I know this might I mean maybe it's surprising maybe it's not surprising I think it's very surprising everything that you guys about to hear on this episode is gonna be surprising to you because when you just if you just know Alia if you watch her videos on YouTube if you listen to the podcast for the past five years
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: you wouldn't really think that love island is her cup of tea.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: But today you're going to find out, okay, so I want to jump right into it.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so basically the structure of this episode is going to be, I'm the interviewer.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is not the interview.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: You just, you have a lot of questions.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you don't know what I guess is kind of like an interview.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I don't know.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: You might not know.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you're listening from a country that is not the US, not the UK, not Australia.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: There's like a few other countries have low violence.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's like 20 countries that have low violence, but the main ones are US, UK is the original.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: And Australia, and I think there's like an Italian one.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, but I'm saying, because you're about to say you made nine.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's a rule that don't know what Leviland is.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh, that's what you meant.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was trying to say.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: So Leviland is a reality TV show, specifically a dating show.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: And actually, I don't think it's that surprising because I've talked in the past that I
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I love a good dating.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: The automator actually I watched the automator before.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: You watched the last season of the automator because there was somebody it was from Seattle.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like the people from Seattle.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, there was another one that I watched before.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: That one.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: What was blind?
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is what you're watching right now, right?
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to love this blind is one that I if I would watch any of those, it would be love is blind just because it's so now real to me.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, there's this whole argument if any of these shows are real,
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: I, it's called the reality TV show for a reason.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, so whenever you are watching it and something seemed scripted, right?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Is it kind of like if your fan of these stuff is shows, is it, do you kind of just have to ignore it and just be like, you know what, this is real?
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like let me not ruin the fantasy of it all.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not somebody who is like looking to analyze and to almost catch
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Stuff like that.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: And now when it comes to reality.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because when we watch a movie, you can not spend five minutes without trying to dissect like, well, yeah, I'm dissecting like what's happening.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm saying like on a reality show, I think people are a little bit more intense with like scrutinizing what's going on.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's supposed to be reality.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: So people are more like on watch about that.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm somebody who is kind of taking things for like,
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: face value in a sense that I'm like whatever they're doing is what they're doing face value someone who doesn't speak in a show does I mean I'm not thinking someone is like telling like a producers telling this person to do this or for this person to be chosen for this person's not be chosen like I'm not thinking that production is like getting into the storyline and trying to build out a story but there is a storyline and then it can go off
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: Who's day?
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like the thing about every reality shows different, but I would say like the thing about love island specifically, is that the one that I'm watching right now, I'm actually watching three different ones at the same.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you guys, this house is a mess right now.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: I am going through a little bit of an addiction right now.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I am obviously watching love island USA, which is happening right now.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm also watching Love Island UK, which happened right now.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: What season are you on?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: No, the season that's happening right now.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: Which season is it?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know the number.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm thinking about the season five, seven eight.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're deep in the seasons.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever seasons are happening right now in the US UK.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: I am caught up.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: Have you watched all of them?
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: No, every season is a new thing.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm also watching Love Island, Australia, but that one is from like last year because the new one hasn't come out yet, and I never watched the Australia one and it's That's all you were just watching, right?
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are just watching.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Before it recording this shoot, I had to stop her.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, nice stop to myself.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but she was watching it.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: I was just playing it in the background and she's playing that shit out loud.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so the whole time I'm I'm hearing I've got a text I'm like the only thing you know you don't even know what that means.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what you've got a text, right?
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: So Just as it's just quickly explained the premise of this show is a bunch of singles Most of the time they're like early 20s to mid 20s
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, they're hot, they're sexy, they're fat, whatever you want to call it.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's debatable, because that's the instant, okay, never.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't think that's debatable.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think like compared to the first example, love is blind where the point is to have people that aren't necessarily the most hot or considered the most, whatever.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's like you have people of all types and the point is to
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: what you look like.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's why a lot of love is blind because love truly is blind.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's the thing with love is blind.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's like they love each other and then they see each other and it's over.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what you look like.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: If I love you, I love you.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: So like Loki, I could go on love is blind.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: And do you think people separate and go on a show to make like No, there's like a whole background check things like that.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: What if I delete all my social media like all my It's all my photos on my Instagram that have you when it I just delete it and then you do the same And we just we just supply for love is fine.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: No people do that.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, anyways
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: What about my YouTube videos?
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not deleting all that.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: You can mention YouTube.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: You can't mention that you do YouTube.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I don't have to mention it.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: They can easily just search my name.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, I think we can't do that.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: Well, so anyways, Love Island starts off.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: The thing that is like, why this show is so popular is because it's happening in real time.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: No way.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's the whole point.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I can vote technically in real time and decide who I like the most.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: And that decides like who stays on the show and who leaves the show.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't forget about that.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even put that in my questions.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a voting system.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the first time.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: First time that I ever see Alia, so engaged in a show.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: I would say that's a part of it too.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's like my friend and I who are in a long distance friendship because it lives across the country.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: They hit play on the screen at the same time.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like text and each other be like, okay, are you ready now?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Three, two, one, start.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then they watch it together.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: They eat, I mean, it's cute.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the cutest shit ever.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: And then we just text each other like we face time we on the while we're like watching the show and then we're just like having Yeah, cuz it's like it's all about the drama.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: This is not good quality TV.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: I was watching Alia text The laughing emojis reacting to each thing that happens and I'm just like okay, but you can just watch it for a second without text
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I do, and then I have something to say.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, I get, I kind of wish I had something like that to wash with someone, but I just don't.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: But you have to understand that this is also kind of like a cultural thing, especially in the US, like in the US.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: And like there is this sort of like cult following to these shows, because from the outside, it's a very, it's a very interesting, it's a social experiment.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: that we get to see play out.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's very meta, it's very kind of like, you have a bunch of, I mean, it's not a new idea.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like reality TV shows where you put a bunch of people in like a villa or a house or whatever, and then they have to do challenges and they have to, like stay in it and then we get to see it like firsthand.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that this is happening, like, same with survivor when I was watching survivor, is like, that's happening while we're watching.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're on the island.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: I like survivor because that's, it's a challenge and you kinda like, you want certain people to, but it's all couples too, right?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, okay.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I like that show because it's very different.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's very different.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: But like everybody likes the drama.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody likes the situations.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, she got with him.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: But then she got with him.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: And we see it all.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we see like, oh, he's saying this to her.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: But he's also saying this to her.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: But they don't know that they're saying this.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: And then when I tell you the deep, deep, deep analysis that
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: people are having on this show, the survival or a lovelin.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, a lovelin.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: The debate, the the analysis of like some people are like on this person's side.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: Other people are this other person's side and the internet is so and that it's just crazy.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: And another crazy thing is like all these people that go on lovelin, none of the relationships last beyond the show.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's ever made it past the show.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's like a real life.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: There's been a lot of seasons.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure there's maybe like one or two or three couples, but like 90% of the show of the people that go on the show, like none of them stay in a relationship that they were in when the show ended.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Do people go into the show?
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: Coupled up already?
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like me and you would we go in there as a, I still stay single.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: So what's the show with the couples?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Automated?
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the ultimatum is a show where like people was to put up with each other and ultimatum, and then it's like to test the relationship, they start dating other people.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's so stupid.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: But let's let's say on the violent.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: Finish explaining for people who do that.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, and the the whole point of the show is like on love island.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: You are on an island with all these single people.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you get coupled up.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then you kind of live on this villa.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: You do a bunch of challenges.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: You get coupled up randomly.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: No, you choose each other.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: So you'll do like the first episode, you do a challenge and a challenge can be like making out with everybody.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: Damn, that's kind of crazy.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: But you make that out for wealth people.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the US is known to be like the most extra and intense and right away like people are like making out from the get.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, I don't even remember this person named.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's kind of weird.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's weird.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's weird.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's a social experiment.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's the whole idea of how the show goes on.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't even feel comfortable making out with that many people.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: listen, so people get in a couple and then throughout the show, people are obviously like chatting, getting to know each other, blah blah blah, and then they'll be a recoupling where either the depends they decide whether the show runners decide like if the boys
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: choose the girls or the girls choose the boys and maybe you're coupled like me and you are coupled up but I actually really like this other guy over here and I get to choose who I'm recoupling with and you really like me and you think I'm going to choose you but I end up choosing this other guy so now you're single and vulnerable and you might have to be dumped from the island if you don't find another connection with somebody.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: So it's constantly like an ever changing like dating scene and there's always a few people that like bounce around and then there's a there's always like one couple Who's together from the beginning and six together from the beginning because they like each other.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, of course because they like each other
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you win at the end?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: I want to skip ahead a little bit.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: At the end you win $100,000 each?
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, like half and half, but it's not really the point of the show isn't that the point of the show is that pretty much every single person who has been on this show has had a social media career after this.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: and has become a social media like influencer.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's the point or that's not the point.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's why people go on the show.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like for cloud basically.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so people you think that people go on a show.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's a known pathway and they know that they're going to get a crazy social media following, especially if you're like acting crazy.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you're the crazy one, exactly, the girl, the girl that acted crazy as hell last season.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: If you watch, do you know exactly how I'm talking about?
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: She's getting crazy brandy.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's like now, like releasing music.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then, like, when she's asked, like, what's your name?
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like, the guy, what's your name?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Where you from?
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: What do you do for Living Bubba?
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: All that?
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'm a musician.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, girl, you're not.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Girl, you're not.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: You're literally...
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: just put out one song and the only reason why anybody cares about that is because you were on the violin and you were a mess on that shit okay okay but like if people follow you because of who you are or how you speak or how crazy you are or how you look right if people choose to search you up and follow you on Instagram.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't, I didn't tell you to follow me.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: You liked me.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like you wanted to follow me for me.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, so I don't think we should hold that against them.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: If they make something from that.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, people don't I do because that's why I hold that against those people because that is my job.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's like people will go on a show and instantly get as many if not more followers than me by just being on the show.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: and they just get the attention and they just get a follow meanwhile I've been working at building this community for how many years okay but also with your Instagram is not something that you even like you started you to channel and people and people obviously make great videos so people like you and then they're gonna they you never did anything for your Instagram to grow you never they you just
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, what's mean?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, you put in the work on, I'm not, I'm not, first of all, I'm saying this, I'm on your side, right?
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not coming out of you.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, your Instagram, when you say a built this community, it's not like you started this career and say, I want to have a lot of followers on Instagram.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm saying like right now, since I decided that this is my job, right?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say, like in last three years, even though I've been doing YouTube for like five, almost six years,
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying somebody goes on a show is they work at a grocery store and then they go on this show and then they just get all these followers because they went on this show and acted all crazy or acting some type of way and then they end up getting in the same lane as me or as any other creator for that matter.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's like more of my issue with it but I still watch the show, I mean I don't care.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, no, I guess most people don't care about that part that a lot of people go on this show But that's the thing.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's like there's some people that do seem and I'm not saying that people don't go on there for like love and to actually maybe find somebody
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's fair to say that people know that they're going to go on a show and after they think they're already thinking about after the show.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: What they might do.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: Basically what you're saying is that five years, six years you've been grinding and I've seen the first hand every day, right?
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: To build this community which took a lot of work and you're here now.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: So someone to go on a show for two weeks or three weeks or a month and to get triple the amount of followers just from that show and then now they start to make content and then of course it works from the very beginning so I get the I get where you're you're at but it's not specific like that's only like a thing that I have with it, but I don't even it's not even a thing.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we just use it right up because we just talked about it
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, because you said you're like, what's the problem with that with like them and I'm saying that most people don't have a problem with that.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: I have a problem with that.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: when so many people are watching this show and tuning in every single day because the show comes out every day except Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: So there's an episode Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday Sunday for six weeks in the middle of every summer.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: So people make it kind of like
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: And the, the cool thing about the show is also there isn't like people with cameras filming.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: There is like, I don't know how many cameras around the villa, that are just pushing up like stationary cameras that are built into the set.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: And the show is edited from those cameras.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: And every, all the people have mics on them, like they wear mic.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's edited.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so for someone who doesn't know the show, the goal of this show when you go on is to win to be coupled up with someone.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: The goal is to find love.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's technically the goal.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it's called a violin.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's like to find your person, to find someone, you know, and to have this experience, I guess.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: okay shall we get to the questions okay all right so i don't think i've watched a single full episode of love island no i hear it background i don't i don't i don't know the rules i don't know you'll randomly see like a scene or who brought like making out or doing some message okay so one of the questions i had is what was your first impression of love island when when you
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: This is technically my first season that I'm watching it like with everybody.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: What made you get to this level tour you're at right now?
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because you never watch it like my friend told me my friend Brenda who I'm like co-watching it.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to Brenda.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to Brenda.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: You need to send this episode to Brenda.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to say anything she doesn't already know she uh she sent me like the promotional Instagram like one of the videos that was like
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: you know, getting everybody excited for the new season to start.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: So she sent it to me and she asked me if I'm going to be watching.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, oh, I didn't really even think about it.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then I was like, no, because I don't like follow the violin on Instagram or something.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I didn't know it was like coming.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: So she sent it to me and I had watched last.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: years season, but I watched it like US, US, but I watched it really late.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like there was already most of the season when like was like pretty much already filmed.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I just binged watched it.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: Because I just saw so many people were talking about it online.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the other thing too.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's like so many people talk about it online.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: You want to know what the fuck they're talking about.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: FOMO.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: Especially because they're talking about all these characters all these different people that are on the show doing this doing that I think this is person is wrong.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now I think that they're fucked up because blah blah blah blah And it it is kind of like a reflection of Like
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: how people are at this age, you know, 21, 22, 25.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: Would you, what was, okay, go ahead?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just like, it's an interesting social experiment to witness.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: because of the discourse that also happens online after every single episode, the inside jokes, the funny videos people have, the sort of collective understanding we all have of one character, everybody agrees that the person, the way this person moved was messed up, or the way that this person did this was crazy.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a good community aspect to it too.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, what's fun is like watching the episode.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then the next day you open TikTok or you open Instagram or even threads.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: So they'll still talk about it.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: So would you say the appeal of the show to someone who's never watched it?
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: Is simply entertainment.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: Entertainment and just like all the messiness of it.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: What would you say is the ideal way to watch the show alone with a friend on FaceTime, with a partner, which a husband?
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely fun to watch it with somebody.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's why Brenda and I co-watch it together.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: Because you can talk shit about it.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it's like, real-time reactions.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, even saw me earlier when I was watching the Australia one.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then there was a recoupling and one of the people,
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: some of the people on the group had to choose who will leave the island and they had to choose because people get eliminated over time and people come in, they're called bombshells.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, new people come in, middle of the show.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like throughout the show, new people come in.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: Is it because to feel a certain amount of number?
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's just like the premise of the show.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's like over time, there's new threats and new tests that will come and is someone going to
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: is somebody going to be like, oh damn, you know, like this person's soul.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: It would suck to, to, you think you're with someone, you guys are locked in, right?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then like, what do you call them?
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: The new people that come shows.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: The bombshells come and then like, your girl, she just has a crush on the new person.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: You're also so mad.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's the whole thing.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it'd be mad at her.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be mad at the other guy.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, why don't you have to cover her?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not that.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: You'd be mad at the person you're with.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: Halfway through the show there's a time when the guys leave the villa and go to another villa Where is the where are these villas in the city each one?
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think that you K1 might be in I know that U.S. one is in Fiji The the UK one are the Australian one are somewhere in Spain But yeah
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: So it's always like a, it's always a villa.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: But halfway through the show, the guys leave the villa and go to another one where it's a whole new set of girls.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then the girls stay in the villa in a bunch of new set of guys comes.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: And they start and it's basically like the ultimate test of their OG relationships that they're in.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is so messed up.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: Who wrote this shit?
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who the original creators are,
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then, and then you get to the side.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you put it all the worst scenarios.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like all the things that's the point.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then, and then you have to decide whether, like, do you keep, do you,
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: even though maybe you might have like connected with someone at the new spot at the new villa like let's say one of the guys is like starts kissing on a girl when they're like in the other villa but their original connection has no idea because they're not you know they can't see each other they're in two separate houses and then basically they'd be doing a lot of like messy
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: So do the women, though, on the other house with the Nukka.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: I would say the trend is most of the time that guys be moving like that and the girls be moving respectful.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: I will say that really.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not all, but most of the time.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: So then the guys, when they come back to the original village, they decide whether or not to come back single and recouple with their girl, which hopefully she didn't decide to recouple with their new guys.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: She decided to say single.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: So how do you, so you as a viewer, you see both sides.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, but we don't always know the editors are also the way that it's edited.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's like
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: It you also don't always know what's going to happen.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: But it's it's really messy because now after the re coupling at this villa last thing I'm going to say after that they will a few days later after there's drama after they say I can't believe you brought her back you move so disrespectful blah blah all this drama and then after that there's movie night.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: where they all get to see what we've been seeing up to this point on camera.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they literally see the episodes.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: So someone been lying like if I kissed someone at the other house, but then I called back to you and I'm like, baby, I didn't kiss anybody.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: I was loyal.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what?
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, okay, movie night.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: And the crazy thing is production will cut all the clips together to make it look even worse.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: That they're going to do you telling this person a lie and then cut it to the truth.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's insane.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: The way that they did that shit is so messy, but it's so.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think with a next episode after this, I'm going to wash this week.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: But you don't even know, like you don't have the context of that.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to fill me in.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't even know that.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: So my next one of the questions that I had, would you say that it's a guilty pleasure or do you think that people should stop feeling guilty about watching them be like, no, this I love the show.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: Because I feel like a lot of people,
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: they'll watch it like on the low no nobody's watching the shit on the low really everybody's online talking about it i i'm over your talking about it with no shame okay i don't think it's uh i think like a reality tv as an umbrella term is like if somebody asks me what is my guilty pleasure i would probably stay reality tv because it's not the only reality show it is a guilty pleasure
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, why is it a guilty pleasure?
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's because it's bad TV.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's terrible.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's bad TV.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's terrible to you.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not like actually ashamed to admit that I watch it.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: So what would you say makes love island better if you think so?
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: What would you say love island?
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: What makes love island better than other reality TV shows?
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think it's the best one?
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: What I mean, the best one, I don't think this is really the best one, what makes it different, you know?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that it's happening right now, like what does that matter, like what does it matter when it happened?
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: Because you are influencing what's going to happen, like last episode.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: Was it last night?
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, last night, we got to vote which four couples we want to see in the last episode.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: I saw you holding last night.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: I looked over, Elliot was voting on some, I'm just like, what you doing?
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pictures of different people.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I like this couple.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like her.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: I like him.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: I just like, yeah, I mean, I think it's that.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's just the fact that it's, again, in real time, I think watching a show knowing that they're in the villa right now,
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: living life or whatever is you know it's like one of the appeals is it is this show one of those shows that you become like Emotionally have invested with certain people or isn't more kind of like just detached
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like when someone get cut or dumped, do you feel that emotional blow like, oh, damn.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I, or is it kind of just like, okay, next?
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, is not that deep, but I would say like, depending also, if you like the character or not, there's like a big debate on which, like, some people love some characters, other people hate other ones.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't know.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's like different moments on the show, like the last episode,
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: There was like a part with like a couple that was really cute that I was just like, wow, this is like really cute, but the guys like doing he's like basically asking her like to be his girlfriend, you know, and the way he did it was like really thoughtful and much more thoughtful than like other guys that have done it before.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: And also this like each character is like the way that they choose the people that go on the show is like very specific and everybody is like you get to see them how they react to things like they're filmed all the time do they get to go home when when are they going home at the end of the show they'll have their phones they can't have their families how how many weeks six weeks six weeks you don't talk to your family you're just there yeah
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, you brought up how he was thoughtful, how the guy was asking the girl to be his girlfriend and all that, right?
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: Awful.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_00]: No, thoughtful.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, thoughtful, yeah, yeah.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, my pronunciation is bad today.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: But, would you say the main attraction of the show?
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: Because my brain goes to like two different things.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: It goes, is it the romance, the skew, and like, oh, I love the...
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's part of that.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it the drama that makes the show the show?
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's the drama.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: Really, but the drama comes from the romance, the lust, the sexual in the window, the, you know, like at night, for example, when they all go to sleep in their couples, it's like the room is dark, but some of the cameras have night vision.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: So then it's like you see people what they're doing in bed and how they're trying to be like sneaky about it and it's like who did well with who it's like it's all that it's like it's so stupid But it's also entertaining
- 33:59[SPEAKER_00]: I can't get into it, I tried.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, you don't have to get into it.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think something about the hosts talking the way they do.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's so, today, you have got all your sides.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's like satire.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's like he's doing it to be stupid.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because I was like, you don't have to talk like that.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, um, do you think that social media plays a big role?
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: And what if this show was disconnected from social media?
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: Would it have the same appeal?
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, it's been happening from before social media.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: The first, the original started in 2003.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: But the show originally started with like a bunch of, because reality TV has existed way before social media.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: Reality.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like survivor, for example, or like you have a watch, what's the like big brother, like big brother, that's the one.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's the one where you're stuck in a house, right?
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, similar concept, I guess.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: That was way back.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: And like, oh, do you know that back in 2001 when ninety-one happened?
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: People that were on that show had no idea that happened.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure maybe even like I don't know some people lost some people and you don't know until you come out of the show.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way long within three or six weeks.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: I actually don't know much about big brother.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: I just know it's like an OG like reality show.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: The concept of that is not new.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I think like with social media now it's like grown and it's kind of had like a resurgence.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like I would say,
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: Reality TV wasn't really a thing like it wasn't thing what's there's a sure
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess that.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: I used to watch there as you show.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: What's his name?
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: I used to watch it, but not like it wasn't my show, but I remember liking it for some reason.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot the name of the guy that I used to like for some reason.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: Tony.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: Who?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: Tony.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: Tony.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they all have like Italian names, no?
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like Pauli D. Oh, yeah.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: Who's that?
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's like the name one is the main.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: That was the DJ, right?
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: I've never watched it as you show it.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder what they're doing today.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: But what I'm saying is like, especially dating shows are having a huge, huge moment right now.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like you can see the amount of new dating shows that are just on like Netflix, love island is like a huge thing right now.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: So it's definitely having a moment.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how long it's going to last though.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you as a viewer or like maybe just anybody watching the show.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Can you tell who's genuine or who's just lying while you're watching the show?
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: You could be like a guy talking to a girl, but you know that he's just, uh, he's just here to have fun.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: People change through show.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's some people that you can definitely tell like, oh, they're freaked out.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: freaked out in all the way like just trying to be here like tongue in people down and like you can tell right away But you gotta just love them for who they are like it's gotta be very it's very like there's people that are super in the open like I'm just here to have like a good time Yeah, can you tell when someone gets on the show?
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: And they just want to be a character They just want to act up like they're not even trying like for cloud
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, because I doubt people going that show to actually find love.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just asking questions.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's because like, it's also a very specific type of person, like both girls and guys that are selected for this.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: in the sense that it's like they're never going to have a girl who for example doesn't wear makeup on the show they're not going to have a girl on that show who doesn't go to the club.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: They're not gonna have guys on that show that don't go to the club.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like they have a, they select very specific types of people.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're not selecting girls that journal.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're not selecting guys that journal.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: They're selecting, like... Shout out to everybody who journals out there.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like they're selecting people that are like conventionally, I don't even know, like how to explain it.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's like...
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's like people that like...
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: 21 to 25 year olds that are just getting their life started.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: They are going out to the club.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: They are kind of like just having a good time, but you know also like I think it's the girls are literally doing like make up full face of make up every single day and night.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a very specific type of person.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to have somebody like me on the show that it's like, I don't wear makeup like that.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's a show for like that specific type of person.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not saying it in any negative way.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying it in like, they're also not going to have a girl who wears like jorts.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna have a girl, because they're gonna have a girl who wears like a short skirt or like also like the body types of the girls and the guys is very specific who they have on there.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think the show reveals anything real about dating for real?
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, people online who are doing those very in-depth analyses definitely think so.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: What does it tell us?
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: Huh?
- 39:47[SPEAKER_00]: What does it tell us?
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what does it show?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: What do you take away from a show like that?
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: It shows like the relationships between men and women.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_01]: The anybody men and women, it's also like when it comes to race, too.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: You have like various
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: people from different races.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: So seeing how maybe like somebody is like, you know, code switching when they're talking to a certain person.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's like this white girl is talking to this black guy.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: Very definitely that she's talking to this white guy.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, there's many layers of things that like people are picking up on an analyzing.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes I think people are finding things to or making things too deep.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: But that's like part of the show too.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: Is it easy to predict who will last like from the beginning?
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: No.

- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: until someone else comes to the island.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, because they're already past all the tests, but then on the level, there's like, this is stages.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's different things that happen, but it's already far along into the season where nobody else is really like coming anymore.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: But, yeah, it's just like the way people move in that house is like, it's also, all of them have watched the show.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: to not be like the messed up one that everybody's hating on and everybody's yelling yeah well the puzzle show goal is because your goal if you're looking into the future and you want to get those crazy brand deals you know going into that show like I'm gonna be the messy bitch
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: And it actually really will work for you.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because everybody wants to look you up and wants to see you.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that, and also, it's like, brands will have you literally doing real ads.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we're not even talking about, like, real ads.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: Influencer content we're talking about, like, they will have, for example, Corona.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was Corona, the beer brand that just did it like an ad, like on TV, type of ad, with somebody who won last season's Love Island, she was in the ad.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: I am.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like that's it's almost self-explanatory.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to show like that and if you just want to get it's just so watched.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's a real after the do some people do season after season like come back.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, well there is a there is I've never watched it but there is a love island to all stars.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: where old people that have been on love island before who are still single go on it and then but then the whole point of that is like you already kind of know everybody if you watch the franchise that's like too deep for me.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: What are you?
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so when you're washing this, I'm sure every single viewer has their favorite person or favorite couple.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what do you think makes someone on that show like a fan favorite?
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: Adoubt is the super messy one because we don't like it's entertaining, but like the super messy one cannot be your favorite person.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it definitely can't but then you can you also can't be too boring.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: But it just depends so much on like,
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: You're just on the show and you don't say anything.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then just like politically correct.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: No, nobody's boring.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody gets into something.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody gets into something.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: But I will say, like, for the most part, it changes.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, who is your favorite changes over time?
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: Because even Brenda and I were talking, I was like, damn, remember how we used to say, we wanted, like, Bryce to get off the show.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: And now he's kind of like, one of my favorites.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like one of the guys, you kind of looks like Justin Bieber.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I think I've seen it before.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: Huh.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_00]: do some people actually after the show continues after the show is over.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, do guys or girls actually just stay friends and keep up with each other?
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't be following people.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't keep, I'm not someone like on social media like that who's like after the show, I'm going to be like keeping up with what people are doing.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what's crazy?
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: From last year's season, there's a girl
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: who literally is like now invited to like all the fashion weeks, like all that was on the show.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's like, she's model, was she model before?
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, but she has like a crazy body and like a beautiful face.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: But she's got nothing that she doesn't do anything.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: she went on the show so people just get discovered like you basically you have to pay to apply not right I don't know I don't know I don't think so because I'm thinking if you're if I was single and I was living that lifestyle and I live somewhere in Miami and I look good and I look good it's like I don't know if I would I don't know if I would want to go on a show like that
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: Because like why not?
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: If you're single too.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: What would you say is the biggest source of drama of the show?
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: Is it jealousy?
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: Is it like, like producer, plot twist?
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I will say like something happens on the show.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're like time warps for them, where they are there for
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: like they've been knowing each other or they've been dating or whatever for like six months by the way that they react when somebody has their head turned to someone else.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: My awesome example.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say we've been me and you have been coupled up for two days and a bombshell comes in and you start bombshell is an outsider comes in and you start pulling her for chats You're giving her the time of day.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're seeming interested.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you even like kiss
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to be all like, it's like, bro, we literally just met two days ago.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know, but something sucks about that.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: I know it sucks, but I'm saying the way people move in there gives like every single day you spend there gives so much weight.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of, it's like it's weird.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: Because if you put it into perspective, it's like y'all barely know each other.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that show?
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: But because they're there day and night back to back, wake up, sleep, wake up, sleep, wake up, yeah, it's like that's what I'm saying time works in there.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that this show changes the way us, as a society think about dating?
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like does it change the way you... No, it's not that powerful.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's more of an entertainment thing.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_00]: But let's say if you're watching this with your partner, like, which will boyfriend or girlfriend, after watching that show with that, make you want to bring like a different energy to your own relationship, maybe like spice it up a little bit, or maybe, like I don't know, anything like that at all,
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like maybe you see a guy acting a certain way towards his girl and then you reflect.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think if we were on your own relationship, you're like damn, but my man doesn't do that.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: That, I mean, I can't relate to that because you'd be doing everything I want you to do.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: But I have to say that.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm being thrilled.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: But I think like the only thing is maybe both of us are listening.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: If both of us were watching the show at the same time, and you thought that something a guy on the show did was okay, and I thought what he did was okay, and we didn't agree on that.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: That could bring some real conversations.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I would be kind of like,
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: How do you think that's okay?
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like we would talk about it, you know, and not see either eye on that.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that definitely can happen.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: So if a bomb shock, if we were on the show, not if a bomb shock comes on.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: If it's like you just, if we're watching it together, yeah.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: And they do something.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: And we disagree that the way they moved was messed up and you think like now, I think, I think she's in the wrong.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then just having a difference of opinion on like what happened on the show?
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think this show influence?
- 48:48[SPEAKER_00]: Huh, what are some like, because I know they have their own little slang.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_00]: They have the own little words of vocabulary What are some things that they say on the show that's so catchy other than like I've got a text.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean that one So to explain the whole I got a text please explain it to me cuz I keep hearing that So basically on the show We should we name this episode of guy text
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be alert, but you got to write like text like tech.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean people know you know, yeah, don't be really funny.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so the whole thing with like, I got a text is basically like, through the through the episodes is like, they also have challenges.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: You could be like kissing talent, a karaoke thing, and in the challenges,
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: If you win the challenge, you, you know, get to like win something or go on a day, or like whatever.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but the challenges are also a time where like, people might, you know, let's say me and you are in a really solid couple.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: But then in the challenge, you have to like give somebody a lap dance or something like that or be given a lap dance.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: And you, you and this other person get like really into it, then I'm gonna be mad.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: So, the whole point of the challenge is to stir shit up a little bit, but also to see if there's a spark between you and somebody else that you haven't really, like, gone the chance to kiss, yeah, and you're like, oh, damn, that kiss was crazy, she liked that.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: So, so, so usually a challenge is announced through a text.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, one of the, everybody has like a phone.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: Why do they yell at like that?
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: because that's like the thing of the show.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: They all know that they have to say it.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: And because they've also watched the show, it's like when they get a text, it's like, I'm like, I'm like, I gotta get text, you know?
- 50:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a thing.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then the text will usually say like, get ready for today's challenge, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, or it's gonna say, I don't know, like, tonight there will be a recoupling so like, go get ready.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: Damn.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like production telling them, like what they're doing.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_00]: living in Miami.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I always attach my amits to some shit like that.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's funny because there was a guy on the show that is from Miami.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if you aliasites that were single and you were just about that life, right?
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: Would you ever go in love Island?
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, because I'm not about that life.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm not the type of person that the very specific person goes on this show.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: They have to look a certain way.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: They have to live a certain life.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: So you said even if you wanted to, you wouldn't be chosen.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: No, because there would be like this girl is, it's like what?
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's not for the show.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: If I went on love island.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: How do you think I would do how long would I last?
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: What kind of guy would I be?
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: The way you know me.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think you could actually do pretty good on love.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_00]: Could I win?
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about winning necessarily you might be winning.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, wait, why not?
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: You might be too boring at one point because there are too much of a good guy.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: I might be too boring.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean?
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: Like.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine me just exactly how I am just on the show.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say you didn't know me and I was just on the show.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, would I be the boring guy, would I be the messy guy, would I be the, like, like, who I think I would do pretty well.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think you would do pretty good.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, probably we'll have to work my body a little bit, but I think I'll do pretty well.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think you do pretty good.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for that answer.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: Which type of, um, yeah, I have like nothing else to say.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, I thought you would have like a better answer for that, but that's fine.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to do good.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get no ideas.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: I said don't get no ideas.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not going to go on that show.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also not that top of God.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you also can't go on that show.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: I would not get chosen even if I wanted to.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you were a single, I feel like you could.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like what's the strategy to make it?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_00]: What's the strategy to make a foreign to the show?
- 52:54[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's so unpredictable.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: You can have the people who throw it off are like the bombshells.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: They fuck show.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: But you could also be a bombshell.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to be an OG.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's a bombshell that's like they can be a bombshell and then stay there for the rest of the time.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but for you to stay on the show is you have to not be eliminated and you're usually eliminated by the votes that make you like vulnerable or by not being in a couple because people coupled up, not with you, but usually the person that gets dumped is the person that either ends
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: because of the reshuffling or the people like they are putting a position where they have to three of them.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: For example, have to vote who has to leave.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: So then three of your friends are debating between you and like say one other person who should leave.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_00]: You mentioned something about challenges earlier in the show, right?
- 54:08[SPEAKER_00]: Do you do the challenges always change or do you know, or they always change?
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: So you never know what a challenge might be.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: No, they're usually like, no.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_00]: What was, was there ever like a challenge that you would like?
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: I would, I would never do this.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's the challenge?
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of, the US ones, especially, what's the challenge that you would do?
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: Give me one like there's like slime or you have to like spit something into someone's mouth like They're always really gross the US ones.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, specifically like the US ones are notoriously really just nasty
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think the trick thing is with this show is that the way they edit the show, make it worse than what it actually is.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 55:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like the way they edit conversations.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know how like on love islands sometimes, not love is blind.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_00]: They would have a conversation across the wall, right?
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_00]: But then like she would say something and then they will cut his reaction.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like it's not in the flow of the conversation.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can tell.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because I feel like that changes a lot of people's opinions when they have to like yeah, of course There's apparently like a I forget it.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_01]: I forget what it was like a short video I saw online of this person who used to be in the show running room where like while everything is happening Usually production will have a whiteboard of like a bunch of story lines and then as
- 55:44[SPEAKER_01]: The day progresses is like they choose what storyline to go with because there's so much happening is so many conversations happening so it's like they choose that we're like we're going to go with this storyline and this storyline and we're not going to show all of it.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think the viewers already know, like when they make the show, do you think the viewers know exactly who they want to win or who they want like, or do you think for producers?
- 56:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, producer.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like do you think this, the way they edit and shape the whole thing?
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: So people have a theory that they think that they really want to keep, right now a lot of people are saying that they really want to keep Kenzie, which is like one of the girls, they really want to keep her on the show, even though everybody wants to vote her out.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, I don't, that's the thing.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I entertain the theories that people have and stuff like that, but I ain't got time to get that into it.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I have other things to do.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because some people, I think I would assume that a lot of people who watch the show would always try to figure out what's the catch here, like what's real and what's made to look a certain way by the producers.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's something that you keep in mind all the time and I feel like that's something that if it becomes really apparent that they're pushing something,
- 57:09[SPEAKER_00]: What is something you think viewers don't realize?
- 57:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's happening.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why you watching it?
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is this something that you don't know?
- 57:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't look at it that deeply to be honest.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's different type of viewers.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: You're just strictly there for the drama.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm there for the juice, I'm there for, you know, like, what's happening.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_01]: But again, like, I don't look at it.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't take it that seriously.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't get that into it where I'm like, Ooh, like, they're choosing to keep them and they got rid of them and so unfair.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, it cares.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it's so funny because anybody listening to this episode you could be on one of two sides You could be like I love this episode and I watched the show so this episode is very like I don't know.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's
- 57:59[SPEAKER_00]: If you're into it, you're into this episode, but if you're not into Love Island or anything like that, you could be like one of those people who just like, you know, criticize the show, it's stupid, because there's a whole community of those people as well.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: But do you think that those people are too harsh when it comes to... No, I think they're in the right, in a way, I also kind of criticize if somebody, like there's others.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's kind of like a waste of time, locate.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's only one hour for six weeks.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like, I mean, I accept I'd be watching the UK one and the Australian one, but I just play it in the background.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_01]: What I was going to say is like, there are certain shows like the bachelor or the bachelor read or like real housewives of Atlanta, real housewives of love a lot.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_01]: I've never watched any of that stuff.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: So it just depends.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_01]: There's like so many different things.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever watched the love, love and hip hop?
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that just a little bit?
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: No, love and hip, no.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this love and basketball.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: Love and basketball is a love and hip-hop.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: Which everyone should watch, love and basketball is probably like my favorite movie ever.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_01]: I've never watched to love and hip-hop, no.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, um, yeah.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_01]: Any other questions?
- 59:11[SPEAKER_00]: Not a lot of things.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just so, I want to sit down with you and watch it.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_01]: You've watched, but when you watch, love is blunt.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_01]: You, you just got like, in general, though, you just don't have the patience to sit through that many things, like that many episodes back.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you mean by that?
- 59:32[SPEAKER_01]: things like what I just said like even when you're watching love is blind because you want to watch because you knew somebody who was on it it's like I still ended up watching most of it by myself hmm yeah I don't know but you know it's like it's not even that it's not bad there's a lot of guys who watch the shit yeah
- 59:52[SPEAKER_01]: And the way that I'm saying that I don't watch it is not because I don't think it's obviously it's for everyone, you know, it's not even it's not I will say it is for everyone, even though there's probably more girls that watch Love Island thanks guys Maybe, yeah, but like there are a lot of guys who are watching Love Island
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_01]: because it's just like it's it's like it's entertainings but it's people watching on their phone in coffee shops.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen people watch it while they're like watching the soccer game.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah like it's so that's what made me want to do this episode.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you it's a thing.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_00]: I was like I got to ask some questions because I hear it at home and I see it outside.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I just want
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, I just think it's like, it's a fun thing happens in the middle of the summer.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_00]: How would you feel if the show ended?
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_00]: It just ends normal love island.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Would you feel like there's no way that it ends?
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_00]: Me?
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, because for me, it's only this summer that I actually did the Love Island experience for real.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_01]: Last summer, I like watched it way later than everybody, and I was only caught up with everybody else the last few episodes.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_01]: So this is my first Love Island summer where I'm actually watching it like accordingly.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, once this is done, it's kind of like,
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: And it's again, it's only for six weeks.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like insecure.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, insecure stops stop.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the same.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not the same, but people miss insecure a lot.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_01]: And also it's not the same because this one goes back to the old TV show where it's like one episode every day.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_01]: You can't binge watch it.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_01]: You don't get all the episodes at once.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_00]: Well, to finish off this episode, you're going to do just a few rapid-fire questions.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, more.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_00]: But no, like, don't give me no long ass sense.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_00]: All right, best season.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I can't do that because I barely watched two seasons.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_00]: Best couple this season.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_00]: Just apply it to this season.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're watching this, I mean, if you listen to this episode.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, watch the show.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I mean, I will say like my favorite couple after last, but last episode.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_00]: Who's your favorite couple, babe?
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_01]: to say this because see if somebody watches the show and I say who I hear a couple yeah this is going to say a lot about you it's like that's the whole thing in the show it's like it's it's it's this it's not the actual show that I guess the wall right now
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like, you know, just don't judge it because I, I would need to explain more because I feel like if I just say it somebody who doesn't agree with me would have questions, why don't they say it, but explain it like to say it.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm not going to explain.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to say after last week's after after yesterday's episode right now currently my favorite, um, one couple, I mean, I think I have to say T T and Casey.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_00]: TT and KC.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Tera and KC.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: Even though it's a crazy, favorite couple to have, I do think that I do think that they're gonna win.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_00]: What is it about them?
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_01]: There was like a whole drama with them.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_01]: She was like a bombshell.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_01]: He was coupled with somebody else.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then they were, she, the, it was, I had.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, if you know, you know, exactly.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you think is the biggest villain this season?
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_01]: Since here.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_00]: Is that a clear thing?
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_00]: Or is that just what you think?
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that this man's name, if I could even say man, this child's name is sincere.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_00]: I told.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_01]: And he, yeah, he'd be acting like a child.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_01]: And he is the most insincere person.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_00]: okay.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_00]: Biggest redemption arc.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_01]: Casey.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: He's a guy.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't Casey one of the favorite, favorite couples?
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so redemption.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's like he really came back.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, most shocking, most shocking recoupling.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's probably the one from today because the way you reacted I thought something like that was like Australia So it's a whole different thing.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_00]: So wait, so which season you talk about right now?
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_00]: U.S. U.S.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_01]: Most shocking recoupling.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like I'm trying.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_01]: There hasn't been a recoupling in like a long time.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's fine.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_00]: We can go to the next best bombshell entrance.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I would say soul probably, but she's not on the show anymore.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_00]: Um, one love island phrase you currently use.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_00]: You don't use any of them.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, probably saying like, Yeah, don't use any.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_00]: And who do you want basically to win this season?
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think who you who you want and who you think is different I would who I want and who I think I don't know I do I would have to just choose to
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_01]: And it could be either or, but I think either Trinity and Bryce, because they've been like a strong couple from the very beginning and they're pretty unproblematic, they've had like a good attitude throughout, they've been open, they've explored, but then they still kind of like turn to each other and you can tell like their connection towards each other really is genuine like it, it would be really fake, it would be really hard to fake it that well.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_00]: You'd be surprised.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it could be surprised.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_00]: But it would be fake, okay?
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_01]: They were my least favorite at the very beginning of the show.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them, I was kind of like, I was over her.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_01]: I was over him.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think that they were that interesting or important or whatever to the show.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_00]: What does someone needs to have to be interesting?
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is it like, does it touch on their personal eyes?
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's like their personality.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: But everybody finds anyone, like, that to me, they weren't as interesting as maybe other people.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_01]: But now I think that they are very, very likely to win, because also they're a fan favorite.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, everybody, it's very hard to have a problem with them online.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_01]: And the audience decides who wins.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think, is it the audience?
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe the other people, though, I can't remember.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I mean, you would have to be the audience, because just the way you
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it could be that where it could be like the fellow islanders decide who wins.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, that's too small of her.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_00]: There's not enough like we go.
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's how much I watch the show.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but yeah, so either Trinity and Bryce or Casey and TT, I think, could win.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know who's in the final for you.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_00]: So how many people are left now?
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_01]: right now there's six couples love bombshells right no so now there's now it's kind of boring now everybody's kind of like okay who's winning this shit oh really because everybody's just like talking about their feelings like I mean I said okay yeah is there a reunion yeah so the reunion is gonna be an August I don't know when but the the season finale is the sunday so the the
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_00]: This was a really good informative episode for me because now I didn't know any of these things.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_00]: How much was your rate to show?
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like quality of entertainment.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like when you watch, are you satisfied?
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like 10?
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm purely reading it on like.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like viewership satisfaction.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_01]: I would say like eight out of 10.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_00]: What makes an episode boring?
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_01]: Or they're just kind of like having chats and like chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat and what's annoying the one thing that I really hate about the show The producers do know that this is a boring episode, but they kind of need like yeah, they're trying like last last episode they had the girls like go to the water park and like, oh, how fun So random.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's like both Brenda and I were like, bro, this episode sucks But it's because it's the end so like there's no more drama to be had nobody's recoupling nobody's you know now you just got to eliminate people how many episodes in season
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, like 30 something so like around 15 to 25 that's like the hot shit.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like anywhere between I would say like episode maybe like 10 10 to 20 25 that's one shit.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's like the real shit.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think I was saying something
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about this.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, but basically we only have an episode.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_01]: We have a Thursday Friday and Sunday.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_01]: We have three episodes left of the season.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_00]: Until next summer.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_00]: The hell.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_01]: But the Australia one comes out in a, like, fall time.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_00]: So how do you think as, like, while you're watching this show, then you're using people as the real names.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure everyone's social media has to be easily found.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_00]: If you're smart about it, like if I went on that show, my ad name would be Yoni Coto.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's not gonna be like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_00]: Is there one that you can actively see that they're definitely going to have a career after this?
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a lot of them.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of them, right?
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's some people that already left the show, like, got dumped from the island and already on social media.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, okay, cool, I'm done with this shit, got my check.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like...
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_00]: They get paid per episode, you think?
- 1:10:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how they, I don't know if they necessarily get paid during the...
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they do, but the one thing I was going to say is just that I met I was going to say earlier, but I didn't get to is like the one thing that my calm with the show is that I don't know why, but all the conversations, a lot of the conversations that are had in between the people are just conversations about how they feel about each other.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_01]: about just like people talking about just banter, getting to know each other and just like, this is how I feel about you, how do you feel about me?
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I feel this way about you.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I feel like I still want to explore this person and I still want to talk to this person, but like at the same time, I really like you and I like where this is going and it's like, the conversations are always just like that.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_01]: And we never really, very rarely, we see sprinkles of couples actually like getting to know each other on like a normal in a normal conversation.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_00]: You think that's what the show is missing.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you would make the episodes like too long.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_00]: No, you'll make it boring.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me why you like me and I'm going to tell you why I like you.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like that gets hell of boring.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe some of the people do just talk about that, which is crazy.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_00]: They probably edit all this shit out.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_00]: The producers are like, yo, they talked about too many personal shit.
- 1:11:39[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_00]: All that footage.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that's actually just a lot of the conversations that they have because there was one point where one of the girls the guy was asking her, like, how do you feel better connection?
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_01]: And she was like, how do you want me to tell you, I feel better connection when we don't even have a connection because we're not even talking about anything but our connection.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, I feel that shit.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_01]: She'd be saying some real shit.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_00]: Who was that?
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_00]: Who said that?
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_01]: Jaden.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_01]: And she said that's too Caleb, but neither of them are on the show.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_00]: That was such a good answer.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, you guys.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is the end of the show.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_00]: Please, let us know if you watch any of these shows, specifically Love Island.
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Let us know what you think.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let me know if you are currently watching it.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, who do you think is going to win?
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, ask them some questions.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what's happening.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have any like questions in this show that you won't be for the comment?
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you're currently watching this season of the Love Island US and Love Island UK, if you're watching that one,
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me who do you think is going to win the U.S.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_01]: But you can't say that because they're like a little bit behind.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_00]: How about this?
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_00]: Who's your favorite and who's your least favorite?
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_00]: No explanation.
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_00]: Just give me names of favorite and then least favorite.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't hear so much about least favorite, to bonus.
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Just tell me who your favorite is.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_01]: That says more about you.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_00]: That says more about you.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_01]: I would love to know that.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_00]: Your favorite was who?
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, T.T.N.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_01]: K.C.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_00]: T.T.N.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_00]: K.C.
- 1:13:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna find out who T.T.N.
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_00]: K.C.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_00]: is guys, okay?
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_00]: So after this episode, I'm gonna try to watch some...
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're the most, the reason why I really liked them is sorry not to cut you off, but... You already did.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's because I think they're like the most compatible out of everybody.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_00]: See, but that's the, that's the boring shit.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Give me someone who's not compatible at all.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_00]: And they just, no, I don't know what I'm talking about guys.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta go eat.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for listening.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_00]: If you stuck around all the way to the end, we appreciate you.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's Wednesday.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's episode day.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to keep it consistent on Wednesday.
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm trying our best.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I'm excited.
- 1:14:01[SPEAKER_00]: So that's it.
- 1:14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, hopefully it don't judge me, but also like if you judge me, then you know, I don't care.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, judge you for what?
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like there's something to be judged, because you said that quite a bit.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's just because I know that it's like, I know how I was thinking in my head when people were really into love island beginning and I didn't watch it myself.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember thinking kind of like, I was a little bit judgmental and I was like, damn, are you all like watching this dumb ass show?
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_01]: Then I was like, you know, let me see what they're talking about.
- 1:14:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then I got hooked.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know me, I don't judge nobody is just not my shit.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand it, but if you like it, that's cool.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_00]: But you never made it.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, it's strong, negative opinions about to show honesty.
- 1:14:46[SPEAKER_00]: I actually don't even want to know.
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay, I get it.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, I judge it too, but it's like, that's the thing.
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_00]: That show is so easy to judge though.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I'm also not watching it thinking like, oh my God, they should have so good.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like nobody's thinking that.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God, so you're just going to take it for what it is.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_01]: And that show isn't trying to be something good either.
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's trying to do exactly what it's doing, which makes it good.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a successfully bad show.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_00]: So that's really bad, so, okay, well, we're gonna leave it at that guy's happy Wednesday.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you enjoyed this episode.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_00]: If you're on a walk, drive in the work, if you listen to this at work, if you listen to this in class, if you're walking your dog, shout out to your dog.
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_00]: If you live, and if you're watching the world cup, hold on a second.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_00]: We have Morocco versus France tomorrow.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:15:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now, starting off with this woke up, I'm just going to say this real quick, my team was Congo.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know, I was born there.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_00]: I was born in Kinshasa.
- 1:15:50[SPEAKER_00]: That is my bloodline.
- 1:15:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's my country.
- 1:15:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm very proud of how we played.
- 1:15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's that.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_00]: But Morocco versus France, honestly, I have to go with any country that's from Africa.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, understandably so.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, so Morocco.
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you guys, Senegal broke my heart losing at the end like that was not fun to watch.
- 1:16:19[SPEAKER_00]: Egypt was not fun to watch yesterday.
- 1:16:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very sad Columbia lost.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_00]: This is Argentina.
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_00]: There have been some crazy games.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_00]: I know Messi is probably the greatest ever.
- 1:16:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sad, Ronaldo is out, but Egypt yesterday hurt, Columbia hurt, I really love the Columbia team.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_00]: The Mexico loss hurt me as well.
- 1:16:43[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many heartbreaks in this world cup.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_00]: But tomorrow, I am fully team, Morocco, France.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_00]: I love you guys and Bapé.
- 1:16:54[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody on that team, you guys are, you know, you guys are, I don't know.
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Who are friends?
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, they're probably like they're so good, but I always go with the on the doors, okay?
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_00]: So anybody from Morocco, I'm with you guys, let's go, because we love, I say we, Morocco lost against France last time.
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_00]: And now, somehow, they always play against each other.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's like a calculator thing, but anyways, go more aqua.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to see a good game, good luck to France as well.
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_00]: I love all your players, but you know, I'm going with team Africa.
- 1:17:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that is it.
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's like another game too.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: There's a Belgium versus, uh, I'm sorry, I guess not.
- 1:17:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, there is.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who's still playing.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_01]: This has been the summer of sports, yeah.
- 1:17:48[SPEAKER_01]: You've been watching it.
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't been watching it.
- 1:17:50[SPEAKER_00]: I've been watching it.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't been watching the World Cup or so.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like I couldn't decide which team played against you and then she was like, oh, yeah, no, this was this and this I was like, damn, I'm okay.
- 1:18:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like why do I want to talk with that with me?
- 1:18:02[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so tomorrow we have friends versus Luma Rock.
- 1:18:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then we have Spain versus Belgium.
- 1:18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I'm going to be Belgium.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be Belgium if you didn't know.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going between the two, my connection is obviously Belgium.
- 1:18:18[SPEAKER_01]: So is it that between these two, those team will play each other?
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it could be like Belgium and France or something.
- 1:18:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, I don't have the full bracket in front of me right now, but and then after that we have no way in England I do want England to win, okay?
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, um, that's like for the quarter final quarter finals Spain, Belgium and quarter finals France control the Marocca
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay, so tomorrow I will be watching and I'm rooting for Morocco.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_00]: So semi-emission Instagram.
- 1:18:51[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me who's your team.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me who was your team?
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you think's gonna be?
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know?
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_01]: Probably France, France.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, more Argentina.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah.
- 1:19:09[SPEAKER_01]: Who won last World Cup Argentine?
- 1:19:12[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:19:13[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like it is kind of like it's like I get it but there's something kind of boring about like the same teams always went on.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like imagine if if imagine if Ivory Coast won.
- 1:19:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my goodness.
- 1:19:24[SPEAKER_01]: That game was cream.
- 1:19:25[SPEAKER_00]: They almost lost.
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_01]: They almost won.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_00]: Argentine almost lost, yeah.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
- 1:19:29[SPEAKER_00]: But shout out to everybody, honestly, all the countries, all the hard breaks that happen, if your team lost, you know who I really felt don't Mexico.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, I don't know if I watched that game.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know, something about that game, I was just like damn.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, guys, we can keep talking about the woke up, but shoot that message.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I feel talk about it more in depth, just like the summer of sports next episode.
- 1:19:52[SPEAKER_00]: Next episode, right?
- 1:19:53[SPEAKER_00]: Because I feel like there's going to be a lot of games by then, by next week.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_00]: By next week, we might know who won.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Shit, yeah, we might.
- 1:20:00[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, bye.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Let us know in the comments whatever you think about love island We would love to know.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, and Also like the world cup, what do you want to win the tech?
- 1:20:09[SPEAKER_00]: Why you keep looking at your phone?
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_00]: What's in there?
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_01]: Because I gotta I gotta go.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay That's what you keep looking at your phone.
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like yo, you text and somebody you voting for no love island Okay, bye
