- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, what's up, Brown Span's welcome back to another episode of The Dogs, podcast, Josh, all your host here on a Tuesday morning, just a couple of days removed, and yet another loss for the Cleveland Browns here in 2025.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now, two and eight, on the season after going down to the Baltimore Ravens, at home, in a game that, like we said on Sunday night after the game, the Ravens really didn't seem to want to win.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: they were not too interested in coming into Cleveland and making a statement against the Browns their division rivals.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, honestly,
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: It really sucks, it's kind of been the story for a lot of games so far this season.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: Browns had every opportunity right in front of them to win that game and just couldn't do it.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen a lot of people online blaming Shador Sanders for losing the game, which I don't quite understand.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen people say that if Dylan Gabriel had played the second half, the Browns would definitely have one.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where people are getting that either considering we had the ball at the 6-year line after a Raven's muffed punt and couldn't score a touchdown ran three plays and had two kick a feel goal.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that was what Dylan Gabriel at quarterback.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I just I don't know.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: We need to talk about the dynamic here with this team and we also need to talk about Mary K.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: That said, Shador Sanders will start on Sunday against the Raiders.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: It was not a most likely will start or in line to start.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: She flat out said he will start and she's basing that on the fact that yesterday Kevin's defense, he said, Dylan, Gabriel obviously is still in the concussion protocol and she's going off of past history and everything like that with the NFL, which we talked about Sunday as well.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: that players that enter the concussion protocol like that do not get cleared the following weeks.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: So like she said in her right up, barring an unforeseen circumstance should or Sanders will start Sunday against the Raiders and those unforeseen circumstances are somehow Dylan Gabriel magically gets cleared from concussion protocol before Sunday.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's one.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: injuries and oblique strain, a shoulder soreness, back tightness, something like that.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Don't rule it out.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it's going to happen.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sitting here trying to be conspiracy theory, but don't rule out some weird report later this week that should or Sanders, maybe tomorrow, Wednesday on the practice report, you know, it'll come out Zach Jackson, those guys, the media people up there in Maria are going to come out on Twitter and say, should or Sanders not seeing at the beginning
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: I probably won't happen, but man, that would be very interesting if it did.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll dive into a whole bunch of this stuff here today.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, if you guys want to be part of our dog pack community, get more involved with us, have 24, 7 conversations with all the great amazing diehard Browns fans in that community.

- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: So where do we want to begin today?
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about this real quick.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: The Cleveland Browns offense, and I said this on Sunday as well.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: The Cleveland Browns offense is easily the worst offense I have ever watched.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen an
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: more untalented, less talented.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: I guess would be the right way to say that Josh, get your grammar right here on Tuesday morning.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: This team blows, like on the offensive side of the ball, I've in all of the years that I've, I don't know if an NFL team has ever put out a worse product.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: on offense.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, KT Leveston is your backup tackle.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's your backup swing tackle.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: If one of your starters goes out, you've got to bring in KT Leveston.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Are you kidding me?
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: This guy.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go look at KT Leveston real quick.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, scratch that.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: We're not going to look at Leveston because PFF apparently their website has crashed.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: So whatever, glad I pay for that nonsense anyhow.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to move this morning, probably because I didn't sleep a whole lot.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's early and I finally got my kid to sleep.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, let's move on here.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: So Shidorah Sanders is going to theoretically be starting Sunday behind an offensive line that I have not seen any updates yet on the statuses for Cam Robinson and Jack Conklin, but Cam Robinson had to leave the game.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: I believe that was a knee injury.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't it?
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, sorry guys.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even have time to put notes together today because
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: My kid fell asleep, and I was like, oh, put him down and get the podcast.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: So we've got from Kevin Sefanski's press conference yesterday, Jack Conklin, Cam Robinson, both in the injuries and he says we're gonna treat those day to day.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if those two guys can't play, okay, we're even one of them.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: That means KT Leveston is on your offensive line and we've talked so much about how this tackle situation is killing the Browns.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: Just absolutely killing them.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: They can't block anybody and
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: This is a Raiders team with Mason Freaking Cross B on the defensive line.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know who else they have.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: I got to go and look up everything about the Raiders to prep for Thursday's preview show, but I do know they have Max Cross B and I do know he is a monster.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: He is going to terrorize our offensive line and Shador Sanders.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be a lot of
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: know where you go on with the ball and get it out quick because these this tackle situation is terrible.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: You got Dom Jones the corner back who was called up from the practice squad.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: He left with a significant knee injury according to Kevin said he's as likely heading to IR.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then Dylan gave her obviously remains in concussion concussion, concussion protocol.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm having a really tough time today.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you guys can bear with me on this.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: But going back to my point about how bad this offense is and it starts up front with this offensive line being a trotace.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the receivers are bad.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: The quarterback play has been terrible this year.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: We can't run the frickin' ball even though Quinshawn, he's doing everything he can to try to get the team yards.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: There's just nothing to be had.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: And what sucks so much about this is it has been 15.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: 15 straight games that the Brown's offense has failed to generate more than 17 points.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's unbelievable.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I know people will say, well, what about the Miami game?
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: We scored 31.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: We scored 31 points as a team.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: We had seven points from Tyson Campbell's pick six.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then we got another touchdown seven more points off of, uh, was a great help it who had the interception, uh, uh, all I think was, I think was Hickman.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie Hickman had an interception return to the two.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: and that's where quench on punch it in on that direct snap.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: So that's not the offense generating points.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's just finishing off with the defense starter.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: So that's 14 points generated.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's not scored but generated by the defense against the dolphins.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: Brown's offense only generated 17.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: We have not generated more than 17 points on offense in the last 15 straight games.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you want to go back even further, it has been three games out of the last 29.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: 29 games, only three, has the Brown's offense generated more than 17 points.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: Think about that.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: Think about that.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's almost one out of every 10 games.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: This offense is able to generate more than 17 points.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: No wonder we're five and twenty two over the last two seasons.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is a bit, and I've hearted on this offensive situation all season obviously because it is just, it's, it's glaringly, this is the issue with the team and it just grinds my gears because that's Kevin's defense key side of the ball.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: That is his specialty.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing, you know, people will say, well, look at the personnel.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're telling me that the Browns front office wanted to hire an offensive head coach and then provide him with nobody on that side of the ball.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: This whole, this whole operation is dysfunctional and falling apart at the seams.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: I, I'm ready to clean house.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm ready to just gut the whole thing.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody needs to go.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking about players.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about everybody in the regime.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: making the decisions, the coaching guys, the coaching has been so bad for years now.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, across the board.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, we're going to have games like we did on Sunday where he's special teams made some plays.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's great.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are professional athletes playing the sport at the highest level in the world.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you should be able to make a play or two here and there.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's great and wonderful.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: But overall, the special teams have been
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: But they give up.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to give up a major play, a big play.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: They give up a Bayrunner Derrick Henry.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to, they're going to get gashed at some point.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: And that's, I mean, it's football is professional footballs NFL.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: These things are going to happen.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: But if you don't have complimentary play between all three phases, you're never going to win a game.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we saw on Sunday.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns offense generated six points in that game.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: six, six, freaking points.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: You had a pick six by Devin Bush that put seven points on the board.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then you had a muffed punt.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: The Ravens muffed a punt that the Browns got at the six yard line and couldn't freaking score a touchdown.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: We had to kick a field goal.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: So right there is 10 points generated by the defense and the special teams.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: Why not even the special teams?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: Just the fact that they muffed the punt.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not giving that as an offensive generated three points.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: We scored 16 points in that game, and 10 points didn't even come from our offense.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: We generated six freaking points.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: Not going to get the job done.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to get it done, and there's obviously no fix for it this year, and I'm excited for Shidorah Sanders.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about him here and all that kind of stuff.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I feel like there's been there's been a lot of people online that are kind of angry or, you know, doing victory laps over his performance on Sunday and saying, Oh, oh, everybody wants to see Shidorah.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad you guys got what you wanted.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, he came in in the second half off the bench in a game that Kevin himself said afterwards, these were the first snaps that Shidorah Sanders has ever taken with the first team
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, why a teller after the game came out and said, I'm pretty sure that was the first time I've ever heard his cadence, the offensive line got together right before the second half and did a couple practice snaps or whatever I think in the tunnel or something like that or on the sideline, just to try to learn what should or Sanders cadence is.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: What do you want this offense?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: What do you want this quarterback to do?
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: When the offensive line doesn't even know your snap count or has no familiarity, no experience with you taking snaps?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: Should or Sanders after the game said, that was the first pass he's ever thrown to Jerry Judy.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns number one wide receiver has never
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Cena pass, come his way from Shidorah Sanders, not in, you know, preseason practice training camp nothing.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's never, there's been no rapport between these receivers and this quarterback.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he has been here since April.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: And that's kind of where I,
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: I've taken some heat from some people, but I think most people probably agree with me online and I put some polls out there It's roughly 90% of Browns fans and people out there want to see Shidorah Sanders continue to play and start for the Browns So nine out of ten people
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: are ready for Shador done with Dylan and, you know, there's been former NFL quarterbacks backups and stuff like that have come out and said, you know, the back of quarterback never takes reps during practice like this isn't, this isn't something weird, this isn't something new, like Shador shouldn't be taking reps during practice.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: And my pushback on all of that has been this browns quarterback situation is not normal.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing typical or usual or normal about this situation.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: The browns drafted two rookie quarterbacks, which looking, I mean, we've questioned it since the beginning, the way they did it and looking back on it now was totally stupid.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: Just totally stupid.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_01]: And another reason why I want this regime gone, they just do stupid things.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: But it makes no sense the way they've, if you're going to do this, then the way you've handled it has been stupid.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: It really has.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: And let's talk about it because, so the people will say, backup quarterbacks don't take first team reps in practice.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: Then why was Dylan Gabriel taking first team reps when he was the backup quarterback behind Joe Flacco?
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and people don't really have a good response for that other than, won't Joe Flacco's old and been around forever.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't need all the reps.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so can't you use the same argument for Shidorah Sanders?
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: Shidorah Sanders is young and has no experience.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: He really does need reps in practice.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're one freaking play away from being in the game, like we saw on Sunday, and you're not preparing this guy.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: for that situation if it comes up.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's on coaching.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: That is 100% on coaching.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't have this guy prepared to come in on Sunday.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care what anybody says.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't prepared.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't prepared.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: The offensive line didn't know his cadence.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: These receivers have never received a pass from him in practice ever.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: people are wondering why he came out and was four for 16 and struggled in the second half.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have him ready.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: They have been giving first team reps to Dylan Gabriel since the day he got in Maria.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: They handed them to him.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: They just say here, we believe in you so much.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: We like you so much.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: We want you to succeed so much.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: Here's first team opportunities right out of the gate.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan Gabriel and I don't want this to come across.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: I've said this before.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: We've
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: I like Dylan Gabriel as a person, as a player.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a good guy, but in the situation for my football team, this pisses me off.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: This kid, this rookie, this third round rookie, did nothing to earn first team reps, nothing, nothing.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: They just handed them to him.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: They just handed them to him, said, we're putting you in position.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: We believe that you can be a starter for this team and you will start for this team this year.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: That was predetermined.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: that was predetermined immediately in the draft and you know giving a veteran quarterback a couple games to start the season was kind of just a formality at that point because like I said pre-determined Dylan Gabriel was going to be the starter for the Browns this season.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: Hell, I don't know.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: What did Kevin or A.B.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: or anybody see in this kid on?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, people was, well, you guys were okay with Dylan Gabriel pickback when it happened.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we kind of had to be, I mean, first of all, no, we weren't.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: We were very confused as to why it happened.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: And then we went back and we were looking at stats and things from college.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: We're like, okay, you know, whatever.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of interesting.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe this could be sneaky or whatever.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think Blake said that a bunch.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sneaky, interested in Dylan Gabriel.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, what did you guys see on the film?
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like the brown scouting department, what are you watching on the table?
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: You said, oh, we have got to use this their round pick on Dylan Gabriel.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then for Kevin and the coaching staff to say, we have got to make sure he's our starter this year.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: What are we doing?
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: What are we doing?
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: And then to go back to the whole, the whole draft thing being dumb.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, and these were my reactions when it happened, you know, it was late on, I guess I've been Friday night, I'm watching the draft, pick comes in, I want to see who the Browns take, Dylan Gabriel, out of Oregon.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what, hadn't even talked about I've never once said his name in the entire pre-drift process and all of the, you know, the draft and prospect episodes and breakdowns that I did all throughout that process never once was doing Gabriel in any of my research or anything.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I was just kind of out of left field like, okay, well, doing Gabriel interesting.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot of guys on the board that I liked.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: still at that point, but that's what the Browns wanted to do.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: So, and at that point, it kept coming through, like, well, the Browns are going to take Shador at this pick.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: How about this pick?
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: Because, you know, all of these teams that need quarterbacks keep passing on Shador Sanders.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then the Browns take Dillon Gabriel.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, well, Shador is all far bored completely, because we just took our quarterback.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: So, Saturday comes around, sitting there watching the draft,
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: not expecting anything thing.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe we'll take an offensive line and there's something that why would we take an offensive line?
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know who needs those guys?
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Or receiver who needs those guys?
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, we trade two picks to move back up in the fifth round to get Shoulddoor Sanders.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, what are we doing?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: What are we doing?
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: And immediately everything about Dylan Gabriel just went out the door.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: because it doesn't matter what this kid does.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: The focus is going to be on Shador Sanders now.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: You took the guy that everybody mocked you taking at number two overall at 144.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: And now everybody just wants to see what he can do in the NFL because even before the draft everybody wanted to see what he could do in the NFL.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, you put a limit, an expiration date on Dylan Gabriel's opportunity, no matter how he performed.
- 19:07[UNKNOWN]: Does it matter?
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: Does it matter if he comes out this season as the starter over his five starts and looks decent or has some wow plays or whatever, does not matter at that point in the draft.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: What the future looks like for Dylan Gabriel?
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: You have an expiration date on him because you draft a Shidorah Sanders.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: That makes me think, even more, it was not Kevin's decision to do that.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he was on board with that.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: So, now, here we are, and we knew we were a playaway from Shador coming in, and it happened till Gabriel goes out with a concussion, Shador Sanders comes in, he's totally unprepared.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: And now you've got this rift among the fanbase and media people and everything saying, you know that this is the way it's supposed to be, these guys are not supposed to get practice reps and other people saying, why wouldn't you have him ready to go?
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm definitely on the side of you got two rookie quarterbacks, and that's it.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: One your starter, one your backup, and if you're only focusing and preparing one of those guys for the game and giving one of those guys reps with the starters,
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's on the coaching staff.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's my, that's malpractice for the coaching.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, you've got to get both these guys ready.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: At least, because, and I'm not saying 50, 50 split, I'm saying Shador needs to come in and get some practice reps each day during the week, leading up to the game.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: He needs to get some reps with the offensive line, the starters, with the starting receivers, just to get a little bit of experience and rapport with those guys.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: And you saw exactly why that's important and what the effect is of not having it when he came in on Sunday.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I know that a lot of the same people who are trying to defend Dillon Gabriel and have been saying well you can't judge Dillon Gabriel after five starts are the same people already saying that Shador Sanders is a bus after one half of unprepared football.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by Bodden Sports.

- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I apologize, you know, I wanted to do this episode for you guys and get this knocked out early in the morning because again, I have no control over my child's sleeping schedule during the day, he dictates everything in this household right now.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, apparently nothing online is working.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: I can't get PFF to load.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: I can't even get Twitter to load.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: So, I, there were some things I wanted to pull up and look at, and I just unfortunately am unable to do it because I don't know.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: what's going on out there in the world did something crash are we under the zombie apocalypse?
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, you guys are going to watch this in life because probably nothing happened.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Or nothing's going on with your internet for some reason.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: Mine is just I can't get anything to lose driving me nuts.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I just wanted to talk about this team and the organization, Shador Sanders starting on Sunday with, you know, against the Raiders.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll do the preview on Thursday like we always do, but I just kind of want to get out in front of it and say,
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: one, it's a road game.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Our defense does not travel.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen that.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, we lost to the jets.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: We lost to the jets.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen people say, oh, well, you know, we're going to beat the raiders.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: Slow a year roll on that one.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: We lost to the jets.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if the jets came to Cleveland
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: that it is the strangest phenomenon that the browns defense, same players, same scheme, same coaching, two completely different units.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: when you're at home versus when you're on the road.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get it.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get it.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: It is so, so weird.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: I understand there being somewhat of a differentiation between the output, home and away, just because obviously you got your home fan base, you got the away fan, you're like, there's some of that energy in the stadium noise and all that kind of stuff.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: But it's so drastic for the Browns defense.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's unreal that they can be so dominant.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: They're like the number one defense, baby.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: They are elite.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: when they are in Cleveland.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: You get them out of the out of Cleveland and in some a way stadium.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know who they are.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: They're imposter.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: So weird.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why on Sunday against the Raiders.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, let's just let's just hang back because you know, genosmith and that Raiders offense has not been looking good at all, but guys we lost to Justin Fields and the Jets offense.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: The Raiders are definitely better than the Jets.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: Chino Smith is better than Justin Fields.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: They've got Ashton, Jenty.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: They've got Brock Bowers.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like they've got some dues on offense and it does concern me against our road defense.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: Our special teams is known for making some blunders on the road.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: and our offenses are offense.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I do feel like Shador standard is going to have the cars, the deck stacked against them, which sucks.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm excited to see what a week of preparation and an actual week of practice reps. Just get some reps, get some timing, get some rhythm down with your line, with your running backs, with your receivers.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: And let's see if we can carve out some of those,
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: bad habits that we've seen the drifting in the pocket, the taking the big sacks, all that kind of stuff.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of that does we talked about this during the pre-draft process.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of that stuff stems from should or trying to make plays down field.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not a bad thing.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a bad thing to have your eyes down field, waiting for the guy to come open, waiting for the big play, all that kind of stuff.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: But you have got to know your internal clock.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: And when you see
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, with the Brown's offensive line, your internal clock needs to be adjusted by about a second and a half.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're thinking after three seconds, I need this ball needs to be gone.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: You better about a second and a half.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: If you hit two seconds, you better be getting rid of that ball, because
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: We're just not going to give you the time to hold on to it and make a play and low in the hold PFF has loaded All right, we can talk about stuff.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: I do appreciate you guys just kind of hanging with me through this one No, this episode's probably been more rough than a lot of the ones I do because like I said Didn't have a chance putting notes together trying to get this done before my kid wakes up and you know, got
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: The thing with my, let me just aside here for all you parents out there, I want to know in the comments like, how crazy is your nap schedule with your kids?
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know there's like sleep training and all this other stuff.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: And just for us, it doesn't work.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like he sleeps when he wants to sleep and he's up when he wants to be up.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, it's, what, almost eight o'clock a.m. right now, my time.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: He was up so much during the night that now he's actually getting his sleep.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: He might wake up at 830, he might wake up at 9.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: He might not go back to sleep until 9 tonight.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's insane.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: It is like at some point you got to take a nap, right?
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: You got to be tired.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: Not this kid.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: Not this kid.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: So back to PFF.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: We got some stats loaded up here.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: the the the pass blocking is is rough.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: So if you want to go like just looking at the grades, just strictly looking at the grades, the, let's see, we've got, Kim Robinson only took six pass blocking snaps in the whole game before he was out.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: You got postic teller, Betonio, the interior of your line, all with a 75 greater higher.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, your tackles, KT Leviston and the other starter,
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: KT Leveston was had a higher grade than Jack Conklin.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: He had 54 Jack Conklin was at 47.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: These tackles are terrible.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my goodness.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they each gave up, let's see, KT Leveston was charged with two sex.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: Jack Conklin won, and those were the only sex in the game on that.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: it's rough.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: It is rough on that offensive line.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then to look at like the passing break down stuff for Shidorah Sanders, if you look at his splits, like we ran three play action passes, which Shidorah Sanders, he completed one of them for five yards.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then the other 18 were no play action.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: He actually completed three out of 13 pass attempts.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: with no play action for 42 yards.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: He obviously had 47 total for the game for the half.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: I should say, and then if you want to look at, let's see, like passing depth.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: This is all stuff I usually look at before the show.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: Deep, deep passing.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: He attempted three completed one for 25 yards.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: That was the nice pass down the field.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think was the the dig route to Harold Fan and Jr.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: That was a great strike down the field medium, which is what I always harp on about being the air.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: You got to be good at.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: He attempted two passes between 10 and 19 yards completed, none.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: And then short passes were eight attempts, three completions for 20 to yards.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: His interception came in that medium intermediate range of the field.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Just to give you guys some ideas on that, I don't think any of it really matters.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: to be honest with you.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: I look at the stats, I look at the numbers, these metrics from the game on Sunday for Shador and it's like, I don't really care.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really, it doesn't matter to me because he wasn't, he wasn't supposed to be in the game, he wasn't prepared to be in the game, so I don't really care how it looked, honestly I did.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's about what I expected.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, this is going to be a struggle for no matter who place quarterback for the Browns.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: Do I expect things to look better on Sunday against the Raiders?
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a little bit.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a little.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, let me know in the comments what you guys think about Shador Sanders starting Sunday.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: What do you expect?
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: What are you watching for?
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because if we're going to say, you know, you can't judge Dylan Gabriel after one start.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're not going to be able to judge should or standard after one start either, whether it's good or bad, Blake said that's Sunday night.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: He could come out and light it up on Sunday and we're not going to sit here and say answer, found.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: Cuby savior of the franchise.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: We are good to go.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: Check it off the list.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: just one game.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: We had to see how it looks.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking for some improvements on timing with the ball in the pocket.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, some better decision making on, you know, if he's getting pressure, find you check down quick.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: Don't try to force the ball.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, his interception was a play where he tried to force the ball to a spot that never he never should have even attempted to throw that
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: The corner back was wide open by himself, over there, that route was completely taken away.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, can we sustain drives?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: Can we pick up third-downs?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: Can we move the ball down the field?
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Can we actually generate some points on offense?
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: Can Shador Sanders do enough in the passing game that it opens up the run game and gives Quinshawn Judd, can some opportunity to pick up some yards and make some plays?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the types of things that we need to see.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's all going to be very difficult to come by.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: with the offensive line play, but we'll see how it goes.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: I did want to bring up real quick the Shedor's press conference after the game.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, I thought,
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: Again, like I don't really listen to the press conferences too much.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'll watch the clips a little bit, but I really like to just go actually read the transcript because then I can get a good, a better idea of what was actually said a lot of times.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: So he was asked, you know, how do you think you played in that game?
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, I don't think I played good, I don't think I played good at all.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: So very, very upfront with it, like he knows, he knows it didn't go well for him.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I think it's a lot of things.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know,
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: Here's where you got interesting.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: We need to look, a lot of things we need to look at during the week and go and just get comfortable, even throwing routes.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, with Jerry Judy and throwing routes with all those guys.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that was my first ball to him all year, but other than that, I just think overall we just got to get out next week and understood.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: So then we have a week to prepare stuff I like to do.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: So get him in there, get him those reps, get him prepped with this team and this offense and everything else.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing that was interesting that he said and I wanted to point this out, but he was talking about the fans when they asked him, do you notice a reaction from the fans when you came into the game and were able to soak all of that in?
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, yeah, I'm extremely thankful.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: But first, let me say this, when Dylan out there playing and all that, I appreciate the fans.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate everybody.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: And he's talking about when they're chanting, we want Shador or whatever they're chanting, to get Dylan out and get him in.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: He says, but I'm a good person overall.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't really like Dylan not feeling comfortable or confident when he gets out there.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it puts everything on a tough spot.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not helping the team.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: he said so that could be taken as okay I'm being a distraction even though I ain't doing that he says even though I'm not doing nothing he's so is so basically stop chaining for sure door when Dylan's in the game because he's even out here saying like that doesn't help us that doesn't help us win games or be able to do what we want to do on offense so
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like that was a cool leadership moment for him.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't asking anything about that specifically.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't the point of the question.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: And he felt the need to put that in there.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: But then he continued to say, you know, I'm very thankful for the fans.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thankful for the support.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I just want to go out there and do the best I can.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's stuff.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be an interesting week.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be an interesting Sunday.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be an interesting game.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: We do have an opportunity here to make a statement.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: The Raiders are a very bad football team overall.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns are a very bad football team on the road.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Overall.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it's gonna be a matchup of suck once again just like it wasn't New York.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it goes.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by Omaha Stakes.

- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's really like it's awesome to hear from you.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to send in a voicemail, get your thoughts and questions on the show.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: Go to www.thedogspodcast and tap.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: Leave voicemail in the drop down menu.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's a section there.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: And you can record the voicemail, or you can just type a message and send it to us.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll get that and read it on the show.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: We've done that before.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: So this voice mail from Conner, while here, let's listen to it real quick.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'll talk about it.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: Hey boys, I just had a question for Blake, I was wondering what he thought of Kevin already coming out and said that if Dylan clears the concussion protocol, which doesn't normally happen, but if it did, right?
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we're going to see Dylan ultimately on Sunday against the readers.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I just wanted to know what the insight was of him already going back to Dylan, like does he not see
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: that Dylan can't make those sideline signlight throws or throw the ball deep down the field.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: Now I know Shader didn't look good by any stretch of imagination, but you could just see a little bit of touch on the ball, a little bit of juice, like he showed a little bit of heart running for a
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: a few throws that were better than anything, Dylan's put together in six weeks now.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, it's the fancy not watching the games because you got Shader Sanders who doesn't have the reps, doesn't have much hasn't had much form and the Dylan has had everything in his disposal.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, he's getting ready to go back with Dylan for whatever reason.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that looks like he's skipping rocks when he throws the ball.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but with that being said, go dogs, okay.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: Again, thanks Connor for the for the voice mail.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it does look like Dylan skipping fricking rocks whenever he's throwing the ball out there.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, obviously you, you said the question was for Blake, but you, we won't get Blake on the show until Sunday night.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: And at that point, the game will be over.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll know who started.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that point will be moved at least for the time being.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: As far as
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: I talked about that already here.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like the whole, what did you guys see in the film?
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: What did you guys see in your private workouts from this kid that you thought, man, we just have to use the third round pick.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: And then not only that, but we have to make damn sure he starts this season by all means.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: It is mind blowing to continue to watch them put him out there.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: But you guys know, like, you know, my opinion, Connor on the whole Kevin's defense thing.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: And Blake's kind of coming on to that to a little bit.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: He has said in weeks past, like, if Kevin continues to put Dylan out there, that's where he's going to start souring on Kevin.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: Me, I am full spoiled milk on Kevin's defense.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: He get him out of here.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: Get this whole coaching staff, this whole regime, get everybody
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: We have got to purge this organization from all this losing nonsense.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: I want Andrew Barry gone.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: I want Kevin gone.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: I want to just get rid of everybody.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: They suck.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: They suck.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: You've won five games in two years.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: Get out.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: Just get out.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: Time for somebody else.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_01]: Get out.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, Connor.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the deal is with Dylan.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know that no matter what here on Sunday, let's talk about that for a second.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: So let's say the report from Mary Kay and everything like that all comes up for wishing Dylan Gabriel.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's out with concussion and should or Sanders preps all weekend.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: He is the starter Sunday and let's say that should or comes out and looks good.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: Looks good in the game and the Browns went.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then Dylan Gabriel, excuse me, Dylan Gabriel clears concussion protocol on Monday.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: You want to talk about drama and Cleveland.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: Things could get very interesting because even if Shondor Sanders plays well this weekend in Vegas and the Browns win.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: Stephanski will go back to Dylan Gabriel as soon as he's healthy.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: You can't change my mind until I hear Kevin or somebody within the Browns organization some authority figure say that we are moving forward with Shidorah Sanders as our starting quarterback for the foreseeable future until I hear that statement made.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: I will bet everything that Kevin goes back to Dylan as soon as he's healthy does not matter what should or does this week.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't matter.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan Gabriel will be the starter the following week at home against the 49ers if he's healthy.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: I guarantee it, guarantee it.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys let me know in the comments what do you think Connor, if you're out there listening, drop it in the
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: If should doorstanders play as well this week.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: And the Browns win, or even if they don't win, just say he plays well, say his performance looks great in the Browns loose because the defense sucks for the special teams gives up two touchdowns again or something, whatever.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: But Shidorah looks good.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then Dylan Clear's concussion protocol next week and Kevin is right back to Dylan's starter.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: How are you guys going to react to that?
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: Let me know your thoughts on various issues at the here, what you guys have to say about that.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so we got a second voicemail here today.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: This one is from Grant.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is interesting.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, what's up dog pack faithful to boy Grant coming out you're in small time.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_03]: I will Um, I will start by saying I am I am a dealing Gabriel backer.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'll wash my UCF.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'll wash my Boomer alcohol mama Boomer sooner took dog Bama.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go loving it.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I watched my organ.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_03]: He played great.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, um,
- 41:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I do think he has what takes to be a good quarterback in the NFL.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_03]: I think we can all agree that he isn't a bad spot, right?
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: We can all agree the all line for the Browns.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: It sucks.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: The white receivers, not that great.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_03]: The coaching staff and all that.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_03]: The other regime with Dean Barry Severs and special teams.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's just not that great, right?
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: So it let's just speak honestly here.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: I think dealing gay really got dressing at best, but and I think should der, even if should derke a ball out, I don't think him balling out is going to be enough to do anything good for the Browns.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: It could be a spark.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I don't know.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll play, I thought he saw a little bit of juice behind the Browns when he came in against the Ravens Sunday.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't I didn't really see it.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I'm wrong.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_03]: I hope I'm wrong.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go, Browns.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: Woo.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right, thank you Grant for the voicemail.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: So you are one of the, like I said, nine out of 10 Browns fans, at least based on all the polls and everything that I've put out on all the social medias and all of our followers, nine out of 10, one of C. Shador Sanders moving forward and they're done with Dylan Gabriel.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: You are that one, my friend Grant.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: You are the one of 10, my man, who still wants Dylan Gabriel.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: Listen.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: We thought that there might be an opportunity, maybe we said sneaky interested with Dylan after the draft and all that stuff, but everything.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: And this goes back to training camp.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was like Zack Jackson, Darrell Wright, or the guys who were there watching the practices every day.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_01]: They posted every single day.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan Gabriel does not look like an NFL quarterback.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: We heard that repeated so many times and then he gets on the field and
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I understand that you think he's looked good, but personally, man, I just don't see it.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he looks like an NFL quarterback that you can't make the throws.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: He can't make the throws we talked on Sunday.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: Should door on the first drive, made a throw out to the sideline to Cedric Tillman, and he hit him, and stride to the sideline.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a pass that I've seen Dylan over and over, skip to the sideline.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: That thing would hit the hash marks and bounce twice before it ever got to Cedric Tillman.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: So there is part of me that wonders, okay, and this is where I'll give you a little bit grant.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: There is a part of me that wonders if Dylan gave you a wooden look a little bit better somewhere else.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: Just, and this is just because every quarter back lately that we have seen play for Kevin Stephanski and the Browns offense has looked better somewhere else.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: uh... the most recent obviously is geoflacco and and it's not and people will say well it's just good geoflacco is tomorrow chase and teahicans okay for for get about that first i can forget about the players in the personnel geoflacco himself the man the forty-year-old physically looks different
- 44:36[SPEAKER_01]: And since the 90, then he looked here, he, it doesn't, I don't care who he's throwing to.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: In Cleveland, when Joe Flacco tried to throw the ball down the field, it looked like he had a dead arm.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: It looked like he couldn't, we said he was washed.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: We said he was old and busted.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_01]: We said that doesn't work anymore.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: He can't play the position.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: That was our takeaway from Joe Flacco and Cleveland was he can't play the position anymore.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's too old.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have the arms strength, the, we said that.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: And we say the same thing about Dylan Gabriel.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have the arm strength.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: He can't play the position.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have the physical tools.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: We said the same thing about Deshawn Watson last year.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: We said the same thing about everybody who's playing quarterback for the Browns.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: And they go somewhere else and it's like, maybe we were wrong.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's just us.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you that.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: There might be something to it.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now do I think that Dylan Gabriel will go to another team or could go to another team and actually be a starting NFL quarterback?
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't think so.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: Do I think he can go somewhere else and look a little better?
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: Probably wouldn't surprise me.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody does.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: We suck.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: This offense terrible.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, thank you for the voicemail and continue to do your Dillon Gabriel thing.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: I applaud you for being outright and vocal about it.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: That is awesome.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to take a lot of heat.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think from most Browns fans who are done with this experiment, but
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, stick to your guns, man.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: Stick to your guns.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I appreciate that.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I appreciate the voicemail.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for calling in and showing me, showing us, showing all of us that there are the Dillon Gabriel supporters out there and giving your side of the, of the coin on that one because
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: We don't see it, but it's cool that somebody out there does, and again, it could very well.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of the how bad he looks could be the offense.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: It very well could be.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody looks bad here.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: Just as what it is.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: But hopefully, you know, he's obviously we don't wish injury on anybody.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: We want Dylan to be okay.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: CT is a real thing.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't want him to be dealing with any long-term effects.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we saw all Senator Tillman last year missed the entire
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: doing's okay and everything and he can come back, but you know, going back to Connor's voice mail grant, I do.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_01]: firmly believe that Dylan Gabriel will be the starter again, probably as soon as next Sunday.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: So just if you like Dylan Gabriel, you want to see more of them stay tuned because I guarantee you will.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I feel like that was a great way to wrap up this show.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you guys for sending in the voice mail.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I apologize for this show being a little more like just off-kilter because I didn't again, did not have time to prepare.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: And he notes or anything like that half the time to day.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like Twitter and PFF and stuff just weren't loading.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: They were popping up with server errors and everything on their website.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I just, I wanted to get this show done and get the content out to you guys.
