- 0:00Speaker 1: And what's going on, everybody? It's Romeo. We made it
- 0:01Speaker 1: back from the weekend. It's Monday. We talked about the NFL.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We talked about football. We talked about divorced women and
- 0:09Speaker 1: how they are the best to date. So let's get going.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Let's talk about texting for a minute. Yesterday, a buddy
- 0:15Speaker 1: of mine, about 11 a.m., he texted me, Rome, let's
- 0:17Speaker 1: go to lunch, man. Meet me here. I'm over by
- 0:19Speaker 1: your house. I never looked at the text message. I was,
- 0:23Speaker 1: you know, just hanging out at the house, not doing anything.
- 0:26Speaker 1: But I never, I don't look at my phone.
- 0:29Speaker 2: So.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I get back to him. I probably saw the text
- 0:32Speaker 1: about four, maybe. And I text him back. Oh, sorry, man.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Didn't check the text. So then he calls me and
- 0:40Speaker 1: he's mad at me. Like, you know, you know, people
- 0:44Speaker 1: get mad at you. Not mad, mad, but he's like, dude,
- 0:46Speaker 1: what's wrong with you, man? I wanted to have lunch
- 0:47Speaker 1: with you. I text you. You don't get back to
- 0:50Speaker 1: me to four. What the hell? And he says, so
- 0:53Speaker 1: I didn't even go to lunch. I'm like, well, it's
- 0:55Speaker 1: not my fault. And the reason I say that is
- 0:59Speaker 1: because I have a rule with one of my buddies, okay?
- 1:03Speaker 1: He knows that, and actually all my friends know this,
- 1:07Speaker 1: for the most part, they should. If you text me something,
- 1:11Speaker 1: I'll get back to you within 24 hours, okay? Now,
- 1:17Speaker 1: I know that that leaves me open to miss a
- 1:20Speaker 1: lot of stuff, like I missed lunch with a friend
- 1:22Speaker 1: of mine yesterday because I'll get back to you in
- 1:25Speaker 1: 24 hours, okay? It might be sooner, but no later
- 1:29Speaker 1: than 24 hours, okay? But that's just the way it goes.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I miss a lot of things. I miss lunches. I
- 1:35Speaker 1: miss golf games. I miss stuff because people will call
- 1:39Speaker 1: me within an hour or two, you know, last minute,
- 1:42Speaker 1: so to speak, and ask me stuff. And I'll be like, well,
- 1:45Speaker 1: you know, my rule is 24 hours. So he was
- 1:50Speaker 1: upset about it. And my question to you is this, though.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Is there like a standard rule? A societal standard of
- 1:59Speaker 1: an acceptable time, a time frame to respond to someone's text.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Is there a rule that says, if you text me,
- 2:08Speaker 1: I'm supposed to get back to you within what? Because
- 2:13Speaker 1: as far as a text messaging goes, as far as
- 2:16Speaker 1: the text goes for me, it's not that important. If
- 2:20Speaker 1: it's important, you'll call me. And if I don't answer
- 2:23Speaker 1: the first time, you'll call me right back. That's the
- 2:26Speaker 1: other thing my friends know. If they really want to
- 2:29Speaker 1: talk to me because I don't answer my phone, I'm
- 2:31Speaker 1: not connected to my phone like you are. I go home,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I set my phone down, I go about my day.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So my friends know if they call me and I
- 2:41Speaker 1: don't answer and they call me again within a couple
- 2:46Speaker 1: of seconds or a couple of minutes of the first
- 2:49Speaker 1: phone call, I know it's important and I'll answer. Text messaging?
- 2:54Speaker 1: You text me, man. It ain't that important. far as
- 2:56Speaker 1: I'm concerned. So it's a 24 hour notice. But is
- 3:01Speaker 1: there a rule? Is there a societal rule that says
- 3:04Speaker 1: this is the acceptable timeframe that you're, you need to
- 3:07Speaker 1: get back to somebody when you text them? All right.
- 3:11Speaker 1: So check this out. Um, okay. So a guy calls
- 3:14Speaker 1: me yesterday, a friend of mine, he's a friend of mine.
- 3:15Speaker 1: He called me for lunch right around 11 AM, meet
- 3:18Speaker 1: him for lunch at noon or whatever. I never got
- 3:19Speaker 1: back to him. He texted me and then got mad
- 3:22Speaker 1: at me. Cause I hit him back about four when
- 3:25Speaker 1: I got to my phone and I told him and
- 3:27Speaker 1: he calls me and he's mad at me, man, bro.
- 3:29Speaker 1: We missed lunch. What's wrong? Would you answer your ticket?
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'm like, nah, man, it's not how we roll. At
- 3:34Speaker 1: least that's not how I do it. My friends usually
- 3:36Speaker 1: know that. And I don't know why he doesn't know this.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I've told him before. I, you got 24 hours. I
- 3:42Speaker 1: got 24 hours to get back to you. Okay. And
- 3:46Speaker 1: that's all I'm saying. But is there, is there some
- 3:49Speaker 1: unwritten rule or rule or rule that I don't know about?
- 3:52Speaker 1: When somebody texts you, this is the amount of time
- 3:56Speaker 1: that's acceptable for you to get back to them? You
- 4:00Speaker 1: got to get back to them within what? R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7-8-Romeo, check
- 4:05Speaker 1: this out. So my wife is a stay-at-home mom, good woman,
- 4:11Speaker 1: stay-at-home wife. I love her to death, but I work
- 4:14Speaker 1: 10 hours. And when she texts me, if I don't
- 4:17Speaker 1: get back to her within a few minutes, she calls me.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I guess she got a lot of free time. I
- 4:25Speaker 1: keep telling her that I'm working. I can't always get
- 4:28Speaker 1: back to her right away. She doesn't care. Well, there
- 4:31Speaker 1: you go. I think if there's not a rule, we
- 4:35Speaker 1: should set one. Actually, there doesn't need to be a rule.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Come on in the house. What's going on? Yo, yo.
- 4:41Speaker 1: What up, man? Hey. Speak with you, bro.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I know nobody deserves that type of access where just
- 4:47Speaker 2: because you text me or call me that.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I have to answer or get right back to you.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Hey, I tell all my people, Romeo, this is an emergency.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Call your mama. Don't call me. Because you might not
- 4:59Speaker 2: reach me, Romeo. Hey, you good with the 24 hours.
- 5:05Speaker 2: If I miss your call or your text, you just
- 5:07Speaker 2: might not hear from me. Hey, people think they feel
- 5:13Speaker 2: privileged in your time or have access to you like that,
- 5:16Speaker 2: but nah, bruh.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's crazy about how people think that you're on their
- 5:21Speaker 1: schedule and because these phones give you so much accessibility
- 5:25Speaker 1: that you're the one that's wrong. Right. Nah, it don't
- 5:29Speaker 1: work like that, Romeo.
- 5:30Speaker 2: All right, hey, don't call me.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Call your mama. So what is an acceptable time frame
- 5:36Speaker 1: to respond to a text message? I'm just curious because
- 5:39Speaker 1: a buddy of mine got a little bent out of
- 5:41Speaker 1: shape yesterday because, hey, my rule is 24 hours, right?
- 5:46Speaker 1: But he wanted to go to lunch, and I didn't
- 5:47Speaker 1: get back to him in time, so we missed lunch,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and he was mad about it. But, hey, I'll give
- 5:52Speaker 1: you 24 hours. All right, 8-4-2-5-4-7-7-8, Romeo. What about your
- 5:58Speaker 1: mom and dad when they text you? How fast do
- 6:02Speaker 1: you get back to them? 24 hours. It's a standard
- 6:07Speaker 1: rule for everybody. See, the thing is, I am not
- 6:10Speaker 1: like you. I am not going to be tied to
- 6:15Speaker 1: my phone so much that it prevents me from doing
- 6:18Speaker 1: anything else. It's just I'm not going to do it.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. It doesn't matter. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: don't care what's going on. It's a horrible way to live. RD-4254-727. Hey, Romeo,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I think there should be a universal understanding that we
- 6:33Speaker 1: will get back to them at least the next business day.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And if they have something urgent, then like you said,
- 6:42Speaker 1: call twice. But people have lives, people have jobs, people
- 6:46Speaker 1: have kids, and not all of us are glued to
- 6:49Speaker 1: our phone. And I know when I say send a
- 6:52Speaker 1: message out, there's times that I have to think like
- 6:55Speaker 1: other people, their lives too. They'll get back to me
- 6:58Speaker 1: when they can. And there's friends that sometimes I forget
- 7:02Speaker 1: to get back to. But, you know, there's no hurt feelings.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We get back to them when we can. We understand
- 7:09Speaker 1: that we all have lives. But that's what I'm saying.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I like the next business day. But that's what I'm saying.
- 7:17Speaker 1: A lot of people, like my man just said, a
- 7:19Speaker 1: lot of you get so upset. Like I just ran
- 7:23Speaker 1: over your dog because I don't respond immediately to your
- 7:27Speaker 1: text message. Get over it. I'll give you 24 hours.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That's what you get out of me. I'll get back
- 7:37Speaker 1: to you. But why do you guys get so upset?
- 7:40Speaker 1: It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Like I said,
- 7:47Speaker 1: call twice. If I get three phone calls in a
- 7:50Speaker 1: row within a minute of each other, I know something's up,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and I might have to call you back, all right?
- 7:56Speaker 1: But I am not going to sit around with my
- 8:00Speaker 1: phone sitting right next to me so I can cater
- 8:03Speaker 1: to you when you want me. All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Hey, Rome.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You were just talking about having jobs and lives. You
- 8:13Speaker 1: get off at 10 a.m. Your whole life is waiting
- 8:16Speaker 1: for people to call or text you. Yeah, it's not.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Just because my busy is different than your busy doesn't
- 8:25Speaker 1: mean my busy doesn't matter. I've had this conversation before.
- 8:29Speaker 1: My friends will tell me, bro, you're just sitting at
- 8:31Speaker 1: home watching TV. Okay. And you're at work doing a job.
- 8:36Speaker 1: What's the difference? My busy and your busy doesn't are
- 8:39Speaker 1: not more important than each other, okay? Or your busy
- 8:43Speaker 1: is not more important than my busy. We just have
- 8:45Speaker 1: different types of busy. So that's why I didn't answer
- 8:48Speaker 1: your phone call. All right, when it comes to texting, right?
- 8:50Speaker 1: So yesterday, a buddy of mine, he texted me. Hey,
- 8:54Speaker 1: let's go to lunch, Rome. About 11 o'clock, 11 a.m.
- 8:57Speaker 1: And I was like, never got back to him. Got
- 8:59Speaker 1: back to him about four. Got a little pissy with me, right?
- 9:02Speaker 1: He was, you know, called me up. What the hell?
- 9:04Speaker 1: We were going to go to lunch. I wanted to
- 9:06Speaker 1: go to lunch. Would you see what's up? And I
- 9:07Speaker 1: was like, well, okay. I am... My phone... And this
- 9:12Speaker 1: is why I say this. Is there, like, some rule
- 9:16Speaker 1: that is an acceptable time or a time frame that
- 9:18Speaker 1: you're supposed to get... I mean, like, are you like
- 9:20Speaker 1: the cable guy? If I'm going to be between 3
- 9:23Speaker 1: and 5, a 3-hour window? I mean, I don't know
- 9:26Speaker 1: what the rule is. And nor do I care. Because
- 9:29Speaker 1: my rule is very simple. I'll get back to you
- 9:32Speaker 1: within 24 hours. Okay? That's just it. Because... When I
- 9:39Speaker 1: text you, this is what's funny about that. I get
- 9:42Speaker 1: up at 3 a.m. every morning. If I text you
- 9:46Speaker 1: at 3 a.m. and you get pissed off because I
- 9:49Speaker 1: texted you at 3, that's the same as me getting
- 9:51Speaker 1: pissed off because you text me at 11 a.m. when
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm doing other stuff after work. Everybody works on different
- 9:57Speaker 1: time frames, different schedules. Everybody has a different depth of busy.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So I get 24 hours. But why am I the
- 10:05Speaker 1: bad guy? Because I didn't get back to you. Like
- 10:08Speaker 1: I said, my phone is not a convenience for you.
- 10:12Speaker 1: It's a convenience for me. Not for you to get
- 10:16Speaker 1: a hold of me and text me and call me
- 10:19Speaker 1: and whenever you want and then get upset because I'm
- 10:23Speaker 1: not on your schedule. Take 24 hours. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Yo, Rome,
- 10:29Speaker 1: whoever texted you that, Rome, is a dumbass. They are
- 10:34Speaker 1: the type of person who texts everyone multiple times and
- 10:37Speaker 1: never gets a response. Salty-ass people, okay? That's funny. Um,
- 10:44Speaker 1: yo Rome, I was, uh, I was in bed with
- 10:48Speaker 1: my side chick. I jumped out of bed when the
- 10:50Speaker 1: wife texts, she's the only person I get back to
- 10:53Speaker 1: right away. Well, I mean, another guy said the same
- 10:57Speaker 1: thing that when he's at work, he got a stay
- 10:59Speaker 1: at home wife and mother. Uh, and when she texts
- 11:03Speaker 1: at work and when she texts him at work, he
- 11:05Speaker 1: said he works 10 hour days. If he don't get
- 11:08Speaker 1: back right away, she calls. I mean, even that's ridiculous.
- 11:12Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? It's stupid. It's just you
- 11:15Speaker 1: know what? 24 hours, I think, is reasonable. If you
- 11:20Speaker 1: text me, I think 24 hour time frame is reasonable
- 11:25Speaker 1: for everybody. But don't act like you're the you're the
- 11:31Speaker 1: victim because you text me and I don't text you
- 11:34Speaker 1: back when you want me to. Right on. What's going on?
- 11:38Speaker 2: It depends on the text message and what they're saying
- 11:42Speaker 2: and who is texting on there. If you're expecting.
- 11:45Speaker 1: And it's an emergency, you need to get back quick
- 11:48Speaker 1: because it might be something like timing of the essence,
- 11:51Speaker 1: you know? Or maybe you know some bad news like, hey,
- 11:54Speaker 1: so-and-so's in the hospital. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
- 12:02Speaker 1: First of all, you're assuming that I have my phone
- 12:05Speaker 1: next to me every minute of the day to see
- 12:07Speaker 1: what's on the text message in the first place. I
- 12:11Speaker 1: don't keep my phone with me. When I'm at home,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I set my phone on a tray and I go
- 12:16Speaker 1: about my day. And then if I walk by my
- 12:18Speaker 1: phone and something's there, I'll check it. If I don't,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I don't. Wow.
- 12:23Speaker 2: See, Romeo, it's over. You know, I was thinking about
- 12:25Speaker 2: considering you, but not anymore because the relationship won't work.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I ain't getting back to you.
- 12:32Speaker 2: No, but yeah, I get you, though. I do agree
- 12:34Speaker 2: with you. I'm just messing with you, though. I agree
- 12:36Speaker 2: with you.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Like, you be busy. Like, I work 12 hours a day.
- 12:39Speaker 2: There ain't no damn way I'm going to be replying
- 12:41Speaker 2: to you right away. Like, you want me to get home?
- 12:43Speaker 1: You want me to not make no money?
- 12:45Speaker 2: Okay, I'll stay home.
- 12:46Speaker 1: You go pay everything.
- 12:47Speaker 2: But I can't be, I got cold.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Blues popping off.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I got rapids. We got, you know, it's not going
- 12:52Speaker 2: to work.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Oh, that's funny. He says, you want me to get
- 12:55Speaker 1: back to you right away? You better pay my mortgage.
- 12:58Speaker 2: But if I'm working and you know most jobs, you
- 13:02Speaker 2: can't be on your phone like that if it's a
- 13:04Speaker 2: reputable job.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Yeah, I was going to say, because I
- 13:06Speaker 1: see a lot of people sitting on their phone at work.
- 13:08Speaker 1: The mailman don't stop talking when he delivers my mail
- 13:11Speaker 1: every day.
- 13:12Speaker 2: When he's outside, he don't do something that's attractive to him,
- 13:15Speaker 2: but if you're in a hospital and you're giving a
- 13:17Speaker 2: service to somebody and they see you on their phone
- 13:19Speaker 2: and they're waiting and there's like a line, I'm telling
- 13:21Speaker 2: on you because.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You're on the phone and I'm waiting. That's hilarious.
- 13:24Speaker 2: All right.
- 13:25Speaker 1: All right. Well, thanks for calling. I'll talk to you later.
- 13:29Speaker 1: All right. 842-547-7Rome. Hey, 24 hours is good. I tell
- 13:33Speaker 1: everybody not to have a whole conversation. Just call me
- 13:36Speaker 1: if you want to go back and forth. Yes, I
- 13:38Speaker 1: even tell you that too. If I got to write
- 13:40Speaker 1: more than two lines on a text message, we need
- 13:43Speaker 1: to have a conversation. You need to call me because
- 13:45Speaker 1: I am not doing that either. He's going to.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Be hurt this morning. He's going to be hurt.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Hey, when you lose by that much, is that count
- 14:04Speaker 1: as too long?
- 14:04Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's embarrassing.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I was happy that my quarterback drank the Geritol, man. Well,
- 14:24Speaker 2: they won.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Well, that's good. They won. And then I came to
- 14:28Speaker 1: score on the Raiders, and I said, what the hell?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Is that quite two games?
- 14:36Speaker 2: You're coming out of play a bigger game.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Oh, that's hilarious. Yeah, the Raiders are 3-0. 3-0 Raiders.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 1: They're back, baby. The Raiders are back. 3-0 Raiders, boy.
- 14:55Speaker 1: They did it, huh? All right. What an embarrassment. All right, 8-4, 2-5, 4, 7-7. Yo, Rome,
- 15:04Speaker 1: the Eagles suck. Commanders suck. Giants really suck. Well, so
- 15:10Speaker 1: do the Cowboys. So do the Raiders. I mean, there's
- 15:13Speaker 1: a lot of trash out there on the field yesterday.
- 15:16Speaker 1: All right. It's Romeo. Outside of the embarrassment that is
- 15:23Speaker 1: the Las Vegas Raiders, there was actually a couple of
- 15:25Speaker 1: good football games yesterday. The Philly-Jacksonville game early in the
- 15:30Speaker 1: morning was a good football game, even though it just
- 15:32Speaker 1: had a terrible coaching. But it was a good football game.
- 15:36Speaker 1: The Niner-Seahawks game. Was a pretty good football game. I
- 15:42Speaker 1: saw that game. That was a pretty good football game.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I'm trying to think what else. There was a couple
- 15:46Speaker 1: of games that kind of came down to it. Denver
- 15:49Speaker 1: and the Chargers actually was a decent game. Bad coaching
- 15:54Speaker 1: in that aspect, too. The Giants and Washington ended in
- 15:57Speaker 1: a tie. That was just bad coaching there, too. It's crazy. Well,
- 16:04Speaker 1: maybe not bad coaching in that game. Maybe it was
- 16:08Speaker 1: the player, just inexperienced player. who made a mistake. But, yeah,
- 16:14Speaker 1: there was some interesting games over the weekend. But there
- 16:19Speaker 1: was a couple of good ones. I mean, yeah, there
- 16:21Speaker 1: was a couple of good games. And then tonight we
- 16:23Speaker 1: got Monday Night Football. You know, we got who we
- 16:26Speaker 1: got tonight. We got the Rams and the Bills playing tonight.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Are they playing at SoFi? I think they're playing at SoFi.
- 16:32Speaker 1: So a lot of you Rams fans might be going
- 16:34Speaker 1: to that game. But, yeah, football wasn't bad. It wasn't bad,
- 16:39Speaker 1: except for the fact that the Raiders suck. And they
- 16:42Speaker 1: did exactly what the Raiders do. They played three bad
- 16:45Speaker 1: teams in one, played two good teams, and got their
- 16:47Speaker 1: asses handed to them. What did you text me here? Hey, Rome,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I was watching the Fader game. It was so bad,
- 16:55Speaker 1: I had to change the channel. What an embarrassment. And
- 17:01Speaker 1: the Eagles choked again. Yeah, that... I don't know. The
- 17:07Speaker 1: Eagles was just... a bad coaching decision, I believe, or
- 17:11Speaker 1: whoever made the decision not to kick the ball out
- 17:13Speaker 1: of the end zone. That was just a bad, whoever
- 17:15Speaker 1: decided that was a bad decision. So, yeah, I get
- 17:18Speaker 1: what you're saying, but I think that's kind of what
- 17:20Speaker 1: they mean by any given Sunday, you know, is people
- 17:23Speaker 1: making bad decisions or a fluke this or a fluke that.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I mean, look at what happened with a fumble here
- 17:32Speaker 1: or an interception there can change a game. So, an accident, whatever. So,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I don't know. I think a lot of you want
- 17:39Speaker 1: to say, well, all the teams, you know, any given Sunday,
- 17:41Speaker 1: a bad team can beat a good team. Well, yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 1: if a couple things go right for them, you know,
- 17:46Speaker 1: like what happened with the Eagles. Had the Eagles kicked
- 17:48Speaker 1: it in the end zone, probably would have been over
- 17:50Speaker 1: with as opposed to, you know, kicking it inbounds for
- 17:53Speaker 1: the guy to run it back 30 yards or however
- 17:55Speaker 1: many yards he ran it back. So bad decision. Bad decision.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I mean, so, yeah, you look at that. But the Eagles, though, yeah, yeah. Yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 1: I get it. I don't know if the Eagles choked,
- 18:09Speaker 1: but yeah. I mean, Jacksonville's not bad. But the Raiders
- 18:14Speaker 1: were embarrassing. Very embarrassing. But they're 3-0. 3-0 Raiders, baby!
- 18:19Speaker 1: Go to Super Bowl! 3-0! Hey, Rome. Falcon Joe here.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Our game was good. Lost to the Ravens in overtime. Yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 1: that was just embarrassing. That was embarrassing, too. The Falcons
- 18:34Speaker 1: should have won that game. From what I saw, from
- 18:38Speaker 1: what I watched, the Falcons should have won that game.
- 18:41Speaker 1: The Ravens had nobody. A backup quarterback? I mean, come
- 18:45Speaker 1: on now. All right. I'm trying to remember if I
- 18:48Speaker 1: remember that. I'm trying to remember that game. Where is it?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Hold on. Let me see. Yesterday was the 11th. Okay.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I wanted to see if I can look at the
- 19:00Speaker 1: game and see what the box score was because it
- 19:03Speaker 1: was– I want to say that the Falcons, maybe I'm
- 19:10Speaker 1: wrong about that one. Maybe I don't remember the game
- 19:12Speaker 1: as well. I thought the Falcons had a chance, though,
- 19:15Speaker 1: to put it away, and they didn't. What was it? 7-3, 14-9, 17-15.
- 19:21Speaker 1: And then they went, oh, they scored, yeah. Maybe I'm
- 19:26Speaker 1: wrong about that. Oh, they scored that touchdown to tie
- 19:28Speaker 1: it up, yeah. Okay, maybe I was wrong about that one.
- 19:31Speaker 1: All right, already 4-2, 5-4, 7-7. There were a couple
- 19:37Speaker 1: of good football games last night, though, or yesterday. A
- 19:40Speaker 1: couple of good ones. The Raiders wasn't one of them.
- 19:41Speaker 1: But they're 3-0. They're going to the Super Bowl. All righty, 4-2, 4-7, 7.
- 19:45Speaker 1: What up, Rome? It's Raider James. I love Raider James.
- 19:48Speaker 1: He's such a great guy. Yeah, and I told people
- 19:51Speaker 1: after those first three games, we have a hard stretch. Chiefs, Patriots, Bills, Seahawks, Rams. Oh, Niners, Rams.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Can't evaluate how good we are until after the eighth
- 20:03Speaker 1: or ninth game. And the worst thing about that loss was,
- 20:07Speaker 1: All of the New England starting secondary was hurt and
- 20:11Speaker 1: chewed up. Their corners and safeties were all second string, man.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Still Raider Nation, Robe. I love my team regardless. Have
- 20:22Speaker 1: a blessed one. Got to keep it real, though. Yeah,
- 20:24Speaker 1: Raider James is an old-school Raider fan. He does. He
- 20:31Speaker 1: honestly evaluates the Raiders every year and tells us the truth,
- 20:35Speaker 1: which is the Raiders suck. I didn't know that, though.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I didn't know that the Raiders lost to the New
- 20:42Speaker 1: England second-string defense. I didn't realize that's what happened. Same
- 20:51Speaker 1: old Raiders. They're back, baby. They're back. Hey, Rome, it's Silos.
- 20:56Speaker 1: How about them Eagles? They lost the same way the
- 20:59Speaker 1: Cowboys did when they played the Ravens. Yeah, that was... Yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 1: that was bad coaching, a bad decision. I don't know
- 21:08Speaker 1: if the kicker made a mistake or if the coach
- 21:10Speaker 1: didn't kick it, told him not to kick it out
- 21:13Speaker 1: of the end zone. But, yeah, that was just a
- 21:16Speaker 1: bonehead play right there, a bonehead move. And I think
- 21:21Speaker 1: the guy had actually ran, almost ran one back earlier
- 21:23Speaker 1: in the game. So they kicked it to the right guy,
- 21:25Speaker 1: the wrong guy also. Yo, Rome, the Niner game was
- 21:29Speaker 1: the best game yesterday, bro. 5-0, baby. The Niner game
- 21:34Speaker 1: was a good football game yesterday. It's taken you bandwagoners
- 21:38Speaker 1: a long time to jump in, though. You know, the
- 21:41Speaker 1: Niners were undefeated, and it's taken you Niner fans a
- 21:47Speaker 1: while to get back in the game. Hey, you Evan
- 21:50Speaker 1: Cheese fan, I noticed something about you, Rome. You like
- 21:55Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith of the radio station talking all that
- 21:58Speaker 1: mess about the Raiders. Just checking to see if there's
- 22:01Speaker 1: any Charger fans out there. Yeah. Um, the Raiders suck. Um, gosh,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I can't watch, you know, every time I turn on
- 22:14Speaker 1: the charger game and I watched a little bit of yesterday,
- 22:17Speaker 1: that damn offensive coordinator boy, he looked like he should
- 22:20Speaker 1: be in selling cocaine and nightclubs. I don't know if
- 22:23Speaker 1: he's good. I guess he's good. He was good somewhere.
- 22:26Speaker 1: And then he got the job in Miami and now
- 22:28Speaker 1: Jim Harbaugh hired him to, uh, Jim or John, whichever
- 22:32Speaker 1: one's in, uh, in, um, On the Chargers team. I
- 22:40Speaker 1: don't know which one it is. But, yeah, he hired. Dude,
- 22:43Speaker 1: that dude, he has got some hair on it. He
- 22:47Speaker 1: wears those big glasses. Seriously, he looks like he should
- 22:51Speaker 1: be selling cocaine in a Miami nightclub.
- 22:54Speaker 2: We're still waiting. What do Peter Ruffino know? We're just,
- 23:01Speaker 2: you and Billy are just part-time fans. Vader, come out
- 23:07Speaker 2: and fight.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Raider Dave's a dumbass fake fan, too. Don't
- 23:11Speaker 1: worry about it.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Buddy, I call all the time.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Yeah. He'll call about a half hour and talk. I
- 23:20Speaker 1: did it. I'm committed. I just had to wait an
- 23:22Speaker 1: hour and a half to call. So, yeah, that's about right.
- 23:24Speaker 2: His boyfriend is telling him right now, don't you got
- 23:26Speaker 2: to call the radio station? No.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Just take me some more cereal. Nasty Nate. All right.
- 23:32Speaker 1: All right. Get out of here. What did Big Boy say?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Come on, 500 season. Yeah, come on, 500 season. Old
- 23:42Speaker 1: Mendoza might be playing sooner than you think. How is
- 23:46Speaker 1: it going? Did Big Boy get to work today? It's
- 23:48Speaker 1: going to be a rough day in Bakersfield. It's going
- 23:51Speaker 1: to be a bad day in Bakersfield. Ain't nobody's lawn
- 23:53Speaker 1: getting cut. Ain't nobody doing work release today. Ain't nobody. Yeah. Yeah.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Ain't a lot happening, Dave. Dodgers lost. Raiders lost. I mean,
- 24:11Speaker 1: all them dumbass Raider fans can't even put on their
- 24:14Speaker 1: Dodgers jerseys this morning because the Dodgers lost. And all
- 24:18Speaker 1: them Dodgers fans can't put on their Raiders jerseys this
- 24:21Speaker 1: morning because the Raiders lost. I don't know what the
- 24:23Speaker 1: hell they're going to do. How's anything going to get done? Hey,
- 24:26Speaker 1: you have a cheese fan. Don't forget all these potholes
- 24:29Speaker 1: haven't been fixed. Where's Steeler Tyrone at? Uh, Steeler Tyrone
- 24:35Speaker 1: got him a new job. He does something else now.
- 24:38Speaker 1: So it's, uh, yeah, he don't, he don't fix potholes
- 24:41Speaker 1: no more. Steeler Tyrone, I think actually got to work now.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Hey Rome, big Rome. It's big Joe. Oh my, wow.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Out of town, but love your show. We spoke, uh,
- 24:52Speaker 1: finally last week. My dolphins suck. My Braves are out.
- 24:56Speaker 1: So I bought a Brewer's hat and a Chief's hat.
- 25:00Speaker 1: All my kids are Dodger fans and dislike my homes.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I tell them he's the one to match Brady's rings.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Let's go Kansas City. By the way, my boys are
- 25:12Speaker 1: Niner fans. That's hilarious. Yeah, that's funny. That's funny, Big Joe.
- 25:19Speaker 1: But unfortunately, nobody will catch Brady. I don't think anybody
- 25:24Speaker 1: will ever win as much as Brady did. Hey, good morning, Rome.
- 25:26Speaker 1: It's Gil Ron. I was in San Leandro yesterday visiting
- 25:30Speaker 1: my old bar and friends that frequent there for the
- 25:34Speaker 1: 49er game. And man, there were a few Seahawks fans
- 25:37Speaker 1: and a few Raider fans. It seemed like the Raider
- 25:39Speaker 1: fans wanted us to lose more than the Seahawks fans.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Freaking haters. I bet Seahawks Lou is still passed out
- 25:48Speaker 1: in his garage right now with burnt carne asada on
- 25:51Speaker 1: the ground. See how glue probably is still passed out.
- 25:58Speaker 1: It's not a garage. It's basically a carport that he
- 26:02Speaker 1: walled off, you know, with metal sheeting. Now he calls
- 26:04Speaker 1: it a garage. He probably is passed out right now
- 26:12Speaker 1: on that lawn chair with that grill still burning meat. Rome,
- 26:22Speaker 1: can you give your honest opinion on the 49ers? Yeah,
- 26:26Speaker 1: the fans are all bandwagoners. And after yesterday's win, pretty
- 26:31Speaker 1: solid because they beat a pretty solid win, to be
- 26:34Speaker 1: honest with you. Yeah, I think the Niners are– I
- 26:37Speaker 1: think the Niners might do something, you know. The Seahawks
- 26:41Speaker 1: are no joke. I mean, look at the Niners' schedule.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I mean, look at who the Niners beat. Didn't they
- 26:47Speaker 1: beat the Rams and the– hold on, let me see.
- 26:50Speaker 1: We all know that Nation 1 is so– God, I
- 26:52Speaker 1: hated when those commercials pop up. when you're at a
- 26:58Speaker 1: website and the commercials pop up and I just can't,
- 27:01Speaker 1: it makes me, I will never buy, if a commercial
- 27:03Speaker 1: pops up, I will never buy the product that pops
- 27:06Speaker 1: up and ruins it while I'm trying to look at something. See,
- 27:11Speaker 1: the Niners beat the Rams. The Dolphins suck. The Cardinals suck.
- 27:15Speaker 1: The Broncos. The Broncos aren't bad. They're not great, but
- 27:18Speaker 1: they don't suck. So yeah, the Niners got three good wins,
- 27:21Speaker 1: legitimate wins. The Rams, the Broncos, and the Seahawks. I mean,
- 27:26Speaker 1: Those are legitimate. So they might be legitimate, team. You
- 27:29Speaker 1: might want to give them some love. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. What up, Joe? Hey,
- 27:32Speaker 1: what's happening, man? What happened, though?
- 27:35Speaker 2: What's his face?
- 27:41Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Hey, what did I say, man?
- 27:46Speaker 1: I had enough trauma. I don't fall for it. I
- 27:51Speaker 1: don't know.
- 27:51Speaker 2: I'm not falling for it. You got to do more
- 27:54Speaker 2: than just win three games.
- 27:56Speaker 1: You know?
- 27:58Speaker 2: But, yeah, man, I was like, dude, these people. That
- 28:02Speaker 2: team was a Super Bowl. They played in the Super
- 28:04Speaker 2: Bowl last year. So you want to measure yourself how
- 28:06Speaker 2: good you are. Well, you know how good we are.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Measure it now. They beat us down.
- 28:14Speaker 2: So, you know, quit saying we're going to the Super Bowl.
- 28:17Speaker 2: We're doing all this. We're not good, guys. We're rebuilding.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I think Mendoza will be in.
- 28:23Speaker 2: My damn Dodgers lost last night.
- 28:26Speaker 1: That was a rough game. I actually watched that game.
- 28:29Speaker 1: That was a tight game.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Bruins got good pitching, man.
- 28:33Speaker 1: They're the ones that's going to be, if we lose,
- 28:36Speaker 1: we're going to lose to them. Yeah. We'll see what happens.
- 28:39Speaker 1: They play again today.
- 28:41Speaker 2: All right, bro.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Have a good one. All right, Joe. Later. Already 425477. Yeah,
- 28:46Speaker 1: it's funny. You run your mouth and then don't have
- 28:50Speaker 1: no accountability. That's what's great about being a listener to
- 28:52Speaker 1: the show is you can say whatever you want without
- 28:54Speaker 1: accountability because you can just never call again. All right. Hey, Rome.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Raider fans. Raider fan here. I'm kind of glad we
- 29:03Speaker 1: got embarrassed yesterday. Some of these Raider fans are delusional
- 29:06Speaker 1: and talk out of there. You know what? Because we're 3-1. No, 3-0.
- 29:09Speaker 1: You're going to the Super Bowl. That just makes us
- 29:12Speaker 1: all look bad. Just be humble and glad. We are
- 29:16Speaker 1: hopefully trending up and getting better as a team. It's
- 29:20Speaker 1: not going to happen in one season. Double whammy for me, though.
- 29:23Speaker 1: My Dodgers lost also. Oh, well. Oh, well. On to
- 29:29Speaker 1: the next. Shout out to Feta Fries Ruben.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Like I said, it's a bad day in Bakersfield. Dodgers lost.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Raiders lost. I don't know what they're going to do today.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I guess just go hide in their houses until next week.
- 29:45Speaker 1: What's up, bro? All right. This is Boo Boo, man.
- 29:49Speaker 1: What's up, man?
- 29:50Speaker 2: When they went 3-0, people got happy like they was
- 29:53Speaker 2: going to the playoffs.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Who's that? Oh, the Raiders? Yeah, Boo Boo Raiders, man. 3-0,
- 29:58Speaker 1: going to the Super Bowl.
- 30:00Speaker 2: And I'm a Broncos fan, though, so I'm playing with
- 30:02Speaker 2: white chocolate boat Nick, man. Well, they won. He's doing stuff, man.
- 30:09Speaker 1: They got a better chance of going to the Super
- 30:11Speaker 1: Bowl than the Raiders do.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I'm going to pick the Raiders spot this year because
- 30:17Speaker 2: they boo-boo.
- 30:18Speaker 1: All right, man. Well, thanks for calling. I appreciate it.
- 30:21Speaker 1: All right, bro. I mean, 3-0 Raiders going to the
- 30:24Speaker 1: Super Bowl. All right, here. What do you got here?
- 30:27Speaker 1: I got to tell you something funny that happened on Saturday,
- 30:29Speaker 1: by the way. between a Raiders fan and a Cowboys fan. Hey,
- 30:33Speaker 1: Seahawk Lou refuses to accept last night's Seahawks game because
- 30:37Speaker 1: he's convinced the NFL's rigged worse than a Bakersfield car
- 30:41Speaker 1: wash during a dust storm after watching the replay 47
- 30:45Speaker 1: times at the Chevron on Panama Lane. He blamed the refs,
- 30:49Speaker 1: the wind, PG & E, and somehow the potholes on
- 30:52Speaker 1: Highway 99. Word is he drove past the outlets at
- 30:57Speaker 1: the home screaming, we got robbed. While a guy at
- 31:01Speaker 1: Luigi's Pizza told him to calm down, Nalu's parked outside
- 31:05Speaker 1: Buck Owens Crystal Palace wearing a Seahawk jersey demanding an
- 31:09Speaker 1: investigation from the Kern County Sheriff's. Claiming the final score
- 31:15Speaker 1: was changed by the same people who made everyone's power
- 31:19Speaker 1: bill skyrocket. Oh, Lou doesn't want an explanation. He wants
- 31:29Speaker 1: a recount, a congressional hearing, and free carne asada for
- 31:33Speaker 1: the emotional damage.
- 31:40Speaker 2: What's up, Roman Seahawk Lou?
- 31:43Speaker 1: Seahawk Lou, it's 7.30 over in the morning, and you
- 31:47Speaker 1: just now finally woke up to call.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta let you know that, uh, I hope
- 31:54Speaker 2: that investigation.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Got started already.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Because, geez, man, somebody paid those refs.
- 32:02Speaker 1: It's true, man.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Somebody paid those refs, man.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I don't know. That's a tough call. That's a tough call.
- 32:13Speaker 1: But you know what? I'll take that loss.
- 32:15Speaker 2: It was a good game, man.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I will tell you this, to be fair, because I
- 32:19Speaker 1: did watch that football game. If you want to be
- 32:22Speaker 1: mad at that first down, I can agree. I can
- 32:25Speaker 1: say be mad about it. But then you also have
- 32:27Speaker 1: to be mad about the fumble you got that wasn't
- 32:31Speaker 1: a fumble. So when it hit the ground, he had
- 32:36Speaker 1: control of that ball when he hit the ground, and
- 32:39Speaker 1: the ground caused the fumble and he got hurt.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Looked like he knocked out, huh?
- 32:43Speaker 1: Yeah, but that wasn't a fumble. So you got to
- 32:46Speaker 1: take the good with the good or the bad with
- 32:48Speaker 1: the bad or however you want to look at it. Yeah,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I know, man.
- 32:52Speaker 2: You know, this hangover is the one that's messing me
- 32:56Speaker 2: up right now with these B-Bots.
- 32:57Speaker 1: They got a lot of sugar in them. Jeez, man.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And then my Dodgers lost, man.
- 33:03Speaker 2: So I took another B-Bot.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Two L's. You know. Hey, a lot of people took
- 33:11Speaker 1: two L's yesterday. Yeah, but hey, we're here.
- 33:15Speaker 2: We're still standing. We're still strong, man.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I guess so. The Niners act like they won the
- 33:21Speaker 1: Super Bowl yesterday on their own field. Well, the Niners
- 33:25Speaker 1: are 5-0, and they beat both you and the Rams. So,
- 33:28Speaker 1: I mean, and the— did they beat the— They beat everybody
- 33:34Speaker 1: in your division once. They're 3-0 in the division.
- 33:40Speaker 2: It ain't nothing, man. They got lucky.
- 33:42Speaker 1: They got lucky.
- 33:43Speaker 2: We'll see them again in a couple of weeks.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Oh, God. Now you sound like a Raider fan. Well,
- 33:48Speaker 1: at least we didn't lose by 55 points. We only
- 33:49Speaker 1: lost by 30-something points. 20. We only lost by three points. Exactly.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Anybody's going to make that bill go back. Exactly. All right.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Get out of here, Lou. Well, at least Lou did call.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Raider Dave's such a chump. He can't even call when
- 34:10Speaker 1: his team gets embarrassed. But that's all right. We'll just
- 34:14Speaker 1: probably have to cut Raider Dave from the show now
- 34:16Speaker 1: after this showing of no accountability. But it's all right.
- 34:20Speaker 1: All right. 842-5477. I got to tell you a funny story, though. Saturday,
- 34:27Speaker 1: I was out golfing. with some buddies of mine, and
- 34:29Speaker 1: one of them's a Cowboy fan, other one's a Raider fan,
- 34:32Speaker 1: and they got into a disagreement about that Kirk Cousins
- 34:38Speaker 1: was a better quarterback than Dak Prescott. And it was
- 34:42Speaker 1: funny because they're the same damn quarterback. The biggest accomplishment
- 34:50Speaker 1: that Kirk Cousins and Dak Prescott have is just blatantly
- 34:55Speaker 1: ripping off NFL owners for cash. Dak Prescott's made over
- 34:59Speaker 1: $ 290- something million in his career. Kirk Cousins over $ 341 million
- 35:05Speaker 1: in his career. Both of them have accomplished absolutely nothing. Nothing.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Not close to a Super Bowl. Not an NFC Championship game. Nothing. Nothing.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I think they both have the same number of playoff wins, actually.
- 35:26Speaker 1: But these two are arguing over who's better. They both suck.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Raider Dave's done. I can't. All of a sudden, Raider
- 35:37Speaker 1: Dave wants to call an hour and what? Almost two
- 35:43Speaker 1: hours after the show starts to what? As much as
- 35:47Speaker 1: you talk about the Raiders and how you're right and
- 35:51Speaker 1: everybody's wrong, You should have called at 5 a.m. ready
- 35:55Speaker 1: to go. But no. So just get out of here.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Get out of here. You're going to have to try
- 36:01Speaker 1: again later, Rainer Dave. You're not. Nobody wants to hear
- 36:04Speaker 1: you right now. Good morning, how's it going on?
- 36:07Speaker 2: How am I supposed to call if you're here?
- 36:09Speaker 1: No, you're done. You're done. You should have called at
- 36:11Speaker 1: 6 a.m., 5 a.m. when the show started. You want
- 36:13Speaker 1: to run your mouth and talk about how you're the
- 36:15Speaker 1: baddest and the best and everybody else is a chump
- 36:18Speaker 1: and then look at you right now calling almost two
- 36:20Speaker 1: hours after the show started? Yeah, that makes you look
- 36:24Speaker 1: like a chump. I thought Raider Dave had a little
- 36:30Speaker 1: more accountability than that, but no. He's just like every
- 36:34Speaker 1: other Raider fan. When they win, he's like Debo. When
- 36:36Speaker 1: Debo's around, I shut up, but once he's gone, I
- 36:38Speaker 1: start talking again. Every Raider fan with three and all,
- 36:41Speaker 1: but now they got their ass handed to them. Don't
- 36:43Speaker 1: nobody want to call in. All the Raider fans disappeared.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Became Dodger fans. All the Raider fans took off their jerseys,
- 36:50Speaker 1: put on their Dodger jerseys for the 5 o'clock game.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Lost that, too. Let me see what this guy sent
- 36:55Speaker 1: me here. And what up, Rome? What about the Denver
- 36:58Speaker 1: Broncos win, huh? We looking sharp. Come on, you beat
- 37:01Speaker 1: the 0-5 Chargers. Or when you played them, the 0-4 Chargers.
- 37:06Speaker 1: But okay. Did you know the Broncos' losses are against
- 37:11Speaker 1: two undefeated teams, the Niners and the Chiefs, which makes
- 37:13Speaker 1: us Super Bowl contenders, too? I don't know how you
- 37:19Speaker 1: figure that, but okay. Yeah, you're Super Bowl contenders. Hey, Rome,
- 37:25Speaker 1: win or lose, go Raiders. Well, that's the loser's motto. Hey, Rome,
- 37:31Speaker 1: I used to listen to you all the time when
- 37:33Speaker 1: I was working in safety out in the Bakersfield, California.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Now I'm working as safety manager in a data center
- 37:39Speaker 1: project in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. And I still tune
- 37:43Speaker 1: in through the 94.1 app. Glad I can still listen
- 37:46Speaker 1: to you out here. Keep up the great work, brother.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Go Niners. Bang, bang, Niner gang. Niners are 5-0. There's
- 37:55Speaker 1: not a lot you can say about it, right? Better
- 37:58Speaker 1: quarterback than Patrick Mahomes. Check the stats. Well, it's like
- 38:04Speaker 1: I told you. Stats are for losers. Stats are the
- 38:08Speaker 1: consolation prize to make you feel better. That you can't
- 38:12Speaker 1: win a championship. Because I'm pretty sure Patrick Mahomes has
- 38:15Speaker 1: three of them. So, yeah, Dak's definitely the better quarterback.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Stats are the consolation prize for losers so that they
- 38:24Speaker 1: feel better about themselves for being, well, losers. Only thing
- 38:29Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins has on Dak is more contracts. Well, he's
- 38:33Speaker 1: got more money. Hey, Rom, tell Siak Lou. Seahawks should
- 38:39Speaker 1: have never won or been at the Super Bowl to
- 38:41Speaker 1: begin with last season. 49ers had an unhealthy team. Well,
- 38:45Speaker 1: come on now. Health is part of it. 49ers had
- 38:48Speaker 1: an unhealthy team last season. Yesterday showed that they would
- 38:52Speaker 1: have been a different scenario had the Niners had a
- 38:55Speaker 1: scenario with the 49ers if they were healthy last season.
- 38:58Speaker 1: And the 49ers still didn't have a full healthy team.
- 39:01Speaker 1: And an ejected player.
- 39:02Speaker 2: I know.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Did you see that guy headbutt that dude with no
- 39:04Speaker 1: helmet on? I don't know what that was like. Come on, man.
- 39:07Speaker 1: You can't make that sorry-ass excuse. I'm sorry. I am
- 39:10Speaker 1: not a fan of Seahawks lose team winning the Super Bowl, okay?
- 39:16Speaker 1: I'm not. Nobody wants to hear that dumbass talk. But
- 39:21Speaker 1: you can't make that stupid-ass argument. That's an argument for losers.
- 39:25Speaker 1: That's a justification for a sore loser to say, well, woulda, coulda, shoulda.
- 39:30Speaker 1: If we had this and we had that, we woulda won. Well, yeah. Okay.
- 39:36Speaker 1: I mean, it makes you sound childish and stupid, just
- 39:39Speaker 1: like Raider fans.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Oh, my God, that's an excuse, man. That's an excuse
- 39:44Speaker 2: right there. You know, injuries are part of the game.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 39:50Speaker 2: And then let's look at it logically. Last year when
- 39:54Speaker 2: they won the Super Bowl... Oh, wait a minute. They
- 39:56Speaker 2: didn't win the Super Bowl last year. That'd be Seattle.
- 40:00Speaker 2: And the year before that.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Oh, that was so dumb.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Oh, wait a minute. It was three years ago.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Oh, they lost to the Chiefs. And then.
- 40:10Speaker 2: A couple of years prior to that, they lost to,
- 40:13Speaker 2: what's that Patrick guy? Patrick Mahomes. And then, let's go
- 40:20Speaker 2: back a little further. You remember there was the big draw,
- 40:22Speaker 2: the Harbaugh brothers. Who won on that one?
- 40:26Speaker 1: The other Harbaugh brothers.
- 40:27Speaker 2: They always do this every year. They get some wins,
- 40:30Speaker 2: and then they fall for it at the end.
- 40:32Speaker 1: The problem is you can't listen to a bandwagon fan
- 40:36Speaker 1: try to explain football. That's the problem. Telltale sign that
- 40:40Speaker 1: guy's just a bandwagon fan.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Oh, I did it at a restaurant once. He didn't
- 40:44Speaker 2: know nothing, and all the other tables were listening. And
- 40:48Speaker 2: he couldn't answer. He stated how big of a fan
- 40:53Speaker 2: he was and this and that, and he didn't know nothing.
- 40:55Speaker 2: He didn't know who Merton Hanks was.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Oh, my God! He didn't know, you.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Know, and he was older than me.
- 41:03Speaker 1: What? You know?
- 41:05Speaker 2: But he ended up paying his bill and leaving, and
- 41:07Speaker 2: his food was still left there. And it was a
- 41:10Speaker 2: pretty good-looking chicken fried steak.
- 41:12Speaker 1: At least he paid his bill. Niner fans don't pay
- 41:14Speaker 1: their bill.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I didn't say he was a Raider fan. I said
- 41:17Speaker 2: he was a Niner fan.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Well, he was a bandwagoner, so. Yeah, that's true. That's true.
- 41:21Speaker 1: All right. All right. Later, brother. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. Good morning, Rome.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I'm just tuning in. We're listening for the Boogeyman for
- 41:29Speaker 1: Fright Fest tickets. No, I don't have Fright Fest tickets.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I have tickets for a con. I don't know how
- 41:34Speaker 1: to say the name. Fueza? Fueza? Regada? I need someone
- 41:39Speaker 1: to tell me how to say his name. I can't
- 41:42Speaker 1: pronounce it. Fueza? Fueza. Fueza Regada? I got tickets to
- 41:47Speaker 1: that show. Whatever that is. You guys are going to
- 41:48Speaker 1: have to call me and tell me what that's all about. Hey, Rome.
- 41:53Speaker 1: You shut Dirty Dave down to do that to my
- 41:56Speaker 1: loser cousin on Saturday. She texted me trying to talk smack,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and I couldn't that day, so I just blocked her
- 42:04Speaker 1: for the day. Well, the bottom line is, you know,
- 42:08Speaker 1: I remember when I had to ban Zeke from the show.
- 42:11Speaker 1: He was a Cowboy fan, and he said some stupid stuff.
- 42:14Speaker 1: If you don't call and hold yourself accountable for being
- 42:19Speaker 1: an idiot, then... I can't let you participate anymore. You know,
- 42:26Speaker 1: and that's what Raider fans do. I mean, Niner fans,
- 42:30Speaker 1: I cut them a little slack because I know they're
- 42:32Speaker 1: all bandwagoners. They're not real fans, and they're just trying
- 42:35Speaker 1: to make themselves feel better vicariously when the Niners are winning.
- 42:39Speaker 1: So I cut them a little bit of slack. But
- 42:41Speaker 1: Raider fans, they're diehard. They don't ever quit. They don't,
- 42:43Speaker 1: you know. That's why Raider James is the only one
- 42:48Speaker 1: that gets to talk and say whatever he wants whenever
- 42:50Speaker 1: he wants. Because he's not an idiot. He's a smart guy. Hey, Rome,
- 42:55Speaker 1: I could take the L's. It's not an excuse. It's
- 42:58Speaker 1: an explanation. But you got to be a hunter. You
- 43:00Speaker 1: know it's true. 49ers do start trucking it towards the
- 43:04Speaker 1: end of the season, all these injuries. Yeah, the Niners
- 43:08Speaker 1: aren't going to be there. The problem with the Raider fans, though,
- 43:12Speaker 1: is they're just so freaking obnoxious when they win, and
- 43:17Speaker 1: they take no accountability when they lose. And that's the problem.
- 43:21Speaker 1: The Raiders are doing exactly what they're... The Raider fans
- 43:25Speaker 1: believed 3-0 was what they were. I believe that's the
- 43:29Speaker 1: team they were as opposed to the team that has
- 43:32Speaker 1: lost the last two weeks with the most penalties. That's
- 43:35Speaker 1: who they really are. You know? I mean, she looked
- 43:38Speaker 1: good when she's all done up with makeup and hair
- 43:41Speaker 1: and nails. And then when you wake up the next morning,
- 43:44Speaker 1: that's who she really is. Okay? Hey, what's up, Rome?
- 43:49Speaker 1: What up, Lou?
- 43:50Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, it's called Fuerza Rekida.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Fuerza Rekida. Yeah, there you go.
- 43:57Speaker 2: That sounds good enough for me.
- 44:00Speaker 1: I'm not giving you no tickets, Lou.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Oh, I can give that me ticket but not Luis ticket.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Because you've already had your year. The Seattle Seahawks won
- 44:09Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. You had a baby. I mean, you're
- 44:12Speaker 1: done for the year with winning. You know what, Rome?
- 44:16Speaker 2: It'll make me feel better after this horrible long.
- 44:20Speaker 1: You still got the championship until February 14th.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but, you know. That's a long time from now.
- 44:29Speaker 1: We're talking about now. I'm hurting now. I can't spoil you, Lou.
- 44:32Speaker 1: I can't spoil you. Sorry.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Dang, bro.
- 44:36Speaker 1: All right. I can't get you used to winning because
- 44:39Speaker 1: when you go back to that loser lifestyle, you're just
- 44:41Speaker 1: going to feel worse.
- 44:43Speaker 2: It's going to feel bad, huh?
- 44:44Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 44:45Speaker 2: I'm already feeling it, bro.
- 44:46Speaker 1: You got to help me out, man. Get out of here. Yo,
- 44:50Speaker 1: what's going on? Hey, good morning, Romey. Am I too
- 44:53Speaker 1: late for the four-star Rehisa ticket? Yeah, somebody already got them.
- 44:57Speaker 1: But I got more all week long. I'll be giving
- 44:59Speaker 1: them away.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Oh, man, I heard you gave them to Ranger Dave.
- 45:02Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. I thought Ranger Dave had those royalties, man.
- 45:07Speaker 1: He probably got front row. He probably got backstage. Everybody,
- 45:12Speaker 1: Ranger Dave's a superstar, so he got everything.
- 45:15Speaker 2: And if you're listening right now, tell them I'll go
- 45:17Speaker 2: rager it out if you put me.
- 45:18Speaker 1: In a row. All right, get out of here. Hey, Rome.
- 45:24Speaker 1: When you giving away those Fueta Regia tickets, I want them.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Go Niners. You're probably a bandwagon fan anyways. I can't
- 45:32Speaker 1: help you out. Let's talk a little about something crazy.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I was talking to a friend of mine. Now, I've
- 45:37Speaker 1: known this guy since I moved to Bakersfield. So what,
- 45:40Speaker 1: 28 years, 29 years we've been friends. We're actually friends.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Kind of friends longer than that. So it's been a
- 45:48Speaker 1: while since we've been friends. Well, the night before I
- 45:51Speaker 1: moved to Bakersfield, this guy had a little get-together. He
- 45:54Speaker 1: owned a bar, ran a bar, owned a bar, and
- 45:57Speaker 1: he closes the bar. We can all party. Romeo's leaving, blah, blah, blah, right? Well,
- 46:03Speaker 1: since then, I still talk to the guy. In fact,
- 46:05Speaker 1: I was talking to him over the weekend. I just
- 46:07Speaker 1: haven't seen him in person. And we were talking about
- 46:11Speaker 1: it because his mom passed away recently. And most of
- 46:16Speaker 1: his family lives in another state. So the family came
- 46:20Speaker 1: out as sisters and other relatives from other states came
- 46:23Speaker 1: to see, you know, obviously to pay their respects, go
- 46:26Speaker 1: to the mom's funeral. Well, we were having a conversation
- 46:30Speaker 1: about seeing people. In the same thing that, well, I
- 46:33Speaker 1: still talk to him, but I haven't seen him in decades.
- 46:36Speaker 1: And I probably never will again. Now, I'll probably still
- 46:38Speaker 1: talk to him, obviously, but because we still do talk,
- 46:42Speaker 1: call each other, but we'll never see each other again.
- 46:45Speaker 1: He's got like his sister who lives in another state.
- 46:48Speaker 1: He goes, I'll probably never see them again because, you know,
- 46:51Speaker 1: I don't go to that state. They only would come
- 46:53Speaker 1: out here to see our mom. And then he told
- 46:57Speaker 1: me he saw some statistic that said 10 years after
- 47:02Speaker 1: your wedding day, you probably haven't spoken to and will
- 47:07Speaker 1: never speak to at least 50% of the people that
- 47:11Speaker 1: were at your wedding day. Now, not because they passed away,
- 47:14Speaker 1: just because people go off. They do different things. You know,
- 47:19Speaker 1: I think I told you the story once. I ran
- 47:21Speaker 1: into an uncle, I don't know, whenever my sister got
- 47:24Speaker 1: married over 10 years ago. And he was trying to...
- 47:27Speaker 1: I hadn't seen this guy in... And he's trying to
- 47:31Speaker 1: catch me up on everything that happened, and all I
- 47:34Speaker 1: could think about in my head was, I don't care
- 47:36Speaker 1: because I'm never going to see you again. And I
- 47:40Speaker 1: never saw him again. And there's people that, for some reason,
- 47:46Speaker 1: you were probably close to. They were at your wedding,
- 47:51Speaker 1: but you never see them again. For what reason? Do
- 47:56Speaker 1: you have anybody in your life? And it's not necessarily
- 47:58Speaker 1: because maybe it's a negative thing or maybe it's just
- 48:02Speaker 1: a life thing. I'm not really saying this in like
- 48:05Speaker 1: a negative manner. You know, you and your bestie were
- 48:08Speaker 1: friends for 40 years and you got in some big
- 48:10Speaker 1: blowout fight. No. And that could have happened. But just
- 48:14Speaker 1: the idea that there was somebody that you were so
- 48:17Speaker 1: close to, that could have been at your wedding. And
- 48:22Speaker 1: then you don't talk to him anymore. Or, you know,
- 48:27Speaker 1: like I have family members that I grew up with,
- 48:29Speaker 1: you know, cousins, aunts, uncles. I'll never see them again.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Not for any other reasons than not because we don't
- 48:37Speaker 1: like each other. Just because their lives are there. My
- 48:41Speaker 1: life is here and they don't cross paths anymore. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-0-7.
- 48:46Speaker 1: You got anybody in your life like that? so I
- 48:51Speaker 1: was talking to a buddy of mine, a buddy of
- 48:52Speaker 1: mine says that, uh, 10 years, a decade after your
- 48:56Speaker 1: wedding day, you were not talking to at least half
- 49:00Speaker 1: the people that were at your wedding. You think that's true?
- 49:04Speaker 1: At least half or something like that. Maybe, uh, that's
- 49:09Speaker 1: a decade. So what does that say about getting married?
- 49:14Speaker 1: Either that changes your life or it changes their life, right?
- 49:17Speaker 1: If you haven't, there's half the people at your wedding
- 49:21Speaker 1: you haven't talked to or you don't talk to anymore
- 49:24Speaker 1: after your wedding. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. Hey, Rome, you might be right
- 49:31Speaker 1: about that statistic you just said. I was the best
- 49:34Speaker 1: man for a friend of mine at his wedding, and
- 49:36Speaker 1: it was about 15 years ago. He married a woman
- 49:41Speaker 1: who now they live in Hawaii. I haven't seen him
- 49:44Speaker 1: or talked to him in about eight years. So I
- 49:49Speaker 1: did talk to him after the wedding, but... Yeah, so
- 49:52Speaker 1: you did talk to him after. So eight years, that
- 49:54Speaker 1: means if they got married 15 years ago, you haven't
- 49:59Speaker 1: talked to him about seven years. Yeah, that would make sense, right?
- 50:05Speaker 1: It just... So is it the wedding? Is it the
- 50:08Speaker 1: wedding that keeps you out of touch? People get married.
- 50:12Speaker 1: They start their own lives and you don't keep in
- 50:14Speaker 1: contact with them. You don't talk to them anymore or something.
- 50:18Speaker 1: It happens, right? I mean, there are people that you
- 50:20Speaker 1: know right now that you probably legitimately, you know, you'll
- 50:25Speaker 1: never see them again. You might not even ever talk
- 50:27Speaker 1: to them again, right? For no other reason than life.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Life just gets in the way. which is kind of
- 50:33Speaker 1: crazy considering how easy it is to communicate with people nowadays. Right.
- 50:40Speaker 1: But geez, I could just tell you living in Bakersfield,
- 50:44Speaker 1: those people that I know and I like, and I
- 50:46Speaker 1: haven't talked to them in 10 years and I might,
- 50:49Speaker 1: I'll probably run into them again sometime. But if I don't,
- 50:52Speaker 1: I don't, you know, Hey Rome, I know you're not
- 50:56Speaker 1: talking about this right now, but I was hoping I
- 50:58Speaker 1: could get your advice or your opinion on something. The
- 51:02Speaker 1: last month or so, I've ran into women. And I'm
- 51:07Speaker 1: trying to figure out what's going on with them. After
- 51:10Speaker 1: I met them, they went to bed. And I'm trying
- 51:15Speaker 1: to figure out if they're trying to get down or not.
- 51:18Speaker 1: Are they desperate? What is going on here? Because they
- 51:22Speaker 1: want to hang out now. I don't know what to think. Well,
- 51:30Speaker 1: they're not trying to lock you down. I'm just going
- 51:33Speaker 1: to tell you that right now. They are, um, yeah,
- 51:38Speaker 1: they're not trying to lock you down. You're probably a
- 51:40Speaker 1: good time. I'm just guessing based on what I'm just guessing. Okay.
- 51:45Speaker 1: You're probably fun to hang out with right now. You
- 51:48Speaker 1: like to go out, you like to do things. I mean,
- 51:52Speaker 1: they want to have sex. You want to have sex. Um,
- 51:55Speaker 1: the thing about these divorced women nowadays, uh, they get
- 51:58Speaker 1: out these relationships, these marriages and, And they kind of
- 52:02Speaker 1: turn into born-again hoes again, although they're not really born-again hoes.
- 52:06Speaker 1: They're just, you know, they've been locked up. You know,
- 52:10Speaker 1: they probably look good. You know, women usually, after they
- 52:17Speaker 1: get divorced, get back into shape again, you know. And
- 52:22Speaker 1: they're just out to have a good time. Now, do
- 52:24Speaker 1: they want to settle down with you? Probably not, okay?
- 52:27Speaker 1: But they do want to hang out. and kind of
- 52:30Speaker 1: get it out of their system because they've been trapped
- 52:32Speaker 1: in this marriage for so long that was probably not
- 52:36Speaker 1: exciting in the way it once was, and you're exciting.
- 52:40Speaker 1: So don't worry about them trying to lock you down.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Just have a good time. Get all you can from
- 52:47Speaker 1: them because eventually they'll get tired of you, and eventually
- 52:51Speaker 1: they'll move on to either staying single and they'll do
- 52:57Speaker 1: the next guy like they did you or they'll want
- 53:00Speaker 1: to settle down again. I mean, but you got to
- 53:03Speaker 1: give them a little time. You know, you got to
- 53:05Speaker 1: let them let all their frustration out from being married,
- 53:11Speaker 1: being stuck in a marriage they didn't want to be
- 53:13Speaker 1: in or, you know, getting dumped because their husband cheated
- 53:18Speaker 1: on them. They want to get, you know, they need
- 53:21Speaker 1: some time. So, no, don't worry about it. You're fine, okay?
- 53:24Speaker 1: They're just going to want to have sex with you
- 53:26Speaker 1: for a while and go out with you for a while,
- 53:29Speaker 1: and then they'll move on to something else. So just
- 53:32Speaker 1: ride it out, bro. You'll be good. It's funny. A
- 53:34Speaker 1: guy just texted me. I guess over the last month
- 53:36Speaker 1: or so, he's met a couple of divorced women, and
- 53:40Speaker 1: he seems to think they're moving kind of fast. I
- 53:42Speaker 1: don't know if he thinks. Basically, he said they gave
- 53:46Speaker 1: it up the first night. They want to hang out.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Lots of sex, lots of hanging out, right? And he's
- 53:52Speaker 1: wondering if they are trying to lock them down. No,
- 53:55Speaker 1: they're not trying to lock you down at all. They
- 53:57Speaker 1: don't want that. You know, they just got out of
- 54:01Speaker 1: a relationship. They just got out of a marriage. I
- 54:04Speaker 1: don't know if it was a good marriage or a
- 54:06Speaker 1: bad marriage or if they got cheated on or not,
- 54:08Speaker 1: but they got to let all that frustration out. You know,
- 54:12Speaker 1: they got to while out for a little while to
- 54:15Speaker 1: get over the fact, to get over whatever their relationship
- 54:19Speaker 1: or their marriage was, okay? So when you meet a
- 54:23Speaker 1: divorced woman, newly divorced, yeah, they're ready to while out.
- 54:29Speaker 1: And you just got to roll with it. They're not
- 54:31Speaker 1: trying to lock you down. They're not trying to do anything. But,
- 54:34Speaker 1: you know, get them some, honestly, and hang out. A-Rome,
- 54:40Speaker 1: the ball is in his court, Rome. He is controlling
- 54:43Speaker 1: the situation. They will push it to whichever limit. He
- 54:47Speaker 1: allows it to, if they don't, if he don't want
- 54:50Speaker 1: nothing serious, set the standard with them. And when you
- 54:53Speaker 1: get bored, simply ghost them. There ain't no attachment. I
- 54:57Speaker 1: do it all the time, but that's how, yeah, that's
- 54:59Speaker 1: how these, the worst women are. They just want to
- 55:00Speaker 1: while out, have a good time. And that guy's right.
- 55:04Speaker 1: You can just push it to whatever limits you want.
- 55:06Speaker 1: They'll damn near do whatever you want, you know, because
- 55:09Speaker 1: they just, it's almost like they're, you know, they got
- 55:13Speaker 1: to get that. They got to get that wholeness out
- 55:15Speaker 1: of their system again. you know, before they either decide
- 55:18Speaker 1: to settle down and get married again, not with you,
- 55:21Speaker 1: but in the future, just depends. It's just, and they
- 55:26Speaker 1: all do it. Okay. They're all doing it. So to be,
- 55:31Speaker 1: he's right. To be honest with you, if you want
- 55:33Speaker 1: to have a great time, go find you a woman
- 55:34Speaker 1: who's just getting divorced or has got divorced. You know,
- 55:38Speaker 1: you do whatever you want. It'd be a hell of
- 55:40Speaker 1: a party.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Good morning, Romeo.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Hey, what's up?
- 55:44Speaker 2: That man needs to just go for the ride and
- 55:46Speaker 2: enjoy it. Because I have a recently, I.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Can't say too recently, it's about to go on five years,
- 55:52Speaker 1: divorced woman.
- 55:54Speaker 2: I was married 20 years. And yeah, we don't want
- 55:57Speaker 2: no damn relationship.
- 55:59Speaker 1: We just want to have girls. They want to have fun.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Let us have fun.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Don't think we want you because we don't.
- 56:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I understand. He just, yeah. Well, you know,
- 56:14Speaker 1: you don't. You don't meet a lot of women like
- 56:18Speaker 1: divorced women. When you date regular women who haven't been
- 56:21Speaker 1: married yet and they still want a relationship and they
- 56:24Speaker 1: want to settle down and they want to do it right,
- 56:27Speaker 1: then you meet a divorced woman and she's just ready
- 56:30Speaker 1: to do everything. You start to go, wait a second,
- 56:33Speaker 1: is she doing all this to keep me? You got
- 56:36Speaker 1: to realize she's just doing it because she, like you said,
- 56:38Speaker 1: wants to have fun because she just got out.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Yep.
- 56:43Speaker 1: You got, you got to just, you got to go
- 56:45Speaker 1: with it because like, seriously, um, the last two guys
- 56:48Speaker 1: that I messed with, I can't get rid of them,
- 56:51Speaker 1: but it was just supposed to be a hit it
- 56:53Speaker 1: and quit it.
- 56:54Speaker 2: But I accidentally gave him my real number and, um, yeah.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Now you, now you messed up. All right. All right. Later.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Um, but yeah, that's all it is.
- 57:06Speaker 1: I mean, you guys, But it's difficult to understand. You guys,
- 57:10Speaker 1: a lot of these guys in Bakersfield, you don't understand women, okay?
- 57:14Speaker 1: Because everybody wants that scene where they come home and
- 57:18Speaker 1: she's in the lingerie in her high heels, you know,
- 57:20Speaker 1: bent over waiting for you because you just got off work, right? Well,
- 57:24Speaker 1: everybody thinks that that's real. And it's not really real
- 57:28Speaker 1: unless you're good looking and have $ 100 million in your
- 57:31Speaker 1: bank account. Then that's really real. But what you don't
- 57:34Speaker 1: understand is a divorced woman is as close as you're
- 57:37Speaker 1: going to get to that because she's out to have fun.
- 57:40Speaker 1: And she just got out. She just did a 20-year stint.
- 57:45Speaker 1: She just got out. She's ready to roll. And she's
- 57:48Speaker 1: not trying to lock you down, bro. Just have fun
- 57:50Speaker 1: and enjoy it. So a guy just sent me this
- 57:53Speaker 1: talking about divorced women. Apparently, he's over the last month
- 57:56Speaker 1: or so, he's met a couple of divorced women. And
- 57:59Speaker 1: I guess they were doing some things that he thought...
- 58:03Speaker 1: were trying to lock them down. He thought maybe they
- 58:06Speaker 1: were desperate and that's why they were being so freaky
- 58:08Speaker 1: and so whatever immediately. But no, that's not the case.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Divorced women are, you got to remember, they just got
- 58:15Speaker 1: out of a relationship. Whether they were the ones that
- 58:17Speaker 1: left or whether they were done dirty, they're all about
- 58:22Speaker 1: getting back out there, having fun, rebuilding their self-esteem, all
- 58:26Speaker 1: of the things that, well, that women do. So no,
- 58:31Speaker 1: they're not I'm not trying to lock you down. Good morning, Hal.
- 58:34Speaker 1: What's going on? Hey, what's up?
- 58:36Speaker 2: You know, I'm not divorced. I mean, I have been
- 58:41Speaker 2: in my brain when my husband gets me mad, but
- 58:44Speaker 2: what this guy is experiencing is like the marriage.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I forgot your birthday. Oh, don't cuss. I see what
- 58:53Speaker 1: you're saying. I see where you're going with that.
- 58:55Speaker 2: You know, he's in the honeymoon phase of where he's like,
- 59:00Speaker 2: I don't know what to do.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Like, you know, normally I have to work really hard
- 59:03Speaker 1: to go ahead and get some or have something happen
- 59:07Speaker 1: to me. And that's why I'm getting some. Yeah. Okay.
- 59:10Speaker 1: But you just enjoy it, you know, just enjoy it
- 59:12Speaker 1: because it's like you said.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Man, it's like when you're going through a dry spell
- 59:17Speaker 2: and then you finally get it, and oh my goodness.
- 59:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a... you got to understand it to know it.
- 59:24Speaker 1: And if you've never, if you've never seen it or
- 59:26Speaker 1: been involved in it before, then this poor guy doesn't
- 59:29Speaker 1: know what he's, what he's got, how lucky he's got
- 59:31Speaker 1: it right now. It won't last forever though, bro, but
- 59:34Speaker 1: you got to go to right now. All right. Thanks.
- 59:37Speaker 1: I mean, it's not going to last forever, so don't
- 59:40Speaker 1: get me wrong. They're going to move on. Okay. But
- 59:44Speaker 1: you just got to enjoy the ride while you can.
- 59:46Speaker 1: I mean, that's what happens. Already four, two, five, four,
- 59:49Speaker 1: seven to seven. Hey, Rome. You're absolutely right. A few
- 59:54Speaker 1: months back, well, actually about six months ago, I met
- 59:58Speaker 1: this woman. She was in her 50s who had gotten divorced.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Her husband had left her in Rome. Let me tell you,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: she was in banging shape. She looked good, and she
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: let me do things that you only see in the movies.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about. And it kind of
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: freaked me out because I had never met a woman
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: like that. So I didn't know what to do, Rome,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: but it only lasted a month or two, and then
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: she moved on to something else. I wish I still
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: had that today, though, Rome, but you know what you're
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: talking about. I do know what I'm talking about because
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: you've got to look at it like this. They've been
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: locked up in this relationship for so long, and maybe
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: it was happy for a while, but for whatever reason,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: it's over with, whether it was them that decided because
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: they were unhappy or whether it was their husband that
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: decided because he wasn't happy. But whatever it was, now
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: they have no accountability. Plus, they're not idiots. You know,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: they've been through some things. You know, they've experienced some life.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: And so they know how to deal with things. And
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: they're a lot more secure about themselves when they're handling
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: these things. You know what I'm saying? So they got
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: to build up their self-esteem again. They got to get
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: some things out of the system before they figure out
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: what the next chapter in life is going to be.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: And you're that guy. A guy just texted me, I guess,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: over the last couple of months. He said he's ran
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: into a couple of divorced women. And for some reason, well,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I know the reason why. He thinks they're trying to
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: lock him down because they want to have sex all
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: the time, because they want to hang out and party
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: all the time. He thinks they're doing these things to
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: try to trap him. Well, that was the question he
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: was asking me. And they're not. They're not at all
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: trying to trap you. They're just out having fun reliving
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: their life again because they've been stuck in this relationship
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: for so long that they're out doing, just having fun again.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: You know, they're not trying to trap you. There's, you know,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: they're just trying to get back what they lost. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. Hey, Rome,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: the lady that called was crazy. She said she can't
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: get rid of those two guys. It might be the
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: other way around. That's why these men got to be
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: careful with some of these divorced ladies, because I'll tell
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: you what, you give it to him real good and
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: they won't want to leave. They just might want to
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: get attached. I am not sure what kind of divorced
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: women you've dated. You might be dating women that are
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: out there looking for stepdaddies, but no. All the divorced
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: women that I know in Bakersfield, they out being hoes.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: You know, they've been stuck in a 10-year relationship, 20-year relationship.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: They still look good. They stay in shape. Once they
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: got dumped, they got back in shape. And now they
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: out just hoeing and enjoying their life. But the difference
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: is they're not dumb. They've been through some things. They
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: got life experience. So they're allowing you guys to really
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: do whatever you want because that's not what they're, they're
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: not about locking you down. They're about out there and get,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: they're about being out there and getting theirs and just, yeah,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: whatever it takes. So I don't know what, I don't
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: know where, where you're finding divorced women at, but Obviously,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: it's not where I see them. RD-4254, 7 to 7. Yo, Rome,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: that's why they say you can't turn a hoe into
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: a housewife. Um, no, that's not true at all. You
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: can turn one into a housewife, but if you do
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: her dirty, what do you think she's supposed to do?
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Romeo in the morning. Every morning.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: On Hot 94.1.
