- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, let's jump into it today. Of course, this
- 0:02Speaker 1: is Trump attacking the banks. We're going to break it
- 0:04Speaker 1: down for you. My name is Paul Bher. Welcome back

- 0:31Speaker 1: a couple of points I want to hit on first.
- 0:33Speaker 1: The EU has now halted retaliatory tariffs. This is good
- 0:36Speaker 1: news as they finalize trade deals with the US. So
- 0:39Speaker 1: Trump is over there working some deals out, but he
- 0:42Speaker 1: also goes on and talks about all of this happening
- 0:46Speaker 1: and what it means to the market in general. And
- 0:49Speaker 1: this was an interview that was done on the squawk
- 0:51Speaker 1: Box today. It is a voice call that he called
- 0:54Speaker 1: into the Squawk team and started to break down some
- 0:58Speaker 1: of this. Listen it.
- 1:00Speaker 2: You talked again about this idea of dividends for middle
- 1:03Speaker 2: and lower income folks that might come off of the tariffs,
- 1:07Speaker 2: meaning the revenue that's coming in from the tariffs, how
- 1:09Speaker 2: that might work.
- 1:10Speaker 3: So we're taking in trillions of dollars, Andrew, if you
- 1:13Speaker 3: look at Japan European Union, six hundred and fifty billion dollars,
- 1:17Speaker 3: think of it. And they're going to do this and
- 1:19Speaker 3: they're going to do that. If you did business in Japan,
- 1:22Speaker 3: they would arrest you. You're not allowed to do any business.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And now Japan has totally opened up. Other things that
- 1:27Speaker 3: do very well here will also do well there. You'd
- 1:30Speaker 3: be surprised at some of the great things we make.
- 1:32Speaker 3: She said, no, no, no, we don't take any of
- 1:35Speaker 3: you guys. I said, that's right. That's not nice. I said,
- 1:38Speaker 3: that's not right. That's not a nice thing. I'm gonna
- 1:41Speaker 3: and they're being and they're being present.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Mister President. What kind of teeth though or in those
- 1:45Speaker 2: in those investments. We have been trying to figure out
- 1:48Speaker 2: the details on that, mister President's.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Well, there are no the details are six hundred billion
- 1:52Speaker 3: to invest in anything I want anything. I can do
- 1:55Speaker 3: anything I want, all.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Right, So I don't know if that is accurate. The
- 2:00Speaker 1: other thing that We'll get to that in a second.
- 2:03Speaker 1: But I do want to play another clip because this
- 2:04Speaker 1: is talking about the China trade deal. And this one's
- 2:07Speaker 1: important because it gives us at least a little bit
- 2:10Speaker 1: of an indicator as to where maybe the negotiation is.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Right now, take a look.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Will there be a meeting between you and prison? See
- 2:17Speaker 4: anything planned at this point?
- 2:18Speaker 3: So the fake news announced Donald Trump wants a meeting
- 2:22Speaker 3: with China. No, I didn't want it. No, he asked
- 2:24Speaker 3: for a meeting, And I'll end up having a meeting
- 2:27Speaker 3: before the end of the year, most likely if we
- 2:28Speaker 3: make a deal. If we don't make a deal, I'm
- 2:31Speaker 3: not going to have a meeting. I mean, you know what,
- 2:32Speaker 3: what's the purpose of meeting if we're not going to
- 2:34Speaker 3: make a deal. Where are we now with China? By
- 2:36Speaker 3: the way, because I kept adding more and more, they
- 2:38Speaker 3: said Surrey up to one hundred and forty five percent.
- 2:41Speaker 3: I said, you gotta be kidding. So I sort of
- 2:43Speaker 3: had to bring it down a little bit. But China
- 2:46Speaker 3: was collapsing. It's it's not imperative, but I think we're
- 2:50Speaker 3: going to make a good deal. No, I don't know
- 2:53Speaker 3: an eight it's a nineteen hour flight. It's a long flight,
- 2:57Speaker 3: but at some point, and they're not too distant, sweet,
- 3:00Speaker 3: I will all right.
- 3:02Speaker 1: So just that statement alone, I think started to tumble
- 3:05Speaker 1: the markets. If you look at bitcoin, just from this
- 3:07Speaker 1: is on the four hour, over these statements, this big
- 3:11Speaker 1: red candle right there holding it around two percent down
- 3:13Speaker 1: on bitcoin eth kind of in the same vote with
- 3:16Speaker 1: a big red candle down on the four hour, all
- 3:19Speaker 1: coming in I think because of this squawk box interview,
- 3:22Speaker 1: because the President was a little bit disheveled, he was
- 3:25Speaker 1: in a lot of different directions trying to defend and
- 3:28Speaker 1: I think they did a good time or a good
- 3:30Speaker 1: job of at least asking some questions. Whether they were
- 3:33Speaker 1: going to get any answers was the question. And I
- 3:36Speaker 1: want to go to one more clip here because this
- 3:38Speaker 1: is Trump kind of going into a lot of different
- 3:41Speaker 1: places to try to explain what's going on in the economy.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Take a look here we go.
- 3:48Speaker 3: It's a highly political situation. It's totally rigged. Smart people
- 3:52Speaker 3: know it. People with common tend to know it a
- 3:55Speaker 3: lot of people like you.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Let's move on to this. Which number do you believe
- 4:00Speaker 4: at this point the chances of a rate cut soared
- 4:03Speaker 4: because of these numbers? Do you not believe the current numbers?
- 4:06Speaker 3: Now what I want? I don't want that. I wanted
- 4:08Speaker 3: it a year ago. I wanted it a long time ago.
- 4:11Speaker 3: J Powell is a highly political I mean, that was
- 4:15Speaker 3: a rigged election.
- 4:16Speaker 4: We can't litigate that.
- 4:18Speaker 3: We can't re litigate that rigged election.
- 4:23Speaker 4: I have to check on that, and you know they
- 4:25Speaker 4: expect Jacket. Why don't you check it? So you did
- 4:29Speaker 4: get the highest number of votes in Texas, So that's true.
- 4:32Speaker 3: But when you're talking to you, don't have to say
- 4:34Speaker 3: anything more, Joe, I got to say that. No, don't
- 4:38Speaker 3: say anything more. Don't qualify it by second. No, I've
- 4:41Speaker 3: got the highest.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Number of votes you did, and I'm moving on.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I have the best poll numbers I've ever had. You
- 4:47Speaker 3: know why, because people love the tariffs.
- 4:50Speaker 4: You don't have the best you ever had in overall
- 4:52Speaker 4: poll numbers, you do.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I have the best ball numbers I've ever had. Among
- 4:56Speaker 3: the poll numbers where I'm seventy one percent.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Those are among were among Republicans, No.
- 5:02Speaker 3: No, no, no, among Republicans ninety four and ninety five percent.
- 5:07Speaker 3: You don't put that on because I think CBS is
- 5:09Speaker 3: a shade. Actually CNN's a shade better than NBC. I
- 5:13Speaker 3: think NBC is probably the worst of them all.
- 5:15Speaker 1: All right, So from that clip you can see President
- 5:18Speaker 1: Trump was all over the place in trade deals, the tariffs,
- 5:22Speaker 1: the issues with inflation, the rate cuts, the Bureau of
- 5:25Speaker 1: Labor numbers, all of this really went back into one
- 5:29Speaker 1: other thing, and that was always you know, Trump's approval rating.
- 5:31Speaker 1: This corner is from Silver Bulletin, and this shows the
- 5:35Speaker 1: key areas of interest. So this is going to be immigration, economy, trade,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and inflation, all of which have dropped significantly down from
- 5:44Speaker 1: the period of when Liberation Day began. So just remember
- 5:48Speaker 1: all this began around Liberation or Liberation Day in the
- 5:52Speaker 1: sense of where tariffs were established and said this is
- 5:54Speaker 1: where we're going to go. Everything has started to drop
- 5:57Speaker 1: in terms of favorability for this, But it does lead
- 6:00Speaker 1: into the thing that I do want to talk about today,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and that of course, is a White House now starting
- 6:05Speaker 1: to wage war against the banks and especially on anti
- 6:09Speaker 1: crypto banking. Going forward, he did a lot in terms
- 6:13Speaker 1: of now setting up a potential executive order to actually
- 6:17Speaker 1: put some pressure on the bank. Here is a little
- 6:20Speaker 1: bit about that. Take a look.
- 6:21Speaker 2: You're prepping an order that they say would punish banks
- 6:24Speaker 2: that discriminate against conservatives, including potentially Bank of America. Can
- 6:29Speaker 2: you tell us about that.
- 6:30Speaker 3: I'll give you me as an example. I had hundreds
- 6:32Speaker 3: of millions loaded up with cash. They told me, I'm sorry, sir,
- 6:37Speaker 3: we can't have you. You have twenty days to get out.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I said, you got to be kidding. I've been with
- 6:41Speaker 3: you for thirty five forty years. That's Jamie JP Morgan jays.
- 6:46Speaker 3: I can't believe it. I've never had anything like it.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And it's not like g You're defaulted and alone. You know,
- 6:51Speaker 3: Jesus if I could understand that, that's different. But there's
- 6:53Speaker 3: no default. I mean, there's nothing but cash. I call
- 6:56Speaker 3: a Bank of America, routinely speak to him, and I
- 6:59Speaker 3: speak to couple of people, and they have zero interest.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Brian was kissing my ass when I was president, and
- 7:07Speaker 3: when I called him after I was president to deposit
- 7:10Speaker 3: a billion dollars, he said, we can't do it. Nope,
- 7:13Speaker 3: we can't do it. So I went to another, one, another,
- 7:15Speaker 3: one another one. I ended up going to small banks
- 7:17Speaker 3: all over the place. I mean, I was putting ten
- 7:19Speaker 3: million here, ten million there, and it's lucky I even
- 7:22Speaker 3: had them. They were doing me a favor. The banks
- 7:25Speaker 3: discriminated against me very badly. And guess what, I'm president?
- 7:30Speaker 3: How did that happen? All right?
- 7:32Speaker 1: So one point that you kind of compare this to
- 7:35Speaker 1: is remember that we had Brad garling House personally and
- 7:38Speaker 1: within the businesses that was also discriminated against. With these banks,
- 7:42Speaker 1: they were basically shutting these things down. This is kind
- 7:44Speaker 1: of goes all the way back to Chuck point two
- 7:46Speaker 1: point zero. But this, of course could get into an
- 7:49Speaker 1: executive order.
- 7:49Speaker 4: If it does, this will be.
- 7:51Speaker 1: A calling, I think, a wake up call I should
- 7:53Speaker 1: say to these banks going forward. Now, with all that
- 7:57Speaker 1: being said, you have to look at, well, where could
- 7:59Speaker 1: pill go? Well, they're going to go to places like Robinhood.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Here is course Robinhood talking about interest in pursuing the
- 8:06Speaker 1: bank charter. They went through their earnings call yesterday. A
- 8:10Speaker 1: couple of points he noted was is we found thus
- 8:12Speaker 1: far that we have all the capabilities available through the partnership, right,
- 8:16Speaker 1: now this is their existing bank, so they can actually
- 8:19Speaker 1: launch on what they have today without getting the charter.
- 8:24Speaker 1: So it was very interesting that this statement went on.
- 8:28Speaker 1: One other tweets that I want to jump into is
- 8:30Speaker 1: the date that all this is going to be available,
- 8:32Speaker 1: which is coming later in the quarter, right there in
- 8:34Speaker 1: that last sentence, later in the court.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Available to you guys.
- 8:36Speaker 1: In terms of banking, now, one of the things that
- 8:39Speaker 1: everybody questions is well, what about borrowing and lending? That,
- 8:43Speaker 1: of course is something that may be brewing in the background.
- 8:46Speaker 1: This was a course over on our own x account
- 8:49Speaker 1: where we just simply said, hey, glad Win ave because
- 8:52Speaker 1: this would be a perfect connection if you think about
- 8:55Speaker 1: Morpho and their connection to coinbase and how they've been
- 8:58Speaker 1: able to integrate in to the app that is a
- 9:01Speaker 1: DeFi ecosystem, so it obviously wouldn't need a banking charger.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So that might be a hidden gem that is brewing
- 9:07Speaker 1: under the hood of Robinhood, especially as our start to
- 9:11Speaker 1: roll out everything within the banking component as well. All right,
- 9:14Speaker 1: so I want to go to a clip real quick,
- 9:15Speaker 1: because this is something around USDG and why Robinhood selected it.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Take a look at.
- 9:20Speaker 5: This, you know, we continue to support you as DC.
- 9:23Speaker 5: We'll support whatever stable coin customers want. But yeah, us
- 9:28Speaker 5: DG I think has we think has a nice structure
- 9:31Speaker 5: as a consortium where we get the benefits of having
- 9:34Speaker 5: our own coin. Yeah, because if you think about it,
- 9:36Speaker 5: if I was offering you, as you know, a crypto
- 9:40Speaker 5: exchange or wallet operator robinhood coin, your first reaction might
- 9:46Speaker 5: be why would I have robinhood coin on my platform
- 9:50Speaker 5: and why would I endorse that? But if it's something
- 9:53Speaker 5: that's collectively owned, then I think that could be very
- 9:56Speaker 5: very powerful if the participants get to control the reward
- 10:00Speaker 5: in the yield and distribute it accordingly. So if we
- 10:03Speaker 5: bring more dollars into the network, admit more USDG, we
- 10:10Speaker 5: get a disproportionate amount of the awards based on what
- 10:12Speaker 5: we bring.
- 10:14Speaker 1: All right, So as you can see, mainly what he's
- 10:16Speaker 1: looking at there is the fact that if you kind
- 10:18Speaker 1: of compare this to other platforms like coinbase, etc. That
- 10:21Speaker 1: means that robinhood still has the capacity to retain one
- 10:25Speaker 1: reward capability within it, and also that other platforms couldn't
- 10:28Speaker 1: deny it like if it was a coinbase token or
- 10:31Speaker 1: a robin Hood token. This opens it up a lot
- 10:35Speaker 1: more efficiently to kind of go interoperable around all the
- 10:38Speaker 1: ecosystems out there. So if you look at the current market,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you kind of compare what's happening with Coinbase and Robinhood.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Here's the top analyst saying, hey, I've got a little
- 10:47Speaker 1: bit of a surprising pick. I don't know that it
- 10:49Speaker 1: was a surprise because if you look at the earnings
- 10:51Speaker 1: data on what Coinbase did versus what Robinhood performed, Robinhood's
- 10:56Speaker 1: revenues are exploding. And again this goes back into the
- 11:00Speaker 1: d of customer that I think Robinhood is effectively hitting.
- 11:03Speaker 1: And remember Robinhood is a brokerage, so that gives them
- 11:08Speaker 1: a one up in the market. Overall, their quarter two
- 11:10Speaker 1: revealed forty five percent jump. We're going to see a
- 11:13Speaker 1: lot more of this. We showed Kathy Woods portfolio the
- 11:15Speaker 1: other day exploding into Robinhood. Keep an eye right here
- 11:19Speaker 1: on the robin Hood stock. Further into this, let's go
- 11:22Speaker 1: over to Strobe Finance, because this of course will affect
- 11:25Speaker 1: XRP and others, especially around the potential to earn or
- 11:29Speaker 1: I should say borrow and lend. This is something though
- 11:32Speaker 1: that I think still needs some improvement. If you look
- 11:35Speaker 1: at some of the performance of what they're doing right there,
- 11:37Speaker 1: XRP not really available yet in terms of best rates
- 11:41Speaker 1: of what you can get within STROBE finance. But I
- 11:44Speaker 1: think the point is that this is coming to a
- 11:46Speaker 1: lot of DeFi ecosystems, So get ready banking is getting
- 11:50Speaker 1: ready to I think be unearthed here going forward, and
- 11:53Speaker 1: maybe all of this tied back to a executive order
- 11:57Speaker 1: that could put some more pressures on the bank. Let's
- 11:59Speaker 1: go back to another thing that's putting pressure on the markets,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and that is earnings week. Now, this gets back into
- 12:05Speaker 1: an area I've talked about often because I think this
- 12:08Speaker 1: is the precursor to a market downturn, is how food does,
- 12:13Speaker 1: especially in the restaurant industry.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Take a look the fast food chains could be, in
- 12:18Speaker 6: our view, could be seeing more compressed earnings than others,
- 12:21Speaker 6: and the reason behind it is that they're more exposed
- 12:23Speaker 6: to deliver income consumer that has a more significant amount
- 12:27Speaker 6: of pressure from a macro standpoint, where the pressure lies
- 12:30Speaker 6: in our view, still remains within the low income consumer segment.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Then we're going to see the evolution of that this
- 12:36Speaker 6: week with the print of four to five major qui QSRs.
- 12:42Speaker 1: All right, so I want you to pay attention to
- 12:44Speaker 1: what he was talking about QSR quick service restaurants. I
- 12:47Speaker 1: want you to pay attention to those earnings. This week,
- 12:49Speaker 1: McDonald's will be the one to watch. Starbucks is going
- 12:52Speaker 1: to be another to keep an eye on. Chipotle gets
- 12:54Speaker 1: into the fast casual category. But all of them are
- 12:57Speaker 1: interesting because if they start to slow. From what I'm
- 13:01Speaker 1: hearing from a lot of CEOs is they've been holding
- 13:03Speaker 1: back on taking price, meaning raising prices. If they slow
- 13:07Speaker 1: on earnings, you can bet with everything that's happening in
- 13:10Speaker 1: the tariff market, they are going to start taking price.
- 13:13Speaker 1: If that occurs, expect two things. One higher prices. That's
- 13:17Speaker 1: going to increase inflation. We're going right to the core
- 13:19Speaker 1: of the inflation heart and that is food and energy.
- 13:22Speaker 1: The other thing that I think it does is it
- 13:24Speaker 1: has an immediate effect on how the restaurants perform in
- 13:27Speaker 1: being able to hire new people. That's a big category.
- 13:30Speaker 1: You're talking about fifteen million people in the United States
- 13:34Speaker 1: alone that are employed there. If we get a big
- 13:36Speaker 1: hit there, that's a problem for the economy. And of course,
- 13:40Speaker 1: when you talk about that, you have to look at
- 13:41Speaker 1: rate cuts. Goldman sachs now saying that that we are
- 13:45Speaker 1: expecting a rate cut coming in September. Big surprise. You know,
- 13:50Speaker 1: this is something that I've been pressing for a while
- 13:52Speaker 1: because I believe that we should have taken it in July.
- 13:55Speaker 1: All of this data, I still feel has been out there.
- 13:59Speaker 1: You know. It's that we don't have economists out there
- 14:01Speaker 1: that can understand maybe where the real market is heading.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Because all this data is something that I've been talking
- 14:07Speaker 1: about for quite some time, and it's now starting to showcase.
- 14:10Speaker 1: So September we're going to see it now. Yes, that
- 14:14Speaker 1: means we're probably going to see continued inflation. Whether we
- 14:16Speaker 1: start to see inflation rolling toward the end of the year,
- 14:19Speaker 1: I don't know if it's going to be a big acceleration,
- 14:22Speaker 1: but I am expecting a considerable move up by first
- 14:26Speaker 1: of years. So keep an eye on that. Other things,
- 14:28Speaker 1: if you look at the FED decision in September, polymarket
- 14:31Speaker 1: is now skyrocketed to up over seventy percent. Likelihood is
- 14:35Speaker 1: this going to raise to eighty percent in the next
- 14:37Speaker 1: few weeks, I imagine? Other news, is Solana getting ready
- 14:42Speaker 1: to drop in because maybe you can fight some of
- 14:44Speaker 1: this inflation with some air drops. Well, the Seeker is
- 14:47Speaker 1: shipping this week and hopefully you guys are going to
- 14:50Speaker 1: get one. If you get your Seeker, by the way,
- 14:51Speaker 1: drop a comment down alot, let me know that you
- 14:53Speaker 1: received it, and we will do the same to give
- 14:56Speaker 1: you guys an insight. Hopefully we'll get it early enough
- 14:58Speaker 1: so we can show it to you guys. But it
- 15:00Speaker 1: is shipping. Fifty one hundred and fifty thousand devices starting
- 15:05Speaker 1: to go out right now, so be on the lookout
- 15:07Speaker 1: for that. If you look at the performance of where
- 15:10Speaker 1: they have been. Remember these air drops right here.
- 15:14Speaker 4: This was on the.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Original Saga that was a six hundred dollars phone. Now
- 15:18Speaker 1: over two thousand, that says today. So will we see
- 15:22Speaker 1: this repeat itself with a new device and see a
- 15:25Speaker 1: lot of new air drops, a lot of new DAPs,
- 15:27Speaker 1: a lot of new cool potential here. This is val
- 15:30Speaker 1: you fight inflation right now, and that is get out
- 15:32Speaker 1: of the system, guys. So if you're not in the system,
- 15:35Speaker 1: we'll jump into our system, and that is the Diamond Circle.
