- 2:46Speaker 1: covering some of his stats. We're gonna be talking about
- 2:49Speaker 1: Monday Night Roll and Friday Nights Backdown perhaps uh that
- 2:55Speaker 1: and more. But in the meantime, let me bring in
- 2:58Speaker 1: my co host.
- 3:00Speaker 5: So.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Hey, Hey, it might have been take it's just me. Okay,
- 3:11Speaker 2: it's just just.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Medun chunking me.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Okay, Dan, this lot.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Of them all not for lock of.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Dad Black did like it's on me now.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I wanna get them all.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I wanna get him all.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Oh, jo.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Oh you.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Know what to do?
- 3:39Speaker 3: PCW crew Main Event rat So it's back on your podcast.
- 3:43Speaker 3: And it sounds like this one's gonna be an interesting
- 3:46Speaker 3: one for audio this episode.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Alright, Yeah, I got some crackling on my own. I
- 3:50Speaker 1: don't understand why, you know what, though, To be honest,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I have a massive storm going on outside. I don't
- 3:57Speaker 1: know that might be interfering my internet at all. Uh,
- 4:02Speaker 1: who knows, We'll see, we'll see.
- 4:05Speaker 6: How to say it is.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah, blame it on the storm coming through.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Yeah, all right. Let me let me invite our other
- 4:13Speaker 1: co hosts and from revisiting the media. Welcome back, carlos.
- 4:44Speaker 6: Hey, if you weren't surprised that I was here, then you.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Are all right. No Doyle this week? No, no Tyler.
- 4:55Speaker 6: How coincidental that Doyle once again avoiding me?
- 4:59Speaker 1: That's dude. Can't catch you guys on the same fucking
- 5:01Speaker 1: show together. And well, I mean I had this theory
- 5:07Speaker 1: that Doyle is secretly on another podcast. Yeah, it's a
- 5:12Speaker 1: theory I have.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Uh, we'll have to lock you two a cage where
- 5:20Speaker 3: y'all came high from each other.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, talk it out.
- 5:24Speaker 6: Can't forever.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I mean, it's this is like round you know, holidays.
- 5:32Speaker 1: This is always when it's rough to get everybody together.
- 5:35Speaker 1: To record. So just fortunate enough the episode's coming out,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you know, a few days later than normal. Uh, but
- 5:45Speaker 1: we're making do you know we're gonna We were just
- 5:48Speaker 1: talking about the Slammy Awards coming up, you know. I
- 5:51Speaker 1: like to do that after New Year's you know, once
- 5:54Speaker 1: the dust has settled and we're into the new year
- 5:56Speaker 1: and everybody's you know, relaxed because we've got so much
- 6:01Speaker 1: stuff on the horizon here with the holidays, and it's
- 6:03Speaker 1: just hard to get somebody to get all of us
- 6:06Speaker 1: together as much a it is, just like the real
- 6:08Speaker 1: families trying to get you all together. I suspect not
- 6:13Speaker 1: everybody's family lives extremely close, within like blocks of each other,
- 6:17Speaker 1: So every year it's a hassle getting everybody together, and
- 6:22Speaker 1: it's the same thing here on PCW. That said, gentlemen,
- 6:29Speaker 1: we got Saturday Night Man event to talk about here.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Only four matches, very interesting pay per view, very interesting takes,
- 6:41Speaker 1: very ups and downs. I can't wait to get into this.
- 6:47Speaker 1: After that, we got a couple other things to get
- 6:50Speaker 1: into with Rawl and possibly smack Down. But Drake, guess
- 6:55Speaker 1: what I have coming in the mail tomorrow?
- 6:59Speaker 2: What's that?
- 7:00Speaker 1: I have a brand new PCW T shirt coming in
- 7:04Speaker 1: the new logo directly from Pro Wrestling Teas dot com.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Nice.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Wait, yeah, we got four new shirts up. We do
- 7:14Speaker 1: have the DX and the nWo versions which have been
- 7:16Speaker 1: up before, but now we've removed the QR code in
- 7:19Speaker 1: the back, and the reason that being is it cuts
- 7:22Speaker 1: down the price for everybody, believe it or not, just
- 7:25Speaker 1: having the logo on one side. So I'm trying my
- 7:29Speaker 1: best to get all the prices as low as I can.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I'm always looking on Pro Wrestling t's for those deals,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you know, free shipping or whatever. I'm subscribed, so I
- 7:40Speaker 1: like get all these texts throughout the day that they're
- 7:43Speaker 1: having like a deal maybe going on for like an hour,
- 7:46Speaker 1: or maybe a deal going on for the next like
- 7:48Speaker 1: twenty four hours. So gotta keep going on there checking
- 7:52Speaker 1: it out. But I think I have two. I have
- 7:55Speaker 1: a T shirt and I know we just sold another one. Lena,
- 8:01Speaker 1: a listener to the show, Lena bought a T shirt.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So nice. We did get, Yeah, we did get. They
- 8:11Speaker 1: didn't leave any but they did leave three people left
- 8:16Speaker 1: five star reviews, awesome things. Yeah, I didn't get the
- 8:21Speaker 1: list of them, but I did see that on Apple
- 8:24Speaker 1: we had three more, so I haven't been on there
- 8:27Speaker 1: in a long time. It's really hard to to get there.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I wish there was somewhere where I could go that
- 8:33Speaker 1: would tell us all of our ratings, because I know
- 8:35Speaker 1: people tell me they rate us on Spotify, and I
- 8:39Speaker 1: know there's people who listen to us on Pandora. Then
- 8:44Speaker 1: there's YouTube people who watch us on YouTube, even though
- 8:47Speaker 1: we're just an audio only podcast, but some people put
- 8:50Speaker 1: it on YouTube, put it on in the background. But yeah,
- 8:54Speaker 1: it's it'd be nice if we have one place where
- 8:56Speaker 1: gathered all the five star reviews. But I'm seeing them
- 9:01Speaker 1: as I'm going across the board, as i log into
- 9:03Speaker 1: some of these things and I'm checking out the numbers.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But uh, man, it's been a good year, though good year.
- 9:09Speaker 1: We put in like I had a Discord wrap up,
- 9:13Speaker 1: uh and it's said that me and Dre are like
- 9:15Speaker 1: best friends. It says it says we spent over forty
- 9:18Speaker 1: five hours talking to each other this year, and I
- 9:22Speaker 1: was I was thinking, like forty five hours. You know,
- 9:29Speaker 1: that must be when we switched over to recording on
- 9:31Speaker 1: Discord when Skype finally went because we used to record
- 9:35Speaker 1: on Skype. Yeah, exactly. So next year, if PCW is
- 9:41Speaker 1: still gone, which I assume, I would be really interested,
- 9:44Speaker 1: Dre to see what our wrap up is for the year.
- 9:46Speaker 1: For for that you know, how many hours did we
- 9:50Speaker 1: truly put in this year? Uh yeah, pumping in those hours.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Interesting to see you as far as you know, especially
- 10:00Speaker 3: you what the end at the end of twenty twenty six,
- 10:02Speaker 3: what if it totals up to after a full year's worth.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. And I had a few people tell us
- 10:09Speaker 1: that are telling me that we were on their Spotify
- 10:11Speaker 1: wrap up this year too, some friends. Dwayne Coleman of
- 10:15Speaker 1: the show, I think he brought that up to me.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It's it's cool knowing that that we're part of somebody's
- 10:22Speaker 1: Spotify wrap up for the year, regardless of what place
- 10:24Speaker 1: we're in, you know.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Uh well, if it is post it shared on your
- 10:29Speaker 3: social media's tag us.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 3: And we podcast Championship Wrestling tag us on Instagram.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And I think Apple also does like a wrap up
- 10:42Speaker 1: of the year and stuff, and it seems like that's
- 10:44Speaker 1: become a popular thing with social media. Certain Alice are
- 10:48Speaker 1: doing a wrap up of the year, you know of
- 10:51Speaker 1: like YouTube. I think did one maybe and I even
- 10:54Speaker 1: got wonder from my Fandango account, like how many movies
- 10:56Speaker 1: I watched this year and how much I streamed. I
- 10:59Speaker 1: was like, geez, it's like a report card, right, and
- 11:03Speaker 1: like I wonder if Xbox gess me one too, I think,
- 11:06Speaker 1: but I feel some type of way, like I don't
- 11:08Speaker 1: am I not my playing? Are you trying to tell
- 11:10Speaker 1: me I'm spending too much time on video games or
- 11:13Speaker 1: not enough time?
- 11:16Speaker 2: Uh?
- 11:17Speaker 1: Speaking of video games, I have been digging into two
- 11:20Speaker 1: K twenty six. I started playing the My Rise game
- 11:27Speaker 1: mode my creative player, but they they kind of like
- 11:31Speaker 1: force my hand. I got to create a female character
- 11:35Speaker 1: and then play as two characters, one on each show.
- 11:40Speaker 1: So I guess if you're one of Russell females, I
- 11:43Speaker 1: guess I have a female driven storyline. You have you
- 11:47Speaker 1: have to do both in My Rise unlocking characters. You know,
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm using those coins that they gave you to unlocked characters.
- 11:57Speaker 7: Uh.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Unfortunately, like there's a lot of characters I still want,
- 12:02Speaker 1: but I can't. I can't do it through the game.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I have to spend money, like real money. Brock Lessner
- 12:11Speaker 1: for example, I want I want brock Lessner in my game,
- 12:15Speaker 1: and it comes with Brock listeners in that that pack
- 12:20Speaker 1: with Ron Cena, which is our truth. That's John Cena,
- 12:24Speaker 1: and it's the John Cena Tribute Package. And of course
- 12:28Speaker 1: everything is on sale on Microsoft. Everything well that's where
- 12:32Speaker 1: I was getting from Microsoft. Everything's on sale and the
- 12:36Speaker 1: WW two case or accept the John Cena Tribute Package,
- 12:42Speaker 1: which that would be the one that would be on
- 12:45Speaker 1: sale and everything else would be a normal price. But
- 12:48Speaker 1: they're holding on. But I'm I'm not paying fifteen dollars, man, Okay,
- 12:53Speaker 1: I'm not paying fifteen dollars for DLC like that. I'm sorry.
- 12:59Speaker 1: And you guys playing eight.
- 13:00Speaker 2: To get that money off you somehow?
- 13:04Speaker 1: No, man, Yeah, yeah, I already got my money. I
- 13:08Speaker 1: bought the fucking game. That's that's enough. Uh, all right, Carlos,
- 13:13Speaker 1: are you playing two K at all? Anybody else play
- 13:15Speaker 1: it at all? Like any of the I know there's
- 13:18Speaker 1: like my Island version where you're like Samoan I fight
- 13:24Speaker 1: in the bloodline.
- 13:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I don't know what it is.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Nobody personally not playing. Carlos can tell us when he
- 13:37Speaker 3: takes himself off me. But I haven't played a wrestling
- 13:42Speaker 3: game in forever.
- 13:44Speaker 6: I haven't, like I have it downloaded because it came
- 13:48Speaker 6: with my uh A station subscription. But okay, no, they
- 13:53Speaker 6: just haven't. I haven't had the time to dig into it.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Yeah, ok, yeah, you know what they're like. I will say, guys,
- 14:02Speaker 1: like the actual gameplay itself really good. I I enjoy
- 14:05Speaker 1: it like I That's why I've been digging into it,
- 14:10Speaker 1: because I'm like thoroughly enjoying it. Actually, you know Tyler
- 14:16Speaker 1: Foster on the show, He's been over at my house
- 14:19Speaker 1: and he actually has a creative player. So right now
- 14:22Speaker 1: we're gonna I'll tell you this, guys. We have it
- 14:25Speaker 1: on hard. And the reason why I feel like, if
- 14:28Speaker 1: you can beat it on hard, then then you can
- 14:31Speaker 1: beat almost anybody who comes across you, right like any
- 14:35Speaker 1: like player. It'd be like and I like the challenge.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I like the chase man. So we entered the tag
- 14:42Speaker 1: team tournament and we got very far. We won the tournament,
- 14:47Speaker 1: we got our number one contender ship, and we won
- 14:49Speaker 1: for the tag titles and we lost Won't Won't Bomp.
- 14:57Speaker 6: But and it was a super Yeah, it was.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It was not hard, man. I think there's legendary after that.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I think there's a legendary after Heart, but I mean, ah, man,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about it. War Raiders, yeah, dude,
- 15:18Speaker 1: how'd you know?
- 15:22Speaker 6: I don't know. I just took a wild stab.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But that was a wild stab. That was great. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 1: the war Raiders. But like I think, yeah, dude, it
- 15:33Speaker 1: was over some over some shenanigans, you know, but not
- 15:38Speaker 1: not to say that, like the tag team tournament bracket
- 15:41Speaker 1: wasn't awesome. You know, we beat the likes of you know,
- 15:44Speaker 1: Caine and Undertaker and Shawn Michaels and Triple h you know,
- 15:51Speaker 1: the New Day and I can't remember who else we beat.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But like it was just it was a good tournament.
- 15:58Speaker 1: It got really far and then mm hmmm leg sweep
- 16:02Speaker 1: Russian leg. Sweet, we're done, Bob. The journey continues. It's
- 16:09Speaker 1: the chase man. So but that's it for my video
- 16:14Speaker 1: gaming wise. Uh, dre, what are you eating?
- 16:24Speaker 2: It's simple tonight, just some ramin.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And and nice not mixed together.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I hope, no, I'm not mixed together.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Hey man, he's their own. But whatever a man with
- 16:41Speaker 1: or without the crust?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Are you?
- 16:43Speaker 1: Were you one of those guys that it matters without.
- 16:45Speaker 3: The crust about the bread Yeah, what am I fucking
- 16:51Speaker 3: eight years old?
- 16:52Speaker 2: Of course I keep the crust on.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Hey man, they're killing the crust off of bread like
- 16:58Speaker 3: I'm some like I'm a kids.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I know, some grown ass man, some coworkers I'm on
- 17:03Speaker 1: who are out there eating uncrustables, you know, because they
- 17:06Speaker 1: they they don't want that crust. Every day man for years,
- 17:10Speaker 1: every day this man packs uncrustable. He refuses, refuses to
- 17:15Speaker 1: make the classic PBing J. All right, Carlos, what are
- 17:23Speaker 1: you man?
- 17:23Speaker 2: Are you?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Are you crust or no crust or sandwiches?
- 17:31Speaker 6: I've always had the crust. I don't think I've ever
- 17:35Speaker 6: been a no crust type of person.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Do you think like the no crust is a spec
- 17:41Speaker 1: like just for PB and J's or is that like
- 17:43Speaker 1: all sandwiches across the board. I don't know how those
- 17:46Speaker 1: people function, you know, is it like is it like
- 17:49Speaker 1: a silver is it like a gray area? You know, like, oh,
- 17:51Speaker 1: this is a tune of sandwich. He would keep the crust.
- 17:57Speaker 6: I don't know, since I've never eating in a sandwich
- 18:01Speaker 6: without a crust. I can't tell you if you're listening
- 18:03Speaker 6: to the show or why they would do that right.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Into us let us know, all right, I'm done. I'm done.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I'm done. It's right, all right, you canna have it, man,
- 18:15Speaker 1: take it, take it, take the show, all right.
- 18:22Speaker 3: So I guess we can start with this Saturday night
- 18:27Speaker 3: main event, which, like Wayne said, only four matches, and
- 18:33Speaker 3: obviously this was based around the idea that John Cena
- 18:40Speaker 3: had given that this was his retirement, that he wanted
- 18:43Speaker 3: to showcase the future of WWE.
- 18:47Speaker 2: So every match.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Featured a WWE superstar, veteran top main roster person taking
- 18:56Speaker 3: on n XT talent, basically the younger guys, the up
- 18:59Speaker 3: and comers. The first one on the docket featured our
- 19:07Speaker 3: WWE Champion Cadarius Raheem Rhodes taking on the NXT champion
- 19:14Speaker 3: of Oba Femi.
- 19:17Speaker 2: And this was.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Until the finish. I thought this was a good match.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Cody made Oba looked like a million bucks out there.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Obra pretty much played the power game, was pretty dominant
- 19:34Speaker 3: throughout most of the match. I mean Cody did get
- 19:36Speaker 3: his offense in here and there, but pretty much anytime
- 19:39Speaker 3: he started to get a run going, Oba had a
- 19:42Speaker 3: way to shut it down. That's how you make a
- 19:45Speaker 3: that's how you make your up and coming guy look good,
- 19:48Speaker 3: make it look strong, and then just as days guy
- 19:51Speaker 3: cooking in came Old Drew fuck it up, resulting in
- 19:55Speaker 3: a no contest or. I don't know, maybe Cody won
- 19:58Speaker 3: by this qualification or some bullsh but basically we did
- 20:01Speaker 3: not get a clean finish, which is pretty much what
- 20:03Speaker 3: I predicted in our pre prediction show was gonna happen.
- 20:11Speaker 3: So but overall, Oba looked great, over looked like a
- 20:15Speaker 3: million bucks. Cody made him look great, and this man.
- 20:21Speaker 3: If over don't get called up to the main roster
- 20:23Speaker 3: in twenty twenty six, then somebody's dropping the ball because
- 20:27Speaker 3: I didn't see anything in this match that said he
- 20:30Speaker 3: ain't made roster ready.
- 20:33Speaker 2: I think the audience and I know everybody I know.
- 20:41Speaker 3: The going plan is that probably gonna get Guns versus
- 20:44Speaker 3: Lesner at Wressell Media. Some people have speculated that we
- 20:47Speaker 3: might get Guns versus Lesner in Lesner's rumored retirement match,
- 20:52Speaker 3: which may come next year. That's all well and good,
- 20:55Speaker 3: and I'm not saying I don't want gunterro versus Lesner.
- 20:58Speaker 3: At some point, y'all can do that for WrestleMania. It's
- 21:03Speaker 3: the big show, get get the big names. Go through
- 21:06Speaker 3: Brock Lester, fine, but brock Lester's retirement match at this point,
- 21:11Speaker 3: whenever that happens, I want his opponent to be over
- 21:14Speaker 3: fem me.
- 21:16Speaker 2: That's my pick.
- 21:16Speaker 3: That's my choice because like I said, he's he's made
- 21:22Speaker 3: roster ready and ain't no point in keeping him around
- 21:25Speaker 3: on NXT anymore.
- 21:27Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on this? Wayne Man?
- 21:30Speaker 1: I do I like this match? Well? What part of
- 21:34Speaker 1: it that we had for for the opening match. It
- 21:37Speaker 1: was a smart move making this the opening match. The
- 21:41Speaker 1: rumors that were going around that we were gonna get
- 21:43Speaker 1: seen a first I was laughing at because it's like,
- 21:45Speaker 1: there's no fucking way, There's no way, Uh what a
- 21:51Speaker 1: better person on the NXT roster and over feed me
- 21:54Speaker 1: to to go against Cody, the the r that he
- 21:58Speaker 1: puts out when he comes out out, you know, I
- 22:02Speaker 1: I can totally see it catching on to the main roster.
- 22:07Speaker 1: You know, there's a lot of people who haven't seen
- 22:09Speaker 1: him before, who don't know understand the the entrance, you know,
- 22:15Speaker 1: the the singing along, the you know, the movements that
- 22:21Speaker 1: he puts out. You know, some of them aren't some
- 22:23Speaker 1: of us aren't ready for it. But I think this
- 22:25Speaker 1: is this is it right here, you're planting the seas Now,
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'm an Opafemi guy. Now, I'm like, who I want
- 22:31Speaker 1: to see where this guy goes, and I hope it's
- 22:32Speaker 1: to the main roster. I think this was a great
- 22:35Speaker 1: showing for him. He had a lot of great spots. Man,
- 22:40Speaker 1: the way he was handling Cody around that ring, the
- 22:43Speaker 1: way he tossed his ass over over that the announcer's table,
- 22:48Speaker 1: and he's a big guy to launch himself over that
- 22:50Speaker 1: table man, Uh, you know, and and taking that that
- 22:55Speaker 1: ring post spot when when Cody moving out of the
- 22:59Speaker 1: way like going like a damn freight train. We saw
- 23:04Speaker 1: Cody get his ear busted open at some point, I
- 23:07Speaker 1: don't know where when that happened. There there's a lot
- 23:11Speaker 1: of blood for that. Uh Drew Drew interfering. Yeah, we
- 23:17Speaker 1: all kind of saw that coming. Uh Again. My feelings
- 23:23Speaker 1: of Drew going for the the world title against Cody
- 23:27Speaker 1: again is just Drew being fed to Cody. Uh for
- 23:30Speaker 1: another l I hate it because I know that's what
- 23:33Speaker 1: we're gonna get. I mean, heel Drew has been championed
- 23:37Speaker 1: for all but five minutes. We haven't gotten a true
- 23:41Speaker 1: heel Drew McIntyre. Ww run a champion run. Uh. With
- 23:48Speaker 1: that said, I did see something that I was quite
- 23:54Speaker 1: interested in. I want to see Drew McIntyre and Obafemi
- 23:58Speaker 1: getting the ring together. That that piqued my interest a
- 24:02Speaker 1: little bit.
- 24:04Speaker 2: At some point.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, dude, for sure. For sure, And the seeds
- 24:08Speaker 1: are planted once Drew wraps up with Cody, I'd be
- 24:14Speaker 1: that'd be a great first you know, feud for him
- 24:17Speaker 1: to have if he comes to the main rosser him
- 24:20Speaker 1: and Drew right off the bat. I'm all for it, man. Uh,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you know, I I hope we see him in the rumble. Uh,
- 24:29Speaker 1: that'd be great if we're bringing anybody from NXT to
- 24:32Speaker 1: put in the Royal Rumble. Ob Femi for sure. You
- 24:38Speaker 1: know it's we just know how the process works. Like
- 24:42Speaker 1: the man's NXT champion right now, and that title has
- 24:47Speaker 1: to be handed down to the next guy before this
- 24:50Speaker 1: man goes to the main roster.
- 24:53Speaker 2: You know.
- 24:53Speaker 1: That's how I mean, it's just the.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Story how we're getting there.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, saying a lot of a lot of
- 25:01Speaker 3: us thought that was already gonna happen when he dropped
- 25:03Speaker 3: the title previously to Ricky Starks, right right, I'm sorry,
- 25:07Speaker 3: Ricky Saints. Right, we thought he was gonna get called
- 25:11Speaker 3: up then, but apparently not he because he came back
- 25:13Speaker 3: and immediately reclaimed the title.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Right, And you know what, Trey like, I hope he's
- 25:18Speaker 1: not like what we had with braun Breaker, where we
- 25:23Speaker 1: were like, oh yeah, bron should be called up, like
- 25:26Speaker 1: he's gonna probably be called like next week. Right. They
- 25:29Speaker 1: held on to Broun for for a long time down
- 25:31Speaker 1: in n XT before they finally let him go to
- 25:34Speaker 1: the main roster. And I hope this wasn't a tease.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I hope this wasn't a tease. I hope this was
- 25:39Speaker 1: a gateway, a gateway match to the main roster. Carlos,
- 25:45Speaker 1: let's get your heart opinion in on here.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:51Speaker 6: I thought this was a very good match for Obafemi.
- 25:57Speaker 6: I think this was not only like validation that he
- 26:03Speaker 6: deserves to be the NXT champion again right now, but
- 26:06Speaker 6: also any type of maybe doubt or maybe hesitant at
- 26:14Speaker 6: Hunter or somebody might have on bringing them up. I
- 26:17Speaker 6: think those might have been laid out quieted a little
- 26:21Speaker 6: bit more because he proved that he is, he's got
- 26:26Speaker 6: a good following, and that he can he can work,
- 26:31Speaker 6: so I like the match. This is one of the
- 26:34Speaker 6: few Cody Road matches I liked, and since he's had
- 26:40Speaker 6: a title reign, and I really can't say anything more
- 26:44Speaker 6: a match that you guys haven't touched over, but I
- 26:49Speaker 6: would like to say that it's kind of disappointing also
- 26:54Speaker 6: because it makes me realize that Trick Williams is kind
- 27:01Speaker 6: of like in between, like that I guess either he's
- 27:09Speaker 6: gonna be called up or he's not. He's kind of
- 27:11Speaker 6: been limbo, like is he going to be called up?
- 27:13Speaker 6: And then he goes to TNA and then he goes
- 27:15Speaker 6: back to NXT. So I don't know when they plan
- 27:18Speaker 6: on dudes and something, but I like Trick to be
- 27:21Speaker 6: able to come up first before anything with Opa Femi
- 27:24Speaker 6: gets done.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Well on that subject, since you did break up Trick Williams,
- 27:29Speaker 3: and that is a valid point that yet always getting
- 27:32Speaker 3: all this shine and Trick is kind of getting lost
- 27:34Speaker 3: in the sauce right now, which is kind of weird
- 27:37Speaker 3: because I think Trick was one of those guys that
- 27:39Speaker 3: we thought was gonna get called up. I think earlier
- 27:42Speaker 3: this year, like at the beginning of this year, some
- 27:43Speaker 3: of us are predicted that, like Yo, Trick Williams is
- 27:46Speaker 3: gonna get that main roster call up in twenty twenty five,
- 27:49Speaker 3: and clearly it didn't happen. But I have seen rumors
- 27:53Speaker 3: floating around on social media today from some wrestling out
- 27:59Speaker 3: lists that apparently Trick Williams is rumored to be one
- 28:03Speaker 3: of those guys that's going to get a call up
- 28:06Speaker 3: to Raw or SmackDown in the beginning of twenty twenty six.
- 28:09Speaker 3: So hopefully though that is those it is true and
- 28:16Speaker 3: not just rumor. Hopefully that does come to pass, whether
- 28:19Speaker 3: it's whether he makes a debut on you know, maybe
- 28:24Speaker 3: the Raw premiere, I mean not the Raw premiere the
- 28:27Speaker 3: beginning of the year, Yeah, yeah, the Netflix one year
- 28:30Speaker 3: at the beginning. Maybe he makes an appearance then and
- 28:32Speaker 3: he's called up or something. But if that is the case,
- 28:36Speaker 3: I hope they do call him up sooner rather than later,
- 28:41Speaker 3: especially to kick off. That'd be a nice way to
- 28:42Speaker 3: kick off the year with everything else that got going
- 28:45Speaker 3: on with Raw, which I'm we know that they're trying
- 28:47Speaker 3: to make this a big show obviously for the one year.
- 28:51Speaker 3: That wouldn't be a bad thing to do, you know,
- 28:54Speaker 3: a Trick Williams call up this guy with a main
- 28:56Speaker 3: roster debut. Let him get some momentum going into the
- 29:00Speaker 3: Rumble or something. I'm not opposed to that. I'd rather
- 29:04Speaker 3: than do it, you know, before WrestleMania than after, especially
- 29:08Speaker 3: if he's a talent that they have some plans for
- 29:13Speaker 3: and he's not just like, all right, you're on the
- 29:15Speaker 3: main roster. Now, we'll figure it out. So if it
- 29:22Speaker 3: was up to me, I would like to see him,
- 29:24Speaker 3: you know, come up at the beginning of the year
- 29:26Speaker 3: and see some see some action building up to WrestleMania Weekend,
- 29:33Speaker 3: rather than being one of those post WrestleMania debuts. If
- 29:37Speaker 3: anybody's gonna come to the main roster post WrestleMania, I
- 29:40Speaker 3: can see that being OBA. I could see him staying
- 29:43Speaker 3: on you know, Netflix. I'm not on the NXT through
- 29:47Speaker 3: WrestleMania through Stand and Deliver, which that is h NXTS
- 29:54Speaker 3: WrestleMania Weekend pl E pay per view right Stand and Deliver. Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 3: I can see him staying at least through then. Maybe
- 30:04Speaker 3: he remains champion through then drops the title at Stand
- 30:06Speaker 3: and Delivered to whoever Tony DiAngelo, Ricky Saints, or whoever
- 30:12Speaker 3: they think is their next top male star.
- 30:16Speaker 2: He drops it.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Then Postmania Rawer SmackDown, Oba makes his main roster debut,
- 30:24Speaker 3: and then we're off to the racers from there.
- 30:31Speaker 6: All right, do you think that he's a Raw talent
- 30:34Speaker 6: and that like a SmackDown type of guy?
- 30:39Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I think I would say it probably depends on where
- 30:42Speaker 3: Trick Williams goes. I think whatever show Trick ends up on,
- 30:46Speaker 3: I could see Oba ending up on the other show.
- 30:50Speaker 3: If I had to guess, I would say Oba probably
- 30:55Speaker 3: would be a SmackDown talent given what we just saw
- 30:58Speaker 3: on main event with him having the match with Cody
- 31:02Speaker 3: and then getting mixed up with Drew, and obviously both
- 31:05Speaker 3: of them are currently on SmackDown, So barring any roster
- 31:09Speaker 3: change ups, I could see probably Ova being on SmackDown,
- 31:14Speaker 3: and I could definitely see Trick debuting on Raw.
- 31:21Speaker 6: Okay, Wayne, what do you think?
- 31:29Speaker 1: You know what? At the way pro wrestling has gotten
- 31:33Speaker 1: over the years, it's hard to say like what roster
- 31:37Speaker 1: some wrestlers are going to be going to because it's
- 31:38Speaker 1: where the character fits, where it's where they can be
- 31:41Speaker 1: properly written into in the story. And you know, we
- 31:47Speaker 1: I think Rumble, we get like you know some of these,
- 31:50Speaker 1: you know, it feels at the crowd like, oh, we
- 31:52Speaker 1: want to see this, you know, and see you guys.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Remember I can't remember what year it was Keith Lee
- 32:00Speaker 1: getting into the ring with brock Lessner at the Rumble.
- 32:04Speaker 1: You know, we never got there, but the tease of
- 32:08Speaker 1: it was, it was fucking delicious, man, The idea of
- 32:13Speaker 1: Keith Lee and brock Lessner going at it head to
- 32:16Speaker 1: head at the time Keith Lee was you know, I
- 32:19Speaker 1: think North American and NXT champion. You know, we given
- 32:25Speaker 1: certain contract reasons and and brock not being there and
- 32:29Speaker 1: Keith Lee getting let go, we just never we just
- 32:31Speaker 1: never got it. We never got to that.
- 32:33Speaker 8: But terrible booking, terrible fucking booking of such a dropping momentum.
- 32:40Speaker 1: He had so much fucking momentum, man, so much.
- 32:44Speaker 2: And you're a bear cat, right right.
- 32:49Speaker 1: So like you know when that's what I mean, like
- 32:51Speaker 1: when we get to the Rumble, we get little teases
- 32:54Speaker 1: of something we could possibly beginning in the future. And
- 32:56Speaker 1: I think that's that's what I hope we get and
- 32:59Speaker 1: maybe he's he shows up in the Rumble and we
- 33:02Speaker 1: see him get face to face with certain wrestlers on
- 33:04Speaker 1: the main roster and get that that feel. You know,
- 33:07Speaker 1: I don't know who who yet, but like I feel
- 33:10Speaker 1: like we'd find out once he's in that ring mixing
- 33:13Speaker 1: up with some other main roster guys. But yeah, act time.
- 33:22Speaker 3: After the showing he just had on main event, they'd
- 33:24Speaker 3: be foolish not to put him in the rumble.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Right right, And.
- 33:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I think he's going to be in the rumble.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, h yeah, I could see. I would definitely
- 33:40Speaker 3: love to see him both in there. Like I saying,
- 33:42Speaker 3: if Oba is in the rumble, given what we've already gotten,
- 33:45Speaker 3: I would expect him to mix it up, presumably with
- 33:49Speaker 3: Drew McIntyre if Drew's in there.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Yeah, at least with Drew.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Obviously with other people as well, but I would least
- 33:56Speaker 3: expect them, expect those two to come face to face
- 33:59Speaker 3: again in that match. Yeah, and they could tease plenty
- 34:04Speaker 3: of other things. I mean, they can tease Gunter and Oba,
- 34:09Speaker 3: they could tease practically, think any big man mm hmm,
- 34:16Speaker 3: even something as simple as like a Shamous and Obo
- 34:18Speaker 3: stare down would get a reaction probably out of the crowd.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, he's a big man, you know.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, but obviously the biggest ones, The biggest
- 34:31Speaker 3: pops would come from him potentially mixing it up with
- 34:33Speaker 3: the big names, him getting face to face with a Gunter,
- 34:36Speaker 3: or him getting face to face with the Roman reigns,
- 34:39Speaker 3: or getting face to face Withdrew.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Like, especially like him in Roman Like. Imagine that stare down.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Mhm, yeah, I would. Uh, I'd be pretty damn excited. Better,
- 34:54Speaker 1: hurry up, get to get get this man to the
- 34:58Speaker 1: main roster. Let's get him into this some of these
- 35:00Speaker 1: matches before some of these guys are gone.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Got time.
- 35:08Speaker 6: Yeah, it don't need the rest of the time, especially
- 35:12Speaker 6: with the way he was getting the reception he was getting,
- 35:15Speaker 6: you want to make sure it's done right because anything
- 35:19Speaker 6: any little miss step or anything that you can cause
- 35:22Speaker 6: to ruin any type of momentum he's building, we'll end
- 35:27Speaker 6: up setting them back. I think.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Yeah, somebody like Oba, Yeah, we're all ishing to see
- 35:34Speaker 3: him on the main roster, but like you said, they
- 35:36Speaker 3: definitely need to take their time.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Yeah, some people wait too fu Yeah.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Well, yeah, they don't have to push him out to
- 35:45Speaker 3: like twenty twenty seven, because I do think he should
- 35:47Speaker 3: come on the main roster this year. But again, if
- 35:52Speaker 3: if I was working the timetable, I would debut him
- 35:56Speaker 3: on the main roster Postmania. He doesn't have to be
- 35:59Speaker 3: on the AE roster to be in the rumble. I
- 36:02Speaker 3: was like, we all know NXT guys should show up
- 36:04Speaker 3: in the rumble, So he can show up in the rumble.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Let him get some of those, Let him mix it
- 36:10Speaker 3: up with the guys. Let him, you know, have a
- 36:12Speaker 3: pretty strong showing, eliminate a number of people, get some
- 36:15Speaker 3: stare downs, or maybe a few exchanges or at least
- 36:19Speaker 3: teases of some exchanges with some of those big name guys,
- 36:22Speaker 3: like again like a gun to Roman Drew, and then
- 36:25Speaker 3: at some point he gets eliminated. Like I would say,
- 36:32Speaker 3: if they want to really push the envelope, you could
- 36:34Speaker 3: have him make it to the final four. Although I
- 36:36Speaker 3: doubt that highly, but I could see him maybe one
- 36:41Speaker 3: of the last six in the match. I think that
- 36:45Speaker 3: would be a strong enough showing for him. If say
- 36:49Speaker 3: he he debuts somewhere in the twenties, in like the
- 36:53Speaker 3: early twenties, and then he's one of the last six.
- 36:56Speaker 3: I think that would and he gets some eliminations in between.
- 36:58Speaker 3: I think that would make for a strong showing. And
- 37:00Speaker 3: then from there he can go back to n XT,
- 37:02Speaker 3: wrap up his business there through standard delivering WrestleMania, then
- 37:07Speaker 3: bring them all to the main roster and whatever for him.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Give him some matches first major feud, but the main
- 37:17Speaker 3: bullet points for me would be strong showing in the Rumble,
- 37:21Speaker 3: debut after WrestleMania, rock Lesner's last opponent at SummerSlam. Let
- 37:27Speaker 3: him retire rock Lester if he can. If he can
- 37:30Speaker 3: accomplish those three things in this year, I think that
- 37:33Speaker 3: would make for a successful twenty twenty six for Oba
- 37:36Speaker 3: and maybe finish up the year maybe with the US
- 37:39Speaker 3: or Intercontinental title run or title reign.
- 37:46Speaker 2: I think that would make for a strong debut year
- 37:49Speaker 2: on the main roster for him.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see how they book him.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Yep hery.
- 38:01Speaker 3: So next match after this we switched over to the ladies.
- 38:08Speaker 3: We have a Ley facing NXT's Soul Ruka. Went on
- 38:15Speaker 3: one match and if you thought Cody made Oba look
- 38:23Speaker 3: great in that first match, Bailey worked her absolute tail
- 38:29Speaker 3: off and made soul Ruka look like a million bucks.
- 38:35Speaker 3: And that's that's not to take anything away from Soul like.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Soul Ruka looked excellent in this match too. She again
- 38:42Speaker 3: another one looks Maine roster ready. Well, I won't say
- 38:45Speaker 3: that fully, but I still think she could use a
- 38:48Speaker 3: still a little bit more time on NXT, but she's
- 38:54Speaker 3: definitely shown shows that potential. You can see it like
- 38:58Speaker 3: she can mix it up. She get in there with
- 39:01Speaker 3: a veteran like Bailey. You know, like how you know
- 39:04Speaker 3: some people have said in the past that like Miss
- 39:07Speaker 3: as far as the men's wrestlers, like the litmus test
- 39:09Speaker 3: for wrestlers to see if they've got it what it
- 39:11Speaker 3: takes where they like somebody that's like a newcomer or
- 39:15Speaker 3: an up and comer, they put them in a match
- 39:17Speaker 3: with the Mizz and see can they hang. And it's like,
- 39:19Speaker 3: if you can't have a good match with the Miss,
- 39:21Speaker 3: then you ain't it. If you can have a good
- 39:23Speaker 3: match with the Miss, then you've got something. Bailey is
- 39:26Speaker 3: kind of like that same thing with the women. She
- 39:30Speaker 3: liked the litmus test for the women. You have a
- 39:33Speaker 3: match with Bailey. If you can't have a good match
- 39:35Speaker 3: with Bailey, you need to go back, go back to class.
- 39:40Speaker 3: You need a little bit more more time, a little
- 39:42Speaker 3: bit more practice. And clearly with Soaul Ruka that was
- 39:46Speaker 3: not the case in this match. Their match was seamless.
- 39:51Speaker 3: I don't I can't recall any noteworthy mistakes or botches
- 39:54Speaker 3: that occurred in the match.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Again, Bailey made her look like a million bucks.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Even went so far as putting soul Ruka over soul
- 40:05Speaker 3: Ruka getting the pin yeah, over Bailey on a on
- 40:09Speaker 3: a on a counter roll up after Bailey kind of
- 40:13Speaker 3: try to out smarter a little bit after soul Ruka
- 40:15Speaker 3: hit the best finisher in the women's wrestling today, the
- 40:20Speaker 3: soul Snatcher hits that doesn't get the pin Bailey just
- 40:26Speaker 3: soul Ruker tries to pull her back in, Bailey snatches
- 40:30Speaker 3: her up for for a pin fall, soul Ruker reverses
- 40:33Speaker 3: it for the three like great, great, great finish, great match,
- 40:38Speaker 3: and then obviously obviously Bailey gives her, you know, her
- 40:42Speaker 3: credit afterwards.
- 40:45Speaker 2: So yeah, this one, mm hmm.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I would say you make a great point though, when
- 40:52Speaker 1: you say like she's a great you know, like just
- 40:57Speaker 1: like she's Bailey is with comparing her to the is
- 41:00Speaker 1: you know, having.
- 41:01Speaker 2: A litmus test thing.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, I think it's absolutely true, because if you
- 41:05Speaker 1: can't have a master with Bailey, then yeah, maybe you
- 41:08Speaker 1: need to go back to NXT because I mean beautiful match, dude,
- 41:13Speaker 1: absolutely do we we have a couple of wrestlers like
- 41:18Speaker 1: that where I mean, I believe Dolph Zigler almost felt
- 41:22Speaker 1: like that type of guy as well. A lot of
- 41:25Speaker 1: new guys would always come up to the roster as
- 41:27Speaker 1: a main roster. It's like, oh, you gotta have a
- 41:29Speaker 1: master with Dolf Zigler, you know, first thing?
- 41:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly. Dolf was one of those as well.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Plus Dolphin was one of those guys who could sell
- 41:41Speaker 3: for anybody, right, Yeah, make a guy look.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Like a million bucks, just sell it for him.
- 41:45Speaker 3: So if you had like a big guy that you
- 41:48Speaker 3: were gonna push really hard and you wanted to make
- 41:49Speaker 3: them look strong, yeah, put them in a match with
- 41:51Speaker 3: Dolf Zigler. He'll sell everything for them, make him look
- 41:54Speaker 3: like a million bucks. Bailey is a little bit different because,
- 41:58Speaker 3: like it's it's not so much that she's selling for
- 42:02Speaker 3: the for the opponent to make them look great. She's
- 42:07Speaker 3: testing them in the ring. You know, can you keep
- 42:10Speaker 3: up with the pace? Can you can you you know,
- 42:13Speaker 3: can you stitch one move together with the next one?
- 42:17Speaker 3: Where's your ring awareness? Where's your ring generalship? Can you
- 42:21Speaker 3: you know? Can you put on a competent, good quality
- 42:25Speaker 3: match on the level that it needs to be at
- 42:28Speaker 3: to be on the main roster, and if you can,
- 42:32Speaker 3: it'll show. If you cannot, it will show. And in
- 42:38Speaker 3: this match, it definitely showed that so Ruka one can.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I mean she has some really she has some really
- 42:45Speaker 3: dope spots in this match, Like even at the beginning
- 42:47Speaker 3: where they had a little bit of chain wrestling back
- 42:48Speaker 3: and forth seamless one part off the rope where I
- 42:52Speaker 3: think I forgot what move Bailey went for, but so
- 42:56Speaker 3: Ruka counted it by walking on her hands and then
- 43:00Speaker 3: came back to catch Bailey with her legs for a
- 43:05Speaker 3: head scissor takedown, like come on, like again not saying
- 43:12Speaker 3: that sol Ruka is Maine roster ready, I do still
- 43:15Speaker 3: think she needs a little bit more time in NXC
- 43:18Speaker 3: before getting called up. But if she gets called up
- 43:21Speaker 3: in twenty twenty six, I would not be mad, and
- 43:23Speaker 3: I think she could she could fit right in seamlessly
- 43:30Speaker 3: where you at Carlos hop in here.
- 43:35Speaker 6: I agree with mostly everything you said there. I think
- 43:41Speaker 6: if sol Ruka does end up debuting, it'll probably have
- 43:46Speaker 6: to be maybe they have it be just like how
- 43:51Speaker 6: we're saying with Oba debuting after WrestleMania or after Standing Deliver,
- 43:56Speaker 6: because I think they still need to finish off whatever
- 44:00Speaker 6: they're doing between Isizzaria Zaiah. Yeah, whatever, like tension or
- 44:08Speaker 6: you know, like except like breakup that they're doing with
- 44:12Speaker 6: or kind of like laying the bread or foundation for
- 44:15Speaker 6: you know. So I think that needs to be taken
- 44:18Speaker 6: care of before, like storyline wise, because I don't think
- 44:21Speaker 6: there's anything else so Ruka has going on in there
- 44:29Speaker 6: as far as storyline wise, I think that's the like
- 44:32Speaker 6: where the only thread that remains this match is concerned.
- 44:38Speaker 6: She did a very good job, uh maybe get a
- 44:42Speaker 6: little bit more crisper or more comfortable on performing some
- 44:47Speaker 6: of her moves a little bit quicker or more smoother,
- 44:52Speaker 6: so it doesn't look like because there were times and
- 44:56Speaker 6: a couple of spots where really had a wait for
- 44:59Speaker 6: her or to be comfortable to either do the soul
- 45:03Speaker 6: snatcher where or other like high spot kind of moves.
- 45:09Speaker 6: And I don't know if anyone else noticed that, but
- 45:12Speaker 6: it's if you're gonna be, you're ahead.
- 45:16Speaker 3: It was like, yeah, you are right about that, because
- 45:17Speaker 3: now that you mentioned it wasn't the souls Matt snatcher
- 45:20Speaker 3: was pretty seamless. But there was a spot I think
- 45:22Speaker 3: later on in the match where she did ah she
- 45:26Speaker 3: walked the top rope and then turned into.
- 45:28Speaker 2: A DDT or something like that.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a time where Bailey was just sitting there,
- 45:32Speaker 3: hunched over and looking back, like just waiting for like
- 45:36Speaker 3: seemed like an eternity, even though it was a couple
- 45:38Speaker 3: of seconds. But you know, like you said, in a
- 45:41Speaker 3: wrestling match, those few seconds really stand.
- 45:45Speaker 6: Out, right, Yeah, Especially, it's like we're living in an
- 45:50Speaker 6: age now where you need constant attention. Like you know,
- 45:55Speaker 6: sometimes people are looking at their phones in the movie theater.
- 45:59Speaker 6: It's because they need something if they think like the
- 46:01Speaker 6: movie's boring or something like that. Then we need something
- 46:05Speaker 6: that's always keeping this busy. So you can't have anyone
- 46:09Speaker 6: look away even for a second, because you know, you
- 46:13Speaker 6: need to always constantly have their eyes on the screen
- 46:17Speaker 6: or eyes on the match. Girls, they'll miss whatever they're
- 46:20Speaker 6: supposed to pop for or something, you know. But other
- 46:24Speaker 6: than that, it's like she seems like she is main
- 46:28Speaker 6: roster ready. I don't see when they'll be able to
- 46:33Speaker 6: bring her up because I think that storyline, like I mentioned,
- 46:35Speaker 6: has to be cleaned up. But it's going to be
- 46:38Speaker 6: interesting to get these women do here. It seemed for
- 46:42Speaker 6: a while that we weren't going to have any like
- 46:44Speaker 6: influx of younger women, and we were always going to
- 46:49Speaker 6: be talking about the four horse women, and now that
- 46:51Speaker 6: Alexa Bliss came back, you know, on an Alexa. But
- 46:55Speaker 6: it seems now that we're we finally some of them
- 47:00Speaker 6: are finally entering the call and stepping up and progressing there.
- 47:05Speaker 6: So we'll get a little bit of rejuvenation with the
- 47:08Speaker 6: women's division, either I'm row or SmackDown.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and she's probably a shoe in for the rumble
- 47:15Speaker 3: this year, don't ye Ka.
- 47:18Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely, and they'll probably have her try to take
- 47:22Speaker 6: over that Kofee spot. If not her, maybe Kloonnie if
- 47:26Speaker 6: they give and get Colonie Jordan up for that too.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:30Speaker 3: I definitely so getting doing that stuff like that, like
- 47:34Speaker 3: like Kofe. Speaking speaking of the women's Rumble, I've been
- 47:42Speaker 3: wanting to bring this up for a while now. This
- 47:48Speaker 3: next this Royald Rumble for the women in twenty twenty
- 47:51Speaker 3: six is potentially going to be dag Stag I think
- 48:02Speaker 3: about it. So, assuming that the two champions right now
- 48:06Speaker 3: remain champion going into the rubble. That's Stephanie Vaquer and
- 48:12Speaker 3: Jade Cargill. This is who we potentially have. This is
- 48:16Speaker 3: who we could all have in the women's Royal Rumble.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, aj Lee, Nikki Bela Bailey, bioncle
- 48:30Speaker 3: Bell there if she's preserably healthy, Alexa Bliss, a soul Ruka. Yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 3: like just those names alone, just that level of talent alone.
- 48:43Speaker 3: And I know I'm forgetting Tiffany Stratton, drags Lash legend,
- 48:50Speaker 3: Chelsea Green.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Yeah. This is the health.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Of Oscar, the healthiest we've had, the.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Healthiest that the women's roster has been in a long time.
- 49:06Speaker 3: And we're gonna have potentially all of these women in
- 49:09Speaker 3: the rumble.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Yeah, and you still have Morgan Rock San Perez legends
- 49:17Speaker 1: that you still have healthy legends that could show up,
- 49:20Speaker 1: you know, healthy wrestlers, like.
- 49:23Speaker 2: You should have a trist stratus show up exactly. You
- 49:25Speaker 2: could have a lead to pop.
- 49:26Speaker 8: Up like no man, Yeah, the Victoria Yeah, yeah, of
- 49:33Speaker 8: Victoria Lyra.
- 49:37Speaker 3: I mean, like the roster right now is probably about
- 49:41Speaker 3: as strong as it's been, which leads leads credence to
- 49:45Speaker 3: you know, the fact that soul Roka does not need
- 49:47Speaker 3: to be called up right now, aside from the fact that,
- 49:49Speaker 3: like you said, uh, Carlos, that she does still have
- 49:53Speaker 3: unfinished business in NXT. But she's still probably going to
- 49:57Speaker 3: be in that rumble and should have a fairly strong showing.
- 50:00Speaker 3: But man, it's gonna be some competition in that role.
- 50:03Speaker 2: It's good. I don't know who the hell's going who
- 50:05Speaker 2: they're gonna pick the win.
- 50:07Speaker 3: You know, at least were talking about we can talk
- 50:09Speaker 3: about that when it gets closer to the right now
- 50:13Speaker 3: there there ain't no obvious choice.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and there's enough. There's enough women's titles now, you
- 50:20Speaker 1: know in the business that her coming up, like she
- 50:24Speaker 1: could go for an Icy title or United States title,
- 50:28Speaker 1: you know, getting world title.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Uh as a rumble winner.
- 50:33Speaker 1: No no, no, no, not as a rumble winner. I mean
- 50:35Speaker 1: just coming up in the like, there's just so much opportunity.
- 50:40Speaker 1: You know, before it was there was only you know,
- 50:43Speaker 1: two titles to chase. But now when we talked to
- 50:47Speaker 1: that last episode that the tag team division is stacked
- 50:50Speaker 1: and it hasn't been like that in a while. It
- 50:53Speaker 1: wasn't like that in the beginning of the year. We
- 50:55Speaker 1: were not talking about the women's tag team titles, you know,
- 51:00Speaker 1: in a very positive way at the beginning of the year.
- 51:02Speaker 1: But we said we needed more tag teams, and that's
- 51:05Speaker 1: what we got. We got it, and now we we
- 51:09Speaker 1: have more titles and more opportunity for for the women.
- 51:14Speaker 1: So somebody like Solver could could fucking shine on the
- 51:18Speaker 1: main roster. I definitely see her holding the ICY title
- 51:21Speaker 1: for sure. She seems like an Icy title for sure.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Yeah, she could.
- 51:28Speaker 3: She could hold any belt really, yeah, I could see
- 51:32Speaker 3: her with I mean she they may hold her off
- 51:35Speaker 3: down in next t for a while. She may get
- 51:37Speaker 3: a run as the XT Women's champion in space for
- 51:40Speaker 3: her to do that there.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, she was. She was great in this match,
- 51:44Speaker 1: Like that handspring that she does that she goes up
- 51:48Speaker 1: over and clears that top rope, man, Like, I just
- 51:51Speaker 1: think it's it's awesome what any any wrestler can do that,
- 51:54Speaker 1: like of any size that you can clear that top rope,
- 51:58Speaker 1: Like think about it, man, Like dre think about you
- 52:00Speaker 1: and you're like whatever you feel like your prime was
- 52:04Speaker 1: right And I don't care if it's like fucking high
- 52:07Speaker 1: school or last week, Like, dude, at your best do
- 52:10Speaker 1: you think you could like jump over that and clear that.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I don't think I could do it.
- 52:14Speaker 3: I'm five to three. I'm not clearing that ship. On
- 52:18Speaker 3: my best day, I'm hitting the ropes like ray mystereo, Yeah, Franky,
- 52:21Speaker 3: bounce them off that middle rope.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Damn, Like I just think and then like not just
- 52:25Speaker 1: you know a lot of people forget like how far
- 52:28Speaker 1: away the ring is to the ground when you're jumping
- 52:31Speaker 1: off that top rope and you gotta land on the ground. Sometimes,
- 52:34Speaker 1: you know, there's not somebody that would always catch you Undertaker.
- 52:38Speaker 1: You know, cameraman caught the Undertaker one time he cleared
- 52:42Speaker 1: that top rope.
- 52:43Speaker 2: But did that he was supposed to?
- 52:48Speaker 1: No, he did not. The camera caught him. Uh yeah.
- 52:53Speaker 1: And then and then you were talking about that DDT
- 52:55Speaker 1: spot on the rope, the top rope that was that
- 52:59Speaker 1: was awesome.
- 53:01Speaker 3: They totally she counted she counted the rose planet with
- 53:04Speaker 3: a with a front flip or a cartwheel.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Like there was.
- 53:09Speaker 3: So many moments in this match where soul rukers, athleticism shine.
- 53:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:15Speaker 1: And and while we were watching the match, because I
- 53:18Speaker 1: have a couple of people over, you know, in the
- 53:20Speaker 1: middle of the match, I'm like, oh, man, you guys
- 53:22Speaker 1: gotta see her finisher, the soul Snatcher, Like it's fucking awesome.
- 53:26Speaker 1: And then you know, you kind of get the feel
- 53:27Speaker 1: when she's setting up for it, but sometimes it kind
- 53:30Speaker 1: of just comes out of nowhere. But I was like, oh,
- 53:33Speaker 1: here it comes here, it comes like oh. I was like, oh,
- 53:35Speaker 1: they got to show it again because it's so It's
- 53:37Speaker 1: so cool, man. It just happened so fast, and I
- 53:41Speaker 1: was like, oh, even in my two K game, that's
- 53:43Speaker 1: like my one of my finishers, this is the soul Snatcher.
- 53:47Speaker 1: It's hard to pull off, but uh dude. For the
- 53:51Speaker 1: second match of the night, I was like, oh, hell yeah,
- 53:54Speaker 1: Like we're doing good. There's two for two. All right,
- 53:58Speaker 1: give me another good match, you know. Like I was
- 54:02Speaker 1: considering the last few pay per views we've been having,
- 54:06Speaker 1: I think we got the right uh, the right NXT
- 54:08Speaker 1: guys on this on this p l E.
- 54:12Speaker 3: So yeah, they definitely, they definitely did well in terms
- 54:16Speaker 3: of who they chose to showcase and yes, which if
- 54:21Speaker 3: we're done here, that takes us to the third match,
- 54:25Speaker 3: which was.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Aj Styles and Dragon.
- 54:30Speaker 3: Lee, the World Tag Team Champions, facing the team of
- 54:36Speaker 3: nxt s Javon Evans and in an unprecedented move, his
- 54:43Speaker 3: homeboy from TNA, and I'm blanking on his name right now.
- 54:49Speaker 1: On Evans and Leon.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Slater, Leon, Yeah, God damn it, Yeah, Leon Slater Slater.
- 54:58Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 54:59Speaker 3: That's why I was blanking on his Yeah, the TNA
- 55:03Speaker 3: X Division champion, Leon Slater. And you want to talk
- 55:09Speaker 3: about a match that did not stop from the moment
- 55:14Speaker 3: the bell rung. These dudes straight came out the gate,
- 55:20Speaker 3: full speed, one hundred miles and running and did not
- 55:27Speaker 3: let up. And kind of sadly this match was only
- 55:32Speaker 3: like eight or nine minutes, but they.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Packed a lot into those eight or nine minutes.
- 55:40Speaker 3: I mean, like I said, just one move after the other,
- 55:45Speaker 3: high flying moves after the other other. It was you
- 55:49Speaker 3: almost ran it. You would run out of breath just
- 55:51Speaker 3: watching them in the match. That's what it felt like.
- 55:56Speaker 3: And you, if this is what you wanted to show
- 55:59Speaker 3: case for the tag teams, couldn't have picked better, couldn't
- 56:03Speaker 3: have picked the worst team. Even the one mistake that
- 56:07Speaker 3: happened in the match where aj Styles went for the
- 56:09Speaker 3: phenomenal forearm.
- 56:12Speaker 1: They.
- 56:14Speaker 3: They played it off so well you almost questioned whether
- 56:17Speaker 3: it was a real botch, or if AJ did it
- 56:20Speaker 3: on purpose as part of the flow of the match. One,
- 56:23Speaker 3: because AJ's just that damn good that he can. He
- 56:26Speaker 3: can deliberately quote unquote botch and it's just him doing
- 56:30Speaker 3: a movie and he's so good he makes it look
- 56:32Speaker 3: like a botch. But assuming that it was an actual
- 56:36Speaker 3: slip of the ropes, you know, the ropes may have
- 56:37Speaker 3: been sweaty or whatever. Shout out to Leon Slater because
- 56:41Speaker 3: he immediately reacted like he didn't sit there and look like,
- 56:44Speaker 3: oh shit, he crashed.
- 56:46Speaker 2: What do I do?
- 56:47Speaker 3: Nope, Leon Slater immediately hopped on went for the pen.
- 56:51Speaker 3: Excellent ring psychology. Excellent ring psychology. That's a natural reaction
- 56:56Speaker 3: of what you would do. Oh just dude, just crashed
- 56:59Speaker 3: and off the rope. Let me see if I can
- 57:01Speaker 3: get a quick pin and shout out to way Bear too,
- 57:05Speaker 3: or commenting on that and highlighting that the people at
- 57:09Speaker 3: home so that they're not focused on Oh well man,
- 57:12Speaker 3: he just watched. Nope, you explain it away in a
- 57:14Speaker 3: logical way that makes sense. So shout out to everybody
- 57:17Speaker 3: involved in that moment, because that was everybody being on
- 57:24Speaker 3: the same page and reacting quickly to cover up what
- 57:31Speaker 3: could have been a real sore thumb moment. But like
- 57:37Speaker 3: I said, other than that, everything about the match was frantic,
- 57:43Speaker 3: kinetic and great for what it was. I almost wish
- 57:50Speaker 3: it could have gone longer, But those guys might have
- 57:53Speaker 3: ran out of breath if it had gone on any longer.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Where you at on this one, Wayne, Dude?
- 58:00Speaker 1: Right right? You're absolutely right, man, like a bowl right
- 58:03Speaker 1: out the fucking gate. These guys are going one hundred
- 58:06Speaker 1: miles an hour, I mean so fast. I think that's
- 58:08Speaker 1: what we both of us said in the discord, is like,
- 58:11Speaker 1: oh man, these guys are going one hundred miles an hour.
- 58:15Speaker 1: They they definitely kind of said to aj Styles, like, look,
- 58:19Speaker 1: let us do all the flips and crazy jumps and
- 58:22Speaker 1: stuff and give you guys, give you the night off,
- 58:25Speaker 1: you know, because I mean Age of Styles is having
- 58:28Speaker 1: I think some of his best matches this year. You know,
- 58:31Speaker 1: he's in the tag division.
- 58:34Speaker 2: He's done.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Dare I say it? Phenomenal? I think this was a
- 58:42Speaker 1: great match. I I don't know these two wrestlers very well.
- 58:47Speaker 2: But on a show.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Now, how about these two guys coming to the to
- 58:57Speaker 1: the main roster, I mean the idea of possibly let's
- 59:00Speaker 1: make these guys attack team.
- 59:03Speaker 2: It's way well as far as that goes, it's way
- 59:06Speaker 2: too soon.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's way too soon. But like it down the road,
- 59:11Speaker 1: you ever reunite these guys again. Absolutely, you know.
- 59:15Speaker 2: That the road.
- 59:16Speaker 3: The future is incredibly bright for the both of them.
- 59:19Speaker 3: I mean they're both only twenty one.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Years old, exactly.
- 59:21Speaker 1: They got a bright future.
- 59:23Speaker 3: They are, they have years you know, you know, God willing,
- 59:27Speaker 3: They've got tons of years ahead of them, and both
- 59:29Speaker 3: of them got you know, plenty of work to do.
- 59:32Speaker 3: And let's not and obviously keep in mind, Leon Slater
- 59:36Speaker 3: is a TNA towl.
- 59:37Speaker 1: I was just full TNA, right, He's not just an XT.
- 59:41Speaker 3: No, No, he's full TNA. He is the X division
- 59:44Speaker 3: champion in TNA. AJ styles is the old title.
- 59:48Speaker 1: Right, Okay, nice and good, nice fact there, see I'm
- 59:54Speaker 1: learning things.
- 59:56Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he's a division champion, So I mean he's
- 59:59Speaker 3: full on TNA, which I mean that's something, you know,
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I think pretty unprecedented. I don't know that a non
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: WWE talent has been showcased on a platform of this
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: magnitude before, aside from obviously Joe Hendry getting his moment
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: at WrestleMania, but on a television platform this big at
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: Saturday night main event.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: I don't know that anybody non ww's gotten a showcase
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: or highlight like this before. Carlos, what are your thoughts
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: on this match?
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: Regardless of the batch or the questionable batch that we're
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: not sure if it was done purposefully. This was my
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: match of the night for me. It was a very
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: fast paced match, which we would expect because mostly everyone
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: is used to working. I guess you can call it
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: a cruiserweight or now X division type of style, you know,
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: where we would get like ass paced, high flying moves
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: and things like that, all the high spots. So even
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: though we had that and I was just imagining, like
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: if they had more time, I think it would show up.
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: It would show up John Cena's last man, or like
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: maybe like but who knows if maybe AJ got hurt,
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: if that wasn't a botch and they would just like
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: just go home and we'll just go like that. We
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: don't have those little details on maybe it was supposed
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: to go for another two to three more minutes more
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: or five more minutes after you know what would have
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: happened if AJ didn't batch. So but regardless of that botch,
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: I still think that all of these guys, all of
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: them because AJ is gonna retire soon. Dragon Ly still
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: kind of middle ing here. I don't think he's getting
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: the rub or anything that they expected to get from
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: a j And but it showcased these two guys, you know,
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: like Jovan Evans needed more shine, but he's you know.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: He's got He'd get a ton of shot over the
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: last couple months.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: So but it was good to see this lead. You know,
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: Leon's later because I have I don't watch TNA. I've
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: never been interested in watching TNA and I'm not sure why,
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: but now I'm like, maybe I'll start watching see what
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: Leon can actually do.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: I mean, Carlos, let's be real, right, it's it's time, man,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Like there's so much wrestling in the week. And you
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: know they made the announcement that SmackDown is going back
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: to three hours. It's like, oh, wonderful.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: Yeah, there's so much wrestling in the week. Also, where
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: is what is TNA currently airing on? If that's not
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: a question that somebody that you can quickly answer off
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: the top of your head, chance, then most people, chances
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: are you don't know where to catch it when it
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: does air, right, So if you don't know, if you
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: don't know where it's at, you don't know where to
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: you're not gonna watch it. Everybody knows raw, Netflix, it
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: s Backdown USA, even aw Dynamite TBS and Collision TBS like,
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: you know where to find those immediately if you want
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: to watch them. TNA, I don't know. That word is
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: that they're supposed to be getting a TV deal. I
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: think with uh is AMC, I think yeah, yeah, that
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: they should be getting that a TV deal with that
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: should hopefully help them out a tremendous a tremendous deal
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: when they get that. And I'm gonna say that AJ
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: completely that was a real botch from AJ. Just looking
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: at it. They definitely yeah, he definite fulle slipped. But
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: again everybody just immediately reacted to it. And you can
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: see kind of after the match too, when it was over,
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: AJ kind of had a bit of an upset look
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: on his face, right, like like he was mad at
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: himself for watching that spot.
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: Yeah, he's the elder guy in the ring. You figured
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: Nominal Forum so many times and he's the only one
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: that up.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and a guy of his caliber, you know, is
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: obviously such a perfectionist, so you know, any little mistake
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: he makes, he's mad at himself for it. But other
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: than that, man, I'm with you, Carlos this far as
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: end ring.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Yeah, this was the match of the night. It was.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: I said it was. It was top notch. It was
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: a great match.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Any other final thoughts on this before we get to
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: the to the main event.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: No, we're three for three man, three for three on
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: good matches so far.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: These matches, all three of these first match, these first
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: three match, not a single one of them was longer
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: than ten minutes.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: I told you when when this match finished on like
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: this is gonna they had like a good half hour
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: or forty minutes of filler to get in here.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Oh, they definitely did.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: But I mean as far as like the pacing of
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: the show itself, it didn't. It wasn't noticeable in the
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: in real time as I was watching it, because it
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: seemed like they were timing everything out pretty well, because
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: by the point of this match ending, we were well
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: into like the nine o'clock hour, and obviously we were
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: probably expecting, Okay, this thing's gonna go to We were respecting.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: You know, the typical two hours and it goes towards
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: ten o'clock, so it seemed like, okay, they left themselves
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: enough time to have the main event and whatever postmatch
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: activity was and still be out by ten o'clock. Obviously
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: they went well beyond. They went beyond two hours, but
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: it seemed like the pacing was good. But looking back
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: at it, it's like, damn, these matches were short as fuck,
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: but like I said, they didn't feel like it watching it. Yeah,
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: nine minutes and ten seconds for the Cody Opa match,
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: nine minutes and twenty five for Baillions in Soul Ruka,
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: six minutes and thirty seconds for the tag team match.
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: That's fucking crazy, which we probably if, like you said,
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: if they didn't botch, maybe we would have. Yeah, maybe
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: a nine minute or ten minute mark.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: Right right, They probably could have.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: But we thought we were about to get the main
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: event next, but instead, no, we got them miss coming
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: out here and said, y'all, motherfucker's gonna hear from me
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: on this of John Cena's final match night, he said
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: he won't hear for the bullshit. Don't give a damn
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: about that tournament. He should have been the last opponent.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: He talked his shit and I was there for it.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: I'm like, damn right, Miss, get your shit off in
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: this last moment, just for him to get interrupted by
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: our truth, which as down as I am on our truth,
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: since he's gone back to this in this moment, I
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: was like, I was laughing. I was like, of course,
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: of course our truth is gonna come out there and
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: interrupt him. And of course our truth brought the ball
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: to call back to which you know, pretty smart, I mean,
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: I guess nice as far as storytelling goes, all back
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: to this Miss swapping somebody's name out to get himself
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: that second shot in the tournament, and lo and behold,
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: who did he cost? Who did he screw out of
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: the tournament? The man who appears when you invoke his name,
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: mister Joe Hendry himself.
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: Bore, he appears.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: I believe in Joe Hendre.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: All right, yep, Joe Hendry himself shows up. And then
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: they both put the beat down on Miss and then
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: give a little John Cen a tribute with a dual
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: five knuckle shuffle. This was an it was a harmless
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: fun segment. It was funny. I laughed at it. I
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: was entertained. I have no complaints about it.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Yeah, he got got oh I was saying, he got
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: You know, Johnson obviously has history with Our Truth and
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: and the MIZZ and having him on the card at all,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: getting any TV time, I feel like that's a nice
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: little little little bow to them, you know, thank you.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: So he may not gotten you know, a match with him,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: you know, in the past few weeks, but uh he
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: got to uh get him on the card, and then
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: and then Joe Henry in him a little bit of
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: TV time, and of course every time Joe Henry's on.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: I mean, I fucking love the way they they just
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: through the timing and the zooming in on his face.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: I it happened so quick. I That's what makes me laugh, man,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: It just it happens so quick, and they zoom in
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: on his fucking face and I'm just dying. Ever since
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: they did that WrestleMania with him and Norton, you know,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: they did it again. I was like, this is great.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: We didn't get too much of Joe Henry, just enough.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: So exactly, just enough. This is the type of comedy
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: segment that, when done right, works excellently, and this was
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: done right. Good timing nice to change of pace. Segment
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: didn't overstay its welcome, it didn't drag on any longer
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: than it needed to. So yeah, I had no complaints this.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: This worked out perfectly in my opinion. Any thoughts on this, Carlos.
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: Yeah, the segment was pretty good. I think it did
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: what it was supposed to do. It kind of created
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: that buffer like that. We mentioned how that tag Team
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: was a very hot match, So I don't know if
- 1:10:40Speaker 6: this was done off the cuff too as filler since
- 1:10:44Speaker 6: we mentioned like nine to nine at eighteen six minutes,
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: twenty four minutes of twenty five minutes of actual ringtime
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: somewhere along those lines, so it means like production wise,
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: we probably wanted that match to go on. And I'm
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: gonna say Eastern time here because that's where you guys
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: deal with like around nine thirty, right right, So we
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: had some we had, like I mentioned at the discord
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: when we were chatting and watching this, well they'd had
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: maybe like a good half hour to kill, so this
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: was one way of filling it that time. And it
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: closed off, you know, kind of a thread, which I
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: always I'm always a fan of closing threads and closing
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: up storylines when you can do it. And this, you know,
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: saw that miss grew away a ball or we finally
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: got an answer of who it was. I think we
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: all were thinking when the Johnsena Final Match tournament was
- 1:11:53Speaker 6: beginning that Joe Henry would actually be in this, and
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: our surprise he wasn't. So I guess on a way
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: to rec conduct, which is pretty good on their part,
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: and it was a pretty good comedy, a little halock cleanser,
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: as you can say. So I have no issues with this.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, like I say one right on that, like
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: closing up those tying up loosends, closing those threads. Yeah,
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: this is a very well done, well executed segment here.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: So that only.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: Leaves the match the last match, John Cena's final match
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: against Gunter, and obviously you know Gunter came out to
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: a course of booze and all this that and the
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: third but.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: And did they.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: They really dragged out John Cena's arrival. It felt like
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: Gunter sat and that stood that ring for like a
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: whole minute before they finally hit John's music.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Right, but like the whole time Gunther is standing there. Man,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: He's he's just deadpan, just dead face man like, no emotion, like,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: but that's what I kind of wanted to see from him,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: and that he did.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: Unaffected, just stone faced focused yep. But you know that's
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: that's w W and their flair for the dramatic, which,
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: of course, before he actually comes out, they cut the
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: lights and then hit the music, and then the whole
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: place loses their absolute fucking marbles. Everybody's feeling all the emotions,
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: all this that and the third and then light everything
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: up is you know, the music hits, he comes out.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: So at what point when since you're the biggest, you're
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: the biggest seeing a fan of the three of us,
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: at what point did the emotions start to hit you?
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: Oh? Dude, his match It honestly, it was right right
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: from the get go. It was right from the entrance.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I was like, do you know why. It's like we know,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: you know, people who know Stu the man behind the camera,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: you know, like he got he held the camera and
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: we got to see Stu.
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: He's been there. I mean I've been there and Stu's
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: been there. You know, we've all been there since John
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: seen his career started. You know, like was it twenty
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: two years ago? Oh, it's just a long ride, man,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: and knowing that this is I get it. You know
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: we're gonna see scene again, you know, but not in
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: this form, not not not lacing up his his you know,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: his sneakers for another match, you know, is to do
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: a promore being an ambassador now. But uh so, yeah, dude,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: it was like as soon as that that music hit,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: because this is it, man, this is and and during
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: that that entrance dre like when when he's going around
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: and we're seeing all the other wrestlers, you know, Kurt
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Angles there, Mark Henry's there, Uh they they had even
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Elias was there, Kevin Owens was there, Sammy's Ain was there.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: A lot of these guys were there, and I'm like, okay,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: this is this is real man, Like there's no there's
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: no story, there's no other story. We're all looking and
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: searching for more because we don't want this to be over.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: We wanted People were like, oh, well, maybe the Rock's
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: gonna come in and take his soul or something, you know,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: he has to pay for a soul, like he's there's
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: gonna be another match. Like even I thought I heard
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: I heard things, and you know, you want to believe
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: it because you want Sina to stay. That's why he
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: wanted to believe it. But when you see the tribute
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: videos and you see the people who showed up, it
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: was real, man, like they're not here to jerk you
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: around where you know, we did this whole tour. We
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: he laid out the dates, there's the shirts, the merch,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you know, like, this is it, this is the last match,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: and and Gooth playing his part through the whole match,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: the the deadpan emotion, the coming back with the the
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: even more. I believe healish type music, going back to
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: his og music, you know.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: A later, which I still think sucks.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: I get it, but I get it.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: I think it's a step down for him. It's this
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: card theme.
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: I get it. It's this old theme or whatever. This theme
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: is not as good as his other theme. His other
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: theme was so much better in my opinion. It was
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: more menacing. It had that suit jaws, you know, intro
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: to it. Like it was a much stronger entrance thing
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: that gave him a much more of a presence. This
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: is just like music, whereas another one felt more like
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: a theme.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Okay, I just is more of a nostalgia for the character.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: For me, I was like maybe think of his uh
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: his NX two days when he was Walter, you know,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: when he was just that brutal man, dude, and he
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: still is that.
- 1:17:32Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I mean this, this guy has done so much in
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: his career and now he put away Sena and like
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: even to the point where like there there's looking like
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: there might be a trend with Gunther. You know, we
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: talked about Goldberg retired by him and now Sena and
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: we kind of got a little bit of eyeing up
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: aj styles, you know, like kind of like you know
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: you're next, uh, And then there's I hear lots of
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: talk still of him and brock lesn't are getting in
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: the ring together, not no, but uh but dude, Like
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: even early in the match, Man getting right to the
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: chest slabs and he was slapping Seena hard man. I
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: bet Sena was getting I bet he was getting a
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: little excited about being retired. He said, man, I won't
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: have to take these chess slaps no more. And then
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Gula going right to try to get him to tap
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: out early, you know, uh, trying to get him in
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: that you know that was a sleeperhold, and then we
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: did get seeing it getting the st fu on him,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: but not not as long and not as hard as
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: that sleeper hole was worked on him. We we got
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: an early a A and everybody kick said that first AA.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Now it seems, you know, the finisher was aren't finishers.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Aren't finishers anymore. They're not as strong as they used
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: to be ninety two or three or four to put
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: somebody away. It's never a one and done anymore. Uh.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: But the match itself really as far as a match,
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: as far as like, you know, the actual action of
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: the match itself, this wasn't really seen as best well,
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: it wasn't seen as best match. I mean, if we're
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: looking back at, you know, his matches throughout the year,
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: you would probably say that the two best matches Sena
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: had this year were his Summer Slam match with Cody.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: And the match he had with aj Styles. Those were
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: clearly two best.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: This one was, as far as what Sena did was
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: pretty paint by numbers. His offense pretty much consisted of
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: two two series of the five moves of doom, a
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: couple of AA's, and an S T F. You yeah,
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: that was pretty much the extent of John Cena's offense
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: in this match. That table, but it told a good story.
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: That was the main thing. Is it told the story
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: of Sina's final fight. But obviously the oh yeah, something else.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: That the last five knuckle shuffle. Uh, you wanna talk
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: about another another little sting there, dre you know, given
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the the last five knuckle shuffle, the five you know
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: moves of doom h but again going to robs it
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: from us, you know, with the super kick into a
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: power bomb. I was like, yeah, but the moment was
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: there though, dude, I got I.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: Got that fucker out too long and go in too
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: got up, making the fuck out of here with that
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: little ships to get up.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: But obviously the big climax of the match was Gilt
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: locking in that sleeper hold and John Cena giving everything
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: he had to try to escape it, even breaking it
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: a couple of times, getting to the ropes a few times,
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: even finally managing the power out of it and put
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: Gunter into an AA just for gun to the kickout
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: and then immediately put the put it back on. And
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: then when all was left and Johnsena had done everything
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: he could and giving all that he had, we got
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: the final moment of reconciliation, and he just sat there.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: He just laid there, cracked a simple smile and just
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: lightly tapped out said I'm done, which apparently, for some
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: reason is extremely controversial with people, for which I'm going
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: to say, well, I'll say this. I thought the finish,
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: in my opinion, was perfect. I have no complaints with
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: it whatsoever. I thought it was a perfect ending to
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: a legendary career. He gave it everything he had, He
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: fought with all he had, he gave everything he could
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: think of to try to get out of that sleeper hold.
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: He tried and he couldn't.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: And at the.
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: End, what sold it for me was the smile, because
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: that was John Cena saying I'm at peace, I'm okay
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: with this. I've tried it, I've done it all, given
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: everything up, I got I ain't got it, and I'm
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: not gonna sit.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: Here and pass out. He's like, He's like, I tried,
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: I'm done. This is it. You got it, buddy, you
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: got it? Tap out. People like John Cena shouldn't have
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: tapped down. That was terrible.
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: They either wanted people wanted one to two things. They
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: either wanted Johnsena to win, which is fucking stupid. That's
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: not that wouldn't be consistent with who's seen it is.
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: John Cena is a wrestling historian.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: He ain't.
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: He ain't one of these nil guys who ain't got
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: no connection to the wrestling history or nothing like that,
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: or didn't follow this thing or didn't grow up with it.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: You know, well, he ain't one of them guys. He
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: was like, I didn't really watch wrestling grow up. I
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: just kind of came into it as the you know that. No,
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: he grew up with this shit. He knows the tradition.
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: He's he's of the same us, which means he's young
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: enough to connect with today's generation, but also old enough
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: to have grown up with the old school, with those
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: guys from the eighties, the guys who were on the
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: road three hundred days a year, you know, working this
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: thing full time, who broke their bodies in this business.
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: He has that type of old school tradition that he
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: grew up with, the guys that he trained under, that
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: he learned from, that he got that game from. He
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: got the game from those ogs, those real ogs. And
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: and what's the old tradition in wrestling? You go out
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: on your back. You go out on your back to
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: pass it on to the next generation. He's that kind
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: of guy, So of course he was going to lose
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: his last match. The fact that people want to bring
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: up like other guys won in the past, Undertaker won
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: his last match. That's because he's Vince McMahon's bestie and
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: Vince McMahon is the chief booker, and no way in
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: hell was gonna have his best was his match.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: And that wasn't really an N ring match. It was
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: more of a production, a freaking.
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: Might as well been a little mini movie or whatever
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: of a match rather than an actual N ring match.
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: Because we were in COVID at the time. I can
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: only think of two real legends who did not lose
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: their last match, Undertaker and a guy just explained why
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: he didn't because Vince McMahon.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: And Sting because huh sorry, oh that's that Sting.
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: Yes, Sting who won his last match, And that's because
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: Tony Kahan was a total fanboy for Sting. Sting didn't
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: lose a single match in his last run in a W,
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: and that that last year plus run he had, or
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: a couple of years he had a W, Sting won
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: every single match he was in. So it is what
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: it is is whatever. His Sting's final run was about
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: celebrating Sting, so that's it. And yeah, people say, yes,
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: stone Cold didn't lose his last match either, Well yes
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: and no. I mean he didn't lose his last match
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: because he came back twenty years later to wrestle Kevin Owens.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: But prior to that.
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: Impromptu I don't want to.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: By counting them on promptu bullshits.
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: The thing that was generally Stone Cold's last match was
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: what Wressellmania nineteen against the Rock, and he did what lost,
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: So stone Cold had gone out on his back just
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: like everybody else. Now, granted, he did not give it
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: forward to the next generation like you know Sena did
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: on other wrestlers in the past, but he went out
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: on a loss, giving a win to his biggest rival
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: who had never beaten him on that stage. Even stone Cold,
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: you know, gave a bit of a tradition going out
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: on his back at nineteen. Yes, he did have the
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: subsequent returns and he had the match with Kevin Owns,
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: YadA YadA, But for the most part, prior to that,
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: he was with tradition as well. That's what Sena did
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: and and the other option people wanted if he's seen it,
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: one's gonna win. Was that Sena should have passed out
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: instead of tapped out.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: He should have just passed up.
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: He's the guy who never gives up, the guy who
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: never gives up, and he gives up in his final match.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: His bullshit, seen it done, seen it. He never gives up.
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: He gave up four times prior to this match. People
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: just act like he ain't never tapped out before. He's
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: tapped out four times before this, once to Chris Jericho,
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: once the Christmas Benoir, and twice the Kurd Angle. So
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: your mister never gave give up, gave up before. Sorry
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: to burstyr damn bubbles, y'all ub a right, it'd be
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: one thing.
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: That he hadn't was his tagline, tagline never give up
- 1:28:11Speaker 6: when he tapped.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: I don't know and I don't care. The point is
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: he's given up before.
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: Even if the mantra was never give up, it's all
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: thrown away or or people are the real thing, The
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: real thing that irks me more than anything is the
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: fact that people blamed Triple H for this, as if
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: somehow Triple H decided that John Cena should tap out
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: in this last match.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: As if you know.
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: Sena was like, you know, I was thinking, it's not
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: fuck that you tapping out, bitch y'all know, damn this
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: was John Cena's last match. He one decided how he
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: was going.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: To go out, and he showed that.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: I think when he chose to smile before it'sapping, that
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: was his choice. That was him being like I said,
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: at peace, reconciled with the end and okay with it.
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: But anyway, I've rambled enough, Carlos hop in, what are
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: your thoughts on this? Do you do you disagree with
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: my set, with my opinion on the finish or what
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: are your thoughts on the finish?
- 1:29:28Speaker 6: I think that we're gonna get Johnsena to come back
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: and he's gonna reprise his Doctor of Thugonomics or Sona okay,
- 1:29:40Speaker 6: his next run.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: Seriously, I was like, I was like listening, I'm like,
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: what the fuck is he talking about?
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: No, yes, we all smart marks, fantasy bookers with common
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: sense knew that Johnson was gonna lose. I think it
- 1:30:12Speaker 6: was mostly telegraphed that he that it was gonna end
- 1:30:17Speaker 6: in a submission, and I think I am okay that
- 1:30:25Speaker 6: he tapped. Character wise it just doesn't make sense to me.
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: I'm not a big John Seen a fan, so that
- 1:30:34Speaker 6: is like a surprise. But for me, it's it like,
- 1:30:41Speaker 6: it doesn't make any sense character wise because he's giving
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: up and he never gives up as his new mantra.
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: I know that we had those instances, but the whole
- 1:30:51Speaker 6: merchandising has that, so they've built that whole thing of
- 1:30:55Speaker 6: his character. Oh that's just I have no issues with
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: the way this, like I can take it or leave it,
- 1:31:05Speaker 6: as far as the tap he shouldn't have tapped it
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: and things like that, but I really don't have any
- 1:31:14Speaker 6: personal animosity towards Hunter. I already have all in this instance.
- 1:31:20Speaker 6: I do have it with other things, but that's never
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: that's never going to get settled. So as far as
- 1:31:28Speaker 6: this match is concerned, this is it's like a standard
- 1:31:32Speaker 6: match pretty much. Gunter Walter, whatever his name is, and
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: now it's pretty much was doing most of the work
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: with a couple of you know, rebuddals or you know
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: comebacks from John Cena, and that's primarily when you would
- 1:32:00Speaker 6: expect because you know he's supposed to Gunter is supposed
- 1:32:02Speaker 6: to be a big, imposing figear which now I'm talking
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: about just annoys me more than he tapped out to
- 1:32:10Speaker 6: Jay and then, you know, I feel like that whole
- 1:32:15Speaker 6: bumping the road it's I'm gonna get over it, but
- 1:32:19Speaker 6: like it, it just annoys me. No, So I don't
- 1:32:25Speaker 6: want to talk about it. I'm gonna get over it.
- 1:32:26Speaker 6: So as far as this match is concerned, uh, I
- 1:32:32Speaker 6: just can't see any other way. Like we mentioned, John
- 1:32:37Speaker 6: Cena is very well educated in the art of you know,
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: professional wrestling, how we how they enter, you know, how
- 1:32:48Speaker 6: we how they leave the business, primarily when there's the
- 1:32:53Speaker 6: last match. He even put his you know, designer running
- 1:32:58Speaker 6: shoes in there as part of the leaving your boots ceremony.
- 1:33:05Speaker 6: I'm glad that he didn't leave his georts like somebody
- 1:33:12Speaker 6: dude meme.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: He should have standing in the ring with just like
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: his white tidy whities. I was dying, man, I was
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: fucking dying.
- 1:33:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: So, I mean that would have been too campy the moment, I.
- 1:33:27Speaker 6: Usually mean all of his armbands and everything under anyway,
- 1:33:32Speaker 6: didn't you know what he also should have done is
- 1:33:34Speaker 6: he should have came out with those rebock pumps on
- 1:33:37Speaker 6: the last time and then a rebod pump.
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: He ain't wrestling and on the forty eight year old feet.
- 1:33:45Speaker 6: I know the planting terrified shaty catches up with everybody
- 1:33:49Speaker 6: after one, but it would have been nice.
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: He ain't right.
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: Seen was seeing up about this low top life for
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: the last at least five or six years.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: Man, that's right. These are comfortable.
- 1:34:06Speaker 9: Mm hmm.
- 1:34:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: I think this surprise ain't come out there some hokahs
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: or something. I surprise Punk ain't put them on the
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: game yet.
- 1:34:16Speaker 6: I'm sure he does have hokahs, but I think I
- 1:34:19Speaker 6: think I've read somewhere that he has a deal with
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: the shoe company, like you knows, somebody with the shoe company.
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: What shoes those are?
- 1:34:28Speaker 10: Though?
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: What shoes are those?
- 1:34:30Speaker 6: Someone showed the brain now we'll see if I can
- 1:34:32Speaker 6: find a picture and no shirt later in the discord,
- 1:34:34Speaker 6: but they.
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: Shared the they look like vests something.
- 1:34:38Speaker 6: H I think this was, fortunately, to me, like the
- 1:34:42Speaker 6: only match that I didn't like, like it was, and
- 1:34:45Speaker 6: it was primarily because of all the hype and everything
- 1:34:50Speaker 6: that went along with it. You know, they built this
- 1:34:52Speaker 6: whole Saturday Nights main event or and I think it
- 1:34:59Speaker 6: needed a bet a better build than just having some
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: random tournament or like we had John Cena appear at
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: rawls and smackdowns where he was doing a countdown and then,
- 1:35:15Speaker 6: but no one was really challenging him storyline wise. So
- 1:35:18Speaker 6: just to have his final apponment come from like a tournament,
- 1:35:24Speaker 6: it really didn't give the build or a payoff that
- 1:35:27Speaker 6: I think it really needed.
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: I get that. I think that's a valid complaint.
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: I think that stems from the fact that they limited
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: his dates so much, because obviously we you know, since
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: we talked about the match, we can kind of shift
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: to I guess looking back at the entirety of seeing
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: us run now and one of the things that jumps
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: out about this the most is seen is obviously been
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: doing a big a lot of media going into this
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: final match.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: He's done numerous interviews.
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: He did an interview, big interview with Chris van Vliet
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: for his show.
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: I Forgot Who.
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: All these little vignettes that they've been showing leading up
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: to the This last match on WWE programming was part
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: of a long form interview he did with.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: Somebody I can't remember who.
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: But in all this media and all these interviews he's done,
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: one of the big things that jumped out to me
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: was that Sena, and he talked about this on in
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: his interview with Chris van Vliet. Sena one had started
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: planning this out a few years in advance. I think
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: he said it was around twenty twenty three was when
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: he first pitched this idea to WWE and TKO.
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: About doing a farewell tour and such.
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: That's why we got the thnouncement of it in twenty
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: twenty four, because he made the pitch and sold them
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: on it, and from there going into the planning of it.
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: Sena himself said that he had planned to go the
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: full year, like he had cleared he had when he
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: was initially, you.
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: Know, planning this out.
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: He was going to block out his entire twenty twenty
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: five and completely dedicate the entire year to WWE. He
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: was prepared to do two hundred dates this year, and
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: it was WWE who said, now we don't need that
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: much and trimmed it down to the thirty something dates
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: we got throughout an entire year. That is frustrating to hear.
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: I'm not saying that Scena should have done two hundred dates.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: I think that was too much, would have been too much,
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: and I don't know that his body would have been
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: able to hold up for that dates, but he didn't.
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: But the fact that he was willing to do more
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: than just the thirty that we got. And it was
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: w W who said no that that that sucks, because
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: I mean, we could have gotten more out of this
- 1:38:16Speaker 3: last run, even if they weren't matches. We could have
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: just gotten more appearances from him in this last run.
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: We could have gotten maybe a Sena and Gunter, you know,
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: face to face in the ring that I think could
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: have helped add more to this match, even if they
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: were gonna go with the tournament aspect. We could have
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: had seen it at ringside during the tournaments, watching these guys,
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: maybe on the mic, given some commentary, sharing his thoughts
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: on maybe some of these younger up and comers, like
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: a Carmelo Hayes or somebody who was in a tournament,
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: saying what he thought on him, giving him a little
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: bit of a rub on the mic. You know, that
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: could have been that could have made the tournament more interesting.
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: But John Cena was at ringside watching all these matches
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: to see who his last opponent was gonna be, or
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: again once Glter became the winner, if we could have
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: gotten a face to in ring exchange, face to face
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: with him and Gilter before the match. Let Gulzer cut
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: that whole promo about He's gonna make them get up
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: and give up and hear what Johnsena's retort would be.
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: That could have added more to the match. I mean
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: so much. We we could have gotten more.
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: Out of this year, but we didn't because WWE said
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: no and said that they didn't need him for that
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: many dates.
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: That's frustrating to hear.
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: That's that's that's the main That's one of the biggest
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: things that stuck out to me about it. But aside
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: from that, obviously, this is something that people are going
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: to talk about for years to come. As far as
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: Johnsena's last run, was it a success, was it a failure?
- 1:39:58Speaker 10: Was it this?
- 1:39:59Speaker 5: That?
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: And the third general consensus seems to be that the
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: Hell Turn was a failure. And to a certain extent,
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: I agree the Hill Turn did not go They probably
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: hope who's the blame for that?
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: Yo.
- 1:40:14Speaker 3: Again, people will talk about that for years to come.
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: I think part of the blame. There's plenty of blame
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: to go around. A lot of it will probably be
- 1:40:26Speaker 3: levied at Triple H. A lot of it will probably
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: be levied at the Rock, and rightfully so, because he
- 1:40:33Speaker 3: just if whether that was a calculus decision to step away,
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: as he claimed on Unreal to I'm gonna step away
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: and make it about let it be about John and Cody.
- 1:40:45Speaker 5: No that.
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: Even at the time when Rock said that and Unreal,
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: I didn't buy it. It seemed more like him trying
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: to save face. I don't know what the truth is,
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: maybe we'll never know, but that clearly was a missed up,
- 1:41:01Speaker 3: you know. And to think that some signature matches like
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: John Cena versus Coat versus Seeing Punk and John Cena
- 1:41:09Speaker 3: versus Randy Orton, those final matches occurred in the midst
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: of that He'll run kind of makes you think that,
- 1:41:17Speaker 3: you know what, if we hadn't gotten that, could we
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: have possibly gotten better matches out of them the final time?
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: There's a again, that's that's a conversation that's probably bigger
- 1:41:31Speaker 3: than just this single podcast. But and obviously we'll people
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: will talk about it again, we'll touch on it off
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: and on probably for years to come. But just on
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: the surface, what what Wayne, what are your initial thoughts
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: on Sena's last year, and it's this overall final run.
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: I mean I I believed, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: mean he had a if we're looking at stats wise,
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: I actually did pull up some stats here of like
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: views for his highest ranked matches, like some of his
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: high highest rated ones. You're right, dude, John Cena versus
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: aj Styles at Crown Jewel. You know, John Cena versus
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, John Cen versus Sammy Zain on SmackDown,
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: John Cena versus Logan Pollock Clash in Paris. These are
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: all matches you need to go back and check. John
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: Cena Ray and Seamus versus Judgment Day on Raw and
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: the lowest matches of the year. We only had three
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: of them. We had John Cena versus brock Lessner at
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: Russell Palooza, John Cena versus Our Truth at SmackDown, and
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: then John Cena versus Cody Rhoads at WrestleMania. Those were
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: raided the three worst. But like dude, the idea what
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: you were saying about building up the feud with Gunther
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: via the tournament and not just gun Thro interacting with
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: all the other wrestlers who were in the tournament, getting
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: some maybe mic exchanges between him and l A. Knight,
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: getting him mike exchanged between him and the Mids one
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: last time, dude, the promos would have been That's all
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: we needed, just the promos, man. I mean, you spend
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: half of the damn three hour show overall just showing
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: me recaps, recaps and just long drawn out vim Ye didn't.
- 1:43:35Speaker 6: Have time.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: For promos, uh man. And the fact knowing that Sina
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: wanted to give us more could have been more. But
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: you know what though, at the end of the day,
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: guys like, I'm happy we got what we got because
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: some some wrestlers don't have that opportunity when they retire.
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: Some wrestlers are forced to retire early, you know, to
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: some injuries. Sometimes they're forced to retire early. You know,
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: sometimes we get caught off guard, you know, one day,
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: you know, after WrestleMania, we get a speech from Edge,
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: you know, saying that you know, obviously it's fastly changed,
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: but like there was a point where we thought Edge
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: was done all together, you know, just added nowhere. It's
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: just like, oh shit, like WrestleMania was last night, it's
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: raw and he's talking about retiring, like you know, and
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: some guys we get the opportunity to like let them
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: run out the rest of their career to you know,
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: they make the calls like aj Styles says he wants
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: to retire next year. I mean, not a lot of
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: wrestlers get that either, just saying hey, this is when
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: I want to retire. So I think Sina being able
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: to give us one year. I'll tell you what, dude,
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: it came and went fast. I feel like it wasn't
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: too long ago. We were just talking about the beginning
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: of this and sometimes is there any look back You're like, damn,
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: did we squander?
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: Did we uh.
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: Hit this this run?
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: Or not?
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: Like I don't know, man, I hope I hope other wrestlers.
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: I hope they do the same thing. I hope they
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: do the same thing for maybe Orton, you know, or
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: they handle aj Styles very similar, or any other wrestlers
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: that have the ability to retire on.
- 1:45:29Speaker 2: Their own terms going out.
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: If we can get something.
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: Maybe not.
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: A full year or something, but like a program, a
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: storyline drawing out a good one like this, man, like
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: a full year.
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think everybody well, and I don't think
- 1:45:49Speaker 3: everybody deserves a retirement exactly.
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: Not everybody deserves one.
- 1:45:54Speaker 3: Right, there's only one John Cena, so everybody doesn't deserve this.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: But I do hope that the guys who are at
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: the point where they're coming up on the end of
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: their career do get to go out the way that
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: they want to go out. Whether it's whether it's they saying, hey,
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: I'm you know, give me six months, or give me
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: this one last program with so and so, or you know,
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: let me announce, say hey, you know, this show is
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: going to be my retirement match, or whatever however they
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: want to go about it. I just hope that they
- 1:46:29Speaker 3: are allowed to go out on their terms the way
- 1:46:33Speaker 3: they want to. I hope that WWE would at least
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: afford these these people.
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: That courtesy and allow them to go out like that.
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: You know, So if aj Styles decides he wants to,
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: you know, you know, he goes to them and says, hey,
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: I want to retire at this date, Let's come up
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: with some and I want to have some sort of
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: farewell program.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: Let's come up with something.
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: And I hope they you know, they oblige that, as
- 1:47:01Speaker 3: opposed to saying all right, that's your date, all right,
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: we'll figure out something.
- 1:47:04Speaker 10: Go home.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: We'll let you know what we figure out for you.
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: You know, I think every wrestler, especially the ones, for
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: as much as they've given, they deserve to go out
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: on their terms and let and I think that's how
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: most fans would want to see them go out mm
- 1:47:21Speaker 3: hmm on their terms the way that they want and
- 1:47:26Speaker 3: let us the fans appreciate them. Carlos, Yeah, what are
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: your what are your initial thoughts on this unseen as
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: farewell tour?
- 1:47:48Speaker 6: I think Gill is just not as good as other
- 1:47:56Speaker 6: retirement tours. I think with the whole I have as
- 1:48:03Speaker 6: many dates, it kind of takes the excitement out of
- 1:48:07Speaker 6: it because you have the countdown, you know, and that
- 1:48:14Speaker 6: kind of helped out when he was a heel. Scene
- 1:48:17Speaker 6: shift gears after he loses his title, and now we're
- 1:48:23Speaker 6: back to Sena as we've come to know him for
- 1:48:29Speaker 6: a while, and it's and then they randomly have him
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: win the Intercontinental title from Dominic for like two and
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: a half weeks so he could be a Grand Slam Champion,
- 1:48:44Speaker 6: and it just and then we have Dominic win it
- 1:48:48Speaker 6: back and it feels like that was like a waste
- 1:48:53Speaker 6: of a title run, and Dominic would have benefited from
- 1:49:00Speaker 6: win over Sena, whether it was on the Monday night raw,
- 1:49:03Speaker 6: like when you just could have had someone running interfering
- 1:49:07Speaker 6: the match and then for sure have the real match,
- 1:49:12Speaker 6: you know, was it like I said, two and a
- 1:49:14Speaker 6: half weeks later, however long it was later at Survivor
- 1:49:17Speaker 6: Series and still have gotten Dominic the win that he
- 1:49:21Speaker 6: would have got over John Cena. So allright, just annoys
- 1:49:27Speaker 6: me that I feel like this could have been done better,
- 1:49:31Speaker 6: especially the John Cena heeltern. It didn't seem like he
- 1:49:35Speaker 6: was fully committed to it. We did get a few
- 1:49:41Speaker 6: little highlights on there, like when he was forcing the
- 1:49:43Speaker 6: announcer to do the you know, re from the card
- 1:49:49Speaker 6: and do his long introduction, and I think that was
- 1:49:55Speaker 6: the only thing I liked. And then I liked the
- 1:49:57Speaker 6: whole not coming out with music, just having a black
- 1:50:02Speaker 6: screen that said John Cena type of thing.
- 1:50:05Speaker 3: So some of those things I actually kind of appreciated
- 1:50:10Speaker 3: the fact that when he was he'll like, we're gonna
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: get rid of all the fanfare, it's just the name Johnson.
- 1:50:15Speaker 6: I just I just would have liked to have something different,
- 1:50:19Speaker 6: not just a different theme. Yeah.
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: See now see Johnson had talked about that. He actually
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: talked about that in an interview in terms of why
- 1:50:28Speaker 3: he did not go with a different theme. I don't
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: remember everything he said for batim, but basically he said
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: that if this was if this was going to be
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: a longer run than just one year, like if this
- 1:50:42Speaker 3: was something that he would have done like maybe mid
- 1:50:44Speaker 3: career or something like that, then yeah, it would have
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: made sense to obviously change up the theme and all that.
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: But given that we were in one year and a
- 1:50:54Speaker 3: limited number of dates, it didn't seem to make a
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: whole lot of sense to try to change up the
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: thing or make these all these gradual change, these big
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: changes for a he'll turn because stuff like that typically
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: takes time to get over with fans as far as
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: you know, a theme that that gets over with the
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: fans as a heel and all this that and thirty
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: and to a certain extent, he's correct about that. You
- 1:51:23Speaker 3: know a lot of people when they change up or
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: go from you know, face to heel or something like that,
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: and they change up their music or whatever, it doesn't
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: always initially hit. It does take time for people to
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: develop that connection. With that heel character and with that
- 1:51:39Speaker 3: heal music and all that stuff, and to form that
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: bond with that to where they become invested in who
- 1:51:44Speaker 3: that person is as a heel. But since we were
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: dealing with such limited time with John Cena on this
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: Farewell tour, it.
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: Didn't to him, it didn't make sense to go through
- 1:51:56Speaker 2: all of that change just for the heel.
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: It just made you know, they just worked with what
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: they had with the limited time that they had, which
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: was keep the theme because that's what everybody's connected to,
- 1:52:09Speaker 3: but change up the presentation, which is obviously getting rid
- 1:52:14Speaker 3: of all the colors and everything, just going to black
- 1:52:17Speaker 3: screen him walking with his back with the belt round
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: backwards and just doing these subtle things that he could
- 1:52:22Speaker 3: do that he could make work within the short time
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: frame that they had of his of his run, I said,
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: and hearing him explain it, once he explained it, I
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: was like, Okay, that makes sense. It kind of explains
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: why they those decisions.
- 1:52:38Speaker 6: Well, you explained this to me. This is the Chris
- 1:52:42Speaker 6: van Velie, the one.
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: I want to say. It was in the Chris VanVleet interview.
- 1:52:46Speaker 6: Yes, I'm gonna have to watch that because if he's
- 1:52:50Speaker 6: where if he's aware that it takes time for someone
- 1:52:54Speaker 6: to warm up to the music or invest in the character,
- 1:52:58Speaker 6: then he should have been against the He'll turn to
- 1:53:00Speaker 6: begin with.
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: Baby.
- 1:53:04Speaker 3: So there's an argument there definitely for that from what
- 1:53:08Speaker 3: I've gathered, from what I've heard and interviews and other
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: like the only long He's done a number of interviews,
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: like I said, Chris van Vleet, the one he did
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: for WWE. He even did one with Stephanie McMahon for
- 1:53:25Speaker 3: her What's Your Story podcast, but that was that was
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: maybe about a month ago, So it's he's not quite
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: really reflecting on the run as much as in that interview.
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: If you really want the interview where he's reflecting on
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: this last year, then the Chris van Vleet interview is
- 1:53:44Speaker 3: the one to want to listen to or watch on YouTube.
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: But he also just appeared on Cody's podcast, Huh.
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:53:54Speaker 6: I'm saying I'm not gonna listen to Cody, but thank you.
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: Well, I'm probably gonna check it out because I think
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: that there's some him and Cody talk about some stuff
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: in the last run as well. One of the things
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: that they talk about and it is the heel turn
- 1:54:10Speaker 3: itself and making that work, and from what I've gathered,
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: from what I've hearing from him and even a little
- 1:54:18Speaker 3: bit from Cody, I think in that interview, which again
- 1:54:21Speaker 3: I have listened to the whole thing, but it seems
- 1:54:25Speaker 3: to me, again this is this is just my speculation.
- 1:54:29Speaker 3: It seems to me that there were different plans for
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: the heel turn, like the heel turn as it occurred
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: at what was that elimination Chambers it took place on
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: that show, that was the plan. And for what it's worth,
- 1:54:46Speaker 3: people can you know, say the heel turn was a
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: failure or whatever have you. That moment itself worked. The
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: actual moment of him hugging Cody face turn Rock doing
- 1:54:58Speaker 3: the cutthroat you know, seen his you know face switching
- 1:55:02Speaker 3: up and then kicking. That moment worked. It shocked everybody.
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: Everybody reacted to it. It went completely viral. It was
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: the talk of the wrestling world. John Cena turned Hill. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:55:14Speaker 3: that moment worked. It's what followed afterwards that failed.
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: That did not work.
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: And it seems like from when I've gathered, a big
- 1:55:23Speaker 3: reason why it did not work is because the rock
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: in Travis Scott backed out or Travis Scott did whatever
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: he did, his flaky shit, his non commitment. But also
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: a big factor of it was the Rock backing out,
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: and at some point Rock's gonna have to answer for
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: that and offer up a explanation that people buy. He'll
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: He'll come back at some point. But what he because
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: the excuse he gave on unreal. I'm not buying it.
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: That just seems like him trying to say face.
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:56:01Speaker 3: Him saying that, you know, he wanted it. He wanted
- 1:56:03Speaker 3: to make the story about John and Cody and he
- 1:56:06Speaker 3: decided to separate. No, I think that's total bullshit. I'm
- 1:56:10Speaker 3: just gonna say I think it's I think it's bullshit.
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: I think he's bullshit and this there was some other reason.
- 1:56:14Speaker 3: Whatever that reason was, I don't know, but at some
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: point the truth should is going to have to come
- 1:56:20Speaker 3: out about what really happened. But I think that's what
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: affected the He'll Turn a lot was the absence of
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: the Rock and Wault in it. I think he was
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: initially meant to have more of a role in this
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: He'll Turn, and once he was out John and Cody
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: and them, rather than you know, lingering on man, Now,
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: what are we gonna do that. They were just focused
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: on this is where we're at, what do we gotta
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: do to make it work going from here? So it
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: seems like they pretty much kind of had a monkey
- 1:56:58Speaker 3: wrench thrown in their plants and from there just had
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: to move forward kind of sort of on the fly
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: or come up with new plans after their original plans
- 1:57:09Speaker 3: kind of got monkey wrenched.
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: So I'm not gonna fault.
- 1:57:14Speaker 3: Them too much for that, because again, like I said,
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: it seems like plans got.
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: Kind of I don't want to say sabotage.
- 1:57:24Speaker 3: Again, I'll just use the term monkey wrenched by people
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: backing out who were probably supposed to play bigger roles
- 1:57:32Speaker 3: in it the way it was initially planned out.
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: All right, all right, guys, I I feel like we
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: could go on and on about John seen his last
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: match here, because I love how you guys both have
- 1:57:58Speaker 1: definitely different opinions on it. Carlos, I did not know.
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: Sounds like you haven't had a good ride on this
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: John Cena last ride.
- 1:58:09Speaker 6: I'm surprised it to me, it just it just seems.
- 1:58:14Speaker 11: Like it.
- 1:58:16Speaker 6: Wasn't completely thought out and it would have benefit of
- 1:58:21Speaker 6: having fan seen it there started from when he originally planned,
- 1:58:26Speaker 6: like in twenty twenty three, right, And I'm also not
- 1:58:29Speaker 6: a fan of announcing them when your last date is
- 1:58:33Speaker 6: gonna be.
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:58:35Speaker 6: I kind of like the runs that we had of retirement,
- 1:58:39Speaker 6: you know, runs of before, like the Rick Flair one
- 1:58:43Speaker 6: where he was on that whole thing where when he
- 1:58:46Speaker 6: lost his last match, that would be his last match. Yeah,
- 1:58:50Speaker 6: those kind of makes sense to me because it kind
- 1:58:54Speaker 6: of spells it out for you. And Daniel Brynt Brian
- 1:59:00Speaker 6: Danielson had that whole thing where he was gonna he
- 1:59:04Speaker 6: held the aw title and he was gonna keep wrestling
- 1:59:08Speaker 6: as long as he had the title, and I thought
- 1:59:11Speaker 6: for sure he was gonna gonna continue. But that whole
- 1:59:20Speaker 6: thing of him just holding it for like two months
- 1:59:23Speaker 6: and then losing it at Russell Dream when they were
- 1:59:26Speaker 6: having it in Spokane or somewhere in Washington where he's from.
- 1:59:31Speaker 6: I just thought that this was his tour and he
- 1:59:34Speaker 6: was at least gonna hold it for like sixty eight months.
- 1:59:36Speaker 6: But to have it in right there, I didn't it
- 1:59:40Speaker 6: just you know, it caught me by surprise. So it's
- 1:59:44Speaker 6: good to have like something like that where you have
- 1:59:50Speaker 6: you know, it's the last run, but you don't know
- 1:59:54Speaker 6: when it's gonna be the last match, And I think
- 1:59:59Speaker 6: that takes so away the whole, the whole, like not
- 2:00:05Speaker 6: the suspense, but like I'm not sure what the word is,
- 2:00:10Speaker 6: but it just it leaves you with less to criticize
- 2:00:15Speaker 6: and to pick apart and pull apart. When you focus
- 2:00:20Speaker 6: on what actually happened, then then what has what actually
- 2:00:26Speaker 6: what could have happened instead of what has happened.
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: So, yeah, I get what you're saying. I think there's
- 2:00:33Speaker 3: a there's a valid argument both ways. I think whether
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: you whether it is an announced whether it's a end
- 2:00:41Speaker 3: that comes out of nowhere out of surprise like a
- 2:00:47Speaker 3: flare or Brian Danielson, or whether it is something that
- 2:00:50Speaker 3: is telegraphed ahead of time. I said, I think there's
- 2:00:54Speaker 3: valid arguments for both. Like I said, if it's you know,
- 2:00:58Speaker 3: telegraphed in advance, that gives people time to prepare and
- 2:01:03Speaker 3: you know, get ready to accept the end and you.
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: Know, be imp for it. Yeah, plan for it.
- 2:01:10Speaker 3: If it's something that you really want to see, you know,
- 2:01:13Speaker 3: like I want to see this person's last match. I
- 2:01:15Speaker 3: want to be able to witness it. You can plan
- 2:01:17Speaker 3: for that and prepare for it and make sure you're
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: there to witness it if that's what you want to do,
- 2:01:22Speaker 3: you know, Whereas if it.
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: Comes out of surprise, out of nowhere, you know, you
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: may miss it.
- 2:01:29Speaker 3: If it's a show that's you know, for some reason
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: you miss and it turns out that was their last match,
- 2:01:34Speaker 3: well fuck, you missed it, and now you end up
- 2:01:37Speaker 3: having to watch a replay or trying to avoid social
- 2:01:39Speaker 3: media or this, that and the third you know. So,
- 2:01:43Speaker 3: I mean, there's there's that. There is also you know,
- 2:01:47Speaker 3: valid for that, valid justification for the other route, because
- 2:01:53Speaker 3: if you are just if you don't announce it in advance,
- 2:01:57Speaker 3: you can just focus on just telling the best story
- 2:02:00Speaker 3: you can up until whatever point you decide to end it,
- 2:02:06Speaker 3: and just you know, let's make the most of this moment.
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: Let's make the most of this moment. Let's make the
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: most of this one.
- 2:02:11Speaker 3: All right, this one I want to end it, all right, cool,
- 2:02:13Speaker 3: this is where we're gonna end it, and let's just
- 2:02:16Speaker 3: you know, tell the best story possible.
- 2:02:18Speaker 2: Obviously, because obviously inside.
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: The company, they know where the end is gonna be,
- 2:02:23Speaker 3: where the end is gonna come, whether we know it
- 2:02:26Speaker 3: or not.
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: Is really the only difference. You know, they we they.
- 2:02:31Speaker 3: Inside the company, they knew WrestleMania was gonna be Rick's
- 2:02:34Speaker 3: last match.
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: You know, aw knew that.
- 2:02:37Speaker 3: Uh well, you say, wreussell dream, What's gonna be Brian
- 2:02:41Speaker 3: Danielson's last match? They knew that internally, they just chose
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: not to share it with us. So and like they're
- 2:02:50Speaker 3: pros and cons to both, and I think it's kind
- 2:02:53Speaker 3: of on a case by case basis as far as
- 2:02:57Speaker 3: how to do it. And again that's why I say
- 2:03:00Speaker 3: what I said earlier. I want, I like for the
- 2:03:04Speaker 3: wrestler to be able to decide how they go out.
- 2:03:08Speaker 3: If they want to tell the fans in advance, hey,
- 2:03:11Speaker 3: this is gonna be my last match. Let them if
- 2:03:15Speaker 3: they want. If they decide to just say, just tell
- 2:03:19Speaker 3: the bosses. All right, I'm thinking of retiring on this date,
- 2:03:23Speaker 3: and let's come up with the best story that we
- 2:03:27Speaker 3: can tell between now and then to lead to my retirement.
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: It's either or.
- 2:03:37Speaker 3: My biggest thing is, like I said, I want a
- 2:03:40Speaker 3: wrestler to be able to go out on their terms
- 2:03:43Speaker 3: how they want to go out, as long as the
- 2:03:48Speaker 3: wrestler is happy with how they go out, that. I
- 2:03:50Speaker 3: think the fans can more or less accept it or
- 2:03:55Speaker 3: not accept it. But if the wrestler's satisfied with how
- 2:03:58Speaker 3: they went out, then we have less chance of them
- 2:04:05Speaker 3: trying to come back after the fact because they feel
- 2:04:07Speaker 3: like they left something on the table or doing something
- 2:04:10Speaker 3: that could potentially tarnish or put a damper on what
- 2:04:16Speaker 3: would have otherwise been a great ending. Looking at you,
- 2:04:22Speaker 3: Rick Flair, HM. The Rick Flair had the perfect, seemingly
- 2:04:28Speaker 3: the perfect ending at WrestleMania in his match with Shawn Michaels.
- 2:04:31Speaker 3: And then what we get a couple of years later,
- 2:04:35Speaker 3: that final match that took place on an indie show.
- 2:04:39Speaker 3: Nowhere some fans showing up Rick damn near dying in
- 2:04:45Speaker 3: the fucking ring, bleeding to death and shit and a
- 2:04:48Speaker 3: cluster fuck of a match well past his prime, well
- 2:04:51Speaker 3: passed when he should have hung it up. Or you
- 2:04:57Speaker 3: get Undertaker and Sean at Crown Jewel m.
- 2:05:03Speaker 6: HM batching Moon Salts right airing pictorial muscles, looking at Hunter.
- 2:05:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the stuff we don't need from people going out.
- 2:05:19Speaker 3: We just need their final matches to be their final matches,
- 2:05:21Speaker 3: and if they can just go out on their terms
- 2:05:25Speaker 3: and the way they dictate, the way they decide, then
- 2:05:28Speaker 3: hopefully we'll be left with good memories. Any other final
- 2:05:38Speaker 3: thoughts on this Saturday night main event, this last PL
- 2:05:44Speaker 3: of the year, No, man.
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: I think it was pretty good. I think as far
- 2:05:49Speaker 1: as pl e's go, it's been a while since we've
- 2:05:53Speaker 1: had a pretty good one, and this is for me,
- 2:05:56Speaker 1: it was pretty good. I enjoyed the whole damn thing. So,
- 2:06:01Speaker 1: uh yeah, I gotta I have some numbers to run
- 2:06:05Speaker 1: by you guys and rack some numbers over Johnsena's career here.
- 2:06:13Speaker 1: Uh Johnsen has had four hundred and sixty seven wins
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: one and ninety four losses, only thirty two draws. He
- 2:06:23Speaker 1: his most top five most frequently faced opponents. He's had
- 2:06:28Speaker 1: seventy seven matches with Randy Orton, fifty five matches but
- 2:06:32Speaker 1: Big Show, fifty two matches with Edge, forty two matches
- 2:06:38Speaker 1: with the MIZZ and forty one matches with Cain. Didn't
- 2:06:42Speaker 1: see that coming. If you'd like to know, Johnson has
- 2:06:47Speaker 1: held twenty five titles. He's held the WW Championship thirteen times,
- 2:06:53Speaker 1: the World Heavyweight Title three times, surprisingly the United States
- 2:06:57Speaker 1: title five times, the WW tag team titles, twice and
- 2:07:03Speaker 1: the ww World Tag Titles twice. Shortest match it was
- 2:07:09Speaker 1: forty six seconds against Chavo Guerrero. That was Raw February
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: twenty third, two thousand and nine. His longest match was
- 2:07:18Speaker 1: over an hour long versus Randy Orton and what we
- 2:07:22Speaker 1: probably got the last real iron Man match, Bragging Rice
- 2:07:26Speaker 1: two thousand and nine. He's had four tig team reigns,
- 2:07:34Speaker 1: but he's had two tag team betrayals he's done. Here's
- 2:07:40Speaker 1: an interesting fact, total number of freestyle raps ninety one
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: freestyle raps. People he's beaten at WrestleMania Big Show, JBL,
- 2:07:53Speaker 1: Triple Ah, Sean Michaels, Edge, Mit the Miz and Maurice Russive,
- 2:08:03Speaker 1: bray Wyatt, the Rock Batista. And these are people who've
- 2:08:08Speaker 1: beaten him at WrestleMania. That would be Randy Orton, the Miz.
- 2:08:12Speaker 2: And the Rock and Britain and what.
- 2:08:19Speaker 6: There wasn't then technically bray Wyatt winning the bun House
- 2:08:24Speaker 6: Firefly bun House. Oh I forgot about that match with
- 2:08:27Speaker 6: the Fiendies Firefly fun House.
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I think he might.
- 2:08:35Speaker 2: Be right, dude.
- 2:08:36Speaker 6: Wrestlemingia thirty three No.
- 2:08:39Speaker 12: Thirty six, thirty I think maybe thirty six. Uh the
- 2:08:47Speaker 12: thirty let me see.
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: One thousand, nine forty three days is his combined time
- 2:08:54Speaker 1: as champion, including a three hundred and eighty day rain,
- 2:08:59Speaker 1: which is a hard, huge part of his legacy. We
- 2:09:02Speaker 1: did touch on him being Grand Slam champion. He's the
- 2:09:06Speaker 1: twenty fifth Grand Slam Champion. Royal Rumble wins. He's run
- 2:09:12Speaker 1: the Rumble in two thousand and eight and twenty thirteen,
- 2:09:15Speaker 1: including a win for the number thirtieth spot, six hundred
- 2:09:20Speaker 1: and fifty plus wishes he's granted. He holds the Guinness
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: World Book of Records for granting the most witches and
- 2:09:27Speaker 1: they make a wish foundation surpassing far surpassing any other celebrity. Man,
- 2:09:37Speaker 1: it just goes on and on. I mean, Johnston is
- 2:09:41Speaker 1: just by the numbers. Guy's put in the fucking work, man,
- 2:09:44Speaker 1: and it shows put in the work. Two other things
- 2:09:51Speaker 1: I would like to touch on this week Monday Night
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: Raw pretty good. Well, it's you know what, dude, Before
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: Ral even started, I'm sitting at home, I'm like, you know,
- 2:10:06Speaker 1: Rawl should start with Gunter coming out. You know, like,
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: how else are you gonna do this? You gotta have
- 2:10:13Speaker 1: him come out.
- 2:10:13Speaker 2: With the heat.
- 2:10:15Speaker 1: The heat, man, I mean, did you guys watch Rall
- 2:10:22Speaker 1: on Monday.
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I said that in the discord. I think
- 2:10:27Speaker 2: that night that.
- 2:10:30Speaker 3: I said on social media that night that yeah, Raw
- 2:10:32Speaker 3: needed to open up with Gilter because he was gonna
- 2:10:35Speaker 3: have new clear heat. I mean, we saw there were
- 2:10:38Speaker 3: videos circulating online that, uh that Gunter needed security leaving
- 2:10:43Speaker 3: the a Rita because fans were so pissed off the
- 2:10:45Speaker 3: where there's a video of fans cussing him out as
- 2:10:48Speaker 3: he was going to the bus or whatever, and it's
- 2:10:50Speaker 3: just so, yeah, we knew the heat was there when
- 2:10:53Speaker 3: he came out.
- 2:10:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I mean that that's good heat though, right, Like,
- 2:10:57Speaker 1: that's that's wrestling heat again, when fans are bothering you
- 2:11:02Speaker 1: in the parking lot, that is That's what I'm talking about,
- 2:11:04Speaker 1: old school heat, right, you're absolutely right. Well, it's like, oh, man,
- 2:11:09Speaker 1: could you imagine that, Like, you know, you just got
- 2:11:12Speaker 1: Doune seeing Adventures end Game and you see Josh Browling
- 2:11:14Speaker 1: in the parking lot and you're just like, fuck you, man,
- 2:11:17Speaker 1: fuck you for snapping away half the goddamn universe. Fuck you.
- 2:11:21Speaker 1: It's like, dude, it's just a movie, No, man, like
- 2:11:24Speaker 1: fuck you. Uh yeah, I do, dude. I think that
- 2:11:29Speaker 1: that nuclear heats awesome. And the fact that we got
- 2:11:32Speaker 1: going through on raw saying that, you know, Jonasena tapped
- 2:11:37Speaker 1: out like a bitch. Oh man, just laying into that
- 2:11:41Speaker 1: fucking heat, just gasoling on the fire. I love it,
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: you know, seeing aj Styles getting into he's getting in
- 2:11:50Speaker 1: the car ces Aged Styles and then you know he's
- 2:11:53Speaker 1: driving away. Then he rolls down the fucking window and
- 2:11:56Speaker 1: he does that you can't see me ship, Like, dude,
- 2:11:58Speaker 1: I love it. I thought I love it, man, And
- 2:12:01Speaker 1: what I didn't get is he's walking backstage right and
- 2:12:04Speaker 1: you're seeing he sees like, you know, was that American
- 2:12:08Speaker 1: Alpha or not Academy? And then like I feel like
- 2:12:14Speaker 1: they're like, well, well dre here here's the thing, man,
- 2:12:18Speaker 1: They're like, but you feel good about yourself?
- 2:12:20Speaker 2: Huh yeah, And then you.
- 2:12:22Speaker 1: Know you see all this, you know, you know, but
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: you feel real good, like a big man.
- 2:12:27Speaker 2: You go out there and yeah, you know that was
- 2:12:29Speaker 2: Adam Pears.
- 2:12:30Speaker 1: Adam Pierce, That's who it was. Who did I say, Nicola?
- 2:12:33Speaker 2: Which made that made no sense to me?
- 2:12:35Speaker 1: Like it didn't right.
- 2:12:36Speaker 3: It's like you're the general manager, what the fuck do
- 2:12:39Speaker 3: you care? Why are you and your feelings about him
- 2:12:41Speaker 3: beating John Cena?
- 2:12:43Speaker 1: That's just that, Like you're mad at me for going
- 2:12:45Speaker 1: to work and doing my job and having a match,
- 2:12:49Speaker 1: like you fucking knew this was happening. I was scheduled
- 2:12:51Speaker 1: to magic against him. You're mad because I won.
- 2:12:54Speaker 2: The mad because I came out and talked ship afterwards,
- 2:12:56Speaker 2: like bitch on a heel, this is what I do. Yeah,
- 2:12:59Speaker 2: why active Brad knew about this?
- 2:13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like I beat saying, I like, I just
- 2:13:04Speaker 1: go out.
- 2:13:04Speaker 2: There legacy And that's the time that I wish like that.
- 2:13:10Speaker 3: Them being on Netflix freed them up to cuss a
- 2:13:13Speaker 3: little bit, because right there that's when go to shit.
- 2:13:16Speaker 2: Have be like fuck you, fuck me, no, fuck you.
- 2:13:23Speaker 1: Uh dude, we gotta.
- 2:13:26Speaker 2: Ship.
- 2:13:27Speaker 1: How many times have you guys seen the USOS versus
- 2:13:30Speaker 1: the New Day.
- 2:13:33Speaker 2: Enough? Right tons and tons.
- 2:13:36Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, out of all their matches this
- 2:13:39Speaker 1: this week, this dude, this sucked. It is bad. And
- 2:13:42Speaker 1: I didn't think those two, those four could put on
- 2:13:44Speaker 1: a bad match. It's just they just uh, I don't know, man,
- 2:13:51Speaker 1: I just wasn't buying it. It was just a bad
- 2:13:54Speaker 1: raw match. And I was kind of hyped seeing the
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: USOS and the new go at it again, but won't
- 2:14:03Speaker 1: wah uh what else did we get on Raw? Oh
- 2:14:09Speaker 1: Maxine Duprie.
- 2:14:11Speaker 6: Uh she got that fanger match of Maxing Duprix.
- 2:14:17Speaker 3: Right, don't just say that, like you in Passing that
- 2:14:21Speaker 3: was arguing one of the best matches on the show,
- 2:14:23Speaker 3: freaking a sleeper match. Really, Maxine Dupris and Ivy now
- 2:14:27Speaker 3: like they had a good match, and Maxine Dupris is
- 2:14:32Speaker 3: probably the most improved wrestler of the year if you
- 2:14:37Speaker 3: think about where where she was at the beginning of
- 2:14:41Speaker 3: this year, which was what just walking around backstage with
- 2:14:45Speaker 3: Alpha Academy. I don't even know if she was really
- 2:14:48Speaker 3: having matches like that at the beginning of this year. Baby,
- 2:14:50Speaker 3: she was, but they weren't much or just getting you know,
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: punked by people. And then here she is now as
- 2:15:01Speaker 3: Women's IC Champion, having legitimate, good matches, not having to
- 2:15:06Speaker 3: be carried by people, but holding her own, finding her
- 2:15:10Speaker 3: own character in ring, getting these dope vignettes with Natalia backstage,
- 2:15:15Speaker 3: I mean not the Talia backstage to getting these dope
- 2:15:17Speaker 3: vignettes with Natalia as her trainer, Like I said that
- 2:15:21Speaker 3: kip up she did in the middle of the match
- 2:15:23Speaker 3: where rather than doing a kip up like everybody else does,
- 2:15:25Speaker 3: all nice and quick like, she did it but slowly
- 2:15:28Speaker 3: with the back bend and then had that look on
- 2:15:30Speaker 3: her face like come. That was to me that match
- 2:15:34Speaker 3: was the highlight of the show for me, honestly, because
- 2:15:38Speaker 3: she has come.
- 2:15:41Speaker 2: So far.
- 2:15:43Speaker 3: And her growth and development since first appearing on the
- 2:15:48Speaker 3: main roster as Maxine Dupri's sister of.
- 2:15:55Speaker 2: Maday Night. You know he wasn't Max, was he? Yeah?
- 2:15:58Speaker 1: I think he was at the time because then he
- 2:16:01Speaker 1: remember him saying like no, no, and now I'm La
- 2:16:03Speaker 1: Night that he did like a whole promo vacstaated on it.
- 2:16:08Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 2:16:08Speaker 3: I thought he had a different name though that other
- 2:16:10Speaker 3: than Max Duprix. But either way, but from her debut
- 2:16:17Speaker 3: then as that to where she is now again, and
- 2:16:23Speaker 3: this is only in a couple of years, and she
- 2:16:28Speaker 3: unlike some people, she didn't have the benefit of spending
- 2:16:34Speaker 3: that time in NXT developing or this that, and third,
- 2:16:36Speaker 3: she kind of just hit the ground running on the
- 2:16:40Speaker 3: main roster sink or swim, and she can you can
- 2:16:43Speaker 3: tell she's put the work in. She has one put
- 2:16:48Speaker 3: the work in and it shows, so I got nothing
- 2:16:52Speaker 3: but praise for her.
- 2:16:57Speaker 6: Nice it is Max Dupre. I just looked it up
- 2:17:01Speaker 6: and confirmed, okay, it was Max Dupri.
- 2:17:05Speaker 2: Ka Uh oh dude.
- 2:17:09Speaker 1: The promo we got, uh seeing Punk coming out, uh
- 2:17:17Speaker 1: cutting a promo and brown Breaker and mentioning you know
- 2:17:21Speaker 1: you're you're you're dumb and dumber Steiner math gts equals
- 2:17:28Speaker 1: one two three. Yeah, I'm just trying to like recap
- 2:17:30Speaker 1: some of this stuff. If you haven't seen Punk's promo
- 2:17:34Speaker 1: calling uh Scott Slander a dumb ass or whatever he's
- 2:17:40Speaker 1: calling him stupid, that.
- 2:17:43Speaker 2: Was a good promo.
- 2:17:45Speaker 1: It promo anytime Punk gets on the mic, it's fucking good.
- 2:17:50Speaker 1: Let's face it.
- 2:17:52Speaker 13: Uh.
- 2:17:53Speaker 1: Oh god, dude, the the matter Stephanie Vicaire and Raquel,
- 2:17:58Speaker 1: Raquel getting that not on her fucking forehead like like immediately,
- 2:18:07Speaker 1: like did you guys see that, like getting thrown into
- 2:18:10Speaker 1: those steps And.
- 2:18:11Speaker 3: I didn't see it in real time on the show,
- 2:18:14Speaker 3: but I did see it backstage when they Yeah, when
- 2:18:17Speaker 3: she cut the promo backstage, Yeah, she had a hell
- 2:18:21Speaker 3: of an Apparently she's in concussion protocol now.
- 2:18:24Speaker 1: Yeah, again, we get logan Paul versus rayam Stereo. I
- 2:18:33Speaker 1: know it's a little different now Logan's with the Vision,
- 2:18:37Speaker 1: but I I'm like, we're running this back again, Ray
- 2:18:42Speaker 1: and Logan Paul again, and is he with the Vision?
- 2:18:46Speaker 2: I think so.
- 2:18:47Speaker 1: Man, he's been there the past couple of weeks.
- 2:18:50Speaker 3: All right, Yeah, he's pretty much been with them since
- 2:18:52Speaker 3: War Games. Man, since War Games? Yeah, I assume.
- 2:18:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean because like when when we had Use
- 2:19:00Speaker 1: and Reed come back from injury, he need to join
- 2:19:03Speaker 1: with the bloodline again. But yeah, like it seems like this,
- 2:19:08Speaker 1: this is sticking after war Games and not a lot
- 2:19:11Speaker 1: of not a lot of team ups stick together after
- 2:19:13Speaker 1: war games. Normally they go their separate ways.
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: But uh yeah.
- 2:19:21Speaker 1: Also on would you guys like to hear SmackDown spoilers
- 2:19:28Speaker 1: considering it's kind of on live right now, it'd be
- 2:19:33Speaker 1: ending in five minutes, five minutes or do you guys
- 2:19:38Speaker 1: not want to know? Do you guys want to keep
- 2:19:40Speaker 1: it to yourselves?
- 2:19:42Speaker 6: Well?
- 2:19:42Speaker 2: I do plan on actually watching the smackdowns on.
- 2:19:45Speaker 1: I won't spoil it. I won't spoil it for everybody,
- 2:19:48Speaker 1: you know what, because it'll make you have to go
- 2:19:50Speaker 1: and look for it and watch it.
- 2:19:51Speaker 2: How about that?
- 2:19:53Speaker 1: And we've been we've been running late anyway. But you
- 2:19:57Speaker 1: know what, before we go, I want to try to
- 2:20:00Speaker 1: squeeze in something on the bracket, try to squeeze something
- 2:20:05Speaker 1: in all right, now we all know it's the is
- 2:20:14Speaker 1: it the recent anniversary or not recent anniversary? But was
- 2:20:17Speaker 1: it like the past few days, one of the few
- 2:20:20Speaker 1: days of Brett that famous match with Brett Hart and Goldberg? Right,
- 2:20:25Speaker 1: it made me think, oh, yeah, I have a match,
- 2:20:30Speaker 1: fantasy match, Brett Hart versus Kurt Angle right, and then
- 2:20:41Speaker 1: I had Goldberg versus Stone Cold Steve Austin. Now when
- 2:20:51Speaker 1: it comes to picking out Goldberg versus Stone Cold Steve Austin,
- 2:20:57Speaker 1: are are you you guys thinking your head Goldberg like
- 2:21:00Speaker 1: two thousand and four coming to WW are you thinking
- 2:21:03Speaker 1: just WCW. Goldberg? The streak is alive still? You know
- 2:21:08Speaker 1: Stone Cold Steve Austin, you know peak attitude era before
- 2:21:14Speaker 1: he originally left the company, you know two thousand and two,
- 2:21:19Speaker 1: would I would think, you know, these are two wrestlers
- 2:21:25Speaker 1: who were on different shows and never had the opportunity
- 2:21:29Speaker 1: to cross paths. And when they were on the same roster,
- 2:21:34Speaker 1: Stone Cold wasn't wrestling. He was a co general manager.
- 2:21:38Speaker 1: I believe maybe at the time during Goldberg's one run
- 2:21:43Speaker 1: in two thousand and four, and then when Goldberg returned,
- 2:21:50Speaker 1: I you know, stone Colt was long.
- 2:21:52Speaker 2: Gone, and well Goldberg did take a stunner from stone
- 2:21:58Speaker 2: Cold Steve Boston.
- 2:21:59Speaker 1: We did see that, yep.
- 2:22:00Speaker 2: At Wrestling One in the match after the match for
- 2:22:03Speaker 2: brock Lessner.
- 2:22:04Speaker 1: Yep, I did see that. That's really all they kind
- 2:22:10Speaker 1: of crossed pass right. I don't really remember them ever.
- 2:22:14Speaker 3: Pretty much the only time they really that's the only
- 2:22:16Speaker 3: time they crossed the pass. Because Austin came back. Austin
- 2:22:20Speaker 3: was obreadly already retired. He just came back as the
- 2:22:23Speaker 3: special guest referee for that match. Yeah, he got a
- 2:22:27Speaker 3: little bit of act. We got a little bit of
- 2:22:29Speaker 3: a mix up with Austin and brock Lesner going leading
- 2:22:32Speaker 3: into that match where I think Austin whooped brock lessons
- 2:22:35Speaker 3: ass a little bit after something leading up to that match,
- 2:22:39Speaker 3: and then, like I said, obviously the match after themselves,
- 2:22:43Speaker 3: both Lessner and Goldberg caught stunners because the fans pretty
- 2:22:49Speaker 3: much hated both of them because both of them were
- 2:22:51Speaker 3: leaving after that match. Rock was leaving WW for UFC,
- 2:22:56Speaker 3: remember he obviously flipped off the audience on the way
- 2:22:59Speaker 3: out and then ate the stunt and then Goldberg that
- 2:23:01Speaker 3: was the last day on his run, which was a
- 2:23:06Speaker 3: lackluster ass run that first run of two thousand and four,
- 2:23:10Speaker 3: because it didn't live up to expectations, so fans weren't
- 2:23:13Speaker 3: too happy with.
- 2:23:14Speaker 2: Him either, and the match itself sucked right all right?
- 2:23:21Speaker 1: Now, I want to test pace on Kurt Angle and
- 2:23:25Speaker 1: Brett Hart, who man, both these guys in their prime.
- 2:23:31Speaker 1: I would have loved to have seen this freaking match.
- 2:23:34Speaker 1: This would have been a really good match. I don't
- 2:23:36Speaker 1: even know who would even have gone over in this match.
- 2:23:40Speaker 1: As we know, Brett Hart retired October in two thousand
- 2:23:47Speaker 1: after being released by WCWD to a severe concussion suffering
- 2:23:51Speaker 1: from a kick by Bill Goldberg in late nineteen ninety nine,
- 2:23:56Speaker 1: forcing him out of retirement permanently.
- 2:24:00Speaker 6: Uh forcing him into retirement, forcing.
- 2:24:02Speaker 1: Him into retirement. Sorry, so I said, out of retirement
- 2:24:06Speaker 1: into retirement, And uh yeah, we we remember him briefly
- 2:24:11Speaker 1: coming back and winning the United States title and helping
- 2:24:15Speaker 1: beat Nexus. I try not to think about that. And
- 2:24:19Speaker 1: then didn't he wrestle Vince?
- 2:24:23Speaker 6: I think yes, here and he came back to the company. Yeah,
- 2:24:27Speaker 6: get inducted into the Hall of Fame, right, but like
- 2:24:31Speaker 6: you know him and all of the hearts came out
- 2:24:33Speaker 6: to help him.
- 2:24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I do recall that. So you know, we're talking like,
- 2:24:40Speaker 1: let's say we'll pluck Bret Hart out from the late nineties, right,
- 2:24:46Speaker 1: and then the thing with Kurd Angle. Kerdanngle retired April seventh,
- 2:24:50Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, losing the Baron Corbyn. Baron Corbyn.
- 2:24:55Speaker 2: Uh.
- 2:24:57Speaker 1: But a lot of people sorry, there's a lot car
- 2:25:00Speaker 1: going by my house. A lot of people would say
- 2:25:02Speaker 1: that Current Angle's best years were in TNA. And I
- 2:25:07Speaker 1: didn't watch a lot of TNA back when Current Angles
- 2:25:10Speaker 1: in but I hear it from a lot of different
- 2:25:14Speaker 1: people who did watch TNA and who did watch ww
- 2:25:18Speaker 1: and saying his best years were in TNA. Do you
- 2:25:23Speaker 1: guys ever catch some of his stuff in TNA? Nope, nope, Okay,
- 2:25:29Speaker 1: Carls learn it out. Yeah, But I mean it's this
- 2:25:34Speaker 1: is one of those things where like, hey, like if
- 2:25:36Speaker 1: WW ever acquires TNA, you know, in full, and we
- 2:25:41Speaker 1: get that library man that right there. I mean, wherever
- 2:25:46Speaker 1: it is, Peacock, you know, Hulu, wherever Netflix wherever. We're
- 2:25:50Speaker 1: gonna have the WW library adding TNA content to it
- 2:25:55Speaker 1: one day. That would open up a whole lot of
- 2:25:58Speaker 1: you know, stuff i'd want to watch, you know, not
- 2:26:00Speaker 1: just you know AJ styles, but also like I want
- 2:26:04Speaker 1: to see some Kurt angle, you know, but you know,
- 2:26:10Speaker 1: WW it's for me. It's like when he's doing you know,
- 2:26:15Speaker 1: feuds with Crispin Wa and Eddie Guerrero and brock Lessner.
- 2:26:21Speaker 1: You know, that's when I'm thinking, you know, when he's
- 2:26:24Speaker 1: peak angle for me, you know, put him in the
- 2:26:27Speaker 1: ring with late nineties Brett Hart. You know, that's something
- 2:26:35Speaker 1: I think I would want to see that over Goldberg
- 2:26:39Speaker 1: and stone Cold. But I want to get your guys opinion, Dre,
- 2:26:43Speaker 1: what's your opinion? Man this pick what fantasy match would
- 2:26:46Speaker 1: you want to see?
- 2:26:48Speaker 3: I mean the obviously answers Brett Hart versus Kurt angle,
- 2:26:52Speaker 3: like Goldberg prime Goldberg. For one, there's only one Prime
- 2:26:57Speaker 3: Goldberg and that's his w CW run defeat, a streak
- 2:27:01Speaker 3: up until when he lost the World Heavyweight title to
- 2:27:08Speaker 3: Kevin nash At Like, how was that Halloween havoc or starcade?
- 2:27:13Speaker 3: When he lost Stark It was one of the two
- 2:27:16Speaker 3: when he lost the title to Kevin Nash and because
- 2:27:20Speaker 3: he got the cattle Prode from Scott Hall that took
- 2:27:23Speaker 3: him out. But prime Goldberg is that run from the
- 2:27:28Speaker 3: debut to the end of the streak. That's prime Goldberg.
- 2:27:32Speaker 3: That's what his legacy is built on. That's what everybody celebrates.
- 2:27:35Speaker 3: That's what everybody wanted to see when he came to WWE.
- 2:27:38Speaker 3: That's why people were disappointed in his first running w
- 2:27:41Speaker 3: W because he didn't get that and he wasn't just
- 2:27:44Speaker 3: smashing people. He was actually having long, drawn out matches,
- 2:27:49Speaker 3: which was not Goldberg's forte because he's not that great
- 2:27:52Speaker 3: of a wrestler, never has been. But that's prime Goldberg,
- 2:27:57Speaker 3: prime stone Cold.
- 2:27:58Speaker 2: We all know what that is. It's attitude era.
- 2:28:02Speaker 3: Those two are two very conflicting styles, and I don't
- 2:28:06Speaker 3: know how you make a good match out of that,
- 2:28:10Speaker 3: out of a guy who squashes people in less than
- 2:28:12Speaker 3: five minutes versus this badass brawler of a champion. What
- 2:28:19Speaker 3: Goldberg gets his offense and Stone Cold kicks out, then
- 2:28:22Speaker 3: what's Goldberg got left?
- 2:28:24Speaker 2: You know?
- 2:28:24Speaker 3: Like, I feel like the only way that match would
- 2:28:27Speaker 3: work it'd be less than ten minutes.
- 2:28:29Speaker 2: Whereas you give.
- 2:28:31Speaker 3: Us prime Brett Hart and prime Kurd Angle, you can
- 2:28:37Speaker 3: have an Iron Man match. That would be a fucking classic.
- 2:28:41Speaker 3: It would be an absolute wrestling classic. And for me,
- 2:28:46Speaker 3: from what it's worth, my version of prime Kurd Angle
- 2:28:49Speaker 3: is two thousand is bald headed Kurd Angle around two
- 2:28:55Speaker 3: thousand two to two thousand and three. To me, that
- 2:28:59Speaker 3: that's my version of prime Kurt Angle. When he had
- 2:29:03Speaker 3: Team Angle, when he had world greatest tag team with Shelton,
- 2:29:05Speaker 3: Benjamin and Charlie has sat aside, that's my favorite version
- 2:29:09Speaker 3: of Kurt Angle. Yeah, you couldn't say yeah, you could
- 2:29:14Speaker 3: say late Attitude era. You know, his debut that first
- 2:29:17Speaker 3: rookie year Kurt Angle, when he still had the hair
- 2:29:20Speaker 3: was pretty great. But to me, when he went bald
- 2:29:23Speaker 3: and he was the undisputed champion, the peak that was
- 2:29:28Speaker 3: Kurt and his peak. So give me that one versus
- 2:29:32Speaker 3: Prime Brett Hart, which is obviously you know, when he's
- 2:29:35Speaker 3: the champion facing the company probably during the New Generation era.
- 2:29:40Speaker 3: Put those two together, it's a classic. It's an immediate classic.
- 2:29:43Speaker 3: So I'll take that all day.
- 2:29:50Speaker 6: Carlos, what about you, buddy, Yeah, we're gonna go with
- 2:29:55Speaker 6: Kurt Angle and and Bret Hart and Starkad was it
- 2:30:02Speaker 6: was Starkad.
- 2:30:03Speaker 2: Okay, it was stark ninety eight. Okay, Yeah, there's.
- 2:30:08Speaker 6: Nothing else that I can add more than Dre's already
- 2:30:11Speaker 6: said about that match. You know, Oberg kind of I
- 2:30:18Speaker 6: had like five moves of doom type of thing. So
- 2:30:24Speaker 6: after that, you know, he was probably winded. And what
- 2:30:26Speaker 6: else do you book from there? You know, it's pretty
- 2:30:30Speaker 6: much going to be a very boring match. So with
- 2:30:34Speaker 6: Kurt Angle and Brett Hart, you could pretty much go
- 2:30:36Speaker 6: anywhere with that match. It could be an all grappler match,
- 2:30:41Speaker 6: type of technician type of match. You can blend in
- 2:30:45Speaker 6: other things with that. You know, you could do a
- 2:30:47Speaker 6: lot of prop matches, like an equip match. I was
- 2:30:51Speaker 6: thinking what I was thinking, an iron Man match like
- 2:30:58Speaker 6: Dre already mentioned. So there's more possibilities with them. That's
- 2:31:04Speaker 6: the only answer here.
- 2:31:06Speaker 1: Yeah, And what's nice is these guys can they can
- 2:31:12Speaker 1: put on a good match. Even if it did we
- 2:31:14Speaker 1: don't have a crazy stipulation. Even if it's just a
- 2:31:17Speaker 1: normal match, you know you're gonna get a good quality match,
- 2:31:21Speaker 1: and it's one of those matches where it's like, ah,
- 2:31:23Speaker 1: that's gotta be a pay per view. You can't do
- 2:31:25Speaker 1: that on a raw, you know you can't do that. Well,
- 2:31:29Speaker 1: that's that's pl.
- 2:31:31Speaker 3: And not just a good match. You could get a
- 2:31:33Speaker 3: good feud out of those two, yeah, Like imagine it.
- 2:31:37Speaker 3: Like you could get like, you know, pro Canada Hill
- 2:31:41Speaker 3: Brett Hart versus Kurd Angle, American Olympic champion.
- 2:31:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and that can make for a good feud.
- 2:31:52Speaker 3: Or you can have arrogant ass heel Kurd Angle, you
- 2:31:57Speaker 3: know when he was you know, intensity integrity and tell
- 2:32:00Speaker 3: Jins that douchebag heel of a Kurt Angle versus traditional
- 2:32:04Speaker 3: babyface Brett Hard and it would work.
- 2:32:08Speaker 2: They we could literally do anything with those two and
- 2:32:11Speaker 2: it would work.
- 2:32:14Speaker 1: Man, this fantasy Master setting better and better.
- 2:32:20Speaker 6: X lot Goldberg. He took this match away from us.
- 2:32:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fucking true. I very much believe we could
- 2:32:31Speaker 1: have gotten if we got Kurt Angle versus Sean Michaels.
- 2:32:34Speaker 1: We could have gotten Kurt Angle versus Brett Hart.
- 2:32:39Speaker 3: Yeah, if Brett Hart had been forced into retirement, well
- 2:32:44Speaker 3: maybe maybe not because Duni. If Brett had not been
- 2:32:48Speaker 3: first into retirement and was able to wrestle, there's no
- 2:32:52Speaker 3: guarantee that after WCWS brought out that he comes back
- 2:32:55Speaker 3: to WWE, because.
- 2:32:56Speaker 2: Remember, those feelings were still very real for Brett hard
- 2:33:00Speaker 2: at that time.
- 2:33:01Speaker 3: He could have just done like what everybody else did,
- 2:33:04Speaker 3: is just sat home, collected the rest of his money,
- 2:33:07Speaker 3: and when he decided to wrestle again, he could have
- 2:33:08Speaker 3: done like Sting did of going to TNA or something.
- 2:33:11Speaker 1: Yep, yep, that would have been interesting, right.
- 2:33:14Speaker 3: So maybe we would have gotten Brett Harper's single in TNA,
- 2:33:18Speaker 3: but might not have gotten it in w w E.
- 2:33:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I feel like we would have. I feel
- 2:33:24Speaker 1: like with that those two type of guys, they would
- 2:33:26Speaker 1: have whoever had them in the company, they would have
- 2:33:31Speaker 1: whatever it took to get.
- 2:33:32Speaker 2: To that point.
- 2:33:33Speaker 1: Like, you're right, man, if it's the TNA, we would
- 2:33:36Speaker 1: have gotten it anyway.
- 2:33:40Speaker 2: Nice.
- 2:33:42Speaker 1: Well that's all I got, guys, Doyle Toil tre Trey.
- 2:33:50Speaker 1: Do you want to plug anything?
- 2:33:53Speaker 2: Nothing really to plug?
- 2:33:54Speaker 3: Just as always follow us on Instagram, Instagram, dot com,
- 2:33:58Speaker 3: Slash podcast, Championship Wrestling.
- 2:34:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Carlos anything you want to plug anything coming up?
- 2:34:07Speaker 6: Let's see. I did recently go on My friends Podcasts
- 2:34:12Speaker 6: are pat TV, where I did a review the top
- 2:34:20Speaker 6: three shows that I think of twenty twenty five that
- 2:34:23Speaker 6: I enjoyed on there. If people have time to look
- 2:34:27Speaker 6: that up on YouTube, it's only on YouTube, and our
- 2:34:31Speaker 6: pet video, I believe is this channel, and we talk
- 2:34:35Speaker 6: about that. We recently did our WrestleMania thirty seven show
- 2:34:40Speaker 6: if you haven't got a chance to listen or watch that,
- 2:34:45Speaker 6: and I believe we might be able to get out
- 2:34:48Speaker 6: at WrestleMania thirty eight. But I think it's going to
- 2:34:51Speaker 6: be people always ask us, what are the our favorite
- 2:34:57Speaker 6: top whatever five WrestleMania, So we're gonna actually take this
- 2:35:03Speaker 6: by like one through ten. So we're probably gonna do
- 2:35:10Speaker 6: our favorite top five matches from WrestleMania's one through ten.
- 2:35:15Speaker 6: If it doesn't come out, uh this next Saturday, the
- 2:35:20Speaker 6: twenty seventh, I think I'll have it out by before
- 2:35:24Speaker 6: New Year's if it's not the twenty seventh to twenty eighth,
- 2:35:28Speaker 6: but that should be coming out shortly. They just gotta
- 2:35:31Speaker 6: finalize the the recording.
- 2:35:35Speaker 3: Nice and I just saw a spoiler from SmackDown, so
- 2:35:39Speaker 3: now I gotta watch it.
- 2:35:44Speaker 1: Look at that, I didn't give any spoilers.
- 2:35:47Speaker 2: Now you might as well just.
- 2:35:48Speaker 6: Say everything else.
- 2:35:49Speaker 3: Nope, because what no don't spoiler because I didn't say
- 2:35:52Speaker 3: what it was. I just said I saw a spoiler.
- 2:35:54Speaker 1: Oh man, it is a spoiler.
- 2:35:56Speaker 3: What it is is the spoilers saying shit and they're
- 2:36:00Speaker 3: going I saw it, and it makes me want to
- 2:36:04Speaker 3: tune in and watch.
- 2:36:05Speaker 1: Oh man, I bet, I bet I know what it is, Carlos.
- 2:36:07Speaker 1: It's the announcement of SmackDown going to three hours in January.
- 2:36:13Speaker 1: Back to three hours. Why why I would love if
- 2:36:20Speaker 1: ral was two hours SmackDown two hours.
- 2:36:24Speaker 6: I mean, well raw technically two hours. It's like two
- 2:36:27Speaker 6: hours twenty two hours and a half.
- 2:36:29Speaker 1: So yeah, I guess, I guess you're right trying to
- 2:36:33Speaker 1: stay positive. So man, I already I already knew all
- 2:36:38Speaker 1: the spoilers of SmackDown. I'm still gonna watch it. Though,
- 2:36:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch it. I'm I'm on my vacation that
- 2:36:44Speaker 1: just started, so I have like the next ten days off,
- 2:36:51Speaker 1: so it be, I know, right, super excited. So oh,
- 2:36:58Speaker 1: I just saw the spoiler that he's talking about. All
- 2:37:01Speaker 1: I had to go into the discord. Ah Doyle, Yeah, Doyle, Yeah,
- 2:37:09Speaker 1: this fucking guy not even on the show, and he
- 2:37:11Speaker 1: finds a way to Oh, you know, you know I
- 2:37:15Speaker 1: do have his He sent me some audio clip of
- 2:37:18Speaker 1: his opinion of Saturday Night main events. I'm gonna I'm
- 2:37:22Speaker 1: gonna send that to him, or I'm gonna not send him.
- 2:37:25Speaker 1: I want to put it on the show here at
- 2:37:27Speaker 1: the end, you know, at the end.
- 2:37:31Speaker 2: A big deal.
- 2:37:33Speaker 1: But that's all I got, Guys. I think we think
- 2:37:36Speaker 1: we've been on here long enough two and a half hours.
- 2:37:39Speaker 1: Let's get the fuck out of here. Ah mm hmmm.
- 2:38:04Speaker 14: Mm hmmm.
- 2:38:07Speaker 13: Mm hmmm.
- 2:38:09Speaker 11: Mm hmmm.
- 2:38:12Speaker 14: Mm hmmm.
- 2:38:16Speaker 2: Oh it's me. It's me.
- 2:38:17Speaker 11: It's a do o, I l e and I am
- 2:38:20Speaker 11: up to my ears in Christmas concerts. Uh yay, Uh,
- 2:38:27Speaker 11: I'm sorry, I have to phone in once again. Boys,
- 2:38:31Speaker 11: I stually really like Christmas music, but I don't like Christmas.
- 2:38:34Speaker 2: Figure that one out.
- 2:38:36Speaker 5: So we will get to of course, John Felix, Anthony
- 2:38:41Speaker 5: Sina for just a moment.
- 2:38:43Speaker 3: Uh.
- 2:38:43Speaker 1: But let's talk about the rest of Saturday Night's.
- 2:38:46Speaker 2: Main event before that.
- 2:38:49Speaker 15: First of all, way, way way too much Stephanie McMahon.
- 2:38:56Speaker 15: I mean, really, any stepan I command is too much
- 2:38:58Speaker 15: Downie McMahon.
- 2:39:00Speaker 2: A holy fuck.
- 2:39:02Speaker 5: Do I never need to see that lady on my TV?
- 2:39:04Speaker 5: Srade ever again.
- 2:39:07Speaker 16: Anyway, So the first match we had, uh well, probably
- 2:39:11Speaker 16: the biggest stuff of.
- 2:39:12Speaker 5: The premium matches anyway, with Cody versus Obey And if
- 2:39:18Speaker 5: somebody called it.
- 2:39:19Speaker 15: I think it was ready called Drew interfearing, and yeah,
- 2:39:23Speaker 15: I mean that seems kind of obvious.
- 2:39:25Speaker 12: Uh.
- 2:39:25Speaker 5: The only problem I had with that is that Cody
- 2:39:28Speaker 5: was getting.
- 2:39:29Speaker 15: His ass kid Like, if a heel's gonna interfere in
- 2:39:33Speaker 15: a match, shouldn't the baby face be winning?
- 2:39:37Speaker 5: And like, shouldn't a triumphant babyface I'm sorry or heroic
- 2:39:42Speaker 5: baby face, white meat baby face, which is what Cody's
- 2:39:44Speaker 5: supposed to be. Wouldn't he have not wanted to accept
- 2:39:48Speaker 5: a win in that matter? Wouldn't he wanted to have
- 2:39:51Speaker 5: the match restarted or something like that?
- 2:39:53Speaker 8: Uh?
- 2:39:55Speaker 7: I digress, But yeah, I mean maybe a sense of
- 2:39:58Speaker 7: the word, you can't have Obafemi jan and his you know,
- 2:40:03Speaker 7: big debut or biggest match thus far anyway, and he
- 2:40:08Speaker 7: certainly camp every world champion pinned by a minor leaguer
- 2:40:12Speaker 7: so called sounds a fun match.
- 2:40:15Speaker 5: But I just I kind of felt like the Drew
- 2:40:19Speaker 5: interfair It should have happened at a moment where Kobe.
- 2:40:21Speaker 16: Had the upper hand, and I think he was I
- 2:40:23Speaker 16: need to ask.
- 2:40:27Speaker 5: Then we went on to uh Ruka versus Bailey. The thing,
- 2:40:30Speaker 5: the match I said would be the match of the night,
- 2:40:31Speaker 5: and I'm gonna stand and buy that.
- 2:40:33Speaker 2: I think this was the.
- 2:40:35Speaker 5: Best match of the night, real fun. I mean, obviously,
- 2:40:39Speaker 5: sul Ruka is incredible.
- 2:40:41Speaker 11: Uh should be a major player, I think, hopefully.
- 2:40:46Speaker 5: I think, I know. It's just kind of afraid she's
- 2:40:48Speaker 5: a star that they burn bright quick.
- 2:40:51Speaker 2: She might need to.
- 2:40:54Speaker 5: Adapt to wring style a little bit, make it a
- 2:40:56Speaker 5: little safer. I mean, she could do some shit that
- 2:40:59Speaker 5: nobody else can do, which is awesome. I just kind
- 2:41:03Speaker 5: of fear for her long term ability to continue to
- 2:41:07Speaker 5: prefend the play.
- 2:41:10Speaker 16: Cool moment after the pin.
- 2:41:12Speaker 9: I don't think the camera was supposed to catch this,
- 2:41:14Speaker 9: but huge, huge grand on Bailey's face.
- 2:41:19Speaker 5: Actually, Mate was probably Pam, not Bailey.
- 2:41:22Speaker 4: Maybe a little moment that wasn't supposed to make it
- 2:41:26Speaker 4: play out of the television screen, but still a cool moment.
- 2:41:28Speaker 4: I mean, he knew Bailey, which is fucking over the
- 2:41:30Speaker 4: moon her over.
- 2:41:34Speaker 2: Rightley.
- 2:41:34Speaker 14: So I mean she's great, Bailey's great quice. I mean,
- 2:41:37Speaker 14: what more can we say about her? But Yeah, really
- 2:41:41Speaker 14: fun match. It led into the tag match a j Lee.
- 2:41:48Speaker 5: Versus Javon Evans and Leon Slater.
- 2:41:52Speaker 13: I want to say that it was not real familiar
- 2:41:54Speaker 13: with him, but you know, this was a very fun
- 2:41:59Speaker 13: match match. What was it only a little over five minutes?
- 2:42:02Speaker 5: Like we couldn't have found these guys another few minutes
- 2:42:06Speaker 5: to get some stuff in.
- 2:42:08Speaker 17: Still a fun match, kind of almost a Luca style match,
- 2:42:12Speaker 17: which is cool. Like I said, I just kind of
- 2:42:15Speaker 17: wish they had had a little more time. Uh maybe
- 2:42:21Speaker 17: because things were so rushed. Some things kind of felt a.
- 2:42:25Speaker 18: Little deliberate maybe, but whatever, so fun kind.
- 2:42:30Speaker 15: Of car crashy sort of you know, fly people fly
- 2:42:33Speaker 15: and everywhere sort of match that was fun.
- 2:42:36Speaker 5: And then the main event of.
- 2:42:38Speaker 4: Saturday Night's main event, the last time is now where
- 2:42:42Speaker 4: it was anyway, Yeah, I mean this this.
- 2:42:45Speaker 10: Was fun enough that this went almost exactly how I
- 2:42:48Speaker 10: thought it would and should. And really the only nitpick
- 2:42:53Speaker 10: I would have is that I thought, uh seen them
- 2:42:56Speaker 10: might have tried to get out of that last sleep
- 2:42:59Speaker 10: or a second time before, you know.
- 2:43:02Speaker 15: Kind of resigning his state. And that's basically what I
- 2:43:06Speaker 15: think the smirk was. You know, somebody's polarizing.
- 2:43:12Speaker 4: As John Cena we see his last match, it's only
- 2:43:15Speaker 4: appropriate that they finished his last match is incredibly polarized.
- 2:43:19Speaker 5: And some people hated it, some people loved it.
- 2:43:21Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 2:43:22Speaker 15: I thought the smirk was perfect and it was you know,
- 2:43:25Speaker 15: it was him just saying, look, I don't have any more,
- 2:43:27Speaker 15: I'm not getting out of this, I'm done, you know.
- 2:43:31Speaker 5: And I thought that worked brilliantly. Kind of expected more
- 2:43:35Speaker 5: after the match that we got.
- 2:43:38Speaker 16: But at the same time, I wouldn't have changed it either,
- 2:43:43Speaker 16: you know, maybe a speech or something might have been
- 2:43:46Speaker 16: felt too forced or whatever.
- 2:43:49Speaker 5: Of course, and I'm sure we've mentioned you guys were mentioned.
- 2:43:51Speaker 6: And we saw Vince McMahon for the first.
- 2:43:54Speaker 5: Time quite a while.
- 2:43:55Speaker 19: Granted it was, you know, an older video clip, but
- 2:44:02Speaker 19: I don't know, maybe this is a soft launch of
- 2:44:05Speaker 19: reintroducing Vincepeck.
- 2:44:07Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 2:44:08Speaker 15: Uh that would be if I said, you monitor going forward,
- 2:44:13Speaker 15: I mean ship and have you erase that guy from
- 2:44:15Speaker 15: your history, even if.
- 2:44:17Speaker 2: You wanted to.
- 2:44:18Speaker 9: Uh yeah, I mean good for Johnson and going out
- 2:44:23Speaker 9: the way he did. If anybody deserves it him, you know,
- 2:44:28Speaker 9: I'm for me, not the greatest of all time. But
- 2:44:32Speaker 9: certainly someone that ought.
- 2:44:33Speaker 18: To be in the discussion. I mean, ship, how can
- 2:44:35Speaker 18: you not leave out the guy with the most championships
- 2:44:40Speaker 18: and you know, beyond that, the make a wish stuff. Yeah,
- 2:44:45Speaker 18: just a fucking good guy.
- 2:44:46Speaker 9: He seems like h and that One of the things
- 2:44:50Speaker 9: I have really enjoyed the most about this you tire
- 2:44:51Speaker 9: before is just the derth of.
- 2:44:55Speaker 5: Both new interview clips of him and kind of strange
- 2:45:00Speaker 5: old stuff resurfacing.
- 2:45:03Speaker 16: There's a couple, there's there's a uh.
- 2:45:06Speaker 9: I think I shared it in the discord months ago,
- 2:45:08Speaker 9: but there was an interesting video of him talking.
- 2:45:10Speaker 10: About food, and like, I didn't realize he's such a
- 2:45:13Speaker 10: he's a huge coffee snot apparently, he's.
- 2:45:16Speaker 19: Just he contains multitudes, and not just because he's a
- 2:45:19Speaker 19: fellow asshole.
- 2:45:21Speaker 10: And by the way, guys, I can say masshole.
- 2:45:25Speaker 5: You guys can't say masshole. That's one of those things.
- 2:45:28Speaker 5: But just it's just a great guy. Seems like contains multitudes.
- 2:45:34Speaker 5: And you know, I was always a I hated super
- 2:45:37Speaker 5: seen a kind of guy, you know, But now that he's.
- 2:45:39Speaker 15: Gone, now he's left us, and you can kind of
- 2:45:42Speaker 15: look at the career and it's totality.
- 2:45:46Speaker 2: Boy.
- 2:45:46Speaker 5: And you know he left us better than he found us,
- 2:45:50Speaker 5: shall we say?
- 2:45:51Speaker 1: Uh?
- 2:45:52Speaker 5: And that's really what you can ask for, so fairly well,
- 2:45:57Speaker 5: mister Sina, you will be missed.
- 2:46:00Speaker 16: I'm glad you were able to go out on your
- 2:46:01Speaker 16: own terms. Almost nobody gets to do that in the
- 2:46:06Speaker 16: rest of them, so good for him. And I guess
- 2:46:11Speaker 16: that's all I have to say about that.
- 2:46:14Speaker 1: Uh.
- 2:46:15Speaker 9: Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, happy, happy Kwanza, whatever the fuck.
- 2:46:20Speaker 11: Else you like.
- 2:46:21Speaker 5: If you do Festivus, happy that I'm gonna go.
- 2:46:27Speaker 2: Listen to more Christmas music.
- 2:46:28Speaker 5: Hey, I'll catch you guys on the next one.

- 2:47:14Speaker 13: six years, I improved everybody in the world that I
- 2:47:17Speaker 13: am the best on this microphone and in that break if.
- 2:47:21Speaker 1: Given in commentary, nobody.
- 2:47:23Speaker 2: Can touch me.
