- 3:42everybody's got their everybody's got their talent,
- 3:44haven't they? Yeah. Karen Rogers was the youngest
- 3:47female jockey to win at Belmont. Did you know
- 3:51that? No. Where's Belmont? In New York. New York.

- 4:12how comes I can't, can everybody else see everybody
- 4:14else? Yes. Make the screen big. You know what,
- 4:19hey listen, Elaine, turn your phone 180 degrees
- 4:22and see if it fixes it for you. No. Flip it one
- 4:25more time. Nope, go the other way. Yeah, and
- 4:30then flip it one more time. See if that helps.
- 4:32No, it doesn't help at all. No, I've got nobody.
- 4:35No, I've only got, no, it's just you. And every
- 4:38now and again, somebody pops in. Only when they
- 4:41speak, huh? I don't know. Somebody speak and
- 4:45see if they come on. Hello? Oh, no, I can see,
- 4:49I can see, I can see the lady with the brown
- 4:52hair, the chestnut hair. Yeah, that's Karen.
- 4:56Yeah. All right, if you tap your screen, Elaine,
- 5:00do you have any options? Does it give you any
- 5:02kind of options? Let me see. It says, it just
- 5:08says, oh, hang on, mute, stop video, audio, participants.
- 5:13Can I pop that one? Should I push that one? Participants.
- 5:15Try it. Try it, see what happens. No, it just
- 5:20says there's five participants, six including
- 5:23the person that set it up. OK, then let's see
- 5:26down under video. Give us one second, guys. We're
- 5:29going to see if this is all new for us. Can everybody
- 5:34else see everybody else on their screen? Yeah,
- 5:36because they're on computers. If you were on
- 5:38your laptop, you might be able to see better.
- 5:41Oh, right. Maybe that's what it is. You see,
- 5:43I'm antiquated. Antiquated. No, laptops are antiquated.
- 5:49Phones are new. Well, I've got an iPhone 5. Well,
- 5:54that's an iPhone that's pretty new no no an iPhone

- 6:45i'm saying that Oh, I know. All you can see is
- 6:48my teeth. So listen, the one of a night time
- 6:58when I smile, all you can see is my teeth. Everybody
- 7:01takes a mickey out of my teeth. I'm sort of like,
- 7:04you know, fitting them in for a horse or something.
- 7:08But yeah, you're hilarious. I didn't say yes,
- 7:11I didn't say yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So

- 7:29you guys mean to us? We when we do these studies
- 7:33together, we kind of we look forward to those
- 7:35comments We look forward to hear what you guys
- 7:37have to say or anything that you know comes in
- 7:39I never knew that this is what job was about
- 7:44I've always Chris Olson, a friend of mine said
- 7:49this is one of those flyover books. You just
- 7:51read through it and just keep going because you
- 7:53always thought you knew what it was. But that
- 7:56didn't happen this time. And I think a lot of
- 7:58it had to do with the grief and the suffering
- 8:00and all the stuff that was going on, but also
- 8:02just laying it before the Lord and really slowing
- 8:04down with Elaine. And Elaine loves to dig into
- 8:06words and letters and really gets into it. And
- 8:11so that has been life changing for me. This book
- 8:17has been life changing for me. And so thank you
- 8:22guys for being here with us. Absolutely. And
- 8:25again, for me, I mean, as I say, I don't really
- 8:28get comments because I just don't. Rick gets
- 8:32them his end. So I rely on Rick filling me in
- 8:36sort of thing. But yeah, I love you all. I just
- 8:41wish that I could read the comments at the same
- 8:43time as Rick does, but I can't. But don't ever
- 8:47think, because I don't ever reply, if Rick's
- 8:49sort of, I can't. And I have to wait until we
- 8:54get together like this to be able to say, well,
- 8:57I know that you're there, Rick reads the comments
- 8:59to me, and yeah, I don't get to see them. When
- 9:02she comes to America in August, I'm buying her
- 9:05a new iPhone With an Apple ID and she's going
- 9:08to be able to do all this Well, actually I've

- 9:23she showed me that has actually has got a bigger
- 9:25screen Which means you probably could see everybody
- 9:28All right, Cameron just said he's on the way
- 9:31so they're getting ready to jump in. Oh Excellent.

- 9:56like a little brown haired Jiminy Cricket. Brown
- 10:01haired. Always let your conscience be your guide.
- 10:06No, no, no. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide.
- 10:10Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Conscious Holy
- 10:13Spirit. Same spirit. Yeah, no, not your conscience.
- 10:17That really can get you into trouble. Let's see.

- 12:49how I met them. Oh, in North Carolina? Yeah.
- 12:54Where are you, Karen? I'm in New Jersey. Oh,
- 12:58right, you're sort of up there. What's that?
- 13:01Yeah, I'm in the Northeast. Oh, right. That's
- 13:06up by New York way, isn't it? Yes, yes, yes.
- 13:10Right. I mean, you've got to remember, I'm not
- 13:11particularly au fait with America because I don't
- 13:13live there too much, but I know it's up there.
- 13:15Where are you in? You're in England or Spain?
- 13:18I'm in Spain at the moment. I should be in England
- 13:20in a few days' time. But I live... Have you ever
- 13:27heard of Alicante? Oh, wow. Is that in Spain
- 13:30or England? Spain. Sorry. There's Jalen and C3.
- 13:37Hey, buddy. Yes. Okay. So Jalen, I am recording
- 13:44this. Is that going to be a problem with C3 being
- 13:47on here? Oh, yes. Okay. Sorry. Henry was trying
- 13:51to explain that to me. My bad. I did not understand
- 13:54that. Yes. I'll put him in his jumper real quick.
- 13:56I'll be right back. No problem. I just didn't,
- 13:59I know how they feel about not wanting the baby.
- 14:01I was about to say that, so thank you. You were
- 14:05ignoring me. I apologize, I'm just in my own
- 14:08little world. It's all good. Whenever, just so
- 14:12you guys know, whenever I put this out, I will
- 14:15blur his face, okay? Thank you. Thank you. Absolutely.
- 14:23So everyone's from North Carolina except for
- 14:28Elaine and you. Oh, Bobby and Cheryl, and me.
- 14:34You're from Texas. What part of Texas? Near Abilene.
- 14:42I have a friend in Ozono, but that's way out
- 14:44there. Yeah. Central. Yeah, Ozono, South of Ozono,
- 14:49Nottingham, yeah. So I just got a text from Cherry.
- 14:56She said, I am covered in black muck. I don't
- 14:59think you guys want to see me in your video.
- 15:01She was working on her camper. I was like, hop
- 15:04on. We want to see your nasty face. So does anybody
- 15:10have any questions or any comments or anything
- 15:13that you guys do in the job study? I know some
- 15:15of you probably have only just started or may
- 15:17not have heard anything at all, or maybe you
- 15:20want to get into this study later and you want
- 15:22to ask questions about the book. because those
- 15:25of us who have been through this whole journey
- 15:26know that we went in deep in this book. There's
- 15:31a lot to it. Does anybody have anything at all?
- 15:34This is what the live Q &A is for. Have you got
- 15:39any questions? Have you got anything that you
- 15:41can add to anything or anything that you sort
- 15:44of didn't agree with or something that you found
- 15:48that you could have gone in a different direction
- 15:50or something like that? Anybody anybody See,
- 16:00can I just tell you I can't see everybody you
- 16:03can see everybody on your screen I can't so if
- 16:06I look a bit vague is because I can't I can't
- 16:08see everybody So if if Elaine looks a little
- 16:16dense Okay, what's that? I didn't follow the
- 16:26whole thing. I just saw the last one and I thought
- 16:28it was really good, but I'm familiar with the
- 16:31book. So why do you think God waited till the
- 16:33very, very end to show up and humble Job? Why
- 16:36do you think he waited to the very end? Did you
- 16:38cover that? That's a great question. Have you
- 16:41got any? Have you got any thoughts on that? Is
- 16:43that why you brought it up? Karen? No. My opinion
- 16:50of the book, and I like what you guys said at
- 16:52the end, it made a lot of sense to me that when
- 16:55I heard Rick saying that he accepted the others
- 16:57were like the Gentiles because of him, I like
- 17:00that Israel thing, which I never had seen before.
- 17:03My thing with the book was I always thought that
- 17:07God was basically humbling Job. He thought he
- 17:11was all that. And then finally, And he's like,
- 17:14now listen to me, you know, you're, you're just
- 17:16flesh. So that's the way see a lot of people
- 17:18think he was so righteous. And in my opinion,
- 17:21I didn't really go through the book deeply was
- 17:22that God was showing him that only he's God.
- 17:27And aside from Christ, we're nothing even though,
- 17:30you know, because he was basically his works.
- 17:32He was righteous, righteous, right? Well, I'm
- 17:33great. I'm great. And people think, you know,
- 17:36when they talk about job, they say, Oh, job was
- 17:37so righteous, but what I took from it was the
- 17:41end part where God was humbling him and saying,
- 17:43and then he said, oh my gosh, yeah, you're right,
- 17:45I'm humble. He let him go through all that to
- 17:47be a humble man again and to see his need for
- 17:50Christ. Do you think, do you think that right
- 17:53at the very beginning where it says there that
- 17:55do you know that Job is a righteous man, he's
- 17:58upright and blameless? So again, God already
- 18:01understood Job's heart. He already knew Joe's
- 18:04heart. But nobody is righteous except through
- 18:06Christ. That's what I take from the book because
- 18:10of the end. Best righteousness is not righteous
- 18:15unless you have Christ. 100%. 100%. I don't think
- 18:20he said righteous, actually. I think he said
- 18:21upright. Upright, yep. Upright and blameless.
- 18:25So therefore, God already knew the character
- 18:27of the man. He didn't turn around and say, well,
- 18:29actually, he's a sinner. He's not really much
- 18:31caught and he needs humbling. He actually said,
- 18:34if you set my sight on my servant Job, that he's
- 18:37upright and blameless. So therefore God would
- 18:40already assess the character of the man. I think
- 18:42for me, I don't think that he was trying to bring
- 18:46Job down. I think he was taking Job forward in
- 18:48the relationship, because Job already had an
- 18:52external relationship with God. But I think that's
- 19:00what he knew. But I think because God knew that
- 19:02he was an upright and blameless man, I think
- 19:04God wanted to take him forward. And sometimes,
- 19:07you know, in deep trauma, these are the times
- 19:10that we learn things about ourselves, other people,
- 19:13and also about where God is taking us. So for
- 19:17me, it was a journey of revelation for everybody.
- 19:23It wasn't necessarily just about Job. It was
- 19:26about Satan watching what was going on. It was
- 19:28about God going to come in at the end. It was
- 19:31about the three comforters that were sitting
- 19:34there. Their characters were exposed. Elihu,
- 19:37the young man. Again, it reminded me really of
- 19:40Paul with Timothy. He said, don't let anybody
- 19:41look down on your youth. So again, there's a
- 19:45lot going on there where everybody is learning
- 19:49something, Karen. Yeah, I mean, not going through
- 19:53the study with you, my take was always that even
- 19:55the most upright and the most righteous, he took
- 19:58the most working, the most wonderful, and he
- 20:01put him down to say, you're nothing. Basically,
- 20:05our works are kind of like filthy rags unless
- 20:08we have Christ. That was my picture of the book
- 20:11without, but I didn't go through it with you,
- 20:12so I don't know. I liked how you put the end
- 20:14together, that's all I heard. I think, again,
- 20:18what is the whole point of Job? Is it to sort
- 20:21of bring him down and to put him in his place?
- 20:27Or once again, like I say, is it for Satan to
- 20:30understand that really, if somebody says that
- 20:34they love the Lord and they are not going to
- 20:37blaspheme, they're not going to turn away, they're
- 20:38not going to curse God, they're not going to
- 20:39do any of that. And that was one thing that's,
- 20:42it's a bit like, satan again with christ wouldn't
- 20:45it they you know trying to get rid of him put
- 20:47him on the cross and thought he was gonna that
- 20:49was it that was the end of him but he didn't
- 20:51realize it but actually that was the salvation
- 20:53of us it's it you know you we can see things
- 20:57from the outside you know and we look at things
- 21:00but when you when you go deeply into the character
- 21:02do you think he was self -righteous or do you
- 21:04think he he was okay to say how great he was
- 21:07that's my question i don't think he was saying
- 21:09how great he was i think what he was saying was
- 21:11he couldn't work out because what you could determine
- 21:13to say is a just god a just god it would repay
- 21:17something to someone if they'd done something
- 21:19and that was the whole idea of the three that
- 21:21were accusing Job of being unrighteous or a sinner
- 21:25in some shape or form because in the eyes of
- 21:29the men they were saying, well, look, at the
- 21:32end of the day, if God is a just God, and you're
- 21:35being punished for this, or you look like you're
- 21:37being punished because, you know, your children
- 21:40are gone, your livestock's gone, your family,
- 21:43basically everything's gone, now you're in this
- 21:45position. Well, if God is just, why is he doing
- 21:47this to you? So their reasoning was, you must
- 21:50have deserved it. You must have done something.
- 21:54And that was the whole - Yeah, but even the most
- 21:55righteous people in the world don't get an easy
- 21:57ride. So that's not really a good, like, Even
- 22:00great people horrible things happen to them.
- 22:03So that doesn't mean God isn't just well, that's
- 22:05that was the point of his three friends Yeah,
- 22:08his three friends would say no he he's going
- 22:10to you know, God is going to judge these people.
- 22:13Yeah Yeah, we talked about that. Is that those
- 22:17three shouldn't say cuz I didn't follow it. So
- 22:20well, no, but it's okay that you're asking It's
- 22:22very difficult for you to come in and say these
- 22:25things when the study was over six months, really,
- 22:28or whatever. And we went into that type of thing
- 22:31in great detail, Karen. That's the - Right. I
- 22:34didn't even know you had the study personally.
- 22:36I got the last one because I had just joined
- 22:38Patreon because when I had joined it a long time
- 22:40ago, they booted me and I got upset about that.
- 22:42So I didn't want to be on Patreon. Oh. And then
- 22:46somehow I got through. Yeah, they booted me without
- 22:48- I said, Rick, did you kick me off Patreon?
- 22:49He said, no. So I don't want to be part of, I
- 22:52don't know what happened, but. Well, yeah. I'm
- 22:57sure it was a mistake, Karen. Yeah. So I deals
- 23:00directly with Rick. I don't deal through Patreon.
- 23:02So that's why I didn't really know about the
- 23:03study. So anyway. That's how, see I've got Karen
- 23:07dealing directly through me. I got Elaine dealing
- 23:08directly through me. What is this? I'm the mediator.
- 23:12Well, to be honest with you, I mean, I would
- 23:14like, you don't have to be the hub of everything,
- 23:17but you just actually happen to be the hub of
- 23:19everything. of the hubba hubba of everything.
- 23:22Hey, guess what? Cherry Lewis is joining. I just
- 23:25saw her pop up. She's she doesn't have her video
- 23:28or is not unmuted yet. Let's see. There she is.
- 23:31Say hello, Cherry. Hi, how are y 'all? Can you
- 23:36just to let you know that I can't see every now
- 23:39and again, individuals sort of like come up on
- 23:41the screen, but mostly it's it's I get to look
- 23:44at that that movie that I look at all the time,
- 23:47which is Rick. That movie Are you calling me
- 23:54a cow? Hey, look with the shirt. Look at the
- 23:56shirt that cherries way wearing. Is that even
- 23:59Andy? It is even Andy even Andy Yeah, Andy Me
- 24:04and Andy have been on top of the camper Trying
- 24:09to fix a leak on my slide out and so I don't
- 24:11even know what I look like at this point except
- 24:14for I washed my hands so Well, thanks for jumping
- 24:20on. And all of you guys know that this is like
- 24:23a hop on hop off. Feel free to stay on the whole
- 24:25time. If you can't, it's totally understandable.
- 24:29The thing the thing I was going to say about
- 24:31Job, you know, when you think about Jesus Christ,
- 24:34who is coming from glory and then he comes down
- 24:38in the flesh and then he walks this earth and
- 24:41he has these humble, you know, this humble livelihood,
- 24:45right? He's he doesn't even have a home to lay
- 24:47his head. He's A nomad that's walking around
- 24:50from town to town. And then he goes, he has these
- 24:57amazing abilities that that the father has given
- 25:00him. The spirit is using him and driving him.
- 25:02But then he ends up going to a very brutal death
- 25:07and then he is buried. Right. And that's when
- 25:10you think about Job. Joe beforehand was kind
- 25:13of in the heights. He was he was up there. Everything
- 25:16was good. And then he was leveled and he was
- 25:19brought down very low into the dust and ashes.
- 25:23And then while he's in the dust and ashes, he
- 25:26goes through the three speech cycles. And then
- 25:33at the end of the book, after Elihu comes in,
- 25:36like I said, like a John the Baptist character
- 25:38to me, he's like or a prophet class character.
- 25:41It to me when you see job elevated that is showing
- 25:45how christ who was in the glory of the father
- 25:49before came to the humbleness of life and made
- 25:53himself a servant even to the death of a cross.
- 25:56And then he was elevated he is the king of the
- 25:59universe at the right hand of the father right
- 26:01so the whole story. In my opinion, this whole
- 26:05story is about Christ, but it's about Israel
- 26:07in Christ, I think, is what's going on. And I
- 26:10think it's told outside of the covenant line
- 26:12on purpose because it's going to bring in all
- 26:15of the, wow, look at all these people. This is
- 26:18amazing. Everybody just popped up on my screen.
- 26:20I don't know why I did it, but that's really
- 26:21cool. I can only see you again. I'm sorry. No,
- 26:27it's an extreme disappointment. It is. I can't
- 26:30help it. You sound like my wife. So is there.
- 26:36Oh, hello, Heather. Oh, so you saw Heather. She
- 26:40popped up for about a second and she disappeared.
- 26:42I don't know why they keep popping up. Oh, hello.
- 26:48You've popped up, Heather. Whoever speaks should
- 26:50pop up on your screen, Elaine. Oh, well, someone
- 26:54speak. Anybody else want to chip in? Yeah, if
- 26:56you don't mind. Go ahead. You know, I think we
- 27:02can get really to apply what we've been taught
- 27:06to scripture, especially in the Old Testament,
- 27:09but it wasn't necessarily written with what we
- 27:12call step logic or like Greek logic. So just
- 27:16because. Events happen one thing after another
- 27:19doesn't mean the original author was writing
- 27:22it for that purpose So I in the end of the chapter
- 27:25in the middle of the book all of those are incidents
- 27:27that the author of job was intending to be told
- 27:29but they exist in a separate entity of the So
- 27:33it's not necessarily this happened and this happened
- 27:36and this happened and that's why this happens
- 27:38It's these are the things that happened and these
- 27:41are the relationship with God and each individual
- 27:44happening And that's a Jewish mind. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:48yeah. That's called a block logic. That's a Jewish
- 27:51mind. Now, a Jew would look at it and you could
- 27:54have things that were put on after what really
- 27:57happened before. But it really doesn't matter
- 27:59about the order. It's about the content. And
- 28:02that's the whole thing. Sometimes they'll say,
- 28:04you know, so and so had a child and then sort
- 28:06of like all of a sudden they've gone from one
- 28:08child and they've got like 25. And you think,
- 28:11well, what happened in between? But the rest
- 28:12of it, that doesn't matter to a Jew. It's the
- 28:15information that's there. It doesn't really matter.
- 28:17When it's put in, it's the fact that it's put
- 28:19in there. And I think that's the thing. It's
- 28:21having a Jewish mind or a Greek mind. And the
- 28:23sad thing is a Greek mind wants to know the ins
- 28:25and outs of everything where a Jewish mind accepts
- 28:29what's being placed there and you go with what's
- 28:31being placed there. Obviously it has to sort
- 28:33of like jive with the rest of the scriptures.
- 28:36But at the end of the day, I totally agree with
- 28:38you, Cameron. Yeah, I think we have, especially
- 28:42Greek thinkers, we want to pull God into our
- 28:46realm and put human thoughts onto God. But Greek
- 28:49logic's great, but you have to accept that God
- 28:52is where morality and goodness comes from. So
- 28:55he's capable of anything else. And you got to
- 28:57work from there and go. Absolutely. And again,
- 29:01that's the whole thing. You know, it's the same
- 29:03thing with Job. I mean, you imagine, you know,
- 29:05it doesn't tell you, you know, do they eat? Do
- 29:07they go to the toilet? I mean, do they have a
- 29:09poo or wee? I don't know. I mean, don't tell
- 29:10you that, does it? You know, don't though, does
- 29:13it? You know, I mean, they're sitting there for
- 29:16seven days. You know, you would have thought
- 29:18they would have said, well, I've just got to
- 29:19go to the toilet. I've got, you know, just got
- 29:21to go to the bathroom or something. But again,
- 29:24it's not that, it's that don't matter. It's seven
- 29:25days sitting there and you just think, what were
- 29:27they doing for seven days? You know, but you
- 29:30accept it. The Bible says they were sitting there
- 29:32for seven days and then somebody starts talking.
- 29:34And they think that, well, that's probably enough
- 29:35really to sort of settle in and have this compassionate
- 29:38sort of viewpoint with him and, you know, just
- 29:40sit there and, you know, do the Jewish thing
- 29:42where we just comfort each other by not actually
- 29:45saying anything. And yeah, and then they go into
- 29:47it. So yeah, you know, all these little tiny
- 29:50things that you think that, you know, that you
- 29:52would do, I mean, they're not important to the
- 29:54story. It is, you know, what are you gleaning?
- 29:58from the whole thing. What is the whole thing
- 30:01from start to end telling you? And that's the
- 30:04thing. You know, Job starts off a very rich man
- 30:06and he ends up an even richer man. So you've
- 30:09got to say to yourself, how did you go from being
- 30:12rich to being very rich? You know, when you look
- 30:16like at the end of the day, Job looks like someone
- 30:18who's really, you know, well, like the comforters
- 30:22thinking you must have done something wrong.
- 30:24I mean, my house was flooded. We had a flood
- 30:26in Spain. six, seven years ago, 2019, just before
- 30:31COVID hit. And there was two meters of water
- 30:33in my home. And we lost every bit of furniture,
- 30:37every bit of clothing, everything like that.
- 30:39And you just think to yourself, what was my point,
- 30:41Rick? What did I do? What did I do wrong? Oh,
- 30:45that's right. This is it. And that's what somebody
- 30:47said to me. What did you do wrong? And I said,
- 30:50well, what makes you think I did anything wrong?
- 30:52Yeah, well, you got your house. I said, yeah,
- 30:54but there was like 96 ,000 other people suffer
- 30:56the same thing. You know, is God just going to
- 30:58attack me for $94 ,999 to suffer because of me?
- 31:04It's just one of those things. It just is, you
- 31:07know, you look through the Bible and I can guarantee
- 31:09you that most people that love God, they didn't
- 31:12have they didn't live a rosy life. I think that
- 31:15was the most for me when I first approached Job
- 31:18a long time ago, and the reason why I came back
- 31:21to it was because the first two chapters have
- 31:23always just shocked me. It just shocked me because
- 31:26I, you know, I guess that I had put, like Cameron
- 31:29said, you know, I tried to put God in a box and
- 31:32I couldn't understand why God would, when you
- 31:35think about this story, God is the one that brings
- 31:39up Job, you know, brings the attention of Job
- 31:43to this, you know, the satan, the adversary.
- 31:48About this courtroom again, aren't you? Yeah,
- 31:50and it's like, are you, you know, have you considered
- 31:53my servant Job? And then for God to allow him
- 31:55to say, sure, okay, you can take away all those
- 31:57things, but don't take his life. Right. And then
- 32:00a second time. like to entertain this again,
- 32:04like, oh, you even though you came against me,
- 32:06you see that Job still has not cursed me. He's
- 32:08still a blameless and upright man. Yes. Skin
- 32:11for skin. You know, to me, as I was reading that
- 32:14second chapter, I'm like, what is going on and
- 32:18why is something like I've heard enough Calvinism
- 32:20to know sovereignty discussion. Right. Like I
- 32:24when I first started reading this book, but I
- 32:26was like, this just doesn't even seem right.
- 32:28It doesn't seem right. Like I've got a I've got
- 32:31a hippie lovey Jesus, like in my brain, like
- 32:33at the time. And I didn't understand, like, how
- 32:36how does this work? And then I started thinking,
- 32:39well, if Job was offering sacrifices for his
- 32:44own children, I know as a father that I worry
- 32:47about my kids and I pray for my kids, you know,
- 32:50and and I'm thinking to myself, but but if God
- 32:55sees fit to do something with these children,
- 32:57just like what happened to my niece. to watch
- 33:01her parents go through this grief. When I talk
- 33:05to them today, they say things like, God has
- 33:09a purpose and a plan, but that doesn't mean I
- 33:11have to like it right now. And I was like, wow,
- 33:13I mean, that's very honest. So the first two
- 33:17chapters of Job just blew my mind. But then if
- 33:21you follow, as you go through it, I kept thinking,
- 33:24well, where's the Satan character? Where's the
- 33:26second character? He was in the mouth of the
- 33:28accusers. He was in the mouth of the ones that
- 33:30were saying things falsely against Job, like
- 33:33he never really went away. He was always there.
- 33:36But then, you know, it seems like as the cycle
- 33:40ends in this discussion, then Elihu comes in
- 33:44and he is on fire, like he is just burning with
- 33:48anger. Right. And that's why I don't know why,
- 33:53but it just all of a sudden I thought of John
- 33:55the Baptist like, you know, the axes laid at
- 33:56the tree, it's going to cut down, it's going
- 33:58to be thrown into the fire. You guys are a brood
- 34:00of vipers like he, you know. And then at the
- 34:04end, all got, you know, when God first starts
- 34:08talking, he's like, where were you when I made
- 34:09the world? And to me, I don't know if you guys
- 34:13ever feel this way, but I'm like, what the hell
- 34:15is going on? Like, I don't get it. Like, what
- 34:18is, have you guys ever thought that when you
- 34:19were reading it? Like, that's how I felt. And
- 34:22I was like, well, guys, emotions. They don't
- 34:25do anything for you. Like as we read it more
- 34:28and more, we were like, oh, wait a minute. Yeah.
- 34:30So Job wanted Job wanted to be in the courtroom,
- 34:33but God took him out of the courtroom and brought
- 34:36him to the judge. He brought him to himself.
- 34:39And that's what's so unique about the story.
- 34:43Job was trying to save his children and he was
- 34:45trying to do it. It wasn't necessarily self -righteousness.
- 34:49It just it wasn't the same thing as a true relationship
- 34:52like you would get later. That's why he says.
- 34:54My ears have heard, but now my eyes. It's more
- 34:58personal now. Remember how Elaine said that when
- 35:01Job was in the press of the oil, that gethsemane
- 35:04kind of like what Jesus did. When you think about
- 35:07when God said that to Satan in chapter one, have
- 35:10you considered a servant job? You got to think
- 35:13about what Paul says. All things work together
- 35:15for the good of those who love God and are called
- 35:17according to his purpose. If you think about
- 35:20what Paul says there and you put Job into that,
- 35:23in other words, when he spoke to Satan, he was
- 35:26going to make Job. He was going to bring Job
- 35:29closer to him. And the only way to do it is through
- 35:32suffering. I don't know why. I didn't make the
- 35:36world, but God did. I didn't stretch the line
- 35:38and lay the foundation. I don't know if it's
- 35:41a hippo or a crocodile. I don't have a clue.
- 35:43God does. Whatever it is that he's talking about,
- 35:46God is asking him. Job, you want to stand in
- 35:51court and you want to defend yourself and you
- 35:53don't even know who I am and you don't even know
- 35:55how I do what I do. You know nothing about me.
- 35:59But yet you're offering sacrifices. Yeah, all
- 36:02the way through that, though, you've got this
- 36:04idea that Job is a man that's thinking that you
- 36:11get to the point where you think that this man
- 36:12is definitely been taken on a journey. It's like
- 36:15every single one of us that's come Interpressorism,
- 36:19pastism. I mean, you know, you start off with
- 36:22one format and then you start to reason on something
- 36:25else and you go, well, it can't be that, surely
- 36:27it can't be that. So you're backwards and forwards
- 36:29because listening to that, you know, he's hearing
- 36:32your struggle, trying to sort of understand things.
- 36:34And I think it's the same with Job, but it was
- 36:37an extreme. You know, God already knew he was
- 36:39upright and blamed us. And that's what I'm saying.
- 36:41As you go through it, the man is reasoning. He's
- 36:43going through all this gambit of emotions. He's
- 36:47experienced all this. I mean, could you imagine,
- 36:49you know, sitting there with these saws and scraping
- 36:51it off with, you know, a sort of pottery to try
- 36:53and... I must have been excruciating. You know,
- 36:57I mean, we're sitting here discussing the chap
- 37:00and, you know, our brother, actually, and yet
- 37:04he's gone from having everything to, like I say,
- 37:07having even more at the end of it. So God must
- 37:10have known because God knows everything. He must
- 37:13have known the outcome. He must have understood
- 37:15that Job was going to sort of like, and that's
- 37:17the whole thing, isn't it? You know, if you are,
- 37:19if you are a lover of God and you truly want
- 37:21to understand where God wants to take you, what
- 37:23he's trying to teach you, you might wrestle with
- 37:25it. But at the end of the day, you want to get
- 37:28somewhere where you know, Lord, I want to arrive
- 37:30where you want me to be. And I think that that's
- 37:33what Job was. I mean, he had a worldview. Every
- 37:37single one of us had a worldview, maybe before
- 37:39we believe what we do today. And that's what
- 37:42I'm saying. Whereas you've got some people that
- 37:45are quite happy to be stuck where they are and
- 37:47they don't want to listen, they don't care what
- 37:49you say or anything like that. And then you've
- 37:52got other people that have an open heart and
- 37:54just say, Lord, I don't know everything. I don't
- 37:56know anything, actually. So therefore, will you
- 37:58lead me? And I think that's what Joe was doing
- 38:00in his sort of like wrestling with like, I've
- 38:04done this and I've done that. I don't think he
- 38:06was trying to say that because that's his worldview
- 38:08then. He thought, well, I've done everything
- 38:11that is needed to satisfy, to have a relationship,
- 38:16you know, to show God that I really love him.
- 38:18He was just doing the things that he knew until
- 38:21he went through this and then got open his eyes.
- 38:23And that's the thing. It's having God open your
- 38:26eyes to things. And for me, it's a journey in
- 38:31Revelation about Job and actually how upright
- 38:35and blameless he was. because he did go right
- 38:37the way to the end and recognize, I'm going to
- 38:40put my hand over my mouth. I don't know. I actually
- 38:43don't know anything. You know, and I think that
- 38:46that's a wonderful attitude to have. I mean,
- 38:47I know that God's talking to you. Come on, let's
- 38:49face it. You're not going to say, I'm going to
- 38:51say, well, actually. Sorry. Has anybody really
- 38:57paid attention at the end of Job and noticed
- 39:00how his three daughters were given an inheritance?
- 39:05Did you guys ever notice that before? Did you
- 39:08ever wonder like did you ever wonder why? You
- 39:11know, and he actually gives the names of them
- 39:13and I searched high and low trying to figure
- 39:15out who those women were and I've still got to
- 39:19do a little bit of research on their names I'm
- 39:20sure their names means something but What was
- 39:24unique is that Joe had seven daughters or seven
- 39:27sons and three daughters before? All of them
- 39:30were taken out, you know by that when the house
- 39:32was destroyed And in the end, Joe gets a double
- 39:37portion of livestock, but when he gets his children
- 39:41back, it's the same number. It's back to ten.
- 39:45And I've said over and over, I believe that that
- 39:47ten is representational of the northern kingdom,
- 39:50of the northern kingdom of Israel, the ten tribes.
- 39:53Even though it's male and female, it doesn't
- 39:54matter. I see it as the ten that are lost and
- 39:57the ten that return. But then the three women
- 40:00receive an inheritance. And that's something
- 40:02that is unique in Jesus's ministry. I haven't
- 40:05quite put my finger on it yet. Maybe it's my
- 40:08Greek thinking. mind, Cameron, but I'm telling
- 40:11you right now, like, what's that? I have a question.
- 40:16You're saying like that's good for like the 10
- 40:18tribes. Do you not having gone through this thing
- 40:21with you, this whole study, do you think that
- 40:25Job symbolizes us, Jesus, Israel or none of them?
- 40:30I think he is the true Israel. The true Israel
- 40:36is how you get to the true Israel. I believe
- 40:39that Job is representational of the old, prior
- 40:43to the covenant, prior to the covenant, because
- 40:45he, remember it says he lived 140 years. After
- 40:50this took place. So that tells you that it was
- 40:52prior to the time whenever God said he would
- 40:54not strive with man because he's flesh. He's
- 40:56only going to be 120 years. So it's before that.
- 40:59So that means he's still in the patriarchal period.
- 41:02So it goes all the way back to that, which in
- 41:05my opinion follows all the way from Abraham.
- 41:08Okay. It's coming from Abraham, which is the
- 41:11true, the faith, those who trust in God and by
- 41:14faith, then it's going to carry all the way through.
- 41:18the destruction and the exile, whether it's slavery
- 41:22to Egypt or it's exile to Babylon or it's exile
- 41:25into Assyria for the northern tribe, whatever
- 41:27it is, and then the restoration. But ultimately
- 41:30what happens is that Christ is the new Israel.
- 41:33That's what I see. He is the new Israel and we
- 41:36are in Christ. So he starts with the sacrifices
- 41:41and the works and the righteousness, which is
- 41:43physical Israel. They're always doing sacrifices
- 41:45and trying to do things physically and on the
- 41:48outside. And then in the end, he suffers like
- 41:50Jesus and he has to be born again into a relationship
- 41:55with God and he has to die to himself and all
- 41:57his, I'm so great, my works and die to himself
- 42:01so that he can have the relationship and live
- 42:03to God and really see the truth. Yeah, I've said
- 42:06like how to become a high priest. Right. So all
- 42:10of us are called in a new covenant. the new covenant.
- 42:12And so that's why I think the inheritance to
- 42:15the women is important and it's critical. There
- 42:18will be now no more male or female as we see
- 42:22in the new covenant kingdom, right? So I see
- 42:25that at the end of Job as well. I see how it's
- 42:27like, oh, now they get the full inheritance.
- 42:29They're fully inherited, like we receive that
- 42:33inheritance. So I think Job is one, honestly,
- 42:38Now I think it's one of the most critical, most
- 42:40important books in the Bible, and I used to just
- 42:43think it was an afterthought. But now I see it
- 42:46as telling the entire story of Israel and the
- 42:51Church and how we have a relationship with God
- 42:54and how we can be kings and priests. And I think
- 42:59it's made up, right? It's an allegory, right?
- 43:02I mean, I've questioned whether it was really
- 43:04happening or not. I now believe that it was allegorical.
- 43:07I don't think it was real. I don't think it happened
- 43:08like he was an actual person. I think James actually
- 43:12quotes it. And I think he says, remember the
- 43:15endurance of Job or the patience of Job. That's
- 43:17fine. I can also say, you know, remember the
- 43:22conscience of Jiminy Cricket and you guys get
- 43:24it. You know what I mean? Like you understand
- 43:26how to do that. does that mean that do they know
- 43:29who wrote job do they know who wrote it some
- 43:31people say that moses wrote it um because of
- 43:35the timing in which it was written and there's
- 43:36a lot that matches it i don't think that i think
- 43:39it was written post -exile i definitely think
- 43:43that i think it was probably during the time
- 43:45of after nebuchadnezzar that's but that's my
- 43:48opinion in my opinion you know whatever but i
- 43:51certainly believe that it's post -exile let's
- 43:54talk about the restoration of their nation inspired
- 43:57if it was writing the whole story before the
- 43:59whole story happened oh my goodness it's whoever
- 44:03wrote it i don't see how anyone i don't see how
- 44:06a man could have ever written this book seriously
- 44:09not not with the way that lines up with the rest
- 44:11of scripture i just can't i don't i don't see
- 44:13how anybody could do it i think just the depth
- 44:15of poetry yeah and that's poetry i mean you you
- 44:18know you like i said before i i couldn't even
- 44:21write a couple of verses, they're so deep and
- 44:26yeah, the whole book is incredibly deep poetic.
- 44:31For me, that's the most beautiful book of poetry
- 44:35in the entire Bible. Were you saying something,
- 44:39Cameron, because you're muted? I was not. I do
- 44:44have a question though that's not necessarily
- 44:46related to that. Okay. Do you know in chapter
- 44:50in the early chapters when they use the word
- 44:54Satan to accuse or to refer to Satan in the original
- 44:59language? Was that the accuser in the Jewish
- 45:02Hebrew? It's Satan. It's Hasatan. It's that same
- 45:08word that's used. all over the place in the Old
- 45:11Testament. Sometimes it's seen as the devil,
- 45:14and sometimes it's seen as the angel of the Lord,
- 45:16and sometimes it's seen as a Philistine or David.
- 45:20This person seems to be the adversarial prosecutor.
- 45:24He's subject to Yahweh or to the God. I can't
- 45:31remember which name. I don't even think it uses
- 45:33Yahweh. Maybe it does. YHWH, the Tetragrammaton.
- 45:38They're subject. Yes. He's somebody that's working
- 45:41against someone that's working against the plans
- 45:43of God, isn't it? Yeah, why do you ask? I just
- 45:48kind of like you alluded to I fold more on the
- 45:53side of that representing the accuser or like
- 45:56like you were saying like like legal prosecution
- 45:59So essentially God was challenging like look
- 46:01at job my servant Accused him like Satan doesn't
- 46:06cause you to say I tend for a few exceptions,
- 46:08I would say, where it says the spirit of Satan
- 46:11inhabited someone. That's a little different.
- 46:13But in a general sense, Satan isn't omnipresent.
- 46:16He doesn't cause people to sin. We sin because
- 46:18we're broken. We don't need his help. He just
- 46:21accuses us. That's far more deadly in God's eyes.
- 46:25Look at what your creation did of its own volition.
- 46:29But I'd have to ask the question though, within
- 46:31the book of Job, this is one of the early parts
- 46:34of the book that always kind of surprised me.
- 46:37So whenever God allows the Satan to do what he
- 46:41wants to do to Job in order to get him to curse
- 46:43him, if you look at what happens to Job's children,
- 46:47to his livestock, then to himself, like God allows
- 46:51this Satan to do things like He gets the Sabians
- 46:55to come in and wipe out his kids, right? Then
- 46:59he calls fire down from heaven. This is something
- 47:01that Elijah will do. Like whenever he's talking,
- 47:04you know, to the God of their fathers and he,
- 47:08you know, he shows up against all of the bailed
- 47:11prophets, you know? And so whatever, whatever
- 47:15the Satan character is doing, The ultimate goal
- 47:20is to get this man that God is focused on to
- 47:24fall That's the whole point is to get him to
- 47:27fall. All he wants him to do is curse God That's
- 47:30all the Satan character wants I Mean this is
- 47:36the cosmic struggle here is what he's saying
- 47:37is like I can make him curse you What does he
- 47:41say later? He's like, have you noticed job has
- 47:43still has the sin and then he's like skin for
- 47:46skin, man So God allows Satan to actually put
- 47:50diseases into his body. That's Job. That's Job
- 47:54chapter two. And I can't get away from that.
- 47:58Like when I see that, I'm like, wow. So ultimately
- 48:01God's responsible. Ultimately, he's responsible
- 48:04because he's the one that lets him. But guess
- 48:06what? He doesn't need to be let off the hook.
- 48:09God is responsible. No, for sure. But it's not
- 48:12evil. It's not evil. He's squeezing it out so
- 48:16that all of his children get an inheritance.
- 48:19All of them get an inheritance. The reason the
- 48:22author tells you at the end is because originally
- 48:24those girls would not have gotten the inheritance,
- 48:26but now they do. It's unique, man. It's a wild
- 48:30story. What did you say, Cameron? No, I absolutely
- 48:37agree with that. Yeah, it's an allegory for like
- 48:40our struggle in what we should strive for and
- 48:43refine ourselves in sin. And we can't accomplish
- 48:46that, of course, but we should still strive to
- 48:49do that. You know, Christ accomplished that for
- 48:51us. But yeah, I know I 100 % agree with you.
- 48:57The three daughters. I'm just curious that you
- 49:00mentioned it. Do you think that could represent
- 49:03like Judah, Benjamin and Levi and how that's
- 49:06the final three tribes that were left to got
- 49:09the inheritance of Christ and ushered in salvation
- 49:13for the world? Honestly, I have no clue. Like
- 49:18to me, I think of the like I don't know. I have
- 49:22looked at this and looked at this and I've read
- 49:24scholarship and I have read theologians and I
- 49:28have read. I've read so much and I don't think
- 49:31no one ever talks about the women. Never. And
- 49:35it irritates me because I think that there's
- 49:37a purpose in the air. We all know in the patriarchal
- 49:40period, especially women weren't given any ordinances.
- 49:46Right. Well, don't you don't you remember, though,
- 49:47when the daughters of. Yeah, there was a situation
- 49:52where they were given inheritance. But they had
- 49:53to go to a king, they had to go to a king and
- 49:55their father had died, right? No, no, no, that
- 49:58was the daughters of Lot, remember? Or somebody,
- 50:02when somebody had died, the brothers had all
- 50:03died or something and they said that we're going
- 50:05to lose our inheritance. Right. And then that
- 50:07was the time Moses said... Moses said, yes, I
- 50:11agree with that. You can have the inheritance.
- 50:13OK, so yes, it did. So we need to find out because
- 50:16so that means the study is not over. Guys, let's
- 50:20try to figure out why that shows up during Moses's
- 50:25time, why this shows up in Job's time and then
- 50:29find out what like I think that there's something
- 50:32going on here. Have you guys ever wondered why
- 50:36did Jesus first show himself to Mary Magdalene
- 50:40at the tomb? Is that how it happened? Okay, and
- 50:43we can say that, but why? What's the point? I
- 50:47think Mary Magdalene was a very high and close
- 50:51disciple of Christ. I would go so far as to say
- 50:54she was an apostle. Some people say, no, you
- 50:56can't say that. Well, hold on. Hold on. What
- 51:02exactly does it mean to be an apostle? I didn't
- 51:07say she had to be one of the twelve apostles,
- 51:10but an apostle. Paul was called an apostle. He
- 51:13never physically met him the way that the other
- 51:16apostles did, but he's called an apostle nonetheless
- 51:19because Christ, you know, met him on the road
- 51:22to Damascus and then he taught him. I suppose
- 51:25the thing is that that really doesn't matter
- 51:28whether she was an apostle or not. But for me,
- 51:32it's like we've discussed it. I don't know whether
- 51:35it was on or off camera, but we've discussed
- 51:37it in as much as Christ was bringing something
- 51:40different, wasn't he? Because we know with the
- 51:41body of Christ that there was neither male nor
- 51:44female, Jew nor Greek, slave nor free. So therefore
- 51:47he was bringing something totally different.
- 51:48And I think Christ in his ministry was showing
- 51:51that he was bringing something different. I mean,
- 51:54the first person he told that he was the Messiah
- 51:57was to the Samaritan woman at the well. And she
- 52:01had had five husbands, and the one she was with
- 52:03wasn't her own. She came on her own at midday.
- 52:05The heat, the sun, nobody was with her. Shows
- 52:07you that she was probably a bit rejected by the
- 52:09others, and they didn't want to mix with her.
- 52:11She was a Samaritan. So again, he's gone to that
- 52:14very nth degree of saying, well, I've been preaching
- 52:16the gospel, and I'm telling you that I am that
- 52:19person. We know Mary Magdalene. She was the first
- 52:21one to see him at the tomb. The first one he
- 52:23turned around and said, Mary. And she turned
- 52:26around and she said, Lord. We know that with
- 52:30Mary and Martha, Martha was saying the same thing,
- 52:32Lord, tell her to come up and help me. You know,
- 52:35I'm doing the sandwiches and laying the table
- 52:36and all that. Jesus said, no, she's sitting at
- 52:38my feet. That was never heard of. Women never
- 52:41sat at the feet of men and were taught by rabbis.
- 52:43And that was the whole point. He was saying,
- 52:45I'm going to bring in something different. The
- 52:48Jewish system was that women were just not even
- 52:51entertained. You couldn't even take a woman's
- 52:54witness statement. They wouldn't listen to it.
- 52:56Probably why they didn't, when she came running
- 52:58back, you know, the law was resurrected. Yeah,
- 53:00there is in me. I've got to take any notes of
- 53:01you, you're a woman. I get this whole concept
- 53:04and idea that Jesus was saying, look, there's
- 53:07something new is going to come in, something
- 53:09different is going to come in. And you really
- 53:11need to sort of be aware of it. And I'm teaching
- 53:12you it now. And of course, when the Holy Spirit
- 53:15was poured out and everybody got their gifts
- 53:17given to them and everybody had something to
- 53:20edify the church with, they then recognized,
- 53:23yeah. We are all equal in the body of Christ.
- 53:25But of course, we still have to recognize that
- 53:27the husband is the head of the house. And even
- 53:30within the church, there was still this need
- 53:35to remember that you still do not usurp your
- 53:37husband. Yeah. And we have talked about that
- 53:40on the side. And I don't think you all have heard
- 53:43our conversations. So we have talked about that.
- 53:46But I definitely think that the fact that I see
- 53:50it in Job, And it is an ancient wisdom book.
- 53:53When you guys see the, does anybody else see
- 53:55the patterns beside me? Do you see all those
- 53:58patterns that are in Job and how you can pick
- 54:00those patterns up and you can watch them go all
- 54:03throughout the scripture? Well, I can't see all
- 54:06of them on the converse. You can't see all the
- 54:08patterns? No, no. Okay. I mean, I haven't looked
- 54:12at it in that, that, that again, I'm, I'm pretty
- 54:14sort of with stuff, but I can't see as definite
- 54:19as you do. There's too many sort of things that
- 54:22I need to work out first to be able to say, yes,
- 54:24that's that. Yes, that's that. I see what you're
- 54:27saying and where you're going, but I would need
- 54:29more, you know, there's certain things that we've
- 54:33spoken about, are we the bride of Christ or are
- 54:35we the children of the union? You know, I haven't
- 54:39done enough study. I mean, I've thought about
- 54:41it. I've prayed about it and, you know, but I
- 54:43haven't really gone down. Have any of you guys
- 54:45ever thought of that? We've talked about this
- 54:47before. You know, the church is called the Bride
- 54:50of Christ. But if we are past this, if we are
- 54:53printers, if we're looking back, then are we
- 54:56actually the Bride or are we the offspring of
- 54:58that union? Saying there's incest going on? Nope,
- 55:01not a chance. I'm just kidding. I know you are.
- 55:04I'm just kidding. There might be a little bit.
- 55:07No, I'm just kidding. There was, for sure. That's
- 55:12right. one spirit one in Christ one body yeah
- 55:16incest one body well i mean like a reptile anyway
- 55:23well what does that mean i love you like a reptile
- 55:27i mean i'm pretty interested in that statement
- 55:29i used to have a cousin who said he was asexual
- 55:33and i was like no you just need to lose weight
- 55:37you just need to lose weight dude that's all
- 55:43Alright, so can I can I add something to that
- 55:45too kind of to the effect of the women? Yeah,
- 55:48like I would say like just to add on to that
- 55:50if you think of like look at David and Bathsheba
- 55:53And what happened to Bathsheba and what came
- 55:55out of that and God blessed her by making Solomon
- 55:59the greatest king of Israel before divided So
- 56:02I would agree with you. There's a, and I would
- 56:04say it's, it's, the Bible is always going to
- 56:06draw a line polemically against anything that
- 56:10defies a creation of God. So like many theologian
- 56:14scholars, historians have argued that slavery
- 56:18was first the idea and concept of ending slavery
- 56:21originates from the Bible. And I think a lot
- 56:24of things could apply to that, to many social
- 56:27standards in today's age, especially back then,
- 56:30like We live in a blessed time where people can
- 56:35live in a society that's civil. Back then, the
- 56:38only economic measure was strength. Strength
- 56:41dictated everything. If you were stronger than
- 56:44the person beside you, you got to wear the bean
- 56:47crown. That's all it took. Except for Cleopatra.
- 56:56She had a good run. Yeah, I know, but she was
- 57:00still a woman. Yeah. Well, I think that's why
- 57:06it's that for me. That's why it's so different
- 57:08with Christ. It's so different. I mean, I still
- 57:10recognize, like Paul says in Corinthians, you
- 57:13know, it is as the law says, a husband is subject
- 57:16to her, her husband and he goes back to Genesis
- 57:20chapter three. He goes right the way back there
- 57:23to say that that's the law that still stands.
- 57:26So for me, it's always been that way. And I don't
- 57:29believe that women were to be subject to their
- 57:32husbands for any other reason than Adam let his
- 57:39wife down. He let his wife down. So God says,
- 57:43right, now you've got to step up to the plate.
- 57:45You've got to look after Cherisher. She's going
- 57:47to be subject to you, but you better step up
- 57:49to the plate now because you've got to look after
- 57:51her. And again, if we look at it as Christ, Christ
- 57:54has stepped up to the plate. He's that perfect
- 57:56husband. He's the one who looks after, cherishes
- 57:58and makes sure that the wife doesn't sort of
- 58:01go off here and go off of there and keeps her
- 58:05safe and keeps her secure and, you know, in the
- 58:09gospel message and what's been taught. So again,
- 58:11you know, for me, it's, you know, people say
- 58:15being subject to your husband, that's awful.
- 58:17Well, actually, not really, not if the husband's
- 58:20doing the right thing. No, it's not. It's the
- 58:22best thing in the world. It's when my wife always
- 58:24said if you love me like Christ loved the church,
- 58:26it's going to be a lot easier for me to be in
- 58:27subjection. Exactly. Good point. Justin Nick.
- 58:31Justin Nichols just joined us, guys. Justin Nichols.
- 58:34Justin, unmute your mic and throw up your video.
- 58:37Say hi, bro. He's here. I see him down in the
- 58:41corner, down in the corner. I think the man woman
- 58:44thing is more for the physical world. I think
- 58:46in the spirit realm, it's different. I think
- 58:50that's why I said, I could say that Karen. She
- 58:53did, that's right. It's different in the spirit.
- 58:56The spirit realm has different, it works differently
- 58:59than the physical realm and Jesus is always trying
- 59:02to teach that. Like even at the well she wants
- 59:04the water and he's saying it's not physical water,
- 59:07it's spiritual water and the apostles are saying
- 59:09where's the bread? And he says it's not physical
- 59:11bread, it's my bread from heaven. You can't be
- 59:14born again physically. You have to be born again
- 59:16spiritually. This concept, even time, is different.
- 59:21It's not the same. The physical has different...
- 59:24It works differently than the spiritual. It has
- 59:29to be the way it is here with the male and the
- 59:32female. That's the way God created it in this
- 59:34physical world. This is the way it has to work.
- 59:36But the spirit world has different... It operates
- 59:39differently. I think we all know that. I think
- 59:41that's probably something that we all grasp that
- 59:44we're sort of, you know, we're under that. But
- 59:46I keep sort of going back to, you know, Christ
- 59:48being the last Adam and having spiritually a
- 59:51bride and having sort of, you know, the physical.
- 59:55Let's face it, if you're going to be born from
- 59:58above, you have to enter the physical world to
- 1:00:00be able to have a birth from above. So this is
- 1:00:03the whole thing. I mean, we're going to do a
- 1:00:05talk on Genesis chapter one, two and three. and
- 1:00:08that will explain, I believe, that the physical
- 1:00:12creation is first and then the spiritual is after
- 1:00:14that. The physical is a template, the physical
- 1:00:18is a template, and all the days of the week mean
- 1:00:21something and you can see it unfolding in the
- 1:00:25spiritual. You get to Adam, he sins, you go right
- 1:00:28the way back to where it says now the earth was
- 1:00:30without form and void. Adam is made from the
- 1:00:33earth, the earth was without form and void. Why?
- 1:00:34Because he just sinned. And darkness was over
- 1:00:37the face of the deep. Well, everything that was
- 1:00:40going to come from Adam was darkness. And again,
- 1:00:43you know, if you go back to Adam's name, it's
- 1:00:45the Aleph and the Dalet are men. Aleph is the
- 1:00:48power or the strength. The Dalet is a door and
- 1:00:51the men is the water. So Adam was the door to
- 1:00:55the waters. He was the power of the door to the
- 1:00:58waters. And now we've got Christ. Christ is the
- 1:01:02last Adam. and he now is the power to the door
- 1:01:06of the waters. You know, he's living water, he's
- 1:01:08the one that opens the doors to you. And that's
- 1:01:10the thing, he's the strength and the power to
- 1:01:12do away with what was we were sold down the river.
- 1:01:15So again, if you know, for me, you have to go
- 1:01:17from chapter three and go right the way back
- 1:01:20then to Genesis chapter one to start replaying
- 1:01:23the spiritual aspect of it. But that would be
- 1:01:25something that we'll go through. on sort of like...
- 1:01:31Elaine and I have been talking about going through
- 1:01:32it over a year now almost. I keep sidetracking.
- 1:01:36You're like, let's go through Jobe. Now let's
- 1:01:38go through Song of Solomon. I'm not trying to
- 1:01:40sidetrack you. I'm just, that's just where my
- 1:01:42brain's at. I think the thing is, you know, when
- 1:01:46people understand Genesis 1, 2, and 3, as I see
- 1:01:52it, I think that... the New Testament and everything
- 1:01:57that's been said would make a clearer difference.
- 1:02:03Well, the whole thing is we've got to be born
- 1:02:05from above. That's right. You have. Spiritual
- 1:02:09birth is everything that, that's what changes
- 1:02:12us. It's that spiritual. It is. But again, Nicodemus,
- 1:02:16he turned around and said to Nicodemus, you know,
- 1:02:17Nicodemus came to him and he said, You know,
- 1:02:20we know you are a teacher. We know you have come
- 1:02:22from God, for nobody can do the things that you
- 1:02:24do unless God was with him. And Jesus didn't
- 1:02:27answer. He said, well, thank you very much for
- 1:02:29that. Yeah, you're quite right. He just said,
- 1:02:30unless you were born from above, you cannot see
- 1:02:32the kingdom of God. I mean, you'd think to yourself,
- 1:02:34that's a bit of a strange thing to say. You know,
- 1:02:36he's not even talking about that. You know, but
- 1:02:40he's going back to, you know, and he says, well,
- 1:02:43you know, well, how can I be born again when
- 1:02:45I'm old? I can't crawl up into my mother and
- 1:02:47Jesus is thinking, well, you know, you're a teacher
- 1:02:49of Israel and you don't understand these things,
- 1:02:52you know? So you've got to find out what the
- 1:02:55water and the spirit is, which there's various
- 1:03:00ideas on the water. And I don't think that either
- 1:03:04of the ones that they put forward are particularly
- 1:03:06right. But the amazing thing is that God, the
- 1:03:09Spirit of God lives in us. And we have access,
- 1:03:13I mean, to the same Spirit that's Jesus, Father,
- 1:03:17Son, us. That's the real miracle. We have that.
- 1:03:21He died so he could send the Spirit. He told
- 1:03:24the apostles, it's better that I go so that you'll
- 1:03:27get my Spirit. And when they got the Spirit,
- 1:03:29they were different. And we have that, but we
- 1:03:31still fight with the flesh. But we have that
- 1:03:33same power. That's the amazing part of the gospel,
- 1:03:37in my opinion, is that we are one in Christ.
- 1:03:41Jesus, Father, Son, us, we are one. We have that
- 1:03:43same power. We can hear from the Father when
- 1:03:46we pray, when we listen. That's the miracle that
- 1:03:49people do not grasp and don't live by waiting
- 1:03:54on the Spirit of God to tell them what to do.
- 1:03:57You know, we just run ahead in our own flesh.
- 1:04:02That's a constant. That's a constant struggle.
- 1:04:05Well, does anybody have anything else that they
- 1:04:07want to share in regard to the job study? Because
- 1:04:09we've been at it a little bit over an hour. And
- 1:04:12I'm sure everybody else has other things they'd
- 1:04:13like to do besides sit around. And I'm sure Elaine
- 1:04:16would like to go to sleep considering it's one
- 1:04:18o 'clock in the morning where she is. Yes, absolutely.
- 1:04:21I didn't mean to cut anybody off here. But like
- 1:04:26you said, you have some of the things here like
- 1:04:27practical things that we can learn from job here
- 1:04:30is for Y 'all going through this study, it's
- 1:04:33taught me how I look at other people and the
- 1:04:36things they're going through. I wanted to be
- 1:04:37like a LFAs or a Zophar and me not knowing what's
- 1:04:42going on in their lives. And it makes you question,
- 1:04:45am I truly being a friend to those people or
- 1:04:49am I being like LFAs? And to me, that was an
- 1:04:53amazing thing to me because it opened me up to
- 1:04:54even the way I look at some of my own family
- 1:04:56now, because I look at their life. things they've
- 1:04:58done. I want to be judgmental, but I've got to
- 1:05:01back off. It is God working in their lives with
- 1:05:04everything they're going through. Amen. Exactly.
- 1:05:09And that's amazing you all brought that out.
- 1:05:12And that's right, Bobby. You know, like I said,
- 1:05:16at the end of the day, you start off one way
- 1:05:18and it's like you said, you know, it made you
- 1:05:20think. And this is what all this thing was about
- 1:05:23with Job. It made the man think. You know, you
- 1:05:28see these things that come up in someone's life.
- 1:05:29It's like I say, you can have a situation, but
- 1:05:32you can have four, five, six people looking at
- 1:05:35the same situation. And because of their characters,
- 1:05:37because of their past, because of the situation,
- 1:05:39circumstances they may have been through, experience,
- 1:05:42they may all see something different. There may
- 1:05:45be certain, one might feel compassion and sadness,
- 1:05:47another might feel you're a stupid idiot. Another
- 1:05:50one might say, well, actually, you know, just
- 1:05:52desserts coming your way. Again, it's going down
- 1:05:56to the core of like, what would Christ say? How
- 1:05:59would Christ react? What would he do? How would
- 1:06:02he respond? And I think this is what God's brought
- 1:06:05out in the end, when he sort of, you know, gets
- 1:06:07Job to realize, well actually, you know, what
- 1:06:10do you know? What do you know? You don't know
- 1:06:13anything. You don't know anything. And like you
- 1:06:16just said, which is quite correct, you know,
- 1:06:18what have we learned through it? And it is to
- 1:06:20recognize that, you know, We've got to be a little
- 1:06:24bit more compassionate towards people understand
- 1:06:27people and I think that the God will be extremely
- 1:06:31pleased like he was with Job in the end You know
- 1:06:34my servant Joe spoke right about me You know
- 1:06:37even through all those things that he did and
- 1:06:39said he said my servant Joe spoke rightly about
- 1:06:42me Because I mean I how many of you have ever
- 1:06:46like me sometimes I've shook my fist at God and
- 1:06:48shouting to say why are you doing this? What's
- 1:06:51wrong? Oh, yeah. Was it just me? Have you done
- 1:06:58it, Cameron? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, most definitely.
- 1:07:03Oh, for sure. And that's what I'm saying. But,
- 1:07:06you know, this is what we all do. But doesn't
- 1:07:09it show you, if we didn't know our father that
- 1:07:12well, I wouldn't go shouting and shaking my fist
- 1:07:15at somebody I didn't know. I usually do it to
- 1:07:17the people that I'm really close to. And when
- 1:07:21we're really close to God, it's like a child,
- 1:07:24isn't it? I don't like you anymore, Mummy. I
- 1:07:27hate you. Daddy, you're horrible. Well, of course,
- 1:07:30you can say that, but you wouldn't say it to
- 1:07:31your neighbour. You didn't know that well. It
- 1:07:33just doesn't happen. You know, but when you go
- 1:07:36and then what happens like a child, you know,
- 1:07:39the child comes up to you, I'm sorry, Mummy.
- 1:07:42I'm sorry, Daddy. And that's what we do to God.
- 1:07:45We go out and we say, I'm so sorry, Daddy. You
- 1:07:47know, what do I know? except my, except my apology.
- 1:07:51I'm just a, just made a dust. And I'm so grateful
- 1:07:54that you would have it maybe your spirit, but,
- 1:07:57and that's the thing, isn't it? You know, to
- 1:07:59recognize that I think it's like Paul says, you
- 1:08:01know, do you, you're the one say, do not steal.
- 1:08:03Do you steal? Do you the one that, you know,
- 1:08:06you could say, do you, the one that say, I want
- 1:08:07more compassion. Do you show compassion? You
- 1:08:10know, the one more tolerance. Do you show tolerance?
- 1:08:13It always goes back to us and I think it's really
- 1:08:17good what Bobby said, what he's learnt by the
- 1:08:20study. And I've learnt the same thing. And we're
- 1:08:24all the same. None of us are different. I mean,
- 1:08:29every day I forget what sort of person I am.
- 1:08:30I look into the mirror and I look into the Word
- 1:08:32of God and think, wow, this is amazing. I'm all
- 1:08:35up there and then all of a sudden you come down
- 1:08:38to... to earth and an hour later you're shaking
- 1:08:40your fist at somebody who's cut you up on the
- 1:08:42road, you know? Yeah, doesn't take long for me
- 1:08:46to do that. Hey, by the way, Justin Nichols just
- 1:08:48joined us. Justin, say some words so everybody
- 1:08:50can see you. Hey everybody. I'm sorry I'm late.
- 1:08:54I was at a little pastor's prayer thing up at
- 1:08:58the Benedictine Abbey. I was trying to get back
- 1:09:00here and I jumped on quickly to make sure I wasn't
- 1:09:02missing anything. And then I saw that Rick called
- 1:09:05me out immediately. So I'm like, oh shoot. I
- 1:09:08gotta jump on the computer where I can actually
- 1:09:11see and hear y 'all. Well, I did see it. It's
- 1:09:13like Justin Nichols left. Yes. Now, Justin Nichols,
- 1:09:18I want to introduce you to Tony F and Driver
- 1:09:20down here in the middle. Hey, Tony, say hi. You
- 1:09:24two are both song creators using AI. Say hi to
- 1:09:28each other. Hi. Oh, hey, Tony. I know your name
- 1:09:32by name only, but then I also listen to a few
- 1:09:34of your songs. So well done. Thank you. Thank
- 1:09:37you. Yeah. And Justin sent me some songs, Tony,
- 1:09:40and you guys need to hear and this guys, it never
- 1:09:44even crossed my mind. Like I never even thought,
- 1:09:46oh, I need to go get a song generator to make,
- 1:09:48you know, you know, songs. But just songs in
- 1:09:52general, much less from our, you know, from a
- 1:09:54perspective, eschatologically, you know, she's
- 1:09:57written. How many songs have you written about
- 1:09:58this job study now? Like 42 or 43? Sounds about
- 1:10:02right. I don't know. I don't really keep up with
- 1:10:04it like that. I just light them. So probably
- 1:10:08about 43 maybe. Has anybody else listened to
- 1:10:11any of these songs that she's written that's
- 1:10:13on the job study? Yes. Guys. I mean, I called
- 1:10:17her up like, do one for about Billie Eilish.
- 1:10:19And she just did one about with Jim Croce style.
- 1:10:22That's my dad's favorite artist. So I'm like,
- 1:10:24Dad, check this out. So so cool. I love this
- 1:10:28stuff, guys. Cherry down there yawning up there
- 1:10:31in Maine. I'm sorry. I'm just kidding. Cherry
- 1:10:35had said one in one of her comments that she,
- 1:10:37you know, in the past that when when bad things
- 1:10:40happen, we would look at God and wonder, you
- 1:10:42know, why are we being punished or is that what
- 1:10:45it's about? But Really, if anything, we've learned
- 1:10:47that that's God does chastise his children, those
- 1:10:51that he loves. That does happen. But also some
- 1:10:55things are meant and all of them are for good.
- 1:10:58That is a crazy statement to make, but it seems
- 1:11:01to be absolutely true. That's true. Even when
- 1:11:06it's even when it's like the hardest thing ever.
- 1:11:09The hardest thing ever. And I'm, you know, Canessa
- 1:11:15and Brian the mother of Brianna a mother of father
- 1:11:19Brianna my niece and this is her little This
- 1:11:23is the high school button that she gave me and
- 1:11:29There her parents say God has a purpose in a
- 1:11:34plan, but that doesn't mean I have to like it
- 1:11:37right now And I and that's a really interesting.
- 1:11:40It was really interesting, you know, and now
- 1:11:41I can see them. It'll be a year you know, in
- 1:11:44October, but and they have gotten somewhat better,
- 1:11:47but they've made it clear that they're never
- 1:11:49going to be the same. Right. Well, I think that's
- 1:11:52that's what all of this is about. And I think
- 1:11:54Job is certainly about that. Job will never be
- 1:11:56the same. Did anybody else find it interesting
- 1:11:59that when he got a double portion, he didn't
- 1:12:01get a double portion of children. Did you notice
- 1:12:04that? That he got the same amount of sons and
- 1:12:07the same amount of daughters again. And I think
- 1:12:10that's because the original sons and daughters
- 1:12:12still matter. And I don't understand how all
- 1:12:15that works, but God didn't forget them. And I
- 1:12:18think that was something about that is I believe
- 1:12:22in my mind, it's where he brings the old into
- 1:12:26the new, those that are in the old into the new,
- 1:12:28but it's going to be in the spirit realm anyway.
- 1:12:33Anybody else have anything they'd like to say
- 1:12:34before we close it out? What about Mr. Nichols?
- 1:12:38He hasn't said anything, yeah? Yeah, I just really
- 1:12:43appreciate you, Rick and Elaine, doing the study.
- 1:12:47Rick, I feel like I already know you from many
- 1:12:49years. We haven't barely talked, but you and
- 1:12:51I, you know, I just, I feel like you're my brother
- 1:12:55for real. And Elaine, it's been really cool to
- 1:12:58get to know you through this study too. And just
- 1:13:01hear you guys provide insights and a deep, deep
- 1:13:05study. 25 episodes or something like that. How
- 1:13:11did you put up with our voices? I just put you
- 1:13:15on 1 .5 speed. I can't imagine Elaine at two
- 1:13:20times speed. Can you imagine? I'm going to have
- 1:13:22to try that tonight. No, I didn't go that high.
- 1:13:27I never went that high. I would have done. That's
- 1:13:31what I do to Bob Crookshank's voice messages
- 1:13:33when he talks to me because he's like, hey Rick
- 1:13:35Well, I was thinking about when you go two times.
- 1:13:38It sounds normal No, it's just really cool I'll
- 1:13:47tell you though. I I just recently I Mean it
- 1:13:53was interesting because I really wanted to follow
- 1:13:54along with this and I was I was way behind I
- 1:13:56got started Probably you guys were I didn't realize
- 1:13:59that you were releasing them so soon or much
- 1:14:01earlier on Patreon and so I was kind of following
- 1:14:04along with the Spotify releases and I was just
- 1:14:08really really enjoying them and then I lot because
- 1:14:11I'm you know a supporter so I'm like I'll log
- 1:14:13in see what Rick's going on in the Burroughs
- 1:14:16Patreon and like oh shoot I've missed like seven
- 1:14:18or eight episodes so I think like you know go
- 1:14:23through and catch up and everything it was really
- 1:14:25good though because It was really cool, Rick,
- 1:14:28when you read the comments. It's kind of funny
- 1:14:30though, because you'd catch mine from like six
- 1:14:32or seven episodes prior and say, hey, Justin
- 1:14:34said something from a long time ago. Yeah. And
- 1:14:40then we cast our minds back and think, what's
- 1:14:42he sort of thinking about when he's giving that
- 1:14:44comment? What was he saying? Well, yeah, exactly.
- 1:14:49But also, that was something that was very important
- 1:14:51to me in Elaine is that we wanted to have a community
- 1:14:54of believers that we can talk with to and hear
- 1:14:57your comments and ask questions. And otherwise,
- 1:14:59it's just me and her chatting. And there's nothing
- 1:15:01wrong with that. I mean, I can sit and talk to
- 1:15:02Elaine. Hang on a minute. That sounds very nice,
- 1:15:06doesn't it? I just said I could talk to you all
- 1:15:09day. How much nicer do you want me to get? Yeah,
- 1:15:12but you didn't say that and you said that rather
- 1:15:14angrily then Okay, bye no cherry cherry just
- 1:15:19left. She told me everybody say goodbye. She
- 1:15:22enjoyed it But she didn't want to interrupt anybody
- 1:15:24but love to everyone. So cherry just left. Let's
- 1:15:27do cherry. Yeah and so yeah, thanks Justin and
- 1:15:33Heather and Tony and Cameron and Jalen and Bobby
- 1:15:38and Cheryl all of you guys Karen, I think you're
- 1:15:41still there. But all of you guys for making those
- 1:15:45comments and just being along the ride with us.
- 1:15:49You guys have no idea how much it means to me.
- 1:15:51And when you guys see Alan and Dina, please send
- 1:15:56our love to them and how much they would comment
- 1:15:58along the way. We know it's summertime. People
- 1:16:00get busy. Things are where they are. But much
- 1:16:04love to all of you guys. Thank you so much for
- 1:16:05being with us tonight. And Justin, we still got
- 1:16:10to get you to Western North Carolina, bro. We
- 1:16:12got to get you over here. I've only been trying
- 1:16:14to do this for the last two years. We got to
- 1:16:16get you over here. I'm down. I'm down. I really
- 1:16:19want to get out there. Whereabouts are you, Justin?
- 1:16:22I'm just a little bit south of Portland, Oregon,
- 1:16:26in a little town called Wilsonville. Right. Is
- 1:16:28that sort of the center of America? Is that the
- 1:16:31center sort of? No. Upper Northwest. West Coast.
- 1:16:34It's like Pacific Northwest. We're really close
- 1:16:37to the border of Washington and Oregon. Oh, right.
- 1:16:41Oh, a bit cold up there. Yeah, it's not too bad.
- 1:16:44It's actually pretty hot right now. On the West
- 1:16:46Coast, though. We're on the East Coast. Elaine's
- 1:16:50in Spain. This was fun. Terry was in Maine. Elaine's
- 1:16:55in Spain. You know, what do we gain? Now, I was
- 1:17:01trying to rhyme, sorry. Karen's in Jersey, Bobby
- 1:17:03and Cheryl in Texas. This has been cool. I don't
- 1:17:07know if you guys, this is cool. This is really
- 1:17:11cool. All right. I just wish I could see everybody.
- 1:17:16I can't, the thing is Justin, I can't see everybody.
- 1:17:20Why not? Because I'm on an iPhone 5. Rick, you
- 1:17:27got to help your friend out here. See, Elaine?
- 1:17:29That's why I've got to get you up. They're going
- 1:17:31to say, like, Rick, why didn't you get a phone?
- 1:17:33I'm going to. Oh, and her daughter gave her a
- 1:17:35newer one, but she just hasn't turned it on.
- 1:17:37All of these studies have been on this little
- 1:17:40iPhone 5. Yes, it's so hilarious. But you know,
- 1:17:45it does pretty well. It actually does pretty
- 1:17:47well, that little phone. It's not too bad. Well,
- 1:17:49again, I mean, you know, it's all sort of like
- 1:17:52behind the scenes. You can't see what's going
- 1:17:54on sort of in front of me. It's okay. It looks
- 1:17:56good. It's okay. I wouldn't have guessed you
- 1:18:00were on ancient technology. Thank you, Justin.
- 1:18:04Because I said to someone it's ancient technology
- 1:18:06and they said, no, it's not. It's an iPhone.
- 1:18:08And I said, yeah, but it's a find. Right. Technically
- 1:18:11an iPhone. That was Karen. That was Karen. We
- 1:18:14need a laptop. That's the real thing. She's got
- 1:18:18one. I've got three laptops but the thing is
- 1:18:21my internet, because I'm in sort of the countryside,
- 1:18:26well they say it, is they just they haven't got
- 1:18:28enough wiring apparently to sort of get it a
- 1:18:31bit quicker. It's crazy that you can get a phone
- 1:18:35anywhere but you got to hook into a laptop into
- 1:18:38something else. Isn't that stupid? It is stupid.
- 1:18:43It doesn't make any sense. What doesn't make
- 1:18:47sense the fact that a laptop has to be plugged
- 1:18:49into something or go through, you know, I guess
- 1:18:52Phone gets it anywhere. You should be able to
- 1:18:54get it anywhere on your laptop. I agree You know
- 1:19:01Rick, you know that we used to have my laptop
- 1:19:05and it just Jumping didn't it? It was yeah, it
- 1:19:09was it had it was lagging and then the camera
- 1:19:11wasn't as good as your phone camera was they
- 1:19:15want us all on phones that's why did rick did
- 1:19:18rick carter just join us rick rick big daddy
- 1:19:23carter say something big daddy what's up oh yeah
- 1:19:27look this is elaine meet rick big daddy everybody
- 1:19:31this is my best friend big daddy carter oh hello
- 1:19:35big daddy carter hello elaine how you doing i'm
- 1:19:39doing fine it's getting a bit late here though
- 1:19:41Yeah, it's a little after 119. It's 119 where
- 1:19:44she's at. Yeah. Yep. And then there's Justin
- 1:19:50Nichols and Cameron Driver and Tony, Tony F and
- 1:19:54Driver and then Heather and Bobby and Cheryl
- 1:19:59Huddle. Everybody, this is Big Daddy. Do you
- 1:20:03live near him then, Big Daddy? I do not. He lives
- 1:20:07down on the coast of South Carolina, about four
- 1:20:10hours from me. I did to be a part of the show.
- 1:20:12I lived in Columbia and that was two hour drive,
- 1:20:14two and a half hours, two and a half hour drive
- 1:20:16to the studio. One way. One way. He used to do
- 1:20:20it every other week just to be in the studio.
- 1:20:22That's how awesome he is. Oh, by the way, he's
- 1:20:27getting married on Tuesday. Congrats. Thank you.
- 1:20:33Congratulations. Yep. She's getting up. She's
- 1:20:37a lucky woman. Yeah, so she's marrying up It's
- 1:20:46like I told Holly this is the greatest day of
- 1:20:49your life What you're saying basically then is
- 1:20:54that she's punching above her weight Yeah, you
- 1:20:59saw my figure you would know it yeah Well, well
- 1:21:05big daddy you you were actually jumping on as
- 1:21:07we were about to close out so i'm glad you made
- 1:21:10it sorry no it's okay guys glad you made it have
- 1:21:13you got anything you'd like to say uh i don't
- 1:21:16even know what to say i don't know what the anything
- 1:21:19i would say at this moment would uh uh maybe
- 1:21:22not be relevant to what you guys discussed in
- 1:21:24your question and answering question what is
- 1:21:26it what you said what would you say i said anything
- 1:21:31i could say would would probably be irrelevant
- 1:21:34so i don't know I really don't know. Rick and
- 1:21:37I go through every time we go on the phone. And
- 1:21:40even in this moment, we could instantly be gone
- 1:21:43an hour in our discussions, in our theological
- 1:21:46rabbit hole. I do the same thing with Elaine,
- 1:21:49the same thing with Carol. Like when we get on
- 1:21:50the phone, it is all like Donkey Kong. That's
- 1:21:53just how it is. We just got to talk, talk, talk.
- 1:21:56And so that's OK. That's OK. You know what I
- 1:21:59hope, Cameron? You know what I hope, though?
- 1:22:01I hope that whenever we all get to heaven. that
- 1:22:03there will be a tiny little den with shag orange
- 1:22:06carpet, and a little color TV with a VHS, and
- 1:22:11a Nintendo on the floor, and I can go over to
- 1:22:13the cabinet, and I can pull out a VHS that's
- 1:22:16the entire history of Alexander the Great. And
- 1:22:20it's the real one, and I can actually watch it.
- 1:22:23And then ask the Lord. Yeah. It might be a little
- 1:22:25graphic. I know. You can know it without the
- 1:22:30VHS player. That's true. hey when you download
- 1:22:33it when you get here i'm gonna say there's a
- 1:22:36weekend place that's in um north carolina rick
- 1:22:40that we can go and spend the weekend at it's
- 1:22:42an airbnb in the entire house it's two floors
- 1:22:46it's got a basement it's all decorated in 80s
- 1:22:50it's really got a full adult arcade downstairs
- 1:22:56But all of the original arcade like Gallagher
- 1:22:59and every position and all those kidnapping him
- 1:23:02for a week. Yes. He is. Yes. Yes. We get the
- 1:23:07weekend. Airbnb. It's an 80s house. We're going
- 1:23:10to do it. I mean, everything, the beds are 80s.
- 1:23:12It's got VHS. It's got cassette tape. So Heather,
- 1:23:16Cameron, you guys don't understand, like for
- 1:23:18us when we were kids, like Like he saw a shag
- 1:23:21carpet, eight video games, but it was awesome
- 1:23:26to us. We loved it. Paneling books. We had books
- 1:23:30when we were kids. Yeah. Yeah. We were kids.
- 1:23:34We had rocks. We played with rocks. We walked
- 1:23:38seven miles up hill in the snow. So it's going
- 1:23:44to be an 80s Rick Stravaganza. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:23:49It would be a nightmare for a Gen Z or millennial.
- 1:23:53But yeah, for us, it'd be that's heaven. For
- 1:23:56sure. Well, listen, hey, Karen Rogers, would
- 1:23:59you be willing to close us in prayer tonight?
- 1:24:02Do you mind doing that? Absolutely. Okay. Elaine,
- 1:24:07thank you so much. I was just going to say thank
- 1:24:09you to everybody. Sorry. Thanks, everybody. Elaine,
