- 1:00Speaker 2: You're right, okay, quickly, quickly did you ever go to
- 1:04Speaker 2: the Hilltop? It was on Potson's Boulevard years ago. My
- 1:12Speaker 2: boyfriend's family owned it, and he the reason I called
- 1:17Speaker 2: because I don't know if you ever had it. He
- 1:19Speaker 2: used to make me the most delicious brandy Alexander with
- 1:23Speaker 2: ice cream. I don't know if you ever he did
- 1:26Speaker 2: it for you?
- 1:27Speaker 1: It doesn't sound good but it was so good.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Did you go there?
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah, but they're not going to ask for a Brandy Alexander.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I don't ask for it. He used to make it
- 1:37Speaker 2: for me.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Where do you live now?
- 1:43Speaker 2: Excuse me?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Where do you live in Long Island?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Well, it's actually it's a borderline Laurel No, Laurel Park,
- 1:54Speaker 2: Floral Park.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Okay, that's you're Oh you're in the Queen's part.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, it's not.
- 2:00Speaker 1: See there's people that claim they live so they're in
- 2:04Speaker 1: Floral Park, Queens, but they claim it's Long Island.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Yeah, in well spoiling.
- 2:09Speaker 1: What's your area code? Is your area code? Five? One six? No,
- 2:15Speaker 1: you're in.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Queens Are you doing that again?
- 2:17Speaker 1: No, I'm just it's not just you.
- 2:20Speaker 2: If you can't make me a Brandy aleixand who with ice.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Creams stock, it's not just you. There's people who live
- 2:24Speaker 1: in the Bronx. They claim it's Westchester because it's like
- 2:26Speaker 1: right on the border.
- 2:28Speaker 2: That's true. And yeah she claims she came from the
- 2:32Speaker 2: Bronx and she was really from the good Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It works the other way. Sometimes they're from Westchester and
- 2:37Speaker 1: they want to sound like they're right off the street
- 2:39Speaker 1: and they claim they're from the Bronx.
- 2:40Speaker 2: That's right, Claily, she's the opposite of the poor thing.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Linda, thanks for calling it. People like, hey,
- 2:46Speaker 1: there's people of the northern part of Newershell. Right in
- 2:49Speaker 1: the northern They always claim, where do you live, Oh, Scarsdale,
- 2:53Speaker 1: Well you live in newer Well, it's actually scar it's
- 2:56Speaker 1: the Scarsdale post office. They always give you that excuse,
- 2:59Speaker 1: same thing in the floor. Well it's really long island. Well,
- 3:02Speaker 1: if your area codes not five, one six, it's not
- 3:05Speaker 1: really long island. Let's go to Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe,
- 3:09Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark three hours now, our dear sweet governor
- 3:14Speaker 4: claims there's only four hundred illegals, which is a lie voted.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Now they're going to go after them because now they
- 3:19Speaker 4: broke two laws. They are coming here illegally and voting illegally.
- 3:24Speaker 4: They took my vote away, they canceled my vote.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Well somebody should no, actually they you know, those illegals
- 3:32Speaker 1: have a pretty good case. They'll say I didn't really
- 3:34Speaker 1: want to vote. They had a motor vehicle that al
- 3:36Speaker 1: a sudden. They put me on the voter roles. They
- 3:37Speaker 1: sent me a ballot. No, you're absolutely right. They got
- 3:40Speaker 1: to stop this. It's I said this before in a
- 3:43Speaker 1: football game. If there's any question, they stopped the game.
- 3:47Speaker 1: They bring out the chains, they measure down to the
- 3:49Speaker 1: micro inch. They go over the instant replay twenty seven
- 3:53Speaker 1: times from fifteen angles. If we can do that for football,
- 3:56Speaker 1: why can't you do that for an election? Why can't
- 3:58Speaker 1: you go back and examine the ballot, examine everything? It
- 4:02Speaker 1: only makes sense to just keep looking at everything over
- 4:04Speaker 1: and over again. Let's go to Jimmy in New York City. Jimmy,
- 4:09Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 4:11Speaker 3: All right?
- 4:11Speaker 5: Three hours marked? And let's not forget that China sent
- 4:15Speaker 5: that virus over to America and the Chinese communist leaders
- 4:19Speaker 5: they had to be laughing their heads off when they
- 4:21Speaker 5: saw the Varels take the fifth. When the Chinese commerce
- 4:26Speaker 5: leaders are the ones who did it. He took a
- 4:28Speaker 5: fifth to.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Them, that's all that counts. Let's go to uh Lou
- 4:33Speaker 1: in Union Lou. How you doing?
- 4:36Speaker 3: Good morning? Mark? Three hours?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yeah, in case anybody doesn't know, the show is now
- 4:41Speaker 1: three hours. We start at nine am, nine to noon
- 4:45Speaker 1: every day three hours. Did you hear the first hour?
- 4:48Speaker 3: No? I didn't, Mark.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Oh my god. No, maybe we'll have to go back
- 4:51Speaker 1: to ten to noon if everybody's missing the first hour.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Okay, Now I noticed that Steve Buzzadi does the show
- 4:58Speaker 3: on Friday when you're off. He the news. Who Steve Risotti?
- 5:04Speaker 1: No? No, you mean Ken Risotto, Ken famous newsman?
- 5:09Speaker 5: Yes?
- 5:10Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Ken Rosatto. He also does the news on
- 5:13Speaker 3: a competing network.
- 5:14Speaker 6: Uh.
- 5:15Speaker 3: And he uses a different name.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I don't know what are you the CIA? What do you? What?
- 5:18Speaker 7: Are you?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Detective agency? Following people around? But what's your name?
- 5:21Speaker 7: Lou?
- 5:21Speaker 1: From you? You know? I found out you call other
- 5:23Speaker 1: stations and you'd use a different name. I do not
- 5:27Speaker 1: do that, Mark, Yes you do. I think you've got
- 5:29Speaker 1: to You're up to something. I can tell. Let's go
- 5:32Speaker 1: to uh Tom in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Tom. How
- 5:36Speaker 1: you doing?
- 5:37Speaker 6: I'm doing all right, Mark, Mark. Movie revenues are at
- 5:40Speaker 6: record breaking areas, Uh, primarily because of how much they
- 5:45Speaker 6: charge to get into the movies.
- 5:47Speaker 5: You know.
- 5:47Speaker 6: That's a good yes, so much.
- 5:49Speaker 1: That's a good point. Yeah. You know when you look
- 5:51Speaker 1: at Gone with the Wind was the biggest movie ever,
- 5:53Speaker 1: only made like ten million dollars. But you're just for inflation.
- 5:56Speaker 1: It's like a billion dollars.
- 5:58Speaker 6: But fark do they include them any of concession stands
- 6:01Speaker 6: with these revenues?
- 6:02Speaker 1: No? No, okay, but thanks for it's a good point.
- 6:07Speaker 1: He makes a very good point. Yeah. Well, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it used to be five dollars to go to the movies.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Now it's twenty five dollars. By the time you get
- 6:14Speaker 1: popcorn and a big candy bar, it's like one hundred
- 6:17Speaker 1: and fifty bucks. It's like ridiculous. But I'll give them
- 6:20Speaker 1: credit as the theater business is dying. You've been to
- 6:26Speaker 1: an AMC theater. It's amazing. These big, huge, comfortable recliner chairs,
- 6:31Speaker 1: got a tray on either side of you for drinks,
- 6:34Speaker 1: for food, they got like a full menu. I mean
- 6:36Speaker 1: it's pretty good.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Of course.
- 6:39Speaker 1: On the other hand, I got that at home. You
- 6:40Speaker 1: gotta have your own recliner chair. You can have an
- 6:43Speaker 1: enormous screen, and you can order food from anywhere you want,
- 6:46Speaker 1: So who the hell needs to go to the movies?
- 6:48Speaker 1: But of course, the only thing you can't get at home.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I don't know where the hell you'd get one of
- 6:53Speaker 1: those one foot by two foot candy bars, those big
- 6:57Speaker 1: candy bars. I don't know where you get those. So
- 6:59Speaker 1: he's a brand you ever heard of too? But he's right,
- 7:03Speaker 1: and it's it's affected the price. And when they say
- 7:06Speaker 1: the Spider Man made three hundred million under a normal
- 7:09Speaker 1: price ticket, it would have only been one hundred million.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Let's go to hall in Freeport. Hell, how you doing.
- 7:15Speaker 7: I'm doing wonderful talking about diners. Back in the seventies,
- 7:19Speaker 7: we grew up in Queens and streaking was in. We
- 7:23Speaker 7: used to streak Queen's Boulevard.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Oh God, who the hell wants to see that? You streaking?
- 7:28Speaker 1: I don't want to see that.
- 7:29Speaker 7: We were streaking, and we streaked the Flagship Diner and
- 7:33Speaker 7: then put on our clothes and go in and have
- 7:35Speaker 7: cheeseburgers and it was great. And then ten years later
- 7:39Speaker 7: I'm in Manhattan. The guy goes you you you're a streaker.
- 7:42Speaker 7: He owned his own restaurant and he ordered a sign
- 7:45Speaker 7: from me. You like it?
- 7:48Speaker 1: No, that's a hell of a story. But so this
- 7:50Speaker 1: was back you were like John Travolta in the Saturday
- 7:52Speaker 1: Night Fever.
- 7:53Speaker 7: Ye going to the nightclubs at this goes and so
- 7:56Speaker 7: even more interesting, they put me on TV when the
- 7:59Speaker 7: dined on Cops. Hikey, No, Hickey Channel eleven.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Hickey.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Yeah, they auctioned off the diner, and I go to
- 8:09Speaker 7: diner auctions. I'm not there to buy equipment. I'm there
- 8:13Speaker 7: to meet business people that might need a sign for
- 8:16Speaker 7: their business.
- 8:17Speaker 1: So anyway, well, this is exciting. It's a hell of
- 8:19Speaker 1: a story. You might want to write a book. Don't
- 8:21Speaker 1: show it to anybody, but more, I gotta go. But anyway,
- 8:24Speaker 1: we Hey, when we come back, Steve Cuzo, the great
- 8:27Speaker 1: New York Post columnist, will be with us next exactly
- 8:30Speaker 1: how well is New York doing. He'll give us all
- 8:32Speaker 1: the latest diner news, restaurant news too. Uh, we'll get
- 8:36Speaker 1: to that coming up next on seven to ten wor
