- 1:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so it's a uh uh a public domain.
- 1:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So uh the information uh was posted on there, and we wanted to uh make sure that that's very clear that no way, shape, or form did voices for voices.
- 1:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Justin Alan, Hayes, David Solomon, anybody on our team, uh create, recreate, uh write the lyrics, record.
- 1:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We didn't do any of that.
- 1:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're just pulling information that was brought to our attention that we think is very, very, very troubling, especially for you parents out there like I am.
- 1:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so we're gonna just jump right in.
- 2:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, so what we're gonna do is first we are going to share our screen and let's see if I can do this correctly.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Um let's do over the shoulder.
- 2:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's try this.
- 2:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's something new.
- 2:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 2:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So here we are.
- 2:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh what we're gonna do first is uh we're gonna read you some lyrics from a song that was written by uh Bryan Davis, somebody you may know, may have heard of, um, in uh in the writing world, uh, or just may not know of him.
- 3:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so again, our big here is what I'm gonna do when I do a share.
- 3:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just gonna do a full share because I I want to make sure.
- 3:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Here we go.
- 3:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's just do content only.
- 3:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There.
- 3:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Out there.
- 3:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so it's a public health, public safety concern.
- 3:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, that this is this is available, this is out here.
- 3:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: This has been out for 15 years, so this is not something that was uh put out yesterday, today, uh recently.
- 3:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, and so again, this is uh this is posted on YouTube, and so what we're gonna do is we're gonna read the lyrics, we're gonna watch the troubling, what we view as troubling uh uh video, and then we're gonna revisit the lyrics just uh to bring this to a close.
- 4:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So uh the lyrics are for Cassabrie's or Cassabrie's song.
- 4:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, we pulled this from YouTube, and it's from Brian Davis, author, no matter how much anything.
- 4:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So Cassabrie's song from the book Masters and Slayers by Bryan Davis.
- 4:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So you may have heard of this song, uh, this uh this individual, uh, you may have heard of this book, Masters and Slayers.
- 4:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, there is a little bit of a twist to Masters and Slayers.
- 4:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um I'll leave it at that.
- 4:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But right now, Masters and Slayers, uh written by Bryan Davis.
- 4:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And this song is pulled what appears to be from the book Masters and Slayers, who again was written, uh, what was again written by Brian Davis.
- 5:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we're gonna read read through the lyrics just to make sure we're uh we're all on the same page.
- 5:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 5:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So here we go.
- 5:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's a tough read.
- 5:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh again, if you have children, uh, if if you can have them uh maybe leave the room for a few minutes, that'd probably be the best to do.
- 5:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So the lyrics to Cassabrie's song from the book Masters and Slayers by Bryan Davis.
- 5:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it also appears uh in the back of Masters and Slayers, uh, there's a chord progression.
- 5:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh that uh what we also have a video of uh of that that we're going to share.
- 5:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So here's the lyrics.
- 5:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The claw of bondage penetrates, mutilates.
- 6:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You share their pain deep within.
- 6:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Feel the sin that binds their wrists, their legs, their hearts, and pierces souls with angry darts, deflating hope, and ceasing prayer to God above who doesn't care.
- 6:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or isn't there?
- 6:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Is life unfair?
- 6:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yet this I swear, if heroes march into the square, their swords withdrawn, their courage bared, then hands unbound will fill the sky, and hope restored will make them fly to lands of freedom, chains asunder Asunder, to clap and worship hearts in wonder, that God in mercy heard their cries and sent a friend who dried their eyes.
- 7:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And now my friend, cry with me, bleed with me, you share my pain, on your back, feel the rack that stretches souls till faith is bare, and shackles hearts and sows despair, for slavish slavish strife and brutal bonds destroy all hope in life beyond this darkened pond will you respond and bring our dawn when heroes march into the square, their swords withdrawn, their courage bared, then hands unbound will fill the sky, and hope restored will make them fly, to lands of freedom chains asunder, to clap in worship, hearts in wonder, that God in mercy heard their cries and sent a friend who dried their eyes.com and here we are going to uh go to a video that uh uh somebody looks to be singing.
- 9:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so let me make sure that I have the audio.
- 9:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I want to share the sound as well.
- 9:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 9:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So again, we just read the lyrics.
- 9:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Now we're going to see what we f also feel is a public safety, public health concern.
- 9:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Then this is from YouTube.
- 9:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Listen, turn up the volume.
- 9:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 19:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, what do you think about all that?
- 19:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What do you think about all that?
- 19:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh to me, it looks like somebody that is a minor age-wise.
- 19:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They're being filmed in a forest.
- 19:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You can hear maybe a dog barking in the background.
- 19:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Looks like uh this uh this child's sister recorded this.
- 19:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um again, this song in the back of Masters and actually because I'm gonna pull open the lyrics again because it's that time.
- 20:05Speaker 1: So I'm gonna do that.
- 20:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we're gonna go here to where the lyrics are.
- 20:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So uh these lyrics are in Masters and Slayers.
- 20:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I think it's in Master Angers and Dragons.
- 20:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I apologize.
- 20:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: This is a song, Cassabrie's song, from the book Masters and Slayers by Bryan Davis.
- 20:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He also has the chord progression in case somebody wants to play an instrument, and so this child uh looks uh first off.
- 20:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh let me just pull this out real quick so we can see.
- 21:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I'm gonna go back to the beginning and show you what I was saying about being you know fifteen fifteen years old.
- 21:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh okay.
- 21:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So here is the end of it, Cassabrie Song by Bookish Queen.
- 21:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And uh 15 years old is this video.
- 21:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So this video of this child.
- 21:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay, good.
- 21:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, not good this happened, but good that we're we'll share this.
- 21:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So uh this individual and we're gonna download a thumbnail.
- 21:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we have a picture.
- 21:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: This uh child is singing in the forest, as you can see.
- 22:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Not much around.
- 22:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He's singing this song who's at the book, uh the uh the the song is at the end of Masters and Slayers, is written by Bryan Davis, and also uh we didn't show, but there's also progression of someone's applause.
- 22:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Music um to this particular song.
- 22:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we thought maybe, hey, why don't we maybe find let's find one, right?
- 22:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's let's go to the screen sharing and let's make sure we got the sound.
- 22:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know anything with technology, it's um it's always okay, so share sound.
- 22:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so let's see if this goes any better.
- 22:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So these are like to be two miners that are playing the song.
- 23:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's see.
- 27:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Never mind here.
- 27:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let's head on head on back to let's I'm gonna do this.
- 27:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're gonna do a stop share, and then we're gonna go back one final time just to review the lyrics.
- 27:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um and so there was an a cappella, uh a child singing a cappella.
- 27:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I didn't see any adults there.
- 27:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh the same thing well with uh the music with the flute and the and the piano, and so we're one last time.
- 28:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh we're not gonna share this sound this time.
- 28:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let me go share.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Okay, here we go.
- 28:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Just wanted to make sure.
- 28:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So, one last time.
- 28:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What we've been showing you is a public safety, public health concern.
- 28:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, we have children that are uh recording the song that is in the back of the first uh Masters and Slayers book by author Bryan Davis, and the song is called Cassabrie's Song from the book Masters and Slayers by Bryan Davis, who is an author.
- 28:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Who wrote the song?
- 28:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Who put the song in the book?
- 29:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Who wrote the music that the children were playing in the second video?
- 29:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So one last time.
- 29:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The lyrics, the clause of bondage penetrates, mutilates, you share their pain deep within, feel the sin that binds their wrists, their legs, their hearts, and pierces souls with angry darts, deflating hope, and ceasing prayer, to God above who doesn't care, he does care.
- 29:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or isn't there is life unfair?
- 29:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yet this I swear, if heroes march into the square, their swords withdrawn, their courage bared, then hands unbound will fill the sky, and hope restored will make Make them fly to lands of freedom, chains asunder, to clap and worship hearts in wonder.
- 30:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That God in mercy heard their cries and sent a friend who dried their eyes.
- 30:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And now, my friend, cry with me.
- 30:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Bleed with me, you share my pain.
- 30:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: On your back, feel the rack that stretches souls till faith is bare.
- 30:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And shackles hearts and sows despair.
- 30:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: First slavish strife and brutal bonds, destroy all hope and life beyond.
- 30:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: This darkened pond will you respond?
- 30:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And bring our dawn.
- 30:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: When heroes march into the square, their swords withdrawn, their courage bared, then hands unbound will fill the sky, and hope restored will make them fly to lands of freedom chains asunder, to clap and worship hearts in wonder.
- 31:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That God in mercy heard their cries and sent a friend who dried their eyes.
- 31:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Will you respond?
- 31:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Will you respond?
- 31:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Can find this at www.mastersandslayers.com.
- 31:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we feel this is a public health, public safety concern, having children with no parents, no adults that we see around, um, that are talking about um some very um very descriptive words uh that uh we don't think children should be uh sharing and shown.
- 32:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So the fact that this book was put together and apparently it was aimed at children because you just saw and heard children singing a cappella, even though that was a little bit grainy.
- 32:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's a child there, and there were two children, one playing the flute, one singing and playing the piano.
- 32:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that's a public safety, public health concern.
- 32:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Anybody has children, uh that is why we did this show is to bring this to light and uh it is again uh one last time from the book.
- 32:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: From so again, we feel it's a public health, public safety concern.
- 33:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Children being asked not only to read a book that has wording like this in it, but to sing a song in some type of a contest, and there's money more that we weren't able to show all of them to you.
- 33:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh we we we chose the chose to uh so Cassabrie's song again.
- 33:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We pulled this from YouTube.
- 33:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we did not produce it.
- 33:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh it's been out there for 15 years, both of them.
- 33:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it's from Bryan Davis.
- 33:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So Cassabrie's song from the book Masters and Slayers, written by Bryan Davis.
- 33:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He wrote the book, he wrote the song, he wrote the chord progression that you heard uh on by the flute and in the piano, and he wrote these lyrics.
- 33:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, so uh thank you for bearing with us on this episode.
- 34:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It was very tough, very difficult to even go through as a host.
- 34:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And uh please uh watch your children, watch our children.
- 34:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's keep them safe, let's celebrate the voices, let them come forward, let all come forward to share if we feel that there is a public health, public safety concern, which we ultimately did, which is why we did this particular episode.
- 34:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So until next time, this is Justin Alan Hayes with Voices for Voices, and we ask that you please be a voice for you or somebody in need.
- 34:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Take care.
- 34:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you next time.
