Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: And we are back. Just as a reminder, this is
- 0:07Speaker 1: a public affairs program shedding the light on the interests, issues,
- 0:09Speaker 1: and concerns of the greater Pittsburgh area. My name is
- 0:12Speaker 1: Johnny Hartwell, your host. Our next topic is Partners for Quality,
- 0:15Speaker 1: a nonprofit management agency that supports subsidiaries providing services for
- 0:19Speaker 1: individuals with developmental, intellectual, and behavioral health issues. Let's say
- 0:24Speaker 1: good morning to an old friend, Tammy Rippey, head of
- 0:26Speaker 1: storytelling and shenanigans.
- 0:28Speaker 2: How are you?
- 0:28Speaker 3: Hello, Johnny.
- 0:30Speaker 1: And Greg Jenna, executive director of Brand and Buzz. Good morning.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Is that proper titles for you guys?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yes.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Brand, Buzz, Beatles, anything with a B.
- 0:39Speaker 1: You are a Beatles fan. We always talk Beatles.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Yeah, big time.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Good to see you guys.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Good to see you.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I always get excited when you guys are stopping by
- 0:46Speaker 1: the studio, and it's always good to see you guys.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You guys do such phenomenal work here in Pittsburgh, but
- 0:54Speaker 1: you are just awesome people.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Oh, thanks.
- 0:57Speaker 1: We think you're all right, too. Now, I've got an
- 0:59Speaker 1: issue with your CEO, Maggie, but apparently she's under the weather.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Maggie's a little under the weather this morning, so we're
- 1:06Speaker 2: giving her a pass, and Sending her best wishes to
- 1:08Speaker 2: feel better.
- 1:09Speaker 1: She's just scared to get up this early on a
- 1:11Speaker 1: Sunday morning, isn't it?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Well, and she says your hugs are so tight she
- 1:15Speaker 2: can't even breathe.
- 1:18Speaker 1: She is huggable. She is huggable, I swear to God.
- 1:21Speaker 1: All right, so we're going to be talking about your organization,
- 1:23Speaker 1: but you have something coming up. In November, Tuesday, November 17th,
- 1:28Speaker 1: it's Brews and Beats, and it benefits Partners for Quality.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Tell us everything we need to know about Brews and Beats.
- 1:35Speaker 1: So I assume it has something to do with beer.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Yes, and not beats that we all do not like,
- 1:42Speaker 3: but beats with music and See the Summer, a local
- 1:46Speaker 3: legend Pittsburgh band. But this is a new event for
- 1:49Speaker 3: us this fall slash winter. As you said, November 17th
- 1:53Speaker 3: at Mike's Beer Bar. on Federal Street in the North Shore.
- 1:56Speaker 1: It's right across from PNC Park, right?
- 1:58Speaker 3: Correct, that is. And Mike Sukich from Mike's Beer Bar
- 2:01Speaker 3: and North Shore Tavern, which is also his, which is
- 2:04Speaker 3: our presenting sponsor for the Steel City Duck Derby.
- 2:07Speaker 1: They do so much charity work.
- 2:09Speaker 3: They are so good to us, so very good to us.
- 2:11Speaker 3: So that is our venue for the evening. And it
- 2:14Speaker 3: involves three local brewers, who are also great partners for us,
- 2:19Speaker 3: and food from Chef Susie at Mike's Beer Bar. Pairing,
- 2:23Speaker 3: so it's tasting.
- 2:26Speaker 1: What is this food that goes with this beer?
- 2:29Speaker 3: That's what you're going to find out, Johnny.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Oh, what food pairing? I don't know. I'm not that sophisticated.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 2:35Speaker 2: That way when you're home and you're watching the Steeler
- 2:37Speaker 2: game and you need a perfect food to pair with
- 2:41Speaker 2: a beer, now you'll know what to do.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Okay. All right.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yes. So Guy Junker is our host.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Oh, Guy Junker. That's awesome.
- 2:47Speaker 3: And the event is from 6 to 9. We will
- 2:50Speaker 3: have a happy hour with the band again. It's called
- 2:52Speaker 3: See the Summer. See the Summer. And it's a local
- 2:55Speaker 3: three-person band. They're all school teachers out of Bethel Park.
- 2:58Speaker 3: They're wonderful. And they will do a happy hour from
- 3:02Speaker 3: 6 to 7, 7 to 8. We will have our
- 3:05Speaker 3: three local brewers, one from 11th Hour Brewing Company out
- 3:08Speaker 3: of Lawrenceville, Allegheny City Brewing Company up on the north side,
- 3:13Speaker 3: and Lynx Brewing Company from Carnegie. They will supply two
- 3:16Speaker 3: beers each, all different flavors. And then again, Chef Susie
- 3:20Speaker 3: will provide the food pairings. We will hear why it's
- 3:24Speaker 3: great together, and hear a lot from the birds.
- 3:26Speaker 1: And do you have like raffles and things like that
- 3:28Speaker 1: as well?
- 3:28Speaker 3: And then the band will finish the last hour.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Awesome.
- 3:31Speaker 3: And raffle tickets throughout. No ducks are involved though, right? Oh,
- 3:35Speaker 3: there's always ducks involved.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Wait a minute. Where's my duck? I've had this duck.
- 3:39Speaker 1: One of your ducks in my studio.
- 3:41Speaker 2: The duck bag is right behind him right now.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I have a big bag here with a lot more
- 3:44Speaker 3: for you.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:46Speaker 3: That's coming up next May.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Are we going to talk a little bit about that? Sure,
- 3:50Speaker 1: we can.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But let's talk a little bit about your organization because
- 3:58Speaker 1: it's kind of, it's tough to explain because you guys
- 4:01Speaker 1: do so much, but you're kind of the back end
- 4:03Speaker 1: to a lot of serious charities, right?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Correct. So Partners for Quality basically is a non-profit management agency.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And we have five subsidiaries, one of which is the
- 4:13Speaker 2: foundation where Tammy works. And I'll talk about those others
- 4:16Speaker 2: in a second. But what we do at Partners for
- 4:18Speaker 2: Quality is provide all the back-end management, which lets our
- 4:22Speaker 2: subsidiaries focus on their most important goal, which is the
- 4:26Speaker 2: people they support. So we provide HR and staff training
- 4:31Speaker 2: and fiscal oversight and communications, which is what I do, IT.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So they don't have to worry about any of that.
- 4:37Speaker 2: They don't have to worry about putting their budgets together
- 4:39Speaker 2: or hiring people. They focus day to day on the
- 4:43Speaker 2: people they support and the lives they improve. And we're
- 4:47Speaker 2: privileged to be able to be part of all of that.
- 4:50Speaker 2: And our agencies, I'll give you a real quick rundown
- 4:53Speaker 2: so you know who's who. Allegheny Children's Initiative, which is
- 4:56Speaker 2: based on the South Side, serves young people and their families.
- 4:59Speaker 2: These are kids that have behavioral health issues. whether it
- 5:02Speaker 2: be in school or at home. They work with the
- 5:04Speaker 2: whole family to make that situation better. You can learn
- 5:08Speaker 2: more about them at AlleghenyChildrens.org. Citizen Care, which basically serves
- 5:13Speaker 2: western Allegheny County, supports people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
- 5:18Speaker 2: It might be through job training, residential components where they
- 5:23Speaker 2: help them live on their own, and help them develop
- 5:26Speaker 2: the social and living skills they need for a better life. CitizenCarePA.org.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Exceptional Adventures, we call that kind of our fun party
- 5:34Speaker 2: subsidiary because Exceptional Adventures provides social gatherings and trips and
- 5:39Speaker 2: vacations for people with disabilities. I think they're going to
- 5:42Speaker 2: be doing a Disney cruise sometime this fall.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Because you want them to lead a normal life.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yeah, we call it everyday lives, right? So we want
- 5:52Speaker 2: the people that are supported by our agencies to have
- 5:55Speaker 2: the same opportunities and the same lives that you and
- 5:58Speaker 2: I have. They want to make their own decisions about
- 6:00Speaker 2: what they want to wear every day, where they want
- 6:01Speaker 2: to go to eat, what their favorite foods are to
- 6:04Speaker 2: buy at the grocery store, what have you.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And you've brought some of the individuals here in the
- 6:10Speaker 1: studio to see, you know, Lori and things like that. Yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 1: Lori's a big fan of yours. She is. And I'm
- 6:15Speaker 1: a big fan of Lori. She is awesome. She is awesome.
- 6:20Speaker 1: See that sign?
- 6:21Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 2: That's right. That's right.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I remember that. I lost your duck, but if that
- 6:25Speaker 1: sign ever disappears, oh, Johnny would get really upset. All right.
- 6:30Speaker 1: So that was Exceptional Adventures. I kind of interrupted your explanation.
- 6:35Speaker 2: No, that's okay. And like I said, Exceptional Adventures, they
- 6:39Speaker 2: help form friendships because these people get together for fun events,
- 6:42Speaker 2: whether it's a tour of Accra Shore Stadium or a
- 6:46Speaker 2: visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, you
- 6:47Speaker 2: name it. They do a lot of fun things. And
- 6:51Speaker 2: then there's Milestone. Milestone kind of serves eastern Allegheny County.
- 6:55Speaker 2: And they not only support people with intellectual disabilities, but
- 6:59Speaker 2: also with behavioral health challenges. And if I can take
- 7:01Speaker 2: a second, I have a really cool story to share
- 7:03Speaker 2: about Milestone. On September 12th, Milestone held its third annual
- 7:09Speaker 2: Once Upon a Prom event. And this was the brainchild
- 7:13Speaker 2: of a director at Milestone named Caitlin Swartz. who realized
- 7:16Speaker 2: that a lot of the people that they support probably
- 7:18Speaker 2: didn't have that opportunity when they were in high school
- 7:21Speaker 2: to attend their prom. So they put this together. It
- 7:23Speaker 2: takes place at Lobby Hall in Freeport. If you've ever
- 7:27Speaker 2: been there, it is a beautiful venue. And there's the
- 7:31Speaker 2: whole nine yards. Everybody comes dressed up. The guys have
- 7:34Speaker 2: tuxes on and suits and ties. The girls have their
- 7:37Speaker 2: prettiest dresses. It's catered with delicious food. There's a DJ.
- 7:41Speaker 2: There's dancing. There's photos.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Cookie table.
- 7:45Speaker 2: And there's a traditional cookie table like you see at
- 7:47Speaker 2: the weddings. And believe me, every cookie is gone by
- 7:50Speaker 2: the end of the night.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Well, it's Pittsburgh. Oh, absolutely. Cookies and cookie tables, seriously.
- 7:55Speaker 2: And Maggie donated a bunch of cookies. I have to
- 7:57Speaker 2: give her props since she's not here. But that prom
- 8:00Speaker 2: is such a wonderful event. The smiles you see on
- 8:02Speaker 2: the faces. They're out on the dance floor dancing and
- 8:05Speaker 2: having fun. And it really makes a difference for every
- 8:09Speaker 2: single person that comes. We had a couple hundred people there.
- 8:11Speaker 1: When we held that. Did I ever tell you about
- 8:13Speaker 1: my Kevin? I, my first caller was a guy named Kevin.
- 8:16Speaker 1: He used to call and he would say, Hey Johnny,
- 8:19Speaker 1: do you want to go out to lunch? And I
- 8:21Speaker 1: was like, you know, I didn't know who it was
- 8:22Speaker 1: and it was a little weird. I was like, maybe
- 8:26Speaker 1: someday Kevin. And after a while he called every day.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, we're going, let's go. And he would,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I would take him out the subway and it was
- 8:34Speaker 1: a simple thing. And then one day he, he said, um, Johnny,
- 8:37Speaker 1: can I borrow some money? And I'm like, okay, how
- 8:40Speaker 1: much do you need? He goes, $ 50. I was like, wow, okay,
- 8:43Speaker 1: what's going on? He goes, I want to ask a
- 8:45Speaker 1: girl out. And I was like, how much do you need?
- 8:49Speaker 1: Let's go shopping. What do you want? Let's get some
- 8:51Speaker 1: nice pair of pants, a nice shirt, get some flowers
- 8:54Speaker 1: or whatever. Because, you know, this is an opportunity to
- 8:58Speaker 1: live your dreams and live life in a normal way. Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Everyday lives, right? Everyday lives.
- 9:05Speaker 3: And you made a difference in his life.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And he took her out to a little restaurant, and
- 9:10Speaker 1: they had a great meal, and I was like, ah,
- 9:11Speaker 1: that's awesome.
- 9:12Speaker 2: That is fantastic.
- 9:13Speaker 1: So anyway, what's the difference between Citizens Care and Milestone?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Because you said Western PA, Eastern PA.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Yeah, so Citizens Care and Milestone both serve people with
- 9:22Speaker 2: intellectual disabilities and autism. It's just that they kind of
- 9:25Speaker 2: have different service areas. Citizens Care basically kind of serves
- 9:29Speaker 2: the western half of Allegheny County. Milestone serves the eastern
- 9:33Speaker 2: half of Allegheny County. So the whole county has support
- 9:36Speaker 2: from our agencies. It just kind of depends on where
- 9:39Speaker 2: you live. And Milestone also has that behavioral health component
- 9:42Speaker 2: where they do outpatient counseling for people with mental health.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Like I said, you guys do so much, so it's
- 9:47Speaker 1: hard to kind of explain exactly everything you do. So
- 9:51Speaker 1: I really appreciate you coming in. And then, of course,
- 9:53Speaker 1: the foundation.
- 9:54Speaker 2: The foundation, you know, Tammy can talk, but the foundation
- 9:58Speaker 2: is that bridge that... it raises really important funds because
- 10:02Speaker 2: a lot of what takes place at our agencies is
- 10:06Speaker 2: funded either through Medicare or government funding. So all the
- 10:10Speaker 2: basic needs are met, right? But the foundation provides extra
- 10:14Speaker 2: funds so we can go above and beyond the for
- 10:17Speaker 2: the people we support.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And you get creative. That's why I gave her the
- 10:20Speaker 1: title of, you know, the head of shenanigans. Oh, absolutely.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You know, because the Duck Derby is turned into one
- 10:26Speaker 1: of my favorite events. It is such an amazing event.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And hopefully, Brews and Beats turns into something similar. Exactly.
- 10:34Speaker 3: We're always trying to get something new and bring more
- 10:36Speaker 3: people in to meet us and learn all about us.
- 10:39Speaker 1: You've had a comedy clubs and things like that. So
- 10:41Speaker 1: you always try to be creative. So The foundation, that
- 10:46Speaker 1: provides the extra income that you need to maybe fund
- 10:50Speaker 1: some of the cracks, the things that need to be funded.
- 10:54Speaker 3: That is correct. Every dollar that is spent at these events,
- 11:00Speaker 3: whether you're buying a ticket to the Brews and Beats,
- 11:02Speaker 3: which we'll talk about, whether you attend the Still City
- 11:05Speaker 3: Duck Derby, you golf in our Bob Pompeiani Golf Classic,
- 11:08Speaker 3: you come to our comedy show, whatever, all that money raised...
- 11:13Speaker 3: is put into a pot called Difference Maker Grants. And
- 11:17Speaker 3: every entity, organization within our organization is allowed to apply
- 11:22Speaker 3: for that for one of the individuals. And again, as
- 11:24Speaker 3: Greg mentioned, the government gives us so much money that
- 11:28Speaker 3: they do for their everyday needs.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And funding is probably more difficult year after year.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, depending on the climate and everything, you're
- 11:40Speaker 3: always working hard to get that funding and keep it going.
- 11:43Speaker 3: And so the fundraising arm of Partners for Quality that
- 11:46Speaker 3: brings in all the money, say there's an individual that
- 11:49Speaker 3: has an interview for a job at one of our
- 11:52Speaker 3: get-go's or Michael's. If they need a new outfit, that
- 11:59Speaker 3: could go to them. If a family out of Allegheny
- 12:03Speaker 3: Children's Initiative, they want to take swimming lessons or something
- 12:09Speaker 3: that's going to bring, going to Kennywood to bring the
- 12:11Speaker 3: family together that they've had problems with. that's a Difference
- 12:14Speaker 3: Maker Grant. If someone's moving into a new apartment on
- 12:18Speaker 3: their own, just got married to one of our other
- 12:20Speaker 3: individuals and they're moving into a new apartment and needs
- 12:23Speaker 3: a couch or a table, that's a Difference Maker Grant.
- 12:26Speaker 3: If they want to go on an exceptional adventure trip,
- 12:29Speaker 3: that's a Difference Maker Grant. So we have all kinds
- 12:31Speaker 3: of items that, again, every dollar that you're putting towards
- 12:36Speaker 3: our organization through our fundraising events go to Difference Maker Grants.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And the staff at our agency's really play a big
- 12:43Speaker 2: part in that because they identify these needs for the
- 12:47Speaker 2: people we support and they get the idea, oh, you know,
- 12:51Speaker 2: Joe over there, I'm going to apply a Difference Maker
- 12:53Speaker 2: grant for him or Jane, I'm going to apply one
- 12:55Speaker 2: for her because they see what the passions are of
- 12:58Speaker 2: the people we support. And Jane may want to take
- 13:00Speaker 2: art classes or photography classes where otherwise she wouldn't be
- 13:04Speaker 2: able to.
- 13:04Speaker 1: That gives them voice of what they need. So they
- 13:07Speaker 1: may be reluctant to ask. And then a caregiver comes
- 13:10Speaker 1: in and says, hey, would you like to go through
- 13:12Speaker 1: our classes? Right. Yeah, let's try to do that.
- 13:15Speaker 3: One of our individuals does stained glass, and she actually,
- 13:20Speaker 3: through a Difference Maker grant, has a little studio. Oh, cute. Yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 3: and she can sell them. So it's wonderful, and they're beautiful.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Oh, she does a beautiful job.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Yeah, so there's so many different things that just.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I don't want to get too far without mentioning the
- 13:35Speaker 1: fundraising event. Of course, it's Brews and Beats to Benefit
- 13:39Speaker 1: Partners for Quality. It's Tuesday night, November 17th, starting at
- 13:42Speaker 1: 6 o'clock at Mike's Beer Bar, right across from PNC Park.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Once again, Tammy, tell us all the shenanigans you have planned.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Well, the ticket to get to purchase and come into
- 13:55Speaker 3: the event is $ 75, which will include tasting of three
- 14:00Speaker 3: different breweries so you'll get six different tastings six different
- 14:04Speaker 3: pours paired with six different food items along with a
- 14:08Speaker 3: raffle ticket upon entry you can buy more there and
- 14:12Speaker 3: then get to listen to the brewers get to listen
- 14:14Speaker 3: to the chef listen to see the summer band so
- 14:18Speaker 3: it's a night of fun bites brews entertainment beats yes
- 14:23Speaker 3: everything you can get a ticket at pfq.org on our
- 14:27Speaker 3: website or through our social.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Media, available at the door as well.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Depends on if it's sold out or not. Mike, there's
- 14:33Speaker 3: a cap at Mike's a limit.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:35Speaker 3: So yeah, keep watch because it's going to be a
- 14:39Speaker 3: hot ticket.
- 14:40Speaker 1: All right. And once again, the, uh, the website again
- 14:43Speaker 1: is pfq.org to buy your tickets. And it's hosted by
- 14:46Speaker 1: Pittsburgh legend, guy junker. That's quite a get.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. He's a great guy. He's a lot of fun.
- 14:53Speaker 3: He loves, like you, telling stories and just very personable.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Guy has been a part of our Celebrity Bartender event
- 14:59Speaker 2: at Mike's in North Shore Tavern as well. And he
- 15:01Speaker 2: treats us real well. We love working with Guy. Fantastic
- 15:04Speaker 2: guy that he is.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Good. Guy. Guy's a good guy.
- 15:07Speaker 2: See what I did there?
- 15:08Speaker 1: He's a good guy. All right. So we only have
- 15:11Speaker 1: like five minutes left. So I do want to touch
- 15:13Speaker 1: on one of my favorite events that you have, which
- 15:15Speaker 1: is next year, the Duck Derby. How many years has
- 15:18Speaker 1: it been?
- 15:18Speaker 3: Six.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Six annual.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Number six?
- 15:21Speaker 1: All right. Yeah. Always on the North Shore. It was
- 15:24Speaker 1: in May last year. Do you have a date yet?
- 15:26Speaker 3: Coming back in May. Okay. May 8th.
- 15:30Speaker 1: May 8th. Okay.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I think like, oh my goodness. And it is Lake
- 15:33Speaker 3: Elizabeth Northside. It will be, once again, we're saying $ 10, 000,
- 15:38Speaker 3: but you never know.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Maybe more? It could be. So what they do is
- 15:42Speaker 1: they dump these little rubber ducks into Lake Elizabeth, and
- 15:45Speaker 1: it funnels down, and somebody wins a grand prize. I
- 15:47Speaker 1: think it was $ 2, 000 worth of grand prize last year. And,
- 15:52Speaker 1: you know, Pittsburgh has really embraced this. It's getting bigger
- 15:54Speaker 1: and bigger and bigger every year. You have food trucks
- 15:57Speaker 1: and lots of, you know, merchandise, ducks.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Games.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Free to attend.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Buy a duck for $ 5 at stillcityduckderby.org.
- 16:06Speaker 1: And, Johnny, you're there.
- 16:07Speaker 2: You've seen it. The crowd that gathers around Lake Elizabeth
- 16:10Speaker 2: to watch rubber ducks race.
- 16:12Speaker 1: It's huge. I can't explain it, but for whatever reason,
- 16:16Speaker 1: Pittsburgh is, has, we're fascinated with rubber ducks, big yellow ducks.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And there's thousands of them. And so good luck with that. But, again,
- 16:27Speaker 1: we only have like three minutes left, so let's kind of,
- 16:30Speaker 1: Zero down in on the brews and beats. Once again,
- 16:34Speaker 1: it's going to be November 17th. Now, you have raffle tickets.
- 16:38Speaker 1: You have live music, food paired with beers. Do you
- 16:42Speaker 1: have any sponsors that you want to talk about? You
- 16:44Speaker 1: want to talk about the breweries that are going to participate?
- 16:47Speaker 3: I'd love to, yes. Once again, at Mike's Beer Bar.
- 16:49Speaker 3: And then our three breweries, Allegheny City Brewing on the
- 16:52Speaker 3: north side, who also does a Still City Duck Derby
- 16:54Speaker 3: beer for us each year. 11th Hour Brewing in Lawrenceville.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Lynx Brewing in Carnegie, they both always help us at
- 17:02Speaker 3: our Bob Pompiani Golf Tournament. So, wonderful people, wonderful brewers,
- 17:06Speaker 3: and can't wait.
- 17:07Speaker 2: And basically, if you like beer, and you like food,
- 17:10Speaker 2: and you like to be entertained, it's going to be
- 17:12Speaker 2: a great night.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Well, that's just pretty much every Pittsburgh night. That's what
- 17:16Speaker 1: we do. That's what we do. Beer and food. That's
- 17:18Speaker 1: what we do. Um, but to get your tickets at pfq.org,
- 17:22Speaker 1: that stands for, you know, partners for quality pfq.org. So
- 17:26Speaker 1: it's easy website to remember Mike's beer bar right across
- 17:30Speaker 1: from PNC park. Um, so did we cover everything? Is
- 17:34Speaker 1: there anything that else we need to cover to make

- 17:40Speaker 3: Uh, I'm sure some of our individuals will be there
- 17:47Speaker 3: to attend and help us. So please, please come.
- 17:49Speaker 2: And a shout out to Mike and Tiffany. They've been
- 17:52Speaker 2: great supporters of Partners for Quality. We really appreciate it.
- 17:55Speaker 2: the partnership we have with them.
- 17:56Speaker 1: And who are they?
- 17:57Speaker 2: Mike and Tiffany are the owners of Mike's Beer Bar
- 18:00Speaker 2: and North Shore Tavern.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Okay, right. Do you have any other sponsors that you
- 18:04Speaker 1: want to mention? Or do you have sponsorship opportunities for somebody?
- 18:08Speaker 3: Well, this event, it's kind of like all of the breweries, self-contained,
- 18:12Speaker 3: and at Mike's. So right now, we are.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You do have sponsorship opportunities for other events.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Correct. And that's it. If anybody's listening and would love
- 18:20Speaker 3: to get involved with us, there's always... A chance for
- 18:23Speaker 3: a sponsorship. And our next event will be the Steel
- 18:25Speaker 3: City Duck Derby, which we are openly now selling ducks
- 18:29Speaker 3: and also sponsorships.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Now, you always had it in April, which the weather
- 18:34Speaker 1: in April in Pittsburgh is always dicey. A little iffy.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So now we moved it into May. Is it going
- 18:38Speaker 1: to be a May tradition or is that?
- 18:40Speaker 3: I think it's going to stay May with hope. Good
- 18:44Speaker 3: weather and hopefully huge crowds.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You never, any more in the spring, you never know. Rain, snow,
- 18:51Speaker 1: who knows what's going to happen.
- 18:52Speaker 3: And we love having you as.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Our host of the event. It's always one of my
- 18:55Speaker 1: favorite events. Guys, it's always great to see you. You
