- 2:05gentlemen, talking about powerhouses.
- 2:08This guy has never been on a show and probably is a little
- 2:11worried because he's seen a little bit of our takes and our
- 2:15personalities. But don't you be worried my
- 2:17friend as we are now talking to former 10 year defensive tackle,
- 2:22the one they call Haynesworth Albert.
- 2:25Haynesworth, Albert. What's up, buddy?
- 2:28Oh, not much. What's going on?
- 2:30The guy What's going on, man? Not much key, What about you?
- 2:34I'm slow man, everything coach on this end.
- 2:37Kosher. I like that.
- 2:38And you celebrate Passover over there.
- 2:41How cute is that? Anything over there?
- 2:43I don't know. Anyways, you know, Albert,
- 2:45you've had an unbelievable career And and I we will get
- 2:49into it. We'll get into the NFL draft
- 2:52because the Giants made a move that people are probably shaking
- 2:56their heads. Why would they move away from
- 2:58the best or one of the best nose tackles in all the football?
- 3:01But that's a whole nother story. But Albert, your guy that has
- 3:05been very successful in a league that's very challenging and and
- 3:09you have to play at a high level.
- 3:11The average NFL player only plays three to four years in the
- 3:15NFL. You play 10 years in the NFL,
- 3:18which that says a lot about you. You got a big contract from the
- 3:22Washington Commanders. Tell us a little bit about your
- 3:24career and your journey to the NFL.
- 3:29What a career. I mean, like I started playing
- 3:31football when I was six years old and my mom said one day I
- 3:36was probably like, you know, 8 or 9 or something like that.
- 3:41Instead, I was watching a game and it's just like I turned
- 3:44around and it's like, hey, I'm going to do that and then turn
- 3:46back around and finish watching the game, which I don't remember
- 3:49really watching many NFL games or, or games period because I
- 3:54didn't like to watch them. Once I got a little older, I
- 3:58like to I like to play it. So I don't know like that, you
- 4:03know, I I grew up in Hartsfield, South Carolina, so I played
- 4:06Little League and and, you know, junior high, you know, high
- 4:11school. Then, of course, went to the
- 4:12University of Tennessee, you know, had had a good time there.
- 4:17Amazing, amazing contacts. Somebody still keep in contact
- 4:22regularly as Coach Fulmer. And then, yeah, then you know,
- 4:26then I declared for the draft early and ended up at the Titans
- 4:31and we had a great team. So you're a big man, you're 6/6
- 4:35as a player, you were 66300 and 35 lbs.
- 4:38You pushed around people, you knock people around and you
- 4:42pretty much pushed offensive lines over your career.
- 4:46When you look at the game now and you look at the transition
- 4:49of the speed of the game and you look at these offensive
- 4:51lineman's that they're combines, they're running 4 nines.
- 4:54And I think there's there was an offensive lineman this year that
- 4:57ran a 48. And you look at the athletic
- 5:00gifts that these kids have. What are your thoughts when you
- 5:02watch these guys run their combine when you were running
- 5:05your combine 15 years ago? You know, honestly, it don't, it
- 5:10doesn't really matter to be honest.
- 5:11Like numbers. I mean, you can, you can put up
- 5:14numbers like Tarzan, but then play like Jane.
- 5:19So it don't it don't really matter what what you're running.
- 5:23I mean, it's, it's good. It's good and great, but like
- 5:26when you're when you're lined up one-on-one against somebody, I
- 5:29mean, that's, that's where it's going to really stand out.
- 5:32And, and you know, just the things that we did at Tennessee,
- 5:37we didn't really care about what the offense did.
- 5:39We're going to run our we're going to run our defense and we
- 5:43dare you to stop it. So they just had to figure out,
- 5:46you know, how to deal with things.
- 5:48So Jeff Fisher, you obviously coach, played with him for him
- 5:51for a while. He always one of the most
- 5:53interesting coaches. I went to the Rams too, and now
- 5:55he's a very outspoken on social media now, kind of like trolling
- 5:58things and stuff like that. What was he like as a coach on
- 6:01the field and off the field? I mean, he was, he was cool.
- 6:05He's pretty much like he was on the field.
- 6:07I mean, you know, kind of like make jokes and things like that.
- 6:10But it was really more like Jeff didn't really have a whole lot
- 6:13to do with our defense, to be honest.
- 6:15It was really Jim Schwartz that control, of course, control the
- 6:19defense and then getting with, you know, a lot of input with
- 6:24his with Jim Washburn Rd. line coach.
- 6:28So he's the one that really kind of like like showed like, hey,
- 6:33let my guys just do this and then we're going to we'll we'll
- 6:37we'll control the line and then everything else it'll play it
- 6:40for itself. I mean, we only ran like, I
- 6:43mean, I think we ran 22 plays. I mean, it was like hot, which
- 6:49is almost like a passing down for us or pass, pass rush for us
- 6:54or over. And then mostly, mostly we just
- 6:59ran hot. It was just like, oh, you don't
- 7:01want to run a game on 1st and 10, you know, so just be smart.
- 7:04But I can line up pretty much where I wanted to line up and do
- 7:08what I wanted to. So I mean, that's why you saw so
- 7:11much success with Jim Schwartz, you know, in these these last
- 7:16years. I mean, you look at he got a guy
- 7:18that has the most sax in NFL history, you know, in one
- 7:24season. Miles Garrett, you know, I mean,
- 7:27can't forget about Jim Schwartz. I mean, he let him.
- 7:29He let him. And you probably asked Miles
- 7:31Garrett about that. He let him.
- 7:33He put him in the right position and just like, hey, go do your
- 7:36thing. And he did.
- 7:39Yeah, Big, I'll talk a little bit more about that because now
- 7:42we're seeing a lot of defenses go into this, you know, 425,
- 7:46which is pretty much, pretty much nickel for us, but they're
- 7:49changing all these defensive front.
- 7:51I kind of came up on the back end of that mentality error that
- 7:55you you you guys pioneered with just lining up in ball.
- 7:59And I think that's a huge learning curve for a lot of
- 8:02these rookies that's coming in and sometimes the bets as well,
- 8:05because they never get that coaching where they understand
- 8:08the technique of being a defensive lineman and the
- 8:11success that they can have with having a technique versus coming
- 8:14up with all these different schemes and trying to get, you
- 8:17know, one-on-one matches. So talk a little bit about like,
- 8:19you know, that transit, that mindset, that technique and
- 8:22different things that goes into, you know, being the dominant
- 8:25defensive player. Well, that was like, I mean,
- 8:29honestly, that was like Jim Swartz, you know, before he
- 8:32started because we would put in, you know, on Thursday, we'll put
- 8:35in his blitz package. I mean, it's all these blitzes,
- 8:38new blitzes for this team. And you know, you drawing all
- 8:41these squiggly lines going here and there and we're like, you
- 8:44know, we'll be tricking out the tricking the team.
- 8:47And then he even like realized he told me he was just like,
- 8:52hell, I just just made it more simple, just like, forget about
- 8:56all that stuff. Hey, you guys control the front,
- 8:59you know, like, and, and then like you had a great course
- 9:02relationship with Keith Bullock, which, you know, still one of my
- 9:05best friends today. And he was just like, whatever
- 9:09gap you go in, just stay in that gap.
- 9:12Even if you're in the wrong gap, you stay in that gap and I'll
- 9:15cover the I'll cover your backside, you know, and I'm just
- 9:19like, all right. And then sometimes it'll be
- 9:21like, I don't even know what gap he went in.
- 9:24He just crushed the whole thing down.
- 9:26I just, I just, you know, I just try to fill in or something like
- 9:30that. Because he was just like, man,
- 9:31I, I went from like 150 a 170 tackles, you know, a year down
- 9:37to like 100. And he's, I mean, he's a big
- 9:40film guy. What, what in the world am I
- 9:42doing? Like, how's my production going
- 9:44down? And he started watching us up
- 9:46front. And so he, you know, of course
- 9:48helped with that too, just like, Hey, let us eat.
- 9:51And you know, ain't nobody holding up no guard or tackle
- 9:55for nobody. Like we're all we're all just
- 9:58going. And because Schwartz used to be
- 10:01that want to outsmart the offense, you know, of the other
- 10:05team and all this stuff. And then he finally just like,
- 10:08forget all that. So that's when we had our
- 10:09defensive runs in me and the the top defense, you know, in the in
- 10:14the NFL is because we just made the game simple.
- 10:17You look at you look at the days now, like, I mean, all these
- 10:21guys having to think they got this play off the running back
- 10:24motions over or this receiver motions over.
- 10:27You got to do this. And then like, how in the world
- 10:29are you playing supposed to get off the ball?
- 10:32And you know, and you're thinking like, Oh my God, just
- 10:34got this motion this way, so let's change my place to this.
- 10:37I. Mean like you just take you take
- 10:39in the like the natural talent out of the game and you blowing
- 10:43your guy down. I mean, you, you're putting a,
- 10:45you're putting a plow on a racehorse.
- 10:47You know, I mean, just let those guys run up front.
- 10:51And I mean, it would be. He'll be incredible, right?
- 10:55We are talking to former 10 year defensive tackle Albert
- 10:58Hainsworth. He played for the Titans, the
- 11:00Commanders, the Patriots, the Buccaneers from 2002 to 2011.
- 11:04Albert, the game, like we, we were saying it's changed and
- 11:08there have been successful players at the, the defensive
- 11:12tackle position, successful players at the defensive end
- 11:15position. And we've seen the transition.
- 11:17And I, I, I could say this, Jim Schwartz is one of the best
- 11:20defensive coordinators in the NFL.
- 11:21Now. I don't know if he's, he's, he's
- 11:23a good coach. He had his chance over there
- 11:25with the Lions. I think he deserves another
- 11:27chance and to see if he can be successful as a head coach.
- 11:30I thought he got robbed with the Browns job.
- 11:32I I think he should have been offered the job or even been
- 11:35interviewed the right way for that job after what they did
- 11:38this year with Miles Garrett. I look at the NFL and everybody
- 11:42looks at the NFL draft and everybody says these guys,
- 11:44they're the future. If you're if you're a top ten
- 11:46pick, you're going to be more than likely there's a
- 11:49possibility you could be an all pro player.
- 11:51But we have seen a lot of players come through the New
- 11:54York Jets. I am a Jets fan.
- 11:56I've watched The Jets year in and year out draft top 10 picks
- 11:59and most of them have failed. Failed.
- 12:03And now we got the Giants. The Giants make a trade for
- 12:06Dexter. They traded Dexter Lawrence, the
- 12:08bet I would, I would argue the best nose tackle in the NFL last
- 12:12year. He wasn't healthy, but he still
- 12:13played. He still got double teams.
- 12:15He still was, to me, still an elite player.
- 12:17Why do you think Brian Burns had the season that he had Because
- 12:20of Dexter Lawrence being double teamed and they trade him for a
- 12:2310th pick Now Giant fans sitting here and saying we could get a
- 12:27star at #10A future and we've saved $13 million.
- 12:30But you just lost an All pro player, a player that was your
- 12:34best player on your defense. He was the, I guess, the
- 12:37guardian Angel of the New York Giants defense.
- 12:41And you just moved in because Joe Shane doesn't know what he's
- 12:44doing. He attacked Joe Shane on and off
- 12:47the field because of what he did with Sequon Barkley and what he
- 12:49did with Leonard Williams. Both guys leave the organization
- 12:53and win Super Bowls and became All pro players.
- 12:55So the Giants are doing something wrong and now they
- 12:57move their best player of the last five seasons.
- 13:01You can argue him and Saquon Barkley were by far their best
- 13:03players for a 10th pick. Now when you look at this move
- 13:07and you're not a Giant fan, but you're you're a player.
- 13:09Do you understand the position and how how he dominated the
- 13:12position for the last three seasons except last year because
- 13:15of his injury? Would you have made this trade,
- 13:18yes or no? So this is this is coming into,
- 13:22I mean, this is a a different thing and this is what what fans
- 13:25got to realize. Like this is a business, right?
- 13:29I mean, this is a business at the end of the day, it's a
- 13:31business decision. So for them, it sounds like
- 13:35they're more in a rebuild kind of stage.
- 13:38So they got a they got a, they got a, a great tackle.
- 13:41But do you want to have that great tackle, go through all
- 13:45this rebuilding and kind of get used up?
- 13:49Or can you, you know, trade him and get a temp that can be a
- 13:52first round pick and then like be able to have young guys
- 13:57that's going to fit in. I mean Start learning and
- 13:59fitting in and like, you know, be able to hopefully be able to
- 14:03contribute down the road and be maybe that, you know, that solid
- 14:07like giants guy, you know, that can make the ring and stuff like
- 14:10that. You know what I mean?
- 14:11Like, but if they're not, they're not what they're saying
- 14:14is basically they're not contenders right now.
- 14:16So they're kind of in a rebuild phase.
- 14:18And so let's bring in a bunch of young guys and grow the team.
- 14:21I mean, that's that's their idea.
- 14:22Now. If you look at you look at
- 14:24teams, let's see you like who's who's like the Eagles, You know,
- 14:31they would take probably a guy like that or you take, I mean
- 14:36teams that's on the cusp, like say the 49ers, you know, you
- 14:39know, you're going to you're going to like make trades like
- 14:41that because it's time for you to win now, you know, and and
- 14:45that's, I mean, that's kind of their mindset, Like, Hey, this
- 14:47is what I'm going to give up. I'm going to give up a first
- 14:49round because a young guy on the 10th pick that's going to be
- 14:54probably not as likely. I mean, yes, he's going to
- 14:57start, but is he going to be a gangbuster?
- 14:59Is he going to be like rookie of the year?
- 15:03Probably not. Like the odds are completely
- 15:05against you. So I'd rather give me a
- 15:07established veteran that could dominate immediately and and
- 15:12bring them on my team. I mean, it's a gamble, but I'm
- 15:15trying to win now, you know, instead of being like,
- 15:18rebuilding. I know I I will say this.
- 15:21If you listen to John Harbaugh in his speech when he was there,
- 15:25when he was introduced as the New York Giants head coach, he
- 15:28pretty much went up there and said we're not rebuilding.
- 15:31We plan to win. That's what we're we're there,
- 15:33we're we're planning to win this year.
- 15:36We're going to go out there, we got a quarterback, we got this,
- 15:38we got that. He brings in three offensive
- 15:41coordinators, which makes no sense.
- 15:43One that's going to run the wide receivers, one that's going to
- 15:45ride run the the running backs and the other one that's going
- 15:48to be calling some of the plays, but they're going to run it
- 15:50through one guy to the other, which makes no sense.
- 15:52It's very jet lag. One guy that was just fired as
- 15:54your team's head coach. It makes no sense.
- 15:56None of it makes sense at all. How he is going to structure
- 15:59this offense. But you know what?
- 16:02We we, we have this player, this kind of player right here who
- 16:05can still provide for us that talented defense that they were
- 16:09one of the best defenses in the league last year.
- 16:12They were, they were an elite defense and he wasn't even 100%
- 16:15healthy. Now with this, they could be a
- 16:17playoff team this year. The, the NFC is interesting, but
- 16:21they're in a division. We don't know what Washington's
- 16:23going to be. We don't we don't know what the
- 16:25Cowboys are going to be. We never know.
- 16:27And then Philadelphia, A.J. Brown could be a Patriot and
- 16:30this team could be different. I mean, personality wise, Saquon
- 16:33wasn't the same player he was the year before because they
- 16:36didn't run the ball. They still have the idiot coach
- 16:38there. I, I root on the Eagles.
- 16:40So I, I, I'm, they're my other team.
- 16:42So I, I know all about it. The nonsense that goes on in
- 16:46that locker room, I mean, the Giants could make the playoffs
- 16:50and they had a chance to do that with an elite play like that.
- 16:53I agree with you. You get what you can for them
- 16:56and it's a 10th pick. But those picks don't mean
- 16:59nothing. You said it yourself, they could
- 17:01do all those things at the combine.
- 17:02They look great. They interview, right?
- 17:04But when you step on an NFL football field, it's different.
- 17:08It's faster, it's better. I mean, it's it's more motion.
- 17:12I mean, there's a lot of things that you don't see in college
- 17:14that you see in the NFL. No, I mean 100% right.
- 17:18It's it's a bunch of like what ifs, what ifs, you know, I mean
- 17:22like what coach? But you got to say like what
- 17:24coach is going to come in and say, Oh yeah, we're rebuilding,
- 17:27you know, no, you're right. No coaches.
- 17:31Aaron Glenn. Aaron Glenn said it.
- 17:35Before, after the first time? Yeah, first time.
- 17:37Just. Got to the what he's at he's at
- 17:40The Jets. I mean like Held, thank you.
- 17:42Thank you for rebuilding since the Joe Namer and also.
- 17:46Thank you, Albert. Yeah.
- 17:47Thank you so very much. Don't worry at Carter Q, they're
- 17:50gonna make the playoffs this year.
- 17:51Yeah, they're going this year. They'll make it this year, yeah.
- 17:54Who is that? The Jets, Yeah.
- 17:55Yeah, I believe in the. Easter Bunny I.
- 17:57Believe in the Easter Bunny. I've seen it.
- 17:59I've seen in the wild card Jets team that I've ever seen before.
- 18:02I could tell you that, yeah, like he's he's definitely the
- 18:06right guy. I mean, he just got to have a
- 18:08make sure he has a great offensive mind behind him, you
- 18:11know, to to help push that offense.
- 18:13Which has been a struggle for The Jets for the last at least 5
- 18:16to 10 years. Like just no offensive mindset
- 18:19at all. Strictly defense.
- 18:21So you just you win championships or games on
- 18:24defense, but you got to put some force on the board.
- 18:27I mean, eventually the defense is going to break if you keep
- 18:29doing 3 and out, three and out, three and out.
- 18:31I mean, we are you could be good, but you're not robots.
- 18:34Q Yeah. Q Did you?
- 18:36Did you see who they brought in as their offensive coordinator?
- 18:39Are you going to tell me? OK, all right, Because I, I
- 18:42don't even know who he is, all right?
- 18:43I, I, they brought in a no name offensive coordinator, a guy
- 18:47that really is not one of those elite guys that's going to help
- 18:50you, is going to run your offense and you're going to
- 18:52believe, hey, you take care of the offense and I'll take care
- 18:54of the defense and we can win. There is nothing that tells me
- 18:57right now with the New York Jets and we have Geno Smith, all
- 19:01right? And I'm not saying Geno is not
- 19:03good and put in the right position.
- 19:05Geno could be good. I he's not.
- 19:08By the way, I love Aaron Glenn. He's one of my favorite players
- 19:11growing up. But here's my take on it.
- 19:14Aaron Glenn had the nerve over the last couple of weeks to go
- 19:18out there and say that Geno Smith is going to take us to the
- 19:21promised land. I I'm sorry, I almost, I almost
- 19:26regurgitated when he said that. Regurgitated.
- 19:28This is the guy we drafted in the second round.
- 19:31The Jets parted ways with him because he got knocked out by
- 19:33his linebacker because he didn't pay him for a bet or a card
- 19:38game. I made no sense.
- 19:40And this is what we're going to bring back to our quarterback.
- 19:43Period. It was an appearance.
- 19:45See, we're not going to spread in there.
- 19:47I'm sorry, I'm sorry. One of his camps and I'm.
- 19:50Sorry. Had nothing to do with the card
- 19:51game, had nothing to do with that.
- 19:53Next she know didn't pull up to one of his events.
- 19:56He OK and then Gino didn't want to pay the money back after not
- 20:01showing so that's how they got into it.
- 20:03No, how wonderful. And then he gets knocked down,
- 20:05he gets a broken jaw. And then we see the end of Gino
- 20:08Smith's whole career with the New York Jets and he goes to the
- 20:10Giants. He takes Eli Manning's position,
- 20:13doesn't work. Ben McAdoo sayonara.
- 20:16And then he goes for, he jumps from one team to another and.
- 20:19Finally, how to place his greatest?
- 20:21Yes, yes, in his Seattle career over there with Pete Carroll was
- 20:24pretty good. He.
- 20:25Was pretty good, pretty good offensive mind.
- 20:28Pete Carroll is not an offensive mind.
- 20:31That's. What I'm saying better than what
- 20:33he had, Yeah. Who?
- 20:35Who is the offense? He had.
- 20:37Who did he have before he? Who was the offensive?
- 20:39Could be there please? I don't remember 22 exactly.
- 20:42You have to. Remember, you got to remember,
- 20:44you don't got to hit the home run all the time.
- 20:46What are you talking going to the top?
- 20:4823 and 24. In between that's like you can
- 20:52figure it. Out 23 and 24, they had the
- 20:54Alabama, they had Ryan Grove, who became in the Alabama
- 20:56offensive coordinator this year, that all the Alabama fans wanted
- 20:59to give, wanted to be. Fired.
- 21:01What do you want me to do? You really want me to throw up
- 21:03here? Shane Waldron Yes, that's what
- 21:05it. Was this is this is I I've done
- 21:06enough. You heard my movie take.
- 21:08You heard what I did yesterday in the movie theater.
- 21:11I'm going to listen to this garbage and say that I'm I'm
- 21:13going to believe what this this garbage that's coming back and.
- 21:15I think the promise is over over 7, but I think they I think they
- 21:18can get in a while All right, all.
- 21:19Right, but you got you got to think what you got to think
- 21:21though, like what team? I mean, there's not many teams
- 21:24that say, oh, we're just out here.
- 21:27Everybody's like, hey, you got that, you know, expectation,
- 21:30make it to the Super Bowl. Hell, I had that expectation for
- 21:3210 years, you know what I mean? Like every year.
- 21:35But like, that's the. Goal.
- 21:37Yeah, every year. That's the goal.
- 21:38That's the main 1. You know, it's easier for some
- 21:41people than it is others, for sure.
- 21:43Yeah. Did you think that when you went
- 21:45over there to the Washington Commanders, because I listen, I,
- 21:48I never thought I, I thought you were one of the best players in
- 21:52the league when you went over there and signed your, your nice
- 21:54big contract. Love the boat you bought too, by
- 21:56the way. Loved it.
- 21:58I loved everything. I had that before.
- 22:01Whatever. I loved that boat.
- 22:03I absolutely love that boat. When you were sailing away in
- 22:05that speedboat, I I would have sailed my way.
- 22:08I would have sailed away from that commander team.
- 22:10As soon as I got I, I went over there but.
- 22:12My thing is just the lies for me though, that's, that's, that's
- 22:15the one thing like I, I thought we had AI thought we had a, a
- 22:20better offense, you know, because we didn't, we didn't
- 22:25score many points for the Titans.
- 22:26You know, I mean, we had like our whole thing, my, my 7th year
- 22:31with the Titans and we had a phenomenal defense, you know,
- 22:34rank, I think that was #1 defense and then and all that.
- 22:38But like our whole offense was like Chris Johnson, CJ2K before
- 22:42he came 2K and then when he went down with an ankle injury, like
- 22:47how you lose a playoff game, like 13 to 10.
- 22:50I mean, it was always a lot on our, on our backs defense.
- 22:54Like you got to score. We got to score 1 like that, you
- 22:57know, to put us in because you know we're not going to score a
- 23:01lot of points. Yeah, spound on spound on the
- 23:04lies a little bit, man, because I think a lot of times people
- 23:07don't really understand some of the details that goes on behind
- 23:11the scenes. So kind of get the the the guys
- 23:14here and and the people that are listening an opportunity to
- 23:16understand that the business side and, and and the yeah, I
- 23:20think goes on behind the scenes. Yeah, the business side.
- 23:23I mean, like I was literally on the phone with the owner, you
- 23:28know, and the president and the head coach and they're like,
- 23:33hey, we're going to run the exact defense that you run with
- 23:38Tennessee. We think we got maybe some
- 23:41better players, you know, blah, blah, blah.
- 23:43Like they just like, I mean, I, I love my players at Tennessee,
- 23:47Tennessee, but they're like, we got some better players and we
- 23:51got a better offense. Like, you know, paper, you would
- 23:53think they're like, you know, pretty good going to be awesome.
- 23:58But then like the structure and everything.
- 24:01I mean, like they literally said, you don't run the same
- 24:03defense, you know, and they're like, all right, like awesome,
- 24:06that's what we're going to do. And 1st day, like I get there
- 24:10for OTAs, we're doing all this different stuff, like all the
- 24:15stuff I was just telling you about as far as like the shift
- 24:17in the running back run across shift, shift this changes to
- 24:21play this dude and this guy like going, I mean, we're going the
- 24:24whole time. Like back and forth all this
- 24:26like, Oh yeah. Like coordinator was like, yeah,
- 24:28that's good. And I'm like, OK, so then I want
- 24:32to go like beat the coordinator in his office.
- 24:34It's like, hey, they said we're going to do, you know, Tennessee
- 24:37defense. We don't do any of that.
- 24:39We don't shift once the front is set, just set.
- 24:42And he was like, no, we ain't doing none of that.
- 24:46This is my defense. I run it over here.
- 24:48I'm like, you know, I'm like this like how what right, man?
- 24:54That was something the most disjointed, just craziest place.
- 24:58And I mean, I ain't a lot like I might act out a little bit
- 25:02because I was I couldn't I didn't understand that, you
- 25:06know, I almost thought like every team was running the same
- 25:08because, you know, I was 20 when I got the, you know, to the
- 25:11Titans, right. And I grew up in that system.
- 25:14So I'm seeing that for seven years and like, Oh yeah, I
- 25:17think. And almost every NFL team is
- 25:19same, but not even close. It was night and day and I was
- 25:23just like, you got to be kidding me.
- 25:24Like, I I mean, I hated football.
- 25:26I started really hating because I couldn't do anything like
- 25:31that. I used to do like, like I'm just
- 25:34here as like a, a ploy, like a, you know, hey, sign tickets and
- 25:41jerseys and stuff like that. I mean, it was yeah.
- 25:43It wasn't about football. I mean, and I had like some
- 25:46clown, some literally some clown teammates like, like the guys
- 25:51are they were jokes. I mean, you were literally like
- 25:56you ever heard of, let me tell you, you ever heard, you ever
- 25:58heard like guys talking about their table they're going to
- 26:02have coming out of the tunnel, coming out of the tunnel to
- 26:05play. What?
- 26:06Or yeah, talk. Hey man, I got AI got a VIP
- 26:10table here at this club. We are we in the tunnel?
- 26:13Got to go out, about to come out like serious at all.
- 26:18What like, you know, man, I couldn't believe it.
- 26:22They taking shots before the game.
- 26:25I'm like, yo, like wow. And some guys like I I really
- 26:31enjoy like them, but like we had a lot of stars is like terrible.
- 26:35It was unbelievable. I don't really give a damn and I
- 26:37heard them talking sometimes, but like to my I was a bad
- 26:40teammate. I just didn't want to be a part
- 26:41of like taking shots and that like I'm not I would have never
- 26:45flew in Tennessee, right, You know what I mean?
- 26:47Like even when we were sucked like 4 like 412, 12/5 and 11,
- 26:53that shit was still non excuse. My French would still not fly,
- 26:56you know, boys in Tennessee. So it was it was just a wild
- 27:00thing to see, you know? I mean, I'll just like, wow,
- 27:05yeah. This is really just here to
- 27:07collect a check like. Basically, that's the mindset,
- 27:10right? Like that's the mindset where it
- 27:12shifts and go from like playing football to like collecting the
- 27:15check because there's no organization, it's
- 27:17dysfunctional. Right, like, how do you how do
- 27:19you go so dysfunctional? Like I've, I've just never seen
- 27:24anything like that. Then I go to the Patriots and
- 27:27you're told us boom, like you're going to the time of the top of
- 27:29the lead. You know, I mean, you come out
- 27:31to the best of the best. You know, like with Bill
- 27:34Belichick, I think is literally the greatest NFL coach of all
- 27:39time. So I'm sorry, I just, I just
- 27:42believe that. And we had the greatest.
- 27:44He also was blessed to have the greatest quarterback of all
- 27:47time. And, you know, like, now you
- 27:49want to take one from the other, You know what I mean?
- 27:51Like, no, But like, just to see that, like, if Bill Belichick,
- 27:55when I went to the Patriots one, if Bill Belichick could clone
- 27:58himself from every position coach, he would win like, a
- 28:05number more Super Bowls, 50 championships.
- 28:08Yeah. Like, he just the guy.
- 28:10My 10th year. I'm learning like new stuff that
- 28:15I've never learned. This guy broke down everything
- 28:19like his only week is. And I'm not even trying to say
- 28:21like these guys are weak, but it's just because he had
- 28:24assistant coaches, but he could literally come into your room
- 28:27and coach you with confidence that no new stuff.
- 28:32I mean, I was I was blown away. I was blown away with that.
- 28:36But like at that time I was like, man, my body was killing
- 28:39me, man. Come find like my kidneys were
- 28:41failing. That's why it took me so long to
- 28:43like get like healthy. And also I was just like, that's
- 28:48why after that year I was like, I'm done.
- 28:50Like I feel like crap. Like literally take me almost to
- 28:55Saturday to feel almost normal. Then you have to go back.
- 28:59And go back out there on Sunday. Yeah, yeah, it was.
- 29:01It was crazy and I didn't know that was my kidneys failing.
- 29:06Yeah. So you got diagnosed with that
- 29:08on that 10th year? Well I mean not not really, but
- 29:12just went until like 2 years. Two years later when I had those
- 29:15I had three brain aneurysms. I found out my kidneys are less
- 29:19than 50%. So he's operating on a less than
- 29:2250% kidney. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:24Playing. Yeah.
- 29:25It's crazy. Yeah.
- 29:27So that's why, that's why I was like, man, I was like, this is
- 29:29what it feels like to get old. I mean, I'm like, I'm 30, yeah.
- 29:33Right. 30 years old. I'm like.
- 29:36Dude, I'm, I'm 40, I'm in, I'm in my 40s and I just, I had, I
- 29:41had C diff, which I don't know how I had C diff.
- 29:43When you think about that, a bacteria, you get that in a
- 29:46hospital. I got that.
- 29:47Then I have kidney stones. I'm in the hospital screaming.
- 29:50I'm telling the nurse, you better give me more morphine.
- 29:51I'm going to rip your freaking head off.
- 29:53And then right after that I'm, I have diverticulitis and I'm
- 29:57like, oh, this stuff, I'm like, I'm falling apart.
- 30:00I I'm, I'm in my 40s, I'm in the best shape.
- 30:03I've always been in good shape, but I'm in one of the best
- 30:05shapes of my life and I'm I'm breaking down.
- 30:08I'm like, Oh my God, this my girlfriend's like, oh, I got you
- 30:11when you're, you're in your 40s. She's telling me she's like,
- 30:14come on, let's go, let's go. Get up, get up, get up.
- 30:16So it's I. Mean after after my kidney
- 30:18transplant, man, I felt I felt brand new like wow, this is what
- 30:22it feels like to be normal. I'm like 40s is great.
- 30:26I mean I felt like I felt better after the kidney transplant than
- 30:30I did my last year of football. I felt way better, like I'm like
- 30:36let me see if I can still might go out there and do.
- 30:41Something just a pass rush down. And it was, yeah, it was.
- 30:52It was something else, though. Man, I tell you, I was blown
- 30:55away at how different I felt. So yeah, all.
- 31:00Right. I want to shift gears a little
- 31:01bit. Both your teams with the Titans
- 31:03and the Commanders both drafting in the top ten.
- 31:05What do you think the draft strategy should be for those
- 31:07teams and what do you think will end up happening?
- 31:09Tennessee, we've heard a lot of Jeremiah Love rumors.
- 31:11Washington We've heard a lot with styles and downs, like what
- 31:13direction do you think they'll go in and what should they do?
- 31:15Yeah, your coach is Bambi Solid, so I don't know how, how healthy
- 31:18or how great that's going to be over there with your
- 31:20organization so. I, you know, like he would have
- 31:24been my like second or third pick as head coach.
- 31:27My first pick would have been McDaniels.
- 31:30Be honest, I thought he would have been the great, great
- 31:33coach, young coach, you know, had tour, you know, I didn't
- 31:37have a healthy tour, but when he had a healthy tour, he did it.
- 31:40I think he could do the same thing with Cam Ward.
- 31:45Bill Belichick? Yeah, You wouldn't have bought
- 31:48him. Dude, he's got a 24 year old
- 31:50girlfriend. Do you think he wants it?
- 31:52I mean, he's working it out over there, man.
- 31:54He's working it out. For the Titans, you got you got
- 31:56to look because you haven't had a stable coach since Jeff
- 32:00Fisher, you know, So I want to get somebody I think grow old,
- 32:04so I think. Yeah.
- 32:05Yeah, like, you know, McDaniel would have been my.
- 32:08Favorite coach My favorite coach in the NFL.
- 32:10He's my favorite. Who?
- 32:12Mike. Mike McDaniels is my favorite,
- 32:14yeah. Like he would have been, he
- 32:16would have been my guy because he can, you know, he could be
- 32:19the coach, you know, potentially be the coach for 20 years, you
- 32:21know what I mean? Like, so that's that's what I
- 32:24was kind of thinking. Masalas is a is a good defensive
- 32:27mind coach. Made some moves.
- 32:30I didn't really like. I didn't like trading my boy
- 32:34away. But you know, it is what it is.
- 32:39But I don't know, man, to me, they're rebuilding and I would,
- 32:45I don't think we've been a good on the offensive line in a long
- 32:48time. I would have, I would have
- 32:50probably traded down like I would have traded the guy they
- 32:54picked for seven a few years ago.
- 32:57The tackle I think was it from Alabama, the right tackle, I
- 33:00would have traded down and got him at like 17.
- 33:03Then you got another like second round pick and then kind of
- 33:05build up your offensive line with young guys.
- 33:08I mean, that's just kind of what I would have did.
- 33:10So what they got the 4th pick now?
- 33:12So yeah, I mean, I would like, what do you, what do you need?
- 33:16You want to like a running back? I mean, I thought we just we
- 33:18just had a running back. You know what I mean?
- 33:20Right. Like that's not what I was
- 33:22spending the 4th pick on as a running back.
- 33:25I mean, I'm sorry you let Derrick Henry go.
- 33:28You know what I'm like. So you're going to go spend
- 33:31another pick on a running back? No, I trade it.
- 33:33I trade it probably for like a mid round.
- 33:36Give me some offense alignment and then like, you know, some
- 33:40extra picks or something like that.
- 33:41That's what I want to do. We are talking to former 10 year
- 33:44defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.
- 33:45Played for the Titans, the Commanders, the Patriots, the
- 33:47Buccaneers. He had a long career, made
- 33:50himself a lot of money. Very happy man.
- 33:52He has a new kidney, so he's had, he has a new life.
- 33:55Everything is good. Cam Ward is a guy that I
- 33:59absolutely love. I was at his Heisman Trophy
- 34:02dinner. I I got a chance to interview
- 34:04him. I have, I was on his Cam Ward
- 34:07documentary on Toby. So you got a chance.
- 34:09I was one of the guys that was really up and personal with the
- 34:12guy. I'm not too, I'm not too fond of
- 34:15his cousin, but that's a whole nother thing.
- 34:17That's all he's been on the show.
- 34:18We went back and forth and go ahead Speedy, you could tell
- 34:21him. Quentin Jammer.
- 34:22Quentin Jammer it was, Yeah, it was a hell of a night.
- 34:24He. Quentin, you know, we didn't see
- 34:26eye to eye on some things, but I laid it on him and then he
- 34:29didn't like the laying on him the way I did.
- 34:31But hey, it is, is what it is. But Kim, I love him.
- 34:34I love everything about him. I think the kid is going to be a
- 34:37star in this league. And he had if they brought in
- 34:39Dabel, I think he's a great offensive coordinator.
- 34:41He's not a great coach. Some guys are good defensive
- 34:44coordinators, not great coaches are good offensive coordinators
- 34:46and not great coaches. McDaniel over there with the
- 34:50Patriots, he he's always a good offensive coordinator.
- 34:53He just can't buy a buy a win everywhere he's gone and he's
- 34:57decided to go to organizations that have failed.
- 34:59I look at this team. I don't like Robert Soller, but
- 35:02I I like tables in offensive corner.
- 35:04I think he'll develop Cam ward. I think they need to add weapons
- 35:07for him. I think they need to give him
- 35:08weapons and Jeremiah Love to me is the best offensive weapon in
- 35:14this in this draft. I don't think there's an
- 35:16argument the guy can catch the ball.
- 35:17He is the closest thing to Saquon Barkley.
- 35:20And yes, we've seen Derrick Henry, but Derrick Henry was
- 35:23starting to age and he's been he he no, I know, I know what
- 35:28you're going to say. But as far as as a running back,
- 35:30he was when he was when he was let go, he was like 29, going to
- 35:33be 30, you know, So you look at that, that's like, we don't know
- 35:37if he's going to really last, but he's he's he's really become
- 35:41and he's really performed at a high level still.
- 35:43He goes to Baltimore, he's dominant.
- 35:45So you're right where but Jimmy? Said again.
- 35:49Yeah. Yeah, Jeremiah, Love that kid is
- 35:54I was at his, I was at his Heisman Trophy.
- 35:57I love that kid. I love everything about in the
- 35:59media was trying to get him to throw himself out there about
- 36:02the Notre Dame thing. He would not buy into it and he
- 36:04wouldn't bite into it. Even though everybody thinks
- 36:07that they got screwed, Notre Dame got screwed.
- 36:09I think he would be a great, great positional player to go
- 36:13over there to Tennessee and be so very explosive for you guys.
- 36:17I really think he is a slam dunk pick.
- 36:20He could change your offense. This guy will change your
- 36:23offense. One guy will change your offense
- 36:25next year. That's how good he is.
- 36:27Well, you gotta have offensive line saying like the same thing.
- 36:33Like I like Ken Ward, like Thingy is a great quarterback.
- 36:38I wouldn't have drafted Ken Ward one.
- 36:40Titans don't have a great track record of drafting quarterbacks,
- 36:45as you can see. I mean, what?
- 36:47Since like literally Steve McNair, man, they're gonna be
- 36:50around like VY. Vince Young was good, but that
- 36:54was Bud's pick, not Jeff's pick. And then they pretty much showed
- 36:58it. That's how all his whole career
- 37:00went at Tennessee. So I would have traded I mean I
- 37:05would have never gave up a will Levis.
- 37:07The guy was trying to do whatever he could do hard
- 37:09worker. I felt like he was a young
- 37:12gunslinger, kind of like Brett Favre, but didn't have offense
- 37:15line. He was getting killed.
- 37:17I still try with him put an off into line.
- 37:19I would have traded that. I would have definitely traded
- 37:21that number one pick and freaking got probably another
- 37:24first round pick this draft and the next draft.
- 37:28So I would have you know, I mean in that draft, in the next
- 37:30draft. So now you got two first round
- 37:34draft choice and you can you need to pick up and build your
- 37:36team. I mean, that's just what I would
- 37:38have did like as I didn't think we were going to develop and
- 37:42like, I think Cam had an extremely hard rookie year that
- 37:45he didn't deserve. Probably could have taken off a
- 37:47couple years or a couple seasons off his, you know, football
- 37:50life. So I mean, we don't have a thing
- 37:53about protecting a quarterback. You know, you want to plug and
- 37:56play, you want to put you want to put the guy when he you know,
- 38:00have success, not out there just getting like Molly whop like he
- 38:03was. I like that.
- 38:05I like that Molly whop. I like that mom.
- 38:07I'm going to use this Molly whop, Molly whop.
- 38:10I like Molly. You want to get hot, you get a
- 38:12Molly or you want to get. Molly whopped.
- 38:13Happy 4/20. Happy 420.
- 38:16Hey Albert, I got a question for you.
- 38:17You're a big dude. Okay, I don't know what you're a
- 38:2166300 and 35 LB defensive lineman.
- 38:24What kind? Of. 6-7 I'm sorry I, I, I took
- 38:28an inch off of you I, I'm you're starting to sound like quitting.
- 38:32Wait a second. I, I was listen when I wait a
- 38:36second when I tell you I'm 510 and a quarter you laugh at me.
- 38:39Oh, you have to add the quarter you have to add the quarter.
- 38:42But when I say 66 and he says. Six quarter in it which is what
- 38:46the depend. Is stop it you?
- 38:48You really are a pain in the ass.
- 38:50You really, really are a pain in my ass.
- 38:53I have a sitting in my. Shoes I got I got a short buddy
- 38:56too give you some of those shoes that like add like two or three
- 39:00inches you know like sneakers I. Shoot you this address.
- 39:05Yeah, We'll send you this address.
- 39:06Yeah. Shut up, quit.
- 39:08Shut up. You I no, But what?
- 39:10What kind of diet? I mean, as a professional
- 39:12football player, as an elite player, what was your diet?
- 39:15What, what was your favorite hot dog?
- 39:17You have a hot dog you like? How many hamburgers could eat
- 39:20eat at once I. Mean mostly mine was just like
- 39:22I, I, I probably ate like 3 or 4 like rib eyes a week, you know,
- 39:30like steak. Steak was like my, my thing, you
- 39:33know, some, some I like lobsters too.
- 39:37But like, yeah, like, so if I didn't eat a steak or some type
- 39:42of beef, then I'm going to do, I'll do like seafood or, or
- 39:46something like that. But I've never had to, I never
- 39:48had to maintain, you know, like my weight or have to watch it
- 39:52because it was pretty, you know, like I was, my metabolism is so
- 39:56high, you know, it was fine. So eating, you know, going to,
- 40:02you know, say, Ruth Chris and eating like the sweet potato
- 40:06casserole and the big rib eye, you know, roof.
- 40:11Yeah, like that. That's sweet potato casserole.
- 40:18Yeah. I mean, I haven't had it in
- 40:20years, but no, I haven't. I just had it like four or five
- 40:23days ago. Brag about it.
- 40:26It's still good. Yeah, it's sure.
- 40:29I know, I know. I just haven't had it in a
- 40:31while. Like I don't eat a lot of steak
- 40:33anymore. Like now if I'm eating like a,
- 40:36A, like a, a meat, a brown meat or whatever, it's going to be
- 40:39like paws. It's going to be like lamb
- 40:45chops, like I love. I love lamb chops.
- 40:48Yeah, one of my favorite, favorite things.
- 40:49So, yeah, I mean, that's kind of like the the heavy protein that
- 40:53I'll that I'll eat now, you know, and it's like chicken and
- 40:57fish still like that. Right.
- 41:01You know, you are a wonderful guy, man.
- 41:03You're a big you're a juicy of a man.
- 41:06And you've done there it is. Oh, thank you.
- 41:09This this, this ridiculous picture, man.
- 41:12What is wrong? I do not wear shoes that make
- 41:15me, you know. And by the way, what is this?
- 41:17I do not wear jeans like that. I do not wear.
- 41:20Jeans like that either. What is that?
- 41:23No, no, no. They're regular, like sneakers.
- 41:25I'm not a drag queen, all right? They're just not looking like
- 41:28regular sneakers. They're not healed.
- 41:30They look, they look just like regular sneakers and like.
- 41:33Add a couple. Yeah, they add you like 3 inches
- 41:36on there, OK. That doesn't happen.
- 41:39I don't need that. I'm 5/10 and 1/4.
- 41:41I, I'm good. An average male here in in the
- 41:44United States is 5/8. So I'm two inches and 1/4 taller
- 41:49than the average male. All right, I'm in good shape.
- 41:53You laugh. But I'm.
- 41:55I don't. Know my daughters height, Yeah.
- 41:57Thank you. Thank you, Albert.
- 41:59Thank. You.
- 42:00Make me feel low about myself even more.
- 42:02I'm just saying I'll try to give you some shoes bro.
- 42:04You're already low. I'm not small.
- 42:07What is this? I'm two inches away from six
- 42:10feet. Actually, I'm less than two
- 42:11inches from six feet. Poor.
- 42:14Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, listen, I, I, I got size,
- 42:17I'm in good shape. So I.
- 42:19I get those shoes, bro. People will be looking at you.
- 42:21I'm like, oh, there ain't no heels.
- 42:24There ain't no heels. They're just regular sneakers.
- 42:26Regular sneaks, man. Yeah.
- 42:27Regular sneaks, I wear Jordans, man, I wear all different things
- 42:30you see in the back Jordans, look at that look at this look
- 42:33at these these are very rare sneakers over here These are
- 42:36right now they're selling online these are the.
- 42:39Freddy. Cookers.
- 42:40No more than that $100,000 these.
- 42:42Sneakers. Yeah, go look at them.
- 42:45Go look at them. I'm telling I'm not lying to
- 42:46you. Look them up.
- 42:48These sneakers are going right now.
- 42:50You look them up right now, people are selling them for 50,
- 42:53sixty, 70,000 people are buying them.
- 42:56I have them. I bought them at one point years
- 42:59and years ago. I bought them for 500 bucks and
- 43:01look what they they're never been one.
- 43:03Never. Been those are nice.
- 43:04You got them from Ganasser. Shut up.
- 43:08You're quitting. They're real.
- 43:09You're. What's that 7?
- 43:13No, first of all, there are elevens.
- 43:18They're all 11. I actually wear 11 1/2 twelves.
- 43:23Men's. Yeah, men's.
- 43:25What is this, Albert? What is this joking?
- 43:28Is throwing curve balls at me? Yes.
- 43:30Man's. First of all, I'm a big dude,
- 43:32man, you might not Look, I'm 200.
- 43:34I'm. I'm five, 10210 lbs.
- 43:37I'm in Great. Oh, OK.
- 43:38I'm a I'm 210. I'm a big dude.
- 43:41I'm on small. Shut up, Quentin.
- 43:44Quentin, you better watch your step, man.
- 43:47You better watch it anyways. See you.
- 43:49Soon, Albert, you're fantastic. We would love to get you on the
- 43:52show again, your teams, everything, all your football
- 43:56knowledge and thank God you're away from the commanders or an
- 43:59organization that just needs to figure things out.
- 44:01I I like Dan Quinn. They're better now.
- 44:03Like I like Dan Quinn. The way they're looking now.
- 44:05I like Dan. Quinn, the way they're.
- 44:06Looking Yeah, I like Danny. They have reached out too.
- 44:08I just. I haven't been yet, you know.
- 44:11You should go with I think Dan Quinn is a great defensive guy
- 44:14and I think that he he he grows so early in his everything that
- 44:19he did with Atlanta, he he, he got to a high level with Atlanta
- 44:22and then fell down and, and, and the same thing is going
- 44:25Washington first year. He goes all the way to an NFC
- 44:28title game and they fall, fall down.
- 44:31I want it Dan Quinn, I root for him.
- 44:33He coached in Hofstra. He's like a he's like a New
- 44:36York, New Jersey guy. So I root for the guy.
- 44:38I want him to succeed. But you know.
- 44:41Yeah, the fans deserve it. They I'm hoping for it.
- 44:44I mean, they had trouble with like injuries and things like
- 44:47that. But I still think that, you
- 44:50know, Washington commanders are are still a legit team and
- 44:53hopefully they're healthy this year and they make some good
- 44:56picks and you'll see them back in the playoffs.
- 44:58I mean, the the fans, they absolutely deserve it.
- 45:01There they have Jaden Daniels. I love him.
- 45:03I think he's a great kid and he's a.
- 45:05Beast I love. I love his mom.
- 45:08Yeah, she's. I like, I like Lamar Jackson's
- 45:12mom, she's sitting on all those soup commercials.
- 45:14I, I love, I love her too. And she's like, I'm his agent.
- 45:20That's it. You'll like it.
- 45:21I I love, I love when their parents who was it?
- 45:24Was it Eli Apple? His mom was like, Oh my God,
- 45:27nuts. She was nuts as soon as she
- 45:29every time she was in the spotlight more than her son was.
- 45:33She's like, my son is Eli Apple. Take advantage that opportunity.
- 45:39It's, it's, it's great. It really is.
- 45:41I at least I look at you, Albert, you were successful and
- 45:45you did so well for yourself. I'm happy for you and, and
- 45:47please, I know your daughter's 510 and maybe she's a
- 45:51supermodel. Don't don't you know this is not
- 45:53bad. I mean, 5-10 and a quarter is
- 45:55pretty good, man. I'm a pretty good size.
- 45:57Anyways, we love you Al, and we'd love to get you back on the
- 46:01show. Keep up the good work and we'll
- 46:03talk to you soon and, you know, maybe.
- 46:05First section man Al if you want.
- 46:07Al, if you want to come on during the draft show, we're
- 46:09having a draft show on Thursday. If you want to come right in and
- 46:14and talk about. The Tennessee pick, Yeah.
- 46:15For the Tennessee pick, come in. Come in, hang on.
- 46:17We're actually gonna be like in Pittsburgh.
- 46:20Boy, oh boy, you know Keith Bullock.
- 46:23So they have the draft party, OK there.
- 46:26And he's. Just been on our show.
- 46:27He's just. Yeah, tell them all.
- 46:29Yeah. Yeah.
- 46:30So we'll be, we'll be right there at his party.
- 46:32But yeah, I mean, if I'm not on at his time, yes, hit me up,
- 46:37yes. I side note, I want to just ask,
- 46:40I saw on your social media, what were you talking him about with
- 46:43that whole Syracuse logo thing? It just, I mean, we were like,
- 46:48what is the orange man? What?
- 46:51What is that? You know what I mean?
- 46:53Like, yeah, like orange man stuff.
- 46:57That's a Keith Bullock is 1 interesting dude, man, that guy,
- 47:02to get him to smile, first of all, when he came out, he's been
- 47:04on a show like 2-3 times and every time he comes, he, he, he
- 47:08doesn't smile. You have to get him to pull out
- 47:11that smile. Once he's smiling, he's like, oh
- 47:14man, dude, you're crazy, you're crazy.
- 47:16I haven't. He's a he's a, he's a, he's an
- 47:19intelligent businessman. And then like, so he's always
- 47:23going to be straight laced, even like like kind of with people we
- 47:26don't really know. But then like, you know, I'm
- 47:28like, oh man, like, I mean, that's, that's my brother, you
- 47:31know, so like he always, we always laughing or something
- 47:35like that, you know, so that's how he is.
- 47:37But I mean, a brilliant guy got a bunch of businesses,
- 47:40restaurants and all kinds of stuff.
- 47:43So I got. To be friends with him, I got to
- 47:45be friends with him. Yeah, We.
- 47:46Got to hang out. He's a New Yorker, though, you
- 47:48know what I'm saying? That's right.
- 47:50Yeah, that's right. That's right.
- 47:51New York. Duke, Duke.
- 47:53Duke. Duke, Duke.
- 47:55That's North Carolina. But you know.
- 47:56It's I'm just north. Carolina, OK, there's New York.
- 48:00There it is. Go New York.
- 48:02Go New York. Go there.
- 48:04We. Go.
- 48:04They lose it, by the way. Well, what else is new anyways?
- 48:08Al, we love you. Keep up the good work we'll
- 48:10reach. Out appreciate you bro.
- 48:12Yeah, appreciate you guys enjoyed it indeed.
- 48:15Albert Haynsworth, the one and only former Titan commander,
- 48:20Patriot, Buccaneer, just the ringleader, ladies and
- 48:24gentlemen, of the Titans defense at its dominant stage.
- 48:28And like he said, if if they had a lick of offense, maybe they
- 48:33play in the Super Bowl. Did he win with the Patriots?
- 48:35No, no. He didn't.
- 48:36Actually, I think I believe he was there with when Lee Bottom
- 48:39was there on that team that lost to the Giants, I believe he was
- 48:42part of that. How wonderful.
- 48:44Yeah, pioneer man, elder statesman in defensive line
- 48:47world really broke the the wedge broke us through and getting us
- 48:51paid. So definitely salute to Big Owl.
- 48:55Big Owl, The Owl Man, the Ouster, the Alderundu.
- 48:59So, Errol, Are you ready for this?
- 49:01We're going to do on the fly. Call your shot.
- 49:03All right, let's do it. Call your shot.
- 49:05I'm not an X's and O's guy, right?
- 49:07I'm not a tactician. I'm a motivator in the classic
- 49:10sense of the word. You know, Lombardi, Charles
- 49:11Lindbergh, that nun over in India, like those people call
- 49:15your shot. All right, Errol, it's time to
- 49:22make predictions that are a little outlandish.
- 49:25You know, I'm not afraid of this.
- 49:27I know you're not afraid of this.
- 49:28It's time to call your shot. All right?
- 49:32Who do you want to go first? I'm going to say speedy first, Q
- 49:36second, fish third, me 4th. All right, so my room is
- 49:40actually already draft related anyway, so there are 6 teams
- 49:44with multiple first round picks in this draft.
- 49:47Obviously both New York teams now, the Browns, the Chiefs, the
- 49:51Dolphins and the Cowboys. So six of those teams have two
- 49:54first round picks. I'm going to say two of them
- 49:57trade back into the first round and get a third first round
- 50:01pick, most likely candidates. I'm going to say the Chiefs and
- 50:03the Browns because the Browns, they're very desperate.
- 50:05They have AGM that's I thought was good for a while.
- 50:08Then it's all of a sudden he's got into a tailspin.
- 50:10And the Chiefs, we've seen them do that a lot with Xavier
- 50:12Worthy. They traded up.
- 50:13They traded up to get Trent Mcduffy from the second round to
- 50:1621. So I could see them very likely
- 50:18or the Giants or The Jets, I think one of them could trade
- 50:20their early second round pick into the first round.
- 50:22So my Collier shot is multiple teams will have three first
- 50:25round picks. All right, cute.
- 50:29I got The Jets that 2 with Averys.
- 50:32I don't think nobody's going to ever debate that.
- 50:34And then for what, 16, right? Yeah, 16.
- 50:38Yeah, I'm going to go. They're going to go offense, so
- 50:43they're going to go wide receiver.
- 50:44I'm going to say they're probably going to go Amari.
- 50:49Mari Ku. OK.
- 50:50All right. Come on paper.
- 50:53Junior All right, here's mine. The Giants are going to take
- 50:58sunny Styles at #5 there's. Ray Lewis.
- 51:00Ray Lewis. The next Ray Lewis Sunny Styles
- 51:03sun sunny like sunny on the Causeway New York City
- 51:07Godfather. He is going to be the godfather
- 51:09of the defense. Great job then picking him.
- 51:12But then at 10, I don't think Caleb Downs will be there.
- 51:16I think he will go before that. So the Giants will trade back.
- 51:19They will trade back with the Detroit Lions, who want to get
- 51:22up there and they want to get Reuben Bain and add him to that
- 51:26defense opposite Aiden Hutchinson.
- 51:28And instead, because he's still going to be there and the Giants
- 51:30will trade back and wait on someone you don't like a lot,
- 51:34Errol. I know where you're.
- 51:36Going because he's not healthy, but his name's Jordan Tyson and
- 51:40if he can stay healthy, he is the perfect compliment to Malik.
- 51:44Neighbors on the opposite side and they had him in for a visit.
- 51:47They wined and dined him. I'm hearing Tyson might be their
- 51:50guy. I just don't think you can take
- 51:51him at 10. I see them trading back to do
- 51:53that. Get that extra third take, my
- 51:55boy Lee Hunter. Get rid of a hurt deep defensive
- 51:58tackle to take on another injured player.
- 52:01All right, I didn't say they're smart.
- 52:03Fish. The scenario I'm scared with the
- 52:05Giants trading back into the first round is they'll take
- 52:07either one of the two undersized receivers with with Boston or
- 52:12the other one we're talking about.
- 52:12I forget his. Name now conception.
- 52:14Yeah. All right, I got Reese going to.
- 52:17I don't think there's an argument with that.
- 52:18The Giants are going to get Sonny Styles at 5:00.
- 52:21I absolutely believe that's where they're going at 10.
- 52:23They're not moving back. They're going to get Jordan
- 52:26there. Tyson's going to go there at 10.
- 52:27They're not moving back forward. They're going to be sitting
- 52:30there. They're going to draft Jordan's.
- 52:31Everything that I've heard is they love the kid.
- 52:33Tyson's going to go 10. He's going to be the first wide
- 52:36receiver off, and I'm going to predict this.
- 52:39The Jets are going to try to get, and I'll say this, Tate is
- 52:44going to be there. I think The Jets try to move up
- 52:46and try to get Tate and sneak in there and get the wide receiver
- 52:49to play on the other side with Mr. Buckeye himself, Garrett
- 52:53Wilson. You have two Buckeyes on one,
- 52:55one one guy on one side and the other guy on the other.
- 52:58I think The Jets will try to move up a couple of spots, maybe
- 53:02give up one of their second round draft picks to move up
- 53:05maybe 2 spots to get Tate. Wow.
- 53:09And there it is. We'll see on Thursday.
- 53:11Should be fun. So there you go.
- 53:14I mean, cuz I've been hearing that The Jets really like Tate
- 53:17Garrett Wilson and him are very close.
- 53:19They train together, They've been training together in this
- 53:21offseason. So and they say that this kids
- 53:24hands are the best hands that they've seen since Jefferson.
- 53:29They think his hands are like like a Justin Jefferson's.
- 53:32Sorry you had one. That's what I'm just, I'm just
- 53:34saying. I'm not saying that he's.
- 53:35Just he's come up here and say that he got best hands and.
- 53:37No, no, they're just saying that he has.
- 53:39Dude, how many times did he drop the ball?
- 53:41I mean the guy don't drop the ball.
- 53:44The guy, they say that his hands are like.
- 53:46They like, they like glue. They like glue, and that's what
- 53:49The Jets need. They need a short thing, a guy
- 53:51that's going to go up there, get the ball and come.
- 53:53Down hey Arrow they. Don't need the office.
- 53:55Errol, you're an Eagles fan, so you'll remember this is my
- 53:57favorite press conference of all time as an Eagles receiver.
- 54:00He was terrible except for this one game, Freddie Mitchell, and
- 54:03he gets in front of the camera with a hat on Fedora and he
- 54:05goes. I just want to thank these hands
- 54:07for being so great. I don't think I would ever.
- 54:10Tell these press conference ever.
- 54:11I don't think I'll ever talk to my hands because if I do it's,
- 54:15it's for something else, if you know what I mean.
- 54:17That's about it. That's the only time I'm going
- 54:19to be talking to my hands. But anything out of that thought
- 54:24I, I when I played hockey, it wasn't like, hey Johnny, hey
- 54:27Will are. We ready to play?
- 54:28You know what I mean? I, I, I wouldn't be doing that.

- 55:02He's a Celtic fan anyways. Hey, yeah.
- 55:06But he claims he's a Knicks fan since 2023.
- 55:08He might have three nuts. And Errol claims he's a Jets fan
- 55:11but loves Philadelphia Eagles. It happens.
- 55:14To the I like Philadelphia. I don't want to know why I don't
- 55:17I. Really.
- 55:18Don't Donovan McNabb. That's why I.
- 55:21He loves how Donovan McNabb got brought down by OCU Mignora 6
- 55:25times in that one he. Tastes himself.
- 55:27No, that's not a huge fan. Anyway, I never ever played in
- 55:3020 years, so he's. Still my he's.
- 55:32Still a. Dude, I followed him his whole
- 55:34career. Even when he played up in
- 55:36Syracuse. I loved him.
- 55:38He was my favorite player. I watched him play high school
- 55:40ball. He was always, as a kid, I
- 55:43always loved him. So when he went to the Eagles, I
- 55:46rooted for him so and I stuck by it.
- 55:48The The Jets have always been a bad organization, a bad team.
- 55:51But I, I I'm a Jet fan. Yeah, they have two. 1009 we
- 55:55went to the ABC Championship. Sorry, we're going to mention
- 55:59times that were good and and they failed to.
- 56:01Get we're on a little drought, we're going to rebuild the face,
- 56:03but we'll see the playoffs. They've never seen the promised
- 56:06land in any of those years, so I.
- 56:08You can we went to the promised land in the 601960 but. 1969
- 56:12they couldn't have done that. Aaron Klein wasn't born yet.
- 56:14Made my nipples hard. Anyways, that that's about it.
- 56:17I wasn't even alive to make my nipples hard anyways.
- 56:21Anyways, that's it for our show ladies and gentlemen.
