- Kelsey: ⁓ no, my face is frozen on there. It was just frozen in like a Unbelievable. So many bloopers. Did you know celery was basically the avocado toast of the Victorian era? And peanut butter and jelly makes for great garden design. I'm Kelsey Siegelov, and on Garden Like, I go looking for gardening inspiration in unusual places to find out how we can garden like worlds both real and imagined. Sometimes I go down those rabbit holes myself, and sometimes I find someone who knows way more about that subject than I do, and I start asking questions. So that's basically the show. Me nerding out about something, finding the people that can help me understand it, and taking you along with me. This season we're digging into theme parks, Green Witches, Christmas 1899, and so much more. And every episode comes back to the same question. How do we garden like this? Season one begins October 1st. Follow Garden Like wherever you listen to podcasts and follow at GardenLikePod on social media to see what I'm gardening like next. she's improving. Okay. Tell you about the podcast, it's regardless of my little intro bit. Okay. And we'll we'll do it. I love finding out about gardens through all sorts of different types of inspiration. That's not through the garden itself. I love learning about gardening through things like history and theme parks, video games, books. I like learning about gardening from places that aren't just the dirt in my own backyard, which is why I've started the podcast Garden Like, where every episode we garden like blank, garden like Christmas 1899, garden like Epcot, garden like My brain just said a valivictorian, but that's not one of the podcast episodes. When it comes to gardening, I don't just look for inspiration in actual gardens. I love looking for inspiration all over the place. And by place, I mean both real and not real places. I'm talking theme parks. I'm talking history. I'm talking I do again. I decided to start a gardening podcast because I couldn't find a garden podcast that fit the way my brain actually thinks about gardening. For me, I've only been gardening for three years, and the places I find my garden inspiration are things like video games, movies, theme parks, history. And that's what I wanted to share with the listeners of the Garden Like podcast, where every episode you'll learn how to garden like blank, garden like Epcot's World Showcase, garden like a green witch. Garden like a sustainable urban flower farmer, garden like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. There are so many different ways to garden like, and in this podcast, we are going to talk to historians, flower farmers. Theme park designers, landscape architects, and just general fans of gardening in order to learn how we can garden like all these different pieces of inspiration. Garden Like comes out on October first, follow it at Garden Like Premieres on October first, with a first episode all about the Gardens of Epcot's World Showcase. And from there, we'll keep learning about more and more different subjects. The Garden Like Podcast premieres on October 1st, so check it out wherever you listen to podcasts, and also follow us at GardenLikePod, anywhere you follow social media. He I could I could do it again, coach, put me in. Kiss begins with K. Every plant begins with P. Good. I just don't remember where I started from. I think it was like why I started this. ⁓ Mm. Boogie, boogie, boogie, boogie. I don't know how sentences start. What? Yes. Plants. When I look for inspiration about gardening, it never comes from my garden itself. I'm looking at places both real and imagined, learning how to garden like things like theme parks, garden like video games, garden like green witches, gardening like all these different areas of existence that I find cool and interesting and has plants. Trying to like think of how I started the first one. I guess it doesn't matter. I'm just gonna edit it all together and find something. I love l ⁓ sorry. My van. Listen to my podcast for us We wanna clear the jobs. ⁓ that won't go in the edit so we don't give for you. I love looking at garden inspiration in places that aren't actual real gardens. So for me that means learning to garden like Stardew Valley, garden like witchcraft ⁓ some people think witchcraft is real. I think you're right that I do have stuff in there. Cool. Ooh, that is a nice line, previous Kelsey. ⁓ ⁓ we could stop it.
