  Speaker 1: Last night, and as I give you a little opportunity

  Speaker 1: to read it long and as you hear along grabbing

  Speaker 1: those Bibles you get on the Bible app, you know

  Speaker 1: it's something I would love to mention is my impatientness,

  Speaker 1: being very impatient with relationships and scenarios, and I'm still

  Speaker 1: a work in progress. I do these Bible studies also

  Speaker 1: for myself. I don't do it to get clout. I

  Speaker 1: don't do it to get famous. I know that I

  Speaker 1: have a voice and I have the ability to be

  Speaker 1: able to want to do God's will.

  Speaker 3: Nobody is forcing me to do this.

  Speaker 1: This is a calling on my life, as well as
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: music and other plans that God's going to have in

  Speaker 1: my life. So Matthew Chapter three, and I also want

  Speaker 1: to just mention that I don't go through all the

  Speaker 1: whole chapter because I only have fifteen minutes. I want
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: to make the segments very short and simple, so it's

  Speaker 1: where you can be able to go through them even

  Speaker 1: if you want to just listen to one or two

  Speaker 1: a night, that's up to you. It's just fifteen minutes.

  Speaker 1: You add another fifteen to thirty minutes. That's not a

  Speaker 1: whole lot of time, but it's enough time to be

  Speaker 1: able to obtain the word amen. So I also will

  Speaker 1: be doing part twos later on, going back to the

  Speaker 1: chapters and finishing them out parts by parts, So just

  Speaker 1: I go through one through fifteen in every segment, so

  Speaker 1: I go through fifteen verses, just about.

  Speaker 3: A verse a minute. So let's let the Holy Spirit

  Speaker 1: And Matthew chapter three, verse one, and it is titled
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: before the verse, John the Baptist prepares a way for
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: Jesus verse one. While Jesus still live in Netherus, a
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: man called John the Baptist was speaking a message from God.
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: He was doing this in the wilderness in Judah verse two.
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: He told people, you must turn away from your sins
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: and change how you live. Do this now, because the
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: Kingdom of Heaven has come very near. These two verses
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: here were talking about the wilderness.
• 4:12
  Speaker 3: Before Jesus came, there was a lot of sin.
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: Not saying that there's less sin now, but there's more
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: holiness on this earth.
• 4:19
  Speaker 3: There's heaven on earth, there's hell on earth.

  Speaker 1: But what John was doing was preparing the way he
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: was a not only just a disciple of God, but
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: an apostle and being of a follower of Christ. Now
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: I was a believer once, so I want you to
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: understand that there was a lot of people that came
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: to believe John and what he was saying. But when
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: Jesus came and then it just was like confirmation. I
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: want to get even deeper than this.
• 5:04
  Speaker 3: Though.
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: When it's talking about because the Kingdom of Heaven has
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: come very near, it's not talking about like the end
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: of the world, the end of the times. During that time,
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: there was a transiit period where we're talking about Jesus coming, right,
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: and that was the Kingdom of Heaven that was coming.

  Speaker 1: There was his son, God's son coming to save the world.

  Speaker 1: And when we're talking about a message from God, right,
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: God chooses certain people that he knows that will carry
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: out the message.

  Speaker 3: Amen.

  Speaker 1: So with verse three stating God's prophet Isaiah spoke about
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: this man John long ago. He said, somebody's voice is
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: shouting in the wilderness. The Lord will come soon.

  Speaker 3: So prepare a way for him, make the paths straight
• 6:08
  Speaker 3: for him. Verse four.

  Speaker 1: John wore clothes made from the hair of a camel.
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: He also wore a belt made from leather. His usual
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: food was locusts and honey from the wilderness. A lot
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: of you are in your wilderness season. I know I am,
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: and living in my sin even as a believer and
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: still being on the fence about really giving my life
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: to Christ. I had to go through a bottom. You
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: can call it a wilderness season, you can call it.
• 6:50
  Speaker 3: Hell truthfully, and.
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: Being in the wilderness part is very crucial to getting
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: to the promised land. Were talking also about the wilderness
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: and the kingdom of Heaven, right, And that's the promised
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: land that I'm talking about, the Kingdom of Heaven.
• 7:11
  Speaker 3: And John was really the apostle that, as we get
• 7:18
  Speaker 3: deeper into the verses, that was.
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: Making the way because exactly what John was doing was
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: exactly what God.
• 7:29
  Speaker 3: Wanted him to do, and as well, Jesus was on
• 7:32
  Speaker 3: the way. So let's get into a verse five. Many
• 7:35
  Speaker 3: people went to listen to John.
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: They lived in Jerusalem and all the other places in
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: Judah and near the Jordan River.

  Speaker 3: This is where they would he would do in the baptisms.

  Speaker 3: Verse six. The people agreed that they had done wrong things.
• 7:51
  Speaker 3: They knew what they were doing.

  Speaker 1: Then John baptized them in the Jordan River. When we

  Speaker 1: get in verse seven, we're gonna get deeper into why
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: a lot of the religious leaders didn't like this. But
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: before we even get deeper into this, because I know this,
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: Jesus was baptized by John, and he didn't think that
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: he was.

  Speaker 3: Good enough to even baptize Jesus.
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: But when Jesus chooses you, there ain't no, there's no oh, I'm.
• 8:32
  Speaker 3: Not good enough.
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: You don't have to be good enough. He knows your heart,
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: He knows how deceitful it is. He knows where you're at.
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: He wants your heart, he wants to be able to
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: make it pure.

  Speaker 3: Amen. So let's dive deeper into this real quick. Verse seven.

  Speaker 1: Many Pharisees and Satitudes came to John. They wanted John
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: to baptize them. He said to them, you are like
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: dangerous snakes.
• 9:04
  Speaker 3: God is angry.

  Speaker 1: You are trying to run away from him, but he
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: will soon punish people like you.

  Speaker 3: Verse eight. You have to show that.

  Speaker 1: You are sorry, change how you live, stop doing things

  Speaker 1: that God does not like. Let's get into verse nine.

  Speaker 1: Then we'll dive deeper into this and break it down.

  Speaker 1: Verse nine, do not say to yourselves this is in parentheses.

  Speaker 1: We are in the family of Abraham. God will surely

  Speaker 1: God can take these stones and use them and make

  Speaker 3: They knew that they were doing wrong, So we're talking

  Speaker 1: Honest, be open, be willing to change.

  Speaker 3: a lot of the people that were listening to John.

  Speaker 1: They knew that they were doing wrong and there had

  Speaker 1: to been some other way to live and be consistent

  Speaker 1: with it. And John was trying to show that because

  Speaker 1: when you were baptized in the Father, the Son, and

  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. Today we can say that that is.

  Speaker 3: Also a process of transition.

  Speaker 1: People think, oh, I get baptized, that's all I can
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: go back to the same way I was living, and
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: everything's gonna be okay, and I'm saved. But through trials
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: and tribulations and through time, after you really accept Lord
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. As you get baptized,
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: you go through these stages, and you go through these transitions.
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: Let me dive a little deeper into that in another segment.

  Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about verse nine, no Verse ten.

  Speaker 3: I'm sorry. You are like trees that have bad fruit.

  Speaker 1: Now now we're talking John's talking about the Pharisees.

  Speaker 3: They wanted to just get the blessed.

  Speaker 1: They just wanted to have and use it for their

  Speaker 1: own religious traits and reasons. You are like trees that

  Speaker 1: have bad fruit. God has an axe ready to use. Ooh,

  Speaker 1: that even rhymes. Let me say that again.

  Speaker 3: You are like trees that have bad fruit. God has

  Speaker 3: an axe ready to use. Almost rhymes. He will cut

  Speaker 3: down every tree that does not make good fruit. He

  Speaker 3: will throw those trees into the fire. Now we're talking
• 11:53
  Speaker 3: about trees, right, We're like trees.

  Speaker 1: When we think about it. Wow, look at that long reach.

  Speaker 3: We're talking about we are trees. We have limbs just

  Speaker 1: You know, these these trees that I'm actually out outdoors

  Speaker 1: and a lot of these trees they fall and due time,

  Speaker 1: you know, we fall. But when we're talking about this

  Speaker 1: in a parable right, we're talking about the fruits of the.

  Speaker 3: Spirit, they didn't have the fruits of the spirit. We're
• 12:32
  Speaker 3: talking about the Pharisees.

  Speaker 1: They were just the religious leaders and they were doing
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: their way of church. Right, We're talking about how God
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: has the axe ready and every tree that does not
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: make good fruit, He's throwing them into the fire.

  Speaker 3: We're talking about us as.
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: Human beings that are not following God, and everybody falls
• 12:58
  Speaker 1: short of God's standards in this.

  Speaker 3: This is why Jesus had to be sent.

  Speaker 1: I want to get deeper into this because we're talking

  Speaker 1: about we're talking about John the.

  Speaker 3: Baptist prepares a way for Jesus.

  Speaker 1: How are we making how are we right making it

  Speaker 1: straight for Jesus.

  Speaker 3: We're just regular human beings. No, we are child's children

  Speaker 3: of God. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So let's dive deeper. Sometimes we underestimate and we forget,

  Speaker 1: we get distracted by what we really are. Now there

  Speaker 1: are children of Satan as well, so let's get deeper

  Speaker 1: into that. In another segment, verse eleven, I baptize you

  Speaker 1: with water.

  Speaker 3: This shows that.

  Speaker 1: You want to change the way that you live, but

  Speaker 1: another person will come.

  Speaker 3: We're talking about Jesus here. He is greater than i am.

  Speaker 1: I am not good enough even to carry his shoes

  Speaker 1: for him. This other person will baptize you with the
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit and with fire.

  Speaker 3: He is like a farmer who brings the wheat home

  Speaker 3: from his fields field.

  Speaker 1: He uses a special tool to throw the wheats up
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: in the air. He does this to make the wheat
• 14:15
  Speaker 1: seeds separate from what remains.

  Speaker 3: Then he cleans his yard.

  Speaker 1: He carefully stores all the seeds to keep them safe,
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: but he burns everything else in a great fire that
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: nobody can stop. Or we're talking about Jesus and what
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: his purpose is. I'm gonna end it right here. Is

  Speaker 1: that he comes to save souls and he also comes
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: to separate and he still does.

  Speaker 3: That to this day. He is the Way, the truth,
