Latest / Relatables / EP 40 - ARE WOMEN ACTUALLY FUNNIER THAN MEN?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:01Speaker 2: If you see a brunette woman looking at me yelling,
- 0:03Speaker 2: just know I'm right where I want to be.
- 0:04Speaker 3: What do you would say that you are a Lightning
- 0:21Speaker 3: McQueen fan?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Is that correct?
- 0:22Speaker 1: I am the biggest Lightning McQueen fan, actually.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Would you say you're a Cars fan? Like the movie?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yes, I haven't watched it in a while.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But number one and two had me. Like the ones
- 0:35Speaker 1: after that, like how he turns into like a secret
- 0:37Speaker 1: agent and that, not so much.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Full transparency, I haven't watched three.
- 0:39Speaker 1: You haven't watched three?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Is there a fourth?
- 0:42Speaker 1: I think there's only three. I think there might be
- 0:43Speaker 1: a fourth coming out.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Well, that'd be sick anyway, because... You're this self-proclaimed Lightning
- 0:50Speaker 2: McQueen fan. Not really. I just kind of thought. And also,
- 0:53Speaker 2: you're wearing Lightning McQueen socks.
- 0:54Speaker 1: These were a gift from my girlfriend's mother, actually.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Do you have a top five characters from Cars? I
- 1:00Speaker 2: didn't even know if you would or not.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Top five characters from Cars.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Do you know five characters? Lightning McQueen, Mater.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Lightning McQueen's girlfriend. Can't remember her name.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Big fan over it. Was this the whole purpose?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Well, you can be a fan without actually getting into
- 1:15Speaker 1: the nitty gritty stuff.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree. I agree. Can you be a fan?
- 1:21Speaker 1: I see where this is going. If you ask me
- 1:25Speaker 1: to name five people from Lord of the Rings, I
- 1:27Speaker 1: probably couldn't do it though.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Really? I love that show.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Frodo, Gandalf, Legolas.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:39Speaker 1: The really fat.
- 1:41Speaker 1: That one who's really funny I forgot what's his name.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I honestly don't even know what you're talking about Samwise
- 1:48Speaker 2: Gamgee nah Samwise Gamgee nah I always forget about him
- 1:50Speaker 2: I just gave you one there by the way see
- 1:52Speaker 2: I'm not like I'm not good with names alright so
- 1:56Speaker 2: you named three Cars characters What's the point of this?
- 2:00Speaker 2: I just was wondering if you were a big fan
- 2:02Speaker 2: of the Cars franchise or if it's just Lightning McQueen himself.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Trying to make me feel bad about my hobbies?
- 2:08Speaker 2: This can't be much of a hobby. Oh, here's what
- 2:12Speaker 2: I was trying to prove. I'm just not obsessed with
- 2:13Speaker 2: stuff like you. Now that I actually am thinking about it,
- 2:17Speaker 2: originally when I thought of that, I was just trying
- 2:19Speaker 2: to see if you even knew five characters from Cars
- 2:22Speaker 2: because you're allowed to be a fan of Lightning McQueen. Yeah,
- 2:24Speaker 2: I am. And not everyone else.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:27Speaker 2: But what I'm starting to prove here is Is your
- 2:30Speaker 2: Lightning McQueen fandom performative? Ooh, performative? No, no, no.
- 2:39Speaker 1: The reason I resonate with Lightning McQueen, though, is he
- 2:42Speaker 1: is I Am Speed. You know who else is Speed?
- 2:46Speaker 2: In the bedroom? Me, mate. He's a car of the people.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Do you reckon Lightning McQueen's a one-pump chump? That guy's like,
- 2:55Speaker 2: what's the point? I'm not going to just not be
- 2:57Speaker 2: who I am because we're in the bedroom.
- 2:59Speaker 1: 100% he is. The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself,
- 3:02Speaker 1: Odie Clark, a.k.a.
- 3:03Speaker 2: My man.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And my partner in.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Crime, Mr.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Jake Craig, a.k.a.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Daddy. And you guys listening are the baddies.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And Jake, I have a story. And when I say story,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I got a story to start the episode.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I'm excited. I'm excited.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I got back from Europe. Jake got back from Canada.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Gave like overall vibes.
- 3:27Speaker 2: So, I've got a story.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And when we started the podcast, we had a lot
- 3:30Speaker 1: of stories actually. And it's one thing I miss because
- 3:33Speaker 1: we talk so frequently two to three episodes a week.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Like all the stories have come out. We're out of
- 3:37Speaker 1: stories and we don't drink anymore. So, there's less stories
- 3:39Speaker 1: coming out.
- 3:39Speaker 2: We don't really create anymore.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah. But I was in Europe and this is a
- 3:44Speaker 1: story and a half and also probably the worst travel
- 3:47Speaker 1: experience of my life.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I'm not even kidding. Right.
- 3:51Speaker 4: So.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Last week, I spoke about how much I didn't like Hungary.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Sorry to all the Hungarian baddies.
- 3:57Speaker 2: This is part of the reason. Do we get any backlash?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Do we have any Hungarian baddies?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Episode only came out today, so I don't know. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: if there is, fuck them.
- 4:05Speaker 2: You know, yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm not going back. I'm sure there's beautiful parts of Hungary.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I'm sure you're not welcome back. Yeah.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I'm literally not going back. And this is another reason. So,
- 4:15Speaker 1: we got a Euro Pass or Euro Rail, whatever it's called,
- 4:19Speaker 1: to travel amongst the trains all through Europe.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It was really expensive and we paid for first class,
- 4:24Speaker 1: which was like an extra 300 AUD. Because there's classes
- 4:27Speaker 1: in the train systems in Europe, first class, second class.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I think we got like a total of six to
- 4:35Speaker 1: eight trains with most of them being over two to
- 4:38Speaker 1: three hours. So it's a long time.
- 4:40Speaker 2: What's first class like on a train?
- 4:42Speaker 1: So I've caught at this point, now I'm up to Hungary,
- 4:46Speaker 1: six trains. First class, every single one. Beautiful, like air-conditioned.
- 4:52Speaker 1: The life you want to live. Big leg room, talk,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and air-con. A guy comes around and asks if you
- 4:59Speaker 1: want any food. And this is when I was getting
- 5:00Speaker 1: my work done for the podcast, editing and doing everything
- 5:02Speaker 1: like that. I'm living the life. This is what I
- 5:04Speaker 1: paid for.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Fucking happy.
- 5:07Speaker 1: We get to Hungary.
- 5:08Speaker 2: We've had a terrible experience.
- 5:09Speaker 1: We're waiting at the train station. And these trains start
- 5:12Speaker 1: going past. They don't look like any of the trains
- 5:15Speaker 1: we've seen so far. And we're like, oh, no, it's fine.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Exact same like first class system. Everything's booked the exact
- 5:21Speaker 1: same way. We've booked everything else through Austria, Switzerland, wherever else, Slovenia, everywhere. No, Slovenia,
- 5:27Speaker 1: this is where we're going. So we're going Hungary to Slovenia,
- 5:28Speaker 1: which is an eight-hour train. And I didn't say this
- 5:32Speaker 1: is our longest train, eight hours. And I'm thinking first class.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I've got all my work prepped. I'm like, I'm going
- 5:37Speaker 1: to smash out fucking heaps of work. Like in the
- 5:39Speaker 1: air con, I'm like, I'm sorted.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And also.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Didn't really bring that much stuff because there's a shop
- 5:45Speaker 1: on board or like a little cafe restaurant.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, so no food. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And then so all these trains are going past and
- 5:50Speaker 1: Cassie says, like, these trains look a bit funny. I
- 5:52Speaker 1: was like, oh, yeah, like you never know with train stations.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I'm being optimistic rather than my pessimistic self. And then
- 5:58Speaker 1: this train rocks up and we just look at each
- 6:01Speaker 1: other and we go, fuck.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Fuck me.
- 6:05Speaker 4: What?
- 6:05Speaker 1: I want you to picture, you know the train in
- 6:07Speaker 1: Harry Potter? They get on and then it's like these
- 6:11Speaker 1: little sort of, Almost rooms. And it's three seats, three
- 6:15Speaker 1: seats facing each other.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Opposite. Picture that.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Harry Potter is really nice. But instead of Harry Potter,
- 6:21Speaker 1: go to the 1990s in a third world country.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Jeez.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So we get on and it stinks. It's really hot
- 6:30Speaker 1: and it's disgusting and it's packed to the brim. We've
- 6:33Speaker 1: booked seats because first class, you're meant to book seats.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So we go up and we book our seat. We're
- 6:36Speaker 1: in a cabin full of three and three, fully booked.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Everyone's there.
- 6:39Speaker 1: We've got our two seats next to each other. I'm
- 6:40Speaker 1: sitting opposite some Hungarian person. My knees are like touching them.
- 6:43Speaker 1: We've got to go opposite to each other.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And no air con.
- 6:46Speaker 1: It's when that heat wave was going through Europe. And
- 6:50Speaker 1: me and Cassie, Cassie had a little bit of a cry.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And I was just like laughing. I was like, this
- 6:54Speaker 1: is fucked.
- 6:56Speaker 2: If you don't laugh, you'll cry.
- 6:58Speaker 1: We can't do anything at this point. So I'm like,
- 7:00Speaker 1: we have.
- 7:02Speaker 1: This is fucking terrible.
- 7:04Speaker 2: No air conditioning? No air conditioning. No, this is legit a.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Train built in the 90s. And the only air con
- 7:09Speaker 1: you have is the hot air being 38 degrees outside
- 7:12Speaker 1: going through the train.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Oh, it would have made me feel sick. I'm like,
- 7:16Speaker 2: fuck me. This is really, really bad.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Anyway, like we kind of just like cop it a
- 7:20Speaker 1: little bit.
- 7:21Speaker 2: You get comfortable.
- 7:21Speaker 1: The seats were okay, but like, it wasn't nice at all.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It was almost unbearable. It would be like, we were
- 7:26Speaker 1: saying like, you would be mentally prepared for this traveling
- 7:29Speaker 1: from like Thailand to like Bali on a train. Like
- 7:31Speaker 1: that's the equivalent of what it was. But we were,
- 7:34Speaker 1: it sounds like I'm a diva, which I am, but
- 7:36Speaker 1: I'm like, I was fucking mentally prepared for this really
- 7:39Speaker 1: nice air conditioned thing. Anyway, firstly, train's terrible. We're getting
- 7:44Speaker 1: heaps of delays. On the tracks because we're going from
- 7:47Speaker 1: Hungary to Slovenia and there's like border crossings. So every
- 7:50Speaker 1: like couple of hours we're sat in the middle of
- 7:53Speaker 1: like nowhere, 38 degrees in this metal train and it
- 7:58Speaker 1: starts to become a sauna. And this is the first
- 8:00Speaker 1: time I've ever felt like actually sick from heat and
- 8:04Speaker 1: getting like heat stroke. I'm running out of water. Everyone
- 8:07Speaker 1: on the train's running out of water. So we're stopped
- 8:09Speaker 1: for like half an hour at a time, three different times.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And everyone's sticking their head out the window to get
- 8:13Speaker 1: like oxygen and shit. And we can't go anywhere because
- 8:15Speaker 1: we're in.
- 8:15Speaker 2: The middle of nowhere. And you can't get off. No.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And they're like, Cassie's got videos of me. It looks
- 8:20Speaker 1: like I want to die. And she's like laughing. I've
- 8:22Speaker 1: got my shirt off at one point too. And I'm
- 8:24Speaker 1: just sweating balls. And it got so bad at one point.
- 8:27Speaker 1: There was a big group of English people in the
- 8:30Speaker 1: cabin next to us. They asked for water. And we're like,
- 8:32Speaker 1: is there like a cafe on board you can buy water?
- 8:33Speaker 2: And they go, no, no, no, no.
- 8:35Speaker 1: It got so bad that When we were stopped at
- 8:37Speaker 1: one of the places, one of the traffic controllers went
- 8:39Speaker 1: and bought heaps of water and handed it out for free.
- 8:42Speaker 2: That's how bad it was.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So this eight-hour journey from Hungary to Slovenia took nine
- 8:47Speaker 1: and a half hours. We got off the train and
- 8:49Speaker 1: I felt, me and Cassie, felt like we had ran
- 8:52Speaker 1: a marathon. I sweated that much. Didn't do a single
- 8:55Speaker 1: bit of work.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I couldn't. No, I wouldn't.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I was just depressed. And then I was like, this
- 8:59Speaker 1: is probably another reason, combinating reason why I hate hunger.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I was like, I fucking hate that country. I'm never
- 9:05Speaker 1: going back in my fucking whole life.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Bro, can I, I mean, I don't know what I
- 9:13Speaker 2: would have done in that situation. It's good. I did everything.
- 9:16Speaker 1: We did everything right. First class, like I'm bougie. This
- 9:19Speaker 1: is the trip I want. And I was like, and
- 9:21Speaker 1: then we looked it up on chat and chat said,
- 9:22Speaker 1: it's just like a lucky dip what train you get
- 9:24Speaker 1: and they haven't updated them all.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I'm like, why are you?
- 9:27Speaker 1: I was like, this is a, they probably don't have
- 9:29Speaker 1: it in Europe, like a WH & S issue in
- 9:31Speaker 1: a sense of like heat and like water and stuff.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Europe seems just like the craziest place to me. Oh,
- 9:36Speaker 2: it was.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And man, like after it, I honestly, I sound soft,
- 9:40Speaker 1: but it took me a day to recover, mate.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Nah, I want to say as you were talking about that. Yeah.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I don't know what I actually would have done, but
- 9:49Speaker 2: I know myself and Beth quite well. There is a very,
- 9:54Speaker 2: very good chance Beth and I would have got off
- 9:55Speaker 2: that train.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's like, so I actually don't know the
- 9:59Speaker 1: geography of it hungary so there's nothing in the middle
- 10:02Speaker 1: really like nothing we we when we got on we're
- 10:05Speaker 1: like fuck me we should have booked a uh flight
- 10:08Speaker 1: but we already paid for this euro pass and it's
- 10:09Speaker 1: like an extra 35 dollars and a flight took an
- 10:11Speaker 1: hour yeah to book a train and we were just
- 10:12Speaker 1: like this is like hard so it's such a bitch
- 10:16Speaker 1: um but it was like it's almost it's just like
- 10:18Speaker 1: we're too late it was just too late.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I guess yeah you guys just had to do.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It we just had to do it and that's what
- 10:25Speaker 1: i mean in a sense of like i think i
- 10:27Speaker 1: mentally wasn't prepared for the travel i was doing.
- 10:29Speaker 2: True yeah i hear what you're saying if you're mentally
- 10:31Speaker 2: prepared for something like that you can do it one.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Of the best um Whole things of the trip was,
- 10:36Speaker 1: we were in Istanbul, about to fly home. Me and Cassie,
- 10:38Speaker 1: this trip was like, it was great.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Like, don't get me wrong.
- 10:40Speaker 1: There's great parts of it.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But we were like, let's just stay at a Hilton
- 10:43Speaker 1: and pay like 500 bucks, get all exclusive. And man, that's...
- 10:47Speaker 1: Like for your last night? Yeah, that was one of
- 10:48Speaker 1: the best nights. Best answer to the trip, mate.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Are you starting to... You know how you were giving
- 10:55Speaker 2: me shit about how I'm like, fuck camping because hotels exist? No,
- 10:58Speaker 2: but I love camping.
- 10:59Speaker 1: See, I think something to do with me is like mindset.
- 11:03Speaker 1: And like, I'm ready to camp. I'm ready to camp.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I was ready for Hilton.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to treat yourself every once
- 11:10Speaker 2: in a while, I suppose. That's hilarious, bro. Let it go.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Baddies, we're going straight into the IG question of the week.
- 11:22Speaker 1: And it's been a minute, so I'm super excited. But, Jake,
- 11:26Speaker 1: this is our roots. And one thing we've been terrible
- 11:28Speaker 1: at on the pod is.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Is promoting the pod. Promoting the podcast. We always just forget. Guys,
- 11:35Speaker 2: hit that motherfucking subscribe button if you like what you're
- 11:39Speaker 2: hearing and or seeing. All right? We want to hear it.
- 11:43Speaker 2: 50k subs with no time frame because I don't want
- 11:46Speaker 2: to fail. Yeah. So I'm not going to say by
- 11:48Speaker 2: the end of the year anything. Hit that review button
- 11:51Speaker 2: on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Five stars.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Five stars.
- 11:55Speaker 2: And if you don't want to give us five stars,
- 11:57Speaker 2: give us whatever you want, but you've got to give
- 11:58Speaker 2: us a reason. Stay with your fucking chest, all right?
- 12:01Speaker 2: Ten toes down.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And all jokes aside, please. We should be like Good Cop,
- 12:06Speaker 1: Bad Cop.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Tell a friend to tell a friend. Tell a friend.
- 12:09Speaker 1: If you enjoy the pod, tell a friend because it
- 12:11Speaker 1: goes such a long way and that's still the biggest
- 12:13Speaker 1: way to grow a podcast. So we really appreciate it.
- 12:16Speaker 2: We always, always talk about remembering to say... Just like,
- 12:20Speaker 2: you know, what we just did. Guys, just quickly, you know, review, blah, blah.
- 12:23Speaker 2: We suck at it. Yeah, we suck.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Well, we get too into the podcast, man.
- 12:26Speaker 2: We just love it so much. True, I guess.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And we love the baddies too. So if you want
- 12:29Speaker 1: to grow the baddie community, you know what to do.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 1: But back to RJ question of the week. This one's good, Jake.
- 12:35Speaker 1: What's one thing you admire most about the women in
- 12:37Speaker 1: your life?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Ouch.
- 12:39Speaker 1: So, kicking things off good. How they do everything bleeding.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Whoa i didn't expect that's a good point that is
- 12:49Speaker 5: a good point that's.
- 12:50Speaker 2: A good good point yeah they.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Go through life once a month bleeding yeah yeah exactly
- 12:56Speaker 1: and like doesn't affect them get on with their day
- 12:59Speaker 1: we're like men complain about getting a cold yeah i've
- 13:02Speaker 1: all i've.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Actually always thought if uh if men got periods yeah
- 13:07Speaker 2: they'd have a week off every month Oh, 100%.
- 13:09Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Back in the day. No doubt. They'd have a week
- 13:14Speaker 2: off every month.
- 13:15Speaker 5: All right.
- 13:16Speaker 2: All products, like all sanitary products to do with periods
- 13:20Speaker 2: would be free.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Free.
- 13:21Speaker 2: From the government.
- 13:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 1: No, that'd make like the companies pay men to like
- 13:28Speaker 1: use them.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah bro like you would get like as a man
- 13:31Speaker 2: you'd get paid to use the product.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah be like Centrelink you're like your monthly payment yeah
- 13:37Speaker 1: that's fucked up 100% yeah but a great one these
- 13:40Speaker 1: obviously are because we have a 90% demo all sent
- 13:43Speaker 1: in by women.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yeah I wish we had some men in them I
- 13:45Speaker 2: don't know.
- 13:46Speaker 1: A couple of them were like in brackets. This is
- 13:48Speaker 1: what my boyfriend sent.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 13:50Speaker 1: But the women's one were better.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I feel like men would be like carrying around that
- 13:54Speaker 2: dump truck. There was a couple of like tits. From
- 13:59Speaker 2: men or from women? From women.
- 14:03Speaker 1: To be fair, I could see that though. Like a
- 14:06Speaker 1: woman appreciating someone else's bosoms.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Let's be real. You've got a bit of weight hanging
- 14:11Speaker 2: off your chest. That would be bad on the back. Bosoms, breasts, tits.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Cleavage cleavage boobs boobs balloons watermelons.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Fuck mate you're still you should have said at the
- 14:22Speaker 2: start instead of naming five car characters name name five
- 14:28Speaker 2: synonyms for boobs go Let's talk about something you really love.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Let's talk about something you really love, right? That's where
- 14:38Speaker 2: we know how you can get creative. Oh my God.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Thing one and thing two. Let's fucking go.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You know, I'm still a boy at heart. Okay. What's
- 14:47Speaker 1: one thing you admire most about the women in your life?
- 14:49Speaker 1: How they don't let life's cruelties stop them from being
- 14:52Speaker 1: kind to others.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, facts. Yeah, legit.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And like 100% short straw is given to a lot
- 14:57Speaker 1: of women in this life. But like the resilience.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah. It's actually kind of crazy to think about. You
- 15:02Speaker 2: know how if you're born a woman, you're straight away... Like,
- 15:09Speaker 2: so many... So, like, we're talking about the... What's the thing?
- 15:13Speaker 2: The manosphere? The manosphere. So, the manosphere think that women
- 15:16Speaker 2: are born ahead. Like, they think that women are born... So,
- 15:19Speaker 2: I forget about that shit. with this, like, ticket to
- 15:22Speaker 2: just the easiest life, right? Yeah. But, I mean, it's
- 15:26Speaker 2: kind of... How do you even make them see? It's actually...
- 15:29Speaker 2: Is it not the complete opposite?
- 15:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I think so. I think like, I would
- 15:35Speaker 1: like to say equality is getting a lot closer, but
- 15:37Speaker 1: it's still not there.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I actually almost think it's getting, I don't want to
- 15:41Speaker 2: say equality is getting worse.
- 15:44Speaker 1: That's obviously. It's almost like how women are viewed is
- 15:46Speaker 1: getting worse.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Honestly, it honestly is like that. I don't know
- 15:50Speaker 2: what the wording is.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I see what you mean. Like work-wise, I would say
- 15:55Speaker 1: it's getting quite like equal.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I think that 100% from 50, 100 years ago, actual equality,
- 16:02Speaker 2: the gap has gotten smaller. Yes. But the way that
- 16:04Speaker 2: men view women, I think starting, it may have gotten
- 16:07Speaker 2: smaller for a bit. I don't know. But like the
- 16:10Speaker 2: way that shit on social media goes, it honestly seems
- 16:13Speaker 2: like the gaps are spreading in terms of like, like
- 16:16Speaker 2: they think bad.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And the manosphere preying on young men's like part of
- 16:20Speaker 1: the issue, but like also like it's a men's problem
- 16:22Speaker 1: and we don't want to solve it.
- 16:24Speaker 2: No, that's a good point. Beth. The other day she
- 16:27Speaker 2: said she saw something and it was apparently within, it
- 16:31Speaker 2: might've been like three minutes. I hope it's 30, but
- 16:36Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it was three minutes. Within like three
- 16:38Speaker 2: minutes of creating a new Instagram account, young men are
- 16:43Speaker 2: shown something to do like that would be in the manosphere.
- 16:46Speaker 2: So it's like from the algorithm from the start, is
- 16:50Speaker 2: like doing what it's supposed to do and it's showing
- 16:52Speaker 2: them everything. And it's like, but it's from within three
- 16:55Speaker 2: fucking minutes, it's boosting. Yeah.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think I was talking to you about it the
- 16:59Speaker 1: other day. It's almost like men are brilliant at almost
- 17:04Speaker 1: every step of the way within like life, making money
- 17:08Speaker 1: out of that. And like all these systems are there to,
- 17:11Speaker 1: for men to jump in. And one of those systems
- 17:13Speaker 1: is taking advantage of young men who are so impressionable
- 17:16Speaker 1: and realizing they can make money off them by selling
- 17:18Speaker 1: a course or, Gambling is so fucking massive now. You
- 17:21Speaker 1: go on your phone. On YouTube, all my things are
- 17:23Speaker 1: turned into all my stuff I used to like. They
- 17:24Speaker 1: get a gambling brand deal.
- 17:26Speaker 2: If you don't make a million dollars in the first
- 17:28Speaker 2: three spins, then you delete the app. That's what I
- 17:31Speaker 2: keep getting. It's so annoying.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I posted something on social media the other day. It
- 17:35Speaker 1: was just simple things that get taken for granted.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yes, I saw that.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So simple.
- 17:41Speaker 2: But a lot of.
- 17:41Speaker 1: People said, you got commented, referenced as well, we're like
- 17:45Speaker 1: the big brothers people don't have. Whereas like we don't,
- 17:48Speaker 1: because we're not making money. Like we don't make money
- 17:49Speaker 1: off our personal social media or the shit we say
- 17:51Speaker 1: like on social media.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I think we just do it from the goodness of
- 17:54Speaker 1: our hearts. But a lot of these men don't give
- 17:56Speaker 1: a fuck about it. And they just want money in
- 17:58Speaker 1: their pockets. They'll say whatever gets the most money.
- 18:01Speaker 2: True. It's kind of like the men that are bad
- 18:06Speaker 2: are the ones that they, you know, they want to be. Famous.
- 18:11Speaker 2: You know what I mean? I don't know if that's
- 18:12Speaker 2: the right... If I'm.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Saying that wrong. It's almost like... You know how the
- 18:16Speaker 1: news plays on bad shit happening, gets clicks? The same
- 18:20Speaker 1: as these men.
- 18:21Speaker 2: No, actually, that's exactly right. Yeah.
- 18:23Speaker 1: If you say something crazy like, fucking women shouldn't have jobs. Oh,
- 18:26Speaker 1: there's a fucking million clicks. And then, although you're copying
- 18:29Speaker 1: a lot of hate, there's a small percentage of men
- 18:31Speaker 1: who agree with you and then will buy your course.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's who you're honing in on. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 2: it's all very... Scripted is a word?
- 18:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:39Speaker 2: I don't know if scripted is the right word.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I can't be happy doing that shit. Like, you can't
- 18:43Speaker 1: be happy doing that. I don't think so.
- 18:45Speaker 2: All right.
- 18:46Speaker 1: What's one thing you admire most about the women in
- 18:48Speaker 1: your life? They raise the standards of how I deserve
- 18:51Speaker 1: to be treated and what I can aim for.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Dang.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Which is sent in by a woman, which I think
- 18:56Speaker 1: is great. Like, the other women around her are like, no,
- 18:58Speaker 1: wait a minute. I do deserve better.
- 18:59Speaker 2: No, fucking nice.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I can aim like, this trash dude is fucking not
- 19:03Speaker 1: taking me out on dates.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Fuck him.
- 19:04Speaker 1: What was that dilemma we got last week? And she
- 19:06Speaker 1: just dumped him because he.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Was a piece of shit. That was actually hectic. We
- 19:11Speaker 2: had a baddie that had broke up with her boyfriend
- 19:12Speaker 2: because he lied about something that was a boundary that
- 19:15Speaker 2: they made. And she held her boundary. He broke the
- 19:18Speaker 2: boundary and she held it. She was like, well, we're
- 19:20Speaker 2: breaking up. I think that's hectic. I was like, fuck.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Don't cop shit at all.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, what a weapon. I feel like that'd be so empowering.
- 19:27Speaker 1: One thing happens or two things happens and you're like,
- 19:28Speaker 1: wait a second, fuck off.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Okay, the ability to be the funniest humans ever even
- 19:34Speaker 1: when shit hits the fan.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Oi, favorite saying? Behind a funny man's a funnier woman.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I heard that once and I think that's the most
- 19:42Speaker 2: true thing.
- 19:42Speaker 1: And I'm the funniest man ever.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Cassie, she's missing out on a career here, bro. She's
- 19:52Speaker 2: clearly missing out. It's funny.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I love Cassie. I wouldn't say funniest is one of
- 19:58Speaker 1: her strong points, though.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, look, I don't know. I mean.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I would say I'm the one making us laugh.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Maybe you're not as funny as you think. You like
- 20:09Speaker 2: to say Beth's really funny though. I think Beth's funny.
- 20:11Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:14Speaker 1: My mom is the same person around everyone. She never
- 20:16Speaker 1: lets anyone change who she is.
- 20:19Speaker 2: That's a really... You should say that to her. That's
- 20:21Speaker 2: a really nice thing to say. 100%.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Especially growing up because I feel like.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Yeah, my mom's actually like that and.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I didn't appreciate it. Oh, your mom's like so unapologetically herself.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, as a kid, I didn't appreciate that because I
- 20:31Speaker 1: wanted her to be like other moms. But she was
- 20:33Speaker 1: just herself and doing whatever the fuck she wanted. And
- 20:35Speaker 1: now I'm older and I can really appreciate that. Maybe
- 20:37Speaker 1: I should say that to my mom.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you should actually. Yeah, okay. Because you know what
- 20:40Speaker 2: the weirdest thing is? Something is going up and just
- 20:46Speaker 2: being like... It should be so easy to randomly just
- 20:49Speaker 2: go up and be like, I really admire the fact
- 20:50Speaker 2: that you are... unapologetically yourself it almost sounds like a
- 20:54Speaker 2: backhanded compliment i really admire the fact that you're always
- 20:56Speaker 2: yourself and and it's something that in life i aspire
- 21:00Speaker 2: to be like yeah it just would be just like
- 21:02Speaker 2: your mom knows you love her yeah but why is
- 21:04Speaker 2: it so like you go up and she would love
- 21:07Speaker 2: it and she'd be like oh thank you oh you
- 21:09Speaker 2: like you know thank you but you would still feel
- 21:11Speaker 2: so like it would there would be a bit of
- 21:12Speaker 2: a stress and anxiety to build up to saying it
- 21:14Speaker 2: because it's like is there a fear that she's going
- 21:16Speaker 2: to be like shut the fuck up like why do
- 21:18Speaker 2: we fear to say I don't know.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 21:21Speaker 2: 100%.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Funny thing happened. It's my dad's birthday. And I was
- 21:23Speaker 1: going to tell you on Patreon, but I'll just tell
- 21:24Speaker 1: you now. I've started taking Bahasa Indonesian lessons.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I want to learn a little bit. Oh, yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I was talking to dad who knows how to speak
- 21:31Speaker 1: the language pretty good. And I said to him, it's
- 21:34Speaker 1: Asaya Chintakamu is I love you. And I was just
- 21:37Speaker 1: saying it in a way that's what I've learned. And
- 21:39Speaker 1: I said it to him, Asaya Chintakamu. And I was like,
- 21:42Speaker 1: why the fuck did I say this to him in
- 21:43Speaker 1: like English? Like it just came out. I wasn't even like,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 21:46Speaker 2: You just were saying it. Yeah.
- 21:48Speaker 1: And then I said it to him today. And then
- 21:49Speaker 1: I was like, oh, fuck it's his birthday. Why don't
- 21:51Speaker 1: I tell him I love him or whatever?
- 21:53Speaker 2: It's weird though. Dude, I think it's so weird that
- 21:55Speaker 2: I never told my dad.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And we're the same in a sense of like on cards.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I never used to write like, I love you.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Love, Odie. I'm just from. I would. I've tried to change.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I think I would do from, but I think I'll
- 22:04Speaker 2: hit him with a love, Jake. No, that's wrong. Sorry. Sorry,
- 22:08Speaker 2: I don't do that.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I do it to mum, not dad.
- 22:09Speaker 2: If I write my dad a card, I write from Jake, Beth,
- 22:12Speaker 2: and then like Henry and Darcy, you know. Yeah. I
- 22:14Speaker 2: say from. Yeah, same.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Whereas we should say love. Well, you don't know how
- 22:18Speaker 1: long they're on this planet for.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I know, yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 1: How many times, how many more times?
- 22:22Speaker 2: To be fair, he doesn't just randomly say he loves me.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Like how many more times can you say a side
- 22:26Speaker 1: to come?
- 22:26Speaker 2: Ooh. i'll start saying that my dad and he's just
- 22:29Speaker 2: gonna be like what i've got nothing at least.
- 22:31Speaker 5: You know he's on his deathbed and he's like what's
- 22:35Speaker 5: that thing jake says to me and he's and it's
- 22:37Speaker 5: like i love you an indonesian he butchers it and
- 22:39Speaker 5: it's like you're fat you fat fucking indonesian or something
- 22:43Speaker 5: like that.
- 22:43Speaker 1: That's my jakey boy okay this is the last one
- 22:48Speaker 1: what's one thing you admire most about the women in
- 22:50Speaker 1: your life her stamina Raising two kids under two.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Sorry, wait, I thought you were going to say in
- 22:56Speaker 2: the bedroom. Go on, go on, go on.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Raising two kids under two and a business.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Fuck.
- 23:05Speaker 1: To be fair, that could have been worded a little bit.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yeah, her stamina. And then he goes on to say,
- 23:10Speaker 2: come on.
- 23:12Speaker 1: There's a full stop to her stamina.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Full stop.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Raising two kids.
- 23:17Speaker 2: No, maybe, no, maybe he meant as a comma. Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 2: As in like her stamina. Also the fact that she's
- 23:23Speaker 2: raised two kids and the fact that she's running a business.
- 23:25Speaker 1: If this is from a man, it was definitely her
- 23:27Speaker 1: fucking stamina.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, she also raised.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Two kids and runs a business.
- 23:30Speaker 2: What's something you admire about the women in your life? Oh, good, good,
- 23:35Speaker 2: good question, Jake.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Um, I would say top of my head, probably I
- 23:40Speaker 1: would just say resilience. I feel like women have a
- 23:44Speaker 1: better outlook of what life should be.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Balance. Maybe, yeah. Is that in your experience? Yeah.
- 23:50Speaker 1: And their resilience to do what actually makes them happy.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And I can appreciate that. Whereas a lot of men
- 23:54Speaker 1: like do something to make for a financial decision, which
- 23:59Speaker 1: makes them unhappy or depressed. Like I remember straight out
- 24:01Speaker 1: of school, like all the boys go get a carpentry
- 24:04Speaker 1: apprenticeship or go straight to uni where I saw the
- 24:07Speaker 1: women in my life anyway, sort of taking a second,
- 24:11Speaker 1: sort of, relying on their friendships or not working full
- 24:14Speaker 1: time and talking to each other and going on the
- 24:16Speaker 1: beach and just kind of figuring out.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Who they were. Yeah.
- 24:18Speaker 1: And like not listening to social norms, whereas men are
- 24:20Speaker 1: just like brainwashed by money and every decision is done
- 24:24Speaker 1: by that.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I feel like what men will do pretty much out
- 24:27Speaker 2: of school is, or like a lot of decisions will
- 24:31Speaker 2: kind of, again, not all men, obviously, but I think
- 24:36Speaker 2: most men do things for status. Yeah, status. Yeah. I
- 24:40Speaker 2: think that that's what it comes down to is status.
- 24:42Speaker 2: And again, that conversation we had with Luke Bateman a
- 24:46Speaker 2: couple months ago where we, in society, we all are
- 24:53Speaker 2: like male friendships can, you know, they really only can
- 24:57Speaker 2: at the moment. I don't know. They just get to
- 24:59Speaker 2: a level and it's like we're pretty much taught that
- 25:03Speaker 2: we're against everyone. It's kind of like part of you
- 25:07Speaker 2: when someone does fail at something is like you know,
- 25:11Speaker 2: I'm a bit, I'm better off than them now type
- 25:13Speaker 2: of thing. It's like all a big competition. You go
- 25:15Speaker 2: with the door, right? Yes. I feel like men, a
- 25:17Speaker 2: lot of the time they go on, they go on
- 25:18Speaker 2: for status recently. Obviously I admire a lot of things
- 25:21Speaker 2: about a lot of the women in my life, but recently,
- 25:25Speaker 2: what do you appreciate? Oh yeah. Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 1: You got to ask me, what do you appreciate about
- 25:27Speaker 1: the women in your life?
- 25:28Speaker 2: Um, with Bethany, the, how do I even explain this? Um,
- 25:39Speaker 2: I don't know. It's just like, she just is always
- 25:42Speaker 2: so correct in things. And this, and very recently she like,
- 25:48Speaker 2: she defends, she intelligence. Yeah. I think just like, just
- 25:52Speaker 2: she has probably got the best emotional intelligence that I
- 25:54Speaker 2: have ever come across. And she like, very recently he,
- 26:01Speaker 2: I don't know if this is an admiration thing, but
- 26:03Speaker 2: like I am a year older than her. Right. And
- 26:08Speaker 2: very recently, I had a thought in my head that, like, wow,
- 26:10Speaker 2: I hope, you know, by the time I die, that
- 26:14Speaker 2: my emotional intelligence is at what hers is at right
- 26:17Speaker 2: now when she's only 25.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 26:19Speaker 2: And, like, I had that thought recently. I was like, fuck,
- 26:22Speaker 2: you know, like, I.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I would like to hear how she views you.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Because I feel like you... I obviously don't know Beth
- 26:30Speaker 1: in the same emotional level that you do.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that I am emotionally intelligent... when it
- 26:37Speaker 2: comes to a lot of things but like she just
- 26:42Speaker 2: i don't know it's just like i could say something
- 26:44Speaker 2: and then she go and she goes no well i
- 26:46Speaker 2: think this and i'm like yeah that's just so fucking
- 26:48Speaker 2: correct like what was i thinking you know what i
- 26:50Speaker 2: mean i have those moments what was.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I literally thinking articulate in her emotions yeah yeah i
- 26:54Speaker 1: would say that's a good i feel like i struggle
- 26:56Speaker 1: with that too like i think something and i think
- 26:59Speaker 1: it's so right but then it comes out of my
- 27:01Speaker 1: mouth And I'm like, what the fuck?
- 27:03Speaker 2: That's not what I just said.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm like, that's not what I'm fucking feeling.
- 27:06Speaker 2: And then it's coming.
- 27:07Speaker 1: And then I'm like, then my ego takes over. And
- 27:09Speaker 1: then I try and double down this thing of like,
- 27:11Speaker 1: that's not actually what I meant, but it came out
- 27:12Speaker 1: that way.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Also, that is a good trade. It's a good trade.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I would say another thing I admire about, this is
- 27:20Speaker 2: another one about Bethany is she is also, she'll admit
- 27:26Speaker 2: when she's wrong, but she's also very confident when she
- 27:29Speaker 2: is like, saying something maybe in a hard situation. And I,
- 27:34Speaker 2: and I really admire that. I kind of want that confrontation.
- 27:36Speaker 2: So it's like, yeah, you know, she doesn't love confrontation,
- 27:39Speaker 2: but when she believes in something, she's like, I like,
- 27:43Speaker 2: I don't know. I would love that.
- 27:44Speaker 4: See?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Like when she really believes in something, even you and I,
- 27:47Speaker 2: when we talk about stuff, it's like, Oh yeah. Even
- 27:49Speaker 2: before when I just said like, you know, I, Not
- 27:52Speaker 2: all men, but most men. It's kind of like, just
- 27:55Speaker 2: fucking say something. We beat around the bush. We do
- 27:57Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 27:58Speaker 1: That's interesting.
- 27:59Speaker 2: And we beat around the bush less than lots. True.
- 28:01Speaker 2: You know what I mean? But I reckon we still
- 28:03Speaker 2: beat around the bush a bit.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Cassie's the same. I wonder if we compliment them in
- 28:06Speaker 1: a sense. Like the passion behind.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I don't know. You could say anything right now that
- 28:10Speaker 2: would make me feel better. Make me feel better about
- 28:13Speaker 2: what I don't like about myself. Go.
- 28:14Speaker 1: The passion of our girlfriends or the passion of women
- 28:17Speaker 1: is complimented by a guy who beats around the bush.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:20Speaker 2: My other favorite thing is like if you see a
- 28:22Speaker 2: brunette woman looking at me yelling, just know I'm right
- 28:24Speaker 2: where I want to be. Daddy comes bearing gifts. Oh,
- 28:36Speaker 2: bearing gifts. Actually, sorry. Daddy comes bearing gifts.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I thought daddy forgot about me.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Nah, I was like, I'm not going to... Rolex, Rolex, Rolex, Rolex.
- 28:48Speaker 2: All right. Basically, all about is probably listening and thinking,
- 28:51Speaker 2: why has he got a gift? So, Odi's birthday was
- 28:53Speaker 2: on the 22nd of August. He was still in Europe.
- 28:57Speaker 2: And this is the first time we've been together since then.
- 29:00Speaker 2: And it's the, what is it? The 7th of September. So,
- 29:04Speaker 2: we've recorded via virtually. I don't know if you guys
- 29:06Speaker 2: have noticed. We try and do a good job of that.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Tricks of the trade.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Anyway, I.
- 29:11Speaker 2: I got you this and so I don't know how
- 29:16Speaker 2: much I want to preface, right? But there was a
- 29:19Speaker 2: couple of things that went through my mind when I
- 29:21Speaker 2: got it, right? Number one, I wasn't looking for this
- 29:25Speaker 2: particular item when I was originally looking for your birthday present. Okay.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Number two, when I first saw this for some reason,
- 29:35Speaker 2: I wasn't looking, it was just on display somewhere and
- 29:39Speaker 2: I just thought, what the... And I was like, for
- 29:41Speaker 2: some reason, I just thought, Odi would wear these. Okay.
- 29:45Speaker 2: All right.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Are they sunnies?
- 29:47Speaker 2: Wait a second. And I was like... I just was like,
- 29:51Speaker 2: I need to go with my gut here. Right.
- 29:53Speaker 1: So we love Jake's gut too.
- 29:54Speaker 2: So actually, my gut could be trusted. So here's what,
- 30:00Speaker 2: you know how people get your gifts and they say,
- 30:02Speaker 2: if you don't like it, you know, I've got the receipt.
- 30:03Speaker 2: You can take it back.
- 30:04Speaker 1: You don't have the receipt.
- 30:06Speaker 2: No, no. I have the receipt. What I wanted to
- 30:07Speaker 2: say to you is that because I want you to
- 30:09Speaker 2: know that I know I took a bit of a risk.
- 30:12Speaker 2: So if you actually don't like it because it's me
- 30:15Speaker 2: and I'm not like some random person you have to
- 30:16Speaker 2: be polite to, you can say, I don't like it.
- 30:19Speaker 2: And I can, And I can, uh, what's the, I, oh, actually,
- 30:22Speaker 2: you know what I did? I said, I said to
- 30:24Speaker 2: the person that I bought, I said, I'm taking a
- 30:26Speaker 2: risk here. How's the, what's the return policy? And she goes, well,
- 30:28Speaker 2: you can't return it, but you can get store credit.
- 30:31Speaker 2: So you're stuck to the one store if you don't
- 30:33Speaker 2: actually like it. Okay. I'm so, I'm.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Also more intrigued because Jake and I, oh, it's light.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 1: We share a bank account and I didn't see any transactions.
- 30:41Speaker 1: And there's two reasons for that. One, he didn't put
- 30:43Speaker 1: it on the card. Or two, it was so small
- 30:46Speaker 1: that I didn't see it. No, no, no.
- 30:47Speaker 2: It's on the Amex.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Oh, that's why I didn't see it.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Because we can claim it, right? That's the only one
- 30:51Speaker 2: I don't have on my phone. So what I was
- 30:53Speaker 2: going to do is if you like it, you're going
- 30:54Speaker 2: to keep it because it's on the Amex. I'll transfer
- 30:57Speaker 2: you the whole amount.
- 30:58Speaker 1: So it's like, you know what I mean?
- 31:00Speaker 2: So you're not paying for half of your gift.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay. Okay, I'm opening it, guys, for all
- 31:06Speaker 1: the audio listeners. It's a black box to start.
- 31:10Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 31:10Speaker 1: It's so light. Like, it can't be a pair of sunnies.
- 31:12Speaker 1: It's too light.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Or it could be.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Oakley running sunnies, is it? That'd be pretty cool, actually.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I'm nervous. Maybe it is sunnies.
- 31:22Speaker 1: It is sunnies.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I'm a little nervous.
- 31:23Speaker 3: These are light.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Opening it up.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I just don't know. Oh, okay.
- 31:31Speaker 1: So, the thing with me and sunnies are, one, I
- 31:34Speaker 1: was actually thinking about purchasing some sunnies.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I was going to get some expensive ones, but I
- 31:38Speaker 1: couldn't justify it because I always lose them. So this
- 31:40Speaker 1: is even cooler. And basically- Wait, but I don't- You
- 31:43Speaker 1: have to tell me if I look ugly or not.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I looked at those and tell me that you wouldn't
- 31:47Speaker 2: look at them and think I might wear them.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I would look at these and say I might wear them.
- 31:50Speaker 1: But the thing with my face is either I'm going
- 31:51Speaker 1: to look like a bug or I'm going.
- 31:53Speaker 2: To look like a beast. Oh, okay. I just for
- 31:56Speaker 2: some reason can picture them on you.
- 31:57Speaker 1: We've got like a camera like set up where I
- 31:59Speaker 1: can see.
- 31:59Speaker 2: I'm going to say I'm a fan. Okay, okay. Let
- 32:04Speaker 2: me look. I'm going to say I'm a fan. But
- 32:06Speaker 2: I think that this is something that you would wear
- 32:09Speaker 2: to either... So, you'd wear them in the car, right?
- 32:13Speaker 2: Or a festival. I can see you wearing them to
- 32:15Speaker 2: a festival.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I actually don't mind them.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I quite like them. No, I like them. Thanks, man. Actually? Yeah,
- 32:20Speaker 2: I like them. This saves me.
- 32:21Speaker 1: I was looking at... Funnily enough, after the intro, Alexander McQueen....
- 32:29Speaker 2: Alexander McQueen. Yeah.
- 32:31Speaker 1: It's like they're like under Gucci and shit.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Like designer.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah, designer. But I'll take Oakley. And these are also doubles.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I can run in these and then also drive in
- 32:41Speaker 1: them and then wear them.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Oh, no. I'm happy with these, mate.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I'm glad.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I'm glad. I give this a sort of like 8
- 32:45Speaker 2: out of 10. That's actually good. I'm stoked. Thank you,
- 32:48Speaker 2: my friend.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I'll keep them.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I was originally going to bring... I was going to
- 32:52Speaker 2: challenge myself and build you an outfit. And then give
- 32:56Speaker 2: you one by one each thing as a segment. But
- 32:58Speaker 2: then I saw them and I just was like, I
- 33:00Speaker 2: got to get on my gut here. What's going on? Oh, yeah.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And Oakley's hectic. That'd be good for the beach too.
- 33:03Speaker 2: You know what I'm pissed off about? They're polarized? Oakley,
- 33:06Speaker 2: I assume.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Pissed off you didn't compliment my rapping job. Oh, yeah.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I thought that was like, I thought I wrapped them.
- 33:14Speaker 2: You know what I thought?
- 33:15Speaker 1: I thought it was like, you know how at Meyer,
- 33:17Speaker 1: how they wrap shit for you?
- 33:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I thought it was that.
- 33:19Speaker 2: That's how good of a wrap job I was. Legit,
- 33:20Speaker 2: I'm serious. I'm not even, I spent longer wrapping your
- 33:23Speaker 2: gift than I did wrapping Beth's gift.
- 33:25Speaker 1: That's how much you love me. Mate, and usually you
- 33:30Speaker 1: and I like put it in a plastic bag.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Actually, plastic bag would be effort from you.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I usually get a pillowcase from you, bro.
- 33:37Speaker 1: It was my dad's birthday. It was his birthday today.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I gave him his present on the weekend.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Pillowcase. Where did you get him? Fans.
- 33:43Speaker 1: For a caravan we owe half of.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Those two portable fans up there. Thank you, my friend.
- 33:50Speaker 2: I'm impressed. What a lucky guy.
- 33:51Speaker 1: This ticks a lot of boxes.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I'm happy with them.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Dads are the hardest people.
- 33:56Speaker 2: To buy for. Oh, yeah. Father's Day is yesterday. And
- 34:01Speaker 2: I went to the shops to try and find something
- 34:04Speaker 2: for my dad. And I just, I was like, this sucks.
- 34:07Speaker 2: I was there. And then I just ended up.
- 34:10Speaker 1: It's hard when our parents have everything.
- 34:11Speaker 2: They have money.
- 34:13Speaker 1: And they're old.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I would also be hard to buy for. Just because
- 34:16Speaker 2: I'm the type to just be like, if I want something,
- 34:18Speaker 2: even if I don't have the money, I'll save up
- 34:20Speaker 2: for it and get it before my birthday. Because I
- 34:22Speaker 2: don't want to wait. Oh, great. So we're lucky enough
- 34:26Speaker 2: to do that. But I ended up just like, I
- 34:27Speaker 2: was like, what can I do? I was like, dads,
- 34:30Speaker 2: surely they just want to hang out with their kids.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Not you, mate. So I said, we're done.
- 34:36Speaker 1: He's had 26 years of you.
- 34:37Speaker 2: I said, we're booked in for a round of golf.
- 34:39Speaker 2: You've got five hours with me on fucking October, whatever
- 34:41Speaker 2: date it was. He probably would have preferred the opposite.
- 34:44Speaker 1: He probably would have gone.
- 34:46Speaker 2: I've booked you in for your own round of golf
- 34:48Speaker 2: on your own.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Now that I live with you, you'll probably want to
- 34:52Speaker 1: get away from me. Well, the best thing was my dad...
- 34:55Speaker 1: His birthday is today. Father's Day was yesterday. Double up, baby.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Double up. I got you a fan for Father's Day
- 35:00Speaker 2: and a fan for your birthday. I saw two fans
- 35:02Speaker 2: up there.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I doubled down, too, and I'm going to use them.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Yeah, literally. I thought that. I was like, you just
- 35:09Speaker 2: give him shit you're going to use. I just couldn't
- 35:11Speaker 2: buy him tools. I couldn't buy him anything.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Talking about presents, actually, because my birthday actually happened recently.
- 35:17Speaker 1: My parents only gave me the present they got me
- 35:18Speaker 1: on the weekend.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And I want to know, do you reckon my girlfriend
- 35:22Speaker 1: was playing... chess and i was playing checkers or it
- 35:25Speaker 1: was just a fluke okay what we were talking about
- 35:27Speaker 1: so i got given a 50 movie voucher and then
- 35:31Speaker 1: obviously i'm gonna go to the movies with my girlfriend
- 35:33Speaker 1: and pay for it with my voucher but yeah i
- 35:35Speaker 1: hadn't said i'm gonna do that i was kind of
- 35:36Speaker 1: joking like this is mine you gotta pay for yourself
- 35:39Speaker 1: anyway cassie my partner goes on this massive spiel about
- 35:43Speaker 1: she follows these girls on tiktok who share bank accounts
- 35:47Speaker 1: similar to us but they're not in the same business
- 35:49Speaker 1: They're just friends and they share everything.
- 35:51Speaker 2: I've heard about this.
- 35:52Speaker 1: And this girl went on a tangent about not letting
- 35:55Speaker 1: all these little things that add up get to you. Like,
- 35:58Speaker 1: for example, if you go out for dinner and I buy–
- 36:00Speaker 1: we both buy a schnitzel, but I get a garlic
- 36:02Speaker 1: bread and you don't– you shouldn't care about the $ 8
- 36:03Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 1: What comes around goes around is basically what she was saying.
- 36:07Speaker 1: And she went on this good five, ten-minute spill, Cassie, explaining, like,
- 36:10Speaker 1: don't sweat the small stuff. And then we're about to
- 36:13Speaker 1: go to the movies. I'm like, Cassie, did you just
- 36:15Speaker 1: tell me this whole spill– So I pay for you
- 36:19Speaker 1: at the movies and you don't pay for yourself?
- 36:21Speaker 2: And she's like, no, no, no, no, no. I swear
- 36:24Speaker 2: I thought it was an interesting conversation. I swear.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I was like, very convenient how I've now got a
- 36:29Speaker 1: $ 50 voucher and we're about to go to the movies
- 36:31Speaker 1: and you're saying don't sweat the small stuff. It all
- 36:34Speaker 1: comes around, it goes around. And I was like, so
- 36:37Speaker 1: what do you reckon?
- 36:38Speaker 2: Did you shout her? Yeah. Yeah, she's playing chess. Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Let it go. All right, baddies. If you're new around here,
- 36:52Speaker 2: we have a segment that Odi brought to me about,
- 36:55Speaker 2: I don't know, months ago now called Odi's Shark Tank.
- 36:57Speaker 2: He came to me and he said, Jake, I need
- 37:00Speaker 2: some business ideas. I'm going to tell you if I
- 37:02Speaker 2: like them or not. And when one of them lands,
- 37:04Speaker 2: he said, I'm just going to start that business. We're
- 37:07Speaker 2: just going to create a business.
- 37:08Speaker 1: And this guy hit on week two.
- 37:09Speaker 2: On week two, I hit with. Something that we've been
- 37:13Speaker 2: calling the bed divider. All right. It's in its infancy.
- 37:16Speaker 2: We don't have a name yet, but we just need
- 37:18Speaker 2: something informal.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I like that infancy.
- 37:20Speaker 2: All right. The bed divider is something that as a
- 37:24Speaker 2: man who is in a relationship with- In bed with
- 37:28Speaker 2: a woman. With a woman who sleeps in the same
- 37:30Speaker 2: bed every night. And also quite often I end up
- 37:34Speaker 2: only having about 30% of said bed. The bed divider
- 37:37Speaker 2: would be something that I want very much so. It
- 37:39Speaker 2: solves all those issues.
- 37:40Speaker 4: All right.
- 37:40Speaker 2: And the bed divider is something down the... I'm even
- 37:42Speaker 2: being nice here. I'm a bigger woman than Beth and
- 37:44Speaker 2: Oddie's a bigger... I'm a bigger woman than Beth. I'm
- 37:46Speaker 2: a bigger man than Beth is a woman and you're
- 37:48Speaker 2: a bigger man than Cassie is a woman. And we're
- 37:52Speaker 2: also willing to give them 50% of the bed. We are.
- 37:54Speaker 2: We want something that divides the bed 50-50. Equality. So
- 37:58Speaker 2: when we go to sleep and we turn those fucking
- 37:59Speaker 2: lamps off, I get my side, she gets her side.
- 38:02Speaker 1: You know what's happened the past two nights?
- 38:04Speaker 2: What?
- 38:05Speaker 1: Head butted by my girlfriend.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Head butted? Head butted by my girlfriend. How does that
- 38:08Speaker 2: even happen?
- 38:08Speaker 1: I go to roll over on my pillow, there's a
- 38:09Speaker 1: head there.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Oh, whoa, whoa. She's on your pillow. And I'm like, motherfucker,
- 38:13Speaker 2: this is my pillow.
- 38:18Speaker 1: She says she wants to be close and I say.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Fuck off. Fucking hell. Anywho, this is why we need
- 38:23Speaker 2: the bed fighter. This is why we need the bed fighter.
- 38:25Speaker 2: So we have enlisted the help of the Baddest Baddie
- 38:29Speaker 2: who won the Baddest Baddie last year. Go back and
- 38:32Speaker 2: listen if you haven't listened. And so she has been
- 38:35Speaker 2: helping us and we're about to call her.
- 38:36Speaker 1: This is the epitome of all relatables.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Yes. Hello. Hello, Sarah. Oh, hello. How are you going?
- 38:43Speaker 4: I'm good, thanks.
- 38:44Speaker 2: How are you guys?
- 38:45Speaker 1: Going brilliantly. How is life after being the baddest baddie?
- 38:52Speaker 2: Thriving.
- 38:52Speaker 4: It's been good.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Thriving. That's what we want to hear.
- 38:56Speaker 1: That is amazing. That's what we want to hear.
- 38:59Speaker 4: But honestly, we've never been doubting anything. My boyfriend just
- 39:02Speaker 4: is like, stop doubting. You're the baddest baddie.
- 39:05Speaker 2: That's actually.
- 39:05Speaker 4: And I've been using that as an affirmation the whole time.
- 39:08Speaker 4: So thank you for that, guys.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Damn right.
- 39:11Speaker 2: That's fucking cool. Mission success.
- 39:13Speaker 1: But as being the baddest baddie, we have enlisted you
- 39:16Speaker 1: to help us.
- 39:17Speaker 2: With the bed divider.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Maybe the name, maybe not. But behind the scenes, everyone
- 39:23Speaker 1: knows we went on holiday and we messaged Sarah and
- 39:25Speaker 1: asked her if she could work some of her magic
- 39:29Speaker 1: behind making this product come to life, didn't we? Yeah. So, Sarah, firstly,
- 39:36Speaker 1: what did you think of the idea to start?
- 39:39Speaker 6: I love the idea.
- 39:40Speaker 2: It's great.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Would you and your boyfriend use a bed divider?
- 39:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I think the main thing was that is the
- 39:49Speaker 4: amount of times I end up moving into the middle
- 39:50Speaker 4: of the bed or pulling the whole duvet onto my side.
- 39:55Speaker 4: So I would definitely use it for those two things.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. I have a feeling that we're definitely marketing
- 40:00Speaker 2: towards men here. Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 1: So your boyfriend's obviously like, have you worked on the
- 40:05Speaker 1: thing for the boys yet?
- 40:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like, if you need any ideas, feel free
- 40:11Speaker 4: to ask.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Let's put some real good locks on this thing. Let's
- 40:14Speaker 2: get some real security on it.
- 40:18Speaker 1: So where have you gotten with it so far, Sarah?
- 40:21Speaker 4: Okay, so I have like five kind of key ideas
- 40:26Speaker 4: and I'm going to narrow it. I've got to like
- 40:28Speaker 4: sort through them, but I think I'm going to narrow
- 40:29Speaker 4: it down to three and try those three out.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 40:33Speaker 6: And then see how it goes.
- 40:35Speaker 4: It's a tough one because I don't know about you guys,
- 40:38Speaker 4: but when I sleep, even just when the sheet under
- 40:40Speaker 4: me is like wrinkled or ruffled, it just really bugs me.
- 40:44Speaker 4: I'm kind of like Princess and the Pea with noticing
- 40:46Speaker 4: those small things, which makes it really difficult to come
- 40:49Speaker 4: up with a design that when you're lying down, you're
- 40:53Speaker 4: not going to feel it as a connector for those
- 40:56Speaker 4: two when the sheet or the duvet is not connected to.
- 40:59Speaker 6: That bottom fitted sheet.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I agree. I hear you.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 4: Really going through a few different ideas that will be
- 41:05Speaker 4: as minimal to notice as possible. I think I've got
- 41:08Speaker 4: three that are going to be the best options.
- 41:10Speaker 2: That's great. Three is actually great. We have options.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Well, we were thinking like, just like one would be.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Yeah. I was going to cop a zipper.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Like a sleeping bag.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:23Speaker 4: So I've got, I'm going to try out, I think
- 41:25Speaker 4: three different ones and see which.
- 41:26Speaker 6: Ones actually work best.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Um, I don't want to give too much away.
- 41:32Speaker 2: All right. So, Okay. That's good.
- 41:34Speaker 1: And do you want our opinions on any sort of
- 41:37Speaker 1: idea or any route you've gone to see like you're
- 41:39Speaker 1: going in the right direction or are you pretty confident?
- 41:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Well, actually I've got an idea with one, which links
- 41:46Speaker 4: a little bit with your original bedvider idea. So I'd
- 41:50Speaker 4: be interested to hear your thoughts on this. Um, I
- 41:54Speaker 4: don't know if it will make too much sense, but
- 41:55Speaker 4: I'll try to describe.
- 41:56Speaker 2: It as much as possible.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Um, So the idea is that under the fitted sheet,
- 42:01Speaker 4: there is a long magnetic strip.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Yep.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Which is, you can get like kind of fabric style
- 42:07Speaker 4: ones that are quite flat, so you wouldn't hopefully feel it.
- 42:10Speaker 4: And then you would have, I feel like the best
- 42:13Speaker 4: way to describe it is, you know like draft stoppers that.
- 42:15Speaker 6: You put at the bottom of doors?
- 42:17Speaker 2: Yes.
- 42:18Speaker 1: We have one in our studio.
- 42:19Speaker 4: You would have something like that with the other metal,
- 42:21Speaker 4: the other magnetic strip along that. So then that could
- 42:26Speaker 4: go in between. You would keep the sheet, top sheet
- 42:29Speaker 4: and the fitted sheet connected through that thing. But you
- 42:32Speaker 4: would also have something soft in between so you couldn't
- 42:35Speaker 4: almost sit on the top of the top sheet and
- 42:38Speaker 4: reach over. Yeah, I hear. But I was You guys
- 42:42Speaker 4: were also talking about having a pillow type thing with
- 42:46Speaker 4: your last one that would work for sex and stuff.
- 42:48Speaker 4: I haven't thought anything about that. I was thinking that
- 42:51Speaker 4: kind of pillow would link in, maybe.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:56Speaker 1: If you're not thinking about sex, that's something we can do.
- 42:59Speaker 2: We could probably take over that realm for you.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where our expertise comes into hand. Oddie is
- 43:04Speaker 1: a one-pump chump. Yeah, if you listen to Trader.
- 43:06Speaker 4: I have just been listening to that podcast.
- 43:09Speaker 2: That podcast.
- 43:10Speaker 1: So maybe it might be a bit of a waste
- 43:12Speaker 1: of money for me to get at the moment. But
- 43:16Speaker 1: as a man, you can always dream. So if you
- 43:18Speaker 1: leave the sex part up to us. But no, that
- 43:20Speaker 1: idea sounds good.
- 43:20Speaker 2: But that's like a.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Raised section like you were talking about having on the
- 43:24Speaker 4: original one being just a split in between. Yeah.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Okay. So.
- 43:29Speaker 4: So it combines those two ideas. So that's currently, I think,
- 43:32Speaker 4: top of the list, but we've got a few other options.
- 43:34Speaker 1: That's good, too, because we were talking about threading something
- 43:38Speaker 1: through or doing something. No one wants to do that
- 43:40Speaker 1: when they're tired and about to go to sleep. It's
- 43:42Speaker 1: like making a bed on steroids. But this magnet kind
- 43:45Speaker 1: of vibe is almost ingenious.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I think magnets are going to be the way
- 43:49Speaker 2: to go.
- 43:50Speaker 4: One of the other ideas I have is one that
- 43:52Speaker 4: you kind of thread through. But I was like, actually,
- 43:55Speaker 4: when you're exhausted... That's the last thing you want to do.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Or you don't want to like randomly get like a
- 44:01Speaker 4: toe stuck in the bit that you're threading it through
- 44:03Speaker 4: and that just being uncomfortable.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Catch a toe and you're dead. That could be the
- 44:09Speaker 1: end of a good sleep right there.
- 44:11Speaker 2: That could be the end of a good session right there.
- 44:15Speaker 4: And like how would you describe that on an ACC form?
- 44:17Speaker 2: Yeah, good point. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 44:20Speaker 1: All right, so you've got three ideas. As you said,
- 44:22Speaker 1: you don't want to give too much away. Once you
- 44:24Speaker 1: have the three ideas, do you want to bring them
- 44:26Speaker 1: to us in a couple of weeks? You said you
- 44:28Speaker 1: were playing, representing NZ in handball.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Was it? Yeah. Holy smokes.
- 44:36Speaker 4: So on Wednesday, I fly to Wellington, but we're both
- 44:39Speaker 4: in six other countries, including Australia.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 44:44Speaker 4: And, yeah, for the Oceania Champs for handball. So that
- 44:47Speaker 4: I fly out on Wednesday. I get back in a week.
- 44:49Speaker 4: And so then it will be putting these designs that
- 44:51Speaker 4: I all have on paper in the moment into, like,
- 44:54Speaker 4: actual prototypes.
- 44:55Speaker 2: All right.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Juggling being a pro athlete. And then you know it
- 44:58Speaker 1: would be good after a good handball session, coming back
- 45:00Speaker 1: to a bed divider, getting a good sleep.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:03Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly.
- 45:04Speaker 2: May I ask quickly, is it the handball that Audie
- 45:08Speaker 2: and I would know from school or is it the
- 45:09Speaker 2: handball from the Olympics? Yes.
- 45:11Speaker 6: It's the Olympic Campbell.
- 45:13Speaker 2: It's not forthwith. All right, cool. That's all good. Um, okay.
- 45:18Speaker 1: So you're coming back with a few ideas in a
- 45:20Speaker 1: couple of weeks. Um, and then after that, maybe we
- 45:23Speaker 1: can talk prototypes, eh? Yeah.
- 45:26Speaker 6: Sounds good.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Would you like me to send you through the kind
- 45:29Speaker 4: of drawings that I've got at the moment for the
- 45:31Speaker 4: three ideas? Or do you want me to just contact
- 45:34Speaker 4: you once I've tried them out and gone, this one works.
- 45:36Speaker 2: What do you.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Mean by try out?
- 45:38Speaker 4: Well, I was, I was literally going to like, um,
- 45:44Speaker 4: try and make one. And then, so I've got the
- 45:48Speaker 4: three drawings of different ideas that would work with like
- 45:50Speaker 4: how it would, how it makes them. And then I
- 45:52Speaker 4: was literally just going to try and see if it
- 45:55Speaker 4: works and then send through that information. But I was like,
- 45:58Speaker 4: I can send you through the drawings and designs I've
- 46:00Speaker 4: got at the moment.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I reckon send through the drawings and maybe Jake and
- 46:03Speaker 1: I can go through them on an episode where we
- 46:05Speaker 1: don't call you and get our thoughts and feelings whilst
- 46:06Speaker 1: you're playing professional handball.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Um, And then post, for everyone listening, we are commissioning Sarah.
- 46:14Speaker 1: But also, if you're going to make a prototype, we'll
- 46:16Speaker 1: pay for it.
- 46:17Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, of course, yeah. Just tell us how much
- 46:18Speaker 2: and we'll send you the money before you go buying anything.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Paying for it might pay great.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Is there prize money for this?
- 46:27Speaker 4: It's all self-funded.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Okay, it's a passion one. This is about passion.
- 46:33Speaker 1: The answer to all your problems could be the bed divider.
- 46:36Speaker 4: The bed divider, yes.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Um all right sarah yeah send those through and then
- 46:40Speaker 1: we'll chat about them on the next episode and um
- 46:43Speaker 1: thank you for this and all the best with handball
- 46:45Speaker 1: as well.
- 46:45Speaker 4: And and maybe some of the other baddies will have
- 46:48Speaker 4: some great ideas as well.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Yes shout out to steph price my dyslexia took over
- 46:52Speaker 1: at one point and she said if sarah doesn't want
- 46:54Speaker 1: to do it she can take over and i took
- 46:56Speaker 1: that as in sarah messaged steph price and said i
- 46:58Speaker 1: don't want to do it anymore And then I had
- 47:04Speaker 1: a back and forth with Steph, and I went back
- 47:06Speaker 1: and read it, and I was like, oh, fuck.
- 47:10Speaker 4: So maybe if Price and I need to come together
- 47:12Speaker 4: and actually work out some.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Maybe that's the ultimate idea. I was about to say,
- 47:16Speaker 2: let's turn you guys against each other. We're about to
- 47:19Speaker 2: pick your people up. That's a good idea, actually.
- 47:21Speaker 1: All right, Sarah, we'll contact you probably in two or
- 47:25Speaker 1: three weeks, I'd say.
- 47:27Speaker 6: Fantastic. Sounds good.
- 47:28Speaker 2: All right, bye.
- 47:29Speaker 6: Look forward to it.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Bye, guys. Bye. I'm excited.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'm very excited.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I'm very excited.
- 47:34Speaker 1: That sounds good.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Next week, we'll go through the drawings she's got. Three?
- 47:38Speaker 2: Three drawings is crazy, bro. Three drawings? Yeah.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that's insane.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. We've got the right person on this. 100%. Well,
- 47:44Speaker 2: we haven't seen the drawings yet.
- 47:45Speaker 1: I've got to trust my gut. Let's trust your gut still.
- 47:49Speaker 2: My gut says yes. Baddies, time to read some comments.
- 47:59Speaker 2: I feel like we haven't done this for ages.
- 48:01Speaker 1: If you want to get some comments read, you know
- 48:02Speaker 1: what to do by now.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to comment on the videos. We haven't
- 48:05Speaker 2: done this in ages. I feel like we haven't done
- 48:06Speaker 2: this for so long because we're away. Anyway, so I've
- 48:08Speaker 2: got from episode 39, why traveling changed how we see
- 48:13Speaker 2: Australia from at, it's on YouTube, by the way, at Cahill23.
- 48:19Speaker 2: I was thinking about sending in a dilemma about my
- 48:21Speaker 2: struggles with closure and moving on from my ex. His
- 48:23Speaker 2: name is Chad. Consider myself moved on.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Funnily enough, I've got Spotify's same episode, Zoe. Very contradictory
- 48:32Speaker 1: of that.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Oh, shit.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Welcome back, boys. Thank you. So I work in a
- 48:35Speaker 1: cafe and we have a regular whose name is Chad.
- 48:37Speaker 1: He's literally the biggest sweetheart ever. His family is so
- 48:41Speaker 1: nice and he always picks up coffee for his wife.
- 48:43Speaker 1: He's very generous and tips me very well every time.
- 48:46Speaker 1: He's the only... He's the only Chad I know who
- 48:50Speaker 1: is a good egg with a poorly stereotyped name. But
- 48:53Speaker 1: I agree who names their kid Chad.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Oh, as in like a question mark who names their
- 48:57Speaker 2: kid Chad? Yeah. Hey, I'm glad you know a nice Chad.
- 48:59Speaker 2: I actually got sent from a friend straight away as
- 49:01Speaker 2: soon as I posted a clip about us being like, nah, don't.
- 49:05Speaker 2: If you ever met a kid Chad, whatever. And so
- 49:07Speaker 2: there's a, I think he's used to playing the NRL.
- 49:10Speaker 2: His name's Chad Townsend. Really, really nice guy. And he
- 49:16Speaker 2: like does a lot of work in the community. and
- 49:18Speaker 2: a lot of like, and I was like, fuck, he's
- 49:21Speaker 2: got a wife, he's got kids. I was like, fuck
- 49:23Speaker 2: this guy. I was like, but what was he like
- 49:26Speaker 2: when he was 20?
- 49:26Speaker 1: No, this is what we do. I can admit that
- 49:28Speaker 1: we could be wrong and there are some nice Chads
- 49:30Speaker 1: out there, but also we need fucking opinions, mate.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:33Speaker 2: The name Chad. No, I'm standing 10 toes down. I
- 49:36Speaker 2: don't care if Chad's got a bad rap. Blame that
- 49:38Speaker 2: on your parents for naming you Chad.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Legit. I think it's an American stereotype, so blame them.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I feel like, yeah, Chad just seems like it's short
- 49:46Speaker 2: for something, but also not. Do better. Yeah. All right.
- 49:51Speaker 1: It's time for one of you baddies to sign off
- 49:52Speaker 1: an episode. If you want to get called by Jake
- 49:54Speaker 1: and myself, the link will be in the description. Jake, today,
- 49:57Speaker 1: who are we going to call?
- 49:59Speaker 2: Ellie.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I want to preface two baddies. You know how I say,
- 50:03Speaker 1: who are you going to call?
- 50:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Someone said like, did the boys know that it's from
- 50:07Speaker 1: like Ghostbusters? And I'm waiting for Jake to say Ghostbusters.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, that's the whole premise.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Of the thing.
- 50:10Speaker 1: And people didn't know that.
- 50:12Speaker 2: One day, Odi literally has an episode. Maybe that person
- 50:14Speaker 2: didn't hear the episode where you started it. And you
- 50:16Speaker 2: were like, oh, we should do that thing in Ghostbusters
- 50:18Speaker 2: where it's like, who are you going to call?
- 50:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:20Speaker 2: And then you just say the name. And I'm supposed
- 50:22Speaker 2: to say it like, you know how Ghostbusters is a
- 50:24Speaker 2: couple syllables?
- 50:25Speaker 1: Ghostbusters.
- 50:26Speaker 2: I was supposed to be like, Ellie. But I kind
- 50:29Speaker 2: of never do it. So Odi looks like an idiot. Hello. Hello,
- 50:34Speaker 2: is this Ellie?
- 50:36Speaker 4: Yes.
- 50:36Speaker 2: Ellie, it's Jake and Nottie from The Relatables. How are you?
- 50:39Speaker 4: Oh, good.
- 50:40Speaker 6: How are you?
- 50:41Speaker 2: Good. I'm happy you answered on the second call. Yeah.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 50:45Speaker 6: Sorry. I was like, what is this number?
- 50:48Speaker 2: Were you like, who is this telemarketer? Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 6: I keep getting them.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Ellie, do you know why we are calling you?
- 50:56Speaker 6: Are you after a joke or a riddle?
- 50:58Speaker 2: That would be amazing.
- 51:01Speaker 1: We haven't had a riddle in a while or a joke.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Are you funny, Ellie? Yeah.
- 51:06Speaker 6: No, I remember this. I got it from a Christmas
- 51:08Speaker 6: cracker like years ago. So I guess it's a joke,
- 51:11Speaker 6: but it's kind of a riddle. It's my favorite joke ever.
- 51:14Speaker 2: I really left an impression, I guess. That's a good Christmas.
- 51:18Speaker 6: Okay, are you ready?
- 51:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm ready.
- 51:22Speaker 6: Who designed King Arthur's round tables?
- 51:28Speaker 2: Oh, whoa.
- 51:29Speaker 1: King Arthur's round table.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Who designed King Arthur's round table? It's a riddle.
- 51:34Speaker 1: King Arthur, the sword and the stone. What are we
- 51:36Speaker 1: talking about here?
- 51:37Speaker 2: Who designed his round table?
- 51:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I think Camelot, lots of knights.
- 51:42Speaker 2: His squire.
- 51:45Speaker 1: If it's a joke, it's going to be funny.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Who designed his round table? I don't know.
- 51:52Speaker 4: Jester?
- 51:53Speaker 2: No. What is it?
- 51:58Speaker 6: The answer is circumference. Oh, my God.
- 52:07Speaker 2: I never would have got that. What was that IG?
- 52:11Speaker 1: Women are the funniest humans on the planet.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Hey, I tell you what, that's, that's, that's a good one.
- 52:21Speaker 2: I actually think that was pretty good. Yeah.
- 52:23Speaker 1: I'll get delivery was 10 out of 10.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:26Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Oh, thank you very much, Ellie.
- 52:31Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 52:31Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 52:32Speaker 6: Bye.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Bye.
- 52:33Speaker 6: Dang that.
- 52:37Speaker 2: That made me feel stupid. Yeah, it did.
- 52:38Speaker 1: It's so comforting.
- 52:39Speaker 2: All right, buddies, we love you. Stay bad.
