- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to Mark Simone on wor Well.
- 0:05Speaker 2: There's right now the great columnists Lizpeak. You can read
- 0:08Speaker 2: her at Foxnews dot com. Also, you should go to
- 0:10Speaker 2: our website. There's great news and analysis and stories there
- 0:14Speaker 2: every day. Go to lizpeak dot com, lizpeak dot com, Lizpeak.
- 0:18Speaker 2: How you doing.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm terrific, always the better for talking to you.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Hey, So no want is explain what's going on in
- 0:25Speaker 2: the world. Here you had these Democrats, these old fossils
- 0:28Speaker 2: like Schumer and Elizabeth Warren, and now you got the
- 0:31Speaker 2: AOC mom, Donnie, and there's a whole bunch of them
- 0:34Speaker 2: springing up all over the place, this whole new generation
- 0:37Speaker 2: of crazy left lunatic democrat. Is this the result of
- 0:41Speaker 2: colleges in doctrinating generations of kids to become like this?
- 0:46Speaker 1: I think that's part of it, Mark, And I also
- 0:49Speaker 1: think that Democrats, moderate Democrats have not offered a reasonable alternative.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And I also think this, and I know a lot
- 0:58Speaker 1: of your Democrat listeners probably disagree. But Donald Trump has
- 1:03Speaker 1: managed to occupy the middle on many many issues, and
- 1:06Speaker 1: so you know he is probably partly responsible, frankly for
- 1:11Speaker 1: pushing Democrats to the left. I mean when you talk
- 1:15Speaker 1: about crime, for example, and you know, is Donald Trump
- 1:18Speaker 1: extreme on crime? I don't think so. He wants safe streets,
- 1:22Speaker 1: state neighborhoods. That's what most of your listeners and what
- 1:25Speaker 1: most voters want. Immigration again, does he want a closed border? Yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 1: that's what most of your listeners want. So when you
- 1:35Speaker 1: talk about things taxes and immigration and crime, and frankly
- 1:42Speaker 1: also federal spending, Trump's in the middle on this. He's
- 1:45Speaker 1: with most of the American people, and so Democrats have
- 1:49Speaker 1: nowhere to go. And I think where you know, in
- 1:51Speaker 1: the last election, people talked a lot about working class
- 1:55Speaker 1: voters and how Democrats had lost working class voters. Who
- 1:58Speaker 1: are working class voters. That's it's most of America, right,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I mean, this isn't a fringe group. This is like
- 2:04Speaker 1: most voters. So when you lose that group, you know,
- 2:09Speaker 1: I think basically your politicians are scrambling for niche issues
- 2:13Speaker 1: like transgender surgeries, or who can be in a locker room,
- 2:19Speaker 1: or you know, whether illegal immigrants should be able to vote.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot of crazy stuff going on
- 2:25Speaker 1: because that's where they are. They really don't know what
- 2:27Speaker 1: else to do.
- 2:29Speaker 2: You know, you're right, these old fossil. These Schumers and
- 2:32Speaker 2: even Kathy Hochel or Andrew Cuomo, they're kind of just
- 2:35Speaker 2: empty suits. You're right, they have nothing specific to offer
- 2:38Speaker 2: any voter.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Well, and I think they are scared to death of
- 2:43Speaker 1: the far left now because what we've seen, and it's started.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I don't have started in sort of my consciousness anyway,
- 2:50Speaker 1: with AOC unseating a long time moderate Democrat, establishment Democrat
- 2:56Speaker 1: and Alexandri Cacio Cortez, if you're a member, I married him,
- 3:01Speaker 1: and the guy was so complacent, so sure of himself
- 3:05Speaker 1: that he didn't even debate her. Remember her debating the
- 3:08Speaker 1: empty chair. So that was kind of a shot across
- 3:11Speaker 1: about to people who have been in office for a
- 3:14Speaker 1: long time. And Chuck Schumer right now is the face
- 3:17Speaker 1: of this because he is I mean, I was, I
- 3:19Speaker 1: think one of the first to come out and say
- 3:21Speaker 1: there's going to be a shutdown because he is Chuck
- 3:23Speaker 1: Schumer scared a death of AOC and he is not
- 3:26Speaker 1: going to want to bend to any reasonable even reasonable
- 3:30Speaker 1: requests from the Democrats, I mean, excuse me, from the Republicans.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And that's what's happened. I mean, polling has shown that
- 3:37Speaker 1: AOC could probably beat Chuck Schumer in a primary, just
- 3:41Speaker 1: like Mom Donnie is beating Andrew Cuomo. Andrew Clomo was
- 3:45Speaker 1: a horrible governor, and so it's not surprising to me
- 3:49Speaker 1: that people aren't turning out to vote for him. But
- 3:51Speaker 1: the reality is, Mom Donnie is like a cartoon challenger, right.
- 3:57Speaker 1: He has no experience, nothing but words, words, words. It's
- 4:01Speaker 1: like the old My Fair Ladies, bobbot Henry Higgins. You know,
- 4:06Speaker 1: nothing he's done will suggest that he can run anything,
- 4:09Speaker 1: much less a city of the complexity of New York.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I really think it's an astonishing thing that's happening right
- 4:16Speaker 1: before our eyes, Mark, and I don't know what can
- 4:19Speaker 1: change it at this point.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Wow. But these younger voters, highly educated, Well, how could
- 4:24Speaker 2: they be so stupid? It's to fall for free buses
- 4:26Speaker 2: and the free rent and the government grocery store. Do
- 4:29Speaker 2: they really believe all this stuff could happen?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Well, it's a good question. There was an article that
- 4:34Speaker 1: I read with some amusement in the New York Times
- 4:37Speaker 1: from an opinion writer saying, well, it's not really the vibe.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And no, I don't really believe in his programs because
- 4:43Speaker 1: probably he can't get much of that done. But I
- 4:46Speaker 1: just want someone who's really ready to shake things up
- 4:48Speaker 1: and outside or saying, you know, it's a little bit
- 4:51Speaker 1: like Donald Trump. No it's not. Donald Trump actually had accomplishment.
- 4:55Speaker 1: He wasn't just a political faker. You know. He had
- 5:00Speaker 1: built buildings, he had run companies, and he had a
- 5:03Speaker 1: very long history of solid opinions on things like taxes
- 5:08Speaker 1: and deregulation and issues that could be helpful to the
- 5:12Speaker 1: country and certainly could be helpful to New York. This
- 5:15Speaker 1: guy has no such accomplishments. All he does he's very
- 5:19Speaker 1: anti Semitic, he's very anti Israel, which really should put
- 5:22Speaker 1: him at odds with a lot of New York voters,
- 5:25Speaker 1: but hasn't seemed to move the dial. It looks like
- 5:28Speaker 1: he's been taking money from overseas donors when that's illegal.
- 5:33Speaker 1: And so the answer to question is young people are
- 5:36Speaker 1: along for the ride. They don't really understand. I don't
- 5:39Speaker 1: believe the gravity of it. They don't own homes in
- 5:42Speaker 1: New York, they're not owning businesses. They don't know how
- 5:45Speaker 1: fragile any city is. And I've lived through the downs
- 5:50Speaker 1: in New York City. It's not fun and they're about
- 5:52Speaker 1: to experience that. I think so. And by the way, yes,
- 5:57Speaker 1: the schools are reprehensible. I mean, we have not taught
- 6:01Speaker 1: kids anything useful in probably thirty years, and that is
- 6:05Speaker 1: probably an understatement.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Well, well, great analysis. Hey, speaking of Israel, Joe Biden
- 6:11Speaker 2: pointing out that he's the one that laid the groundwork
- 6:14Speaker 2: for this piece deal.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's sad, isn't it to see these
- 6:19Speaker 1: people coming out and saying, oh, yeah, Joe Biden released
- 6:22Speaker 1: more hostages. Okay, it was easy to release the early
- 6:25Speaker 1: hostages because that was not a big bargaining ship for
- 6:28Speaker 1: hamas it was the last hostages that was you had
- 6:34Speaker 1: to fight for tooth and nail. But look, Joe Biden's
- 6:38Speaker 1: Middle East policy began I think the second day in
- 6:41Speaker 1: office where he went out of his way to insult
- 6:43Speaker 1: Mohammed ben Salomon, the ruler de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia,
- 6:49Speaker 1: that the son of the king. And let me tell
- 6:51Speaker 1: you something, from that moment on, basically he lost the
- 6:55Speaker 1: goodwill not only of Saudi Arabia. Remember him going hat
- 6:58Speaker 1: in hand begging for more oil because he knew gas
- 7:01Speaker 1: prices in America were going up. And he would be
- 7:04Speaker 1: blamed politically for that, and the Saudis robuffed him because
- 7:08Speaker 1: they can't stand him, but also the whole Arab world
- 7:11Speaker 1: couldn't stand him, and in particular because he constantly he
- 7:15Speaker 1: went back to the Obama era handing, putting their hand
- 7:19Speaker 1: out to help Iran, to bring Iran into the Family
- 7:23Speaker 1: of Nations, a country that has never renounced is hatred
- 7:26Speaker 1: for israel Is determination to obliterate not only Israel, but
- 7:30Speaker 1: to attack the United States. That is not our friend
- 7:33Speaker 1: in the Middle East, the Arab golf countries. Donald Trump
- 7:36Speaker 1: has played this exactly right. They have a vested interest
- 7:39Speaker 1: in stability in working with the United States. But honestly,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I wrote about it back literally his first month in office, saying,
- 7:48Speaker 1: guess why gas prices are so Ohio folks, Not what
- 7:51Speaker 1: you think is because of Muhammed bin Salman, who constantly
- 7:55Speaker 1: restricted supply. What's he doing now He's pushing Opek to
- 7:58Speaker 1: increase supply. Oil prices are low. Americans are happy with that.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And also the Arabs are going to be our helper,
- 8:05Speaker 1: I hope in achieving piece.
- 8:07Speaker 2: In Theddle East Well, Liz Peak brilliant as always. Now
- 8:11Speaker 2: your columns Foxnews dot com worlds, can we get them?
- 8:15Speaker 1: Well, thank you for mentioning my website, lizpeak dot com. Okay,
- 8:18Speaker 1: p e e K. Everything's there, including things my daily rant,
- 8:24Speaker 1: so to speak, which sadly is not daily because I
- 8:26Speaker 1: just don't have that much time. But I do put
- 8:29Speaker 1: out pieces there that I simply had some fun with,
- 8:32Speaker 1: and like today was about the Nobel Literature Prize, which
- 8:36Speaker 1: was beyond idiotic. They gave the Nobel Prize. My point was,
- 8:42Speaker 1: don't feel too bad about the Peace Prize. Look what
- 8:44Speaker 1: they did with the literature. They gave the prize to
- 8:47Speaker 1: a guy who wrote a four hundred page book that
- 8:48Speaker 1: only has one period. It's an entire book with one sentence.
- 8:53Speaker 1: It's so stupid. I can't get my head around it.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, if you want to read some great to
- 8:56Speaker 2: read that and other great stories and columns liz Peak.
