- 0:00Speaker 1: Jayla, good morning. You're on the air.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Hey.
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hey.
- 0:02Speaker 2: So one of my friends told us that she had
- 0:06Speaker 2: a cancer scare and needed surgery. And so obviously.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Everyone kind of rallied around her, money, meals, whatever she
- 0:14Speaker 3: needed to care of her, like all of it. And
- 0:17Speaker 3: then months later, I ran into her sister and mentioned,
- 0:21Speaker 3: you know, we're so relieved, glad your sister's okay.
- 0:24Speaker 2: And her sister looked at me like I had three heads.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Why?
- 0:28Speaker 2: Why? Apparently, my friend never had cancer. She had elective
- 0:33Speaker 2: cosmetic surgery and vetted a whole thing because she didn't
- 0:36Speaker 2: want people judging her for taking time off.
- 0:39Speaker 5: What did she get done?
- 0:41Speaker 6: Nose.
- 0:42Speaker 7: Just her nose?
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I mean, that's all she will tell us.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Don't you think people are going to... I mean, that's
- 0:49Speaker 4: pretty significant, right? Aren't you going to notice that if
- 0:52Speaker 4: you're one of the friends? Nose cancer.
- 0:54Speaker 8: I think so.
- 0:55Speaker 2: But I'm still... Yeah, I'm still stuck on the cancer thing.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Like.
- 0:59Speaker 2: If you want to do something to your face, whatever,
- 1:01Speaker 2: it's your body, like, fine, but, like, just be upfront
- 1:04Speaker 2: about it.
- 1:04Speaker 1: So does that make you now not believe people when
- 1:06Speaker 1: they tell you they're sick?
- 1:07Speaker 9: I think that would make her not believe this particular girl.
- 1:10Speaker 1: With anything ever. Somebody says, oh, I have whatever, and
- 1:13Speaker 1: you're like, man, I sure you do now.
- 1:14Speaker 4: It's really, it's weird. You guys are bringing her, like,
- 1:17Speaker 4: casseroles and stuff, and her nose is wrapped up, and
- 1:19Speaker 4: nobody thought.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:23Speaker 10: Well, I was going to say this is a much smaller,
- 1:25Speaker 10: smaller lie, or if you call it a lie. I
- 1:28Speaker 10: didn't believe Peyton. I texted her the other day. She
- 1:30Speaker 10: didn't text me back. She said she didn't see it.
- 1:32Speaker 4: I didn't.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 10: I actually thought of bringing it up on the air
- 1:36Speaker 10: and getting into the things that people just don't believe.
- 1:40Speaker 10: You know, like, do you think now, Jayla, if someone
- 1:44Speaker 10: tells you that they have cancer or something, will you
- 1:46Speaker 10: believe them right away or be like, I don't.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Know, somebody lied to me once?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I might be a little skeptical now.
- 1:51Speaker 5: That stinks.
- 1:53Speaker 4: She did have a little bit of an out because
- 1:55Speaker 4: she said a cancer scare. That doesn't mean cancer, right?
- 1:59Speaker 4: So she kind of had a little bit of what
- 2:01Speaker 4: they call plausible.
- 2:02Speaker 5: I don't think that's anything you say. Like, that's not OK.
- 2:06Speaker 7: That's bad karma. Like, it's terrible. Into existence.
- 2:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 10: Why don't we turn this into, like, what are some
- 2:12Speaker 10: things you don't believe that people say, like, that you
- 2:14Speaker 10: see in life?
- 2:15Speaker 4: Okay, I got something. Remember when Avatar 2 was breaking
- 2:18Speaker 4: all kinds of box office records?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Beyond me, I don't think I know anybody that saw
- 2:23Speaker 4: that or Avatar 3. And it was like, you know,
- 2:26Speaker 4: it just surpassed a billion dollars, but nobody had seen it.
- 2:29Speaker 4: I think it's a big lie. I think James Cameron
- 2:31Speaker 4: and his people somehow pumped up some kind of foreign
- 2:35Speaker 4: thing where it makes it seem like people are way
- 2:36Speaker 4: into Avatar. I don't know one person. Now, Spider-Man, everybody's like, yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 4: I liked it. You get why that's huge. Avatar 2,
- 2:43Speaker 4: Avatar 3, I don't get it. Boy, that's a really
- 2:45Speaker 4: good one.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I don't think I know one person that's an avatar, too.
- 2:49Speaker 7: I feel like I have one.
- 2:51Speaker 8: When somebody says that they're really craving one of those
- 2:54Speaker 8: sparkling waters, they could really go for a La Croix.
- 2:58Speaker 9: No, you don't.
- 3:00Speaker 7: Nobody really actually enjoys it.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Who craves that?
- 3:03Speaker 5: Who craves that?
- 3:06Speaker 9: On that same kind of tip, I don't believe people
- 3:08Speaker 9: when they say they enjoy working out. no you don't
- 3:11Speaker 9: no you feel like you're gonna die.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I want to address both those afterwards i.
- 3:16Speaker 10: Want to address both those yeah i don't i don't
- 3:20Speaker 10: like working out but i do like the way it
- 3:22Speaker 10: feels after i really.
- 3:24Speaker 9: Like i'm really into working out right now and i.
- 3:26Speaker 10: Don't really crave the i love sparkling water it's my
- 3:30Speaker 10: new thing right now i love it.
- 3:32Speaker 4: I do i do there's you You're not a barometer, though.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You're odd. I'm telling the truth.
- 3:37Speaker 4: You're a strange boy, John Jay.
- 3:38Speaker 5: You're one of one, John Jay.
- 3:39Speaker 8: If you like it, John Jay, it's because you like
- 3:41Speaker 8: the way that it tingles and feels like electricity in
- 3:43Speaker 8: your mouth, not.
- 3:43Speaker 7: Because you like the taste.
- 3:44Speaker 10: Hey, another one is Long the Lines of Rich and Avatar.
- 3:46Speaker 10: I don't necessarily believe the Netflix top ten.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I actually have that same theory.
- 3:51Speaker 4: I'm with you.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Because it's the shows they want to push.
- 3:53Speaker 10: Yeah, like there's a show right now, in fact, Peyton,
- 3:55Speaker 10: that you and I talked about the other day. Whenever
- 3:56Speaker 10: it's a show and it's in another language and it's
- 3:58Speaker 10: in the top 10 here, I'm like, mm.
- 4:00Speaker 8: And there's like two dubbed over shows in the top
- 4:03Speaker 8: 10 right now. And I actually stopped watching Blood Sacrifice
- 4:05Speaker 8: because I started actually paying attention.
- 4:07Speaker 7: And I was like, they're dubbed over.
- 4:09Speaker 4: This show sucks.
- 4:10Speaker 11: That's the worst when you're watching a show and you
- 4:12Speaker 11: all of a sudden notice it's dubbed over really poorly.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Speaking of her friend and her cancer scare, Jayla. I
- 4:18Speaker 4: don't believe it when you're waiting for a table and
- 4:20Speaker 4: they're like, it'll be a few minutes and there's like
- 4:21Speaker 4: a bunch of free tables. Why can't they just put
- 4:23Speaker 4: you at the table? They will in a few minutes.
- 4:26Speaker 1: When they say it's a 45-minute wait, that's when I'm like,
- 4:29Speaker 1: what the hell? This place is empty.
- 4:30Speaker 4: It's not that big of a wait. You can slide
- 4:32Speaker 4: us in right now. Get us some apps.
- 4:34Speaker 1: We're good. How about that? What are the little things
- 4:37Speaker 1: you don't believe people when they tell you? Gluten allergies.
- 4:40Speaker 10: I have a friend of mine who has celiacs. He
- 4:43Speaker 10: has it for real. But he says that so many
- 4:45Speaker 10: times people don't believe him when he says he has it.
- 4:48Speaker 8: I feel like people, if you say you have celiac disease,
- 4:50Speaker 8: you have to come ready with the strips and the
- 4:52Speaker 8: things that you test all your food.
- 4:54Speaker 7: Because if not, I.
- 4:55Speaker 8: Would probably be like, you're probably just sensitive to gluten.
- 4:58Speaker 10: Yeah, because a lot of people say they have celiacs,
- 5:00Speaker 10: they're sensitive to gluten. And they say celiacs. Like, just say.
- 5:05Speaker 7: It will kill you if you have ciliates.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Right, right, right.
- 5:07Speaker 4: So let's call this segment. Yeah, I don't buy it.
- 5:11Speaker 1: That's what we'll call this segment. All right.
- 5:14Speaker 9: 877-937-1047.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Thanks, Jayla. Thanks for calling in.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Thank you. 877-937-1047.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And what just don't you believe when people tell you?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't buy it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Brenda, good morning.
- 5:37Speaker 12: Good morning.
- 5:37Speaker 8: How are you?
- 5:38Speaker 6: Good.
- 5:38Speaker 1: What's up?
- 5:40Speaker 12: So I was listening to a segment. One thing that
- 5:43Speaker 12: I cannot stand when people say is like, oh, my gosh,
- 5:45Speaker 12: I've been so busy. I haven't been able to text you.
- 5:48Speaker 12: And you're like, it's been a week, dude.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yeah, see, I have an out for that, by the way.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You do?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 10: So if somebody texts me. And then I'll respond much later,
- 5:59Speaker 10: days later. I'm not lying. I said, Oh, I'm just
- 6:02Speaker 10: reading this. It doesn't mean that I didn't read it earlier.
- 6:05Speaker 4: So it's a, it's a truth of somewhatness.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like, Oh my God, I'm just reading this. Uh, yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I can meet you there tomorrow at four or whatever.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You know what I mean? But I don't say I
- 6:15Speaker 1: didn't see it. So I read it.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 12: But that's still like, I mean, everybody has their phones
- 6:21Speaker 12: like all the time. And when people are like, Oh
- 6:22Speaker 12: my gosh, I haven't had time to text. So you're like, okay,
- 6:24Speaker 12: well you go to the restroom.
- 6:25Speaker 8: Right.
- 6:26Speaker 12: And, You know people take their phones to the restroom.
- 6:28Speaker 4: That's true. That's what you say to people. You could
- 6:30Speaker 4: have texted me on the toilet.
- 6:32Speaker 10: Well, that's what I said about Peyton the other day
- 6:34Speaker 10: when I texted Peyton and she didn't return my text.
- 6:35Speaker 10: I'm like, one thing I know about Peyton, she's on
- 6:38Speaker 10: her phone 24-7. Like, how does she not see my text?
- 6:42Speaker 10: That's the part that I just, you know, you just
- 6:44Speaker 10: got to let it go.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Brendan, here's what I do. I fall on the sword
- 6:46Speaker 4: right away. Hey, you didn't respond to my text. I
- 6:49Speaker 4: usually go, that's because I'm a terrible person. I'm so sorry.
- 6:52Speaker 4: And then you're kind of, you know.
- 6:53Speaker 7: Why do you shame yourself?
- 6:55Speaker 4: Because I've seen my wife do it and get away
- 6:58Speaker 4: with it. Like when we're late for something and she'll
- 7:01Speaker 4: call ahead and she'll be like, you're going to want
- 7:02Speaker 4: to murder me. We're five minutes late. I'm like, nobody's
- 7:04Speaker 4: going to want to murder you because you're five minutes late.
- 7:07Speaker 4: But she says, if you go a little deeper, if
- 7:09Speaker 4: you go a little deeper, they forgive you. So, you know,
- 7:12Speaker 4: shame yourself.
- 7:12Speaker 2: That's true.
- 7:13Speaker 5: It's kind of genius, really.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Brenda, thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening.
- 7:18Speaker 9: Thanks.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Ruby, what don't you just believe or buy?
- 7:24Speaker 4: Rubes?
- 7:24Speaker 5: Hey, yes, I'm here.
- 7:26Speaker 10: What do you got?
- 7:29Speaker 2: I don't believe it when people say they like healthy food.
- 7:31Speaker 7: I'm with you on that.
- 7:34Speaker 12: All these people like, oh, I love the healthy.
- 7:36Speaker 2: No, you don't.
- 7:39Speaker 4: For years, Ruby, I've been telling the people who say
- 7:41Speaker 4: they love kale. They're just lying. Nobody loves kale.
- 7:44Speaker 12: Nobody loves kale. You'll eat it.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Nobody loves it.
- 7:47Speaker 4: We know it's good for you, but we don't love it.
- 7:49Speaker 7: Is it good for you? I feel like kale is
- 7:50Speaker 7: the controversial thing.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Kale chips are okay if it has sea salt.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Oh, kale chips, you're right. Those are pretty good.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Yeah, but you've got to load them up with salt.
- 8:00Speaker 10: I guess.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Everything is loaded up with something.
- 8:03Speaker 1: They come like that. Out of the sea? No, in
- 8:06Speaker 1: the bag. You open up your kale chips, they have
- 8:08Speaker 1: salt on them. They're good. Thanks, Ruby.
- 8:10Speaker 4: No, chips are good.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But no one's going to get them plain.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Jen, what don't you believe?
- 8:15Speaker 6: Honestly, I don't believe that work weeks can't be only
- 8:22Speaker 6: five days a week. Like, come on. No, four days
- 8:25Speaker 6: a week. I mean, four days. Four days a week.
- 8:27Speaker 6: It can be four days a week. Come on. We
- 8:29Speaker 6: can do 10 hours four days a week. Let's do
- 8:32Speaker 6: it all across the board. If all of Arizona can be,
- 8:35Speaker 6: you know, we don't have to have, you know, daylight savings,
- 8:40Speaker 6: then of course that we can have four-day work week.
- 8:43Speaker 5: Jen, I've been pushing the four-day work week for years.
- 8:46Speaker 4: She's been a pioneer, Kyle.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I will stand on that hill with you.
- 8:50Speaker 4: If you ran for office, Kyle, and that was your
- 8:52Speaker 4: only platform, you would win everything, all the time.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Let's run together, Jen. We can run together.
- 8:56Speaker 4: We will.
- 8:58Speaker 12: We will.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Thank you, Jen. That's a great one.
- 9:02Speaker 12: Love you guys.
- 9:03Speaker 8: You too.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Bye.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Phones are going crazy, you guys. Let
- 9:07Speaker 1: me see.
- 9:08Speaker 8: Hello.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Good morning. John Jane Rich. Who's this?
- 9:12Speaker 6: Hi, this is Val.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Hi, Val. What are you doing? Where are you today?
- 9:15Speaker 1: What part of town?
- 9:18Speaker 13: I'm in Mesa on my way to work in Phoenix.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Are you calling about the what don't you just believe?
- 9:26Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm not sure if someone has said something similar,
- 9:28Speaker 13: but I don't believe when people say, I could have
- 9:33Speaker 13: played so-and-so sport, but I had an injury in high school.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Good for you. You're like, probably we're going to make
- 9:43Speaker 4: it in the majors.
- 9:45Speaker 1: That's so good.
- 9:47Speaker 13: We all know that person.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Val.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Coming in hot. Hot take.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Thanks, Val. Thank you. Hey, Blake, good morning. You're on
- 9:57Speaker 1: the air. What don't you just believe? What don't you buy?
- 9:59Speaker 6: I don't believe when people say they like vodka.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I'm with you.
- 10:07Speaker 7: I feel like the matcha, you got to judge it.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Up with some flavors. My wife is so into matcha
- 10:13Speaker 1: right now. She goes to the farmer's market.
- 10:16Speaker 10: She goes to Uptown Farmer's Market every Saturday just to
- 10:18Speaker 10: get the matcha from one booth because it's so delicious.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Really?
- 10:20Speaker 1: They put cinnamon in oat milk or something. I don't know.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Well, this Blake doesn't believe your belief. I know.
- 10:25Speaker 13: I know.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's a battle of the Blakes.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Watch out.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Thanks, Blake. Kelly, what don't you believe? Kelly.
- 10:36Speaker 8: Oh, sorry.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Hi.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:38Speaker 13: So I don't believe it when people call him sick.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Like, I get it.
- 10:43Speaker 7: We don't want to go to work, but you're not
- 10:45Speaker 7: really sick, bro.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I get that. I don't believe people ever.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. Remember, John Jay, when we used to
- 10:50Speaker 4: have people call in sick and you would have doctors
- 10:52Speaker 4: go to their house on the air? That is so crazy.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I didn't believe them.
- 10:56Speaker 8: Honestly, though, if you really are sick and down bad,
- 10:59Speaker 8: it's actually kind of helpful and useful to have a
- 11:01Speaker 8: doctor house call.
- 11:03Speaker 10: If you come in, Peyton, and you're sick, which you've
- 11:05Speaker 10: done many times, and you're in the back laying on
- 11:07Speaker 10: the floor, I'd rather say, you're sick, go home.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Then people go, I'm sick. Oh, really? You're out till
- 11:11Speaker 1: four in the morning?
- 11:12Speaker 4: Yeah, here's how it works on this show, though. If
- 11:14Speaker 4: you come in sick, we're also mad at you for
- 11:16Speaker 4: coming in here and getting us sick. So if you
- 11:18Speaker 4: stay home, we think you're faking. But if you come in,
- 11:20Speaker 4: we're mad at you for getting us sick.
- 11:21Speaker 7: There's no winning.
- 11:22Speaker 4: There's no winning. Just don't get sick.
- 11:24Speaker 1: All right, Kelly, thanks for calling in.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Thanks, have a good day.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Hey, Brittany. What don't you believe?
- 11:31Speaker 4: Hi.
- 11:31Speaker 13: I don't believe that radio hosts actually like the music
- 11:36Speaker 13: they have to play.
- 11:39Speaker 1: You know what? I can tell you what.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Sorry, guys.
- 11:41Speaker 10: We're going to play a song in just a little
- 11:42Speaker 10: bit that I freaking love and I can't wait to
- 11:45Speaker 10: play for you.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Probably do it in a minute or two. Okay.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Okay?
- 11:49Speaker 7: Sure.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Okay. I know.
- 11:53Speaker 5: I think there are some songs we don't like.
- 11:55Speaker 10: I like every song we play. The only time I
- 11:57Speaker 10: don't like the song is when we play it a
- 11:59Speaker 10: thousand times. Like if you Mario.
- 12:01Speaker 13: Mario.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I was going to say friggin' Miguel. Miguel. We played
- 12:05Speaker 1: Miguel so much. I was like, enough. Enough of that.
- 12:08Speaker 5: I think we get sick of the song sooner than
- 12:10Speaker 5: maybe you do.
- 12:11Speaker 13: Because I will be honest, I listen to this channel
- 12:15Speaker 13: just for you guys. Because I am not a fan
- 12:18Speaker 13: of today's music.
- 12:19Speaker 6: I love you guys so.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Much, though.
- 12:21Speaker 13: I know that's so controversial. No.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Okay, hold on. Brittany, let's do a deep dive on you.
- 12:26Speaker 1: How old are you?
- 12:27Speaker 5: Okay.
- 12:28Speaker 13: I am 36.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Okay. And what part of town are you in?
- 12:32Speaker 6: Queen Creek.
- 12:33Speaker 1: What kind of car do you drive?
- 12:36Speaker 13: I drive a Pathfinder.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Are you Hispanic, Black, Native American, or other?
- 12:45Speaker 8: Other.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Britney and Queen Creek? Total white girl.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Do you have kids? Are you married?
- 12:55Speaker 6: No, I'm married. No kids.
- 12:57Speaker 13: But I am an old school.
- 12:59Speaker 12: That's why. Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 1: No, you're right in our demographic. You're perfect. We'll take it.
- 13:05Speaker 1: We'll take you, Brittany.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Don't ever change.
- 13:07Speaker 1: You know what? Hold on. Hold on.
- 13:08Speaker 10: We should get your number, and whenever we have a
- 13:10Speaker 10: question about a segment we want to do, we run
- 13:12Speaker 10: it by Brittany first. Totally.
- 13:14Speaker 8: She's like, please don't.
- 13:16Speaker 4: We need the white lady in Queen Creek.
- 13:22Speaker 13: I'm going to get some real hate now, guys.
- 13:24Speaker 4: No, you're not. No, you're not.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Listen, we will literally take any listener we can get.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. We appreciate you. You've got to recruit
- 13:30Speaker 4: a few friends of yours, too. We need all the help.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yeah, throw in some more Mexicans in there, too. That'd
- 13:36Speaker 1: be great.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Oh, my goodness.
- 13:37Speaker 1: There you go.
- 13:39Speaker 13: I will admit, some songs you guys have gotten me
- 13:41Speaker 13: to like, but most, I'm like.
- 13:44Speaker 6: Eh, did I really like that song?
- 13:46Speaker 10: Okay, listen, I'm telling you, keep it on the radio station,
- 13:49Speaker 10: keep it on KISS, and wait till you hear the
- 13:51Speaker 10: song we're going.
- 13:51Speaker 1: To play in a minute or two, okay?
- 13:53Speaker 6: Okay, I'll try.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I promise you.
- 13:57Speaker 9: Yeah, okay.
- 13:58Speaker 13: Because I do have another one, too.
- 14:00Speaker 14: What do you got?
- 14:01Speaker 13: I don't believe that people actually like Bruno Mars.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I'm so sorry.
- 14:07Speaker 14: With the guys selling out arenas, you think when 50,000,
- 14:11Speaker 14: 60,000 people go, he played in New York last night.
- 14:14Speaker 9: I know.
- 14:15Speaker 7: Brittany, I bet you if you saw Bruno Mars live,
- 14:17Speaker 7: you would become a Bruno Mars fan.
- 14:18Speaker 4: That Super Bowl performance might be the best Super Bowl
- 14:20Speaker 4: performance ever.
- 14:21Speaker 7: Not easy on the Beyonce.
- 14:23Speaker 4: What?
- 14:24Speaker 7: The opposite was better than Bruno.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Well, I don't know.
- 14:26Speaker 5: Brittany is entitled to her own opinion.
- 14:29Speaker 8: It's okay.
- 14:30Speaker 4: It's true.
- 14:30Speaker 5: We don't all have to agree on everything. That's okay.
- 14:34Speaker 12: I know.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I guess you don't want these Bruno tickets then.
- 14:40Speaker 6: I know.
- 14:41Speaker 4: At least she's real.
- 14:42Speaker 1: All right, Brittany. Thanks for calling in. I really appreciate
- 14:46Speaker 1: you listening.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Thanks, guys.
- 14:47Speaker 6: Love your show.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Love your show too. Thank you.
- 14:52Speaker 10: Hilarious. Here's some text messages real quick. I don't believe
- 14:54Speaker 10: when someone says they're so hungry they can eat a horse.
- 14:57Speaker 10: I don't believe when people say I didn't sleep last
- 15:00Speaker 10: night or haven't slept in days. Really, after 48 hours,
- 15:02Speaker 10: you can just start hallucinating. Oh, this person says, I
- 15:07Speaker 10: don't believe this. For some reason, I've had several people
- 15:09Speaker 10: in the younger generation tell me they don't believe in
- 15:11Speaker 10: Helen Keller. She's not a unicorn to choose whether or
- 15:14Speaker 10: not you believe she's a real person. I don't understand
- 15:16Speaker 10: when people say that.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I've heard that a lot.
- 15:17Speaker 8: There's a lot of lore on the Helen Keller stuff.
- 15:21Speaker 7: It's like how?
- 15:22Speaker 5: It's a long rabbit hole.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yes, it is.
- 15:25Speaker 10: Rich, it's not based on how many tables are unsat.
- 15:28Speaker 10: It's about the servers and how busy they are.
- 15:31Speaker 1: That's why.
- 15:32Speaker 4: When I say there's no room for us in the restaurant. Yeah,
- 15:34Speaker 4: I realize that, but what I'm saying is I don't
- 15:36Speaker 4: buy that. I think you could sit people down.
- 15:38Speaker 1: John J.
- 15:38Speaker 10: Rich, I saw all three avatars. I crave a sparkling water,
- 15:41Speaker 10: and when I want a treat, and I love working out.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Cap.
- 15:45Speaker 5: I don't buy it. I'm like, that was just a
- 15:47Speaker 5: straight-up lie.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Julie, what don't you believe?
- 15:53Speaker 13: I don't believe, you know, when you give someone a
- 15:56Speaker 13: helpful tip, and they're like, oh, you learn something new
- 15:58Speaker 13: every day. Because you don't learn something new every day.
- 16:02Speaker 3: You just don't. I don't buy it.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I think I forget a lot of really good advice
- 16:05Speaker 4: every day, though. That's probably true. I forget something every day.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Thank you, Julie. Brenda, what don't you believe? Brenda.
- 16:14Speaker 8: Hello.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Hello, you're on the air.
- 16:15Speaker 9: Yes.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I don't believe when people say, my kids are the best.
- 16:20Speaker 12: They're the sweetest.
- 16:21Speaker 13: They never get in trouble.
- 16:22Speaker 12: I just go, oh, really?
- 16:25Speaker 14: Ugh.
- 16:29Speaker 13: I don't believe it for a second. No way.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Quit lying about your children. Paul, what don't you believe?
- 16:37Speaker 1: I do not.
- 16:37Speaker 10: Believe that elderly should have a license past a certain age.
- 16:41Speaker 8: Wow.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Hot take.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Where do you cut it off? Where's the elderly? I'd
- 16:47Speaker 1: say past the age of about 77, they should not
- 16:50Speaker 1: be able to drive. I think they got to pass
- 16:52Speaker 1: a test. They should be able to pass a.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Test, but 77 can look very different for, for people.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Right.
- 16:57Speaker 1: That's why you should pass a test. Cause I know like,
- 16:59Speaker 1: like my father-in-law, God bless him. He's 89.
- 17:01Speaker 10: He hasn't taken a driver's test as he was 16.
- 17:03Speaker 10: And he's one of those guys.
- 17:05Speaker 1: That drives and says, when he says, look over here,
- 17:07Speaker 1: this car goes that way.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Well, I mean, that's what the Arizona licenses.
- 17:11Speaker 7: They, Buy her for so long so you don't ever
- 17:14Speaker 7: have to go back and check.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Take a test after. Just like a pilot. Don't pilots
- 17:17Speaker 1: have to get tests every once in a while? Sure.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'm kind of on the same page.
- 17:20Speaker 4: They need to pass a test.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Thanks, brother. Thanks for listening.
- 17:24Speaker 10: Okay, so we need a contestant for a minute to
- 17:28Speaker 10: win it.
- 17:28Speaker 4: 877-937-1047.
- 17:30Speaker 1: But I do want to play this one song I
- 17:31Speaker 1: was talking about. Obviously, you know, Dolly Parton died yesterday.
- 17:35Speaker 10: And I remember when I was a kid and I
- 17:37Speaker 10: was going to Knox Elementary School in Chandler. And I
- 17:40Speaker 10: was listening to this radio station, which blows my mind.
- 17:43Speaker 10: And this song was like the number one song in
- 17:46Speaker 10: the world forever. And it reminded me when she died,
- 17:51Speaker 10: I couldn't help thinking about it. I've listened to this
- 17:52Speaker 10: song on a constant loop since yesterday. And it's Rolling
- 17:56Speaker 10: Stone Magazine said this is the number one duet of
- 17:58Speaker 10: all time. And I want you to think about this
- 18:00Speaker 10: for a second. When you think about this song, the
- 18:01Speaker 10: best way I was trying to relate it to today's music,
- 18:05Speaker 10: it's almost like if Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars... did
- 18:08Speaker 10: a duet on Shaboosie's The Bar Song. This is a
- 18:12Speaker 10: fun song because I know a lot of people, a
- 18:13Speaker 10: lot of radio stations are probably playing this a lot
- 18:15Speaker 10: of slow music because Dolly Parton wrote a lot of
- 18:16Speaker 10: slow music. But this song is a kick-ass song. And
- 18:20Speaker 10: so we'll just throw this out there for Dolly Parton.
- 18:22Speaker 10: You know, it was a big loss yesterday. And this
- 18:25Speaker 10: is Islands in the Stream.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You can sing along if you want to.
- 18:33Speaker 7: Islands in the stream, that is what we are.
- 18:37Speaker 4: No one in between, how can.
- 18:40Speaker 10: We be wrong?
- 18:42Speaker 7: Sail away with me to another world. And we rely
- 18:47Speaker 7: on each.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Other, uh-huh. From one lover to another, uh-huh.
- 18:57Speaker 14: This song was like number one on the country charts,
- 19:01Speaker 14: number one on the pop charts, number one all across
- 19:04Speaker 14: the world in Australia and Europe all at the same time,
- 19:05Speaker 14: which apparently hasn't happened again in a long time.
- 19:08Speaker 10: So anyway, that's rest in peace, Dolly Parton. And we're
- 19:10Speaker 10: going to get more into Dolly Parton in about 45,
- 19:12Speaker 10: 50 minutes. Right now, though, minute to win it. We
- 19:15Speaker 10: got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Good morning, Mary.
- 19:19Speaker 13: Hi, good morning.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Good morning. You are our contestant for Minute to Win It.
- 19:23Speaker 9: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from.
- 19:26Speaker 7: Peoria Ford right now.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Minute to Win It.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Oh, Mary, I can already tell you're locked in. You're
- 19:31Speaker 4: going to do so well on this. Let's do it.
- 19:33Speaker 4: 60 seconds, 10 questions. Get them all right, and you
- 19:37Speaker 4: win $ 1, 000. In what sport, Mary, do you score a touchdown?
- 19:40Speaker 11: Football.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Which actor is famous for playing Wolverine in all of
- 19:46Speaker 4: the X-Men movies?
- 19:50Speaker 2: Oh, gosh.
- 19:51Speaker 6: Hugh Jackman?
- 19:53Speaker 4: The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world.
- 19:55Speaker 4: What is the smallest ocean in the world?
- 19:58Speaker 6: The Arctic.
- 20:00Speaker 4: What city is the capital city of Japan?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Tokyo?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Tokyo?
- 20:07Speaker 4: What famous Egyptian monument has the body of a lion
- 20:10Speaker 4: and the head of a human?
- 20:11Speaker 9: The Sphinx.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Painter Vincent van Gogh famously cut off part of what
- 20:17Speaker 4: body part?
- 20:19Speaker 13: His ear.
- 20:21Speaker 4: What is the name of the Greek god of the underworld? Hades.
- 20:27Speaker 4: What mammal is known for laying eggs?
- 20:32Speaker 2: The platypus.
- 20:34Speaker 1: What U.S.
- 20:34Speaker 4: State is geographically closest to the continent of Africa? Maine.
- 20:41Speaker 4: What marine mammal can sleep with one eye open?
- 20:44Speaker 5: Mary only had one more.
- 20:45Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Nine right.
- 20:47Speaker 7: I ran out of time with the question.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Oh, man.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Mary, you might be the smartest person I've ever met.
- 20:56Speaker 8: Wow.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I was out at the smallest ocean.
- 20:58Speaker 4: She just paused on that. She just paused on that
- 21:01Speaker 4: a little too long.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I know.
- 21:03Speaker 4: And she would have been right there. I am curious
- 21:05Speaker 4: because I.
- 21:05Speaker 13: Was in the middle.
- 21:06Speaker 6: No, Hugh Jackman.
- 21:07Speaker 13: It was Hugh Jackman.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, you paused on that one. I'm curious, though,
- 21:09Speaker 4: because I was starting to ask this question. I wonder
- 21:11Speaker 4: if you would have got it. What marine mammal can
- 21:13Speaker 4: sleep with one eye open?
- 21:14Speaker 1: An octopus?
- 21:16Speaker 6: An octopus?
- 21:17Speaker 4: Oh, no, that isn't correct. It's dolphin.
- 21:19Speaker 13: Oh.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Dolphin. Dolphin.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Oh, you suck, Mary. No, I would not have done that.
- 21:24Speaker 4: You suck.
- 21:25Speaker 8: Right.
- 21:25Speaker 13: That was awesome.
- 21:27Speaker 5: That was very impressive.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Yeah, very impressive.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Good job, Mary.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Yeah, hold on, Mary.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Hold on. Thank you for playing. Wow, that was crazy.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Those were hard. None of those were super easy. She
- 21:36Speaker 4: rocked it.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Emily's calling about stuff you don't believe. What don't you
- 21:39Speaker 1: believe in, Emily?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Hey, so I never believe when somebody is telling a
- 21:45Speaker 2: story about or just a little silly.
- 21:47Speaker 6: Scenario and they go, you cannot make.
- 21:50Speaker 9: This stuff up.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Like most likely it's part of it or most of
- 21:54Speaker 2: it is made up.
- 21:57Speaker 5: That's funny.
- 21:57Speaker 1: That's pretty good. Thank you.
- 21:59Speaker 10: Thanks for calling in. There's a bunch of, Oh, look,
- 22:02Speaker 10: here's a text. Thanks for making me cry. RIP Dolly Parton.
- 22:08Speaker 10: I don't believe that Drake is a good artist. I
- 22:09Speaker 10: don't believe, I don't believe there are any winners on
- 22:12Speaker 10: the I heart contests. I don't believe that anyone likes
- 22:15Speaker 10: the top dog commercials. I don't believe when people say
- 22:24Speaker 10: I've never had the flu. I don't believe Tupac is dead.
- 22:29Speaker 7: I'm with them.
- 22:30Speaker 4: You don't?
- 22:31Speaker 7: I agree. Yeah, he's probably somewhere in Cuba.
- 22:33Speaker 8: Although I do have to say with his murder, like
- 22:35Speaker 8: with the trial going on right now and some of
- 22:36Speaker 8: those autopsy.
- 22:37Speaker 7: Pictures, I was like, ooh.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Yeah, that's him.
- 22:39Speaker 7: He might be gone.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:40Speaker 9: On that note, I really think I confused my nine-year-old.
- 22:44Speaker 9: So the kids are like really into Michael Jackson music.
- 22:48Speaker 9: And they're like, is Michael Jackson dead or alive?
- 22:50Speaker 5: And I said, okay.
- 22:51Speaker 9: He passed away, I think it was like 2007 or
- 22:53Speaker 9: 2008-ish or something like that. And they're like, oh, that's sad.
- 22:56Speaker 9: I go, you know, some people have a theory that
- 22:58Speaker 9: he didn't really die, he faked his death.
- 23:00Speaker 5: And they're like, what?
- 23:00Speaker 9: And I was like, yeah, there's this video where it
- 23:02Speaker 9: shows this person getting out of the ambulance that kind
- 23:04Speaker 9: of looks like it could have been him walking out.
- 23:06Speaker 1: And they're like, what?
- 23:07Speaker 5: And I was like, it's just a theory, though. Some
- 23:09Speaker 5: people believe it. Some people don't.
- 23:10Speaker 11: And then we just went about our day. And it's
- 23:12Speaker 11: been like a month since that conversation happened. And last night,
- 23:16Speaker 11: Easton goes, but mom, Michael Jackson is alive, right? Oh, no,
- 23:20Speaker 11: it was just a theory.
- 23:21Speaker 7: According to the world, he's dead. Literally, I'm like, you
- 23:26Speaker 7: are rubbing off on them early.
- 23:29Speaker 5: He's like, but you showed me that video.
- 23:31Speaker 4: You shouldn't send nine-year-olds down rabbit holes.
- 23:33Speaker 7: You showed them the video of him walking out of
- 23:34Speaker 7: the ambulance.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And now you're wondering why they're confused?
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 5: No, not Aunt Hesh. You're thinking of Aunt Hesh.
- 23:40Speaker 1: No, I've seen the video where Michael gets out. There's
- 23:42Speaker 1: the ambulance. And you see the person walk either out
- 23:44Speaker 1: of the building.
- 23:44Speaker 11: There's just a video of them, the Michael Jackson lookalike,
- 23:48Speaker 11: getting out of what would have been the ambulance.
- 23:51Speaker 5: They're just walking him in. It's not like, it's not graphic, right?
- 23:56Speaker 1: Hey, Seth, what don't you believe?
- 23:58Speaker 2: People are saying they've seen Bigfoot.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, that's common.
- 24:02Speaker 10: Yeah, but I mean, get a picture. What I'm saying
- 24:04Speaker 10: is that's a common thing that people don't believe.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Like, yeah, of course not.
- 24:07Speaker 14: Exactly.
- 24:07Speaker 2: They see a monkey man and they don't think to
- 24:09Speaker 2: pull out their phone.
- 24:11Speaker 1: All right, brother. Thank you. Peyton, I saw, so you
- 24:15Speaker 1: had some pretty good seats at the Mercury game last night.
- 24:17Speaker 8: Yeah, my friend actually gave me her courtside tickets. So
- 24:20Speaker 8: she came through.
- 24:21Speaker 3: I know.
- 24:22Speaker 8: They played, the Mercury played the Washington Mystics. And it
- 24:25Speaker 8: was pretty cool because there's a couple of, like, really
- 24:26Speaker 8: good rookies on that team. But literally, like, towards the
- 24:31Speaker 8: end of the fourth quarter, I'm sitting there with my
- 24:33Speaker 8: best friend Kelsey.
- 24:34Speaker 7: And we're watching the game. And on the other end
- 24:37Speaker 7: of the court, we.
- 24:38Speaker 8: See this, like, neon green thing fly onto the basketball court.
- 24:45Speaker 7: And we literally are like, oh.
- 24:47Speaker 4: My gosh.
- 24:48Speaker 7: Is that a sex toy? And it was. It was.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Somebody took.
- 24:54Speaker 8: some kind of toy and threw it on the basketball field.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Why is this a trend at WNBA games?
- 24:59Speaker 4: That's becoming a national story. I would have jumped on
- 25:02Speaker 4: it like a grenade. They literally immediately.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Took a towel and threw it over it.
- 25:06Speaker 7: It was actually really funny. I got the whole thing happening.
- 25:11Speaker 7: You can see it land on the floor.
- 25:13Speaker 8: You can see the girl cover it up with the
- 25:15Speaker 8: towel on our Instagram, at John Jane, which you can
- 25:18Speaker 8: see the post.
- 25:19Speaker 7: It's crazy because this has been a trend. A lot
- 25:21Speaker 7: of people have been sneaking these things in.
- 25:23Speaker 8: Why? No.
- 25:25Speaker 9: What?
- 25:25Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 25:26Speaker 7: But I got to tell you, like, as a WNBA fan,
- 25:29Speaker 7: I find it hilarious. I think it is so funny.
- 25:33Speaker 7: It is so childish.
- 25:35Speaker 8: I know. We shouldn't do that.
- 25:36Speaker 1: No, it's dangerous.
- 25:37Speaker 4: It's so dangerous. They're heavy.
- 25:39Speaker 7: Absolutely.
- 25:39Speaker 8: And as soon as it went on the floor and
- 25:41Speaker 8: they got this guy, you heard around the whole arena, like,
- 25:44Speaker 8: the whole spiel of, don't throw things onto court.
- 25:47Speaker 4: You will be removed.
- 25:48Speaker 8: You will da-da-da-da.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Why should they have to make that announcement?
- 25:52Speaker 4: I know.
- 25:52Speaker 14: There was a.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Wasn't there something that people were throwing tortillas all the time?
- 25:56Speaker 4: Yeah, an octopus for hockey. They were throwing.
- 25:58Speaker 1: What was the tortilla one? Anyone remember that?
- 26:00Speaker 5: I don't remember the tortilla one.
