- Shaun: being a parent and having kids is the most selfish thing that you can do in life. Jen: that's such a goofy I in in my humble opinion. Sorry, Barry, that was aggressive. Barry: Such a goofy I don't have control over a black hole sucking us up and devouring us. I can't have zero I can control going into Shaun: Whoa. Barry: why are we gonna sit here and have conversation? Just do what you wanna do and I'm gonna be fine. Shaun: All right, everybody, welcome back to Bald Enough to Say It, episode 19. According to Jen: Whoop whoop. Shaun: Barry, this is the most boring birthday ever. You're so wrong, like birthdays are pointless anyway. Barry: Whack nothing happens at nineteen, bro. What is what happens? Jen: The worst birthday. We're gonna change that. Shaun: It's a birthday. Birthdays, no Barry: It's irrelevant. Shaun: matter what it is, is irrelevant. It doesn't matter. Barry: I mean, no. Overall I would agree with that. I gotta say, you get some cool things, get to vote, get to serve. for sure. I Shaun: It's just a day. Jen: Don't that's aggressive. Irrelevant is aggressive. I do think people go yeah, people go overboard with birthdays, I will say. But irrelevant is that's so harsh. Shaun: It is. Okay, here's the thing. Barry: mean, I as we were just saying, I'm cool with celebrating other people's, but y'all don't need to celebrate mine. I'm completely cool with that. Shaun: Exactly. And here's the thing, Jen: No. Okay. Shaun: your birthday is for something that you didn't ask for. And to even go off of that, you two are going to probably not like this and I'm probably going to catch a bunch Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: of crap for this. But being a parent and having kids is the most selfish thing that you can do in life. Just, just going to throw that out there. The reason why selfish, because Jen: Hmm, interesting. Okay. Why? Why do you feel? Why do you feel? Barry: The most selfish Shaun: now this kid has to live through life and do all Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: of the things that they never asked to do. and they have no choice in it. What do you mean the purpose of life? That is the most deep question ever. Jen: So what do you think the purpose of life is? Like why are we here? I mean Barry: my god, whoa, we're going deep right off the bat. What is the purpose of life? That's like Jen: If everybody thought how Shaun thought Barry: the one question everybody Jen: and said, you know what, I'm not gonna be selfish. I'm not gonna bring kids into the world. Hmm. Shaun: That's the beauty of it though. Everyone doesn't think the way that I think. That's the Barry: No. Shaun: beauty of having opinions, is everyone can think what they want to think. Jen: Okay. Barry: But s I mean, w well we all had selfish parents who brought us here and I'm thankful for that. So then it's not irrelevant. It's not selfish. Shaun: Exactly. Like we all had selfish parents. I'm just saying that it's very, it's very selfish and it is also Jen: I wouldn't say selfish. Shaun: irrelevant because your birthday, you're Barry: I agree with the irrelevance. Shaun: like, you're, if you celebrate your own birthday, you're celebrating something that had nothing that you had no accomplishment in. Yeah. Barry: Yeah, no control over no. Shaun: You had no control over it, no accomplishment in that you're just celebrating the fact that you're still here on earth. Barry: Mm. Jen: I think that's worth something to celebrate. Shaun: Celebrating other people is celebrating friends and family. Boom! Barry: You should do that every day, Jen. It shouldn't take your birthday though. You should do that every day. Jen: But okay, but Shaun: He gets it. Jen: that's such a goofy I in in my humble opinion. Sorry, Barry, that was aggressive. And this was aggressive and I apologize. No, Barry: Such a goofy to be appreciative and thankful for every day? Jen: I d I agree you should be thankful for every day, but I think especially adulting's it's fucking hard, okay? There's a lot of things going on. And unless Barry: Whoa, it is. Jen: you take time to like if you don't take the intention to like go hang out with your friends or go on a date with your partner or You know, if you don't make the intention to take time away for that, then you don't actually do it. And it's really hard. And life kind of swallows Shaun: What does that have to do with a birthday? Jen: you up. Because I think it's nice for you to be able to s have a day to celebrate like you working hard through life and you doing whatever. Like life is hard. Barry: Yo, I do that as much as I Shaun: But if we're friends and family, why can't Barry: can. I gotta say Shaun: we do that on a random day? Barry: I do that as much as I can, Jen. It don't need to be my birthday. I'm trying to do that as much as Shaun: Yeah. Barry: I can. For Jen: Well, Barry: sure. Jen: your life is better than mine because I surely don't have the time Barry: I don't know about that, but I'm just saying I definitely ain't saving it for once a Shaun: Comparison is the thief of joy. Barry: year. I'm trying to Jen: Mm. Barry: do that as many times in the year as I can. It's not a lot. But yo, Jen: Yeah, a hundred percent. But is that well, okay. Barry: my birthday, I do it if me and Becca get out of town for my birthday or any other just a weekend, it don't matter. Like we're gonna get out of town and I'm just gonna enjoy it. Jen: Yeah. Barry: Whatever that may be. Does it usually include those? Yes. Hundred percent agree with it. Jen: So it just gives you another opportunity or moment to be intentional and have a moment. Barry: But do it Shaun: I think it's just another one of those traditions that has been pushed upon us and we just all do it just because that's just what it is. Yeah. Barry: Capitalism and greed to go spend that money on each other, bro. Shaun: Just like other Jen: Mm. Shaun: holidays. Like it's all Barry: Yes, sir. Shaun: just a tradition that we all just feed into Barry: It's all a marketing scam. Shaun: and we just keep going. And she's ignoring us now. It's funny that she can get on her phone while we're on an episode, but she can't be on her phone when we're trying to text. Okay. Fair. Jen: Okay. Okay. Sh don't I'm gonna cover up his thing. Don't yell at me. This is a he my child is going low, so I need to make sure Barry: she's Jen: somebody is on it because I'm in here. So fight me. Shaun: I will retract that statement immediately. Barry: she's saving a life. She's saving a life. Anyways, we got off the rail real quick. Welcome to welcome to episode nineteen, y'all. We are we are our last teenage Shaun: Sure did. Welcome to episode 19. Welcome to episode 19. Jen: We really did. I told y'all this energy was gonna come bite us in the butt. Hmm, it's a little chaotic today. Barry: year. Shaun: Yes, our last teenage year we are almost 20. That's true. Jen: Our last teenage year, aw. Barry: Twenty was our goal. So, I mean that's a big thing to celebrate next one. Shaun: Next week might be our last time recording. Never know. Jen: Yeah. No, it's not. Don't be out here lying to these people. Barry: Hey You never know. Shaun: man, if this is your first time coming to join us, welcome to the circus. Apparently we're just all clowns and goofy. According Barry: Welcome. Welcome. Jen: Welcome to the show. Shaun: to Jen, we are just goofs like goofy. Barry: Just goofy. Jen: Yeah, we are goofy goobers. Shaun: If. You have been back with us episode after episode. We appreciate you for doing that. So make sure that you do go in, you like, subscribe, and you, wait, pound the bell. Barry: Pound that bell. You got it. You got it. Jen: There you go. Shaun: the pound the bell, it's escaped my mind. Barry: Mm. Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: But as we usually do, we get started with our week. Jennifer, how was your week? Jen: It was good. Shaun: she didn't get mad at it, sweet. I know. Barry: The last one's have been long. This is a good one. Jen: I mean it was still a long week, but it was a good week. It was busy but good. Shaun: Nice. Jen: I mean the week was the week. It kind of went by pretty, pretty fast. but had some fun in-person days, which I don't get to have as much. And sometimes when they're they're there, they're nice. So that was fun. And landed sh we're gonna chop that out. Barry: Ha ha Jen: My child who has type one diabetes got a new pump instead of having to have the injections four times a day. He has a pump. that does it for him and we only have to change that out every three days. So, Shaun: nice. Jen: makes it a lot easier for him. So that's exciting. We had to take a whole training class on it and that was kind of overwhelming, but it's nice. Hopefully it helps. Shaun: Sounds easier for y'all and him. Jen: a hundred percent, yeah. I mean, he's still young, so we don't want him doing it's always supervised. We have him yeah, Barry: We've overdosed himself on that sugar, right? Jen: exactly. We we have him do it, but like it's always supervised with us doing it. Barry: Mm. Right with your yeah. Jen: Yeah. So he knows not to like open the app or anything like that and has a code on it, so he can't do it without us. But it makes it a lot nicer with counting the carbs and knowing what to dose because the pump the it's an app on his iPhone. And so he literally just has to open the app and tell the app how many carbs he's about to eat, which Barry: that's dope. Jen: for that we've we lay it out for him. So we count it and tell him what to put. If he's at school, like it's on a sticky note in his lunch box that I put in there. And so he Barry: Ooh, how is that? That that's Shaun: source. Barry: gonna be hard for him eating like he can't eat school lunch now, huh? Jen: No. Well, I mean, they haven't eaten school lunch the whole year, so it wasn't a huge change. Shaun: Hmm. Barry: Y'all good, yo. I be getting lazy, bro. I'm like, yo, y'all are eating school lunch today. I ain't trying to make no lunch today. Y'all got this one. It's it is. Jen: but yeah, I'll just go ahead. It is like a whole it is a lot of work trying to make those darn lunches Shaun: They're lunchtakers. Right? Jen: every single night. I will say he loves to do it with me. So he kind of doesn't let me get lazy with it. He's like, Mm, it's almost time for bed. Are we gonna make lunches now? So, Barry: Good good for him. Yo, I'm the I hated eating l like sandwiches that were pre made when I was in elementary. Soggy, bro. It's disgusting. I feel bad for my kids. My oldest Jen: Yeah. They do. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Shaun: Yeah, because it gets soggy. Barry: actually just complained about that. She's like, Yeah, I don't like the Jen: Really? Barry: sandwiches. A girl, we we gon' I I mean, people Jen: well. Barry: gave me grief when we f when I first started working, 'cause I used to bring stuff separated 'cause for that very Jen: Yeah. Barry: reason. Jen: Yeah. Barry: Everybody Shaun: you Barry: called me like the fancy sandwich guy 'cause I like I don't want a nasty soggy sandwich. I want a fresh s it's the worst, bro. So yeah, I know. Jen: Soggy bread is like one of the worst things so that you could just well nope. Yeah, that's gross. Shaun: gosh. I mean, what's wrong with bringing it separate and just making it as a sandwich? Jen: Yeah, and putting Barry: People give me Jen: it together. Barry: grief, bro. I I'm down. I mean, no, I still did it every day. I had no Shaun: man screw people people suck who cares Jen: So I'm gonna do it. Barry: qualms about it, bro. I could care less. I'm gonna eat me a fresh good sandwich. So, but Jen: There you go, with his Jimmy John Day old bread. Shaun: Mm-hmm. Do you? Right? Barry: yo, that stuff is hard to beat. 50 cents. And they just be giving me, yo, like I have such a good relationship. I'll walk in, and especially if it's like the one of the two owners. They'd be like, how many you want? And just hand it to me and I walk out, bro. It's the best. Or I'd like I told y'all, if I spend $2, they give me 12. Like, do you want the rest? So it's all a crapshoot. Cause Jen: And then sometimes you get a whole box. Shaun: here. Jen: So funny. Barry: sometimes I go in in the afternoon and they're like, yeah, we don't have any. And I'm like, dang. So. Anyways, Shaun: Hmm. Jen: Too funny. Mm mm. So funny. Shaun: That makes sense. Barry: making lunches. Jen: Anyways, yes, making lunches, Shaun: Mm-hmm. Jen: oof, it's a doozy, but you know, you gotta get it done. Barry: Yeah. Jen: so yeah, that's it will make it easier for Kenny and I having to like manage it and cause you literally have to math because you have to figure out where his blood sugar is currently at. And based on where it's at, there's a chart on how many units he needs for something called a correction. And then you have to count his carbs and he gets a certain amount of units per his carbs, and then you have to add the two up. So it is a a Barry: I think. Jen: bit of math. So it'll be easier for us because the app. does all the math for you, you just have to input everything. Mm-hmm. Barry: You just put in the numbers. Yeah. Shaun: So does he have to adjust what he can and can't eat out of his lunch based off of where his numbers are? Jen: Well one I'm not gonna put in what I'm not gonna put anything in his lunch that mm mm, yeah. Yeah, yeah. But yes. Mm-hmm. Barry: He wouldn't what he shouldn't eat. Yeah. Shaun: Well, no, I'm just saying, like, for example, like if he had a sandwich and like the carbs were like, if it was too much for that time, he can only eat half of the sandwich or something like that. Jen: not really. It's more of just overall what is he putting in his body? How many carbs? A hundred percent. I mean, even as a family, we've made just the whole change. Mm-hmm. We've switched out a lot of stuff that's like just in the house. It is. Yeah. Barry: You kinda try and plan out his day for the as much as you can, right? So you aren't having those variations. Yo, that's gotta suck 'cause kids be bringing like cupcakes in for lunch and he that throws him off, bro. He can't have it. Shaun: Hmm. Yeah. Jen: Although shout out to one of these little girls who made me cry because she brought in cookies and she like brought these special cookies that were like low sugar ones to include I'm gonna cry thinking about it right now. But he was like so excited. There are because he literally right, who are you? Who's your mom? Let me get her number. But literally he was so Barry: that's sweet. That's sweet. There are good people in the world. Shaun: Aww. Is that future wifey? Jen: excited he got in the car and he was like, I got to have the cookies and she brought cookies and it was just it was really, really cute. But yes, that is a shout out to that little girl. Barry: That's very nice of her. Shout out to her, that young lady who did that. If Shaun: That's awesome. Yes. Barry: if this gets back. That's awesome. Jen: Yes, exactly. So that was nice. But but yeah, it yeah. Be it's mm-hmm. Barry: Choose kind, bro. That's what I tell my girls. They always make fun of me, bro. I was like being kind is such a easy choice. Shaun: It is. That's all you have to do. Jen: It really is. And it can literally make somebody's like whole week. Like, yes, it really can. Barry: It could literally make somebody's day better, bro. Just choose kind. That's it. Shaun: Mm-hmm. Jen: Amen. so yeah, he got a new pump. That's really exciting. I hope that it kind of makes everybody feel a bit more comfortable. I hope it keeps him in range a lot easier, a lot more. Barry: How does it work with him like playing soccer? Does like sweating Shaun: Mm. Barry: and like dehydration play into it? Jen: So that mm hmm. Yeah. So that is something something that's really cool on the app is there's there's Barry: Or like electrolytes. Jen: an activity like tab where you Barry: Mm. Jen: can tell it, hey, I'm gonna be playing soccer for the next two hours. And it will kind of adjust and watch how his blood sugar is going because it connects to his DEXCOM. So he has a DEXCOM here on his arm that is his blood glucose monitor. So that monitors what's his blood glucose is at and they communicate. Barry: Hm. So it they connect and communicate to each other. Jen: Yeah. Shaun: So it's like more frequent readings probably since he's more active. Yeah. Jen: Yeah. Yep. Every five minutes. Mm-hmm. Barry: That's dope. Yeah, way more consistent data. Jen: Exactly. Yeah. The honestly the yes, the technology Barry: That's dope. Instead of having to do the pen prick. The finger prick. Jen: these days is just wild and really great. So very thankful Barry: That's dope. Jen: for Shaun: Nice. Jen: that. but yeah, so that was a big thing this week. And then Kenny and I's anniversary is tomorrow. So we went and had a little date night. Thank you. Thank you. Barry: Well, happy early anniversary. Shaun: happy anniversary. See, that's something to celebrate an anniversary because that's something that you had. You had work into that. That's something to celebrate. Barry: Bam. That is definitely the y'all put a lot of work into that, bro. A lot of work. Jen: Just not the birth of him. Ape. Clip it. Barry: A lot of it. Jen: yes. That is something to celebrate because, you know, relationships are a lot of work. But yes. we got to go on a date night, have a nice dinner, go see a new movie. yeah. That's really it. Shaun: Awesome. What movie did y'all go see? Jen: we wouldn't solve Verity. Shaun: Okay. Barry: How was that? Jen: I have mixed feelings. Shaun: okay. Jen: As one who read the book, I there were a lot of elements that were v Barry: of course it's a book. Jen: it was a book. And it was there were a lot of elements that I think were very different from the book. I do think it wasn't as garbage as many people are out there saying. Like some people are dragging, yeah. I love all Barry: Dang. Yeah, I love Josh Hartnett. It's my dude, bro. Shaun: Isn't it a remake too? Jen: of them. No, it's all it's based on a book. Shaun: I thought there was another one, but maybe not. Jen: what else is out right now? Barry: I'm nobody's like movie critic. Jen: I don't know what else is that right Shaun: you Jen: now that might be a remake, but that one is not. Barry: Hm. Jen: but yeah, the s the cast is stacked. Like it's a good cast. but people are like really dogging on it online. Barry: Mm. Jen: And I didn't think it was that bad. I would give it like a three out of five. Like it was still entertaining. but because Barry: Pretty low. Jen: I read the book, there's many things that I think were different from the book. And anytime you have that, it's like Shaun: Yeah. Barry: Yeah, it makes sense. Jen: But but yeah. It was nice. Shaun: I mean, there's also, people are giving a lot of crap to Taylor Swift too right now. Barry: Yeah. Jen: So much. I mean, we really want to get into it. Barry: Yo people going at her a hard. Shaun: It's so worth it. Jen: They always do. Like this is not something new. This is not anything new. This is not anything that she's hasn't been through before. Shaun: Her music sucks. Barry: It's hilario I'm it's funny to me though, bro. It's hilarious. It's hilarious. man. Whew. Shaun: You have to admit that song is terrible. Jen: I will not admit any of those songs are terrible. Loved every single Barry: Yo, she's literally Jen: one of Barry: just talking. Jen: Loved it all. It's meant to be cheeky. It's meant to be goofy. It's meant to be, you're out here talking shit on me. cool. Shaun: Hmm. Jen: I'm enjoying my life. My boo's taking me to Cleveland and we're having a great time. So screw all y'all. Like it's meant to be that. So everybody's like, my God, all of her songs aren't meant to be like this huge, super in depth anything. Like she can have just Barry: Well I would agree with that. Jen: Aye aye. Shaun: I definitely agree with that. Jen: Again, it's nothing new. She'll be fine. Shaun: Okay. Barry: She is. She's doing way better than us. Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: well, absolutely. Barry: You go, Tay Tay. Shaun: Yeah. She's doing way better than most of the people in the world. Jen: Get it, girl. I loved it. Every single one of them. I don't know what the hate was for. People Barry: Mm-hmm. Jen: just out here gonna hate. People gonna hate. Barry: But would you say if she did a bad music, Jen, let's be honest. Shaun: I'm gonna hate, hate, hate, hate. Jen: As soon as she does, then I'll say it. Barry: Okay. None of her music has been bad at all. Not one song. Jen: But I feel like I'm also a horrible like person to ask that because I truly like there's n I I would be hard pressed to find a music that I couldn't find some sort of like enjoyment about. Like music is very important to me. And so I f I even if I don't necessarily enjoy it, I'm gonna be like, That's really cool. Like how different and you know what I mean? Like I just I don't know if I would ever say that about anybody. Shaun: I mean, I can appreciate artistry and music too, because there's a lot of work that goes into it, but if there's a song that's wack, that song sucks. Barry: There's some songs that have just, yeah, fall flat, man. Jen: Okay. Shaun: my god. Barry: Guess not. Shaun: OK, so we can't talk about T. Swiss T. Swift because she could never do anything wrong. You'd be wrong all you want. Barry: Sorry. No. Can't no critiques. No critiques. No critiques, bro. Jen: You can talk about it and you can sit there and be wrong all you want. That's fine. You can be wrong all you want. Barry: No critiques. Shaun: Fair enough. Well, Barry, how about you dog? How was your week? Barry: it was decent. I went to the dentist on two I'm not a I'm not a big fan of the dentist. Jen: Ugh, I hate the dentist. I don't. Barry: I like my dentist. Actually, shout out Dr. Litton. I gave him Jen: There you go. Barry: some some swag from the pod I told him we were. So Shaun: Ayyyy Jen: Fun. Barry: yeah, my man, my dental hygienist, she got me clean. Jen: Love that. Barry: Had some feedback. I'd be jamming the floss in my teeth too hard. Jen: What no. Are you you pushing your gums up or what? Barry: I'm pushing them down. Like on the bottom, like going in. Push too hard. Said Yeah. Shaun: and on the bottom. Jen: What? Dang. okay, yeah. Shaun: Mm. Barry: So But I I mean, no cavities, none of that. I keep do good. I can do good with my teeth. Jen: Dang. I mean that's that's the goal. Barry: As much as I hate the dentist. Shaun: You have to hook me up, dog. I need a new dentist around here. Barry: letting me know. He's good. Doctor Litton Jen: Yeah, you're like right there. Barry: It's over. This one's over by Like the middle aged H E B. Like over off forty six. Shaun: that's fine. Barry: It's not too far. But yeah, he's Shaun: Yeah. Barry: dope. shoot, it was pretty chill. We went to Costco yesterday. I'm not the biggest fan of going there with my family. I love my family. But we had eight things on the list and we s walked out of there with almost three hundred dollars when I would have probably made it out under a hundred. Jen: no. I'm shocked you kept it under three hundred. Like every time I go in there. Barry: It's the silliest. It is and I get so mad and I don't know why I do because I know it's gonna happen, but I get mad. I just get frustrated. I'm like, yo, we don't need Jen: Mm. Barry: all these things. Like we literally had eight things on the list and they were Jen: But in the moment you're like, I need this. Yeah. Barry: not anything besides food. Jen: Mm. Shaun: That's why Costco sucks. Barry: It's the worst. No, it it doesn't though. The list does. The list. you could do that at Costco, I think, too. Jen: Costco, you go in there and Costco tells you what you need. You don't get to decide. Shaun: Exactly. That's why Sam's is so much better because you can just order it online and go and pick it up. You can't do that at Costco. Jen: No, s Sam says the same. Shaun: I don't. Can you at Costco? I didn't think they did. I didn't know that. Barry: Yeah, there's a pickup feature. There is a pickup feature. Jen: you can't Barry: Uh-huh. No, you'd have to go in. They do delivery, yes. Jen: can you? They just don't have curbside. But they do delivery. I literally just a Costco delivery a minute ago. Shaun: that's fine. Barry: So we order stuff from there for delivery. But I don't do Jen: Mm-hmm. All the time. Barry: groceries for I don't know if they do groceries. I think it's more like one off items that you want. Shaun: you Jen: No, they do groceries too. Yeah, I just did a whole grocery order from Costco earlier. Barry: do they? No, okay. There you go. No. Jen: 'Cause we don't go to the stores anymore because that's what happens. We end up spending five hundred Shaun: Mm-hmm. Barry: the most frustrating thing. Jen: dollars every time we walk in the store. Yeah. Barry: And Jen: Mm hmm. Barry: did some honey-dos, hung some pictures. Good stuff, y'all. It's the best. Jen: Nice. Out here Shaun: I some pictures. Jen: and just woo, so exciting. Barry: yeah. Shaun: Live in your best life. Barry: I'm trying to think. Is there anything else? No surprise Jen: my goodness. Barry: outings. Shaun: that's nice. Barry: Just just Costco. Shaun: Nice. Barry: Got in H E B at like twelve to twelve thirty. We did it last night to get in in the midday. Usually it's like either morning or afternoon. There's usually like the midday windows are all gone if I do it like Sunday morning for the same day. Shaun: Mmm. Barry: So that was nice. Get our groceries a little earlier. It's so expensive. Shaun: I don't like that they've, I like that they've started doing the shorter timeframes to pick it up. Barry: Yo, they have the the on I'm on the way feature now is the best. Well yeah, but that wasn't always a feature. no, I was I didn't I don't do that. You gotta pay extra money. I was gonna say you gotta pay extra money for that. Yeah. That's why I'm trying to No, it just costs Shaun: I've been using that. But I'm saying like where you can get it in like the rapid, like the rapid pickup. They've got that now. But freaking eight dollars, bro. Yeah. My target doesn't cost extra money for me to do it in two hours. Barry: a stupid amount to begin with. I was gonna say they just hit you hard with the items. Jen: Just each item, yeah. Shaun: no. I feel like sometimes I go back and forth and they're about the same. It just depends on what it is that you're Jen: Yeah. Hm Shaun: buying. Jen: yeah, a hundred percent. Yeah. Barry: I shop at A T B. That's usually where we get our stuff. I could see how Target Jen: I love good H B. Shaun: That's my primary. Barry: would be more a little more convenient on the other side Shaun: Yeah. Barry: sometimes for you. Shaun: A lot of times, Barry: But Started coaching lacrosse yesterday. Helped coach with my youngest. They had a little clinic. Jen: Mm. Okay. Shaun: Practice. Barry: yesterday was a clinic. We start practice next Sunday. But the fall league is only practices. They don't play any games. So it's nice to kind of just introduce them to stuff and get them used to everything. But it's my first time ever coaching lacrosse, so Shaun: Practice? Not a game. Barry: not a game. Talking about practice. Shaun: practice. Jen: talking about practice. Shaun: Are you excited to coach? Barry: yeah, I enjoy coaching. It's a good group of kids. So got me a SipIt yesterday. Jen: It's I'm just saying that membership, I mean, you said you didn't need it. Barry: It's way too much. It's like a big old mug. I don't need that much. I've probably started having an alcohol problem if I drank that much. Jen: You have to fill the whole thing up. Yeah. Shaun: You don't have to drink it all at once. Barry: What I it's a slushie. Shaun: Put it in the freezer. Barry: No, I hate frozen slushies. It's the worst. It's like a ice block. Shaun: Dude, do you- my god. Jen: Like ice cubes, turn it into ice cubes. Pour it in a cube tray. Barry: No. No. Shaun: Just to get you, do Barry: No, the the twenty ounce is perfect. Shaun: you not have a blender? Okay. Barry: Yeah. I it's not worth all that to me, bro. Again, I don't enjoy drinking like that, so Shaun: Where are you drinking right now? And exactly. I don't like drinking like that. Barry: I'm drinking brisk tea with a little something else. It's just something small though. I have one. I have one. Jen: What's in that cup right now? that's good. Mm mm. He said this is keeping the conversation alive, okay? Barry: This is my this is literally my only drink of the day. Shaun: Fair enough. I mean, if this is your one for the day, then you're good. That's Jen: Too funny. Barry: I save it for y'all. I save it for y'all. Shaun: fair. Barry: Y'all get the the funnier version of me. Jen: Perf Shaun: Nice. We like that. We appreciate that. Jen: We love that. Keep it up. Barry: What about you, bro? How was your week? Shaun: My week sucked. My week was freaking terrible. Jen: no. Barry: Mm mm. You did you did come on saying you were s tired. Jen: No Shaun: I am so tired. Jen: What happened? Shaun: First of all, I forgot to tell you all the story, but y'all know that I went out of town for work last week Barry: Mm-hmm. Shaun: and it was really cool. The trip there was really good. The stay was super nice. The hotel that they put me in was awesome. The drive back, I got to ride on the bus with everybody else that drove down that. same day of the event that we were going to. So I rode on the bus back to Austin. Tell me why we're getting off of the bus. I was pretty close to the front. I was sitting with some of the other people that are on my team. Tell me why I got ready to get off of the bus and I couldn't freaking stand up. I'm like trying to stand up and I couldn't stand up. I'm moving every kind of way that I can and I can't do it. I reach my hand, Jen: Like are your legs moving? Shaun: my legs are moving, legs are fine. No, no. Barry: I was like, do you not have feeling or something? Okay. Jen: Yeah. Shaun: I reach my hand back to the side and my belt loop is stuck on something. I can't see what it is. I can't twist far enough because it's stuck. Barry: it's just like one of those most inconvenient like Shaun: Most inconvenient, super embarrassing. Barry: Hmm. Shaun: I'm like, my God, I can't get up. Jen: We love this moment for me. Barry: Same bro. Shaun: God, so I'm like, the only way I can get up, there's one of two things that are gonna have to happen. I'm gonna have to like rip my pants, take Barry: Just gonna have to rip it, bro. Rip the belt loop. Mm-hmm. Jen: Mm. Shaun: my pants off or figure out Barry: Watch out. Shaun: some kind of way of getting out Jen: Can't be doing that one. Shaun: of here. So I'm like trying to rip it and shout out Levi's because these things are Barry: Y'all's belt loops are solid. Jen: Quality material. Shaun: not moving, like not moving at all. So. Jen: Not so funny. Barry: I bet I bet you can't get much like leverage or force from like being like just that close to it or whatever it is. Yeah. Jen: Yeah. Yeah. Shaun: Not at all. Not on a freaking belt loop and it's that close. Barry: Mm-hmm. Shaun: So I'm like, all right, I had my bag because I stayed overnight. So I was like, Hey, can somebody go get my bag? It's like right over there. I can see it. So they went and got it and I had my knife in there. So I cut the belt loop and I look and it's the freaking recliner. Like the recliner for the seat is what my belt loop was stuck on. So I had Jen: That's so ridiculous. Shaun: to cut my jeans to get out of it. Starts Jen: Dang. Shaun: there. We all know that's the beginning. I bought a new set of tires. The reason why I bought a new set of tires is because one of them Barry: that's only the beginning. snap. Shaun: was bad. did that. Took care of that. So excited. I'm super excited. Yeah. Garage smells Jen: You were so excited about your new tires. I'm so sad. Mm-hmm. Barry: You were. The garage was smelling great. Shaun: awesome. So great. But that was the next thing. Fast forward to Friday. Friday? I'm on my way home. I take 130 because 130 is the fastest and the weather was shit. Yeah, because like rain is absolutely everywhere. Guess what happens when I am on my way home? Barry: Yeah, way less traffic. Yeah it was. Yeah, it was. Flat. Blow Jen: Mm-hmm. Yeah, that was bad. Barry: out or flat? Jen: Mm. Shaun: Check engine light. Jen: What? Shaun: Freaking check engine light comes on and I'm driving. my God, dude, I can. Barry: It's always the worst feeling, bro. You don't know what Jen: Mm-hmm. Barry: that money's gonna be to make that thing go Jen: Exactly. Barry: away. Shaun: And I can feel exactly what's happening. Like I Barry: no. Shaun: can feel it. Like Jen: no. Shaun: when I pushed my accelerator or let off of it, I can feel that there's a misfire that's happening. Jen: no. Shaun: So I'm like, well, Barry: Spark plugs? Shaun: no, I'm like, I'm on 130. There's nowhere for me to go. So I've just got to keep pushing. I've got to like get into town. Barry: Get home. Shaun: So I get in, instead of going home, I go to AutoZone and Barry: Mm. Shaun: I'm like, Hey, my checking engine light came on. Can you run the diagnostic real quick? Barry: Yeah, yeah. Shaun: They run it. Sure enough. freaking misfiring cylinder one. So that happened. Fast forward to Saturday. I make it home by Barry: no. Jen: My gosh. Shaun: the way, I get in the car. Absolutely terrible drive. I'm praying the whole time, please don't let anything happen to my car. Barry: Just don't blow up the engine. Jen: Yeah. Yeah. Shaun: So I make it home, everything's good. Saturday, plumbers come. Barry: Dang. no. Shaun: Finally figured out what's going on with my toilets. Jen: Not the toilet again. no. Shaun: I had a clog under my house. Jen: no. Shaun: So he's like, yeah, here's what we can do. We've got a couple of different options. Like we can look at this, we can try this and see what it works. If it doesn't, then we can do this one. Shout out to him too. He was super cool dude. Laid everything out. Expensive as hell, not his fault, but it was expensive. Yeah. Jen: Yeah. Yeah. Barry: Never is, bro. But at least they were helpful. Yeah. Shaun: super helpful. So he's like, Hey, let's, let's try this first. This is going to be the more cost effective option. Yeah. And he was like, if this doesn't work, then we can go to this and I'm not going to charge you Barry: They yeah, I was gonna say they usually work their way up at least. Yeah. Shaun: for the other one because it's just basically added onto it. Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: So was like, all right, cool. So he does that. He goes and he looks, sorry if you can hear ACE he's barking. I don't know what's just happened there. He goes, he looks, he's like, yeah, there's nothing that's happening out here. So it's got to be under the house. I'm like, all right, fine. So he's like, yeah, what I'm going to need to do is remove the toilets so that we can like run the snake down. And well, yeah, he was like, we're just going to go through. We're going to try and like push it out, see if we can get it to clear out for you and we can do it that Barry: Mm the little sonar, right? That's so they can try and clock find the or they just use the video. Mm. Yeah. Yeah. Jen: Line through. Mm-hmm. Shaun: way. So he does it in my primary bathroom. He's flushing, got everything going. He's like, all right, cool. Then he comes to the guest bathroom, does it again. That one still won't go. So he's like, crap. We're going to need to do it again, but I'm not going to charge you for it. I'm just going to like do this as part of the other one, but we're to have to take this one out too so Barry: Sang, it's a nice guy. Shaun: that we can push this one out. So he takes that one out, pushes it, goes through. Everything's good. Super expensive, but it is what it is. I need it to have everything back. Plumbing is good. Barry: s oof. Hey, you got f fresh, clean plumbing, bro. Oof. Jen: You gotta have yeah. Shaun: Fast forward a couple of hours. I'm like, all right, Barry: no. Shaun: now that my plumbing is done, I need to figure out how the hell I'm gonna take care of my car. What am I gonna do? So I'm calling around to the dealerships, trying to get an appointment. Tell me why nobody is freaking answering their phone. It's all fucking AI. I'm so tired of AI. Jen: Yeah, yeah, it's all. Mm-hmm. Barry: Started taking over the world, bro. Shaun: Yes. Jen: Yeah. Shaun: So I'm trying to get an appointment. Can't get anybody on the actual phone. So I'm like, all right, you Jen: Yeah. Shaun: know what? Let me just call back to Austin. So I call the dealership that's down the street from where I work and an actual person answered the phone. I'm like, thank goodness. Jen: Hallelujah Shaun: So I talked to her, get everything all set up. She's like, yeah, we can get you in. Like just bring it as soon as you can. And that's fine. We can get, we can get it taken care of. So get ready to schedule the appointment. And I'm like, I don't know if I should drive it that far because something Jen: Mm. Shaun: might happen. She's like, well, it's still under warranty, so you can reach out to the maker and like have them tow it and do it that way. I'm all right, cool. So I call, I'm like, hey, I need to have my car towed. This is where I'm looking to take it. It's like, well, the coverage only goes 20 miles, so we can't do it. All right, cool. So at this point, I have an appointment in the morning. I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna tow it through my insurance and I'm just gonna do it that because they go 25 miles, but they can add onto it since it's a negotiated rate. And Jen: Mm. Shaun: then I just pay the difference. So I'm like, whatever, let's just do it. So we'll see how many, Barry: Dude, adulting, bro. Shaun: yeah, we'll see how much Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: this ends up costing me, but it is still under warranty. So hopefully the warranty pays for it. Yeah, Barry: E Yeah, so anything that goes wrong, right? Jen: Mm. Yeah. Shaun: I've got two warranties on it. So hopefully one of them will capture or kicks Jen: Kicks in, yeah. Shaun: in and that'll be good. Barry: That should that would be you would think to be under like the mechanical Yew. Shaun: Yeah. So we'll see how that goes. Probably going to Jen: Mm. Shaun: have to get a rental car. We'll see how much that's going to cost me. But that Barry: Okay. Shaun: should hopefully also be covered under warranty. But we'll see. You would think so. So we'll see. Right. And that's why like, I've got 17 days Jen: I was about to say that should be under your warranty too. One can hope. Barry: Yo, nowadays I wouldn't count on it, bro. I would hope for it, but I wouldn't count on it, unfortunately. Jen: Yeah. Shaun: left on my warranty. So I'm glad that it happened now because Barry: Ooh snap. Shaun: that's 17 days Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: left. I got still plenty of mileage left, but the actual days, 17 Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: more. So. Jen: Wild. Yeah, at least it happened before and not after the seventeen days. Barry: Right at the end. Usu usually it's seventeen Shaun: Hopefully everything works out and we'll be good. Barry: days after that joint expires. Shaun: Exactly. Yeah. So that worked out. But yeah, my week has been great. Fantastic. Jen: Yep. Yeah. Hmm. What a doozy. Barry: Thank you. Hey. Shaun: So we'll see. We made it. We made it. Barry: You made it, Shaun You made it. Jen: Shaun before I forget, because my sister asked me to talk to you about it last time and I totally forgot and she got mad at me. calm Shaun: Ooh, what's he talking about? Jen: down, first of all. We've had this discussion before, Shaun. Shaun: I don't know. Jen: Barking up the wrong tree. Anyways. Shaun: No. Jen: Anyways, no, she was listening to the episode where you're talking you're talking about starting a garden and doing all of that. And she got very excited because she's very much in her gardening era. And she said, one, if you want some seeds, let her know. She's got a bunch of seed starters going that she can give you. And she's got a bunch of like just seeds in the bag that she can give you too. So she said let her know. Shaun: Ayyyy... B- Jen: also she wanted to know you mentioned the candles that you get. She wants to know where you got them. She's also a candle gal. Yeah. But she Shaun: I never told you. Okay. Jen: also likes the they're called eighteen three candles. And they're like soy, so they're much better for you because you know s candles, especially Bath and Body Works candles, are like toxic apparently. So these the eighteen three are the ones that she really likes. And she said, Check out. But she would like Shaun: Let me jot that down. 1803. Jen: to know what your candle hookup is. Shaun: I'll say it because technically I Barry: Who your supplier is, bro. Who's your supplier? Shaun: didn't find it. Jen: Yeah. Shaun: Shout out Sarah and AK, they're the ones that put me onto it. But Goose Creek, Goose Creek candles, Jen: Ooh, Goose Creek. Okay. Shaun: they are the bigger three-wick candles smell Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: absolutely wonderful, but they are so much more affordable, let's say, than Bath and Body Works. Jen: Yeah. Then the bath and body works. Mm-hmm. Shaun: Yeah, Bath and Body Works is insanely expensive. That's why, like, I would always wait until it's like their candle time. Yeah. And then Jen: Mm-hmm. Went on sale. Mm-hmm. Yep. Shaun: buy them. But yeah, because Greek is really great. And they also do the same thing. They do the same thing with like the reduced pricing during that time of year. And Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: you can just buy a whole bunch of them. So if she ever wants any, I do Jen: Hmm. We'll check him out. Shaun: have some. I'm pretty sure that I still have some in a box in my closet that have never been opened. Barry: Giving out candles, bro. Shaun: I've got a bunch of them. I'm Jen: Give me a candle, I'll give it to her. Shaun: not I'm not it. Barry: I'm your pusha. Shaun: I'm not at home as much anymore, so I don't have them lit every day. But Barry: I'm your pusha. Shaun's a candle pusher. Jen: Mm, yeah, true. She's a c he's a candle pusher. Shaun: I mean, it is what it is. She's pushing seeds. We all got our we all got our side hustles. It's funny, though, because I just bought Jen: it's so funny. She's pushing seeds, you pushing candles. Listen. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Barry: We all pushin' something, I guess, huh? All pushing something. Shaun: two planters. I think it's going to take them a while for them to get here. I Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: bought two of them a couple of weeks ago, so I'm excited about that for them to come in and put them in the backyard. Jen: You let me know. She's got some seedlings for ya. Shaun: Bits. I actually just got some wildflower seeds this past week. And I'm thinking Jen: Mm. Shaun: about just like spreading those in like a spot that I have in front of my house and just see what happens. Just try it. Jen: Yeah. Yeah, let me know how it goes. Cause I've thought about doing that multiple times in one of our flower beds, just like going crazy with some wildflowers. Cause you just never know in Texas. It's hard to keep Shaun: Yeah. Jen: anything. The only thing I've ever been able to keep in our flower beds up front is Lantana. Everything else has been fried. So Shaun: And that's the thing. mean, I've got like a sprinkler out front. So hopefully if I set it up right, it can help those Jen: Mm-hmm. It helps. Mm-hmm. Shaun: and my tree and we'll be good. So we'll see. And all right, I'll keep you Jen: Crush fingers, let me know. Let me know. Shaun: informed. Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: Yeah, shout out her. I like that. Appreciate it. Appreciate the plug. Jen: Anytime. Shaun: Man, well, I do have a question for you. Something that I feel like I've been going through a little bit of a I don't want to say a midlife crisis, but I looked it up and technically Jen: Mm. Shaun: I am midlife now because the Jen: Okay. Shaun: average life expectancy is like 30 or 30 is like seven is like seventy six and a half years. Barry: Jack. Sounds like an end of life crisis, bro. Jen: Yeah. Really on the edge there. Shaun: I know, right. It's like seventy six and a half years for the average male in the U.S. Barry: Sounds good. I'm down Jen: No, Barry: for that. Seventy six sounds great. Jen: yeah. Thirty five Shaun: So yeah, I'm midlife right now. Yeah, Jen: is midlife, yeah. Shaun: I'm midlife. So I was thinking about it and I was like, you know what? I think I to buy a telescope. Why not? Jen: I love that. Shaun: Just buy a telescope. I live in an area that gets dark enough at night and doesn't have too much light pollution. Yeah, like I could use it and just look at the stars and see what I can find. Barry: Yeah, you're out in the yeah, you are outside the city, yeah. That's true. But Shaun you better only be Jen: Yeah. Yeah. Barry: looking at the stars, Jen: I love that. Barry: bro. Don't be peeking in these people's houses for I know you, Shaun No Shaun: Okay, who do you think I am, dude? I Jen: Why you putting his business out there like that on the internet? Ding. Shaun: don't like these accusations. That's Jen: That's your friend. Shaun: disgusting. I would never do that. Barry: I'm just messing. I don't think you would Jen: So funny. Barry: either, Shaun Shaun: No, but like, so I was thinking about it and I started looking them up. Some of them get friggin expensive. Yeah, there were a couple of them that were like, Barry: Yeah, telescopes are insane. Jen: yeah. Like if you try to get like a good one, for sure. Barry: Yeah. Shaun: yeah, they were like four or $5,000. I'm like, no, I'm not that interested in seeing stars. Yeah, not that kind of a hobby, Jen: Mm-hmm. Barry: No, bro. Heck no. Hell to the no. Jen: I do want a hobby, but maybe not that. Shaun: but it got me thinking. Jen: But you can get some cheaper ones and still see really cool things. Shaun: Yeah, I was thinking about that too. Just something that you can actually see with. Jen: Mm-hmm. Shaun: That'll be Barry: Yeah. Shaun: good enough. But it did have me start to think, what is more terrifying, the ocean or space? Because both of them, we don't know a whole lot about either one of them. So what do you think? Jen: Iny meeny miny mo. Shaun: Yeah, go for it. Jen: I hate the ocean. I it terrifies me, haunts my dreams. I think space is cool, and I don't know why I would pick space over the ocean. The ocean is a scary place. Barry: As being more terrifying. Jen: Yes, a hundred percent. Barry: No, you're crazy. Shaun: Barry, do you think space? Barry: Space. Black holes Jen: Yeah, for sure. But there's no black holes around us. That's true. Barry: can literally devour b okay, at this point. Shaun: holes. Yet. Barry: The ocean is gonna be irrelevant if we get sucked into a black hole. Yeah, no. Space Jen: Mm-hmm. True, true. Barry: is way more terrifying. And we are it is. I would agree with that. Shaun: But the ocean is here, and it makes up, what, 70 Jen: Yeah. Yeah. Shaun: % of the Earth or something like that? Jen: But isn't space here, you know? Like aren't we literally just a floating ball in space? We just hanging out here. Barry: I mean we're a speck of dust in space. We are dust. We are Shaun: We're just in space. Barry: dust on dust in dust amongst Shaun: Yeah. Barry: a whole bunch of it. Shaun: If you think about how, which is crazy to think about, like how small we actually are in the grand scheme of space. Barry: That's what I'm saying, bro. Yeah. No. Jen: Yeah. Barry: Yeah. Jen: Yeah. Barry: Yes, we are ants. Shaun: But there are also... Jen: We're smaller than Nan, so we're yeah. Microscopic organisms. Barry: I was gonna say we're not even that big. Yes, no. Shaun: There are also species of fish and other types of animals in the ocean that Barry: We've never ever seen. Shaun: we've never seen. And what's to prevent them from just coming out one day? Jen: Exactly. Like w there's so much of the ocean that we haven't explored or d like yeah. Barry: Mm, yeah. Jen: No thanks. Shaun: They've acclimated to the dark and the cold and the pressure and everything. How Barry: They couldn't come. They couldn't come out of that. Shaun: do we know that? Jen: Yeah. Barry: 'Cause they're they're acclimated to that. Shaun: But how do we know that they can't? I feel like we don't know. The same way with space, we don't know that there aren't other life forms in space. Jen: Or that they won't. Barry: I mean we don't necessarily know, but I don't know. Just the vastness of space and what we do know Shaun: Yeah. Barry: about space scares me. If somebody could show me something in the ocean that was more scary than a black hole, sure. But I don't think that exists that we know of yet. Not to say that it couldn't, but I don't know. A black hole is pretty terrifying when you think about what it really does. Shaun: Did you know that they're trying to recreate a black hole in the lab? Why do we do most of the things we do? Barry: Yeah, I don't really enjoy the thought of that either. No. No. No. Yeah, I mean it's just like AI. Why would we create Jen: Yeah, why would we even play with that? Like why would we attempt to do such a thing when we know what happens? Barry: the thing that could take us out? I don't know. Let's just see what happens and let it go unregulated. Shh, let's just let it go. Jen: No slowing it down now. We're already here. Barry: Exactly, Shaun. Shaun: I'm Barry: Exactly. Jen: Hmm. Hmm. Shaun: just saying, I don't know. I don't Barry: No, a black holes scare me, bro. Shaun: know the answer to that question. Jen: Yeah, placoles for sure are terrifying when you sit there and think about but Shaun: I mean, like, even not even thinking about a black hole like a meteor or an asteroid or something like that. Jen: yeah. And they say Barry: Like Armageddon, what are we talking about? Like a genormous Jen: all the time, like, this or when they Shaun: Hmm. Jen: talk about how big of like the size of a meteor hitting Earth and how much impact it would have, and it's like, not very big. Yeah. We don't need that much to take us all out. Barry: Yeah, and how much damage it would do. We don't need that much, no. Mm mm. No. Shaun: Yeah, it could be catastrophic. Yeah. Yeah. Jen: And then they're like, meteor shower next Tuesday. Like, okay. Barry: I mean those aren't Shaun: Go Barry: coming close. Shaun: watch. Barry: Yeah, that's interesting. Like you said, Jen Jen: Yeah. Barry: the space is interesting. But it's also terrifying. Jen: Yeah. I don't know. I think there's just Shaun: out. Jen: a disconnect from my brain of like space is this other thing that is a far away from me, even though we are sitting in on a ball in space. Yeah, th there's like distance there, whereas the ocean is very much right there. And yeah. Barry: I mean it's yeah, I get you. It seems almost unrealistic. Yes. Yeah. It is. We're on we are part of it. It's no. I get the fear Shaun: over. Barry: of the ocean. Like yeah, but Shaun: Or even just thinking about what if something happened to the sun? Like if something hit the sun and it... we're done. Yeah. In seconds. Barry: Mm. That's a sp yeah. We out. Frozen. Ice age. Jen: we die. We we out. Frozen. Yeah. Shaun: Yeah. Barry: Mm-hmm. Jen: I mean I guess that's a good thought of like at least with a black hole or something like that, it's just, you know, we're done. Yeah. Goodbye. Yeah. Barry: It's over. Blink of an eye. We don't see our pending doom coming at us. Jen: Yeah. Exactly. Shaun: Yeah. Jen: In the ocean, a shark can sit there and just slowly eat me. Shaun: Very true. Barry: Yeah. I'm if I don't go in the ocean, Jen: Mm. Barry: I have nothing to be scared of, Jen. That's easy. Shaun: You're not going to space, you can still have things that happen here that you could be scared of. Barry: S I like she just said, a black hole. I don't have control over a black hole sucking us up and devouring us. I can't have zero I can control going into Shaun: Whoa. Barry: all of that. Shaun: What kind of Jen: Mm. Shaun: black hole is this? Barry: One that don't care, Shaun One that don't care. Jen: Lord Shaun: Have you ever been swallowed up? Did you see that? Barry: Swallowed and devoured, bro. Shaun: I think that was TD Jakes that said that. Have you Jen: Mm. Barry: is that what he said? Swallowed up? No. But no. I Shaun: ever been swallowed up? God. I don't know. Barry: would say space. That's just me. I could see the two Shaun: Yeah, I don't, I actually don't have an answer for it because both of them are terrifying to me. Jen: Yeah. Both are very much terrifying. Yeah. Barry: Yeah, so I was gonna say I could see the ocean being like, yeah, the thought of going down to where the pressure would crush you, that's insane. No, thank you. Shaun: Yeah. Jen: Yeah. But I guess I guess that's kind of the nice thing too is like if you were in that type like rest their souls but well like the people that went down in the submarine and the and imploded. my gosh, yes, wild. It is crazy. Yeah. It's been it's been out for a while. Barry: That type of situation. No, I know what you're saying. Yeah, have you watched that documentary, bro? Yo, it's crazy. Yeah, it's on Netflix, I think. It's pretty good. Shaun: I haven't what I didn't even know that there was a dog. What was it called to discover? What was it called? Barry: I forget what the the Titan. Titan submersible. I don't know what the documentary's Jen: The something with a T Titan. yes. Shaun: of the Titan. Barry: call, but it's crazy. There was some delusion in these people, bro. Some delusion. Jen: Yeah, it is wild. Especially like all the the safety things. Yeah. Like all the safety things they just kept ignoring. It's wild. And now Barry: Yeah. Jen: people have lost their lives a bit. But it that is some sort of solace. It's like it happened instantly. So like they didn't feel pain. Barry: I hope. I hope not. Jen: Yeah. Shaun: You hope not what? I was like, you hope that they didn't die instantly? I was like, my God, man. Barry: That they didn't feel pain. Yeah. Jen: that they didn't suffer p feel yeah, feel pain or like said, wait a minute. Barry: No no no no no heck no. I hope anybody goes just instant. I mean now that I know how it feels to drown in coffee, I mean I know what Shaun: PFFT! Barry: that feeling, you know? Jen: That coffee bite's back, y'all. Better watch out. Barry: I kits you. So I know what that feels like. I wouldn't Shaun: man. Barry: want anybody to feel what I felt before I passed out. I know that. Jen: that's too funny. Mm mm. Shaun: Dang, I actually made a coffee Barry: No, I hope it was painless. Shaun: this morning. I didn't even think about that. That's hilarious. Goodness. It's hilarious. It's freaking hilarious. Jen: That's so funny. I mean it's not funny, but it's funny. Mm mm. Barry: Better watch it. Better watch it. Jen: No. Barry: But yeah. I'm here. I'm still here. Kicking Shaun: Our boy is still with us though, so we're good. Yes, ma'am. Jen: Wild. He's still here. Barry: it. Shaun: Well, I do have another, I guess, revelation that I have. I feel like this week has been very like Barry: Ooh, a revelation. Shaun: insightful for me. I told you, I think this is why. That was Jen. Jen has that question. Jen: You've gone through a lot, yeah. It's a heavy week. Yeah. I mean, but listen, it tracks with Barry: Yo. Questioning all what the meaning of life is, bro. that was Jen. Jen: your week. I mean Shaun: it definitely does. But I don't know. But I was thinking about the conversation that we had last time. Barry: my goodness, bro.
