- 0:02On in the grip of oppression.
- 0:06I fought for my liberty.
- 0:10I paid with the blood of my people.
- 0:14Freedom has never been free.
- 0:18Now my doors always open.
- 0:23To dreamers and prisons.
- 0:27When I'm attacked I protect and deeper.
- 0:35Because my name is America.
- 0:39Hey, hello, everyone, and welcome.
- 0:42This is Karen Schoen.
- 0:43You are listening to the Prism of America's Education, brought to you on the America Outloud.news network.
- 0:52Folks, today's show is really going to be a lot about Florida politics, because everybody is talking about how wonderful Florida is.
- 1:04And it's wonderful for certain things, not for others.
- 1:08But they don't take into consideration a lot of the challenges that we have, especially those people that are coming from other states because you're so used to that tight grip that even a little looseness, you feel like, oh my goodness, look at all this freedom.
- 1:26Well, we have a lot of challenges, and one of my issues is we keep on saying we don't want to vote for rhinos, and yet who are we voting for?
- 1:36Rhinos.
- 1:37Doesn't make sense.
- 1:39We say we want to improve our schools, so we build new buildings.
- 1:45How does that help the kids learn?
- 1:47They're still graduating, uh, and they can't read, write, and do math.
- 1:53And now we have introduced AI, and our uh candidate that seems to be the front runner, although I really don't know.
- 2:04Uh that we'll talk about later.
- 2:06But Byron Donald's wants to put AI in the schools, and I am very much opposed to that.
- 2:14Technology is a wonderful thing, but it's a tool to help you learn.
- 2:19It should not be your lifestyle where everything that you do must come with some approval of a handheld device.
- 2:28And this is a big problem that I see as we are progressing.
- 2:33Well, we're very fortunate to have Ryan Kennedy from the Florida Citizens Alliance, a wonderful organization that's totally focused on bringing quality education, and especially through homeschooling to our kids because folks uh hate to say this as a former teacher, but the children that have been homeschooled are far superior in their knowledge and abilities and skills than those that are going to public school.
- 3:04So we have to make the changes because nobody else is going to do that.
- 3:08And Ryan has been running to Tallahassee and also to DC to be part of group that are trying to help people understand what AI is really all about and how we really don't want this technology as our lifestyle.
- 3:28Ryan, thank you so much for joining me today.
- 3:30It's always wonderful to find out what the alliance is up to and what bills we have to pay attention to.
- 3:38So thank you.
- 3:39Yes, thank you.
- 3:40Thank you, Karen, for having me on.
- 3:42And yes, as you mentioned, uh, I was uh fortunate enough to be invited by uh two organizations, uh, you know, in fighting for good policy related to children's access to AI.
- 3:57Um, and and like you said, doing it the right way in the sense that making sure kids have foundational skills before they're introduced to something that quite frankly can do their thinking for them if if they so want to with AI, and so the two groups at the national level invited me up to DC last week.
- 4:15We actually were there.
- 4:16We had the largest gathering of parents that had kids that uh had been affected by AI.
- 4:23Their children have been affected by AI in the country's history.
- 4:26There were 60 plus parents there, and uh, and so you know it was great to be up there working on that policy, but now we have a fight here in Florida.
- 4:37Um we are we are discussing how to navigate forward with AI, and the governor DeSantis has called a special session on that topic.
- 4:47Uh he wants to pass the AI Bill of Rights.
- 4:49It didn't get done at the end of the last session, but we believe that this is important and needs to be passed.
- 4:56I couldn't agree more, and it cannot be allowed to take over, giving kids uh iPads or having them sit in front of a computer all day.
- 5:09That becomes the teacher, and that interaction is never real.
- 5:13And also, Ryan, we have to remember who programmed these programs, who created them.
- 5:20Do we have the same values that they have?
- 5:22Who knows?
- 5:23We have no idea of knowing.
- 5:25So you are correct.
- 5:27We have to give the kids and make sure that they have the skills before they sit down at a computer, and they should be using the computer to maybe enhance their work that they have already done, not do their work for them.
- 5:42Yep, no doubt.
- 5:43And one of the things I always tell uh people when I'm on a show being interviewed is you know, the studies, recent studies on AI, and you know, one of them is 93% of parents are concerned about AI being used in a classroom or at their child school.
- 5:59So that that's a high number.
- 6:00That's a bipartisan number.
- 6:0293%.
- 6:04Uh, you know, when do you see 93% of people agreeing on something nowadays?
- 6:08You you don't.
- 6:09Um, another one, 77% of voters prefer a candidate who protects minors over one who wants no AI restrictions again.
- 6:17That's 77%.
- 6:19That's well over a supermajority, and so these two statistics paint a picture, which is that most people want this.
- 6:27This is a there's a very bipartisan issue because we understand and have always respected that children are our most precious gift, and we need to make sure they're raised the right way, and we need to make sure that they have skill sets to critically think and be able to make decisions, and AI should be used as a chance to uh enhance their skill set, not make it worse.
- 6:52Yes, and folks, let's remember what is AI mean, it's artificial intelligence, it's not real intelligence, it's somebody else's that they are putting that value on your child.
- 7:00Intelligence.
- 7:01It's not real intelligence.
- 7:03It's somebody else's that they are putting that value on your child.
- 7:10You don't want your child to rely on something that is artificial, not real.
- 7:10You don't want your child to rely on something that is artificial, not real.
- 7:15You want them to rely on facts.
- 7:15You want them to rely on facts, and the only way they're gonna get them is if you teach how to seek them, how to find them, where they're located, and incorporate those into their work, not something that's artificial.
- 7:18And the only way they're going to get them is if you teach how to seek them, how to find them, where they're located and incorporate those into their work, not something that's artificial.
- 7:30Ryan, what can we look forward to in Tallahassee that during this special session?
- 7:36Are there bills that we should be looking at?
- 7:39Yeah.
- 7:40So uh so far, the governor has called for the special session on and include our uh the the AI Bill of Rights.
- 7:47That was a bill last uh that didn't pass last session, like I said.
- 7:51What was in it was a couple really good things.
- 7:53One is that it restricted uh making sure parents had to allow their children to use AI.
- 7:58That's great.
- 7:59Uh, that's that's across the board, even outside of school.
- 8:02Within the school environments, what it did was even better, which in the sense it created data privacy protections for those students.
- 8:09It made sure parents had to opt your child in to use it first.
- 8:13And it made sure that you know AI can't, I mean, there's been so many cases.
- 8:17There was one that just came out at about AI being used in criminal activities, and so it may it make sure that AI can't be telling young uh minors that you know it's okay to to harm themselves, it's okay to arm harm others.
- 8:32Those are some of the common sense restrictions that this bill will put in place, not to get rid of AI, but to make sure that children are protected.
- 8:39So, what I encourage the audience to do is contact the leadership um in in both chambers, you know, the speaker, center president, let them know that you support good guardrails on AI.
- 8:51This is one of the most important things.
- 8:53Uh the more the more AI becomes uh part of our daily lives.
- 9:00I I think it's probably possible that the more information, negative information is going to come out about it, because the reality is is that like you said, a lot of these models are a lot of these companies are are designed by people that don't have the same uh worldview as us.
- 9:15Oh, you're absolutely right.
- 9:17And before your child gets involved, you should learn what they're learning.
- 9:23You're the parent, and you should be the ones that should be able to monitor safely and comfortably so that you know what your child is being taught, where their information is coming from.
- 9:36And sadly, we don't do that.
- 9:39We are allowing the school to become the parent, and that's never a good thing.
- 9:44It does not work, and who knows what values the school is giving to your child.
- 9:52We still have in Florida districts that don't tell their parents if the child wants to change their sex, and we have laws that say they can't do that, but that doesn't matter if the laws are not enforced.
- 10:07And the only way the laws can be enforced is if we pay attention to them and call for them to be enforced.
- 10:13So challenging and looking at what AI is bringing to the child is what you should be doing.
- 10:20And bottom line, we're paying for that, aren't we, Ryan?
- 10:24Yep, yes, correct.
- 10:25No, no, public schools, even public charter schools, all charter schools in Florida are public.
- 10:30All public schools are funded by our taxpayer dollars, about depending on your county, 50% roughly of your property tax goes to school districts.
- 10:38So, you know, this is something we pay for.
- 10:41Um, well, I will I will give a shout out to our attorney general.
- 10:45He he has opened up investigations into open AI, which is the largest uh chat bot AI service in in the country, uh, based on some of the stuff that's gone on.
- 10:57But again, you're right.
- 10:59You you, as parents, you as citizens have to be the ones also calling for um for action to be taken.
- 11:06The thing to do, I believe, is to go to your school board meetings.
- 11:12Um recently at the school board meeting uh in my district, uh they discussed all the wonderful buildings that they're building for the kids.
- 11:21I think that's fabulous.
- 11:22And I think the kids should have a comfortable place to learn, but they're not learning.
- 11:27So what's the point?
- 11:29And that's up to us to monitor what goes in because what goes in is what comes out, and we certainly want to make sure that we are creating the best child possible, your best child possible.
- 11:45So just like everything else, I I tell you when your child comes home from school, don't say go do your homework and then not look at what they're doing.
- 11:56It's so important that you pay attention to what they are doing and what they are saying, isn't it, Ryan?
- 12:03Yes, yes, definitely is.
- 12:04Yes.
- 12:05You I always tell parents, you know, I especially this topic of AI because a lot of parents are unsure of what to make of it.
- 12:12Yes, you got to know what your child is doing.
- 12:15Um, if you just you know, if you just give your child a computer or a smartphone and and let them do what they want, they're gonna they're gonna end up uh involved in bad things.
- 12:26It's statistically, it's proven.
- 12:29Um you have to you have to be on the lookout and especially be on the lookout, even in public schools, because again, you know, the school district, you know, especially they're not there to there be parents and and this and and they shouldn't be parents.
- 12:44That that should be the job of parents.
- 12:46And so um, yes, please pay attention.
- 12:50Okay, so you have homework, folks, it's school time, and that would be the contact, which I will get you the phone numbers of the heads of our Congress.
- 13:02Uh Perez is the speaker of the House and all Britain, Ben All Britain is the president of the Senate, and those are the ones that you should be targeting.
- 13:13And remember, folks, they work for us.
- 13:16But if we don't tell them what to work, they're not gonna do it.
- 13:19So we have to make sure that they are on target, same thing.
- 13:24We all have the same mindset that AI is a tool, not a lifestyle.
- 13:30Ryan, tell everybody where they can find you and the great organization of the Florida Citizens Alliance.
- 13:36Yes.
- 13:37So uh our website is Goflca.org.
- 13:41Um, we we are 501c3 and a C4.
- 13:44We we have a lot of great information here on AI on our website and also our our microschool initiative, um, what we're doing to help kids.
- 13:52You can find us on all the major social media platforms if you use them.
- 13:56So um, but uh the best place to start is go flca.org.
- 14:01Okay, thank you.
- 14:01Okay, thank you.
- 14:02And as always, thank you for your information.
- 14:02And as always, thank you for your information.
- 14:05And let's monitor what's going on in this special session.
- 14:05And let's monitor what's going on in this special session.
- 14:08And uh, since you are going to be in Tallahassee, am I correct?
- 14:08And since you are going to be in Tallahassee, am I correct?
- 14:12Yes.
- 14:12Yes, yes, I will be there, and I will be there until we have a sense for what's gonna happen.
- 14:13Yes, I will be there.
- 14:14And I will be there until we have a sense for what's going to happen.
- 14:19Oh, good.
- 14:19Oh, good.
- 14:20So you'll be able to come back and tell us what's happening and the reception.
- 14:20So you'll be able to come back and tell us what's happening and the reception.
- 14:24And that is uh part of the problem is that we say something and they don't listen.
- 14:24And that is a part of the problem is that we say something and they don't listen.
- 14:29And that's because our voices are not loud enough and strong enough.
- 14:33So we've got to make sure that that's possible.
- 14:35That happens continually.
- 14:38You got to monitor the people that work for you, folks.
- 14:41You can't expect everybody to do everything the way you want if you don't tell them.
- 14:45Thank you so much, Ryan.
- 14:47I appreciate it as always.
- 14:48And uh, we will see you when you come back, folks.
- 14:51Go FLCA.org.
- 14:54It really irks me to listen to all of these newbies who have just moved to Florida, tell us how wonderful Florida is when they really have no clue.
- 15:07They don't speak to Floridians, they don't speak to the people who have been here for the longest of time.
- 15:13They don't speak to the people who are actually working trying to correct some of the mistakes that have been made and some of the bad policies that have been put in place.
- 15:24They're not paying attention.
- 15:26The question that I always ask is if we don't want rhinos, why do we keep on voting for them?
- 15:32And right now, Tallahassee, Florida's Capitol, where our Congress meets, is full of rhinos.
- 15:41So I have asked two very dear friends, Ed Vidal, who works incredibly on anything election integrity, and Cindy Lucas, who has been working with new candidates.
- 15:56And we're going to be talking about some of the things that we're experiencing because what goes on in Florida seems to be filtering through to other states.
- 16:07And we can't allow that to happen without you guys knowing what's going on.
- 16:11So we'll start off with you, Ed.
- 16:14Um, you have been working on election integrity, and we have a big problem in Florida because it seems to me as though we'll get together a really great bill, and then part of it gets passed.
- 16:26And the good part that we really need doesn't get passed.
- 16:31Am I right?
- 16:32Absolutely.
- 16:33And uh I've been fighting this since uh after the 2020 election.
- 16:37I realized that uh it wasn't enough to vote, and I was uh very active as a poll watcher.
- 16:43Uh, but then I joined our local Republican executive committee, and I was named vice chairman of the election integrity subcommittee.
- 16:52And we continued with that until we finally broke away from the REC because we realized that they were not uh committed to election integrity either.
- 17:02And that's what's happening.
- 17:03It's not just the Democrats.
- 17:04I mean, clearly the Democrats uh are not uh supporters of election integrity.
- 17:09So I've heard people say that election integrity should be a nonpartisan issue.
- 17:14It's not the Democrats are committed to no voter ID, they're committed to vote by mail, they're committed to just creating a lot of uh dysfunction around voting.
- 17:26But the sad thing is that the Republicans and Republicans who are otherwise very good, including going all the way up to Governor DeSantis, either don't care or participate in the collusion and in in the in the sordid uh maneuverings that go on.
- 17:44And this week, uh this last weekend for the month of April, we had our monthly lunch meeting of the election integrity brigade in Miami Dade County, and we had a very strong candidate for U.S.
- 17:56Senate.
- 17:56His name is uh you probably know uh Chris Gleason, and he is on election integrity Maven.
- 18:03He has been fighting this, and he is very knowledgeable in computers and data analysis, and he showed us all the evidence that you know that even at the smallest levels, you can't rely on what's coming out of your supervisor of elections.
- 18:19Uh, you can't rely on the Secretary of State.
- 18:23For example, here in Coral Gables, there was an election uh just off on some uh uh amendment ratifications, Coral Gables, which real estate professionals called the new Beverly Hills.
- 18:36Uh, there it there was an election on charter amendments, and it was completely conducted by vote by mail without people asking for vote by mail.
- 18:45According to Florida statute, no voter, registered voter may receive a vote by mail ballot unless he requests it.
- 18:53But in this case, it was sent to everyone, every registered voter, some 37,000.
- 18:59And the problem with that is that that is unlawful, and it opens the door for the for continuing vote by mail.
- 19:07I think we've seen there's a lot of fraud in that vote by mail, and Chris Gleason confirmed that, and I this is something I had seen before, and I had uh uh advised the Secretary of State about it, that there were there are times when during uh an election, all of a sudden a big order for vote by mail ballots, like 100,000, 90,000 are made to happen in the election for county mayor, and I've seen it in other elections, and I've reported it to the Secretary of State Office of Ec of Election Crimes, and they haven't done anything.
- 19:41They are totally paralyzed, they they're just there for the cover, they're not really there to do any uh actual enforcement of election integrity.
- 19:51So essentially we can have the greatest laws in the world, and nobody is there to enforce them.
- 19:57Right, and we don't even have the greatest laws in the world to begin with.
- 20:00So, yeah, it's the it's the Republican establishment's fault.
- 20:04They don't care about it, they're part of the collusion.
- 20:07It it helps them keep track uh control of the Republican Party and keeps all the dissidents, independent-minded conservative grassroots members of the party away.
- 20:19It's just one of the tools that they use.
- 20:21This is the problem that we have, folks.
- 20:23And you made a comment in the beginning that the Republican Party in Florida is virtually useless, and I agree with you because what I have seen is that in special elections, they're no place, so they're out there collecting money, and every day, almost every day, I get an email asking for money, and yet when it comes to an election, nobody's home.
- 20:52Contribute only to the candidate, not to the party.
- 20:56And a couple of examples here in in Miami.
- 20:59Back in March, there was a runoff for the mayor of Miami.
- 21:00There was a runoff for the mayor of Miami.
- 21:02It had been a Republican mayor for around 30 years.
- 21:02It had been a Republican mayor for around 30 years, and the Democrat uh won the election and won it handily.
- 21:07And the Democrat uh won the election and won it handily.
- 21:10And the the local Republican Party helped the Republican Party not at all.
- 21:10And the local Republican Party helped the Republican Party not at all.
- 21:15They didn't do anything for them.
- 21:15They didn't do anything for them.
- 21:17For example, poll watchers on election day.
- 21:17For example, poll watchers on election day.
- 21:20The Democrats had 49 poll watchers in the city of Miami, including the chair chairwoman of the Democrat uh uh party.
- 21:20The Democrats had 49 poll watchers in the city of Miami, including the chair chairwoman of the Democrat uh party in in the county, as well as their former candidate who lost, thankfully, uh, for supervisor of elections.
- 21:37The Republican candidate had one poll watcher, and that was me going around for to like a dozen places.
- 21:44My wife was driving me, and I was covering a dozen places.
- 21:48Here they had four Democrats had 49 in place poll watchers that were there all day.
- 21:54And that was just that was back in December.
- 21:56Now, this week, the Republican executive committee here in Miami Dade County hosted an event to meet Boris Johnson, former prime minister of United Kingdom.
- 22:08Well, let me tell you, well, first of all, the people who went said there was no political anything about it.
- 22:13There was no learning, no lessons to be learned.
- 22:15Boris Johnson is a big loser.
- 22:18He won a big election.
- 22:20People were bouncing back from uh Jeremy Corning and uh and labor.
- 22:24And so he won a big election, and then he squandered his lead.
- 22:29He had to leave, resigned from the premiership with time left on his term because he was so incompetent during COVID.
- 22:38He is a loser.
- 22:40And in fact, in England, they call uh what we call rhinos, they they call Tinos, Tories in name only.
- 22:48And that's what he was.
- 22:49And so to bring in a guy like Boris Johnson to show off and to, you know, whatever, uh, learn from him, uh uh excite the troops.
- 23:01That's ridiculous.
- 23:02That's nothing.
- 23:02It's just it's totally for show.
- 23:04They did it at the Biltmore Hotel and Coral Gables.
- 23:08The REC here is uh a social club, not a political organization.
- 23:13And then the excuse that we get when we lose and we say, What happened?
- 23:18Where was the money?
- 23:19Where is the money that we've been giving you?
- 23:22The excuse that we get is well, he wasn't a strong candidate.
- 23:26I'm sorry, that's not the answer.
- 23:29Uh Cindy, you have been um, you have been interviewing candidates.
- 23:36What experience do you have with some of the well the everybody is pushing Byron Donald's and they're pushing Paul Remer, Jay Collins, three rhinos in a row, and yet we have uh several good candidates, which the to me the problem is going to be there's going to be so many people on the field that the rhino is going to win.
- 24:05That's what they do, isn't it, Cindy?
- 24:07Yes, it is.
- 24:07That's what they're doing in South Carolina, too, with Lindsay Graham.
- 24:11But here's the good news.
- 24:12There was about 600 people that showed up for the fishback event.
- 24:16They were all young, they were all smart, they knew the issues.
- 24:20Right now, I'm going to be sending group text messages out to thank them.
- 24:24I have their telephone numbers.
- 24:26I don't see any other candidate.
- 24:27Yesterday, uh Fishback said he is not going to have any state contracts with Palantir.
- 24:34I'm sorry, but the older people, I guess they're us.
- 24:37They're stupid.
- 24:39The Republican club had renner.
- 24:41I mean, I've got so much information on renner.
- 24:43I don't even know why anybody would vote for him.
- 24:46Byron Donald's Collins.
- 24:48I mean, this is this is very serious.
- 24:52Because they're going to go after our speech.
- 24:54And I don't know if you saw that.
- 24:55They were, it was pretty appalling.
- 24:58That young girl in college down there in Miami, maybe Ed knows.
- 25:01She said something.
- 25:02I mean, I don't even know what she said, but you know, come on, it's the first amendment.
- 25:05What we're fighting is the donor class, and we're fighting the establishment.
- 25:09And you're right.
- 25:10But the money is just so Donald Trump at the inauguration had all the technos there.
- 25:16Palantir is tied to JD Vance.
- 25:19They moved their company to Miami.
- 25:21They're going to have the flock cameras everywhere.
- 25:23We're headed towards, that's what we're headed to.
- 25:26Fishback spoke about it.
- 25:28People sitting there in those chairs, those kids with young babies.
- 25:32I'm talking babies.
- 25:34One girl had two baby twins and was pregnant.
- 25:38They came with their children.
- 25:40They don't want to live like that.
- 25:43They want their freedom.
- 25:44And no one is offering any freedom or conservation for the land and saying no.
- 25:51He said, we're getting rid of BlackRock, we're getting bullied Blackstone.
- 25:55We're going to do something about private equity.
- 25:57I mean, if you in Martin County, I mean, the veterinarians are getting bought up by private equity.
- 26:03They've sold our land.
- 26:04He started out his speech because Chris Collins, who's a very, very good, we have some really good people in Martin County.
- 26:13I'm just telling you, and the city is steward.
- 26:15And Chris Collins, I gave the fish back the envelope talking about Bright Line and the Boondoggle that that is.
- 26:25The train.
- 26:26That would be the train, which we're fighting.
- 26:28Okay.
- 26:28Chris talked to him, and he started the program with, which is true.
- 26:33Martin County was the jewel of Florida.
- 26:35We don't have, we have a four-story limit.
- 26:38Maggie Horcella, who was Janet Reno's sister.
- 26:42She was the one that helped write the comprehensive plan many moons ago.
- 26:47That is the reason 95 is way west.
- 26:50And she kept this county from ever overbuilding.
- 26:54We have tremendous land that has been preserved between Jupiter and Stuart.
- 27:01That is all done by Nat Reed from Jupiter Island, who finally I'm going to ask you to hold that thought, Ed and Cindy.
- 27:09We have to take a break.
- 27:12And we will be right back right after the break.
- 27:14And let's go into what is actually going on in Florida, folks.
- 27:20Don't listen to everything that you hear because most of it is propaganda.

- 30:04Liberty and justice for all.
- 30:10Hello everyone.
- 30:11Welcome back.
- 30:12This is Karen Schoen.
- 30:13You're listening to the Prism of America's Education, brought to you on the America Outloud.
- 30:21The education is focusing on elections.
- 30:23Folks, you must, must, if you live in Florida, vote in the primary.
- 30:28We have a bad habit of not voting in the primary and in the primary in Florida is basically where you find the winner.
- 30:36The general election usually doesn't make any difference.
- 30:39It's the winner of the Republican primary that usually is the winner.
- 30:44And we are on a mission, and that is to rid Florida of the herd of rhinos.
- 30:50And we have three big rhinos who are running for office.
- 30:54Byron Donald who believes in AI and wants to put it in our schools and growth, growth, grow, grow, grow, grow, grow.
- 31:03Well, that's real nice, but we have no services to provide for these new people that are coming down.
- 31:09So be prepared to sit on the highways for hours to get to some place in 10 minutes.
- 31:15We then have Paul Renner, who gave us the Live Local Act, which basically told the developers, you can build wherever you want and tough on tough on the people that live there.
- 31:27It's going to be the developers' ball game, your decision.
- 31:31He also is not very strong on election integrity.
- 31:36There were several great bills that could have been passed, but they didn't go any place.
- 31:40He was the speaker of the house.
- 31:43And Jay Collins, who is now our lieutenant governor, seems to be after our free speech when he made the comment that said that a person does not have any right to say anything that'll make somebody else feel bad.
- 31:58How absurd is that?
- 32:00So folks, we have a big deal in Florida.
- 32:03And of course, the RPOF Republican Party of Florida is not giving any attention to anybody else other than those guys.
- 32:12And so fortunately, both Ed and Cindy have had the opportunity to interview James Fishback, and they're going to tell us their experiences with them.
- 32:24Cindy, you were speaking before the break.
- 32:27So I'm going to turn it over to you right now.
- 32:29Um, Mr.
- 32:30Pushback came.
- 32:31We had over 600 people.
- 32:34It was, I tried to find a venue, and um the restaurants and places like that.
- 32:39Once they Googled him, oh no, we can't have them.
- 32:41Now mind you.
- 32:43They're gonna go out of business.
- 32:44They have no these are not busy restaurants.
- 32:47So I said, shame on you.
- 32:49So these young people stood in line with their babies, and I mean babies in wagons.
- 32:57We only had 147 seats that was a packed, literally packed.
- 33:02Right now I'm looking at the list.
- 33:04I have phone numbers, and I'm contacting them by text.
- 33:07I already had one person text me back.
- 33:10I have a sheet that's called Young Americans Liberty.
- 33:14V A Liberty.org.
- 33:16Okay.
- 33:17Um, I'm gonna Google that because I didn't even know that existed.
- 33:20Their names on that one.
- 33:22This campaign is run.
- 33:24I can't, I I I've been doing this since Bill Clinton.
- 33:28And I can tell you, I have never met so many good young people staffers.
- 33:33When I got there, I didn't know they were going to come and set up.
- 33:36They set up everything, they were professional, they all thanked me.
- 33:40They all came over.
- 33:40They were like everybody picked up a phone the last two months, putting this together.
- 33:45Everybody called me back.
- 33:47I can't.
- 33:48I mean, I think the team is just a plus.
- 33:52Uh James walked in, uh, introduced himself, thanked me very much, and also thanked me for the fact that I am following him and commenting on X.
- 34:02I gave him an envelope about the boondoggle, which is bright line.
- 34:06Uh, basically how they go bankrupt and they do all kinds of finagling, then they then they come back again, and it's a big long story.
- 34:15So he was very interested in that.
- 34:17A local commissioner came from the city of Stewart Chris Collins, and he opened with uh Martin County, which was once the jewel of Florida, because we do not allow anything more than four story heights limit, and that we were always non-growth, which that has changed.
- 34:35Okay.
- 34:36I'm 100% behind him.
- 34:39Uh, you know, I've read all the things, oh, you know, this and that and the other thing.
- 34:43I I don't care.
- 34:45Uh, he's not a politician, and everybody else is.
- 34:48I mean, Byron Donald's.
- 34:49I met Byron Donald's many years ago.
- 34:52I was asked by somebody on in Naples if he could bring them over, and he did.
- 34:56And we walked and talked for him.
- 34:58That's not the man that I walked and talked for.
- 35:00Walk and talk for.
- 35:01I mean, he's corrupt.
- 35:01I mean, he's corrupt.
- 35:03Um, I also heard about his wife because we have a Hillsdale school here.
- 35:03Um, I also heard about his wife because we have a Hillsdale school here.
- 35:07Uh, they don't call it Hillsdale, but it's a Hillsdale school, whatever it is, you know, charter school.
- 35:07Uh, they don't call it Hillsdale, but it's a Hillsdale school, whatever it is, you know, charter school.
- 35:13She basically has a company that goes and sets it up, his wife, and it's a total failure.
- 35:13She basically has a company that goes and sets it up, his wife, and it's a total failure.
- 35:19And uh, they actually removed her in Martin County.
- 35:19And uh they actually removed her in Martin County.
- 35:23So that's his wife.
- 35:23So that's his wife.
- 35:24So they're they're taking money.
- 35:24So they're they're taking money.
- 35:26I mean, they're taking big money.
- 35:26I mean, they're taking big money.
- 35:27Paul Renner, and I and I will say this.
- 35:27Paul Renner, and I and I will say this.
- 35:30He brought in HB, the anti-Semitism bill.
- 35:34Okay.
- 35:35Ron DeSantis took it over to Israel and signed it.
- 35:38Where did it come from?
- 35:39It came from the ADL.
- 35:41The ADL has gone to every state in the union saying you must have a bill.
- 35:48You know, I don't know why.
- 35:49Um, but this is the bill that Collins said, and I will quote him exactly.
- 35:55You don't have the right to hurt people.
- 35:58He said it on a podcast.
- 36:00And Tucker Carlson now has gone out and came against them because Tucker Carlson lives in Gasparella Island, and he had fish back on.
- 36:09You know, they're one step away from taking our free speech.
- 36:12This is happening in Louisiana this morning.
- 36:15They they were talking about what's going on there, they're redoing the bill, and they're gonna they're gonna go after people.
- 36:20They already did it in with one young girl in college in Miami.
- 36:25I don't know what to say.
- 36:26I mean, you should go to Open Secrets, WW OpenSecrets.org and look and see who the donors are.
- 36:33You can track uh a lot of things is on X, but you need to go there.
- 36:38If you're gonna vote, you need to know where they're getting their money from.
- 36:42And I would say that's probably the best thing to do.
- 36:45Uh that is also the most important thing, folks, because whoever gives them the money are the people that they listen to.
- 36:54Yeah, and this is the problem that we have in the great state of Florida, just like the uh Save America Act, where 80% of the people want it passed, and the Congress says no.
- 37:06Uh, excuse me.
- 37:07Who told you no?
- 37:09We told you yes, and we have that same problem in Florida.
- 37:13Ed, you also interviewed Fishback.
- 37:17Um, and we're very, I know your election integrity.
- 37:21So I'm gonna ask you two questions.
- 37:23One, how do you feel about the election integrity bill that was just passed?
- 37:27And two, what is your take on James Fishback?
- 37:30Well, the election integrity bill uh missed a lot of things that we were trying to get in there, and I think it's a consistent pattern of the Republican establishment to ignore election integrity to claim that we're the gold standard, which we're not.
- 37:44And and they're really, I think using it for their own uh benefit, and uh I think they're part of the cheating as much as the Democrats are.
- 37:52Now, we interviewed Fishback, and I agree with everything that Cindy said about the other candidates, they're all very questionable.
- 38:00I think Donald's is a grifter.
- 38:03Uh he's raised 50 million dollars.
- 38:06He has a lot of bad associations going back to Trayvon Martin and more.
- 38:10He made fun of the J6ers.
- 38:13He he did he does not think that the 2020 presidential election was rigged or stolen.
- 38:19So he has a lot of bad associations.
- 38:21But when you come to Fishback, he's a breath of fresh air, and I like that about him.
- 38:26But first of all, he's got he may have a residence problem, and that he has not resided in Florida for the last seven years.
- 38:34So that's one thing.
- 38:35The other thing is we sent talk about election integrity.
- 38:38We sent him a pledge uh to to work on election integrity prepared by Defend Florida Dead Monks.
- 38:45I think she's from Martin County, and he has not signed it.
- 38:49He did not return it.
- 38:50Uh, others have Renner returned it.
- 38:53So we're we have some questions about Fishbag's commitment to election integrity.
- 38:58There's no question that he appeals to a lot of uh young people who who may be facing a crisis of affordability created by the Democrats.
- 39:08Uh, and so there uh all the Republicans are in power being blamed now.
- 39:12Uh, but one thing to remember we can't, I am not in favor.
- 39:16I'm an immigrant to to Florida twice from Cuba once, and then I my family settled up in Chicago.
- 39:22I worked in New York for a long time, and now I'm semi-retired, so I'm a double immigrant to Florida, and I don't want to stop all uh newcomers, all development.
- 39:32I think there has to be a middle ground where we have new people.
- 39:36But one thing you got to realize, especially in Miami, Miami, the Miami uh Port Lauderdale, West Palm Beach metropolitan area is the only metro area in the Sun Belt that goes from here to Texas to Arizona and up to uh South South Carolina and North Carolina that has lost population in the last five years from 2020 to 2025.
- 40:01And what's happening is that a lot of people are leaving South Florida because it's gotten so expensive, and they're settling in other parts of Florida, like uh maybe not Martin County, but certainly over Charlotte County, Sarasota County, uh on the Gulf Coast.
- 40:18You go up further, maybe the some people are settling in the space coast, but the the population is spreading out.
- 40:26But Miami, the Miami Air metro area is becoming very expensive.
- 40:30And the people that are moving in are paying cash and they have net worths uh that are many times greater than the people that are selling and uh I think reasonably moving out.
- 40:41I I don't live in the same place where I raise my kids because that's too too expensive for me in my retirement.
- 40:47So I think there has to be a balance there.
- 40:50But going back to Fishback, I think he's he he's he's very I agree that he's got a lot of young enthusiastic supporters, but I'm not sold on him yet.
- 40:59I think uh he needs to sign the election integrity pledge that we sent him, and uh uh he has to work out his his uh residential issues because he has not lived in Florida for seven years, and you're right, the donors are are the the big issue, and I think the donors are really where uh Donald's is completely a grifter from what I can tell.
- 41:21He's he's totally for all sorts of things.
- 41:24He also said that he was in favor of having a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens, and when he was challenged on that, he repeated it and he doubled down.
- 41:33So I don't think Donald's he's definitely the choice of the establishment in many respects, but I don't think he would be a good choice for Floridians.
- 41:42No, I happen to agree with you, and folks don't be fooled and don't take on the always white guilt race issue.
- 41:53Oh, yeah, no, no.
- 41:54That they're gonna throw that at us, and they have been doing that already.
- 41:58Oh my goodness, first black, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 42:00Black blah blah blah blah blah.
- 42:02No, first qualified.
- 42:02No, first qualified.
- 42:05Most important is qualification.
- 42:05Most important is qualification, most important is your actions, what you have done, the things that you have said.
- 42:08Most important is your actions, what you have done, the things that you have said.
- 42:14What if it were up to Donald's?
- 42:14What if it were up to Donald's?
- 42:16I would think we would have data centers on every street corner.
- 42:16I would think we would have data centers on every street corner.
- 42:21And what was that gonna mean for us?
- 42:21And what was that going to mean for us?
- 42:24Maybe not on every street corner.
- 42:24Maybe not on every street corner.
- 42:25We can't just block out data centers.
- 42:25We can't just block out data centers.
- 42:27I mean, we can require we can regulate them.
- 42:27I mean, we can record, we can regulate them, we could require them.
- 42:29Require that they bring they have to bring their own electric power so that they don't add to everyone's expense.
- 42:36Maine has said no to all data centers.
- 42:39When you understand what's going to happen, they're going to have all our information there.
- 42:43They're going to use our information.
- 42:45This is all about surveillance, a lot of it.
- 42:48Palantir moved to Miami for a reason.
- 42:51Who gave Palantir?
- 42:53I mean, basically, JD Vance works for them.
- 42:55Okay.
- 42:55I'm not going along with the 2030 plan.
- 42:58And it's coming.
- 42:59And I can tell you, these developers are not good people.
- 43:03They have ruined, ruined Martin County.
- 43:06There are local commissioners have gotten paid off.
- 43:10All the Palm Beach County put a fence around it.
- 43:14Let me explain.
- 43:15I had dinner with the next senator who is the president of the Senate.
- 43:20I've known him for 30 years.
- 43:22And I said to him, you know what?
- 43:24He says, it's terrible now.
- 43:26And it is.
- 43:27It's awful.
- 43:28We don't want this.
- 43:29We never wanted it.
- 43:30They changed the local act so we could, they're forcing it down our throats.
- 43:35And we know what commissioners have gotten paid off.
- 43:37Palm Beach County is a disaster.
- 43:40And the idea that people like Mel Kay is out there, Karen.
- 43:44You ran around talking about Agenda 21.
- 43:46This woman, uh, I'm not going to say what she did for her life.
- 43:50All of a sudden she shows up and she's on all these stages, you know, with Eric Trump.
- 43:54Are you kidding me?
- 43:56It's a 15 minute city.
- 43:58It's a smart city already.
- 44:00It's it's a crime what they have done.
- 44:03And the idea that they want to take the water, and this is not me.
- 44:06This is define defun, defend rural Florida, John Hallman, who I've known for 30 years.
- 44:12Talked to him the other day, they will take that water from up north and drag it down south.
- 44:17They're gonna ruin Florida.
- 44:19Mega City's coming, the Mormons own more land than ever, and they're building a mega city.
- 44:25That's just one.
- 44:26I'm sick of it.
- 44:27You know, I agree with Fishback.
- 44:29Tax the shit.
- 44:30I want to tax the people that are coming down here.
- 44:33You have more than two houses.
- 44:34Why should they have a homestead?
- 44:36Well, I want to agree with you there.
- 44:40And also you are correct about I'm in North Florida, and Ed, when you said people are moving, people are moving up here as well.
- 44:50And I asked my local county commissioners, why do you think people are moving here?
- 44:57You have to think before you accept these developments.
- 45:01Why are they moving here?
- 45:03They're moving here because they want a piece of land, because maybe they want to put a garden in, maybe they don't want to see cement on everything.
- 45:12And that is what is happening.
- 45:14So the same thing that happened years ago, as the people get rich selling their houses in Miami, they come up north, and north is the panhandle of Florida, and they can buy something and have money left over.
- 45:31They can buy it for cash.
- 45:32They have no retirement uh that they have to worry about because they'll have no mortgage.
- 45:37And I see that happening all the time.
- 45:40And what worries me is we have the majority of the natural springs, so we have the purest, cleanest water, and yes, they want to make a pipeline that goes from North Florida to South Florida, so essentially they can steal our water.
- 45:59Well, if we want to do that, I have a question, and no one really has been able to answer it.
- 46:07I don't understand why Florida's being surrounded, surrounded with water.
- 46:12We are a peninsula, folks, and we are surrounded by water.
- 46:16Why don't we have desalinization plants?
- 46:19We do, but not enough.
- 46:21And they are not the problem with them is they are not using the seawater, which would be could be turned into drinking water.
- 46:32They're using brackish water, which is uh all of them uses the ocean water.
- 46:40They've been that's what they should be using.
- 46:43Yes, and if you have one more thing to add though, when you're done.
- 46:46Okay, uh, they should be, we should be looking at that, just like what Ed said, if they're gonna build a center, they should be told that part of their feasibility study is to put in the um electricity.
- 47:02But I think it's I think they should have to build uh a desalinization plant to go along with it because they're taking the water, and even worse.
- 47:14Um, up here, up north, our systems are so antiquated, you can't put some of these developments on top of these antiquated water systems.
- 47:27There's not enough water for everybody, and then uh my neighboring community where I used to live, they now have to have times when the water is shut off in Florida, shut off in Florida because they have too many houses and the houses are not connecting, not getting enough water.
- 47:48So, water is a big issue.
- 47:50We need water for irrigation, we're not getting it.
- 47:52We're gonna give it to AI.
- 47:54Are we gonna eat AI instead of crops now?
- 47:58I mean, this is absurd, and we should be building desalinization plants.
- 48:04Or those with the power plants for the uh for the data center.
- 48:08Yes, I would think that would be exactly right, especially uh we're having a drought now.
- 48:14Did anybody think that we never had one before?
- 48:18Does anybody think that we're not gonna have one again?
- 48:20Of course we are.
- 48:21It's a it's a cycle.
- 48:23Our our climate is a cycle.
- 48:25So sometimes we have drought, sometimes we have a lot of rain, but we're not doing and we're not managing it properly.
- 48:32And uh that leads me to Mac the Welder, who is running for commissioner of agriculture, who absolutely should get that job because he's the only one that's really knowledgeable about agriculture.
- 48:45So, folks, we have a lot of digging to do.
- 48:48I know Cindy, you wanted to say something.
- 48:50So I just wanted to say that Victor was over here.
- 48:53He came over from the West Coast to the event with uh James, and he told me that HB 945 was a bill where they were going to police your thoughts.
- 49:00Bill where they were going to police your thoughts.
- 49:02Oh my gosh.
- 49:02Oh my gosh.
- 49:04He called, he called them and said you need to pull that bill.
- 49:04He called, he called them and said you need to pull that bill.
- 49:07Uh let me tell you what it says.
- 49:07Uh, let me tell you what it says.
- 49:08It's a unit.
- 49:08It's a a unit, okay?
- 49:10Okay.
- 49:108200 spyware.
- 49:108200 spyware.
- 49:12Yeah, they're gonna spy on us for our voice.
- 49:12Yeah, they're going to spy on us for our voice.
- 49:15So this is something, and he spoke about the data centers.
- 49:15So this is something, and he spoke about the data centers.
- 49:18We know what they're about.
- 49:18We know what they're about.
- 49:20I mean, they're not about, I mean, they want to put one out in India.
- 49:20I mean, they're not about, I mean, they want to put one out in India.
- 49:24I mean, give me a break.
- 49:24I mean, give me a break.
- 49:25If Maine said no, we're not doing it.
- 49:25If Maine said no, we're not doing it.
- 49:27I don't know if you're watching what's going on in Ohio.
- 49:27I don't know if you're watching what's going on in Ohio, they're fighting.
- 49:29They're fighting a good fight.
- 49:30And we shouldn't have them at all.
- 49:32We should just say no.
- 49:33No, we're not doing it.
- 49:34What do we need them for?
- 49:35Nobody can give you a correct answer because basically it's Palantir.
- 49:39They want them.
- 49:40And the other tech companies.
- 49:42They're destroying our country.
- 49:44Not only are they destroying the country, but they're destroying Florida.
- 49:47And it's not going to stop.
- 49:48It's going to continue until we put our foot down and we tell Renner Collins and the other jerk.
- 49:54What's his name?
- 49:55Donald's.
- 49:55Donald Collins and missing somebody, Renner.
- 49:58God forbid they become, they become the governor.
- 50:01And I will say, yes, some of them took money from China, but all of them took money from Israel.
- 50:07Big Israel.
- 50:08Renner was one of the worst.
- 50:10Okay.
- 50:11We have somebody running, Aaron Baker, a great guy running against Randy Fine up in the Melbourne area.
- 50:18And he's been working on that for a year.
- 50:20I think he's going to get defeated because somebody else threw himself in the race.
- 50:24We don't need to be taking money and having foreign countries telling us what we can and cannot do in Florida.
- 50:29Number one.
- 50:30That's number one.
- 50:32Because they can't hide it anymore.
- 50:34That's why the young people were walking in the door.
- 50:36They knew all about it.
- 50:37It's all over X.
- 50:39You can't, and like I said, Trump has a problem.
- 50:41We are going to run out of time.
- 50:43And yes, Trump has a problem, and we'll have to come back and discuss it.
- 50:48Cindy, I wanted you and Ed to give some parting advice to our listeners so that we can do something about helping the state of Florida get back to what we wanted it to be, which is the free state of Florida.
- 51:06So Cindy, what parting words have you got for our audience?
- 51:10Do your homework.
- 51:11Go to www.opensecrets.org.
- 51:15There also is another site, Ballapedia.
- 51:17You can look up the bills and the money where they get their money.
- 51:20I would absolutely say that's crucial.
- 51:23Do your homework.
- 51:24Okay.
- 51:24That's the most important thing.
- 51:26And Ed, what do you mean words did for our listeners?
- 51:31Get engaged.
- 51:31Show up to vote in the primaries.
- 51:33That's something Republicans don't do.
- 51:35Be engaged, show up, vote, uh, ask questions of your candidates.
- 51:40And for good information on Florida politics, go to www.miamiindependent.com.
- 51:48Yes, fabulous.
- 51:50Um easy, fabulous information there.
- 51:54Great authors, and I'm one of them.
- 51:56And I have to put that plug in.
- 51:59Um, it is incredible information.
- 52:03Miami independent, and you don't have to live in Miami to be able to read what's there.
- 52:08But it's very important that you do that.
- 52:10And Ed is a contributor and editor as well.
- 52:14So I want to thank both of you so much.
- 52:17Also, if you are in North Florida in District 2, which I am in, Evan Power, who is the chair of the RPOF, is running for Congress, for Congress, for representative in Congress in DC.
- 52:37Yeah, there is no way that he should be receiving anything.
- 52:40We have Keith Gross.
- 52:42Uh, he is a good young man, also young man.
- 52:47Um listen to him.
- 52:49There's going to be a debate, and I would suggest that you tune in and listen to that debate.
- 52:55There's also Austin uh Rogers.
- 52:59Uh, he is a good man also.
- 53:01So we have candidates that and again, the bad part is usually when so many candidates are running, the one that is being sponsored by the establishment is the winner.
- 53:15And we cannot allow that to happen.
- 53:17In Texas, they they require that a primary election be won with a majority.
- 53:23So if nobody gets a majority, the top two vote getters go to a runoff.
- 53:27And that's the way it used to be in Florida until Governor Bush got rid of it because he said the people weren't turning out anyway.
- 53:36But I think that's the way that we should go back to.
- 53:39I would agree with you, but finding a group of state representatives who would vote that in will be another challenge.
- 53:47So unfortunately, it's the primary folks, and we need our candidate to win.
- 54:03He works for Ramba Consulting.
- 54:06He's a consultant, and he is also the chair of the RPOF, the corrupt RPOF that is purging grassroots from the RECs, the re executive, the Republican executive committee.
- 54:21We must give kudos and a big thank you to Governor DeSantis for redrawing the uh legislative map in Florida based on the new Supreme Court uh ruling and the new demographics of the state of Florida.
- 54:39But folks, if we don't vote in the primary, it doesn't matter what map we have, and it's those numbers that count.
- 54:46Mathematically, you can't win if you don't vote.
- 54:50And voting in the primary is of utmost importance.
- 54:54And uh shame on you, Danny Perez, speaker of the House who refused to allow the AI in school bill uh and AI bill to even be heard on the floor.
- 55:07Uh shame on you.
- 55:08Who are your donors?
- 55:10I think that's one we should be looking up.
- 55:12So, folks, please share this information, share the podcast, go to Karen Be Shone.com, and on Tuesday, this information will become a podcast and get it out.
- 55:26Get people to vote.
- 55:28You must vote in the primary.
- 55:30I can't stress that enough.
- 55:32Have a wonderful week.
- 55:34If you live in District 2 in Florida, make sure that you tune into the representative for District 2 debate on Monday night on uh WMB.
- 55:47It will be quite interesting, and this will be our chance to see what these candidates are about.
- 55:54And I will see you again next week.
- 55:56Have a wonderful week, everyone.
