- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Three Yards Perkati, a podcast covering the Miami Dolphins and the NFL.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, here's your host, Chris, Alf, and Simon.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_03]: And we're on.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_03]: This is three hours per carry.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm off radar.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_03]: I guess I'm in Clancy is here.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Kaufman is here and it's not another victorious Tuesday because it's the game after Monday.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: So one streak over season over, although if you've been listening to the podcast, we kind of told you that the season was over in what week two when they lost to the Patriots after having a lead kind of an important game and if you believed.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_03]: all the breakdowns of winning records and AFC records and division records.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: You kind of knew that that charge your game, even if Miami went 10 and 7, pretty much ended all playoff hopes right then there.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it was virtually an impossibility to make it to the playoffs with a 10 win record this year.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_03]: but no matter now they're eliminated.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_03]: And now there's questions for the rest of the year.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna talk a little bit about this game.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_03]: I want to talk about going forward because it seems like it will be the end of an era here.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_03]: Mike McDaniel were the most revealing press conference in the history of press conferences.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_03]: At least for him and we'll talk about that.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: But Simon, I'll start here.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: That game had it all.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: They started the game playing inspired defense.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think in fact the entire first half,
- 1:34[SPEAKER_03]: that was as hard hitting a defensive effort as I've ever seen, but you could kind of see that the wheels were beginning to come off and the defense was I guess scoreboard watching and as soon as they start scoreboard watching and know that the offense is not going to produce anything.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_03]: You could tell that they start pressing, and that's when the wheels really came off.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_03]: What were your impressions of that game in the first half, because as soon as writing Patterson hit that kick short, I'm like, this does not feel good right here.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: Your thoughts on that?
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you could play out any podcast in the last three or four seasons where the dolphins had a big game, and then you could just play out, you know, our reaction to the inevitable loss that followed the dolphins kind of a game in this
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: But there is a funality too with this.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think too.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: I should play again.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think last night was his final start as a dolphin.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: That would be my take on it.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: I was extremely disappointed with the play calling.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: And like it wasn't like we didn't predict it.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, came out and said, oh, you know, it was going to happen.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be, you know, Monday night football, all eyes are going to be on my can he's going to come out past the ball and what did he do came out through the ball.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: Which pretty much tells you everything you need to know they're averaging six yards of carry to start with when they were on in the ball and then just just stopped and then you know two are just looked like I mean we I said what two or three weeks ago that he was now I kind of bought on
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: and quarterback, I mean, he's probably a bottom three based on that performance, yes or no, it was just so abject in terms of, you know, what he was doing.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: And I had somebody go, miss me going, oh, only three, five, and you're six incompletions of whatever, and look at the Yardis numbers, and it was like, yeah, but yeah, 94 yards passing, and up until 10 minutes ago, and they get, you know, this is garbage time, you know, Yardis, just like go back to Green Bay a couple of years ago, where we were down 27, three, and then he put up, you know,
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: Three hundred yards in the game was already over, it's the same, same shit yesterday.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the defense was excellent until it wasn't, certainly on this first three or four pits, both drives, thought Jordan Brooks was outstanding.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: I thought result, Douglas was outstanding, but we couldn't really get any pressure.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: Certainly not with four onto two-hour Rogers, Chuck Robinson, he's had a little bit of a Renaissance for the last couple of weeks, but feels like a guy that you think,
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: would you really go out on the fifth year option on on this guy given how he's played this year?
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's a long way to go, but you know that's kind of how it's looking, but you know, I thought defensively no complaints really and they just end up getting worn down and worn out and it's hard when you just know that the offense just isn't going to be able to
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I think on the board, Chris, you know, they're not going to be able to move the ball consistently through the air that the head coach decided to go away from the run game.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: I went to a get to the lectern afterwards and says, you know, it's my fault as he has been saying over the last few weeks.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not playing well enough.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: But then turns around and says, you know, I just don't think I did a good enough job of preparing my receivers this week and it's just like, what what?
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like, why would you come out and say that?
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, even if you think that, don't say that, you know?
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I just, yeah, it very much feels like the end of an era.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: And to me, I know I've kind of sat in the fence for the last couple of weeks.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: I said, oh, they're moving it down.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: You're just going to stay actually in the performances.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: The last couple of weeks are going to say it.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's just another false dawn.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's just another false door, and like I said, you go back and play any podcast from Brigadier where we've come in and gone, you know what?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: This is our time.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to beat this team in the cold.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to beat this, actually, you know, chance.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: And it just felt about, I mean, I went to bed early in the fourth quarter because it was, you know, chord four and we were getting hammered in it was 28, three or whatever the score wasn't, it was just like, why am I doing this?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's like four years of getting up in the middle of night and just watching the shit and just the same old saying, well, the whole time.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, disappointing, not unexpected, but I think it kind of probably just for me it sort of draws a 900 and it's like okay, last three games.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: We do what we do, you know, maybe we'll start as maybe you will start whatever, but you know, let's start looking to 2026 and really say, let's start planning for that 2027 draft and get ourselves a quarter back and see what we can do for that point forward, Chris.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, before you go, Chris, Simon, if you went to bed early, what you missed was down while going crazy in the fourth quarter.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_03]: and then Mike might go back and then Mike McDaniel going to the podium afterwards and saying, you know what?
- 6:07[SPEAKER_03]: After watching him in the fourth quarter and made me think maybe I needed to get him involved early in the game.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, that's Sunday last three possessions when, you know, we would kind of down it took six minutes drive down the field and Yeah, that's a hurry up.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_05]: They don't have one, that's the that's the reality they don't have to like why the call back doesn't change the way that I was going to court quarterback can't change the play they can't they can't they don't have they don't have like a slimmed down version of the playbook like a skinny version.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_05]: of the playbook where they can do away with the choreography and all the stuff like that.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think that exists.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_05]: I think they literally are running into a brick wall in situations like that and they can't.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_05]: It just screams about the insufficiency of Mike McDaniel as the leader of the offense and
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: a playbook to run in all those situations you really don't he talked about this before in 2022 when they had that big comeback against the ravens he was asked about the offense and the hurry up toward the end of the game and he says that it's the same he's always run which is he sends in two plays at a time and they run those two plays and then he sends two more at a time so in other words every two plays there's an operation break
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's not a hurry of offense.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm cooling the time out at the end of the game when there wasn't a time out to cool.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_03]: There wasn't one.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's worth it.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_05]: It wasn't a perfect way to edit.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_05]: No, I think this game, you know, again, I expected to get blown out.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_05]: This is, you know, they're trying to separate the hopefulness from everything.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_05]: We're going on the road.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, that's already a bad thing.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_05]: We're going in prime time.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, that's another bad thing.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_05]: We're going in the cold, okay, that's another bad thing.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_05]: You know, it's a big game.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_05]: It became a big game Simon.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_05]: You know, all right, another bad thing.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_05]: Just stack up all the bad things, right?
- 8:17[SPEAKER_05]: The things that we know where Miami does not come out on top in Mike McDaniel's team since 2020 too.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_05]: If it's a home game at 1pm or 4pm, then we're probably pretty good shape.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_05]: But otherwise, otherwise, we're not in good shape.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_05]: And if you were just to do your predictions, based purely on that, then what I had, like way ahead.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_05]: So I think that, you know, you stack it all up.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_05]: And then you add on top of it, if you brought up that the Steelers don't lose a Monday night football at home, right?
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: One, two, three in a row now.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_03]: They've won at home.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a Monday night football.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_05]: I had it all up.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_05]: Why would anybody in the right mind pick the dolphins for this game and I say enough to listen to the game.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_05]: I say that.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously because I know too.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_05]: I know too.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_05]: Plus on this podcast did.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be enough.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys saw the broadcast last night, right before the game Scott Van Pelk goes, the theaters have won 22 in a row at home.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_03]: And two a tongue of I though is four and one on Monday night football.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_03]: Something has to give.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like,
- 9:20[SPEAKER_05]: don't say that's got he said the opposite to his who's bad and two doesn't have a good record on Monday and I football that's he's foreign to now he actually loses a lot on Thursday and I football okay well either way I think I think that this is I think they they probably just haven't played very many Monday night games under a nickname to be honest
- 9:41[SPEAKER_05]: Um, but, uh, yeah, this is it was all bad.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_05]: Um, as far as the circumstances go leading into the projection, what was going to happen and the game played out about what, you know, very little about what the game, how the game played out shocked me.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it was as you said, Alfred, the strong defensive performance that had been sustained from the previous performances that the, the defenses had.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_05]: Um, now, I'm not going to give them the excuse for the second half
- 10:08[SPEAKER_05]: this, you know, scoreboard watching and the offense not being able to keep it up.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_05]: I think the defense had major issues itself in the second half and had issues that they couldn't, they couldn't really adjust to and clearly Aaron Rogers was able to, you know, eat their lunch in the second half.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_05]: Once you got to beat him, once you got to beat him, what they were doing, you know, and they didn't have answers to that, they missed tackles, you know, the bad players played bad.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I shouldn't have, this is a backup and, you know, he's not supposed to be out there starting.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_05]: I think there was a point where if you have to melatonin really, you know, really botched a coverage pretty badly.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, just no excuses there.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_05]: I think that they were, I think that the bad players, that we have to remember that defense is not well staffed.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_05]: It's, they've been achieving some of what they've achieved based on, I don't know, Hocus Pocus.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_05]: But the legs, they're, they're not well-staffed.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's already, I hope, it's focused Chris.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, right.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_05]: And, and, and, and I, I think last night's a reminder of that.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm not going to give them their excuse because it did show them their shortcomings as a defense personnel wise.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_05]: Um, the offense, of course, I expected that, you know, in these circumstances, I'm expecting to play poorly now, um, what I think is probably most damning about that is, um, is the fact that we've gone to a run based offense.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_05]: And to is still struggling, which kind of means, well, are you only going to not struggle when we feature you as the, you know, as the driving force of the offense and we know what problems there are with that, like that's not, that's, that's not a good, that's not a good route to take either and you know, we're as opposed to Ryan Tannhill remember all all Ryan Tannhill ever wanted was a run game.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_05]: Right, and then when he went to Tennessee and he had Derek Henry, we saw him have damn near MVP caliber years, you know, I think that that's that's a little bit damning to see to just break in breaking apart as the run game started to take off in the last month, not last night, of course, that that.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_05]: doesn't necessarily apply to last night but still.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_05]: Actually the most shocking thing that I saw of all last night was watching it live and I'm watching in the fourth quarter.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_05]: Two a tongue of I low has started playing in a way that I don't think I've seen and play it a year.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_05]: And it had to do with his movement.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_05]: It had to do with the chances that he was willing to take his running around.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_05]: He was willing to take chances, and hits.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_05]: And hits.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_05]: And it was something I swear to God, I have not seen in a year from that man, right?
- 13:05[SPEAKER_05]: And to mind, how much of this is self-imposed?
- 13:11[SPEAKER_05]: How much is him, he's mentally in a bad place,
- 13:16[SPEAKER_05]: You know, probably because of the concussions.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what it is.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_05]: But also how much is the coaching staff?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_05]: Like how much, there's reams and reams of publicly available interview footage of them shaming him for, you know, you're being selfish, you're not being good leader.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_05]: You need to minimize contacting, you need to minimize hits.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_05]: You need, you know, they're calling himself a selfish, you know, every time he takes a hit,
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Chris first press conference last year as soon as he's in ended was about how, oh, it was slow.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, paraphrasing paraphrasing.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we were eight and nine, but we really should have been like 11 and six, but quarterbacks of dummy that that took a concussion.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, they basically what he said.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_05]: They literally blamed him for the failure of the rebuild in that press conference.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_05]: Like they had, they were asked, you know, we're we're year five or whatever into this rebuild.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_05]: Why do you think it hasn't achieved?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_05]: what you wanted to achieve.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_05]: They blamed to it.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_05]: They straight up blamed to it in that one.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_05]: So he's had this hammered into his head over and over again.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_05]: Even to the point where last year, like he, you know, he does a thing.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_05]: He tries to make a play on a first-out to run for a first-out against the Rams.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_05]: He takes a little, a little hurt hit, right?
- 14:31[SPEAKER_05]: He gets hit from the side on that play.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_05]: And he plays the next game, but then he doesn't play the next two.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_05]: You know, and so, you know, how much of this is to a basically being
- 14:47[SPEAKER_05]: confronted with a staff and an organization that's like word, if you're taking any chances, we're just not going to play you.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_05]: And so, and now, here he is at the fourth quarter, he was taking chances.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_05]: He was looking more decisive, more playmaker kind of guy, willing to take hits and stuff like that.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_05]: What happens the next day?
- 15:11[SPEAKER_05]: Mike McDaniels asked about who's a quarterback
- 15:15[SPEAKER_05]: Well, to look at that, he gave, he gave, I mean, that was pretty clear that he's thinking about benching to a right so yeah, yes, there's all these things that you can explain all of them and you can explain exactly why we should be fearful about to his injuries and I share that fear right I believe that right I believe that if he plays fast and loose he's going to end up taking off the field on a stretcher right.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_05]: But we don't, none of us know that, right?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_05]: None of us know that.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_05]: And we have to think about it from the player's standpoint at some point too, like if that's what's being drilled into his head constantly and constantly, then of course he's gonna end up looking like shit.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_05]: He's not allowed to be a football player.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_05]: He's not, you know, he is self restraining himself from being a football player.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_05]: And then in the fourth quarter, it just seemed like,
- 16:02[SPEAKER_05]: Well, now he's, now he just said, fuck it.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_05]: It looked like it.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_05]: That's certainly, his body language, everything the way he was moving against the rush, the way he was willing to take those hits and stuff like that, and not, not try to take this axe and, you know, he just said, fuck it.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_05]: And, and it just makes me wonder, you know, this is a breakup that needs to happen.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_05]: Both, it's he said she said at this point, this is the change of scenery needs to happen.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_05]: I just wouldn't be surprised if to a resurfaced and play it a little bit better somewhere else until it gets taken off on a stretcher.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_05]: And that's what I think the fourth quarter kind of, you know, pointed out to me last night.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, we're gonna go to break and we come back, we're gonna talk about some of the players individually.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_03]: I struggled to find many players that I was happy with, maybe a handful.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get to it on the other side of the break, but first let me tell you about underdog fantasy.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: Football season is in full swing, headed toward the playoffs, without the dolphins, by the way.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: And it's that time again.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_03]: So playing on underdog is easy, just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like touchdowns receiving yards, interceptions and more get your picks right and you could win up to 5,000 times your cash look.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: Some people have been sending me some of their underdog plays and my god man, it's almost like it's like.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: printing money to take that Tuttung of Aloha higher than 0.5 intersections, like everybody's including it.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_03]: Last night I had somebody over at my house and they were showing me they're taking it and I'm like, man, that is some savvy shit right there.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately for him he had a Devon A-chan such down in there.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: So, no, didn't hit all the way around.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: But download the underdog app today and use the promo code three yards to score 75 dollars and bonus entries when you play your first five dollars.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's promo code three yards.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's the number three yards.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: Underdog, make picks win money 18 plus 19 plus an Alabama in Nebraska 19 plus in Colorado for some games 21 plus an Arizona Massachusetts and Virginia and present in a state where underdog fantasy operates.

- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: and we're back.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_03]: All right, as promised, we'll talk about some of the players individually in this game.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: I came away completely discouraged with a couple of players in this game.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: Bradley Chubbe was absolutely useless against what was at a third string, fourth string left tackle.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_03]: And I watched every single snap of his.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what he was doing.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he was cold.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_03]: He looked cold as shit to me.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_03]: He had on that.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: That smock on his head.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: Double layers.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_03]: And he just did not affect the pocket at all.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_03]: And Aaron Rodgers was absolutely masterful.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_03]: On the good side.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_03]: Man, I came away really, really impressed with just two players on this day, because you kind of expect it from the Von H. But downwallers are good player.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like, he's
- 19:28[SPEAKER_03]: like he's a good player regardless of who the quarterback is next year if he's willing to play on one of these cheap contracts again, I wouldn't mind bringing him back and Jack Jones is absolutely fearless like not many guys are playing harder than Jack Jones.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_03]: I guess you could tell that he wants that new contract.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_03]: He's another guy if he wants to play on the cheap he's I'm fine by me
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: There's a reason why look Craig Aquaman I talked about this on our discord only friends and you could you could become a member there for 99 a month If you just go under my name right there, you look you see that link right there discord dot gg4 slash only friends You could join do it on a desktop avoid the apple ob charges I was talking about this Craig Aquaman's a good Well, he's an improvement.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not gonna say he's a good special team scoge, but he's an improvement
- 20:21[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody really can hang their head on anything yesterday, except maybe, you know, HN is always going to be good.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_03]: And like I said, Waller and Jack Jones played hard, but Craig Gockerman at some point, you've already asked Riley Patterson to do that dirty kick about four, five times this year.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_03]: We have four of those penalties not hitting the drop zone or the landing zone, whatever that is.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_03]: The guy can't do it.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_03]: Stop calling it.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, let's just go individually here on some of the players.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_03]: We established, I don't care what to end it, to end it up actually with a great looking game, but he was awful for the most part.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just converting on third down and second and long, not getting any positive yardage or second and long or making it even worse than second and long.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_03]: But let's talk about some of the individual players Simon, who stood out to you, good and bad in this game.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: I thought HR was fine.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: I thought Julian Hill blocked pretty well.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't like seeing seven.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: I had dog walk back into the court, back in a couple of times.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: I kept how he was.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the receivers, nobody can get open.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I hope if you're not worthy, you can't get open.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: While I was, while I was, you know, decent, be just think wide, widely throwing to him more, then, you know, why?
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you should be having end 12 targets, not, you know, six or four or whatever.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_02]: So that seems a bit of a waste defensively, seal and planar eye.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the ends were really poor.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: If it was the biggest play pretty worth, what Jordan Brooks was unbelievable again.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's the first team all pro linebacker type performance yet again from him.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: I said earlier on I thought Russell Douglas played well.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_02]: The action day was was terrible.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, just defensively I thought, you know, as we said at the top, I thought it was pretty good until it wasn't.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then they just kind of got run down one down.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: It was obviously cold.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: The sealer started to find something, Rodgers was able to find some guys open in the flat and make up some decent chunk yardies and they didn't really have massive explosives and necessarily, but they were just able to keep the chains moving.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: We couldn't get off the field and critical down, they convert us in fourth downs.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's sometimes just the way that the game is, but we had enough chances and offloads.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, you go back and you look at, you know, we drove down the field pretty well on the first drive.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: Second time for driving down the field pretty well, we get a first down and plus territory, and then there's that, the interception, which is a terrible throw.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's the bad route combination.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's a two-man route with people staying into block against zone coverage with high low over the top on J&M order.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: And you're essentially asking to make a throw that he just hasn't been able to make for the last 80 months.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that if he completes that past order, it's one of the best throws of the last 80 months that he's made.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't have the arm strength to do it.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: you know, that thing just hung up there, just flutter, just had no chance of getting there.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, you know, the way that you have to throw it to pitch it over that front defender, who albeit had his back to the quarterback, but by the time it gets there, because there's no, no, no, I'm on it.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's able to turn around, you know, the idea that you drop it in front of the safety and and over the top of the corner, it's just a bad play.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: There are no other options and trade when you've got it perfectly right in commentary.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: There was nobody in the flat to draw the corner back down just a little bit to create that space to find.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the problem because, you know, that play might have worked against a certain defense, but it
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: Clearly, the two of us should have got to the line and realise that that play was not going to work against that defense, but he just Christ doesn't have the capability for whatever reason to change the play at the line of scratch.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: And you see pretty much every court back.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's what should our scientists change in plays at the line of scratch for the browser today.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a guy in his six season who's not allowed to change the place and that's some of the things that happened because he's just forced him to, yeah, he looks right, Malik Washington's in it covered by three defenders in that zone, nothing open.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: everybody else is staying into block and then so he's got to throw it or I mean you know to me I need to just throw it away, but he hasn't even got the arms straight to throw it out of bounds on that position and then you're going to pick up a penalty and push yourself out of field goal range and put yourself into a you know a second and long situation but somehow I'd rather that than just turn the ball over just you know inexplicably when it was going well and then at that point I'm that point forward we just couldn't
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I think a handful of players could hold their heads up, but, you know, be on that.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: And it's the same people we can, we can't, you know, say, Chan, it's Brooks, Douglas, you know, so I've put passion, you know, it's a career long for him as a good kick in freezing cold whether in terms of the field goal.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it's just there's just not that many complaints on the team and that's the problem.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_05]: I think easy game ball to Darren Waller, you know,
- 25:20[SPEAKER_05]: And he took it over in a way that, you know, we're not used to seeing tight ends take over games and Miami, that's for sure.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_05]: And he took over the fourth quarter.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_05]: And that's not a coincidence because 15 out of his 20 snacks came during that fourth quarter stretch, you know, from about, you know, let's call it from about 10 minutes, 10 or 11 minutes and to the left in the game.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_05]: That's where 15 of his 27 snaps came.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, when Mike McDaniel said, I probably should have gotten him a volatile hot earlier, and I think that's just the truth.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_05]: uh... just a little bit is one of the cash point we just don't have that and that's what he provides no we don't right and and that's and you know if you think about how to a that's all to a hat early in his career right and that's is those guys those types of guys might get sick you don't want a parker you know just big guys that uh... that couldn't really create separation but you know they could win at the catch point uh...
- 26:22[SPEAKER_05]: We've gone complete opposite.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_05]: We don't have balance that way for the most part.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_05]: We're getting that a little bit with Darren Waller, but you have to get him involved in the game.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_05]: I think that
- 26:33[SPEAKER_05]: What I came away with with these players is it's just especially with to a and the coaching staff and everybody is it's just a shame that all of the it seems like all of this is rooted and started in 2022 with the concussions that happened with to and the way the the dolphins handled that.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_05]: And the way that they were criticized for handling it, very, very heavily criticized investigations by the NFL and the NFL P.A.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_05]: The media.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_05]: Activities of attempted murder.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_05]: You know, the media went absolutely firestorm on it.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_05]: And they, I think that they, you know, they instituted new rules and policies.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_05]: because of it.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_05]: It was a big deal.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_05]: And I just think everybody's been, everybody's been driven up a wall about it in Miami from to himself to all the people that are handling to a, uh, in a way that when you look crossably, let's be honest.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_05]: We're not seeing concussions taking the same way, you know, taking us seriously elsewhere as they are in Miami.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_05]: We're seeing some pretty fast and loose, you know, play with the whole concussion checks and the tents and stuff like that and how many concussions other players are taken.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_05]: I think that I think that it from 22, the ball just has started rolling downhill.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, what happened with Hayton interrupt me, but I wanted to interject this.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_03]: What happened with CD lamb last week was shameful.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you saw the play.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_03]: He had the fencing posture in the end zone.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_03]: He got up and fell down, fell down.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_03]: They picked them up and dragged them to the sideline.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: He played this week.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's just, you know, and it's just, I think it's one of those things that once that started it, it just started on wind and things like kind of
- 28:50[SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, and it's just, it's a shame because, you know, what you're seeing in the offense, you take what you're talking about on a play like the interception, where to it doesn't have enough options, right?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_05]: This is a consistent thing with Miami's pass offense and the structure of the passing offense.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_05]: It's why
- 29:10[SPEAKER_05]: Kurt Warner has criticized it in detail, right, about the spacing and the number of options and the way that they go through progressions and things like that, except why don't they have more options?
- 29:24[SPEAKER_05]: You know, why don't they have more passing options so that to a can play a little bit looser about, you know, where he's going with the ball and check downs and stuff like that.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_05]: It's to protect him, you know, they're keeping guys in there to protect him, okay, they're keeping guys into chip and to block, you know, and things like that and to help out the tackles.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_05]: Now, oddly, you'd think that they put together a good offense of line over these four years in order to try and protect them, that's the one thing that they seemingly refuse to do.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_05]: But I mean, it's the way the passing game is structured to where he ends up with very few options.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_05]: It's to protect him.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_05]: And so everything just kind of flows off of what happened in 22.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_05]: And it's just such a bad deal that you just got to start over to me.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't think too it can be here for that start over.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think McDaniel can be here for that start over to me honest.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_05]: And so at this point, you know, I'm a little more agnostic Simon.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_05]: I think on whether McDaniel could be the coach next year.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_05]: And the only reason is because I think next year whoever's the coaching is going to inherit a grenade anyway.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you are going to that go come out of that off season next year going into the season be prepared Miami is going to be rated by every major publication as a bottom five team in the NFL next year.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_05]: Get ready for that.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to happen like Miami is going Miami is going to be predicted to be one of the worst teams in the league.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be a difficult offseason in terms of personnel losses and, you know, free agency and the draft and stuff like that.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_05]: It's just going to be really difficult.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_05]: Whoever coaches the team next year is going to inherit a grenade.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, do you want that to be a new head coach that you're trying to have a good run with?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_05]: Or do you want it to be the guy who's at the tail end of his of a stint when Miami and help create the mess?
- 31:32[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I'm a little agnostic on that.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like, I'm a little, I'm a little bit, I'm, you know, okay, I could keep McDangled for that because it's going to be shit.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_05]: And so if he goes down with it, then, you know, I'm not going to cry for him.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_05]: Um, I would feel bad for a new coach that we go through ahead to go it's searching process and and you know, by the way, this is what you inherit.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_05]: You know, and it's not it's not going to be good.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_05]: So, um, so yeah, I'm not I'm not as I'm not as as strong about, you know, so, and so needs to be fired.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_05]: Um, I just hope that they don't make a lot of long term decisions based on the idea that he's going to be here.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, uh, I tend to agree.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_03]: Um, now something that I'm not agree with is that press conference today where you kind of alluded to possibly benching to a in my opinion and I said this on our discord and again, you could join.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_03]: I found it kind of weasily building in an excuse for why you can't achieve
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: If I'm a competitor, and I'm pretty certain that these guys are competitors, mind you this will be the first time that this team plays a hopeless game, a meaningless game.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: In McDonald's entire tenure, McDaniel's entire ten years since he got here in 2022, he has never played a game where the team was eliminated from the playoffs, mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_03]: Even last season, they remember they needed a win against the jets and they needed Kansas
- 33:19[SPEAKER_03]: and they would have made the playoffs last season.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: So this is the first time that the team is playing a meaningless game.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see what his team looks like playing in a meaningless game.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_03]: Are they going to go out there and play against a team that has already quit like the Bengals and a quarterback who is, I don't know.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_03]: engaging in this depressing die tribe every single week.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_03]: It gets worse and worse.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: They quit.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: They lost 24 or nothing.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_03]: They looked hopeless against the ravens.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think that they had beaten two weeks prior.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_03]: Are you really going to go out there and start a Zach Wilson or a Quinn yours and build in an excuse in case you lose?
- 34:00[SPEAKER_03]: No, I want to see you at your best.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: Make a run at winning nine games and show something.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: You could still achieve something to say, look, my guys performed.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_03]: My guys performed.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: My guys got nine wins when the roster's probably not a nine win roster.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: But no, building in and excuse.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: Your thoughts Simon on possibly starting a Zach Wilson or Quinn yours against Cincinnati and essentially for the rest of the way.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't see what winning nine games does now, like what's what's the point?
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: Beyond saving McDaniel's job, what are you gaining from that?
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: You're just getting a worse draft position.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't understand, maybe it gives you some momentum going into the seventh month break.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: with players that probably aren't really, you know, it's Jordan Brooks gonna be here next year.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: Are we gonna trade him?
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's contract $7 million for his final season.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like I would imagine, he'll be an absolute prime trade target.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: His result, Douglas coming back, his Jones coming back, you know, that there's gonna be an awful lot of turnover.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think it really makes any difference.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: I just, you know, what if you end up with the 70th or the 18th pick when you could have had the 11th or the 12th or I don't know.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know what you're gained from winning three extra games other than to push yourself further down the draft order Excuse me to push yourself further down the draft order and you know, you know, you don't make the playoffs So unless we're all in on saving what Daniel's job knowing that he needs to be since that he can't print you in and to do that I don't know what we're gaining
- 35:45[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think so.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we focus on nine wins and I'm just like, well, get to seven first because, you know, that's the questionable one right now, the one in question about against the bangles because as you say, you know, they don't have anything to play play for either, but you know what the bucks do.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_05]: the five week after that and the Patriots are probably in a fight for that number one are going to be in a fight for that number one seed they're going to have something to play for you think we're going to beat them you think we're going to get the nine nine once you think this team the way this team plays is going to beat is going to beat teams like that and I don't think so so you know yeah we could get to seven we could get to seven but you know
- 36:33[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think we're getting a 9.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think we're getting a 8, frankly.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, it is, it is possible and maybe they do play in a meaningless game and play pretty well.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_05]: They do have a lot of pride and they play for each other.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_05]: You know, and I don't understand it at all, what does it look like when the team, you know, when the team really, you know, supposedly gives up and they're not playing like, they're bad teams out there and I know those fans are like, you know, the players are playing pretty, pretty hard, they're trying to play, you know, it's such a, it's such a BS thing to talk about that just means absolutely nothing.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_05]: Um, I don't know if that has any meaning or any utility as Simon suggested, uh, other than affecting draft position or, or whatever, um, should Zach Wilson start or should when you are start.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_05]: I think when you are should start, if you're interested in draft position and if you are interested, like positively interested in draft position and losing the rest of the games, um, and if you also feel like, you know, you're probably going to end up replacing when you are next year.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_05]: Um, you know, that's when Quinn years going to start.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_05]: Otherwise, that man is a fetus, okay?
- 38:01[SPEAKER_05]: He is he is a rookie, he's a seventh rounder, and he all but puked on his own shoes when he was put in the game against the Browns.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, you bought Zach Wilson for $6 million.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_05]: And yeah, maybe you should see if you got anything close to what you paid for with him.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_05]: I know that I don't think he's a McDaniel pick frankly.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_05]: I think that he's more of a Darrell Bevel.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_05]: thing, you know, it's been suggested to me.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_05]: They're certainly our connections with the LDS, and I think what's this name is, Zach Wilson has even talked about it, with Dera Bevel, and podcasts and stuff like that.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, I think that Dera Bevel is the guy that's gone to bat for him as like a reclamation project.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_05]: You know, maybe see what he has, you paid him $6 million that you're never going to get back.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_05]: So, so go see what he has to offer you for three games and you know what, who knows?
- 38:58[SPEAKER_05]: If it all clicks in a place and the offense looks like, oh my God, this is how the offense is supposed to look.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_05]: Then maybe you have a head start on what's going to happen with the quarterback position next year.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_05]: Because, you know, no, you're not going to put in your name next to Zach Wilson and say, and we're going to pay this man $30, $35 million a year, that sure is that shit isn't going to happen.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_05]: But you might say, hey, you know, looked pretty good for the games.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_05]: And you know, this offense, once you come back and have a full season and maybe, you know, we're not drafting anybody this year in the first round for Nando Mendoza's the only guy and we won't have a shot
- 39:37[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_05]: So, um, so, you know, hey, maybe maybe you come back next year, Zach Wilson and see what you've got, see what you and Mike McDaniel have together, um, unlikely, unlikely to be successful, I should say, but you know, hey, whatever, let's try it.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_05]: Let's try it out for three games.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_05]: But overall, I hope that the.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_05]: strategy is whatever is going to do best for the long-term future of the dolphins.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_05]: Whether that's not playing at Westbrook a case so that you get that for the roundbook, whether that's you know doing whatever you think you have to do so that somebody will take
- 40:17[SPEAKER_05]: $10 million of that guaranteed off our hands with to a and that contract.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not asking a lot.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_05]: You can't.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_05]: You're not.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_05]: Nobody's going to take the whole 54.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_05]: But you might take 5 or 10 million off of it.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_05]: You know, to get a backup.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, they'll trade us a conditional 7th.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_05]: I don't really give a shit with the what the what the pick is.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_05]: But I do care that they give us a 5 10 million dollar break on the contract.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_05]: Because that's worth fighting for.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_05]: And so, you know, whatever they do has to be toward those ends looking to the future and being rational, being actual adults about this and not being children and toddlers, the way that it's been suggested is, you know, oh, you can't expect them to, you know, what it can't expect them to make intelligent choices, that's low hanging fruit, I'm sorry.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, yeah.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's just my I understand both of your points and I could agree with them, but I just want to see put it on tape.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_03]: You got your quote, get your quarterback for 17 games, put it on tape.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see what you produced in 17 games.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's, you know, what decisions do you think you're going to change on on to us?
- 41:32[SPEAKER_03]: So I know if I fire, so I know about fire every single person that's walking or crawling in that building.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: he don't know that now after after 14 games.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: How can he not know that now?
- 41:42[SPEAKER_03]: Because Mike McDaniel is now building in new excuses that his quarterback is somehow hindering his offense and hindering his team.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_05]: Well, that's the order back and see if that's right.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: But if you like, I don't understand that you wouldn't know what you're getting.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like, do you
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're all going to have a completely different opinion on Tundra.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, we've been pretty wrong for the last 18 months.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: So three completely non relevant gains were out of playoff contention.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's just changed my opinion forever.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: Bring him back.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: Again, it's not even a new contract, that I'm being facetious, but like, I don't know about Mike McDaniel, not Tua.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking about Mike McDaniel, not Tua.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_05]: like how do we not know about my Daniel now at this point like I think the only thing new we're gonna find out about my Mike McDaniel is by two a not playing yeah a hundred percent like that's the thing he has left to prove he has never proven that he can coach offense with anybody but to a that is that is a fact you know go back look at all the
- 42:57[SPEAKER_05]: And, and you know, there's there's some backups that weren't that bad to me honest, um, yeah, but they, they didn't, they shared, shared it and looked good.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_03]: Well, there were some backups that actually won games elsewhere.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, including Tyler Huntley.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_05]: So, so I mean, so I mean, like, find out, find out if you're, the quickest way to find out if Mike McGangel has anything for you is replace, uh,
- 43:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, buddy, all right, on the way out here, very quickly, Simon, it was a consequential weekend in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, Torne C. L. Up for the season, and speculation is he'll be backed by October, although he's vowing September, which means he'll miss training camp.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_03]: Michael Parsons also vowing he'll be, he'll be backed by September, kind of doubtful for the position
- 43:55[SPEAKER_03]: pretty big weekend on on injuries both ways.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_03]: And is it over for Kansas City?
- 43:59[SPEAKER_03]: Is this dynasty?
- 44:00[SPEAKER_03]: Is this run?
- 44:01[SPEAKER_03]: This incarnation of the Kansas City chiefs?
- 44:06[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty good run nine years.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_02]: However, it's done, right?
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for those the last eight seven eight.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_02]: I see championship games.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's a phenomenal run.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: Fire Super Bowl appearances, three wins.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, and the good thing for the cheeses that they can survive the reboot that's to come, you know, patching my homes is not going anywhere.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's my home's just going to play for another eight, ten years without question, but it would be different, right?
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: He's not going to run around like a maniac anymore.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't know.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, I think you'll probably be different next season, but into his early 30s, I still think he's out there.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's way more likely than people give him credit for.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think what's interesting about them is that, you know, they're going to find themselves probably picking eight nights, 10 to the draft.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: And to me, their biggest issue on offense has been the lack of a consistent running game.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: And they're going to have Jeremiah love sat there.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: And immediately, we'll take the pressure off whatever court that comes in and has to hold the thought between, you know, perform a home's comes back.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: We'll also once Pat comes back, you know, I think it's going to be very good for that.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do too.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: What if I told you, but just that, you know, I think my home's just played outstanding football this season.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's just been let down by the fact that the office just isn't very good.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: The school positions aren't very good.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_02]: They got no, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: They've got speed, but you know, no actual real talent at the receiver position necessarily rushy rice is probably their best player, you know, the speed guys are just speed guys, they're not nuanced in any way, they're just run fast in a straight line.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Kelsey said that these in the year, they've been absolutely hamstering languages up front, you know, the two tackles have been injured for most of the season.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: The kid, the right guy from Tennessee has been injured, bound up, they've had coming into and then all sorts of different, you know, different,
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: incarnations at tackle.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: So, and defensively, they just look a bit slow.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: They can't get any pressure on the caught-back.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: Carl afters is a very good, you know, Chris Jones almost have to do it single-handly.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, but yeah, it's handy read.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's, it's reach.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's my home.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they'll be down for very long.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think they'll be down for very long either.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_05]: I think we saw with Tom Brady too, where it's like, you know, the quarterback goes somewhere else and now the somewhere else is in the Super Bowl, you know, and, and, you know, maybe, because, because what I'm thinking of Sandy Reed might not be in Kansas City for, for much longer, like, yeah, there are, there are rumors to that effect.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, I guess the knee jerk reaction would be if he leaves, then, you know, yeah, it's over for them, but I don't necessarily buy that either, because as long as Patrick Mohomes is there, I think you're going to have a damn good chance of building a pretty good team even when you've not built a great team.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_05]: you know, and and that's that's that's the what he buys you, uh, yeah, he'll still run around and he'll still be himself when he when he comes back, but it is interesting.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_05]: You need somebody, you need a quarterback get you through half the season until Patrick Mahomes comes back, you know, well, hey,
- 47:27[SPEAKER_05]: If you're willing to pay, if you're willing to pay about like $8-10 million of to his guarantees, we'll trade him to you for an empty can of beer, as long as you agree to knock off a little bit of that guarantee on our behalf.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_05]: That could be an option, but ironically,
- 47:46[SPEAKER_05]: I've gotten the feeling that my home's he is a good athlete.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_05]: He is a really good athlete, but he's not an in shape athlete and and so and so I've gotten the feeling that he's let himself go for a couple of years and and ironically and he and drew like this with the rehab and things like that my force and to be in the son of the best shape that he's been in probably three or four years.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_03]: And there might be the the meme that was running around with him at the beach with shirtless and and it said under it.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_03]: This is the guy who runs the sport question mark.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, exactly.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's it's so true though.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_05]: Um, so I think I think he could me it could be a little bit of dramatic or a little bit of irony there.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_05]: When he does come back next year, you know, and it's like, you know, not only trying to run and he's looking more athletic than he did before, because because then he had the knee rehab sometimes forces that on you.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_05]: So it could be interesting.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to leave it here.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: On Thursday, we will talk about the very rare consequential meaningless game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: There's going to be so many layers to that.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, there's a ESPN is talking about that Cincinnati is saying that nobody's getting fired or they're returning their general manager, their head coaches, everybody's returning.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_03]: So they should get a boost off of that.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk about it all on Thursday, but till then.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for listening to three yards per catty.
