- 0:20Speaker 2: You were talking about the start of the Tonight Show.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Last hour. 72 years ago, the Tonight Show began.
- 0:29Speaker 2: What I remember was before Steve Allen, Jerry Lester had
- 0:33Speaker 2: that time with Dagmar.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Well, that had been much earlier. That had been 1951, 1952.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Tonight Show came along. I thought it was.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Right before Steve Allen.
- 0:42Speaker 1: No, no. There was a gap of a few years there.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And Jerry Lester, it was not a Tonight Show at all.
- 0:48Speaker 1: It was just a regular straight variety show.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I was only 10 years old at the time, so
- 0:56Speaker 2: I just remember watching it and My parents would.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Be, oh, you shouldn't stay up so late.
- 1:01Speaker 1: 10 years older? What would that, so you'd be like,
- 1:03Speaker 1: how old would you be?
- 1:04Speaker 3: 85? I'm 85.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Oh, my God. See how sharp the guy says? Compare
- 1:09Speaker 1: that to Joe Biden. What a difference.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Don't compare me to, don't say my name and Joe Biden.
- 1:15Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Let's go to, let's go to Bill
- 1:20Speaker 1: in Idaho. Bill, how you doing?
- 1:23Speaker 2: Hey, Mark.
- 1:23Speaker 3: How are you? I'm good. Did you hear that a
- 1:27Speaker 3: goat charged into a Palestinian strip club and cost almost
- 1:31Speaker 3: $ 3, 000 worth of damage?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Now, wait a minute. All right. He's being funny.
- 1:40Speaker 5: The good news is he got up on stage and
- 1:45Speaker 5: earned it all.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The goat left lots of ones, lots of $ 1 bills.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:51Speaker 1: All right. We see where you're going with this. All right.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Let's go to... Is this the name?
- 1:58Speaker 1: Scrapper in Connecticut? Is that your name, Scrapper?
- 2:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that's me.
- 2:04Speaker 1: What kind of name is that, Scrapper?
- 2:07Speaker 3: Well, it's a name that has a short story.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Does that mean you're a fighter? You're in the junk business?
- 2:15Speaker 1: What does it mean?
- 2:16Speaker 3: Well, junk and a fighter. Anyways, let me get to
- 2:19Speaker 3: the point.
- 2:19Speaker 1: He doesn't want to say.
- 2:20Speaker 3: I want to say that I.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I think they.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Should stop calling the swamp the swamp and call it
- 2:30Speaker 3: the cesspool. They're insulting the swamps all over the world. D.C., Albany,
- 2:36Speaker 3: it's a cesspool of those politics up there.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I know, but swamp sounds better. Swamp sounds better. Why
- 2:44Speaker 1: are you scrapping? Tell us why you call it scrapping.
- 2:48Speaker 3: You're insulting the swamps all over the planet.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Oh, you're a swamp guy. You like swamps. Is that it?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Well, no, it's an insult. We have to have swamps
- 2:58Speaker 3: on the planet.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Well, you've got to have cesspools, too.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Well, that's what you've got in D.C.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And Albany.
- 3:06Speaker 1: All right, thanks for calling. Let's go to Neil in Brooklyn. Neil,
- 3:10Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Thank you, Mark.
- 3:14Speaker 5: You know, you talk about the Iranian president ducking questions
- 3:17Speaker 5: because he's in fear for his life. Did you ever
- 3:19Speaker 5: see Democrat senators duck questions about Piker and Abdul?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Well, that's just to avoid political controversy. But this Iranian
- 3:28Speaker 1: foreign minister, when he's on television, you can see this
- 3:30Speaker 1: guy's terrified. I mean, they'll just shoot him and execute
- 3:34Speaker 1: him in one second if he says the wrong word.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Even that U.N. speech. Remember that speaking at the U.N.,
- 3:40Speaker 1: the U.N. Iranian president? You could see him shaking. He
- 3:45Speaker 1: was like so terrified. One wrong word and they'll execute
- 3:47Speaker 1: you in Iran. Oh, let's go to Tom in Queens. Tom,
- 3:53Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 3:56Speaker 3: Hey, Mark, good morning.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 3: So when it comes to Trump barring the reporters from
- 4:01Speaker 3: the White House, why don't he just use the argument
- 4:04Speaker 3: that they're a national security threat?
- 4:06Speaker 4: He has.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Bring them into court.
- 4:07Speaker 3: He has.
- 4:08Speaker 1: When they go into discovery. Yeah, listen to me. They've
- 4:10Speaker 1: used it. They've used it. They've used it. And what
- 4:14Speaker 1: they're referring to is a couple of reporters leaked out stuff,
- 4:17Speaker 1: classified stuff. So they're going to use all the arguments
- 4:20Speaker 1: in court. But we'll see what happens. Let's go to
- 4:23Speaker 1: Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 4:25Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I had a call screener, Izzy,
- 4:28Speaker 4: cracking up when I said this. This is what I do.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Want to know what I did to a teacher when
- 4:33Speaker 4: I was young in grammar school?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Oh, I hate to ask. What?
- 4:36Speaker 4: It was Teacher Appreciation Day, and I brought the teacher
- 4:40Speaker 4: a bouquet of flowers. Each flower was laced with black pepper.
- 4:45Speaker 4: And I told the teacher, I said, go ahead, sniff
- 4:47Speaker 4: the flowers, smell the bouquet. Well, she did. It went
- 4:51Speaker 4: up her nose, in her eyes. They called me down
- 4:54Speaker 4: to the principal's office. My mother had to come up
- 4:57Speaker 4: to school and get me. And when they got me home,
- 5:02Speaker 4: it didn't end pretty well for me. Mark, yesterday I
- 5:06Speaker 4: heard on WOR News that what the Democrats wanted to
- 5:10Speaker 4: do on a national level with the AI, control it.
- 5:14Speaker 4: The city council already, there's two bills on Julia Menon's desk.
- 5:19Speaker 4: that you have to use city-approved AI software, and there's
- 5:25Speaker 4: a rat law. Any employee working in a business where
- 5:30Speaker 4: they're not using city-approved AI software They're going to fine
- 5:36Speaker 4: the business, and the rat will get half of the
- 5:39Speaker 4: money of the fine. Now, I wonder if this is
- 5:44Speaker 4: who promulgated this law, and if this common-sense Democrat, so-called
- 5:51Speaker 4: Julia Menon, Julia Menon is going to sign it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: No, it makes perfect sense. It makes perfect sense, because
- 5:58Speaker 1: obviously they're handing out a contract for the software. in
- 6:00Speaker 1: exchange for massive donations.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 6:04Speaker 1: That's all it's about. Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Government 101. Once again. Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Great call, Vincent. Thanks for calling. Yeah. When you hand
- 6:12Speaker 1: out these massive contracts in exchange for huge donation to
- 6:16Speaker 1: your packs and your campaigns, you got to make sure
- 6:19Speaker 1: everybody uses the software. So that's why those restrictions. Oh,
- 6:23Speaker 1: when we come back, Bill O'Reilly normally on Tuesdays, but
- 6:26Speaker 1: he had to move to Monday this week. So we'll
- 6:28Speaker 1: talk to Bill O'Reilly. He'll be with us next. on 710WOR.
