- 0:29Speaker 3: Awesome This is KSEV Morning. And now Craig Collins and
- 0:36Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcefino. I always forget about Dana Lash, and I
- 0:39Speaker 3: asked her to do that. This is Craig Collins, and
- 0:43Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcefino is on special assignment at the moment. He
- 0:45Speaker 3: will be back any second. I think he just stepped
- 0:48Speaker 3: away from his position. We welcome the lieutenant governor of
- 0:52Speaker 3: the state of Texas, Lieutenant Dan, who has an incredible
- 0:56Speaker 3: podcast that I've been watching on YouTube, but it's all
- 0:59Speaker 3: over the place. Lieutenant Governor, welcome to the show.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Hey, thank you, Craig, and welcome.
- 1:04Speaker 5: I know you've been on the station for a while,
- 1:06Speaker 5: but taking over the morning, and we're excited about that.
- 1:09Speaker 5: I appreciate that. And same thing with Wayne. I think
- 1:12Speaker 5: his special assignment must be down the hall, I would assume.
- 1:18Speaker 5: His special assignment.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that's another way to say it, sir.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:23Speaker 3: So let's start with a conversation about the oddness of,
- 1:28Speaker 3: but I think a very smart decision, a midterm convention.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Do you mind starting there with your belief on what
- 1:34Speaker 3: will happen over the next two days?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Sure.
- 1:37Speaker 5: In fact, I'm heading to catch a plane now to
- 1:40Speaker 5: go up there. It's a jam-packed schedule the next couple
- 1:43Speaker 5: of days, and I'm honored to have a chance to
- 1:45Speaker 5: speak at the convention tomorrow afternoon sometime. But the president
- 1:51Speaker 5: came up with this idea, and I know you said
- 1:54Speaker 5: you watched the podcast, so I'll plug that in a second.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:57Speaker 5: I talked to him about this, about he's the idea guy.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Whether it's Trump accounts, it's the Gulf of America, Lake America,
- 2:06Speaker 5: it's the Space Force, it's now the Space Academy. He's
- 2:11Speaker 5: always thinking of something out of the box. And we
- 2:14Speaker 5: were talking back in June, I guess it was, and
- 2:17Speaker 5: he shared this idea with me. And I said, I
- 2:20Speaker 5: think it's a great idea. And by the way, where
- 2:22Speaker 5: are you going to hold it? And he said, well,
- 2:24Speaker 5: we're looking at a couple of cities. I said, well, Dallas,
- 2:26Speaker 5: Texas is the place to do it, or Houston, Texas,
- 2:28Speaker 5: a big city in Texas. And so they came to
- 2:32Speaker 5: the right place because it will be a great event.
- 2:35Speaker 5: And it is a national convention, the first ever midterm.
- 2:39Speaker 5: And for people who don't know how those things work,
- 2:42Speaker 5: normally what happens to go to the normal convention convention
- 2:45Speaker 5: they have every four years, you know, you become a
- 2:48Speaker 5: delegate at your local level and you become a delegate
- 2:50Speaker 5: to your state convention and you're chosen as a delegate
- 2:52Speaker 5: to the national convention. So this was an expedited process
- 2:56Speaker 5: for that process. And then most of the people who
- 3:00Speaker 5: will be coming will be coming, uh, as part of,
- 3:03Speaker 5: you know, just the citizens of Texas or around the
- 3:05Speaker 5: country who are coming in for the convention. So, uh, it's,
- 3:08Speaker 5: it's going to be two days of lots of speakers.
- 3:10Speaker 5: I think we have a hundred and, and, uh, nine
- 3:13Speaker 5: speakers in two days, starting this afternoon later. And the
- 3:18Speaker 5: president will speak, J.D. Vance will speak, Don Jr. will speak,
- 3:23Speaker 5: Mike Johnson, all the leaders of the party and all
- 3:28Speaker 5: the candidates who are running across the state. You know, Craig,
- 3:30Speaker 5: I gave a speech yesterday in Baytown And I centered
- 3:35Speaker 5: it around our flag. And I just heard Ben Struzan's editorial,
- 3:38Speaker 5: which was great. And I centered it around the flag.
- 3:41Speaker 5: And I said, you know, both parties, quite frankly, I
- 3:43Speaker 5: don't care about the other side, but they're in disarray.
- 3:46Speaker 5: And our party's not in disarray, but there are definitely
- 3:49Speaker 5: some people that aren't all in agreement. And people have
- 3:52Speaker 5: got to put that aside. And they've got to look
- 3:54Speaker 5: at that Texas flag, as I did yesterday when we
- 3:56Speaker 5: did the pledge. And I thought about this, that that
- 3:59Speaker 5: flag represents who we are. And we're not a communist party.
- 4:03Speaker 2: State.
- 4:04Speaker 5: We're not a socialist state. It represents who we are
- 4:08Speaker 5: in our faith. We're a state with a great belief.
- 4:12Speaker 5: We're a state now that has school choice because we
- 4:14Speaker 5: believe in parental choice. We're a state that believes in
- 4:17Speaker 5: protecting your guns, the Second Amendment. We're a state that
- 4:20Speaker 5: believes in all of these things in common, and I'm
- 4:22Speaker 5: including moderate Democrats. There aren't many left. But the opposite side,
- 4:28Speaker 5: the other side here with Tallarico and my opponent and
- 4:31Speaker 5: Abbott's opponent, They voted against all of these things. I mean,
- 4:35Speaker 5: they voted for boys to be in girls' sports. They
- 4:37Speaker 5: voted for a state income tax. They voted for a
- 4:39Speaker 5: capital gains tax. They voted for a death tax. They
- 4:42Speaker 5: voted to take your guns away. They voted against school choice.
- 4:46Speaker 5: I can go down the list. I'd be here until
- 4:48Speaker 5: 9 o'clock. And so people have to understand of who
- 4:52Speaker 5: we are. So right now, it's not about electing Republicans
- 4:56Speaker 5: and Democrats. It's about darkness and light. It's about It's
- 5:02Speaker 5: about what is right and what is wrong. And it's
- 5:05Speaker 5: about you, the voter. It's not about me. It's not
- 5:08Speaker 5: about re-electing me. It's not about re-electing Greg Abbott or
- 5:11Speaker 5: Ken Paxton or re-electing any other. It's about you as
- 5:14Speaker 5: a citizen and what values do you hold. And look
- 5:19Speaker 5: at the policy and you put the people aside. You
- 5:21Speaker 5: just have to do that. And if we don't win
- 5:24Speaker 5: this election, if we send Tallarico to Washington for six
- 5:28Speaker 5: years and He will be the person who tries to
- 5:31Speaker 5: lead and build their party in Texas. And we don't
- 5:34Speaker 5: want someone who is absolutely 100% against everything the listeners
- 5:38Speaker 5: today listening are for. So we have to come together.
- 5:42Speaker 5: And that's the reason for this convention, not just here
- 5:46Speaker 5: in Texas. I mean, it's in Texas, but it's for
- 5:47Speaker 5: the whole country because we have key races everywhere to
- 5:50Speaker 5: hold the House and hold the U.S.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Senate.
- 5:52Speaker 5: So that's the purpose of the convention. I think it's
- 5:55Speaker 5: a brilliant idea. It's never been done. And here's my guess.
- 5:58Speaker 5: It will be done every time by both parties moving forward.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Sure.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Wayne, what did you want to say to Lieutenant Governor?
- 6:04Speaker 7: Hey, Wayne.
- 6:04Speaker 8: Hey, Wayne.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Good morning, Lieutenant Governor.
- 6:06Speaker 5: I'm so excited that you're on board. This is awesome.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you. It's great to be here. And by
- 6:11Speaker 2: the way, I have no idea who's even running against you,
- 6:13Speaker 2: which I think speaks volumes about you.
- 6:15Speaker 9: And we don't care.
- 6:16Speaker 2: And I'm not saying it, and we don't really care,
- 6:18Speaker 2: but I would like to ask you, look, Ken Paxton
- 6:22Speaker 2: is not Dan Patrick in the sense that you're a communicator, right?
- 6:26Speaker 10: You.
- 6:28Speaker 2: you just did in 30 seconds the best sort of
- 6:31Speaker 2: explanation for the fact that we're like logical and they're crazy, right?
- 6:35Speaker 2: But what does Ken Paxton have to do? Because, you know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: and not to be mean or anything, he's not like
- 6:41Speaker 2: the most charismatic speaker. What does he have to do tonight?
- 6:46Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a great question, Wayne. And let me go
- 6:48Speaker 5: back to that first thing when you said you don't care,
- 6:50Speaker 5: you don't know who's running against me or Abbott who's–
- 6:53Speaker 5: And here is why I'm working so hard. I'm doing
- 6:56Speaker 5: another 100-city bus tour. I'm never stopping until the election
- 7:00Speaker 5: day to be sure that we win as a party
- 7:05Speaker 5: and that I win. But here's the thing. No one
- 7:08Speaker 5: knows who they are. Yesterday when I was at that
- 7:10Speaker 5: Baytown speech, I do it everywhere. Raise your hand if
- 7:12Speaker 5: you know who's running against Greg Abbott. There were 200
- 7:14Speaker 5: people yesterday, maybe five. Raise your hand against me. It
- 7:17Speaker 5: was even less, three or four. But the race is
- 7:20Speaker 5: still within the margin of error. Wayne, the race when
- 7:24Speaker 5: you see these polls where Abbott's up one, I'm up one,
- 7:27Speaker 5: I'm up two, I'm down one, Abbott's even. That's real.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Those are real polls. And there's a lot of junk
- 7:33Speaker 5: polls out there. You say, well, how can that happen?
- 7:35Speaker 5: It's because the other side isn't voting for anybody. They're
- 7:39Speaker 5: not even voting for any policy. They're just voting because
- 7:42Speaker 5: of the Democrats. And in the state, we have about
- 7:45Speaker 5: a 10-point advantage. If you poll, you normally poll about
- 7:49Speaker 5: 43 percent of Republicans, about 32 percent of– or 33
- 7:53Speaker 5: percent of Democrats, and the rest you poll are independent.
- 7:55Speaker 5: That's kind of the breakdown. And so we do have
- 7:59Speaker 5: that edge. So my unknown person who's running and Abbott's
- 8:03Speaker 5: unknown person, they're still going to get walking in the
- 8:06Speaker 5: door 35 to 40 percent of the vote. And it
- 8:09Speaker 5: could be Daffy Duck on the ticket. It doesn't matter.
- 8:12Speaker 5: So this is a wave election, and they're just angry
- 8:15Speaker 5: at Republicans. They're angry at the president. They're angry at everything.
- 8:19Speaker 5: And they've been taken over by the socialists and a
- 8:22Speaker 5: strong wing of the communists. And that's what it's about.
- 8:24Speaker 5: And every person running as a Democrat, every person will
- 8:28Speaker 5: have to salute that flag if they win, James Tyler
- 8:32Speaker 5: Rick or anybody else. So it's the reason– look, I'm
- 8:36Speaker 5: in a tight race. I've never been in this tight
- 8:38Speaker 5: of a race in a general election. I've been in
- 8:40Speaker 5: some top primaries, and we've won them. And I believe
- 8:43Speaker 5: in the end, Paxton, Abbott, and I win, but we
- 8:47Speaker 5: can't take anything for granted. And for the Cornyn voters
- 8:51Speaker 5: who say, well, I'm not voting, and some other voters
- 8:55Speaker 5: who are mad about this issue or that issue, it
- 8:57Speaker 5: puts the race closer than it should be. And heaven
- 9:00Speaker 5: forbid we have a blue state here in Texas.
- 9:02Speaker 11: The country's through.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Yeah, terrified.
- 9:03Speaker 7: So Wayne, now to your questions.
- 9:07Speaker 5: To the question you asked. And I know you're helping me, Craig,
- 9:10Speaker 5: get off the air because I've got to go catch
- 9:11Speaker 5: a plane. But I really wanted to lay that out
- 9:13Speaker 5: for you. It doesn't matter who we're running against. We
- 9:16Speaker 5: have to run a strong campaign and win and get
- 9:18Speaker 5: our vote out. That's the key.
- 9:19Speaker 7: Get the vote out.
- 9:20Speaker 5: So what Ken Paxton has to do, first of all,
- 9:23Speaker 5: he's got to get $ 100 million. The president asked me
- 9:25Speaker 5: a couple of weeks ago, what does he need? He
- 9:28Speaker 5: needs $ 100 million. $ 100 million. It's expensive to run in Texas.
- 9:32Speaker 5: We have 19 TV markets. We have social media now
- 9:35Speaker 5: is more than half your budget. You've got to have
- 9:37Speaker 5: a video on Hulu and Netflix and Amazon and ESPN.
- 9:41Speaker 5: I mean, whatever you stream on, you've got to be there.
- 9:44Speaker 5: So it's got to be very expensive races. Ken is now,
- 9:48Speaker 5: the money is starting to come in from Washington, from
- 9:51Speaker 5: the MAGA PAC and from the Senate PAC. If he
- 9:53Speaker 5: has the money, which I believe he will now have,
- 9:56Speaker 5: you know, Tallarico's had an open field. He's like, Earl Campbell,
- 9:59Speaker 5: you know, in the old days running from the 10-yard
- 10:01Speaker 5: line to the end zone at the other place. You
- 10:03Speaker 5: couldn't catch him when he went out. Well, we're going
- 10:04Speaker 5: to catch Tallarico. But Tallarico has had no offense against him,
- 10:09Speaker 5: and now he's going to. So I believe that at
- 10:12Speaker 5: the end of the day, our advantage of Republicans over
- 10:15Speaker 5: Democrats in Texas will prevail. It will be a very
- 10:20Speaker 5: close race between the two of them. I believe Ken wins,
- 10:23Speaker 5: and he's working hard, and it's policy. People will come
- 10:30Speaker 5: down at the end of the day.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Policy.
- 10:33Speaker 5: I don't care how you're dressed, and I care how
- 10:35Speaker 5: your hair looks, and I care. It's about you, and
- 10:38Speaker 5: that's what my opening remark is. It's not about us.
- 10:41Speaker 5: It's about you, the listener. It's about you, the voter.
- 10:44Speaker 5: What do you want for your life? And so that's
- 10:47Speaker 5: why what Ken has to do is keep working, keep
- 10:50Speaker 5: raising the money, keep showing up everywhere around the state,
- 10:54Speaker 5: and that's.
- 10:55Speaker 7: How we win.
- 10:56Speaker 5: And we've got to tell the voters they've got to
- 10:59Speaker 5: turn out. There's no excuse for people saying, well, I'm
- 11:01Speaker 5: sitting this one out because I'm mad about this. And
- 11:04Speaker 5: I've had some voters tell me, hey, Dan, you had
- 11:07Speaker 5: a great session, most conservative ever, but this one really
- 11:09Speaker 5: makes me mad. Well, we passed nine out of the
- 11:13Speaker 5: ten of the top conservative bills, and if one doesn't–
- 11:16Speaker 5: I'm just using that as an example that, well, let's
- 11:20Speaker 5: look at the nine. Let's not look at the one.
- 11:22Speaker 5: And look, we have big issues. Property taxes still have
- 11:24Speaker 5: to come down. We've got to get our arms around
- 11:26Speaker 5: the data centers, the 765 lines, the affordability issue. I'm
- 11:31Speaker 5: going to lower the senior citizen tax. age from 65
- 11:36Speaker 5: to 55 where your appraisals and values are frozen. If
- 11:41Speaker 5: it's good enough for Denny's to get a Grand Slam
- 11:43Speaker 5: breakfast and be a senior at 55, it's good enough
- 11:46Speaker 5: for Texas. That will save homeowners thousands of dollars by
- 11:49Speaker 5: getting that value frozen 10 years earlier. I'm going to
- 11:51Speaker 5: cut home insurance, which is skyrocketing, by 30 to 50 percent.
- 11:56Speaker 5: And those are the biggest affordability issues. So I gave
- 11:59Speaker 5: you a long, long answer, but do we just have
- 12:02Speaker 5: to work? And I think people are going to wake up.
- 12:05Speaker 5: I think they're just going to wake up and say, yes,
- 12:09Speaker 5: maybe this issue I don't like or maybe I'm upset
- 12:11Speaker 5: about with that candidate or what. But at the end
- 12:13Speaker 5: of the day, Texans have to come home. The Republicans
- 12:17Speaker 5: have to come home. And the leaning independents. Look, the
- 12:19Speaker 5: Republicans are going to vote for Republicans. The Democrats are
- 12:21Speaker 5: going to vote for Democrats. It's the independents that matter.
- 12:25Speaker 5: And it's the Republicans who some are saying, I'm not
- 12:28Speaker 5: voting for Ken or I'm not coming out to vote
- 12:29Speaker 5: this time because I'm mad about this.
- 12:31Speaker 12: Amen.
- 12:32Speaker 3: I know that you had to get a plane. You
- 12:33Speaker 3: had to catch a plane. I do want to promote
- 12:35Speaker 3: your podcast, LT Dan Podcast, at LT Dan Podcast with
- 12:39Speaker 3: Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Dan. It's incredible. 1.4 million views,
- 12:44Speaker 3: your Trump interview. Riley Gaines was posted earlier today. Is
- 12:48Speaker 3: there anything you want to say about the podcast?
- 12:50Speaker 5: No, I'll just say that I started in July. You know,
- 12:53Speaker 5: I'd gone out to... to a TPUSA after Charlie Kirk
- 12:57Speaker 5: had been killed. And I went out there to give
- 13:00Speaker 5: them a million dollar check in Charlie's name because he
- 13:02Speaker 5: was a dear friend. And I wanted to support them
- 13:07Speaker 5: at that time. And I was on their podcast. And
- 13:09Speaker 5: I said, wait a minute, this is like talk radio
- 13:10Speaker 5: without the callers and without the commercials. I'd never been
- 13:13Speaker 5: on anybody's podcast. I said, I used to do this
- 13:16Speaker 5: for a living and this would be fun. So we
- 13:18Speaker 5: started it in July. So our guests have been We've
- 13:20Speaker 5: had Ken Paxton.
- 13:21Speaker 7: We've had Dr.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Carson on.
- 13:22Speaker 3: We've had Dr.
- 13:23Speaker 7: Phil on.
- 13:23Speaker 5: We've had Ted Cruz on. We've had people who people
- 13:27Speaker 5: don't know their names but have great stories. So Riley Gaines,
- 13:30Speaker 5: everyone knows today. She'll be on. We've got great guests
- 13:34Speaker 5: coming up all the way up until the election and
- 13:36Speaker 5: beyond that. And so Lieutenant Dan, LT Dan. Dot com
- 13:41Speaker 5: is our website or our tenant channel on YouTube. We
- 13:44Speaker 5: are now in the top 2% after two months, Craig.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Top 2% of all podcasts in the country. We've gone
- 13:52Speaker 5: from no subscribers to about 65,000 in about six weeks.
- 13:57Speaker 5: And we're averaging about 600,000 to 700,000 viewers now. since Dr. Phil,
- 14:02Speaker 5: Peg Cruz, and President Trump. And Raleigh Gaines will have
- 14:06Speaker 5: a great audience.
- 14:07Speaker 7: It's fun.
- 14:07Speaker 5: It's just a conversation like this. I don't talk as much, though.
- 14:10Speaker 5: I let them do the talking. Hey, guys, I appreciate it.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Catch the plane.
- 14:14Speaker 7: Hey, I'm really.
- 14:15Speaker 5: truly excited that you guys are on the morning. The
- 14:18Speaker 5: morning show of any talk station is the key to
- 14:21Speaker 5: start the day. And in the past, we've had great
- 14:23Speaker 5: morning hosts along all those. Once upon a time, I
- 14:26Speaker 5: used to do the mornings. And then there was Ed Hendy.
- 14:28Speaker 5: And then there was Chris Salcedo. And now there are
- 14:30Speaker 5: the two of you. And I know you guys are
- 14:32Speaker 5: doing a great job. So thank you.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Thank you, sir.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Thanks, Lieutenant Governor.
- 14:37Speaker 11: I appreciate it.
- 14:38Speaker 7: Bye, Wayne.
- 14:39Speaker 5: Wayne, you and I go back a long, long time
- 14:41Speaker 5: since the first time I got here in 1979. So
- 14:42Speaker 5: glad we were here.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yes, we do. We've been cranking about the same amount
- 14:49Speaker 2: of time, and I wish you the best. I really do, because,
- 14:53Speaker 2: I mean, you're right. There is a very stark question afoot,
- 14:57Speaker 2: and folks better come around and figure it out.
- 15:01Speaker 13: All right.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Well, thank you very much.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Yeah, this is an election that gets better after it's
- 15:05Speaker 5: over if the other side wins. It'll be a takeover
- 15:08Speaker 5: of Texas as a country.
- 15:09Speaker 1: All right.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Thanks, guys.
- 15:10Speaker 2: All right.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Thank you. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, this is KSEV Mornings.
- 15:14Speaker 3: He is Wayne Dolcefino. I am Craig Collins. That was
- 15:17Speaker 3: a lot of fun. And, Wayne, you're only here for, like,
- 15:20Speaker 3: one more segment, and you've got to bounce to go
- 15:22Speaker 3: to court, right?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got to be in court. I'm hoping to
- 15:25Speaker 2: get arrested because it's a Wednesday.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a Wednesday. All right, a quick break. A

- 18:24Speaker 3: KSEV Mornings. This is The Voice of Texas. My name
- 18:29Speaker 3: is Craig Collins. He is, unless he wants to say
- 18:31Speaker 3: his name himself. No, he doesn't. Wayne Dolcefino. He will
- 18:35Speaker 3: have to go in about five or six minutes because
- 18:38Speaker 3: he's being forced into court. Someone is trying to get
- 18:41Speaker 3: him again. I don't know the right way to say that,
- 18:44Speaker 3: but it feels like people are after you all the time.
- 18:46Speaker 2: You know what? Fine. Come on. You know, I used
- 18:49Speaker 2: to worry about getting whacked by someone in the old days.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Now I'm almost 70. And my view is, even if
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'm whacked walking out of my office this morning, I
- 19:01Speaker 2: would have had a pretty good run.
- 19:03Speaker 3: I think you'd be big news. It'd probably make national news.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcefino whacked if he got shot.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I would get in the paper.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I don't even know if I'd be in the paper
- 19:12Speaker 3: if I got shot.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I can almost guarantee you. It would be blank, you're
- 19:16Speaker 2: all blank, got blanked in the blank hundred block of blank.
- 19:21Speaker 2: is what it would be.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Thanks, boy.
- 19:23Speaker 11: Thanks.
- 19:24Speaker 2: It wouldn't even be like, they probably wouldn't even have
- 19:27Speaker 2: any video.
- 19:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yeah, who knows? Unless the flock camera was going.
- 19:31Speaker 2: That's right.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Then you never know. There is a really interesting Tallarico ad,
- 19:37Speaker 3: or excuse me, it's a Paxton ad taking a shot
- 19:39Speaker 3: at Tallarico that's out now. It's going viral because it
- 19:43Speaker 3: actually does lay out all the crazy things that Tallarico
- 19:46Speaker 3: says and believes. I'll probably play that after the break.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I don't need to play that. now, but we can
- 19:51Speaker 3: play that in about 10 minutes or so. But I
- 19:53Speaker 3: will say this about talking to Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. Wayne,
- 19:57Speaker 3: you seem to like light up in the sense that
- 20:00Speaker 3: his message is exactly the message you want to be
- 20:04Speaker 3: delivered at the convention.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and look, I'm not saying this because of the
- 20:08Speaker 2: radio station and whatever. I'm serious. Dan Patrick is a
- 20:13Speaker 2: great communicator who can, in 30 seconds, lay out Five
- 20:19Speaker 2: or six really tangible ways we have made people's lives better.
- 20:25Speaker 2: You've got to get over the media shield, right? If
- 20:30Speaker 2: you look at the media, all they're focused on is
- 20:35Speaker 2: to find the five-second offhand Trump being Trump out of
- 20:42Speaker 2: a 20-minute speech.
- 20:43Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 20:44Speaker 2: So two things have to happen, and I'm serious, and
- 20:48Speaker 2: I enjoy the president's humor, okay? I get the joke
- 20:52Speaker 2: a lot, but a lot of people are Karens, right?
- 20:55Speaker 2: And they get all whiny and stuff. I personally get it,
- 20:59Speaker 2: but I think what you need is a red meat
- 21:02Speaker 2: speech that doesn't include, like, the stupid stuff. And I
- 21:09Speaker 2: call it the stupid stuff. I get it. We're going
- 21:12Speaker 2: to call something, we're going to change the name of
- 21:14Speaker 2: Greenland or Lake, whatever it is, Ontario. I get all that.
- 21:19Speaker 2: But I think this is an opportunity to get a
- 21:23Speaker 2: lot of eyeballs on you. And I think it's important
- 21:28Speaker 2: to show people that we are adults and that we
- 21:32Speaker 2: are the ones that have the ideas, the only ideas
- 21:37Speaker 2: that make sense. We can all agree that housing is
- 21:40Speaker 2: screwed up. We can all agree that health care is
- 21:43Speaker 2: screwed up, but we've got to be willing to tackle
- 21:46Speaker 2: the insurance companies and all that kind of stuff. But
- 21:51Speaker 2: there's a lot of things that have positively happened, and
- 21:55Speaker 2: there's a lot of money coming in, and it's showing
- 21:58Speaker 2: up in the jobs numbers, and people have to appreciate
- 22:03Speaker 2: that we're coming out of it. The problem with Iran
- 22:07Speaker 2: is I'm fine. Every time Iran fires a missile at us,
- 22:12Speaker 2: let's blow up five of their tankers. Fine. That doesn't
- 22:16Speaker 2: cost us that much money. I had a cruise missile
- 22:19Speaker 2: here or there. Why not? So I'm not– people are
- 22:23Speaker 2: freaking out because they're being told that the gas prices
- 22:28Speaker 2: have set them over the edge. When eggs were eight
- 22:31Speaker 2: bucks an egg, right, it was more than a tank
- 22:36Speaker 2: of gas.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Get over it. Right.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Seriously, get over it. I think that's absolutely right. And
- 22:41Speaker 3: I do think it's really interesting that both you and
- 22:43Speaker 3: the lieutenant governor and a lot of people out there
- 22:46Speaker 3: can easily realize the successes of the campaign, the successes
- 22:50Speaker 3: of the administration. And it's just not wanting that one
- 22:54Speaker 3: moment that the media's people are waiting for, for them
- 22:58Speaker 3: to clip it and put it everywhere, that to anyone
- 23:00Speaker 3: not paying attention will be the total story because it
- 23:03Speaker 3: won't be the whole story. By and large, I believe
- 23:06Speaker 3: this convention will tell. The important story that is Republicans
- 23:10Speaker 3: have actually done a pretty good job and they're likely
- 23:13Speaker 3: to do an even better job if you leave them
- 23:14Speaker 3: in power.
- 23:15Speaker 2: So I would also suggest that from a showman's perspective,
- 23:19Speaker 2: that the visual we should invite Republican voters of all
- 23:24Speaker 2: stripes onto the stage and show America that, first of all,
- 23:30Speaker 2: like we're not like fascists and Nazis and stuff like this.
- 23:34Speaker 2: That's nonsense, right? But let's get a cross-section of the people.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Let's focus on the growing cultural issues that help us
- 23:43Speaker 2: with voters. Because even if people are frustrated with prices,
- 23:48Speaker 2: and I do think that both parties have to be
- 23:51Speaker 2: a little more honest about that, that there are some
- 23:53Speaker 2: things we can do and some things we can't. And
- 23:56Speaker 2: the goal is to get you jobs, right? And maybe
- 24:01Speaker 2: find ways to reduce the amount of money you need
- 24:04Speaker 2: to get into a house. maybe provide tax credits for
- 24:08Speaker 2: people who have a child or a married couple. There's
- 24:12Speaker 2: got to be ways in the tax code we can
- 24:15Speaker 2: write off more stuff, maybe write off the down payment.
- 24:19Speaker 3: He's just giving people $ 1, 000 to have a kid, too,
- 24:22Speaker 3: by the way. You just get a nice Trump account
- 24:23Speaker 3: with some money in it when you have a child.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I'm going to have one.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Congratulations, man. I'm going to have a kid, too.
- 24:30Speaker 11: Yeah, there you go.
- 24:30Speaker 2: I'm going to have a kid.
- 24:32Speaker 8: There you go.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Why not? But look, this is really, when we make
- 24:36Speaker 2: America great again, is actually right, right? What the Democrats
- 24:42Speaker 2: have tried to do, as they do with every Republican
- 24:44Speaker 2: that's in office, is to vilify them, right? George Bush
- 24:49Speaker 2: was a butcher. Donald Trump is the Mad King. That's
- 24:53Speaker 2: what they do. The playbook is so obvious. And at
- 24:57Speaker 2: some point, People need to sort of say to themselves,
- 25:01Speaker 2: this is what they do every time. There is not
- 25:05Speaker 2: a Republican that's run that the Democrats don't call a killer,
- 25:09Speaker 2: a fascist or or a nut job.
- 25:12Speaker 13: Right.
- 25:12Speaker 2: So we know what they say.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Right.
- 25:15Speaker 2: What have we done?
- 25:17Speaker 15: Right.
- 25:18Speaker 2: With a Congress where half the people are those people.
- 25:23Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Great point. I got nothing else for you, man. Absolutely true.
- 25:27Speaker 16: All right.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcevino, I know you've got to go. You've got
- 25:30Speaker 3: to go show up in court. But thank you very
- 25:32Speaker 3: much for being a part of the show every day,
- 25:34Speaker 3: all the time.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Come see me. I'll be live in Montgomery County Courthouse,
- 25:39Speaker 2: the cozy courthouse. I'll be live there saying hi to
- 25:43Speaker 2: all my lawyer and judge friends.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Do we have you tomorrow here back on the show?
- 25:47Speaker 2: You know what? You have to beg tonight. Call me tonight.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I call. I will.
- 25:54Speaker 2: And beg. I will. Okay.
- 25:56Speaker 3: No problem.
- 25:57Speaker 2: And we can talk about the Paxton speech.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Okay. We'll do it. All right. Talk to you later.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcefino, the voice of Texas, KCV Mornings, Craig and Wayne,
- 26:06Speaker 3: back in a bit.

- 28:06Speaker 8: Hi, I'm Tommy Mello with Garage Door Doctors. My mom
- 28:08Speaker 8: recently moved into a new home with a builder-grade garage door. Noisy, flimsy,
- 28:12Speaker 8: and not built to last, so we're fixing that. Mom,
- 28:15Speaker 8: you're my hero. When I was growing up, she worked
- 28:17Speaker 8: three jobs just to save our house.
- 28:19Speaker 19: And helped you build this company.
- 28:21Speaker 8: Now I'm giving her a beautiful new garage door that's
- 28:23Speaker 8: built to last. The garage is 40% of your home's
- 28:26Speaker 8: curb appeal. When it looks good and it works great.
- 28:28Speaker 7: Life is good.
- 28:29Speaker 19: Thanks, Tommy.
- 28:30Speaker 8: From repairs to upgrades, call Garage Door Doctor today.
- 28:37Speaker 17: From the KSEV Weather Center, today will bring partly sunny
- 28:40Speaker 17: skies with high humidity and the possibility of a thunderstorm
- 28:43Speaker 17: in the afternoon reaching a high of 90. Tonight, expect
- 28:45Speaker 17: a chance of a thunderstorm in some areas during the evening. Otherwise,
- 28:49Speaker 17: skies will be partly cloudy and humid with a low
- 28:51Speaker 17: of 76. Tomorrow, we'll see a mix of sunshine and
- 28:53Speaker 17: clouds with humidity persisting along with the chance of afternoon
- 28:56Speaker 17: and evening thunderstorms and spots on a high of 91.
- 28:58Speaker 17: Moving into Friday, anticipate partly sunny conditions with high humidity
- 29:02Speaker 17: and the possibility of afternoon and evening thunderstorms and spots
- 29:05Speaker 17: with a high of 95. With the KSCV Weather Center forecast,
- 29:08Speaker 17: I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 29:13Speaker 19: KSCV Morning. My name is Craig Collins.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Wayne Del Cefino is now officially actually on special assignment. Thrilled.
- 29:36Speaker 3: So much to have you with us toward the tail
- 29:38Speaker 3: end of the show. Let me hit a button over here.
- 29:40Speaker 3: So this actually is showing me. There we go. All right.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Let's do a lot of stuff. I do want to
- 29:46Speaker 3: talk about the lieutenant governor's podcast, which I desperately wanted
- 29:50Speaker 3: to ask him more questions about. He was very kind
- 29:52Speaker 3: at the tail end of the interview we did about
- 29:54Speaker 3: a half hour ago that you can find in our podcast,
- 29:57Speaker 3: which will be up all over the place. just shortly
- 30:00Speaker 3: after the show today in thinking that I was trying
- 30:03Speaker 3: to interrupt him to let him catch his flight because
- 30:06Speaker 3: we were trying to let him catch his flight. But
- 30:07Speaker 3: I also did want to ask him about his podcast
- 30:10Speaker 3: and the 1.4 million views that he got for the
- 30:13Speaker 3: Trump interview that he did, the President Trump interview. I
- 30:17Speaker 3: don't know why I said that. There are other Trumps,
- 30:19Speaker 3: but of course, you probably figured out which Trump he
- 30:22Speaker 3: talked to. That was all over the place. It was
- 30:25Speaker 3: even covered by a lot of media. A of Lieutenant
- 30:30Speaker 3: Governor's conversation with the president leading up to this convention
- 30:35Speaker 3: that's taking place today and tomorrow in Dallas, which I
- 30:38Speaker 3: also really wanted to go to. And we couldn't figure
- 30:41Speaker 3: out how to get that done this year, but hopefully
- 30:43Speaker 3: next time they have one of these, darn it, Wayne
- 30:45Speaker 3: and I are there. But nonetheless, what I think is
- 30:48Speaker 3: so interesting about the ability for the Lieutenant Governor to
- 30:54Speaker 3: utilize his broadcast skills, which are Obviously pretty significant. If
- 30:58Speaker 3: you're listening to this station, you're probably aware of just
- 31:01Speaker 3: how good he is at that. And to go as
- 31:03Speaker 3: viral as he has on the internet and on YouTube,
- 31:06Speaker 3: it shows us the value, I think, of every single
- 31:12Speaker 3: podcast slash conversation medium that's out there. And so in
- 31:17Speaker 3: that sense, I will also say you can find everything
- 31:20Speaker 3: that we do now on social media. You can find
- 31:22Speaker 3: it on YouTube, on Facebook, on a lot of different places.
- 31:26Speaker 3: So please go to KSEV's places, too, to check out
- 31:30Speaker 3: everything that we're doing, because I do think it's pretty significant.
- 31:33Speaker 3: But one more time, also check out at LT Dan.
- 31:38Speaker 3: So Lieutenant Governor at LT Dan podcast on YouTube or
- 31:43Speaker 3: anywhere else, because it's just an excellent freaking show. It
- 31:46Speaker 3: just absolutely is. And it's the kind of thing that
- 31:49Speaker 3: I believe probably enough people are not paying attention to,
- 31:53Speaker 3: but should be paying attention to. And hopefully that changes soon.
- 31:57Speaker 3: I do want to play another thing. There's a lot
- 31:59Speaker 3: of Tallarico audio that's out there. And some of this
- 32:03Speaker 3: Tallarico audio, to me, is pretty much a perfect demonstration
- 32:08Speaker 3: of the piece of crap person that he is. And
- 32:10Speaker 3: so there's probably not a better way to start that
- 32:13Speaker 3: than to actually play the brand new campaign ad that's
- 32:17Speaker 3: out there that is going after Tallarico for all the
- 32:20Speaker 3: crazy stuff he says and does. Because there's a whole
- 32:23Speaker 3: lot of it. that he says and does. So let's
- 32:25Speaker 3: play this first. A brand new ad. This is why
- 32:28Speaker 3: you need more money to be funneled into the Paxton campaign,
- 32:33Speaker 3: because they need to tell us who Tallarico actually is.
- 32:35Speaker 3: All right, hold on. Actually, let me make sure that
- 32:38Speaker 3: I switch this audio so you can hear it again,
- 32:40Speaker 3: because I was saying goodbye to Wayne. And now here
- 32:43Speaker 3: we go.
- 32:44Speaker 20: In the beginning, God was non-binary and he wasn't a Christian.
- 32:48Speaker 20: And God said, let there be six genders. And there were.
- 32:52Speaker 20: Then God so loved the world that he gave us
- 32:54Speaker 20: his only son, who is a radical feminist and never
- 32:57Speaker 20: asked people to worship him. Look, I always think of
- 33:00Speaker 20: myself as a Christian who hates Christianity.
- 33:03Speaker 3: He does.
- 33:03Speaker 1: James Tallarico, wrong for Texas.
- 33:06Speaker 20: America is not a Christian nation.
- 33:08Speaker 1: And wrong for America, too.
- 33:10Speaker 3: This is devastating. That is an AI created ad of
- 33:13Speaker 3: Tallarico himself reading from his version of the Bible that
- 33:17Speaker 3: says things in it that the rest of us are
- 33:18Speaker 3: unfamiliar with because it simply doesn't say those things. etc., etc.
- 33:22Speaker 3: There's so many examples here, so many moments here where
- 33:25Speaker 3: you actually see the person that Tallarico is. And as
- 33:29Speaker 3: I said before, and I was saying this to Wayne,
- 33:31Speaker 3: there are so many other clips that have gone viral.
- 33:34Speaker 3: One of the biggest things is probably this conversation he
- 33:37Speaker 3: did over the weekend where he talked to, I think
- 33:41Speaker 3: it was CBS, about some of his voting record. And
- 33:44Speaker 3: probably one of the biggest things in it, and you
- 33:45Speaker 3: heard the lieutenant governor reference this, but Tallarico was asked
- 33:49Speaker 3: and gave a very quick answer to a question about
- 33:52Speaker 3: voting to create income tax here in Texas. Tallarico was
- 33:57Speaker 3: one of several people that would rather see us start
- 34:00Speaker 3: to pay an income tax, which will never happen and
- 34:03Speaker 3: not be popular at all here in Texas. And thank
- 34:05Speaker 3: God people are in charge in the positions of power
- 34:08Speaker 3: they need to be in to prevent that. But nonetheless,
- 34:11Speaker 3: like if anything, we're disqualifying as far as a Texas
- 34:15Speaker 3: specific position that Tallarico has, it feels like this might
- 34:19Speaker 3: be it. And his excuse for why he decided to
- 34:22Speaker 3: vote the opposite way is that because it's banned already,
- 34:25Speaker 3: so it didn't matter. I'm voting for something I want,
- 34:27Speaker 3: but I know it won't happen. It was a very
- 34:30Speaker 3: quick back and forth, but I thought it was interesting.
- 34:32Speaker 6: The Republicans have said, you know, you voted against the
- 34:36Speaker 6: banning the state income tax back in 2019.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Why did you do that?
- 34:42Speaker 21: Because it's already banned.
- 34:44Speaker 6: But this would have banned it permanently. There's already a high.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you already voted against it, buddy. And you voted
- 34:50Speaker 3: and you wanted to have eventually a state income tax
- 34:52Speaker 3: come back. I love that excuse from Democrats, too, when
- 34:56Speaker 3: they vote for the thing they actually want and they
- 34:58Speaker 3: pretend they wouldn't have won anyway. So that's why they
- 35:00Speaker 3: voted for it. Here's more of the CBS interview.
- 35:02Speaker 6: I mean, in your bill back, House Bill 2206 on
- 35:06Speaker 6: the energy, you said there would be a transition to
- 35:09Speaker 6: the green economy and you would. want to replace lost jobs.
- 35:12Speaker 6: That doesn't suggest that there wouldn't be an impact on
- 35:15Speaker 6: oil and gas.
- 35:16Speaker 21: Well, this is why I was trying to work with
- 35:18Speaker 21: Republicans and Democrats alike in the legislature to make this
- 35:21Speaker 21: bill a reality. But the bill wasn't even given a hearing.
- 35:24Speaker 21: And as you know, covering the legislature bills when they
- 35:27Speaker 21: first introduced are a rough draft. And it's meant to
- 35:29Speaker 21: go through a process with stakeholders and with members of
- 35:32Speaker 21: both political parties. But folks in the state capitol didn't
- 35:35Speaker 21: want to have this conversation. And so the bill died
- 35:38Speaker 21: before it.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Even got to the committee.
- 35:39Speaker 21: And that's a real shame because I think there are
- 35:42Speaker 21: ways to both grow our oil and gas industry and
- 35:45Speaker 21: limit these emissions at the same time.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Yeah, there are ways to do one or the other, sir.
- 35:49Speaker 3: There are not ways to do both. And you know
- 35:51Speaker 3: that there's ways to do things that you would say
- 35:53Speaker 3: are green and things that we would actually want to
- 35:55Speaker 3: keep doing here in Texas. It's fascinating, though, because there again,
- 35:59Speaker 3: there are so many of these. There's an example of
- 36:01Speaker 3: him talking about the border that I.
- 36:03Speaker 12: Call a Christian and reject the stranger seeking asylum at
- 36:08Speaker 12: our southern border. You can't call yourself a Christian.
- 36:11Speaker 3: By the way, if you didn't hear that, you can't
- 36:13Speaker 3: call yourself a Christian and reject the stranger seeking asylum
- 36:16Speaker 3: at the border.
- 36:17Speaker 12: You can't call yourself a Christian and reject the stranger
- 36:20Speaker 12: seeking asylum at our southern border.
- 36:23Speaker 3: That was one that went viral somewhat recently. And even
- 36:26Speaker 3: on data centers, Tallarico made the accusation that Paxson is
- 36:33Speaker 3: bought and paid for by data centers themselves. I definitely
- 36:36Speaker 3: have a reaction to this. If anything may have landed...
- 36:39Speaker 3: with the audience as far as people who consumed the
- 36:43Speaker 3: eye on politics interview. It might have been this, but
- 36:46Speaker 3: I think it's for incredibly the wrong reason. But here
- 36:48Speaker 3: we go.
- 36:48Speaker 21: You shouldn't trust anything a politician says. You should look
- 36:51Speaker 21: at what a politician has done, because the best indicator
- 36:54Speaker 21: of future behavior is past behavior. Ken Paxton has taken
- 36:58Speaker 21: nearly half a million dollars linked to the data center industry.
- 37:03Speaker 21: And it's why he ignored residents in Hood County when
- 37:06Speaker 21: they asked for his help as attorney general. to pause
- 37:09Speaker 21: data center construction in their community.
- 37:10Speaker 3: He just ghosted them.
- 37:12Speaker 21: And that's because he's bought and paid for by the
- 37:14Speaker 21: data center industry. I don't take money from data centers.
- 37:17Speaker 21: I don't take money from the data center industry. I
- 37:18Speaker 21: don't take any money from corporate PACs. I am focused on.
- 37:22Speaker 3: He takes a ton of money from California and a
- 37:23Speaker 3: ton of money from outside of Texas that wants him
- 37:26Speaker 3: to win this race to change the makeup of the
- 37:29Speaker 3: Senate beyond Texas. The people who support Tallarico financially... are
- 37:35Speaker 3: by and large people who want absolutely bad things or
- 37:39Speaker 3: they don't care at all about the state of Texas.
- 37:41Speaker 3: But here's what I think is really interesting about talking
- 37:43Speaker 3: about the data centers. And I know people are up
- 37:46Speaker 3: in arms. I know they're upset about the idea in
- 37:49Speaker 3: a lot of places of it coming to their own community.
- 37:52Speaker 3: I think it's inevitable. I think that if you fast
- 37:55Speaker 3: forward 10, 15, 20 years, the ubiquity of data centers
- 38:00Speaker 3: is going to be off the charts. We're going to
- 38:02Speaker 3: see them in every community all over the place. And
- 38:05Speaker 3: if we want to blame anyone for that, we deserve
- 38:08Speaker 3: some of that blame because we will all utilize AI
- 38:12Speaker 3: and our military will need AI. Artificial intelligence will become...
- 38:18Speaker 3: I think Elon Musk, and they've been talking about it
- 38:20Speaker 3: a lot, is actually literally building robots that'll walk around
- 38:23Speaker 3: and function like humans and can do the day-to-day tasks.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I think he's calling it Optimus after Optimus Prime. But
- 38:30Speaker 3: that's a real thing. And I've heard the All In
- 38:32Speaker 3: podcast and other podcasts discuss... how it'll probably be the
- 38:36Speaker 3: best-selling thing that's ever existed in the history of the
- 38:40Speaker 3: world if it does come to fruition, that a robot
- 38:44Speaker 3: can function somewhat like a human and do day-to-day tasks
- 38:47Speaker 3: maybe at your house or something for you. And so
- 38:50Speaker 3: I just, I believe, and I don't necessarily like this,
- 38:54Speaker 3: but I believe that it's an inevitable future reality that
- 38:58Speaker 3: AI and data centers will be everywhere. And we don't
- 39:01Speaker 3: want to be behind on that fight.
- 39:04Speaker 15: We don't.
- 39:04Speaker 3: We want to be at the forefront of it. I
- 39:06Speaker 3: think I've heard some people, whether it's politicians or supporters,
- 39:10Speaker 3: even talk about this and say that it is literally
- 39:13Speaker 3: like the next version of striking oil as far as
- 39:16Speaker 3: data centers are concerned. I see we've got a full
- 39:18Speaker 3: set of phone calls. So we will go to the
- 39:21Speaker 3: phones for George, Mike, John, everybody holding on. We will
- 39:24Speaker 3: do that. We'll take a break. We'll come back from
- 39:26Speaker 3: the break. We'll close with all the phone calls. I
- 39:29Speaker 3: see that people want to talk about all kinds of things, Cornyn, Paxton,
- 39:32Speaker 3: groundwater issues. So that and more coming up in a bit.
- 39:36Speaker 3: This is KSEV Mornings. My name is Craig Collins. Wayne
- 39:39Speaker 3: Del Cefino now on special assignment, but he will be
- 39:42Speaker 3: back tomorrow on The Voice of Texas.
- 39:56Speaker 10: I've been talking for years about Chip Beresford and the
- 39:59Speaker 10: Pine Box and saving money during one of life's most

- 40:11Speaker 10: side of funerals and cremations with Beresford Funeral Service. Call

- 40:24Speaker 10: cremations with his own funeral home. The average cost of

- 40:37Speaker 10: on funerals and cremations without sacrificing quality or dignity. Haven't

- 40:56Speaker 15: Do you owe back taxes or have unfiled tax returns?
- 40:59Speaker 15: The IRS won't quit until they get your money. Here's
- 41:02Speaker 15: great news, fresh from those in the know. Major changes
- 41:05Speaker 15: have happened at the IRS. If you owe more than $ 10, 000,
- 41:08Speaker 15: you may be eligible for a 99% reduction of what
- 41:11Speaker 15: you owe. Haven't filed a return for a while? Their
- 41:14Speaker 15: happy clients are talking.
- 41:15Speaker 22: The IRS was going to levy my bank account, but
- 41:18Speaker 22: Guardian was able to prevent that and fix all my
- 41:20Speaker 22: IRS issues.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Thanks again, Guardian Tax.
- 41:23Speaker 15: Need relief from crushing tax debt? The IRS now has
- 41:26Speaker 15: special programs. Guardian Tax knows all about them, personal or business.

- 41:59Speaker 22: At O'Hara & Company Real Estate, we believe in God, family,
- 42:02Speaker 22: and country. In the past 50 years, people have been
- 42:04Speaker 22: trying to remove all three of those from our thinking.
- 42:07Speaker 22: Fight for what you believe in and protect your freedoms
- 42:10Speaker 22: before they're all taken away. Don't let anyone infringe on

- 42:25Speaker 22: God bless America, and God bless Texas.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Your home team for conservative talk radio, The Voice of Texas.
- 42:35Speaker 16: Do you need money? Want to lower your monthly debt?
- 42:38Speaker 16: Are you thinking about a cash-out refinance? Hi, it's Kathy
- 42:41Speaker 16: from Baker Mortgage. A cash-out refinance can get you back
- 42:45Speaker 16: in your comfort zone, and that's what it's all about.
- 42:48Speaker 16: A recent client who closed with us had his payment
- 42:50Speaker 16: go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo was being
- 42:55Speaker 16: reduced by $ 1, 200, so giving him a net positive cash
- 42:58Speaker 16: flow of $ 900. It's not about adding debt, but restructuring
- 43:03Speaker 16: it in a way that makes sense. And this math
- 43:05Speaker 16: totally makes sense. And please don't sweat it if your
- 43:08Speaker 16: interest rate is going up a little or if you're
- 43:11Speaker 16: extending the term. I can show you by taking a
- 43:14Speaker 16: small amount of what you're saving monthly and applying it
- 43:17Speaker 16: towards your mortgage, you're going to pay it off just
- 43:19Speaker 16: as quickly and you'll be way ahead in the money game,
- 43:22Speaker 16: which is where we all want to be, right? Remember,
- 43:25Speaker 16: we want to help you. But we're not going to
- 43:26Speaker 16: help you over a cliff. Baker Mortgage, 281-313-MOVE or go

- 43:49Speaker 13: if you're an adult with conditions like diabetes, asthma, or
- 43:52Speaker 13: heart disease, it can cause serious setbacks. Ask your doctor

- 44:04Speaker 3: Pfizer, out due yesterday. KFTV Mornings. The Voice of Texas.
- 44:17Speaker 3: My name is Craig Collins. Wayne Dolcefino will be back tomorrow.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Let's get right to the calls. We'll start with George
- 44:23Speaker 3: in Tombaugh. George, what do you want to say?
- 44:27Speaker 11: Thank you, Craig. First of all, I did vote for
- 44:29Speaker 11: John Cornyn. And there's a number of reasons why I
- 44:32Speaker 11: did that. I'm not going to go on to it.
- 44:34Speaker 11: But I could say that he's on a very short
- 44:37Speaker 11: list of politicians that is actually important. took the time
- 44:40Speaker 11: to help me in my personal life.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 44:43Speaker 11: And I can tell you most certainly if not for
- 44:45Speaker 11: John Cornyn, Senator John Cornyn, I would have been homeless.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Wow.
- 44:50Speaker 11: I was on the verge of losing everything.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Okay. I understand why you voted for him then. I'm
- 44:55Speaker 3: not even going to ask you.
- 44:56Speaker 11: Go ahead. But that being said, I would vote for
- 44:59Speaker 11: a ham sandwich if it had an R next to
- 45:02Speaker 11: it and I don't eat pork.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Instead of Tallarico, you would vote for a ham sandwich.
- 45:08Speaker 11: I would vote for anybody else because for a good
- 45:11Speaker 11: portion of my life, I can honestly say that I
- 45:13Speaker 11: was a socialist.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 45:15Speaker 7: Right?
- 45:15Speaker 11: And when I first started listening to KFCV, like 14
- 45:19Speaker 11: years ago on the afternoon program, I actually listened. I
- 45:24Speaker 11: didn't call and talk. I listened and said, let me
- 45:27Speaker 11: check that. Let me check that. Let me check that.
- 45:29Speaker 11: And it changed my opinion. It almost hurt me to
- 45:33Speaker 11: vote in the Republican primary. This is the first time
- 45:36Speaker 11: I've ever declared a party officially by voting. But I
- 45:40Speaker 11: can tell you what I expect now with the next
- 45:43Speaker 11: series of callers over the next month or so, they're
- 45:47Speaker 11: going to be bringing up all kinds of wild things
- 45:49Speaker 11: like water quality or what about this? What about that?
- 45:53Speaker 11: What about let's stick to the main subject?
- 45:55Speaker 2: Sure.
- 45:56Speaker 11: Let's vote for the person who's going to stay out
- 45:58Speaker 11: of my pocket.
- 45:59Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 45:59Speaker 11: Who's going to stay out of my way. And if
- 46:02Speaker 11: I want to be charitable, let me do that.
- 46:04Speaker 4: Amen.
- 46:04Speaker 11: You know, don't impose it on me. So anyway, that's
- 46:07Speaker 11: all I got to say. And thank you for letting
- 46:09Speaker 11: me speak.
- 46:10Speaker 2: Sure.
- 46:10Speaker 3: No problem. Thank you, George, for the phone call. We'll
- 46:12Speaker 3: shift to Mike, who is next on the line. Mike,
- 46:15Speaker 3: what do you want to say?
- 46:17Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 46:18Speaker 2: Enjoy your show.
- 46:19Speaker 4: Thank you very much.
- 46:21Speaker 7: So I'm one of those Republican-leaning independents that Dan Patrick mentioned.
- 46:26Speaker 7: I voted for John Cornyn in the primary, but I'm
- 46:29Speaker 7: going to support Kim Paxton in the general election, the
- 46:33Speaker 7: reason being we can't have Telerico, period.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Amen.
- 46:38Speaker 7: Telerico will be bad for the state. If Telerico wins,
- 46:43Speaker 7: we will probably lose the United States Senate overall because
- 46:47Speaker 7: that means there will be a huge wave. He's got
- 46:50Speaker 7: to be stopped. But I want to say one other thing.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Sure.
- 46:54Speaker 7: As an independent, I'm more conservative than most independents. But
- 46:58Speaker 7: the president doing thing, renaming make Ontario and renaming New
- 47:04Speaker 7: Mexico drives those independents bonkers. Not me.
- 47:08Speaker 11: Sure.
- 47:08Speaker 7: But the more moderate independents that drive those independents bonkers. Now,
- 47:12Speaker 7: some of it, like what your your comrade on the
- 47:16Speaker 7: show there says, some of it is the president's humor.
- 47:18Speaker 7: That's true. But that's the type of stuff that needs
- 47:22Speaker 7: to stop now, and we need to get serious and
- 47:25Speaker 7: have a red meat speech. Here's what we're going to do.
- 47:31Speaker 7: Here's what we've done. Here's what we're going to do.
- 47:34Speaker 7: No more of this namby-pamby type of stuff where we're
- 47:37Speaker 7: going to rename New Mexico.
- 47:39Speaker 2: I get it.
- 47:41Speaker 3: I want to ask you a question about that, though, Mike,
- 47:43Speaker 3: if you don't mind, because I think it's interesting. If
- 47:46Speaker 3: President Trump and this is something I did say to Wayne, too,
- 47:48Speaker 3: when we had this conversation earlier this week, did everything
- 47:52Speaker 3: that people say he should do as far as no
- 47:55Speaker 3: more trolling, no more offhand, whatever he says, if he
- 47:59Speaker 3: just acted by the book as presidential as humanly possible.
- 48:03Speaker 3: Don't you think a lot of media that has already
- 48:05Speaker 3: vilified him would just ignore it? And I think the
- 48:08Speaker 3: biggest thing that frustrates President Trump and I think the
- 48:11Speaker 3: reason that he carries himself the way that he does is.
- 48:14Speaker 3: is when his message is just ignored. And I believe
- 48:19Speaker 3: that the presidential version of Trump would only be seen
- 48:25Speaker 3: by the people who don't mind the crazy version of
- 48:28Speaker 3: Trump or the silly version or whatever you want to
- 48:30Speaker 3: call it. I don't think the presidential version would be
- 48:33Speaker 3: seen by enough people that you're talking about, which I
- 48:36Speaker 3: think is the double-edged sword of this discussion is you're
- 48:39Speaker 3: darned if you do and you're darned if you don't
- 48:41Speaker 3: because they won't talk about you if you behave quote unquote, correctly?
- 48:47Speaker 7: Well, no. Number one, Donald Trump's not going to behave correctly.
- 48:52Speaker 3: He's not.
- 48:54Speaker 7: He's not going to do that.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Right.
- 48:56Speaker 7: So but my problem is you're talking in a non-election
- 49:01Speaker 7: mode year. It's a different story.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Sure.
- 49:03Speaker 7: Now we're in election mode. We got the House and
- 49:06Speaker 7: the Senate up for grabs. The House is probably going
- 49:09Speaker 7: to go Democrat by a few votes. I don't know
- 49:12Speaker 7: how many, 10, 12, probably. The Senate's probably going to
- 49:17Speaker 7: be 51, 49 Republican, you know, when it's all said
- 49:19Speaker 7: and done. Now's not the time to be cute. Now's
- 49:23Speaker 7: the time to get serious.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Sure.
- 49:26Speaker 7: And people who are these independents or moderates, and Dan
- 49:31Speaker 7: Patrick did it right. Texas has got 10 to 12
- 49:33Speaker 7: percent independents. Now, they tend to be Republican-leaning independents.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 49:40Speaker 7: But stuff like that drives them crazy.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Sure.
- 49:43Speaker 7: They want the president to talk about the issues. Talk
- 49:46Speaker 7: about the big, beautiful bill. Talk about he extended the
- 49:50Speaker 7: tax cuts. Talk about those kind of things.
- 49:53Speaker 3: The closing of the border. Talk about the amount of
- 49:55Speaker 3: manufacturing coming back into our country, etc. Exactly.
- 49:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:59Speaker 7: Talk about those successes. You know, talk about the stock
- 50:03Speaker 7: market at all times.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Sure.
- 50:05Speaker 7: Talk about those kind of things. That's what drives these
- 50:08Speaker 7: Republican-leaning independent voters to vote Republican, not renaming New Mexico
- 50:13Speaker 7: and make Ontario. I'm sorry.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Fair enough. I appreciate it. No, it's fine. Thank you
- 50:18Speaker 3: very much for the call, Mike. I appreciate you calling in.
- 50:20Speaker 3: I know that John was there, too, but I think
- 50:21Speaker 3: he hung up. John is the, I think, kind of
- 50:25Speaker 3: crazy anarchist guy who calls this radio station sometimes. Oh,
- 50:29Speaker 3: wasn't it somebody else? OK, good. Russell's telling me it's
- 50:32Speaker 3: a different John. So then that conversation about groundwater might
- 50:35Speaker 3: not have been as as crazy. I was going to
- 50:37Speaker 3: respond to the idea that someone who objects to data
- 50:41Speaker 3: centers might say that the intense use of groundwater is
- 50:44Speaker 3: a problem. And I was going to respond to that
- 50:46Speaker 3: by saying that that's true. But there are ways to
- 50:48Speaker 3: mitigate that, especially over time. If you do things like
- 50:51Speaker 3: adopt nuclear power and then adopt refrigeration systems that might
- 50:56Speaker 3: allow for these data centers to use far less water
- 50:58Speaker 3: to cool themselves. But all of that is a down
- 51:01Speaker 3: the line process. And I do think that there's a
- 51:04Speaker 3: a push pull of us allowing ourselves to fall too
- 51:07Speaker 3: far behind, say, a China when it comes to building
- 51:09Speaker 3: data centers. They won't care about any of that. They
- 51:12Speaker 3: certainly won't care about the the environmental fallout of building
- 51:16Speaker 3: a data center. And so when we object in ways
- 51:19Speaker 3: that I don't think detrimentally change our society, these objections
- 51:23Speaker 3: are valid, but they're not ones that are as as
- 51:26Speaker 3: truthful as they are exaggerated by people who talk about them.
- 51:30Speaker 3: I think that they, in fact, become a problem that
- 51:33Speaker 3: pushes us further away from the end goal. And the
- 51:35Speaker 3: end goal will be to be the technology hub of
- 51:39Speaker 3: the world. We want to be the most advanced country
- 51:42Speaker 3: at all times from a military standpoint, from an information
- 51:47Speaker 3: and intelligence standpoint. We just do. We always want to
- 51:50Speaker 3: be at the forefront of that war. And we are.
- 51:53Speaker 3: And I think the data centers and the capability of them,
- 51:55Speaker 3: the processing power of them is the next big fight.
- 51:59Speaker 3: It's like Here's what I'll compare it to, and I
- 52:01Speaker 3: know I only have like a minute left, and I
- 52:03Speaker 3: know that that wasn't even the caller who was calling in,
- 52:06Speaker 3: or maybe that was the thing they were going to say,
- 52:07Speaker 3: but they hung up. I believe that this version of
- 52:11Speaker 3: finding a way to have data centers and technology within
- 52:14Speaker 3: the United States is similar to developing weapons. Same concept.
- 52:20Speaker 3: The amount of missiles we have, the amount of defense
- 52:23Speaker 3: capabilities we have in certain places, to me, is akin
- 52:27Speaker 3: to what data centers and the existence of them throughout
- 52:30Speaker 3: our country will be. It'll be like arming ourselves against
- 52:35Speaker 3: any threat anywhere in the world, and we have to
- 52:38Speaker 3: do it. Whether we want to do it or not
- 52:40Speaker 3: is irrelevant. I think we have to. All right, that's it.
- 52:43Speaker 3: That's the whole show. Thank you to the Lieutenant Governor,
- 52:46Speaker 3: Dan Patrick, for being on the show and saying nice
- 52:48Speaker 3: things about our brand-new morning show. And thank you to
- 52:51Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcefino for hanging out as he does every day
- 52:54Speaker 3: that he's available on this show, which will include tomorrow,
- 52:57Speaker 3: I think. Wayne will be back tomorrow. He seems to
- 53:00Speaker 3: like doing the show from his office with the really
- 53:02Speaker 3: cool Godfather poster in it. Talk to you guys tomorrow
- 53:05Speaker 3: on KSEV, The Voice of Texas.
